Nestled in a bustling Santa Barbara street, FLOAT Luxury Spa is an award-winning sanctuary with a serene private garden adorned with enchanting lights and a tranquil reflecting pool. The spa specializes in massages, facials, and body treatments aimed at relieving stress and fostering rejuvenation. Their inviting ambiance encourages guests to linger until they feel weightless. They offer combination packages and party options for special occasions like bachelorettes.
Always a lovely experience. I’ve had several massages with several different masseuses and they have all been great, very attentive, and professional.

I won’t be returning here to pay “luxury” spa prices for a dirty facility with a tiny waiting room. After my massage, I went to shower and the door was locked (even though there is a sign inside that says do not lock door, 5 minutes later an employee came out. Showered briefly in a stall with water that would not get hot and a moldy shower curtain. Towels are crusty, old and cheap. Went to sink and there were used cups with food. Not sure what is going on here but this place needs a facelift. See pictures. The only thing saving this place is Maria who gave a great massage. Not recommended.

Float came highly recommended by family in Santa Barbara, and they absolutely delivered! Hands down, one of the best deep tissue massages I’ve ever had. I was highly impressed with the service from both my therapist and the front desk staff—everyone was professional, welcoming, and made the experience even better. I only wish we had a Float back home because this would definitely be my new go-to spot. Thank you for an incredible experience!
T L — Google review
Such a great spa - had the best experience here: the reception staff and the esthetician were so welcoming and the ultimate renewal facial I had was so perfect! The place has very relaxing atmosphere and is my go-to whenever I’m in Santa Barbara!
Igor K — Google review
I go to Float about 2x a year and it's always great. Maria is one of the best massage therapists in town, and Jessica was wonderful during my most recent visit!

Amazing experience, kind staff, beautiful location. Would definitely recommend as a “treat yourself” gift!

This place is amazingly very professional the first time i walked in. The gal that did my massage was amazing 👏 😍 I had very tight muscles in my shoulders and low back she took care to understand what was important to me. After this I was given a robe and refreshing water and waited in the seating area for my facial it was just as wonderful very relaxing small chatter very courteous and paid close attention to my skins needs and reccomended a facial cream for my skin. Just a all around great experience!😊😍 I definitely will come again.

Just experienced the best deep tissue massage EVER! Took my best friend for a birthday trip to Santa Barbara and we both relaxed, healed, and recovered this weekend and couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the massage was at Float! Sage went beyond my expectations and I felt like new again. My feet were so happy and all the tightness left my body! I will be back for sure and highly recommended in Santa Barbara.

Discover the unexpected oasis of Salt Cave Santa Barbara in downtown Santa Barbara, where you can immerse yourself in the healing practice of halotherapy. This unique experience takes place in two meticulously maintained salt caves, one of which is considered the largest in North America. The air within these caves is purified and rich with natural minerals, offering a therapeutic environment for respiratory health and relaxation.
This is a unique and affordable stop for an hour on a trip to Santa Barbara. You can enjoy a 45 minute session in a well designed salt cave to detox. The cave is tranquil and relaxing with meditation sounds and music. They do require reservations. This experience was very affordable. They also have a soundbath experience that is a bit more and on the higher end they offer massage. I found their shop filled with affordable items to buy. I went home with a bag filled for about 100.00. And I got about 20 different items! I highly recommend a stop in.

The salt cave room couples massage was INCREDIBLE! The therapist was Danny & my wife got Mia. We will definitely booking with them again. My wife said it was so relaxing that it was hard for her to stay awake. I would describe it as similar to “the rhythmic undulations of the crashing ocean waves that effortlessly transition from mild to perfect medium pressure.” Wish they offered the Swedish/Deep Tissue Combo Massage in longer durations than just 60 minutes. The added bonus was because of the booked massages, the products (e.g. bath salts) were all 15% off! Great gift ideas for yourself, family and friends. And because our appointment was on Saturday morning, we were able to go to the Farmers’ Market a couple blocks away. Finally, street parking is definitely difficult. We decided to do the parking structure on Ortega. The first 75 min is free & $3/hr after plus they have EV car charging.

I got a deep tissue massage at Salt Cave Santa Barbara, and it was absolutely amazing, one of the best I’ve had. The therapist really knew what they were doing and worked out all the tension without it feeling too intense. Before the massage, I spent some time in the tea room, which was peaceful and set the tone for a super relaxing experience. The whole space feels calm, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I left feeling completely refreshed and will definitely be coming back.
Kennadi D — Google review
It's definitely a place to check out when you're in santa barbara. I had the pleasure of experiencing the quiet room and the couples' salt cave, and I ended it with the 45-minute meditation experience. They offered us 15% off retail, idk if it's because we booked a treatment/meditation experience. I'm glad i got to check that off the list!
Toni B — Google review
Loved the salt cave experience- which was 40 mins. It was very relaxing. The prices of the shop/gift store were really reasonable as well. There was lot of parking in the area and it was easy to get to and find.

I want to preface that I did enjoy my time at this spa and overall it was a good experience. When I first walked in there seemed to be an argument ensuing between a man and woman, both of them welcomed me in so I assumed they both worked there despite the woman being the only one looking official. Once they were done, I awkwardly approached the woman about scheduling a massage, overall she was helpful. However, this was my first time getting a massage in this capacity and I asked if I needed to know anything before going in, she said no. I repeated, are you sure, there isn't anything I should be aware of, I have no idea what to even expect. She again said no and instead started pushing me to buy some lotion which felt rude. I left and came back for my massage later in the day (fantastic they could get me in same day). While waiting for my massage I was lead to a narrow hallway and told to wait there by the same woman as before. I asked if my belongings need to go in a locker or somewhere specific and she walked away from me. I saw another client relaxing in a nearby room and she informed me I could take off my shoes and even get water, due to the prior staff member's attitude I was uncertain if I was allowed in said waiting room as that was not where she left me. I hesitantly removed my shoes and waited in the salt room. My masseuse came and this is where come confusion occurred, when he left me to get undressed, I did not fully undress as I did not know the full capacity of the massage I paid for (hence me asking the associate what to expect), he had to explain to me that I had to remove all my clothes (or at least down to the underwear as the massage was full body), I then did as such and had a lovely massage. Once out I gathered my things and made sure to avoid the initial associate and I paid at a different desk with a very kind younger woman. I expressed that I enjoyed my massage but I was confused by the lack of information I was given, the young woman apologized for the to her associates lack of information. Overall I would go again but when someone says it is their first massage, you need to tell them what to expect even if you believe the information might be common knowledge, consent is huge and someone else could've felt very uncomfortable from her lack of information.
Katrina S — Google review
I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The guided meditation while relaxing in the salt cave was very pleasant. The sound and tones were soothing and the recliner was comfortable. I enjoyed the "tea room" as it was the perfect location to relax and unwind before and after my massage. Daniel was superb! He asked permission as he massaged my body. He used the appropriate amount of pressured (he increased when asked). The entire morning was rejuvenating. I will book again when I am in Santa Barbara.
Antoinette H — Google review
The salt cave meditation was wonderful and I really enjoyed the experience. However, I was disappointed with the $50 gift box we purchased. The lotion was expired—it came out watery and had an odd smell. The spray bottle also didn’t work at all, so I couldn’t even try it. I was really excited to use these products, and while they sound great in theory, the ones I received unfortunately did not meet expectations.

Resort hotel
Nestled along the seafront, Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort is a luxurious accommodation option with elegant rooms, grill-style dining, and 3 tennis courts. Comprising eight Spanish-style buildings, this four-star hotel offers lovely rooms and suites with private patios or balconies that provide stunning views of the mountains and ocean. The property spans 24 acres and boasts a secluded beach location near Santa Barbara's downtown area.
Beautiful property and location. Staff and amenities were perfect. We upgraded to an ocean view room which was very large with a living room space. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable we've experienced. The bar could stay open a little later on the weekends to accommodate late flights and after wedding parties. I gave the room a 4 star because of dirty looking grout and mildew in the shower caulking, which seems to be a common theme in all hotels, but maybe it's an unrealistic expectation.
Bonnie — Google review
The property is expansive with beautiful grounds and a wide range of amenities that make it easy to relax and enjoy your time. While the exterior of the hotel feels a bit dated, the rooms were a pleasant surprise — modern, clean, and very comfortable. Room service was a standout — absolutely phenomenal in both quality and presentation. The breakfast buffet was decent with a fair variety. Nothing exceptional, but a convenient option to start the day. Parking is on the pricier side, but given the resort’s location right across from the beach, it’s understandable. The staff was professional and helpful throughout the stay, though nothing particularly stood out in terms of service. Overall, this is a solid choice if you’re looking for a relaxing coastal getaway with resort-style amenities and easy beach access.

I’m staying at this hotel as I write this review. 10/23/25 at 1220 am. I was provided with a microwave in my room, I’m not sure if all rooms have them or not but it was nice to have as I work for a major airline and I am on a layover. I was looking forward to some warm food as it was too late to get food when I arrived at the hotel. When you work pm trips this is often the case. I warmed up my late dinner and after about 3 mins the microwave stop working. I tried opening it to retrieve my food and it locked up. I tried everything but nothing worked. I attempted to call the desk using the room phone and it was not working. So I walked over to the front desk to speak with someone. The young woman working the desk seemed pleasant at first and was initially helpful. But I after I asked her a few questions she got visibly angry and responded as such. I was taken aback, all I wanted was a warm meal and to go to bed. It was very unnerving, I’ve had layovers here in the past and have never experienced anything like this. The staff has always been very professional and courteous. Tonite was an exception. I returned to my room and was later contacted by Victor, I believe he was a maintenance guy. He broke the microwave door open and I at least got the food out. He also offered to walk my food to the main building and warm it up for me. By this time it was late and all wanted was to go to bed. Thank you Victor, you should be commended for your awesome attitude.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff were incredibly welcoming and their hospitality made us feel at home right away. Service was attentive and professional throughout, and the location is perfect close to everything yet peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is cozy and inviting. We especially love spending the weekend here
Kathy L — Google review
For the price and the service, my stay was not what I expected at all. I booked Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort because I anticipated a higher standard of hospitality, but unfortunately, the experience fell far below those expectations. The value did not justify the cost, and several issues made the stay disappointing. One of the biggest frustrations was that I could never get the Digital Key to work, which was both inconvenient and frustrating since it’s a feature I rely on for ease and efficiency. Even worse, when I got locked out of my room, I had to wait almost two hours for assistance due to poor communication between the front desk and security staff. At a property of this level, I expected quicker problem-solving and more coordinated service. At this price point, I anticipated better overall service, smoother processes, and accommodations that reflected Hilton’s reputation for quality. Instead, the experience felt more like a budget stay than a premium beachfront resort. For these reasons, I have to rate my stay a 1.
Jhonatan U — Google review
First time staying at this Hilton location, and we were very impressed! The property is beautiful, with spacious rooms and well-maintained grounds. A special thank you to Alexx for his excellent service and warm hospitality — he truly made our stay even better. Highly recommend!
Robert K — Google review
One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had checking into a hotel. I was there along with hundreds of other people for a conference. Waited in a huge line to check in for 45 minutes only to be told the room was not ready but they would text me any minute as my room was almost ready. 1 hour later it’s 4:30 and the lobby is filled with hundreds of pissed off people waiting for rooms. At this point I asked to speak to a manager. Within 5 minutes my room is magically ready. The manager had no idea what was happening. I went to my room passing various broken down or old looking doors. This place is not supposed to be so run down and should focus on better customer service. Im a Hilton Honor member and this experience has significantly changed my view of this chain. Still waiting for an apology from management…….😡
Scott K — Google review
Nice, clean room and spacious. Only thing missing is a microwave. I like to warm up leftovers from restaurants. It's in a great location. Walkable distance from Stearns Wharf and restaurants. Nice heated pool and the grounds are very pretty. They also have restaurants on property. We ate our breakfasts at the Roundhouse. The food and service was great, but a bit on the pricey side. Luckily we had some meal credits to offset the price. All in all, I would stay here again.

The spa combines advanced technology with innovative practices to treat issues such as acne, wrinkles, sun damage, cellulite, stretch marks, and unwanted hair. Services include Botox, dermal fillers, tattoo removal, facials, and massages. The 6000 square foot facility provides a tranquil escape from everyday stress.
Evolution spa is lovely. Customer service is a priority. My massage was excellent! The facility is clean and tidy. Sammi is an excellent massage therapist. I highly recommend her. My gift card was accepted for the full amount of my massage 💆‍♀️. Excellent massage.

I have been interested in laser hair removal for a long time and finally had the courage to search local places that did laser hair removal. I am so grateful that I found Evolutions. Having laser hair removal done, especially in sensitive areas can be uncomfortable and awkward when you first begin, but Evolutions made it comfortable from the start. I have had several different women numb me up before the laser removal and all of them have been amazing. Lizzy has completed all of my laser hair removal and she has been absolutely incredible. So professional, easy to talk to and makes the process a breeze and one that I actually look forward too. The pain is very manageable and the results have been life changing. If you are on the fence or wondering about laser hair removal, then let this be your sign to get it done!

I see Erika and have for about 7 years. I have faith she will maintain my nature look that people recognize. I do not want to look unlike myself. I’d like to age gracefully but feel good about myself at the same time. I choose to be a member which I believe is a real savings. The atmosphere is very nice. I have also had facials and massages and always been happy. Nice steam and sauna.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience! My esthetician, Kristen, was fantastic. The facial was very relaxing and soothing and her neck shoulder arm massage was wonderful. I'd give it 10 stars if that was an option!
Tina B — Google review
Cara Ryan was awesome! She provided excellent service, gave me all my options and did not pressure me at all. I highly recommend getting a consultation from evolution’s day Spa if you are thinking about toning up or adding to your facial features or if you have anything you want removed such as acne, dark spots, etc.

My go-to every visit is the Platinum Hydrafacial, beginning with a dermaplane add-on. Now at 50, my skin has never looked and felt more radiant and youthful! I love their products and service providers!! Always first class.

Enjoyed our facials and massages and loved the tea spot waiting area. Sauna was great and not much to complain about but 5 stars would come with no homeless people hanging around outside. Buzz kill. Thanks and we'd return.

As a resident in Santa Barbara I was looking randomly to establish a Spa as Go place for my wife, and we found Evaluation probably by chance and we have not done a bad choice!! My wife had a quick Oxygen facial and she loved every bit of it. I like that even without an appointment, they could able to accommodate her and did a fantastic job. We are thinking of going for a Silver / Gold membership.

Step into a slice of paradise at Cielo Spa Boutique, where the name itself translates to "heaven" in Spanish. Nestled just outside Santa Barbara's bustling shopping district, this spa is a sanctuary designed for busy professionals and moms seeking relaxation. With an array of treatments ranging from lash tinting to indulgent deep tissue massages, there's something for everyone.
Tova at Cielo Spa gives the most incredible mom-to-be (prenatal) massages!! I was originally gifted one during my pregnancy, but ended up booking 3 more for myself because I couldn't get enough. The spa has such relaxing ambiance music, the table and room are perfectly heated, the essential oils used are top notch, and Tova always asks if there are areas you'd like her to focus on. She'll ask how the pressure is but always got it perfectly right without me needing to correct. The best part is the massage itself is a full 60 minutes—at some spas they say 60 minutes but that includes the time to check in, undress/dress etc. I can't recommend Tova and Cielo Spa highly enough. Thank you Tova!!
Jenny M — Google review
I recently visited Cielo Spa with a gift card my husband bought for me. While the massage and facility were beautiful and relaxing, I was very disappointed with the initial interaction. As soon as I walked through the door, Tova, asked about the “tip arrangement”. This felt very unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. The worker also asked if I wanted my husband’s card to be charged or if I would pay, which I felt could have been settled after the massage. Additionally, I had to look up the cost to figure out the price and calculate the tip, which was quite annoying given that this was a gift meant for my relaxation. Unfortunately, this stress overshadowed the entire experience. I would have given this place 5 stars, location and facility are great. However, being asked for a tip as soon as I walked through the door, was very distasteful. And yes, I still left a tip, I always leave a tip, I don’t need to be harassed for one.
Estefania G — Google review
I went to this spa with my wife for our first anniversary and it was amazing ! The two massage therapists were so kind, made sure we felt comfortable and communicated every step of the way. The massage itself was top notch we both received the deep tissue massage (highly recommend) as I was able to indicate what ailments I was feeling that day. Let's just say I do not feel the any longer. I would definitely refer others to this spa and come back myself :)
Miguel M — Google review
ZERO STARS I’m a licensed cosmetologist, and my experience here was beyond disappointing. I booked a $120 Vitamin C facial on 7/10/21, which the owner, Roxanne, claimed included a "mild" chemical peel. That was completely false. The esthetician, a blonde or light brunette woman who said she was 32, did almost nothing. She applied 8–10 hot towels, brushed on what felt like cream without explaining it, and used her fingernails to “extract” my nose—unsanitary and unacceptable. This left dents and peeling on my nose. She pretended to extract the rest of my face in five seconds and offered unprofessional advice to use coconut oil for my concerns. She didn’t wear a mask, even though the website claims staff follow safety protocols. I left with greasy skin, no improvement, and visible damage. Roxanne, train your staff, enforce sanitation, and offer services that match what you advertise. This was appalling, and I hope changes are made to prevent others from going through this.
Orquidea P — Google review
I had an amazing deep tissue massage with Roxanne. She is truly a gifted therapist who not only provided me with pain relief but also an afternoon of pure relaxation! My friend and I were able to enjoy some time away from work and recharge. The day spa is so beautiful, too. A perfect sanctuary!
Marjorie L — Google review
I booked a customised spa treatment for brown marks under my eyes. I arrived at the spa early looking forward to my facial and peel. I had already emailed Roxanne telling her about my problem areas , she knew they were under my eyes. When I got there she refused to do the facial because of the position of the marks. Why not tell me that by email instead of letting me waste a morning of my holiday. So unprofessional Spas in the UK would never treat people like this. AVOID

My wife and I came in for a couples massage on our anniversary. We’re from out of town and it’s always hard to get a feel for a spa online, but the positive reviews here were overwhelming and I’m happy to say that everything lived up to (and beyond) expectation! One of our massage therapists was Jennifer. I can’t remember the other’s name but they were both excellent, attentive to our needs and problem spots and left us feeling refreshed and limber afterward! The scheduling process was professional, efficient, and easy. The facility itself was clean, orderly and easy to navigate. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We would absolutely recommend Cielo Spa and look forward to coming back if we’re in the area again!

I was just looking for a place to get my legs waxed during a long trip and found this place, that was cheaper than other places. I had an appointment with Jennifer and it was amazing. I have a relatively sensitive skin, and it didn't hurt a bit! She was quick but very thorough, and super nice. If I were a local that would definitely be my usual place:)

El Encanto, A Belmond Hotel, Santa Barbara is a luxurious hotel offering elegant rooms and suites, an infinity pool, boutique spa, and upscale restaurant. The hotel boasts some of the best restaurants in southern California with a focus on artisanal ingredients and exceptional flavors. Guests can enjoy breakfast dishes like Eggs Benedict, House-Made Granola, Dairy Free Yogurt Parfait, Smoked Salmon Plate, Vegan Pancakes, and Gluten-Free French Toast.
The level of service here is above and beyond. We were celebrating our wedding the next morning and upon check in were upgraded to a fabulous terrace room and delivered a complimentary bottle of champagne. The grounds are lovely and the location is tucked away while still having a beautiful view of the water. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

I’m a frequent visitor at Post Ranch Inn. There’s a reason why they have 3 keys and Belmond has 1. My first visit to Belmond has firmly secured in my mind that I will be visiting Post Ranch sooner rather than later. With comparable prices but incomparable amenities, landscaping and attention to detail in the room. Pictures are of the dirty room - the “spot” on the wall is right next to the entrance so it’s impossible to miss. There are stains on the chair. And why is the bed on wheels… it looks cheap. The room was $1600 a night. This is ridiculous. I’ve seen the general manager respond to others and the response seem very AI generated/generic. I can very confidently say this is a one time stay and I don’t plan on returning or recommending this to anyone except… maybe someone that I would want them to waste a significant amount of money on. The only redeeming factor is that they allow dogs and the property is beautiful. But an admission to the botanical garden is wiser.

El Encanto exceeded expectations. Nicola made our stay exceptional from the start. He upgraded us to a suite with an amazing view and had champagne and desserts waiting when we arrived. On the night of our proposal, he and the team set up rose petals and champagne in the room, which made the night even more special. The hotel has a calm, timeless charm and the service was thoughtful and professional throughout. Highly recommend staying here.

I was very disappointed with my stay. The rooms were not well maintained, and a yellow-colored water came from the wall, which was extremely concerning. Although staff offered a room change, I was only staying for two days and as a pregnant woman traveling with a toddler, I did not want to go through the hassle of moving rooms. The meals were fair in quality, tbh nothing particularly amazing. Overall, I expected much better standards and maintenance for the price and reputation of this property.

I photographed an intimate wedding here recently, and the property has so many gorgeous photo opportunities — from the gardens to the sweeping ocean views. The staff made sure our timeline flowed smoothly, which makes all the difference for couples and their photographers. Looking forward to capturing more weddings with Heather Wang Photography

Our recent stay at El Encanto was exceptional. We had stayed once before in 2021, and this experience was even more personal and memorable. We chose El Encanto for a very special occasion: we got married at the Santa Barbara courthouse. After the ceremony, we headed to Caruso's for a celebratory dinner. We mentioned casually in passing to Gary (the El Encanto manager) that we were going to Caruso’s for dinner after we got married. In a truly heartwarming gesture, Gary went out of his way to call Caruso's ahead of time and purchased a couple of glasses of a very nice champagne for us to enjoy at our dinner. This level of thoughtful, personalized service made us feel incredibly special on our wedding day. It’s clear that the team at El Encanto cares deeply about their guests and goes above and beyond to create unforgettable moments. In addition to the service, the hotel grounds and rooms are absolutely beautiful and a day by the pool is always a highlight of our stay. The hotel feels much more private and charming compared to the Rosewood, which has more of a country club vibe. We can't recommend this beautiful hotel enough and are already looking forward to our next visit.

My wife and I did not stay at the Belmond. We came up for their gin & jazz event and had dinner. The service was excellent, the view outstanding and the jazz entertaining. If I’m in Santa Barbara on a Thursday evening you know where to find me.

This place is absolutely incredible. The resort and rooms are beautiful! The staff were wonderful and paid attention to every detail. We felt very taken care of here. We also ordered the pasta via room service and man who brought it to us set up the whole meal on the table in our room. We had the tomato and basil pasta for this meal and it was one of the best pasta dishes I have had. We also tried the restaurant which had amazing food and service as well. Santa Barbara is a beautiful place as well. This is definitely one of the best places to stay along the coast.

If you want to go somewhere to be seen or people watch this place is great. The views of the ocean are terrific. However if you are interested in good food and service, take a pass. After we ordered our first course we finally had to catch a passing waiter as ours hadn't returned in over 25 minutes. The drink pours are incredibly small! When I asked, the server announced loudly that they were 1 ounce pours! The salad was way over dressed when I asked for very light dressing. Lastly I can recognize an 8oz steak and this was not even close! We won't be back!
Kitty F — Google review
I have not visited a place more beautiful than Santa Barbara. We enjoyed our time at the Four seasons very much. The view behind the resort is the mountains and the ocean is right across the street. We stayed in one of the bungalows. Very cute and comfortable. Beds are a big thing for me. This one was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was extremely large and there was a dressing room. The staff was so friendly. We were greeted by everyone. The maid service was detailed, my shoes were lined up, the sweater on the chair was folded, our chargers were untangled. The food was amazing, although the cost was a shock for those of us coming from the Midwest. We did not utilize the Tydes restaurant /club across the street but those with us said it was beautiful. The only thing I would caution is to bring your own shampoo and body wash. We didn't because we were flying in and I regretted it. I strongly disliked the scent of the toiletries at the resort.

Wonderful place to stay. Standard setting for a great hotel experience. Staff charming and service attentive but relaxed. Rooms pin perfect with lovely details and touches. Loved the story of the buildings and resort. Expensive but didn't resent a dollar of it (although we were very lucky to get a room upgrade to a bungalow). If you can make it part of your trip.

Amazing. We went to a beautiful wedding here and git to stay for the weekend. Service is impeccable and everyone is so nice. The spa, pool, and fitness room are amazing. There is easy self parking and you can walk across the street to the beach. The rooms were huge, the closet was bigger than my apartment and even had a glass display case in it (I'm not sure what you are supposed to put there). The tub was decadent! Everything was perfect.
Allyssa S — Google review
Best summed up by the most heard phrase, "sorry to keep you waiting" but don't let that put you off. The hotel was perfectly situated for the beach, albeit a few miles of of town; the rooms and public areas are beautiful and the staff friendly. The bar had a lot of staff but they didn't seem to achieve a great deal as the service was, for the most part, grindingly slow. The Italian restaurant was superb with excellent service and food. The front desk and concierge were great. The rooms were lovely and clean and there was a turn down service. Overall it was a fabulous place, just that the bar that needed a little a bit of direction from a manager and the common areas need a little more light in order to read the menus and see the steps! Overall, loved it.
Keith B — Google review
I think the view alone is worth every penny this place charges. Beautiful property all over. Location cannot get any better! One of my favorite places to stay at for a weekend getaway. I would certainly consider this a 'romantic' place. They do have an awesome brunch with gorgeous views. Why the 4 stars? although the property is beautiful , the rooms are a bit out-dated and can use some help.
Nikki A — Google review
We were here last year for our wedding and we went this year again for our anniversary. The service is still outstanding, the bar is great, the view is breathtaking, but the food was nowhere near excellent. The stake was cold and had soy sauce on it, the pasta was good, but the sauce was super greasy and the entire dish was not... harmonious. All in all, for the price we paid it was surely not worth the 50 minutes drive from our home. The only thing I am expecting from a fancy restaurant is consistency. If you have an outstanding experience one year and a bad experience the next year, I won’t go the third year for sure.

With its Gatsby-esque glamour and prime beachfront location, the resort provides an ideal setting for a vacation experience. What a fantastic property. Everything was top notch. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Brian at the door and escorted to the front desk where Melissa swiftly and professionally checked us into our suite. Brian then assisted with our luggage and toured us around the property and offered many suggestions and tips about the property and surrounding areas. The room was spacious and luxurious and spotlessly clean. Lunch at Miramar Beach bar was terrific. Mmmm those tacos are fire!!! Dinner at Revere was excellent. The hostess, Anna Lisa (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was so sweet and kind. Our server Nathan was attentive and personable. We had the black cod and Wagyu strip. Both were fantastic and by far the best Wagyu strip I've had. Lounging at the beach and pool are an absolute must at the Miramar. All staff we encountered were so warm, friendly and were always ready to assist and constantly smiling and happy, which made us feel the same. We took advantage of the house e bikes and again Brian was our first point of contact and he set us up with our rides and helmets and suggested a great plan for the day. I must say you have a real gem in Brian. He always seemed to be in the right place at the right time anytime we needed help at the door/valet. He is a consumate professional, so attentive and made us feel like we were the only ones in the resort despite him obviously being very busy with other guests. Thank you Brian. Housekeeping was amazing, with thoughtful little touches such as wrapping our charging cables, replenishing ice daily and the room was meticulously clean every day. Thank you Rosewood Miramar. We will definitely be back! Dale and Nancy

We absolutely loved our stay at the Rosewood Miramar Beach. We had been here before for a drink at the Cabana Bar but it was great to experience the rooms and service. We stayed in the Montecito Bungalow Room and since we had our dog with us, they assigned us to a room that had a small yard for her! It was so nice to just open our patio door and let her go out on the yard. They provided dog amenities for her as well including a bed, bowls, and dog treats. Everywhere on the property is dog friendly (including their Michelin restaurant Caruso’s) except for the pool. The service was consistent across the property and was warm and welcoming. We loved the gym facilities and that there was an indoor/outdoor section. The landscaping is so perfectly manicured and the food and drinks were great. It was my birthday and they made the experience so special with champagne and cake to the room! We are already planning on coming back for my husbands birthday.

I stayed at the Miramar Hotel for two days while in town for a wedding, and everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, the atmosphere was stunning, and every detail felt five-star. Whether it was relaxing by the pool, enjoying the ocean views, or just soaking in the wedding festivities, it was truly unforgettable. Can’t wait for an excuse to come back!

Stopped in here for a pre dinner drink and was immediately taken care of at the inside bar. We would recommend and hope to return at some point. A bit chilly for us to hang at the beach bar but loved walking the grounds and pretty wild the train comes right through there. Kiddos must love it.

The setting here is stunning, the hotel and facilities are outstanding, and the restaurants are exceptional. But what really makes this place so special and sets it apart is the attention to detail of the staff and the warmth and depth of their hospitality. Everyone is authentic, and their sincerity and care create an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and deeply personal.

I attended a wedding here. The atmosphere was so beautiful. From the ceremony to the reception, everything ran like a well-oiled machine. The only downside, which cannot be controlled, is the train that runs through the back of the hotel & the beach. I was told that the rooms are beautiful but I didn't stay here so I can only go by what I was told.

The resort is beautiful down to every detail. It is very dog friendly. The staff is amazing, the food is amazing and the Halloween party in the bar was very creative and fun!

With Spanish Colonial Revival architecture and Moorish influences, the property boasts over one million hand-painted tiles from Morocco. Guests can enjoy upscale dining at Blackbird or casual meals at the Goat Tree cafe.
Absolutely stunning! The service was amazing from the valet drivers to the concierge. The place is immaculate! It’s walking distance to the beach and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel and also had stunning view from the rooftop pool. It’s gorgeous! Our room also had a nice view. Joseph and everyone made us feel at home.

Great location and views but the service, especially for a 5 star hotel was not great. There is no one to greet you at the door, no coffee in the lobby, no one helping you set up at the pool, no extra care or service taken as you would expect for the price and 5 star hotel. The rooms are fine but there’s nowhere to hang even hang a hand towel. Also asking for extra towels etc. took A long time to get. The pool area is much smaller than it appears to be in photos. There’s barely any staff around. It’s very confusing. What makes this a five star hotel? We even walked into a three star down the street and the front desk attendant greeted us right away, offered us coffee and tea in the lobby and that was only a three star hotel. The location is beautiful, but I would look elsewhere.

Wow! My husband surprised me with a stay here in Santa Barbara for one year wedding anniversary/ babymoon and all I can say is that this hotel was so comfortable and located in such a nice area centrally located and within walking distance to the pier and other delicious restaurants. All the details make the place magical. The customer service from ALL staff is exceptional. The bed is like sleeping on a cloud. And the pool although small is still a decent size, is warm and has a beautiful view of the pier/beach. I hope to be back with our little one soon :) thank you for making our stay here unforgettable

I spent two night at the Hotel Californian on my own and could not have had a better stay. The property is gorgeous and feels like quintessential Santa Barbara! The hotel is one block from the beach and in the heart of the Funk Zone steps away from tons of great restaurants, coffee shops and bars. The team was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable (especially important when traveling on your own). The room was extremely spacious and updated. When I arrived, I headed straight to The Society: State and Mason for one wine tasting and light bites. The team was so friendly and make me feel so comfortable. The wine were excellent! The following day, I had an amazing massage at the Majorelle Spa. The masseuse nailed the technique. The spa is small but has all the essentials you need — a sitting/relaxation area, steam room, hot team and light snacks. Overall I had a lovely stay and would absolutely come back! Highly recommend!

This is a super cute boutique hotel on State street. Located in a prime location and walking distance to the wharf, shops, and dining. They offer courtesy golf cart service to downtown for shopping, dining, and even a movie theater! Great for couples and family. We even did movie on the roof top. The pool is on a smaller end, but perfect for small groups. I experienced their spa for a massage and it was fantastic.
Kaori N — Google review
Had a lovely stay, close to everything including the beach. Valet is cheaper then all the major big cities with the same service, lots of people coming and going near the open areas, but its nice and peaceful once you card inside. There is a Large giant courtyard to breathe and relax in seclusion. Rooms had great little touches like pop up power outlets and brass fixtures. Internet worked well and handled all the video conferencing and big data uploads no problem. Nice nespresso to get a jump in the morning

Hotel Californian is an absolute dream for couples and photographers alike! Its mix of coastal charm and timeless architecture creates the perfect backdrop for romantic, sun-soaked wedding weekends. Every corner has a relaxed, elegant feel that photographs beautifully — especially with that soft Santa Barbara light. Truly one of my favorite spots to capture love stories.
Erica P — Google review
Horrible customer service. Walked into the empty bar after checking in and was told by the bartender they couldn’t serve anyone because all the tables were reserved. Again the place was completely empty except for maybe a single table at the time of this conversation (just those little reserved markers on each table). They wouldn’t even accommodate us with a glass of wine so that we could take it elsewhere to enjoy. Separately but on the same day we asked a staff member for water and they told us where to go to fetch it ourselves. Calling this 5 star is laughable and a stretch. The reviews here warning about the service are the real customer reviews. Be warned.

Le Rêve is in a convenient location, close to downtown, which initially gave me high hopes. As someone visiting from out of town and with extensive experience getting massages, I was really looking forward to a quality 90-minute massage. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The therapist started late and ended early, so I didn’t receive the full 90 minutes I paid for. While I might have overlooked this if the massage itself had been exceptional, that wasn’t the case. Rather than using traditional massage techniques with hands or fingers, the therapist relied almost entirely on her forearms, oily light petting strokes, and odd swinging motions with my arms and legs. It felt improvised and lacked the skill expected from a professional therapeutic massage. Overall, it was a waste of my time and money.

One of THE most relaxing experiences I’ve ever had… I got a full body massage and the masseuse’s fingers felt like a touch from the heavens! I definitely fell asleep and snored myself awake.. thankfully she didn’t react.. I’m sure she gets that often.. I really like how she asked if there was a specific area that I wanted her to focus on. not to mention the products she used smelt so good & left my skin feeling soft & silky. I will definitely be coming back for your other services!

I paid for myself and four of my bridesmaids to get manicures/pedicures at Le Reve for my wedding this past September totaled at about $480. The appointment itself was enjoyable. It was not until a day later that I asked my bridesmaids if they too noticed that their manicure was subpar and they said "yes, they are terrible". I ended up having to go back into the spa the day of my wedding to get the mani’s fixed. Unfortunately, the same lady (Marcie) who originally botched our mani’s was there waiting and she blamed the poorly done job on the nail polish. So to save time (because it was my wedding day) and because we knew she wouldn’t do a good job only myself, my sister in law and another bridesmaid got our nails redone. This is where the real pain begins. The day after the wedding I flew back to Sydney with my husband, but I found time to email the manager Bridgette about receiving a refund for our trouble. Over the next two weeks I called and still received no response. Finally, I got a hold of her. We talked on the phone and while I begged her for a refund she insisted that it was an industry standard not to give refunds and that because we came in again the problem was fixed; furthermore she accused me of lying about the quality of manicure we received. At the end of the conversation she confirmed that she wouldn’t give me any of my money back because she could tell I was going to leave a negative review. I got these manicures to pamper my ladies and because I had another wedding in Sydney when we got back so I hoped to have my nails looking nice for that too.. I have attached pictures to show that I was not exaggerating about the quality of manicure. Moral of the story: Bridgette was uncouth and mishandled situation and Marcie gave us bad manicures.

Been going to this wonderful place since 1988. Classic menu items like ham, roast beef and turkey subs along with speciality items like their chicken club sub. Since I moved out of the area almost 20 years ago my number of visits dropped but still managed to go once or twice every year when I visited the area for work or as a quick stop towards LA to visit family. This time was special since I got to introduce my 18 year old son to the place that many times fed me during my early years in Santa Barbara. My son noticed the Burger items and right away knew what to order. My wife stuck with classic turkey sub with provelon. It's one of her favorites. Glad to see they are ok and doing well during this time of Covid-19. Highly enjoyed my visit and I'm sure you will make the long time favorite list for my son as well.

I just had the most pleasant experience at this sandwich shop. The pastrami sandwich was nothing short of a masterpiece. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, with the perfectly seasoned and tender pastrami melting in my mouth, complemented by the freshness of the ingredients tucked within the bread. But what truly elevated this experience was the impeccable service, especially from one of the staff members. Their passion for crafting sandwiches was evident; their attention to detail and dedication to ensuring each customer's satisfaction turned a simple lunch into a memorable culinary journey. Without a doubt, this place has set a new standard for what a phenomenal sandwich should be.

My daughter was so happy to visit Cat Therapy! There were 10-11 cats that we could find (they were sleeping in nooks or up high). They were mostly happy to let us rub tummies and heads but essentially wanted to be left alone. They became much more curious when we took out what must have been a popular toy because many came to us and engaged. We have a rescue who is skittish so we knew how to interact but having them engage made it more enjoyable. The place is open and airy with benches and chairs to sit on. Comfortable and clean - no cat hair or litter tracking. We don't know the area but I would have been happy to get us tea or coffee and sit and just be with the cats. My daughter was happy as a clam just to sit and be still and definitely wants to return. Three things that I'd note: There is a smell. Not terrible but noticeable when you arrive (I just didn't expect it - which was naive). One of the cats had a cold, was sneezing repeatedly and were worried about that. A family came by and was at the window outside with little kids and they were tapping at the window and the parents or grandparents lifted the children to stand on the window ledges. They were loud and annoying to us - I can only imagine the cats. It was a nuisance and intrusive. Perhaps a sign and/or the attendant might have told them to not tap the window as it's stressful for the cats? That may be normal practice but the attendant said she was subbing and didn't have a lot of knowledge or info to share. All in all - we recommend and will revisit. We hope many more cats and rescued and adopted through Cat Therapy. *** post response from CT - thank you for letting us know. We are so glad they are on the mend!

Highly recommend this cat cafe, it is really well-maintained and the cats are so sweet. Make sure to book a time slot online if you want to guarantee entry, but walk-ins are fine too when space is available. There are also some gift shop items that you can purchase - I made sure to grab some toys for my own cats before I left!

Had a great time. Lots of very friendly and loving cats to sit and enjoy. It was purrrrfect. 😻 🐈 😻

I loved it. Perfect for cat persons that can’t own a cat for whatever the reason (ME). Perfect to sit relax and enjoy the environment. It was fairly clean as clean as you can have a cat area. You get in pay, take your shoes off, put the optional socks they offer if you want or not. You get in the cat area, sit down anywhere and wait for the cats to come to you or you can sit near them and wait patiently for their cuddles. There’s a $12 15 min option or an hour for I forgot the $$ amount. I recommend it to anyone that is an animal lover or cat lover. Enjoy!!!

San Ysidro Ranch, established in 1893, offers luxurious suites and cottages along with two restaurants and a spa. The ranch's executive chef, Matt Johnson, presents a lavish four-course menu featuring house favorites like Wagyu striploin and Maine lobster bisque. This historic ranch was the preferred California hotel during Hollywood's golden age and has hosted famous weddings including John F. Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy's honeymoon.
Our family rented two rooms for four nights to celebrate my mother‘s 95th birthday. During those four days and nights, the staff was thoughtful, caring, and attentive. The food was consistently good each of the three meals per day. The rooms were very thoroughly cleaned. The property and gorgeous flower beds were meticulously maintained. A special callout to Room Reservation Manager, Rob, and Assistant Front Office Manager, Emily, for their thoughtfulness, kindness, and help. The Ranch exceeded our expectations and is worth every penny they charge.

San Ysidro Ranch is truly a hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, everything was beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly maintained. The grounds are lush and serene, creating a private and quiet escape that feels worlds away. The service was outstanding. Everyone was welcoming, thoughtful, and accommodating in every way. It is also incredibly pet friendly, which made our stay even more special. Our dog was treated like a guest of honor. The entire property exudes luxury, from the charming cottages to the attention to detail in every space. It is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, romantic trip, or celebration. We cannot wait to return.

I came with friends today for brunch. What a gorgeous and breathtaking place!! It was our first time at the restaurant and we were so happy to choose this place. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. The service with Oscar and Liliana was amazing, friendly, kind..can't say enough with everyone in here. The food was more than enough, the champagne, everything was really good. $125 per person with all you can drink and free valet parking. I will back soon for sure!

Our recent stay at San Ysidro Ranch was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived I felt transported to an oasis of tranquility and elegance. The cottages, tucked into lush gardens under canopy trees, are exquisitely appointed and radiate charm. The interiors—complete with fireplaces, antiques, outdoor rain showers, and private gardens—made me feel like I’d checked into a storybook retreat. Every staff member I encountered was attentive, gracious, and genuinely delighted to help. The service feels 5‑star yet warm and personal. Meals at The Stonehouse and the Veranda were spectacular — cuisine rooted in herbs and produce grown on site, beautifully plated, and paired with impeccable service. Having all that included in the stay felt like a rare luxury. What truly set my experience apart was the sense of peace and seclusion. Despite being close to Santa Barbara, this feels like its own hidden world. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming of returning. San Ysidro Ranch doesn’t just meet expectations — it sets a new standard. Highly, highly recommended.

I will be back.

I was very much looking forward to visiting San Ysidro Ranch again, having stayed there a few years ago and greatly enjoying the gardens and hospitality. I booked lunch at the Stonehouse and drove from Los Angeles with a friend who is part of a large travel group based in London. The food was absolutely excellent — we both agreed it was delicious and beautifully prepared. However, I was disappointed to discover that the vegan Pad Thai with tofu was priced at $66, which appeared to be the most expensive item on the menu, even higher than the fish and oysters (apparently imported from Europe). The tofu was suggested as an addition after I had placed my order, and when I questioned the cost, I was simply referred back to the menu. This response felt dismissive, particularly as the menu had already been cleared from our table by that point. The Pad Thai was the only vegan main course available, and while the rest of the menu seemed appropriately priced for a top-quality establishment, this particular experience was disheartening. The restaurant manager’s attitude was rather curt and imperious — referring us to the menu again was unnecessarily condescending and a missed opportunity to demonstrate genuine hospitality. On a more positive note, the waiting staff were delightful and highly professional throughout our meal. After lunch, we asked if we might see one of the cottages, as my companion was curious — he works in the travel industry and often brings clients to Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the reception staff (three of whom were present and unoccupied) were unhelpful and showed little interest in assisting us. I was told that only the manager could show an unoccupied cottage, but that he was in meetings. I left a message requesting a call back to make an introduction, as my guest could be a valuable contact for potential future business with San Ysidro Ranch. Regrettably, I never received a response. What I had hoped would be a wonderful and memorable visit turned out to be quite disappointing — the opposite of the gracious hospitality I remembered. While San Ysidro Ranch remains an extraordinarily beautiful property with truly magnificent gardens and outstanding food, I left feeling embarrassed and disheartened after investing a four-hour round trip from Los Angeles to visit what I had hoped would again be a truly charming destination.

I had the best experience at MiraMed! All the girls are very friendly and welcoming. Davena greeted me as soon as I walked in to this super cute medspa and helped me fill out all my paperwork. I did a laser treatment on my face with aesthetic nurse Renee. She was very informative and walked me through the entire process. I had lip filler done for the first time, and the experience was absolutely amazing! I was a little nervous at first, but Mariah, my nurse, made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. She was so gentle, professional, and explained everything thoroughly. The numbing process worked well, and the procedure was quick and virtually painless. My lips look natural, plump, and exactly how I wanted them! I couldn’t be happier with the results. I highly recommend this place and especially Mariah - she’s the best! If you're on the hunt for an affordable and effective massage experience, look no further than Evans Relaxing Station Inc. This local gem is all about simplicity—no frills or fancy decor, just a welcoming atmosphere where you can keep your clothes on while enjoying a rejuvenating chair massage. Upon arrival, you'll register at the front desk and specify your needs regarding the type of massage, duration, and pressure level before waiting for your turn.
The true meaning of happiest place on earth!! I have had great massage therapists, shout out to Michael and David. They are true healers and are truly gifted. I love the cleanliness, time efficiency and the cost. I enjoy coming here and will continue to recommend them to friends and family. Thank you for your services!
Crystal M — Google review
I used to love Evans and I often brought family and friends. I agree with the person who said it has gone downhill since COVID. I’m writing a review to warn people that you may think you’re getting a certain therapist but while you’re face down on the table, they switch to a different person. This happens in the middle of your massage! If the second person was fabulous, I guess it might be OK but the second person is not skilled and does a terrible massage - they can even hurt you as some other recent reviewers have reported. Maybe they are the therapists that nobody wants! Or perhaps they switch to someone new who’s inexperienced and needs to be trained. I’ve asked them not to do this and they do it anyway. The last time I went, I bought a massage for myself and two other people and all our massages were horrible. I haven’t been back since. I don’t like saying something negative that will impact the therapist there that are good at what they do but at the same time I felt ripped off on more than one occasion and the bad therapists are ruining it for the good ones.

I am from out of town visiting family and decided to try this out today. I walked in and was immediately and quietly guided through the choices. I selected the combo, 30 minutes massage and 30 minutes foot and lower leg massage. We went to the very back, where 6 tables are set up for massage, I put my belongings into a basket and laid down, a thin sheet was put over me and the massage began. I had selection level 5 for intensity of massage but asked to have it lowered within a few minutes, which it was. It was a nice strong deep massage, working everything from head to glutes. The sheet came off and I was disrespected to one of the chairs for leg/feet massage area and to put my feet into a container of hot-ish water for about 5 minutes. Then my person returned and started working on my feet and legs, it was very nice and relaxing, I chuckled a couple of times when he hit a ticklish spot on my feet, but otherwise I just reclined and enjoyed it.. I looked up several times to watch one of the ladies in the middle room, walking on a persons back, that was fascinating to see,. This will be a place I return to next trip. The only sour note was a boorish woman who took a call and talked loudly for a long time and didn’t take it outside in consideration of others who were relaxing..

Evan's truly takes the ache away if you're in need of a Chinese "Shiatsu." Shiatsu is actually Japanese, but it's based on the same holistic system of Chinese medicine as acupuncture. I'm not sure what Evan's (or "Evans") is calling their work, but most of the people I've worked with there do a similar kind of massage. Since being introduced to Evan's a few months ago, I've been there 10 times. All but one of those experiences was excellent. The one that was not “excellent,” was just “so-so." I've had shiatsu treatments since I moved to Tokyo in the late 80s. A decade later, when I returned to Santa Barbara, good fortune struck again. I found another master. Sadly, he retired during COVID, and I’ve been in search of someone to take his place ever since. My girlfriend recommended Evan’s. At $49/hour, there wasn’t a lot of money at risk. My first massage there was outstanding. I tipped $20 on the $49. When I asked the masseuse his name, he said, “Dave.” I laughed. He didn’t speak English or seem like a “Dave,” but none of that mattered. I walked out feeling the pain from my back, neck, and shoulders was GONE. I felt 100% better than when I walked in. Isn’t that the whole point? A few things to note about the unique nature of Evan’s Relaxing Station. The first thing you have to do upon arrival is put your name on a list, circle how long you want your foot, chair, or back massage to be, and then how strong you’d like it. The mysterious scale goes from 1-7. 7 is the strongest. I usually like it deep and strong, but circled 6 & 7 to indicate something between. Sometimes that means the masseuse might actually need to walk on your back, using the weight of their body and their feet like hands. Truthfully, I didn’t enjoy that so much, even though they were very good at it. I’ve since taken to simply circling 6 and have not been tread upon since. It’s hard to get the same masseuse. Even if they’re working. They don’t take reservations. Walk-ins only. They mostly just assign you to whoever is just finishing or already free. My girlfriend said you can wait for your fave to finish, but I’ve never done that. I’ve seen “Dave” and “Andy” more than once and have been glad of it. These folks work HARD. I don’t know how they do it. That’s one of the reasons I’ve continued tipping 30%. My girlfriend’s a masseuse who was forced to retire early due to injury. She, too, can’t imagine how many hours a day the people at Evan’s do this physical bodywork. Walking into Evan’s is like teleporting to China. In spite of their Western-sounding names, I’ve not met anyone there who truly speaks English. That’s okay, but it would be nice if there was one functionally bilingual person. Recently, I came up with an idea to close the gap. Using Google Translate, I wrote what I liked and didn’t like in my massage. Then printed it out in Simplified Chinese. I handed that to Andy, who’d worked on me a couple of times. He read it. seemed to get it, and I had one of the best, most targeted shiatsu experiences I’ve ever had. You might try that the next time you go. Don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner. Okay, I know this is long-winded, but the bottom line is that I think this is a pretty great place. A little rough around the edges, but it’s been truly amazing for pain relief. I’ve had a lot of pain in my back, neck, and shoulders since a freak cycling accident and the surgery that followed. I know some of the finest deep-tissue massage therapists in town. They’re extraordinary. But I’ve always needed both: deep tissue work and shiatsu. They’re different and reach into different areas of pain and release. Evan’s Relaxing Station should really be called Evan’s “Relaxation” Station to ride the alliteration. That aside, it’s a great place, open late, and half the price of a private masseuse in Santa Barbara. Seems like they keep winning the “Best of” in The Independent’s polling, so perhaps others feel similarly.
Mick G — Google review
The worst relaxing experience. The masseur squeezed my neck violently, and there was no sign of improvement the next day. He knelt beside me and rubbed me all the time, and kept stimulating me with the tip of his elbow, and made strange noises from time to time. The last receipt I saw was his work number. I hope my feedback will be taken seriously by the boss. My friends have stopped coming here one after another.
EMILY — Google review
This place has seriously gone downhill after covid. Not only was the massage painful, but it seemed very unprofessional. The guy was doing things like pinching my upper back, going back to my neck three times, lifting my shirt to look at my tattoo, positioning my arms is very uncomfortable positions, pausing to talk to other massage therapists, and coughing every few minutes. At the end he thought he deserved more than 15% of tip and kept asking for a higher tip to the point where he got angry with me. Worst massage I've ever experienced.
Danny R — Google review
This was honestly the worst massage I’ve ever had. Yeah its a good price but it was so bad. I went with two other friends and they also did not like it. They were so repetitive with their motions and put barely any effort. I asked them to move to a different area on my body and they didn’t understand me. He also sat most of my massage and I could just tell when I saw him he was so stressed and not personable with me at all. I didn’t want a massage by him and thought I would give him a try but man I was so disappointed. Save your money and do not go here!!!! They even required my friend to tip them at least ten dollars when tips are supposed to be dependent on the service they give. Poor service.
Lisa M — Google review
Disclaimer: I only go for chair massages. I have never had a bad experience, I always feel better after I leave. Very reasonable prices, please tip them well as they work hard. Setting is one big room, no walls. Language could be a barrier, depending on who's working the front so don't be afraid to point if you have a specific area you want them to work on. Everyone is very understanding.

The spa's affordable prices make it an attractive option for those looking to relax and rejuvenate. Despite the communal setting, customers have found the experience to be incredibly relaxing and worth recommending to others.
Went in with my husband for a foot massage. I ended up with back massage too. My muscles were very tight and she worked on them all ! The foot massage was exceptionally good. His foot massage was great too. He said she worked on his toes which he didn’t even know he had a problem with and was really pleased with how it left his feet feeling. Really recommend this little place.
Vivienne B — Google review
The staff were friendly and the massage was very professional. I kept getting asked if the pressure was OK throughout my massage which I appreciate him asking. The reason why I give it 3 stars is because during my massage, one of the ladies open the curtain and started talking to my masseuse for about 4 minutes and it made me uncomfortable. Another issue I had was he only massaged my back and my hamstrings. I asked if he could massage my front legs as well because they were sore, but I was laying faced down for 60 minutes while he only massaged the back part of my body. There was also a language barrier between him and I so I communicated through a female masseuse at the beginning asking her to translate what I wanted him to focus on, but he didn’t.

Nice foot massage at a very reasonable price which I would recommend. But do not go there for back massages. It was a painful experience and even if you like stronger massages this is too much and not good for your health

Hurts so good! I just ended a week of vacation with hours in automobiles and my back in a lot of pain. My masseuse asked me what kind of pressure I wanted, and I like it hard. She worked out several knots along my spine. 👍 Needless to say, I was very satisfied with the massage and very kind service provided to me as an amputee. Thank You!

The experience I had with SB Aesthetics could not have been better!   It was a fantastic first visit. The intake process was straightforward, and scheduling an appointment was a simple process.  They were able to get me in pretty quickly which I really appreciated.  The girls in the front were extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions or address any concerns that I had. When I walked into the building, I was greeted with a smile by office staff. I was apprehensive because I hadn't had any aesthetic procedures done in a couple of years. During my consultation with Dr. Sheffield, he explained the various treatment options available to me and which would be the most beneficial to me. He even helped me work with my budget for my procedures, which was very kind.  They take Care Credit, which made dealing with the cost easy. We did first did my firs fillers and then the Botox treatment, and he was always checking in on me to make sure I was doing well. I was in no pain at all, and the treatment went by much more quickly than I had anticipated. The entire staff was extremely professional, courteous, and efficient. SB Aesthetics is a welcoming environment where I feel totally at ease. Thank you so much for providing such a memorable experience!! Thank you so much for everything; I will be back very soon!

Dr. Sheffield was great and he is very gentle with a great technique. I didn’t have any pain from the Botox injections, I didn’t feel a thing which is amazing. Recovering from a knee I just so wanted to book some massages to help the healing process. Bought a $160 package for myself. Had a good masage and used $130 of the GC. I was told I had a $30 credit. At that time I bought a $160 massage /facial gift certificate for my wife for this past Christmas. Spending some $ here. I booked a future appt and the day of I was pretty sick and I was having car trouble. I don't not want it infect the staff with my sickness I rescheduled the appt (not canceled all together ) for a future date. The receptionist on the phone said no problem we will Reschedule you. I had my massage on the reschedule day anf when I was going to pay and use the $30'credit she said I don't have one. After some back and forth, she said oh I see you used it on a stretch, not even remotely true. Then she said it was used when you rescheduled as a cxl fee. First of all I rescheduled but beyond that the receptionist at that time never mentioned I would be charged my $30 credit, just no problem will reschedule. When I mentored this to the staff they said nope sorry you got charged. I said to them that's unfair without the notice of that charge when I called to reschedule and I was planning on coming back 2 x a month to get more massages, more $$ for massage envy but still wouldn't waive that fee, so I said ok hope that sneaky fee you charged without telling me even though I still booked a massage and that $30 was worth it because now you lost future $ from me for more massages. Doesn't make sense. Truly disappointing. Corporate feel for sure.👎🏼👎🏼

I scheduled my appointment the day prior. I drove 45 minutes to my appointment. I showed up to my appointment and the massage therapist Alessandro had canceled at the last minute. I was told i could reschedule for the following week “with a free enhancement”. At this point, i rather take my business elsewhere. Very unprofessional.

Terrible! Some very mediocre to pour massages. I was in a car accident, and spent three months in a coma and eight months in therapy. When I was able to get massages, I started going for regular visits and was continuously unhappy. I had a shunt installed due to the car accident and had an issue. Had to go back to the hospital for three months for more surgeries and when I got out, I approached massage envy about canceling my membership and receiving a refund for the time I spent in the hospital, unable to use the hundred dollars a month which total $500 of unused massages and they refuse to credit new massages or refund the money So not only are the massages extremely subpar. But the customer service and business practices are terrible.
Charles N — Google review
They rescheduled on me only a day or two before because the person I was scheduled with no longer works there. Then I went in for a 60 min massage and it was only 45 min… I talked with the management and they said it’s 50 min hands on and 10 min to get set up. But that was never communicated with me. Even if it is 50 min hands on I still got shorted 5 min. Overall really disappointing especially for the high price point.
Madison M — Google review
I can't comment on my massage, because I never got one. I had booked a couples massage for my husband and I for his birthday 2 weeks in advance, thinking a massage would be a nice surprise for him since we have a 6 month old. The day before our appointment I got a call confirming our appointment, I was more than looking forward to it. The day of our appointment I got a voice mail around 2:00 saying one therapist would not be there, that they would have to cancel my appointment. Being in the beauty industry, I thought it was strange they would completely cancel, and not try to book another therapist. After talking with the receptionist we booked another couples massage for the same day but a later time, after getting the babysitter to agree to a different time and changing our dinner plans. About an hour before our appointment (note: the second one I booked), I received yet another call canceling our appointment completely. Not only had I changed my plans once, now, on my husbands birthday I had nothing for him. I wouldn't recommend this business, and if you do try it out don't bother making any plans.

I really like Massage Envy in Santa Barbara. I think they offer a good, clean and calm environment and great therapists . I was attended by several therapists in the last 8 years . Some already left. My recommendations (as of 2019) are: for deep tissue go with Andy (he is great and very experienced). For a firm but painless massage, go with Gabrielle (she is new, pretty good). For a light one, good in days that we need a good night of sleep, go with Grace. There are many others that are great too; i do not recollect anyone that i did not like. If interested in facial, go with Jesse - she is wonderful and knows what she is doing.

The spa provides personalized facials, waxing, body treatments, and custom makeup services tailored to meet individual goals for relaxation and effectiveness. Clients praise the owner's caring and personable approach, efficient and painless waxing at reasonable prices, as well as the impressive results of monthly facials.
Dona is amazing at what she does. She took the time to ask me questions about my skin and what I needed, and then explain thoroughly what she was about to do. It was very relaxing, and I will definitely go back and see her again.

I've been coming to Dona for about two years. She is simply the best. My facial appointments are always customized to ensure that I don't have any flare-ups of my skin condition, and I always enjoy the benefits of her treatments. Dona listens to the needs of her clients. While on maternity leave, she prepared three months of customized at-home facials for me, with detailed instructions and relaxation resources. I'm truly grateful to have met Dona, and I look forward to continuing my skincare with her guidance and talents!

Dona made my skin glow, so I couldn’t resist leaving her a *glowing* review. I have sensitive skin and several health conditions, and I had never gotten a facial before. Dona was referred to me by a friend and I’m so glad she was. Dona is incredibly thorough, scheduling a consultation up front to determine my specific & unique needs as well as the best product options for me. I REALLY appreciated that she was willing to work with me, financially, as I have relatively low income. She picked just the services I need, and is incredibly accommodating in terms of budget (and encourages you to try before you buy!). Overall it was a relaxing and restorative session in her beautifully decorated spa. My skin was quite literally hydrated and glowing when I left her office, and the difference was instantly noticeable. Additionally, the products she recommended that I try have truly upped my skin care game - they keep my skin clear and hydrated, and they are so light-weight I often forget I’m even wearing anything on my face. I am not exaggerating when I say my skin has never looked this good, and I truly can’t wait for my next appointment with her!! Thank you, Dona! <3

Lisa is a very generous, caring and excellent aesthetician. I really enjoyed her signature her Venus Delight treatment that combined tuning fork and the facial treatment all together. I am a facial enthusiast and go to different spas or skin clinics, I would say that her treatment is great value for all the additional things she add in the treatment: head, shoulder, back, and hand massages, vibration acoustic, heat dome, infrared light therapy….. I went back for the Venus delight a second time, because I noticed a difference the vibration frequency opened up my meridian pathways, and I felt less heavy in my heart, less foggy in my brain and just happier, stress-free. It really helped me get through a personal life event that deeply affected me mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Every time I finish a treatment, I felt so relaxed and spoiled. She takes good care of her clients, and she gives her best! She is also a very intuitive practitioner, and she received message from my spirit guides, and it was exactly what I needed at the moment to boost my morale. I highly recommend Lisa!

I have been going to Dona for the past almost 3 years for waxes and she does a phenomenal job. Dona truly cares about each one of her clients and I’ve never left an appointment without a smile on my face. Dona is incredibly friendly and personable and gives efficient and painless waxes at a reasonable cost! I would recommend anyone thinking about Dona Bella Spa give it a try. I’ve gone to many estheticians and other salons in my life and Dona has blown all of them out of the water. Thanks Dona for consistently providing amazing services!

I absolutely love my monthly facials with Dona! I get the ultimate Donna Bella, and I am truly impressed with how I have shed my dull complexion. My skin now glows! I often get compliments on how great I look and that I look even younger now than before Covid! Her products are fantastic and she is always taking classes and introducing new products and services. She will even custom make a foundation for you – how cool is it to have a foundation that perfectly complements your skin tone! I can’t wait to try her soon to be available multi sensory relaxation room.

I did my first ever virtual facial with Dona and wow, what an amazing experience! Dona is not only super easy going, but she is so knowledgeable about skincare. I felt very comfortable meeting with her over zoom for our first consult and the actual facial blew my mind. She walked me through each part of the facial but would break in between for meditation and journaling. That truly was an amazing experience that I would recommend for everyone!! She has also been very easy to reach with additional questions and I look forward to continue working with her more in the future!
Mari G — Google review
I did a virtual facial with Dona and it was wonderful! I have never done a facial on myself and I didn't think I could. However, Dona reassured me that this would be a simple facial that anyone could do on their own but using "world class products" and she did NOT disappointment. My skin felt like silk at the end and even the next morning. I kept having to remind myself not too touch. Dona has made it her mission and passion to incorporate meditation and journaling into her facial experiences which is unlike anything else I have ever experienced. The best part of it all is that it is VIRTUAL! I am here in New Jersey and received 5+ star treatment from across the country! I will absolutely be booking again and referring family and friends!

The two of us both had a great experience at Spa Del Mar. Yes the decor could do with a little refreshing, but the important thing- the massage was fantastic. The therapists we each had were professional, experienced, and able to adapt the massage to our individual needs. We paid for an hour massage and got a full hour. No set up and clean up time. Rooms perfect temp and the table warmed also. The hot foot towels were over the top!!! We felt very special. Thanks Spa Del Mar.

My husband and I both went for a full body one hour massage. For the price we both expected a thorough massage, but we both felt we were cut short. An hour was a perfect amount of time but I left feeling pain in my back because it wasn’t rubbed out the way I expected during a full body massage. The masseuse were nice, but the overall quality didn’t meet our expectations.
Teresa P — Google review
What a treat! From the beautiful ambience to the most comfortable robes, and of course the amazing body works! I typically don't fall asleep for massage but I admit I did here. Good products and the warmth of the masseuse top notch!

Probably one of the best massages I ever have had when on vacation in early September. Julie Lindner was amazing, gentle and strong, friendly but quiet. I was extra exhausted going in and VOILA--an hour later I was refreshed and revitalized! Thanks Julie!
Jill H — Google review
I would have given this one star had the facial not been spectacular. The massage was awful She jerked me around and there was no fluidity at all. She kinda even scratched me at times with her nails and it was like she was just trying to rub in the oil the whole time not massage my muscles. The ambiance was lacking - like Walmart decor and it’s EXTREMELY overpriced. The facialist was incredible though and did an amazing amazing job. She deserves to be in a much better spa.
Jordan W — Google review
I organized a spa day for a bridal shower of 12 girls at the Spa Del Mar, Julie was extremely helpful in accommodating our large party. We had the spa to ourselves for 3 hours, and everyone who got a treatment raved about their experience. We were even given passes to use the hotel pool, which was great for people who didn't have or were waiting for treatments. I will definitely be back at the Spa Del Mar next time I am back in Santa Barbara!

Got a couple's massage with the wifey. Chelsea was my massage therapist. She was absolutely amazing. She massaged out all the pain. Chelsea is one of two massage therapist that have actually massaged the pain away. My wife had Silvia and said she was amazing. Everyone was professional and they took care of business.
Dan W — Google review
My bestie Sue said to spoil myself with a massage at Santa Barbara Spa Del Mar on the beachfront. Seriously, why should the tourists have all the fun? I called up for a massage and was offered deep tissue for a bit more. I love the therapeutic benefits of deep tissue so I upgraded. When I arrived at the Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort from work with my shoulder bag of massage clothes, I found the spa right by the pool area. It was so cheerful and started my mini vacation off on the right foot! My masseuse turned out to be the owner Julie. She knows the definition of deep tissue. I'd been having low grade neck pain and she spent time on my neck and I'm typing this pain free. Her hands were intuitive and I think she has excellent skills. One of the biggest surprises and pleasures was the use of hot towels. When they went on my back I melted happily and when they went on my feet I floated. Oh and can I tell you that I'm the girl that gets cold easily and they had a heated table. Yum. This is why you go to a really good spa. For the beauty of the decor that relaxes you and pampers your eyes. Then for the high level of skill and the special spa treats like the hot towels. Oh, and they have a cute little private patio to go hang out in. It would be so perfect for a group of women to have a pampering party. I'm really impressed with my spa massage, truly helped by the deep tissue method and letting you know you gotta go!

Their team of skilled massage therapists and estheticians create a tranquil environment, providing services such as massages, facials, and aromatherapy. They are known for accommodating last-minute appointments and delivering professional and relaxing experiences.
Pam provided an incredibly relaxing experience for both my husband and I this past weekend. We each booked a combination 75 min massage and facial, and the whole experience was so easy that I wondered why we’d never booked in-home massage services before! Pam communicated with me via email and text to confirm our booking, and set clear expectations about her setup and breakdown times that were not included in our overall service time so we could plan our day accordingly. The massage had the right amount of pressure, while the facial was so soothing and thorough that my skin felt rejuvenated and refreshed afterwards. Pam also kept everything neat and organized, so cleanup was quick and efficient when she was through. I would highly recommend Pam for anyone seeking a relaxing experience in the comfort of their own home (or in our case, while on vacation) that is so reasonably priced and easy to coordinate!

As a native of Japan, I've gotten many hours of massages but it's rare I find a massage therapist I'm happy with, especially at places like fashionable spas. I want deep pressure & want therapist's thumbs going IN acupuncture spots along my shoulder blades & on top of my shoulders, you know? Pam was great & her pressure was just right! My friend got a massage from another therapist & she was happy, too. (Sorry, I can't remember the name of another therapist). I highly recommend Mobile Spa Infinita.

I was in Santa Barbara for a vacation and I wanted to get a massage in my room at my hotel. I called and left a message and Pamela got right back to me. We agreed on a date and time a few days later. She texted me a confirmation right away w date and time. When the day came she sent me a confirmation that day. She arrived on time and was very professional. She gave me a great massage and it was truly a wonderful experience. I would definitely call her again when in the area.

I waited way too long to book an appointment for a hairstylist on my wedding day (who knew you had to do that 3+ months in advance...lol) but luckily Salon Del Mar still had availability on my date. I did not do a hair trial so I was a bit nervous that morning but the stylist was super helpful and very professional. I showed her some pictures of the type of up-do I was thinking and as she went she would ask if I would rather have option A or B when it came to some of the smaller details. I LOVED how my hair turned out for the wedding and it lasted perfectly all day. I had my hair done at noon and when I took it out around 1am it still looked surprisingly good (also despite the entire wedding being outdoors and taking wedding party pictures on the bluffs where it was windy!). Would definitely recommend Salon Del Mar to other brides!

Adore Cosmetics, based in Santa Barbara, California, is a company that specializes in offering a range of cosmetics and perfumes. For more details about their products and services, you can reach out to them directly.
This place is a scam, they almost drag you into the store, once in they don't really let you leave, they start using all of these 'magical' products which replace botox and surgery. These magical results are approved by the other workers who can see a 'mayor' difference in skin where the product was used. They try to convince you that the 1.2k lotion is worth every penny especially because it's on a sale for 399.
Robert K — Google review
Avoid this place! Deceptive and pushy sales tactics! Ridiculously expensive products. Sales lady offers "free gift" outside their door while we're walking through El Paseo. Then without asking permission, she squirts something on the back of my hand and tells me she wanted me to come in "for 20 seconds" to apply it. She sits me down and without asking permission again, she starts taking off makeup under my eye and places some of this stuff on my hand under only one eye. Then she leaves toward the back, handing me off to another lady who is giving this hardcore sales pitch for this eye cream/serum that is supposed to be used once a week. $750 for the tube! Do I look like I'm made of money?? I don't think so! She made the pitch as if I said I wanted to spend $$$ on my face to look younger. I'm older and accept that I'm aging. My mom returned my phone call right then. I jumped out of the chair and ran out of the store, saying I had to take that call. After the call, I walked on the other side of the mall walkway quickly, never looking back. I was so angry and felt violated.

ZERO stars! You cannot walk by this shop without being verbally strong armed by thug like sale personnel trying to get your attention. I filed a complaint with the Paseo Nuevo Management. I urge others to do the same. You can go to their website and find the contact information. The other day I walked on the opposite side across from the store thinking they would leave me alone as I passed by. Wrong! The woman literally yelled at the top of her lungs as I passed by and would not let up. These people need to stop harassing Paseo Nuevo shoppers!

She is very knowledgeable and uses only the most effective products and ingredients. She is also kind, and cares about her clients. I often get comments about how amazing my skin looks, and I attribute most of that to Audrey. I am not overstating when I say my appointments with Audrey are the highlight of my month - just ask her!

I have been a client of Audrey and the ZenSpa for many years, but have never had a facial. I finally decided to treat myself to one, and am so happy that I did!! From the moment you enter the ZenSpa, the subtle aromas soothe and relax...and smell so good! Audrey tailored the facial to suit my specific needs and it was just what my skin needed. Audrey is incredibly knowledgeable and her touch is so very gentle. In fact, when I left, I could barely function, I was that relaxed! I can't wait for my next appointment. Audrey's level of care, is second to none. I highly recommend that you book a treatment at ZenSpa...you will feel refreshed and rejuvenated. Go ahead ....and love yourself 💕

I started going to Zen Spa about 2-3 years ago because I had really bad acne all over my face that developed during covid. Audrey is so sweet and personalizes appointments to your skincare needs. Since seeing her, my skin has completely cleared and I feel so much more confident about my skin. I highly recommend if you want a relaxing experience and effective treatments!

Audrey gave me an incredible facial that left me glowing! She didn't want me to put makeup on for the rest of the day, but I had so much to do - so I did it bare faced and got so many compliments! And my skin felt so good for a week! Well worth every penny spent. She really know skin!

I went to Santa Barbara for a vacation. It was a pleasant surprise to discover Zen Spa. Jessica worked on my back and neck which was my trouble spots. She did a wonderful job. Will definitely go back again.

I’ve been coming to see Audrey at Zen Spa for about 3 years and she has helped my skin feel and look the best that it ever has. Audrey keeps a clean workspace with a relaxing aura and is a very sweet person. She uses high quality products and I particularly love the various aromas of the products she’s used. Audrey has taught me many ways for me to keep my skin looking and feeling healthier. Audrey is a true master of her craft. Coming to see Audrey is always the highlight of that day and I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a kind and professional esthetician. I can’t say enough good things about Zen Spa and Audrey.
