Steak house
Nestled in the charming Willcox area, Double S Steakhouse is a cozy restaurant that takes pride in celebrating local produce. The restaurant sources its steak from surrounding farms, honoring the area's legacy as the Cattle Capital of the World. With a focus on local farming, the owners bring 20 years of cooking expertise to create succulent prime rib, saucy chicken fried steak, and irresistible brisket sandwiches paired with farm-fresh salads.
This southwest steakhouse is a treat! Delicious tenderloin steak, to the green beans, iced tea and caramel filled churros. Great service with a smile. Sure wish I could get a steak like this near or home, but we're traveling today.
Dennis B — Google review
Service excellent, food not so much. The place was packed when we arrived which I thought was a good sign that we were about to eat something delicious. The locals must know something I don’t. I order loaded fries and my friend ordered the bean burger. Both of us were sorely disappointed. The waiter was so nice. He knew I was really hungry but unable to get over the dog slop on my plate so he offered to have the kitchen cook me a plain chicken breast with some fries. How can you screw that up? Well…they did. Fries were under cooked and soggy, and the chicken overcooked and dry. Everything had a weird flavor. I don’t know what else to say. Maybe stick to the steaks and you’ll have better luck. There’s not many places to eat in town.
Jane G — Google review
The staff was very nice and attentive. The food was a little too salty, I'm sure some people like it like that but not my personal preference. The Brussels sprouts were creative, sauteed with onions and nuts in a broth; a unique side dish which was nice. The pricing is a little bit expensive for the product and atmosphere.
Joe M — Google review
Dissatisfied!!! I stopped by because of a review of how delicious the chicken fried steak is. Chicken fried steak was no different than eating at Dennys. It was pre-made, including the role. For about $25, a plate I was expecting made from scratch. The flavor was okay. I also got mac n cheese. The noddles were a bit hard with full of flavor. Mashed potatoes were delicious and gravy. So if you get the chicken fried steak, it is not made from scratch, so in my opinion wayyy over priced. Also, the menu shows mac n cheese ad on $1.49 but the ticket says $2. The ranch is still watered down from the previous review I read. It hasn't changed. I guess try your luck with a steak or burger, which I haven't tried. The service was great! The atmosphere was great, quiet, and cool.
Lily O — Google review
The food was pretty good, although I can honestly say I was a little disappointed that there wasn't either sirloin steak nor a filet. The homemade mashed potatoes were good, but just a smidge dry and bland. But everyone in our group seemed to enjoy all of the food. A couple comments had been made though about not tasting any alcohol in the one drink they each got, so the ones who ordered those drinks didn't bother ordering a second drink. Overall, I would definitely go back again. It would be nice if they add sirloin and/or of filet to the menu. But like I said I'll go back. 🥩🍹

Another gem we found. We rode to a small town, Wilcox, Az. Stopped at Double S. Now when ya get here don't go all big city. We were met by a cheerful lady and engaged in a great conversation. She sat us at our table and was always there at the right time. Always smiling and making me feel I came to her house, not establishment. We order Texas Twinkies and thought, dear Lord, that is a meal in itself. Then our food came and it was amazing. My only problem was the fries. They needed to be cooked longer, but that was it. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you, Double S, for a wonderful afternoon. Your staff is awesome!!!!!!
Bobby R — Google review
I had such high hopes for this place. It was decorated very nice and looked updated. However, the food was mediocre at best. The brisket burger was so salty, I thought I was going to have a heart attack before I could finish it! No joke. The ranch dipping sauce was so watered down that it would run off my food as soon as I pulled my food out of the ranch. There was a hair in the chicken bacon wrap. There was plenty of staff walking around, yet somehow the service was super slow. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place.

Barbecue restaurant
Restaurant
Located in Willcox, AZ, Big Tex BBQ Restaurant is a must-visit dining spot with delicious food and friendly staff. The restaurant offers outstanding smoked brisket and a signature Stuffed Baked Potato that both kids and adults will enjoy. The Big Tex Super BBQ plate is a generous portion perfect for sharing, accompanied by large iced teas at an affordable price.
Absolutely amazing! If for any reason you find yourself in Wilcox or even within a hours drive, this place is worth traveling to! The food was fresh and so delicious. The meats were perfect, it's really hard to find good BBQ and this place nailed it. Even the drinks and salad bar were top tier. If you are looking for real smoked meat that tastes amazing this is the place.
Trevor B — Google review
If you are on I10 , East or West bound do yourself a huge favor…Go to Big Tex BBQ in downtown Willcox for Family Friendly service, good BBQ and food. Nice hometown atmosphere. Ordered Kilt Lifter beers, great beer for pairing with the Pork Spare Ribs Regular BBQ Platter & Chicken Fried Steak. Hand cut French Fries were good and the sauté Zucchini and Yellow Squash was great. They have a great menu selection from Burgers, Sandwiches, Pizza & BBQ, also have a salad bar but most importantly Blue Bell ice cream!
Gene B — Google review
Passby here to Chiricahua National Monument. Get some brisket and sides. The place is nicely decorated and clean. The price is a little higher than I expected but the food is good. The charge extra for using credit card but was not informed by the chashier. There was a small sign tells you about the xtra charge but si not very noticeable.
老Laoxi — Google review
The food here was really subpar for us. We are from the southeast and maybe are just used to a different style of bbq. The barbecue sauce was very heavy on what tasted like chili powder, the brisket was fatty and not very beefy in flavor, the rest was mediocre at best unfortunately it tasted like crockpot bbq, not real smoked meat. We were pretty disappointed with what we had and the cost per portion size on the side dishes was surprising. Our waitress was very sweet and kind. Fast service. We would not recommend this place personally, but did hear people at other tables saying how good their food was so…🤷🏻‍♀️
Jenevieve H — Google review
We visited Big Tex BBQ recently, hoping for a better experience than eight years ago when we found the food overpriced, bland, rubbery, and the service lacking. This time, some aspects improved, but overall, it fell short of expectations. Service: The waitress was wonderful, attentive, and understanding, making us feel welcome--a big step up from our last visit. Food: The food, unfortunately, disappointed. The brisket was overcooked, tough, bland, and flavorless, though the sausage was decent. The pork ribs seemed microwaved, with only three pieces that didn't feel like traditional BBQ. The fresh-cut French fries were good, and the large rolls were nice. The salad was fine, but the peaches were the highlight--fresh and tasty. The brisket tastes nothing like Texas brisket. No wood favor at all and very rubbery. Moist and melt in your mouth it was not. If served in Texas it would have been thrown back at the cook. Serious. If looking for real Texas BBQ in Arizona stop at Rudy's or Dickey's. Texas companies who know how it's done. Value and Atmosphere: Prices were $10 higher than our last visit, despite ordering less and sticking to water. A credit card surcharge felt unnecessary. Souvenirs like t-shirts ($35), stuffed animals, and cups were priced like a tourist spot, but the vibe was more of a local mom-and-pop diner. Final Thoughts: The kind waitress was a bright spot, but the food and value didn't impress. We won't return and can't recommend this restaurant. For better BBQ, consider other options. They need to remove Tex from the name.
Suzi D — Google review
Birn and bred true Texan. There are no words for what they exemplified as well Texas bbq. Pinto way over salted. Fries were greasy and soggy. Potato salad was cold lashed w relish in it. Ribs rocked but all else was tasteless and super dry. Lastly, Texas bbq sauce is not vinegar. Bathroom rocked.
Kim B — Google review
The food was good but not necessarily spectacular, except the onion rings. They were very good. The service was just okay. The waitress wasn't very friendly. She seemed like she really didn't want to be there. However, they were fast. We ordered and within minutes, it was served. It wasn't a bad experience, but I would not go out of my way to go back. We still tipped her well. Maybe she will be better with customers.
Lily R — Google review
No one helped us after being seated. Told to go sit on the patio, the only tables available only had 2 chairs, there were 3 of us. Waited at the table for a good while and no one even came to give us menus or anything, meanwhile everyone who came in after us were given menus. Used to love this place.

Mexican restaurant
La Unica Restaurant & Tortilleria in Willcox, Arizona is a unique find offering authentic Mexican cuisine. The restaurant serves typical Sonoran-style dishes like enchiladas, refried beans, and Mexican rice at reasonable prices. Visitors praise the generous portions and fresh homemade flour tortillas. While the food is not outstanding, it is enjoyable to eat. The restaurant has a rustic outdoor patio where guests can dine, and the service is friendly and efficient.
Well established, this non descriptive restaurant serves up a hearty meal quickly. A great stop for a quick bite or fulfilling meal. Chips and salsa come with your meal. You can also order a kilo of tortillas to take home. We had a couple of tacos which were perfect for lunch.

Great stop off the highway for lunch! Food was delicious and quick. The molcajete had great excellent and the perfect size to split. Highly recommend a stop here!
Marissa L — Google review
I was on a trip to New Mexico and my friends and I decided to get some lunch. La Unica is a little off the beaten path but well worth it! My friend and I shared a molcajete. There was more than enough for us to eat. Enchiladas for the other two people. One red enchiladas plate and the other shrimp. First of all the tortilla chips are hands down some of the best house-made chips I've had! Maybe the best. The salsa they brought out was also delicious and fresh. Our food came out right away and was very hot and delicious. The staff was very kind and patient with us as we decided what we wanted to eat. I highly recommend eating here if you are ever in Wilcox or at least nearby.

Atmosphere was really good. You could either sit outside or inside. Food and service were great if you're in Wilcox Az. Stop by. You won't regret it
Joyce L — Google review
Had a really authentic mexican lunch when passing through. The restaurant is lined with 🏀ns and blow ups. When you enter you walk through the patio. Area to a smaller enclosed section with inside tables and booths near the bar. We were there at lunch time on Wednesday and were seated immediately. We sat in a booth near the bar. Only one server was working all the tables but server was still good. For starters we ordered two mango margaritas. Very festive and good flavor. For the food i have to say the pictures of the food are missing a few bites, could not wait. We ordered the steak enchilada burrito. The sauce was delightful and was a well sized portion,as well as, a chile relleno combination. It was stuffed with cheese and egg and completely solved my hunger. The outside seating area was larger than inside and had heaters. When we we there us was too cold to eat outside, no one did. All in all highly recommend eating here. It is about 4 miles off the freeway on the business loop but totally worth it.

Very good Mexican food. Super cute spot. I love birria and their quesobirria tacos were fantastic. The dipping gravy make the flavor better. Yum.

Came here to try their Mexican as I had seen the reviews were nothing but positive. The entrance to the restaurant is located past the outdoor seating area. The little left handed entrance is a take out counter I believe. It’s a seat yourself anywhere situation. There isn’t a lot of indoor seating but plenty outdoors. The restaurant is clean and has what I imagine to be traditional Mexican decor and colours. The chairs are hand carved and it adds a little unique flare to the place. They have quite an extensive menu on hand. You get complimentary chips and salsa. The chips are fried tortilla chips which are super crispy and tasty. The salsa is so good. It’s not spicy at all and has a good handmade flavour. I dined for one so I was unable to finish it all. I ordered the carnitas a la pollo which came with fresh flour tortillas as my choice. The tortillas were in fact very fresh and warm. So decadent. The chicken wasn’t what i expected. I had anticipated a shredded chicken with some crisp as this is what carnitas normally is. Instead it was chicken strips in a mex flavour with peppers and onions. It was still very good nonetheless. The guacamole was fresh. I don’t know how they make their rice but oh my goodness it’s the best damn mexi rice I’ve ever had to date. Their beans are also pretty tasty. Fountain drinks provide a generous serving and allow for one free refill. The portion size was massive- I was able to take home left overs for lunch the following day. Service was prompt and friendly- with a nice smile. She was very kind and polite. The food took a bit of a wait but it was maybe 10-12 minutes- nothing major. The restaurant was not busy when I went. They also do take out. It’s clean and well kept, though more dated. Definitely recommend this location. If I wasn’t hitting the road today I’d have loved to return to try a burrito. Great prices too!
Vikki P — Google review
I was so pleasantly surprised by the food and service. The tortilla chips are the best I’ve had and could tell the salsa was homemade as well. The chicken mole was good, as was the ground beef wet burrito. Highly recommend, they were super busy and still managed to give us kind service.

Great lunch spot. But looks like woukd be fun in the evening. The salsa really is amazing enough to deserve the awards.

Amazing Authentic Mexican food!!! I've never had such a great salsa with my chips. Service is great. I loved the way they decorated. Can't wait to go back.

Over 30 minutes for a to go order that they got wrong and had to end up getting fixed and took even longer meanwhile there are only 5 tables with people at them. Unreal and that’s how I ultimately received my order people reviewing this place 5 stars are wild 😅

First time in Wilcox and had a hankering for Mexican food, and I’m glad we did . Even though we did take out, the service from ordering to pick up was exceptional. When we got our food to our room, we were delightfully surprised by the serving sizes(HUGE) The food was hot and packed with deliciousness, from the beans to the rice! My chimichanga was the crispiest I’ve ever had. You best believe we will be back!! 🔥 🔥🙌🙌🔥🔥
Lucky M — Google review
Nice place, friendly service. I had the fried tacos & they were good. I was surprised they used shredded beef in tacos instead ground beef. Enchilada was great but did not care for the sauce, tasted like pure tomato sauce. Tostado was good, but tomato sauce from enchilada got all over it, so another plate for tostado would be nice. The chips were awesome, as was the scratch made salsa, some of best I have ever had. The salsa bar is great. I recommend this place.
Kyle H — Google review
Loved the fire roasted salsa! And the enchiladas were excellent. Service wasn't that great though as the staff never checked on me after the order. Wasn't clear where to pay and they didn't say anything about paying up front until I had to track someone down and say I needed to pay.

Great place to stop for real food on a long stretch of road. Clean environment , nice sweet waitress. Definitely slow service at night but that’s to be expected. There was many people eating there. Definitely recommend. Hubby had the pancake combo and I the American Standard smash burger.

*** DISAPPOINTING *** Lone server worker who was visually busier than a long tailed cat at a rocking chair convention provided outstanding service. We had intended to order decaf coffee but that proved problematic when we were oddly advised that they don't have any???? Additionally ordering proved equally problematic since the wide selection of toast was either smashed or still frozen limiting it to only white bread. Food was simply unimpressive and diminished in any flavor, WOW clearly isn't on the menu. Low quality ingredients with aggressive portion control. Additionally we found our food to be EXCESSIVELY oily / greasy. Even the toast arrived wet, saturated in what I guess was with margarine. We asked for ketchup and the bottle arrived an absolute mess. I question if it's ever been cleaned??? Serving at tableside qualified as a professional embarrassment to the wait staff. My water glass had dried onion skins attached to it. I just removed it and went on but it contributed to the low value review. I don't know why a server would ever serve anything to the paying public that they themselves clearly wouldn't want served to them. Not an establishment that I can highly recommend. I wasn't expecting perfection, just their best effort and our experience fell noticably short. ************************************* Response to business response: My review is rather straight forward and accurately to the point. Rather then direct me to your email for additional "investigation" why don't you instead simply address the concerns noted in the review? Your response makes you appear deceptive and disingenuous.

I came here to get some Fish and fries. They were out of Fish, so I decided to get the buffalo chicken tenders and Mac and cheese This is what I got for almost $19. I think this is unfair to the drivers who get their food here. The portion was really small. The taste was average
Munir B — Google review
Poor quality food, worse quality service. Eggs, hash browns & corned beef hash all greasy & tasted like beef or burgers that were previously cooked on grill. Biscuit for biscuit & gravy was buttered & toasted on the grill. I would've said I didn't want it like that had the waitress bothered to ask me. The few questions & comments from her were monotone & not once did she smile. I'm 70 so I understand not having the energy I had 20 or 30 years ago, but if you can't be friendly, don't work with the public. She never checked on us once & she put our ticket on the table without a single word, much less a thank you. We will never go back.
Miss 1 — Google review
THEY ELIMINATED THE BUFFET COMPLETELY! Its menu only! Service was slow and barely available, as there was only 1 server and 1 cook! The food came out under cooked. We had to wait, FOREVER, to get the servers attention to get it fixed. Then the steak recook sat in the food window another eternity before she brought it back over. If you're gonna run with only one server, there shud at least be a manager stepping in to help!
Buddo H — Google review
Service was very slow but it was only one person and one cook the waitress was very friendly and this review should not reflect on her at all. Food was outrageously expensive and omelet was 17$ eggs were super shiny, hash browns burnt, corn beef hash seemed like chopped up spam not actual corn beef hash. However for a roadside gas station chain diner the glasses were super clean usually places like this you don't even wanna touch the drinks due to how the glasses look everything was super clean. Main area smells like farts when you walk in but might be the gas station part.
Ashely M — Google review
Nice little version of this chain restaurant. My server was polite. The restaurant is clean and neat. My order took longer to prepare considering that it was a garden salad with pieces of cold chicken so no cooking was involved and the restaurant wasn't crowded. The salad was very good once it arrived. It's in a TA truck stop.
Henry F — Google review
We had a nice visit here at Country Pride. Our server was really nice. We shared the Jalapeños cheeseburger and it was so good; it came with 2 huge patties. The onion 🧅 rings and French fries 🍟 were yummy as well. On the back of every booth was a quote. I took pictures of both of ours 😄😀.

The dining experience at Adolfo's Taco Shop was remarkable, with delectable dishes and generous portions. The food arrived promptly upon seating, ensuring a quick service. However, it could be improved by adding more ingredients to the beans and the bean burrito for enhanced taste. Additional options like different types of salsa or flavorful sauces would have been welcomed. The establishment maintained cleanliness throughout, leaving a positive impression on customers.

Roadrunner Kafe is a family style eatery with super friendly service and great food. We ordered fish and chips, tombstone burgers and 2 kids meals. I ate 2 out of 3 pieces of fish before realizing a pic. Because it's located right next to a big travel center, I was expecting some tourist traps that never expected you to come back, but the food was surprisingly good. I highly recommend it.

We were passing through AZ and just needed to stop for dinner. We found this place at an RV campsite and I honestly didn't expect much. The location is kind of hidden away. We ordered the Mac & Cheese, Chicken Penne Alfredo, Cobb Salad, and Grilled Chicken Sandwich. The food was actually pretty good and I enjoyed my salad. Service was great. There's indoor and outdoor seating. As we were walking out, the manager was very nice to us.

So I got to this place just based off the reviews and they are in the KOA campground. Food was awesome! My waitress (Jordan) was very polite and friendly, she was busy cleaning and managing my needs effortlessly. The stuffed french toast was crispy on the outside and perfectly gooey and creamy on the inside. Awesome food! I even got a burger to go. They also sell Blue Bell ice cream!

A Must-Stop Café in Willcox Review: Roadrunner Kafé is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, you feel welcomed by the friendly staff and the cozy, inviting atmosphere. The food is hearty, flavorful, and generously portioned—perfect for travelers or anyone looking for a satisfying meal. Their Arizona omelet is amazing, and you can’t go wrong with the comfort food favorites like chicken fried steak or burgers. Don’t forget to treat yourself to a hand-dipped ice cream or root beer float. Conveniently located behind Love’s off I-10, it’s easy to stop by whether you’re camping at the KOA or just passing through. Highly recommend Roadrunner Kafé for anyone visiting Willcox!

The the adorable young lady that took care of me a few weeks back - you are amazing! Your family should be proud. This place was almost empty on a Wednesday morning and this young lady was perfect. She clearly cared, she worked hard, she was kind and she loved what she did. That’s all so rare now. My breakfast sammich was amazing and the service made me think I was at some exotic resort. They have local owned nick nacks and treats. Next time I go back I think I’ll stay at the KOA just so I can eat here more often. That starts from the service and is supported by the amazing food. You can’t go wrong here so long as they keep hiring kids that are so amazing, caring and kind. A great spot with great people and frat food. Enjoy it when you stop in Willcox. You won’t regret it.

If you're a pastry enthusiast, The Bakester's Pastries is a delightful destination that promises to satisfy your cravings. This charming café offers an array of delectable pastries, sandwiches, and baked goods that perfectly complement their freshly brewed coffee. With its inviting atmosphere featuring a long wooden table and artistic decor, along with friendly staff who provide efficient service, it's an experience not to be missed. On my first visit, I decided to dine in and opted for the Cuban and Italian sandwiches.
I love this place! It's the only place in town my picky husband will eat at. We go for the food more-so than the pastries. If you look at the board, the prices seem high, but then you get all that food and wonder how you're going to fit it in your face. It's well worth it! (I had more food pictures, but can't find them.) My friend wanted to have a celebration with all our friends, 17 of us showed up. They kept up with us and all 17 individual orders. She ordered 2 cakes thinking there was no way 1 would feed us all. It almost did, if the slices were normal, it would have. We all stopped in our tracks as one of the young folks suddenly shouted, "This is the best cake I've ever had!" We had to agree.

This place was amazing! We ordered the Full Monte and it did not disappoint. The portions are huge and the price was very fair. We also bought a Danish and the biggest snickerdoodle cookie. Clean, quick and adorable. Well worth the detour...

This is my go to for many reasons. Starting from the front door, the moment you cross the threshold you are greeted with happiness, and joy. The food is always delicious, larger portions than you pay for. The owner take such pride in her work, she strives to make sure that you are satisfied. I feel her view is that it’s better to send you home with extra or togo than not enough from when you ordered. Every pastry or dessert is made by hand. You know you aren’t getting store bought, the moment you just set eyes on the pastry display. The pasta dinner is an absolute must, I’ve paid more and gotten less at other places but not here. Again you get more than what you paid for, and to top it off you get quality with quantity. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for service, quality, quantity, cost, but most importantly atmosphere. This place makes you feel at home.

This place is phenomenal! 🌟 features delicious sandwiches and mouth watering cinnamon rolls and other yummy desserts. The owner Leigha and her team have a passion for flavor and creating a cozy ambience, which makes this place a treasure and worth a visit. Plus, they sell handmade, natural soaps, soaking salts and gifts.

This was my most recent visit. I was waiting for parts at an auto parts store. It was lunch time so I tried the patty melt. The bread is excellent and the sauteed onions and mushrooms on a cheesy burger was the perfect comfort food on a wintery day. This is a good place to eat. Don't forget the pastries!

Amazing drinks and sweet treats. With an old home feel dinning room. Come walk historic Willcox and enjoy lunch at this amazing place. Friendly staff and amazing tasty food. From breakfast to lunch. Bread bowls are to die for but get there early they sell fast.

Leigha was very pleasant to work with. I went to several bakers to make my wedding cake and Leigha was the only one who was professional and passionate about her work. She was honest and upfront about her costs and didn’t do any pressure sales. Her cake was delicious and there were several options to choose from. I would recommend her to everyone and I even did it at my own wedding because I was super impressed with her work. She’s so great to work with, she would handle my request through texts and respond very quickly. If you’re looking for a baker who is a dream to work with, she is it.

Leigha and her staff are amazing. The breakfast sandwich with the ham, egg and cheese is yummy, and if you have never had a Lox Bagel, you don't know what you're missing! The different drinks are really cool to try out, so far my favorite is the honeydew lemonade, and the lunch sandwiches are not only totally awesome, but HUGE. Save room for dessert!! Her desserts are to die for! 😊

On Sunday, my spouse and I visited Coronado Vineyards and were highly impressed. The establishment boasts a delightful ambiance and offers an exceptional selection of wine. One aspect we particularly appreciate is the option to pair the delectable food with our chosen wines. Unfortunately, the outdoor seating was not feasible due to strong winds that day. While Coronado Vineyards may be slightly pricier compared to other local establishments, we found it well worth the cost.
Experienced excellent wine and food at the Coronado Vineyards in Willcox, Arizona today. Beautiful surroundings and vistas. Met the owner who was so gracious and lovely. Our waitress Amari was so delightful and knowledgeable of both the wine and food. Will definitely be going back again.

Stopped here on my way to Tucson from El Paso. Really appreciate their location being right off the highway and easy to get to. Good service, though I would have liked to hear about the winery and wines I was tasting. It wasn't busy at all. Really liked the cheeseboard. They accommodated my nut allergy and replaced the item with something else. Cute gift shop. Definitely worth a stop if you're nearby or traveling through.

Terrific winery/vineyard. Wonderful Charcuterie selection, both are ample large for 4-5 people, and the small 2-3 people. The wine selection is extremely diverse, with a choice four 2oz's each 8 oz total for a flight. Leslie was very sweet and accommodating. Pets welcome outside on one of many outdoor wine and dining experiences plus the inside dining is nice too. Definitely gives intimate Vinyard feels in an petite old town in Spain, or Tuscany. Only downside is The Cab is never available in a flight only bottle purchased, and the Faved Conquistador is always sold out completely; this time and the last we were here. This was our fourth time, and it's always relaxing, peaceful, and joyful experience. Over all rating 4.75

We wanted to like Coronado Vineyards as we had 2 different people suggest we stop for a tasting. Unfortunately, it was not a nice experience. As soon as we walked in, two people in our group had to leave to wait in the car due to the smell. The entire building smelt as if it had been saturated in some floral scent. It was very strong and triggered my husband’s migraines. Three of us stayed for tastings. We did not find a wine we liked even though, between us we’d tried every wine they offered. Most were bitter or had a sour finish. I mentioned this to the girl who served us. She checked the date on the bottle and proclaimed it was fine. Not pleasant at all. We had planned on staying for lunch because we’d heard great things about the menu, but we couldn’t eat with the overpowering smell in the building.

Tyler was an outstanding host at the vineyard today. The chef created delicious dishes - we enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip, pistachio encrusted chicken skewers and the ravioli & meatballs. It was a perfect afternoon overlooking the vineyard where workers were trimming the vines in front of us. Thanks for the great experience.

Beautiful place with picturesque views. Top notch service and great wines. We could sit at a bar or one of many cozy chairs overlooking the vines, mountains and outdoor venue - gorgeous and relaxing. The best experience was meeting the owner and learning the history of this place. We will be a back!

The dining experience at Plaza Mexican American Food was exceptional. The Grilled Chicken Salad was absolutely fantastic, and the club sandwich with chips and salsa was also highly enjoyable. The service provided by Desiree was outstanding, as she efficiently and cheerfully attended to our needs with a lovely smile. It is refreshing to receive such excellent customer service in a time when it is often lacking. Additionally, Juan Rodriguez, the owner of Plaza Food, deserves recognition for maintaining an overall high level of excellence throughout the establishment.
Really amazing food. Really full of flavor and the portion sizes are so big per cost of each plate. Really friendly staff and the restaurant was very clean and well stocked when I went in. Waiting for the food was a resonible amount of time. It is a seat yourself down type of place.

What a meal!!! I have been so disappointed with salads lately but the Grilled Chicken Salad at Plaza Food —Mexican American—was INSANITY!!! My friend loved his club sandwich & the chips & salsa which I put on my salad as well... I’ll be dreaming about our next meal here when we get back to Wilcox. Thank you, beautiful Desiree for the cheerful, excellent service! Thank you for your efficiency & lovely smile. Such a pleasure since these days customer service is generally in the toilet. Rodney's is a small, local spot in Wilcox, AZ that unfortunately closed down due to lease issues. The owner has moved out and the place is no longer operational. However, if you're looking for an alternative dining option in the area, the Road Runner Cafe at the Willcox KOA comes highly recommended for its great food and reasonable prices.
You have to stop at Rodney's when in or near Wilcox, AZ. On our road trip back from Tucson we Googled and found this place as a suggestion. Great choice. Cheap delicious home cooked food. We paid 26 dollars for 5 people with drinks included. My BBQ with beans was delicious. Chili dod was also good. Make sure to stop here. Rodney's was a perfect spot for us.
Marcio C — Google review
If you have ever used the term "hole-in-the-wall" to describe a restaurant, bar, or store, you'll understand what it truly means once you eat at Rodney's. We met Rodney the day we stopped in to have some of his famous catfish and Cajun food and he was kind enough to give us a tour of the whole 250 square feet. We sat in the back courtyard and enjoyed our meal under the shade trees that beautifully provide a cool place in a hot town. Rodney has carved out a niche for himself in another way by offering tasty food comes from his home state in Lousiana. Where else can you get Gumbo like mother used to make?

Besides the fact that Rodney is super friendly and the place has great local color with lots of local visitors the food was fabulous. Eating on the sidewalk was never so good. Highly recommended if you're ever near Willcox Arizona.

*Rodney's has much Tastier and Fresh burgers, than any place, in Willcox, Az.! *(Including: Fish, Shrimp, Steak, Vegetables, & Much more!) ☺️👍😉 *Be guaranteed, that, Rodney is Always a gentleman. (Burger King costs more, and has less wholesome food. And, no ambiance.)

This place is really a gem. So glad we stumbled upon it! Prices were pretty low, food was awesome! The bbq was delicious, the gumbo was amazing! My daughter got the catfish and cleaned her plate. The atmosphere is a little off-beat.. but not bad... It feels a lot like having a picnic in a friends back yard. We had some bees harass us for our sodas, but it was a really great meal. My family of 5 ate large meals all for under $40
Heather H — Google review
Rodney, the owner, was a really nice guy...and it was one of the only independent restaurants in Willcox that was open. Its definitely a no frills place and even tho it says "patio and beer garden", apparently there hasn't been beer for about 5 years. The menu is limited and all come with the same side dishes. My husband had the ribs...they weren't on the bone but the meat was really tender. I had the Shrimp Creole which left a lot to be desired. There was a nice communal feel with the two other couples eating there...all at the same table. Overall, there was good and not so good. Would go back if, again, it was the only place open besides fast food or pizza hut.
Lea U — Google review
Don't let the looks of Rodney's fool you. Truly home made food with large servings. Great taste and warm friendly people. It's outside dining only but with the beautiful courtyard, I wouldn't want to eat inside anyhow. Will definitely be back.
Benjamin H — Google review
The food was good but it was clear that it was the end of the day. Our beans were burnt with little burnt bits from the bottom of the pot and our rice was half crunchy and half mushy. The green beans tasted as if they were canned but had some decent seasoning on them. The thing that saved it from a 2 Star was the fish with the creole sauce. It had good flavor and the fish was cooked well.

Rix's Tavern, a unique establishment discovered while exploring Chiricahua National Monument, offers a delightful surprise to visitors. Here, patrons have the opportunity to cook their own dinners using two available grills and select from a variety of sides. Along with this engaging experience, Rix's provides additional amenities such as a pool, live music, dance floor, and an expansive bar. The warm and welcoming staff and locals ensure that every dining experience is enjoyable.
So, on Friday night, we walked from our hotel to Rixs. They had this cool menu where you could order burgers, steak, or chicken, but the catch was, you had to cook it yourself! Can you believe that? The bartender, Carol, was super chill. She was like, "Hey, grab a drink first, then take it over to the grill and cook your food." It was so much fun! We saw this group in front of us who weren't into the whole cooking thing, so they just left. But we were all about it! They brought out our burgers, and we started grilling them up. They had all the fixings and seasonings, so we went wild and it was such a fun experience. The locals were super friendly, Dakota made delicious drinks, the music was great, and people playing pool. The vibes at Rixs were definitely on point, and we'll for sure be going back again.

Didn't feel like waiting at another restaurant so come upon this one. Well.......it was a cook your own steak, burger, etc. Sides were choice of bland baked beans salad bar was a bit light on amounts. Texas toast, baked potato came with steaks. Price was great! Of course we did all the cooking 🤣🤣🤣. I would still recommend for the experience and the laughs.

Food is terrible, frozen Safeway steaks, wilted old salad out of Safeway bagged salad, and beans are cheapest canned with no flavor. Absolutely no effort to be a nice place to eat. Flies everywhere landing on all the food.

I stumbled upon this unique establishment when visiting Chiricahua National Monument. Imagine my surprise when I got to cook my own dinner, my own way. 2 grills are set up for cooking and you can choose from a variety of sides. Awesome Pizza Hut, super fast delivery to nearby hotel. Food was still so hot, I had to let it cool down before I could eat it. Nice work! Friendly delivery driver too. All around, a good experience, thank you!

I am sad that Pizza Hut did not fully come back pist covid. There are no more salads or lunch buffets. Most locations make you order at the counter. I don't forsee Pizza Hut lasting too much longer unless Pepsi continues to carry them. There are too many better options. Our server was SUPER nice. We did not order apps as wings are the only option. The puzza took FOREVERRRRR to make even though we were the only ones there and barely any to-go orders. Pizza was barely cooked completely. Puzza Hut used to be a whole vibe and experience. Now they have the same stuff as Little Ceasers but with a higher cost. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit to PH. Too much money for too few mediocre options.

Tirrito Farm, located between Wilcox and Pearce with stunning views of the Dos Cabezas Peaks and Chiricahua Mountains, is an up-and-coming farm that offers a range of experiences. The property features a farm-to-table restaurant, brewery, gourmet sundry store, vineyard, and lodging options including glamping yurts. The ambiance at Tirrito Farm is cozy and rustic, creating the perfect setting for a romantic evening.
We had a lovely Mother’s Day lunch at Tirrito Farms, and it was an absolute treat. Everything was delicious and the elk steak was so tender you didn’t even need a knife. Truly the best elk I’ve ever had! They also accommodated my dietary restriction by offering a gluten-free dessert option. I believe the server called it a chocolate windmill cake, and I’ve been thinking about that slice ever since! Their cocktails are just as beautiful as they are tasty. I can’t wait to go back! The atmosphere is beautiful and feels upscale, especially for Willcox. If you ever get the chance to try their house-made ice cream, don’t hesitate, it is glorious.

This is a very nice venue on the outskirts of Wilcox. They have lodging (tents) as well as a restaurant, and a bar/tasting room, a nice outside play area for kids and a big room to host events/receptions. We were in the bar and had a great beer at a great price $6, and a good wine but a small pour (5oz) at a pretty high price $15. That seemed odd but the bartender, Ron, was very nice and helpful. The artichoke dip/bread-bowl was good. We watched some entrees pass by, and some (like the rack of lamb) looked amazing. We liked it a lot, overall! VictorB

We had the best time staying in the Barbie dome. We brought our two kids and the staff was really accommodating. The farm tour was really fun and the kids got to feet the cows and goats. The room was spacious and it comfortably slept 4. They played live music during the evening while the kids danced and we ate dinner. Everyone was friendly, including the guests! Would stay here again and recommend this place to others. The owners story is really cool and unique!

We booked The Hive dome, and it was awesome! Very clean and spacious. It was definitely a unique experience! We went on the farm tour, and our guide was very informative and answered all our questions. Lots of farm animals, and we loved their dog Pancho and 2 farm cats that were so friendly and followed us all around. Cafe was cute and sold Iced Latte's and breakfast sandwiches and some other snacks. Stars were so beautiful at night...so dark and peacefully quiet. We definitely will be back!

We went to Tirrito Farms for drinks and dinner. We were staying in Willcox prior to getting up early to pick grapes at a local vineyard and wanted a finer dining experience. I was hoping for a farm to table type experience. This is a review for the restaurant only (we did not stay in the lodging at the farm). The brewery was a pleasant surprise! They have quite a selection of micro brews and I enjoyed a flight. My husband tried one of the creative margaritas (Carmel Apple). He said it was interesting in a good way. There were 2 other parties in the bar that were finishing up their ordered food. The bartender was friendly and attentive and we enjoyed our time in the bar. We had reservations for dinner in the dining room. It was a Friday night at 7:30 and there were 3 or 4 other parties finishing up eating in dining room. The server was friendly and attentive. I felt the food was over priced for what you get. We had a $30 gourmet burger, the Caprese. It was served with fries or a side salad (we got both). The bun was good but very thin, which generally would not be an issue for me but I ran out of bun and had to eat the last few bites with no bun. The flavor profile of this burger was delicious. I will definitely add balsamic to my burgers at home in the future! But the meat was ordered medium rare and it came out medium. The slice of mozzarella was extremely thin (especially with the $30 price tag) and the tomato was also thin. Again, at this price tag (and because we were at a farm) I would have expected a beef steak or heirloom tomato. The burger did have a sufficient amount of tasty basil that was not wilted or brown. The fries were just thick cut fries. They did not seem to be homemade and they did not have any special seasoning. You had a choice of catsup or ranch. The dressing choices for the salad were ranch, blue cheese, or balsamic vinaigrette. These also did not seem to be homemade or special in any way. I ordered the burger because so many of the other menu items were not homemade (they do not make their own pastas, there was lobster ravioli and gnocchi on the menu, but they do make their own sauce). The prime rib items are available at lunch only, not for dinner. There were not any farm to table menu items. Two burgers, the 2 pasta dishes, flatbread pizza, a steak, tuna, and one other dish. No nightly special. The dinner menu also does not have salads on it. There was all this corn growing in the fields surrounding the farm and the farm tour comments indicate that the farm makes milk. It would have been nice for any of the menu items (even as a nightly special) to have come from the farm in some way. Verdict ? It was definitely a better dining option than has been available on my previous trips to Willcox. The micro brewery is worth a trip. Dinner is not a good value but I am not sure there is any competition in the area that would offer anything better. What really drove the 3 star rating was not meeting expectations that their own website set (Our mission is to provide a seasonally inspired menu with locally sourced organic ingredients whenever possible. We work with local producers and source from our own gardens, creamery and dairy farm for the ultimately sustainable menu.)
Niki H — Google review
This is a one-star review, and honestly, if I could give less, I would. We had been looking forward to our stay at TirrIto Farms for a week. The photos looked beautiful, the promise of live music and a brewery open until 9 had us so excited to finally relax after a long trip. We drove all the way from Escondido, California, with two kids — including a very small baby — and faced unforeseen difficulties along the way. Still, we were set to arrive before the brewery even closed. After hours on the road and having no other place booked, this was our only option, and we trusted that a place presenting itself online as “family friendly” and community-oriented would show some understanding. Instead, we were met with coldness and zero compassion. They flat out refused to accommodate us. No flexibility, no kindness, no consideration for the fact that we had traveled hundreds of miles with children in tow. We were left stranded in Willcox with exhausted kids and absolutely no alternatives. For a place that promotes itself as welcoming to families and visitors, what we experienced was the exact opposite. They turned what should have been a special evening into one of the most stressful nights of our trip. Shameful and completely unacceptable.

This was a great spot to stop! We stayed in the Hive Dome and it was perfect! Incredible views of the stars! Can’t speak to the food or farm tours, as they aren’t available while we were there. The only downside was the strong cleaner smell when we arrived, we opened windows and left the door open for a few hours and it helped.

Torrito Farms is the gem of Willcox. Chance was a bright spot in our stay, making us feel welcome and like we were a priority as guests. Robert was mixing drinks and offered great banter and conversation. The rest of the staff were warm and eager to please. Have the burger and fries during your stay! So good! The domes were a unique experience In a beautiful surrounding. They were clean and so very comfortable. The theme in the beehive dome and the amenities within did not disappoint. If this is the norm for glamping, I can’t wait to do it again! The farm tour was so much fun with a guide that oozes happiness and pride in his role on the farm. Do the milking experience if you can. My husband loved it. They just launched a new sweet wine….so we came home with a case. Yes, it’s really that good. We took a drive to hike the Chiricahua monument. BEAUTIFUL! Totally worth the drive. Great views with hiking options for all skill levels. Great stay!

Never ever again, first time at Popeyes , got ripped off, 5 chicken tenders , mashed potatoes and/ordered rice and beans ( received French fries ) For almost $26???? Are you guys serious? Besides the price the tenders looked like leftovers from the previous day. Dry, chewy we could not eat them, and they ended up with all the sides inside a trash can at a rest area.

I grab food here when I pass through a few times a year. The employees over the years have always been great. But now, they are forcing you to use giant self-order screens at the counter, which took 2x longer than giving an order to an employee. All while an employee stands there waiting for you to complete the order. And, I was going to pay in cash, which you can't do at the screen, so an employee still had to find my order in the system (took quite a while) and take my payment. The employees are great, it's not their fault that management and corporate are pushing these self-order machines on the customer.

Manager was rude. They forgot some things in our order then had an attitude like I’m lying about it. Seriously!!! The fries were cold and dippers is just basically breading. The wrap was gross! We waited awhile to get order. Get it together Popeyes!! Not again
Barbara M — Google review
Unfortunately food not fresh ran out of food and did not fulfill the orders. Needed more help so this was a management screw up.

Just had to post. I didn't stop to grab food from here because of all the negative reviews. You guys will be losing customers based on these alone.

My husband and I ordered the 16 piece meal. At 6 pm on a Saturday we had to wait 45 minutes to get our order and only got 2 biscuits. We will never stop here again.

I really had a good experience at this place. since II didn't have any cheese on my Pizza, the lady threw in pineapple topping for free. They have lots of tables and the food comes out hot. They also have salads and a very small salad bar. If you want a side to your pizza or if you want to just enjoy the small salad bar all by itself.

I was very surprised at this unassuming pizza stop, that had some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. We ordered the stuffed crust 14” which came in a substantial portion (we two adults finished about half). The veggies on top were absolutely loaded, the veggies were nice and fresh, and the crust is delicious. Fantastic pizza!

My husband and I came here for lunch and it was AMAZING! The food was delicious and all of the employees were SO friendly! We will definitely be back. My husband ordered the Maui BBQ Chicken pizza and I ordered the Classic Sandwich with turkey!
Chelsea S — Google review
Really bad service and the worst philly cheesesteak sandwich I ever had. Hopefully, their pizza is better, but I doubt if I'll ever try it.

Me and my nephew stopped in on our way to a camping trip. We both loved the pizza and we couldn’t get enough of the garlic bread sticks! They also have a special drink menu. My nephew and I both suggest trying Charlie’s Dream! This place may be a chain but it’s family owned and it shows. The service was truly amazing. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and the atmosphere was great. If you live in or you’re just passing through Willcox I would highly recommend that you stop by.

A late night urge for pizza while on a road trip across AZ led us to R&R pizza. The awesome staff agreed to cook up our pizza and hold it for us even though we wouldn't be coming though Wilcox until well after they closed... The pizza was worth it! When ordering at a local pizza place for the first time, how can you not order the hometown special? I've never had a honey mustard and green chili pizza, but it was delicious!

We had a fantastic dining experience at R&R Pizza in Willcox, Arizona! The four of us (two couples) went for dinner and ordered two different types of pizzas — both were absolutely delicious. The crust was perfect, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. It’s clear they take pride in their pizza, and it truly shows. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, making sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. The restaurant itself was spotless, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be coming back next time we’re in town. If you’re craving great pizza with excellent service, R&R Pizza is the place to go.

Stopping in Willcox for the night as we traveled across I-10, we ordered ahead to-go and hoped for the best as we headed to our hotel. It was great! My calzone was generously filled with good-quality toppings, and most surprising was how good the dough was. Crispy, with an almost soft-pretzel-like texture along the edges of the calzone. Good stuff! I can’t fairly rate the atmosphere or service— I’m sure they are good, but we dashed in and out, tired from our drive.

This hidden gem in Willcox is so much more than just a vineyard — it’s a beautiful space that supports and uplifts local businesses. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed into a peaceful atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and stay a while.

Olive Cafe is a hidden gem in Wilcox. It is located about 20 miles from I-10 but makes for a great lunch spot if you are driving by or if you are visiting any of the nearby monuments. We ordered the Italian sandwich in their focaccia bread, the seasonal bruschetta and pizza. The sandwich was as good as the sandwiches we have eaten in Italy! We also had their Sarah pizza and the flavors were delicious. The service was fantastic as well! Their patio is dog friendly. While there, we learned they also have two beautiful farm stays for overnight accommodation. This would be a great spot to stay for a day trip to Bisbee or to just go wine tasting in Wilcox with your friends.

We had a fantastic experience at Olives. Food was great and not overpriced. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere can’t be matched. Owner came out and explained different varieties of lavender. Just had a great time.

Great new restaurant in the area. Enjoyed a GREAT bottle of wine and 2 delicious sandwiches on homemade focaccia. Seating is ample both inside and outside. Highly recommended if you’re going to Chiricahua or just passing through on I 10.

Very yummy fresh food. Great ambiance, and beautiful views. Cant wait to go when the Lavender is blooming. -Lavender and Matcha macaroons, The Sara pizza, and Goat cheese salad

This place is truly a hidden gem. We enjoyed a lovely lunch on the patio. The atmosphere is so charming. Liz was so kind and fun to talk to. She took great care of us. There is wine, bubbles, beer and cocktails to choose from. Fun desserts. Great menu. We will definitely go back and bring our friends!!

The prices for the food were surprising. I expected the Garden salad for $5 to be a small side salad, but what was delivered to our table was large and had cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onions with proper dressing — for $5. The Veg sandwich was also large with complex ingredients made on delicious fresh focaccia bread and cost $13; the photo is of half the sandwich because I had already eaten the other half. The Sara pizza slice, for $8, was big and had a bunch of tasty cheeses melted on top (again, on fresh focaccia). Then we paid $4 for a decent serving of ice cream, which was chocolate pistachio from a creamery nearby. Unfortunately, the pistachios were whole, and pistachios are difficult to chew within ice cream, so I do not recommend that flavor. I’m sure the lavender honey flavor is the way to go with the ice cream. Although, the $2 cookie is probably huge and tasty, too. The food that I paid $30 for I would have paid $38 to $41 for. I believe the owner of the restaurant could modestly increase prices without losing business. I know wine and olives are a major factor of the business and locality, but the food and service at Olive’s is good enough that the food can stand on its own at higher prices. The hostess/chef was friendly and engaging. We also ordered a bottle of wine and received a classy bucket of ice water for it. The interior is clean and modern and spacious; there is an outdoor seating area that wraps around the building. There’s a space of fake grass that has cornhole boards set up, as well.
