Zaza City Hamamatsu is a perennial urban mall that offers a variety of amenities. It houses clothing stores, beauty salons, and a food court, along with a supermarket and cinema. This large underground mall features numerous shops, including supermarkets and a 100 yen shop where products are available at cheaper prices compared to other stores. Adjacent to the supermarket is the Wats 100 yen shop. Zaza City Hamamatsu is known for its delicious food options and excellent quality.
A place full of new things, I loved the comic con shop, and the Toho cinema, and also the games and attractions inside, good restaurants and places to spend a pleasant time.

Super mall with many food courts. Comicon store is here in the first floor. Difficult to find free parking. Crowded on weekends.

Currently not at its prime... it used to have almost everything you would like to buy but still worth a visit if you are in Hamamatsu or want to buy basic groceries 😉
Nishant C — Google review
Several restaurants and a gym in one building, amusements and cinemas in another, not a lot of retail.

Zaza city is near Hamamatsu Eki and it’s a complex with various stores for clothing , shoes , groceries, food court , Toho cinemas , gaming area, household items and many more. You can find there the famous Italian restaurant Vansan and a Starbucks too. The washroom are well maintained and clean. On the 1st floor near the entry gate there is a reception/ information counter and they are very helpful if you need to ask something.
M S — Google review
Really only stopped here to have coffee, so I can't say much for the rest of the mall. But if it's anything like every other Mall in Japan, there are dozens of stores with very friendly staff waiting to greet you and sell you anything they can. The coffee shop was amazing, the tea was hot and the desserts were wonderful

The Hamamatsu Act Tower hotel is a prominent 45-story landmark in the city, offering various attractions and amenities. Inside the tower, visitors can find meeting areas, a concert hall, exhibition spaces, and the Hamamatsu Museum of Musical Instruments. The museum showcases over 850 exhibits including exquisite 19th century European pianos and horns.
The Observation deck offers a breathtaking view of the city of Hamamatsu and Pacific Ocean. You can see the speeding Shinkansen at the bottom.

Well if you are in Hamamatsu you will not need this review.. the building by itself provides the review.. Standing so tall that in middle of the city.. Go any corner of city and if you are lost and want to know a way back to city just look for this building which is visible from any corner.. Also there is a floor just for viewing on 45th floor for 500 yen . .. Can get a full Hamamatsu city view , need not go anywhere for spotting!! Please try to take the lift with complete external view as there 2 lifts one completely closed and other providing complete view.. Check and then enter..

Room smells like cigarettes. Ancient music player in the bedroom. View is great. Bed is okay. Pool is 2000 yen to use. A 5 star hotel where you pay even more to use the pool. The buffet on the second floor has no vegetarian or vegan options. They did make me a pasta. But didn't have any sauces that we're vegetarian. So they made it with butter. They tried. But overall unreal we spent this much for this.
Chris — Google review
Even though I only stay here for one night, I can already feel the five star service as the workers who work here are so polite. They do things politely, speak politely. And most importantly no need to worry if you are hungry late night. You can go to their family Mart , downstairs. 24hr to get some cup noodles. Or some drinks . And they have free strong WiFi for guest. Keep it up, looking forward for more. Peace out. 😀🤟

The breakfast is good and the location is good.

Still very quiet a week after the country opened to tourists in the 2nd week of October. Still, most of the people there were wearing a mask. The department store annexed to the Hamamatsu Station had pretty good traffic, particularly in the food sections. While many Tokyo area department stores include hefty display of haute couture type clothes (that looked like just jumped out of Paris or Milan stages!), the department stores in Hamamatsu have a tad more "normal and fashionable" clothes, when I just walked by there. If I had more time, I would have shopped around there.

Ishimatsu Gyoza Hamamatsu Station 石松 JR浜松駅店 is a casual restaurant located inside the bustling transit hub of Hamamatsu. Established in 1953, this specialty gyoza shop has a rich history and is renowned for its legendary success. The gyoza here are described as crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, filled with generous amounts of cabbage and meat.
We ordered their gyoza special with 20 pieces and their gyoza chahan teishoku with 10 pieces. I love that the flavor was very delicate and there was no strong pork flavor in the gyozas in comparison with normal gyozas. The place is often crowded, we had to wait for a little bit but the service was very fast!
Sera — Google review
This place was on the guide map that I received at the tourist information center at the Hamamatsu station. I ordered Hamamatsu gyoza set menu with 10 pieces of gyoza, which costed 980 Japanese yen. The set comes with rice, miso soup and pickles. The gyoza was good but I didn’t understand why try set didn’t come with chahan rice?! Why white rice?
Sandy J — Google review
Excellent gyoza restaurant inside the station building. 10 pieces combo (original + meat) for only 860 yen. Good with a glass of cold beer.
Ozam N — Google review
There is a long queue during lunch time but it's worth it. One of the best gyōza I've ever had.
Kiseki M — Google review
Plain and only has 3-4 menu items but I liked that. Great flavors and food came out fresh and fast
Kayla L — Google review
Delicious gyoza - very light and fresh. The set meals come with miso soup, rice and pickles. Goes great with a Sapporo or a highball while you’re waiting for your train. No line at all 5 pm on a Friday.
Eric C — Google review

Theme park
Nukumori No Mori is a charming village-themed attraction nestled in a forest, featuring whimsical stone cottages that house various shops and cafes. Founded by an architect about twenty years ago, this quaint little village exudes a fairytale-like ambiance with its quirky architectural style reminiscent of Ghibli films. The space offers a quiet and mysterious atmosphere akin to a small fairyland in medieval Europe.
Definitely worth a visit! I stopped by here for a few hours on my way back to Tokyo (from Kyoto). I love the whimsical vibes. To me, it's a cross between Hobbitton and Ghibli. Lots of cute cafes and a couple restaurants. And many small shops selling handmade goods. Bring cash! Entrance tickets are cash or PayPay only. Some shops are cash only.
JO J — Google review
This small town is very beautiful and charming. It is a very pleasant place to walk around and take pictures. The architectural detail is incredible. It also has a place with owls and other animals to interact with. There are great restaurants, including a very good Italian one with delicious pizza. The parking lot is not far away and is very large. During the weekends it is a little crowded, so it may take a while for the restaurants to have tables available. The park also has shops with handicrafts.
Claudia M — Google review
Hidden gems in Hamamatsu ! Definetely worth a visit ! It's so aesthetically ghibli vibes. You can enjoy the little town of ghibli that filled with many cute store , restaurant and stall. it's so relaxing. Recommended to come on weekdays.
Yurisa — Google review
It’s a cute little place ! Very scenic ❤️. It will take you 3-4 hours to cover all the parts of this place including dining time. This place also has amazing desserts cafe and many souvenir shops.
M S — Google review
A little different from what I expected looking at the pictures. Mostly a collection of small stores selling hand made things and food stores. If you are into the above you will probably have a good time, but otherwise you might as well skip this in your trip, considering the time and cost factor.
Marvin B — Google review
It’s quite small but very beautiful and it was fun taking pictures and going to the café. They also had a nice lunch menu so I think it would be a good idea to have lunch here as well. I’m not really sure how the public transportation is because I took my car but I don’t think it’s that great so it might be a little bit difficult to access without a car. I saw a tour company with a lot of tourists as well so maybe that’s way to go there as well. The entrance fee was ¥500 per adult and there were a few shops inside the area. There was also a place where you could play with animals like owls but would cost additional money. Overall I really enjoyed it and I would like to go back to try the other cheesecake and pastries that they have.
Lisa Y — Google review
Awesome place to visit. According to my wife this little theme area was made by one person. Regardless whether it is true or not, it’s a unique place to visit. I felt like I was l living in an anime. It had a Totoro feel to the place.
P C — Google review
Its a small but quaint place near the hamamatsu flower park. The small, picturesque houses or cottages are either souvenir shop or a cafe. We also ate on the cafe that specializes on cheesecake ( Yumm..) If you like to take pictures of cute stuff, you will enjoy it here. If you are foreigner who DOES NOT speak Japanese, you may opt to pass the galleria ticket. It basically explains that the 1st house was refurbished to be cafe and some history of the place. Me and my sister liked it here so 5 stars.

Sort of big and they got some shops opened in the end of last month. The shopping areas are quiet except for the food court and the aeon selling area in the holidays.
河邊高志 — Google review
You'll see nice shops inside the mall, both local and international brands. There's nothing much to do. The structure of the building is kind of hard to familiarize with so be sure to check every corner. There's a ¥100 shop on the third floor, right in front of Uniqlo. Free wifi inside the mall and near Starbucks.

Big mall with many shops of moderate value products that suit most people's lifestyle. Travel back to Hamamatsu station by bus is free on purchase of 2000JPY per person. Visit information desk. Many shops are cross brand which helps make good choice. Many places where kids can play... Free and paid. Three floors of eating joints... Have fun there...

An Excellent Stay with Stunning Views I had a wonderful experience at Okura Act City Hotel Hamamatsu. The location is incredibly convenient—right next to Hamamatsu Station, which made traveling around super easy. The room was spacious, clean, and offered a breathtaking view of the city and Mount Fuji on a clear day. The staff were warm, courteous, and always ready to help, even with limited English. I appreciated the attention to detail and the calm, upscale atmosphere throughout the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, with a good mix of Japanese and Western options. If you're visiting Hamamatsu, whether for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, convenience, and hospitality. Would definitely stay again!
SEALAND — Google review
They don't want people using the observation floor, lol. It's almost impossible to find. Despite many signs and maps around, none of them mention the observation floor (I can also read Japanese). So I went to the info desk, but no one was there! Lastly, I checked their website, and it mentions every feature of the place EXCEPT the observation floor! It seems like they just want it to be a hidden amenity for hotel guests and don't want tourists overcrowding it and the elevators. The other reviews say they even rose the price from 500 yen to 1,000 for non-hotel guests! The building itself is nice with a few public outdoor spaces.

I visited this place recently and really enjoyed exploring the variety of items beautiful jewelry, different watch brands, and even some impressive camping gear. It was a nice spot overall. But as a foreigner, I had a disappointing experience at one particular watch brand’s store. While browsing, one of the staff members stared at us in a way that made us feel unwelcome, almost as if we weren’t supposed to be there. It felt like discrimination. We were just looking, not causing any trouble, and definitely not there to steal anything. But the way he looked at us—like we didn’t belong was hurtful and uncalled for. No one should be made to feel like that, especially in a place that’s open to the public. Everyone deserves respect, regardless of how they look or what they’re wearing. The brand OF watch is in Initial of TH Don't go there if you don't wear a nice suit.

Whether you're looking for the latest trends, everyday essentials, or unique gifts, the variety is impressive and caters to every need. Dining options are equally plentiful. The comfortable seating and state-of-the-art sound and visuals make it a fantastic place to catch a movie. What truly elevates the experience at AEON MALL Hamamatsu Ichino is the overall atmosphere. A standout feature is how exceptionally well-kept and pleasant the environment is. The place was clean, from the wide, bright corridors to the food court and restrooms. Starbucks Coffee - Hamamatsu Castle Park is a popular spot among locals and tourists, known for its beautiful and spacious setting nestled in greenery. The glass enclosure offers a cozy atmosphere with views of the park where kids and dogs play. Despite superb service, visitors should be aware of long queues. Additionally, recent updates include changes to the parking lot entrance and it now being paid.
This Starbucks is beautiful. Nestled in greenery, and close to Hamamatsu Castle, it's popular with locals and tourists. The glass enclosure overlooks a park where kids and dogs play. Staff can speak a bit of English and are helpful. Long queues though so be warned.

A quiet feeling in my own garden. The drinks are delicious and the staff are friendly. A place you want to visit again next time.

This is the best Starbucks I’ve been to in Japan. It blends into the park perfectly and has an amazing view of the castle. Out the back, there is a deck that incorporates the trees and overlooks a beautiful little maple tree-lined Japanese-style pond. There are even places to att arch your dog leads in the front so dog-owners can enjoy a break as well.
Darryl M — Google review
My favorite Starbucks so far!! Beautiful, spacious, cozy. Superb service!! It felt like being in the middle of the nature but still protected from the rain. My only problem was getting there. The parking lot entrance was confusing and I missed it once and got in the wrong entrance the second time, until I finally found it 😅😅😅 [UPDATE] Parking lot is now paid and they changed the entrance and exit.
Patty H — Google review
As a Starbucks located near Hamamatsu Castle, of course its architecture has a Japanese touch to it. unlike your everyday Starbucks cafe, this one is a place where you can relax and enjoy the view of the castle from in or outside the building. There are leash holders where you can leave your pup while you get your cup of coffee and the staff are very friendly. Because it ain't Tokyo, you'd expect them to jump on the sight of a foreigner but their English was surprisingly good. 👍 We had a very nice afternoon tea time. ☕

(Translated by Google) I've been there several times for the morning Mister Donut drink set, available until 11am. My go-tos are the Pon de Ring and blended coffee, but they're a bargain. If you want a refill, go to the side of the register and they'll pour it for you, and sometimes a staff member will bring you a pot. I think it would be easier for mothers with small children to use if they had chairs for small children. It's open, but there are partitions between them so that you don't have to worry about people walking around when you're sitting down. I wonder why it gets so crowded and the lines are so long sometimes?

Nestled conveniently outside a bustling mall, Mos Burger stands out as a delightful dining option alongside Starbucks. This charming eatery is known for its delicious offerings, particularly the Teriyaki burger, which has garnered quite a following. Guests appreciate the transparency of watching their meals being prepared right before their eyes. While the restaurant may be on the smaller side and can experience some wait times during busy hours, many patrons find that the quality of food justifies any delays.

(Translated by Google) The customer service at this restaurant is courteous and you can enjoy your meal in a comfortable manner. A nice and helpful feature is that it comes with a spoon so you can scoop up the meat sauce without wasting it. It's in the same building as Jumbo Encho, so there's no problem with parking, but it's a shame that it's a small store so there aren't many seats. Edit: I feel like the level of customer service has gone down compared to before.

Bad points: It still takes time to make. The store is not very large. Overall review: Recently, Mos Burger itself has become delicious, and I think it's worth eating even if the price has increased. TSUTAYA Sanarudaiten is a popular spot located near an AEON sign, just a 3-minute walk from the bus stop. The store offers a wide selection of books, CDs, and DVDs. While some find the prices slightly higher than other bookstores, it's still considered a great choice for spending a peaceful weekend.

(Translated by Google) The clerk at the card station was bad. When I took my card to the register, they increased the selling price on the spot. I changed the price the day before, but they told me it was only on my computer. After that, I collected all the cards in the space where that card was placed. It's 3 rows long. This place opens from 13:00 on weekdays, and when I went, it was usually from 13:30 to 14:00. It makes sense that I still have work left over from the previous day, and it's still not bad to carry work from the previous day into the next day. I'm so busy that there are some things I just can't do on that day. I thought the problem was that they brought it in the next day and didn't do anything with it. It's bad that they don't do anything visibly and don't let people know that they're going to temporarily withdraw or change things. I also felt that the staff's attitude was visibly bad. If we were just collecting cards, we did it right in front of our eyes in a minute or two, so if we can do it in that time, shouldn't we do it from the beginning? All we had were typical employees who couldn't manage their tasks. The handover work is not done in this way either. I thought we should hire more qualified personnel or provide training. Decent enough mall attached to JR Hamamatsu Station 👌 Seeing as the station itself is quite small, you can expect that the mall wouldn't offer a wide array of shops. (Luckily, adjacent is the more posh Entetsu Mall) Convenient shops can be found in the mall. Goint to the south entrance there's a Bookstore, McDonald's, Tully's, Kyorindo Drugstore and a Shoppe that sells accessories, snood, bag etc. 👌 Just upon exiting the Central exit on both Tokaido Line and Tokaido-Sanyo shinkansen line there will be Starbucks, Delifrance (bakery), Dotour and the typical Omiyage (souvenir) stores. The mall also has a supermarket (Seijo Ishii) at the 1st floor basement next to a Kyorindo (yup, another drugstore) that offers a variety of international food items (tea, chocolate, cookies, chips etc)

Sun Street Hamakita is a neighborhood retail complex that features a food court, children's play area, cinema, and a 24/7 supermarket. This shopping mall in Japan offers the typical shopping experience with an emphasis on clothing stores. However, it may not be as enjoyable for male companions who are accompanying their partners due to limited comfortable seating options in the hallways. The availability of free and easily accessible WiFi is highly recommended for visitors.

Rhose R — Google review
Sun Street is your standard shopping mall experience in Japan. Dominated by clothing stores, it can be a bit of a drag for we men who get dragged out to do shopping. They may want to consider putting more comfortable seating in the hallways for husbands who are stuck shopping for a day, like they do in North America. Having free and easily accessible WiFi is also a high recommend. Restaurants are ok. There are better ones outside the mall in my opinion
J B — Google review
For those wondering why on earth there are two malls so close to one another in such a residential area, the story is that this mall opened in 2007 and then Plaha Walk which is right down the street expanded to triple the size of this mall a few years later. The best quality mall stores soon followed, meaning there are now mostly only low-end stores here which seem to close on a regular basis only to be replaced by another similar store that does not do all that well. However, the mall does have a Seiyu (Japanese Wal-Mart open 24h, one of the only 24h stores in this area), movie theatre, onsen, and game center which are all very nice and worth visiting if you have such interests.
