Love Love Love this farm and they're farm-stand on site! They practice regenerative and biodynamic farming, producing the best tasting veggies and fruits around! As a nutritionist, I am all about diversity, seasonal, local, regenerative. I can't recommend this farm enough! Join their email list for a weekly list of what's available!

We found this on the top of a list if places to visit in the area which does not say much about the area. The view was very nice but the produce on offer was not great in quality. Left without making a purchase because we could not find anything that looked appealing.

Its not just a farm with a stand. It is a travel destination with the most fresh produce, delicious roast almond, chickens and cats.
Caviar — Google review
Super cute farmstand. Lots of options from root vegetables, greens, and fruit. Everything was fresh. There are duck eggs and chicken eggs and really good focaccia bread as well! Definitely worth a stop IMO 🥬🥦🧄🧅
Alicia T — Google review
Lots of great pumpkins and produce as well as local cheeses and meats for sale. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there were two cute kittens snoozing at the front of the store. Would definitely return here for produce in the future :)
Rachel M — Google review
The homemade "Grass Fed Beef" sign drew me in and I was immediately impressed. Nothing is quite as welcoming as being met by a labrador for a game of ball as you pull in the drive. This place is the real deal for organic and sustainably grown foods, from seasonal produce, to cheese, fresh eggs and glorious, glorious meat! The staff was warm and helpful and the prices super reasonable. I will be back!
Jesslynn S — Google review
The store is unique with its interiors and locally grown produce. Fresh veggies are delicious and everything is sustainable and pesticide free. Can’t be more organic than that!

Lavender Bee Farm is a family-owned establishment with 5,000 lavender plants and numerous beehives. They offer a year-round shopping experience for honey and lavender products. The neighboring Live Oak Farm also has a public farmstand that provides fresh seasonal produce on a daily basis. The owners of Lavender Bee Farm conduct small weekend tours, lasting about an hour, where they explain the process of growing and harvesting lavender while caring for the bees that rely on its flowers.
We booked a small private group tour for 25.00 per person and we enjoyed several hours at the farm on a luckily cool day! We were served lavender lemonade, and lavender honey drizzled fruit and pizza as a little treat. Rick and his lovely wife were great hosts and we had a wonderful time learning about the different varietals of lavender on the farm and about the bees. We also enjoyed buying up a bunch of goodies from the farm shop. Thanks for having us! We'd love to come again next year :)
Halley M — Google review
Had such a great time here, it's an incredibly scenic property. The owners host a small 1½ hour tour on weekends where they'll tell you about how they grow and harvest the lavender as well as take care of the bees that feed on the flowers. Afterwards they'll give you as much time as you'd like to take plenty of photos for your social media of choice. Make sure to call a week or so in advance to get a space on the tour, since it's quite a small group. $15 pp entry, and a jar of delicious raw lavender honey was $10
Zeph — Google review
Excellent. Learned all about bees and honey and many uses of lavender. Lovely personal tour of the lavender fields and tasted lavender lemonade. Yum. Thanks for great visit!
Robin G — Google review
3 acre parcel where the lavender plants are grown, very informative, learned about bees also. Light fruit snacks served too.
Inger R — Google review
Fun family outing! The owners are really dedicated to their work and are so kind and friendly! We did the tour too early in June and the blooms weren't out yet so go in July. The honey was delicious and they offered us samples.
Mary J — Google review
I visited the Lavender Bee Farm to do an engagement photoshoot this weekend (August 21, 2016). JoAnn and Rick were amazingly accommodating and helpful! They answered questions when I called to ask about the farm and sent me test pictures to see how the flowers were looking this late in August. When we arrived on Sunday afternoon, JoAnn gave us a tour of the grounds to help us find a few great spots. She told us a bit of the history of the farm and that they have ~4,000 lavender plants! We got to sample the honey and see the lavender products that they sell as well. Overall it was a fantastic experience.
Marina K — Google review
we had a great experience touring this farm as part of the blossoms, bees and barnyard babies event. They are friendly. They have fields of lavender. They make their own lavender honey. They also have chickens, himalayan bunny. A beautiful and blessed place
Qi M — Google review
Kinda disappointed, last week I made a apmnt for 1 pm today. It was my last day of vacation I rearranged and even canceled some family things to go to the farm store and no one ever showed up. I called a few times left voicemails 2.5 hours later still no call back. I waited around in town all day for nothing. Really sad I wasted a big chunk of my last day. Edit(sorry it took so long) the owner called us back after a bit and explained they had a bee emergency he had forgotten to let his wife know we were coming and she was outside tending the animals and couldn’t hear the phone ring he apologized profusely and agreed to make it right the next time we’re in Cali or if we placed a online order.

Petaluma Creamery Ice Cream & Cheese Shop is a must-visit in Petaluma, known for its delicious cheese and ice cream made with fresh, local ingredients. Established in 1913, the creamery is not only a popular attraction but also a historic landmark. Under the ownership of Larry Peter, the creamery aims to support local dairy production and farming while contributing to the area's economic growth.
We’ve been buying cheese from this creamery in Southern California, and it is delicious. We stopped to visit on our way to our friends. Their ice-cream is fantastic too
Anna S — Google review
We stopped in to grab some lunch and cheese curds. The cheese selection is great! And loved the five options to sample. The sandwich was huge! And lots of meat and cheese. Really tasty! The girl working could not be less interested in being there. But she did make great sandwiches.
Karen S — Google review
I'm rooting for this place! They have some new leadership behind the counter and she seems eager to reinvent the experience once she gets her ideas rolled out, which is an exciting prospect. The service we've received, dropping in on a semi-weekly basis for some ice cream, has been great. Outdoor seating is sunny in the afternoons, and there is a small greenbelt with large leafy trees right across the street. It's a pleasant and mellow place with a seasoned, down to earth charm (the business is more than 100 years old). We plan to be regulars this summer.
Michael M — Google review
Picked up some amazing half goat cheese and ice cream. Both were superb, and the whole place just has a really good vibe!
Olya L — Google review
Really great quality ice cream reasonable prices. We would have bought cheese but alas too far away from home, next time.
Matthew M — Google review
I've been going to the creamery since I was a little kid. We used to have factory tours and saw how cheese was made..for a child, it's an experience that you never forget. As an adult, you can bet your bottom dollar that I have not forgotten the temptation of glorious dairy products offered up by this Petaluma institution. I have said many, many times they have the best ice cream in the world, and folks, I've eaten a lot of ice cream..and gelato..and every ice cream derivative in my life. But in all seriousness, I will stop in here every time when I'm back in my hometown to have some of their fine goods. If you love creamy, pure, unadulterated bliss in the form of ice cream, go stop in today and be happy 🍦🍦🍦
Michelle G — Google review
Not what we expected but the cheese was great! Asiago was delicious. Staff was pretty subdued and not overly informative or inviting.
Laura W — Google review
McKayla was so nice and offered some suggestions on what cheeses we would like (the spicy jack on sourdough was a great combination for grilled cheese). We were able to get a tour and Kevin was so knowledgeable! You can taste the difference in quality and approach at this local creamery.

Achadinha Cheese Company offers a farm tour and cheesemaking class for those interested in experiencing authentic ranch life and tasting delicious cheese. The farm tour provides insight into the cheese-making process and allows visitors to see the goats that supplement their diet with brewers grain from local breweries. The cheesemaking class offers a hands-on experience in crafting cheese. Visitors can sample a variety of cheeses, including Cowpricious, Portuguese Broncha, and kefir.
This was one of the best tours I've had in my life. And I rarely enjoy organized tours in general. We had a work event organized for our team that I was hesitating about going to. But I'm happy I went. The tour is lead by the owner of the farm and it's fascinating to see how a relatively small operation functions. They love their animals and take great care of them. The amount of information I learned was days worth of processing afterwards. The tour ended with a lovely chat over a glass (or two) of wine and some cheese. A terrific experience. Highly recommended.
Nikita R — Google review
We just bought the broncha cheese from the Fairfax farmers market tonight and put it on our spaghetti and it was DELICIOUS! So much flavor and freshness added to our dinner from this cheese, we’re so happy we found your company! Definitely will be returning to get more!
Nicole N — Google review
This is a great family owned creamery that makes a variety of cow milk cheese, kefir, and butter. They offer tours at 11AM on Saturdays for only $40 per person. This is well worth it as it is lead by the head cheesemaker. You hear the story behind the brand, get to tour the cheesemaking facility, visit the various animals, and finally taste some cheese. It is a very informative tour, but may be a little long for young children. Since you are buying cheese directly from the farm you also get a discount. If you are in the area you should definitely book a tour.
Nicolas D — Google review
Attended one of the cheese making classes yesterday and loved her property and the cute animals... but we didn't make cheese and didn't learn much about cheese. She gave us milk curds to take home and gave us a tour of the property, which was very informational, but it wasn't a "cheese- making class".
Mari V — Google review
Amazing experience. The tour and host were very informative. It is good to know where your food is coming from, how the animals are treated, what they eat, how the process works. If you are not vegan and only vegetarian, it’s informative and reassuring. The cheeses are the best! Greek feta to perfection, kefir, yellow and white cheese, yum. The life of the farmers is so hard. From now on, I know where I will be getting my cheese and hopefully also my eggs! Highly recommend the tour!!!
Zoi E — Google review
Had a tour with my family. This place is a Working ranch. We arrived very early. No problem. Restroom available and a place to sit. Got a chance to pet the dogs and some goats nearby. Great tour by Donna. Lots of info on the cheese making process and farm living along with seeing some of their other animals. Excellent cheeses to taste and purchase after tour. Highly recommend!
Daniel M — Google review
This was an incredible farm! Family run, small, but full of life and Donna knew so much information! I am a person who knew nothing about farming or making cheese but Donna was a perfect guide helping me understand step by step how her farm functions and what processes her and her family ( animals and humans) go through in order to create the best cheese possible! This was most definitely a worth while trip and I would recommend the tour to anyone who is interested or just wants to know more about cheese!
Feroez C — Google review
What a great time my daughter and i had there. We loved it! Very informative and a great family business! Loved the baby cows and pigs! Great tasting at the end of tour. Went home with yogurt and cheese and curds. Thank you again for sharing your farm business with the public; otherwise we would never be able to experience anything like this. Thank you Donna, you were wonderful!

Lagunitas Brewing Company is a popular craft brewpub located in a lively stretch of wine country. The brewery offers beer tastings, snacks, and a retail store, along with regular live music for visitors to enjoy. Additionally, the company provides brewery tours for beer enthusiasts to learn about its history and brewing process while sampling hop-forward beers and other unique brews.
This is hands down one of the best brewery experiences I’ve had. The vibe is super laid-back and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and really knows their stuff. They’re happy to help you navigate the tap list, which has a great mix of classics and creative small-batch options. The IPA is still a standout. The outdoor patio is a great hangout spot. It’s dog friendly, family friendly, and just has a really good energy. Our dog Emma had the best time and made a few new friends. Whether you’re a craft beer fan or just looking for a chill afternoon, Lagunitas is a solid pick. I’m already looking forward to going back.
Fernando A — Google review
What can I say that has not already been said about this wonderful local brewery that has not already been said? Well see I am not really a fan of alcohol. Never had any issues with it just not a fan. But Lagunitas is much more than beer. They have an amazing covered patio that covers the seating area for an outside bar and inside bar and food service. They have events merchandise and tours that you can take. It is a truly beautiful establishment well ingrained in Sonoma County and especially Petaluma. I was eating with some coworkers there today and I got the spicy chicken sandwich with the barbecue Mac salad. One of my friends got the 3rd pound burger, and my other friend got the chicken salad sandwich. All the food is top notch albeit they brought my friends beans late after he had finished his meal. Other than that zero complaints!!
John R — Google review
Visited Lagunitas Brewery on a Sunday midday after our daughter’s soccer game. We had a pretty big party of 14. We did not have any issues getting seated. This place is family & dog friendly! The vibes are great from the moment you walk through. The service was fantastic. Food came out in stages but drinks were flowing. I love the fact that they have a vegan burger option. I asked mine to be lettuce wrapped & they absolutely accommodated me!!! If you are a beer fanatic; this is a must stop!!!
Elaine R — Google review
All the staff was very kind and the service was fast. Drinks come to the table very fast. We had a huge pretzel with cheese sauce and it was amazing delicious 😋 We also ordered a clasic burger and the meat was juicy, but well cooked. Everything was very delicious and I recomend you try the garlic fries they are delicious.
Maria G — Google review
Great beers, good food, slow service. We drove out of town to visit Lagunitas twice over the weekend. I’ve been drinking their beers for 20 years now, so it was a long overdue visit. I love their limited selection of beers. Almost too many too try! Although “unlimited” we both absolutely loved the Hazicus Maximus. It’s bomb and at 9% ABV it creeps up on you. But service was fairly slow both times. Second time we came, food was coming out 45 min to an hour. And there were some real inconsistencies with items like the BLT. First time it was bomb, second time it was super skimpy with way too much mayo. Wings were good though! Also, they need to hire more waiters? You got like one waiter per 10 communal tables at times. The staff though generally friendly. And we were chopping it up with one of the tour guides. He loved our dog. A couple of the staff were messing me about my Sierra Nevada brewery hat; it was fun. The swag shop is pretty good too. Spent way more than I thought I would haha. We will definitely be back, just gotta be prepared for a crowded and loud ambience and fairly slow service. The beers make it all worthwhile though!
Evan — Google review
Great time, plenty of seating and good beer! Really enjoyed the food and the fact it was extremely kid and dog friendly. They had a lot of beer you can't get in stores, and it was fun to try a bunch of crazy ones -

Had really high expectations for the food at this place as it was highly rated on many platform. We left a bit disappointed. Maybe we tried the wrong things however the pork chop dish was a bit burnt lacked salt and flavor. The fig and prosciutto pizza was nothing special. I would add a drizzle of olive oil or balsamic glaze to tie it all together. The farmers salad would be perfect but it was missing a sweet component such as dried cranberries or a fresh apple. Not sure if I would repeat but a bit disappointed.

Great food! Great location (close to waterfront, central)! Great vibe. Friendly staff. Tons of vegetarian options. Highly recommend. We tried their Sweet Potato Quinoa cakes, Into the Woods Pizza and Polenta fries. DELICIOUS! We were full but also wanted to try the Mac n Cheese and Shepherd’s pie. 🤤

Went for lunch with a party of 7 and had a decent meal and experience. We had reservations so we were seated quickly. Nice atmosphere and good range of menu and wine selections. Started with appetizers of an olive plate and a roasted cauliflower plate- both very tasty. Our meal selections included a WGB burger, adult grilled cheese and soup, the Veggie Delight, a salad special, and one Gone Fishing. Good solid entrees, nothing fancy, but good. Staff was pleasant and service was good. Parking in the area is challenging and mostly 2 hr limit spots. Reservations recommended if you’re going.

Very quaint little restaurant with excellent food and service. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. I had an heirloom tomato salad that was very, very good. Well prepared and beautifully plated. Friendly staff and clientele. Conveniently located in one of the nicest parts of Petaluma. Reservations are highly recommended because there were quite a few people waiting when we left.
Bill M — Google review
Amazing experience overall! Food was incredible and we had a great server. Although the great service didn’t end there, the bussers, host and food runners all had great attitudes and were extremely helpful and friendly! However I would say if you have a seating preference then you should make a reservation as they are typically pretty busy. We wanted to sit inside but we had to sit outside as it was fully booked (our fault :) ).
Austin G — Google review
Service, ambiance were great, as usual. My lunch friend was raving about the cakes, which I had never tried, so we ordered one slice of one, to share. Once it arrived, she was astonished and embarrassed to have recommended it. It was not a generous slice, very dry, and seemed several days old. I didn’t want to be too critical, as she was the one who would recommended it, but everything she said seemed spot on. She had doubted it as the best cake in town. I’m sure, if it had been fresh, it would probably have been more pleasant, but for $14 a slice, and a small slice at that, it was very disappointing

Della Fattoria Downtown Café is a popular bakery and café located in a historic 150-year-old building in downtown Petaluma, CA. Known for its artisanal bread made with organic flours, Brittany sea salt, local olive oils, and natural starter from locally grown grapes, this café offers an array of breakfast items, sandwiches, pastries, and beverages.
Talk about French pastry heaven! I enjoyed a sticky bun which was easy to eat in increments. I also devoured the veggie hand pie. It had great flavors and was extremely filling for lunch just on its own.

A star on the Petaluma BLVD this cafe which is larger than. It seems is larger than life!!! it truly breathtaking atmosphere is celebrating Sonoma County to its fullest!! I walked in and got a single seat immediately at the bar. I ordered the Tuna Piadina - A Classic Tuna Melt on Pan Fried Pizza Dough, Cheddar Cheese, Peperoncino, Arugula, Citronette Dressing. Wonderful wonderful wonderful robustly flavored sandwich. A little too salty but not much. I also got a Bloody Mary what came with a prawn and was very well balanced! All in all I highly recommend this establishment.

Della Fattoria Café in Petaluma is an absolute gem! I stopped by on Monday with my daughter and we were instantly greeted the staff and the atmosphere is super friendly. We ordered an iced coffee and shared a strawberry cream puff pastry—both were amazing. The pastry was flaky, fresh, and just the right amount of sweet, and the coffee was perfection. A perfect little treat in downtown Petaluma. Can’t wait to go back!

Stopped in on a Saturday morning in the summer as a family of five. The area was lively and bustling. We were seated in the side room and taken care of by Grace (who deserves a shout out for being patient with us as well as kind to our grumpy toddler, enriching the overall experience). We ordered an array of dishes: from the Della Bunwich, the Della Scramble, the standard Egg Breakfast, and the toast topped with smoked salmon. We also accompanied our meals with honey lavender lattes, a golden tumeric latte as well as a rooibos tea. All the flavors were great and just what we needed to kick off the day. The bread tasted fresh and the sausage and eggs were well seasoned and mixed well with each other. I should say that the golden tumeric latte was a very unique flavor, an earthy, healthy tasting drink that might not be for everyone but complemented the food really well. The toddler also picked up a chocolate croissant that she devoured, so likely very good as well!

Just breakfast? Nope! Much better. A fantastic menu. Atmosphere that is wonderful. Lots of guests and it wasn't loud. We were able to have a normal conversation. Our server was the best. She added to our experience. Joyful and fun. But wait, there's more. Our plates were full and the quality was impressive. Flavors were dreamy. It was a little expensive. Still, you can't have a high standard for free. Our visit was worth it. And, we will certainly be back.

Restaurant
Old Chicago Pizza Restaurant, a long-standing pizzeria housed in a historic structure, specializes in delectable deep-dish pies synonymous with the Chicago style. This beloved establishment is renowned for its mouthwatering, cheesy offerings that leave patrons thoroughly impressed. Customers often opt for the petite variant adorned with three toppings, which proves to be more than sufficient for two individuals. Furthermore, the garlic bread served here is impeccably fresh and immensely satisfying.
Old Chicago Pizza. My father’s favorite pizza place! We first went here in 1979, a few years after we moved to Petaluma. The style, comfort and food have never changed! Easily to me the best pizza in Sonoma County! The deep-dish Chicago style pizza is…to…DIE FOR! It cannot be beat in my humble opinion. Great memories with my family here as well.

Old Chicago Pizza Restaurant – 4.5 Stars We had a great experience overall at Old Chicago Pizza. The wait was a bit long, but once we were seated, things moved smoothly from there. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food definitely made up for the delay. We ordered the thin crust, which was tasty and well-cooked, though in hindsight I wish I had followed my gut and gone for the thick crust—it looked amazing at other tables. The toppings were generous, piled on with no skimping, and the flavor had a nice tangy kick that set it apart from your average pizza joint. All in all, Old Chicago delivers a solid, satisfying meal in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit—just come hungry and maybe a little patient!

This place did not disappoint! To start, you’re sure to be greeted by their friendly and attentive staff that go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. I’m a huge fan of deep dish pizzas and Old Chicago Pizza makes them with all the quality ingredients you’d want to go in your pizza! I went with a medium pepperoni and sausage pizza and it was very filling! I can’t wait to come back and have their deep dish pizza again!

Came here to give it a try since we were craving pizza and have roots in Chicago. It has a really cool atmosphere and definitely gave me Chicago vibes. There are a lot of options on the menu for pizza and we chose the deep dish pizza with sausage, pepperoni and fresh tomatoes. It was delicious. We really enjoyed it. We tried the strawberry and original cheesecake for dessert. It was a little different for our liking but we still tried it anyways. The cookies are also very good and they are served warm with whipped cream. Overall, we really enjoyed this place. Being that we have kids, we were worried we would interrupt people's dinner but it's pretty open and was noisy so it made it easy for us not to have to stress about our kids being somewhat loud.

Old Chicago is an institution in Petaluma. Theres a reason it’s been at the same location since 1978. What’s not to love about excellent pizza at a great location (former house of…shall we say ill repute). Seriously though, if you’re swinging through Petaluma and craving pizza, THIS IS the place. And that’s saying something since Petaluma is full of excellent food options (pizza too). I’ve had deep dish pizza IN Chicago, and they don’t hold a candle to Old Chicago. Ok, I’m a biased Petaluma native, but still. Show up early evening or you might be waiting. Expect to wait a few before the pizza arrives. I think reservations are only for 6+ people, and you definitely want to make said reservations for a large group. One last thing….you WILL leave full.

I've been here one time before about 10 years ago when I was in high school and it's still just as good, if not better now that I eat a bigger variety of things! Our server was incredible! Very attentive and we were a decent sized party ( 8 adults and 2 kids) and we didnt have a single issue! She cut the first slices for all 3 pizzas we got and made it look so easy... when I tried to do it... sessshhhhh. Haha not as easy as it looks! Anyways, the garlic pesto bread was to die for! I would go back for that alone! I dont usually have it because I dont have a gallbladder and having anything that heavy would take me out but I had 0 issues which is unheard of! So I'm thankful for that! The salad was awesome and they gave us so much ranch! I will be telling everyone e and anyone I know to give this a place a try if they haven't! It's tucked away in downtown petaluma by the Mystic theater and parking is my only complaint but honestly after eating all that food the walk did me some good haha. Will deffinitly be returning and bragging to others so this place can continue to turn out incredible deep dish , delicious , works of art pizza!

Old Chicago Pizza, a Delicious Deep Dish Experience My recent visit to Old Chicago Pizza was truly memorable, especially when I ordered their deep dish pizza. Despite just three ingredients, the pizza was nothing short of perfection. The ingredients complemented each other beautifully, resulting in a rich, flavorful bite every time. What really stood out was the impeccable consistency. The cheese was melted just right, not runny or greasy and the sauce had a perfect balance of tang and sweetness. The crust was outstanding, with a deliciously savory flavor and a satisfying, sturdy texture that held everything together beautifully. Overall, Old Chicago Pizza nailed it with this simple yet expertly crafted deep dish. It’s a must-try for anyone craving a hearty, well-balanced slice of Chicago-style pizza. I’ll definitely be returning for more!

Service was excellent and love the asthetic of the old building. Exposed brick is beautiful. The pizza is very good and I was full from one slice which is great. Good prices for how much pozza you get.

Event venue
Brewsters Beer Garden is a laid-back, open-air venue in Petaluma, known for its modern BBQ and local craft beers. With a 350-seat capacity, it offers a bocce court and a children's play area. The beer selection includes local brews like 101 North Brewing Co. and Lagunitas Brewing Co., as well as tap takeovers by breweries such as HenHouse Brewing Co.
Brewsters is a fantastic outdoor/covered dining destination, especially for those who enjoy live music and a lively atmosphere. The vibrant decor, particularly during Halloween and Christmas, is festive and truly over the top, adding to the overall charm of the place. It’s a great spot for families and large groups to gather, but be sure to make a reservation to secure your spot, as it can get busy. With its welcoming vibe and delightful ambiance, Brewsters is hands down one of my favorites to take people. An amazing and enjoyable place to relax and unwind.

Someone recommend this place, and I wanted to try it. Well, lucky me, as it was a very nice experience. It's good for anyone, the whole family or the whole sports team if needed. Food come in, like, under 5 minutes. Staff, extremely friendly and nice. The brisket was awesome. So, I do recommend it to you All. Enjoy.

Fun, energetic and happenin' place! Great food options and service was outstanding! Our group had chicken sandwiches, burnt end mac n cheese, shoshito peppers and a sampling of different beers! Ambiance was fantastic - live music, tv's, games and picnic tables galore! Kid friendly. We made reservations.

Oktoberfest at Brewsters was a blast! Great food like schnitzel and giant pretzels as well as great beers. The band was excellent and the staff were amazing. There were staffers covering every aspect of service with good cheer. The energy levels were impressive, both customers and staff. This is a must do during October.

if you are in the area, this is a super chill spot to hangout and have some yummy food and beer. Parking was a little rough, but you won't regret it.
Rin S — Google review
The atmosphere seemed nice at first, but the overall experience was disappointing. Because it’s an outdoor restaurant, insects were a noticeable problem during the meal, which made it hard to enjoy the food or conversation. And it is worth mentioning it’s not exactly in the cleanest area either. The food itself was average — nothing that really stood out. For how expensive everything was, the quality and portions just didn’t feel worth the price. It wasn’t terrible, but definitely not something I’d rush back for. Overall, it looked promising, but the combination of high prices and constant bugs made it a letdown.
Yucky_Yummy — Google review
Finally a great outdoor beer garden, with really good food options. Very family (and dog!) friendly if that matters to you. If you don’t want to be around children, recommend waiting til after 8pm to visit. We were a group of 5 (2 adults + 3 teenagers plus a well behaved dog). We got a few burgers (juicy, flavorful and a generous portion), a fried chicken sandwich (enormous and actual chicken under the breading) and a salad (fresh and flavorful - just right amount of dressing). Service was very friendly and adequate (a few times we wanted like an extra plate or napkin and it took some time to get our waitress’ attention). All in all an excellent experience. We all left feeling happy with our meals and the time we spent together. Cheers to you Brewsters!

Sonoma Portworks is a must-visit winery in Petaluma, California, known for its unique wine-tasting experience and delicious wine-related desserts. Unlike the many vineyards and wineries in the area, Sonoma Portworks specializes in port and dessert wines, offering a tasty selection of locally made products. Visitors can enjoy tastings of their limited-edition gins and whiskeys at Griffo Distillery or sample flavored vodkas at Sonoma Coast Spirits.
We had one of their Ports (the Petit Syrah) at a Napa restaurant and had to come and visit the tasting room. We really enjoyed tasting their various fortified wine and the fig liquor. The flavors were distinct and unique but recognizable.

I enjoyed some fabulous ports here today- my favorites were the Rose Port & the White Port (made with Chardonnay grapes). They were paired with a variety of wonderful cheeses from Bellweather Farms. The staff were all welcoming and knowledgeable.

Such a charming place with such a pleasant and charming team! Though we are not port enthusiasts, we went thinking it would be just a fun excursion. Turns out—port is delicious! At least the ports here are! FIVE STARS!

We were passing through Sonoma and found Sonoma Portworks by chance on Google Maps. Small but cozy tasty room with quite a few port varieties. Murray was awesome and made us feel welcome, very chill and knowledgeable. So glad we stopped by for a tasting! We stocked up and now have enough port to last us the rest of the year. Can't wait to come back for a restock.

What a hidden gem in Petaluma and especially if you like Port, sweet, and dessert wine if you don’t want to go all the way to Portugal. There’s a parking lot and street parking. Bathrooms are located outside and they have a nice tasting area. I’ve tried their rose port, petit Syrah, deco (chocolate), and maduro reserve which was my favorite because it had a little whiskey taste to it and didn’t seem as sweet as the others. A lot of people really like their deco/chocolate port. I regret not taking more bottles home and to gift to people. The servers were so knowledgeable and friendly and were awesome!

It was love at first sight when I visited their old tasting room in Kenwood years and years ago. We came here today for nostalgia AND my birthday. Amy helped us with all the pairing/suggested recipes and beyond. we had such a great experience. Even though port isn't everyone's thing, they are great to incorporate into cooking, dessert, cocktail etc. All the ports we tasted has its character so it is hard to choose one! We ended up getting three bottles and joined the Port Club. i cannot wait for our next shipment, which i already know what to order.

This was a highlight of our stay in Petaluma! It’s not often you come across port tasting. I realized after booking our hotel that it was on the next block. We had the pleasure of chatting with a well-traveled couple. Our host was knowledgeable and guided us through the tasting experience. We ended up leaving with several bottles of port and their balsamic. You won’t regret trying them! 🫶🍷 5 stars well deserved!

Sonoma Portworks truly is a step above! My father loves port and to celebrate his birthday last September, I wanted to get him a special bottle from Sonoma Portworks which is located in his hometown of Petaluma. My father also likes chocolate with his port and I wasn't sure how to coordinate getting him a nice box of chocolates and port without him having to run around to a few locations to complete his gift since I am not located in the area to have been able to do this. In steps the fine folks at Sonoma Portworks. I spoke to Caryn at Sonoma Portworks about his gift and when I mentioned pairing some high quality chocolates with a Sonoma Portworks port, she pitched an idea to me that was absolutely beyond kind and thoughtful: she would stop by Wine Country Chocolates in Sonoma (not in Petaluma), pick up chocolates that I had ordered, and package them with my father's port. Given that these two businesses are about 30 minutes from each other, it was more than I could have asked for and a gesture that was truly going above and beyond. The end result was a very customized gift that made my father's birthday so special and one that helped me feel like I was there to put it together even when I wasn't able to be present. Thanks Sonoma Portworks!!

Brewery
HenHouse Brewing Company's Palace of Barrels is a must-visit spot in Petaluma, Sonoma County. This industrial-cool taproom offers an array of unique and innovative beers, including the An Honest Day's Work red rye saison and the Juiced! mango gose with mango puree. The brewery releases fresh cans every Wednesday and is known for its well-balanced flights. Visitors can enjoy signature local brews as well as special releases by the pint or taster.
My wife and I stumbled upon Henhouse while on vacation. We were traveling back to San Francisco after a day in Sonoma. Wow! We got lucky! The vibe was amazing and the beer was fantastic. Really, any brewery beer will typically do the job, it’s the people which make the experience. The people here made the experience perfect. If you are in the area, this is the place to stop. It is very pet friendly but not annoying if you are not an animal person. Salute!

I've been several ties with friends while in town. The food trucks are always high quality and reasonably priced. We are so grateful to HenHouse Brewing for their generosity in donating beer for our fundraiser to help save dogs in Contra Costa County. Their support helped make our event a huge success, and the beer itself? Absolutely phenomenal. What makes HenHouse beer so special is how it’s made: always fresh, unfiltered, and unpasteurized. Brewed in small batches with an eye toward quality and creativity, each flavor bursts with vibrant hop character and balance. HenHouse has built a reputation for brewing with intention—showcasing the artistry of hops while keeping drinkability front and center. I agree. DELISH. Our guests loved the lineup and I borrow this writing from online descriptions: - Hollow Moon IPA – Bursts with tropical guava and piña colada notes from Mosaic and Sabro hops, perfectly balanced. - Frozen Envelope IPA – A hazy, juicy treat, dripping with orange, pineapple, guava, and grapefruit. It looked like a creamsicle in a can and tasted even better. - Big Chicken Double IPA – Bold and brimming with hops (Mosaic, Simcoe, Amarillo, and more), this is HenHouse at its hop-forward best. Best Life Blonde Ale – Smooth, crisp, and lightly hoppy, the perfect can to crack open any time. And great graphics! Not only were the beers a hit, but HenHouse’s generosity and community spirit shone through. They did not just donate—they partnered with us in creating a fun, memorable experience, and I'm confident they got alot of fans post-event. Simply put, HenHouse Brewing represents the best of Northern California craft beer: inventive, community-minded, and always brewed with passion and care. Plus their graphics are so fun! We can’t thank them enough!

The Petaluma Market is a fantastic place to shop. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they have excellent deli and produce sections. I always choose this market over Whole Foods because the prices are fair, especially for their fresh produce. Even their deli sandwiches are reasonably priced. However, some specialty items can be quite expensive.
This place is great, I always shop here when I need groceries, has a wide variety of food and even some specialties that I can't find anywhere else. Apart from that, the employees are nice and always helpful.

Gourmet! I stopped here for a delivery sandwich and to my surprise there was a salad bar and a hot food bar. My husband got a deli sandwich and he was very satisfied. Great place that is pretty much located in the heart of Petaluma’s historic downtown. They offer a lot of the staples you need, but the caveat is that it’s a bit pricey. The convenience, though, typically outweighs the added price. Also, their hot menu as you just walk in is usually good fare—love the morning bacon, eggs, and hash browns.

I purchased two pounds of mussels from Petaluma Market on the 4th of July, but when I got home, I noticed most were dead (shells open and unresponsive to tapping). I cooked and ate the few that seemed okay, but within two hours, I had severe food poisoning—vomiting and stomach cramps. I’m extremely disappointed, as this was not only a waste of money but also a health risk. Proper handling and freshness checks for seafood are critical, and this batch clearly didn’t meet safety standards. I hope the market takes this as feedback to improve their seafood quality control.

This place is absolutely wonderful. They are kind and very knowledgeable. They also have a cheese subscription which I highly recommend. I liked the organized, informative cheese tasting experience. It’s much better than going to a cheese store and randomly try a bunch of cheeses. It was a cosy space with friendly staff. What's better than cheese and wine? Nothing!! The Petaluma Cheese Shop and Barber Cellars has an incredible selection of cheeses from all over, and amazing boutique wines. If your lucky, you get to meet and spend time with the owners, Mike and Lorraine. Aside from making incredible wines, they're cheese nerds. We went from a single visit to making this our regular Thursday afternoon hang.

My husband and I came here after seeing they are known for their white wines. The wine was delicious and the cheese tasting was just as amazing! It’s the perfect portion for 2 people as you get to pick 3 cheeses and it comes with prosciutto, salami, jam, and mustard. If you’re still hungry after, they have amazing grilled cheese sandwiches on buttery, flaky brioche bread! This is a place known more for their whites, but in our tasting of 4 wines, one of them was red. The staff is super friendly and provided excellent service. This was a wonderful experience all around, and we will definitely be back!! They also have a wine club you can become a member of if you’re interested! You get your very own wine glass with your name etched on it to keep at the tasting room, so it’s always there for you any time you stop in. There are more perks as well, but you should really just stop on by and find out for yourself. You won’t regret it!

Azari Vineyards & Winery is a hidden gem nestled in the scenic Petaluma Gap appellation. The 35-acre farm, run by Parichehr and Kamal Azari, offers a unique cross-cultural experience with Persian influences evident in their winemaking approach and hospitality. Visitors are required to make appointments to explore the estate, where they can indulge in the delicate Pinot Noir and other estate wines while surrounded by blossoming plum and quince trees.
What a wonderful place! We stayed in their AirBnB and got to explore the premises and had wine tasting at the winery. Hosts are incredibly nice and hospitable. Winery is beautiful with gorgeous views and delicious wine. Cyrus made us pizza from scratch in brick oven. Everything is clean and they are following COVID guidelines carefully. At this point you have to make an appointment in advance. We are hoping to come back soon and bring friends. Definitely recommend adding this place to your exploration of wine country.

Loved Azari Vineyards!! The wines were terrific. I loved the rose and my husband loved the Pinot Noir. The Shiraz was also lovely. Maritza was terrific and lead us through the tasting and we loved our conversations. She was so nice and since we were the first ones of the day she was even nice enough to take our photograph a few spots. The vineyard grounds were gorgeous!!! We will definitely come back when we are in Nor Cal and I’m hoping they will have some branded coasters and glasses for purchase 😉 Oh! And I can’t forget their vineyard dog Sky!! She was the first to greet us and she is so well behaved and even came over and took a picture with us!

I love, love, LOVE a day at Azari! Lovely hosts, great wine, delicious wood fired pizza, and stunning scenery. I love that they have Airbnb rooms now, adorable, and yup, I would stay there a week and explore the rest of Petaluma! But so far, I've never made it past Azari - why go anywhere else? Love it!
Traci V — Google review
My friend and I went here over the weekend for a tasting and it wasn’t completely how we expected. The woman pouring for us was great and the wine wasn’t too bad. However it was incredibly confusing to find the winery! We’re both local to Petaluma too but there was zero signs that we saw saying Azari Vineyards to let us know where we were. And then there’s supposedly a daily code you need to enter the gate? But no one told us that in advance and we never would’ve received it if I didn’t call saying we were lost. It definitely should be posted online or in your booking confirmation that there’s a residential iron gate you have to go through with a daily code and to call etc. otherwise how do you know?! The experience to just find the winery definitely put a little damper on our tasting, otherwise it’s a beautiful spot and decent wine
Ally S — Google review
The grounds and wine buildings are stunning, the wines are good, and the descriptions given by the staff were very informative. I especially enjoyed the Shiraz and it’s history. I also appreciated the relaxed atmosphere (vs Napa mania). That said, this winery has so much more potential. 1. The Petaluma Gap is blustery and several umbrellas, including ours, launched through the air during our tasting. This is a liability. Purchase rectangular sun coverings and ditch the umbrellas. 2. Our table was unstable. 3. The meat/cheese board was delicious, but we were not given any description of what was on it. This is also an opportunity to sell the products served. 4. The website mentioned wood fired pizzas and we were looking forward to that, but none were being served. 5. While I appreciate not being rushed, our empty glasses sat quite a while with no attention between pours. 5. Signage is poor. Our driver deposited us at the first building, but that is the owner’s home (Sorry for the knock!) We walked to the next building, but that is where wine production happens. Finally we came to the tasting area. All should be signed. Again, this is a lovely winery I am happy to have visited. With a few improvements, it could be exceptional.

You can feel how much they care for and love this sanctuary and the animals which are very happy. Definitely recommend for everyone but always remember this is their home and always respectful. Thank you so much and will be back next month!!!

Farm tour with cute rescued animals. We had a private booking for a bachelorette party in the morning and everything ran smoothly. Chelsea and Jody were spectacular and so helpful. I really liked feeding the guinea pigs as well as the pigs. The goats were a bit aggressive but they adhere to the philosophy of the squeaky wheel getting the grease, so I appreciate that. They had llamas, emus, cows, horses, and ponies to feed as well. We spent a couple hours there; wear close toed shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit smelly (it’s a farm after all). Free parking available.

My family and I had a great time here today on our 1Hour tour. You could tell the love and care these animals get is great. Enjoyed the hedghogs (Spike and Sonic), Oliver the potbelly pig, Cowboy the Highland, and much more... Definitely recommend anyone that loves animals, this place is good to visit.

Absolutely amazing! I booked a one hour private tour for my family of six (19-52 yrs old) and everyone was so entertained. We requested some extra time with the donkey and Jodi was so accommodating. We loved feeding all the animals, getting to brush and pet most of them as well, and just learning about their mission as a rescue farm. You can tell all of the animals are well taken care and that each animal's situation is accommodated to by the family!! You can expect animals of all sorts including cows, horses, donkeys, zebra/zonkey/zorse, guinea pigs, hedgehog, alpacas, goats, sheep, pigs, emus, camel, and more! Genuinely such a fun day, would 1000% recommend for families of all ages!

I visited this incredible sanctuary with a youth group. I was really impressed with all that they have done and do each day to care for all the animals. We got to help feed quite a few different animals- Guinea pigs, emus, cows, mini horses, alpacas, pigs and goats! I loved brushing the mini horses too!! It was touching to see the love they give for their senior animals and recent arrivals. They recently got an Emu that had been a stray and came in with an injured leg. They give her extra care and know exactly how and what she likes to eat :) I wish I lived closer so I could help them in some way. It’s very apparent that they put so much work and effort into the farm sanctuary. I recommend going on a tour and/or volunteering your time to help them out. The owner, Jodi, is an amazing, hard working and dedicated person. I am grateful for all she does for these animals and our community!

I've thrown a 10th anniversary party here, and it was fantastic. Couldn't recommend a better site. However, I'd like to comment on their everyday experience: 1. The atmosphere is super chill and relaxing, and the bartenders are fantastic people: knowledgeable, friendly, cool. 2. The hard alcohol is really excellent, and they have a wide variety of bitters, syrups, and so on. 3. They change up the cocktails constantly, but also always offer the basics and will make something for you on request if you ask. Honestly, just an excellent way to spend an afternoon. And then you buy a bottle or two for later.

If you're on the lookout for a reliable supermarket experience, look no further than Safeway. This longstanding chain is known for its impressive selection of both brand-name and house-label groceries, along with delightful offerings from their deli and bakery sections. One standout location in Petaluma has garnered praise for its cleanliness and organization, making shopping a breeze. Customers rave about the attentive staff who go above and beyond to assist shoppers—whether you’re stocking up for a camping trip or just picking up everyday essentials.
The Safeway at the corner of South McDowell Blvd and East Washington Street is one of the best Safeway I have visited recently. The store is immaculate and organized. The workers are super attentive. We are here to purchase more supplies for our camping trip. But one of the items we can't find in the store. I talked to a young gentleman who was working on the floor restocking. He goes above and beyond to help me with the item I want. Excellent good customer service they have in this store. This store is perfect for the five-star review.
Michael W — Google review
Got a cake for my niece not completely frosted, not even and separated. We had picked it up and drove from McDowell to Albert way
Sissy C — Google review
It’s as good as a Safeway can get, really. My only gripe is the grocery pick-up procedure, which has recently become cumbersome. There are always people parked in the designated pick-up spots up front, which makes it hard for the delivery person to find your car. These poor delivery people have to lug my groceries all the way from the back of the store to the front parking lot, dodging shoppers and cars—it takes them about 5-10 longer to bring my groceries than it used to, also. I strongly recommend that Safeway return to the old grocery pick-up procedure: in the back of the store, where there’s always parking and our grocery orders are right there to get them faster. It just makes more sense and is more convenient, for both shoppers and delivery staff!
Julia G — Google review
They were really in sync today, processing orders, stocking shelves, manager was seen on the floor, doing those manager things. Lots of employees with genuine smiles on their faces =happy customer

Deceitful with their pricing and coupons system. I'm actually bothered by their practices so much, I will only go if other places are closed. And I've discovered I'm not the only one who feels like they are a shady business. Sale prices are normal prices elsewhere. Gotta watch em here.

Plant nursery
Cottage Gardens of Petaluma, Inc. is a charming garden center that feels more like a stroll through a vibrant botanical paradise than your typical nursery visit. With an impressive array of plants, flowers, trees, and grasses—nearly 80% of which are cultivated right on the premises—this destination is truly a plant lover's dream.
I'm speechless. Rare for me. I have traveled the world, visited every state in the US, gardened all my life, always had large yards filled with nature. I moved to Petaluma CA 3 months ago from Hawaii. When I decided to create a new garden in a new town I visited 3 local nurseries. This was my last stop and it will not be my last time here. I AM STUNNED BREATHLESS BY THE MAGNITUDE OF THIS GARDEN. The thought, planning and love that created this paradise is beyond description. So just enjoy a very few of the heavenly beauties available for purchase. Maybe I died and in Heaven?
Maggi H — Google review
What a cool retail experience...as the gardens are laid out and displayed so differently and unique. Care and effort are noticeable right as you enter the gardens. The layout was a joy to wander about, and they had such an array of inventory to choose from. Everything looked so healthy and vibrant! Loved the chicken coop in the back area. The prices seemed reasonable and there's plenty of art and accessories for your dream garden. We spent about an hour here wandering about and deciding just what to take with us. It's very easy to get distracted in here, so have your list ready! Enjoy...

It’s disappointing to encounter irresponsible sellers. I went to Cottage Gardens of Petaluma to buy roses because of a promotion video on YouTube. After I bought it, I discovered they had rose canker on each cane. I reached out and sent the photos as the owner requested. In response, she emailed me back and admitted that the roses indeed had rose canker. The advice from the owner Fionuala was simply “spray the lesions with a fungicide to prevent further spread.” So, essentially, it falls on me to deal with the consequences because they grow and sell roses with cankers on them? It’s a reminder for all of us to thoroughly inspect roses upon receipt, especially from sellers like this. 🥀😔 If you want to prevent fungal infections from spreading to your entire garden, it's best to avoid purchasing from this place. Unfortunately, we had to discard the roses with rose cankers in the end to prevent future contamination.

Another superb experience at one of my favorite local nurseries. The 30% off sale began today and I did my annual shopping spree! Yes, local nurseries tend to have higher prices than big box stores but the difference buying local is vastly different. You are able to chat with the staff there who are all very well informed with plants. Additionally, there are varieties not available at the chain store. Shopping local is an experience - even just admiring the flowers, gardens & scenery is delightful. I couldn’t be happier with my sensational new plants! Now, it’s time to get digging 🪏

Wow! Wow! Wow! How had I never heard of this amazing place! We were looking for some native and decorative plants for our yard, and it was Labor Day. Many other places we usually go to were closed, so we headed to Cottage Gardens! I felt like I was a kid in a candy store! Everywhere I looked, there were amazing varieties of plants. I felt like I wanted to redo my entire garden with all the amazing plants here! The staff were all so friendly and amazing! I can't say enough wonderful things about this awesome place. Do yourself a favor and head over there. Even if you feel you don't need anything, I bet you will walk away with something new and lovely to enhance your garden!

Last summer 2024 I came from Oregon to California to visit my son. I’ve been watching Cottage Gardens of Petaluma Utube. We took the trip from San Jose to Petaluma to see the garden. What a beautiful experience and such an amazing garden nursery. Pretty much every conceivable plant you would want in such a beautiful setting. Since I’ve been watching the YouTube, I spotted Funuola and had a chance to talk to her. It just so happened that day that Janey from Dig plant Water Repeat Utube was there filming that day! So we got to talk to both of them and even got pictures together! So fun! I highly recommend going to this beautiful nursery🪴🌺🌸🌷🪴🌺 🌸🌷

**late review-some safety/health measures may be different now** I visited cottage Gardens a couple months ago; I have had it on my list of plant places so go and I’m glad I carved out some time to stop while I was in the area. The garden center is up a secluded road and then down a dirt driveway and it feels like you’ve entered a new world when you arrive. They have gorgeous and whimsical statues out front which add to the “secret garden” type feeling. I did have to wait in line to follow their social distancing protocols and the max capacity. They were only letting 6 people in I believe and you HAD to pull a cart with you. Once I got inside I was delighted to wander briefly to see what other interesting plants were hiding there. Of course my favorite part was the succulents, they had a nice selection in price and size. I also enjoyed how the whole nursery has nice sloped paths to lead you up and around the property which is tiered slightly with some parts being more uphill. The staff were so friendly and kind. I will definitely be back!

East side Farmers' Market is a great spot for food shopping. An array of fruit and veg from local ranches, frozen meat & seafood, mushrooms, baked goods. Jo's Greenhouse is the place to grab egg, bacon, cheese sandwiches, burritos all freshly-baked; covid has eliminated tables & chairs but there are park benches nearby to enjoy the food and coffee from Johnny's food truck. Parking can take a while but people are coming & going and spaces open up. A most agreeable Tuesday morning experience !

We had the pleasure to meet Deborah and Dennis, the proprietors and owners of this farm/ vineyard. What a beautiful spot! Overlooking the green, rolling hills of Petaluma as well as an expansive acreage that they have curated for their horses and cows. We understood that their nephew oversees the wine making, which we found delectable. In addition to the setting and quality offerings, it was very personable and local connection that made this a very special treat for us. We are visiting from San Diego to connect with friends in Petaluma. We ventured here with little expectations but were so pleasantly greeted and accommodated that we would make this a regular visiting spot. Thank you again, Deborah and Dennis, for sharing a bit of the narrative for how this vision/dream came to become a reality for the two of you and for the offerings you make to your community and the people who visit you all. Many blessings to you all. My only regret is that I was not here during the weekend to try out one of their burgers. I picked up a pound of their grass-fed and look forward to making one at home.

I came in here to get a coffee table and walked out with an amazing drawing of an artist who lived in San Francisco and New England and painted many different cities that I have been to. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful with describing the offerings in the store. This is a destination place to take your friends from out of town to check out things outside of San Francisco. I would definitely suggest this place and Petaluma in general for any out-of-town visitors and for folks looking for to do something different in the Bay Area with visiting family and Friends.. Super friendly staff and amazing items! People say they’re expensive but they accept offers, and do layaway. I’ve had them give me a break on price lots of times. I’ve found things here more than once that no other antique store in the area had. Having an antique store of this size and diversity of items in Petaluma is such a great thing and people should support it. Just walking around in there looking at stuff is so interesting and a great lesson on history.

Vintage bank has three, very large flies of arts, antiquities, and more. The main level is easy to access, but you have to take stairs to the other floors. The main level had many sculptures, pierced of pottery, and furniture. The lower level abounds with books and paintings, with several small, offshoot rooms that you could easy miss if you take a whirlwind walkthrough. There is more of the same noted above on their third level. The quality is the items definitely varies greatly, but many pieces are worthy of a new home. The staff is very helpful. They will help you identify the collector selling the piece and try to get a discount for you.

This place is where its at: Genuine thrifting and stellar team. The place feels like old school Haight/ Ashbury and I just love that it’s organized so well. I had dropped off a few items because I am ridding my storage, but I’m so proud they will be in this shop to find new homes. This is exactly the kind of team and shop I wanted them to be at. This is not only a local treasure but a perfect time capsule for so many things. Definitely stop by if you like things from the 60s-2000s. Love 💕 this place already!!

Great little collection of all kinds of things, and decent prices. Many clothing items don't have prices on them, so you have to ask, which I'm going to say is better for the environment and the merchandise, rather than getting all those little plastic and paper tags, that put holes in everything, and that have to be thrown away later. I got these leggings for $10 each, which, considering they are in new condition, is cheaper and better for the environment and fair labor costs than my ordering from any reputable online store. The staff member who was there was very upfront, friendly, and direct, and I appreciate their good energy!

Really great example of up-cycling, in such a throw away society it's great to see shops like this helping the community re-use perfectly good items and at ridiculously low prices. If you like thrifting, this place has everything from clothes, jewelry, furniture to multiple audio/video formats including a healthy stash of vinyl. Vintage magazines, posters, t-shirts, a veritable collector's dream, you just have to browse. Bonus amount of jeans and audio electronics that actually work. Worth the visit!
Chris C — Google review
Prices are not marked on items. Proprietor stated she was against using micro-plastics, and expects customers to bring each item to she for prices. I guess she has never heard of string and paper tags. Not many costumers in a thrift store don't want to know how much something costs or have the patients to haul up every item for prices. It's a bad business plan for costumer-friendliness.

G&G Supermarket has been a beloved grocery destination for locals since its inception, offering an impressive variety of products that cater to diverse tastes. Additionally, G&G boasts specialty foods and a charming gift section that adds to its unique appeal.
My review comes in late since they've closed and Safeway's taking over, but late or not G&G deserves applause! This is (for so many people) their 'Go To' place to shop. All those nearly impossible ingredients that can't be found for that ethnic dish you want to try? It's at G&G - or was... The produce in this store is the worst I ever seen in any store. The owner Jodi keeps blaming her employees for keeping all the rotten mushrooms, zucchini, mangoes, apples, grapes. pomegranates and more on the shelves. The produce employees tell me that she tells them not the put the fresh veggies on the floor until the old once are gone. Maybe they don't understand the importance of FRESH produce especially when the price is the same and often more then other local markets. I use to go there for most my groceries. I don't anymore. I have talked with the owner more then once and showed her the rotten veggies and she acted surprised. That shows one of 2 things. 1. She is not on top of her store 2. she feel her rotten veggies are great and we need to pay full price for them.

Avocados are awesome half the time, the other half they're stringy. Not as good a place as Raleys, employees don't seem super happy. Still, I come here often because it's cozy and close. They don't have everything I need and the breads are sometimes stale, and the chinese food is made in big quantities and overheld sometimes and not perfect. They have awesome G&G's peperoni pizzas that puff up huge in the oven.
Nokia N — Google review
G&G have some Chinese style prepared foods and more Asian food than other grocery stores which are the only reason I still shop here. But, please provide more varieties of vegetables like other Asian grocery stores in SF. I am so tired eating broccoli, squash, cauliflower, chard, spinach, etc, all these typical vegetables every day..... I think bring out more selection of vegetables will make G&G business different from others
Uirco A — Google review
I've done most of my grocery shopping here since I moved to the area in 2002. Things I like about it: - Great selection. For most items, they will have a standard selection of conventional brands, but also one or two organic options if you want to go that route. - Reasonable pricing. I very rarely, if ever, have the experience of finding something that I know I can get for significantly less somewhere else. - Dat deli! Huge selection of lunch meats sliced to order at their full service counter. They also offer deli salads, various olives and good DOLMA! - Cheese counter. Maybe not as extensive on the high end as what you will see at say Whole Foods, but a very big selection and if you want a fancy cheese, they have good options from places like Humboldt Fog, Cowgirl Creamery, Nicasio Valley. Very strong selection of more typical cheeses, your cheddars, jacks, swiss, mozzerllas and these are very reasonably priced. - Good representation of local brands. Clover, Strauss, Petaluma Farms (eggs), Petaluma Poultry (Rocky/Rosie chicken), plus many more specialty items. - Great bulk selection: spices, nuts, rice/beans, coffees. - Great Asian foods aisle. Pretty decent Hispanic and Middle-Eastern foods selection too. - Produce. May not be as highly graded as other markets, but just because an orange isn't ready for a magazine cover, doesn't mean it's less delicious. Great selection. One thing I appreciate is that you can be confident that they will almost always have some items in stock that may be hit-or-miss in other spots (e.g. fennel, baby bok choy, taro root). Very strong on produce that is common in asian cuisines.
Jay T — Google review
I've consistently found that they don't check the dates on perishables, and that there meat is not the quality that they tell you it is.
Joe C — Google review
Love the specialty foods they have available. Also really like their little gift section.

Sonoma Coast Spirits, a woman-owned distillery, doesn't offer in-person tastings but you can find their handcrafted artisan spirits at various local shops or get free local delivery. Their signature Grappa is a must-try, and they also produce flavored vodka such as espresso, jalapeno lime, and sweet ginger. The infused vodkas like Jalapeno Lime are highly recommended and perfect for elevating beach picnics.
If you haven’t already, you definitely need to try all the infused vodkas! The Jalapeño Lime vodka is one of my staples. The cocktails are also delicious and easy - definitely a great way to elevate picnics on the beach.
Paul B — Google review
Sonoma Coast Spirits is a fun stop, offering a rad tasting experience that showcases their infused vodkas and premixed cocktails. We scheduled a private tasting at their facility and were stoked by the creativity and craftsmanship behind each spirit. The G.F.C. was an absolute standout…bold, flavorful, and expertly balanced. And of course, you can never go wrong with their Lemon Drop, which was refreshingly smooth and perfectly tart. Their selection of infused vodkas is truly unique, with flavors that elevate any cocktail. Beyond the exceptional spirits, we love that Sonoma Coast Spirits is a family-run, woman-owned distillery. Their passion for crafting high-quality, small-batch spirits shines through in every sip. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind tasting experience, this is the place to go. Highly recommend stopping by and supporting this fantastic local business.

Additionally, it offers educational experiences for children and those interested in understanding the source of their meat. Located in Petaluma, the farm delivers fresh local produce and pasture-raised meat every two weeks to its members.
We took a self-guided walk at a farm with a self-serve store. The store had fresh, local meat (pork, chicken, beef), fresh eggs, honey, and some produce. The kids had fun seeing ducks, chickens, cows, and pigs. It was a nice stop, and the store items were great!

Nice farm with family run vibes. We bought some frozen meat from them and did a self-guided tour. We were only able to find pigs (which our toddler loved seeing) but I’m guessing other animals were just a little farther than we were up for walking

What a lovely day! Amazing for animal lovers, with very informative farm tour available FREE on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am. Our 1 year old loved it and we were really impressed with the quality of life the animals have. We we definitely be signing up for the kids camps and the meat box!

A wonderful farm created from the awareness that farm animals deserve to live good lives, with dignity - in the open air, under the sun, eating healthy foods - before being slaughtered. Even as a vegetarian, I'm totally in alignment with this philosophy. They offer farm tours at noon on Saturdays and Sundays - a great experience for the kids, and for anyone who wants to know where meat comes from, and to see animals living good, signifies lives.

So cute. I seen this places with lots of tents selling local made products and of course a BEAUTIFUL field of Dahlias. There was a band and a lady singing beautifully. A woman painting. A place for kids. A place for picnics. Food for sale. Fresh cute beautiful flowers. I purchased some to take and give to my grandma. What a special treat for a beautiful Saturday morning

Friendly staff @ entrance. Signage is clear 👌 nice to have a couple benches for picnic lunch. Charming place with 🎃 pumpkin patch. They have a nice assortment (about 8 colors) of dahlias. Pretty flowers, although 🤔 no sweet smell at all. Good place to visit - about 45 minutes is plenty.

First time visit and this place brings us so much joy. To say the blooms are gorgeous is an understatement. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a small grassy area where you can have picnic! I got this bouquet for $20, this is a total bargain consider all the sweat, tears, and effort to grow these amazing dahlia. It's free to wander in the field and the greenhouse. Fresh cut flowers and potted plants are for sell in the greenhouse. There are also a small area for children to play in!

Had a wonderful time here, came early in the season for a plant sale and found out they rent out space for events, and with covid I wanted to rent the venue out to propose to my partner. Planning was very easy the team went above and beyond and everything went smoothly. Great rates as well. Will be back multiple times!!

Megan was so gracious, and welcoming! I showed up with my kids when they were actually closed, and she took the time at the end of her long day to walk us around while she picked some flowers for us. Thanks again for the hospitality.
Erik G — Google review
Such a welcoming garden. They have the most beautiful dahlias I have ever seen, there’s probably about 100 different kinds, and you get to walk through and enjoy them for free. All that they ask is that you don’t pick or touch the flowers and that if you wanted to get some that you check out there fresh cut flowers in there cooler room . I had so much fun with my friends that I had to bring my mom and grandma. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to picnic or to go enjoy some beautiful flowers. They even do live shows every now and then. Such a wonderful place and will continue to go every year.
Maddie B — Google review
The Dalias are beautiful and so many variations, most of the staff was wonderful (all of the ladies) the gentleman up front seems rude, we asked for help cutting some of the Dalias, he stated "NO" I explained we asked for help over a half hour before, then he softened his voice and explained they get busy spurts...I understand busy, but the lady that told us she would be right with us could have explained that they are very busy and it might be a wait, instead we walked up and got a pretty rude "NO", at the point the gentleman stated that I explained to him we had already waited 1/2 hour, then I left. My fiance bought a few of the precut Dalias then we left...I wouldn't have bought anything from the gentleman, but if one of the super nice ladies was there I would have been happy to buy some from them. It was an overall bittersweet experience. The gentleman needs to learn customer service skills. Edit:8-30-18 I appreciate the ladies that were all helping out as much as they could that day...it was busy! The Dahlias are beautiful and we look forward to returning to see the new cooler and pickup some more fresh flowers! I want to thank the owner (I am assuming) for reaching back out to me, I love that they care enough to respond and we really loved this place...so we will return soon. 😁
