We visited this fantastic spot for a delightful evening snack and some refreshing beer on our bachelor trip. Oh, we absolutely adore this place! The variety of beers they offered was truly impressive, along with the icy drinks and food trucks. The beer was exceptional, thanks to the vast selection available. Don't miss out on trying the beer flight as well! It's truly a wonderful spot to hang out with friends and family. The outdoor seating is a real treat, perfect for enjoying sunny or rainy days. The shaded area offers a lovely view of downtown Bryson City, making it an ideal spot to relax and unwind.

This place was on the top of my list to check out in Bryson City. It did not disappoint. Picked up some great shirts, had a couple of beers, and took a 6-pack to go. Staff was super nice.

Ben has a great store here. We drove from Cary, N.C. before going home to Philo, IL. so we could purchase one of my favorite YouTube groups we watch all the time, Perkins Builder Brothers, Eric and Jamie have started an apparel line with T-shirts, hats, candles, cups, stickers and other merchandise. Although I didn't get my wish for one of the gang to walk in the store, we were able to tell Ben that my cousin use to live in Bryson City and was able to watch Eric and Jamie grow up when they were young, she said they use to run around crazy. She also lived in a house that Arlo use to live in. Ben, thank you again for chatting with us and for photo.

This is a good store, especially if you’re 𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵-𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗿. All the supplies are there and reasonably priced. Staff is super knowledgeable and very hip. Don’t forget to stop and have a beer. 🍺

I very rarely handout five stars but this place was pretty cool. Located right next to the Cherokee visitor center which is very convenient as you can stop in both places at one time. I had met Jeremy the trail boss at fire Mountain mountain bike trails and he told me about this place. Said I could get food at the food truck and a nice cold beverage and a beer inside as well as bicycle gear and other outfitting accoutrements. This place is also dog friendly so bring your pup in with you. A nice patio out behind the shop that overlooks the River. So head out here with your beer and your Chow and enjoy the view. And if you got really hot for mountain biking there's a little trail that will take you right into the river we can cool off and invigorate yourself. Also right across the street is the veterans Park which was really cool. Some old artillery guns as well as a tank. So go visit Bryson City outdoors it is well worth it.

An excellent art gallery in a wonderful town. My wife and I have been in numerous times to purchase local artists paintings including a trip on our honeymoon which makes it an extra special stop for us. I can't wait to check back in again sometime soon. The owners are sweet and the art is lovely. I would definitley recommend a visit.

Gallery Zella in Bryson City, North Carolina, is a true gem. The owners, Zella and Brian, have created a wonderful space that celebrates the beauty of the mountains. During a recent visit, we purchased a stunning photograph taken by Brian while he was hiking with Zella in the mountains. This piece now proudly hangs in our primary suite, bringing a touch of nature's serenity into our home. My children, husband, and I had a great time visiting Gallery Zella! The art was breathtaking! And, one of the owners was there and gave us a nice tour of the gallery and was teaching my children about how some art there was created. We had a fantastic experience!

I was looking for a Gallery to purchase a picture of the Smokey mountains to hang in my home. I love to purchase pictures of places I have visited, I visited Gallery Zella today and was blown away from all the wonderful talented artists. It was hard to make a choice, so many to choose from, so many beautiful artworks, I purchased three pieces. I highly recommend everyone to visit this gallery. Prices are fabulous, you won't be disappointed.

A pretty unique store with everything from t-shirts to garden statues. The employees were really busy trying to remove Christmas items as it was the day after Christmas. No after Christmas sale here! I found a neat garden chime I purchased but don’t forget to ask for your military discount before you check out.

Decent place to stop at when on vacation. Super friendly employees. However, it is a tourist shop so be ready for 95% of it to be overly priced made in China products. They try to hide most of those stickers with their shop prices but you can peel them back and see it. I expected this when going in, so I didn't mind spending some money cause I will probably never get a chance to be back in the area.

I truly enjoy the loose moose in Bryson city North Carolina. I can spend hours in the store. They have awesome choices of T-shirts Decorations and gifts I do wish they had an online store or at least a telephone number where you could call and place orders because I cannot get up there as often as I’d like

I would give a very big zero but it wouldn’t allow me to. I normally don’t write negative reviews, but I feel this experience needs to be shared. I had my disabled, elderly mom with me in downtown Bryson City today when she had an accident. I went into Loose Moose and even bought her a pair of pants from the store, then asked if she could use their restroom to change. They still refused to allow her access, even though she is a local resident and clearly needed help. I was shocked and disappointed by the lack of compassion or basic kindness shown to her in such a vulnerable situation. WOW is all I can say.

I went to all the souvenir shops and looked at all the tshirts and this one has the biggest and best selection in all of downtown Bryson city.

The Jellycat sent over was packed directly in the courier bag without any protective packaging bag. This happened twice in a row. The shopping experience was really bad.

I scream I went from one extreme to another. Started with a plain waffle cone filled with and excellent Black Cherry Icecream Topped with a Magical Toasted Coconut.. Down side is it's gonna run you about $8 like any good Icecream.. It's worth it.

Classic stop-in spot if you’re walking through town. Milkshake hit the spot – rich and smooth without being over-the-top sweet. 🍫 The chocolate itself? Pretty average, especially if you’re coming in with high expectations. It’s a candy case you’ve seen a dozen times, but still fun to browse and grab a few treats for the road. Good energy inside, staff was nice, and the whole space feels like a working kitchen — love seeing the equipment and process. Definitely worth a few minutes if you’re already in town — and especially if you’re traveling with kids or sweet tooths.

What a great place to stop by to satisfy ones sweet tooth. The ice creams were creamy and refreshing, but not too soft to the point of melting in your hand perfect for a warm day. The dipped waffle cones were also top notch. If you're ever walking the strip of central Bryson and crave something sweet this is the place to go!

Gem of a place that makes you want to explore all the shelves and nooks for delightful surprises. The decor, the treats, the colors, the textures, etc all offer that magical old world quality that boosts your mood. In the end I just got the chocolate milkshake, which hit the spot on a hot summer day.

I love this place! I've visited a few times and the service is really great, chocolates are delicious and fresh, and there is so much variety. My favorites are turtle pretzel sticks, peanut butter fudge, chocolate cashew cluster, cinnamon sugar bark, and their AMAZING peanut butter cups. 10/10 - highly recommend!

My favorite place in Bryson City. They sell handmade authentic chocolate. The moonshine cherries were amazing. The chocolate pretzels, bark, buckeyes, truffles, clusters, and their ice cream is amazing. They even have Harry Potter candies from the books.

My kids have enjoyed the scavenger hunt two summers in a row. It can be challenging to get modern kids excited about a history museum but Swain County does an excellent job by making the exhibits interactive with their scavenger hunt and easy to self guide layout. Bonus-it’s free! Thanks for a relaxing way to sneak some education into a trip!

We would have never noticed this museum if it weren’t for the lady running the Hallmark store. I’m so glad we decided to check it out! There are so many fascinating items and photos on display along with detailed descriptions. It was the perfect place to get out of the heat for a bit while also learning about the history of the area. I especially liked the little log cabin that you “walk through“. And it was free! I wish I had taken some pictures to share. The museum is on the second floor, but there is an elevator if you are handicapped. The public bathroom in the ground floor visitors center is the cleanest public restrooms I’ve used in a long time. This is definitely a place to visit if you are in the area.

This is one of the nicest places to stop in Bryson City. The staff here are very sweet and have the best little scavenger hunt. The history of the museum is well displayed and thought out. I had kids ages 10-16 and even they enjoyed it. Great little gift shop too, with unique little gift items. Easy to access, and in the center of downtown. Love this place.

Truly a gem of Bryson City. Easy handicap ♿️ access and an elevator to the second floor. Downstairs is the welcome desk and gift shop. Any questions about our little town will be answered here by a very nice staff. My favorite is the upstairs. There you can learn all about the area and its past. Terrific genuine artifacts are on display here. So much to see and even touch. A small 'theater' gives you a guided tour with it's video. My favorite is the replica of the old cabin. With porch and rocking chairs. During the Christmas season they decorate the place. Sit in the rocking chair, the perfect picture for Facebook. Look around and you'll realize how much passion and love went into the decor. Step back into a time long gone. A place worth visiting.

Fun and informative place to learn about the history of Swain County, from lumber, rail roads, moonshine, and tourism. On the second floor and you can use the elevator. Free of charge. There are lots of antiques to support the history. I'm glad we spent the hour. Make sure you see the movie that explains the history of the area, the dam, and 1940 flood.

I have been to this shop before, but not in this new location. The booths are nicely laid out and I like the rustic boards they used. They have so many interesting things to look at. My only complaint is their policy requiring ladies to place their pocketbook in one of their lockers. I was not comfortable with that at all. I have never, in my life, been to a store with this policy.

Great antique mall with fair a wide variety of vendors and for the most part, fair prices.

Purchased a $20 record only to find out it was broken when I got home. I called about the situation and learned they do not offer refunds or exchanges for broken items. They clearly do not value the customer experience. I will not be returning

So bummed to have to leave this review. We really enjoyed looking at the items in this shop. They were so unique! The man who I presume owned the shop with his partner was helpful and took my items to the counter so I could continue looking around without having to carry them. However, when I went to check out, his partner rung me up and charged me $30 instead of $20 for the two items I’d picked out. She had also removed the price tags, so I couldn’t claim the price should have been different. I bought them anyways as $10 is not a huge deal, but it was a deceitful way to treat customers and generally left a sour taste in my mouth. I would not go back.

Found lots of great sheet music (a Dolly Parton songbook!) pictures, kitchen things, jewelry and knick knacks. Store is clean and easy to peruse. The owners are so lovely and chatty. Prices were great and it was a fun store with a great long history you can ask about.

I LOVE the women’s clothes in this store! They are gorgeous, unique, and well made. I looked for unusual, cool things all day yesterday in Asheville, but, it was only today, in Bryson City, that I found what I was looking for! This place is a gold mine!!!

This was the very first shop we went in during our first visit to Bryson City and these ladies made a fantastic first impression! The store itself has a large variety of clothing, home decor, and more.

What a great place for a plethora of local artistic wears and decorations! We bought several hanging beaded rainbow light catchers and love them every morning with the rising sun. We visit Macclanahan’s every year when we visit Bryson City. Definitely recommend for a visit to town!

Nice little shop in quaint little town. Ladies will enjoy the home interior decorations, some clothing and other wearable items, jewelry. Other shops within walking distance and lunch places as well. Recommend for a few hours of fun.

I understand people who smoke may not mind or even be able to smell it but I wouldn’t walk in there unless you enjoy thick second hand smoke and smelling like an ashtray. This is extremely aggravating and hope they make changes to accommodate all shoppers in the future.

I enjoyed looking through this shop, but when I tried asking the guy working behind the counter a question, he just mumbled and never looked up. Sadly I ended up not purchasing anything.

The old man working the shop is extremely rude. One, his dog tried to attack mine, so I snatched mine up. Guy comes over and chews me out telling me I need to take my dog outside because his dog is bread to tree animals. Realistically kept his dog from getting hurt by snatching mine up. Always looked forward going to this shop when in Bryson. No more!

This was our favorite shop in Bryson City! The shop has a very homey and authentic feeling when compared to many others on the same street. There were many cute and interesting things to purchase, nothing seemed to be very cheaply made or as a tourist money grab. The man behind the counter was quiet but very polite (which we preferred as we tend to dislike overly talkative sales people who are only trying to make a quick sale) and answered all the questions that we had. We even asked him some questions about the park that he didn’t know the answer to, but he looked it up and ran outside to tell us the answer to them! We will be back on our next visit!

We enjoyed shopping here during our short trip to Bryson City. We picked up a couple souvenirs (a few postcards and some wonderful candles). They had a great selection of honey, sauces, and mixes. We would stop in again.

Cool spot by the river. They lose a star because they hang their merch in poison ivy. That vine has been there for at least 7 years giving the inattentive vacationer a souvenir to remember.

We stopped in Smith's Dry Goods to find some boots for my husband while visiting the area. The owner is very friendly and had great stories of different celebrities who had visited in the past while looking for land. I enjoyed chatting with him, and my husband got a great pair of high-quality comfortable leather boots. Definitely check it out while you're visiting Bryson City!

We found some unique items we aren't able to find at home (in the Piedmont of NC). My husband bought some waffle-knit shirts in colors we don't see much. The staff was attentive and friendly.

Smith Dry Goods, like every locally owned business in Bryson City has EXCELLENT customer service. Wander in and browse a great selection of clothing, hat, coats, gloves, and boots. My wife found a terrific pair of boots snd I found the perfect jacket.

We had an incredible experience on a full-day fly fishing trip! We had a group of 7 guys split between 4 boats, and from start to finish, everything was top-notch. Dale has a great outfit with knowledgeable and patient guides. They put us on some fish all day long. Lunch was provided from a local sandwich shop which hit the spot. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend the day—great fishing, great company, and a well-organized trip. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get out on the water and enjoy a top-tier fly fishing experience!

Fly fishing is something we have wanted to do for a while now, so we booked a 1/2 day guide experience. Everything you need is provided by the guides. Mark and Shannon made our experience so worth it! We are novices and they were patient with us the entire time. They are so knowledgeable and have a passion for fly fishing and teaching others how to do it while enjoying it. We learned great beginners information and look forward to using it soon!

After losing my trusty, beloved fly box (full of flies) in the Tuckaseegee, I stopped here to do some restocking. They were super-friendly, helpful, and very patient! Dale Collins was working that day. Not only did he take his time to tell me how they had been catching fish in the days prior, I handed my TFO fly rod to him because it wasn't spooled or braking correctly. He figured out what the problem was, explained things to me and fixed the problem (I did help with a little of the repair, as best I could). 😏 I will be returning to Bryson City and Tackaseegee Fly Shop will always be a haunt when I'm there! Next time I'll get a guided trip or two from them too! (P.S. Two days later some campers we had met at the Grumpy Bear Campground went tubing with the sole intention of finding my lost fly box. I didn't know this until they surprised me with it after they found it!!)

Visiting Bryson City North Carolina in July and wanted to take my 82 year old Dad fishing. Contacted Tuckaseegee Fly shop and booked a 1/2 day trip. Wasn’t sure what to expect since myself nor my Dad had ever fly fished before. I cannot say enough about how accommodating and nice Anthony our guide was. He took us right to the trout. It was such a fun and relaxing day and we caught alot of trout. We will definitely be back next year! So glad I booked it. My Dad LOVED it as well. Anthony showed us how to fly fish and make it easy to learn for us Floridians lol. Thanks Anthony!!!! We made some great memories that we will always cherish! Amy Wiggins

Visited Bryson City 2 weekends ago for some fly fishing. Although it poured all weekend, Elijah gave us some good tips and suggested a particular black nymph and purple grub that ultimately landed us 5 brookies on the Nantahala lower, all within 2 hours of our departure from town.

My wife and I stopped in this location 3 times during the week for flies and supplies while fishing on our honeymoon. Each time we were met with friendly knowledgeable staff. They pointed us onto some great access points and we had great success. Thanks guys!

Staff was friendly, ice cream was great. Tried a sample of the salted caramel fudge and it tasted decent. The other treats we brought home were unfortunately bland, dry, and the birthday cake in particular was honestly disgusting and inedible. Heard the store is sadly closing down, but I can see why. The other fudge shop down the street is much better.

They serve Hershey's ice cream, shakes, coffee, treats and fresh made fudge. Almost all the treats are made in house and ALL the fudge IS made in house. Great place.

Wife and I stopped here a few years back to pick up some essentials. It was during vid and she was the only store open. Great little tackle shop with everything needed including advise. Forget those expensive fly shops in town, this place is where it's at. Trusty equipment and sound local advice for fishing, including good fishing holes. Ms. Ann is a guru of fishing. She should charge people a rate just for her amazing advice. So far, we are 3/3 with catching trout where she told us to go. And her shop is much more reasonable than those places in town. We will definitely be back.

We went to nearly all the bait shops in Bryson city and Ms. Simon had the best store. She had fly and spinning tackle. She told us great spots to fish and was very helpful. We went to one of her spots and came back the next morning to show her pictures of our fish. It’s a one stop shop. It’s also cash only.

Where do I start! This bait shop is so nice and quaint they have everything you need to fish including licenses, Mrs. Simond is the nicest lady she is so knowledgeable about fishing and even gave us some good fishing spots. We were in Bryson City 4/9-4/15 and fished everyday and caught everyday (trout). We can't wait to go back and visit Simonds bait shop!!!!

The lady that runs this is so knowledgeable and friendly. They have most anything you would need. You should stop and check it out if your going to go fishing.

The owner was so sweet and helpful, and I was very pleased to see that they had some plus size options! The prices were lower than I expected for a boutique and the shirt I got was even on sale! I will definitely make it a point to shop there again next time I'm in Bryson City.

I bought a sweatshirt from there a couple months ago and my niece loves it so much so I decided to get her one for Christmas in her size. It wasn’t on the website so I called and asked if I could order one over the phone and they actually took a pic of the sweatshirt in store and uploaded it to the website just so I could order it. The whole process took no longer than 5 minutes! I was so happy and very appreciative that I was able to order this for my niece for Christmas. Great store and wonderful customer service!!

I was visiting North Carolina and I was really looking for hand made items but I couldn’t find anything made from local Artisans. So, I walked into this cute boutique and was glad that I did. The young lady behind the counter greeted me as I walked in and she also answered a few questions that I had, super friendly. I purchased 2 outfits for my sister, although the shop’s clothes or items aren’t from North Carolina, I just had to have them. They have a nice selection of items. I almost didn’t take this 2pc outfit because I was looking for a Medium and I was just visiting so if it didn’t fit my sister I thought I’d be out of luck but she told me that if it didn’t fit that I I could contact them and return the item for store credit. So that made me feel better, if it doesn’t fit my sister I’m not stuck with the item I have the option of returning the item. Thank tou,

Bryson’s cutest little boutique with really great prices. You can tell the buyer takes great measures to find good pieces. Suitable for teens to grandmas in age range. It’s a refreshing store with minimal farmhouse feeling decor. Great mission, great store.

One of the best stores in Bryson City to get gifts for friends back home or for your own home. We’ve been coming here every year for 11 years to shop. It’s one of our go to places in downtown Bryson City. Ashley the Owner and artist is the best! Make sure you stop in and introduce yourself to her! Great energy, small town kindness.

Great local artist shop! My wife and I visited from out of town. Ashley was wonderful to talk to and hear her story. We bought a print of a beautiful bunny. If you’re in Bryson City, you must stop in and see her majestic art!

It was great to visit this art gallery and meet the artist! There was such a wide variety of artwork including landscapes, portraits, pop art, and more. What’s even cooler is that, once you visit, you end up seeing Ashley’s artwork around town and in various vacation rentals. We got some awesome gifts to take home!

Absolutely LOVE this store and everything Ashley and her husband are doing for Bryson City! (Her husband has a coffee shop with a gift store called Bryson Bakery a few doors down, featuring her paintings, including an awesome mural of Bryson City!) We loved chatting with Ashley and seeing her artwork, which is also available on Etsy. I’m so glad I put 2 stickers of her work on my laptop to remember my visit.

The owner of this cute shop is a very talented painter and she keeps a store/gallery that is certainly worth visiting if you happen to find yourself in Bryson City. She can be found in a paint covered apron, honing her craft behind the counter of One Twenty Main. As an artist, Ashley portrays her animal subjects close up in realistic detail on canvas. I found that, especially in her larger works, she demonstrates an uncanny ability to paint creatures in such a particular way that the subject of each painting almost seems alive without the piece being “hyper-realistic” in style. I found this added a high level of quality and authenticity to her work. I purchased one painting of a rooster that I particularly liked and it now lives on my kitchen wall.

What a special place Ashley (the artist) has created. My wife and I came to Bryson city for alittle R&R, but we wanted some local treasures and found this really awesome gallery and such. We were so impressed with what she did, we had to come back to buy more treasures.We are so happy to have met a truly gifted artist and a very nice person. So, if you happen to be around main street, downtown Bryson be sure to check out a cool gallery.

MRKT was a cool gift shop that is a sister-store to BCO. They had fun toys and gifts, as well as some additional shoes that their main store didn’t stock. I forgot my sandals at home and scored a new pair of Tevas. This store is connected to the bakery/coffee shop, which looked great!

This is a coffee shop and gift shop all rolled into one great package. We always like to end the day there. I can sit and enjoy my coffee while the family (ladies) spend time browsing the gifts. Sure, it costs me a little but so worth it.

We did a last minute trip on saturday. We were able to get 2 last minute tickets 20 minutes before it left. We were on the Royal Palm car. Our guide was Jacob. He was amazing. He told us so many facts about the area, and pointed out all kinds of cool things. I highly recommend this trip. Jacob made sure we were taken care of on our beverages and was fun to talk to.

We came to this area to watch 1702 under steam and after chasing the train for an hour or so down the line, we came back to go through the museum. Wow!! The layouts are incredible! The biggest O Scale layout we’ve ever seen! The pre-war room with all the vintage trains is one area not to miss!

Great little stop if you’re passing through! The train museum has an awesome collection of model trains on display and many of them are actually for sale. It’s the perfect pit stop to stretch your legs, browse, and take in some railroad history. The staff are friendly and clearly passionate about trains, making it a fun and unexpected find on the road!

Fun museum with loads of model trains! Admission is free if you have a ticket for the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad tour. Very nice gift shop, super nice employees. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy trains.

Listen. This place had better PR. You would be so busy prices would not have to be that high. It's the Smokey Mountain railroad. Why not have a mixture of natives utilized in the Soviet Empire? Their experience and surroundings should draw people in. Listen money is green and all cultures love a great train excursion. Make it a better experience please for the greater future of Smokey Mountain Railroad. Seriously do better 😒

The scenery was wonderful. The car surroundings brought a nice bit of realism to what train travels would have been like. The girl that worked in our car was great. She did well with what she had to work with. The gift shop was nice and had a wonderful selection. Overall, worth the time and money.

You get in free with a train ticket, this was such a fun surprise to me. They didnt hype up just how awesome it would be. Fun for adults and stuff for kids to do. I was amazed.

It’s absolutely dated. It’s not fancy or new or going to impress you with its looks. But. It hit the 10/10 with our Big 3 rating chart. It was clean. It had hot water. And the furniture/bed were solid. We need a place to shower and sleep and this hit the spot. Low cost, clean, and exactly what you expect for 1/3 to 1/5 what everyone around was charging

A horrible experience my family and I left a day early due to the state of this motel.(I have never done this before) I will start with the good it has a nice view and the room was cleanish. ( Old carpet and need to be painted ) Can't really clean that. The bad super small room, two double beds barely fit so no room to walk have to turn sideways to get to bathroom. No knob on bathroom door,Shower handles leak water everywhere,hard to adjust temperature. There is a community microwave none in room,super small tv that works when it wants to.The pool was ok no stairs but for some reason after we used they closed it at 6pm and didn't reopen before we left around 11am the next day. With having two small grandchildren decided to leave seems as if people use this motel as a home not much for a vacationer. It was a very disappointing experience. I hope this helps others to not book this motel.

I’ve stayed at motels for 24 yrs with my husband. We travel a lot. I think this was one of the top maybe 3 worse motels we have ever stayed at. The only nice thing was the pool. But even than it had no stairs and the ladder was not safe. But the room, it smelled, was very dirty feeling. VERY SMALL and very unkept. The tv did not work. wifi they said was down. The little window air conditioner didn’t work and it was so hot in there. 90’ out. When i called, when he said wifi was down, i said well maybe you should let customers know the wifi is down, so no wifi or tv before they check in. He said “ i’m the one that checked you in, and you said you and your husband was interested in the pool, LIKE I MEAN ID LIKE TO WATCH TV TOO! (LOL) Anyways, idk where these online pics came but here is the pics from my room that i paid $150 for …. I mean i wouldn’t have complained at all if we had paid $40 maybe $50 for, but $150! We won’t be back to this motel. Consider yourself warned, just don’t go. lol

Room was clean. Bed was a little more firm than I like. Bathroom was a little awkward as you had to step up into the bathroom. Had to let water run before showering as it was brown for the first minute or so. Disappointed that there was no fridge or microwave in the room. Good location.

I found this motel on a travel app. It is in a nice, quiet area with a good view. The room was nice enough. I will stay again.

Me and my husband stayed here one night with pets $30 for both small dogs good parts bed was comfortable fire tv so u can watch whatever u want. Bad parts first thing that happened when we got here shower head was broken and br kinda smells like mold then the main this that made me leave this review is there are roaches made me wanna cry I hate bugs especially roaches there disgusting long story short I will not be staying here again

This was probably one of if not the worst motel I have ever stayed in it was super small couldn't even get by the bed to the bathroom bathroom door had no handle and did not lock shower had super old handles and leaked like crazy when you took a shower all of the furniture looked like 30 years old TV did not work wasent very clean towels were paper thin no microwave in the room camp site near by with people that live at it I'm assuming and theu hang out at hotel pool had no stairs and super cold nasty carpet would not stay here again also the are there is barely anywhere to eat with no parking at the places there are

There was a great selection of just about everything in this store. But it's worth noting that they do not have any coolers that product is kept in and they also don't carry champagne. We also found some pretty cool bottles in the process of checking everything out.

The outside is a little sketchy, so much so that we almost left. But when we entered the room we were blown away. The room was so clean and had no smell. The bed was comfortable and the recliner was so comfortable. I will definitely recommend this motel. The view of the river is amazing and the deck was a nice little touch

Nice little spot right on the river. We stayed in one of the interior rooms—not river-facing—which was fine for us since we spent our days down at NOC on the water anyway. Room was clean, AC worked great, and while it didn’t get a ton of natural light, it was quiet and comfortable. My wife would’ve preferred a river-facing room (purely personal preference), but honestly, for the price and location, we were both happy. Grounds are well-kept, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and I liked that the ice and soda machines were tucked away from the rooms so you don’t hear them. There’s also a nice little sitting area by the river if you want to relax. Solid little motel—glad we stayed.

Checking out tomorrow after a great 3 night stay. When you get away from chain hotels, you always worry about what you may have booked. Had a great conversation with the owner. I will say this. Outside is a clean and well manicured version of a 50's roadside motel. Inside is a well kept, comfortable room with table and two chairs and a seperate loveseat recliner. Then you get to the deck behind your room just feet from the Tuskaceegee River. Incredible. Spent mornings and evenings there listening to the sound of the rapids just downstream from you. Plus, you are a couple of minutes from the grocery store and less than 10 minutes from the heart of town and the train station. Priced fair. Enjoy.

We made a same-day booking and called shortly after 9pm after we got out of the mountains — well within their posted office hours (open until 10pm)—to confirm if we could check in after hours. No one answered despite multiple calls. We left a voicemail, and instead of any apology, we were told next day they “couldn’t understand the message” and blamed us for not being clear enough. As they posted multiple, conflicting instructions, how were we supposed to know which rules to follow? When no one even bothered to pick up the phone or return a call for a simple explanation of the rules? And blaming customers for having bad reception in voicemail? We were left completely in the dark, unsure if we’d be able to check in at all. We booked here hoping to support a local business, but were met with poor communication, a lack of basic courtesy, and ZERO accountability. Extremely disappointing, and we would not recommend staying here.

Beautiful location, clean room. I typically do not post negative reviews. I recieved a mysterious additional $10 charge after checking out, which prompts me to write this after the previous interactions we experienced during our stay. Although the lady was kind on the phone and allowed us to check in late as we were arriving late, when I asked to extend later and informed her I would pay with cash after waking up ( I work nights locally and office was closed when I was up) she was incredibly rude, banging on the door screaming along with a small man in a security uniform. She informed me I had all weekend to properly check in (we were busy and I had already paid) and I was treated like a criminal. We were there for my sons bday (loves to fish) she questioned if he was supposed to be there while he was sitting on a bench and also my living arrangements when I was paying her the cash and told her I work locally. I have NEVER been treated so poorly at a hotel, this place may be great for older people, I would not recommend if you’re looking for southern hospitality or traveling with the family.

This place was a really great stop! Its right on the river in a beautiful setting, the rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. The office gal was really helpful! I would definitely stay here again.

We stopped here to get wine for my son’s wedding. It’s a cute place! They said they have wine flight tastings on the weekend. I am thinking we will try that next time we come to Bryson City. They were super helpful. We got 2 great bottles of red. Definitely coming here again!

An excellent experience!! The wine was amazing, the owners are extremely knowledgeable, and it is such a calming and enjoyable experience! Any and all wine needs should definitely be brought here! Stop in on the weekend and try out their wine flights, go in for a wonderful history lesson, and enjoy the atmosphere! 10/10 in all categories! We will be going back and hopefully using their services for our upcoming wedding!

We stopped in this weekend for a wine tasting and had a great experience. The owners run a very nice shop and are very knowledgeable. If you need a precise wine for your occasion, Bryson City Wine Market is the place.

We were met by Kirk & Candy with infectious personalities. The knowledge and incredible service was refreshing. The shop is filled with great local artists' crafts from paintings to quirky trinkets. This is a must stop!!!! Dog and Kid friendly.

We stopped in before our small wedding to pick up some wine for our reception. We had no idea what wines to purchase as we aren’t well versed in vino. The owners were so helpful and every wine we picked out was a hit with our guests. We are so glad we stopped by and hope to be able to again next time we are in town!

Kirk and Candy are amazing. We’re in from out of town, heard about the Wine Market and ran over before they closed. Got there at 5:30 and they closed at 6… they set us up with an amazing flight of wine, charcuterie board and a couple of great cigars. Amazing service and great stories about the wines they served us. I would give them 10 stars if I could 🙏🏼💪🏼🏆 Thank you Candy and Kirk!

The owners are always welcoming and friendly. They know their wines and can answer any questions you may have. I have been several times and they always greet you with a smile. The last time was with my girlfriends and we did a flight tasting. Highly recommend if you want to try a variety of wines.

We waded with Johnny and did a float trip with Dawson. Caught trout both days. Guides were on it and knowledgeable. Learned a lot and had a blast. I just found fly fishing and am not a pro by any means. They made it comfortable and fun. Great guides and neat shop to check out as well. Beautiful rivers to fish. I’ll definitely be back.

I just returned from the best float fishing trips I’ve ever taken. Our guide, Colton, knew the river and every great trout hole in it. He’s also totally versed on other fishing and the area in general. Super guy. I caught 20+ trout (Rainbows/ Browns) in less than 4 hours. Outstanding.

We’ve been to the Smokies many times but have never fished there. It was my wife’s first time trying. Our guid in June was Johnny and he was great. Ask for him. We caught several small rainbows in the Pigeon. It was a 5 hour trip which was a great value with lunch. Besides for the beautiful mountain scenery this was the favorite activity of the weekend trip. Great job!

We had a 5 hour float trip with Kevin! He was very knowledgeable and great to work with! Great outfitter and great guide. We hope to be back next spring and will definitely ask for Kevin!

I recently surprised my husband with a 5-hour float trip with Fly Fishing the Smokies in Bryson City. Our guide, Colton, was knowledgable, safety-minded, patient, fun and had a great sense of humor. Literally, everything you could want in a guide. It was a cold and exceptionally windy day, but we still managed to bag 29 rainbow and brown trout so you could say we didn't go fishin' - we went catchin'! I recommend this fly shop and guide service 100%.

They hooked us up! Awesome guys. They made sure each kid caught a fish. One of them (maybe not the youngest kid but he had never been fly fishing) caught 10!

Fred was an excellent resource for me as I traveled thru the area. He was very knowledgeable, I picked up a license and flies here. They are well equipped with waders, rods, everything you may need!

My wife and I came to Bryson City for rafting with our family. We only spent one night at the inn but everything was great! The reservation and communication was easy and correct. The Movie Suite was decorated nicely and the amenities were nice. The owners supplied snacks, coffee, drinks, and breakfast. The morning view from the porch is beautiful and pleasant. It was a great experience and we will come back for a longer stay. We met Ed and he was super nice and had lots of great info about the area. Thank you so much for the stay!

Spent one night here and had a really great sleep. I met Ed, Shirley and Steve and they were all so lovely and welcoming and gave advice on where to eat and some local scenic sights. The room itself was very comfortable, had lots of satellite tv channels and some food was provided including fresh pastries from the bakery which were delicious. From the balcony I was able to see some birds, including red cardinal and goldfinch and at night on my return from the restaurant I saw firefly’s which was so cool. Also a cute cat came and joined me for breakfast. It was a great stay and I just wish I had a few more days there. Thanks Ed and Shirley.

Everything was absolutely PERFECT about our stay here. We stayed in the Movie Gallery Suite for 2 days. The suite was large, wonderfully decorated, and as exceptionally clean. The communication was outstanding with the host, from start to finish. And it was a unexpected surprise to have Ed come and greet us upon arrival. We loved the thoughtful snacks and treats left to greet us, and the stocked fridge and continental breakfast were great. The inn is perfectly located - close to everything in town, including the GSMR (what we came to enjoy). The inn made for a fantastic birthday getaway for my wife's milestone birthday. We highly recommend this place for everyone - and hope to return someday.

The BEST place to get away for a few days! Our suite was large, comfortable and well decorated. The owners even provided us with food and drinks, along with some delicious apple fritters. We really enjoyed the view from the rocking chairs on the porch. The Western NC mountains are amazing. I couldn't have asked for a nicer place or stay!

This is our second time staying at the end. We love it. The location is great, the fridge is stocked, and the apple fritters are to die for. I saw one review that said you could only see rooftops from the porch. If you want to stay in the woods, this isn't the place for you. If you want a clean suite, comfortable beds, and gracious hosts, this is absolutely the right place for you. The walk to the train is a couple of blocks. The town goes for several blocks, so if you don't want to walk it, take your car. We will be going back.

The Calhoun house is the perfect place to stay. Great accommodations, great views and easy access to town. We appreciated the attention to detail in the suite. It was a home away from home. We look forward to our next visit here.

Kinda a small store. Nothing much for the guys other than clothes and a few accessories. We purchase 2 shirts for me and my wife. We typically buy Harley shirts at the different Harley places we visit. The manager/owner? was super nice and very customer oriented. She actually took a shirt off of a mannequin because it was the only XL in that color and design. Good business practices.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with getting my med filled! I was very noticeably profiled and looked at like a juncky because of the medication I’m prescribed by a medical professional!! The pharmacist there is absolutely horrible and very very rude and made me feel very bad about myself and my situation. I will never, ever get another prescription filled by walgreeens and I would highly recommend that nobody else does either. Very unprofessional and very poor customer service. 👎Walgreens has officially lost me and my whole family’s business. Pathetic people.

This is a nice store and pharmacy and I like the easy to use, Walgreens app. I would have rated 5 stars but their pharmacy is closed on weekends. If I need my prescription, and can’t wait until Monday, I have to go elsewhere.

if you could give 0 stars this walgreens pharmacy should get -25. It is ran very poorly. I have never seen a place that had at one point 8 people in the pharmacy and only 1 running a register. Apparently ,there are too many managers and not enough staff, aka managers should be helping, but no. If you can go anywhere else or can transfer your scripts to Sylva location highly recommend.

I got to the pharmacy at 5:15 pm and didn't get to leave until almost 7. Instead of telling me what I needed to do, they gave me 3 different reasons why I can't get it filled and why the insurance wasn't working, and basically being like too bad so sad come back Sunday... Which yeah, cool I would usually be fine with that, except I won't be back until Tuesday from going out of town... it took them an hour to finally relay my provider needed to call and approve the rest of my partial fill (it was filled at another pharmacy and they ran out of the medication) instead of just saying that from the beginning, they were just being really short and acting like they did have time to deal with me. This on top of ignoring me, and ignoring the phone when my provider called multiple times. I even told the blond younger girl at the front with glasses that "Hey, that phone ringing is my provider calling to approve the rest of the fill" she responds to me "How is that your provider? Most places are closed at this time" 😳 This place seems totally scattered and absolutely no one has any clue what is actually going on with anything. There were multiple people inside waiting having issues as well.... I don't think it was a fluke guys, I think you probably need to figure out how to fix this pharmacy.

Temporarily closed with 4" of snow? Was in the ER and thankfully they provided some meds to last a few days. I'm guessing my other prescribed meds have to wait until someone has better tires? Pharmacies are a vital community service. First responders don't have the luxury to have a snow day during Flu season. I'm grumpy when I'm sick but I still drove to the ER.

Went inside to pick up two prescriptions that had been called in several hours earlier. No one acknowledged me as I stood waiting. It appeared to me that one young man went out of his way to ignore me as I tried to catch his eye while he stood around waiting for cars to pull up to the drive thru window. I finally left after 20 minutes.The staff in the pharmacy could definitely use some customer service training. I see that most of the reviews left were complaints about the service at the pharmacy.

For the second time, I ordered flowers from this florist. Both times I did not get what I ordered. I spent over $60 on a premium bouquet (over $80 total with delivery), but the bouquet was definitely not premium. I received one lily and a bunch of cheap filler flowers. Total rip off!!!

Amber, owner at Village Florist, does an amazing job! She puts together the most beautiful flower arrangements and the flowers are always so fresh and perfect!

I live several hours out of town and I needed to send flowers to my mother in Bryson City for fer birthday. Glad that my wife and I stopped by prior to getting on the GSMR. The cookie crunch popcorn is SO DELICIOUS. It's a little pricey but worth it as a special occasion. The staff here allowed us to taste test some prior to buying, very awesome of them!

This shop is tucked on the side of the building. I almost didn’t see his sign, but I’m glad I did. He was quite busy when I arrived. They have all kinds of flavors of popcorn. I tried the caramel and sea salt one. It was delicious!

We were are our honeymoon and came across this store. The popcorn has so much flavor and we have loved every flavor we have purchased so far. We do not live in NC so we decided to order some, we had to get online and one of the flavors I wanted was no longer on the website. I email asking about the flavor and they responded quickly and even put the flavor I wanted back on the website so I could order it. They are a sweet business and so glad we visited. Highly recommend!

Nice little shop, lady behind the counter was very pleasant. Sampled a bunch of different flavors, finally opted for a bag some chocolate stuff to take along for the ride on the train. Some interesting combos. Dill was... unique... lol. Totally recommended this spot!

The employee was really sweet and the store was super clean! She made us aware of the specials as soon as we walked in. She allowed us to taste pop corn we wanted to try. We settled for some delicious kettle corn. Happy we made the purchase. They are on the side of the building so you have to make an effort to go as it’s not road front but sure glad we did! The nice employee made sure to let us know about their purchase card and shipping.

Pop-N-Jacks is the BEST!! Every flavor I have tried is so delicious and the customer service is always amazing! Thank you so much for the custom order for my granddaughter! You went above and beyond and knocked it out of the park. It was a last minute order for you and you still made it so perfectly. I had some very happy 1st graders loving every bite of the “Wicked” popcorn you made specially for my girl! YOU ROCK!! I mean YOU POP!!!

This place is sooo good I walked out with 4 different types of popcorn. I was scared to try more....because I would end up with more bags. They have one heck of selection. The lady working said they even ship so there's a good chance that might happen after we get back home. Very friendly people working.

Definitely one of our favorite stops when checking out downtown Bryson City. We had walked by one day and the kids loved Fred! We were there two days later walking around downtown and the kids were insistent on seeing Fred again 😆 This time we went inside and the lady there was so wonderful, I wish I would of caught her name. I have young kids that actually really like balsamic and they loved trying the samples and helping pick out what flavors to get. The sweet lady working there was so kind and helpful and she gave us some really great ideas on ways to try the different balsamics!

This store sells spices and sauces. They offer samples if you want to try before you buy.

We found some nice oils and several of the employees were so helpful going over the ways to use their tasty products. This was a fun and interesting so for us. We also sampled several of their products and left with three bottles to take back home with us

This shop has the most incredible selection of oils and vinegars I have ever seen, along with various other products. Some unique mustard that really stood out. There's nothing comparable in the region. It reminds me of the specialty food shops in Europe. You can even taste test before you buy. Can't wait to pop back in to restock.

Great store concept of various olive oils, specialty pastas, sauces, vinegars and spices. On their $9.99 items they have a special where you can get 3 items for $25.

There were so many free samples!! They were all delicious and Patti, the employee working when we visited was an absolute angel. She was so helpful and compassionate!

Extremely rude employee. We walked in fully intending to make a purchase, but the woman working immediately threw her keys down as soon as we entered, as if our presence annoyed her. The store was offering samples on select flavors, but when one of my friends politely asked to try a jerky, she rolled her eyes and acted completely inconvenienced. At that point, we hung up the bags of jerky we planned to buy and walked out. Terrible attitude — definitely not a welcoming experience.

My fiance and I had one place in mind to visit on our Honeymoon, and that was Beef Jerky Experience here in Bryson City, NC. This is ( hands down ) the best Jerky we've ever had!! Owner and staff are extremely courteous and friendly!! It definitely is "The Beef Jerky Experience!!" Before purchasing, the staff offered us a taste of the jerky with knowledge and friendliness that made us feel at home!! Thank you so much ( Joe & Kelsey)!! 😋

Came from Asheville to get more jerky because the web site said it was open. Well that was wrong. Lights off and the door was locked. Extremely disappointed with that.

Great customer service, this guy works here and he is so passionate about jerky, it made me want to buy even more than I wanted. He was just so knowledgeable and friendly and genuinely has a love for the game. 10/10 would recommend

My newly wed husband and I are on our hunny moon here in Bryson City. We stopped at the beef jerky experience and we had beyond customer service. The staff were extremely friendly and offered us a variety of free samples and had many awesome recommendations. The staff were fun to talk too. The store was very clean and well organized. We left feeling like we actually had an experience to remember here.

Great selection and friendly service. My son and I bought some for the train and when we got back we had to have some more. I got the Cajun which was a sweet spicy. He enjoyed the cherry maple. Highly recommend especially if you are going on the train. It makes a great snack!

Where do I start...my wife and I came up to Bryson City the first week of December for a mountain getaway. We've been escaping Florida for the past ten years during the winter and fall, and have stayed in cabins from Blue Ridge, to Tennessee, to North Carolina. We've stayed in over 20 different cabins over the years...and this stay by far was THE BEST. These tiny cabins were meticulously thought out. From the wide paved driveway all the way up-hill. To the positioning of them to get UNREAL views of the Smokies. Tiny cabin is a misnomer however, because these cabins are set up absolutely perfectly. From the beautiful porch to have your coffee on a chilly morning, to a nice living room that has ample space, a full size kitchen and bath, and a queen bed in the bedroom which is so much more than meets the eye from outside! The owners are the sweetest people you could ever meet, and go above and beyond to make your stay memorable! The beds were unbelievably comfortable and you can fall asleep to the hum of the heater or better yet, do what we do and fall asleep to absolute silence!! It's always amazing to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city, but this stay...this stay was special. There are waterfalls and hiking 15 minutes away, the Road to Nowhere 20 minutes away, and the train scene from The Fugitive 10 minutes away...With so many small towns 20-60 minutes away, there was more to do than we could have fit in, in just 5 days. Well shucks, I guess we'll just have to be back! We already are looking forward to returning!

We had an amazing experience at the Tiny Cabins of Bryson City. Louise and Rick were fabulous hosts with a very hospitable atmosphere. The cabin was wonderful and the views were spectacular. Every aspect of our visit was terrific. We truly enjoyed our time in Bryson City and will definitely return in the future. Thank you to Louise and Rick for providing such an incredible experience.

Cozy Cabin to get away from life in, with a spectacular view. Has all the amenities you would want and more! Quaint little adorable town, with some crazy cool and fun things to go do and explore! I can't say enough good things about this place..... As great as the cabin and the location is the hosts are even better!!! Will 100% be going back!!!

Cosy, clean cabins with some fabulous views of the smokey mountains. Watch the Polar Express, seasonal lit up for the holidays, wind through the valley while enjoying the firepit. Wonderful walking trails with waterfalls just minutes away. Everything you need at your fingertips. Hostess, Louise, has thought of everything for a very enjoyable stay!

Just had a wonderful 4 day stay at this cabin. The views are magnificent. The owners are great people, they go out if their way to make sure you have what you need. Loved the campfire in the evenings.

Such a wonderful cabin in a beautiful area with terrific hosts! We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend experiencing the cabin and the surrounding area - we will definitely visit again!

All the money that goes to the thrift store helps people in need. I have found some very good bargains in there. They don't ask much for things.

You need to watch when they ring you up. I bought $4.50 (3 items) and she charged me $7.47. I didn't say anything because I know it helps others but I will not go back. It was our first stop in Bryson.

Saint Joseph's Thrift store is an amazing partner of the Restoration House. They have such great quality of items and the ladies I meet at the store are all so kind and loving. 10/10!

When I found this place online, it seemed like it was going to be a hit. Visited and was kind of let down. All it really had was Simply Southern apparel, few of their bags and one rack of Myra bags. It’s a small shop and has quite a bit of SS stuff packed into it, so if that’s your thing, then you will definitely love it. Prices were fair on most things I looked at. Myra bags in my opinion are way overpriced anywhere you go, but they are cute bags. If you are looking for a little something that other stores may not have, this one may have it. But it definitely doesn’t have a selection of purses like we thought since the name is “purse”nality.

Contrary to its name, it does not have a selection of purses nor animal related. It's like a big hospital gift shop, lots of cute overpriced items. Mostly Simply Southern stuff.

It was amazing! The service was great and friendly and I can spend all of my money in here! My mom and I were throughly satisfied! We will definitely come here again when we visit Bryson City

In great contrast to the store’s name, I received a distracted, bored grunt in response to my cheery “hello!” greeting upon entering the store.

This is just a wonderful store. Most if not all of the goods in there are locally made. There's a wonderful selections of soaps, towels, art, pottery, and so much more. It's also a good place to pick up Ashe County Cheese, one of my favorites. Customer service has always been very pleasant too, if you want to know the story behind something there they've always been happy to tell it.

Excellent customer service with a welcoming atmosphere! We got a few of the Goat Milk Stuff soaps and love it! If you get a chance definitely stop by to support this business!

Really great store with super reasonable prices. The space is actually huge when you walk in, which I wasn’t expecting with tons of room for a great selection of super sweet clothes. It seems like they do markdowns often and are always having a sale. They even sell dried sage, which is such a cool touch. It’s on the edge of town super conveniently located to other shops and restaurants in town and to the train depot. Glad y’all are here.

Amazing experience & cute merchandise! My girlfriends and I were in Bryson City celebrating a birthday and we walked by this boutique. It was around 7:08p and they had JUST closed at 7p so we were bummed we couldn’t check it out. Then, the employee who just closed the shop walks back up and invites up to come in! She literally re-opened the store for us to shop! Kaylin was super sweet and really made our day! We left with so many awesome new goodies & smiles on our faces. I’ve been in retail and customer service for 10+ years and service like this is SO hard to find! Kudos to Kaylin and the owner for being such awesome humans and truly caring about what the boutique experience should be about! SUPPORT THIS LOCAL BUSINESS 👏🏼💗

8/9/24. Had to grab gas & a snack. Pump #3 is never is working according to clerk. It sounded like she often said it. Maybe put a sign on the pump.

I've only been there a handful of times but the place is always very clean and well organized. Clean bathrooms! They sell smoothies, cold brews, frappes... Etc. plus other fun things like hats, stuffed animals etc

Internet on registers are outdated and caused many people, including myself, to walk out. Employees were trying their best, but without the right tools and equipment, this place will continue to be Bryson City's Worst Gas Station

Fantastic little shop! Wandered in looking for nice cheese for a picnic, and found all that and more. Lovely selection of cheese and wine, local honey, beautiful crafts and glass and wood pieces, and a charming downtown atmosphere. Great place to wander through, and more likely that not you'll find something to fall in love with. Great for a quick pre or post meal drop by.

The store is very nice but the guy and his dog that were there lied to us. We wanted to buy some cheese so we asked him what time he was closing and he said 5 so we told him we’d be back to get the cheese because it was warm outside and we didn’t want to ruin the cheese. We returned at 4:30 and the store was closed. We were sooo disappointed....the cheese looked really good. By the way we left the store at 3

Nice little shop with items from local artists and craftsmen. Don't believe what Google says they are only open until 4 on Sundays NOT 5! Fellow there was nice enough to let us in and shop anyway. Watch out for Miss Molly!
