2 employees at betting counters. Speaking to the male, he was eating a bag of chips and some was spitting out as he spoke. You'd think he would adjust but he kept eating and talking. Later, we approached the lady and she was pleasant and helpful. One table had the pedestal unattached. Could have been disaster with drinks. However, staff was nice and races were on time and fun. We'll go back next season.
Peter K — Google review
It was a first time here for the whole family!! What a great time!! Parking was free, entry was free. The food was reasonably priced. The horse races were great! And the weiner dogs races were super fun/funny as well! We didn't bet any money as we wanted to see what happens first. We will definitely be coming back in August for the basset hound races!!
Amber L — Google review
We had a good time at Fort Erie Racetrack. The kids really enjoyed themselves and it was a fun outing overall. The food was on the pricier side, and the crowd was very scarce, which made the atmosphere a little quieter than expected. Still, it was a nice day out and worth the visit.
Scott S — Google review
What a blast. We went to a food truck race festival. The horses were so beautiful. The roast pig was out if this world. Staff are lovely. Can't wait to go back!
Melissa S — Google review
Amazing staff, good food, for holidays they get right into it and decorate!! Not only can you enjoy some food inside or outside but you can also watch some horse races!!!

I have so much fun here. Free parking. All ages welcomed. Betting only for age 18 or more. Have food stall at reasonable price. Nice ticket ladies to help us as we have known noyhing about racing and betting. 'The Beatles' bands live performance after all the racing.

Had a fun time. Food options are very limited, wish more people could visit, I know it will not get back its former glory but it deserves better.

Old Fort Erie, situated in Ontario, Canada, is a historical site that offers an immersive experience of the War of 1812. The fort features costumed guides, re-enactments, and interactive displays that bring to life the sights and sounds of a fort under siege. Visitors can join daily tours, witness musket demonstrations, and take part in special events such as the Siege of Old Fort Erie reenactment and the Speaker Series.
What a great Fort, and way to learn about the War of 1812. My grandmother used to bring me here in 1968. Fort is still as historically relevant and charming as ever. Great way to teach children about an often forgotten war.
John T — Google review
Old Fort Erie is a national historic landmark located on 350 Lakeshore Rd. in Fort Erie, Ontario. The fort is very well preserved and in immaculate condition. There are daily tours, musket demonstrations and annual special events like the Siege of Old Fort Erie reenactment and the Speaker Series. There is a historic monument commemorating, the fallen soldiers of the war of 1812 in addition to a museum with much historical information relating to the Ford as well as the war of 1812. The site is a true pleasure to visit. Tickets are required and parking is free. The Fort is located on an elevated area overlooking the Niagara river and Lake Erie and the city of Buffalo absolutely spectacular views and wonderful visit to this historical landmark. I highly recommend.

Really cool historical site and totally worth visiting! Old Fort Erie gives you such an interesting glimpse into Canada’s history and the War of 1812. The staff and guides are amazing — super friendly, knowledgeable, and really bring the stories to life with their passion and details. 🏰🇨🇦 The re-enactments and demonstrations make it even more engaging, and the layout of the fort is well preserved, so you can actually picture how soldiers lived back then. There’s a nice mix of indoor exhibits and outdoor areas to explore, plus great views of the Niagara River. It’s quiet, educational, and surprisingly fun — great for both history buffs and families. Definitely recommend stopping by if you want to experience a different side of Niagara beyond the waterfalls!
Khuram S — Google review
My boys and I had a great time and experience here at old fort Erie. We watch an episode of ghost adventures that was filmed here. They were super excited. The musket demonstration was fantastic.

Well worth a visit. Under 18s free. Staff excellent. Information video to start and then a costume dressed guide takes you round. We had Ethan and he was so good. Very informative. My kids loved it here. Lovely gift shop area and small cafe. Excellent parking, loads of space, even for RVs. Easy to get to. We visited before we crossed into the USA on our road trip. It's a great stop on this route as it's so close to the customs border. Great place to soak up some history.
Charlotte D — Google review
We had an excellent time at the fort complex. It began with a ~20 minute film on the fort and war of 1812 followed by a tour of the entire fort. The tour took over an hour, and our guide”Sarah “ did a great job and patiently answered our questions. We also saw a musket firing. There were other displays set up in fort buildings to see on our own. Reenactors dressed in period clothing. After that walked through a very modern and well laid out museum with artifacts and soldiers stories. Has a nice cafe and gift shop. Good, free parking onsite.
Dennis P — Google review
This is a beautiful War of 1812 fort with adjacent museum. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Be sure to take in the reenactments. Be prepared for loud weaponry demonstrations. There is a gift shop and small cafe. Perfect for history buffs.

Great spot for a walk about. Relocated train station from Ridgeway. Locomotive. And plane in Sugarbowl Park with dog park, pond, walking park and lots of green space. Beautiful

I visited here as a spontaneous stop on a pleasant road trip. Small little gift shop, interesting historical information, learned a lot of information about the area. We paid no fees.
Jackie W — Google review
I wish it were bigger and had more info about the history of the place. Great old engine that is sitting there but not much else to discover. I believe the old Grand Trunk Line was not far from this site.
Tim Z — Google review
There's a huge locomotive train to see! (Nothing else)😆 but it is worth 👌🏽
VindiA D — Google review
We had a great experience here. It was a bit of a short visit, but my son really loved it. Shout out to the gift shop for having lots of toys at affordable prices. My only warning is that the gift shop only takes cash so I can only spend the few dollars I had in my pocket otherwise I probably would’ve spent more to be honest.
Brandon L — Google review
If you have a small child, this is one of those places that you’ll only ever leave when you’ve reached the point that you simply need to drag them away screaming (I mean that as a positive, not a negative). It shares a property with the fire station, where they have a small fire truck that your child can get in. At the fire station they gave us a colouring book, plastic helmit, rub-on tattoo, and badge sticker. There’s also a vintage plane on display across the parking lot. We went when it was “closed” on a Monday. This did not matter, as the only place that was off-limits was the inside of the old train station, which has some displays but was not strictly necessary to enjoy the site. All-told: your 3-7 year-old will love it. And there are plaques with information around the train that are also interesting to the grown-ups!

Fun little museum great for kids and railway lovers.

This was one of the places we would always stop at when my family and I would travel to the Niagara Region for our summer vacation when I was a kid. Stopped in to reconnect with my youth as well as with the memory of my dad (he used to work as a fireman on 4-8-4s out of Hornpayne back in the day). It was a bit of an emotional visit. Sadly to to preservation work being done/needed you can't enter the locomotive cab or the caboose at this time.

15 mins tops! Several lanes were open. Efficiency is clearly important. It was even a weekend day, during su.mer season.

Very cool bridge! When we went, back in late May, there were prom pictures happening on it so it was quite rowdy and crowded! Very cool views though.
Sara L — Google review
Great views of crossing over lake Erie. Coming back home to Canada 🇨🇦 is great. Border security personnel at our Canadian side are more welcoming and humble. Love my home Canada 🇨🇦
M. H — Google review
It was ambition to cross the Peace bridge which is between USA and Canada by foot. Well, the day i selected was not favourable as it was too windy and cold. I didn't get much time to record videos as my cap was blown away. The area I wanted to see was the sea barrier between these two countries and it was awesome. Scenery was studding and bit feary too...
Zia S — Google review
I had an exciting experience crossing this bridge on foot. It took me about 15min.
Yesica M — Google review
It is cool to see Lake Eerie to you left and the Niagra river headed towards the falls on your right. You can also see the Canal. The border at the time if our crossing (about 5:00pm on a Saturday) into Canada was quick. It may be helpful to add that it was the same night as game 7 of the World Series in Toronto and the very next day was a big game against the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs. We came back the next day over the rainbow Bridge crossing and that took about 45mins.
Rolland B — Google review
I've always used this place to cross between the US and Canada. Never had any issues. Both sides have been really amazing. Both sides of border patrol have been great! I've never had any troubles and everything went smoothly
大哥哥Eric — Google review
Dear Canadians, I want to share my very disappointing experience at the Canadian border (Peace Bridge) on November 7, 2025. I had driven over 400 km to the U.S. to buy small Christmas gifts for my grandchildren in Florida, since many Canadian stores have closed and our Canadian credit cards are declined when shopping online at most U.S. stores. When I returned to Canada, I declared all my purchases honestly, but was treated with unnecessary rudeness and aggression by a border officer in window 12. I was sent for a full car inspection and spoken to as if I were a criminal — all over a few small Christmas gifts worth $150. I explained to the officers that my husband in usa now and cant order these small gifts online as our cabadian cards are rejected by regulations. I explained nicely that these gifts are coming with me back to Florida within a week with a proof of my teckets. But The officers sent 6 officers to fully inspect my car. And another officers were rude as well , showed no kindness or respect to their own Canadian citizens and the experience left me in tears and shaking hands. I respect the job our border officers do, but I wish they would remember that they are dealing with honest, law-abiding Canadians — people who deserve to be treated with dignity and basic human respect. May be you all are so happy with your job today, but think twice if God is happy with how you are dealing with own Canadian citizens and people overall! Canada is not Welcoming Country anymore!!!

Small but has some interesting artifacts from the First Nations .1812 war up to the modern Crystal beach amusement park And Free at this time. Sadly free might be less than certain as the present council monitorise anything that the local tax payers like to enjoy For Example . The beautiful beach in Crystal Beach which is off limits to those who cannot afford to pay May as well be a private country club.

Considering the size of this museum, there is quit a bit of interesting things in the museum. The only downside was that it was fairly small as I previously mentioned. Nice beach with sand and shells. Be careful when entering the water. Somewhere you can find sharp concrete chunks hidden under the water. Lovely park nearby with ruins that used to be an immense recreation centre mostly for Americans a while ago. The beach has a small parking lot.

Quaint little beach park. Nice for a stroll or bike ride onto the Friendship trail that goes all the way past Old Fort Erie up to Matther Park. Tall trees line the park giving it a majestic look. The water is full of green moss near the rocky areas but is clean to dip your feet into towards the far right as you walk along. It's as the name suggests - a beach park.

Beautiful, peaceful spot to watch the sun come up - and to enjoy the eclipse that happened on April 8. 😉 You get a great view of Buffalo in the distance, the horizon is beautiful, and it's just a really nice place that feels like it's in cottage country. Some cool ruins, though if you have kids please keep an eye on them - they could get hurt. Parts of the beach are private, but there's a large public area as well. There are public washrooms. The sand is "meh". I saw a few people walking barefoot, but there were so many shells and rocks that I couldn't see how it was comfortable for them.
Nikki H — Google review
This is a great hidden gem. I probably shouldnt tell anyone. Brought my 2 well behaved dogs so they could swim and meet other well behaved dogs. Lots of shady places nature walk and nice beach. Public restrooms better kept than some McDonalds bathrooms. Good place fir an after noon nap. Get water before you come. Although the have fountains to drink from. Bring swim shoes as this is a beach of shells and sand.

To find the ice boom, we accidentally stumbled upon this park. There aren't many parking spots. A paved bike trail, and a walking trail. There's a sandy beach, covered by ice at the moment. The cold winter and wind storm turned this little beach into an amazing hidden treasure in March,, 2019. Wind storm in Feb pushed piles of blueish ice near shore. It was a famous amusement park a hundred years ago, including a casino.

Crystal Ridge Park is a charming and well-maintained child-friendly park located in Fort Erie. It features a delightful splash pad with various sprayers to keep kids entertained, as well as playground equipment suitable for both young and older children. The park also offers ample green space, tennis courts, and a dog park nearby. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Erie and explore maritime artifacts while appreciating the spacious and clean surroundings.
We were looking for a splash pad to take our 2 visiting grandchildren to. Fort Erie listed 3 locations. This one was only 10 minutes away so we decided to try it. Our 2 grandchildren ages 4 and 6 loved this child friendly park. It was very clean, we'll maintained and had lots of things for them to do. The splash pad offered numerous sprayers that cycled to keep the kids interest. Additionally, the park offers 2 different areas with swing's and challenging climbing apparatuses. There's a fenced in basketball and tennis court, a large field for football or soccer and 2 covered picnic shelters with tables. We spent over 2 hours with our grandkids and we all had a great time. Thanks to the city of Fort Erie for providing a wonderful place. We will definitely be coming back many times.

Absolutely worth the trip. This was a wonderful experience. There are so many beautiful animals. Some were not visible as they were hiding or sleeping. There are many parks and lots of shade! My kids and I agreed it was a wonderful experience. The staff were extremely friendly. Dakota who checked us in was extremely helpful patient and kind a great employee!

Plenty of animals. Nice place to visit with children. Lots of walking. There's a hop on hop off tram that keeps moving about the place. Animals are in enclosed spaces though (unlike Cambridge African Safari where they roam around freely) and sometimes they won't show. Lots of interesting birds too. Best to avoid going when it's too warm.

Celebrated my daughter's 2nd birthday with their wildest birthday package and it was fantastic. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Being on the giraffe deck and being able to see them up close and having a private feeding time was incredible. My daughter absolutely loved it. Lots of activities to keep your little ones entertained as well as the adults. All of the parents in the group had a great time, some even more than the kids. Highly recommend visiting. Get there early as there are lots of activities to partake in and the walk around the safari to see the animals does take some time.

I had such a great time on this safari! There isn’t a guide, but that actually made it fun to explore at your own pace. Be ready to walk a lot, but they also have a little train/shuttle that takes you to different sections which was super convenient. The highlight for me was definitely feeding the giraffes — such an amazing experience! I also enjoyed the food stalls; they had nice options that made the day even better. Overall, it was a really enjoyable and memorable visit.

We had such a wonderful time at Niagara Safari! The place is clean, well-maintained, and very family-friendly. Our little daughter (just 17 months old) absolutely loved seeing the animals and was so excited throughout the visit. It was such a joy to watch her reactions. The staff were kind and helpful, and the overall experience was relaxing and fun. Highly recommend for families with young kids – we’ll definitely be back and get seasonal pass next year

What a beautiful place this is. Wonderful place to take kids and for adults as well. It will take one full day to see all the animal species. They have tigers, bears, giraffes, rhinoceros, hippopotamus, kangaroos, ostrich and many more. It is also equipped with splash pads and many other kids activities. Ticket price varies from season to season and if you want to skip the line, buy tickets online. If you are bringing kids and forgot your stroller, you can rent strollers and other carriers for smooth ride. There is a toy train that takes you on a tour of whole park. If you want to walk, that is also an option. For adults, there is paddle boating activity. It is extremely beautiful. Parking lot is huge and is free. Depending on what time you get there you might have to park at a distance. If you want to walk inside safari it might be around 2-3 km loop if you want to see all the animals. You can also do partial on train and partial on foot or you can view everything from the train.
Pravesh S — Google review
Was our first time, walked the whole park. Definitely need a wagon. Its a big safari, my daughter had a great time. The splash pad was probably her favorite part ha. Though I wish they had showers, or even just a shower head on the side of the building. Would be good to rinse off. Looking forward to our next visit.

It's the best place to visit with kids. I would recommend to check he schedule for the events like Keeper Talks and Shows. The Pedal Go-Kart and Pedal Boat is another attraction. Also, it's has a big plat area for the kids with splash pad. Also recommend to go as early so as to spend maximum time here.

Stevensville Conservation Area offers a plethora of hiking opportunities along the Niagara Escarpment, with interconnected trails that provide for a satisfying long walk. Despite being somewhat wet in February, the presence of a vault toilet on site is appreciated by many visitors. The venue also serves as an ideal location for receptions and family gatherings, accommodating 80-100 guests amidst its natural surroundings.
Came here with my dogs. Everyone was lovely that we passed by. It was a BEAUTIFUL hike, and even a little field area where we played ball. Super clean and definitely going back.

Nice little spot to hike. Easy walk if you stay on the main paths. No real challenges but very muddy in Spring on the non groomed trails.

Beautiful place to have a reception / family get together! The staff was very helpful and lovely to deal with. The venue is perfect for 80 - 100 guests. Perfect if you are nature lovers like myself and my husband. Our family and friends had a blast! Thanks for the amazing experience Stevensville Conservation Area! I was there on Canada day, we were the only people there, I believe everyone was at Crystal Beach, it's very big, only one place with shade and benches, it's suitable for picnics but u must bring ur own chairs, the pond is very narrow with no ducks in

Ridgeway Battlefield National Historic Site is a valuable educational stop located on hwy 3, offering informative displays that detail the significant battle that occurred there. The well-maintained grass area provides a picturesque setting for leisurely walks, while washroom facilities are conveniently available. This expansive and peaceful open space offers ample information about the historic battle, delivered by knowledgeable tour guides. The park itself is beautifully preserved and serves as a charming location to explore.
Great open space, very quiet, and plenty of information on the historic battle.

On June 2, 1866, a battle was fought here between British/ Canadian Forces and American-based Fenian raiders. On site, there is a monument dedicated to those who fought here and some interpretive boards explaining why this battle took place. Hallowed ground.

The course at Niagara National Golf & Country Club is in excellent condition. It is important to keep the ball on the fairway as it can be difficult to locate it just off the course. The layout is impressive and the greens are receptive, with a slightly quick but consistent pace. The cost of playing here may be a bit high, but it offers good value for money. It provides a challenge for golfers, especially with fescue playing a significant role.
Lots of challenges to make the game interesting! Each hole has its own unique surprises! My score was totally out there! It means I need to play it again and again!! I really enjoyed the whole course!!
Ross D — Google review
Pleasantly surprised! Upon arrival the course representatives were welcoming and attentive. Course was well groomed and maintained and loved the satellite golf cart with ball and an iron cleaner! Price was on par to similar courses and found the course not overly challenging and ideal for mid to high handicappers who are working to improve their game. Will definitely come back and next time I’ll make time to try their clubhouse menu.
Maria D — Google review
Played this course for the first time and loved the layout. Fair price per round as well. Loved the club house, good food and well priced drinks. A friend and I are considering memberships next year. Really like this place. Also love having a cart with GPS in it, top marks..
Tom G — Google review
Not that accomodating. Though we are booked through under par, we felt liked second-class citizen. Golfing with seniors and coming from Toronto, we were never informed that power carts are not allowed until that same morning. No alternate arrangement were offered, just a suggestion from the pro shop to play somewhere else. Very un-professional staff in the pro-shop. Will not recommend this golf course!!!
Ronel M — Google review
We played a fun round on this well kept and enjoyably challenging course. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. Would certainly be happy to play there again and recommend it without hesitation.
Ron B — Google review
Stopped here for dinner and genuinely had the BEST fish and chips I’ve had!!! The service from the server and the kitchen is outstanding! Sometimes they are open later than 6pm for dinner, I just call to confirm. This place is such a beautiful hidden gem!
Keaton T — Google review
The golf was good, course was ok. To expensive for what it is though. 20 bucks per person for a cart so 40$ on top of 35 for 9 holes?!?!? Its cow pasture and farm land . Late for our tee time because we were waiting for a cart. Then they had the people after us already set up at the tee. Pace was ok but this rushed game of golf is uniquely canadian. I don't know if it happened during covid or it's just greed but space groups out more , i can see why it's not a farm anymore.Because good farmers know you need irrigation, this course was like playing in a parking lot.It was so hard ground was so dry that the carry on them was 100 yards or more sometimes. Definitely lost more balls due to this . Greens were super dry and fast. Reccomend irons only if its dry and you aren't a 75 year old guy .
MR C — Google review
Course was challenging but good....Carts a little to much with the LED screens running it....but nine and dine outstanding the food was top notch so was the staff....8 of us got to enjoy this.....Highly recommend the Food here....

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Fort Erie, The Bell Tower Community Arts & Entertainment Complex is a true gem that radiates positivity and inclusivity. This remarkable venue not only serves as a delightful spot for dining and drinks but also stands as a testament to community spirit. The owners have dedicated themselves to uplifting the local area through various initiatives, such as organizing food drives, hosting Christmas dinners, and even coordinating events like the Mother's Day walk for cancer awareness.
In the heart of Fort Erie has this beautiful and welcoming venue called The Bell Tower and I am so proud to see a building being used for entertainment, education and open doors for all kinds of people. I highly recommend everyone to walk on in and feel the same magical powers as I do every chance I have to visit.

A absolutely fantastic place to go eat, and drink. Atmosphere is up beat and positive. The owners are amazing people and have done wonderful things for the community from collecting food and clothes and house hold items, organizing the mothers day walk for cancer. To feeding the community Christmas dinner. There is so much more to say about this establishment, that I could continue praising them and there staff. If you want a drama free night out this is the place to come. Wether it's for a few drinks singing karaoke on a Friday night or coming to one of there get shows. And having something to eat. Take a moment and come on in. Doors are open and come on in to meet the staff.

One of the best things to ever happen to Fort Erie - an oasis of fun and inclusivity. Crescent Beach, a local shoreline and walking destination nestled in a curved bay, is renowned for its shallow waters and picturesque surroundings. Once a year, visitors make the journey to this spot to visit relatives who reside nearby. This private beach, exclusively accessible to residents, is well-maintained and offers an idyllic setting. However, due to the high water level this year, the children had limited space with only about 10 feet of beach from the steps.
It was beautiful a perfect secluded strip of Lake Erie. It was my first great lake and I loved how warm and shallow it was. I could spend my life right there. I'll definitely be back
Nicole M — Google review
A nice secluded sandy beach. Water is shallow and sandy for the most part. I liked that it wasn’t busy or full, probably in large part because of its small size and that it’s situated between private beaches. I gave it a three star because of the size and because there is no maintained washroom except for a porta potty (which doesn’t seem to be maintained. The last date on the maintenance sticker was Oct 2023).
Lil C — Google review
Come up oncr a year to visit my Uncle who lives just down the street. Nice private beach for residents and kept up well. This year with the high water level the kids only had about 10 ft of beach from the steps.

Nice park by the Niagara river and the railway museum. The park is clean and has a dog park inside. In winter, the pond inside the park becomes a great ice rink for kids to play hockey.

Larry C — Google review
We went for a walk and ended up here. My grandchildren loved playing here. It is however under construction next to the playground, however its all fenced off so nobody can get hurt. There supposed to be adding a splash pad, so I heard. There is a dog park as well here.
Wendy G — Google review
We go to the dog park, its great, unfortunately some dog owners let their dogs be aggressive, which ruins the whole experience.
Dave L — Google review
Love taking my chihuahua to the dog park! It's one of the nicest dog parks in Niagara in my opinion I only wish they would split it so there's a small dogs side and a larger dogs side that way I don't have to worry about more aggressively bigger dogs trampling my little chi.

I love this ball diamond T-ball all the way to Senior. I'm 35 now but I stepped foot on the diamond at 4 yrs. old. It was a home away from home and it has not changed a bit except for the snack shop and the ball shack are 1. So if you want to go to support your home town team (The Cannons) I recommend you do! Oh and be sure to check out the senior team. Cheers to the catcher Lucas Cummings! And the rest of course.

Nice ball park. Needs better parking though. Further from the field so cars don't get hit by foul balls.

The outstanding attendance by the local community for this game, really made it worthwhile. Fort Erie's team is really good. This made the baseball game very interesting against the Thorns.

The Niagara Railway Museum Inc. in Fort Erie is a delightful destination for families and train enthusiasts alike. Nestled among other historical sites, this museum showcases an impressive collection of model trains and real locomotives, all maintained by dedicated volunteers who are eager to share their knowledge. Visitors can enjoy hands-on experiences, making it especially fun for young children who can touch and explore the exhibits.
We took our 3 year old son to the Niagara Railway Museum in Fort Erie and he loved it. He got to experience his first locomotive ride. We will definitely be back to check this place out again.

What a great place to visit and see. It’s all run by volunteers and funded by donations so please bring some cash. Lots of Things to see here from model trains to climbing around the real ones. My 2 year old loved seeing it and being able to touch and see it all. The volunteer’s are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Great place to see old iron. Unfortunately with little money they had a small gas generator running inside the building for light I couldn't hear the kids asking questions and trying to answer them. Please move it outside.

Very cute. You can tell they are working really hard to make it a great place to visit. My toddler loved being able to go in and on trains.

Great museum with lots of interesting train pieces from the Niagara region.
Adriana G — Google review
We only were able to see the 6218 as the museum is "temporarily closed" whatever that means. The 6218 is the last steam engine serviced out of the Stratford repair depot so as such it holds a special spot in the history of railway transportation. The engine was donated to the Fort Erie museum and it appears in good condition for it's age. It is quite a site to see, a real part of history.

Rookleys Canadian Art is a hidden gem in downtown Ridgeway, offering a historical and extensive collection of entirely Canadian art. The gallery showcases professional pieces that capture the spirit of the beautiful country, including outdoor scenes. Visitors appreciate the reasonable prices set by the dedicated owner. The homelike atmosphere inside makes it a great place to explore Canadian artists' work. Additionally, nearby eateries provide delicious food for a complete experience.
Visiting Rookleys is a unique and enriching experience. It feels both like an established museum of Canadian fine art and a gallery where the holdings of the 'museum' are available for purchase! Rookleys is a destination gallery nestled in a wonderful downtown with fine restaurants and boutiques, just minutes from Crystal Beach. Never disappointed with my visits, and always look forward to the next!

A great place to discover canadian artists. The lighting and interior is well designed and set up though the middle of the room is a bit empty. Staff is nice enough but I'm disappointed in the lack of art from living or upcoming artists. I'd also like to see a bit more variety in mediums. Overall it's worth a visit if you're in town.
KMDO R — Google review
Absolutely WONDERFUL gallery in the heart of cute Ridgeway! I was stunned at the quality of the artwork, even some pieces from the Group of Seven!!!! Not to mention their staff are ABSOLUTE gems!!! Such rich knowledge of Canadian art, different techniques, styles, and unique stories about almost every painting. 10/10 if you’re in Ridgeway, you have to check this place out, its well worth a visit!!!
Nicole B — Google review
The Gallery is small but charming space that I'm glad I didn't overlook. During my visit, the gallery was quiet, which gave me the chance to really take in the art without distraction. The staff member on duty was friendly, offering tidbits of information when asked but otherwise letting me browse in peace. I was drawn to a landscape painting by John Beatty that reminded me of a place I used to visit as a child. The staff were upfront about the price, which was reasonable, and they explained the artist's background, which made the piece even more special to me. I didn't make a purchase that day, but I left with a couple of artist cards to follow up on. Rookleys Canadian Art is a pleasant spot for art enthusiasts and casual browsers alike. I'm looking forward to my next visit, perhaps when they rotate to their next exhibit.
