Bakery
Zak the Baker is a well-known, laid-back cafe with a hip vibe that specializes in gourmet house-baked goods and light fare. The cafe offers incredible French pastries and an amazing atmosphere. It's located at 295/405 NW 26th St. Additionally, the restaurant uses products from neighboring businesses like Zak the Baker and Panther Coffee.
On street, metered parking BUT they will ticket within seconds so do pay! We saw the writing lots of tickets. On the sunny side - Absolutely loved our visit to Zack the Baker! The Nutella croissant was one of the most delicious I’ve ever had—perfectly flaky with just the right amount of sweetness. We also enjoyed their French toast on our second visit but it is enough for two or three people to share. The staff was friendly and helpful, even finding us a seat inside when it was busy. Coffee refills are available on request, which was a nice bonus. We also appreciated the clean bathroom and reasonable prices, especially for a spot in a larger city. Note: They’re closed on Saturdays, so plan accordingly. If you stop by on a Friday, don’t miss their freshly baked Challah loaves—they looked incredible! We purchased the cranberry country loaf but regret not buying the Challah. Will definitely buy it next time., Highly recommend for a warm, satisfying start to your day.

I'm stupid glad we slid thru this spot for breakfast. We were there on a Friday morning, so it wasn't crazy crowded, but I can easily see how it would be. The layout is nice and open, where you can see the bakers baking from your table. There's also a nice coffee/takeout counter up front. Our server was very attentive, and as I always appreciate, she made us feel at home. The menu isn't crazy extensive, and that made ordering a lot easier. I went right for the French toast. Just a couple thick slices of fresh-baked bread brought together into one big ol' slab of decadence. I'm gonna describe it just like it's written on the menu, "Brioche dipped in Vanilla Bean Custard, layered with Florida Pecan Butter, Crème Anglaise, Blueberry Coulis, Whipped Cream & ZTB Farmhouse Lemon Thyme", yeah, all that and then some. It was so deliciously rich I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. We also had the Egg Platter with two eggs, crazy crispy delicious smashed potatoes, labneh, pickled onions on top of fresh avocado, marinated olives, and spelt sourdough. That was fresh and impressive as well. I had the hibiscus lemonade, and it was worth the words I've heard describing it, "Awesome and alone worth the visit". All in all, I was very pleased with this spot and would recommend visiting. If I lived around there, it would easily become one of my morning treats. Oh yes, the restrooms were very clean and well-equipped.There are two individual rooms (is that the right word?).

My husband and I ordered breakfast — one egg platter and one avocado toast. The taste and quality were great, but the bread portion was disappointingly small, especially for a bakery. This was particularly surprising with the egg platter, where the bread came as two tiny strips alongside the labneh — not even equal to a single slice. The bigger issue, however, was the service — slow, inattentive, and unfriendly. Aside from the hostess, no one seemed interested in engaging with us. It took a while for someone to take our order, even longer for the food to arrive, and no one checked on us afterward. When we finally managed to get someone’s attention for the check, it was handed over without a word, barely any eye contact, and certainly no thank you or goodbye. Perhaps the mandatory 18% service charge has something to do with it — if the tip is guaranteed, there seems to be no motivation to provide decent service. Overall, while we really like this place for its baked goods, we won’t be returning for dine-in. It seems better suited for grab-and-go, or for picking up their bread at Whole Foods.

Incredible bakery in the Wynnwood area of Miami. I have been looking forward to going to this bakery for a while based upon it’s reviews, and the food is amazing. Large on-site bakery produces some unique items and fresh bread. I had an almond croissant that was very good. Highly recommended.
David F — Google review
Excellent food and service. Nova bagel and egg platter were 10/10. Very crowded but worth the wait for a table. The service was fast once we sat down. We would return again.

I have heard so many good things about Zak The Baker over the years but after trying Zak The Baker for the first time, I honestly don’t see what the hype was about. I’ll go into more details below: I went to Zak The Baker for a weekday lunch and was seated with minimal wait. It took a few minutes for a server to greet me and the service was overall pretty cold. The restaurant has a mandatory 18% service charge and the staff didn’t seem to care about providing good service because the gratuity was already tacked on to the bill. I ordered a Cold Brew Coffee ($5.50) to start. The coffee was good and locally brewed in Miami. The server advised they only have Whole, Almond, and Oat milk for creamer, pretty limited in my opinion for the cost of the coffee. For food, I loved the variety of fresh and locally grown items. I wanted to get the Caesar Salad but add a protein, and the server advised they can’t add proteins to the salad because “they are a fully Kosher kitchen and restaurant” and he seemed to get an attitude about it. The restaurant doesn’t advertise themselves as being a fully Kosher restaurant or I would have never come here as I don’t have a need to pay a premium to dine at a fully Kosher restaurant. The server advised the only protein they could provide was Salmon and it would be prepared on a separate plate. So I opted on spending less and getting the Tomato Bisque and Grilled Cheese ($15). The tomato bisque was really good, the sandwich was average and the servers completely disappeared after my food arrived and I left as soon as I flagged someone down for my check. My stomach was messed up later in the day after my meal so I’m not really sure about their food preparation at the restaurant and won’t go back.

The great thing about Zak the Baker is how they keep prices low while still using high quality ingredients they even harvest from their own farm! Extremely affordable which is amazing for Miami, especially in Wynwood. I had a sandwich for $12, honestly…you can’t beat that. The servers knew what they were talking about, super knowledgeable ,made the whole experience really smooth & welcoming. The space is bright, cozy, and it’s the kind of place that reminds you why simple, honest food can feel special. My experience was nothing short of exceptional . The best part was taking home a box of pastries to share with my family, you can really taste how fresh they are . Definitely a Miami gem .
Denis S — Google review
The display case was filled with the most beautiful, masterfully made pastries. We were tempted by them all but settled on a bagel since we were visiting—if we lived here, we would have gotten a loaf for the week! What we got: - Nova Bagel 3.5/5. one of the better meals I had in Miami! The pickled onion was a colorful touch. The bagel itself was ok. - Frisee Salad 4/5. in dire need of veggies on the trip. hit the spot with its freshness. I liked the amount of dressing it came with but my partner felt it was too drenched and overwhelming. I’m sure if we got other pastries, they would have been fantastic! We arrived at 11:30am on a Monday in June and had no wait! After we arrived, the place was quite busy with people coming in. The staff was polite and they said that a few people cover an area so they support each other. The glass, open kitchen was gorgeous and fun to watch the busy staff prepping for the next day’s baked goods.

Bachour is a bakery and cafe founded by the talented pastry chef Antonio Bachour. After parting ways with B Bistro + Bakery, he opened two solo spots in Coral Gables and Little Haiti. The flagship location in Coral Gables offers an array of colorful desserts, including croissants, tarts, mousses, and bonbons. In addition to sweets, the cafe serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch featuring popular items like tartines and guava pastelito pancakes.
Delicious food and pastries at Bachour Coral Gables! Everything was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Our server Tania was so sweet and attentive, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend!
Amisaday M — Google review
The guava pancakes were amazing, great texture and taste. Exactly what I wanted when I saw them and imagined them, the service is great. Mario was very helpful and explained the portion sizes well, very friendly and attentive to all requests. The space is minimalist and warehouse-reminiscent, large and grey but showcase the pastries and artwork well. My party liked the food and coffee they ordered but I found my coffee a little weak for my tastes, overall excellent place. Would like to go again given the opportunity.

From the beginning to the end, BACHOUR won't stop to amaze you. The decor was beyond stellar. Our server Tania R. was very knowledgeable of their menu. She helped us to decide for our brunch. The "GUAVA PANCAKES" were fluffy. They had guava in between the layers, and on top, the guava paste with their own churned butter was great. The "AREPA FRITTERS"!!! this was a great surprise with cheese inside. Their "STRAWBERRY AND MASCARPONE CROISSANT" was so good, we promised ourselves to come back to try ALL OF THEM. Flaky and filled to perfection. We couldn't dare to leave without trying one of their amazing desserts creations. We had "THE ROSE" with an Strawberry jelly, pistachio, panna cottage, and an incredible almond cake, all inside this work of art. If you want to treat your senses and palate to a retreat of great flavors, go to BACHOUR.

We came here for breakfast and every bite was pure joy. The Crab Benedict was absolute perfection — soft-boiled eggs, fresh crab, silky hollandaise and roasted potatoes on the side — it was beautifully balanced. The Tuna Salad Sandwich was simple but flawless: crispy baguette, fresh tuna, arugula — light and satisfying. And of course… the pastries. Truly world-class. We tried a few signature desserts — and each one was a masterpiece, both visually and taste-wise. You can feel the chef’s artistry in every detail. This place absolutely lives up to the Michelin recognition. Friendly staff, fast service, and phenomenal food. Worth every mile we drove. Will definitely come back!

This is hands down the best restaurant I’ve loved in the U.S. Every visit has been a consistently wonderful experience. The cappuccino and matcha latte are always made to perfection—rich, smooth, and beautifully crafted. Their croissants are flawless, with that perfect balance of crisp exterior and soft, buttery interior. The desserts are both stunning and delicious, showcasing real attention to flavor and presentation. Their dinner items are also excellent, offering great variety and flavor without being overly complicated. And to top it off, the prices are surprisingly affordable, making it an incredible value for the quality you get. The staff are always joyful, attentive, and detail-oriented, with an impressive memory that makes you feel remembered and appreciated. It’s rare to find a place that’s this consistent, warm, and delicious every time. An absolute favorite!

I come here every time I visit Miami, reliably good pastry/breakfast shop. The waiters are always so nice too. It’s quiet with a lot of seating available, we enjoyed our brunch here. It’s slightly pricier than regular bakery but is worth every penny.

I have fond memories of Bachour, as I used to live nearby. I’ve visited several times, and each experience was truly enjoyable, especially because of their delightful pastries! From my very first visit, I’ve always felt satisfied. While the service has occasionally been a bit slow, it hasn't bothered me since I usually take my time. I really appreciate the outdoor ambiance; it makes for a lovely atmosphere.

It's 4 hours from where I live, but I still make it a few times a year. It's that good! Any time I have a layover at MIA for an international flight, I stop and get a box of viennoiserie to take with me. Love Antonio and his team! I did baking and pastry for several years, and this place knows how to do it right.

Bakery
Breakfast restaurant
Madruga Bakery is a neighborhood bakery located in South Miami, known for its artisan bread, rustic pastries, breakfast, lunch, and coffee. The owner, Naomi Harris, mills organic whole grains into flour daily to create exceptional baked goods. Despite the morning rush, the service remains efficient and friendly. Their croissants stand out due to their smaller and closer webbing inside.
Madruga bakery was a pleasant surprise. We went to meet friends there on a Saturday morning for brunch, had to wait in line a bit to get our order in and snag a table outside. Turnover is pretty fast though so this was not an issue. They have an amazing bread selection, lovely egg sandwiches, croissants, salmon baguette creations, amazing coffees, and lots of sweets to take home for later. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend!
Dr. G — Google review
My favorite bakery in Miami 🌾 bakes fresh, real bread and pastries that taste exceptional, very similar to those in Europe. I highly recommend the baguette, the fruit and nut bread, and the croissants. They are delicious!
Foix — Google review
Went to get breakfast here this morning and it was great. The line was long but it moved fast. I got an egg sandwich and it was amazing. So much flavor and the right amount of everything. The bread was also perfect and so delicious. It was so light and everything stayed in the sandwich and didn’t fall out. Highly recommend.
Amanda H — Google review
Right so…..I’m a complicated guy that likes simple things…today I was blessed. My friend recommended this place because I was close by and wanted a bite. She said the egg sandwich was great and that it’s a great spot. I believed her. I came in to a line that went out the door a touch. A gentleman was holding the door open for those waiting, I later found out his name is Larry. He asked me how I was doing with real interest, and we chatted for a second. He recommended the chori pan on special, although after telling him it’s my first time - he agreed that the egg sandwich was a great thing to try first. I ordered a cortado and a chocolate cookie as well. Leisa helped me order and she is a lovely joy to order from. The food came out quick as did the coffee. I sat down and spilled my coffee while putting sugar. They helped me clean it and brought me a new one without even asking… The sandwich was exquisite. Bacon was kind of caramelized, so it had a nice bite and thickness. The egg immediately bursted, providing for a nice dip. Complete perfect sandwich. They got water on tap as well for the guests. It’s cold and that was a nice touch. As for the flourless chocolate cookie…perfect once again. This might be the most detailed review I’ve written, as the experience has required it of me. Initially I was apprehensive to spend the money, as it was $23 including tip for all this. But…I knew that you get what you pay for, and now I’m ready to do some good work and continue to have a powerful day… So thank you to the team. Especially the staff that helped clean my mess. I had a great time and had to write the review while sitting here enjoying. Cheers..until next time! Chris H.

We stopped by for a morning treat and were blown away by the quality of everything we tried. The chocolate croissant was perfectly flaky with a generous, rich chocolate center – one of the best I’ve had outside of Europe. Their scones are buttery, slightly crisp on the outside, and just sweet enough. You can tell they’re made fresh, with care. The avocado toast was another standout – fresh, creamy avocado on thick-cut, house-baked bread, finished with just the right seasoning and toppings. Simple but elevated. The vibe is warm and inviting, with the smell of fresh bread in the air and a calm, neighborhood feel. Great spot for breakfast, brunch, or a quiet coffee break. A must-visit if you’re in the area. Pro tip: Go early — popular items sell out fast!
Sid — Google review
Madruga Bakery is an absolute gem! They serve one of the best sourdough breads I’ve ever tasted - perfectly tangy and wonderfully crusty. The Basque cheesecake is another standout, always hitting the spot with its rich, creamy texture and perfect balance of flavors. But the real star for me is their matcha - buttery, creamy, and smooth with that umami taste, but not too bitter. It’s just the right balance, with the true flavor of matcha coming through without needing any sweetener. I also tried their iced vanilla latte, and it was hands down the best I’ve had! You really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu; everything is crafted to perfection. From the sourdough to the Basque cheesecake, each bite is a treat. Highly recommend!

Loved loved this cafe. Baked good where delicious. We got the almond croissant, blueberry muffin and a slice of peach pie to go. We loved it. Cappuccino took me back to Italy and the egg sandwich is a must have. Unfortunately seating is difficult because it is a small space but you can pre order and it makes it a bit easier. Great problem to have. ☕️🥐

Breakfast restaurant
B Bistro + Bakery is a modern eatery located in Brickell, known for its delectable pastries and signature desserts. The menu features a variety of treats such as mini lemon meringue tarts, Nutella croissants, amaretti cookies, and cream-filled cruffins. Their strawberry goat cheese croissant and fruity Passionata are highly recommended, while chocolate lovers can indulge in the rich Merlat.
Lovely decor, clean and good service. Nice people, very welcoming. Coffee is good, and pastries are amazing. We got the flat white, Americano and a Nutella croissant. Morning traffic not too loud. Music is good.

One of the best brunch places in brickell. Chilaquiles was an underrated but top notch dish. They ran out of the croissants so will be back to try those. Service was mid - fast in the beginning but then slowed down. They got dog water bowls for a pet friendly outdoor seating which is always a plus in the hot Miami days. Sake mojito was super refreshing. Definitely recommend this place overall. No reservations but call ahead for seating and wait time
Shreyas G — Google review
Excellent service! This place had very good chilaquiles and pastries. Must go if you are in the area. Cold brew lemonade was very good too.
Norman W — Google review
I had the brunch with my friends here but I haven’t heard from the staff to ask how do I like the food so I have to wrote it here. The matcha tastes like it’s diluted, I could not taste the strong flavour Matcha should have. For the Salmon burger, the upper brioche was not fried and had not enough sauce on it. The minced salmon burger contained even some fish bones inside which was so dangerous and not professional. The environment couldn’t be called decent for the heavy smoke from the open kitchen. I feel sad that I was waiting for the waiter to ask about my feelings about the food but they didn’t come to me. My friend told me the brunch in America was like this basically, I feel bad about it because the brunch I had in Europe was all better than this not cheap one.

Visiting for a conference and had an unexpectedly good breakfast highlighted with smoked salmon scramble, excellent coffee and attentive service. Relatively pricey though on par with other Miami eateries.

Cute spot! We ordered the iced cappuccino with caramel, the pancakes, chilaquiles, truffle bun and a chocolate croissant. We’re pleasantly surprised how good everything was! Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop is a popular bakery and cafe located in the Wynwood Art District neighborhood of Miami. The shop, founded by former firefighter turned professional baker Derek Kaplan, specializes in delicious pies, cheesecakes, cookies, and milkshakes. What started as a food truck has now become a well-known brick-and-mortar establishment offering world-famous desserts.
🎉Ok Fireman Dereks 🫶🏽 I've only had positive experiences at the location in Wynwood. Its always clean, usually little to no line or wait time. People are friendly and patient. I actually like this location in terms of friendlyness more than the coconut grove one. I usually stick to the cheesecakes and I can recommend trying them all. But my favorite were the original, Cookie monster, and cookies and cream. The cookies are also good but the cheesecake is better.
Ali — Google review
As a former donut shop owner and now a consultant for dessert businesses, I can confidently say Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop in Wynwood is a masterclass in dessert excellence! This place is a must-visit gem in the heart of Miami’s vibrant arts district. From the moment I stepped in, the bright, cozy vibe and the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked goods had me hooked. The colorful murals and bustling energy perfectly match Wynwood’s creative spirit, making it an ideal spot to refuel after exploring the neighborhood. The menu is a showcase of bold flavors and meticulous craftsmanship. I started with their legendary Key Lime Pie, which lives up to its Miami New Times “Best Key Lime Pie” title—perfectly tart, creamy, and balanced with a flaky graham cracker crust that’s clearly made with love. The Salty Monkey Pie was a revelation, blending chocolate, peanut butter, banana, and pretzel in a way that’s indulgent yet harmonious—pure genius! I also grabbed a Guava & White Chocolate Cookie, and let me tell you, the sweet-tart guava drizzle paired with the rich cookie base is a game-changer. As someone who teaches others how to create standout glazes, I was blown away by their in-house artistry. The staff is phenomenal—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their craft. Jada, one of the servers, made my visit extra special with her spot-on recommendations and warm energy. It’s clear they’ve been trained well, which I appreciate as someone who coaches businesses on employee systems. The bakery’s commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients shines through in every bite, and the fact that everything is baked in-house daily speaks to their dedication to quality. I also love how Fireman Derek’s has built a community vibe, from their 10-year anniversary mural supporting local artists to their creative specials like the chocolate-dipped key lime pie on a stick. As a consultant, I admire how Derek Kaplan turned his firefighting passion into a thriving brand that’s become a Miami staple. The prices reflect the premium quality (e.g., $8-$13 per slice), but trust me, every penny is worth it for these massive, flavor-packed portions. Whether you’re a dessert aficionado or just craving a sweet escape, Fireman Derek’s is a Wynwood must. I’m already planning my next visit to try the Cookie Monster Pie and maybe a savory quiche for balance. This place sets the bar high for bakeries everywhere—don’t miss it
JOE T — Google review
Every time I’m in Wynwood, I have to stop here and get their pecan pie. It is the best pecan pie I’ve had as it’s not overly sweet. Their salted caramel pie is also delicious but I forgot to take a picture of that. The service is always excellent and the ambience is very cheerful with its colorful decorations. I will always be returning here whenever I’m craving something sweet.

Super Friendly Service. Staff knowledgeable on the delicious desserts. Cookie Monster Pie was amazing. Definitely will be back to try additional items. All the desserts looks delicious.

I visited the Wynwood location after dinner to grab a pie slice before heading home. The attached pictures is exactly what I was served and no, I had not taken a bite out of it yet. I was basically served all whip cream. Especially for being called the “cookie monster”, this order was completely lacking. The quality of Firemen Derek’s has gone down since I first started going.
Natalie M — Google review
Fireman, Derek, your cakes used to be so soft so moist so delicious like I used to anticipate waiting to eat just that first bite I could remember. My mouth used to be so watery I used to feel so alive with every piece of cake or pie but lately I don't even know what to say. i'm eating cornbread and cornbread. I should put that in there too cardboard is that the word because when I put my fork through the K it crumbles apart nothing stuck together. Nothing is fresh. Nothing is wholesome. Nothing is fluffy. Nothing is soft. Nothing is soft melting in my mouth my mouth is not watery. i'm so disgusted and so disappointed that you guys have allowed your brand your standards. The taste the value to diminish it by not giving people fresh food when I say I used to order from you guys like every other day every week and to just ordered this last confetti cake, birthday cake or whatever cake you wanna call it with the sprinkles it was horrible man. Yeah yeah I gotta get it together. Get it together. Give people what they pay for this is not free when I'm picking up free food from you guys we're paying for fresh food. I mean I would only expect something fresh when you go to a restaurant when you sit down to eat that they're giving you something fresh. Please do better. Keep it FRESH everyday‼️

I have been a loyal customer of FIREMAN DEREK’s since the store opened. I have enjoyed many of your baked products , including crackpies, guava cookies, and Oreo cheesecake pies. However, my experience at the WYNWOOD store today has left me deeply disappointed and motivated to never return. The lack of respect and civility displayed by your manager was truly unacceptable. I arrived at the store and ordered a few items, including a slice of “CRACKPIE”. I took a bite while and immediately realized that the pie was stale and frozen. I explained to the manager that the pie was not fresh and didn’t taste right. Her response was dismissive and arrogant. She claimed that they didn’t get fresh pies because they were delivered twice or three times a week and that they had three stores, so they couldn’t possibly have fresh pies every day. This attitude was unnecessary , especially for a simple question. It doesn’t even make sense: since FIreman Derek’s have 3 stores, shouldn’t they be able to deliver fresh products ? you have Specially I had paid for a fresh piece of pie, and I didn’t expect to be served something frozen and unappetizing. If the pies are not FRESH, please put up signs !!! It’s only fair with the customer to know they are not paying for fresh pie. When I asked what I could do about the situation, I offered to get another product to substitute. After she cut the slice, to my shock, she asked me to pay for it. As a side note, the full pie I had purchased and paid for was already in the trash. She asked me if I was going to eat it, and I said no, so she put it in the trash bin. She insisted that she couldn’t give me “free food,” but the point is that it wasn’t free. I had paid for something and didn’t get what I paid for. Any decent business would try to make a customer happy, especially a loyal one. This manager turned her back on me the moment I asked for her name and went to the back of the store, never to return. I want to make it clear that during all this time, I spoke to everyone in a respectful tone and didn’t make a scene or yell at anyone. I simply expected the situation to be resolved in a civilized manner. This is not about a bad experience, a bad slice of pie, or even about the $10 I wasted in the trash. This is about a business’s respect for its customers. I left your store feeling frustrated and completely disrespected. If you don’t want to run out of business maybe you should be more concerned with keeping customers, perhaps you should be more cautious about who you hire as a manager and make decisions on your behalf. I don’t have the name of this manager because she didn’t provide it. Three unhelpful and arrogant workers were involved in this situation. No one offered any assistance. They all kept pointing to the policy signs, as if I were trying to “scheme the system.” All I wanted was a fresh slice of pie and to go home happily.

If you're in the mood for some delicious baked goods, then head over to Flour & Weirdoughs on Key Biscayne. This quirky bakery is known for its incredible croissants, cookies, and other breads that are so good, you'll never think of eating carbs again. Though it can be a little bit of a wait in line, it's totally worth it!
If you’re in Miami, a stop at Flour and Weird Dough in Key Biscayne is an absolute must. Their country bread, made with natural fermentation, has the perfect balance of a crisp crust and airy crumb, while their croissant rivals the best in Paris with its delicate, buttery layers. But the magic doesn’t stop there—their brunch menu is one of the best in town. From the rich and flavorful eggs a la huancaína to the perfectly spiced Turkish eggs and fluffy blueberry pancakes, every bite is unforgettable. The Jess sandwich, served on the softest brioche, is another must-try. And whatever you do, don’t leave without trying their chagaccino—it’s truly unbeatable. Don’t walk—run to Flour and Weird Dough; you won’t regret it!

Brioche bun, prosciutto, fluffy egg, mozzarella. Arugula. Out of this world. Thanks Charlie for the friendly service and obviously the best breakfast! See you again someone here on Key Biscayne

I don’t know how long this bakery has been open because there is still a menu posted on their door about pizza but there is no atmosphere in the dining area. It is bland and cold but we did take out and sat on a bench outside a bathroom anyway because all tables were full. The other seating option is bar seating. As for the food. It was exceptionally good. We had the ABC (almond, banana, and chocolate) croissant which was amazing. We also had a croissant with egg and fillings in it that was delicious. It was not like a croissantwich, it was more like a frittata of sorts but with the croissant as the dough. We were hoping to get a horchata matcha we read about but apparently that was last months special. I asked about this months special and there was none. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have cream for coffee. I think it is a staple for a place that sells coffee but definitely a Miami thing with so many people used to milk/mylks in their coffee. If you are visiting, know that there is a toll to go into the island that this place is on but the views will be worth it.

Omg!!! This is the best egg sandwich in Miami!! Garantee!!! And the house fries are addicting.. delicious. ... the orange juice is 100% natural. Our friends recommended this place following our south Florida Ruck Club meet up and it was phenomenal! We were sooo hungry we didn’t remember to take pics before eating so will definitely be back and order the same to capture the Shakshuka and the customized Avocado Toast that includes smoked salmon and pickled beets (recommendation from Juan our server). We finished off with an Almond Croissant. Mmm mm mm!

Bunnie Cakes is a vibrant bakery that specializes in vegan and gluten-free treats, including cupcakes, cookies, cakes, and donuts. The owner, Mariana Cortez, was inspired to create the bakery when she struggled to find a vegan birthday cake for her dairy-allergic son. The bakery offers custom-order cakes and Cuban-inspired flavors like passion fruit and guava.
My my my. I always love finding a sweet vegan spot. The perfect way to describe this place is CUTE. From the pink glittery bathroom floors to the sweet treats themselves, it's an immersive experience. The cupcakes speak for themselves. They have a wide variety of vegan and gluten-free flavors and they are scrumptious. We got a box of 6 cupcakes and they were gone before we finished the day. The key lime was perfectly soft and airy, especially the Buttercream. The vegan cheesy balls were yummy also. Definitely returning, plus it's a nice area and there is a big parking lot right next door to park for free.

The decoration of this bakery is stunning!! Full of details and very colorful! They even have a space just to take pictures. In terms of the bakery items, their target is more vegan and gluten free customers. I am not vegan nor gluten free so personally, the taste was average for me. Not too much flavor. The presentation of the items and decoration is very nice.

This cute little spot is very nice. The cupcakes are mostly vegan and taste amazing! They have also one bite sized cakes which are very delicious too. Their guava cupcakes? A must. I found them to be a bit expensive but with good quality comes a steeper price. Definitely recommend

Very very cute place!! Gluten free and so tasty this cupcakes. Prices are high but you should not compare them with regular cupcake places because these are vegan and gluten free. Located in downtown Doral that I love and parking is free. They have a couple of tables outside for your convenience.

I was so happy to visit Downtown Doral and see Bunnie Cakes. I’ve followed this baker for a few years when my daughter needed gluten free. It brought me joy to see the growth she’s made and the yummy treats all looking amazing. Made sure to get some to bring home can’t wait to visit again….much success and hoping you expand to Broward soon.

Loved this place! The people were so nice. When I told the woman behind the counter that we were from Chicago, and had then driven from Fort Lauderdale to come to the bakery, she was very excited and immediately handed us a cupcake to try. ☺️ My daughter is vegan so she had been dying to visit. It was definitely worth the trip! I'm not vegan and tend to be skeptical about the taste of vegan baked goods. We got a container of assorted mini cupcakes. Everything we tried was fantastic! The Taste was great, cupcakes were moist, and had the perfect consistency. Loved it!

Please save your time and money! I was super excited for the cake; thus, this event was so important to me that I ordered it with a week in advanced. I was constantly emailing Jamie to make sure everything was fine for that day. It was for a graduation and it is so disappointing that even the guests saw the cake and said, “I hope you didn’t pay more the $40 for this cake.” Honestly, I paid $120 to have a cake look rushed, broken and uneven. They asked me to take the cake back, when it was their responsibility to deliver a cake to their highest standards as they advertised and guarantee their customers. If a customer is willing to pay a lot of money for a cake, please don’t sell it with the purpose to tell the customer “bring it back so we can fix the imperfections.” As to this point, I requested to speak with the office manager and no call or emails have been sent to me! Again, don’t waste your time and money. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone!

Walked in for the first time today and said to the team member, “beautiful place you have here. Today is my wedding anniversary, can you help me pick out the best cupcakes for my wife and I?” The young lady greeted with a warm smile and was very accommodating and helpful. One of the most delicious cakes I have ever had. I ordered a cake and a few days before the pick up date had an emergency. When I called to explain that I needed to push back the date they were very understanding and kind. I am so very thankful that they went above and beyond. I will definitely go back to order all my cakes there. I highly recommend Dbakers. Not only was the cake scrumptious but the employees actually care. 20/10

I’ve been a customer of this bakery for a little over three years now, and I truly love it! Their desserts are always fresh, and the service is consistently amazing. The girls who work there are always so kind and welcoming. For about four or five birthdays, between family and friends, we’ve ordered their cakes, and believe me, they never miss. The cakes are always moist, flavorful, and beautifully made. I’ve tried so many of their desserts: the passion fruit pie, Nutella cream puff, strawberry cream puff, their cookies, brownies, and recently a new one they have, the mixed berries pavlova which was absolutely incredible. If you’re looking to order a birthday cake or just treat yourself to something sweet and delicious, this is definitely the place to go!

I ordered cake for myself and my husband’s birthday. It was ready on time. My cake was red velvet which is so tasty, my husband’s cake was cookies and cream tast as well. Everyone loved both and asked where I got them. My husband’s (left) had a little accident from our side but it was looking awesome.

dbakers Miami is amazing! I’ve ordered two cakes from them recently — one for my husband’s birthday and one for my sister’s today — and both were absolutely beautiful and delicious! The designs were spot on, and the flavors were incredible. Even today when there was a mix-up and my cake wasn’t ready at the scheduled time, they immediately made it right by baking a new one that was ready within an hour and a half — and they even gave me six matching cupcakes for free! That’s real customer service. Mistakes can happen, but how they handled it showed true professionalism and care. As a business owner myself, I really value great service and happy customers — and dbakers nailed it. Highly recommend them for any special occasion! 🎂💖

Dbakers Cake never disappoints. Every bite is pure perfection! Their cakes are always incredibly fresh, moist, and beautifully designed. You can taste the quality and care they put into every detail, from the flavors to the decoration. Whether it’s a birthday, celebration, or just a sweet craving, dbakers Cake always delivers something special. I’ve tried many bakeries, but none come close to the taste, creativity, and consistency of dbakers. Their team is also super friendly and professional. They truly love what they do, and it shows. If you want a cake that wows everyone, go to dbakers Cake. The best in town, hands down! 💕🍰

The Salty Donut, a popular Miami-based donut shop, is teaming up with Portland's Salt & Straw for a special Valentine's Day collaboration. They have created a limited-time pint pack featuring five exclusive flavors that will be available for national shipping through Salt & Straw's website. The donut shop offers a top-notch selection of unique and ever-changing flavors, including options like vegan carrot cake and pumpkin brown butter.
I stopped by there one morning on my way north to try out donuts. As I travel I always stop at local shops to get donuts. I’d never had Salty Donut before. I always try a “simple” classic and one that is fancier. They have a deal where you buy 4 it is cheaper so I got a few. All were delicious. Made with fresh ingredients and melted in my mouth. The service was quick and efficient. Top notch! What surprised me most was that the cinnamon sugar donut, which is my go to at all shops, was vegan. I was skeptical at first - but it was as good as all the other regular donuts! It’s now my go to when I visit Salty!

🍩🍩🍩🍩 The Salty Donut: A Sweet Escape! If you're craving a delicious, fluffy donut that melts in your mouth, then The Salty Donut is the perfect spot. Seriously, you need to try their flavors—they're unbeatable! My personal favorites are the 3 Leches and Nutella. At $4.50, the price is fair for the quality you get. Beyond donuts, they also offer coffee, juices, and teas to complete your treat. It's definitely worth checking out!

Phenomenal donuts. You really get what you pay for. Each one tastes like a completely different dessert you would get from a sit down restaurant. Not simply a "blank" flavored donut. Most are large. The filled ones are HEAVY with filling 😋 From left to right cookies n cream, Samoa, key lime pie, Nutella, salted brown butter (my favorite), guava and cheese. One word DECADENT!

I’m a little late on writing this review but I promised myself I wouldn’t forget too. I went in like 2 weeks ago right before taking a state exam next door at Pearson view . I was tired and really sleepy. I went in like 45 minutes before my exam to have a coffee , donut and study a little more . I was greeted by John ( I hope I’m not getting his name wrong ). I told him , I needed something to wake me up . He made his recommendations and I got an ice coffee and a min keylime donut . I told him I was taking a big teaching test shortly . He was AMazing!!! He checked on me about my coffee and donut . Then I overheard him tell his co workers how he hoped I passed my test . I told him thank you ! He was like “ we need teachers so I really hope you do well .” I loved my coffee and the donut . To be honest there was nothing mini about that donut . It was smaller than the others but definitely mighty . The filling tasted just like a keylime pie . I genuinely enjoyed it but what made my visit so extra special was John’s customer service . When I left he wished me luck and even told me to come back and let him know if I passed my test . He was like you just got to believe that you already passed. I feel like I ended up at the right place before my test , with a genuinely happy and positive person . I passed my test! I went back to tell him but he had already gone for the day . I hope the owners see this review and that I got the right name . You have an amazing employee . I got way more than a coffee and donut . I got a great customer service experience, that now I will positively always remember. Those state exams make you really nervous and his positivity made a difference. By the end two other workers even wished me luck . Thank you John, for going above and beyond !

Lucky to have found this place so close to my job.

I went recently to pick some bags from Too Good to Go. The two people working there kept saying they couldn’t see me swiping that I had gotten the bags despite me showing them. They took a very long time to give the bags and even longer to simply staple them. I told them my car was parked in a spot where I couldn’t park and that I’d need to leave soon and if they could please hurry and they didn’t care. There weren’t even people whose order they were taking so I’m honestly not even sure why this took so long. I’ve previously come to pick up things in this store and they have always been ready by the time I get there. I’m frankly a bit disappointed from the experience this time as I do love the store’s decor and even more the food sold.

La Provence is a French-style bakery and cafe with several locations across Miami. It offers a variety of pastries, quiches, salads, sandwiches, and drinks in a modern and relaxed atmosphere. Customers can enjoy their cafe au lait with crispy baguettes and colorful macarons while taking in the fresh air at bistro tables outside. Some patrons suggest that the bakery could expand its menu to attract more customers for dinner and weekends by adopting a model similar to Panera Bread.
Amazing you should try it clean place ver friendly staff great coffee

First off, the people that take orders here are clueless about what they sell. That wouldn't be ridiculous if they had a full menu instead of the fixed limited items they sell, most of which are premade. Next up, this place needs to be $$ but when you see what you get even for $15, the breakfast buffets down the road are a far superior option. That being said ingredients is used here are excellent. The sandwiches taste great provided they are constructed correctly. It took these guys 3 tries before they were able to make my sandwich exactly as proven menu.

This used to be my favorite place to go in the mornings. I love getting a ham and cheese croissant with pickle and mayo. I was just told they have no pickles (what?????), and that I'd have to spread my own mayo. I'm sorry but what is a kitchen for? And when I got back home, I learn there's mayo already on it. Okay, not only was service unhelpful, but rude. I miss the staff that used to be there, who knew how we liked our coffee. Now this place has no soul. Never going back.

I was quite disappointed with this place. I read that they had a good baguette. It wasn't anything special. I also ordered a quiche which did not feel very fresh and was re-heated in the microwave (no real French bakery would do that). The restaurant did not seem very clean: lots of dirty tables, dirty windows, bird flying around inside the restaurant. This is a pass for me, there is much better in Miami.
Vincent G — Google review
The food is really good. The baked "goodies" are really good. This place could KILL it, if it took a more "panera" approach and menu. This place could do a great dinner crowd and weekend crowd, but their hours are hit and miss, and never open on evenings. Really, if this place would consider looking to the panera model, it would lead downtown in sales.

I work right in front of La Provence so I used to love it for the convenience, the yummy and fresh food. However the last month's I've felt that the service and quality of the food has gone way down. Service was never spectacular but now it's even worse, it seems to me like the Management changed

Bakery
Breadman Miami is a modern take on traditional Cuban cuisine, offering a variety of classic dishes with a twist. The menu features ultra-flaky pastelitos filled with savory and sweet fillings like ground beef, plantains, Nutella, and creamy cheese. Their selection of sandwiches includes popular options such as cubanos and medianoches, as well as their signature Supermeng loaded with shredded steak, onions, American cheese, and fried eggs on a Cuban roll.
Breadman Bakery is located on 8 Street and 84 Avenue and is our family's favorite bakery in Miami. They have delicious pastelitos (carne, carne & maduro, nutella, cheese, guava, pizza), croquetas, papa rellenas and the best empanadas (chicken, beef, and ham & cheese). When I request a cafe con leche, oscuro, they make it just the way I ask, which I greatly appreciate. I love their cakes and have order 3 cakes from them (I particularly like vanilla & chocolate with custard in the middle). Betty always helps me with my party orders and their staff is wonderful, friendly, and kind. They have a breakfast and lunch menu that features a variety of sandwiches. Prices are a lot more reasonable then other bakeries. Visit them and order to go or eat in. Tables & chairs are available to eat in.

Wow — visiting from out of town, and this place didn’t just hit the spot… it pulled up a chair, tucked me in, and fed my soul. The media noche? Life-changing. I’m convinced they sprinkled a little magic in there. The croquetas were so perfect I almost proposed. And the pastel de guayaba? A buttery, guava-filled symphony that made my taste buds dance. The variety on the menu was top-tier — I wanted to try everything twice. And the service? Like catching up with your favorite cousin you didn’t know you had. (Dianelys was awesome!) If you’re wondering what Cuban food is supposed to taste like, this is it. Flavorful, soulful, and unforgettable. I didn’t just eat — I experienced something special.
Priscilla D — Google review
The pastries are delicious but the cakes not so much a least in my opinion not worth the price it is sold for. The big black party tray is a Bandeja Negra and we got it for $50 and it is great for the office or any gatherings especially since it is made to order with just 20 minute wait. The coffee and toast have always been perfect, never to hard and not squished thing

I picked up a cuban bread yesterday, and today I opened it and was all messed up. I put it in a bag bc if not it is very known that it will quickly turn into a baseball bat, and today it was nasty. It tasted like old lard and the whole top part fell off! The BTREADMAN and the bread was bad??? Don't reccomend for cuban bread. Not sure about the rest of the stuff but I wouldn't try it if the bread isn't even right.

The cafe offers fast and relatively inexpensive breakfast options, including French toast, eggs Benedict, ham and egg croissants, and delicious pastries like chocolate almond croissants. The ambiance is wonderful, making it an ideal place for brunch or dinner.
Unexpected discovery - top shelf pastries - best quiche I’ve ever had - chicken tomato salad was super fresh and rich in flavor. Coffee was very good too. Plenty of parking on next block or on street. Seating outside in buena vista garden mall is aces in ambience. Feels like a Caribbean island. Love this place!

Nice little cafe inside Upper Buena Vista. They have great pastries and coffee. I loved then even more because they use biodegradable cutlery 💓!! I just wish they had a little more seating space.

Great chocolate croissant, Napoléon, chouquette and tarte bourdaloue. Café good too, dark roast. Easy parking. Cute place. Only bemol quiche price a little on the high side and musique and staff are not French. Food tastes French though.

Amazing food! Home like, very fresh and delicious! We had a brunch party of 20+ ppl and the service was excellent. They are great in communication, always there for you, very nice stuff! The whole experience was delightful! We are Very pleased. Definitely coming back for a special event or just a brunch/dinner. Thank you Cafe Creme, see you soon. P.S. desserts are to die for!

Overall, this little place has wonderful ambience. We went there for the first time and sat outside and it was very nice. My husband and I both had croissants and I had the Parisian eggs and he had the ham and Gruyere omelette. We were a little disappointed in the flavor of our meal but, overall, it was acceptable and we shall return.

Big Fan of cafe creme. I love their goat cheese and mushroom quiche. Great place for French food on the go. Always fresh. Great coffee and pastries. Their location in North Miami offer amazing dinner options. If I'm in design district, I always pass by.

Love this place and everything about it, been coming here for almost a year! The last few times I’ve come the espresso has been really watery. Could straight away see that water was running through way too quickly and said they should adjust the grinder, which they couldn’t since the adjustment knob had been removed. It’s a coffee place!!! Better fix this quickly before I find another place to get my fix! :(

Buena Vista Deli is a charming French eatery located in the Design District. It offers a cozy atmosphere with patio seating, making it an ideal spot for enjoying homemade pastries, artisanal deli goods, and cafe fare. The bakery is known for its flaky croissants, ciabatta loaves, baguettes, and unrivaled French brioche. The dessert selection is equally impressive with options like Paris-Brest, Opera cake, and coffee eclair.
Named for the neighborhood, not the food, this is a French deli/cafe near the Design District. We were surprised there were very few people for a Sunday at noon. We enjoyed cappuccinos & authentic French cuisine. Many delicious desserts to choose from as well. Definitely worth a stop.

Found this location, via a blog on best places to have breakfast in Miami. It’s a cozy store nothing fancy ,the staff were very friendly and helpful when it came to explaining the menu. We had the Spanish tortillas and the croque madam replaced the ham with salmon 🍣! That’s was our favorite ❤️

The closest thing I've had to pastries in France. This place has delicious french pastries! My absolute favorite is the Almond Croissant. All their pastries are exactly as they should be. You can tell they put a lot of love into their products. I've had the strawberry tart, regular croissant, chocolate croissant, almond croissant, Royal chocolat, Napoleon, cappuccino and the quiche (❤️❤️❤️❤️) Not one single negative things from any of these items. This places also sells homemade bread! Service was excellent….thanks!!! I will comeback again!

Where do I start. I love the food, service and ambiance. I came in for the first time on Friday morning and I’m back today Monday morning. I haven’t stop thinking of the delicious egg and bacon croissant…. It is perfection. I also had a superDuPont juice which was orange, carrot, and ginger juice so yummy. And my fiancé had a combo number one, which was soup or salad and half a sandwich. He opted for a Greek salad and a roast beef sandwich. He loved it. We took a croissant to go, and a crème brûlée. The croissant wasn’t as good as it was there at the restaurant, but the crème brûlée was phenomenal. On my second visit I ordered the egg and bacon croissant to go and while I waited I had a chouquette. It was so yummy. I can’t forget to mention Robert he was he both times and was so wonderful. He greeted us warmly and was extremely kind. I highly recommend checking this delish french deli out.

This place is a hidden gem. Real French in the making. Everything was delicious and made fresh in the hands of their chef directly from south of France. The Escargots WOW. The lobster quiche was exquisite and the Croque Madame Facón Ducasse was more than anticipated. Staff so professional and at the same time with great ambient and making our experience outstanding. We will definitely be coming here more often.

Wow! Had a fantastic breakfast here this week! I wish I could eat their quiche every day!! The outdoor patio is charming and shaded, my mocha with almond milk was perfect, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to go back!

Tried the server’s recommendation of the goat cheese and portobello quiche and I was not disappointed. Only thing it was a bit overcooked but huge portion. Service was good. I liked that the server wasn’t too overbearing as I was working but he was also present if needed.

Piononos is a small bakery in the heart of Miami Beach that specializes in delicious Pavlovas. The bakery is well-known for its signature walnut meringue cake filled with dulce de leche, whipped cream and strawberries. Peruvians flock to Piononos for their strawberry pavlovas, which are always fresh and high quality. The bakery also offers a wide variety of pastries and treats, making it the perfect spot for any celebration.
I rarely eat any sweets but this cake was so good I ate a 6 portion cake in 2 days. Amazing taste but not ordering any time soon due to my diet. I strongly recommend it to everyone else
Marcia Z — Google review
Ordered ahead for a 12 person dulce de leche pavlova. I ended up also buying a small tres leches, and a slice of carrot cake. All items were fresh and delicious. This place is on the second floor, is small with no where to sit and wait. None of the items were overly sweet and hit the spot. I tried calling multiple times and left a message once but never received a call back and no one ever answered the phone. It’s a shame there is not a location closer to Kendall.

Hands down the best confectionery in Key Biscayne. The famous Pavlova is known even outside the borders…..due to its unique amazing beauty and taste. Highly recommend it.Just don’t forget to order way, way in advance. They sold out quickly.

I had a terrible experience ordering a birthday cake for my daughter’s 18th. The whole process was frustrating from start to finish. When placing the order, there was no way to specify the number for the cake, and despite emailing and calling multiple times, no one ever answered or responded. There was never any confirmation, and it felt impossible to reach a real person. The lack of communication and complete disregard for customer service made what should have been a special occasion incredibly stressful. I would not recommend this business to anyone. I canceled the order and now am having a hard time getting a refund for the $300 cake.
Louie R — Google review
WORST COMMUNICATION SERVICE!!! One week trying to contact them to order a cake, they don’t answer the phone, they don’t respond to messages, they just call you back whenever they are available. When we finally were able to be in touch with them we set up time of delivery and the address… guess what they didn’t show up and NOBODY WILL TAKE THE CALL… $300 for a cake

absolutely amazing. The flavor and texture were just perfect, fresh, light, and made with so much care. It’s not your typical heavy dessert; you can really taste the quality. I can only imagine how incredible everything else must be.

Gilberts is definitely not what it used to be. The service was terrible, with one older lady at the register that takes for ever. I decided to stop by today as I hadn't been there in years. I bought 3 croquetas and 3 pastelitos. when eating my croqueta, I bit into something hard and pulled out of my mouth a wrapped up plastic. Seems they rolled the croquetas with platic wrapping. Ugh. No more, thank you.
Jacqueline D — Google review
I used to love Gilbert’s Bakery when it first opened; it had such a great reputation and amazing food. I hadn't been there in years, so I was excited to stop by today and picked up a variety of items. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the quality. The only thing that stood out in a good way was the chicken empanada. Everything else was mediocre at best. The croquetas were overpriced and not tasty, the pastelitos de guayaba had a strange flavor and just weren't good, and the sandwiches were bland. The carne fría, in particular, seemed old and not fresh. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and it’s clear that the quality has gone down over the years. Any Cuban bakery in Miami can provide better and tastier items at a better price.

Today I bought some chicken menezier at your bakery on Bird Road and I was appalled when I saw the pastelitos and had my first bite. The quality of the product is horrible and so is the chicken filling. Gilbert’s has always been known for the high quality of the products but it is a shame that is not anymore. I have been a customer for years and I am very disappointed.

What an amazing and adorable cafe. Had breakfast this morning. Food was so fresh and delicious. I had a ham, brie and mushroom omelet, wife had the berry French toast, then we took a Guava croissant to go and had it when we got back to the hotel later. All were so good. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Cafe Croissant is a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Miami. From the moment you step in, you are greeted with an inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The café is run by two charming French brothers who are always present, ensuring every dish is crafted to perfection. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast there, featuring a prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich, accompanied by three perfectly fried eggs and a cup of excellent coffee. The flavors were impeccable, and each bite was a testament to the quality and care put into the food. The service at Cafe Croissant is outstanding. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making your dining experience memorable. The environment is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to start your day or enjoy a leisurely meal. In summary, Cafe Croissant offers a fantastic culinary experience with top-notch service and a warm, friendly atmosphere. It's a must-visit for anyone in Miami looking for delicious food and a charming dining experience.
Byron O — Google review
While Café Croissant is really the only convenient spot in the area for a quick breakfast, the experience left much to be desired. I had to send my first eggs back and nothing seemed like it was made with thought or care. The croissants had a decent buttery aroma but lacked the light, flaky texture that defines a truly excellent pastry. Instead, they seem to be average and pay with a hotel-style pack of Strawberry jam, not as fresh as one would hope. The young girl who served me was very kind, but the rest of the service was perfunctory at best, with staff appearing disinterested in customer satisfaction. The coffee I will say was the highlight. It was very good that we came with a giant hair in it. The café' also lacks typical French ambiance, it is more of a hole-in-the-wall diner with a smattering of French decor. All that being said there doesn’t seem to be much else around the neighborhood so this is what you get. If you're in a rush and need a caffeine fix, it'll do the job - but don't go out of your way for what amounts to a forgettable dining experience.
NICK M — Google review
We visited Café Croissant and ordered scrambled eggs with salad, an Americano, a cappuccino, and a ham and cheese croissant. The quality of the products was excellent—everything was truly delicious, with the croissant standing out in particular for being served hot and perfectly prepared. However, there were some aspects that could be improved. When we ordered a second ham and cheese croissant, it was served cold, which diminished the experience compared to the first one. Additionally, when it came time to pay, we noticed that a 20% service charge had already been included, yet the bill still suggested leaving an additional tip of 20% or more. When we asked for clarification, we felt somewhat pressured to leave the additional amount—which we did. In other restaurants in the area, when a service charge is included, it is clearly stated upfront that any additional tip is optional; in this case, that information was not provided. Furthermore, the service was not particularly courteous, possibly due to the large number of customers at the time. In summary, Café Croissant offers high-quality food, but certain aspects of the service—such as consistency in food presentation and transparency regarding charges—should be reviewed in order to ensure an experience that matches the excellence of its cuisine.

Our next family adventure take us to Majestic Portugués Bakehouse located in Coral Glades with a rating of 4.7 and more than 1,038 reviews this restaurant It is one of the places I had on my list of favorites to visit. It's a small place, with little space to sit. What I like is that you can see the preparation process. The customer service was excellent, from a Portuguese man. His accent caught our attention because that detail makes you feel like you're in his country. We found a table quickly, ordered, and the food arrived as soon as we sat down. Everything was hot and ready to eat. Overall, it was good and traditional. The only thing is that parking is very limited, so we had to eat quickly because we were in a reserved space for another business.

Majestic Bakery served up authentic and irresistible Brazilian comfort food. The Pão de Queijo were the highlight: crisp outside, chewy and cheesy inside. The Coxinhas were equally excellent, featuring a thin, crispy shell and a savory, creamy shredded chicken filling. I came all the way from Hollywood to try this unique bakery. I’ve tried hundreds of vegan bakeries, and I can confidently say these are the best pastries I’ve ever had. L’Artisane Vegan Bakery is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment you step inside, the inviting aroma of freshly baked pastries and warm hospitality wraps around you like a cozy hug. Whether you’re a lifelong vegan or just curious, this place proves that plant-based baking can be every bit as indulgent, elegant, and satisfying as its traditional counterparts. Their croissants are absolute works of art—flaky, buttery (without the butter, of course), and filled with perfectly balanced flavors like almond, chocolate, or strawberry cheesecake. Each bite is a revelation, and don’t even get me started on their cakes and tarts—each one a visual masterpiece that tastes even better than it looks. What really sets L’Artisane apart is the passion behind everything they create. Every pastry feels handcrafted with love and precision. The attention to detail, the inventive flavors, and the consistent quality make this bakery a true gem in the vegan culinary world. L’Artisane isn’t just a bakery—it’s an experience, a celebration of flavor, creativity, and compassion. Highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates great food, vegan or not!

5 stars isn’t enough to rate this place. I am always looking for vegan restaurants and bakeries when I travel and this one was definitely a precious gem of a find. The food was exquisite and the pastries were absolute perfection. The staff was lovely and made the experience even better. Andres and Adriana gave me the best recommendations and I left perfectly satisfied. My mom got two guava and cream cheese pastries even though she only planned to order one and didn’t share with me she loved it so much and I got a chocolate one and the eggs Benedict with crab. I wish I could've stayed in the area to try them all. The whole menu was tantalizing. At the end, I was washing my hands and one of my veneers fell out and the holes in the drain seemed too small for it to fit through. Andres and Adriana helped me look thoroughly for 15 minutes with no luck and I wasn’t even phased because of my wonderful experience. So happy with this place!! Mucho cariño en L’Artisane. Me encanto mi experiencia. Estoy ansiosa de regresar a disfrutar nuevamente de un croissant vegano.

Found my go-to bakery in soflo! There is certainly a lack in quality, local, and trendy bakeries in the area. Being from Chicago and having traveled quite a bit, this bakery reminds me of something you would easily find in Chicago, NYC, Boston, etc. It has the it factor. Isn’t too try hard and they’ve got a blend of fresh and creative flavors. Waiting for the cardamom bun to return in the fall! Fun and vibrant ambience in a Sunday morning- the place was packed! So excited to return once they return!

This coffee shop nails the little things. The minimal, concrete vibe with wood stools and a sleek counter feels modern yet warm, and the staff are excellent. The ice in the coffee is crisp and clean, showing their attention to quality. But what amazed me most were the napkins—a small detail, yet chosen with such care that it speaks volumes about the shop’s thoughtfulness. When even the napkins impress you, you know every part of the experience has been considered.

It has taken me a long time to come to terms with the fact this is best bakery in the united states. I am a bakery lover. I have been to countless bakeries around the country and world to find the best and how lucky am I to have found the best bakery in the country a few miles away from my home (am i lucky or does the universe just want me to gain weight?). The croissants are the best I’ve ever had. I don’t know what they put in the dough, but it is phenomenal. I went over the weekend and they had cardamom buns which I had been looking forward to for weeks because there is no cardamom buns in the United States that are worth having quite frankly. Now these are worth having. I wanted to gate keep so bad but I can’t anymore. Baker and Barista deserves all the hype and more.

What an amazing experience! Our 3 day trip to Miami we stopped by the first day when we just happened upon it while walking. The gentleman working was so kind. He really made the experience so great we had to stop back in before leaving town today! They were incredibly busy today compared to the other but he recognized us immediately and made us feel so welcomed. The coconut cold brew is the BEST cold brew I've EVER had. If im ever back in Miami I will be back! UPDATE: I couldnt stop thinking about the cold brew before leaving the city. We went back to Baker and Barista for a 3rd time and I asked if they had larger batches of cold brew available. This wasn't something they were prepared for but I was.. with my own gallon jug! They were so accommodating for my insane request and I am happily drinking my cold brew from 10hours away lol AMAZING STAFF!

Casa Bake is a charming European-style bakery located in South Miami, offering a delightful selection of freshly baked goods. While it's a takeout-only establishment, visitors can still enjoy the experience of watching skilled bakers at work on a large wooden table while sipping on a latte. The bakery is known for its affordable and delicious plain croissants, priced at $3.50 each.
So yummy! Perfect amount of sweet and savory, perfect amount of shine on your fingers so not overly oily. Great bread to filling ratio in my opinion and the tomato pesto danish was most bold in flavor but still very balanced. ❤️ will definitely be a regular visitor here. Service was very fast and you can always park on the side road if their spaces are full.
Kass G — Google review
Stopped by Casa Bake near the end of the day, so the selection was quite limited. I ended up trying the almond croissant. The flavor was pleasant, although the almond note was pretty subtle. This isn’t your typical fluffy, buttery croissant — it’s more on the crispy side, almost like a cookie in texture, as if it had been baked a little too long. That said, I still enjoyed it. It had a nice crunch and a toasty flavor that made it unique, even if it wasn’t the classic style I was expecting. Would I go again? Probably only if I’m already in the area. I drove from downtown Miami just for this, and while it was good, it’s not worth a special trip.
Frank G — Google review
The pastries and sandwiches are genuinely UNBELIEVABLE. I am in awe of these croissants, how crispy, fresh, and delicious they are. Make sure to get here early, because they sell out fast!! 🩷
Maryam D — Google review
Best croissants in Miami, hands down. The ladies working are always very sweet even when they are sold out. Couldn’t wait to take the picture before trying them😂 Seriously though, I’ve been to a million croissant places in south Florida and this never disappoints. Also veryyyy reasonably priced.
Leila C — Google review
Amazing bakery! The first time, I got there around noon, and they were already sold out almost of everything. The second time, I got there around 10.30 am and had much better luck, all 4 things I tried were delicious! Obviously super fresh, very fluffy, and so much flavor. The Danish with truffle and quiche Lorraine were my absolute favorite.
Katerina — Google review
AMAZING CROISSANTS! Hands down best croissant I’ve tasted in the states. Wonderful staff, but they sell out very fast. My colleague stopped by around noon and they were already sold out with croissants. This place does have coffee, but it is on a smaller side, so you may want to get caffeine elsewhere. I saw many reviews about their pistachio croissant. It had so much filling, feels like the owner won't compromise the quality of these quossants by being cheap with the ingredients. They're giving PARIS, they're giving definition of QUOSSANT! It was a tad bit sweet to my likings, but it was definitely flavorful! My top picks were kouign amann and almond croissant. I've seen reviews saying that the almond croissant smelled burnt and wasn't up to par, but I bought almond croissants on two separate occasions, and they were SO GOOD. I am not from Miami area, but I would love to visit the next time round when I am visiting.
Meena — Google review
Delicious croissants, Dulce de leche one is the best. Almond croissant has like a pastry cream inside, which made me not love it as much. Dark chocolate was very good also!! They were out of pistachio when we went around 9:30 am. Favorite thing we got was the baguette bread loaf, that was outstanding.
Cami T — Google review
Casa Bake is a not so hidden-gem in Miami with the most delicious and fresh pastries. I had the pleasure of passing by today and grabbing a few things to try and every single one was absolutely amazing. The spot is small and cozy with tons of options to choose from. Sadly by the time we passed by it was already running a bit low and they were making new stuff. So needless to say, they are popular and inventory is not guaranteed. The coffee paired so well with the croissant (I just wished I could’ve grabbed a chocolate or pistachio one instead). It was super flaky, but buttery and soft inside, just perfect. I will definitely be returning another day at an earlier time to try more of their options. The service was also super efficient. We were in and out under 5 minutes. Major kudos for this!

Bakery
Nestled in the vibrant Coral Gables area, Caracas Bakery is a delightful gem co-founded by Jesus Brazon and his father Manuel. This charming eatery showcases the essence of Miami's diverse culinary landscape through its authentic offerings. Jesus, a self-taught chef, pours his passion into every dish, making Caracas Bakery a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the rich flavors that define this dynamic city.
Miracle Mile has a brand-new, mouthwatering 🤤sourdough aroma in the air—and it’s all thanks to the ovens of Caracas 🌇Bakery! This beloved local chain has now proudly stamped its flavorful mark on this iconic Coral Gables street. Venezolanos, prepárense—your nostalgic taste buds are about to go wild when you bite into one of their legendary canillas (a.k.a. Venezuelan-style 🥖baguettes). Crispy on the outside, and pillowy-soft on the inside, these golden breadsticks will disappear before you even realize it—so do yourself a favor and grab two (mínimo). The pastelito 🥮 de carne is a surprising puff of savory bliss. Stuffed with well-seasoned meat and wrapped in a flaky, buttery croissant-style dough, it’s a mini flavor bomb. Each bite is rich, satisfying, and perfectly spiced—exactly what your antojitos have been craving. But of course, I saved the best for last: the one and only cachito de jamón. In my honest opinion, these are the best in town—and honestly, the best I’ve ever had, period. The tender, finely shredded ham 🐖tucked into a beautifully bronzed, flaky pastry is a work of art. It’s a bite of tradition that has been lovingly perfected by this incredible bakery. You can also try their version filled with glazed ham and salty cheese, which brings a 🧀cheesy, flavorful twist to the classic. The quality across the board doesn’t surprise me when things are made with joy, cariño, and pure Venezuelan passion, the result is always top-notch. The signature charisma Criolla ☀️shines in their warm and welcoming service. You’ll probably leave feeling like panas with 👧🏻Carlix, 👧🏼Paula, 🧒🏻Arturo, and even 🧒🏼Erik, the pana who makes the deliveries. So go ahead—get in that full Venezuelan 🇻🇪vibe and take a delicious trip to Caracas through Caracas Bakery, the most chévere bakery to ever hit Miami.
Mauro D — Google review
So happy they finally opened in Coral Gables! Now I have them close to work! Delicious pastries and baked goods! I am forever fan of their Pastry Cream Danish. Super flaky and pastry cream made to perfection paired it with an iced coffee 🫶🏼 Highly Recommended!
Cindy C — Google review
This is a smaller than usual branch of the Caracas bakeries popping up everywhere. This one being on Miracle Mile, of course, has limited parking options, such as the public city lot 6 blocks away, or just the paid street parking all around the area. However, they do open at 8:00AM and parking is plentiful at that time. The food options are the same as those of other Caracas locations, so if you've tried those, this will be a similar experience in a smaller space. I have tried almost everything. For those not familiar with the offerings, I would recommend that you get a golfeado with cheese, a ham and cheese cachito, and a bourekas in any flavor. Those are my favorites. They also have a Nutella and Guava Bobka that just works.
Pedro S — Google review
Right on Miracle Mile and as you walk in through the door on your right is a little baking area so you can see that they make baked goods fresh. Then it’s a small tight passage way to ordering. Which can become like a bottleneck so be patient if there’s several people in front of you. There’s limited seating against the wall and on the back . Definitely had to try their American coffee, which is strong and I liked it. The banana bread was definitely different from any other banana bread I’ve ever tasted it almost had like a chocolate flavor to it, but I don’t believe there’s any chocolate in it. Caracas Bakery caters to a single customer or two any group bigger is uncomfortable. It’s mostly a quick bite or for pick up and you’re on your way… But I did enjoy it, and I will return. To try other items, especially cinnamon roll, which they ran out of - next time.
Ralph A — Google review
This is by far one of our favorite, an amazing must-have Venezuelan bakery in Coral Gables. You got to try the best tasting “cachito de jamón” and the “golfeado con queso” in this whole area. The “Cafe con Leche” is beautifully made and delicious! Paula who is also from Caracas, took great care of us with her beautiful smile and excellent service. Thank you!
Carlos A — Google review
Flat white was the best we tried in Miami. I loved ham and cheese croissant, baguette, guava cream cheese danish!

It was very good! The matcha perfect the different pastry amazing.

I love this place. Love their food but always wonder why are they so slow at the cashier? I had to stand in line like 1 minutes to order a couple of cachitos. The wait is definitely worth it but I’d put 5 stars if they can do it faster. Some of us are in a hurry all the time I did review this place before and gave them 4 stars but. after today Caracas Bakery went above and beyond! They’d sold out of their delicious pan de jamón, but baked one specially for me and had it ready in an hour. Exceptional service and flavor!

Versailles Bakery, a beloved gem nestled in the vibrant heart of Little Havana, has been delighting visitors with its authentic Cuban flavors since the early 1970s. This iconic establishment is not just a bakery; it also serves as a full-service restaurant offering traditional dishes like ropa vieja and lechon asado. The bustling atmosphere adds to the charm, where patrons can grab a ticket upon arrival and eagerly await their turn to indulge in an array of delectable pastries and robust coffee.
I got some coffee which was excellent and the sweet treats were very good. This is a must when you are in Little Havana to pick up and take to go back to your hotel and enjoy.

What a treat with a selection of options! I like that when you arrive you take a ticket number. Once it’s your turn, you order away. We popped in to try some desserts. I got the key lime pie and a flan… SO GOOD! I wish I wasn’t from out of town so I could come back often.

Visited 3/8/25 @ 3 PM. Service and taste of food was good, price was cheap for the items they offered. Unfortunately, they did not have labels for any items on counter display other than the main menu behind the counter. For a non-cuban/non-hispanic it was very hard for me to figure out what is what when ordering and it was not pleasant.
Sandeep M — Google review
Bakery is right next to the famous Versailles restaurant. Same as the restaurant, the staff is super friendly. They got wide variety of baked goods. Juices, coffee and much more. They got indoor and outdoor seating. Love this place.

Loyal Customer Banned After One Visit — Service is Unacceptable I am writing this review as a long-time, repeat takeout customer of Versailles Bakery. The quality of the food is ok, and that's why I've kept coming back. However, my recent experience with the dine-in/staying service was shocking. After making my purchase, my parents and I decided to sit down for a short time after we finished our meal, I went to the restroom when my parents were approached by a staff member and were told they had to leave. The interaction felt rude and unwelcoming, and it was incredibly jarring to be asked to leave a public space immediately after giving them my business. If you are only looking for a quick transaction, the food is great. But be warned: do not expect any hospitality or common courtesy. The lack of respect for repeat customers is astounding and has unfortunately cost them my business permanently. They don' t do this to everyone, there's a lot of older folks who get to stay and talk about the same issue, for as long as they want.
Eduardo S — Google review
Horrible service and unprofessional. 2 out of the 4 ladies at the register were eating dinner at the counter while a few people were waiting. There’s a ticket number system but one lady followed and the other did not so it was pointless and caused me and someone else to be skipped. Will never return to the bakery.
Jorge C — Google review
This bakery is so good! Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The lady who helped us was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!

This is a wonderful mom & pop cafe where you can get simple Latin food in the form of entrees with rice or sandwiches. The drinks are mostly beers and juices. The best cupcakes in town! The service is great and they helped us with our food allergies. 100000% recommended.

Home to the best vanilla birthday cake cupcake you’ll ever have. The best cupcakes in town. Amazing! One cupcake is $4.
Will P — Google review
Cute little shop with a great variety of cupcakes. Not a huge selection of mini cupcakes but they sell them in packs of 4 at a discounted price. The dulce de leche cupcake was pretty delicious, while the red velvet cupcake was just okay. Nothing really stood out from it. None of their cupcakes have any fillings. Also, no restrooms and I dont believe I noticed seating either- it's a small shop.
Veronica P — Google review
An excellent local gem! The service here is always some of the friendliest I’ve experienced. The cupcakes are delicious, with thick buttercream frosting and moist cake, not made with lots of artificial ingredients. They have a large variety of flavors - some local specialties, like dulce de leche and key lime pie. Many cupcakes are actually available every day and not once or twice a week as the menu shows. The coffee is delicious as well. You can find tres leches from Versailles in a small fridge by the counter some days. After reading about how Misha’s treats their employees, I encourage people to check out this spot since it’s just a couple blocks away. Here’s how you run a business!
Kicia — Google review
This place has got to close. Can't resist a cupcake and since I was next door getting ice cream I went in to give it a try. Honestly the cupcake looked terrible, like even I can make a prettier cupcake. But hell I decided to give it a shot. It was so bad I had to spit it out. Dry, tasteless, just bad. I gave it to my two friends to try and they also said it was the worst cupcake they had ever had. One of my friends asked me, "is this old? It tastes like it's two days old." I'm all for supporting local businesses, but not if they want to charge high prices for terrible products. This place needs to close. I also think these are fake paid reviews because 3/3 people who tried these cupcakes agreed they were inedible Here's a photo of the ugly cupcake in question:

If you're in Miami and have a sweet tooth, Janette & Co. is an absolute must-visit! This charming French bakery specializes in an array of delightful macarons that range from classic Nutella to the exotic rose petal flavor. During my recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed their macarons, especially the chocolate and passion fruit varieties. My fiancé, who adores these treats, sampled numerous flavors and was thrilled with each one.
Looking for gift ideas for some of my business customers, found Janette & Co. Macarons, nothing has been so effective at pleasing them, taste and flavors are amazing.

I tried a ton of macaroons here! They were all delicious. They have some interesting flavors and taste really fresh. This is a cute shop on the Miracle Mile in Coral Cables. We stopped in after dinner to try some sweets. The only thing I would recommend is that they have some outdoor seating!

I had the pleasure of trying Janette & Co’s macarons while I was visiting Miami last week and they were DELICIOUS. I typically don’t like macarons, but it was my fiancé’s birthday and she wanted some, so of course we got them. I tried chocolate and passion fruit and was so surprised by how much I enjoyed them. My fiancé tried so many of the other flavors and she truly loved them. I’ll be surprising her with more very soon!

Best macaroons in town! I’ve become like a macaroon connoisseur and I have even compared them to macaroons from Paris and these are the best! They’re fluffy, flavorful, and made every morning! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he is from France and he personally makes them every morning! Go here!

We use to come here every year during our trips to Miami. There use to be full display cases with lines of people. The cases were empty, there were no people and the food was awful. The empanada were ice cold and we trashed them. The papa rellenos were overcooked and the meat was so bad. The only thing that was fantastic was the guava and cheese pastelitos. This place holds many precious memories for me, but I won’t be back. The media noche was also trashed. It tasted strongly of vinegar. The food is just not edible. There are way to many places in Miami with fantastic Cuban food then to ever eat here again.

I had been coming here for a while now, the staff it’s Extraordinary they make you feel appreciated and value as a person and customer . There hospitality upon arrival and be able to put a smile and a face of joy it’s important for each and every one of them . Don't order with Uber from this place. The coffee is always spilt and then it sogs everything inside the bag. They can't place the coffee in a proper container so that it doesn't spill. Today, more than half of my coffee was gone by the time the order got to me. It soaked the bag and the cuban tostada I ordered.

We’ve been going here for years. The staff is friendly and efficient. The Cafecito‘s, croquets & pastries are all good. The best part is they’re now open 24 hours. This is amazing post Covid Miami has such limited hours— but YAY for Ricky’s for breaking the mold👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Miriam A — Google review
I’ve been a loyal customer of Ricky Bakery #2 for 4 years now’s, and always enjoyed their pastries and good customer service. However, recent orders have been underwhelming and disappointing. While their pastelitos, croquetas and premade cakes were always fresh and delicious the Cuban bread, some breakfast items, and bocaditos are a hit or miss. My recent delivery was especially disappointing. The bread was VERY stale, hard, and had strange cotton/hair like fibers all over ontop of it. Even though I NEVER seen this on any Cuban bread I bought before I thought maybe it could’ve been fibers from the gluten, but when I tried pulling it apart it was very hard to break and definitely inedible. When I cut the bread open, there was none inside, so I assume it collected this stuff while sitting in the bakery. Aside from that, the bocaditos tasted old, and the pasta de jamón inside had an off flavor like if it was old. It's a shame, but I don’t think I’ll be ordering from here again given my experience and other recent reviews from customers.
