Park
Crystal Ridge Park is a charming and well-maintained child-friendly park located in Fort Erie. It features a delightful splash pad with various sprayers to keep kids entertained, as well as playground equipment suitable for both young and older children. The park also offers ample green space, tennis courts, and a dog park nearby. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Erie and explore maritime artifacts while appreciating the spacious and clean surroundings.
We were looking for a splash pad to take our 2 visiting grandchildren to. Fort Erie listed 3 locations. This one was only 10 minutes away so we decided to try it. Our 2 grandchildren ages 4 and 6 loved this child friendly park. It was very clean, we'll maintained and had lots of things for them to do. The splash pad offered numerous sprayers that cycled to keep the kids interest. Additionally, the park offers 2 different areas with swing's and challenging climbing apparatuses. There's a fenced in basketball and tennis court, a large field for football or soccer and 2 covered picnic shelters with tables. We spent over 2 hours with our grandkids and we all had a great time. Thanks to the city of Fort Erie for providing a wonderful place. We will definitely be coming back many times.

Great little park with playground equipment for young and older kids, also small splash pad and lots of green space. Parking is available behind the ice rink. Very cute and detailed play equipment for younger kids.
Georgia T — Google review
Lovely park. Many things for kids to do. Despite not being a kid, I go there and roller skate on their newly paved parking lot. Pickle ball, 🏀 and 🎾 courts! Dog parks are a great bonus. Even if you don't have a dog it's so fun to watch others!!

The Town of Fort Erie does an amazing job in cleanliness. I'm an advocate for zero garbage you own it. However, that's a long way off. We'll done to the town. Bathrooms perfect!

The beach features modern facilities such as washrooms, a playground, pavilion, festival square for community events, an accessible ramp to the beach, and viewing deck extending over the beach. Despite being an isolated beach, it has friendly neighbors who respect each other's space.
Peaceful, sunny day in October 2024. A beautiful and relaxing walk with my husband as we celebrated our Anniversary on a little getaway in Crystal Beach. G&L💕❤️

A smaller beach in Ridgeway. There's a nice little board walk here that you can sit on. I would recommend coming here early before it gets busy. There is a large parking lot though so that helps. Clean beach !
Brooke K — Google review
Nice place to hop in the lake. Good amount of parking. The only downside is the beach area is about 50 feet wide. Which can be fine if it's not crowded but can get cramped if it's busy. Lots of sand and a nice sand bar out in the water perfect for volleyball, or Frisbee.
Tim Z — Google review
Wonderful water, nice sandy beach. Free parking. However, the public part of the beach is about the same size as a double driveway. It's the smallest public beach I've ever seen. Now, the actual beach is HUGE but it's all privately owned. Don't plan to come unless you have a backup plan because it can fill up fast.
Michelle R — Google review
Well its and isolated beach the neighbors are super inviting and friendly and even though its private we were allowed to walk about and swim and play! And we respected other peoples space! We also brought our own garbage bags to dispose of our garbage because we had lots of food! We took our trash with us! Exactly how we came and saw it clean we left it exactly like that! Its beautiful and fun peaceful everyone who came and left were all awesome and friendly folks! I'd definitely go there again!

This place may not be big and nice as the main beach but will do if you just want to take a dip in the water and get some vitamin D.

Brewery
Brimstone Brewing Company & Smokehouse offers a unique experience nestled in a beautifully reimagined 20th-century church. This charming venue is perfect for unwinding on the patio while enjoying an impressive selection of craft beers and delectable appetizers. The atmosphere is enhanced by live music, featuring country and mellow tunes that create a relaxing vibe after a long day. While the menu may be small, it focuses on delicious, locally sourced dishes that complement their brews perfectly.
Really enjoyed "midnight mass" stout ...wonderful darkness, rich malty nose, perfect blend of bitter and sweet...I also really liked the can artwork. I also tried "last ride" (a loving tribute to my favorite amusement park, Crystal Beach) a beautiful can (I'm saving it!!) and a lovely light pink color...a sour that wasn't unpleasantly sour ...just balanced!
Traveling R — Google review
A very unique brewery being operated in a church, with friendly staff, and good beer. The food was hot and fresh, but definitely overpriced for what you get, not memorable. Good selection of beers on tap and they have beers to go on your way out.
Jason S — Google review
Really cool concept but personally our group was disappointed with the beers. We got flights and tried everything on the menu but there wasn’t any we would want to have again. We also expected a bit more vibrant environment but it was very quiet. The food all sounded promising on the menu but similar to the beers, disappointing when tasted. The potato salad was an exception and was quite good
Nicole G — Google review
A cozy but fun brewery in a picturesque little town. Great setting in a former church. Service was friendly, fun and efficient. Food portions are generous. Needless to say that what we tried was delicious! Beer is cold and surprisingly good.
Rose T — Google review
Great little craft brewery in Ridgeway. Dropped in for a cheeky flight and enjoyed the raspberry and lemon sour so much we bought some to take home. Solid brews, a few misses but ultimately that's all down to personal preference. Although the pickle seltzer was unanimously despised by everyone, including the girl serving us who warned us against it. Friendly staff, cool vibes and located in an old church, hence the name I guess. Saturday evening music act was just setting up as we had to leave. Would definitely swing by again and maybe try some of the food too.
Rikki W — Google review
I have been to Brimstone at least a dozen times, usually with my wife prior to a show at the attached Sanctuary. It always has been a wonderful experience (with one glitch on this latest visit, the service was surprisingly poor as we were ghosted by the server more than once). The menu is small but sometimes simple is better. Most importantly though is that the food has always been delicious, and kept as local as possible. The beer selection is always good, keeping us both happy and also trying new ones they may have available. A little off the beaten path, but worth the trip in lovely Ridgeway!
Farley H — Google review
For the first time eating here, I was thoroughly impressed with the atmosphere, serving staff and the quality of food! I wanted to eat something light, so we had soup and a salad, along with their pork tacos. Everything tasted excellent! Next time I will be ordering something more heavy, along with some beers! Looking forward to eating here again!
Dave K — Google review
Food is great, atmosphere great, the main but is that food took about an hour to arrive. We were second table in at Saturday at noon, ordered by 1210. No reason for it to take so long. Even worse was no acknowledgement or apology from the staff, even though we had toddlers with us. Was just strange. You would think the servers (who were great and attentive) would have at least acknowledged the backup and offer some bread or something for the kids. They need to get the sequence figured out. I understand not being ready for lunch on a random Wednesday but this was a Saturday at noon of a long weekend

Restaurant
Rizzo's House of Parm is a small, welcoming spot in a close-knit community, known for its warm hospitality and clean, organized setting. The menu reflects the larger-than-life personality of Matty Matheson, offering American Italian cuisine done well. Customers appreciate the outdoor dining area and ample parking, but reservations are recommended during peak times. The restaurant has shown dedication to addressing any issues and ensuring customer satisfaction, reflecting the values of a good family-run business.
We heard a lot about this place and are so happy that we had the chance to try it ourselves. We sat at the bar and enjoyed having a front row seat to the kitchen’s pass. Everyone working there is so friendly and attentive. The service was truly top notch. The food was delicious! We enjoyed the focaccia, mozzarella sticks, penna alla vodka, and chicken parm. We will most definitely be back!!!
Sabrina L — Google review
Incredible experience overall. Popped by without a reservation and although the restaurant was at capacity, they were able to find us a table on the patio within 15 minutes. John was our server, and he was very attentive and personable. Food was outstanding! We will be regulars here!
Adeeb S — Google review
By far one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the quality of the food, to the warm and welcoming hospitality of the staff, to the homey atmosphere, I would recommend Rizzo’s to anyone. We got the chefs tasting menu which was amazing value- everything you see in my pictures PLUS cannolis which I didn’t get a good picture of but they were phenomenal! We loved hearing about the process of preparing the dishes, its so obvious how much they respect and care about food and dining. The mozzarella sticks take 3 days to prepare, the chilli flakes are homemade and are a 30 days process, and they make everything fresh in house. Nothing is frozen obviously. If you dont want to do the tasting menu- you absolutely cannot miss the mozzarella sticks and penna alla vodka. I would make the 2 hour drive again just for those. Thank you especially to Karina and John for such warm and amazing service! It was an experience we won’t forget!!
Sarah J — Google review
What an incredible experience! We attended Rizzo’s for dinner as part of a bachelorette party. Although our dinner was family style due to our party size, everything was so incredibly delicious and fresh! A few standout items were the Matty’s Salad, Penne A La Vodka, and the meatballs. John was our server and he took great care of us. He was super kind and friendly and made the whole experience that much better. I would highly recommend Rizzos!
Morgan M — Google review
We went to Rizzo’s House of Parm last week and WOW… absolutely incredible. Totally worth the drive in from the city (even though traffic was brutal). The staff could not have been nicer, super responsive and accommodating when we kept updating them on our ETA through OpenTable. We did lose our indoor reservation at first, but they quickly set us up outside, and within 30 minutes they had a table ready for us inside. We were so grateful, they really went above and beyond. Our waiter, John, was a total Pro. He knew the menu inside and out, gave us amazing recommendations, and suggested the chef’s menu ($69 per person). Best. Decision. Ever. The amount of food was insane, in the best way. Everything was delicious, and they even let you take it all home. We left with a huge bag of leftovers and full belly’s. This place is an 11/10. Incredible food, amazing staff, huge portions, and just a killer experience all around. Already planning our next trip back.
Shelley D — Google review
Wow! Where do I begin, the ambiance is so cute feels like grandmas house with the warm lights and tiled floors and wooden bar! The staff feels like cousins you haven’t seen in time, familiar and exciting. Seated by the bar for our first time, waited by Shaina and Shyla, then Oliver for closing. They were so amazing and interactive, their encounter could be the sole reason why I’d return. BUT THE FOOD IS ALSO AMAZING!! Bolognese was my favourite, second was the ravioli! My partner who’s not much of a drinker tried a recommended mix from Shaina and he loved it!! Everything was so amazing!! Can’t wait to return :)
Alyssa D — Google review
Loved the vibe in this family style Italian restaurant but the food was the star! The true meaning of homemade Italian food! The parms were to die for, both chicken and eggplant. All the starters were amazing, we couldn't get enough, though the calamari was maybe slightly chewy, but the sauce it came with was delicious. The friendly service was just amazing, the staff are truly great.
Adam H — Google review
Rizzo’s House of Parm is clearly a well-run operation. We went with the Chef’s Menu for two, which gave us a great mix of items to try. It included two appetizers, one salad, two sides, one Parm (comes with a side of spaghetti), one pasta, and one dessert. We were happy to find out we had some flexibility in what we could choose. Honestly, we’d probably order it again next time. Everything we had was delicious. We ordered the meatballs, mozzarella sticks, Caesar salad, focaccia, roasted potatoes, penne alla vodka, chicken parm, and cannolis. The portions were very generous. We left with four boxes of leftovers and felt it was great value for the price. If we had to pick favourites: the highlights for us were the penne alla vodka, the mozzarella sticks, and the cannolis. The lemon cannoli was our favorite, but the chocolate was also excellent. Easily the best cannolis we’ve had. The house-made chili flakes with scotch bonnets were amazing too, next time I'll see if I can buy some to take home. Service was fantastic. Our server, Stefanie, was friendly and on point. The place does get loud, but it’s clear people come here for a good time and good food. We saw several people turned away at the door without a reservation, so definitely book ahead if you can. This place isn’t trying to be fancy. It’s just solid, quality Italian-American food done right. We’ll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone.

Crystal Ball Cafe is an absolute gem in Crystal Beach! ☕️ 5 * From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and cozy — like your favorite neighborhood spot where everyone feels at home. The food? So good. Whether you’re grabbing a hearty breakfast, a fresh sandwich, or just a treat with your coffee, everything tastes made with care. I especially love that they always have vegetarian options on the menu! What makes this place even more special is the local flair — there’s always art from local artists on display, and they even have a great selection of used books at super affordable prices. You can hang out indoors or enjoy the fresh air with outdoor seating. ❤️ I like to call it the Starbucks of Crystal Beach — but with way more character and heart. Highly recommend!

Had a couple spinach feta pastry with their tomato and basil soup and a double shot of espresso to drink. The pastry was amazing especially for the price, came to 20 bucks for everything It's just a couple minute walk away from the beach so we ended up walking down there to eat but the place is amazing, not overly gentrified still has that small town feeling very cozy and well lit The staff were polite and accommodating they also had a guy singing on the deck, amazing vibes and it's not even the summer yet

What a phenomenal experience here! First off, it was customer appreciation day so I got a delicious pastry. But above that, we were served by Sophia who was super friendly, appreciative of our business & gave my dog a nice little treat. Waverly Beach Park is a charming and picturesque coastal area, perfect for leisurely walks or bike rides along the Friendship trail that stretches from Old Fort Erie to Matther Park. The park is adorned with tall trees, lending it an impressive and grand appearance. While some parts of the water display green moss near the rocky sections, there are clean areas where you can comfortably dip your feet in on the right side of the path.
Waverly Beach in Fort Erie is a hidden gem offering a beautiful and clean escape. Its serene and calm environment is ideal for relaxation, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot for a tranquil day by the water.

Nice beach with sand and shells. Be careful when entering the water. Somewhere you can find sharp concrete chunks hidden under the water. Lovely park nearby with ruins that used to be an immense recreation centre mostly for Americans a while ago. The beach has a small parking lot.

Quaint little beach park. Nice for a stroll or bike ride onto the Friendship trail that goes all the way past Old Fort Erie up to Matther Park. Tall trees line the park giving it a majestic look. The water is full of green moss near the rocky areas but is clean to dip your feet into towards the far right as you walk along. It's as the name suggests - a beach park.

Beautiful, peaceful spot to watch the sun come up - and to enjoy the eclipse that happened on April 8. 😉 You get a great view of Buffalo in the distance, the horizon is beautiful, and it's just a really nice place that feels like it's in cottage country. Some cool ruins, though if you have kids please keep an eye on them - they could get hurt. Parts of the beach are private, but there's a large public area as well. There are public washrooms. The sand is "meh". I saw a few people walking barefoot, but there were so many shells and rocks that I couldn't see how it was comfortable for them.

This is a great hidden gem. I probably shouldnt tell anyone. Brought my 2 well behaved dogs so they could swim and meet other well behaved dogs. Lots of shady places nature walk and nice beach. Public restrooms better kept than some McDonalds bathrooms. Good place fir an after noon nap. Get water before you come. Although the have fountains to drink from. Bring swim shoes as this is a beach of shells and sand.

To find the ice boom, we accidentally stumbled upon this park. There aren't many parking spots. A paved bike trail, and a walking trail. There's a sandy beach, covered by ice at the moment. The cold winter and wind storm turned this little beach into an amazing hidden treasure in March,, 2019. Wind storm in Feb pushed piles of blueish ice near shore. It was a famous amusement park a hundred years ago, including a casino.

Sun Retreats Sherkston Shores is an expansive coastal resort offering a variety of accommodations such as RV sites and cabins. Situated along the stunning sandy beaches of Lake Erie, this premier family beach resort provides free access to a 560-acre property with four kilometers of shoreline. Guests can enjoy numerous amenities including pools, sports facilities, trails, and an array of activities.
"5 stars isn't enough for Sherkston Shores! This place is a paradise for families and fits every budget. From cozy cottages to wooden cabins to camping, there's something for everyone. The beach is AMAZING, and the water park and splash pads are a dream come true for kids (and kids at heart!). Don't feel like cooking? No worries! The food trucks and Boston Pizza have got you covered. And if you're looking for some extra fun, the Water bouncy castle is a blast! I highly recommend Sherkston Shores to young families - it's a perfect spot for a fun and relaxing vacation. The beach is truly the highlight, but you gotta wake up at 6a.m to get a spot. I just can't get enough of it! If you're looking for a great getaway, look no further than Sherkston Shores. I been there every year with my little ones.
Ericka A — Google review
Sun Retreats Sherkston Shores is definitely a place that promises a lot of entertainment for all ages. There is a great kids’ pool, a brand new arcade that my family really enjoyed, and easy access to beautiful beaches where you can try all sorts of fun activities. On the positive side, the resort has a wonderful bar and a good restaurant, which made our stay more enjoyable. There’s no shortage of things to do, and if you love an active vacation with plenty of social atmosphere, this is the right spot. However, if you’re hoping for peace and quiet, be prepared: the place gets extremely crowded, especially in the summer. My camping experience was not as relaxing as I had hoped. Loud music and shouting often continued until 1 am, and unfortunately, the quiet hours policy was not enforced at all. The volume and lack of consideration from some guests made it hard to get proper rest. Overall, aside from the noise and overcrowding, we still had a great time thanks to the many amenities and activities. Returning is definitely something we would consider, but next time we’ll probably skip camping and see what staying in a cabin has to offer instead.

You'll love it here! Park and leave your stress behind. We've got it all - sun, sand, and tons of family fun! Think white sandy beaches with in a short drive. While there with the family, enjoy the beaches when swimming, jet skiing and wind surfing all while playing in the sand. Rent a golf cart for your daily transportation trips to avoid too many beautiful long walks and treat the kiddies n pets to a ride around the resort. YES ITS THAT BIG! Enjoy the local amenities and food trucks and a restaurant or two. Grill onsite at your cabin, vottage or trailer and maybe even a campfire singalong under the stars. The cabins & cottages are super cozy, and we've got beautiful travel trailers too, so everyone can find their perfect spot. Come join us soon! C-yah at the Beach!

Lots to do, but expensive, so if you go budget accordingly. Pretty quiet in the evenings for the most part after curfew, but one night was insane. Sounded like teens were out and about between 1 and 3 am, one golf cart had music up, didn’t make for a good night sleep. If there’s a curfew enforce it. Overall though great place.

Great first time experience. We lucked out and had no neighbors. It was amazing. One thing I could ony recommend is put a little grass seed down at the one cabin where the mud is starting to form. BRING SOME MATTRESS TOPPERS FOR THE ADULTS! LOL We'll be going back for sure!

I can't believe I haven't been here yet. And I can't believe there aren't more places like this in Ontario. Amazing beaches, beaches for party and music, beaches for family fun. Arcade, mini golf, water slides, multiple pools and hot tubs, food trucks, restaurants. Everyone drives around in golf carts. Excellent mix of families and party goers that never really get in each other's ways. You can rent a spot for tent camping, a small rustic cabin with a room for "glamping", a trailer on wheels, trailer homes, even double wides. Or you can buy your own spot there for a reasonable price. I recommend this place to the highest degree. A must visit

Our family has been vacationing at Sherkston Shores for over 5 years. We directly book through Sun Retreats & stay in the Wyldewood area (beachfront property). We have stayed in different parts of the park (Evergreen, Forest Grove, Elco Beach, Quarry Meadows) over the years, but now we pay the extra money to stay in Wyldewood as the lake view is unmatched. Their customer service is exceptional. We pay extra for the linen package so we don't have to bring up sheets or towels. The trailer comes fully stocked with everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. They are just missing the extra details to put it over the top (ex. paper towel holder, soap dish, hooks on doors, etc.). We pay extra for the golf cart to get around. We love all the amenities (mini golf, playgrounds, arcade, tennis courts, basketball courts, etc.) to entertain the kids. Access to the pool, splash pad & slides are included when you book directly through them. You just have to book a year in advance to ensure availability. Also, the weather could be a hit or miss, so something to consider. But overall, we always enjoy our time in Sherkston.

This place has everything you need and more when it comes to sunny vacations with the family!! Beautiful trailers, cabins, camp sites, clean amenities!! Pool and water slides, quarry and big beaches for swimming. Resturants and food trucks, activities galore for the kids and a store with everything you need! We come every summer and will always continue to do so!

Love coming here for the sunsets! On Thursday in the summer they have food trucks 4-9 I enjoy that with my kids, with how many people come at night I would recommend a car vacuum to as so many people are there with cars it would be fun to be by the sunset cleaning out ur car!!!!:)

We had a lovely time at the beach! The area was impressively clean, with soft sand that's perfect for relaxing or building sandcastles. Although there was a bit of algae along the shore, it didn’t affect the overall experience and seemed natural for the location. The beach is also a great spot for families—there’s plenty of space for kids to run around and play safely. Overall, a peaceful and well-kept place to unwind and enjoy the water. Would definitely visit again!

Had a great time at Crystal Beach. The area is well maintained, with soft, clean sand that’s perfect for walking barefoot. The water was clean and clear. There is an entrance fee of $10-15 (cant remember right now - check thrir website), and security does check bags at the gate, which adds a layer of safety and helps keep the beach clean and family-friendly. I’d recommend visiting on a weekday or a regular non-holiday—those times are much quieter. On holidays, it tends to get very crowded. Overall, it’s a secure and enjoyable beach experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a peaceful day by the water.

Crystal Beach Waterfront Park is such a gem! I brought my kids here for an afternoon and they loved the playground—it’s clean, colorful, and safe. After some playtime, we walked down to enjoy the beautiful lakefront views and the peaceful walking paths. I learned how to play DND with Seth. He’s an amazing DM and such a kind soul he helped us all with dice rolls and helped us explore the wonderful universe of DND. He was patient and kind with the whole table and was more than willing to give support. If Seth ever DMs again I can say that me and Gonk (my character) would happily find a seat at his table, I can’t express how much of a kind person Seth is along with the warmth of the store it’s the perfect place to go and have fun!

Great spot to cool off, Grab breakfast, brunch or lunch. We were referred to go here for their smoothies, which were awesome. We also got one of their avocado toasts listed as a special, one of their sandwiches and salads. Everything tasted so fresh and healthy. There have a small seating area inside and a decent sized outdoor patio. It was 100 degrees outside so we sat inside. Definitely a must to stop here and grab either a smoothie or one of their fresh food options when your in crystal beach.

Tony Y — Google review
Drove 2.5 hours from Toronto to visit Blue Goose “Farm”. Perhaps I have different expectations coming from Europe, but I was genuinely shocked by the wooden shed that was the “farm shop”. Don’t get me wrong it was rather sweet but there were only about 10 types of organic vegetables to choose from (a bit overpriced), a few other bits and bobs ($16 butter) and some flowers. You couldn’t even visit the farm. Coming from Europe, I expected a much larger variety, at lower cost and a tour or guided walk of the farm. Maybe even pick your own vegetables or something. It was largely Matty M merchandising which felt quite vacuous. I just felt disappointed. I can’t believe I drove for 5 hours to visit a shed. Their instagram is just marketing/smoke and mirrors frankly. It’s not what I would call a working farm, more just a private allotment. The restaurant next door was decent enough but they served an espresso in a teacup which was beyond hilarious 😂 for an Italian restaurant. Pretty sure any Italian would be horrified by that. Thanks 🇨🇦 but get me back to civilisation 🇪🇺🤣

I was very disappointed with my experience at this spa. I booked both a massage and a facial, and unfortunately, neither service met expectations. The provider used very little pressure during both treatments—it felt like she was completely inexperienced. The environment was also far from relaxing. I could hear every conversation from other clients through the thin walls, which made it difficult to unwind during my massage. Considering the high cost of these services, I expected a much more professional and calming experience. I will not be returning.

Beach
Crescent Beach, a local shoreline and walking destination nestled in a curved bay, is renowned for its shallow waters and picturesque surroundings. Once a year, visitors make the journey to this spot to visit relatives who reside nearby. This private beach, exclusively accessible to residents, is well-maintained and offers an idyllic setting. However, due to the high water level this year, the children had limited space with only about 10 feet of beach from the steps.
It was beautiful a perfect secluded strip of Lake Erie. It was my first great lake and I loved how warm and shallow it was. I could spend my life right there. I'll definitely be back
Nicole M — Google review
A nice secluded sandy beach. Water is shallow and sandy for the most part. I liked that it wasn’t busy or full, probably in large part because of its small size and that it’s situated between private beaches. I gave it a three star because of the size and because there is no maintained washroom except for a porta potty (which doesn’t seem to be maintained. The last date on the maintenance sticker was Oct 2023).
Lil C — Google review
Come up oncr a year to visit my Uncle who lives just down the street. Nice private beach for residents and kept up well. This year with the high water level the kids only had about 10 ft of beach from the steps.
