A beautiful place. The beach is clean and watery clear. On this beach there is a hidden pool surrounded by a cluster of corals with a depth of 1.5 meters. This beach is also known as a favorite snorkeling spot for tourists. For those who have a hobby of fishing, in this beach area there is a reef hill that became a favorite place of the anglers to try their fishing ability.

Beautiful spot for camping. Perfect place for hunting sunset and playing water volley. You should really try sleeping under the majestic sky at night. Since there is no mosquitos here, you can enjoy sleeping outside your tent, accompanied by the sound of the waves and night creatures. Unforgettable memories.

One of great beach in Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. The road here is rather in good condition, yet pretty far from Jogja City, for like 2hrs by vehicle. Parking lot is spacious, and the beach is located below hill, so there's stairs toward the beach. So many street vendors, so you no need worry if you're hungry. The beach is still pristine. White sands, and the water color is beautiful. There's also a laguna, here, but you still need walk along the beach a bit far. You can swim here but be careful since the sea actually part of Indian Ocean and the wave and wind sometime so harsh.

the beach is lower than the parking lot so we have to go down the stairs. Not too far but rather steep. if you are tired, motorcycle taxis are available for 5,000 rupiah. Visitors are not allowed to swim because there are more rocks and big waves. always use sunblock because the sun is very strong.

This is an absolutely stunning beach. The sunset is right on the water. There's swimming and surfing, and the food there is very cheap. I stayed in a cottage only 50 meters from the beach, and at night I had the beach all to myself. The local people there are so friendly. What an amazing experience. I will be back soon.

I came here after class, heading out around noon and arriving in the late afternoon. Luckily, it wasn’t crowded at all when we got there, which made the whole experience even better. The peaceful atmosphere really allowed us to relax, enjoy the view, and just spend quality time with friends without any distractions or noise. The beach was surprisingly clean, probably because there weren’t too many visitors that day. It made walking around barefoot and sitting by the shore feel really pleasant. There was no trash lying around, and the water looked clear and calm, which added to the charm of the place. Access to the beach was also easy, with a fairly smooth road that wasn’t hard to follow or navigate. We didn’t run into any rough or tricky terrain, so it’s definitely a place that’s accessible for motorbikes or cars without much trouble. If you’re planning to visit, I highly recommend coming in the late afternoon. The vibe during that time is just perfect — not too hot, with a soft breeze, and the kind of lighting that makes everything look even more beautiful. A super chill spot to unwind after a long day!

A good beach, clean, provides all facilities such as food or toilets, and you can choose between the pricey restaurant or the cheapest one. Better you check the weather first cause the big wave will come on the middle of the year

Very beautiful, today everybody found a lot of water sources near each other, there was a hole going in under the tough solid rock (not the rocks in the beach or the sand, but just the rock like the normal rock you stand on.) . Some say that there is a river, some say there was just water sources. Though the second is correct. I have been there for hours but water still flows from that exact location of the water sources. You should also be careful in the seashore. There are sea urchins. In the rocks if you see a hole going below the rocks, do NOT reach your hand inside it without seeing what is inside, because there might be a sea urchin. The very seashore, should have sea urchins the size of a marble, if you go further away from seashore, you will find bigger ones under the rocks that have bigger holes. The bigger ones is estimated to be the size of a ping pong. But we didn't go far from the seashore. So BE CAREFUL.

I always love this beach. White sand and so clean. We can take gorgeous photos from any angle. The beach is beautiful and has big waves so it is not recommended swimming for beginners and kids. Typical of the sea in the southern part of Indonesia. But there are some spots where children can play water comfortably. And don’t be lazy to always keep clean wherever you are. Peace!!!

The beach view is beautiful with blue water and white sand, we can also swim or just play the water in the beach. There is also a hill but if we want to climb it up we have to pay again but unfortunatelly there many tourists who still throw therl rubbish. For the facilities there are many public toilets, small mosque. But to get there it takes about 2 hours by car.

Compare to beach located at parang tritis, better this one. Not bad, still got good view and sunset. Around 2 hours from city center, charge 10.000 rupiah per person for entrance ticket but this entrance ticket is for all beach in beaches area. If not mistake theres around 15-20 beaches, but for each beach you have to pay parking. Variative for charge, indrayanti beach charge 10.000.theres several local store and much local people rent a mat and umbrella beach, cash payment methode and a lot toilet here. Swimming is prohibited at this beach, but you can play at sea shore. Guard beach will be reminder if you to far from sea shore. Ovar all was good, local restaurant quite expensive for the price but still affordable.

Came here again. Actually this place was my fav beach, the lastest I came here was around 3 years ago. I loved the white sand, the big stone on the right is so instagramable. But, I was quite surprised about the fnb price. You need to spent for 23K for a whole coconut. It was only around 18K but now is not affordable anymore.

Alright, but not a must-visit. The views are pretty, and it is rather quiet and uncrowded - which is a nice combination. The walk from the carpark is maybe about 10 to 15 minutes (slightly tiring, but not difficult), and that is followed by a ride on a makeshift raft for another 10 minutes before we get to the waterfall. Along the walk there are some small stalls which look like they are run by some of the families that live nearby, and who sell some simple and unexpensive snacks and drinks. Might be a good idea to purchase a couple of small items from them to support their efforts to earn an honest living. Have to pay for entrance and the raft ride, the combination of which makes things slightly pricey, but not ridiculously so. Heard from our guide though, that this is supposed to be a public place and the collection of entrance fees is done by a group of unregulated local thugs who do nothing for the upkeep of the place - was not able to independently verify if this is accurate.

"Not recommended as a destination until they address their management issues. Several incidents during my visit left me frustrated. Firstly, the cost: there are options to reach the waterfall either by walking or by boat. Opting for the boat requires a payment of Rp. 10,000 per person for a round trip. The problem arose when, after paying for six people, the boat left us stranded during our return trip. Despite waiting for an hour, it did not return, prompting us to walk back to the entrance. Another issue concerns the area near the waterfall. Besides the main waterfall, there is a small path leading to the river. Intrigued by the sight of a foreigner and a tour guide walking the path, my friends and I decided to follow. Excitement turned to disappointment when the tour guide yelled at us, insisting it was a forbidden area unsuitable for tourism. When questioned about a foreigner being allowed, he simply stated the foreigner was with him. Only later did we notice a sign on a tree indicating the boundaries of a play area, which we hadn't seen initially as the tour guide casually walked there. Subsequently, they even crossed the river and played in the area. Lastly, in addition to the unpleasant events, I advise against visiting during the rainy season. The river becomes dirty and murky, making swimming unappealing."

Lovely place to have a swim and it's a bit off the beaten track so pretty quiet when I went midweek. 25k for entry, 20k to swim in the river (you need to have a lifejacket) Not sure about the boat, as I walked and it only takes about ten minutes. It's mostly downhill, so a bit trickier going back up!

The waterfall is so beautiful, and the surrounding area is also very calming. Although I think the waterfall area is not large enough to accommodate many people, so be aware when you visit it during the weekend. Entry ticket is affordable, and the parking area for both car and motorcycle are available. The road not so good at some point, so please be careful.

One of the easiest accesible waterfall in jogja region. From the parking lot to the waterfall only took about 10 minutes walk + boat ride of 10 thousand (June 2019), you can challenge yourself to walk towards the waterfall, but I chose the easy way. It was in the dry season when I went here, but the water flowed quite a lot (I wasn't expecting this). You can opt to swim on the river near the waterfall but it is very cold (it was around 11am). This site provided a good exposure for you who wanted to see and feel the sensation of being in a waterfall. There are no toilets near to the waterfall, but quite a lot near the parking area or near the food vendors. Squat toilet and clean water are available.

great recreational place, we can enjoy beautiful waterfall here. although we have to walk for about 2 km from the parking area to the waterfall. if you are too tired to walk, you can also use the flying fox or small ship they provided there. there are some store sell gorengan and clothes as well.

great for vacation with your family even little child because there is part of the beach that the wave not so great, so little child can play more safe there is a hill at left side also that all ready have a wooden stairs to climb easily, and can get a great spot for taking photo with around View

Drini Beach is located in Gunung Kidul. It's a place where fishermen gather to catch fish, which they then sell fresh. Like other beaches, Drini Beach has its own canoeing area, unlike other beaches. There are plenty of affordable food stalls with friendly service. I recommend this beach for tourists who are bored with just playing in the water and taking photos, as it offers canoeing.

The best time to enjoy the beach is in the morning before 9 a.m. it offers canoeing, which is quite safe for children and adults

The beach was exceptionally clean. Remember to apply sunscreen and bring an umbrella for shade. I particularly enjoyed the beach because it offers calm waters without strong waves. This makes it safe for swimming, provided you stay within a reasonable distance from the shore. There are plenty of picturesque spots perfect for photography. Additionally, you can discover crabs, fish, and various sea creatures along the shore.

This beach is nice, suitable for families, the sunset view in the afternoon is good for taking pictures. Complete beach facilities such as prayer rooms, gazebos, toilets, etc. There are stalls selling various types of sea fish such as sea shells, squid, grouper, etc.

It's a two-hour drive from Yogyakarta through some mountain and jungle road and some villages. The beach was very clean. What's unique about this beach is that there is a small coral island in the middle of the sea, accessible by bridge. You have to pay 5k IDR to pass the bridge. From that island you can have a nice and beautiful view to the layer of mountains surrounding the beach.

Two beaches are not so big, one beach is towards the open sea and the other one is more like lagoon for canoeing exercise. Plenty beach umbrellas but for a fee for those sensitive to sunlight. Food can be slightly expensive though. Beach is free entrance and pay for your parked vehicle.

We’re a group of young and growing adults, aged 11 to 44, and had an incredible time thanks to the friendly and attentive guides. You can bring your phone in a waterproof bag (sold on-site), but we hired a photographer to capture the moments—so we could fully enjoy the experience without distractions. Having done cave river explorations before, this one stood out. We got to swim, jump, and fully immerse ourselves in the water. Some areas are shallow and rocky, while others are deep, so it’s important to stay alert. The local guides—who know the terrain well—were always nearby, keeping us safe. We also did the Oyo River tubing, which was another highlight. While waiting for the transfer back to base, we enjoyed some Indomie and drinks. Bring spare clothes and towels to wash up—basic items are also available for purchase if needed. The whole adventure felt like a real-life Universal Studio's Jurassic Park—wild, natural, and so much fun.

I enjoyed this trip a lot. The guid made a great job keeping us entertained on the way. We also enjoyed some cliff diving.

Awesome area 🤩 for river tubing, you will pass through a cave full of stalactites and witness the wonderful rock formations. You will also have the opportunity to jump into the water at some point too. Fun filled activity on a sunny ☀️ day.

If you are looking for a day full of fun activities with your family and enjoy nature, this is the right place to go. You can experience a one hour off-road tour with jeep in the surrounding, visit the Goa and at last do a river tour with big buoys. The whole program last about 4 hours and not much empty time, except from time to time having some rest with drinks and snacks. Also a high thumb to the staff there who are really helping and professional.

Ventured into the local attractions and it was a delight! The tour guide's friendly nature and engaging storytelling made the cave and local history feel like fascinating adventures. The beach was great, the sand and the water wasn't polluted so it's very enjoyable especially if you bring childrens here they'll love the sand! There are several places offerings foods, drinks, and even tents and mattress since the beach are available for tents. Although the beach was rather far (esp from the city) but it was worth the long ride. The beach is very lovely!

Great Hidden Gems for Jogja Tourism. Please keep the cleanliness. Beware of using the toilets here, they will charges you without any infornation before. The beach was great, good view, clean sands. This beach is not forbiden for swimming or any sea-water activities, dangerous wave but it is beautiful. Enjoy!

White sand, clean, breezy wind, small sawungs selling indomie. Perfect! Not so crowded here. Pinched by 2 hills, so you can hike up and see the vew from above. Next beside the hill is a virgin beach. Even more empty, if you want some really quite place to enjoy the nature.

White coral sandy beach caters to young and oldies. A lovely strech with 1 side with coral area - safe for small children to swim and have a bath and the other side for good wavy beach. It can cater all level of age - bear in mind that walking in deep sand is quite tiring for some old people. Access road from main road is quite bumpy rocky one. 700m to reach the beach may need extra caution driving as the road is not asphalt one but rather rocky and cemented pavement. Be careful and you'll be fine. I drove odyssey and it required a very very very extra slow drive. Parking is easy and will not require far walking to the front beach. For cars, it is 5K IDR. Eating stalls are available for few vendors, public toilets as well praying area. Cabanas are available but rather far from the water. Bring your own beach chairs or beach mat for max enjoyment. You can access all up to the big rock for taking some good pictures - add access may cost you no harm. You can camp here. Bring your own or rent a tent for 50K. Else - there are some villas to rent. Overall - a recommended spot.

Best place to camp is at the corner of the beach because car was parked right behind our tents and it was surrounded by trees where we hangs our hammock. Camp utilities are rented, and the tents were built before our arrival so it’s very much convenient. Toilet using were free upon camping rentals. It also the closest to a walkway to neighborhood beach (pantai Drini) that offers much more activities like paddling, canoeing and sunbathing. They provide umbrellas and gazebos for rent. Gazebo rent is 50k IDR for 2 hours.

I’m from Malaysia, and this is my first time visiting Yogyakarta. My trip to Pantai Timang was an adventurous experience, as you have to go there by jeep. The beach has beautiful scenery, and the breeze is very calming. Crossing the bridge and riding the gondola was a bit scary, but it was a great experience. I recommend bringing a raincoat because the waves can be really big.

Fun ride in a Suzuki Jimny along a rocky hilly track to get there. You have to pay to go across a rope bridge to the small island. But it’s worth it, your guide is an excellent photographer with your smart phone and will get you some great photos

Went there after my trip to Jomblang Cave. The scenery was amazing. You need to be careful with splashes though even though you are high above sea level, so do prepare spare clothes and protect your photography equipments just in case you are not fortunate. The jeep ride down the beach was exciting and fun as well.

It took us about 2 hours from our hotel in Kaliurang, plus another 15 minutes by Jeep through bumpy terrain—a fun little adventure on its own. The view from the cliff is absolutely stunning. The waves were strong, and the sea spray could get intense, so don’t expect to stay dry—bring spare clothes or footwear. The gondola is hand-powered, but the team running it takes safety seriously and guides everyone carefully. Even our 70-year-old parent, who didn’t plan to cross, ended up giving it a go. Some of us are scared of heights, but we all enjoyed the ride—it’s a one-of-a-kind experience. One gondola can fit up to 3 people (2 adults and 1 kid), but it can feel a bit tight—especially for the person sitting at the back. Once across, you can explore freely, but stay cautious—you’re standing on a cliff above rough waters. The 360 views are incredible. Easily one of the most unforgettable parts of our Jogja trip.

Astounding view! A must visit if you love the beach. The gondola price quite affordable i think. Totally worth the penny spent! The ride to the beach was adventurous. The ride itself was fun. The workers of the gondola are super fun and they took marvelous pictures of you.

❎ Australia ✅ Indonesia On our way to the beach, locals stopped and informed us that we need to use a jeep in order to access the beach. We were skeptical if we really need to visit the beach but turns out it was so worth it! The jeep ride was rough but once we were at the beach, the view was really nice. Watching the waves was also really calming. We hired a jeep that costs 350k for 5 people. Crossing the bridge costs 100k per person for locals, but you should definitely go for it. Both the jeep rental and bridge ticket includes a guide who can help with taking pictures. No additional fee for the guide but we gave them a tip at the end :)

Beautiful coastline with rock cliffs and big waves. Especially if we are looking back from the rocky island just offshore.

Baron beach is one of the many small beaches in the area where you can get away from the noise and pollution of the big city. They are all a short drive from Yogjakarta so hire a scooter or motor and get on the way

Here you can find a variety of seafood dishes and the unique craft of shellfish and marine animals. The cool air makes travelers feel at home to stay here.

A wonderful beach for family, with its brownish sand. It's a calm bay with a high cape with a lighthouse tower on its East flank, and an underground river on its West flank is recommended as a safe playground for children. There are fishermen and their colourful boats on the beach, and when lucky visitors can also buy freshly caught fishes from them at low prices. Food stalls and shops selling seafoods and souvenirs. Many toilets available for little money. No recommended lodging.

The beach is surrounded by mountains and greenery, but the beach it self is narrow and sometime strong waves. Parking lot is quite spacy. We need to pay for the parking fee per vehicle.

Sunday was really crowded. Not as big as parang tritis. But it's more shady n more friendly for little kids. To go to the beach, u need to rent a boat. Becareful when choosing seafood there, not all are fresh.

Parangtritis Beach is located south of Yogyakarta, about 1 to 1.5 hours away, depending on traffic. Parking can be a bit confusing, with fees ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 IDR. The beach itself is beautiful, but it gets very crowded, which also leads to some littering. However, the food stalls, entertainment such as riding a horse and ATV, and sunset views are fantastic. While I wouldn’t necessarily visit again if I had other options, my overall experience was still enjoyable—though it could have been better with fewer crowds and cleaner surroundings. Also i wouldn't advise to swimming here

This beach offers a breathtaking natural experience, particularly during the months of July to September, when the weather is at its most favorable. The skies are typically clear, the sea is calm, and the sunset views are truly spectacular.

We came to this beach by hiring a jeep. The price was expensive but the driver was skilled and friendly. The sand here is black in colour and the waves are very high but beautiful. It's nice to wait for the sunset here which is scenic and romantic.

Parangtritis Beach is a beach located in Yogyakarta, about an hour’s drive from the city. The beach has strong waves and a wide, black sand shoreline, which gives it a unique vibe, although swimming isn’t recommended because of the currents. When I went there, it was quite crowded, but the view especially at sunset was still beautiful. There were lots of local food stalls, people riding ATVs, and even horse carts along the shore. It’s not the cleanest beach, but the overall atmosphere is interesting. I’d recommend it for people who want to enjoy their holiday with friends, family and also take a beautiful photo

Although the beach area is white sand and can be used for swimming, the waves are too strong, so it is not suitable for children without parental supervision. The best time to come here is not on holidays. Because the atmosphere will be more crowded than usual. I came here on a weekend, and the parking lot was full; many visitors came by various modes of transportation, especially buses, which dominate the place. The road to the beach is not big enough, so we had to walk a few feet to get there. Public facilities such as shower rooms and food stalls are widely available around the beach at quite affordable prices, making it easier for visitors.

Pok Tunggal Beach has a beautiful and clean environment, the sea water is still clear, thick white sand is free of rubbish. This beach overlooks the Indonesian ocean with fairly high waves and is surrounded by beautiful coral hills. The beach location can be reached in about 2 hours from the city of Jogjakarta through hilly and coral views.

It was a challenge to get in this place, quite remote spot and you'll lose signal automatically. But totally worth it, beautiful scenery and white sands. Just be careful with the waves, kinda wild. It really looks like Melasti beach in Bali.

Beautiful sunset! The path is pretty hard because of the rocks but still nice. It's not the type of beach you will chill all day long, though. Anyway, when we came there, the Duras tree was no longer there, meanwhile this beach was famous because of it.

Bit speechless about this place, because this beach have awesome landscape view. I came at 5am and still dark.. Hoping I can shoot best light in the morning.. 😁, but nature has different way hahaha so cloudy there. I came to one of traditional coffee shop, after order I saw a man directly approach to our coffee shop from the beach bring an octopus and some fish. The owner of coffee shop says.. Hai.. What would you like to order from those fresh fish.. Hahaha to early for me for heavy breakfast .. I asking her there is other sight from the beach? She said : you have to move up to that hill.. Wewwwwww 🤦‍♂ hahaha closed enough but going up is.... 🤣🤣 Then we going up and taking lots of picture.. Till the cloud more dark. So this place is so quite place, not to crowded, average clean.. So fun in this beach. So if you stay in Jogjakarta.. Please stop by to pok tunggal beach..

Access to this beach is hard, not possible for bus/trucks. Therefore, this beach is still not to crowded. And still consider as hidden gem. Sands are white but not too clean.

Great camping place! There are many stalls around the beach, so if you run out of supplies, you can buy there. There are also toilets there. Entrance ticket 10k per person and retribution fee 10k per tent. You can also pay a photografer 3k / photos for capturing your moment! The distance between the parking area to the beach is very close, so you don't need to be afraid of being tired 😁. Go on weekdays if you want to find some quietness!

Was nice here. Narrow and clean beach. You also can see the seaweed in the side of beach, you also can pick up some of them. Having a roast barbeque with friends, a group of HKTDC Hongkong 2017 at side of beach and drink real coconut. How nice and forget hectic for a day. How a lovely day. I have known this beach since 2011, and we often come here to do some rock climbing activities. The sand is white, the wave is big, and the view is just great. Out of all south Java beach on Yogyakarta, this is my favorite to healing. The access to this beach is not so easy so not many people would come, and big vehicles like buses can't access it. Also, there is no signal for the mobile phone, so when you come to this beach, for sure, you won't be able to live streaming on Instagram.

A beautiful beach with a very beautiful scenery. There's a lot of big coral here and the background either from bottom or from up is very good to see. A nice place to takes a pre-wedding​ photo shoot here. The wave is big and good enough to see and to refresh your mind. Just sitting at the big coral near the beach and just staring at the waves makes your mind get refreshed.

This beach is freaking beautiful. But local treat it wrong, so much trash around the sands, and they sometimes asking more for the fee (illegal). You not only could enjoying the beach but also can do a little 30 minutes hike to Bukit Pengilon and see a little waterfall called Banyu Tibo, the view is so breathtaking. 1. Legal government's entrance fee for 2 person: Rp. 10000 2. Some random local's entrance fee to hike to Bukit Pengilon for 2 person : Rp. 4000 3. Another random local's entrance fee to Banyu Tibo for 2 person: Rp. 6000 (it's listed Rp. 2000/person, but somehow the guy asking extra Rp. 1000) 4. Ice coconut drink at the beach: Rp. 13000 5. I have stayed here one night with my family in May 2017 ... there is a small room on mountain just near this beach.... I took road trip from Jakarta and explored many good places in this region like Goa Pindul, Borobudur, so many places..... I love this place.

Beautifully hidden. Quite a journey to go there but it was paid off. The beach is clean. Toilets available even not a proper one. If you want to get a better picture, you can climb the rock (?) hill. Just be careful because it's not safely equipped. Several camping equipments also available to rent. Perfect. Definitely coming back here.

This is a quiet and a bit hidden beach. You should walk less than 10 minutes to reach the beach. People said you could have a nice night camp right here. Or you can just enjoy the sunset by climb the Kosakora Hill at the side of the beach

It’s a great experience. The cave is beautiful and natural. On the finish spot, you need to climb up a bit to reach the main road and it’s kinda steep so make sure you’re strong enough to climb 5-floors stairs. The staff are awesome and friendly; they explain the history of the cave along the way, casually have a chat with us, help us taking photos and suggest the best photo spots/poses.

Totally recommend this. Very beautiful cave and friendly workers there. Very fun experience. Only thing is after all the fun, there are some steep steps to climb up. Recommend to bring your own water shoes and waterproof phone pouch. The workers there are very good in taking pictures too

But I really dont like the access road to this place, and the foods too, there’s not so many food you can choose here.

very disappointing, it is close when we come there but in google is open till 18pm. I tried to call the the contact number and no one pickup. the way to reach the destination is very extreme and dangerous, not recommended. Please be serious if you guys want to open a tourism destination🙏🙏🙏. to be honest i'm Indonesia Citizen and I really disappointed.

Flying fox and garden is closed since C-19, garden is still accessible but quite wild and clearly seemed abandoned. Access is quite tough since the road is very narrow (only 1 car wide), very steep, and very easy to get lost since it's going through local village's fields.

The place is quite cool and the curved rocks are interesting but it’s not worth to come here either if you are in Klaten or Yogyakarta. There’s nothing around except a local village and the water is dirty unfortunately (at least at the moment of writing this review). You don’t need to book any tour nor pay any entrance fee.

Sure, one of the real place for geology lovers, the rocks just rocking your eyes! The entrance ticket will cost sincerely your choice. During dry season is the perfect time to explore the river rocks, sedimentary formations are just wonderful. That is basically due to alluvial events the surrounding rocks sculpted in to gorgeous forms.

Avoid. At. All. Cost. It’s abandoned since the pandemic. No maintenance. Trash everywhere. Abandoned parking lots with weeds growing. Broken stairs. Muddy water. It ruined my mood instead of giving me tranquility. Since there was no one there, nobody will ask you for money to enter.

The most interesting of this place is its history. It parts of the past when the earth stood still. The actual waterfall of Luweng Sampang is only five meters high. Admittedly that is not impressive. However, what it lacks in height is compensated in uniqueness and beauty. The actual drop is happening deep inside a thin intricate canyon. There is no easy way to enjoy the actual waterfall without entering the canyon

My first time visiting this place! I never doubt the beauty of nature, this place is really fascinating. But feel a bit sad there was no internet connection in the area, so can't upload any photos and videos directly. I asked some local people nearby, the wifi is actually on, but they told me not working, can't access at all. so it just a waste. Entrance fee and for parking, pay as u want (logically ya;) but I do love the ambience, surrounded by trees and the sound of water from the river. Once it is still called 'hidden paradise', then the place not so touristy. Its easy access to reach if u drive from Klaten, Kalasan/Prambanan rather than from Jalan Wonosari itself. Come come!

What a lovely place! Peaceful and clean. Water isnt blue as you can see on instagram or google. Good for healing moment hehe. You just need to pay 2k to park your vehicles and pay whatever you want for cleaning fee.

Bear in mind we went int he dry season so please check ahead to see if the waterfall is in full flow. The site is hard to get to but the road is driveable. The parking is small but there was no charge. The site starts ont he otherside of the road and there are lots of steps down and around the river and waterfall. As you can see from our pictures there was very little water. The rock formations were fascinating and I ma sure they pictures would be far grabder in wetter weather - if you dare drive the roads! There was a lot of litter around which was a shame as there are plenty of bins. There are no toilets. There is a little shop by the exit. Our total time here was about 30 minutes - 5-10 walking througha nd then taking lots of pictures. A local boy called me a duck but that was more entertaining than rude. Give the place a chance but check ahead the weather.

As one of the people who learned about rocks in college, I really like visiting this location. The big rocks were shown up in the surface with beautiful color gradation and shapes. The local government successfully created this outcrop to be one of the tourism destination closed to Yogyakarta. It took me around 50 minutes driving here using a motorcycle. In the big rock, they also modified it so we could go to the top of the outcrop. They created a stair that let us go to the top of the outcrop. Not only the stairs, but we would find the top part is filled with many places to take pictures as well as the supported equipment, such as the love signs as background, tea pot as accessories and many others. You could go here with friends or family. Recommended place to visit.

Spend the night here, there are many cheap and clean inns and the beach has waves that are far from the shore so that children can play without fear of big waves.

This is probably the most beautiful beach I’ve ever found. And the accommodations and food are very cheap in this area. The hard part is getting there, as there are not grabs or Gojeks available in here. But if you find a local with a scooter or a car you might be able to hitch a ride.

The beach is beutiful with white sand and some coral reef with some small coral fishes, you can also catch the fishes so bring a net. The Gazebo are not free, you have to pay Rp 30.000 IDR for 1 Gazebo.

My overview for sundak beach ⭐ Scenery: 4.7/5 – The sunset at Sundak Beach is truly breathtaking. The soft white sand and gentle waves make it a perfect place to relax. ⭐ Cleanliness: 3.8/5 – Unfortunately, there is still some litter in certain areas. Visitors should be more mindful and help keep the beach clean. Overall, Sundak Beach is a great destination for sunset lovers. There are also a few visitors camping, so it seems like a possible spot for an overnight stay.

I visited this place for the first time with my family when i was just a little kid. I came here several times since then with my friends. When I was in college I studied marine biology and did some research in Sundak Beach. It has a beatiful view and it was suitable for recreation place.

Nice place to chill and spend a night or two (note that beach side aircon luxury hotels don't exist here). But if you can enjoy a cheap room with an electric fan, then you can treat yourself to a room with a beautiful cliff side view and a chance of sunset and/or sunrise. The place can be a little dirty and packed on the weekends (especially payday weekends).

Out of the way beach, some good look out cliff with view of beach and water. Parking : 4/5 plenty of parking Cleanliness : 2/5 not so clean Facilities : 2/5 as is, no table / chairs, there are plenty of shower facilities, some restaurants Safety : 1/5 no lifeguard Beach : 2/5 Better in the morning before the tide comes in. The waves and tides don't make it too safe.

What a nice place for basic hikers. Its only 700 mdpl. I suggested you to come here for practice before hiking to the highest level.

Amazing hike! Heavy because of the heat, although doable for fit people. You can buy water in the little shop near the entrance! The entrance fee is 30k for foreigners. The path is very well maintained with signs, ladders with are bolted to the rocks, paths. Just be careful and you'll manage it and don't go up when it's raining or about to rain. Also super friendly people working there who explained us everything. There are multiple viewpoints and rest stops on the way to the top so even a half climb is worth it. Take 1,5h to reach the top (gunung Api) and 300m elevation. You come back down a completely different path, around 30min. So one way up and one way down because there are some narrow passages. We took a grab here (+- 1 hour) from yogya and took a different grab back. It can be tricky to find a grab back but we managed to get one within 15min. All in all, a really well spent afternoon.

Wonderful mountain and view, especially its sunset. The track is moderate with high cliff on the left and right. There are two narrow tracks that is dark although at midday. At the top, we can see Merapi and Merbabu mountains if the weather is clear. Also, we can find some hand-made wooden tracks.

Great place for a light walk and hike! Located near Yogyakarta city, easy to park and pay for entrance on the spot, and you're free to hike on your own pace! The hiking path is moderately steep, some parts are consisting of narrow path between giant rock walls and metal stairs, providing a fun challenge, even for kids and parents. The summit area is an open space with a great view! There are also several open spots to enjoy the view, especially when you are not planning to go all the way to the top.

They put signs, so it's easy to climb up to the mountain. I got the 4G signals at the peak (telkomsel) 😀.

Be sure to be in good fitness for the hike up, and careful not to wear any loose fitting hats as the winds blow strong at the top. And the company of monkeys patroling the top are quite aggressive, so be wary of that.Otherwise, great view and cool winds.

It's a Bali wannabe place, with temple and other statues in place. Really crowded with tourist wearing rented Balinese traditional costume during the visit. The paid toilet is well maintained and costly since it is privately owned by the warung owner. It is suggested to come during dry season since the location is quite a distance from Yogyakarta and the road is quite tricky. Though it provides beautiful view along the way.

The beaches are beautiful, but be mindful that there is a huge crowd of tourists in big buses, cars, and the road is in traffic, the parking lot is so crowded, everything moves slowly. And by the beach, thousands of people. They make the temple and rent the clothes for tourists to take pictures, that makes the place even more chaotic. If you want to find a quiet and serene place to see the nature, this is not a good idea to visit at weekend.

it's a beautiful beach in Yogyakarta (42 kilometers from the city). in other side, I lost my signal over there. you need a transportation to go there because there's no public transportation since the place is so far.

Two beaches in one. Ngobaran is a sacred place for the local Hindu communities. Nguyahan is the best for sunsets.

I usually come here before the other beach nearby called Ngrenehan. This place has architectural influence from the Hinduism. The view to the beach from the cliff is great. Now they have artificial boat also there for taking photo direction to the beach view. I took these photos at 5 am, so it might look dark. 😁

Love this beach! Not so crowded! So many amazing spot views! Located about an hour from the city center. Pretty easy to follow the google maps. Kinda Bali vibes but in Yogyakarta! Definitely will come back! There’s one “Pura” which already build about 25 years ago and still be used to pray. There’s not so many options for having lunch. Make sure you bring your meals box or simple move to another beaches nearby!

i went there on the weekday and only a few people in there. This is one of my favourite beach because of the beautiful scenery especially if you go up the hill, you can see a wider view, see the waves and rocks, very beautiful. local food prices are quite affordable but less varied. there are plenty of huts to sit and not pay only if we buy the owner's food. Unfortunately the toilet is not good and if weekdays, only a few are open.

Was met by super arrogant male Indonesians wanting to charge 30k for entry - so I didn't go. I've been before. Food is like anywhere else, and can't swim in the beach as its too dangerous. You can bring your kids here. No need to worry about the fasility like toilet, mosque, restaurant and souvenir store. They have big parking area and beautiful hill to hike to see the shoreline from top. Krakal had long shoreline and there is a monument on the top of a hill in the west and in the east you can also enjoy another beach.

What stood out to me was the sense of openness and freedom, where locals and tourists alike gather peacefully, often participating in spontaneous artistic activities. Traffic control could also be improved to ensure pedestrian safety, especially during peak hours. We visited this landmark in Yogyakarta in the morning. It wasn't too crowded and there are some historical buildings here. There wasn't very much to see so we visited a nearby museum.

It's very nice and beautiful. Short beaches that are broken up by cliffs. The beaches are protected by a coral reef, where most of the waves crash. There are many different seashells and coral to look at.

Bright sand and easy small kids. The parking space is directly at the beach for 10.000 IDR No interesting food in the resto’s only instant meal. But they have usually fresh coconut water. There are shower and toilet facilities around 5.000 IDR. Some dark and dirty, some really clean ones with day light. When flooded it is possible to swim upfront. When the water in the afternoon goes away it remains a pool easy to roam for small non swimming kids. Don’t leave the kids unattended, there might be bigger waves that come in unexpected. In the afternoon you can walk on the coral/stones “platform” that shows up stuffed with bright green seaweed on the surface to be able to reach the big rock. Very “instagramable” 😊 Not too crowded even on holidays.

I went to Heha sky view, which is in JL.Dlingo, Kab Gunung Kidul. I went with my family to eat. The place is very nice, and there are many aesthetic photo spots. And if you come in the afternoon until evening, you can see the sunset and also the city lights from the sky view. But if you come in the afternoon or evening, don't forget to bring a jacket or wear long clothes because the wind is strong and the air is cold. There are many food stalls, and so far, the food is all delicious. This place is recommended for those who want to see the sunset, city lights, or want to take photos and also eat.

Our family decided to visit the HeHa Sky View during the last day of visit in Jogja. It offers amazing views of Jogja, great entertainment, delicious snacks and Kopi Tubruk Susu. It would be great to visit HeHa again someday.

Its a beautiful and clean beach, the authorities really take care this beach, you can also see a cave, and waterfall right on it. The range of price is around 15.000 - 35.000. I have a nice time right there. They have a nice guide and will offer to help taking your picture, they won't charge you, but don't forget to always pay the entry to every spot you want to go. Have fun~~ p.s: the road is a bit rough, but it's okay for bike and car to go through.

The place is small but the view is amazing! The water was crystal clear with smell of sea water. On normal days you can see a waterfall falling down to the sea. But since there was a big wave hit the rock the other day, the waterfall was closed. The sad thing is, there are still trashes here and there. 🙄 The road we take, took around 1-2 hours with car from city.

I love this beach because this beach is really clean and have a cyrstal clear water. I went here with my friend 5 times and one of them is we camped in this beach for a night. The sky is very clear and we can enjoy the stars. In the morning you can go into the west, to a small hill and enjoy the golden sunrise. Good placee.

The waves are high and the water is super clear! I recommend to come here during early morning around sunrise time where the weather is perfect for bonding and deep conversations! The road to this place is pretty far from Jogja, but not too hard to reach by motorcycle with good quality tire

Perfect place to camping! There's 2 or 3 warung that sell simple instant drinks and meals. Toilets, parking lots. And the most important thing is : WHITE SAND!

The scenery really worth the effort. Been there two years ago at rainy season and the road was completely slippery. It seems like there's not much improvement until now. Still, favourite beach in gunung kidul with clear water and small waves.

if you wanna go here just prepare your motor bike, using car is not recommended because the road was so really bad. the best thing i ever know if there are people camp here, store will not close, they open for 24 hours you cant buy a coffee in the middle of the night. when night comes some people will fishing here, until morning comes. you will not get a good sunrise here, nut you will get beautiful sunset from the top of the hill. if you camp here, the wind is not strong but the wave will get bigger in the night, and the place is about scary in the night.

A beautiful secluded beach (situated south-east of wonosari) where you can enjoy an unspoiled view. Yet, you have to do a bit tracking to get to this place. And to reach the beach, a long walk on a winding path is necessary. Never think of visiting this beach if you don't have a good stamina 😉

Awesome place, but you have to try as hard as you can to get there, access the cobbled and muddy roads, the internet signal does not exist, the tracking tracks are steep and slippery, but when you get to this place you will love the fusion of waterfalls, river, beaches, its waterblow, hill, and corals are very charming,

Maybe the access road was not so good, especially when it was raining. We had some trouble getting there with motorcycle. But the scenery is spectacular. And there's still not many guests coming over. It's just like personal beach.

Watu Lumbung Beach is a new attraction not so far from the popular Wediombo Beach, Girisubo District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. From the main road from Wonosari to Wediombo, take a turn to a narrow village path about 200 m long which is paved partially with a two-way concrete block. You can stop at the parking lot and enjoy the seaside view from a round stage with steps. Otherwise you can walk or hire a motorbike drive (ojek) for Rp 20,000.- to go 200 m down a steep road to the water. Friendly staff. An "emergency" toilet and musholla (moslem prayer room) can be used for a donation.

A very nice place to hang out with friends with a beautiful view of Parangtritis beach, especially at evening. It's not too far from Malioboro (around an hour with bike), and it's free entry (just need to pay for the parking space). The food is also extremely cheap so I would recommend everyone to visit this place

It's a hilltop view point overlooking the sea and beaches. It's a wonderful place to view the sunset. Equally popular among the tourists and locals. There are restaurants on the hilltop and several eateries downhill. The weather is cool at the top and view is beautiful. Keep enough time in hand to relax and watch the sunset. Enjoyed my trip thoroughly to this picturesque hilltop.

favorite place to enjoy the sunset in town. prepare the vehicle safely. because the journey to get to the destination is very uphill, you really need a healthy vehicle to get to your destination. and requires good braking to get down from the top because it is very steep.

The Southern square of the Yogyakarta Islamic Mataram Sultanate. The green grass field is popular for a unique free game called "masangin", where visitors try to pass through between a pair of banyan trees with blinded eyes (cover clothes are rented for IDR 5,000.-).  Coloring pictures for kids is offered in the afternoon. At night it's lively with the lights from rented pedal cars. Sasono Hinggil Dwi Abad is an outstanding royal building on the North side. A walking track around the field is popular for jogging. Food shops offer local as well as popular dishes and drinks, mostly in the morning and at night. Spacious but often crowded parking lots for motorbikes and cars (buses are denied access to the area). There are paid restrooms, a musholla, and a large mosque nearby (Margo Yuwono).

If you are wondering if the market here is still there, i can confirm. Even though on the walk to Alun Alun one could think it is empty. We visited on Friday evening and the park was bustling with people. All around the square there are countless foodstalls that offer a wide array of food snd drinks. The peculiar vehicles that can be rent give it a special vibe. Come with an empty stomach and you will have a good time. Note: the southern entrance called „Plengkung Gading“ is closed at the moment and a wide detour has to be undertaken if visiting on foot.

Great for people watching and grabbing good street food. Plenty of space for the kids to run around and have fun too. Very good experience.

Alun-Alun Kidul in Jogja is a destination that offers a relaxed and joyful atmosphere in the heart of the city. In my opinion, this place is best visited in the afternoon, as the ambiance is livelier with activities starting to pick up before nightfall. In the afternoon, visitors can enjoy the cool air while strolling around or admiring the colorful decorative bicycles. There are also many street vendors selling various traditional foods and drinks, making this spot a delightful culinary destination. As night approaches, the central area of the square tends to get a bit dark, which may make the atmosphere less comfortable for some visitors. However, one of the main attractions, like the tradition of walking between the two large banyan trees with your eyes closed, continues to draw many people. Despite its simplicity, many are eager to take on this challenge. Don’t forget to buy the iconic fried ice from a vendor, an older man with a small cart. I can’t remember his name, but he usually sells while using a small microphone, adding to the memorable culinary experience at the alun-alun.

It’s a ground used for football and festival/picnic at night. Usually crowded, street food and fun activities.

Tons of street food stalls to try at night, we tried many and no one got ill. Nothing gourmet here but fun to try, lots of people but not over-crowded and no lines. The park itself is strewn with litter so if you want to sit it isn't very appealing. We were there on a Wednesday and they did not have the pedal cars, apparently they are there Thursday - Saturday.

Its nice to have a lot of choices regarding food option. however there are only few chairs to sit on, but you can sit on the side of the road, they provide areas for people to sit. and you can also sit on the picnic area

I have been here several times and I think lately this place is kinda quiet. There is no many people, people just come to get some food and might trying a clothes then buy it if it’s suit on them. Besides that, I still love to come here just to buy something second used and eat at the cafeteria.

Huge area dedicated for milenial kids looking for unusual background for their social media photos... hoping people to start conversation & 'like' their photos ofcourse. Anyhow place seems to be lonely on weekend compared with other tourist spot. Food court & handicraft shop you can find along the walk. However i dont think people will come twice to this place up until they update the photo background landscape. But i do appreciate this place, we have some fun ;)

You can visit 3 interested place here. D' mata trick eye museum, D' arca that you can see many statue of celebrities and famous people. And then D walik. Recomended for spend your holiday with your family and kids.

There's a very nice photoshoot place here. There's museum de mata 1 and 2 (3D and 4D photoshoot place) , de arca (serve you a lot of statue of the public figure around the world) , d'walik (rotation place 90° to 180°) The ticket is different every hour (night and day) and every day (weekend and workday). There's also sequel tickets but be prepared for your time because it has a lot of nice place to shoot. You have to have a nice taste of photography too to find a best spot to take a photo. Some place serve you with photo point but some of them are not. Be sure to go there with your friends too to takes your photographs. Though there's a photo employees here, they're busy and not always help one person from the start to the end so you might end helpless if you are alone.

XT Lane a.k.a de arca... it's a fun place. Not as good as the wax museum of madame tussauds... but good enough for Instagram pics. It's cheap.. around Rp. 30.000 or $ 2.5.. the workers there arw very friendly.. when it's not too crowded.. they will help you take a picture happily.. come there around 6 pm on weekdays...

Lovely place in yogyakarta. If you are traveling with your family, this place is very suitable for you. Located in ex bus terminal of yogyakarta, this square is not too far away from malioboro, the most popular street in the city. It is in the middle between Malioboro street and Gembira loka Zoo. There are two main tourist attractions, the first one is de mata trick eye museum. Inside this museum you will find many spots for selfie and wefie. The other is de arca which shows many popular statueof public figures. Overall it's strongly recommended

The wonosari square is a community sports center. Some salesmen sell food of all kinds. It's so nice here.

I went here on Monday night, the place was not really crowded. There were lot of children playing around. There were also people who selling food, such as cilok, kembang gula, bakso, mie ayan and many more.

That's was a good rest area and the important thing is there are available free WiFi 😊

The Alun-alun Wonosari is clean. At night, many food vendors are open. Prices are still affordable. It's a great spot to enjoy the evening, especially on weekends.

White Sand Beach. Access to location from main road is necessary urgent to be repaired. Car parking fee 5000 IDR. Car park on side with the beach. There a lot of parking area. For safety reason, SAR available on this beach. Local Restaurant set a affordable price for their food and drink. For Muslim, Don't need worry to visit this on Friday because there is mosque that held friday pray. A lot of artificial romantic spot for taking pictures also there are many local photographer who can take your momment with affordable service rate.

The beach is clean, there is a playground for children that is safe, there is a place to sell typical sea fish, traditional village cuisine and beautiful beaches just before sunset.

Sepanjang Beach is one of the beaches in Yogyakarta located in the Gunung Kidul area. This beach has a beauty that is no less good than other beaches. This beach can also be made snorkeling by young people. In addition to the beauty of white Pasuruan, the water in this beach is also still quite clear. The tourists will not regret coming to this place.

White sand beach, clean and not so crowded. Since the bus can't enter here coz the road is very small, it will stay that way for a while.

So far away off from the main Yogyakarta city centre but it is worth to go. The view to. Go there is beautiful. Amazing landscape. The beach it selff is pretty popular. White sandy beach. Good for family picnic. Lots of warung selling yummy seafood menu. Including some fritters such as crab and fish. The road to get here is a bit narrow, so please stay alert during your drive/ride. I did not see any homestay or hotel around here but I chose to stay in Yogyakarta, go there in early morning and spend the day to lunch there. There are other tourism spot on the way to the beach so feel free to try everything. It was pretty clean actually.

Actually theres no beach at here, but you can see the beach or the sea from here. This placed managed by local people and created a few spot photo liked teras kaca, jogya swing, giant chair and a few more. Have to buy ticket to take a photo in every spot and difference rate. Most expensive was jogya swing idr 50.000 per person, teras kaca idr 20.000 and giant chair 10.000. Management provide amateur photographer and charged 5000 per picture. Fyi you cant not take a photo if not buying the ticket, theres a few local store sell food and beverage and coconut . You have to pay for entrance ticket ( forget for detail amount) and car parking.

An unique place to enjoy sea in Gunung Kidul. Nice place to visit during vacation. However, visitor must pay for each photo spots, but they provide all-in tickets. Also, the access there is kinda difficult especially during holiday when many people going there.

The route to reach this place is a mountain road without street lamp, kind of dangerous. So far from Yogyakarta, you need +/- two hours from Yogyakarta to this place. Overall this place is not bad, but it's far from my expectation.

This venue has a beautiful view of the ocean by the Cliffside. However the most attractive photo spots require you to additional tickets, such as the glass balcony and the boat. My queue was 4 hours, so I decided to cancel our plans. Recommended to come early for avoiding long queues.

Very beautiful place, polite and friendly people and also very affordable too, the only downside is the lack of signal reception with ALL providers and a relatively shallow place to swim. Entry ticket per person is 5k from the gate, 50k for snorkeling & swimming bundled with Underwater photograph & 35k for the bridge crossing. Additional fees are 4k for taking a shower, 2k for changing, 5k for ojek ride to the beach (you can walk for free, it's around 5-10 mins). Food is relatively cheap, 150k for a portion of 5 people. Recommended to find time off-season to snorkel and enjoy the beach, remember to bring a wetsuit along with GLOVES, the corals are sharp, and the sea is shallow, YOU WILL GET CUTS IF YOU SWIM WITH NORMAL CLOTHES.

The place was cool! It has many activities to offer, even for a snorkeling. You better coordinate with the admin when is the best time to snorkeling. Fee for activities also wasnt very expensive. The beach itself is still clean. Oh, use ojeg to go inside the beach. Its quite a walk to go there.

One of the best beach in Gunungkidul. The access is limited, you can not bring your car here. You can take a 800 m - 1 km walk from the parking area to the beach, or you can ride your motorbike / take ojek motor (Rp 5000 per person). There's a snorkeling shop facility so you can rent snorkeling equipment there.

I visited Nglambor Beach 5 year ago lol but i will give a review when i visited that day, Nglambor Beach is one of beautiful beach in Gunung Kidul area, there's a lot of spot that u can used for take a pic ahaha also in Nglambor Beach u can snorkling, for snorkling u can rent the equipment there plus the documentation used gopro.

A very natural dan beautiful beach i ever visited. Its places on nglambor distric, gunung kidul city, special regional of yogyakarta provincy. Easy to find the place by car, bus or motorcycle. the cost for entry ticket and snorkling is very reasonable.

It's a good place for starter snorkeling. The area depth is quite low, so no worries of getting drowned. One thing that must be improved is signal reception. No provider is available in there.

A good place to spend your time with family and friend. Have a lot of spot to take an instagramable picture. Have a place to snorkeling too. But, too bad, when I got there the situation of the sea is not too good (sedang gelombang tinggi). But it's okay because there's is another good place at this place. We can test our braveness by walking at a bridge.

This is one of the beaches that must be visited if you come to Jogja, you can judge the view yourself.. in my opinion, if you come at the right time, this beach is truly extraordinary.

Located on Kidul Mountain, easy to find by google maps. I recommend you as a tourist to rent a car to go there, and you could rent their gazebo for relax and lunch. I rent gazebo only for IDR 30K on weekday, the food price quite affordable. There's many paid toilet public. I recommend you to climb the hills and look the scenery. notes: don't forget to keep our nature clean:)

Slili Beach is a small, peaceful beach located between Sundak and Krakal Beach in Gunungkidul. I went there last month for a short getaway. I really enjoyed my time there! The beach wasn’t too crowded, and the water was clear with soft white sand. It felt like a hidden gem. There were small local stalls selling seafood and fresh coconut water. I also liked that the parking area was close to the beach. I’d recommend Slili Beach to people who are looking for a quiet, clean beach away from the crowds.

Worth a visit! You can't swim here but you can stay on the shore for a photo, there is a gazebo, you can rent it for 30k IDR, food is good! I came on a weekday so I don't know how crowded it will be on the weekend.

Very beautiful views up the peak, this is a historical place, one of geopark of yogyakarta, ancient volcano, you will get to the peak about 1.5 hour from the starting point, be careful cause the terain is steep, the sign board are noticeable thought, i suggest to bring drinks, and use running shoes istead reguler. Good destination to start a trip

It's a good place for hiking even for beginner. I usually come here to run training with some elevation. It's around 2.8 km for up and down track with elevation gain around 250m. Be careful when rain season since track can be slippery in some place.

The first time I visited this place was in 2009 and it still be my favorite hiking place till now because it is beautiful, clean and easy to reach. The hiking route is about 1.5 hour to the summit (normal hike and sometimes take a seat for resting and taking photos).

Always miss this place. Used to visit here once in six months. The track was like change every time I visited. It's clearer now. But due to the recent re opening, the track filled with moss, centipedes, leaves.

Coming here is a bit of challenges, narrow road, slippery path, yet the scenery here worth all the sweats. I got wrong advertise on IG which said that this is a good spot to view sunrise, but in the contrary, locals said it is well known for it's beautiful sunset. We come very early in the morning around 4AM, nevertheless we still amaze with the breathtaking views. Note: since it's actually a cliff please watch your step carefully.

The road access was smooth but too narrow. We have to walk for 500m to reach the main place. This beach is more like a cliff, there is no sand. But the view was amazingly great, especially when you come at sunset.

The scenery is very good, neatly arranged and similar to the Teletubbies hill. Very suitable for camping. Highly recommended for those who like to see the vastness of the sea.

i went to kesirat beach in the middle of the day, wow the peak of summer! but the result iiisss......wow, another hidden treasure beach here. We couldn't going down there, but its okay, just enjoy the breeze. be careful of the ants on shrubs if you wanna take photos at edge the cliff, kids !

When you visit wohkudu beach, just leave your vehicle there and go here by walk ! Pretty close! Again! The views is amazing! Wound love to camp here. i love the view, the waves, the sound of the waves, the sunset, the cliffs, and the trips to this place. the best time to enjoy all of these is 4-5 pm. when sun went down, it was quite dark.

Actually it's not really a beach. It's a cliff with ocean view. Local people usually went there for fishing. It's a bit secluded with small road, only fits for one car and the road bit rough. The parking lots not many for cars but adequate for motorcycles. The parking fee is about 5000 IDR for a car and 2000 IDR for a motorcycle. There are only 2 toilets managed by local resident who also sell simple drinks and snacks.

Watu Lawang Beach has the charm of beautiful rocks combined with clean white sand, the sea is very blue. On the edge of the beach there are also many food places that face the beach so we can eat while enjoying the beauty of the beach. Road access is also smooth so you can really enjoy the trip.

Beach is clean, not too crowded, food and drinks are within reasonable price, the rock formations are magnificent, plenty of gazebos to sit, parking fees are reasonable too, and the roads leading up here are in good condition. The only downside is that there is a prayer room/musholla but no dedicated space to perform wudhu. Thus we have to pay to use the bathroom only to do wudhu. The bathrooms are clean though.

The place is clean and beautiful. You only need to pay IDR 10k per people at the entry gate. The local people also provide foods and place for an affordable price.

Beautiful beach, beautiful sunset and a Sunrise if you are lucky guys, blue sky, white sand beach. But, unwell rood conditions. You have to walk a little from the parking lot until you arrive at the beach. And then you have to pay RP. 20,000 when seated in the existing gazebo.

Beautiful, hidden beach located on the east side of Indrayanti beach. You can reach Watulawang beach by actually going through a secret path in the Indrayanti beach. There were some trashes when I visited, it's sad. Please do not litter.

This Sadeng beach has a beautiful view. The water is also clean and clear. The air is also very cool. There is also a fish sale, we can see a variety of fish sold by fishermen there. We have a good time there.

Definitely not a place to have a picnic.

The main fish port in Yogyakarta. You can find fisherman with 1month trip, 10days trip, 5days trip, or 1day trip based on their size of the boat (the bigger, the longer trip). If you want to see the fisheries activities, my experience in the early January was came here on Saturday at 9 a.m and wait for the 5days trip's boat to come at TPI. They may bring fish like tuna or skipjack. The loading takes about 90minutes before it's transported to the nearby storage owned by local's. Wait for another hour then it will be transferred to the fish market if you want to see/buy them. If you want to search some lobsters you may come to the smallest boat (1day trip), because mostly they only hunt for some crustaceans. Another alternative work hour you can see is in the early morning before 7 a.m or late night at 11 p.m.

it's like private beach because it so quiet & calm in there, we can swim because the wave not that big & it has a lot of coral. we just need to pay the parking lot & doesn't need to pay entrance ticket

A magnificent hidden beach for those who love adventure! It can only be reached 45-minute on foot. If you bring vehicles then park them in Wediombo beach area. The next thing you find after you start walking is a rocky path with dry lands as far as you can see. It's a really challenging adventure, moreover if you go there with your kids. They loved it very much though. Yet you have to be careful with the sheer rock face. The beach itself is still quiet and clean. Feels like it's a private one. There is a small food stall whose seller is friendly and helpful. The couple provide clean bathrooms and nice simple food like egg and rice, instant noodle and such. The price is cheap too. They also rent dome tent, since this beach is also a favourite camping destination. So if you love a thrilling journey, then Greweng beach is definitely for you!

The path to the beach is hard; not suitable for any (Indonesian) eldery since it's rocky, pretty slippery when and after raining, and it's basically tracking. But the effort is worth it; Greweng is a cozy, not-very-wide beach with a stunningly beautiful scenery. The water is clear and rocky cliffs give us shade when it's sunny. Not much people know (and have efforts to go to) this beach, so it feels like a private beach for anyone who get here

Hidden beach, perfect for camping in here, to reach this place you must walk 30 minutes till 1 hour, but the panorama is amazing, worth it if you look for quite place, because just some people know this place and want to go here cause of the accessibility, but the road construction still on going, hope it will be done as soon as posible

Actually this beach is beautiful, but you need to exert all of your energy to get here. You have to do trekking for around 45mins, uphill and downhill, plus the path isn't smooth. I suggest you to come here after 3PM, because this place is so hot!!! Do not forget to bring water, because during the trekking you will only find one small stall. You can find another stalls on the beach. This beach is for young people, considering the trekking is quite difficult. But once you get here, it all paid off. The local said not many people know this beach, so you can say this beach is "a private beach" 🤣

Lovely guide who brought us to this place. We couldnt swim because of high tide, but still the beach is sooo beautifull, you just have to see it

It will take 30-45 minutes to walk on the easy difficult track. Kids under 3 and moms probably won't make it because the track is unsafe for them to walk on but after finishing the long journey, you'll see the beautiful beach surounded by two beautiful rocks which look like a dolphin and a turtle for me lol. The view is very good, quiet because there are just some people staying there (they usually have a camp there). There are also food stalls which offer cigarettes as well. Importantly, the toilets are clean and they smell at least clean. This is the beach which will make you tired before feeling pleased after seeing its beauty.

The beach is really beautiful, the road is bad but it pays off when we arrive at the beach, but we were unlucky because when we got there it was raining heavily so we couldn't play on the beach, we only ate instant noodles at a stall while waiting for the rain to stop

it is located in Ngetun beach. It is near watu gentong peak. The place is tranquil. The weather is sunny at 10 am. There are clean restroom, wide parking area complete food stalls, mosque, and camping ground. I enjoy the fresh air and beautifull view. I love natural vibe. I hate there are rubbish around camping ground and difficult road access

The way to get there is getting better each year but still prefer using motorcycle. Nice beach with it's "watu edan" legend.

The place isn't too crowded. The place is calm and the best for refreshing our mind.

Clean, less people and crowds also the people is humble too. You will find many Bulu Babi and Kelabang Laut on the water, so be careful, use sandals or footwear is suggested.

Visit this place about 5 years ago, and when I went there recently this place is significantly changed (and more crowded). But since they built a sunset/sunrise view spot, it's really something else. I think this place deserves to be one of "best beach" in Yogyakarta.

This beach offer a snorkeling services which is good for children. The sand is clean and quite white. Be sure to bring slipper.

Beautiful rocky beach with lots of potential. Bigger granule sands and quiet big waves. Not for swimming but lovely for walk and get you feet in the water. We saw crabs on the rocks which was cool. Lots of people taking pictures with photographer service. Pity we saw trash everywhere. Both tourists or locals should mind more to keep this beach clean.

A beautiful beach that has combination between white sand, wooden bridge, white corals and pine trees. Id recommend you to visit this beach if you wanna liberate your mind from your daily routine cz the access to get here is pretty smooth *a bit rocky 100 meters before parking lot*

Nice photo spot when during low tide. Good to wade in the natural water pool with occasional waves 😅. Worth the visit with lots of rest place and eateries. Pack during weekends but still worth.

Love the beach. Clean, white sands and many coral cliff. I came at Ramadhan month so not many visitors here, some people came for fishing, you can buy the fish from them.

One of those newly-exposed beaches. Half way to reach the beach is paved street, the other half is still streen (or lane) with a lot of stones on it. The beach is not wide, but there are some villas overlooking the sea where you can stay the night. The parking area is not too wide as well. And there's only one or two food stalls if you want to eat/drink.

One of hidden beach in Gunungkidul. The beach is quite wide. For now it is like a private island because when i was there, there is no visitor except me and my husband. But soon it will become like a resort. I just don't like the road. But it is worth it tho.

Watunene Beach it is located in GunungKidul district. It Is near South Mountain of Zeruni. The Place is calm, and clean beaches. The water is cool at 10 a.m. There are complate Food Stalls, but the parking area and toilets are still limited, because Watunene Beach is a new beach. I enjoy the fresh air and beatiful beach. I love its natural vibe. I think this beach is couples or bestfriend friendly who want to calm down. but i don't like this place because from the parking area to Watunene Beach we have to walk a few meters first, going down through a rocky path, so be careful! but trust me, Its Worth It guys 🙌

Calm beach. My friend and I went here on weekdays. It took around 15 minutes walking to get here from the parking place. This beach located betweeh Pantai Ngrumput and Pantai Drini

Beautiful, pristine and very quiet beach. Unfortunately there are a lot of litters scattered around just under the shades of trees so if you plan to sunbathe, beware of glasses, styrofoams, etc.

If you’re looking for a hidden beach that’s still relatively quiet and untouched, Ngerawah might be the perfect escape. But getting there is a bit of an adventure, the road to the beach is quite extreme, especially after rain, so be careful and wear proper shoes

It was a good beach with peaceful and calm breeze. I think people hardly ever visit this place, so the nature still fresh

I suggest you to prepare walking around 800m from the parking lot and don't forget to bring Sandals because you may get in trouble with the sticky dirt. Nevertheless, the beach was clean and well maintained.
