Located in North Kansas City, Chicken N Pickle is a unique venue that offers a wood-clad, chicken-centric joint with a patio, rooftop bar, and pickleball courts. It's the perfect spot for a Sunday Funday with friends, offering great food and drinks alongside patio games and pickleball. The outdoor space is dog-friendly, so even your furry friend can join in on the fun. The restaurant features delicious woodfired rotisserie chicken with various seasoning and sauce options.
This is a happening place! It’s much more than just a place to eat. You can play corn hole and ping pong for free while you wait. You can reserve a pickle ball court for whatever time works for you. We walked in at 8:16 and reserved a court for 9:30 (earliest available). The atmosphere is fun and you can sit inside or outside. The chicken and waffles were delicious and so was Bill’s Salad. I had the ribs which were a little tough. But, to be fair, this is a chicken place. 😁

Fun environment, friendly and attentive staff, delicious food. Booked a couple of outdoor courts for a youth group outing. Check-in process was easy, we played for a while, stopped for dinner, then back to playing. I’m pretty sure we all ordered the chicken and waffles and they were SO good!! Definitely recommend Chicken N Pickle for an evening out!!

I have nothing but praise for this place! The atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming, with an energy that makes you feel right at home. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and really on top of things, which adds so much to the experience. It’s a fantastic spot to bring friends and family since there’s something for everyone—indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, plus cornhole if you want to switch it up. The venue is spotless, well-maintained, and very organized, which makes the whole visit enjoyable. On top of that, there’s a wide variety of drink options to choose from, so you can relax and refresh after a game. A fun, clean, and lively place you’ll want to come back to again and again!
Penelope S — Google review
Went here because they were open late and wish we’d come earlier! It had just rained so it was empty, but looked like so much fun! The food was delicious (yay for fried pickles!), the beer was tasty (had the Space Ranger), and the games were so fun! It would be a super fun place to watch a game too as there were so many TV’s. Highly recommend!!

Avery was a wonderful server! I’m back in my home town for my birthday from Texas. Came to try out Chick N Pickle for the first time annd had a great time! Avery was Always checking up on us and making sure we are good. Never had a time we didn’t have a drink full! Even gave me a Chicken Cake Pop! 🫶 Thank you for making it a great start! 🙌

My favorite place in the world to get breakfast, home made cats head biscuit and delicious gravy....gone from the Menu. Biggest mistake EVER. Take a cue from Cracker Barrel C&P...people want their home cooking and GRAVY. oh my goodness this is horrible news for this place that I used to eat at most every weekend.....come on guys! I was forced to get waffles and chicken....chicken was hot but the waffle was so cold it would not even melt buttter....so disappointed cause this place is better than that....I feel a tear coming on.
Matt R — Google review
I have been here several times and I wish I had taken pictures when it was nicer weather and you could see everything that goes on outside. When I go back this spring/summer I will try to add photos. This is such a fun place! It doesn't matter what age you are or what level of athlete. Every time I come to Kansas City to visit family, we always schedule to come here. You can only schedule 2 weeks out. And sometimes they have special events and tournaments so there may be limited time. One thing I wish they would do is when you reserve a court, you could reserve a specific one. Because we had a large group and people came in and out, it would have been nice to have the court that was closest to the exit/ tables. The food is okay, but I love the drinks and the atmosphere. They have indoor and outdoor courts. They also have a restaurant you can eat inside. And when it's nice weather there are a lot of outdoor games you can play. I absolutely love this place! Highly recommend!
Abigail L — Google review
I have nothing but positive things to say about this establishment. The atmosphere is incredibly uplifting, and the overall vibe is exceptional. I ordered the Southwest chicken salad, and it certainly lived up to expectations. I opted to dine outdoors, as the weather was perfect, and the outdoor seating area was impeccably clean. Additionally, the staff was courteous and attentive, further enhancing the experience.

Movie theater
Fun & Games
Located in North Kansas City, Missouri, the Screenland Armour Theatre is a historic local institution that offers a unique movie-watching experience. The theater showcases both big-budget and indie films and has been featuring a marquee since 1928. Visitors can enjoy an extensive selection of craft beer, cocktails, and tasty snacks like mac 'n' cheese bites and grilled cheese sandwiches while watching their favorite movies.
Great theater! Cool old school vibes and good selection of drinks/movie treats. Overall great experience seeing Weapons. Highly recommend
Jacob A — Google review
Was at the theater for panicfest, a local film festival and it was a beautiful facility. The theaters were stunning, great staff, food, drinks, and a ton of folks that love film. Highly recommend this place for any films that you're hoping to catch on the big screen, mostly because these old theaters are incredible and deserve to be preserved, and keeping an eye out on their special events as well. We had a blast here.
Ronnie B — Google review
We hardly ever go to a theater anymore because we have great streaming options. However, we thought we would go to Screenland to watch Bring Her Back at 9 pm. When we arrived the staff was not busy at all & no one greeted us or told us where to show are tickets. It’s confusing, because there is a sign that says Box Office with an arrow in a different direction???? Concessions- pretty much all alcoholic drinks besides plastic water bottles. Some mocktails or different drinks would be nice. There was a fountain drink machine. We haven’t drank soda in years. Really wanted this to be a unique experience but it wasn’t. We went years ago, was it sold to a new owner??? Staff need customer service training.
R J — Google review
This is definitely the place to check out if movies are a core aspect of your identity. It seems like they have a solid community there, which is awesome. The one main thing I didn’t love is that the sound insulation between the different theaters is pretty poor, so I was consistently hearing sounds from the movie in the next room over. But I do understand that there’s only so much they can do with the space that they have. Otherwise, staff was friendly and the space is cool.
Guilder — Google review
Love this theater! A great KC independent theater that shows both current movies and several classics. I’ve seen some cult classics there like The Last Dragon and Manhunter and they also often host events by Forever Bogus like old school SNICK nights or Are You Afraid of the Dark Marathons (looking forward to that this October). The staff is very friendly, laid back atmosphere, and nice cinematic decor. Additionally, they’ve added their vintage cinema themed attached bar, Rewind Video. I unfortunately forgot a photo of their great marquee but if you’re a movie lover you’ve gotta check this place out.
Aaron S — Google review
AWESOME !!!!! The theater shows movies that you haven't seen, have seen, and new releases. The staff is friendly, seats are comfortable and the median age is probably late 20's to mid 30's. This is a great place to go for an evening movie.

First time here. Love the place ❤️ People were great Part of our group went to casino and movie for the rest. We will go again. A little bit for all

It's normally great, but the lobby music is so loud that it can really interfere with quiet films/quiet moments. Otherwise, it's great!

Union Station, a historic transportation hub built in 1914, once served thousands of passengers and featured a waiting room capable of holding up to 10,000 people. After closing in the 1980s, it underwent extensive renovations and reopened in 1999 with various amenities such as shops and restaurants. Visitors can explore the train museum on the second floor or first floor near the main entrance.
Expertly restored century building, housing an Amtrak train station, Science City, movie theater (including IMAX), planetarium, live theater space, rotating exhibitions, several restaurants, coffee shop, store, and more. Reopened in 1999 after extensive period restoration efforts, this building is a tribute to Kansas City and is always up-lit with the colors of the moment.
Ann D — Google review
Amazing free public transport in Kansas City. It is clean, spacious, free to ride, and comfortable. The streetcar only has one line of 2 miles from the Union Station to the City Market. They are now constructing and expanding the line further for more reach.
Muhammad A — Google review
Today, we were excited to see Holiday Refelctions. We got to Union Station with my 9 year old son, and my 6 year old Autistic son. This was a big outing for him and he started to get upset at 11:30am, and I asked if we could be let in early because I knew he wouldn't last much longer. They said we would have to wait until 11:45am and we said cool, and we waited while my son escalated. So at 11:45am exactly, we went back to the same guy at the ticket counter, who said we would have to wait. I told him my son was Autistic and not doing well and if we could just get in a bit earlier, but he declined. While it isn't the establishment's job or responsibility to cater to me or my family, it was discouraging that we couldn't get in earlier, as he had promised the first time I asked. There was no compassion for my visibly disabled son. No trying to accommodate or maybe asking if we could get in a bit earlier. So if you have an autistic or disabled individual, definitely do not expect any accommodating. Also, do not take them at their word. They will only let you in at the designated time. Even if they say they will.
Kerin M — Google review
This place is very beautiful and clean, sadly Monday a lot of museum inside the union station wasn’t open, they have train museum on the second floor if you park on the side of the building or first floor on the main entrance, we spent almost 2 hours inside of building to look around everything, also they have a restaurant in the middle of the building too.
Dino P — Google review
Another great family destination in KC area. Wonderful theater and Science City are great year round attractions. Once Christmas season arrives, Union Station comes alive even more so with the model train exhibition and wonderful indoor Christmas tree and lighting.
Wade W — Google review
Beautifully restored historic building with great fine dining, coffee and people watching. Part landmark, part working offices, the 105 year old building is alive and vibrant. Talk to the guest hosts at the kiosk, there’s so much to see that’s not immediately obvious as you walk through. The food at Pierpont is fabulous and the atmosphere unmatched. Harvey’s may not have the same level of food quality but it’s still very good and an amazing experience. Areas can be used for meetings, weddings etc. and would make a memorable backdrop.
Bass G — Google review
Such a wonderful window into history. Take your time to walk around and explore. Be sure to visit the model train exhibit and take a walk on the bridge overlooking the tracks.

I loved this historic building! Be sure to travel to the upper stories to the observation deck and read all about the history and remodel.

The National WWI Museum and Memorial is the only public museum in the nation dedicated to World War I. As you enter, a glass-floored bridge over a field of 9,000 red poppies sets a reverent tone, each poppy representing 1,000 military deaths. The museum houses an extensive collection of over 100,000 objects, documents, and materials from World War I.
This place was amazing! Educational and interesting we need more museums like this. Did an amazing job explaining the details that aren't taught in school with a lot of artifacts and historical records. I recommend everybody visit this place piece of History. They do an Immaculate job a cleaning volunteering and helping even the food was really good at the cafe.

Besides the marvellous architecture and beautiful scenic view you get at this monument, to me this place is filled with emotions. The place reminds me of all the beautiful souls whose courage and sacrifice helped bring peace and stability that we are enjoying today. Each picture or artefact in this museum is filled with so much history, story, and emotion that I cannot describe; you have to visit this place to experience it. Also, don't forget to cherish the beautiful Poppy flower bed at the main entrance block and try to find out what it represents. In short, this place is where you can enjoy these magnificent monuments, get one of the best views of Kansas City, take beautiful pictures, learn and experience history, and pay respect to the brave and beautiful souls.

Impressive collection of artifacts from WW1 and massive amounts of information! The volunteers were very friendly and informative. This museum is very well done. From an artistic standpoint it has a unique design with Egyptian Revival and Art Deco elements. On a clear day, there are beautiful views from the top of the tower. There is so much to see it is hard to do it in just one day.
Kelly B — Google review
What a cool museum! Would be easy to spend a couple of hours there. So much history. A couple of places you walk over glass to read what's under, or see the poppies. Twelve minute info movie runs on repeat. Free parking. Beautiful park area. Tower view amazing. Ticket was $13. That includes main museum and tower. There was a private exhibit you could add on for $6 I think. I only had time for 2 areas. Gift shop and café inside as well.
Ellen P — Google review
This museum was absolutely amazing! There are so many artifacts amd so much information. The exhibits immersive. We spent 3 hours there at least. Going up in the tower was amazing as well. It was only $3 more.
E W — Google review
The National WWI Museum and Memorial is an incredible experience powerful, educational, and beautifully designed. The exhibits are immersive and tell the story of the Great War through real artifacts, videos, and personal stories. The Liberty Memorial tower offers stunning views of Kansas City, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Plan at least 2 hours to really take it all in. A must-visit spot in KC!
Aman K — Google review
This place and the city in general is beautiful. I didn't take any of the tours because I had my dog with me. I did go inside to ask questions about the outside architecture. Basically, it was built when Egypt was all the hype. The sphinx looking toward the west is a symbol of progress and I think they said the one looking toward the east is for a reminder of the past. The tall tower are the 4 guardians looking over everyone and each resemble something like Honor, Courage, Patriotism, and Sacrifice the virtues that protected the soldiers during W.W.I. I could be wrong about some of this info so its best to go and ask questions yourself. I also asked if the guardians were influenced by Greek or Roman gods because the Sphinx to me looks more like the Greek Sphinx and the historians told me no there is no link to Greek or Roman mythology. In my opinion the guardians look like Mercury or Hermes. Messengers of the God's. I like to think they are depictions of them, forever messengers of the past to remind us of a better future. Remind us what our ancestors fought for.
Shantelle M — Google review
Worth visiting. Recommend getting the tower tickets with the museum ones combined, it's cheaper and hmthe views from the tower were spectacular. Museum was a great place to learn about the WW1 history!

The Arabia Steamboat Museum in Kansas City is a popular attraction that offers a fascinating journey back to the mid-nineteenth century American frontier. It houses the largest collection of pre-Civil War artifacts in the world, all recovered from a steamboat that sank in the Missouri River in 1856. Visitors can explore exhibits and presentations showcasing everyday items, clothing, and tools from pioneer life.
My wife and i stumbled upon this museum on our travels through KC. All we can say is “WOW!” What an incredible place. Its a giant time capsule from there 1850s. It was so educational to see these artifacts is pristine condition. We also got to meet one of the treasure-hunters that discovered the sunken steam ship. A must see if you’re in this area.
Spencer S — Google review
So I had heard the amazing story of how this was found a few years ago. The determination of the guys was awesome. Glad they decided to keep it all in one place and share it with the world. Amazing to see all that was recovered and the pieces that remained. Really worth the stop if you can make your way to this museum.
Joe H — Google review
Find yourself in Kansas City? The Arabia Steamboat Museum in the River Market is an absolute must-visit — a true hidden gem that left me completely awestruck. From the moment you walk in, you sense that this place is special. The curators have masterfully woven storytelling and preservation into a captivating experience. You begin with short, powerful videos about the steamboat’s tragic sinking in 1856 and its miraculous rediscovery in the 1980s. Then you’re led through exhibit rooms filled with artifacts that seem impossibly well preserved — from shoes and hat pins to tools, kitchenware, and even jars of pickles. The fact that these relics survived underground for over a century is in itself astonishing. One of the highlights is walking along a full-scale replica of the Arabia’s main deck (171 ft long), complete with original boilers, anchors, the paddle wheel, and even a mule skeleton recovered from the wreck. It’s immersive, eerie, and wonderfully educational. What I appreciated most was the balance between big “wow” artifacts and the tiny, everyday items — every jar, nail, or coin gives you a micro-glimpse into frontier life in 1856. The staff is knowledgeable and clearly passionate, and they make the science of preservation feel as exciting as the history itself. If you’re a history buff, a lover of oddities, or just someone who enjoys places that make you stop and think, the Arabia Steamboat Museum will deliver. And as a bonus, its setting in the River Market makes it easy to pair with strolling, local food, or nearby shops. I’m giving it five stars — I’ll be recommending this place to everyone I know.
MyInfoTech F — Google review
The museum had excellent pieces of the lost cargo from the Arabian Steamboat. Loved the exhibits of tools, clothing, and detailed goods needed for the 1850's. We loved the videos put together for the story of the adventurous dig, and the theater show put on for visitors. However one of the staff was a little off-putting near the end of our tour. We talked with two of them. We lacked knowledge on some of the subjects, and frankly even though they explained themselves, I believe they didn't express much in grace for our lack of knowledge. We told them thank you and left for the day. I am not certain that I would return, in spite of the lovely exhibits and intriguing storyline. I'm glad that the museum exists for the story though. Good to save another piece of history.
Ramesty — Google review
We visited the Arabia Steamboat Museum today, and it was awesome! The history, artifacts, and exhibits were all fascinating—and Josh made the experience even better. Definitely worth the visit. One tip: parking on one side of the building is free, but the other side is paid. We didn’t know that and ended up paying when we didn’t have to!
Brett J — Google review
We paid $35.96 for two people in October 2025. It is a very interesting place that is at the deepest lower levels of the building. There's a big wheel that was pretty cool and you could see it rotating in the water. Though I could not locate the actual source of the energy which I'm assuming is a massive electric motor of some sort with a gearbox and it was hidden. The place is extremely dark for those with limited vision which hindered my ability to see a lot of the attractions. Electricity must be a factor in how they display things because it would be better fully lit to actually see a lot of it. Since it's a merchant ship most of the merchandise is what you would expect from a delivery vehicle or a massive container ship. The merchandise that was on said ship is quite interesting and I've had a number of those items over the years. I especially lock their lock collection. I lived in a farmhouse as a kid that had all those white ceramic locks and knobs. The fine China was really beautiful and you can find exact pieces online through eBay or other sources and the prices are pretty expensive. One basic white serving dish with lid was over $250. The price was about what you would expect from a place designed to bring in tourist and visitors. It's a bit more than other places at 16.50 per person.
Kameljoe21 — Google review
One of the most fantastic places I have been to and it's hardly advertised. Wifey and I were recommended to go here by a couple we never met at a Subway sandwich shop he said yeah there's the steamboat Museum you might find interesting. WOW! WHAT A FRIGGAN UNDERSTATEMENT!! Google the Arabian steamboat sinking for additional information but this is a site not to be missed.
PlainOlBill — Google review
A Kansas City history staple. The museum feels smaller than I remember it as a kid but I think its just me. It's a very different experience seeing it ~20 years later as an adult. Hopefully the museum finds a new home soon.

The American Jazz Museum, located in the 18th & Vine Historic Jazz District of Kansas City, is a vibrant celebration of jazz music. Visitors can immerse themselves in the history and impact of jazz through interactive exhibits, live performances, and educational programs. The museum houses an impressive collection of musical instruments, exclusive photographs, recordings, and artifacts dating back to the 1940s. Notable highlights include Julia Lee's 'Party Time' album cover from 1946.
A great place to learn about some of the greatest musicians in jazz history. You can also listen to some of the music and watch old films. I like the fact that the Blue Room is also attached to the museum and they had a live jazz group playing called Go Hard. They were really good. Before you go into the museum check out the Jazz Walk of Fame sidewalk.

The American Jazz Museum is a true gem in the heart of Kansas City! From the moment you walk in, you're immersed in the rich history and soul of jazz music. The exhibits are beautifully curated, featuring legends like Charlie Parker, Ella Fitzgerald, and Duke Ellington. I especially loved the interactive displays and the listening stations—such a cool way to experience the music firsthand. The museum does a fantastic job connecting the cultural roots of jazz with the vibrant present-day scene. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. I also appreciated the live music at the Blue Room—an unforgettable experience! Whether you're a lifelong jazz fan or just curious about America's musical heritage, this museum is well worth your time. Highly

We were the only ones visiting on a Thursday morning right after they opened. We had to take our jazz trumpet playing son there and we were welcomed by Muriel who really spent time with us and spent some time educating my son on the Kansas City scene. In addition she encouraged making connections with various individuals associated with the museum as well as potential jazz camp and perhaps career in music. She also dispelled our understanding about the Blue Room jazz club and children may attend due to the club is a listening room and even though it serves alcohol it does not bar children from attending performances. So we were super excited we could take him, since my wife and I have been many times to see local and national jazz musicians. So glad it is one of the few UNESCO creative arts cities and Kansas City keeping jazz alive as well as its history.
KEITH D — Google review
One of the most beautiful and informative places. The neon lights, the music and we were treated to an afternoon live concert in the main atrium. Went across the street to the Gem where we saw an incredible jazz band from Mt Prospect. The Negro League museum is in the same space. Also beautifully done. Congrats! From Illinois travelers.

This is a great place to learn about the history of Kansas City jazz. If you have young children, be sure to take them with you. While much of the historic 18th Street area around it feels like it’s in decline, we hope this place will be preserved for years to come. There is also plenty of parking nearby.
JAY H — Google review
Nice museum with good history on KC jazz and the jazz era. Interactive exhibits, great video of the history of jazz, nice little gift shop too.
C L — Google review
As an avid jazz lover, I knew visiting this place in the historic jazz district when I came to town was a must do. It did not disappoint. It’s small but very informative. It has some interactive parts where you can actually hear some of the Jazz greats playing. I enjoyed every minute there. There is an attached Jazz lounge called the Blue room that had a free jazz show at 5:30 that I stuck around for. It was awesome and a great vibe.
Cynthia R — Google review
Sadly, it's taken me too long to write this review and I can't find all of my pictures, so I hope you get a little bit of the feel this place resonates. Jazz has a rich history and this museum captures it to a tee. From pictures, to instruments, to clothing of the era, to hands on listening devices that immerse you into the beginnings of a music genre that has lasted a century. This is a self walking tour so you're able to go at your own pace and take in all knowledge that your brain can handle. There's also a small gift shop. Stop in there, buy something, and help support the efforts of this wonderful experience.

The gym provides equipment rental, including shoes that can be adjusted for a proper fit. Additionally, the facility offers unlimited climbing with a day pass or membership, access to the fitness center, and even yoga classes led by experienced instructors like Cole.
RoKC North is such a fun location. With a great ratio of bouldering and tall wall, there’s space for everyone. They offer classes, have running groups and yoga classes. The staff are always welcoming and the community is tight knit as well. For parents, there are many tables with areas to work. This location has a smaller gym. Parking here is a bit of a nightmare, especially during peak hours.

I can’t say enough good things about my kid’s birthday party at ROKC North. Elliott was kind, patient, and so incredibly good with the kids. Our group ranged from ages 3-8 and he made sure he spent time with the littlest to provide encouragement and hopped over to the older ones to answer questions and provide guidance on more advanced climbing routes. Our group includes a few neurodivergent kids and he made sure to have their attention and repeat himself several times when talking about safety. Everyone had such a great time and the older kids are already begging to go again.

I absolutely love climbing at this gym! I wanted to expand my skills beyond bouldering and auto-belay, so I finally took the top rope course—and I’m so glad I did. Chris was a fantastic instructor: thorough, patient, and had a great sense of humor. The whole experience made me feel more confident and excited to keep progressing.

Was visiting KC and dropped in here. This gym is great. We only had time for some top rope routes. They were all interesting. Many of the routes felt very outdoorsy, which I love. Would climb here again in a heartbeat.

Burk and Craig were super informative, friendly, patient, and helpful. Definitely will be coming back!

We love ROKC. It’s a great place to take the family for both bouldering and belay climbing. They have three auto belays that are great for younger children. And a couple for more difficult runs as well.

The staff were friendly and the sign up was very quick and easy on their tablets the walls were not easy but they have bouldering walls and regular rock climbing in a harness they have equipment there for rental including chalk, harnesses, and shoes. I would definitely go again! The monthly membership is 65$

Caters to children who are trying to get into climbing. Everyone has been nice to my 4.5 year old. I teach him the basics and the etiquette. His pass is free bc of his age. They offer harness and shoe rental for just under $9. This place is great.

The studio provides a welcoming and trendy atmosphere while maintaining a comfortable and inviting feel. With expert guidance from instructors like Mackenzie and Kenny, visitors can learn various techniques such as wheel throwing and hand molding with clay.
My gf and I had an awesome time during pot and pints. If you’re looking for something different but yet fun, I strongly suggest attending one of these sessions. McKenzie was a great instructor and very patient with everyone. I’m not the most artistic individual and still had a lot of fun.

BEST date night ever! Haley was our instructor and made the whole night so fun! I had never used a potters wheel before, so as a complete beginner I felt like the whole experience was fantastic. It was so fun to be in a group class where you can interact with others and make new friends. You can make a cup or bowl and even pick the color glaze it gets! In 3-4 weeks you come back and pick up your piece! What a cool concept! If you try it and love it, they even offer intermediate or advanced classes and membership options!

My wife and I had a great date night here with their pot and pints. It was the first time for both of us and our teacher made it both fun and enjoyable and we both love the things that we made.

I just completed my 4th year of the jack o lantern class, it was so much fun! The instructor was so helpful and forthright with her knowledge she made it such a great experience for everyone! I recommend any of the classes Driftwood has available to anyone who wants to express their creativity and come home with a great holiday decoration!

LOVE this local pottery studio in NKC! The instructors are knowledgeable and kind. The studio is always well maintained and close to other local restaurants to visit before or after. Whether you go for a pots & pints date night class or sign up for a month long, you’ll love your instructors and create more than memories! If you want to try something new, hit up driftwood ceramics!

It’s always such an incredible experience to come here. This was our second time around and we had an incredible time! We hope Kenny never leaves you guys as he is so kind and incredible to every human he inspires and interacts with. Thank you for your kindness Kenny and helping us succeed the second time! We will be back in a heartbeat. 💓

An amazing place- amazing experience, amazing space, amazing teacher. We went for a wheel turning class for our date night experience. This is an excellent date night outing. Our instructor, Mackenzie, was/is incredible. She is a thoughtful, kind, patient, thorough, and extremely well communicated teacher. Her balance between allowing people to explore the medium on their own and her critique and guidance is near perfect. Our advice is to listen to whatever she is telling you, it will work we promise. MY fiancé and I made some impressive cups/bowls during our session here. Beyond the excellent instruction, the space is chill and inviting with a great playlist going throughout your time here. If you are interested in learning wheel thrown ceramics or you're looking for a great date night activity, this is the place. Thanks so much Mackenzie, you rock!!!!

Worlds of Fun is a sprawling 235-acre amusement park in Kansas City, offering an array of attractions for visitors of all ages. Divided into themed areas such as Africa, Americana, Europe, the Orient, and Scandinavia, the park features a variety of thrilling rides and roller coasters like the renowned Prowler. Families can also enjoy live entertainment and a Snoopy-themed kids' area called Planet Snoopy.
This place was amazing! Perfect place for family fun. It was mine and my children's first time and we were completely unprepared but we had so much fun. Some things to note if you are going for the first time. Buy your ticket s in advance/ online to avoid waiting in line to get in. Pack light, for ladies leave your handbag behind and take a fanny pack instead(Something you can strap on and be hands Free on the rides without loosing your stuff during rides). You can rent a locker for your things for $23 or more depending on the size. Do your research on the fun rides and plan ahead to ensure you get to all the worlds of fun and Oceans of fun rides you would like. You will not be able to ride them all because there are just too many and there's not enough time to get to all in one day. Be prepared for long wait times on popular rides. I mean 30- 45 minute wait times on the weekends just for a 2 minute ride. The food is good but pricey. Wear comfortable shoes, there's a lot of walking required. Pack some bottled water. This place is overwhelmingly fun and worth every penny.

Worlds of Fun lives up to its name—it’s a vibrant, family-friendly amusement park with something for everyone. Whether you're chasing thrills or just looking for a relaxing day out, this place delivers. Your ticket also covers Oceans of Fun water park: Perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. The parking ticket is on a high side but you can can purchase a season ticket to avoid that. Tip: Buy tickets online in advance and arrive early to make the most of your day.

Some rides were down and I'm not sure why. It may be the time of year of the events going on. The carnival games are typical rip-offs with cheap prizes when you do win. I have several good allergies and for the most part was able to ask about allergens. I wasn't able to get information at one of the grills in Africa. The chaperone policy was "in effect" but didn't seem to be enforced. We only came across one photographer the entire time we were there from 1200-2000, but he did a fantastic job. He was quick and left us laughing. The FunPix photos weren't working when we rode the Zambizi Zinger which was unfortunate. It was a fun, quick, jerky ride that was one and done for us. One of the drink places had no ice. Still, we had fun. We spent 8 hours there, mostly taking in the Halloween decorations which is what we came for. We bought the Prestige Passes and do plan to come back in the future, hopefully to better entertainment.

It was drizzling but we still had a great time. The lines weren’t long at all. We spent most of the day there from 11am - 10 pm and did the haunted attractions also. We had the the fast past on haunted houses, thankfully because there was lines. We had a great time and road all the rides some multiple times also. First time coming here during spook fest. Good times highly recommend
Dan Y — Google review
We visited Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun last July on a Monday, and it was a great experience! The park wasn’t too crowded, so we didn’t need to purchase a Fast Pass — we were able to enjoy most of the thrilling rides without long waits. The Mamba was a definite highlight — such a wild, adrenaline-pumping ride! We also got the unlimited Coca-Cola drink deal, which was totally worth it, especially on a hot day. At Oceans of Fun, we enjoyed the lazy river, though it would’ve been even better with more available tubes. Overall, it was a super fun day and made for a great side trip from Omaha. Would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a day of excitement and water fun!

Love worlds of fun always have a blast here but it definitely adds up fast! Thank you for being smoke and vape free that is a blessing! Food is way overpriced. Bathrooms are spaced too far apart, definitely need more! Most of the drink stations were not in working order when we visited which means the ones that were working were very busy all day long running out of everything. Lines were terrible 90 minute waites for one ride makes your time go by so fast while your just standing around. Parking cost $30! No coolers or food is allowed to come in to the park with you so that's unfortunate. Just be prepared to spend a pretty penny whenever you come to worlds of fun.
Monica A — Google review
This is a fun park with a great variety of coasters and other rides, and a water park. It's a good size so you can certainly spend all day here. The park is themed to around the world in 80 days. There's some really pretty theming in some areas, some nice shady spots. It's clean and I felt safe here. The rides are fun, the employees were nice that I encountered. Very fun
Sarah P — Google review
Weather today was perfect. For the most part the employees are nice and helpful. Our biggest issue was that my grandson really wanted dip n dots so we spent a lot of time waiting in lines to be told they didn't have but 1 flavor and would tell us to go to another location just to get there and find out that that location was closed .We found at oceans of fun they did have more then 1 flavor just to stand in line for a very very long time and when it was his turn to order was told that they started a download on card reader and was redirected to yet another stand By this time I was pretty upset that we had waited in several lines and yet again being sent somewhere else. This child was the last in line and they could not serve him because they had chosen that second to download a card reader. They could have and should have let him purchase his dip n dots . He was devastated. We spent a big part of our day standing in line to be told go stand in another line. He is a little guy and walking mostly all up hill all day is hard on his little legs ...He did finally get his dip n dots but in return he was left with 25 minutes of oceans of fun time it was closing time there ,that was upsetting. Back to worlds of fun so a lot more walking with a very tired disappointed child who is now getting cranky as well. If not for this run around we would have had a much better day...We did get some Camp Snoopy time in before the run around. For the smaller children that is the place to go..The employees there are very kid friendly. And we got 3 rides in after the run around...The only other issue is that it seems like no matter where you are going it is all uphill..

When visiting Kansas City, don't miss the opportunity to explore the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, which showcases the history of segregated baseball leagues from their founding in 1920 to Jackie Robinson's groundbreaking debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. The museum's 10,000-square-foot facility houses a rich collection of photographs, films, and artifacts that depict the significant role played by African-American baseball leagues during the 20th century.
An amazing experience with my family. I loved everything about this museum. We learned a lot of new things about the history of black men and women in baseball. Truly a wonderful experience and I will definitely visit again.
Ashley M — Google review
YES! Had a wonderful time in the museum. Lots and lots of information and artifacts from the league. You are also treated to a short documentary about how and why the league was started. The museum also gives a timeline of things going on around the world as the league was forming and prospering. The museum is for everyone and all will enjoy. If you are a music fan you can walk over to the Jazz Museum when you finish.

What an amazing experience this was to visit. I am a sports fan but prefer football and this was still awesome. We attended an event and also had jazz music playing. Everyone should take the opportunity to learn some additional history in the area.

Great film to start the museum, so please watch it. There are many exhibits to see and learn from. At the end there is a small field with bronze statues of Satchel Paige, Josh Gibson and other legends chosen to be the starting 9. A great addition to my trip on way to Kauffman Stadium to knock it off as my 29th out of 30.

I visited on October 18, and it was a 15 out of 10. This is a must visit for everyone especially Baseball fans who are visiting Kansas City, Missouri. The history, memorabilia and artifacts were overwhelming. It was an eye opening experience, when I saw how black baseball players were treated in the early 1900’s and beyond it left a horrible feeling in my stomach. Thanks again for sharing your Museum with me.

This place was recommended by a friend of ours. The construction in front of the building made access difficult. The museum itself was magnificent. So much important history. I love how the museum is designed to align what was happening in the world along with what was happening in baseball.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Kansas City is a family-friendly entertainment hub located in the Crown Center of downtown Kansas City. The center offers an array of attractions, including LEGO toy displays, interactive rides, and a 4-D theater. Visitors can also explore how LEGOs are made and enjoy various themed areas such as Mini Land and Heartlake City. Additionally, the center provides educational opportunities for kids to enhance their skills in math and science while having fun with LEGOs.
This was a great experience! There were lot's of giant Lego creations to view that were amazingly detailed such as Arrowhead stadium, Boulevard Brewing and the Western Auto sign reflecting many K.C. greats. There were also various interactive displays where visitors could build their own Lego pizza, make a race car to zoom down a ramp or build a bumblebee. There was a " Lego cinema" area where visitors could view short ( 15 minute) Lego movies and also a " Wizard of Oz tornado machine"( available for $3) It was interesting for myself ( age 61) as well as 2 grandkids ages 1 and 5. Purchase tickets online & in advance for a discount & also available for $7 purchase a Robot lanyard where you can search for displays to receive stamps and also get your own Lego mini figure.

A whole floor full of Lego characters and educational games. A little bit expensive I would say … for just one floor for just one day… however we were free to go out to have lunch and allowed back in. It’s better if you book the tickets online in advance and visit on a weekday.

Kids loved it. Was surprised that they had 3 rides in side. Was really crowded when we first arrived but did thin out so they could enjoy it more with out bumping g into other constantly. Will return Was really cool with alot of hands on activities. The displays was awesome aswell.

Pretty expensive and then you have to pay additional $7 for the virtual game they have inside!!! That doesn't even come with the VIP or std ticket admission I was disappointed they didn't have ideas at each station. We paid for the everything package and was super disappointed We didn't get more for the VIP experience It was 120+ dollars for 2 adults and 1 four old... I think if there were more ideas at each station that would have been helpful to keep littles engaged Some staff were helpful others didn't seem to know much it was strange

The Discovery Center is located within a building complex. If you follow GPS it will put you near the entrance to the parking garage. Parking is by a ticket given as you pull in, and a validation ticket is given at the entrance to the Discovery Center for 3hrs of parking. HOLD ON TO BOTH. You will need both when you leave. Scan the parking ticket first, then the validation ticket for the discount. Regarding the inside, the Discovery Center was clean, and well staffed. Every employee seemed in a good mood and happy to help. We came here as an alternative to the St Louis zoo (because of the tornado damage) for my 17yr old who loves Legos. I really wish there was any type of disclaimer/disclosure for ages. This Discovery Center is very much for younger kids, maybe early teens. It was much smaller than expected, but we still had fun.

We came here for my son’s 4th birthday today and had the best time and experience we’ve ever had at this Lego land. The workers were the sweetest to him. There was an older female employee that I did not catch her name but took her time to help him make a car and pumpkin. She made sure that he had a birthday crown and buttons once she found out that it was his birthday. You could tell that she loves her job there and working with kids. She made his experience there extra special today! We stayed for almost 4 hours and my son never ran out of things to do, he is obsessed with legos and building with them.

Lego land was cool. I took a star because this location is for small children. I been to others that had a lot more to do and more things to see. It was still fun. I would recommend for families with children under 10. We made the most of it and still had a good time.

Nestled within the historic Union Station in Kansas City, Science City at Union Station is a vibrant and engaging science center perfect for families. This interactive museum boasts over 120 hands-on exhibits designed to spark curiosity and foster learning among visitors of all ages. Highlights include the DinoLab, where young paleontologists can dig for fossils, and the immersive Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium that takes you on cosmic journeys.
Science City is always a hit with my grandchildren and out of town guests. Maybe adding sone exhibits for kids 12-14 would increase interest. I brought two German families in the last two years and they said it was the highlight of their visit.
Kathleen M — Google review
Nice STEM based activities for the kids. They had lessons in electricity, magnetism, and physics. Give yourself 3 hours minimum to hit all the exhibits. The outdoor play area is open if there no lightning and no heat index at 105 or more. Checkout the cool water area with cascading buckets and flow control dams that the kids can change. Bring snacks as there are limited places to eat even in union station. One room for improvement: more than a few exhibits were partially out of order. Same with the men’s bathroom. Parking is paid if you are driving and it’s in a parking garage.
Don S — Google review
This is such a fun place for kids of all ages! The new train section was a hit for my toddler. Such a great addition! My 6 yr old loved the indoor climbing structure and the dinosaur area and my 9 year old loved all of the stem activities. We were there for about 4 hours but I think we definitely could have spent more time there. Weekday afternoons are less busy!
Brittany D — Google review
Upon approaching the hallowed halls of Science City, I was immediately struck by the palpable hum of universal energy vibrating through the very atoms of Kansas City itself. The edifice rises not merely as a museum, but as a cathedral of curiosity, a sanctum where the whispers of quantum particles and the sighs of electrons are nearly audible to the attuned visitor. I traversed the labyrinthine exhibits, each meticulously curated, where every interactive installation felt like a secret ritual designed to awaken latent neural pathways and realign one’s chakras with the cosmic order. I was particularly captivated by the kinetic sculptures, which, like tiny oracles of motion, whispered truths about the universe that mere mortals rarely perceive. Time itself seemed to dilate, each second a crystallized gem of wonder and revelation. Crossing the portal to Union Station was akin to stepping into a temporal nexus where history, architecture, and the soul of the city intertwine. The grand concourse, bathed in the reverent light of its monumental windows, felt like the backstage of the cosmos, where every marble floor tile hums the songs of a thousand trains that once traversed the veins of America. The ceiling murals, painted with the sweat and dreams of artistic alchemists, narrated epic sagas of human ambition, steam engines, and interstellar imaginings, demanding silent contemplation. Even the ticket counters seemed imbued with latent wisdom, as though the clerks were gatekeepers to portals of both time and imagination. I dined, spiritually, at the food court, where pretzel nuggets took on the aura of golden relics, each bite a meditation on dough and salt, and the aroma of roasted coffee beans acted as an invisible incense, binding my consciousness to the hallowed architecture surrounding me. Every corridor, every exhibit, every fleeting echo of children’s laughter vibrated with metaphysical significance. Walking out, I did not merely leave a building, I ascended, if only metaphorically, to a higher plane where Science City and Union Station are not places, but living, breathing synapses in the brain of the universe itself. To anyone seeking not mere entertainment, but a pilgrimage, a communion with knowledge and beauty that transcends the mundane, I say: prepare your soul, fasten your metaphysical seatbelt, and surrender yourself to the ineffable wonder that is Kansas City’s dual shrine of Science City and Union Station. You will not leave unchanged; your neurons will hum, your heart will swell, and your existential coordinates will be forever recalibrated.
Kirk P — Google review
My kids had a ball there. One of the best experiences they've had yet. We didn't get to do everything because it was so much for them to do. Definitely a place I would visit with them again if I come back to Kansas.
Ivory J — Google review
Let me start with a gripe: I take a VERY big issue with their ticket prices. They're advertised as $17/ea so it's deceptive, dishonest, and outright LYING when you get there and they have a sign at the ticket counter "A 10% fee is added to all tickets to help fund blahblahblah". Okay, then the tickets are $18.70 and **not** $17.00. Yes, it's only 10% and yes, I'm sure it must be for a very good cause, but that doesn't excuse the deceit. That said, Science City was *very* fun and had lots of informative displays and exhibits as well as things for the whole family to enjoy. We spent over 4 hours there and only left because we eventually got tired of walking around. And I scored 0.033 seconds on the reflex test.
Marcus S — Google review
When Union Stations describes Titanic as an "immersive experience", it truly is! This exhibit is wonderful for the whole family.
David M — Google review
I can never say enough good things about this place. The memories I've made with my son in this building are those I'll never ever forget. I love that they rotate new exhibits in often, so every time we go there's something different to see. The place is affordable, clean and neverending. Every time we go, there's something we didn't see or notice the last time. This time we visited, it was the reptile and fish room. They fed a snake while we were there.

Chappell's Restaurant & Sports Museum in North Kansas City is a unique blend of traditional American dining and an extensive sports memorabilia collection. Recognized by Sports Illustrated as one of the top 25 sports bars in the U.S., this atmospheric eatery is adorned with artifacts and souvenirs from major professional and college sports teams. The owner, Jim Chappell, has filled every nook and cranny with fascinating items, often sharing stories with patrons.
We stopped in for lunch. Late afternoon around 3 and we were seated and served promptly. A few locals eating at the bar. We ordered a tenderloin sandwich with onion rings, a side salad, and curly fries. If you're a sports fan you will enjoy the memorabilia.
Angella C — Google review
Overall, it was just an alright experience. The memorabilia was cool and the service wad excellent. However, the food was pretty flavorless altogether. We got some nachos, Mac and cheese with fried chicken, a santa fe wrap, and cheese quesadilla. The Mac and cheese was good, but the fried chicken was chewy and flavorless. The santa fe and nachos were pretty lacking as well. The cheese quesadilla was solid. All in all, I was a little disappointed with the experience. It would be a great place for a drink and to see some sports memorabilia, but the food was just lacking for me. Again, the service was excellent as well.
Brian H — Google review
This place should be talked about more! I would encourage the owners to do more promo! I only knew about it because I came here as a kid. The food is nothing to write home about. But the place is cool, if not a little dusty. When I made a reservation for a large group, they put us in a room all to ourselves for no cost which was great. However, there was no music or tv noise so it was a weirdly quiet vibe. We got lucky and got to meet Jim Chappell himself which was really cool. I would suggest promoting this place for groups - especially game watch parties and fantasy football drafts. The guys I was with have a league and they said they’d totally rent out a room and do their draft there, getting lots of food and drinks during that time.
Kelsey N — Google review
First, the food: Their burgers are delicious! You can get them with a normal bun, or a French muffin bun, which is actually pretty good. I also partook in the Chefs special of the day which happened to be a burrito, which I am a big fan of. It doesn't taste Mexican tho, delicious in its own right, just not Mexican. Speaking of specials, they have one for every day, which just decreases the price of said item. Good deals. Second, the Service: The servers are very kind and wholesome, not to mention Shannon, who seems to have the memory of an elephant, that is to say, very good. She takes orders without needing to right them down! Absolutely insane. Maybe I just have a very poor memory... Third, the atmosphere: One of the most impressive aspects of this place, is the amount of sports memorabilia they have, goodness gracious there is a lot. It's also a big place, so that just adds to it. Very cool place regardless of the memorabilia, almost reminds me of a lodge on the inside. When its cold they have a fire going. So comfy.

Been a while since we had lunch here, but we we driving through NKC today, we stopped Food was great and the service was fast One of the best things was when I ordered fish and chips, the waitress asked if I wanted malt vinegar No waitress has asked they question. I always have to ask for it myself

Was in town for a college baseball tournament. My wife and I were looking for a local place to eat and stumbled across Chappell's. We are big sports fans so we were intrigued by the name of the place. We came in for lunch. We were greeted immediately and sat at a table. WOW! The memorabilia is everywhere. Absolutely awesome. The service was fantastic and the food delicious. We'd wished we'd found this place sooner as we were leaving the next day. However, due to an emergency that kept us in town, we were able to go back for dinner the next night. Again, everything was great. In a nutshell, this place is awesome! Great food, great service, great ambiance.

Service was top notch. We asked about the happy hour apps a few minutes before 3 and were able to get the potato skins. They were very good more like a twice baked potato than the traditional potato skins. My husband had the burger that’s topped with the sloppy Joe. He said it was really good. I had the club sandwich. Again very good. The kids pizza was good sized. Clean restrooms. On street parking.Tons of sports memorabilia.

If you're talking atmosphere this place is a 10... but I'm judging this on food also! I got the tenderloin. It's 100% pre-frozen & the sweet potato fries were undercooked. I was hungry... but the only thing satisfying was seeing the memorabilia! Our waitress wasn't that great either! Overall, I'll return to just look around.. but not to eat here again!

Cinder Block Brewery, established in 2013, offers a variety of craft beers including wheat, porter, and IPA. Located in North Kansas City amidst industrial warehouses, the brewery caters to its working-class neighborhood with unique beer styles and names like Pavers Porter and Weathered Wit. The taproom opens at 8 am and features live music, food trucks, and a selection of fresh beers on tap. Visitors can also enjoy tours of the brewery and outdoor games on the patio.
So many good things happening here! I am not a beer drinker 🤣 but took my husband for a birthday date. I have to say I did really like the cherry cider and appreciated that they had a non alcoholic option that was served just like all their other drinks. Also the plant lover in me was all about checking out all their spider plants and big beautiful babies everywhere! We found a big comfy couch to chill on while ordering food on the iPad at the door for the BBQ place next door. And the best part is in the cold those sweet people brought our yummy food to us at the brew house! They also have a corner of kids toys like cars and board games! Overall the service was great and we really enjoyed this sweet spot!

The beer was fantastic. The service was extremely rude. Great beer alone doesn’t warrant a return. As an edit, the management did reach out to me to rectify the situation twice. That effort does not go unnoticed. I hope they get the issues handled. It was a great atmosphere and as mentioned, the beer was fantastic.

This is a great dog friendly microbrewery in North KC that includes a very neat outdoor patio area with plenty of places to grab a picnic table and hang out. They have outdoor games like bags and boards, as well as a small shaded patio area closer to the door. It wasn't very crowded when we were there but seems like it could handle a decent sized crowd. The beers were great! I had the Weathered Wit (a wheat beer) and The Block IPA. No real food options but you can easily order BBQ from the restaurant next door which is a nice touch.

This is a nice brewery. It attracts a younger crowd, but it was pleasant and enjoyable. There are 3 "rooms", the main room, a quieter side room and the outside. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and willing to give samples, and the side room was quiet enough to chat without yelling. The beers I had all had a very distinct grain flavor as their base with "style" flavors on top. The ciders were very flavorful and refreshing. No complaints on my visit.

Great quiet laid-back place to relax, watch sports or "people watch" while enjoying a drink! Cozy little nooks, small tables, big tables for larger parties, they have it all, and don't forget to grab a "board or card game" to engage and laugh even more! Plenty of room and plenty drinks.... it's worth the visit and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable about their products! Impressive!

Macken Park is such a nice spot! It’s clean, spacious, and has great tennis and pickleball courts. It’s also right by a school, so the area feels really safe—even in the evening. Whether you’re there for a workout, a walk, or just to relax, it’s a solid go-to park. Definitely a hidden gem in the area!

A nice, quiet, shady spot to totally just chill, or if you have barbeque on your mind. Large waste receptaces on site, kept clean and emptied, as needed. Good-sized picnic spots, clean, well- kept walking trails, well-maintained parking areas, and families and pets play freely, in a fun, safe, and child centric play area, with no problems.

Lots of stuff going on down here. From ball parks, hand ball courts & a soft asphalt 1 mile track for walking & running that goes around the whole park. There is a calisthenic section as well but it's not paved it's in the grass so u might get chegroes.

This YMCA is an extremely large and well-equipped facility with a ton of great perks. The rock-climbing wall is a fun feature, and the indoor pool is massive, complete with dedicated swimming lanes and a separate play area. The gym floor is what really stands out—there are so many options and an abundance of clean, well-maintained machines. They provide sanitizer and washcloths, making it easy to wipe down equipment. The huge indoor track and the enormous basketball court round out the offerings perfectly.

An excellent value! This Y location is roomy and well maintained, nice equipment and pleasant staff always. Love the wide track with plenty of natural light and views upstairs. Their dry sauna and steam room are more spacious than the Kirk downtown and I love using the large pool’s lazy river current - a great amenity here that not all locations feature.
Megan O — Google review
Update- I spoke to someone in their admin department who although apologetic did not offer any solution to the problem of their making. She stated they were "trying" to add more pickleball times in the evenings to their calendar, I decide to leave this discriminatory organization and if you look at their schedule they still haven't added any designated use of the gym for pickleball in the evenings so it was just talk to appease us but no real plan to address their discriminatory actions. If you are white playing pickleball or black playing basketball in the gym you'll be happily helped and even encouraged but if you're Hispanic and dare to try to play pickleball they will gatekeep and discriminate. My mother is a senior citizen and has recently been diagnosed with cancer. She tried pickleball since her diagnosis this summer and fell in love. I've been trying to consistently support my mom and go with her to play outdoors but now that it is cold and need an indoor court and this YMCA added pickleball markings in the gym, I thought it'd be a good idea to try this YMCA during the winter months till it warms up again. Big mistake, I spoke to Nick who is the director over the phone to find out the rules and availability, he told me anytime in the evenings first come first serve and the basketball players cannot play full court, so technically there are 4 basketball courts and within that 6 pickleball courts are marked. It has been a horrible experience, even when we arrive first the staff has come up with excuses from they don't have keys to the closet with net (while other equipment was clearly out), to only being able to play on court #1 and making us move our whole set up when we were told by Nick any open court, to never having a gym monitor available to open the equipment closet (and they get angry when you ask for help) and if you're lucky to find one, refer back to no one has keys, then once you actually get playing you'll have employees come harrass you that you should leave because the basketball players want another court open even though we are only taking up 1/6 or 1/4 of the gym while the rest is basketball. The employee who tried to kick us off name is Argyll who's teen son plays basketball, we rightfully refused since we were there first and then he must have advised his son to be rude because they started to throw balls into our court on purpose, I knew it was on purpose because when I would try to return the ball to someone, no one would claim it. In the video you see my mom being refused accommodation to play because Argyll most likely told the basketball players to take up the entire court when they saw us arrive to set up, they were only in one corner when we arrived, Nick then came and told us to leave the gym. So they are all scheming together to prevent anyone other than basketball players to use the gym in the evenings.Nick who told us they weren't allowed to play full court, all off a sudden now allows it, he changed his rules after he met me in person and found out we're not white cause on the phone he was very nice and once he knew my race it was like a light switch change. The stress he and his staff has caused my mom while fighting cancer and simply trying to play something she loves is unforgivable and evil. I don't wish this type of discrimination on anyone, but especially on a senior citizen dealing with cancer.

We attended an open mic, all the comics were polite and followed the time limit. The stage, bar, and bathrooms were all clean. The folding chairs were uncomfortable but there was plenty of space to walk around and not disturb the performance. The menu is fairly sparse and difficult to read but it seems they rotate what they offer. The ice cream bar is awesome, a good selection of toppings and they give a generous amount.

Very cool venue space. The music sounded awesome! We went for a friend's music gig. It seemed just a little weird they didn't have more options for seating on the periphery of the space, except for about 3 small table tops. If I go again I'd probably call to ask if I could bring my own folding chair.

Great location. It’s a small venue but very nice layout and an ice cream parlor attached is plus. Only complaint was the sound. Saw a couple rock bands there and everything was drowned out. Couldn’t hear the lows or mids very well and vocals were muddy.

Union Station. It is one of the greatest buildings ever built. I've loved this place since I was a kid. One of the greatest building marvels of its time. With a rich history from traveling to the Gangster era it's a must see if your visiting Kansas City Missouri 😇

Absolutely gorgeous place! Learning about the building's history was incredibly fascinating. Even if you don't have a lot of time, it's worth dropping in just to view the architecture & the carefully curated history displays about Union Station. Walk around & take in those 95-foot ceilings with a cup of coffee from the cafe on-site or grab a bite of lunch from the restaurant. There is so much to do here & they have featured exhibitions as well. We only visited to view the building & the history displays but they have tons of other stuff to do, so do your research ahead of time. It could easily be turned into a full day of exploration. Long live Union Station!

This place was AMAZING!!! It is worthy of a visit by everyone. The place is generally free - that's why you pay for parking. The first 30 minutes are free. Then you pay $7 for up to 5 hours. It's a but of change after that. The place was big. These are free areas that tells you about trains and you get to walk the large hall. At the front of the place is 3 floors that is about the building and how it was build and restored. That part is free. There's 4 restaurants in there, 2 areas you have to pay for the kids (an outdoor play area, and kids science museum), a movie theater, and a free planetarium. There's also a small interacted science museum that has optical illusions. It was $18 per person. And, of course, a gift shop. There's also an Amtrak that runs to St. Louis. So yes, there's a REAL train there too. And a post office. The architecture is Wonderful-Amazing-Superb!!! The restoration is explained on the 3rd floor of the museum. Very interesting. There's also a part about a WW1 monument that's outside. It's free too. Overall, it's a place for the entire family, couples and older ones. No pets allowed, but they wouldn't get much out of it anyway. A must see!! So, why travel outside of the United States? *wisper* no passport.

All aboard! We had so much fun exploring the Titanic exhibit at Union Station that we’re officially planning round two in Branson! 🚢✨ My passenger name was Clear Annie Cameron — I came to the new world with a friend, we both survived, and yet… I still hopped right back on a ship to England a few years later because America just wasn’t doing it for me. But the wildest part of Clear’s story? She talked about how so many first-class men refused to give up their seats for women and children. Kansas City’s Union Station is wonderful! always something to do and explore. @bucketlistbabekc for more photos

If you're a basketball enthusiast, The College Basketball Experience is an absolute must-visit! Here, you can pay tribute to legendary players and coaches at the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame while exploring interactive exhibits that celebrate the sport's rich history.
My wife and daughter were going to sit this one out and let my son and I go in. I convinced them to join us, and they were so glad they did! We ALL had a great time! They have so many interactive activities, from shooting 3's to dunking to passing drills. We ran a whole game on the courts they have inside, and the actual museum part is super cool too! My kids got to anchor an ESPN highlight reel too! This was one of the best things we did in KC, I highly recommend it!

One part museum, one part carnival basketball experience, one part legit hoop gym. Come with your shoes laced up and ready to put up some shots. Brought my 9 year old son, and we both left drenched in sweat after playing several games. I was expecting a lot more museum experience, but it’s very interactive! No complaints here! We both had a great time learning and playing.

The College Basketball Experience is a cool tourist attraction, especially if you’re traveling with teenage boys. We visited the Kansas City area recently and decided to check it out. It’s an interactive museum where the young and mature can play and explore college basketball. The facility was clean and not crowded on a Friday (4th of July) afternoon. We did not pre-purchase tickets but had no issues at the door. They offer a senior and military discount and the venue can be rented for events, birthday parties and there is a gift shop onsite.

This was such a fun spot for anyone who loves basketball. There are courts where you can actually play, games to practice your shot, and some interesting info about the sport and its players. It was a cool mix of hands-on stuff and things to learn. Definitely worth checking out if you're into basketball.
Amy W — Google review
Exceeded expectations. A last-minute addition to our downtown itinerary, the College Basketball Experience was a hit. It's less a museum, more an "Experience," featuring tons of interactive fun like shooting, passing, and broadcasting stations. The courts are excellent, especially the main one. We also appreciated the well-done history exhibits. Adults and teen loved it. Having visited the Basketball Hall of Fame in Massachusetts previously, we all agreed the KC College Basketball Experience was more fun. Definitely recommend.

Kaw Point Park, located at the meeting point of the Kansas and Missouri rivers, offers a serene natural setting with stunning skyline views. This 10-acre park is steeped in history, serving as a significant stop for the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1804. Visitors can explore the Lewis and Clark Heritage Trail and an open-air education pavilion featuring interpretive signs about the expedition. The park also boasts an outdoor amphitheater for cultural events and performances.
Awesome and historical place to see Kansas City in all its glory. A hidden gem of a park just outside of downtown. It’s worth the quick detour to take in the awesome site. There were plenty of families and fishermen utilizing what the park has to offer. Parking was plentiful.

Nice riverside park with outstanding views of the river confluence and downtown Kansas City, especially at dusk. There are some informational panels that highlight Lewis and Clark's three-day stop at this slot during their expedition in 1804. Other reviews mention a homeless population but I didn't see any during my visit. There was a bit of a smell from the rivers though.

Kaw Point Park is a hidden gem along the riverfront, offering some of the most striking views of the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers and the downtown Kansas City skyline. The park’s natural beauty is especially captivating. Beyond the scenery, Kaw Point Park is steeped in history. Informational panels throughout the area tell the story of Lewis and Clark’s three-day encampment here in 1804, marking an important stop on their legendary expedition. Visitors can walk the interpretive trails, explore the native plant gardens, and imagine what the explorers might have seen as they surveyed this same landscape over two centuries ago. With its combination of scenic overlooks, historical significance, and peaceful atmosphere, Kaw Point Park is a must-visit spot for anyone looking to experience a meaningful connection between nature, history, and the city’s evolving skyline.

Such a staple of what kansas city represents. History and beauty. You get both in heaps at this little nugget of a public park in the Heart of the region. Ease of access. Ample parking. Seasonal restroom availability. Paved trails and boat ramp. And there are MANY historical and informative markers regarding native American habitation to Lewis & Clark's visit and encampment, to native plants and artful sculptures and rock placements. Lots of riverside fishing access for the angler of the family and boat access for boating and fishing. If you live in the area or are just visiting, you MUST stop by and see the views.

I drive by this park every day on my way work and pull in every day to take a photo of the beautiful downtown skyline. Unfortunately, even though the sign states the park opens at 730, it is NEVER open at 730. The person in charge of opening the gate leisurely arrives around 8. Guess his sleep is more important than his JOB!! RIDICULOUS!!! Give me the key and I'll make sure it's open on time every day. This park smells bad and there's lots of homeless people here, too. But that view! It sure is pretty!!

A beautiful and free park near downtown Kansas City with fishing, hiking, gardens, education, history, restrooms, picnic areas and all of the above! This is by far the best part I’ve seen in this entire area. More than enough places to park (for free). And even if this place is crowded, it’s pretty easy to find a place all to yourself. The park is also a beautiful site at night 🌚

Nestled in the heart of Kansas City, the Kansas City Museum is a captivating destination that invites visitors to explore the rich tapestry of local and regional history. Housed within a stunning Beaux-Arts mansion built in 1910, this museum boasts an impressive collection of artifacts and interactive exhibits that chronicle the city's evolution over time.
Cool museum in a cute neighborhood. We were able to find street parking nearby and walked in right as they opened on Thursday morning. We really only came here for the Inciardi mini print machine but explored all three floors of their exhibits. The gift shop had a lot of unique gifts, too. 🪙

Free on Fridays. Interesting place to learn local history about the Long family and Kansas City. The film they show is worth seeing. As for the exhibits, it's good information, more signage than artifacts, but definitely worth the visit.

Absolutely amazing museum! Gorgeous mansion, beautifully restored, and free admission. We had a group of 12 people, and the tour guide was quite knowledgeable. The main floor and lower level was restored to how the home looked as built. The upper 2 floors are typical museum exhibit space, depicting the history of Kansas City, going back to the native Americans who settled in the area. Way surpassed my expectations!!! My girlfriend and I will be back, as our group didn't get much time visiting the upper 2 floors due to our schedule.

Overall this was an excellent experience. This facility is state of the art, and the displays do an excellent job of holding you attention. Also the lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. My only issue is that many of the displays on the 2nd and 3rd floors do have a hard political bent towards one side of the aisle. Overall a good exprerience that I would recomend to others

I didn't know what to expect from this museum, but it's excellent! Great depiction of the development of Kansas City, plus it's for a cool soda shop/coffee bar in the basement.

I've lived here 20 years and only recently stopped in. Absolutely outstanding. Really well done exhibits. The soda fountain is superb. Very impressive. Would recommend this to anyone visiting.

One of the hidden gems of Kansas City. Definitely a must visit museum if you want to learn about the history of Kansas City. The museum which originally belonged to the Long family and was built in 1906 has so much history. Also it’s free to get in, and all the staffs are very knowledgeable about a lot of things in the museum. They also have art works on rotation which means you get to see something new when you visit. Anytime is a good time to visit this museum. I went on a weekend and it wasn’t too crowded. Enjoy:)

Restless Spirits Distilling Company, situated in the lively North Kansas City, offers a variety of Irish-style liquors including single-malt whiskey and poitin. In addition to these traditional spirits, they also produce citrus-forward gin, Missouri corn vodka, and imported Irish whiskey. The distillery provides tours for visitors who can learn about the production process and enjoy tastings. Notably, Restless Spirits has a female master distiller among only six in the country.
What a fantastic stop! We were greeted promptly upon stepping through the door! We sat at a table, the waiter provided us a drink menu, and provided a run down on their spirits. We chose to pick a flight and a snack box! The snack boxes are the prefect portion to pair with a flight. Great service, great product, and relaxed environment. Enjoying 1 sip, 1 bite, and 1 small town at a time. Enjoying everything!

I scheduled a tour with my husband for a date night. He loves Irish whiskey. We arrived a little before our tour to have some cocktails. I ordered the strawberry lemon drop and it was delightful. He ordered the cinnamon old fashioned. He liked it and I tasted it and really liked it too. Adam walked us through the tour and gave a very detailed history on the master distiller and her husband. We learned and walked through their process of making their spirits. We finished off with a tasting and Adam shared more history and background on each spirit. It was a great tour! I'd recommend anyone to do it. It was really cool to see all the bits of history and tradition that they tied into their location and their product. All of the employees were very nice and inviting. They all know a lot about their product and have great recommendations. We will definitely be back, just wish there were more food options.

Restless Distillery Review: An outstanding experience! The Irish whiskey was exceptional—smooth, rich, and full of character. I’m not usually a gin drinker, but theirs was phenomenal—crisp, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. And the vodka? So good I couldn’t leave without taking a bottle home. Highly recommend a visit!

We came in on 816 day to celebrate local businesses offering deals! We were super pleased with the drinks! We tried the margarita, the lemon drop, the espresso martini and the Irish cream (made root beer float style). The vibe is laid back, the staff is wonderful, water is self serve, restrooms are clean and parking is free. Loved everything about this place!

We have been here several times and we love the cocktails. Last night we attended a tiki night led by Cher. It was so fun learning about the history of Restless and the tiki history. Every time we go in here the staff is always so friendly. We look forward to other events in the future and can’t wait to bring our friends!

We went to an Irish Whiskey class, and I would highly recommend it. Conner, the head distiller guided us through the process, as well as giving us a history of Irish Whiskey. The products the Restless Spirit offers are really good. It's definitely worth a visit and taste!!

Pretty small antique kiosk mall in North Kansas City off of Swift. One story with about 40 to 50 kiosks maybe? Lots of breakable stuff which is not good for me as I tend to break things. I was wandering in NKC and walked by this storefront. At first, unassuming but then it was amazing! I'd never tried VR but not only was the experience completely engaging, it was educational and thought provoking. Preston was such a delight and wealth of knowledge. His words were very genuine and he beamed with pride and gratitude while explaining their community outreach endeavors. I'm not a gamer but I will return to this experience.

My family does an escape room game here every weekend. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They are experts at giving just the right amount of help. The price is very affordable and competitive. The escape games are all very different and we really enjoy being able to work together as a team in virtual reality. We did Jungle Quest most recently where we solved puzzles while coming face to face with elephants, lions, gorillas and giraffes. It was amazing! Our favorite escape games so far are Dream Hackers and Escape The Lost Pyramid. They also have a ton of other games, like Elvin Assassin or Loco Dojo that are a ton of fun! I highly recommend stopping in to play a game here.

Dagg Park in North Kansas City has quickly become a popular spot for families, offering a fenced-in splash park with zero-depth entry pool and various water features. The park also boasts two playgrounds, including an ocean-themed play area with tipping buckets and spray jets. Safety is a priority here, making it suitable even for the youngest visitors. Additionally, the 5-acre park provides ample seating for picnics with its numerous tables and expansive lawn area.
Great park! There are several spinning attractions, normal swings, flat swings, lots of things to climb, restrooms and a splash pad. The park is very clean and updated. There was a broken spinning attraction but finding the email online to file a notification for repair was easy. My only complaint would be there isn’t enough seating in the shade or near the main park.
Lucretia W — Google review
My 11 years old daughter has been enjoying this park for many years! They have the splash area! The playground, lots of green areas to seat to read a book and relax while the little ones are playing! They also have bathroom, most of the times they are clean!! If you have kids this is a nice place to take them during summer!!
Krislena A — Google review
This is a nice little park. It has a nice view on all sides of municipal buildings. The park itself has water sprouts as it's main attraction for kids. The park also has a mixture of fake turf and real grass. My only criticism is that the selection of slides and playground activities seem exclusively focused on older kids. Still, overall it's worth going here even with toddlers, but bring towels and a change of clothes for the little ones for when they get done splashing around.
Fraz A — Google review
We love Dagg Park. The whole area is kept very clean. It is gated. There are restrooms on the premise (I’ve not used them, but my kids have). There are a lot of benches, and plenty of shaded, grassy areas for blanket picnics. Much of the shade is provided by trees. We especially love the splash pads and stop by several times throughout the summer to play for free. Another great perk is having the wonderful North KC Library behind the park so you can grab some books before you head home. Support for libraries is crucial so be sure to visit and check out materials often.
J. H — Google review
This is such a great park! It’s completely worth the 20 minute drive. My 1.5 year old loves the splash park and I love that it’s all gated. Gives me peace of mind. I do wish there was some better/more equipment at the playground for the little ones.

We stayed in a junior suite and it was very nice. My only complaint were the pillows are horrible. It is a little walk from hotel to casino but the casino has the newest slots and lots of fun. We ate at the Brew Brothers Express and took our meals to our room to enjoy. Brianna was wonderful that worked there. We stayed here for 2 nights while in town to see the Chiefs vs Raiders. Great trip.

Rooms and service are not very good or worth the process they're asking. I used to get 18 free nights a month and never once did they ever call me by my first name . Hospitality is better at the local petting zoo then this place. I suggest going to Argosy or Hollywood if you're looking for enjoyment. And I'm trying to be nice...cheers!
Jeffrey S — Google review
Felt like a motel 6 quality of room each of my 4 nights slept absolutely horrible! Hotel uses the cheapest low count thread bedding and sheets are SOOOOOO HARD AND SCRATCHY making it IMPOSSIBLE to feel comfortable or relax as it felt I was sleeping on SANDPAPER and it's apparent their maids don't know about FABRIC SOFTNER as sheets felt they are washed in HARD water and not softened with dryer sheets or liquid fabric softener. I am surprised who ever the housekeeping manager is finds this acceptable? Maybe they themselves haven't slept in their own hotel? Or imagined how a guest would feel sleeping on their hard scratchy sheets!! Also, I have a neck injury and the pillows were the absolute worst pillow I've ever experienced in a hotel-PILLOWS stuffed with cheap cotton so HiGH AND STIIFF and HARD that made it impossible to lay your head on (unless your a 300 lb+ person) Its obvious this hotel doesn't invest in quality linens or pillows (just buying the cheapest in BULK) to benefit their profits but give guests the lowest possible quality of sleep. I asked front desk to please bring me a different pillow but they said that's not possible that all their pillows are the same! Maid (Aurora) was young and snotty using TONS of cleaning detergent in an insane amount in the next room it started coming thru my vents making it hard to breathe! When I told her I could smell all her cleaning solution (smelled like pinesol - which I'm ALLERGIC to) she gave me a snippy little attitude and continued to use even MORE making the ENTIRE floor so strong! I continued to tell her that she's using too much if it's coming thru my vents to my room and she just rolled her eyes at me after I asked her to please stop using soooo much as it's strong and I'm allergic! She only ignored me and went to the other room on the other side of my room and used even more till I finally reported to the front desk and was moved to a different room! I've stayed at other Ceasars/Harrahs hotels and was expecting this hotel to match up to the quality of the others... but never again will I stay here.
A O — Google review
Rooms in the Kansas City tower are not updated at all, furniture is from the early 2000's and is all beat up and the carpets are wrinkled. The tub was backed up which made the tub fill while we showered and you can hear all of the toilets flush in the rooms around you and it sounds like someone's tummy gurgling which was a little unsettling to hear all evening. The Brew Brothers restaurant was good though and had great drink choices although throughout the whole place including in the casino, the drinks were very over priced and seemed like they under poured the alcohol. The men's restrooms in the casino were not kept clean but the women's restrooms were actually very well maintained. We ended up leaving a night early because we didn't want to stay another night in the uncomfortable beds and backed up shower.
Nicole M — Google review
Hotel has no amenities worth the price, my room, but no counter space or bathroom had no counter space. The toilet was tucked away in a separate little room, but you had to walk through the shower area to get to it so it doesn’t really increase privacy. The pillows were hard they had nowhere to sit in the entrance while you’re waiting to check in all in all if I didn’t see the band that was playing there I would never go there.
Deanna S — Google review
So the rooms r nice, but if ur a light sleeper the plumping of ppl flushing there toilets will keep u awake. I did not sleep hardly at all the 2 nights we were there, im leaving annoyed and exhausted. There is a mini fridge (i had the turn the temp up on ours) but no microwave -_-. There is a asian food spot in the casino which is good enough, but again no microwave and over priced, but by the time u drive to a gas station for pizza or waffle house, ig itd but cheaper to buy the asian food. Service was good but finding machines to get your card, get cash, redeem tickets, getting a card was very spread out, very annoying, and very exhausting. We didnt win anything at the casino. The hotel was sectioned off by building so, upper class rooms had there own building and elevator which was fancy and the lower price rooms had there own building and the vibe of "gonna get murdered"and the casino was in its own building too. Location was nice, it was nice leaving the casino to go do other stuff and not getting shoved onto a highway or interstate. No Bugs or Bed Bugs that we could see of.
Emma S — Google review
Very friendly staff. Big shout out to the Security officer " Shayne". After we checked out my mother realized that she had accidentally left her jewelry in the room and we contacted the front desk and they connected us to him and he retrieved her jewelry immediately and met us at the check in desk. Verified our identity and gave her jewelry to her. Definitely put her mind and blood pressure at ease!! Thank you!!
Cindy C — Google review
Currently, my main complaint would be second level parking garage. Walked down the stairs and out the door because, well the elevator won't take you where you want to go.Unless you have the key ford, but ended up stuck behind the casino area.Like where the front of the boat part is. Other doors were locked so you could not get in. I had to squeeze between a metal curtain in the lower garage vip section parking to get out the way it was bent up.I'm not the only one that had to do it. But that's okay, because I liked the challenge

The Voodoo Lounge was really amazing. General Admission is standing only and there are a few tables if you get in early enough. There's a bar on both levels and the prices were much better than other venues. If you have not attended a show there I recommend it.
John M — Google review
Went to the Voodoo Lounge for the Boys Like Girls concert and had an awesome time! The venue itself is great — smaller, super intimate, and there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. Standing room only on the bottom floor, and you can pay extra for reserved seating up top. Tickets were very reasonable at $30 each, and the show was amazing. Drinks are pricey though — $25 for a double Crown and Coke felt steep. The only downside was security. They were extremely intense and honestly made my fiancé and me uncomfortable. After waiting in line for an hour, I stepped out to throw away a drink (since no outside drinks are allowed) and was told I’d have to go to the back of the line. I understand they have a tough job, but a little more courtesy would make a big difference. Overall, it’s an awesome venue for live shows, and I’d definitely go again — just expect high drink prices and firm security.

Children's museum
Museum
The Rabbit Hole is an innovative museum in North Kansas City that brings children's literature to life. It has gained national attention and its grand opening celebration was a sold-out event. The immersive space is designed to spark wonder and excitement for visitors of all ages, with colorful and thoughtful exhibits that invite exploration of different books. The attention to detail in each exhibit is remarkable, creating a surreal and nostalgic experience for those familiar with the stories.
The whimsy starts outside on the sidewalk where there are rabbit footprints… my boys hopped on them all the way to the entrance. What a magical and immersive beginning! The museum brings books to life in a new and creative way. Years ago when I heard about this place being built, I jumped on the email list to get updates and see the progress- it was an absolute JOY to come and see the finished space. The details, lighting and craftsmanship on every exhibit are Disney level. My boys loved it (ages 6 and 9) and I was equally excited to explore every tunnel and ladder. Friendly reminder, there’s no running and inside voices only! So before we even got to the entrance I had a talk with the boys so they were prepared for that :) The boys enjoyed that you could touch and interact with everything - the whole experience was unforgettable! Pro-tip - get tickets online to guarantee your spot!
Kiffany B — Google review
The fun starts outside on the sidewalk where there are rabbit footprints to follow from the parking lot to the front door. Inside, children’s books become life-sized for an immersive experience. Several copies of the books represented are placed so that you can sit and read the books as you go through the different areas. This was such an amazing experience! As a librarian. i knew that I just had to plan a trip to KC just to come here! I visited with my grown daughter, son in law, and husband and they thought it was pretty cool. The only negatives were that the prices in the book store were pretty high, there wasn't enough air conditioning or fans moving the air around. We were literally sweating, and some of the bathroom stall doors didn't stay closed.
Wendy W — Google review
What a wonderful place! Artistry is top notch. The "Goodnight Moon" room brought back such sweet memories of my children and now being able to read story to grandchild in this special place is priceless for me. If you can do extra story walk through it is worth it. We had a great time being immersed in the "Three Robbers" interactive story. Magical place. It didn't disappoint.
Donna P — Google review
My toddler, 2 1/2 years old enjoyed this place immensely. Many of the books are vintage and she was not familiar with the stories, mostly because of her age. But there was probably 30+ different exhibits that were interactive and kept her entertained for roughly 2 hours. Highly recommend this experience for children of all ages, especially once that love books.
Ivy A — Google review
This place is amazing! A hidden gem. If you're in the area or just passing through it's definitely a must see if you have younger children (or just fond memories of the book you read as a child). They packed in exhibits on so many classic children's stores (both old and new). They are large, colorful, and faithful to the books they represent. Be aware that while you can touch, and often climb on the exhibits, there's not a ton that are "interactive". Instead you are encourage to read the stories with you party (certainly not a requirement, but a fitting approach).

Every time we come, our little one walks away amazed and full of questions. The exhibits are creative, hands-on, and perfectly blend fun with learning. You can truly see how much thought goes into sparking kids’ imagination and curiosity. Parents, don’t miss this place! It’s not just playtime; it’s an unforgettable learning experience that your children will talk about for days.

We were looking for something for the whole family to do together during some hot summer days. We normally try to go for free options, but this was definitely worth the splurge. We are big readers and Iove encouring our kids to explore through literature. So this place felt like a treasure box!! After the magical entrance through the Rabbit's home - you enter a magical museum full of interactive spaces. Best part: the books for each exhibit are readily available! Since our kids are so used to reading books... They ate it up! I think I read 8+ books that day... Some of the favorites multiple times! The staff was attentive and kind Bathrooms are kind of hard to get to once you are in them museum part so make sure you get to have your little ones go before if you can, because it will be tricky to get them to leave! If you have auditory sensitivity I recommend ear plugs as it can be quite loud. But this was a treat we hope to turn into a family tradition.

Absolutely one of the most unique things we did with the kids in Kansas City! It felt like Bookworm Gardens crossed with Meow Wolf—a vibrant, immersive art experience that brings beloved children’s stories to life. The kids were completely enchanted as they explored each imaginative space, stepping right into the pages of their favorite books. Creative, interactive, and full of surprises—this was a standout highlight of our trip.

The GPS leads you to the vicinity, where you can spot the Statue and navigate your way further. The park is greatly enjoyed, although it's unfortunate that vandals have damaged three of the stations' crosses. An eagle gracefully soars above, while a softshell turtle basks on a structure within the pond. The melodious croaks of spring peeper frogs fill the air on this idyllic Spring day, which happens to be Divine Mercy Sunday.
Lovely place. I went at 2 p.m. on a Saturday and only encountered one other person. Tried fishing for a bit with no luck.

It's a place of complete solace, and guarded by a gaggle of geese! There's cement plaques throughout the park they depict Jesus's last day! The pond is calm and keeps your mind in a state of ease.

We followed the address previously 3848 N Forest Avé, which turned out to be on an unsealed track on a private property, with warning signs and "Beware of Dogs" signs. Visitors should drive to the end of N.E. Davidson Ave, I believe, it's à rear entrance to St. Plus School. The statue and little Park is amazingly quiet and serene. But seem to be under a flight path from KCI.

The GPS gets you to the area. By then you can see the Statue and find the rest of the way there. I enjoyed the park very much. It's a shame the vandals have broken the crosses off three of the stations. There was an eagle circling overhead and a softshell turtle sunning on a structure in the pond. The spring peeper frogs were singing. It was a perfect Spring day to visit. Divine Mercy Sunday. The park could use some volunteer cleanup and some flower bulb donations.

This park is a hidden gem in North KC. There is a small trail for walking&running, and you can also do catch&release fishing
