I visited Lake Bemidji State Park for an evening hike on the Hiking Club Trail. Finding parking was a bit confusing at first—I usually rely on AllTrails for directions, and while they’re usually spot on, this time, it didn’t lead me to the exact location. While figuring out where to park, I had an unexpected encounter—a coyote locked eyes with me before casually going its own way once I stepped out of the car. That definitely made me pause for a second, debating whether I should go ahead with the hike. It was the off-season, not many people were around, and the evening was setting in. But after driving all that way, there was no way I was turning back without finishing my hike, haha! At the entrance, I noticed plenty of cabins, and it seemed like quite a few people were staying there for the season. The hiking club trail started off as a decent woodland path, but midway through, it transitioned into a bog walk, with informative signs along the way. I even saw some rabbits darting through the bog, which was a nice surprise. The trail ended with a scenic lake view, making for a peaceful finish. The bog walk was visually interesting, but if you’re looking for a more dynamic hiking experience, it might not be the most exciting. That said, it’s an easygoing trail with great scenery, perfect for a quiet, peaceful hike—hopefully without any more coyote standoffs, haha!

Had a fun 4 days despite the June 21 2025 storm. The staff was great helping out folks after the storm had passed. While some things were unavailable there was still plenty to do and we enjoyed our campsite. It is definitely a place worth visiting and the camping area is very nice. The shower and restroom area is centered in the campground. Well lit at night so easy to find. There are also vault toilets available and are closer for some sites. Lots of water points so filling up is very easy from your site in most cases. Will definitely return and highly recommend a visit when in the area or as a vacation destination.

Enjoyed a day there with the family! We walked with my sister and her baby with a stroller and it was very accessible to do so. So that was a plus! The ranger station is very informative. And the bog walk was very nice, lots of plants to check out!

Site 90 was lovely and private. Large picnic table and fire pit. The campground roads were really bumpy and needed grading but that was probably due to the recent storm. Beach and water were very nice, comfortable temperature. Bathrooms were clean with separate changing rooms outside were a nice touch. Bike rentals and adjacent trails make this campground extra special!

We loved our stay here. From hiking trails to the beach, everything was maintained well. There were several events for young children, encouraging outdoor activities.

Beautiful sunsets over the lake. Camp sites are hit and miss and quite close to one another. Was here on a full moon in October which was gorgeous.

Great place to camp at especially in October when the leaves are changing colors. Lake is clear and beautiful. Don't forget to get to get your state park stamp at the park entrance. Beware Bogsquatch is around the area too.

Very nice park located on the shore of lake Bemidji. Great photo op. Visitor center staff very informative. Downtown Bemidji across street. Plenty of local eateries(not chain restaurants) and shops.

Lovely well keep landmark of historical importance. Make sure to stop. Maybe even charge your vehicle while you visit. Gift shop closes by 4pm, but the restrooms are still accessible after business hours. Not quite as large as some roadside attractions, but still a fabulous sight to visit. Nice place to relax and stretch the legs after a distance of driving, right here at the Lakeshore. Even the JW Witnessing cart was spending some relaxing moments while we were here.

Lots to do here if you are family oriented or outdoors type of person, there is a playground as well as trails to run/walk. Good night seeing rest stop! Bathroom available in doors and lots of amenities within walking distance

We found this tourist attraction on our Google Maps app. We were looking for something to see while driving through Minnesota on Highway 2. This is just about 5 miles from the highway & simple to get to. There was parking for several cars & spaces for RV’s which we utilized with our motorhome & tow vehicle. Great playground for the kids and a beautiful visitor center and grounds leading back to Lake Bemidji which is where the Mississippi River begins. A fun stop to break up the driving monotony!

My kids have the time of their life every time we come here! Super friendly staff, they sell the folkmanis puppets too if you are looking for hyper realistic puppets for content creation, or to do story time with students, day care or your own kids. This science center also has a reptile petting zoo type set up which is super exciting because the kids can come pet the animals with a staff member handling them and learn about animals like bearded dragons, pythons and other snakes people keep as pets, they also have stick bugs, and other neat critters, including an owl enclosure! I highly recommend this place to locals, tourists and people just passing through looking to walk around after a meal at one of the local restaurants.

We've been here 3 times now over the course of the last 4 years, and it is always a great experience. The kids love it, and I recommend it for all ages. Lots of interactive exhibits and great staff who care about the work they do. If you're looking to beat the heat, this is a great place to pass 2 hours.

My kid loved it here! There was something for every age for my kids who range from 2-10. They had live animal exhibits and every subjects for my homeschoolers to get out of the classroom and have a hands-on day! Next time we come, we’ll have to stay longer!

There was some great options and potential, but so many missed opportunities. There are employees walking around and assisting patrons with the interactive experiences, but they weren’t educating the children on the science behind it. It has great potential, but was lack luster at best.

My daughter and I visited Headwaters recently. They have many interactive science experiments. My daughter enjoyed making the giant bubbles & learning about all of the animals & reptiles. The staff was wonderful & the girl working in the reptile area was super knowledgeable & professional. She took out any reptile that we wanted to touch/hold & told us interesting facts about each one. We had a great experience & will definitely return.

Traveling thru and stopped for a quick happy hour. Service was great. The brussels were fantastic. Bruschetta was very olive heavy - definitely over powered the other flavors but still good. Only negative was the water had a funky taste, which could just be Bemidji.

Bar 209 is one of our favorites in Bemidji! The food is always great, a little more edgy than most of the typical bar fare you’ll find in the area. Chad was our server most recently and was a fantastic server and gentleman. He was calm and collected and made a great cocktail. We enjoyed his conversation and his stories. This time, we ordered the pretzel, nachos, and walleye strips. All, including the drinks were half price for happy hour (2:09-5pm). The food came out quickly and was good. I love their cheese sauce with the pretzels and nachos. We’ve also had burgers and other items and have been pleased with everything. The place has a neat decor with guests of all kinds. We often dine with our four children and the staff are always great with them. The restaurant is always clean and I love the clear view of the kitchen. Thanks for another great experience!

Amazing experience at Bar 209 today. Enjoyed lunch meals of salmon, chicken sandwich, thai pasta, and tacos… all were delicious. Our server Chad was fabulous! He was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, helped us with special requests for extra sauce, food preference needs, and took time to take our photo even though he was hustling. Thanks Bar 209 and Chad for making our lunch experience extra special!

No. Just NO. Smh. Ordered the Brussels sprouts with bacon and Bleu cheese crumbles. The bacon was RAW. ALL FATTY RAW bacon, disgusting. After I tried to pick all that disgusting fat out, I tried to eat as much as I could, but it was also setting IN a bunch of liquid? So the Brussels were soggy as well. See the pics. I do NOT know where this liquid came from, or WHY its in my dish, but remove that, gross! ALL that liquid you see on that plate below, is after I dumped it out of the Brussels sprouts container. YUCK. I didn't order Brussels sprouts soup. Also there were strings of onions, half cooked, that just didn't belong in this dish at all. This should've been crispy Brussels, with COOKED BACON, crispy bacon and NO liquid. The $7 scoop of mashed potatoes I got, were at least real, I think. But 0 flavor. Not worth $3. The truffle fries would've been good, if they hadn't been soggy. They were inedible, cold and soggy. The flavor was good, but I couldn't eat much. Huge let down after spending close to $50!!!! Won't return. Will NOT suggest to friends.

The 209 is now our fav “go to” in Beltrami county. What service - to us ‘old people’ who experienced the way Happy Hour was meant to be - 1/2 price on apps and ANY drink! Wow. Our waitress was absolutely terrific. And she also was the bar manager. EMILY. What a treasure. She deserves accolades and we hope that she is getting superbly compensated because she is worth every penny. And the icing on that proverbial cake - our food was wonderful. What more could you ever want???

Chad was such an amazing, amazing waiter. The atmosphere was great, the food was even better. Chad took superb care of our table, he is very knowledgeable in the menu (and martial arts???). But for real, amazing dude, and maybe the best meal I’ve ever had in Bemidji.

I found the perfect pair of locally made woolen mittens in this adorable shop. The owner was very helpful and friendly, he even gave us a tour of the workshop in the back. This is a “must see” in Bemidji.

What a wonderful place to find all sorts of locally made wool things! Lots of Minnesota gifts, regional blankets, yarn, books, soaps, gloves, hats, slippers, scarves, and more! Lovely and knowledgeable folks working there, they even gave me a tour of the back when I mentioned I was interested in wool working. Just a delightful spot we’ll be sure to visit on our next pass through Bemidji!

I bought a pair of boots that were mismatched, I emailed them, and they were really responsive and held the other pair until I was back in town. Exchanged the mismatched boot without any problem. There's a nice sale/clearance section in the back corner of the store that has a nice selection and price reduction. Was able to buy a pair of handmade mittens for 50% off.

This is one of my favorite places in the whole world. The owner/proprietor (Bill) is the most warm, personable, friendly, and professional person you will ever meet. These pictures were taken with some of our young missionaries serving in the area and to took time to take the pictures and make these young people feel like family. Previously, my wife and I purchased at least one of most everything this company makes on site, including a cherished wool blanket, leather gloves, wool hat, a sweater for my wife, and a small replica of Paul Bunyan and the Blue Ox. My daughter and her husband purchased multiple sweatshirts. You have to visit this place and ask for Bill.

If you are looking for a date night...this live, professional, summer, theater is fun! Do dinner in town before, but save room for Chocolates Plus across the street during intermission. Not all plays are appropriate for young people. A couple local pubs are next door if you don't want the night to end. Go with a friend. Bemidji can be a bit sketch in the eve. Have fun!

A great place to work and see live theatre in the summer! Under the new artistic direction this summer (2024), they have made some great changes and seem to be getting more involved with the community again!

I attended a performance of Grease on a Wednesday afternoon. The play was great & actors/actresses were awesome. Parking is a bit difficult as there is only street parking located out front. We parked a few blocks away & walked which wasn't an issue since it was a beautiful day. Theater staff was friendly & helpful & the building was clean & well kept. We will definitely be back soon!

"Shout! The Mod Musical" was fantastic! Those women really had some pipes! We enjoyed every aspect of the production. Well done!

Wonderful summer theater! Grateful to have this in our community! We see every production each year and it never disappoints. They have flex season tickets that are really easy to use and saves you a few bucks for the season.

Who doesn't love a good play? Or a dance recital? A comedy performance? Well, there you go! That's the Playhouse. The chairs are very comfortable. It's downtown Bemidji so disable parking is available on every & each side of the street. The bathrooms have disabled facilities. I've found if there's a line, people will let disabled users go ahead. During intermissions I've seen candy sold and non alcoholic beverages. Across the street is a fun candy store where many people head to for their favorite chocolates. Always a lively time.

The event center itself was nice. Close walk from our hotel so no need to park. We flew into MN to see Aaron Lewis and paid for front row seats. It was an amazing time until a couple who clearly had too much to drink wandered up to the front blocking the view of those of us who paid for it. Things began getting heated after trying to nicely ask them to return to their seats however, instead of security escorting them back to the seats they CHOSE they stood in the shadows enjoying the concert. I tried to get their attention to ask them to help us avoid a bad situation in which they completely ignored me. Finally I was able to call one over and he slowly sauntered to me with a grin on his face, no urgency in tow. He said they were advised to “stand by” until something physical actually happened. I suppose the point is, don’t spend your hard earned money on good seats because clearly you can just go stand up by the stage blocking the view of those who paid for it. Disappointing.

What a great venue. We stayed RIGHT NEXT DOOR at the hotel and went to the concert without having to go outside. There was an indoor walkway. We saw MercyMe tonight. Our section was W in row 8, seats 1 and 2 (aisle seats). We had a great close-up view and more legroom. Food was credit card only. Best place so far for this concert. Third times a charm. It was wonderful. 💜

I enjoyed the women's hockey game, and wanted a good hotdog. I did not get one. I think the buns were stored cold, and they were not warmed up so my hotdog was cold. Pretty icky. Maybe warm food up before serving it?

Went to the MercyMe Concert last night and the musicians were awesome but it was SO cold in there it took a lot of the enjoyment out of it. The musicians all commented on how cold it was. I probably won’t attend a winter concert there again since their priority is keeping the ice rink cold not making it comfortable for other venues.

I was very pleased to attend the Anishinaabe Art Festival, and grateful that they were able to utilize the Sanford Center for this event. Well done and an awesome way to support our community and the Indigenous arts, as well as share in some cultural experiences and the history behind these arts.

Impressive exhibits that are changed on a regular basis so there are new things to see every time I go. Wildflower/ pollinator/ rain garden with plants native to the area. Local artists represented in the shop. Wide range of classes available. I have taught classes there and was impressed with the entire organization.

A bright spot in our otherwise cold, dreary time in Bemidji: beautiful facility; fine Native-American-leaning art; fabulous gift shop; and nice people who let us in even though they're "closed" for mounting new work today.

Watermark Art Center is a stunning art center in Bemidji. The exhibits are always provoking with a focus on Ojibwa /Annishinaabe artists also. I always take guests here if they come to Bemidji, it is a showcase place. You will not be disappointed. I love it!

While visiting Bemidji from out of town, we were looking for a way to take in local art. We were so glad when we drove by and discovered the Watermark Art Center, especially on a cold and blustery day. It is a bright, beautifully and thoughtfully curated gallery space. When we visited there was a very sweet exhibit featuring works from local middle- and high school students. There was a beautiful space dedicated to artists sponsored by Bemidji State, and another space with works done by a local indigenous artist. It was lovely to see such a wide variety of artwork. We really enjoyed our time there. The person who greeted us gave us a warm welcome, explained the different spaces, and informed us that the gallery changes every couple of months. So, the next time we visit Bemidji, this will be at the top of our list of stops!

This was the first art museum I've ever stepped foot into, and I was apprehensive at first, but I was greeted with very friendly staff, beautifully made art, and a bright atmosphere. The talent in the Bemidji area is outstanding! The gift shop features all local artists and the pieces for sale are amazing.

Nice park by Lake Bemidji. It’s right next to the university so it can get busy and the traffic can be heavy. Plenty of tables. Good place to watch wildlife.

It's just a really great park. You can rent bikes, paddle boards, canoes, kayaks, and other boats. Plus there are grills scattered throughout that are for the public to use. A highly recommended summer spot.

Super pretty!! Well kept up and great place for a variety of uses (bbq, picnic, swimming, reading, etc.). The point at the end of the park is a gorgeous spot.

It's a good school if you like winter. Also, there are tunnels connecting the school buildings if you don't want to deal with the snow.

BSU is located on Lake Bemidji, where students enjoy views of the lake and water fowl along with water. Besides a beautiful campus, small class sizes and excellent professors offer students a better opportunity for success in their education.

The best university, full of opportunities. I graduated here with my bachelors psychology. Professor's are extremely professional they will go above and beyond.

Don't recommend. The buildings are old and/or full of mold. They preach sustainability yet don't follow their own words. There's a huge lack of communication and transparency. Many professors are petty, the advisors don't know how to advise, committees have way too large of egos, and the food services is terrible.

Beautiful area, fun to walk and bike in. I don't even go to school there but the campus is full of art and fun crazy sidewalks so it's worth checking out :)

Changed their restrooms to all gender bathrooms, young ladies (pre-teen) walked into the one with boys using the urinals... Not a good experience for all involved. Learn how to better label your restrooms.

Came to see the old train station, stayed for the museum. Great way to spend a quiet afternoon. Be sure to chat with the lovely curators if you need to learn more.

Lots of interesting artifacts and exhibits, in a grand old depot building. Exhibits cover native American history, logging, railroads, tourism, etc. I hadn't heard the story of who Beltrami county got its name from before. It was a fun place to spend an hour or two. The museum is iheavy on text and light on touchables, so this may not be the best choice for young kids (but the mini locomotive outside would be a great photo op with them!) Admission was $7 for adults; some of the online price info was out of date.

It was a huge waste of money, no cars there hardly ever, demo it. The land is toxic there. Carnegie building is a nother waste.

The volunteer is an amazing source of information. Loved the displays.

Really friendly people with a compact but thoughtful and fascinating exhibit. I spent about an hour and a half walking around and reading all there was to see. Lots of local history and the building itself is a piece of it all. The old train station that serviced the area for so long. If you need to burn some time drop in and say hi, it's about $5 for entry without a MN historical pass.

We have been customers since the beginning of time. Last night, July 3,2025 was rhetorical greatest experience our family has had. The shop was very busy and the girls working were very respectful, accommodating and generous with the amount of ice cream purchased. We were also very impressed with the new flavors being integrated. The Key lime cheesecake and lemon-raspberry flavors were outstanding. Thank You and we look forward to coming back! God Bless

So glad we stopped on our day trip, the location is right across from the information center so you have a view of the lake. It was so clean and the staff were so friendly and patient while my toddler tried to make a decision. Most importantly, the ice cream was delicious!

the ice cream is okay , usually had good experiences here until recently the staff is extremely racist now, lots of profiling and staff even used slurs when my brother was there this evening, will unfortunately be having to go to other ice cream shops and tell my friends and family it’s not a safe space to go. Staff was also grouped outside during their work hours and gossip when customers are present very uncomfortable and unprofessional.

Not what it used to be. I was so happy I found this place 2 years ago & this year, so disappointed. Small servings, ice cream "eh," same big price.

Not all ice cream places are the same. Big River Scoop is the best in the Northland. The ice cream is premium with some delicious flavor options and friendly staff.

Bemidji Brewing is a local brewery that has a fantastic tap selection. We were particularly interested in trying a bunch of beers, so we had a flight and found there was something for every beer taste, including pilsners, IPAs, sours, and stouts. There are some snacks and pizzas for purchase, but otherwise no food.

We were looking forward to making a visit to Bemidji brewing before we stopped in. The taproom was spacious and clean. This is definitely a popular place, there were several parties already there right at open the day we went. The staff was friendly and served us right away. We signed up for the rewards program at checkout and were able to get a couple rewards after our first visit. We brought back the fills to share with my parents and they looked forward to the refills we grabbed a few days later when we were in town. Being the only brewery in the area, and in a college town, I didn’t know what to expect. But it was a great place to stop by. There was a great selection available. I would recommend popping in if you’re in the area.

Good beer, good prices and friendly staff. The inside was well designed and had inviting indoor and outdoor seating. Great spot to sit back and enjoy a few cold beers.

Must try the Oud Bruin Kriek! Takes up to two years to make since its aged in maple syrup barrels and with the tartness of the sour cherries it makes this one a real winner! Really loved the Chocolate Peanut Butter Stout too. Very rich peanut taste and the addition of the chocolate doesn't overwhelm with sweetness. Lemondrop Blonde is a perfect Shandy with a jacked up citrus flavor (pictured). Blood Orange IPA was not nearly as bitter as I thought it would be and just enough blood orange to notice on the palette without being too sweet. Octoberfest and Espresso Stout were both good enough to bring home growlers!

I have not been to their brewery but definitely a fan of their beer. Great ipa and autumn ipa. Bravo for making a fantastic ipa.

Left Grand Forks on a mission. A mission to visit the source of so many 6-packs of Summer IPA I've destroyed. There was a detour on highway 2 which lead me to a road less traveled (92) through Clearbrook. Beautiful drive. I arrived at Bemidji Brewing at 11:00am when they opened. There is ample street parking and 4 spots (one handicapped) right up front. The AC is very nice inside, but they have a nice little patio too. I sat at the beautiful wooden-slab bar. All of the low and High tops behind me were unoccupied, but I was told come 3-4pm it's fill up to capacity. They have a small food menu that is pretty legit, but the beer is the star of the show. Came for the summer IPA and ended up falling in love with the Blood Orange IPA. (Don't worry, 7 of the 10 on tap aren't IPAs) The have a rewards system that logs your visits and award you points. The staff very knowledgeable and super friendly. 100% will be back to Bemidji Brewing. @devinejd

I was impressed by the quality of the beer. 8 of the 9 beers we tried were above average. 3 of the 9 were superb. Ambiance is nice, and staff is friendly. Food is surprisingly good. There are options for kids as well. We will be back in the future. Ps Swag is high quality (particularly the hats).

My Kids love it, I enjoy it and their applications are very easy and enjoyable to have. One of the top free things in town and deserves to be funded well locally!

Great library with a good selection of books, magazines, ebooks, audiobooks, newspapers, and movies. Great Kids section. Storytime. Computers for use. Wifi. Comfy chairs. Storytime. Can check out quite a bit of material at once.

I've been a patron of the Bemidji Public Library since I was a child. The librarians have always been friendly and helpful. The book selection is great, and if they don't have the book your looking for you may be able to request it from another branch of the KRLS libraries. Facilities are clean with good lighting, and up to date. My small children delight in the children's reading area and summer reading program. I have used from time to time the various services of computer, internet, printer, et cetera.

Was told to pack up 10 minutes early before closing by two different people less than a minute apart. We told them we were completing a timed test and that we were almost done. Less than a few minutes later one of the female staff came over to remind us again, and we acknowledged them and told them we were almost done. Almost instantly after we talked to her then one of the male staff came over to say that we needed to leave NOW. Keep in mind this was before 7pm. After we got up they shut the light off before we even reached the doors.

Great staff, always helpful. If they don't have the book you want they will help you with the interlibrary loan system.

This was our first time trying Tutto Bene, on Valentine’s Day, and we were not disappointed with the food. It was fantastic. The pasta tasted very fresh and the sauce was the best I’ve ever had at an Italian restaurant. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean. The only complaints we had were how pricey the dishes are and the somewhat plain interior. It doesn’t really give that homey Italian feel. No Italian music playing and minimal decorations. If the dishes were a little less expensive, we would definitely come back often. But at the current prices, it’s definitely a special occasions only kind of place. Definitely worth a visit though!

I wanted to take my granddaughter here for lunch for her birthday. It's been quite a while since I have been there, so my favorite menu item wasn't on the menu any more. Since it was lunch, I assumed there would be lunch prices, but that is not the case. It's full dinner menu and prices. So it was more expensive than what I expected it to be. We decided to share the fettuccini and we opted to get the chicken as an addition to the pasta. The chicken was excellent and the pasta seemed like it was homemade. It was delicious as well. It was served with a piece of focaccia bread. It was very dry and when I bit into it and I thought it tasted like wine. I am unsure if they do add wine to the recipe or not, but there was definitely an unusual flavor. So if you are looking for a good place to go for dinner it won't disappoint. They do have a separate wine and drink menu.

The husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary yesterday and had dinner here. And, OH, what a perfect evening and place to have a romantic dinner for two. The food was cooked to absolute perfection and the service was PHENOMENAL! Thank you - a perfect meal for this happy couple.

Good experience, really great service. Pretty good but not outstanding food. Probably a good place for a 1 on 1 date. BUT-Order a lot. Portions aren’t skimpy but are not large. We got a focaccia app, a half order of crab ravioli, and a half order of chicken gnocchi for $70.

We had high hopes but they were let down. We sat at our table for at least 10 minutes before server even brought us water. The soda was awful and had to tell them they brought me flavored carbonated water because the syrup was out. Later when we got a refill, I thought it was bugs in my drink.. turned out the bartender spilled earlier and it landed in the cups. Our server never checked how our food was. My chicken was suuuuper dry. We really didn't see our server much so ordering was super spaced out. I would love to give them another chance, but I can't say I want to spend that kind of money again for that level of food and service.

I brought my world traveling son and his Brazilian girlfriend to Tuttos for his birthday, after talking the place up. It did not disappoint- in fact both world travelers said it was the best meal/drinks/ambiance (and company♡) they'd ever had! Also, the staff were excellent and engaging, from asking what book I was reading to inquiring about my son's travels. Very well done. World class.

We held my step-son and daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner at Tutto Bene in late October 2022. It was a 4-course meal for 25 people and absolutely fantastic. The chef, Justin was easy to work with from menu planning to event details and the staff the day of the event were on point. The food was incredible, I especially loved the roasted beet salad and the crab ravioli. Most importantly the bride and groom had a wonderful evening. Highly recommend for a casual dinner out or a larger event. Kudos to the chef and the wait staff!

We had MN Nice cater our wedding in November 2024. Our food was WONDERFUL! We had pork roast, beef roast, with roasted baby red potatoes, glazed carrots, and a side salad. The meat was extremely flavorful and tender, and their herbes de provence sauce is incredible. We had a variety of cupcakes, the caramel cheesecake cupcakes were a huge hit! We got so many great compliments on the food from our guests. We worked with Danielle, and she is fantastic. She was so easy to work with and was very organized. For our couples cake, she made a turtle cheesecake that was to die for!! I highly recommend MN Nice for any catering needs that you may have.

Short wait to be seated, comfy dinning room, Good service, for being steady busy she was good. Food was really good, pancakes so yummy. Good hot coffee I would recommend to try if your looking for breakfest .. im sure the other meals are good too :) will be back to try next time!

Have eaten here several times on our way to MI. I love the Irish Benedict with their in house made corned beef and my husband had the special that day. This place never disappoints. The staff have been working there for years and work like a well oiled machine. Service is always with a smile, orders come out quickly and hot. The portions are large and the coffee is good. What more can a person ask for.

Recommended as the place to go! The wait had me curious, however in the end the food was pretty ordinary with the exception of using wild rice mixed in with normal food. Not terrible but knowing what I know now I would not wait there to eat. Nice trying something different.

Always a must stop when I’m in Bemidji. The wild rice pancakes are absolutely delicious - and filling! There may be a wait on weekends, but it’s worth it!

Incredible, made-from-scratch eats. Everything from the coffee to the cakes to the eggs were put together with the love of a mother. Didn’t have room to give the Hummingbird cake a try, good chance of my eyes rolling back in my head followed by a solid blackout so I couldn’t take the risk. Id recommend bringing a strong family member and a stretcher along because the portions are quite hearty. I pert near left in a body bag, but that won’t stop me from coming back! Also, great story about how the owner fulfilled her lifelong dream of owning and operating a popular cafe. Love to see and live the American Dream while it’s in action!

Quaint Cafe. Order at the counter. Coffee is good. Atmosphere is great with lots of windows...a nice place to meet a friend and grab something delishous to eat. Yummy muffins and sweet breads. Breakfast/lunch. Rotation of local artists displaying on the walls. Not sure why the food and coffee was served on a paper plate and cup. Would recommend.

Because the cook's /owners have previously worked at Concordia Language Village a multicultural Camp here in Bemidji area they bring a diverse palate from around the world to this little Bistro which anchors a strong "Artsy" groove. Open for breakfast & lunch and sometimes special occasion for art showings, specialized dinner events. Staff are always welcoming and provide a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a family-friendly food experience inside or out on the quaint little patio. Wheelchair and handicap accessible. Nursing Mom Friendly & an open and accepting atmosphere for ALL walks of life. And an absolute awesome choice for vegetarian/vegan choices from hummus plates, Veggie wraps & sandwiches & wild rice salads! Like other cafes and restaurants they also host art showings on a regular basis participating in Bemidji 1st Friday Art & Sculpture Walk. ☆☆☆☆ four stars because they do need a little bit of updating on some of the decor however it's easy to forgive considering the exceptional taste & quality of the food.

Food was alright, nothing too special honestly. Not bad, but average. The baked good I had was super dry and not very good for something that is normally moist. Drink was good.

The Wild Hare is a nice, authentic place. The style and atmosphere seems sincere and old style, which is really unique and is not something I've seen a lot of. The coffee is really good, and not crazy sugary. The staff are nice and seem to be hard working, especially since it can be a busy place. If you like good coffee or want a place to have a good sandwich, try this place out!

Vibe of the place was great- good service & good music. Ordered the Blue Cheese Bacon. Amazing flavor but it was SO dry I could barely swallow the food. I will definitely give this place another try.

Quaint neighborhood bar. Had the classic cheeseburger added fried onions. It was a little dry also had their award-winning chili. It was OK but let’s be honest. Chili is kind of a personal thing. Everybody does it different.

EVERYONE who works there was polite,smiling, & very efficient & they were extremely busy! Wish I was a local, I would eat & drink here day and night! This the best dive bar in bemidji! Always a good crowd, always great service. The Slim's burger is a simple burger but packs a mouthful of flavor.

Always leave positive reviews to support businesses - with that being said, our group was very disappointed with the service and quality of food received while visiting Slim’s. Immediately, you could sense they didn’t want people to come in, even though it was before 8:00pm. Took a very long time to get waited on to order. Food took unusually long to receive and portion sizes were small for the price. One guy in our group waited an hour to get his pizza, ultimately just getting it to go because everyone else had finished their food before his got to the oven. Not exaggerating! Understaffed and lack of care makes this a serve yourself establishment for everything - which is fine if that’s what they are going for. Wish our experience was different as we visit this area often.

Stopped in to Slims for a burger and and brew and on top of the food being great, the service was top notch. Owen and Addy were very attentive and very pleasant. Will definitely be back!

Super friendly workers. They gave us a very helpful map of the town. The Paul Bunyan props were hilarious 😆 The bike rentals were reasonably priced and very fun to ride around the lake. Took us 4 hours to get up the the Bemidji State park, hang out there, and ride back.

Children went to college here. I am visiting weekly, weekdays

What a lovely lakeside stop. There are the iconic Paul and Babe statues. The playground looks amazing though I didn't go on to it. There is a round picnic Rotary shelter. I walked out on a dock with a very great view of Lake Bemidji. This is just a very fun park for everyone and scenic too. A must stop for me when in Bemidji,MN.

The park has a beach with plenty of duck and goose sign. The is a nice play type ground for kids to climb and slide about. We took the long path up to the next park to the north. Nice walk!

It's so wonderful to visit this park just on the lake. You can have a great walk there. Such a nice play ground for the kids. The statues and the btemji sign makes it special. Picnic tables are there to enjoying the park little long. Restroom is located at the park office with a souvenir shop. We were so glad to meet Mary the lady in the office is very welcoming and friendly. Parking place is spacious and we love to visit the again soon. It's also a dog friendly park.

My wife, daughter, and I came up to Bemidji for the first time and after grabbing a bite to eat we came to the Paul Bunyan Park and it was a lot of fun. We walked around and the park was very pretty and also went into the tourist office (not sure what it's called) but they had a lot of information about Bemidji and also had souvenirs for purchase. Overall great experiance.

The waterfront has changed so much over the last few years! . It is a beautiful place to eat lunch outside or even in your car with windows down watching the lake or people passing on the long trails and sidewalk. Souvenir shop or get icecream from the shop across the street.

The theater was nice and clean. However, the auditorium we were in was really dirty, like it never got cleaned before the next show. Food and drinks are expensive, but that's a theater for you. I also was highly disappointed in the seating. They have recliners for seats and that pushes into your knee space, and anyone trying to get through. So, I personally felt super cramped. They do have cheap seats on Tuesday. Which is a bonus. They also have a few games to play to pass some time. Also, they do have rewards cards for anyone who didn't know about that. Otherwise, it was an okay experience.

I watched a movie and the service they provided was amazing! Afterwards I forgot my card in the chair I was sitting in and when I called to say I would come back they offered to go and look for it. They were super kind and found it. The prices are super cheap. Highly recommend!

Tuesday, $ 5.50 movies all day! Deals on popcorn too. First time back since the remodel. The chairs are comfortable...staff is super friendly. Thurs eve is student and teacher night. Many movie choices. $10 for a movie is very reasonable. Now...even throw blankets to purchase! A good time.

One of the best theaters in the area. Love that they have a lot of ticket deals going on throughout the year. They have plenty of movies and concessions to choose from. Bathrooms are usually fairly clean as well.

My husband and I had a wonderful date night at the theater. They have great food combo's at a decent price. The bathrooms and the theater was clean. We definitely recommend this theater and will be going back for more date nights.

Staff was great, prices are good, sound and seating were good. It could be cleaner in the actual theaters. Lots of popcorn and wrappers on the floor and seats. I had to brush off my seat before I could sit down. Otherwise it was ok.

Huge mall, fun kid area but no strollers, lots of food and coffee choices, neat stores.

"Marketplace foods" always has an amazing atmosphere. Its very clean, the layout is easy to remember and use, the only problem i have with it is the limited amount of workers that can answer any questions you may have. That being said, if you have questions the employees that are available are ready and able to answer at a moments notice.

Clean store well stocked. They have a popcorn kiosk and many different flavors. Popping fresh as I was walking in. I love popcorn but can't have popcorn. That's why the four stars instead of five.

Dry goods are fine, but the discounted isle for meats is kinda gross, how can you sell meats like that, should have been tossed out. Other than that it's not a bad place.

A few empty shelves in the bathroom decor area. And the classic walmart problem, one human cashier and 10 open self checkouts that all had huge lines. At least have all the self checkouts open if they don't want to pay a human to check people out.

We love this place! Quaint, clean and enjoyable. People are very friendly. Great variety of animals. The treat bucket for the animals is great!

Wow! What a hidden Gem! The staff were so welcoming and friendly! The animals were great! The kids- even the older teenagers had a blast feeding the animals and getting up close with the deer! Such a great stop along the highway to get out and stretch out legs and venture during our 8 hour trip home! So so glad we stopped!

Amazing place. Kids always have fun from feeding the fish to petting the deer. Very friendly owners who will answer your questions and help you out. I 100% recommend stopping if you’re in the Bemidji area.

overall a pretty fun place and had a good amount of animals + info on them. you can buy treats/food to give them, but one of the baggies is dog food. some of the habitats looked small and had no grass or bedding. a few of the deer were missing fur and seemed ill. it was $20 for two people. also, there's NO TIGERS (or lions etc) despite the tigers being mentioned on google and displayed on a sign outside

I went with low expectations based on some of the reviews, and I was pleasantly surprised. The animals are all in clean enclosures, they all look relaxed and happy. the only one that I felt bad for was the lone wolf, he paced the entire time. Otherwise, you get fairly close encounters with all the animals, there are pvc tubes placed so you can drop treats for the animals. And both the kids and the animals really enjoyed that. You can go in with the deer, that was a favorite for our kids. They also loved feeding the trout as they got splashed everytime they threw food in. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the place is really homey and peaceful. Each enclosure has some info on the animal. We really had a great time. Definitely recommend getting the box of treats to walk around and feed. We paid $10 per person did not matter what age. And $5 for the treat box. We would definitely go again. We spent about 1.5/2 hours there.

Cameron Park is a beautiful place for family and friends to enjoy the natural beauty of Lake Bemidji while also being able to share nature and fun with the children. A small playground and well as a beach and a covered picnic area adorn the south side of the park, while a functional boat ramp at the north end of the park enables boaters to enjoy their favorite pastime.

Really fun place to hang out for the day with friends and family. Great swimming beach and very nice park for kids. Outside showers for when your done swimming. Great place.

Nice spot to drop a kayak into Lake Bemidji. Nice facility with restrooms, parking and a well groomed beach with swimming area. I go before and after summer holidays so the crowds aren't as thick.

This is a cute little park. Not many kids there when we stopped, so it was an added bonus for my granddaughter. There are modern bathrooms in a building nearby. They didn't have signs indicating men/women but men's room is closer. Women's is on the backside. Also a skate park nextdoor.

This park is a park with no swings, but it has a great place for picnics. There are fun places for the young children to play. There are often many older teens in the park without their parents, as there is a scatepark.

Great trail in the park. It was even cleaned up after the recent storms, so very well maintained. Guy on the mower could stop the blades when passing trail users though.

First time bringing the kids here, they loved it! But the tables in the pavilion were written on with cuss words, which I had to put my jacket over so the kids wouldn't be able to read it, or ask what it spelled.

Nice small park. Clean and well maintained restrooms nearby. Our 5 year old enjoyed the playground. Our dogs enjoyed the paved walking trail and the trails for the frisbee golf. Recommend.

Last time I went was my girlfriend birthday they said she would get a free drink for her bday so figured that’s cool than when we left they charged us for her first drink and it costed like $24 for 4 drinks and it was 2 beers and 2 sex on the beaches seems alittle steep for what we got I didn’t tip the atmosphere was depressing and uninviting I won’t go back there

I asked if there was food, beef sticks with a $ amount on them in sight, and was told no... Someone said pizza... Unclear if or when there is food. And I'm sober. So I just got a diet Coke and then left. I like that they don't seem to police if people are allowed to use the restroom though. Not enough places like that in the area. I wasn't ignored. Staff are polite ENOUGH, if you go into a bar knowing what kind of bar you're walking into! Which isn't hard to figure out! It was a LITTLE confusing just on the food note, but the place is decent.

I've been going to Hard Times for many years through multiple owners. Always the only place I go to. It's great for playing pool. They don't have live music any more though.😞

I love this place! Despite going through many owners, this beautiful dive has come back to it's roots ( aI should know: I've been going to the joint for 30+ years). The chef is spectacular at traditional bar food, and takes it SERIOUSLY! Cool place, good vibe, nice owner, and some badass bartenders.

This spot brings back many great memories as Mort's Hardtimes Saloon. To me, it is easy to see that this bar has a long way to go and short time to get there. I am not sure which direction the owner is heading but please figure it out soon. It used to be first names, handshakes and good conversation. Now, not so much. Your cliental is your life line. Everyone who comes thru that door better feel at home. This classic Hard times deserve a chance to find their niche tho. Stop in and make up your own mind. Good luck to the new owner. I love this little shop. It has the best array of gifts and household supplies and decor. Cute MN themed things, fun lawn decor, really comfy clothes, super soft blankets, lots of fun dips, salsa, sauces, and canned delicious-ness. Its a must stop! Books, toys, games, clothing, blankets, kitchen supplies, outdoor stuff, all the things! 😍 I shop here for us and for fun things to give friends and family.

Great gift shop with reasonable prices on everything. Tons of Bemidji t-shirts and lots of cabin home art decorations. The also have local sauces, syrups, and kitchen utensils galore. Just about half the store had items on sale this time in early September.

At first glance a person might think this is just a tourist trap. It's also a top notch kitchen store. I didn't know this until I was just bored one day and stopped in. If you are looking for the perfect gift for anyone who likes to cook, a wedding, a foodie it would be a great stop. It also has nice art. There is also the kitchy stuff for the tourists.

McKenzie Place is one of my favorite places to shop. They're clothes are reasonably priced and have a Bemidji/Minnesota theme that I love! They have many local items and also carry decor, kitchen items, and fun souvenirs. I can say this is one of the first places I go when looking for gifts.

Great store. A wide variety items from wall decor, kitchen gadgets, to clothing, jewelry and blankets. Good selection of jelly, J's and salsa. Wonderful, helpful staff.

This is a lovely local store and the staff are very helpful. I just happened to go in when there was a great sale. I probably wouldn’t have been excited about paying full price, so was very happy.

Nice regional airport, free parking, easy in & out. Regular daily Delta flights in/out of MSP. This airport has TSA Pre-check, however the lines are so short that it probably wouldn’t be any issue if it wasn’t open. Food/Drink options are limited to vending machines pre-security, and a drink vending machine post-security. Most importantly, their airport and TSA staff are friendly and made the experience great.

Be careful and check reviews before you fly! The website is NOT maintained. Their new policies and procedures are NOT announced, apparently sticking printed signs on the building is as much effort as they’re willing to put into announcing new rules. Checked luggage must be done at the counter 45 minutes before boarding begins. There is no self-checked luggage. Good luck though, I’ve never seen the building unlocked and opened before 6am for a 6:45am flight.

The biggest little airport in Bemidji. Easy access, friendly service and best of all free parking for up to 60 days. This is by far my most favorite airport in the world.

I used to love this little airport. Always my go to. Quarter million miles flown on Delta, most starting at BJI. Pretty sure they knew me by name. But ever since they upgraded the tarmac it seems, the prices to fly out of BJI have been extremely high. I’m not sure if that’s the reason, but haven’t been able to justify flying out of BJI lately, even with the free parking.

Went here to see my boyfriend. Great small airport. The people were friendly and easy to talk to. Easy to navigate through. All the planes need now are tvs lol! I hope it continues to improve and still have amazing service!

ARRIVE *AT LEAST* ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SCHEDULED DEPARTURE! Friendly and professional TSA agents. I'm not used to flying out of such small airports, so we were unaware that the counter for checking baggage automatically closes 30 minutes prior to boarding (i.e., 45 minutes prior to departure), so when we arrived a half hour instead of an hour early, we couldn't check our bags, and thus had to cancel our flight. I would've liked to have been made aware of this policy through either their website or through the barrage of emails I received from Delta Airlines and the third-party travel agency I booked the tickets through--but alas. In the end, however, the blame doesn't belong to them, as we didn't follow the suggestion to arrive an hour early. The single airline staff member that we did encounter--after our flight departed--was helpful in providing a box of matches. All in all, the situation was disappointing, but the staff and facility were pleasant enough.

Friendly people really do embody the mission of this non-profit to enrich the community through music and the arts. I have learned a lot in my lessons and found that different teachers have offered me different ways of learning, too. So glad HMA is in my community!

A great place to learn about music. This school works with children from a very young age to teach music, and they do a great job! The teachers are dedicated, and the place is a wonderful place to learn. They also teach other visual arts.

This is a great art school! The people in charge are very friendly and inviting. The teachers are also great to work with. They offer a variety of at classes, pottery, painting, music, etc..

One of my kids did a music camp here and loved it! The teachers were fantastic and enthusiastic, the final concert was great!

Had a great experience with Aaron and 218 Latitude. We rented a double decker pontoon with slide. The whole family had a blast young and old. Aaron was also great to work with. We had to switch our dates due to an issue on our end and he was very accommodating. We highly recommend and will be using Latitude 218 in the future.

Our group of 8 rented Aaron’s 26’ double decker Bennington Tritoon and had an absolute blast. Aaron was very easy to work with, had the boat ready and clean for us when we arrived and gave us some pointers on where to go on the lake. Everyone had a riot going off the slide on the top deck. It was the highlight of our Bemidji vacation and we will definitely rent the boat from Aaron again next time we visit.

Beware! - I cancelled a reservation within the guidelines of receiving a full refund. I got the cancellation notice July 21 and still do not have the money back from my pontoon rental. I have repeatedly contacted Aaron. On July 31 he said he reissued the cancellation. I have no refund and he has stopped returning texts and phone messages. I am out almost $2000.00. It does not take Venmo or credit card companies almost 4 weeks to issue a refund!!!

They bent over backwards to accommodate us for a snowmobile ride. Family friendly. The equipment was is in perfect working condition. They even purchased a helmet that would fit my enormous melon and added it to their inventory so I could be comfortable. They were willing to work with us after a miscommunication about deposit policy and offered a rain check when the temps dropped too much for us to stay warm on the trail. I don't know what they could possibly done to make it better experience.

Our snowmobile rental experience was fantastic! The machines were well-maintained and in excellent condition. The convenient location made it easy to access the trails and the whole process from booking to returning the sleds was seamless. Highly recommend them!

Our pontoon rental was a great experience! It was perfect for our family's needs for the week. Aaron was fantastic in helping us with everything we needed!

The boat was beautiful new and clean. Owner was very friendly and concerned for us when bad weather hit. He even offered to comp us but we declined as we had most of the day. Had a great time and caught a fish dinner.

It's a hockey rink..... nothing stands out. But nothing was disappointing small bleachers small locker room (the one we where in)

I was here doing my duty as an election judge and this place was where folks in Ward 2 came to vote on election day: in the warming house. As far as warming houses go it is my humble opinion that the city of Bemidji has spent far too much money on this building making something so fancy. That's how things are in Bemidji though; if it's for sports people you get fancy and nice. If it's for anyone else you're going to get bare bones for bottom dollar. Anyone this warming house was nice and warm for voting. I'd never come here for anything else.

First time on my skates this season, for this 65 yr old chick. Ice was great and quite a few people there. Only fell once

They've really dressed it up with a new ceiling and lights. It was a fun practice.

Credits don't transfer and a few of the staff are very judgmental. It's a very ultra-conservative and cliquey college and their primary goal is get that dollar. Because of this college and the way they treated and lied to me I left the Christian faith. Do yourself a favor go to a school that let's you be you, and let's you explore things.

Continue to uphold the word of God. Don't cave to the world.

Classes are mid at best. Currently I don't like most of my classes. More than makes up in a good christ following community.

Staff very friendly,knowledgeable, and helpful. Looking at places for further education with my soon to be graduate.

Outstanding, you can bring yr own equipment so long as you buy their paint. They do have multiple scenarios to play through that keep the play lively and objective centered. We went there for a bachelor party and our guide/safety officer knew how to have a good time. Would go again but I'd hire a bunch of kids to hide in the tubes to pop out and scare the other team.

So much fun. I wish I would have discovered them more than two weeks before they closed up shop, but they for us hooked!

Dave was so great and accommodating! He customized games for our group, and was helpful and patient with the kids! Highly recommend!

Devotion Paintball is a great place! Prices seem fair. The owner really wants everyone to have a good time and will do what he can to make that happen. He runs a safe operation with great fields. Pipes, spools, tires, woods, downed planes, dummies, smoke grenades, and other options to keep things interesting. Highly recommended!

VETERANS BEWARE OF THIS SCHOOL> Terrible school. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! If you miss a payment they are super quick to send it to collections. The Only school that I have delt with in MN that does this. Its a horrible school the way they treat people. They just want your GIBill money and thats it. If I could give a lower rating I would.

Like most colleges and similar institutions, it's got it's good parts and bad. But all in all, I'm enjoying my time here.

A school that teaches you business classes and then screws you over when your classes start to disappear and you get no explanation so they sweep it under the rug, then bill you for the books you returned to them because they misplaced them. You would have better luck using Udemy than going here. Pre-covid parking is a nightmare, post covid, more people park in the street than in their parking lots, because the fee they charge you is not cheap.

The college has seen a lot of improvements in the last few years. They are way more focused on students now than before, lots of great instructors and smaller class sizes which is really nice.

Lake Bemidji Bed & Breakfast is center to downtown and just off fantastic trails. The home is beautiful and so peaceful. You'll absolutely love the hosts!! Most definitely recommend staying!

Loved the place. The location was ideal. Many places to relax inside and outside. We enjoyed the biking and walking trails in the area. Bed was very comfortable. Food that Jill served was delicious. We would happily stay there again. It was just what I had hoped a B & B would be like.

Came to Bemidji for grandson's high school graduation and enjoyed four nights in this lovely, well-maintained B & B. Breakfasts were very good, and there is a small living area with kitchen for snacks, etc. and convenient wash machines. Jill's flexibility and hospitality were the best. There is a great view of the lake, and we heard loons in the evening! This was wonderful for a former Minnesotan! It is easy to walk into town along the lake for other meals. Dick was gone most of the time, but both he and Jill have good stories!

Wonderfully relaxing! Accomodations were comfortable and clean. The neighborhood is quiet and it was easy to walk to restaurants and along the Lake. Breakfast was fantastic. The dogs were an added bonus -- felt like home with none of the stress!

Great location next to the lake and easy walking to downtown! Owners are helpful and kind. The breakfasts are AMAZING! They have a beautiful outdoor space and porch to enjoy as well! I will reccomend this place to all my friends.

This little gem comes with a spacious back yard/patio next to the lake and walking trail, a beautifully decorated B&B that feels like home, and the option to book a 4, 6, or 8 hour fishing tour!

Our entire experience was outstanding. From the comfortable bed to the exceptional breakfast, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would stay here again!

Go-karts is the best part(so long as you pay the extra dollar). The water slide is just mediocre but the adjacent bathhouse is quite sketchy. For the price, it's not that great.

Looks to me like they have shut down operations unless they have moved to a different location.

Terrible They can't even get the dates right with paper work they give you. No advocacy at all there terrible really disgusted how my family was treated and the lack of everything. This is why trafficking is so bad here no one does anything. Do not go here what a joke

This so called guide canceled my reservation for a spring crappie trip without contacting me. Then decided July would work for him. Then we booked a room in his B and B, then canceled our reservation and replaced us with another reservation! This is absolutely ridiculous for a prepaid trip. My recommendation would be stay away from this service!! Very dissatisfied. Steve Knoll (AKA Mallard).

The staff at the arcade was less than helpful. We had little kids and they didn't have games for them. A lot of the games were broken. It was our first and last time there.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FAMILY FRIENDLY MEMORY MAKING PLACE! I have so much to say about how amazing this place is.. Brought my Family of 8 there today.. 1st of all.. SUPER AFFORDABLE.. 2nd.. Everyone here is Extraordinarily Friendly…. One of the employees (Scott) I believe, was an off duty lift operator, literally he was there with us wife & kids, not even working, found out one of the kids I brought just moved here from Georgia & had never skied a day in his life. He took him to the bunny hill and gave him a Private Lesson until he had the basic skills down.. To pass on his love of the Sport. Thank you for making today one of those SPECIAL DAYS!

Absolutely awesome, family-friendly location. There is a decent enough variety for skiing and snowboarding, especially when the backside is open. Inside the building is nice and cozy, and there is often live piano playing. The food is alright, I personally recommend the chicken strip basket. The bathrooms are functional (the upstairs one is better). The views on top of continental are simply the best around. Overall, it's great coming here for skiing/snowboarding and tubing. Especially with how close to Bemidji it is.

Staff closed the ski hill for “safety concerns” due to weather. They didn’t announce the closure on their website. We drove 2 hrs for a little fun in some fresh snow. One staff member informed us it was “bad” at the top of the hill and that he had to “run around town” with his girlfriend. Weather is currently 23 degrees with light snow and a 16mph wind, pretty normal stuff for the region. I’ve been to this same hill in sub zero temps and stronger winds with snow before. I get the feeling that the staff is lazy and wants to watch the state hockey tournament instead of service customers at their small overpriced ski hill. I would have happily paid the price they charge for the meagre 200’ vertical they offer but will now reconsider in the future. Situations like this make it less likely that I will go out of my way to support a local business. The trade off is typically better service than the big places but I guess that’s a thing of the past. They also told us that Spirit Mountain in Duluth was also closed. I called. They aren’t. So you can add lying on top of laziness. Nice combo. I’ll be taking my money elsewhere.

In the middle of Prairie, it is good to have an ski resort, but compared to other places like up in Alberta or Colorado, it’s tiny! But the reason for not giving 5atar is that the facility is so old and poorly maintained. The first place I check on everywhere I go is their WC. You should squeeze yourself to fit in with your outfit in there. Also upstair they had a rest area I suppose for skiers who stay overnight. It wasn’t clean at all! Again when you want a quick ski in the area, it’s fine. Adults lift tickets are $45 which is fine.

Buena Vista is a local gem! We are so blessed to have this ski hill in our area. Great service, good food and good clean fun!

We love BV! They made the most of the poor snow conditions. Thanks for all the fun! We were able to ski a couple times earlier in the season and enjoyed tubing & horse drawn wagon rides today.

I wish they had a midnight ski night once in a while. For what we have around here it’s a fun little hill. Family Friday night was a blast for the kids!

So much fun! A must-see location. The walk from the parking lot is very short. Great for all ages. They even have wheelchairs available.

Nice park, lots of historical information. The trail to the Headwaters was easy to walk. We had beautiful weather on our visit, which always makes a visit pleasant.

magical place if you enjoy being alone, having to blaze your own trails, explore native plants and plant communities, and just experience nature without the curated experience of a state park or trail. most of it has zero amenities, not even parking lots.

Having been the entire span of this grand river, except where it begins until this point, I must admit it probably holds a greater importance to me than many others. Regardless, what a joy to see what would seem a meaningless stream of water if one didn't know it's ultimate power and majesty further down the way. The park is very well put together, clean and peaceful. Restrooms are more than adequate and the trails are very easy to maneuver. I can not speak for the cafeteria or gift shop as they were not open yet when we were there. The parking was plentiful and well laid out. I do advise purchasing the tickets ahead of time. I had no cell service there. They have free wifi, which was good enough to get on the site. However, they send you to a secondary site that requires a verification code sent via text. I had no cell service. Hmmm, yeah. Overall a great place to add to any bucket list.

Nice little drive from Bemidji MN but worth it to see where the mighty Mississippi headwaters begin, especially for this Midwestern gal who sees massive bridges built over it further down river. No one else there but us, no ability to walk on the shore (Minnesota doesn't seem to accommodate for this on most of their bodies of water.....) But overall pretty cool see at least once.

Second time going and its still bucket list worthy. There is more to see than what we saw, more to explore than what I got to. Just do not put Mississippi Headwaters in your GPS, it will take you somewhere down a one lane dirt road 7 miles away from the park!

It doesn't feel like summer until we get to races

First time at the Races 7/17/22. It was such a good time!

Decided to go to the races on a holiday weekend as some other friends were going. Our group of 8 went there with low expectations and we were quite surprised with everything they offered. From the cotton candy to the fried foods and right into the ice cold beers along with some good racing to be seen it was a great evening. We will definitely be back.

Good, simple dirt track fun! They host fun events and always trying to keep the audience engaged and coming back each week. Tonight was one of the two kids nights with free admission to kids under 12, they get to meet the drivers who hand out treats and then get a chance to win a backpack full of school supplies!

Love it!!! Beer cold and food is good. Bring a seat cushion if you have back issues. Yes it is a dirt track so expectation is water truck and dusk. Good racing!!

Best backyard playground ever! Always a new discovery every season. Please keep this forrest true to view - pack OUT what you pack in & be nice to the trail heads. It's not a mud run🙄

This is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. It is quiet and amazingly beautiful.

Beautiful trees, parts of the trail were muddy from recent rain, some going through the forest to avoid giant puddles.

I love the forests of northern Minnesota. This one has many beautiful pine trees, Popple trees and Birch. In my time walking around this Forest I've seen many different bird species and many of our four-legged friends. Last time I was there I sat down and let the woods keep quiet around and within an hour I had seen multiple squirrels a deer and so many of Our Feathered Friends. If you just want to get away for some hiking or camping I would recommended this place.

Don't come here unless you want a bunch of self righteous people to stare at you for not being in their "kennel club." Their dogs were antagonizing my puppies and the owners laughed at the "silly" behavior instead of getting their dogs in control. Just bring your dogs into an empty park or field instead of this place because I can promise it will be much more fun for you and your pooch.

DOG PARK! I have to rather large dogs that sometimes like to play with other dogs and investigate people, and I have had nothing but good experiences at the dog park. Haven't tried the warming house yet, it's been warm.

Do wish there was more shade and a small splash pad..

I wasn't in the warming house, but the Nymore Dog Park and playground don't get enough credit. The city finally put lights in the dog park- YAY!
