Garden
Nestled in the southern part of Coral Gables, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is a sprawling 83-acre oasis showcasing an impressive variety of plants from around the globe. Visitors can embark on a guided tram tour to explore the diverse flora, including palms, cycads, and vibrant flowers. The garden also houses an array of wildlife such as iguanas, black bears, turtles, and colorful lizards. A highlight is the lush rainforest with a captivating waterfall and sunken gardens.
Fabulous Park and gardens. We spent a lovely Saturday morning meandering through the gardens seeing incredible, mature specimens of rare and unusual flora. The rainforest garden is absolutely magical. The buildings are gorgeous. I highly recommend. This is a great way to spend the day and take a walk.
Marlohe M — Google review
It is such an interesting place. It's full of wildlife and plants. I enjoyed the butterfly room. They have these beautiful blue butterflies that come and fly near you. I would recommend walking through their simulated rainforest as well. The whole place is an amazing experience.
Silvia — Google review
Very well maintained. This place is big so be prepared to walk, there is a little tram that goes around but you need to get there early and get tickets for it. Love the butterfly butterfly enclosure. A big shout out to the young volunteers that release the butterflies and educates you about them!
Mika'ele K — Google review
Worth the stop! So incredibly beautiful, don’t forget your bug spray, you will get devoured! The gift shop is also beautiful. The paths are wide, there’s plenty of roads to go off on to explore. If you’re a plant lover, it’s a must! There’s a beautiful butterfly exhibitions where they release new ones every week (I believe it was 40 new butterfly a week).
Sabrina B — Google review
Many tourists miss out on some of the most beautiful areas of Miami. Fairchild Tropical gardens is one of those absolutely beautiful gems Miami has. Driving to it you will go thru a canopy of Hugh Banyan trees which is an introduction to what you are about to experience. Once inside you will see some of the most beautiful plants you have ever seen all set in a serene peaceful setting! Don't miss the butterfly conservatory which is amazing. (SECRET TIP) once you finish head to the Wayside Market for a delicious strawberry shake about a 5 minute drive! Enjoy!!
Eddie Q — Google review
Excellent botanical garden with a wide variety of plants and a very walkable layout. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. The butterfly garden for international species was very well done. There is a guided tram tour you can take that will show you the highlights. Overall it's an excellent place to spend the day enjoying nature, highly recommended.
Jozef W — Google review
We were extremely impressed with Fairchild! It's absolutely beautiful, and even though it isn't the most stunning botanical garden (not saying it isn't stunning...it is) I've been to, it really does have some of the rarest plants and trees I've seen! We brought our 8 year old and they have a garden wide exhibit at the time of this review where gigantic insect statues are hidden throughout. There's a scavenger hunt with a prize at the end (a nice quality metal pin). This was enough to keep her entertained whole my wife and I enjoyed the plant life. It also helped that there were iguanas EVERYWHERE, which she loved. Pro Tip: Definitely take the 45 minute tram tour. You'll find out about so many cool plants you would have otherwise not known about!
Mr3dPHD — Google review
Wow so beautiful here they have all tropical plants and trees here I even seen a jack fruit full of fruits! The butterflies are so cute they have cafes and drinks snacks too and if your military it’s free so get there early so you can ride the train before it fills up!!! This park is so big we have to come back to finish going through it all. It takes 2.5 hrs by foot or 45 mins on ride around carts.

Public swimming pool
Venetian Pool is a historic and iconic spring-water-filled pool located in Coral Gables, Florida. Built in 1923, it was originally a rock quarry pit used to mine oolitic limestone for the area's early buildings. Designed by Denman Fink and Phineas Paist, it was once dubbed the world's most beautiful swimming hole.
Super pretty spot to spend the day and cool off. The pool is refreshing and the amenities are nice. Lounge on the sand area or rent a lounger. Plenty of space to swim and cool off the pools are huge. Really pretty waterfall feature. The staff is very nice and accommodating! Really great to visit during the week as there were very little people there. Paid $17 as I am a non resident, which is still very affordable. Concession stand was under construction but there were vending machines with drinks and snacks available. Would visit again!
Ashley F — Google review
This is a must see while visiting to Miami. The pool is so clear and pretty it's from a natural spring. It has a kiddie pool, a sand area and the waterfall rock grotto you can swim inside. Pretty neat. It is deep i would wear a life vest however there were plenty of lifeguards. You have to park in this lot kinda down the street but it wasnt far and its about $20 to get in. I remember it was vending machines but im not sure if you can bring a cooler or outside food.
Vikki R — Google review
The Venetian pool is a pretty great experience! The water is a great cool temperature to take a break from the heat of summer! With its beautiful turquoise waters, it is a wonderful spot for family or a nice date doing something out of the usual. I will have to knock it for the parking. Although if you arrive early Enough it shouldn’t be an issue. If you arrive after 11:00 you’ll be circling a few times waiting on a spot.
Juan C — Google review
I absolutely loved this place. I purchased my tickets the night before because I heard this place gets packed. I'm very happy I did because when I got there at noon on a Saturday it had already reached capacity. Parking is a little tricky because of how packed it gets. I had to circle around a few times before I found a spot. Once inside I was taken away by how beautiful and clear the water was. Word of advice: wear the life jacket if you're not a strong swimmer. The pool is super deep in some areas. However there are more than enough lifeguards standing by at all times. The seating areas get taken quickly so try to arrive early. Also the concession area is currently being remodeled so take your own snacks and drinks. This place is totally worth the $17 entrance fee. Lots of greats spots for pictures too. Will be returning soon. But probably on a weekday to avoid the crowds.
Emilce R — Google review
This place is absolutely gorgeous. I was working in coral gables for over a year and never stepped in. Last week I had the chance to go for the first time and they just open the place for the season. You can enjoy en relax, also I have to mention they have a good group of lifeguards that keep monitoring the area and the people in the pool. If you love to swim, you will love the 8ft deep side of the pool. Definitely looking to come back.
Danilo R — Google review
Was impressed with this place, nice tucked into neighborhood location and felt the pool was bigger and better than I expected. Will return to again to explore the cave area as that had just been shut down for the day, as I was swimming to it. 8ft depth nice to swim long laps in, I wondered why it would be closed for season and now I realize it’s likely the leaves that would be falling into water and too much to maintain.
Vinnie C — Google review
This place is very beautiful. The water was amazing, and the waterfalls were fun. Clean park and plenty of seating areas. Pricing seemed fair enough, under $20/person. Locals obviously get a great deal. Still worth the sight and swim.
Stephanie H — Google review
This place has been here so many years! A private pool located in Coral Gables, but non residents can pay $21 non-refundable no matter rain or shine for the day! There is a waterfall, smaller shallow pool, and underwater cave. Picnic seating and seating under covering. There is a mini beach and a little Cafe to see get food that is reasonably priced. Now note if there is inclement weather they will remove you from the pools and outdoor seating for your safety. They will not refund your money..no matter how long you have been there. So choose wisely. Other than that this was a great place to spend the day. The safe was super nice and knowledgeable about the history of the pool!

Museums
Located within the University of Miami's campus in Coral Gables, the Lowe Art Museum was established in 1950 through a generous gift from Joe and Emily Lowe. It boasts a diverse collection of over 19,000 objects spanning 5,000 years of human creativity from around the world. The museum features fine art pieces as well as historically significant archaeological and ethnographic artifacts. Additionally, it houses public sculptures scattered throughout the university's grounds and hosts various events and programs for visitors to enjoy.
cute little place for the public to visit!! ive been on the UM campus many times for football, basketball games and to study but never got a chance to go in and see the exhibits. super cool!!! they have a glass section and new exhibits. its also free!! love how accessible the place is.
Megan Y — Google review
I was in the mood for some classical art and that is really hard to find in Miami! I was really happy with the Lowe Art Museum, they have a room of medieval art and a room of renaissance art, plus many other thoughtful displays which made me think. So glad I came!
Eileen W — Google review
The Lowe Art Museum is free to visit and offers a wonderful variety of art across many styles and periods. Parking is available in the garage across the street for an hourly fee paid by meter. The only downside to our visit was the abrupt behavior of the ride staff — at exactly 3:51 PM, they came in and announced that the museum was closed, turning off the lights without any prior warning. Official closing time is 4:00 PM, so a more courteous heads-up would have been appreciated.
Holly K — Google review
Small but plentiful in interesting art and exhibits. The front desk person was kind and helpful. When we went there was an art activity station where you can leave your own signature. All in all we had a great time. The best part was that it didn’t cost us a dime. In today’s world that is so rare and much appreciated!

Lowe Art Museum is an interesting place to enjoy some great artwork from all over the world. Entrance is free, but you'll have to pay a small fee for parking.

Spent a really nice day with my daughter at the museum. This place might be small but great variety and nice collections.

This is a hidden gem on the University of Miami Coral Gables campus. The have beautiful Dale Chihuli glass pieces, native American art, amazing pieces from ancient asia and old world masters. The museum is free to visit.

The museum tour was awesome. Nice to see such a wide variety of artistic creations. My favorites were the glass blown creations and modern colorful paintings that mesmerized the senses. I meditated focusing on many of these images and am grateful for the opportunity. It will be amazing to collaborate with the museum to enhance learning through art for future nursing students.

The Coral Gables Museum is located in a historic coral-rock building and offers gallery exhibits and a public plaza. The museum, established in 1984, is housed in a Mediterranean-style structure from the 1920s. It serves as a hub for exploring the city's cultural, social, and architectural heritage through various collections such as photographs, artifacts, documents, and interactive displays.
Emotion in Motion: Pablo Cano’s Marionette Opera at the Edge of Time In Coral Gables, behind the unassuming threshold of a historic home, an enchanted world unfolded. Pablo Cano’s Cricket Theatre was not merely a performance—it was an invitation into a waking dream where sculpture sways, discarded objects speak, and memory moves to music. It was, in every sense, emotion in motion. From the moment the lights dimmed, Cano’s world drew us in. Imagine the spirit of Sophie Taeuber-Arp—her angular, abstract marionettes marching with modernist precision—meeting the lyrical soul of Pablo Cano, whose creations don’t march. They ache. They waltz. They remember. As a ceremonial gong struck, the atmosphere shifted. The Forbidden City rose before us, and a Chinese princess emerged. Her arms, fashioned from lacquered chopsticks; her layered robe, assembled from vintage silks; her voice, carried on the soaring, operatic strains of María Elena Callejo. With every graceful turn, she summoned centuries of longing from behind palace walls. From the wings came a diva—a black rotary telephone marionette—center stage and done waiting. Her silhouette was commanding: a coiled wire spine, a vintage receiver slung like a stole across one shoulder, and in one wired hand, she clutched a modern cell phone with tragic hope. Her other hand, made from a defunct remote control, trembled ever so slightly. “I’ve waited eighteen years,” she crooned with a voice smoky enough to fog a mirror, “and I’ll wait eighteen more—but NOT. A. DAY. AFTER. THAT.” She was heartbreak wrapped in tinsel, comic timing dressed in despair. Think Marlene Dietrich meets Dada—soaked in Chanel No. 5 and humming with the static of unanswered calls. The lights turned to Fred Astaire. Not a caricature, but a presence—suited in sleek black, no top hat, no props, only his body shimmering with sequins as he tap-tap-tapped beneath a single spotlight. His rhythm was pure poetry—no gimmicks, just grace. And then came Marie Antoinette. Regal. Resigned. Draped in silver lace that shimmered like moonlight on water. Her aria built slowly, trembling with fate. And just as her final breath left her throat, a red ribbon unspooled—glittering, deliberate, rolling like a ruby teardrop from her neck to our feet. We didn’t clap. We held our breath. We whispered, “Wow.” After the final bow, the artist did something extraordinary. He opened his inner sanctuary. We were free to roam his studio, to ask questions, to touch, and to marvel. This was his ICI unit, where injured puppets are “cured.” Arms of guitar necks, legs of toothbrushes, hips made from domino tiles. But the faces—always the faces—carry the echoes of family. Cano revealed with reverence: “These are my Mother. My Sister.” The room pulsed with lineage. And somewhere, beyond the reach of our eyes but not our imagination, a dreamlike dressing room flickers into being. There, Sophie Taeuber-Arp’s geometric marionettes meet Cano’s expressive clan. They pause—angular lines versus lyrical arcs, abstraction versus narrative. For a moment, the tension mounts. But slowly, surely, they waltz under the marionette moonlight, sharing scraps and secrets. For that is what artists do. They build bridges from wire and wonder. Pablo Cano’s marionette opera is not a performance. It is a portal. And once you’ve entered, you’ll never quite see reality the same way again.
Drindy K — Google review
Nice museum. Great location. The staff is outstanding. They have a few exhibit rooms, so if one is under construction the museum is a little light. We were in and out in 15 minutes, which is the only reason to drop a few stars. But if you are in the neighborhood it’s worth a visit. I think they have events there which would be a great venue.
Robert — Google review
As a new resident of Coral Gables, I decided to visit the Coral Gables Museum to learn more about the city’s roots—and I’m glad I did. The building itself, a former fire station, doesn’t look particularly impressive from the outside, but it has historical charm and nice architectural details. The staff at the front desk gave us a warm welcome and provided clear directions to help us make the most of the visit. The main exhibit about the city’s history and founders was quite engaging. I especially appreciated learning about the boundaries and significant landmarks of Coral Gables—it helped me connect more with the city. The museum could benefit from more interactivity or modern presentation methods, but the historical content is solid. One room featured interesting art and photography, though I would have liked more context or explanations for what I was seeing. The gallery about the building’s past as a fire station was also nice, though it felt like it could be more developed. I was particularly impressed by the letters and documents from George Merrick, the city’s founder, which gave a deeper sense of Coral Gables’ origins. There was one section related to the Giralda of Seville, which seemed to tie into some landmarks around town, but I didn’t fully grasp the connection—some more information there would be helpful. The only real downside for me was the background music playing in the museum—it didn’t match the tone or subject matter and felt distracting. Maybe it was just a bad day for audio. Overall, the museum offers a meaningful glimpse into the city’s history and would be a great starting point for anyone new to the area. I hope they expand or rotate their exhibitions in the future to keep things fresh.

Very beautiful small museum in coral gables. Has about 10 rooms with art work. I was one of about 3 people there and it was a Sunday so it was not crowded at all. The staff are very nice. The entrance is $10 and when I left they asked if I could do a survey on my experience. The outside also has a staircase you can go up and see all of the buildings. Parking is on the side of the road, there's no parking lot.
Elietty D — Google review
Very poor collection. It should be at least 3 times less cost. The front desk told us to pay $49 for 2 adults+2kids. But the website said it should be $40. I bought online for $40 just right front of the front desk guy despite he wanted us to pay more. Anyway, even $40 it's way overpriced.
Olga K — Google review
Wonderful small museum, stop by if you’re in the neighborhood! In addition to the nice room of contemporary sculpture, there is a room about the history of Coral Gables and information about several projects the museum leads in the community. You won’t need hours and hours to see everything here, but it is 100% worth a visit.
Bryan H — Google review
I liked the exhibit they were featuring that night. A piece of Miami's history! Admission is sponsored and free the 1st Friday of the month, however the regular cost is reasonable. Parking in the area is crazy because it's busy, but it's not pricey. I liked the feel of it, something the whole family can enjoy if you like art and history.

Matheson Hammock Park & Marina is a popular destination offering a range of recreational activities and stunning views. Visitors can enjoy an artificial beach, picnic areas, a marina, and a fishing pier. The park also features hiking trails through mangroves and hardwood forests, as well as coral rock pavilions for picnicking. Additionally, it hosts various events throughout the year such as concerts and food festivals.
Love this park. Reclusive, clean, cozy with beautiful view of the city and open sea. Little private beach, great for children and family fun. BBQ is not permitted. However, there are plenty of picnic tables. And the Red Fish restaurant with an amazing menu. $$ Love, love this restaurant. I do very much recommend. Cheers.

Beautiful and relaxing place! You can have a picnic, a perfect place for photos, have to pay parking but worth it! Also has a beautiful restaurant! If you plan to go lr stay after 6pm, have a repellent because mosquitos are hungry in that place.

1 At Matheson Hammock park you can enjoy a day in the natural salt water tide pool where there is a restaurant and restrooms. The restaurant is open in the afternoons. Plenty of parking. 2. Boat ramps and plenty of parking. There are also emanates at the marina. 3. People of all ages can come and explore nature here their is plenty of places to fish from the shoreline and in the waterway under the bridge that spans it. This is a safe park. I rate this park to be highly user friendly in all aspects and the staff here AR very courteous and helpful. 4. There is no charge to enter or park at this park. Except for ramp fees.
John J — Google review
The venue provides an exceptional atmosphere, convenient parking, and is ideally suited for families seeking water-based recreational activities. The views are breathtaking. The restaurant is also excellent.

I had the chance to photograph a couple here at sunset, and wow, Matheson Hammock Park doesn’t disappoint. It's one of the few places in Miami you can get those golden skies without the bustle of the city skyline. The gem that might not be as well known is just beyond the Coral Rock Shelter, a tree-canopied trails and lush greenery that look straight out of a storybook. If you’re planning a photo session, especially around sunset, I highly recommend arriving early, Old Cutler Rd gets pretty backed up during rush hour. And if you can swing it, aim for a weekday (Monday–Thursday) to avoid the weekend crowds. It’ll make the whole experience more relaxed and way more magical.
Manny H — Google review
Boat Launch Area review: horrible. I mean it works, location wise is great if you’re south of the city, but jeez it does needs work. I understand that sargassum happens every year, and it’s beneficial for the environment for many reasons, but you’re charging a flat rate per vehicle per day, the boat ramp should be clear of seaweed and trash so people can access the water properly. Yes there’s a fishing dock next to the ramps, there’s a bathroom in decent shape, but the ramps are the reason people are using this facility. They need to do better.

Fantastic local park right on the water where you can watch wakeboarders and kiteboarders surf the ocean and do acrobatic tricks. A nice beach surrounding a salt water lagoon with a high end restaurant to eat and drink

The Coral Gables Merrick House is a museum that showcases the history of the city's founder, George Merrick. The house has been restored to its original 1925 condition, complete with furniture from that era. Visitors can learn about how the city was conceived through the eyes of Mr. Merrick. Despite negative reviews from some who found it boring or were disappointed by closures, others praise it as one of Miami's best museums and one of Coral Gables' finest landmarks.
This museum house is beautiful, big and an awesome thing to do when you have a free Saturday. The young tour guide was knowledgeable and really great at what he does. It was cheap too. I've lived in Miami my whole life and never even knew this was there until we passed by on our way to church

My sister and I had an extraordinary tour. Our tour guide was amazing, a Panamanian lady, so sorry I forgot your name. Her love for the history of this family and their contributions to Coral Gables made us love it too! The Merrick family is the reason why there is a Coral Gables!! If you love history, it's worth the trip!!

An interesting place to visit and learn about the history of Coral Gables. The tour I went to was on the weekend and started at 1 pm and had a nominal fee. The tours guide, ours as well as the one from the other group who joined us at the conclusion of the first tour, were very eager, knowledgeable, and informative.

Hands down one of the best museums in Miami. One of Coral Gables’ finest landmarks. It’s the best $5 tour I can think of, our guide Laura was amazing.

The Merrick House of Coral Gables is a must in Miami. Everyone should go to get to know why it is such a beautiful community. The tour guides have first hand experience on the history of the community, and the family that had the dream to envision it. I would recommend stopping here first, then walk down to the venetian pool through the beautifully banyan tree-filled streets, and finally to the biltmore Hotel.

I went with my child's school. The show was adorable. The theater is small enough for the kids to be close to the actors, and they loved it! Bathrooms were clean and staff organized. It is located in Coral Gables. We went inside the school bus, so I was not aware of parking. I just wish the actors would come out and take a fast picture with the classes. I do recommend this theater. Let's all support art!

My son decided to try out acting camp. The teachers developed a fantastic production allowing all kids to participate. I have to say the show was really impressive and the kids and teachers all did a fantastic job!

Came to this landmark theater for an afternoon showing of Girl on the Train and was not disappointed! This show was held in the balcony theater upstairs which is very small and initiate which was great for this play. The lobby was perfect sized for this event and theater but could see it getting busy/cramped for a show in the main theater. Will definitely see what else is showing here in the future!!

Excellent theater, watch some excellent plays, good content. A successful night on the town, theater is in great shape. Yhe average price per ticket is 50 and up, not bad for Miami. Support the arts

Deering Estate is a 444-acre historic site and nature preserve located in Miami. It offers guided tours, events, and programs, including hosting artists in residence. The estate is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and boasts stunning views of Biscayne Bay. Visitors can explore the largest remaining pine rockland habitats outside of Everglades National Park while enjoying a picnic amidst lush tropical greenery.
My boyfriend and I went on a date here and it was. wry nice! He loved history and I love pretty views so this was the perfect place! We were able to enjoy all the estates and take a walk along the property. This is such a hidden gem, I would definitely recommend for people of all ages.

Deering Estate is truly one of South Florida’s hidden gems. Tucked along the edge of Biscayne Bay, this historic landmark offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, rich history, and peaceful serenity. From the moment you arrive, you're surrounded by a sense of timelessness—lush tropical landscaping, grand historic buildings, and the inviting calm of the bay. One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the walkable nature trails. The paths wind through a variety of ecosystems, from mangroves to hardwood hammocks, offering a peaceful escape and the chance to spot local wildlife. Each step feels like a quiet journey through Florida’s untouched past. The guided tours provide fascinating insight into the history of the estate and its original owner, Charles Deering. The architecture and preserved rooms make you feel like you've stepped back in time. But what truly made my visit unforgettable was the sighting of a white peacock. Seeing such a rare and elegant creature wandering freely on the grounds was magical—like something out of a dream. It felt like a moment suspended in time, adding an almost surreal touch to an already beautiful experience. Whether you’re a nature lover, history enthusiast, or just looking for a quiet place to recharge, Deering Estate is well worth the visit. It’s a peaceful, enriching retreat that reminds you how special South Florida’s natural and cultural heritage really is.

I finally paid a visit to the Deering State. It’s a perfect activity to get disconnected from the busy city. Tickets are priced at $15 for adults but thanks to the Miami Dade Library Museum Pass, I was able to visit it for free. I enjoyed walking through the gardens, the Atlantic Ocean views and the architecture of the main building. All in all, a great activity for the whole family.

Been craving an experience like this. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions to better enjoy the visit and engage the visitors in the history of the State. The stone house was under repair and closed for visits, but still the rest of the state was beautiful and well maintained. This could be a good day long picnic family activity choice for those Saturdays that you aren’t sure what to do. Hope to visit again for their famous ghost tours during September- October, 7:30 pm - 9:30pm. Came in with a Museum Pass from Miami Dade Public Library, check it out for budget friendly visit.

Deering Estate is an amazing piece of property started by Charles. It is quiet and peaceful and if you go now you may get to see Manatees, the people who work there are super nice and we happened to get luck and meet their amazing collection of reptiles thanks to Elias/Elijah/Isias not sure how to spell his name. Unfortunately the stone house is under renovation but don’t let that stop you from visiting. There is all sorts of wildlife and just tons to do. I believe a Ruth was at the ticket booth and she gave us great recommendations. Please go to this beautiful estate. Learn about the amazing Charles Deering, those that have maintained his dream, and about some history.
G S — Google review
I chose to go see the Deering Estate on the weekend right before it closed. It was a spontaneous trip as I always wanted to go and found myself in the area and said why not? Therefore, there weren’t a lot of people and I was able to roam about and check out the external and internal sights and cottage museum. The wooden boardwalk in the mangrove forest is a great walk to take and it’s a little hidden. Do note the actual estate is being renovated, so there’s no access inside.
Ada — Google review
A Worthwhile Escape from the Noise of the City! As a self-proclaimed museum lover, I made the trip all the way from Miami just to spend the day at Deering Estate — and it was absolutely worth it. The property is stunning. Walking through the grand dance hall genuinely felt like stepping into a scene from Anastasia. And if you’re up for a little adventure (and not too squeamish about spiders), the nature trails are a must — peaceful, lush, and full of hidden beauty. Pro tip: Don’t make the same mistake I did — bring your own refreshments! There’s no food or water available for purchase on the estate, and after two hours in the Florida heat, you’ll definitely be wishing you had some.
Rocío S — Google review
They still charge for full tickets although the stone house is closed for renovation (will stay closed for 1 year)... better to go to David's park with better ocean views (for free) or Vizcaya museum & Garden (Way better than this estate).

Miami Seaquarium, located on Virginia Key, is a must-visit for families with kids. Since 1955, this marine complex has been captivating visitors with its diverse sea life displays and entertaining shows featuring killer whales, dolphins, manatees, penguins, sea turtles, and sharks. The 750,000-gallon saltwater aquarium is home to many of these friendly creatures. Additionally, the Seaquarium offers dolphin rides and experiences for an up-close encounter with these intelligent mammals.
The Miami Seaquarium is a classic attraction and a great place to learn about marine life and ocean conservation while enjoying fun shows and exhibits. It’s a family-friendly destination with a mix of interactive experiences, educational programs, and close-up encounters with dolphins, sea lions, and tropical fish. The layout is easy to navigate, with both indoor and outdoor exhibits that make it enjoyable year-round. Highlights include the dolphin and sea lion shows, as well as opportunities to learn more about manatees, turtles, and other marine animals. There are also options for interactive experiences, like swimming with dolphins, which make the visit even more memorable. The park offers plenty of shaded areas, food stands, and seating, which is convenient for families with kids. It’s also close to downtown Miami, making it an easy addition to any travel itinerary.
Viral J — Google review
I attended the very last show before the Seaquarium shuts down, and honestly — it was heartbreaking. While the structure may look a bit run down, what truly stood out to me was the incredible connection between the staff and the animals. You can see the genuine love, care, and bond they share. The animals looked happy, healthy, and so well cared for. Many of these animals have been rescued and could never survive in the wild, so this place has been their home and safe haven. Seeing it close is deeply sad — Miami just won’t be the same without this historic staple that has brought joy, education, and unforgettable memories to so many families. Thank you to the amazing staff for your dedication, compassion, and the love you’ve shown these beautiful creatures every single day. 💙🐬

Went on a Tuesday and I have to say it was not crowded at all. But also there wasn’t much to do and not many animals at all. I wouldn’t even consider this an aquarium. When you hear aquarium you think you would see fish tanks lot of marine life but no. Definitely not worth it
Elizabeth O — Google review
This place was not busy at all. I appreciated the staff and all the knowledge they had to share about the animals that are there, any questions we had they had an answer. I will say the place seems slightly run down and could maybe use some renovations. There also were not as many animals as I was expecting you could say but the shows they had were really nice. It was so cool to see how the sea lions and Dolphins were so well behaved and trained. You could truly see the relationships the trainers had with them and that alone was a beautiful thing to see. Me and my family purchased our tickets on Groupon so it was $23.99 for each person which isn’t too bad for something to do.
Brittney M — Google review
It was a decent visit overall. The place is nice and well-kept, but a few sections were closed, which made it feel a bit limited. The shows we did catch were fun, and it seems like something kids would especially enjoy.
Rainy T — Google review
Wonderful experience in an iconic 70 year-old Miami landmark. Brought back memories from my childhood. The shows were great even though tomorrow will be the last day for them operating as the Seaquarium. Too bad one of the big companies didn’t buy them out and keep the aquarium as a research facility for the aquatic life here in South Florida.
Jesus C — Google review
It is a shame that they closed!! I met my next wife here for our first date, and I was lucky enough to come back one day before closing.. I think if it had been updated a little while ago, maybe it would have made it? But either way, we will always remember it fondly, and have happy memories of this place!

Nestled in the heart of Coral Gables, the Coral Gables Art Cinema is a delightful haven for film enthusiasts seeking something beyond mainstream cinema. This charming boutique theater, which opened its doors in 2010, boasts a cozy seating capacity of 141 and features an impressive 28x12 screen equipped with cutting-edge 4K digital projection as well as traditional reel-to-reel capabilities.
A rarity in this city (I mean Miami). A quaint, personable, lovely place that serves great movies and exudes charm.

My favorite theater ever! ran and curated by a team of people who are truly passionate in the art of film/cinema. occasionally they'll have actual directors at their screening for a q&a. the community is amazing and being in a room with fellow film lovers is so amazing. right across from books & books too so after your movie you can head over and check out some books or even a live performance!! one of my favorite spots.

Been here for a few special screenings. Definitely appreciate the choices in films like Police Story or the Cowboy Bebop movie. Last night we went to see my favorite film Godzilla (1954) ironically on my birthday. Made it a very special night for me. Love this theater.

Terrific local cinema devoted to bringing major releases as well as independent and art films to the neighborhood. The prices are not high but they're even more favorable if you get a membership. The sound system's great and both the digital and 35 mm projectors are in great shape. But It's not a large theater, so if you're coming for a popular Wes Anderson film, you might want to be 10 minutes early. The lobby snack bar has so many options, you'll never be able to try them all. I'm confident that there's nowhere else you could get a glass of wine and a bag of popcorn as cheaply. Thanks to John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the cinema will be upgrading soon to take over the patio furniture shop next door and add another screen.

Miami Swim With Dolphin Tours offers an unforgettable experience of swimming with friendly bottlenose dolphins in various locations such as Blue Lagoon Island, Dolphin Cay, Sanctuary Bay, and Wildquest on Bimini Islands. Visitors can enjoy interacting with the dolphins as they play, show off their skills, dance, race, and even share affectionate kisses. The tours also provide opportunities to witness dolphin shows and learn about their rescue efforts.
The Dolphin Encounter was an absolutely wonderful experience! The trainers were warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, making us feel comfortable from the very start. The front desk staff and the team in the photo area were equally kind and helpful, ensuring the entire visit ran smoothly. I wasn’t sure what to expect, so I chose the Dolphin Encounter for my family and it turned out to be the perfect choice! My 11-year-old said it was the most amazing experience and the best ending to his summer. I even got major “cool points” from him, so a huge thank-you to everyone who made this day so memorable for us. We’ll definitely be coming back for the Dolphin Swim next time! P.S. Outside the dolphin area, don’t forget to bring bug spray it’s a lifesaver!

I surprised my boyfriend with swimming with the dolphin. I was very excited and was kinda let down. Didn't seem like the crew new what to do except one gal and she said she has been there about 2 years. Once she was there things went better. This is something we will never forget, a once in a lifetime experience. We did expect the swim part would be a little longer. Overall great time!!
Nikki S — Google review
I am giving this 4 stars because the trainer Erika was absolutely unbelievable as we’re all of the employees we encountered during the day. Also because I have had to remind myself this day was all about enjoying these beautiful creatures which I’m sure is not predictable moment to moment. I will also say the booking experience was extremely pleasant and they were SO helpful! I do however have some suggestions around managing expectations of visitors and timing. Areas that could improve: We drove 2.5 hours for an 11:00 Dolphin Encounter with three kids 10, 7 and 5. Check in was listed at 10:45 and they asked us to come back for an 11:00 swim. We rushed in for 10:45 and then came back at 11:00 but no one else checked in u til after 11:00. We waited until about 11:20 before anyone let us in. Then we went through an explanation of everything but at times it was difficult to hear the nice person explaining everything. Erika walked around and introduced herself to all of us. We paid for 2 on the Odessey package and Erika made sure our family stayed together. The manager was having a meeting with the trainers so we were not called to go in the water until some time after 12. An hour plus was a long time to be waiting around for adults nevermind three littles ones. Once we were in the water Erika was amazing and the kids were so happy. The other thing I would never do again is pay for the odyssey. For 100 extra dollars 2 of us held the dolphins fin for a quick 3 second or so swim. It was amazing but not worth 100 dollars in my opinion. Erika made sure to make my niece and another woman celebrating her birthday feel EXTRA special! Overall I thought the staff was amazing and the park which was extremely outdated was fine for younger kids, I’d just suggest that they manage expectations a little better around the waiting around or unpredictability of the scheduling. By the time we finished at 12:50 our plans for afternoon had to change quite a bit. Again, recognizing now it’s about the Dolphins I understand I shouldn’t have gone into the day rigid at all about times and schedules. Also just be prepared to spend 100-400 dollars on photos they take with so so quality. I should note they seem to treat the dolphins great which is probably the most important thing! Thank you Erika and staff for a nice day!

My family took our 80 year old Mother for her birthday because she wanted a Dolphin encounter. It was longer, more thorough and engaging than I ever expected it would be.
Tamara J — Google review
I thoroughly enjoyed the dolphin experience. It was expensive and controlled, but very interactive. At previous experiences with interaction like this they allowed you to keep your towels and wet suit, but they do not allow you to here. I thought for the price and sanitation reasons they should. You got to pet the dolphin on his belly and back. They told us where not to touch for safety reasons. We held on to the dolphins fin and it swam us to the opposite side of the pool. They also taught us some commands and informed us about the dolphin. As you can see we did they did multiple poses with the dolphin. Its definitely a once in a life time thing. Meaning Its worth doing once, bur not multiple times. The pictures are only worth it if your entire group buys their package. If not they are ridiculously priced. The picture website sucks, as well.

Attending the Miami Seaquarium Top Deck Dolphin Show was a disappointing experience for me. The dolphins appeared sad and malnourished, lacking the vitality I expected. The tricks and jumps were underwhelming compared to other parks like SeaWorld. Additionally, the uncomfortable seating made me feel unsafe, forcing me to stand for most of the show. Overall, it didn't meet my expectations for an enjoyable and worthwhile outing, leaving me questioning the ethics of keeping marine mammals for entertainment.

Phillips Park, located in the outskirts of Miami, is a favorite recreational spot in Coral Gables. The park is set to undergo a major renovation with an allocation of $9.5 million for various upgrades and additions. These include expanding the playground area with new equipment, renovating the bathroom building, adding a splash pad water playground, and revamping the basketball and tennis courts.
Playing basketball at Phillips Park is an awesome experience from start to finish. The park itself is spacious, clean, and full of energy, and the basketball courts are in great condition — perfect for a casual shootaround or a full competitive game. One of the best parts about playing here is the welcoming community vibe. Whether you’re coming with friends or showing up solo, you’ll usually find others around who are friendly and happy to join in for a pickup game. There’s a good mix of skill levels, so it feels inclusive and fun without being overly competitive. The surroundings are also a big plus. The park is surrounded by open green space and trees, so while you’re playing, you also get to enjoy some fresh air and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s a great way to stay active and clear your mind. Whether you’re a local or just visiting the area, Phillips Park is definitely worth checking out if you love basketball. The combination of a great court, solid community, and beautiful setting makes it a top-tier spot to play. I’ve had some amazing games here, and I always leave feeling energized. Can’t wait to go back!

I can believe that the tennis court is still in this condition. This place is one of the few spots in the area to play tennis and the city has totally neglected it. The net is too deteriorated and there is not enough light since the trees are not properly trimmed. It's a shame for "The city of Beautiful"

Nice little family friendly park in the heart of Coral Gables with 2 big tennis courts of which we played in one. School is next door so it gets very busy and loud with kids coming out of school if you happen to get there weekday afternoons.
May P — Google review
We just sat and enjoyed the delicious chicken smell from Publix next door. It was a relaxing time!

The famous coral gables park In need of some renovations. Dirty and old.
Pedro P — Google review
The park is great but the security are really unfair with the tennis courts
Pablo P — Google review
The park is under reconstruction since November 3, don’t go for now.
Carnage P — Google review
