The Bonaparte Garden, situated above a car park of the same name in Vieux Port, is a must-visit attraction on Saint-Raphael Bay. This beautifully landscaped garden offers a serene environment for visitors to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy breathtaking views of the Old Port and the bay of Frejus/Saint-Raphael. From the concrete walkway, one can admire the picturesque scenery and even catch sight of Saint-Tropez on clear days.
A beautiful garden overlooking a yacht yard and the sea. Right in the heart of downtown Saint Rafael. We stayed in this place for 8 weeks during the summer, it's a perfect spot for young children
Matthew K — Google review
We spent a couple of chilled hours at Bonaparte Garden in Saint Raphäel, just wandering around and soaking in the relaxed vibe. The place is super cool with all these unique plants, palm trees and big succulents, and the view of the sea adds to the chill atmosphere. Perfect spot to unwind, discover some interesting greenery, and enjoy a laid-back afternoon.

Basilique Notre-Dame-de-la-Victoire, constructed in 1885 from pink sandstone, was designed by architect Pierre Auble to accommodate the growing population. Influenced by Byzantine-Moorish style, the basilica features a dome reminiscent of Istanbul's St. Sophia and an image of the archangel Raphael at its front. This sanctuary houses stunning paintings by Louis-Michel van Loo and offers spectacular views.
Beautiful place as is the town in general. A busy town, but not too crowded. Some interesting history

It's sad that the view of this wonderful cathedral is blocked by ugly buildings. It could be a picturally beautiful from Marina front. but...we have what we have. I love my feelings inside the cathedral. Peaceful.

The Basilique Notre Dame de la Victoire is a magnificent architectural gem. Stepping inside, one is greeted by a serene atmosphere, where the soft glow of stained glass windows illuminates the intricate artwork adorning the walls. The casino features a buffet-style restaurant with themed nights, a beautiful terrace, and a good selection of games. Visitors praise its location close to the sea, excellent food, great service, and wonderful staff.
Beautiful location with great food and relaxed atmosphere, breakfast and dinner here is top class and not over priced considering the beautiful surroundings
Derek G — Google review
Nice view. That’s it. Service was very slow. I’ve asked a snack plate for one person but they only serve for two. What’s fine. So I had just a few pieces of cheese and asked the rest of the plate to take away but they told me they can’t. Weird. That’s what left…
Monica B — Google review
Fabulous balcony bar with comfortable seating and marvellous views over the marina and beyond. The casino itself is quite small with a large restaurant and small bar inside. The staff were very welcoming and happy to sign us up with an access card on the presentation of passports, and a complimentary glass of Champagne. This will give us access to all Barriere casinos!
David G — Google review
Wanted to experience the casino. You know… « I’m on the French Riviera, (which conjures images in your mind), will go to the riviera casino (had the same issue with needing a passport to enter (valid identification, an European driving licence should be adequate) I don’t like to carry my passport out and about with me. Very nice lady on the bar, filled my empty water bottle for me. By then I’m inside, (couple of days later), and I wish to use les toilettes. Ugh 🤮 the toilets were filthy. There are 2 toilets available, one is supposed to be wheelchair accessible, that is not well enough equipped for anyone in a wheelchair. No lids on the toilets, no soap in the dispensers, all sorts of yeuch in the toilet bowl. So I didn’t feel inclined to use them. On the way out, I told the girl behind the desk, that they needed attention, but she « no speak any English » Very very disappointed I ended up going to McDonald’s
Kiwi57ie — Google review
Wanted to enjoy an hour or so of the casino. Originally walked by and tried to go in and they mentioned about having ID - fair enough (I mean I am pushing 30, over 10 years above the legal age but I do understand) went back to our hotel to grab some ID. Went back with a valid UK driving license (aka the same ID that will get you into anywhere everywhere else in the world) for the rude bouncers to turn it away and state we had to have a passport? Sorry didn’t realise it was border control standards for an average at best casino.

Museum
Musée Louis de Funès is a small but heartfelt tribute to the legendary French actor and comedian, Louis de Funes. The museum showcases his extensive career, with over 150 films and 100 stage productions. Visitors can explore his life, work, and personal belongings in a 400m2 space. The museum also offers insights into his family life through exhibits in his castle and garden. It's a must-visit for fans of this influential figure in French cinema.
Loved this museum, it's very well made and engaging as they have videos playing that takes you back to a comical journey with Louis de Funès. The staff is friendly and since it was a weekend it was a free entry for us. The place is right in front of the train station,so do give a visit if you are in the city.
Ancy C — Google review
I had the best hour at the Louise de Funès Museum in Saint Raphäel! If you’re a fan of her hilarious movies, you’ll love this place — it’s packed with cool memorabilia, funny photos, and little surprises that make you laugh out loud. Totally worth the visit if you wanna see where all the magic and laughs started. Definitely a must-see for any comedy lover!
Codry H — Google review
A wonderful time remembering the great moments of De Funès carreer or discover it to learn more about this one of a kind french comic. While you can buy your ticket online, don't be afraid to buy it on site. At the moment there is a Chaplin/De Funès expo which provides a unique take on the link/inspiration that Chaplin had for De Funès. You can also buy a zero (0) euros bank note commemorating this unique museum. Please note they are printed from the same material and place that prints France legal Euro tenders! This will be a truly nice gift to remember Saint Raphael!
Frederic D — Google review
It was fantastic experience, we made lovely memories. We love Louis de Funès and his movies so to learn a little bit more about him, his career, life and friends was memorable and exciting event.

The Saint-Raphael Archaeological museum showcases a variety of historical findings ranging from prehistoric artifacts to Roman excavations and medieval catacombs. Despite its unassuming exterior, the museum offers a wealth of fascinating exhibits and is definitely worth visiting. Visitors can even climb the bell tower for stunning views of the town, seaside, and hills. The exhibits are well explained (mainly in French) with lovely settings that include an iconic garden.
The "Mythologies" exhibition in Saint-Raphaël is a true gem. For just 3€ per adult, you can explore two fascinating locations that bring ancient legends to life in a fresh, engaging way. Each space invites you to step into the world of gods and heroes, sparking your imagination and offering a unique cultural experience. It’s an easy walk from the town center, making it a perfect stop during your visit. I thoroughly enjoyed the blend of art and history—definitely worth the visit!
Matthieu A — Google review
Easy to miss this free gem but well worth the visit. Well laid out and some English language guides otherwise my phone translated the rest. The church is amazing as you can see the development from the fifth century to the twelfth like a cut away drawing. View from the tower worth the climb.
Jeremy L — Google review
Visited this hidden gem on a Thursday in August while staying in Saint Raphael at a nearby air BNB. The museum was recommended in the guide from tourist office and definitely did not disappoint. The museum exhibitions ranged from paleolithic history to modern day diving. The only downside was that the only English text was a fairly short visitor booklet, but you can't expect everything to be spoonfed. Furthermore, the church tower and crypts were amazing with good views from the top and an amazing insight into the older church beneath the modern day church. I particularly liked the archaeological gardens showing the history of plants in the area in terms of their introductions and use in medicine. If you are staying in Saint Raphael or just visiting for a day this free experience is definitely worth your time.
Mackenzie R — Google review
Wonderful museum with the best view in St Raphael. The museum is archaeological in nature, but has a really cool scuba diving history exhibit as well as WW2 exhibit. Completely free. You can go through the whole museum in as little as 30 minutes. We spent about an hour
Matthew K — Google review
A historical museum with proper guidance and directions. You can even go on top of tower to enjoy the city and an external garden to sit for some time. The museum is not far from old town and city town hall.
Travelling H — Google review
Lovely small museum, with nice settings and well explained legends (abeilt mainly in French). The garden is also iconic.
Jerome B — Google review
You’ll find this small museum in the middle of the center. Free of charge. You see a lot of history coming by. Pity that there were no explanations in English.

Beach
Plage Veillat is a large, sandy shoreline in Saint Raphael, offering opportunities for swimming and sunbathing. It is well-equipped with cafes, showers, and toilets for visitors' convenience. This beach is renowned for its proximity to the city center and accessibility to various facilities. The sandy terrain allows you to stroll in the water comfortably.
Beautiful beach in center of St. Rafael. It's not to crowded and it's sandy which I personally prefer. Every 50 m you can buy something to drink in small shops at the shore. Very easy to approach and very clean to swim. Recommend.
Sonja P — Google review
Safe and clean beach with lifeguards on duty, but it would be nice if it had showers, changing rooms, proper toilets... All in all, nice place to chill and swim.
Emir A — Google review
One of the best beach in Saint Raphaël, close to city centre with all facilities. A lovely sandy beach where you can walk in water on sand. It’s always crowded so an early landing on beach will be good move to find your favourite place and stay all day there to enjoy swimming, sunbathing and even your family and friends picnic in evening as well. Pro Tip: Sunset is having an enchanting view so stay there during sunset and even after to catch some beautiful moments.
Travelling H — Google review
This is probably an underrated beach in this area. We are staying in St Raphaël and kept looking for other beaches around while one of the best was right in front of us. Water was clear, minimum waves, good for swimming and kids, lifeguards on-duty and most importantly if you are indeed staying in this little beautiful town as we are, you are within walking distance to one of the nicest ones in the area, no need to drive, no need to find parking (although if you are coming from somewhere else and driving, there is plenty of parking at the Bonaparte parking garage next to it). Also, restaurants and shops are a step away, and when you want a break from the sun and want something to eat or drink, pack, go, and repeat all day long. Pictures are from both a sunny and a cloudy day. I recommend you make a visit to this lovely town and nice adjacent beach!
Sergio H — Google review

Michael P — Google review
Great spot for anyone new to the city. Felt safe using this beach. The water was great even in September.
Stanislav N — Google review
Beautiful, clean beach, accessible to everyone. In september easily found place, as it was not that crowded. It's nice, city beach with fine sand .
Suz — Google review
Small (long and narrow) beach. Good for kids. The breakwater shields parts of the beach that is further away from the ferris wheel very well and is a big plus if you have smaller kids. The old town starts across the street with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. There are multiple parking lot structures at the beach (both free and paid). If you cannot find parking, consider going to one of the parking garages in the town.

Fun City is a popular destination for families with children, offering a variety of activities and attractions for kids to enjoy. Despite some concerns about older children not respecting the younger ones, many visitors have had positive experiences at the venue. Parents appreciate the opportunity for their kids to engage in sports and celebrate special occasions like birthdays. The maze is particularly enjoyable for young children, although it's important for parents to keep an eye on them due to its size.

We checked it out for future reference. The place is ok'isch though not worth driving to. The theme is dinosaurs. There is a bouncy house, a climbing maze and a very small race track. Park
Parc Aurélien is a lovely natural park that offers a peaceful and family-friendly environment. It features an annual "Fete des plantes" with workshops for children, food, and animals. The park's informal atmosphere makes it a great place to walk around, admire interesting trees, and explore the remains of the Roman Aqueduct. With its impressive size and serene ambiance, it's an ideal spot to enjoy nature with your loved ones while breathing in some fresh air.
Never do you see a park in all of France like this you can just drive into! So there’s that. Then the aqueduct itself. So cool, so ahead of its time. A closer look got us talking about what a hurry they must have been in when they built it (old rocks boulder mashed together inside, vs exterior got tidier and nicer stones). Also the HUGE effort that went into building up the giant pillars-especially in one place you can see just how large the thing was, compared to the relatively narrow area designed to transport the water. Such care, so vital to promote its flow. In another place you can see tidy brick masonry from WW time-probably pretty close to how it actually looked back then in 1930s. “Well, it’s here, we may as well figure out how to use it, we can’t do this war without providing water for hospitals and military camps”—after seeing this you can see how politicians/generals/ engineers might have thought in that way.
Laura P — Google review
The Park is nice enough for a walk but not something I would make the effort to see from a tourist perspective. The ruins are small and not a lot of information with them. The villa is okay but not amazing. We ended up leaving the tour early.

A search action was started and rest of the group went back to the harbor with the boat. Not sure if they found the guy. I guess they did

Awfull experience. I have been there with my dad about 1 week ago, I booked the experience of parachute one day before with my mum SPECIFYNG that I would do the trip with my dad and not with her. We came there the day after with about 30 minutes of advance. We waited for our turn and we went to the desk to pay. We got rejected because they told us they tought that i should've done the experience with my mum and not with my dad, when the day before we stressed the fact that i should've been there with my dad. We couldn’t do it because they said the wind wasn’t enough, so we just left the place and searched for another one. Not far from there we found another place, that offers the same activity, that accepted us without problems and immediately. I have to put 1/5 because there is nothing worse than this.

Organised this for my two teenagers. The actual parasailing part is really good and efficiently run. Great experience and a really good place to do this. However - although they advertise go pro rental, they didn’t have any. No one seemed to have them, so it didn’t look like there were any at all. The man in charge of the boat spent quite a bit of time making fun of my kids for being British and made them feel quite uncomfortable. It is worth knowing that they take multiple groups on the boat at once, so you get your 10 mins in the air, but are on the boat while all the others take their turns, so the kids were on the boat for about an hour. They enjoyed the boat ride and the views, but we hadn’t realised how long it would take .

Plage du Débarquement is a picturesque and laid-back beach featuring a mix of rocky and sandy areas, offering visitors the perfect spot for sunbathing while enjoying stunning views of the offshore island and tower. The beach provides an opportunity for a leisurely 12 km route or an extended 4 km path to Camp Long.
It feels like the 50s. Old villas border the sea and seem to defy time as much as the elements. The place is quiet according to the seasons. Nevertheless, it is strange to have the sand upstream of the Peebles and not the other way...as nature decides, usually. ;-)

Large rocky beach. There are trees under which you will find natural shade. There is both sand and stone. The stone is also in the sea, so take your shoes in the water. If you come here early you can park in a large parking lot without any problems. There is an interesting monument from the Second World War. The showers didn't work. It is better to avoid toilets and not use them.

Great location, very easy with the train. The parc is just 200 meter closed to the train station. The lake is awesome. Unfortunately the place is not so well organized by the owner of the park. The maintenance of the place is not always at the top, some glass on the grass closed to the lake. Need some improvement otherwise the site is gorgeous.

(Translated by Google) We have planned several activities over several days and for this, the ticket operation is practical. Depending on the activity, and it's very personal, I find that it's a little expensive or not (1/2 kayak is not expensive, the hour of aquapark is a little expensive for example). For the moment, only the aquapark has been tested, and it was really nice. It's big, the animators are pretty cool. Maybe I'm not objective, we were skipped a bit and we enjoyed it for 1h45 rather than 1h... 😁. Back another time, and they're cool about their schedules, no stress, it's nice. The same goes for kayaking. From an outside point of view, the treetop adventure section looks quite limited... A good medium size beach with sand , you can walk even in water , no rocks! calm and less crowded! Early morning is a treasure and Evening picnic could be interesting because you will find some people sitting at beach, enjoying food. Both sides of beach there is a costly rocky track to walk around, take photos and go further to see clanque de port Santa Lucia ( a very hard rocky track so take good shoes and water etc also very careful while walking on rocks ) On left side of beach you will find a track which takes you on Port of Boularis and many other beaches ( it’s an easy track with so many beaches )

This means that the beach is relatively uncrowded except in summer of course when it is prudent to come before the crowds. This beach adjoins the port of Boulouris. So sand but you have to enter the water on the right side, on the left there are a lot of stones but the water is shallow and clear before the boats stir it up too much. Equipped with 2 showers and a toilet, you will find no less than 3 restaurants! You should avoid coming to swim after the rain because a type of open sewer collects runoff water and empties into the sea, right next to the showers. Exploring Musée La Maison des Carriers is a fascinating experience. The museum showcases the history of Italian workers who arrived before 1900 to work in the blue porphyry quarries, where up to 1000 people labored under challenging conditions to cut and extract massive blocks. These blocks were then fashioned into paving stones of various sizes and transported by teams from Dramont to various destinations including Paris, Marseille, Nimes, Morocco, Romania, and even Argentina.

(Translated by Google) Visiting the Dramont quarrymen’s house museum is very interesting. We can clearly see that generations of Italian workers arrived here before 1900, to exploit these blue porphyry quarries. At its peak, 1000 people worked in fairly difficult conditions to cut and extract enormous blocks. And then work on the task, the size of the paving stones of different sizes. They were arranged by teams from Dramont to Paris Marseilles, Nimes Morocco Romania and even Argentina... A work of strength where solidarity was very present in the minds of stonecutters and multiple blacksmith trades... etc.. At that time the strength of man was the only tool since mechanization was still quite limited: carts filled with paving stones were moved by the big hands present and this exploitation until 1959. All this work carried out by private companies.... with a majority Italian workforce, French and Belgian bosses. A visit of great interest to bear witness to a very local industrial heritage in Provence, almost unique at that time, and a duty to remember the titanic work accomplished by these people. See the Golden Island facing the landing beaches of Provence on August 15, 1944, the chapel dedicated to the workers' wives as well as the quarries filled with water at the back of this space.... The municipality should put signposts on the main road and at roundabouts to locate this Museum which lacks visible signage on the busy main street. Thank you in advance for taking this into account and for the information to be provided by the Agay tourist office as well.

(Translated by Google) Café Theater with just over a hundred seats in a setting that has a history "A former garrison location, initially designed to store ammunition, the ramparts of the Porte d'Italie are the last vestige of the line of defense erected under Henry IV. Note that it is better to arrive in advance: free seating and a flat room. (Original) Café Théâtre d'un peu plus d'une centaine de places dans un cadre qui a une histoire "Ancien lieu de garnison, initialement conçus pour stocker des munitions, les remparts de la Porte d'Italie sont l'ultime vestige de la ligne de défense érigée sous Henri IV". À noter qu'il vaut mieux arriver en avance: placement libre et salle plane.

(Translated by Google) Great evening! We really enjoyed the comedy play. One small drawback. The stage for the actors should be higher so we can see the whole play. Especially if there are tall people in front of it. We will go back because of the great, friendly atmosphere. On y retournera car superbe ambiance conviviale.
