Lexington Market is a historic indoor market in Baltimore, established in 1782 and currently undergoing expansion and renovation. It is part of the Baltimore Public Markets system, which includes five markets. The market offers a wide variety of food stands, produce, meat, seafood purveyors, and exotic groceries. Visitors can enjoy soul food, deli sandwiches, Maryland crab chowder, burgers, hot dogs, cookies from Bergers Bakery, poke bowls, jerk chicken and stuffed potatoes.
Fun market with lots of a variety of foods from all over the world. We’ve eaten here 4 times so far on our trip to Baltimore. It’s clean and has plenty of employees at every establishment as well as Lexington Market workers cleaning floors and tables. Lots of security personnel as well. Closes at 5:00 pm, so not really an option for dinner time. Area around the market isn’t the best and doesn’t really feel safe after dark. Food is delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced.

1rst impressions is lots to eat and see every vendor takes pride in what they are serving and and love what they do only problem I had was I ordered a crab cakes from fadleys and just picked a random spot to eat it based on previous markets I have been too Like Pikes Place in Seattle,Reading terminal Market in Philly and Historic Market in South Carolina,All great Markets and food and people so, when I say I just picked a random spot to eat in had no idea a sloppy, ignorant, miserable vendor would tell me I cant eat here, then proceeded to make a comment about me also having fadleys which I was eating at the time, little did he know my wife actually was deciding pizza or tacos so I told her screw his pizza and I was on vacation nice customer service.Other than that very cool vendor I had also grabbed Some great food from Sweet Peas Southern Kitchen friendly fast and great soul food
Mark — Google review
This is such a great market to be in with a good selections of quality restaurants including delicious fried chicken, fresh juice shop, large bakery, mini donuts, fresh seafood and meats, candy shop, and more. Atmosphere: open, spacious, not super clean but not bad, and it’s visible the staff are actively cleaning after people made mess in bathrooms, on the steps or in the eating area. This is a generally safe place, but still, stay alert to your surroundings. Value: good price on most of the foods we ordered included sandwiches from sunnyside, fried chicken and liver from super fried chicken or pastries from the market bakery. Service: friendly people from staff to shop owners. Location: convenient, with many options of parking garage and street parkings. Definitely recommend.

Haven't been to Lexington Market maybe since 2010. So to see it remodeled, it looked Amazing. Definitely a vibe. I love that they have all different cultures of food. I will most certainly be back!

Haven't been in years and I see why. Some of my favorite spots are gone. Parks fried chicken is outside across the street now and a 4 piece chicken box with fries costs 10$ !!!...... Chicken boxes used to be accessible to poor people....smh

Fun place to walk around and explore different food options. We ate a Faidley's and also had a crapdip covered pretzel and downstairs had berger cookies. Wish I had bought more than one! The neighborhood was the only place we were approached for money and cigarettes, but otherwise we enjoyed the market. People inside were kind other than at Faidley's.
Janean W — Google review
I remember as a kid, my mom used to bring me here. Now, about 50 years later, I came to check this place out. It’s in a new location but you can still find plenty of choices to eat and purchase fresh seafood. Got a little bit turned around finding this place. Even though we were in downtown Baltimore and the areas and folks looked a bit rough, they were friendly and helpful.
Mike J — Google review
I went here to have breakfast and walked around checking out the other businesses. There is plenty to choose from and the prices are really reasonable. I tried Sunny Side Cafe, B'more Twist, and Super Fried Chicken. You won't be disappointed!

Shopping mall
Located in Northwest Baltimore, Mondawmin Mall offers shoppers over 100 specialty stores under one roof. It is a comfortable mall perfect for chilling out with friends or simply walking side by side with your special someone. The mall is also an excellent place to find household items as it houses a supermarket.
This place has the best workshops for professional development and supplemental services to uplift the community. It's always clean and bright and we are greeted at the door with the best and most friendliest security personnel. Thanks to BCYF!!!!
Kelle P — Google review
The mall does its job, and helps many people in the community. I'm glad there's a grocery store here. It is very clean and well maintained inside the mall, but the sidewalks outside could definitely benefit from an occasional power wash. It definitely looks a bit rough. There should also be more entertainment options for kids! A movie theater, arcade, or bowling alley could greatly uplift this mall. There is potential here, and I hope for an anchor or something exciting to come!
Matthew Y — Google review
This mall is fairly nice and clean. There are a pretty good amount of clothing/shoe stores. Limited places to eat. I don't really shop here but it's a nice place to relax in and maybe order some take-out. There is not a place to sit and eat. Unfortunately the subway/bus stops located outside are not. It's dirty and needs an upgrade. My daughter catches the bus/train and complains constantly. No employees available to ask questions, trains constantly late or don't show up at all. There is a Ross on the parking lot of the mall which is stocked okay but they literally have security stop you at front before entering by removing a velvet rope before you enter and I believe your picture is taken by some camera prior yo being allowed in the store. I believe this is because of consant stealing.
Ramona J — Google review
The place has some good stores. I've been coming here since the early 90s. Recently had an issue with one of the stores here when trying to do a simple return. I feel the customer service could have been a lot better than it was. Generally never have any problems here. I had the receipt, product was not used. Didn't see what the issue was.
George S — Google review
Great clothing and shoe stores but lemme tell you DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO IN THERE ANYTIME AFTER 2PM TILL SAY LIKE 430. THERE ARE SOOOO MANY DISRESPECTFUL SCHOOL KIDS JUST STANDING AROUND OUTSIDE AND CROWDING AROUND YOU!! Other than this the mall itself is great to go to!!!
Tabitha C — Google review
It’s always a in and out type time for me never staying in one lane longer than necessary.. but I can always find a hat or some sweats in dtlr or against all odds
Black M — Google review
I do NOT like going to this mall at all! It's way to HOOD for my liking. Way to much activity always going on in the parking lot. And someone asked me for money on the outside & someone asked me for a donut on the inside of the Dunkin Donut up on my last visit 😕
Tray C — Google review
Admittedly not the classiest place in Baltimore by any means, but it has all the essentials. Clothes, food, services. Could use some more entertainment options. Overall, a fairly decent place compared to what I was expecting coming in.

Market
Broadway Market, a historic gem that dates back to 1786, is a must-visit destination for food lovers exploring the vibrant Fells Point neighborhood. Originally known as Fells Point Market until its relocation in 1797, this charming market has evolved over the centuries while retaining its authentic character. Visitors can indulge in traditional Polish dishes and an array of delightful treats that truly elevate the dining experience. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, making it easy to savor every bite of your meal.
Such a cute space! The renovations have really allowed it to shine. Very clean and hip on the inside. there are food stalls inside, outdoor seating, and limited street parking (parallel parking is the main option, streets can be narrow-- it's fells point, so be mindful of that!) great place to walk to if you're in the area. Prices will range depending on where you choose to eat. Inside, they have Last Slyce, Thai Street, Everest Spice, Connie's chicken and waffles, and Taharka Brothers. Plenty of options to choose from! I recommend and can't wait to come back.
Faith O — Google review
I love that there are several different eateries inside, great places to choose from. We chose Sanford and son, sorry, I can't remember the exact name. But the food was so good. The customer service was even better. The lemon fresca is the bomb and the pineapple one is as well, the watermelon was good, but not as good as the other.Two.
Queen N — Google review
Cute little market in the Fells Point neighborhood. We enjoyed the crab cakes and Maryland Crab Soup from Vikki's! It's a must try.
Anjela F — Google review
We went on a Monday 10/13/25. The place was not crowded. We sat at the bar while we waited for our crabcakes. Older man was working the bar/working around the bar. He didn't approach us or ask if we wanted drinks. We got our food and started to eat. A nice black woman asked us if he had asked us to move. We said no, did he ask you? Yes, she said. So she goes off to confront him and he comes back to tell us to move. What a racist jerk! So we moved and invited the nice black lady to sit with us. He seemed to be associated with the Indian restaurant. 10/10 Horrible racist man.
Emily K — Google review
This is a nice food hall that offers a variety of places to eat. We were able to try a couple of different eateries. Each had its own unique items. Usually my fiancé and I like different eats and it’s nice to be able to combine different food all in the same location. A lot higher quality food than a food court.
Matthew — Google review
Very nice area. The polish meats are delicious. The restaurant was nice. Afterward we enjoyed a walk along the water
Lee C — Google review
Located in popular Fells Point, Broadway Market is a little food hall on the site of a historic market. During an overnight trip at the nearby Canopy Harbor Point, my family of three walked here for dinner on a Saturday evening. There aren't lots of food stands inside, but enough to find something you like. They have chicken and waffles, Thai, ice cream, seafood, a bar, etc. We opted for Thai and the vendor was out of this world. Our green curry, papaya salad and pad thai were well flavored and tasty! There are public restrooms in the back and tables outside and throughout the inside of the space. Our four-year-old daughter especially loved the kid-sized yellow table.
Austin G — Google review
Nice food hall with limited food options. Thai place, Connie fried chicken, a bar serving American fare. The prices are ridiculous for the limited menu. Limited seatings too. It's ok but there are better places surrounding that food hall.

Visitors can indulge their taste buds at numerous food stalls and restaurants, particularly in the Light Street Pavilion, while also exploring the Pratt Street Pavilion for more retail options. No car parking. Park you car at street parking opposite to the waterfront. There’s sufficient spots and street parking is affordable 👍🏽. Beautiful scenic views in the Baltimore downtown.

Liz C — Google review
Horrible. Stopped in the gift shop on the first floor, which was fine. Went upstairs to use the bathroom. I DO NOT recommend. Second floor is abandoned. Health service eviction notices on doors due to mice and insects… no locks on any bathroom stalls, and most urinals and toilets out of order. Avoid at all costs going to second floor.
John L — Google review
Lovely Harbour area , very quiet at 11.15A.M on the morning of our visit. Unfortunately, a lot of the shops ( Hard Rock Cafe ) , paddle boat rides, and ferry services were closed. The few that were open were few and far between !!! Went into the Baltimore Tourist Information Centre, no one said anything about what was happening,( we were offered a tour of the historic city by a friendly staff member, for a fee )..but we Learnt much later that the whole area is earmarked for a MAJOR REDEVELOPMENT,hence the " non-vibe " feel . Had a lunch at the Phillips restaurant, which was OK. Nice walking around the harbour, pity that nothing was happening.

Always great food and dessert at the Cheese Cake Factory. Very clean and awsome seating areas. We sat outside next to the harbor which was very relaxing. The staff was very friendly and always asked us how is everything. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Fun place to walk around even on a cloudy day! Boat rides are available ranging from little to big tour cruises. There are shops, restaurants, museums, and an aquarium. Fun to people watch too. There were some entertainers who used garbage cans to play the drums; very creative. Nice to walk around just to get exercise too. Plenty of police presence so I felt safe. I’ve heard the aquarium is great but we didn’t have time to explore. Would have liked to though

Specialty Museums
Nestled just a few blocks from the iconic Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum is a must-visit for baseball enthusiasts and history buffs alike. This unassuming brick row house marks the birthplace of George Herman Ruth, affectionately known as "the Bambino." Although his family resided nearby rather than in this house, it has been transformed into a tribute to his remarkable life and career.
Admission is $15 dollar....it was worth the trip. Parking is limited but, there are spots with meters. Always check signage when Parking. I was in town and walked over to the museum. Once you see the Babe Ruth Museum baseball's on the sidewalk, follow it to the museum. It was an easy walk from Camden Yards. There are two levels, there are stairs and an elevator. There are unisex bathrooms. Also, there is a gift shop. You can take as many pictures that you want.
Mr. R — Google review
If you are a baseball fan it will be worth the $15 for the memorabilia alone. Being a Ruth fan or Yankees fan will just enhance the experience. If you are in town for a game or just have an hour or two its worth the visit. The time goes by as you look at the displays. You can go through quickly in like 20 minutes if you speed read or skip some of the displays with vids.
Amla192837465 A — Google review
Went to go visit The Sultan of Swag, The Colossus of Clout, The King of Crash, The Great Bambino, George Herman Ruth’s birthplace. Me and my dad took our sweet time reading everything and enjoying all of his greatness. Definitely recommend going and learn something.
Tito M — Google review
If you're a true baseball fan this isn't a place for you. I walked out after reading "Babe Ruth is the greatest ball player of all time". Any true fan knows it's actually JOSH GIBSON. He surpassed Babe Ruth in many stats. In fact it can even be said that Babe Ruth was the white Josh Gibson. I hope they have stuff about Jackie Mitchell, women who struck him out in an exhibition game. Anywho This is perfect for Babe Ruth fans for sure though. They'll LOVE it!
Zonnia H — Google review
At $15 per person, not expensive, but if you bring a family of 5, it's $75. Obviously as Babe's birthplace, it was a lower class row house that he left well before he was famous, so there isn't much memorabilia - there's far more in the Baseball Hall of Fame and the Yankees Museum. In fact, there is more Baltimore sports memorabilia than Ruth memorabilia. But it's 2 blocks from Oriole Park, so how can you not go?
Joe S — Google review
I enjoyed the museum. I would encourage any baseball fan to come and enjoy the legacy of the greatest player to play the game. I was not a impressed with Baltimore. Our Uber didnt feel safe driving.

I've been to this venue a few times now and the most recent being a festival catered for families. It was a fun event with food trucks, performance, and prizes. The overall atmosphere is a chill place to hang with bars all around.
Rafael L — Google review
The concert venue was easy to find & conveniently located a walk away from our hotel. Three blocks to be exact. 0.2 miles or a 5 minute walk. We chose to get a Lyft for convenience. We went to the Power Plant Live to see the Never Early Fest. The nearest parking garage to the Power Plant was tricky in that it had very narrow driveway. We got a ride from a friend back to our hotel after midnight, and we notice mirrors on corners used to help prevent cars from colliding against each other in the garage driveway. The car before us on the drive down in the parking garage got hit. It was the first time I ever got stressed in a parking garage, and I was just a passenger. I like how it was easy to find seats outdoors on the second floor balcony with a good view of the main stage, the many & clean bathrooms, and the open air ambience of the venue. Navigating the different stages & areas for different music artists was easy & we were provided assistance/ service with swift efficiency. Some of the stages were indoors at different bars. The main stage was outdoors. The only concerns we had was finding the elevator, the interruptions (people ) & traffic flow blocking concert goers view of performances at one stage area, and not being in a well ventilated areas. We did not eat the food there & only had Diet Coke fountain drinks at a bar. The major highlight of the venue is that we were able to see multiple music artists of different genres on five different stages & places within this concert venue - indoors & outdoors. I would have liked having coffee & white wine options there yet was unable to find them at a bar by the main stage. Overall, we had a spectacular time at The Power Plant Live for The Never Early Fest by Rappolla Entertainment. It was the largest concert music venue we ever went to in our life, and there was very little issues to deal with during the day & night. It really helps significantly to get a hotel room nearby & walk or get a ride to the concert venue. We got to experience many unknown & brilliant music artists and genres at The Never Early Fest - acoustic, 90’s rock, punk, alternative, & folk music - and some of the music artists were from the local Maryland music scene.

My legitimate favorite band that got together for reunion tour, better known as Acid Bath, played a gig at Rams Head Live (correct me if I got the name wrong) and it was amazing. I felt much more comfortable inside the gig which is what I was there for than I did outside of the gig, which is what I would assume was power plant live. The Energy felt quite chaotic, people were kind of rude, pushy, and not as courteous as you would hope. I'm a wheelchair user so at least I can say that it was accessible to get in there, however I have a good amount of experience using my wheelchair and I can absolutely confirm that not all Mobility devices such as a power chair, are going to fit into certain places in the area. Not to mention just the fact that it's extremely crowded, and pretty loud. Overall I got to see my favorite band wish I never thought would happen in my lifetime so I'm happy.

It's an awesome venue that is set up like its own side street. All the cool little bars and restaurants are nice too. On the main stage it's nice having two bars right there and the sound system was super good. Overall love the area and the venue definitely will be coming back when Svdden Death does Nevermore again!! Another thing I liked is how you can overlook the main stage from upstairs and it offers a really great view.

Pizza Is so delicious here. They even have a vegan ice cream and bread pudding. It's to die for. Love the venue. Only is a slight complaint mosh pits or dangerous cuz the ground isn't level and I even met someone that spraying their ankle and I rolled it a little bit too. But always a great time. Always have a blast! Besides that.

Belvedere Square is a vibrant commercial complex located in North Baltimore, offering an array of boutiques, shops, and diverse eateries. The sprawling 110,000-foot hub hosts seasonal festivals and summer concerts as part of the Summer Sounds series from May to August. Visitors can explore locally sourced gourmet goodies at the market or indulge in delicious bites from various dining options such as The Pizza Trust, Thai Landing, and Koba Korean Barbecue.
My first time visiting The Belvedere Square. My niece and I came specifically for a restaurant that serves the smoked mussels which were phenomenal! We traveled over an hour and the trip was well worth it! The Belvedere Square is a unique shopping experience filled with a variety of restaurants offering something different from Asian cuisine to down home style county cooking. We tried a few of the eateries. And just about everything was spot on delicious. They even have a watering hole for a wide selection of adult beverages. And I can’t forget the homemade crêpe restuarant where they offer a range of sweet and savory treats that will satisfy any sweet tooth made fresh to order. Belvedere Square offers plenty of free parking indoor and outdoor dining spaces. We enjoyed our shopping experience, even with all the hustle and bustle of the children and families moving about it was an enjoyable day to try the unique shops available in the square!

Love everything about Belvedere Square Market. The stalls are all occupied with amazing food options, there are even several options in the middle now. Pono Taco doesn’t have a place to review so I’ll do it here. This was supposed to be queso and chips. Guess they can’t even get that right. Also this tiny thing was six freaking dollars. Go to the market, but avoid pono taco at all costs.

This place is like a mall food court without thr mall vibe. Great place for Thai food (Thai Landing). Hot, tasty, and hearty. Staff was nice and open to suggestion requests. We ordered: 1) Hilo Bowl. Shrimp was a good size and servings were a reasonable size. 2) Build Your Own Salad: They have you fill out an order slip of what you like in your salad, which is great 👍. The veggies and fruits were fresh and savory. 3) Thai Fried Rice (added broccoli and pinapple). This was very good! With the portion size, my wife was able to each lunch and I finished off for dinner 🍽😋. 4) Pad Tha (added chicken & shrimp): Some of the best Pad Thai I've had, besides when we vacationed in Thailand. Great taste and noodles. I asked for medium-hot, but wasn't so hot. They have general seating (inside and outside) that's shared with the other establishments and the atmosphere, as mentioned earlier, is like a mall food court. Definitely an nice place meet, eat, and even have a drink. Maybe we'll try the bar next time.

Visitors can enjoy waterfront dining at over a dozen restaurants such as The Cheesecake Factory and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Additionally, there are specialty shops offering unique souvenirs like Destination Baltimore and McCormick World of Flavors.
Lots a shops with interesting items. Great place to hang out in the evening and listen to music as you sit by the water. Lots of people but not really crowded too bad. The candy shop was fun with interesting choices. There are several restaurants to choose from mostly sea food but there were some others. Coffee/ice cream shop across the street which was delicious. The bbn oat rides add to the ambiance as well as the fun. We had a great evening adventure.

A quiet gallery with a shopping center there in yet the tourist movement is rather small. We spend about ten minutes taking a short break finding no specific goods or items of interest. We begin to understand the life if a small town.

I'm from Pittsburgh and this mall is small but is awesome nice selection of stores. Very clean and a great selection of goods and stores I had to get a Pittsburgh steeler Jersey here and they had it so I could wear to the game. It’s a classy kinda place no smoking with is amazing I can’t stand cigarette smokers there so disgusting and disrespectful and selfish. I had a good time spending money there and will return. With its cozy bar hosting various events like stand-up comedy and karaoke nights, Atomic Books is not just a bookstore but also a vibrant social hub.
I highly recommend this Cool book store. They have a variety of books, from fiction to nonfiction as well as occult and some science fiction. I would come back again for Tolkein's series. They also sell lots of goods and some cute miniature or figurines from Japan.

An absolute dream of a bookstore. Just amazing. So many options both modern and traditional, with a mind towards obscure and Niche interests. They have tons of autographed items by John Waters and I'm in trouble now that I know that they ship anywhere. Another cool place in Baltimore that I could spend all of my money at if I lived here. The staff are friendly too; I asked about cool stuff to do in the area and was pointed in the right direction.

Truly a gift to this world. We have to cherish shops like this. My only complaint is on the density of literature, which can be intimidating, but that only opens up the opportunity for you to speak to the staff or regulars. I find something wonderful every time I come here. We should all strive to create or at least maintain a community good like this place.

Cute clean store. I book store hop a lot. And this one has potential. But not organized very well. 2 small sections just “fiction” “non fiction” that’s very broad lol. Fantasy? Crime? Thriller? Horror? Iv seen even smaller stores than this still have books sectioned off. Also. Why not have an end cap with the hottest new books? Book tok favorites or something.

I have been to almost every comic shop in maryland and by far this shop is the most organized and caring. This charming boutique is perfect for those on the hunt for whimsical dresses from indie designers, stylish shoes, and eye-catching bags. With a thoughtfully curated selection that includes trendy matching sets, unique jewelry, and locally sourced gifts, Doubledutch offers something special for every fashionista.
It is nice vintage clothing store. Clothes give a vintage vibe but they are new clothings i think. They are good quality. I found one dress really cute on sale section which was 50 dollars. They also sell candles and other jewelry which was cute too.

I (31F) will start with this. I have never met the owner face to face and am assuming that it is the woman with the red hair. Please correct me if I am wrong. I have been going to this store since it was in its old shop where Atomic Records is. I have always LOVED the clothing here and will say that it helped me identify my sense of style early from the age of 16. Today I made the decision that I (unfortunately) will never step in this store again. As the years have gone on, I have felt that the styles in the store have changed and is no longer my style, but that is not my main concern. What concerns me the most, however, is the increased feeling of not being wanted in the store. Miss red hair will stare at you the entire time you peruse. Today, she greeted everyone in the store except for me. People notice that. Over the years, the belief that Hampden is racist has been in the news very frequently in my opinion. I hope that the owner at Doubledutch boutique will look more intrinsically in relation to how she consciously AND subconsciously treats black people who enter her store. End of an era I guess….

I bought a clothes item as a gift, and when the recipient tried to exchange the item for a different size they were straight up told no. The item still has the tags on, just didn't fit. Apparently there is a 30 day return policy that really screws people off they like to get their shopping done early. If I wanted to play games with sizes and returns I would have stuck with Poshmark.

I love R. House. It’s a great place to go when you can’t settle on what to eat. Several great food options. BRD is definitely my favorite, but everything I have tried has been good. A bit loud at busier times, but overall a great place to check out.

The food is pretty hit or miss so some things are really good and some are not. The building is really nice with plenty of seating but the bathrooms are so bad and most of the tables and chairs outside are locked up the whole day and you ask someone to unlock them and they never do. The service is horrible. You wait forever to order and forever again to get the food. Overall this place looks good and seems promising but it doesn't live up to expectations.

Very neat community vibe at this food court. Great indoor and outdoor seating areas to choose from after you make a difficult choice of amazing vendors for something to eat and drink. Cross Street Market, with a rich history dating back to 1838, has undergone numerous upgrades and restorations over the years. Originally an open-air market, it was transformed into a two-story Italianate structure in the late 1800s. After a fire in the 1950s, the building was reconstructed and recently underwent another renovation in 2019. The latest amendment included restoring entrances to their original 1950s designs and adding communal seating.

I miss when it was a market. Now it's basically just a food court. Still, the renovations look great, it's clean, it's just not how I remember. It used to be bustling with meat and produce stands, fresh squeezed lemonade, live music, and so many more vendors! I just feel like it's missing something now. The same thing happened to Hollins Market and Lexington Market. They feel hollowed out and on the expensive side.

Where are the veggies and fruit? What happened to the farmers market for this Saturday morning (which fell between May and October) at the Cross Street Market. This Cross Street Market farmers market is talked about by major Baltimore touring organizations, magazines and social media sites. Maybe their publications are outdated. If so, then their announcements should be updated. At 9:00 this Saturday morning it seemed things were just getting started. There were not many people around and no one could provide any information about a highly-touted farmers market. Well, so much for the fruit and veggie inspection and purchase. At the renovated market, a few shops were open and serving breakfast and coffee, but that was just about it. The place was quiet, I remember the hustle, bustle, laughter and people from the good old days. The building is nicely renovated. There is a noticeable alignment of shops along the side walls of the interior of the building. There are also easily accessible entrance and exit areas. Artwork and signage on the building is pretty. There is tabled seating outside on the side of the building, but I am not sure if it is general seating or for specific shops. There is limited parking around the building and additional parking within walking distance, but pay close attention to parking signs. There were plenty electric scooters available outside. Because it was early morning there was not much traffic. Very pleasant.

I ate at a cafe at Cross Keys today. The parking lot by the restaurants was packed. I drove around a few times and eventually parked in the fifteen mute spot because I'm on crutches and could not walk a long way. I hung my handicapped placard. I got a $25 ticket. I'm 67 and I've never in my life heard of anyone getting a ticket in a retail parking lot. The Rotunda is a renowned outdoor shopping area in Baltimore, located in the vibrant neighborhood of Hampden. It features high-end retail shops, restaurants, office spaces, and a park. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as visiting the farmers' market, dining at upscale eateries, and catching a movie at the theater. The area also hosts outdoor events like movie showings beneath the stars.
Explore Baltimore - The Rotunda Address: 711 W 40th St, Baltimore, MD 21211 Hours: Closed ⋅ Opens 7 AM Opened: 1971 Owner: Hekemian & Co No. of stores and services: 10 Total retail floor area: 300,000 sq. ft 1800’s Tracing the history of The Rotunda begins in the 1800s when it was part of the Mount Pleasant tract (not to be confused with Mankin’s mansion of the same name). It was home to the Clarke family, who built the buildings on the property known as the “Beaumont Estate.” 1922-1969 Maryland Casualty Company’s business campus included impressive amenities—a clubhouse with a dining room, a 1,500-seat auditorium, landscaped park, gardens, tennis courts and a baseball diamond. The idea was to provide its workers with an idyllic business campus removed from downtown’s hustle-and-bustle. The H-shaped building now known as The Rotunda was the company’s administration building. Its distinctive bell tower and clock was a landmark of the Hampden community. For more than 40 years, Maryland Casualty Company happily existed on its Hampden campus, but by 1969, the Maryland Casualty Company outgrew the four-story Rotunda building. The company considered demolishing the iconic building in 1969 and replacing it with a large office building, but developer Bernard Manekin convinced the company to turn it into retail and office space. 1973-2012 In 1973 after Maryland Casualty vacated the building, the property became Baltimore’s first adaptive reuse project including office space and a shopping mall with 40,000 additional square feet added. The building was christened The Rotunda. The Rotunda opened with several retailers including a Giant grocery store, Rite Aid, Horn and Horn Cafeteria, the Bead, Tomlinson Craft Collection, Gordon’s Booksellers, Rotunda Cinematheque and more. In 2005, the property was sold to New Jersey-based developer Hekemian and Company, which began planning a mixed-use redevelopment project to transform the historic location into an upscale residential and commercial campus. 2013-2016 In 2013, Hekemian broke ground, completing the renovation in 2016, which added new ground-level retail featuring Mom’s Organic Market (its first Baltimore City store), adding the Space Telescope Science Institute as the anchor of The Rotunda’s Offices and opening the ICON Residences at The Rotunda. Today The Rotunda was acquired by MCB Real Estate in late 2022, which began renovating, elevating, and enhancing the historic property, making it the place in Baltimore to live, work and play. The Rotunda is a vibrant, mixed-use shopping and lifestyle center located near Hampden and Johns Hopkins Homewood campus. It’s a perfect local spot offering a blend of healthy eats, essential services, and entertainment. We love stopping by Pure Raw Juice—the Almond Butter Cup smoothie with 20g of protein was delicious and filling. Mom’s Organic Market is great for groceries and quick healthy bites, and the UPS Store makes errands super convenient. The area also includes a variety of food and drink spots like MOD Pizza, Mi & Yu Noodle Bar, and Cinnaholic. A highlight is definitely Warehouse Cinemas, our go-to movie theater. It’s modern, super clean, and offers heated recliners, Dolby sound, and a fun food and drink menu—including a self-pour beer wall. The Rotunda also features wellness services like Club Pilates, CorePower Yoga, and Massage Envy, making it easy to fit in a workout or self-care session. There’s ample parking (free for 4 hours), and the layout is walkable and inviting. Whether you’re grabbing a smoothie, catching a movie, or running errands, The Rotunda is a convenient and enjoyable place to visit.

I was visiting my son and his family in Baltimore, and he took me to the Mom's market. It was better than organic stores near me in So Cal. I found so many choices for yogurt, vegetarian & vegan alternatives, teas & fresh fruits and vegetables. I wish we had this market where I live. Staff were also very nice and helpful.

The Sound Garden in Baltimore is a well-established independent music store that has been around since 1993. It offers an extensive collection of over 100,000 new and used records, CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes, and vinyl pieces. Located in the vibrant Fells Point neighborhood, this store provides a unique music experience for enthusiasts. In addition to its impressive selection of music and movies, The Sound Garden also offers video games and merchandise for sale.
Wonderful vinyl shop. I shop exclusively for used rock 'n' roll and their selection is very good. Great atmosphere with pleasant staff. I picked up several gems. Nothing outrageously rare, but excellent quality, accurately graded, at very reasonable prices. I'll definitely be going back next trip to Baltimore.

I went for the Conan Gray pop up and it was a great experience! Staff was so lovely in making sure everyone was being taken care of. For the pop up they had a water booth with a functional set up to get your entry bracelets. The store itself has such a good selection of new and older vinyls, all in great condition! There’s also a little section of posters, DVDs, stickers, and even a great selection of incense!! Definitely worth stopping by!

place kicked ass. got some new cds there, really interesting music on the speakers, love the amount and types of music they have everywhere, they even have used movies
Reily S — Google review
I've been going to The Sound Garden basically my whole life. Even before I got old enough to be a music fan, my dad would take me in here when he was buying his own stuff. I've always absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is incredible, and it's always such a fun place to visit, even when you aren't buying anything and are just looking around. They have such a wide selection of music to choose from, and I can always find something that I will enjoy listening to. The staff are always very nice and helpful, and I always feel comfortable. A few days ago, I attended my first event at The Sound Garden, and it was wonderful. I saw Conan Gray perform a few songs from his new album in the lot, and while I went in not knowing what to expect, I had a great time. I went into the store a few times to ask some clarifying questions, and the staff members were very nice and answered all my questions perfectly. Although I am not disabled myself, I witnessed staff being really kind and accommodating to someone who's disability made it difficult for them to stand in line in the heat. I got the best view I've ever gotten at a concert, and I never expected that would happen at a show for someone as popular as Conan Gray. A security guard even told me that we were "the best group of fans they'd ever had." Overall, everyone is so nice, and it is a great place to go to buy music or go to events.

Amazing record store with killer inventory, friendly service and good prices. I easily spent over two hours digging. I was most impressed with their Jazz selections, but overall, I walked away with a little bit of everything. This is also where Record Store Day began in 2007!

Second Chance Inc. is a unique secondhand shop located in Baltimore, offering a wide range of furniture, building supplies, art, and gifts in a warehouse-like setting. What sets this establishment apart is its commitment to social enterprise by providing employment opportunities and training for individuals who are unemployed or inexperienced. The program covers various areas such as deconstruction, salvage, warehousing, retail, operations, transportation, and customer service. Graduates of the training program are guaranteed associate-level positions within Second Chance Inc.
My husband and I had each heard of this store before, but we visited for the first time yesterday. The store is a cross between the Home Depot, a thrift store, and maybe even an art gallery! If you are not familiar, this is a nonprofit that give a second chance to items that come from a variety of different places, as well as to folks who have hurdles to employment. Check out their website to find out more about their overall mission. My husband and I were overwhelmed with how large the facility was, and the vast variety of items they had to offer. My husband was in love with all of the different flooring and beautiful wood that have been salvaged from different places and was available for purchase at a fantastic price, compared to retail. There were some very cool items that had been dismantled from homes of local well-known folks, and even from a movie set. If you are looking for items for your home, or in the middle of doing a remodel, you might want to check this place out because they have so much amazing stuff. The photos we took were of some unique, and rather price the items that are available. However, rest assured, there are so many more items that are a lot more reasonable in price. LOL If you want to spend your money with an organization, that does great work, definitely check this place out.

A large warehouse that’s a thrift Gem. Each visit to Maryland, this is a go-to for me. “I want it” “Where am I am going to store all these items” How am I going to get this back home (out of state) is what I find myself asking each visit. They have really great finds that you’ll want to buy each visit, especially if you’re a person into antiques and furniture. They have everything from vintage claw tubs, vintage stoves, victorian furniture, antique mirrors, gently used furniture from businesses and people’s home and so much more. Also if your looking to do some renovations they have plenty improvement materials such as appliances, window treatments, doors, flooring, lighting, ceiling fans and so much more. The employees are great and always willing to help you with your questions.

This place is a true treasure! So many team members to help if you have questions or need anything. An it is huge with so many wonderful vintage and new to you items to explore!

A wonderful place to look around, to decorate your home or to donate to. They are a non profit organization who has some incredible pieces. From sofas, kitchen appliances, photoframes, tools, materials, to outdoor furniture. They have some unique art work and historical items and antique items. Each time I have gone there I have purchased things. I have gotten a Radio Flyer red wagon, size 5 dog muzzle and a fireplace Tv stand (literally my favorite new piece of furniture in our home). A variety of items. You definitely need a few hours to be able to look at everything. There is no air conditioning there but they have fans everywhere! The workers work extremely hard and are always friendly and helpful. The guys in the red shirt help you purchase items and answer questions. The black shirt employees help move the items and load them to your vehicle if necessary. We have recommended this place to everyone we talk to and we will continue to come back!

Second Chance is the real Baltimore community supporting her people, providing customer service, reclaiming her past, receiving donations, deconstructing houses for reuse elsewhere and giving her people second chances for good. I really like this shopping center, eventhough the area is considered to be a rough. That doesn't bother me at all. I went to the Auto parts store there a few times. They are always helpful. Most of the times, I'm stopping at the Family Dollar to get a few things for the house. Most of the times I spent more than intended. This is due to the fact that I think this one of the best I'm the city. They're always pretty stocked with everything. The have the best selection of items from housewares to toys, etc. I pretty much always find what I'm looking for here. Just be advised, you do have to pay for bags.

Paid for a package to be shipped there from online. Needed this part bad so I had it delivered to the store for pick up. First I called to confirm and the lady said yes it's here! Went to pick it up with my eight year old son and the manager said it's not there and I made a decision to refund you for the part. I was pissed but left respectfully because of my son. Minutes later as I'm driving home, the manager calls to say he found my package and he'll take money off of my package!! The girl didn't communicate with her coworkers.

Used book store
This used book store, open just once a month, is a great place to get free books. All the titles on-site are free, and they accept donations as well.
First time and we had fun! We had to wait an hour to get in and they give you 55 mins to browse around and to take any books you like. The volunteer workers are so nice and helpful. Bring bags and dress for the weather.
Soo ( — Google review
I took my daughter and her friend to The Book Thing for the first time in April 2024. It was an easy process with many friendly and very helpful people to guide us through before and once we entered. It really is overwhelming to see how many books are there for anyone to take. So nice. The girls each chose 4 books and we left shortly after that. The checkout process was super simple too. The next part, wasn't great. After we jumped in the car, we drove around back to the donation area. There was a small lot, a pop up tent and a few people working. I parked and hopped out with 2 bags of books we were going to donate. I walked up to the table and the man working there told me they were not taking donations... that it was after 2pm. It was 2:10, ok. However, the tent was out. The doors were open. People were working and taking books in off of the tables. Others were picking up boxes of books off the ground. And the SIGN THAT SAID "DONATIONS" WAS STILL ON THE STREET. I asked If I could drop off since they were all still there, still picking up books and still moving them inside. He said "no". I said, but your sign is still there saying that you are taking donations... Are you telling me you don't want my books? He said no. So, I took my books back to the car and left with a bad taste in my mouth and a bad impression of this seemingly lovely service. Too bad.
Edward Z — Google review
Amazing concept, I love coming here! Parking lot is free, but full most of the time. Bring books if you want to donate, but not required. Take as many books as you like! When you inevitably fill your arms with books there is a pile of boxes for you to grab and use. Make sure to sign out when you're done!

This place deserves all the love and support it can get. Flood it with donations, both monetary and books! The volunteers are friendly and run it so smoothly and efficiently. 1) Get there early. Not only will you get in quicker, you will also be able to park closer (street parking only). I came 2 hours before opening and was third in line. 2) Bring a rolling tote bag - it's easier on your shoulders/back. 3) Talk to people in line. They're book lovers too and you might make a new friend! 4) They let in about 100 people at a time. You only have 55 minutes to browse and select your books before you have to leave and/or get back in line for another round of waiting and free books. 5) Donate your old books, CDs, magazines, and binders. 6) Tell your friends!
Eithne M — Google review
Good place for book lovers and students I got so many books for free including fiction books and some language related books. I think it is amazing how they run this place. I am looking forward to the next open date.
Hye L — Google review
Read amd follow all instructions on their website. If you want to be among the first group in you will need to be there at least 45 minutes early. After that it is not a big rush. August is the busiest month. It is not necessary to be first, relax, there are way more books than you'll even have time to view in your allotted 55 minutes. If you do want to be first, it is ok to bring a chair in a bag type thing to sit while you wait. Staff of volunteers are exceptional people with good energy, despite this being an overwhelming experience for them surely.

Clients have expressed complete satisfaction with the beautiful and delicate creations that perfectly captured their visions. The florist's thorough consultation process ensures that each arrangement is tailored to meet the client's specific needs, resulting in stunning bouquets and table decorations.
We wanted to go a very rich, dark and non-traditional direction with our florals and Fleur De Lis understood the assignment! I was blown away by how Lana took our input and created the perfect backdrop for our Equinox Ceremony at the Cloisters Castle. And my bouquet was absolutely breathtaking and got so many comments. Absolutely PERFECT!
Nicole — Google review
I received the "Pretty in Pink" bouquet from my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. The packaging and delivery was good. However, for the quality of the flowers from a "FRESH" florist...so freaking disappointing. My boyfriend paid $100 for my flowers to dwindle and die in JUST 3 DAYS. I've never received "fresh" flowers that died so fast in my life. Even my bouquet of grocery store flowers lasted longer when they were already a week old. I called and spoke to an employee and see what could be done that would be fair. I was told they only guarantee a shelf life of 3-5 days. Instead of trying to satisfy the customer, they tried to justify themselves with baseless facts instructing a customer what the customer should have done. She said if I wanted longer lasting flowers, I should have let them know. 1) The flowers were a surprise from my boyfriend and 2) Excuse me, but who wants flowers that are going to die on day 3? Never thought a fresh florist flowers would die in less than week. When I mentioned my grocery store flowers lasted longer than their supposedly fresh flowers, they claim their flowers are specialized and flowers have different shelf life. So I asked what flowers were in my arrangements and then I looked up the shelf life and they don't come anywhere close to how long they should last: Roses: 5-7 days Gerber Daises: 7-14 days Snap Dragons: 5-16 days

As a Baltimore native I want quality flowers for my friends. Super accessible and dependable, I have given Fleur De Lis my business for over 3 years with all of my friends being highly appreciative. January 2024 I used this floral business to deliver a birthday arrangement on my behalf to my Aunt. The floral arrangement pictured is what $100 got me and that included the delivery fee. I tipped a separate amount for the driver. My Aunt was very happy and called me saying how beautiful they were. The staff was very courteous on the phone and they accommodated me approximately two hours before closing so that lets you know how Amazing this place is. Tomorrow’s her big day and I’m giving 24hrs notice this time. lol let’s see what they put together for my lovely lady. I give them five stars for fast delivery, quality of flowers, turn around time and overall customer satisfaction. She told me her arrangement lasted about nine days.

We are SO happy that we decided to go with Fleur De Lis Florist in Baltimore for our wedding. Lana, the owner, is incredibly talented and creative, and has an excellent eye for design. She was also extremely understanding and flexible when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID. We came to her with just a color scheme and some vague ideas, and she got right to work! She put together sample arrangement after sample arrangement right in front of us, coming up with something that not only matched our colors but also felt unique (thistle for blue, who knew!). On our actual wedding day, the flowers were BREATHTAKING! Every arrangement, from the bridal bouquet to the arch to the centerpieces, was gorgeous. She also expertly included some requested personal touches, including components of the mother-of-the-bride's original wedding dress, in the wedding arch and bridal bouquet. We cannot recommend Fleur De Lis Florist enough!

Lana and her team were a dream to work with for our wedding florals!! We had not met Lana in person but had an original consultation with her a year before our wedding. She was amazing from the start and seeing photos of her previous work made us fully trust her for our wedding. We had a coworker mention, “so you don’t get to see your florals until the day of your wedding?” And our response was, “nope but we trust her work” and LANA DID NOT DISAPPOINT. We could not have pictured a more perfect person to bring our vision to life. Our florals were out of this world and better than anything we imagined ourselves. We had a final consultation with her where we finalized our florals and that’s it! It was all in her hands. We got to meet her on our wedding day and she was such a sweetheart. She was able to take our vision and bring it to life! We loved working with her and her team and highly recommend them!!!! Thank you Lana and Fleur de Lis!!

Nestled near Camden Yards, Geppi's Entertainment Museum is a treasure trove for pop culture enthusiasts, showcasing an impressive collection of artifacts that span from the 17th century to today. This vibrant museum features thousands of comic books, toys, and collectibles that will delight fans of all ages. With its warm atmosphere enhanced by vintage wood paneling and the nostalgic scent of ink and pulp paper, visitors are transported on a delightful journey through time.
Grand experience for its final day at Baltimore, Maryland. Excellent guests from young to the middle age. Wishing that it could expand into what used to be the Sports Museum to maintain all of the pop culture history from the 1920s to the present day. Also, I wish for a week extension for other fans of rock music, I Love Lucy, anime, Marvel Comics and DC Comics can see the true treasure trove of Batimore City.

Great atmosphere and wonderful staff, Geppi's Entertainment Museum is a place I love visiting. There are always new new exhibits coming in and many activities for the whole family. Also the gift shop is well stocked and great deals can be found. Highly recommended!!!

Geppi’s Entertainment Museum was a warm experience, transporting you down memory lane. The exhibits were laid out dramatically and the atmosphere of the old wood paneling and floors seemed to make everything glow with warmth. The most underlying sensory experience was the smell... You could smell the ink and distinctive aroma of the pulp paper, which envelopes you as you tour the museum. Everything about the museum is an enchantment. If you’re into comics and superheroes and Americana literature/entertainment don’t miss this place.

What a gem of a place in Baltimore! Don’t be discouraged by the negative reviews, this is a goldmine for thrifting and the ladies, Chris and Chris, are so lovely and are very helpful and patient if you have any queries. (Oh, and they love dogs too!) There are endless racks of curated fashion, accessories and shoes and it’s definitely worth visiting if you have had a closet declutter and in need of wardrobe staples. I’m petite so it was exciting to find clothes where I wouldn’t need to hem up and tailor the trousers and jeans. I am currently on holiday from the UK and I found the perfect outfits and shoes for work and even a beautiful work bag for my colleague. I would definitely visit again when I am next in Baltimore. Thank you so much Ladies for your kindness and support and for making the shopping experience less daunting and fun!

This store has been a staple in my family for over a decade and to have found my way back here to rebuild my wardrobe for the next phase of life I’m currently in is so special. The owner is fabulous and has the most immaculate pieces that will keep you on trend but will not break the bank 💜🙌🏾💯. You will NOT be disappointed check them out ✅. Below is a purse and pair of pants I purchased from there. The black sweater is from there. The the vintage fendi bag was consigned from there ✨

A friend had mentioned several times that I should stop in, which I did today. I found an evening wear wrap, a scarf, and an Emma Street floor length formal dress with matching lace jacket. E.S is not a high end label, but the dress probably cost $150-$200 new, and I got it for $39. It is in excellent condition. Chris, who appeared to be the owner or at least the manager, was very nice, zipped me up so I could be sure the fit was good, and took great care in hanging and protecting it after my purchase. I will be back

LOVE this store!!! I always manage to find lovely, quality items that fit my small frame and small wallet. On my most recent visit I scored huge with this beautiful pink wool coat from Talbots (pictured, along with a cute top I also picked up), new with tags still on, original price $320--got it from Vogue for $80!

Ted's Musicians Shop is a charming little gem for music lovers and aspiring musicians alike. Recently, I was fortunate enough to receive a stunning violin from my talented partner, who will be guiding me through the learning process while strumming along on the guitar for our collaborative projects. The atmosphere at Ted's is inviting; the store is beautifully organized with instruments displayed thoughtfully, showcasing their care for both products and customers.
Went here to sell an epiphone Les Paul standard and an epiphone Joe Pass Emperor. Fernando made a reasonable offer but I had a higher offer elsewhere. I would definitely include them in my places to go when I’m looking to sell the used guitars that I come across. Very approachable and they have a lot of various used instruments as well. Check them out. Also, not affecting my rating, the parking is limited so be mindful if have a bunch of gear.

Great small shop, there are practically none in this city. Any strings or accessories you would want. Helpful guys who are always super nice and accommodating. They have a huge selection of sometimes bizarre and interesting instruments, sometimes not very interesting beginners stuff, but people need those too. And occasionally you will find a true diamond in the rough deal there
Russell B — Google review
I was just gifted the most beautiful violin I’ve ever seen by my wonderful partner. My partner is a musician too, and will be helping me learn the instrument, and accompanying me on the guitar for our collab projects. Ted’s Musician Shop is a great little store - the store is very beautiful, clean, and the instruments are displayed in a very caring manner. In addition, the staff was very kind and helpful. I’m so glad to be able to support this wonderful small business. Rock on! 🤟🏾🎻✨

I've now purchased [separately over a couple years] a ukelele, accordion, and just now a beginner's violin for my daughter, and have always been happy with my purchases and the service. I'm not an aficionado or seasoned musician, but I dabble and this is a gem of a music shop.

Wandered into this hidden gem to browse selection of used woodwinds. Like stepping into Yesteryear! Knowledgeable and friendly folks here, fantastic array of old and new musical gear; allow extra time to paw through the immense volume of old sheet music. A great local find!

8.20.25 – Stopped by to have my violin bow repaired and ended up purchasing a new wooden bow along with some rosin. Fernando and Alvaro were friendly, attentive, and eager to help both me and another customer at their small, family-owned local music shop. The prices for what I bought were reasonable, and based on what I saw, they seem to offer great deals on their other instruments and accessories as well. I’d definitely return. Parking wasn’t too difficult, though the shop is located on a one-way street facing the St. Paul St. intersection—something to keep in mind when visiting.

TLDR: They pass off Shein as Boutique Be very careful with what you buy. I had purchased the cutest pair of heels and a dress yesterday, and I was in love. The shoes were 150ish, and the dress was 89.99, but came around to be closer to 95 after taxes. While in the store, I Google Lensed the shoes to make sure I wasn't buying something fake or mass-produced, and they seemed legit. My mother had picked out this pretty lace dress. The material felt light and spandex-like, but I didn't think much of it at the time. I figured since the shoes were safe, so must be the dress. When putting up the dress after I got home, I noticed the tag had been removed, and I knew for a fact it wasn't handcrafted, as it did feel produced in some sense, and artists typically put in their own tags. I used Google Lense, and of course the first thing that popped up was my dress on Shein. I bought a Shein dress for 90ish dollars. While the shoes were cute, comfortable, and from a reputable brand, please be weary, as there is an expectation from boutiques to not get fast fashion, mass-produced items. If I wanted this dress on Shein, I would have ordered it for 3 times less the price.

I went here for the first time today and it was such a fun store with so many cool shoes and jewelry! But the thing that really made the experience so great was Erica who greeted me as soon as I entered the store. She was not annoying or pushy as many store attendants are. She was genuinely so nice and helpful. She complimented my outfit and then was giving me suggestions on shoes based on my style and she got a city map for me and went through and highlighted several recommendations for me to help me get to know the area better! 10/10 customer service! I also bought some chocolate I’m excited to try. I didn’t buy any shoes today, but they had so many cool pairs I’ll know where to come back when I’m ready to invest in a unique pair!

I love this store. I have been shopping here for years after a friend introduced it to me. Every time I’m in Baltimore I stop in. The selection is amazing, the right mix of style and comfort and price. Their chocolate selection is also top notch! Customer service is also always so attentive in an way that is rare these days. I was so sad when they closed during Covid and so elated they reopened that I try to prioritize them when I buy new shoes over a big box store whenever possible.

My bridesmaids were offered a very extensive selection of dresses and each of them were able to find a dress that suited them the best! We went with a lovely Jenny Yoo dress for my maid of honor and Dessi dresses for my bridesmaids and did not regret a single penny! Bella's in Baltimore offered so many options, it seemed endless! Olivia helped us that day and she was God sent! Honestly such a great bridesmaid's dress shopping experience, I strongly recommend this location!

This place is beautiful; as soon as you walk in the door, a pleasant aroma fills your nose, and you can hear soft tunes playing in the background. The staff was so polite and welcoming that I felt right at home. They have an abundance of dressess and were super knowledgeable while assisting me with my needs. Something that truly stood out to me was the cleanliness; everything was well kept and organized. I highly recommend!
Danielle M — Google review
I tagged along on my future daughter-in-law's shopping trip for her bridesmaids in January. The young lady who was attending to MY needs was lovely, helpful and kind (I was recently recovered from mastectomy and reconstruction). My D-i-Law, however, was treated poorly by the manager. She and her best friend were so rushed that they didn't feel comfortable making a decision and so made their decision a few weeks later and were given a July delivery (9/21 wedding date). My D-i-L hadn't received any updates on the gowns in July and sent emails/made phone calls which went unanswered. She eventually went to the shop and found that the windows were papered up and the lights out. When she called HQ she was told that "of course the shop hadn't gone out of business". The short story is that the Baltimore location had indeed gone out of business and she was promised an October delivery date. Needless to say, the last few weeks leading up to the wedding were extremely stressful, though eventually they were able to find dresses for the girls (with zero help from BB), which were delivered the week before the wedding. This experience was unnecessarily stressful and we are so disappointed.
Kaaren K — Google review
Truly disappointing. I went in for a complementary fitting and they did not have a signed dress for me to try on in my size. Our bridal party’s order was placed end of June and we were promised the dresses would be in end of July. It’s now the end of August, the wedding is mid September, and we have no dresses. We have called and emailed MANY times. Our emails are not answered and phone calls are either nor answered or a fax sound comes through. We were told two weeks ago the dresses had shipped and now we are being told they are being processed for shipping?!? They have missed all dates promised in their contract. We are now having to look into getting dresses from amazing last minute so we have something to wear. Do not shop here unless you order a year ahead of time.
April M — Google review
DO NOT SHOP HERE!! We went under contract with them for 8 bridesmaid dresses. We met all their required deadlines and per out contract our dresses were set to be delivered by the end of July. Now August 22nd with the wedding under a month away we have not received the dresses and they haven't even been shipped, have had to leave 10+ voicemails, reviews, social media messages with no responses. They sent us back one email TODAY that just said the dresses were complete and they were working with Bella Baltimore to ship them from the distributer. AGAIN NOT EVEN SHIPPED YET!! We are now forced to by back up dresses elsewhere as we will not have time to alter the dresses we ordered from Bella which they advertise that their dresses need alterations.
Kaitlin D — Google review
DO NOT PURCHASE ANY DRESSES FROM THIS RETAILER. I wish I could give this dress company zero stars. My initial interaction with this company was absolutely pleasant and I loved the atmosphere. Both women that assisted me in purchasing dresses were wonderful. Specifically Alexis, she has been an amazing help in selecting a dress all while navigating a neglectful manager. This is where my issue is. Starting after the purchase of my Maid of Honors dress, I never received a copy of my final contract, needed to pay for a rush on the dress and finally, being told a complete lie. I had reached out to find out the projected arrival date of my MOHs dress and was told May 31st, 2024 and when that day came and went with no dress, I had called the store and talked to Alexis. She had informed me that despite the rush fee, it would still take 6-8 weeks for my order to come in, for context, it was ordered April 23rd, 2024. It became abundantly clear that the manager who had lied to me about when the dress was to come in had no idea what she is doing. After June 18th passed (the 8 week mark), there was still no dress, I reached out via email and requested a refund of the full cost of the dress and the rush charge. The manager yet again responded to me and let me know that SHE WOULD SPEAK TO MANAGEMENT about refunding my money. How does a manager need to speak to herself about a refund?!?? Finally, when I had gone into the store today to talk to the manager, she had Alexis lie to me and tell me that my refund had been processed but she needed me to verify the last 4 digits of the cards used. Why would you need that information if my refund has been processed? Before I left the store, I had asked Alexis that the manager reach out to me before the end of the day and it’s now 6pm and I still have not heard a single thing from management.
Athena H — Google review
Alexis is amazing and so helpful and encouraging. She found the exact dress I wanted to try on and gave great advice on choosing the dress that worked right for my body type. I felt comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. Highly recommend this store, and Alexis in particular!

Attempted to schedulean appointment online but there were no available dates for a year. Called the store to book, they wouldn't allow me and said it was a technical error and they would call me back so I could schedule. Never got a call back so I called again and left a message and sent an email. I received an email response saying I needed to visit the DC location instead. My mom has cancer and dragging her to DC is not an option for me. I was supposed to get a call from the manager but that never happened. Disappointed.

What a gem! This little shop smelled deliciously exciting upon entering the door. I got a chance to smell the custom-made soaps. They all smelled amazing and true to their name. I liked the wide variety of soap options they offered but ultimately fell in love with Thrilla in vanilla, wine bar, and haulin oats. I also purchased the alpaca fiber wrapped soap which is basically a bar of soap that can also act as a loofah. This shop had several unique items and plenty of self-care products to include bath bombs, shaving butters, sugar scrubs and more. I loved all of the products but some of the prices did not fit into my budget. The interior of the building was very stylish and the staff was friendly. Street parking was limited but not totally impossible. I look forward to supporting this store in the future. Edit: I started using the wine bar. It smells amazing and feels amazing on my skin. The soap lathers nicely as well. I'm looking forward to using the other items in the near future.

So far, everything we've tried has been lovely. Special shout-out to the Essential Cream; *finally*, the perfect remedy for my winter hands! (And also every day of the year :-D) There are so many thoughtful and caring details woven throughout Mt. Royal Soaps' business practices, and their principles and community-mindedness are inspiring. Plus, even when an order went MIA, they were highly responsive and immediately replaced it - great customer care! I'm delighted to support them moving forward, and excited to try their workshops as well. The absolute icing on the MRS cake is that they have a couple of cats on staff - LOVE <3 Mt. Went here for the first time last year (2024) and the experience was fun! I ended up having my bridal shower held at the Baltimore location. They were communicative via email and reserved the space for us last Saturday morning (1/25/25). The entire process of making a candle is fun, creative, and smooth. The host will provide instruction and will give tips as well. My bridal party and I left to eat lunch somewhere else and came back to pick up our candles after 2 hours. If you've never tried making your own candle and you love candles, I definitely recommend trying it! It's a fun experience! The only thing I don't like about it is the parking. It can be hard to find parking especially since it is located in the city.

Ketsia E — Google review
This was my first time ever making a candle & I’m glad it was at Lumiere. First upon arrival it was kind of difficult finding parking because of where the location is so just be mindful of that. When you first arrive, the outside of the building is so pretty. You have to go down a few steps to enter the door & upstairs to get to the part of the building where you will be making candles. Once my boyfriend & I arrived we were greeted by our instructor. She was super friendly & informative. I was nervous because I am a WOC and there wasn’t anyone who looked like me but everyone was so nice. The jar the candles come in are a bit pricy but the price includes everything. The container, wax, scent, and colors of the candles. The inside of the building had such a warm energy so making the candles was so relaxing & also fast because the process of creating candles is faster than I thought it’d be. If you’re in Baltimore & you’ve never created your own candle(s) I definitely recommend you, & your friend(s), lover, or family try this specific place. Because of the time we arrived we had to wait until the next day to get our candles. And the outcome was amazing. I love the color & scent of my candle. I hope your experience is just as amazing as mine was. (For our two candles it came to around $67.)

What a great subtle place for a date or group event. The process of making the candle was nice, it moved a bit fast but that make sense once you understand the process. I would definitely have another date here or maybe hold a client appreciation event here. Glad I found this studio.

I found this place online as I was looking for something romantic to do with the hubby. Such a great experience! They were very nice ladies, who was very patient and sweet. We will be back to do this again!

i had so much fun here! it had been a while since i had made a candle but they walked me through all the steps (very straightforward). i picked out three scents, the color i wanted the candle to be, and the jar. i got to mix together the scents exactly like i wanted them to smell and pour in the candle wax. loved the experience and will visit again.

great vibes and music. would probably be better with a larger group (i only visited with 1 person) they give you total control over your candle making even down to the color of your candle & the jar it’s made in. would probably go back

Charlotte Elliott is a two-story treasure trove filled with antiques, vintage goods, and an impressive array of used books. The store offers ornate furnishings, sterling silver cutlery, ancient pottery, ceremonial artifacts, and a vintage clothing collection. The aptly-named Bookstore Next Door features historic texts and stationary. Visitors praise the owner's kindness and willingness to open the store after closing hours for browsing.
Such a wonderful find on W 36th Street! Chana, Fred and Charlotte are a delight to speak with and have a wonderful eye for all of the items in their shop! My personal favourite is the jewellery section, which Chana looks after, and I found a gorgeous silver bracelet to take back with me as a memento of visiting Baltimore! (I had to refrain from buying up loads of books in the bookshop as I wouldn’t be able to lug them in my suitcase but I can confirm they have a lovely variety!) Definitely not a store to be missed and I would recommend this store for history aficionados and fashion lovers! Thank you for making the buying experience a fun one! Best wishes, Emma

So Many floors of vintage finds! Books, clothes, housewares… and when you think you’ve seen it all there’s another mini flight of stairs to another level. You have to be patient and soft a bit, but if you love hats don’t miss the lowest level- there’s even a dressing room to try things on

Different regard is outstanding! I came in a month before my wedding and they custom tailored a suit for me in a few short weeks, designed and made locally here in Baltimore. There was plenty of time for fitting and last minute details before the wedding. With all the chaos of planning a wedding, they were a bright spot of tranquility. The service is warm, friendly and outstanding. The quality is amazing. The style is the highest level. So many compliments on the suit at the wedding. This is my clothing store from now on!

Best experience I have had with getting a custom suit made. Steven and Dominic are fantastic with every aspect of the process, from consultation to design to creating. I definitely highly recommend DifferentRegard and they will be the only ones I go to from now on.

OMG we are so excited to have met Steve and Dominick. My husband and I spent more than 2 hours with them yesterday, designing a bespoke tuxedo and a dress to wear at a black-tie optional wedding. We CANNOT wait for the finished items! They pulled our ideas from our heads and knew what would work. Run, don't walk, to meet these guys at their beautiful showroom in Mt. Vernon. The have gorgeous off the rack clothing and can probably design any item of clothing you have in mind.

DR was recommended to me by a friend in Baltimore, and I am so glad they were. Steven and his team were beyond incredible to work alongside. I was able to pick out every aspect of my suit for my wedding day, and it looked spectacular. Being new to the full custom suit process, Steven was super patient and very informative as we worked through everything. I cannot recommend DR enough and am so glad that I trusted them with my bid day!

My son who lives in CA, I live in Baltimore, sent me a gift certificate to Different Regard. He had never been there but when he did his online search and called he was very impressed with the professional response and warm welcome he received from Steven. Dominick actually brought the gift certificate, gift wrapped, and delivered it to my home attached to the front door, all the way to Sparks MD, north Baltimore County. No one was home. My experience couldn't have been better. I selected an off the rack sports jacket which was custom tailored for me and purchased another custom made sports jacket. The fit was excellent and the price and value were just what I needed for a guy who never gets custom fitted clothing, a pleasant surprise. I picked them both up today and couldn't be happier. I would recommend this shop to any of my friends and family and will do that. Even though downtown, parking was no problem with metered parking right in front and plenty of spaces during my two visits. Dominick and Steven are pros and very warm and welcoming. Check them out, you'll be glad you did.

I was recommended different regard by a friend several years ago when I lived in Baltimore. Though I have since moved away they remain my go to place for perfectly fitted suits. When I needed a suit for a wedding recently, I came through when I was in town a couple times and was thrilled with the product. Dominick, Steven, and the entire staff's warmth, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail makes for a superior experience.

Nathalie and her niece (Anita) are just among the kindest, professional, and lovely ladies. I initially was going to my pre-made appointment at Bella Bridesmaid’s Baltimore shop only to be turned down by the Elite’s Bridal owner (who is also the manager of Bella) after phone calls and emails with no notification that this store doesn’t do wedding gowns measurements (“her staff is not trained to do meticulate measurements”). I walked past Nathalie’s shop and thought to just drop by and explain my situation of being let down by Bella, and immediately she said she will help me. She did above and beyond with precise details. Grateful that one (shop) door closed and the other much kinder one opens. Thank you Nathalie and Anita!

Was very disappointed in their return policy. I live out of state and had my return postmarked before the 7 days and was not offered a refund, but was offer an exchange. Needless to say I was upset. The owner said I was using foul language and highly irate. Yes, I was mad I did say just send the damn thing dress back. That was about the extent of that. Also, was stated to me YOU must not be a accustomed to reading return policies. So, insulting, especially when I went back to my receipt and there is NOTHING on the receipt that states return policies. However if you dig through the website it is on there. Regardless it was post marked in a timely manner. They said they would try to accomodate me by sending pictures of other dresses, which they did not. Upon calling I said I would like the dress returned to me. I called again, and now they won't even answer my call, clearly noting the incoming number. Received the dress back in the mail today and the box wasn't even taped shut. Thankfully it was still in there. Horrible customer service skills and horribly handled. Hopefully people will not use this online store because it is a disgrace to people that do care about their customers and run a legit online store.

Get Shredded Vintage, located in Baltimore, is a carefully curated store owned by Sara Autrey. The shop challenges fashion norms by breathing new life into old pieces and creating looks that transcend current trends. While the store's location may not be on the main shopping street, it offers a small but highly curated selection of vintage and retro pieces. Customers can also explore additional items on their Etsy shop. Visitors can expect an amazing experience with excellent customer service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Wonderful shop with a great selection of accessible vintage clothing. Well stocked from all decades, my favorite the 50s and 60s. More deadstock than an average vintage store for sure. Customer service was fantastic. I first saw Get Shredded at the Baltimore Vintage Expo. The owner remembered me. She also helped me decide between a couple of jackets, even with a busy shop. Offering advice and making sure I had the item I really wanted. So happy with my purchase AND the experience. I will be back for sure.

My 16 year old daughter loves 60 70’s vintage fashion so, we set out to find vintage shops in Maryland. Get Shredded Vintage was our first stop. My daughter was so happy with the selection and the items she found in her size. If that wasn’t enough we got a bonus, we met Sarah. She is an Amazing person. Sarah made the experience wonderful for my daughter and I. My daughter smiled the entire time we were in her store. Can’t wait to go back!!!!

So, my daughter is into vintage and retro and we've been having so much fun checking out places..... until the Shredded Vintage store in Baltimore.... then it became DOUBLE THE FUN! First, let me tell you that this store isn't in the same area as all other stores in the Hampden's main shopping street so you need to be mindful of going there to check it out. Second, it is a small, highly curated selection. They would have other pieces in their Etsy shop so do check that out as well. Third, the lady who is there on weekends is a total gem. I am so bad, I have had many conversations with her but failed to get her name. She is very friendly, patient, and just overall helpful if you had any questions about the pieces (and the decor and what-have-you). I love that this shop feels like the dressing room that you would have if you have space at home - just racks full of vintage and retro goodies - and again, curated. Are they cheap? No. But they are a great selection and some pieces are also handmade! We always get something here - one of the "best buys" was a reversible raincoat (yellow on one side and brown on the other) that is just so classically wonderful. And the pothos plants are amazingly crazy...... trailing all over the fitting rooms :).

I go to a lot of vintage/secondhand stores and there’s two types of them: ones that curate their stuff and really care for fashion from the day before, and ones that just hopped on the bandwagon and source awful quality items. This place was the former. The owner really cares for those items and who will get them, even has a bit more in depth descriptions on the clothes. I found another shop in Baltimore to peruse ✨ also compared to other places, their prices are more reasonable than some of the other stores down the street

Absolutely an amazing experience. From the fine dining to the amazing customer service. Even with a palate as refined as mine I absolutely savoured their trademark Get Shredded Corn Dogs. From the perfectly crunchy texture to the soft and chewy inside. The seasoning was also balanced at the perfect ratio. Everything from the presentation to the delivery of it was great. Their hospitality was also quite welcoming. The atmosphere in their was almost like home, in fact so welcoming I actually felt comfortable sleeping in the floor. The wine they had served was so good it was like it was made from the hands of Dionysus himself. Overall my experience was very very satisfying and I would absolutely recommend this to anybody visiting america and even more so baltimore. Oh and their clothes are also good I guess.

Gian Marco Menswear is a sophisticated haberdashery offering a range of high-end European menswear, footwear, and accessories. Customers praise the attentive service and skilled in-house tailor known as "The Professor." The store provides a quiet and comfortable atmosphere where visitors feel welcomed regardless of their attire or intention to make a purchase. The staff is described as friendly and accommodating, with no pressure to buy.
Rocky was the best! I didn't buy a single thing. I wasn't dressed the part. I wasn't asked to try anything on. I was welcomed. I shared that I was just there to look around because I always pass the shop during my evening commute. He didn't treat me like I was a buyer and didn't treat me like a person just window shopping. This brother treated me like a human being. Simple. No script. Sometimes its not the what you have in your store, it's who you have. People will always remember how you make them feel and Rocky made me feel like a person. Fine clothing has always been a dream of mine, never a reality. One day, God-willing, I'll be back, and I'll make my dream a reality. Regarding the what they carry, you have to visit and see for yourself. It's worth it. Don't put Gian Marco in the same category of department or chain stores. If you want to look, dress, and feel unique, and not look like everybody else, Gian Marco should be at the top of list of places to upgrade your wardrobe.

Fine menswear. If you need a stylish classic suit or casual dress wear, this is the place. Old school service. Modern and classic menswear.
Christy F — Google review
I am livid. The owners of this establishment are offensive and their merchandise is overpriced. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE! Yesterday I brought my 14 year old nephew there. I wanted to buy him a nice suit for church. As we were looking around a salesman comes up to us and even though I said we were fine, he kept on pushing very expensive suits. I was a little annoyed but thought to myself, "this is going to be the suit he wears for every important event in addition to church for the next 2 years at least, maybe I should splurge." We picked out a very expensive suit. As we walked over to the mirrors to be measured the salesman was rattling off 3 or 4 additional charges that were going to be added to the bill. I dont normally buy mens suits, but these fees did not seem normal to me. A cleaning fee for post alterations? I have never heard of such a thing. A handling fee because the tailor is at another location? But that wasnt even the worst part. As the salesman started to measure my nephew the owners walked in. They came over to us, went directly to my nephew and to my absolute shock, started laughing at him. They were making awful comments about his weight. Saying they could each fit into a leg of his pants. They even called over another salesperson to show him how hilarious they found my nephew. I was literally standing there in shock until I looked back at my nephew and saw tears start to build in his eyes, and the saddest expression i had ever seen on his face. I snapped out of it, grabbed him and left. He sat silently the entire ride home, obviously traumatized from the experience. Do not go to this store, especially if you or anyone you know is on the chunky side. Not unless you want to be humiliated. Additionally, thank goodness we left because if we hadnt we would have been ripped off. While telling this story to a friend, I showed him a picture of the suit we were going to buy. He told me it was priced at least 30% more than normal retail pricing. I looked online and it was true. I found the same suit for more than half the price they were going to charge. He also told me there should be NO fees beyond possible alteration charges. Not a cleaning fee or a handing fee or any at all. Total con men.
Amanda H — Google review
Cheap clothing passed off as high end. I found the owners to be dishonest and disrespectful. Is a bit of civility too much to ask these days? Perhaps when dealing with people you should consider the old adage, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" .
Jenny M — Google review
Walked in there in a sweaty, stretched out t-shirt and they still treated me like I was there to buy an expensive suit (which I was and I did). The in-house tailor ("The Professor") made the alterations that day and I came back three hours later to pick it up. I'm really happy with my suit (and a few other items I grabbed when I came back). Everything in that store just feels so soft and looks so good. It was a really quiet, comfortable atmosphere in there.

Store was super cute ,there was nice things to choose from. And cute backdrops. Was just slightly disappointed with the customer service so taking away one star. I think owner was just having an off day. Or was a little frazzled by the order she was getting ready? Employees seemed a little annoyed with kids acting like kids in a candy store? Like when they were playing with the basket ball set and the swing kids felt like they weren't supposed to or was in trouble for having fun? Went in there for my 11 yr old special day because she requested it. I told her she could get what she wanted . She was geeked because usually it's like just one or two things etc.however 11 yr old said she felt like they didn't want her there because 1. No one greeted us when we came in, but they greeted the group behind us with a pleasant hello. 2. my 11 yr old accidently dropped a lollipop she wanted to gift to her sister (so she wouldn't feel left out because I was getting her things) and was told she needed to pay for it (which we were anyway) so she was a little upset because there were ppl there in the store also dropping the lollipops and putting them back but she felt singled out . And I didn't understand why it was only us who were told this and not those putting them back.i pointed out that some were already broken she seemed a bit annoyed that I said something about it. If a place is presented as child friendly especially at a candy store, I think things like accidentle drops are kind of expected. I'm not one for "entitled " sounding children it was the fact that when we left she just said she felt like she was unwelcome ,was being watched like she might steal something etc and that just didn't sit well with me .However every one has an off day and I'm thinking maybe this might have just been an off one.

The shop was so adorable looking and the selection of candy was great! They had candies I'd been looking for everywhere, and some that I hadn't seen in years, like the pucker up machine! The workers were also super sweet and friendly! It is absolutely worth the visit!
Lilith M — Google review
I love this place, the ladies that work there are so sweet, everything there is really cute. So many photo ops, and before labor day they were giving out school supplies and hotdogs to children. Amazing place for the community. Please support them so they will be around for a long time!
Kemet M — Google review
Very very pleasant staff. Clean and neat establishment, new and old candy to choose from the possibilities are endless, brought back so many childhood memories, I needed some last minute party supplies and they saved the day..Thank you oh so sweet.

Antique store
Antique Row is a store full of antique furniture, pottery, glassware and other collectibles from the 1700s 1800s and early 2000's. The store has a large selection of antiques from all over the world, as well as locally written books from the Civil War era. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, making it an excellent place to find collectible items. However, children are not recommended due to the high cost of some items in the store.
Wonderful selection of primarily 1700, 1800 early 2000's items. Many unique items. No reptoductions. Primarily Asian, American (with some emphasis on Baltimore related) and British antiquities. Large selection of antique books. Locally written Civil War books of very high historical value. Expensive. Worth it if you can afford it and you have an interest in antiques and antiquities. Knoledgeable and helpful owner and staff. Bringing children is not a good idea.
MAZELDIGH K — Google review
They were very kind and informative. I had gone to the Baltimore Antique & Jewelry & Art Show at the Convention Center. Many BEAUTIFUL things. But I thought, I'll spend my money in a locally owned BALTIMORE ANTIQUE STORE instead! I'm glad I did! I found these two Unique pieces there. A cast iron, ca. 1880-1890 Aunt Jemima bank with a " Don't F--- with me" Attitude on her face. And an English Molasses print, ca. 1805, of "Africa-America". Very Cool. After I got home I looked up my purchases on line and discovered that I paid WAY TOO MUCH for both. I still Love Them, but I would suggest researching on your phone BEFORE buying. You would be empowered to haggle/barter a better price. It was a good learning experience. I'll know better next time. And they REALLY do have some Lovely Antiques!
Beth T — Google review
Pretty stuffy and expensive. If you are looking for very high end antiques this place might be for you but it is not as much for the casual antique browser. Also it was kind of odd, they have to buzz you into the store, it’s not unlocked. Never have had this experience.
Kathleen D — Google review
Can't rate on the quality of the shop, the store front was closed and the building was totally empty. Building was listed for sale and last sold mid August 2021.
