R.J. Haney Heritage Village and Museum, located in Salmon Arm just off Highway 97 B, is an open-air museum showcasing early Canadian life. The 40-acre village features 24 heritage buildings and over 30 exhibits, including replicas of historic structures like the old courthouse and original library. Visitors can explore the pioneer village with a map detailing historical information about each building. Additionally, the museum houses Indigenous artifacts on loan from local Nations.
A MUST place to visit when you are in Salmon Arm. This charming small village filled with fascinating historical sites. The rich history, stunning architecture, and welcoming locals made it a truly unforgettable experience. Each building seemed to tell its own unique story. If you're a history buff or just love exploring new places, this village is a hidden gem worth discovering! 🏰🌿 Admission fee is around CAD12, don’t need to buy in advance.

Great place for learning and fun for the entire family. Nice restaurant with good homemade bread and soups. Very helpful staff and clean bathrooms. So much to see and kids love the kids museum!! Gold panning was fun for all!

Great place to tour old buildings, relax in the gardens and go to the restaurant. It took us about 2 hours to go through all the buildings on site. After we went to the restaurant on site. Wasn’t too pleased with the meal. We got the salmon and vegetables which was the menu special which was $20. Very tasty but serving was small for the price. Also ordered the harvest sandwich which comes with ham and chicken with tomato and cheese and lettuce. The ham was not ready so substituted with roasted beef. The bread was a tad dry and was falling apart. Not happy with the overall meal. I gave a 5 star rating as the village was great but would give a 3 star for the restaurant

What a fun stop to make in Salmon arm, very kid friendly and welcoming. We got a village tour and tour of the heritage Haney house. We enjoyed the Spring of Heather tea garden as well

We went to the Cowboy Campfire Show with Rob Dinwoodie, Kevin, Dixon and the Cowboy poet and author Ken Mather. A great experience for all. They had everyone involved from the steer roping to singing. Such a perfect venue for evenings like that. I hope that they will be back next year. On top of all of that, the hamburgers were very tasty. Thanks so much to everyone.

Fantastic museum/heritage site/ghost town. My 8 and 3 year old had a fantastic time seeing all the old buildings and artifacts. We took one of the tours of the town and the guide was knowledgeable, my family really enjoyed it. Everything was extremely clean and well kept. We’ve been to Salmon Arm many times and I wish someone would have told us about this sooner. If you enjoy the Three Valley Gap Ghost town, this should be added too your holiday itinerary.

We attended the Murder Mystery Wedding Edition. It was so much fun. Moving from scene to scene was different than normal plays and much nicer than just sitting in one place for the whole show. The actors were great and did a good job. The meal was wonderful and plentiful. We sure would go to another of these.

We had our wedding ceremony at R.J. Haney Heritage Village this fall and we could not have been happier with the venue. Tara was great to work with and got back to our questions quickly and always had answers. She was accommodating with our vision and worked with us to set up exactly what we wanted. Tara showed us multiple places we could perform the ceremony and when we picked one, she was able to organize what we were hoping for. The added benefit of set up and take down was so helpful to alleviate stress on the day and she they let us show up as early as we needed for rehearsal and on the day. The grounds were flawless and beautiful allowing so many great photos and our guests loved walking around the houses and buildings when my wife and I were busy. Everyone said how unique and beautiful our location was. I could not recommend R.J. Haney Heritage Village, Tara, and the rest of the people who helped out enough.

Larch Hills Winery is a family-operated establishment that crafts 100% British Columbia wine using grapes from nearby vineyards. Situated on a hill, the winery offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Visitors praise the attentive staff and recommend trying their Petit Verdot and Tamarack Rose. As the oldest winery in the Shuswap region, Larch Hills features unique varietals like Madeleine Angevine and Siegerrebe.
Located on a hillside, the winery has a beautiful view of the area. The grounds are very nice. The staff were very friendly and pleasant.
Sally R — Google review
Larch Hills is my favourite winery. It's a beautiful property. Highest elevation vineyard in North America. Their wines are fantastic, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they do free tastings. They also have tables and chairs and beautiful spots to sit, looking out over the valley, where you can have a glass of wine, or buy a bottle to share, and various charcuterie and snacks. Some days they even have live music. Make sure to try the Ortega and the Grandview Bench. Of course they have a lot of good wines, depending on your preference but those are my two current favorites.
Cindy B — Google review
Nice winery with beautiful wines and a great view staff were also so welcoming! My husband and I had a great wine tasting experience and the staff even provided colouring and reading books to our young children who had come along with us. We left with three bottles of wine and will be returning for more without a doubt!
Jade M — Google review
Lovely view. Very small tasting area but great wines.

Never disappoints. I’d go back here a 100 times! The owner, the staff are all great. Large variety of wines to choose from. Live music, nice seating area and the view is unreal! Go see for yourself.

What an experience!! 5 stars to the Stunning landscape and their awesome team to share info and goodies. We selected to visit Larch Hills Winery on our first trip to British Columbia. No fee for Wine tasting. Highly recommended

What a beautiful experience we had at Larch Hills. The people are so nice and very knowing about their wines and all the stories behind. We fell in love the first time we came. So we went back for a second wine tasting….still awesome 🤩 They even shipped me a box of 12 bottles to Qc… So we will see you again next year when we come back to BC. Keep up the good work
Geoff K — Google review
Larch Hills is a gorgeous winery located right on a huge hill overlooking the mountains of BC. You can tell that every grape is picked with care and each bottle of wine is made with love. The quality is there! The staff were also incredibly accommodating and friendly, and I appreciated the tastings as well. Larch Hills Winery is such a hidden gem if you’re from out of province on a road trip. Stop by, you won’t regret it! PS: I strongly recommend their Petit Verdot and their Tamarack Rosé. ♥️🍷 Thanks again Wayne and co.!

Canoe Beach is a fantastic public beach with plenty of amenities for visitors. The area offers a grassy ground, small playground for kids, water activity rentals, and an ice cream store. There are both breakwater and sandy areas, as well as treed sites and a volleyball court. While the nearby train track can be noisy when trains pass by, it's still an enjoyable spot to relax and watch them go by.
Wow no one here. We had the beach⛱️ to ourselves. Nothing like a hotpot dinner for two. Great views. Great beach. Great food. Great company. So-so weather. This place looks like an amazing spot on a hot sunny day. Definitely worth marking it for a summer day. So quiet and peaceful in the fall. The Fall colours are amazing and romantic.

DeMille's Farm Market is a family-friendly destination in Salmon Arm, offering a variety of activities and local products. Visitors can enjoy interacting with friendly farm animals and indulging in homemade treats, in-season produce, and locally sourced meats at Pedro Gonzales' next door. Grass Roots Dairies, Canada's first 100% grass-fed only dairy farm, is also located nearby.
Love visiting this farm! The area to go in and visit the animals is always open, they're clearly well taken care of. The market also has so many good items to pick up! The artisan shop, when open, it's super cute too. Definitely check it out!
Sarah A — Google review
The goats here are absolutely insane. I’ve never been jumped on by goats like dogs - it was awesome. Make sure to wear something you don’t care about though because you will get muck all over you. I also recommend getting the large feed bag (2 if you want to feed ALL the goats and not just the crazy ones) because there will be a few that will demand it all. One even ate half of my paper bag while my head was turned. The grocery store was also lovely and good prices on local produce. Their yellow zucchinis were HUGE and a great price. I’ve never seen ones that big in Vancouver. Great deals on berries and stone fruit! We will definitely be back (especially to feed the goats).
Emily G — Google review
Nice place to get your groceries, visit local artistry and of course the petting zoo. Our kids loved that! We were guests from Harvest Host, so we got the chance to camp in the parkinglot and shop first thing in the morning 😉
Diana L — Google review
We love this place and don't go often enough. The petting zoo allows you walk amongst and pet the goats too. Great little stop with the family.

We visited the farm market many times during our stay and absolutely loved it! amazing fresh produce, great salads and basically everything you would want from a Farm Market! Big recommendation!
Anna — Google review
Nice selection of fruits and veggies but on the higher side price wise. They have some animals including goats that you can pet and feed so kids would like that. They have some unique items inside with great selection of hot sauces, jams, cheese, and meats. Got some Saskatoon berry syrup which ive never seen before so looking forward to try that.
Francis — Google review
A great place for fruits, veggies, canning, sauces, specialty items, and great meat. Lots of local food. Outside energy is just as good and there's always a food truck of some sort there too! Check it out! PS. The meat there is top notch and probably the best in Salmon arm

Pub
Restaurant
Barley Station Brewpub is a family-owned establishment located in central Salmon Arm, offering a laid-back atmosphere and a variety of housemade beers and casual eats. The brewpub provides an impressive selection of local beers, wines, soft drinks, and cocktails to quench your thirst before embarking on outdoor activities in the Shuswap area.
Such a welcoming pub. We’re staying two nights in salmon arm. Visited this pub on our first night and enjoyed so much e went back again. Service is top notch. Food comes out so quickly and waitresses both nights were constantly checking up on us to make sure we were all good. Waitresses were also amazingly helpful with changing around things I did and didn’t like in the food. Including swapping out a beef patty for chicken. Couldn’t recommend enough!
Hannah R — Google review
I visited Barley Station Brewpub last night and had an amazing experience! We ordered the bison burger and the seafood linguine — both dishes were absolutely delicious and full of flavour. The bison burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, and the seafood linguine was fresh and satisfying. The atmosphere was warm, and the staff were friendly. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food and a relaxed pub vibe!
Irene — Google review
Definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! We ordered nachos, beef barley soup, and the Barley Station beef burger, along with a cocktail and a craft IPA beer. Everything was so delicious, outstanding, and beyond words! You just have to try it yourself! I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it.

Great welcome, fast and very friendly service. Loved that it’s their own beer brewed on site. The lamb burger was amazing and again locally made. Great experience

Shuswap Pie Company is a charming spot in Salmon Arm that prides itself on making delicious pies using traditional, small-batch methods with the finest natural ingredients. The cozy dining room offers a perfect setting to enjoy morning coffee, freshly baked muffins, and slices of steaming pie while people-watching. Visitors rave about the flaky and buttery crust of their savory pies like chicken leek and steak & stout, as well as their delightful sweet options such as blueberry and peach.
Came in from Kamloops and my doctor’s office’s receptionist highly recommended this bakery 😊 . We stopped and got a frozen blueberry/peach pie to bake at home. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Well OMG….we know good pie lol but this was outstanding!! Not too sweet, not all gloopy with cornstarch, and the flakiest pastry we’ve ever had. Yummy fruit! Even better than my grandmas! We will be coming into Salmon Arm frequently for medical reasons and plan on making this a treat stop each time to try lunch and pick up some more pie! 🥧
A P — Google review
Over the years my wife and I have enjoyed our time eating a variety of savoury and fruit pies. What sets Shuswap Pie Company apart is the dough they use. It is the best due to its flakiness and consistency. When in Salmon Arm, this is the place for breakfast and lunch. During our latest visit with our friends, we had Chicken Pot Pie, Steak and Stout and the Beef Taco savoury pies. And we just loved eating the peach, blueberry and strawberry rhubarb pies. I highly recommend this restaurant as a place to visit.
Ed N — Google review
If you love a variety of pies this is the place. We have never been here before but if we lived around here I think we would be spending a lot of time eating here. I had the bumbleberry pie with ice cream and it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the swirl cheesecake. Unfortunately he wanted the sausage roll but none were to had. We also had cappuccino with were also made just right. The staff were very efficient and friendly. We ate on the little patio.
Jacqueline — Google review
Recommended by a friend (a tour bus operator) during a motorcycle trip through Salmon Arm, this place is amazing! The locals are so friendly and complimented us on fitting 5 motorcycles into one car spot on the street. The pies have definitely earned their reputation and sandwiches are very tasty. At the self-serve water station, you pour water from jugs into cute little mason jars. Service was efficient and friendly, will definitely return when in Salmon Arm again.
Lester S — Google review
Bought frozen pies and baked them at home. We all loved them. Flaky crust filled with juicy fruits. Especially the peach pie was to die for! Very reasonably priced, too. Wish we could buy them in Vancouver area!
Kanako S — Google review
We drive between BC & AB quite a bit, but always seem to pass by Shushwap Pie when it’s closed! Finally were able to pop in and OH BOY, what a treat. Grabbed a selection of slices, already baked, and frozen pies. Lemme tell you, all were a big hit! The crust is light and flakey, the fillings all divine. We also got a couple muffins and lemon bars which were delicious as well. Will definitely try to time our drives better now so we can stop here each time!
Chloe P — Google review
Superb pies! We had a mixture of sandwiches, fruit pies and drinks and all were wonderful. We brought a pie to bring home too as we just couldn’t get enough. We don’t have pies like this in the UK, and mores the pity! Lovely service too.
Philippa N — Google review
Best pies in town - we love to grab a slice fresh or take a frozen pie and keep in the freezer as we don't live in town. Fruit and meat pies are very good. We also ordered fruit pies for our wedding reception in 2018, I think 20 pies for 120 people and it was a huge hit!

The Salmon Arm Wharf is a must-visit wooden boardwalk, boasting the title of the longest inland curved wharf in Canada. It offers stunning views of the bird sanctuary and ecological reserve. Adventure seekers can explore hiking, biking, horse riding, and even snowmobiling in winter. This historic 440-foot structure dates back to the early 1900s and provides an amazing opportunity for leisurely strolls with breathtaking lake views.
This is a must visit place in Salmon Arm. It has a big pay parking lot costs only $1 per hour. Don't forget to pay then go. Beautiful scenery all around the area. The wharf has boats etc for rental. There are one takeout cafe restaurant at the end of the wharf. They offer some sandwiches, fish and chips, spring roll, cafe ,ice-cream and cold drink. The price and the food are good. When I get there, I see so many swallows are crazy busy feeding their babies. It's the first time that I can see the swallows so closely. The babies are pity big and they stand out the nest waiting for their parents. There are also many seagulls around. They stay around and waiting for some food. The washrooms are in the end of the wharf.
Wah Y — Google review
The Wharf in Salmon Arm is an absolute treasure and truly one of the highlights of the area. Walking along this beautifully maintained wooden boardwalk, stretching gracefully over the calm waters of Shuswap Lake, is a serene and unforgettable experience. The gentle sway of the dock, the sound of the water beneath, and the panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains make it a perfect escape from the busy world. It’s the longest wooden wharf in North America, and every step offers something magical, whether it’s watching birds flying low over the water, catching the colors of the sky reflecting off the lake, or simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The wharf is clean, safe, and a wonderful spot for a casual walk, photography, or just sitting quietly to enjoy the view. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this spot is a must-visit in Salmon Arm. It’s one of those places that instantly calms your mind and leaves you with lasting memories.
Salim K — Google review
It's one of my favorite places in Salmon Arm. In the heart of Salmon Arm take a boardwalk stroll on the longest curved inland wharf in North America. The wharf is a great place to watch the local wildlife and take in the beautiful Shuswap Lake. Perfect plan to clear your mind and get some fresh air. This is such a beautiful location. I really recommend this place.

The Salmon Arm wharf was gorgeous. We went on BC Day, so it was pretty chill. We walked through downtown, but most stores were closed for the holiday. Which was actually kinda nice, lots of parking, and we window-shopped...lol. Some small restaurants were open. The buildings and planter boxes were beautiful and worth the walk. If you need a washroom, Askew grocery store has one! Askews was super cute and had lots of cool stuff, like organic products. I totally recommend walking around downtown Salmon Arm and down to the waterfront. It was a great day with beautiful surroundings!
Trudi M — Google review
A beautiful and peaceful lakeside walk! Visited Salmon Arm Wharf for the first time and absolutely loved it. The views of Shuswap Lake are stunning, especially at sunset, and the boardwalk is clean, spacious, and easy to walk. It’s the longest wooden wharf in North America, a great spot for photos, birdwatching (saw lots of Western Grebes), or just enjoying the calm. The nearby park adds to the relaxing vibe, with plenty of space to sit and take in the scenery. A must-visit if you're in the area — peaceful, scenic, and full of charm.

Salmon Arm Wharf: A Scenic Haven for Dining and Wildlife On Friday, August 15, 2025, my girlfriend and I enjoyed a delightful visit to Salmon Arm Wharf, a highlight of British Columbia’s Shuswap region. Seeking a picturesque spot to enjoy our lunch by the water, we found the wharf’s picnic tables to be clean, inviting, and perfectly positioned for a relaxing meal. As we savored our food, the expansive views of Shuswap Lake on a clear, sunny day were nothing short of breathtaking, with the serene waters framed by the distant Coastal Mountains, including the majestic Mount Ida. The wharf, stretching 440 feet and proudly holding the title of North America’s longest freshwater wooden wharf, offers a unique vantage point for visitors. Constructed in 1907 to navigate the lake’s mudflats, it has evolved into a beloved attraction for both locals and tourists. During our visit, we were charmed by the local wildlife, with friendly ducks waddling nearby and a graceful great blue heron patrolling the shoreline. In the distance, bald eagles soared, adding to the natural spectacle. The wharf is a renowned birdwatching hotspot, with over 278 documented species, including ospreys, western grebes, and swans, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts. The adjacent Marine Peace Park enhances the experience with well-maintained grounds, additional picnic areas, and benches ideal for soaking in the views. For those planning a visit, the wharf is easily accessible, though parking near the roundabout can be tricky during peak times—arrive early to secure a spot, with one hour of free parking available before fees apply. Summer visitors can enjoy “Wednesdays on the Wharf,” a lively event featuring live music at the park’s bandstand, perfect for pairing with a picnic or a meal at the nearby Prestige Inn patio. A concession stand at the wharf’s end offers snacks like fresh sorbet, and watercraft rentals are available for those eager to explore the lake. Tips for Visitors: Bring binoculars for optimal birdwatching, as herons, eagles, and other species are abundant but sometimes distant. A light jacket is wise, as lake breezes can be cool even on sunny days. For a quieter experience, visit in the morning to avoid crowds. Note that dogs must be leashed to protect sensitive wildlife habitats. Salmon Arm Wharf is a must-visit for anyone seeking a blend of natural beauty, wildlife, and tranquility. Whether you’re enjoying a picnic, strolling the historic pier, or spotting bald eagles, this destination delivers a memorable experience. I highly recommend it to couples, families, and nature lovers looking to create lasting memories in the heart of the Shuswap!

Visit : July 3,2025 The walk there was amazing especially in good weather. There is a small takeout caffe or restaurant at the end of the Wharf which provides good food for reasonable prices. Huge paid parking available around the Wharf and if you’re in Salmon Arm then you must visit the Wharf.

Grass Root Dairies is a unique 100% grass-fed dairy farm in Canada, offering farm tours and artisan cheese tastings. Their 3.6% farm-made milk and coconut ice cream made with in-house milk are highly recommended. Visitors can stay in an Airstream trailer through Harvest Hosts, sample cheeses, and watch cheese makers at work. The on-site store also offers gelato, yogurt, eggs, local jams, and mustards.
A truly unique farm experience. When in Salmon Arm, you need to visit Grass Root Dairies and try their cheese and milk. Their 3.6% farm made Milk is a must try as you will not be able to find this anywhere else. The taste is much more clearer and delicious than Supermarket milk. Likewise, their Coconut Ice Cream made with their in house milk is very tasty. Coconut shavings and real whole vanilla are present and is a must try when visiting. Their cheese selection is very grand. All were very tasty, but we liked the Might Mazuda Cheese X Aged. Not too expensive too! Their free tour visiting around the farm allows you to see the cows, cheese making process, and the cow housing. If you're lucky, you will find Cody the farm dog walking alongside you asking to play fetch.

Don't miss this gem! Awesome cheese, milk products, gelato, and Dutch treats. Also some great meat products. If you travel with kids make sure you have some time to watch the antics of the goats, take a tour of the barns and have a picnic at the playground

Grass Root is a charming stop in the beautiful Shuswap region, located in Salmon Arm. The farm offers a wide variety of seasonal produce and animal products, along with an excellent selection of cheeses—perfect for taking home. You can pet and feed friendly goat and other farm animals too What truly sets this farm apart, however, is their incredible homemade gelato—arguably the best in the region. Made with fresh, local ingredients and available in a rotating selection of flavors, it's a must-try that draws both locals and travelers alike. And if you're lucky, you might even be greeted by the friendly farm dog on duty!

My family enjoyed this visit to the dairy farm. They opened early enough so we could visit on our way along the #1. We purchased some of their cheese after sampling which one we liked best. We also got some quark that is very yummy. The family got to see the cheese being made and tour the barn. They have clean washrooms too.

Definitely recommend stopping at this family run farm. It's just 2 minutes from the highway, and you won't regret it. Great cheese, super delicious ice cream with their farm milk, fresh egg,.... very friendly staff.

Really neat place to find the best cheese! A family farm where we happened to be there just after twin calves were born. The family encouraged us to go see. We've also seen them in the process of making cheese. So many delicious varieties of cheese and other local products

Great cheese, great service! Fun to feed the chickens and goats etc. Seems like a bigger selection of flavours than last year when we were here.

Grassroots Dairy is a lovely spot near Salmon Arm off the main hwy. Cool shady picnic area on rich green grass. Goats and chickens to amuse you and wonderful cheeses and many other products to sample and buy. May I recommend the Mighty Mazuda! Friendly folks and great place to stock up on cheese, picnic and recharge away from the hustle of downtown Salmon Arm. They are a Harvest Host too for those with a membership!

Hiking Trails
Little Mountain Park is a small hill located in town with numerous interconnected paths. At the top, there is only a picnic table and a bench; nevertheless, the view from there is stunning, making it an ideal spot to relax. The park caters to both children and dogs, providing bike trails as well. Care should be taken while biking to avoid pedestrians. It's always beneficial to engage in a short hike outdoors responsibly.
Nice little hike up the cutest little mountain. Great views of the lake from the top! Benches and picnic table at the summit if you pack a snack or need a place to relax while enjoying the views.

Such a gorgeous, not-so-little walking park, just on the edge of town. You can have your doggy off leash here, perhaps spot some hidden faces in the trees, and you should keep a good eye out for the occasional bear that is seen here 🐻.
Jennifer C — Google review
Great easy hiking trails, multiple trails in one location, none seem more than 15-20mins. Great for people and walking the dogs, lots to smell and pee on(the dogs of course🙄). Scenery is wondrous!
Kevin — Google review
It's a nice trail, I've been taken here for some cross country running stuff I did in elementary, but that was a long time ago. I think this is just a good spot for taking dogs for a walk, getting out of the house into nature, and there's definitely a lot of spots for kids to run around and have fun, I remember making forts and stuff here. Occasionally, you'll see school kids here, although usually it's fine, teachers contain those goofy sillies. I haven't been here for a bit, but I've been going here since I was young. Honestly, it's just a nice trail, it has different routes that you can go through, some quicker and some for those who like their leisurely walks, it's just a good spot. Over all, I recommend it for a nice spot! Have a good time here if you plan to go, or I hope you did have a good time if you did. Have a nice day
Clover — Google review
Beautiful area, so close to home. Many short distance hiking trails through the woods, nice views of the Shuswap Lake and Salmon Arm from the summit. Great place for nice afternoon walk.
Halina B — Google review
An easy climb that can be done by just about anyone. Good for half day adventures just to stroll around the dozen or so trails in the area. The only downside is the lake inside the park is really a glorified pond at the moment. That probably changes throughout the year, but for now to see it you need to walk off the path a bit and hunt for it. All in all, a good place to go for a day walk.
Nicholas B — Google review
This is definitely more of a walk / jaunt. Takes about 20 minutes to mount the summit. Really lovely view from the top. Lots of turds along the way.
KF — Google review
Beautiful views of the Salmon Arm region! The last part of the hike to the top was rigorous, but worth it. The rest is very pleasant. It was not easy for us to orient to the various loops and to find the parking lot where we were parked. As we become more familiar with the area, we will be ok. It's not a large area.

Nestled in the heart of Salmon Arm, the Salmon Arm Arts Centre is a cultural gem that has been instrumental in enriching the local arts scene. Since 2009, it has become a hub for creativity and musical expression, particularly with its weekly jazz jams initiated by three passionate musicians. The centre not only showcases an impressive array of artistic talent through exhibitions like the captivating 20/20 exhibit—featuring over 150 pieces from local artists—but also fosters community engagement with thoughtful programming and events.
The theme with water when I went to see the place. There is no fee to get in but they accept donations. Very nice and friendly place to visit. There's also many artisan shops down the block so if you go see the Art center then you can walk down and shop as well.

The Candy Vault on Hudson is a delightful old-fashioned sweet shop that offers a wide variety of treats to satisfy any sweet tooth. From fresh fudge and juicy gummies to retro sodas and British Dairy Milk chocolate bars, this sprawling candy store has something for everyone. Visitors can also find jellybeans, Pez sticks, Nerds, and other iconic favorites.
Soon as we walked in the door everyone was friendly and helpful right away, the guy checking us out at the till was super kind and thanked us for coming in to the shop as well! The prices were fair and not expensive we found. The candy is really good and fresh, honestly thought it would be just another candy shop but definitely worth the drive from Kamloops! Will be back very soon

I have been coming to the Candy Vault store for a while now and every visit there has always been a good experience. The candy store always have something I like. They have unique chocolate bars, gummi candy and pop from outside the country. All through out the year, they sell different items. Some of them are pricy, but it is worth it. They even serve ice cream on the cone. The people that work there are always courteous and willing to help there customers. They are closed on Sundays and holidays, so make sure you know there business hours. I highly recommend this place for your source for sugary snacks.

I can't say enough amazing things about Sean and his team at the Candy Vault! We had thrown a Harry potter themed engagement party and we were able to get chocolate wands, butterbeer and harry potter icon dummies and of course the famous Bertie Bott Every Flavoured Beans! We had so many people comment how these were such great touches to our day and it create great memories to see the reactions on people's faces when they had rotten egg, dirty dish water or even the stink bug flavoured beans! Thank you so much for adding to our special day and making it so incredibly memorable!

Additionally, visitors can enjoy amenities such as two hot tubs, an arcade, and a gift shop. The waterpark also provides essential facilities like food concessions, coin-operated lockers and showers. The best place ever. Took the kids and they had a blast all day. The staff are also super friendly and amazing!!!!
Ray R — Google review
Stopped off on way through for a couple of hours with my husband and 3 sons (18, 16, 11). Got the twilight rate on entry which helped as all 13+ are classed as adults. Fun couple of hours on the 4 slides, nice hot shower for afterwards and plenty of space to sit for anyone not on a slide.
Marisa T — Google review
Excellent waterslide park. 4 large slides. Reasonable entry fee. Good amount of green space to relax. Likely less enjoyable when the park is at max capacity but the evening we visited it was most enjoyable and the whole crew had fun. The hot tub is not overly hot. There are 3 kids slides and a small mini golf course as well. The slides are in very good condition and the staff are friendly and helpful.
MISTER L — Google review
It's a lovely facility, but the adult slides are frustratingly slow so often times you get stuck mid way down and have to scramble your way down to the next dip in the slide. I also don't think the kids slides have enough supervision so there's far more collisions than necessary near the exits of the two slides. Staff were all super friendly and helpful and a great time all round for the whole family.
Jonathan B — Google review
Had a blast with my family. The lines went fast so we got to go multiple times. The hot tub was a little gross with lots of dirt and murky water. But other then that it was a great experience.

Leah R — Google review
Honestly I read so many mixed reviews and was a little meh about going, especially with an 8 year old who wants to be 16. She loved it, we loved it! Yes there are only 4 slides, but the waits were reasonable (15 mins max) and you're undercover from the sun. It was very busy when we went and I was just surprised with how fun it was! Well worth it and will be going again! The main complaint I saw was going slow on the slides, if you're on the smaller side (adult and kid) and go down sitting up, you're going to go slow. So yah just gotta send it!
Michelle M — Google review
We have kids age 4,6,8 just the right size and speed for them. Lots of older kids there looked like they were having fun as well. Line ups can take quite a while. Worth the twilight price.

McGuire Lake Park is a picturesque park in Salmon Arm, featuring a seasonal fountain in the middle of the lake, walking paths, and picnic areas. The Turner Creek Trail connects the park to Okanagan College and the Rec Center, offering hikers a 2.5 km moderately difficult trail with small ponds for wildlife watching. While lacking playgrounds, it's popular for picnics and strolls around the pond where visitors can spot ducks and Canadian geese.
I have been visiting the Salmon Arm area for 50 odd years and have been coming by this park equally as long. Long before it was ever officially designated as a park. I remember it being beautiful then and it is still beautiful now. I typically visit Salmon Arm in the off-season and it is very quiet and serene to walk around the lake and just enjoy the atmosphere. I will always visit here when I come through this area. I couldn't not.

A 6-year-old girl adores Jungle Mania, a children's amusement center. As newcomers to the town, the family visited the center and found the staff to be extremely friendly and informative about their love for the town. This helped them feel positive about potentially moving there. The center is not overly spacious, which is advantageous as it eliminates concerns of losing a child.
Our 2 and 4yr old had a glorious time here. They played a ton, loved the big slides and all the fun things to climb upon. I enjoyed the good seating for adults and got a tiny bit of work done on my computer. Expect to still keep eyes on your kids of course. The place was pretty busy/popular for a Thursday, but it was still very good. It was also a rainy day here. It did get a touch hot in there, so you don’t likely need to bring a sweater. My kids are now passed out in the back of my van. Excellent. Thanks Jungle Mania ;)
James S — Google review
I wish the facility was kept in better condition. The climbing structure is really falling apart and entire building is not kept very clean. All the couches need repaired/replaced, pieces of food I saw just discarded, furnace needs to be turned on as I found it very cold inside and also needs to be cleaned. Quite expensive at $10 per child and $5 each adult.

We attended a birthday party here today and there was only a child working. They only let you buy the food that they provide which was brought out 30 minutes before the other food. You only get an ice cream cake but they didn’t have forks for the kids to eat it! They didn’t have enough plates or even provide napkins. 10 kids had to eat ice cream cake with there hands. There was people in the group with allergies but you can’t bring your own food like the ice cream cake has nuts on it. Tried to call the manager multiple times without an answer. Honestly terrible for the birthday boy.
Taylor C — Google review
What a poor experience. We booked a birthday party and the room wasn’t cleaned that well, had left over garbage in it from a previous party and the table wasn’t very clean. You aren’t allowed to bring in your own food and the food you buy is expensive for what it is. The “hotdog platter” was 30 dollars for 10 HALF hot dogs that came out and sat on the table for 30 minutes before the pizzas came. When the pizzas did arrive, I had to go and ask for plates. The ice cream cake is pretty small for 10 kids and when they served it to us, I had to ask for plates, forks and a knife again then they told us they didn’t have any forks or spoons because they ran out, the kids had to eat icecream cake with their hands! We had to grab napkins from the bathroom since the kids had to eat the with their hands. No adult or manager available to talk to besides the young kid that was working, we asked for a managers number and when we called there was no answer.

Pedro's farmers' market is a delightful surprise that shouldn't be missed. The range of local produce and unique items available is extensive, including flowers, gardening supplies, bakery goods, snacks, and fresh fruits. The setup of the market is well-organized and spacious, allowing for easy browsing. The prices are affordable and there are various options for purchasing - by weight or in baskets or crates. Visitors can expect to find high-quality produce that exceeds expectations.
Everything here is always so fresh and delicious! I've been here twice and both times I've been here I bought Noodle some cilantro, and both times her eyes absolutely lit up from how amazing it was! She never makes this face with regular storebought cilantro. As for me, the jerky, the steak and kidney pie, and the cured sausages are always so good! Noodle and I can't wait to drop by again the next time we're on our way to visit family!

Dropped in on our way back to the other side of the rockies. Cherries looked good, so we got some of those. The peaches though... really nice. John W — Google review
We are locals and stopped in and were shocked to see some items twice the price of other local Thompson Okanagan growers, for example $5 a pound for local pickling cucumbers…I bought them elsewhere for $2.50 a pound the same day. A tiny basket of overripe blackberries $7? A peach pie for $28?? $7 for 6 buns?Ridiculous. Also, when a person is standing with literally cash in hand to pay for something (cheeses) and you've bagged the items, don’t stop the transaction so you can chat to some Turkish tourists (who weren’t even buying anything) wanting to know all the details including addresses about where to entertain their kids all over the region. I stood there for several minutes waiting to give you my money. Paying customers come first. I watched them drive away without giving you a nickel. If you want us to support local, DO BETTER.

Mountain peak
Mount Ida is a rugged and forested mountain that offers hiking and scrambling routes, providing sweeping views of the surrounding valley and lakes. The nearby Larch Hills offer winter sports activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Due to deforestation for the lumber industry, open habitats have emerged, attracting wildlife and beautiful flowers. The mountain has become popular for recreational activities like hunting, ATVs, snowmobiling, and hiking. However, some roads have been deactivated.
We rode our bikes up from the front side, entering onto the FSR through an unofficial trail off of the top road in the Cemetery. We gained about 1100m in elevation. Once at the trail head, you will have 3 steep sections you will need to climb, but once there, you will be treated to a spectacular view of Salmon Arm and Shuswap lake.
Chris F — Google review
Drove up there in blue (tucson). Rough roads for sure, especially up shaw Road Way, but she handled it like a boss. It is a beautiful view, but you have to drive through rocks, puddles, big divots, and trees to get there.
Seth T — Google review
Took my atv up there today. WOW. What an incredible mountain and the view is stunning. The trail up was very steep, big rocks, rock faces and lots of washouts. Definitely not for newbie’s.
Tyler C — Google review
We hiked this 25 km trail and had a great time overall. We started at 10 AM and finished around 6 PM, taking our time to enjoy the views and breaks along the way. The incline was manageable — nothing too steep — and we didn’t face any major difficulties on the trail itself. The biggest issue we had was with bugs and mosquitoes, so definitely come prepared with bug spray, especially in the warmer months. Aside from that, the scenery made it all worth it. The lookouts were absolutely stunning and offered some amazing views throughout the hike. Finding the trailhead was a bit tricky at first. It actually starts at the cemetery, which isn’t clearly marked, so we spent a little while trying to figure out where to begin. We ended up parking our car in the cemetery as well, which worked out fine. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d definitely like to come back and do it again in another season!
Mohamad G — Google review
Well now good old Mt. Ida is essentially my backyard. Over the years it has lost many trees to the lumber industry. This has created some new open habitat for both animals and beautiful flowers. This mountain has also seen quite an increase on recreational use, like hunting, ATVs, snowmobiles, and hikers. Sadly, many of the roads have been deactivated. This has made it quite difficult to access a lot of areas without an ATV and has made it difficult for those who enjoy gleaning firewood which in turn reduces forest fire fuels. Now that the Salmon Arm access road is closed near the cemetery, traffic has seriously increased at the other points of access. PLEASE be respectfully everywhere and at all times. Access to this mountain is more or less a privilege and we never know when that privilege maybe be cut off. I enjoy the flowers and will include a few pics in this post.

The Foreshore/Raven Trail offers a pleasant walk through a wildlife area, situated near a train track and close to a lake. The trail is mostly muddy, resembling a bridle path in the UK, but is easily passable in dry weather. While there are some wooden walkways in certain sections, they do not span the entire length of the trail. Spanning 3km in total, it is an out-and-back route rather than a loop.
Very nice walk through a wildlife area, next to a train track and close to a lake. Easy walking in dry weather, though most of it is a mud trail (what in the UK would be called a bridle path). The wooden walkway in some of the photos only goes from the path to a viewing platform, not the whole way. The trail is 3km long, and it's out and back, not a loop. Very photogenic in the Spring. Some trees especially in the first 1-1.5km, though I wouldn't really call it shady (maybe in another 20 years when the trees are bigger). Forest style loo at the start (that's a restroom 🚻 for Canadian readers). No car park as such but unless you have severely limited mobility that shouldn't be a problem.

The trail is flat and pretty easy except after a while does get pretty rocky. With mountain bike tires should be fine but we had hybrid bike so much thinner tires so couldn't do the whole thing. Lots of birds along the water though.

A great walking/running/biking path. A great place to go birdwatching. Easy walking path along the shoreline of Shuswap Lake. It's 3km one way to Raven but lots of people just walk part of it.

An extremely easy, peaceful and bird filled trail. We do it almost every morning! Super wide and flat trail that follows the lake and some marshes.

Beauty walk along the wetlands type area. Lots of birds in the spring time. Great walk. You will see tons of wildlife, not just birds. Well worth the jaunt for sure.
Granden B — Google review
Went for the great backyard bird count here and it was a really nice surprise trail network. Lots of birds, few people and an island to walk out on to. On top of that a bird sanctuary, wharf, Park and pier. A nice place to unwind in winter.

Salmon Arm Camping Resort offers a perfect blend of nature and modern comforts, making it an ideal destination for families. The resort provides easy access to trails, RV sites, and tenting areas. Guests can enjoy cozy cabins equipped with power, fridge, and heaters. The friendly staff ensures clean facilities including showers, bathrooms, and laundry rooms. Visitors can also indulge in recreational activities such as pool lounging, pickleball matches, and mini-golf.
Came from Alberta and stayed for a week. Site was a little snug but that was the only negative. Super kid friendly, amenities were nice and clean, less than 9 minutes to downtown salmon arm, the music shows were great to! Will be back next summer for sure hopefully get to stay a little longer.
Jeremy L — Google review
We rented a tent site over BC day weekend. Hosts go the extra mile, they put on shows like karaoke and live music. Kids loved the pool and the washrooms were kept clean as well. Showers were hot. Nice place to camp, we will be back!
Karin C — Google review
Very friendly staff! Quiet (as its away from the highway) and well maintained yard. FREE SHOWERS, although not the best pressure. Great pool, mini golf course, play structure to list a few. Coin washer and dryer also available.
Karoline G — Google review
The campground is small and very quiet, with Walmart just 10 minutes away. It has a friendly atmosphere, a pool, tennis, and mini-golf, plus hot showers and toilets. There are water, electricity, and sewer hookups for trailers. One of the places we’d gladly visit again if we pass by.
Alexander — Google review
Great little RV camp spot in Salmon Arm. The staff are super friendly, the showers are warm and there is room enough to walk your dog around. Cozy RV spot with trees and bushes to give you privacy. Reasonably priced with putt putt golf, pool and pickleball. Highly recommended.

Myself and 2 friends shared a tiny cabin, it was simple but suited us perfectly and had more than we needed Including a pool, wifi, a fridge, and bunk beds. Very Friendly staff It’s listed but not super visible on their website- They have camping mattresses, you bring your own bedding
Chris B — Google review
It was a nice quiet spot. Sure there were families and kids but it was good 👍 the only things that were a concern was a very weak WiFi (which is important when you need to work while on vacation) and the sewer connection was a bit far (and your neighbors sewer was a bit too close).
Paul T — Google review
Good place to stop with your RV around Shuswap Lake area. They have pull throughs, back in's, tent area, pool, pickle ball, playground and even cabins. Lots of folks are setting up here for the entire summer, some year around. Well treed, shade and fire pits. Gravel sites, pretty level.

Event venue
The Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival is an annual event that takes place in the picturesque setting of Shuswap Lakes. It offers a diverse range of activities, making it a favorite among local entrepreneurs. The festival boasts an impressive lineup despite its smaller budget, with five stages featuring both renowned and local bands. Attendees can also enjoy engaging workshops and a variety of food options from vendors. The laid-back atmosphere and beautiful surroundings make it a must-visit for music lovers of all ages.
This was our first Roots and Blues festival despite only living a couple of hours away. How did we miss this for so long! This event is a well oiled machine. Everything from the camping, the organization of spectators at the main stage, the beverage tents, food, toilets, right down to the garbage separation.....it was soo well run. The grounds are huge so even though there are thousands of people attending, you don't feel crowded. The volunteers make this event, they are incredible. The talent secured for the festival was top notch and came from around the globe! Honestly, even though I don't typically listen to this genre, I was so impressed and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. If you want to attend a family friendly, super clean and super fun event, try the Roots and Blues festival next year!
Cindy S — Google review
If you’re coming expecting to hear roots and blues music, you may be disappointed … turns out there was little of either genre. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy myself, but it was not at all what I was expecting as far as the music lineup goes. Besides that, the atmosphere was super, the people were warm and friendly, it was very well organized and camping was just across the street giving it a cozy atmosphere. Great festival but just don’t come expecting to hear much roots or blues.
Joel R — Google review
An amazing collage of music, art, and community. Great local wines and beers! This festival is a must attend for all music lovers in one of the most beautiful areas of Canada.

Waste of $250. First time. Won't come back. Turn up Amanda Marshall's microphone much louder! What kind of sound tech set up are you?!!! Disappointing that Amanda Marshall's microphone wasn't turned up, so we could hear her louder than her back up singers! Such a beautiful voice on a low volumed microphone! Lots of us purchased the expensive all weekend pass too!
CR — Google review
It's a good festival but something really bothered me. For an event that relies on volunteers, even for "dirty" jobs like cleaning garbage, they should do better for the jobs that are actually paid. Stop giving contracts to unethical security companies that only hire from 1 ethnic group. It's not diverse, not multicultural, and not a fair representation of Canada. Alcohol bag checks at every exit in order to sell $9 beers. Even if bringing in water, the guards sniff the liquid up close and it's super unsanitary.
Baggage C — Google review
Music to dance and to chill both blues and rock. Great volunteers, security + drink limits cut down on obnoxious drunkenness, beautiful artisan vendors, giant puppets and other wanderers... Downsides were the cowfield camping with no porta-potties at the back (and some ant infested zones which could have been marked off), and having my sentimentality important San Fran shirt, I'd planned to change into for the evening's dancing, taken instead of being turned in to Lost and Found (if the person reads this you still could return it I'm listed with them). 2025 Musical shout outs to Lloyd Spiegel, Jeremy Kneeshaw, Burton Cummings, and Colin James - all "wow" music. Will go back (but not camp).
J. C — Google review
The festival is very well organized with great musicians from all over the world. It is worth every penny!

Nestled just outside downtown Salmon Arm, Shuswap Cider Company is a delightful woman-owned cidery that has quickly made a name for itself in the local beverage scene. Despite being relatively new, this charming spot offers an impressive selection of ciders, with their Lavender Honey flavor standing out as a must-try. The inviting patio and friendly staff create a warm atmosphere perfect for enjoying your favorite cider alongside delicious wood-fired pizzas from their in-house kitchen.
What a hidden little gem. Thirsty Thursday has $2 off flights of cider, so if you're like me and want to try all of the flavours, you're in luck! An in-house pizza place with wood-fired pizzas was a perfect pairing, along with the comfortable seating and quaint decor. Definitely will be back for a nice, laid-back food and bevy spot.

This is my favorite cidery. I make sure to stop by every time I'm in Salmon Arm and grab a flight. There is a wide variety of options that are usually delicious - the Lavender Honey is my #1, but the Haskap Berry and recently the Maple Oak flavors are also worth shouting out.

The ciders are diverse. They have a good amount of selection. They have a classic and seasonal flight and good choices. Prices start at 12 and 14 bucks. I would stop buy again for anyone that loves cider. Nice patio and nice music. Staff was very friendly as well.

A small little cidery with an amazing vibe. It was a place of fun and laughter for my wife and I. The small batch strawberry and elderflower was a phenomenal flavour and felt so refreshing! Would recommend. I cannot wait to see what the next seasonal flavours will be!

Finally a Cidery in Salmon Arm. Great Location just outside of downtown Dalmon Arm. Patio is very welcoming and comfortable. Staff and owners super inviting and friendly. It was so much fun to be able to perform there with the Sullivan and Jackson jazz bands on June 21st (the former I was a part of before I graduated :').) The crowd was amazing, and it was such a gorgeous day. the acoustics, by the way? chef's kiss, though credit goes to the people who set up our equipment, ehe.. But yeah, it was amazing. I definitely recommend visiting. The grass is also very soft, though there's pinecones the closer you get to the gazebo, understandably. If you plan on staying for a show, make sure to bring your chairs and a blanket. And bug spray. And sunblock.

Great views, amazing wine! Went camping and made a stop for lunch at the winery patio; great charcuterie board options and a sample slider of red or white wines. We enjoyed the sunny late summer brunch a lot and ended up buying a bottle of almost every wine on the sampler. 10/10 would come again and recommend.

Cute dogs that say hello! Loki and Kula are cute puppers. As someone who doesn’t drink at all, I had a lot of fun here. Took the free tour which was quick and nice. Afterwards did wine tasting which was a ton of fun in a group of 4. It was only $20 for a set of white+red . Their wines were absolutely delicious and ended up buying a bottle of the “Twisted Path”. Quiet Park around a homeless shelter/ safe injection site. Unfortunately there are some beautiful houses right next door to the shelter which I'm sure they're not very fond of but in my stay there, the people individually kept to themselves and didn't disturb the community around them from my experience at least . Located just after the train tracks by the church foundation that provides great donation deals / prices for essential and non-essential items, home furnishings and clothing, books

OK spot to take the dog out It can get pretty muddy out there, and there's some huge puddles the dogs like to play in. You should bring a towel if you drive there. Its a huge area for pets to run around in also has a kind of sand track space. Do be careful if your dog is an escape artist there a couple of spots along the road side where they can get out. No trails!

Beautiful well maintained parm with pathways all around to the court house and city hall there are well lit public washrooms (no mirrors :( :( ??) And also a spray park for the kids . The spray park is awesome fun. There are two water spouts you can point around. The water turns off so put your hand on top of the short pole to turn it on again. Just got home from going to see Outside Mulligar. What a great plate. The cast was amazing. It was funny and heart warming. If you haven't gone to see it yet.. best be getting your tickets right away.
Jennifer M — Google review
Last night I attended Shuswap Theatre’s new production: The Virgin Trial. And I have thoughts. Naturally, I assumed you would all care to know. Upon entering the theatre, I was a bit concerned. The stage was sparse, and that always worries me a bit. A table, a checkboard floor, a few faux-antique chairs… what could they possibly do with it? Luckily, as the theatre often does, I was reminded again that creativity knows no bounds and sometimes things are not always as they seem. Without giving too much away, my first accolade goes to the lighting design. The brilliant use of light and screen transformed the seemingly one-dimensional stage into both dark and private places. The trickery was excellent. Moving on to the acting - really, pretty well done. The Virgin Trial is not a feel-good, family-friendly production. The actors worked with strong themes including emotional, physical and political control, manipulation and torture. Ted (Oliver Becker) was clearly a seasoned actor with his beguiling and booming presence. Parry, played by Kyle Herrewynen brought humor and humility. Mary (Shannon Kehl) helped firmly plant this play in a contemporary context with her edgy street fashion and hip-hoppity, swaying hip entrances. Eleanor was just plain mean, which I have heard, is quite the opposite to the Julia Body most know. Amanda Maygard, playing governess Ashley, certainly stretched her acting wings with this one… and kept them up. Thom, played by Uther Radcliffe brought his slightly quirky personality to his character, and it was believable. Finally, the young Princess, Bess. Shayla Diekert brought all the grace, poise and innocent beauty that only young women really can, and I loved her costumes. If I was to offer any feedback, I encourage the cast to play a bit more, now that they are settled into their roles. As a good friend recently said to me, regardless of the theme and tone of the play, the whole point is to have fun doing it. There was only one area that really took me out of this play, and that was occasionally with the sound design. The music choices were incredible. The sound effects were spooky, set the mood and worked for the most part, but they were often all coming from the same speaker, at the same volume, and occasionally overpowered the actors. I believe Director Elizabth Ann Skelhorne has provided Salmon Arm with a real piece of dramatic art, and I hope you will all go and see the production so we can argue over my critiques.

I live here and I go here every day. It’s wonderful to walk around in, with a broad variety of wildflowers and fungi, with my personal favourites, Maianthemum Racemosum and Clematis Occidentalis. I’ve only seen coyotes a few times, and found actual drugs even fewer which is very refreshing for the shuswap.

Food was ok but the service is awful, I hope that this waitress doesn’t rely on tips as she sure the hell isn’t getting one from me. Quite rude in fact

I took my son for dinner and I tried their taco salad bowl for the first time. I hadn't read the menu that carefully and was surprised to find that it included tater tots in the salad! Very different, but I liked it . The taco bowl shell was freshly made & crispy and I loved the salsa they use. The veggies in the salad were crisp and also very fresh. I would definitely have this salad again.

We had a wonderful experience at this winery during our recent visit. The wine tasting was delightful, and we also had the chance to try their strawberry rhubarb and ginger lemongrass drinks—both were excellent! The hummus platter and salsa with chips made for the perfect snack pairing. The winery offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valley. The hostess, Jill, was incredibly welcoming and even shared some of her life experiences with us, adding a personal touch to our visit. They also host events on Fridays and Saturdays, featuring live music and a food truck, which makes for a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping by this winery if you're in Salmon Arm.

My wife and I visited the Marionette Winery on the way back from a wine tour vacation in Penticton/Oliver/Osoyoos. On a whim we decided to try this small winery in Salmon Arm. It is an operation with a lot of heart, and with a number of unique wines that differ from those of the south Okanagan in notable ways. The location is farther north and the grape varietals are different (more German & Austrian) adding to the uniqueness, which we appreciated. The venue reminded me of the small, family-run wineries along the Route du Vin in Alsace. They also have a good offering of food and are open late (until 11pm). The staff were great—knowledgeable, professional, and friendly—and the picturesque location is convenient. I am so glad that we took the time to visit Marionette, and encourage others to do so. And they have good plans for the future—I wish them luck and will visit them next year to see how things have progressed!

This a small quaint Artisan winery. I like going to small wineries with interesting grape varieties to taste how the terroir adds nuances to the flavors. This place doesn't disappoint. First use a mapping app or you'll get lost. Some naughty fellows stole some of their signs. They're only open on weekends but the owner saw me and opened the store for us. Notable is their "wild" which uses naturally occurring yeast from their vineyard. Entwined, their ice wine and reserve Pulicinella are excellent choices. It would be nice to be there on a weekend and have wine and a charcuterie board in their garden which has a wonderful view.

We enjoy visiting Marionette winery when we're in town and this last time (May, 2025) we took my father in law who lives in town. Space was accessible, view was fantastic, wines enjoyable and service friendly. When it started to sprinkle a little rain on the patio where we were sitting, we were brought inside the tasting room where they continued to make us feel welcome. We're wine club members from away, but this time they made a convert of a local. It's always a treat to visit and bring some bottles home.

Gorgeous winery with fantastic service and prices! We were travelling through the area and saw the signs for Marionette’s. We were so happy to meet the incredible host! She so graciously let us sample 5 wines and explained their wine process and how the different wines tasted (which was actually super cool!) I loved being able to sip some wine while looking over the mountains. Super cool experience, wish I would have bought more bottles.

They had live music tonight, and no wine flight - we ordered sangria pitcher which was ok. Food truck was Japanese curry which was not authentic, but tasty none the less.

What a GREAT place! Our family of 7 had a BLAST! Really well organized, Clean, and SO Fun. Fantastic staff went above and beyond to help us have a GREAT time! Conveniently located and easy to find. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a good ride and tasty ice cream. LOVED it! My kids are asking to go back soon.

I personally think this place is fantastic! I remember coming here as a kid about 20 years ago and it was quite run down. I recently visited and was quite impressed with the new ownership, the renovations they have made, and upkeep of the facility. The Karts were fun and my kids (7&4) had a blast. The mini golf course was also fun and well maintained. The ice cream selection was also great and I think everything was priced fairly for the experience we had. I will definitely go back again! It was a great family experience.
Matthew J — Google review
We went go karting and played mini golf and got ice cream on a hot Friday during the summer and it was the perfect place to have fun! There were misters on the golf course to keep us cool and ice cream afterwards. The young men and young ladies who helped us were super polite and always took care of us. Great service! Will be back again next year!
Jared W — Google review
I cannot say enough good things about Salmon Arm go carts and mini golf. We took our family of 8 with kids ranging from age 4-11. The go karts were a blast. I definitely recommend going for at least 10 minutes. It took the kids a few to get comfortable but once they figured it out they didn't want to stop! Mini golf was fun for the whole family. We finished off with some shaved ice. There were so many flavours. Totally delicious. And to top it off the bathroom facilities were well maintained. A great place to stop whether you're staying close or just passing through. Conveniently located on highway 1.
Colleen H — Google review
Loved it! It's become an annual tradition to come here on our family vacation. The only constructive comment I have would be for a system of servicing customers in order of purchase. For both the go karts and the food less aggressive people get pushed to the back. Otherwise we're so impressed with how well the mini golf course is maintained and the overall experience. Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏

We stopped here as a break on a road trip and it was the perfect reprieve to the monotony of the drive! A thrilling gokart ride, delicious ice cream (the strawberry was so good!), and warm, friendly staff made it a highlight my kids still talk about. It would make the best fun, summer date night, too! We look forward to including a visit in our travel plans again the next time we're through.

Sad to say, but we found it difficult to find this place. The 'i' information sign located on another road pointed to a location of where the actual place is located. Finally realized that the info centre is inside the city hall. The 'info centre' consists only of a few slots of pamphlets and brochures with no one there to speak with. You are left on your own to 'figure it all out'.
Donna J — Google review
It's only a display of leaflets. Bit better than you can find online but not worth the walk across town. It would be nice to speak to someone.

I was at your site yesterday at 3:50 p.m. Thursday April 13th, requesting assistance in making a local call to contact a long lost nephew. I was not given any help, but was told to go elsewhere to find a phone.. which was not easily done in the mall . . I would have thought that you were there to give assistance to visitors who request such a small kindness from your staff. You need to visit our amazingly helpful, courteous and efficient Info center at 200 Burrard St. in Vancouver. This is to give constructive criticism so that you can improve your mandate. Jan Hancock

The pleasant climate attracts numerous individuals to the lake, resulting in a high volume of visitors. The narrows can be reached by paddling for two hours from eagle bay, but caution must be exercised due to the presence of intoxicated aggressors who may attempt to capsize your canoe using waves. Renting spots near the lake are available at the narrows, which also provide firewood free of charge for overnight stays.
Nice weather means tons of people on the lake. The narrows are a two hour paddle from eagle bay but watch out for the drunk bullies who will attempt to swamp your canoe with waves. The narrows have nice spots for renting right on the lake, firewood included in the overnight tree too.

There's a bloody store in the middle of the Lake! Super cool. Expensive as hell but that the price of convenience and the only reason I give it 4 stars. You can get anything and rent Seadoos and boats there too. Blew my mind.

Love this spot! Can be great fishing but not last couple weeks. Great spot to stop for a family picnic and a hike. Some very interestingly history here. Three cabins available for a small fee. First come, first serve.
Eileen L — Google review
The campsites here are great, and it's nice to have a dock to tie up the boat. The only downside is the proximity to the bar out in the narrows, which doesn't close until 11 at night, so it can be a bit loud and less than peaceful in the evenings.
James H — Google review
This is a great place for camping on the lake. There is room for houseboats on the west side of the point and many camp sites including picnic tables, cover, and a fire ring. About 30-40 sites! This site also has multiple docks for boats of all sizes. Located right in the narrows, there are many boats passing by for fun and interesting views. The campground is quite large and offers sites close and far away from each other. There is a 2km walk with a small viewpoint, the hike is medium and overall steep. There is also a host couple, Park Operators, on duty for questions and to maintain and enforce safety and enjoyment while camping. Highly recommend it here, I have been many times and enjoy the park. Garbages are located on the East side near the Sea Store for those who have active camping permits!

My partner and I decided to visit OVINO Winery because it was slightly further away from Salmon Arm compared to the other wineries. The wine tasting experience was absolutely delightful, and we ended up leaving with a diverse selection of wines in a case. We were pleased to discover that OVINO grows and produces their own wines, which we found reasonably priced. It is truly impressive to see a local family creating such exceptional wine.
We called by today and were more than pleasantly surprised, we didn't know that they grow and make their own wines. We had a fun wine tasting and purchased a case of reasonably priced wine. It's great to see a local family producing such great wine. Take the time to visit you won't be disappointed.

Travelled here on a recommendation from in town. The drive was lovely out to the winery. I’ve given this a 5 star, just because of the smile Jessica gave us when we entered. She was nothing but a ray of sunshine, with a lot of knowledge. As for the wines, they all tasted so good. I will definitely be coming back in the near future. Keep up the good work

Stopped in without a reservation but were warmly welcomed for a free tasting of six delicious wines. They were reasonably priced, especially if you bought six (10% off) or twelve (20% off). So we purchased two of each one we tried. Ovino uses their own grapes, too. Highly recommend a visit.

Well, as our very first time enjoying a wine tasting; I have to say, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience from the moment we walked in the door until we left... and are absolutely LOVING our purchases! We walked in and were immediately greeted with a cheerful "hi there!" And glasses up on the bar. There were several others there as well and our host never missed a beat refilling our "tester glasses" and telling what we were trying next. We got to meet her and her father during our experience and it was lovely to see the pride they have in their family business! I would highly recommend this experience, as well as their lovely wines to everyone! Enjoy!!!! P.S remember to ask about their red wine and hot pepper red wine jellys!! They are fabulous!!!!

I attended the inaugural Silverbacks game at the Shaw Centre and found the food prices to be reasonable. The arena was spacious enough for a Junior A event, and my only gripe was that my husband thought the ball cap prices were a tad steep. The venue itself is stunning, and I enjoy playing there. There is ample parking available, and the atmosphere is fantastic. In terms of smaller town arenas, the Shaw Centre is one of the best-maintained facilities around.
Great place to watch the Silverbacks play. Concession and alcohol prices are great.

For a hockey arena it has pretty comfortable seats. If you are on the heavier side, you won't feel like you need to be shoehorned in to fit. A good evening of entertainment at a reasonable price, at least for a hockey game.

Definitely a great rink for this city. They offer one smaller colder rink(hucul pond) and one larger rink (spectator). Rink is always clean and professional looking, good maintenence from cleaning the ice to making sure the windows are cleaned, from hand marks, to making sure floors and bathrooms are cleaned. There is a concession in the rink so if your cold don't forget to stop by and grab a hot chocolate/ coffee or a hot bite to eat. Thank you for having this rink in town. Always a blast watching what happens at the rink

The RV park located behind the Elks Lodge in Salmon Arm offers full hookups at an affordable price. While the sites may be small, they have managed to accommodate even a 43-foot trailer amidst the charming old trees. Although we did not utilize them, amenities such as public showers and a playground are available for guests. During our five-night stay at Salmon Arm Elk's Hall & Park, we thoroughly enjoyed the serene and well-maintained environment.
For the last 7 years, May to the end of August, we have called Elks Park our summer home. We are full-time RV Folk, wintering in Yuma, Arizona and spending summer in Salmon Arm. Elks Park is where our 5 grandchildren have grown-up, knowing no other summer home for granny and grandpa. It is a perfect location for us to visit family and friends. Host Holly and Rod have also watched our grandkids grow over the years and we can't thank them enough for all they do. They have allowed our grandkids the freedom to make the best of this wonderful park, and trust me the grandkids have in every way possible. They make it feel like home for us. Holly and Rod take great pride in the park, are gracious hosts, and are always willing to help in anyway to make our stay great. Over the years we have also seen them go out of their way to make other campers stay just as great. We look forward to our return once again next year. John and Joanne Weber

We had our wedding party here. The lady owner was rather accommodating as we had to change the dates twice. We appreciate that and she did let us start setting up a night before. However, some off coloured comments were made about if there was going to be “drumming” all night (my husband is Indigenous and we had set up some teepees for the party). Despite us renting out half of the camp sites, cars were driving in and out of the property which we rented all night, which was relatively disruptive. Despite this, we had a nice time using the space. Unfortunately, in the morning, when we still had the site for a full 24 hours, the male owner was extremely rude and abrasive to my family as we were taking down the structures we set up. He gave us trouble for dropping a pack of rope (we were not finished tearing down and would not have left it there), and then he made a comment asking where my parents lived so he could park on their lawn. He said this because my father had backed his truck up onto one of the sites to load all the things into it. When confronted about it, he got extremely defensive and insisted it was a joke. About 6 people heard his aggressive tone in his comment and it was extremely clear it was not a joke, he just wasn’t expected to be confronted about it. Overall, the space was a 7/10, and the female owner was mostly pleasant. However, the stereotypical comment about Indigenous people, and the rudeness of her husband left a bitter taste in our mouth. You can likely find a better space for a similar price with a host who won’t harass you for trying to get off their property 24 hours early.
Kelsie S — Google review
If I could give zero stars I would. If you are indigenous. I would NEVER recommend this place, even if it were my worse enemy. The lady that works here is awful and so rude. She would watch my children play and constantly get mad and belittle them. This place had so many wasps. We came back to our camper one night and so many wasps got into our camper. My children were crying as I got rid of them. If you're a child, you're going to be scared of wasps. Well the next morning, we woke up to the lady who runs the place, blaring her music, insanely loud behind our camper. From 7 AM! I came out of the camper to check what was going on and she asked me why the kids were screaming last night so I told her and she said "You're packing up right now and leaving!" My brother is handicapped so I had to get him ready, along with my kids before 11. We stayed 20 min past 11 and this lady demanded extra money for us going over. I handed her the extra money when we left but not before she had some happy words from me. I would not recommend this place because she seemed like she did not like us from the beginning because we are indigenous. We followed her rules. My kids stopped playing around the playground and riding bikes, like normal children do. She would constantly watch us and would be very rude to us. Do NOT stay here.
