Park
Gooseberry Mound Park is a serene and family-friendly park located in Fargo, offering a variety of activities for visitors of all ages. The park features picnic shelters, playgrounds for kids, walking trails along the river, and even areas for cross-country skiing. Despite being situated in the heart of the city, the mature trees provide ample shade and create a peaceful atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy amenities such as sand volleyball courts, paved bike paths, and an amphitheater.
Awesome trails and park amenities. Shelters for rent and a cool little playground for the kids. Nice place to go relax over a lunch break from work or a picnic. Trails get muddy after it rains so be careful. there is wildlife here so chances of seeing deer or other animals is high. Pretty in the different seasons, even winter!

Loved this place! So serene and relaxing. Making this place one of my favorite go-to's.
Curt J — Google review
Great place to visit and hang out. We stopped here for out of town to take our dog for a walk. It was quite busy here during the time we went, but we had the paved path mostly to ourselves. The bridge was cool, but unfortunately it's not usable. Overall, we really enjoyed it here and would come again.
Beau — Google review
A large shaded playground, walking trails by the water, sand volleyball court, and lots of open space. Lots of runners and dog walkers here. The mature trees mean lots of shade and you totally forget that you’re in the middle of town. Our kids love this playground. We discover something new each time, and it is mostly well maintained. I would love to see a remodel some day that includes more accessible options, similar to the park in West Fargo. There’s plenty of space here for it!
Kathleen T — Google review
It was my first time. I walked the dogs but did not find it particularly interesting. I noticed that people need to do a better job of picking up after their dogs along the sidewalk. It would be nice to have a trail that goes around the park instead of having to return on the same path.
Fernando Q — Google review
Fun park for the kids. Beautiful trees and open spaces with a parking lot. Easy access from I94 for a quick stop for kids to run some energy off if you are on a road trip. The kids loved racing to be first out of the maze.
Suzy B — Google review
Always a clean fun place for all ages .great family place . A place to bring your kiddos for a day or even just to wind down at the end of the day. Also very pet friendly and I don't have pets. Always clean. So much to do in one place. My kiddos have made so many friends just here alone and I myself have made a few !

Great park for biking, hiking, kayaking, really anything outdoor. Hidden just off the highway. Worth the visit.

Trefoil Park is a charming wooded area located along the Red River, offering a paved walking path and various amenities such as picnic tables, grills, and fishing spots. Visitors can also enjoy recreational trails and a flying field for planes. The park is popular for fishing, with access to ancient dam remnants on both sides of the river.
Nice river with lots of little places to get off the path and fish. I didn't have any luck that trip, but couldn't stay very long. Going back today and tomorrow, can't wait
Thomas Z — Google review
We went there in the evening. I could feel the fresh air and hear the sound of flowing water in the river. Trees of different species dancing with the breeze and squirrels playing and feeding .,.. people are either running, walking or cycling around.... Quite a pleasant park 🙂
Samjhana L — Google review
I Absolutely love Trefoil Park just across from El Zagel golf course. In summer and fall l go there every day for my walking. Small beautiful peaceful park, ans picnic tables

Neng E — Google review
A very nice park for a walk, no bugs!! We saw a lot of people fishing too. A few people walking their beautiful fur babies. It would be great if there were more garbage cans. We did see a lot of garbage scattered about. Be careful of people riding those recumbent bikes! Yikes! They give no quarter. We must have missed the signs that say they own the walkway.😁 But yes, it's a nice park!

Rabanus Park is a versatile playground near the West Acres Mall in Fargo. It features structures suitable for children of all ages and abilities, making it an ideal spot for families. The park offers ample space for various activities, including volleyball with well-maintained courts and picnic shelters. While there's limited shade, the sheltered picnic area provides a great spot for a road trip lunch. Additionally, the park is adjacent to the YMCA, allowing easy access to facilities like restrooms.
The sand volleyball courts are great! There are many courts that are well maintained and high quality. Come here every week with my club. I recommend this park for anyone who loves volleyball.
Tre N — Google review
We went there to do some volunteer clean up. I was impressed with the space that place had.
Cyrus G — Google review
Ok I didn't get any photos of what is actually a really great park! Two large play structures one geared for younger kids and one for older. A rock wall. Swings. And this super fun zip line!! Not sure I'd there are any washrooms.
Helena N — Google review
Took my puppies for their daily walk here. Pretty nice, clean, quiet, and green! I toured the whole grounds, there is the area north of YMCA and south or west really. We were there later in the evening so maybe that's why it was so quiet.

Most of the trails are nestled among trees, offering occasional glimpses of the stunning Red River of the North. Additionally, visitors can enjoy disc golf and scenic river trails here.

Nestled along the scenic banks of the Red River, Lindenwood Park stands out as Fargo's largest multi-use park, offering a delightful escape for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. This expansive green space is not only home to beautifully landscaped campgrounds but also features an inclusive playground designed for children of all abilities. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including bike and kayak rentals that allow you to explore the park’s extensive trails or launch onto the river itself.
This is a great campground right next to the Red River. The space is a bit uneven, but once you get your camper leveled, it's great! Cool breeze, beautiful views of the river, lots of family time! I will definitely camp here again!

Our fresh tank sensor stopped working and we ran our of water. Lindenwood Park Campground graciously allowed us to fill up The campground is right on the river.Plenty of open space. And it is near the biggest playground I have ever seen. Next time in MN we are staying there.
Pat C — Google review
Very beautiful place, we stayed in the RV and the RV park is just a portion of this park embedded in a city on the river with amazing views. The young man in the office was great, smiling and helpful, thanks for the sticker. Everything you need is here. They have baseball fields.
Robert M — Google review
Absolutely beautiful park. Red river winds thru. Flower gardens are stunning. Roger Maris history if baseball fan. Showers and bath house clean. A little noisy from playground and big bingo event. 5 big rigs couldn't figure out how to park and left. Seemed inexperienced.
Cindra D — Google review
We camped here for 2 nights in June 2025 and it was safe and convenient. The park staff was helpful and kind. Hot showers in a modern bathhouse. There was trash and broken glass in our campsite when we arrived and the freeway noise is loud. We will stay again when we visit Fargo. The bike rentals were a hoot and reasonably priced.
Jill W — Google review
We found this park to be perfectly safe! We didn’t see one vagrant or excessive traffic during our stay. Reservation was easy using the number provided and check-in was professional and efficient. We stayed in A-5. Sites are a little tight but accommodated our 35’ Class A fine. Utilities worked great. Minimal road noise due to number of mature trees. Park is beautiful with walking paths, bike rental, playground, a river and lots of green space. Very convenient and easy on/off I-94. Good signage. Would definitely stay again.
Susie S — Google review
This is the best park in the area for sure! Lots of grassy areas, walking trails nearby, other facilities for adults, a river with a cool bridge. Playground area was awesome. Whoever designed this park knew what kids need, how they think, and parental safety concerns. The entire structure was lower to the ground than usual with tons of entry/exit points that encourage climbing, crawling, balancing, scaling ect...once on the structure there are bridges, tunnels, ladders, and tons of slides! I think there were 8 slides in total!! A few smaller slides for toddlers and several larger ones. Everything was safe, sturdy, and clean.
Hannah W — Google review
We took a 4 miles walk on the trail next to the river. Very nice hike. There’s a campground too, I wish I had known about this.

Broadway Square in Downtown Fargo is a vibrant meeting space that hosts various events and attractions throughout the year. In winter, visitors can enjoy the SCHEELS Skating Rink, while in summer, it transforms into a cozy turf area. The square is surrounded by top-notch restaurants, shops, and entertainment options. It's an ideal spot for community gatherings and offers amenities like splash fountains for hot days and shaded seating areas.
Broadway Square has proven to be one of the coolest spot to be in Fargo. Many big events are held here, and in warmer weather you can just come and chill with friends or family. Kids like the splash pad and the red chair thingy. Lots of tables and chairs for the public to use. In winter they convert it to an ice rink, free! When it's late in the evening, this area is still lit and I do feel safer hanging out here than some other parts of downtown. I'm so glad we have a place like this in downtown Fargo!
Shanshan R — Google review
Fun public space and even antique couches out tonight. Halloween 🎃 celebration and a movie. I stopped by briefly but now am at coffee shop across street. Love having Broadway Square as such a positive space. Good vibes downtown Fargo.
Colette E — Google review
Stopped by this area during a trip to Fargo. It is a very nice, open air area with splash fountains for hot days, multiple areas to sit, and a stage area for events. Many of the places to sit have shade available too. There are many restaurants and shops located in the surrounding areas and they are all easy to walk to from the square and it seems it is centrally located downtown so if you are visiting a hotel in the area would be a good stay. The reason I took off a star? There was not much parking available from what I could see. We spent an extra 10 minutes driving to find a spot. Perhaps there is some extra, non-street parking available but I did not see it and the signage for it seemed non-existent. Other than that, great area to hang out and explore downtown Fargo.
Jackie D — Google review
This is the newest addition to the Fargo downtown area. It has instantly become a hangout spot for locals on lunch breaks, young adults hang out spot for reading and catching up, and the water pad feature brings local families out with kids, so it’s the perfect spot to go and people watch. It’s relatively quiet for such a busy spot too! Ice cream, sushi, poke, noodles, Insomnia Cookies, are all within walking distance. Pizza too! I think this is definitely the best part of downtown now, and we truly love going!
Elma I — Google review
Fun spot to hang out when visiting downtown. The area hosts a lot of events like Red River Farmers Market, but its great place to also visit to people watch, let kids play in the fountains, and take a break. In the winter it becomes a great skating rink.
Mike Z — Google review
This is a very inviting space with ample seating. Kids will have fun running around on the astroturf. A great place to meet new people!
Thomas O — Google review
Broadway Square update, June 2021 Now a green turf park where kids (and adults) can roll around on red chairs, or sit and relax on this bustling corner on Broadway, which is great for people watching. There are coffee shops and restaurants all around so take your coffee and enjoy the view

Was a beautiful place to hold my daughter's wedding. Shelter 2 was the perfect size for the reception and loved the serving bar for us to serve the food from. We sat some chairs up in the yard next to it and had a beautiful sunny day for the wedding. Thank you for this very well maintained park.

Great park that had access to some great hiking trails! One nice thing is that there is relatively easy parking in the park and a lot of space for picnics! They also have a lot of frisbee golf places! Like any park, would probably not go there at night. Lol lots of people walking their dogs!

Oak Grove Park is such a hidden gem and one of my favorite places to be when im in town. The scenery is beautiful with peaceful walking trails surrounded by trees, plenty of open green space, and spots where you can just sit back and enjoy nature. Trollwood Park is a delightful 28-acre oasis that offers a perfect blend of nature and recreation. The park features a lovely grove of bur oak trees and paved walking paths that meander through its lush landscape, making it great for leisurely strolls or birdwatching during migration seasons.
This is a great park to walk around if you are in the area. Nice walking paths near the river with lots of great views. I plan on coming here again but after sunset so I can see the ghost activities.

It's a decent park. There is an 18 hole disc golf course on site as well as a playground. Most of the park is exactly like the rest of Fargo parks, low-lying areas prone to flooding. The Red River Trail is nearby and a fun, short trail.
Eric S — Google review
While this park is toddler friendly, the equipment is on the older side, and it's close to the parking lot. There is a nice large covered pavilion for events. Overall, the park is nothing terribly special. Just 3 stars for me.

11Brandt Crossing Park

City park
Brandt Crossing Park & Dog Park is a popular spot with various amenities including a basketball court, playground, and recreational trails. The dog park features separate areas for large and small dogs, each gated with garbage cans and poop stations available. While there are picnic benches, visitors should bring their own water as there are no fountains on site. The park is well-frequented and known for its friendly atmosphere, making it an enjoyable destination for both dogs and their owners.
My little ones always have fun here. This seems to be one of the more active dog parks around. They have poop stations. Just remember to bring some water for your pup as they don't have any fountains. They have picnic benches but nothing to shade you from the sun. Just a decent size fenced(4ft) in area. The small side has some agility equipment.
Harvey M — Google review
Nice park. The people are kind of stupid at dog parks. They like to huddle together and then the dogs all huddle around there of course. Seems common sense to walk around and put your phone away for an hour a day at the very least. Dogs get huddled and then they eventually growl and some fight etc. It's never the dog.. it's the owners. Walk around and let the dogs roam instead of huddling together.
J H — Google review
Overall, this is a functional dog park with some good features, though it lacks natural amenities. It's a decent option for getting your dog exercise, but be prepared for certain conditions. The Good: - A major positive is the clear separation into two distinct areas: one for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. This helps ensure safer play. - Dog poop bags are usually well-stocked, which is always appreciated. - There's a large light fixture that effectively illuminates both sides of the park, making evening visits possible. Areas for Improvement: - The park is quite barren, with very little grass. The ground is mostly bare dirt, which can get dusty or muddy depending on the weather. - There are no trees, meaning there's absolutely no shade from the sun or protection from the wind. - Crucially, I could not find any water source or spigot, which is a significant drawback, especially during warmer months when dogs need hydration. Bring your own water! Important Note: - The large park light needs to be turned on manually; it does not operate automatically. Additional Observation: - While not a reflection of the park itself, some of the dogs (and their owners) that frequent the park could benefit from additional training and attention to park etiquette. Conclusion: This park serves its purpose for off-leash exercise and the divided sections are a plus. However, the lack of shade, water, and green space means it's less comfortable for extended stays, particularly in hot or sunny weather and the lack of wind protection means it's less comfortable in the winter as well
Glenn S — Google review
Very good dog park. Clean. Has poop bags. My corgi Bonkers found some new friends. Definitely will come back again.
Siewchung W — Google review
There’s a lot of room for the dogs to run. But watch their paws. I know several people whose dogs have come home with paw pad injuries (multiple times, only after being at this dog park). A piece of paw pad ripped off. And this just happened to my dog as well for the first time here. He’s watched closely, and nothing happened, so I’m not sure what it is about this park area, but he started showing signs of pain as soon as we got back into the car. Again, I’m not sure what it is about the ground in this park just wanted to give people a heads up.

This dog park is really geared toward bigger dog, huge area for them to run, picnic tables, bench, and a small shelter. Small dogs area is very small, 2 picnic tables. Besides cutting the area it looks like no upkeep.

Orchard Glen Park is a hidden gem that offers a unique experience for families and nature lovers alike. Nestled along the banks of the Red River in Fargo, this ecological park features stunning trails that wind through lush forests and open skies. While it lacks traditional playgrounds, visitors can enjoy birdwatching and spot various wildlife in their natural habitat. One of the park's highlights is its old orchard, where seasonal fruit picking is available at no cost—just be mindful to share with fellow visitors!
Orchard Glen Park is located beside the red river that is on the border of North Dakota and Minnesota. And the spring day or chart blooms in fragrant flowers, and in fall season it has beautiful colors. The walking trail moves along the river forest and has magnificent views of the river and the river bank. the winding river offers many opportunities to see the landscape from different viewpoints

Very nice park, very quiet, shady and quite a bit of wildlife. Early morning you can usually see deer, wild turkeys, frogs. Squirrels and sometimes a few snakes.
Bdgoebel — Google review
Was a nice little trail loop through the woods along the river with portions of it under the open sky. Didn't go have any but the apple trees are cool and hopefully too many people don't show up to fill multiple bags with apples and in doing so keep others from also being able to enjoy them while out for a walk. I did it for an exercise walk so did not walk too much around the middle where all the apples trees were but looked like it would be a nice place to go relax in the sun. The bugs weren't bad at all while I was out even in the woods. Will definitely go out there again for some nice quick hikes without needing to go too far from town.

First time visiting this park. Nice trail along the Red River. A lot of dead trees laying around, not sure if its from the flooding? Was a beautiful day to visit and the trail was a loop so you can’t get lost. Nice length of trail. People out biking, too. Will go again when the weather warms up.

Beautiful ecological park on an oxbow bend of the Red River on the south end of Fargo. An old orchard makes up some of the park but the vast majority of the park is being restored back to its native vegetation. A large riparian forest is found along the banks of the Red River. A beautiful unpaved trail takes you through the forest. A paved trail allows you to see the old orchard that was is found on the higher elevation and center of the park.

The place is filled with mosquitos, apart from that it is a place to go with your family and have some free apples ;)

Osgood Golf Course is situated in the northwestern part of Fargo, offering a range of outdoor recreational activities. The course features a 9-hole layout with a par 33, complemented by a practice facility and simulators for events. The terrain includes moguls, grass and sand traps, as well as ponds, while the open layout provides a forgiving experience. Additionally, it boasts the largest practice driving range in the area along with a decent putting green and spacious chipping area.
Definitely the best public golf course in Fargo Driving Range is great , course is very fun, greens role smoothly, food is to die for, staff is super nice, great pro shop with lots of selection, the three hole loop is great considering it’s only six dollars, love the practice greens never seen a practice green with a bunker.

Excellent Golf Course for a quick nine holes. Even went busy you can finish around 2 hours or 1.5 hours when not busy. Lots of Wildlife and challenging and good greens and course. And affordable!
Peter E — Google review
Great 9 hole course. *Edit while golfing on Sunday the Marshall harassed us on hole 5. He said the group ahead of us was 2 holes ahead which seemed interesting considering we waited for people on the following hole. The people behind us barely ever waited. I understand keeping play moving but harassing someone trying to have a fun mother's day is kind of ridiculous. I thought public courses were for people of all stages of talent to come have fun. Zero stars for that guy.
Andrew R — Google review
It has been a couple years since I played Osgood Golf Course. It is a quirky course with lots of hills. Multiple greens with two tiers and very firm. I hit many approach shots that hit the greens and bounced high in the air and ended up over the green. I really dislike being penalized for hitting a good shot. Tees and fairways were generally in good shape. This is a course to play with your family when you don't care about your score. Pro shop staff nice and friendly and clubhouse has a nice bar/restaurant area to relax in when you finish your round.
Larry S — Google review
Nice golf course. Only par 33. Some tough par 3s and a good amount of slope. Nice practice green as well. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the restaurant service is not good. Nice people, but slow service. Time and time again

The park also offers amenities such as multiple bathrooms, including a family bathroom, and a ninja course for older kids. In addition to its inclusive design, it provides activities like sledding in winter and rolling down the hill in summer.
Amazing! Love this park! Great rubberized surfacing instead of sand or wood chips. Adaptable playground for wheelchairs. A few different playgrounds built for toddlers/little kids and one for older kids! Lots of cool play structures I wish we had when I was a kid! But fun to enjoy with my own child now. We only hung out at the playground. This entire park has a lot to offer! It was nice to have bathrooms readily available to use as well!
Sarah L — Google review
This park sets the standard for community and inclusion. Our family loved visiting this park. I love how accessible and inclusive some of the activities are for community members with disabilities—the zip line, swings, merry go round, etc. The kids loved the zip line, the spinning thing, and the ninja warrior course. Our 18 month old appreciates the rubber ground for all of the crashing and burning off the slides. The playground is huge and there is plenty of parking. Lots of activities throughout the park including a board of emotions. The bathroom facilities are brand new as well. 10 out of 10, we will visit again!

New management since the last time I've visited. Is a nice place to relax and enjoy a splash of nature without going too far out of town. Has a small trail, wildflowers, and a miniature colloseum-themed theatre.
Helm D — Google review
This is one of the places I go to take quiet walks. There's good paths for biking and in the winter, sking and snow shoeing. For frisbee golf folks, there's nets. You'll find plenty of trees filled with squirrels during the warmer times of year, deer as well and some birds. The river is nice to walk alongside of course, then there's also buried history here! Cars and house foundations buried over time are noticeable, visible as they are not fully covered. Go here for a short walk at least once, you may like it.
James L — Google review
The best memories are those stumbled upon by accident! Just like the discovery of this bike path/ park for me and my lovely momma. We went on an evening cruise and decided to try and explore a little bit, and ended up at Lions Conservancy Park, which is only a mile or two from our neighborhood. What I didn’t realize about this park, though, is that they have some amazing mountain biking paths. It was so much fun! Lions Conservancy backs up to the Red River, and the bike path goes right along the river so it’s hilly and woody and so cool. There’s another path on the other side of the river in nearby Iwen park. The path is also super user friendly. At the beginning there’s a map of it, and even a QR code you can scan to access the map electronically, and boy is it helpful. There’s also constant markers on the path so you know you’re still going the right way. For those who are more seasoned with mountain biking (ie: not me), there’s some built in jumps and fun challenges. I stayed way clear of those, because just trying to make it along the path was plenty enough for me. It’s about a mile total and it really gets you sweating. So besides the beautiful paths, there’s really not a lot more to Lions Conservancy. You can sort of see the river from the parking lot. You can’t walk far without being swarmed by bugs and other. But what a beautiful and delightful little path! Certainly not for the faint of heart but all the better when you complete it!

We attended a graduation reception at FCC and I have to say it was a very classy experience. The room was large with a lot of windows, the food was excellent, I especially liked the coleslaw which was very creamy and delicious, also the Brie dip and the pulled pork sliders. The chocolate marble cake was so good I could have eaten much more than I did. The wait staff also were very professional. The food items were continually refilled and dirty dishes were removed promptly and replaced with newly cleaned dishes etc. If I was planning a high class gathering it would be at the Fargo Country Club

Bar and Grill manager was rude by coaching staff member in front of guests who she had take orders and served us whom was not members of the club. We didn't know it was members only and apparently his staff did not either. His unprofessionalism offended us and we felt very discriminated. Our plans was to have a couple drinks before heading to the wedding reception down the hall. The order took almost hour to get for fried finger food and the soup never came. We paid with good tip, left and waitress delivered the soup at the reception. Advised you to revisit your Onboarding process immediately.

A really "wild" park... LoL! We saw train, flowers, 'wild' trails down to the stream! Our baby liked the stones very much, we had tough time to bring back him from the stones 🤣 Friendly people were planting flower plants or something like that. Last year we saw deer there. But this year we saw only squirrels. If there were children play scape, it would be a COMPLETE Park! But still we loved it.

This is a great little park. There is a nice trail between the park and the river. The playground has a big kid area and a toddler area. There is a gazebo with picnic tables, and a couple benches. The park has a large lawn area between the playground and adjacent apartment buildings. There is a small parking lot with off-street parking, and the park is tucked back in mostly away from the very busy roads (you can't see much traffic from University). It's not the newest or in the best shape, but it is a nice place to hang out and play.

Great park if you're looking for a playground for kids, or a hike! To access the trail to the river, just go up the hill behind the warming house and playground to the old road/service road. This state-of-the-art facility will offer a variety of sporting activities alongside diverse events and programs.
This review is specific to the new kids’ indoor playground (all I’ve tried in the facility so far). I brought a 3-year-old and 4-year-old to the playground today, the first day it was open, and we all LOVED it! So many different types of play structures/activities for a variety of ages, well laid out, and a very cool lights-and-sounds activity game. Several educational components included, ample seating along the big windows around the edges (nice to see the outdoors!), clean bathrooms right there adjoining the play room. Cubbies might be a nice addition, but we were fine without them. Also very reasonably priced! A 10-visit punch card is $45, making it only $4.50/visit (per child). The grass turf is lush and makes for a nice “outside feel” on winter days! This will be a new favorite spot for sure!!

I go to the sports center 2-3 times a week and walk around the track. It is free and very well maintained. The staff around is very nice, the other people walking all seem very nice and really just mind their own time also. The faculty is super clean, and very inexpensive to use the other features like the weight room, the basketball court, and the indoor field.
Bdgoebel — Google review
This review is for infant and toddler moms! Overall, this place is amazing! We went to check out the play area with our 2.5 year old and infant. While the play area is amazing, the noise level is the loudest I’ve ever heard an indoor space due to the gongs. Yes, gongs indoors. It was hard to talk to each other or the kids sitting near the “music area” of the gym but it radiates throughout. The play equipment itself is fun for every age and accessible but the noise level due to the gongs is unavoidable. Again, we loved the gym itself! Lactation rooms on both levels were so appreciated and a great addition to the complex but didn’t have have changing tables so hopefully they’re just not in yet :) Excited for this much needed complex!

Excellent park for all ages that use park facilities, this park is set back away from busy streets and has bathrooms available which makes this park a great way to spend a few hrs with your kids. The tall section of slides is a bit tougher to get up for smaller kids by design but the top area is fully fenced so no fear of falls from the top or any level. My kids love this park, and we will continue to come back again and again.

I had brought my pretty well able bodied father here for some extra rehab to get stronger. Within 2 days of staying here he was found unresponsive and was taken to the hospital in the middle of the night and this facility NEVER told our family. We found test results popping up on our phones so we called the hospital and found him there. They never called us even until the next day. We had called them all through the night and they wouldn't answer or when they would, they said they would call back with answers and never did. When I walked in I found them huddled and giggling amongst themselves at the nurse's desk. It's a horrible place. Never bring your loved one to this facility if you care about their well being. You can tell they don't have the compassion and care for their patients or their families.

This has been a nice place for rehab. The staff has been very nice. My physical therapist, Tiffany, Shayla , along with the other staff here, is very professional and kind-hearted.

There’s literally no one working there… so many people have had accidents in their bed because there’s no one to help them use the bathroom. People mad lazy too and it takes forever when you press the button for workers to come there’s only 2 good workers there.💔

My sister is a temporary resident there. While visiting with her she told me that most of the staff is very nice and after being in my sister’s room for 3 hours I must say that I agree with my sisters opinion. My sister is in there due to several broken ribs, a bad back and she also has RA. She is confined to a wheelchair. She can be difficult to please at times due to the tremendous pain she lives with and now with broken ribs I can’t imagine the pain she endures everyday. Her sons purchased a recliner for her to help relieve the pressure on her ribs, from sitting slouched over in a wheelchair 18 hours a day, but was told she wasn’t allowed to have the chair there. She cried and cried as the recliner had given her ribs so much relief. I’m extremely disappointed that this facility whose purpose is to help people heal would take this away from her. It was a new leather/ not fabric chair, also in her condition, she could never get out of the chair herself without help. I understand that each facility is bound by rules and regulations, but my goodness that chair was a life saver to her and was told that it had to go. How would y’all feel if this were your elderly mother in pain? Or better yet how would y’all feel if this was you living in constant daily pain and the only thing that gave you relief was taken away from you? This chair, in my opinion was a MUST for her healing. THINK ABOUT IT!!

I visited my sister, Barb Brend, for awhile today! She seemed to be more Satisfied today! I am hoping she will Adjust a little more each day! She said the Nurses have all been very good, which made me feel good! It seems the first few days were not good! So am hoping everyday gets better! Thank you, Jan Carr

We went to eat lunch in the dining room. Then he was wist away to some Dr. Appointment. Everyone was very friendly, so different from when I come on weekends.

I'm currently a rehab resident. I came to The Meadows knowing them only by their previous reputation. I was worried and concerned this could be a nightmare. I soon learned The Meadows is under new leadership and I'm impressed how the new administrator who came in, has taken hold and making major improvements to what can only be explained as challenging. He has an open door policy, visits with residents, asks for input on any concerns residents have. The food had been less than tolerable before, now the food tastes good. If you have food issues those are noted for residents by the chef. Staff issues have been taken care of and are still top priority when it comes to their residents. The Meadows wants each residents room to be considered "their" home with the same considerations as knocking on the door and wait until asked to come in. If no reply then come back later given no emergency needs immediate attention. I'm not a permanent resident here at the Meadows and if things continue to improve as they have already, I would consider full time resident if and when the need should arise. I'm looking forward to continued change.

Nestled on the north side of the city, Riverwood Park is a delightful gem that caters to sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. This expansive park features multiple rugby fields, a soccer field, and a softball diamond, making it an ideal spot for athletic activities. Families can enjoy the well-equipped playground and picnic areas while taking advantage of the serene atmosphere away from urban hustle.
This park is a big one! There are 2 rugby fields, a soccer field, a softball diamond, a good size playground, a picnic area and a walking path going around the whole park. There is plenty of wide open space to run around and enjoy the area. It's on the outskirts of town to so very quiet and peaceful. Plus there are trails going along the river that is next to the park, but they are rougher trails so you might want to wear pants. Overall a nice park!

Clean, secluded park with nice parking. While the play structure is small, there is a basketball court, walking trails, soccer set up and covered pavilion. No public restrooms, but plenty of walking paths
Lauren ( — Google review
This park has great caretakers, has great promise for good trails someday. If your looking for a place that’s off the radar, without crowding, especially for kids, this is the one! The paved bike way is smooth and new, perfect teaching a child to ride a bike! Had a small shelter with a park grill, playground, basketball, open fields, soccer nets, Spartan FB field.
Cindy H — Google review
The park is nice, has areas for basketball, soccer, and other sports. There is a paved walk that circles the park and leads to an asphalt path that runs by the Red River. Perfect for walking, biking, or skateboarding. There are park benches along the path for relaxation or recovery, depending upon the need.

Love it! <3 We'll be coming back here for sure! <3 PROS: 2 grills very separated, large park, small shelter, great playground, is kinda secluded from city, sports field, long walking/biking paths, dogs visiting were well behaved and loved it out there, and everything was very clean! :) Thanks fellow park visitors! <3 <3 <3 CONS: No River Access. Notable because of the name of the park. It seems it might have been at one time, but overgrown plants/trees and erosion of soil has caused it be nearly impassable.

Brunsdale Park in Fargo is a large and interactive park that offers various activities for visitors. It features winding paths for running, walking, and biking, as well as playgrounds and open grass areas for picnics and games like soccer. The park also includes amenities such as tennis courts, baseball diamonds, bleachers, restrooms, and a pretty garden. Additionally, it has a city-wide bike/walking path running through it.
Brunsdale Park is a large, spacious, interactive and really wonderful Fargo park! It’s the perfect place to run, walk or bike along the windings paths, to enjoy the playground, sit and picnic, play soccer or other games, and so much more. Though I am partial (and totally unbiased) for Stonebridge #1 for Fargo Parks, Brunsdale really gives some stiff competition. It’s like a mondo-sized park- there’s several soccer fields lengths of just open grass. There’s a running path that goes along the park for at least a mile and always winds around. It also has an underpass under the busy 32nd Street that’s touching the south side of the park, so you don’t have to worry about crossing traffic. The playground is fun because it has a lot of goofy, less common play equipment that looks like an absolute hay day for a kid. There’s an adorable gazebo to sit at and even a little bridge across the tiniest valley. I recently discovered there are pickle ball courts here that are super clean, and Brunsdale also includes Brunsdale Baseball Park, which I’ve gone to on numerous occasions to play myself (softball) and watch others. They have a concession at times, and bathrooms. Another new addition is the interactive storywalk along the running path that has signs telling kids to do different things and it’s so sweet and good fun. It would take a long time to get tired of this park with all there is to do!
Raegan L — Google review
Large park with 9 pickleball courts, baseball fields, medium size playground, ample parking, large open flat grassy area.

Great park. It has tennis courts, baseball diamonds, bleachers, a bathroom, nice size playground, a pretty garden. The city wide bike/walking path also runs though here. Also has some nice field space for a picnic or soccer.
Joshua Y — Google review
It's a nice little league complex. They have concessions frequently, but the building is a little out of the way than I'd prefer. Field conditions have been hit or miss on whether they are being maintained. For instance, a weekend after a rainy tournament the clay around home plate and the pitchers mound were in poor condition. They did not correct this issue until the Wednesday after the tournament.

Additionally, the park provides dedicated parking spaces, numerous benches, and a shelter equipped with picnic tables.
Meadowlark Park features a beautiful, new playground in a residential area with little traffic. There are dedicated parking spaces by the playground, lots of benches, and a shelter with picnic tables. Toddler friendly and play structures for older kids as well. I like that the tallest section with the biggest slides is only accessible by ladder (helps deter littles from sneaking up there on their own). Very cute woodland theme with "tree stumps" and hidden animals throughout. This one will definitely be on our regular park visit rotation.

This whimsical park features an expansive playground designed to challenge children of all ages while ensuring safety and accessibility. With sloped entrances and accessible swings, it caters to everyone, making it easy for parents with little ones to enjoy the space together. The park boasts well-maintained picnic areas complete with tables under shelters as well as open-air spots perfect for enjoying a meal outdoors.
This is a pretty good park for kids. We had a 3 year old with us and he enjoyed himself thoroughly. It's a newer part of town so I hope they add some trees. There were restrooms available, picnic tables under shelters and a few tables out in the open. I really appreciated the accessibility of the park. The picnic table we sat at had space for a wheelchair to pull up. I noticed an accessible swing and that the play areas had sloped entrances instead of curbs to step over all the way around. The playground has small woodchips around the equipment, which is softer to land on than pea gravel from my childhood playgrounds. I also really appreciated the benches for guardians to sit on while kids play.
Meghan S — Google review
The playground is very big with challenges for all ages. It’s in a safe neighborhood right next to a man made lake. In the winter the hill behind the playground is great for sledding. There are also very nice bike paths in this area.

Linda M — Google review
Delightful playground with a thrilling zip line, suspension bridge, lots of natural textures. The accompanying bicycle obstacle course is pretty neat but parents should keep an eye on the bicycle seesaw. Lots of kids like playing with it while on foot which gets their faces uncomfortably close to the seesaw as it lifts suddenly. I saw several near misses. No restrooms on site that we could see. There is a small picnic shelter. Not much seating for adults to watch their kids.

In process of being fully developed. It appears like they have taken the town name cement plaques that used to be on Broadway downtown and transplanted them here. I think that was a great idea. Beautifully laid out garden in north fargo. Walking paths, places to relax and sit, placards telling us the names of some of the newly planted trees and shrubs. A truly great idea and addition to North fargo.

very pretty flowers and ground cover plants. we stopped by in the morning just for something to do in Fargo. we asked a groundskeeper a couple questions about the plants and she was very nice and informative

The Northern Plains Botanical Garden is a beautiful spot in North Fargo, perfect for families to enjoy together. My parents especially loved it — the peaceful atmosphere, colorful plants, and well-maintained grounds made for such a relaxing visit. It’s a great place to walk around, take in nature, and spend some quality time outdoors. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

NP Botanic Garden Society is small, but worth touring. Although at the end of the season and the flowers were expiring, it was worth visiting. The edible garden is huge and has many plants, almost 50% the size of the entire garden. There is a children's fairy garden (viewed at a distance). All paths are walkable and wheelchair friendly. No entrance fee, but they accept donations via QR on the entrance sign. Bring food to donate to the Homeward Animal Shelter that shares the parking lot. 🙂
MTT C — Google review
Small place but beautiful. Worth the little walk around. Went a little late in the season so the flowers were dying/dead, but still looked amazing with sun shining bright.

I have been visiting and volunteering with this organization since 2019. Since then, it has grown and the dedicated group of people that run and maintain this treasure in North Fargo are unparalleled. The newest addition to the Japanese Garden is such an exciting adventure. Bravo to past, present and future neighbors and visitors that have helped us grow! To infinity and beyond!
Barbara V — Google review
This botanical garden is truly a hidden gem. The grounds are beautifully maintained with a wide variety of plants, from vibrant seasonal blooms to interactive and edible garden's. Each area feels thoughtfully designed, offering something new to admire around every corner. The staff and volunteers are welcoming and knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions and share interesting details about the gardens. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful walk, take in the beauty of nature, and even learn a little along the way. I highly recommend visiting—whether you’re a plant enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing, inspiring outing, this garden will not disappoint.

Mickelson Field Area is a fantastic destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. This park boasts an impressive playground, well-maintained baseball fields, and a scenic walking trail that invites you to stretch your legs and enjoy nature. The addition of a new bike path enhances the experience, making it perfect for cyclists looking to explore the area. As you wander through Mickelson Field Area, you'll be captivated by its beauty—especially during this time of year when wildlife can often be spotted nearby.
It's especially beautiful this time of year. There is even a bit of wildlife. These are pictures taken one evening last month. i was a bit startled, but i saw this little family hanging out for about a week.

We took our 4 year old there after a trunk or treat to run off dorm energy and he had an absolute blast ❤️
Brittany B — Google review
Best Ballpark in the region but is in need of donations to upgrade the facility and make it even better. Go see a game and remember how cool it is to be at a ballpark with character!
Ron P — Google review
The playground is ok, not much else to do for adults. You can always make your own fun and do something like play a game of Croquet or maybe play a game of catch. Much of the park is taken up with the baseball diamonds however. If you get just beyond the dike though it's cool to get to see all the trees and greenery near the river.
Bear O — Google review
There's an awesome playground here, and a spot for recycling too if needed. Lots of baseball fields of course, and super close to a walking trail! My son absolutely loves this park and we have so much fun here.
J L — Google review
Nicely maintained ballpark, shaded metal bleachers! Small to moderate new playground.
Maggie S — Google review
There is a lot of room to stretch your body and mind here. The new bike path is excellent and the fields (baseball and plain old fields) are well kept. It's a great continuation of the parks to the North.
Ben P — Google review
The sledding is fabulous. The only downside is, as of this writing they have no water due to a broken main. Ordinarily they have hot drinks at the snack bar and indoor bathrooms but are currently reduced to bottle drinks and Porto Johns.

43Woodhaven North Park

4.4
(94)
Park
Woodhaven North Park is a delightful oasis that offers visitors a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Nestled in Fargo, this well-maintained park features picturesque walking paths, charming benches for relaxation, and a lovely pond that's perfect for leisurely afternoons. Whether you're strolling with your partner or enjoying quality time with family, the tranquil atmosphere is enhanced by the sounds of birds and geese landing gracefully on the water.
Great fishing as the pond is stocked yearly by the ND Game and Fish. They rotate fish that are stocked so what you catch one year may not be there a couple years later. From experience fishing this for a few years now, if you are fishing lures and worms, you will be disappointed. Again, don't bring your kids here with worms, it's just going to disappoint them as they won't be catching much. If you are fishing with Minnows & Powerbait, you will get fish, expecially if you are fishing off the dock. With minnows, as fast as you put the hook in the water, you will be pulling up perch, bullheads and pan fish. Near the dock you will find small sunfish, small to medium yellow perch and small bullheads (catfish). Cast deeper out along the weeds and you will find (in 2025) small mouth bass, rainbow trout and even a northern pike. Again, live minnows work, artificial lures (even top water and fly fishing) seem to be a waste of time here. Make sure to fish with a weedless hook or you will end up pulling in nothing but weeds as the pond becomes overgrown with water plants by early to mid June.
B W — Google review
Really cute pond. Definitely a great stop for the family, picnic, fish, or to just go for a stroll. Try this pond out if you're looking to switch things up from the river.
T — Google review
Nice area! There is a floating dock that you can fish on. There are a lot of bullheads in the water along with bluegill sunnies. Watch your step as there are some prickly weeds.
Shelly K — Google review
We took our dog here on her last day. She loved going to this park and we thought there was no better way to spend the afternoon.
Brittany O — Google review
Place is great to spend time. If you are planning on fishing, you might be a little disappointed.
Md. H — Google review
Gorgeous...peaceful..well kempt...tranquil hidden gem. My husband and I spent a few hours walking around and sitting at the available benches enjoying the sun, the birds, the changing trees and the geese making their landing in the water. We were in Fargo from out of town visiting family. I didn't get a chance to go to my beloved Detroit Lakes, so we spent some 'water' time here. We walked along the paths, enjoyed the pavilion, admired the sweet little autumn decor folks had out. It was just enough to bring me the much needed water solitude I was needing.
Tazzy A — Google review
The park was nice. But only caught one fish after about an hour of fishing.

44Stonebridge #1 Park

4.5

City park
Stonebridge #1 Park is a delightful neighborhood gem that offers a variety of recreational activities for families and sports enthusiasts alike. With its expansive lawn, this park features well-maintained soccer fields and a basketball court, making it an ideal spot for friendly matches or casual play. Families can enjoy the playground equipped with fun structures for kids, while parents relax under the gazebo adorned with picnic tables—perfect for enjoying lunch outdoors. The park also boasts grilling stations, allowing visitors to host barbecues amidst nature.
Stonebridge (#1) is one of the best parks in Fargo, in my opinion. And no, I am not any part biased because I live right along the park (is that telling too much? haha).. You can decide whether I’m bluffing or not. To clarify, I guess this is Stonebridge #1 Park, because there is also a Stonebridge #2 Park and for some reason they couldn’t give them separate names? But this is an extremely popular park, so it’s not just me glamorizing it. If you go to the park or drive past on any remotely nice day past 4pm, you will see DOZENS of people there. Just on the basketball court alone there are so many people hooping it, sometimes it stills boggles my mind because it doesn’t seem like the park should be able to fit that many people. A few years ago Stonebridge #1’s playground was completely torn out and renovated, and it is way awesomer now (it’s a word don’t even question it). Super clean equipment and fun stuff for all ages! Even as a fully grown adult I can’t help but love their zipline ride or the swing sets. The regular swings are quite high up too, so you get a better swing once you get going, and there’s even a double swing. Not only can you play around at the park, but there’s also a nice gazebo and lots of picnic tables spread out around the grass, with built in grills nearby most of them. Tons of families go there in the evenings and have meals, and even family reunions. It’s really sweet. And connected to the playground, basketball court and grill out areas is a ginormous field- there are soccer goals, a running path along the side, and all the room to do whatever your heart contents outside. There’s often soccer practices held there, family and friends playing a game of football, people working out or other. My high school even hosts their annual Powderpuff football games on the field. Stonebridge #1 is a fantastic park, and don’t you forget it (or get it mixed up with Stonebridge #2)!

great playground area for kids and adults
Nicholas M — Google review
There's more to this park than just a playground. Soccer field, basketball court, gazebo, a few grilling stations, and lots of space. The playground itself is average (aka lots of fun), but the environment it's surrounded by is lovely. No dedicated parking, but the residential roads allow for easy parking. Lots of places to sit around the playground.
Janice E — Google review

A great park! My kids love the variety of equipment, and there is a great field to run and play, and a basketball court as well. There's also a shelter with picnic tables. A great place to spend an afternoon!

Diamond is ok but there is absolutely a lack of shade for visitors. A small patch of possible shade on the SW corner. Only an outhouse in very close proximity to the visitor sitting area. Also a sketchy hole in the ground by sitting area covered haphazardly with a few pieces of plywood...seems like an accident waiting to happen.

2 12 yr old girls, and they had lots of fun playing at this park. It would have been nice if the bathrooms were open. Or at least a port a potty.

Easygoing park with open grassy lawns & a playground, plus an area for playing basketball.
For me it was a place to get some peace and quiet. I was able to relax and enjoy a good sandwich and the evening.

The park is okay. But the people ruin it, it is so nasty during the winter And during the summer, there are shootings, stabbings, And fights literally every 2 weeks Do not bring your kids here
I’m P — Google review
There is plenty of up to date equipment given the size. The bike track wraps around the park in a big loop. Perfect for the activity of the day which was practicing on the electric scooter. It can get a little busy. Which brings me to the cons. There is always a busy bunch of kids. A LOT. Since it's so close to the apartments they are quite comfortable with not sharing. It's also very dirty. There's a drainage ditch right next to it which is constantly stuffed with trash.
Darrell P — Google review
This park was very full of trash, I believe the people that live around it, use as a dumping ground. The kids here need to be tought better.

Park
Statue of Liberty Park is a charming greenspace nestled along the banks of the Red River, just south of Main Avenue. While it may not be an expansive park, its unique features make it a delightful stop for both locals and visitors alike. The park serves as part of the scenic Red River Trail, which offers pathways leading north to Oak Grove Park or south to Lindenwood Park.
Not much of a park, but the spot itself is fascinating. The small-scale 🗽 is impressive and having moved from NYC to the F/M area, it's also nostalgic. Definitely a destination to check out, whether you're a resident or tourist!
