Sazova Science, Art and Culture Park, also known as Sazova Park, is a popular attraction in Eskisehir, Turkey. It offers a variety of activities for families including play areas, a pirate ship and a fairy-tale castle overlooking a boating lake. The park also features an academic center with wax models of scientists who contributed to various fields.
Loved the park. The entrance is free for the park. However, the different attractions (castle, pirate ship, zoo, etc.) have a separate fee. But it isn't a lot. Kids loved exploring on foot and enjoyed the train ride as well. The play areas with slides and see-saws are nice. The whole park is extremely clean and well kept. The castle was nice but did not have a word of English in it which made it difficult to understand what the cultural pieces/drawings were about. However, it did not take away from the beauty of it. Overall, we had a great time and were there till it was about to close.

A Magical Place for All Ages – Sazova Park is a Must-Visit! Our visit to Sazova Science, Culture, and Art Park (Sazofa) was absolutely unforgettable! The park is incredibly well-designed, offering a perfect blend of nature, education, and entertainment. Whether you're with kids, friends, or just exploring on your own, there’s something special for everyone. We loved walking around the peaceful green spaces and were amazed by the beautiful Fairy Tale Castle, which looked like it came straight out of a storybook. The pirate ship, mini zoo, aquarium, and planetarium were big hits with the kids, while we enjoyed the calm and beauty of the Japanese Garden. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, and the staff were polite and helpful. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into making this park a place of joy and learning. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Eskişehir — it’s a place where imagination and culture come together beautifully!
Wael S — Google review
It was a nice park to take pictures in and had several cafes for people to rest, I could not get in the castle but I don't think they have a lot of fun in there anyways, it did not allow picnicing of any kind which made the experience less fun because what's the point in sitting by the pond if I am not going to be eating some homemade sandwiches by it, right. Other than that, it was free and the weather was good, so I liked the place but can't say I loved it. You can go there just to see the castle and get some pictures.
Esra N — Google review
A nice place to take young kids to enjoy. It is more like a miniature version of Disneyland, but nothing like Disneyland. The surrounding and outside of the building is beautifully designed but nothing much to see inside the castle. The mannequins inside the castle are a disaster, i wonder how they even got approved to be kept there. The 5 star is for just the view and park outside
Muhammad S — Google review
Nice to visit but during the summer it’s very hot to stay outdoor , I advise them to close late during the summer season to give more time for who come late .
Ali — Google review
Wide, beautiful, green place with multiple coffee shops on the site, I was expecting more things to do and more places to visit other than the castle that was mostly restriced which was a bummer, and the pirate ship which was very nice and well made
Safa J — Google review
You can reach to Sazova park by bus or tram. If you go by bus then take bus 11 from Odunpazari which goes to Sazova park directly. There is a bus stop in front of the park. If you travel by Tram, the last station is Osmangazi University. From there, you have to walk for 20 minutes to reach the park. The park is just right side of the university. The park is free for everyone. The park has following amenities- Sazova Castle, Lake, Ship Museum, Natural views, Water Aquarium and Science Museum.
MM O — Google review
This park is open for public with free of charge. Only on certain place such as ship and castle access for adult requires charges with very low cost. The open park was beautiful and well maintained. Some area has provided with small shop to provide water and ice-cream. Or you can bring some foods and drinks from shops outside enternce. Good job Turkiye!!

History Museums
The Eskişehir ETİ Archaeological Museum, located in the Odunpazari district, houses a diverse collection of approximately 22,500 artifacts spanning from the Neolithic period to the Ottoman era. The exhibits feature a wide range of items including marble sculptures, architectural elements, weapons, jewelry and coins.
A fine Roman museum in Eskişehir with a good number of artifacts on-display. One can buy tickets at the entrance. The museum spans over two floors. The place is well-guided and well-decorated. Expect to spend anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Fahd ب — Google review
The Archaeological Museum has some great pieces, especially on the third floor, which is truly amazing. It has more artifacts and a better display compared to the first and second floors, which are okay but less impressive. However, one major drawback is the lack of detailed explanations. Many artifacts are labeled only with basic information like ‘BC’ or ‘Roman period,’ without any descriptions or context about what the item is or its historical significance. This makes it hard to fully appreciate the collection. The museum could greatly benefit from adding more detailed labels and explanations. Entry is 60 TL accessible with a museum card..
Hola C — Google review
The Eti Archaeology Museum in Eskişehir, while offering a glimpse into the region's past, primarily focuses on funerary artifacts, leading to a somewhat limited experience. I'd rate it 3 out of 5 stars. Upon entering, visitors are greeted with a collection dominated by tombs, sarcophagi, and various types of gravestones. While these pieces are undoubtedly historically significant and well-preserved, for those hoping for a broader spectrum of archaeological finds – perhaps everyday tools, pottery illustrating daily life, or more diverse architectural elements – the exhibition can feel a bit repetitive. The sheer volume of funerary items might overwhelm some, leaving an impression that there isn't much beyond the grave. That being said, the museum is clean, well-lit, and the information panels are generally clear and informative, providing context for the displayed items. It offers a valuable insight into burial practices and beliefs of ancient civilizations in the area. However, the lack of more varied exhibits means that unless one has a specific interest in ancient burial customs, the visit might feel a little one-note. It's a decent stop for a quick understanding of a particular aspect of Eskişehir's ancient history, but don't expect a comprehensive overview of daily life or broader societal structures.
Gapi — Google review
Nicely curated, very informative, has interactive pieces which captures the kids imaginations. We had already toured some sites physically which added to our enjoyment.
Kont Z — Google review
This museum has a lot of potential and really needs someone to pick up their socks and make it into something amazing. When you walk in through the garden, there are old ruins. Something interactive or engaging that would help people visitors experience those ruins in a more meaningful way is currently lacking. But it is beautiful and nice to walk through the modern and ancient together in an open space. . The ground floor has little Information alongside the exhibits and little in English. The upstairs exhibits are well documented and exhibited and there are reading materials next to the exhibits. Eskişehir is actually an archaeologically rich place with many dig sites nearby. It is just waiting for someone to wake up and put it on the tourist map in an interesting way.
Aayati S — Google review
For an art lover, this is quite a place to savor lots of old antiques. For students in Turkey, you can enter with the museum card.
Ayoade A — Google review
This museum is part of the national museum pass, without pass it is currently 20 lira for entrance. It is small, but the museum is high quality and beautiful. They even have a few interactive displays.

Eskisehir Metropolitan Municipality Yilmaz Buyukersen Wax Sculpture Museum, located in Sazova Science, Art, and Culture Park, showcases lifelike wax sculptures of Turkish leaders and historical figures. The museum is part of the transformation led by Professor Yilmaz Buyukersen, the current Mayor of Eskisehir.
A lovely wax museum that shows prominent figures across modern Türkiye; e.g. politicians, media reporters, celebrities… etc. One can buy tickets at the counter. Once in, you can explore the various monuments and read about them. They offer audio headsets, too. The monuments are very well made, and look quite real. The place can get quite busy, and needs anywhere between 30-60 minutes to explore.
Fahd ب — Google review
This place runs by municipality however they charge extra for taking a photography (by professional photographer) with the sculptures in some of the area. This extra charge uses for education and scholarship of the girl students. It doesn’t bother you, it uses for good will. The sculptures are looking good and also, some of them exactly the same as its model (looking very real) If you visiting Eskişehir, you should see this place.

Title: Nice local wax figure museum of mostly Turkish and some international personalities. The founder and talented artist of this museum was also the mayor of Eskişehir + Over 100 figures... so you can see a lot + Some figures looked very real and was detailed worked + Entree fee was ok + A lot of Turkish legends from Atatürk until the Sultans of Ottoman empire + There is an area that tells the story of the liberation war in Eskişehir (in world war I) with a lot of relics to see o Some figures was behind of glas - In 2 areas it was forbidden to make photos. In one area they put their own photographer for extra cash - On some figures the quality or similarity was not given. It looks like different kinds of artists worked on the figures, some talented, some not. - A lot of figures was reporters of some known Turkish newspapers and TV programs. This part was a little boring for me ************************** Explanation of my votings + Pro - Contra o Only for your information 5 Stars: It was really special, you must try it 4 Stars: It was nice, you should try it 3 Stars: Nothing special, you could try it 2 Stars: Try only if you have no alternative 1 Stars: Bad, don't bother trying
Prusias — Google review
The eskiseher version of wax museum, alot of local heros followed by the statues of past heros and ottomans too. Very little amount of international personalities are there and in that section no photos are allowed. Do visit if your fan of favourite personalities of the country otherwise don’t be misled to find international artists or individuals’s waxes.

I had better experience when it was first opened. Still good place to visit on your way to Kursunlu Mosque or Odunpazari Houses. Wax sculptures of celebrities and historic people. Worth seeing 👍
Hami K — Google review
It's a must see if you're visiting Eskişehir. Consists of a lot of famous figures of Turkey and all wax statutes are made by the city's mayor Yılmaz Büyükerşen. It's a bit crowded at the weekends. Entrance is also inexpensive, an ordinary ticket is 10 liras and students and older people 5 liras.
G. K — Google review
Based mostly on Turkish leading figures, the wax museum boasts small but handy collection. The Museum has longer queues owing to safety parameters regarding Covid19.

Such a nice place if you like modern art. It’s not very big , if you want to read everything it will take probably around an hour. We went there by walking so I have no idea about parking. There is odunpazari historical and old themed places around which is nice to walk around after museum.

The best museum in Eskişehir. Some items are really great and creative. The building has a nice and modern design surrounded in a traditional area. It has a nice cafe to enjoy too.
Nesa M — Google review
Let me start by saying the building looks amazing, the architects deserve a round of applause; inside and out it’s amazing work. Ot only is the building amazing, but so is the art work inside. The museum itself costs 100 Lira to enter ($3). The art work inside the museum is incredible and really creative. I wouldn’t say I go out of my way to go to art museums but this one is definitely worth it if you’re in the city, value for money too.

There were modern art glass, some very creative. Three main rooms, a central courtyard with the Chihuly style glass chandelier. That piece could use a cleaning. On the hot day we visited the central area had some appreciated nice cool air blowing and benches to sit and rest.

Nestled within the historic Kursunlu Complex, the Eskisehir Meerschaum Museum is a delightful gem that showcases exquisite artworks crafted from sepiolite, commonly known as white meerschaum. Opened in 2008, this museum offers visitors a unique glimpse into the artistry of this soft stone, which is exclusively found in Turkey's Eskisehir province.

It’s a very beautiful park. There swans and ducks, fish in the artificial beach. The park is super clean with amazing play areas for little children. There are cafes and small restaurants. There’s a river on one side. I didn’t try the toilets but I am assuming it would be okay since the park was glowing! If you are in Eskişehir, you must put this park on your list of places to visit.

One of the fantabulous parks in Eskisehir to spend summer leisure time. It has lakes, walking ground, horse, few restaurants. In the lake, one can go for fishing with permission from the park authority. Likewise many other parks in Turkey, it doesn’t have any ticketing system. Anyone can enter into and stay until closing of the park.

An excellent recreational park well suited to the need of people of all ages; children's park/playing ground, nice lawns at the river bank, walking/trotting lanes, sport/exercise arenas, restaurants and cafes, and public toilets. The love for statues in Eskisehir is also very evident in the park complex. My attention was particularly drawn to the symbol of Turkey-South Korea friendship and a Chinese art exhibition. The park complex is a must-see for anyone visiting Eskişehir and is located within short walking distance, about 3 minutes away from the Eskişehir Bus terminal.

I couldnt find anything historical at this place even though i walked for 45 mnts and about 2.5km to reach it just to find old houses demolished and restored for the way they are now, public restrooms are a total mess with very stinky urine smell all over the place, you could take cool beautiful pictures of the streets and houses sure but thats it honestly absolutly nothing hostorical to see or do, not worth the hype if you ask me

An amazing place. It should be one of your first destinations when you visit Eskişehir. I fell in love with the streets, old and colorful houses, shops, cafés...etc. everything is stunning.

When the sun sets over the Odunpazari, the place becomes more sexy. As you see in the photo above, Odunpazari is full of colorful houses. It has Museum, cafes, restaurants and markets in its premises. To go to Odunpazari, take bus from any station and get down at Odunpazari station. You can also travel by tram. By tram, get down at Ataturk Lisesi then walk towards right side for 100 meters. Then you will see Odunpazari colorful old houses. In Odunpazar you can buy popular Meerschaum Pipe with cheap price. This area is free of charge + Inside the museum you can see complety the project "Devrim" from day 1 with some parts of the car. It is aimed to introduce TÜRASAŞ and to adopt and love the railways by future generations in Eskişehir, which is known as a railway city with materials that tell both the past and the present. There are various objects reflecting the history of TÜRASAŞ and the Railway in the area, which consists of two parts, open and closed. Revolution Car, Mehmetçik Steam Locomotive, 2200 type Steam Locomotive, 24000 type Locomotive mechanic's cabin and more, which is the first domestic vehicle of Turkey and produced by Turkish engineers and workers at TÜRASAŞ Eskişehir facilities in 1961, are exhibited at TÜRASAŞ Eskişehir campus as part of the museum collection. .

The first made-in-Turkey car, was a great success and an excellent stride made by turkish engineers and authorities. It was a project spearheaded by the turkish agency known as TULOMSAS. The car has since been on display in the city of Eskisehir, Turkey and is an important source of attraction for local and foreign tourists alike. Manufacture of the car has since been termed as a revolution in the historial pages of Turkey.

Esminyatürk is a fascinating attraction featuring high-quality architectural models of Seljuk, Ottoman, and other Turkish civilizations. Located in a park, this miniature Turkey showcases replicas of buildings from various historical places on a 1/25 scale. Visitors can admire the intricate designs and artistry while learning about Turkish history. While entry fees are affordable, it's recommended for families and kids to explore this miniaturized version of Turkey's iconic landmarks.
This place has mini-monuments of architecture from the Ottoman, Persian, and Mughal empires. One can buy tickets at the entrance. Once in, the place is organized with walking paths. All monuments are outdoor. There is an explanation for each building. Compared to the one in Istanbul, this is extremely small. Expect to spend around 30 minutes.

Very detailed, high quality miniatures. I enjoyed learning about the Ottoman architecture of the various areas. I believe people can relate to many of the stories they hear or experience while walking through here.

It’s always amazing to see the beautiful architecture from different countries in the same place but it’s smaller than Minaturk Istanbul Tickets fees: 20 for adults, 5 for students and free for kids up to 6

Really interesting mini museum of different architectural buildings mostly from Ottomans. Unfortunately it is not friendly for non-Turkish speakers, because there is no English translation available for the monuments description, but it's worth a small walk.

Kurşunlu Cami ve Külliyesi, also known as the Kursunlu Religious Complex, is a fascinating site located in the Odunpazari neighborhood of Eskisehir. Constructed between 1517 and 1525 by Coban Mustafa Pasa, a prominent vizier of the Ottoman Empire, this complex comprises a mosque along with various other structures such as a kitchen and caravanserai.
An interesting complex of early Ottoman buildings, well preserved and maintained now as a mix of shops and venue to see. What is now called the library building next to the impressive main mosque is on a slightly different alignment and hint at being an earlier Byzantine church building. This is supported by the individual re-used possibly Roman column and cap stones supporting the entrance dome. The whole complex is possibly the best tourist site to visit in Eskişehir.

The Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Zoo, situated within the sprawling Sazova Park, boasts of beautifully landscaped grounds with numerous ponds and diverse animal and bird species. The zoo is well-maintained with spacious habitats for the animals to feel comfortable in, devoid of any unpleasant odors. It's an ideal destination for both kids and adults alike at reasonable entry fees. During summer, visitors can spot the animals resting under trees or in shady areas to beat the heat.
A fine zoo inside the Sazova park that has a number of animals, birds, and reptiles. Inside this complex is the Japanese Garden, an Aquarium, a Reptile Section, and a cafeteria. While the zoo has a fee to enter, the aquarium has an additional fee to visit. All other activities inside the zoo are included in the entrance fee. Worth spending half a day here.

It is an interesting and relatively small sized museum for typewriter enthusiasts for a very small cost. Since I am not into typewriters, I can't talk much about them. Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Fantastical Castle, also known as Masal Satosu, is a whimsical destination that enchants visitors of all ages. This fairytale castle stands as one of the city's most iconic landmarks, designed with children in mind but equally captivating for adults. The vibrant structure features stunning white and blue hues and is surrounded by lush landscapes within Sazova Park.
Had a great time by exploring various parks. This place provides lots of options to spend time with family and friends. Besides fantasy castle, we also explored the ship, miniature park, and science history hall. Definitely, at least two-three hours needed to fully enjoy here. Very accessible and kids friendly.
Y B — Google review
The main highlight in Eskisehir. People come from everywhere to visit the castle or the what called Cinderella Castle. Went on weekend where other cultural activities for children were taking place, so the place was packed. Long entry queue but moved fast. The castle is a unique structure with its amazing white and blue color but nothing much to do inside. Souvenir shops, cafes, few sculptures and drawings on the walls. Decorated stairs to the first floor so you can have a beautiful view to the park and the lake. That's it. Other stairs leads you to exit the castle. Hardly 30 minutes is more than enough. More good for kids and photographers.

Masal Şatosu, or the Fairy Tale Castle, is one of the most recognizable landmarks of Eskişehir. If you're in this city, you definitely shouldn't miss this place, as it truly feels like something out of a fairy tale. The towers it’s built from are symbols of important towers that Turkey is known for, including Kız Kulesi, Galata Tower, Ulu Kule, and other towers from Turkish cities that represent the country. It's located in the large Sazova Park, right across from the stadium in Eskişehir. It's an absolutely beautiful place worth visiting, perfect for taking some amazing photos.

I visited with my family on the third day of the Eid Al-Adha holiday. The place looks very beautiful from the outside, but inside it’s quite ordinary. We had to wait around 30 to 60 minutes just to buy tickets and get information, because there was only one cabin serving everyone. Many areas inside were closed, and there were no guides available to explain or provide any information. While the decorations inspired by famous fairy tales were nice, the overall experience didn’t live up to expectations. I uploaded video of how crowded it was
Mohammad Z — Google review
It’s a very nice castle like the ones you see in Disney movies. It’s huge and beautiful. Also the place around it is very nice with lots of trees all around and a small lake. People also come to take nice photos in front of the castle.

My recent visit to Eskişehir offered a refreshing perspective on Turkish culture and urban development. The city is well-organized, rich in history, and surprisingly modern. I was particularly impressed by the cultural preservation in Odunpazarı and the calm, scenic atmosphere along the Porsuk River. The blend of tradition and contemporary living was inspiring.

It's a miniature park which is having the small examples of the monuments built by the Turkic ethnic rulers. It is a place with rich history. This place has many small exampled monuments from all over the world such as Taj Mahal, Tomb Of Hemayun in India. And many other monuments from Uzbekistan, Medina, Macedonia, Erzurum etc.

A great place to visit in Eskişehir. There are a lot of attractions to see, like museums and science müzesi etc. There is also a castle like Disneyland. The also have a ship to give a feeling of a pirate ship. It is a good place for photography and it is also kids friendly. There is a lot of space for family picnic. And a lot of attractions for kids too. You can also do the boating in the lake. There are tickets to get into the museums, boat and Disneyland. There is also a train for kids and adults to get you a trip of park. There are also little shops and cafes for food inside the park. Overall it is a great place to visit with friends and family.

We almost spent our whole day here. Miniaturk is an astounding place which includes miniature versions of important historical and artistic buildings. Science park which was opened by Anadolu University takes you to a historical journey with waxworks of important historical people. Also the zoo, sea park and the sazova park is worth seeing. Don’t waste your money on Dream Castle or other photographical locations because there is nothing inside them. You can take pictures outside too.

My experience in this place was perfect, first i visited all the places of the Islamic scholars, such as İbn sina, ibnu alhaithem, al fergani, Rumi, Jabir ibnu Hayyan... and had the chance to see their books and the tools that they were using in their jobs, then i visited the music musuem where i saw new instruments i have never seen before, thanks to the municipality of eskisehir which is taking good care of these kind of places so that people can come and see the beauty of the history and learn about it.

Alaeddin Mosque - Eskisehir Eskişehir is located within the borders of Odunpazarı District. During the Anatolian Seljuk State Period, in 1267 III. It was built during the time of Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev. After 1267, changes were made on the mosque, and it lost its Seljuk architectural characteristics with restorations. Visitors can explore information boards and writings on the walls that provide insights into Behic Erkin's life. The museum offers ample opportunities for photography and also houses a small retail store and cafe.
One of the wonderful page in the history of Turkish industrial and engineering revolutions. The architect of such a wonderful work is TULOMSAS. The manufacture of the first made-in-Turkey car, industrial revolution of the railway systems in Turkey, etc are some examples of their works. these works have since been on display in the city of Eskisehir, Turkey and is an important source of attraction for local and foreign tourists alike.

(Translated by Google) In one word, it is a wonderful place❤️They were still as attentive as they were when I went with my son 8 years ago and my son who was 4 years old that day and had so much fun, had so much fun again today at 12 years old and had a great time with his 4 year old brother. As parents, we had a wonderful rest in the garden. If you are wondering where to go with your children today, the address is of course GAME HUNTERS🌸🙏 (Original) Tek kelimeyle harika bi yer❤️8 yıl önce oğlumla gittiğimizda nasıl ilgililerse hâlâ öyleydiler ve o gün 4 yaşında olup çok eğlenen oğlum bugün 12 yaşında yine çok eğlendi hemde 4 yaşındaki kardesiyle cok guzel vakit gecirdi.Bizde anne baba olarak mis gibi bahcesinde dinlendik.Eger cocuklarınızla bugun nereye gitsek diyorsanız adres belli tabi ki OYUN AVCILARI🌸🙏
