Bella Italia - Southampton Hanover is a casual Italian restaurant offering a variety of pasta, pizza, and grill dishes, including options for children. Located at the Hanover Buildings in Southampton, it provides easy access from London and the Isle of Wight via land or sea. Situated near the New Forest between Southampton and Bournemouth, it offers scenic views of The Solent and coastal walks overlooking The Needles.
The staff are friendly and the shop is well set up. The meal were generous and delicious. I ordered prawns as a starter. Sea bass and pasta as staples. That's about 40£ in total. But for a solo meal, it costs around £20(if you don't order two main courses like I did). Everything is good!

A good place to eat on a budget. Food is average and can be a bit slow to arrive. Staff are polite and friendly. Nice atmosphere considering the price. Overall, there is a good balance of cost service and quality.
Roger W — Google review
I ordered two very classic pasta dishes. The meatball spaghetti was probably cooked a little better, but the Carbanara was not very traditional. It had too much cream.

Bella Italia is my favorite Italian spot in Southampton! The pasta is amazing, especially the Lasagna – a must-try! Prices are super student-friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Highly recommend for a tasty, budget-friendly meal!

Popped in for quick pizza and a beer before joining my ship. Quick office service. Food great. Just what I wanted. Server was excellent kept checking everything good and friendly and smiley Well done will return.

Best dining experience ive had in a long long time...haven't been here for a few years so decided to visit again. I had a lovely greeting by the server and was so quick and efficient with everything. Food...perfection! Atmosphere...so so lively and positive...its impossible to think of a negative about this place...unlike somewhere else (in the same chain), the management team actually respect their colleagues and don't walk out in the middle of service for a smoke...at least they understand the importance of customers! Will definitely be back!!

Great experience eating with a pal! Always love a Bella Italia, especially with the £5 pasta deal. Nice to get out of the heat as well, into a nicely air conditioned area. Emilie was really lovely and it was very efficient service. Thanks!
Tabitha G — Google review
Booked a table as in town before going on a cruise. Dede was very helpful and looked after us lovely. She noticed I had left half my meal and asked if it was OK. It was a little sweet for me, she came back with a sorbet for me to clear the taste. That is proper customer service skills.

Nestled in the charming town of Lymington, Rivaaz Lymington stands out as a beacon for Indian cuisine enthusiasts. With its sleek and modern decor, this restaurant offers a delightful blend of classic favorites and lesser-known dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. The culinary prowess here is evident, especially with their renowned tandoor dishes that have earned them multiple accolades over the years.
We were looking for a nice restaurant and we found it. We had dinner on a Monday bank holiday and we had no problem having a table even though we didn't book in advance. After we sat down the restaurant was full so we were very lucky. The service was very good all the waitress knew what they were doing and it was awesome. The food it was very nice, we had their special dish of lamb and it was delicious. The menus are on the table so it is easy to order if you wish any other favourite dishes as the food is very nice and the portions are generous. The ambience is calm and cosy that makes you feel good. I just can recommend this restaurant if you are in Lymington.

What an amazing experience . Lovely decor , really friendly & attentive staff. It was our best Indian dining experience to date! We also got a cake for my other half's bday which was a nice surprise. Don't hesitate to come here! I had railway lamb which was delicious and tender and partner had a korma /madras hot. We also tried tandoori mixed started which was amazing!! We shall return when next in the area thanks guys! :) Kat & Luke (Fareham)

I ate here with my parents a few days ago and the first thing we noticed were the large number of awards on the walls for best restaurant. When we ordered these were more than vindicated and this is honestly the best curry I've ever had. My only regret is I don't live nearby so I can't regularly come back! The staff were friendly, service was very quick, and I can't say enough about how delicious all of the food was. I can't recommend enough!
Hiemdiael — Google review
Beautiful décor and food was lovely (a little less spicy I would say than some of the equivalent dishes in West London). They served all 13 of us with ease and speed. Very helpful with the booking a week beforehand (we understandably put down a deposit which was taken off the bill). Ohh and they accept Amex
David C — Google review
The food and service was superb. We went here during our visit to the New forest. I absolutely loved the Lamb Fire cracker and the spice was spot on! Nice and tender meat and plenty of it (not left short). My partner had the Chicken Dhansak and again she said it was great. Many Indian restaurants out there but I got to say this one was outstanding and I wish it was my local.
Shahed A — Google review
Very busy place and obviously popular with the locals. Food good but two of our King Prawn dishes were slightly over cooked, which is a pity. Great flavours and sensibly priced drinks. Main gripe? Cheap frozen deserts AVOID!! Come on Rivaaz, you're better than this.
K22 M — Google review
Certainly not cheap but this is one restaurant where you 100% get what you pay for — and then some. To start with, service was incredible. The guys who waited on me were attentive, had great suggestions on what to order and were quick to clear the dishes when done. Food was great. A lot of traditional Indian dishes while also offering some original fusion recipes. Overall this is restaurant that stands out among the rest and is worth the money if you’re looking for nice meal and night out.

Came for dinner as recommended by a friend who lives in Lymington. Very tasty and flavoursome food in a clean and beautifully decorated restaurant. Staff was pleasant and helpful despite being very busy! I had the railway lamb which was delicious. Generous chunks of tender lamb with a bit of spice. My friends had the Chicken tikka and a chicken korma which they loved. I would definitely visit again and also recommend. Pre booking advised as there was limited timing slots when I tried booking in a day advance.

Nestled in the charming village of Brockenhurst, Albero Italian is a delightful haven for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. This quaint eatery boasts a cozy atmosphere where you can indulge in an array of handcrafted pizzas and pasta dishes, all made fresh on-site. The menu is extensive, featuring everything from small plates and salads to hearty mains like wild boar pappardelle and fresh gnocchi with sun-blushed tomato pesto.
Hi Guys, We had a fantastic trip with our friends in the New Forest Area. After, the long journey, we had to eat something. We just googled it 😉. Albero Italian had got lots good 5 stars… Definitely, this was the best what We could choose. Really, homey pizza dough, fresh ingredients, great atmosphere. If You are there, do not hesitate to pop in… 👍🏻 Thx! 🃏

Loved coming here! Amazing food, fresh, tasty and just yum yum! Good service, everyone was polite and timely. The only reason for 4* and not 5* is because I feel like we need sharper knives to cut the pizza ! As well as that, the table was wobbly and we did request someone to help fix it which she said she would but I think she was busy and forgot (which is totally understandable!!) she was lovely anyway. The chef was fantastic, the layout is an open kitchen/ pizza oven, he was polite and friendly and it was nice to see the cooking and prep in action!! 100% would come again:)

Second time back here. Loved it just as much as the first time. Delicious, clean, authentic food, lovely staff, and great atmosphere. Not cheap, but not expensive either. And I promise you the quality of the experience is easily worth it. Even our semi-fussy toddler gobbles up the food here! Will always come back anytime we're looking for a nice, relaxed enjoyable eat out.

I can honestly say this is the best pizza I’ve had in the UK in the last 15 years! Being Italian, I’m always a little picky when it comes to pizza – but the flavours, the freshness, and the quality of the ingredients here instantly took me back home. A big thank you to Angelo, the pizzaiolo, who put such care into making them. We tried the mozzarella pizza and the mozzarella DOP with buffalo mozzarella, and both were just incredible – exactly the way they’d taste if you were sitting in a little pizzeria in Italy. And the prices? Very fair, especially when you consider the freshness and quality you’re getting. Do yourself a favour and save room for dessert too – the tiramisu is divine. The staff are welcoming, the atmosphere feels just right, and the whole experience was simply perfect. Thank you to everyone there for giving me a little slice of Italy in the UK.

Came here whilst we were staying in the new forest for a break away on our mini moon and WOW! The food here is incredible my partner and I both had pasta dishes they were so fresh and packed full of flavour, amazing service and super tasty food!

Great spot all around, across food, service and ambience! We sat outside on a warm evening so the weather didn’t hurt. Pizza was really good and my partner had the carbonara which was also tutto biene. Was served by Matilda who was super attentive in a very relaxad manner throughout the evening 👍 So good that we’re gonna try to walk in tonight again 🙂

Delicious Italian food. This was our second visit after a number of years and the food and staff were as we remembered. Delicious and great (retrospectively of course!). Kids and adults both loved their food. Dog friendly for outside seating. We will be back again

Pizza restaurant
L'Osteria Southampton is a bustling and friendly restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere. The staff are welcoming and attentive, making the dining experience enjoyable. Watching the skilled bartenders craft cocktails at the bar adds to the excitement while waiting for a table. The highlight of this place is undoubtedly the amazing pizza, prepared in a pizza oven right before your eyes.
My partner and I love L’Osteria, the price and quality of the food exceeds expectations and the service is special. Whenever we visit southampton we always stop off at this lovely restaurant. They are usually very busy so would recommend reserving a table beforehand but they do always accommodate even if you don’t. The pizza is delicious and huge, definitely the place for pizza lovers! The team are great and always helpful when asking for certain requirements e.g removing items or adding. Thank you Team for an amazing dinning experience, each and every we visit!
Una O — Google review
I went to L’Osteria Southampton with friends and we had such a lovely experience! The service was friendly and attentive, and the wait for our food wasn’t too long at all. The pizzas were huge, delicious, and definitely worth the money. I also really appreciate how they take the time to reply to each and every review—it shows they genuinely care about their customers. A fantastic place I’d happily visit again!
Royal A — Google review
It was ok, the pizzas are large but go cold quick due to them being so thin. I don't really drink but it seemed a little over priced at nearly £7 a pint. When we visited we asked if we could be seated at a space near the door and the server told us it was closed off, but when we left other people were seated there. The table they put us on was quite grubby, whilst other tables looked nice and clean. It just seemed they put us out of the way. They also charge you a service charge which i think is wrong, unless this is normal for England. Over all, I personally wouldn't eat there again. Most of the restaurants on the West Quay centre seem to be over priced and seems to be busy with a lot of students from the nearby university.
Leon E — Google review
My family and I visited your restaurant for the first time recently. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. First of all, there was no information provided about the size of the pizzas, either on the menu or by the staff. We ordered two pizzas, one lasagna, and an appetizer — and it turned out to be far too much food. When we asked the waiter to pack the leftover pizza to take home, we were shocked by the way it was handled. Instead of properly packaging it, the waiter wrapped our food in a piece of paper — as if it were scraps for a dog. When I asked whether this was meant for us or for animals, the server unapologetically told us, “This is how we do it here.” Frankly, this is completely disrespectful and unacceptable for any restaurant that claims to provide quality service. Treating customers’ food in such a careless and degrading manner shows a total lack of professionalism. We expect a serious explanation for this behavior and clear improvements to your service standards. Otherwise, we will not be recommending your restaurant to anyone.
Rajab H — Google review
Lively atmosphere with upbebay music played at a reasonable volume, quick to be seated. Service speed okay, and coffee beautiful Pizza was absolutely huge, hung over the side of the plate, which did cause the cut of the pizza to not go through the crust so a little difficult to eat The Gnocchi was exquisite and will be coming back for more Overall a nice restaurant to dine in, reasonably priced with vegetarian, meat and fish options of pizza and pasta
May G — Google review
The food is so lovely, especially the pasta, but it is a shame that the manager (Eastern European lady with dark short hair) ruined my experience several times. When seating she always has a terrible attitude and is incredibly snappy? If you ask her for a different table she had no flexibility (80% of the restaurant was empty). Just bad vibes.
Sonny — Google review
A large pizza/pasta restaurant located in West Quay just by the old Walls & Paddington! Plenty of pay parking nearby, we had arrived on a bus! We arrived without a booking & were told that if we wait at the bar they would do their best to accommodate the three of us. We ordered drinks & within 15mins we were seated. Great value, my pizza was massive & I only just finished it all! The bill includes a service charge & the friendly staff deserved it, they were busy.
A G — Google review
That was one of the best decisions I made during our trip to Southampton. It was my fiancé’s birthday 🎈 and the team made it absolutely perfect and so special. Huge pizza + birthday treat - music ♥️ A huge THANK YOU 🙏 to Katja, who served us like a true professional — so warm, attentive, and just absolutely lovely 🥰. Thank you, Katja. I’m truly glad you were the one taking care of us! Marta

The menu features mouth-watering desserts like Sticky Toffee Pudding and Caramel Apple Betty. Customers have enjoyed the lunchtime deals and Premier Inn meal packages for dinner and breakfast. While some experienced slow service during lunch, others found the staff to be lovely and polite, providing excellent service even on special occasions like birthdays.

I was so pleased with this restaurant. Went in with low expectations, but they were smashed. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. There's a brilliant range on the menu with something for everyone, especially vegetarians. The restaurant was clean and well presented, especially considering that it had been a busy Father's Day, and we went in the early evening. Our food came really quickly and was very tasty as well as prepared to a good standard. The serving size was great, especially the fish and chips. The prices are good and there's plenty of parking.

August 2025 Early evening meal Not very busy on our arrival, but soon began to fill. Very good menu. We had very good service. The food main courses and desserts were very good and enjoyable. Very good early evening visit. Lunchtime menu includes a two for one deal. Good varied menu and a children's menu is also available. Very good staff Another visit to to restaurant, earlier visit I gave it THREE stars Today's visit seven months later than our previous visit. Very disappointing, Entered restaurant nobody available until a delay of a few minutes to take us to a table. Then a long delay for our drinks order. A few more minutes food order taken. Delay in the arrival of our meals. You may accept this service if the restaurant was extremely busy, this was not the case. If I was generous the restaurant was a quarter full. Not enough staff on duty. New rating only ONE star. This standard would be really disappointing for anybody staying at the Premier Inn.

Jody and the team are very friendly. I’m staying in the hotel here most weeks with work. Food is to a good quality and portion sizes are generous. Service is efficient and staff give a warm welcome. Good selection of draught Beers and Ciders. Menus change relatively frequently. It’s a clean space and live sports are available. Jody, Abby, Thea, Mikey and Dave are a credit to the team.

We were a booked table of three. We arrived at 18:21 for 18:30 table. Drinks service very good. Only main meals were ordered by 18:50. The meals took ages, although the Pub was not full. Then trying to get serverd for 3 puddings took a while. We eventually ordered 3 puddings at 20:00hrs. Two ice-cream Sundays and a Cholate Fudgecake. By 20:26 I went to cancel this order, but as I returned the two ice cream Sundays arrived. Unfortunately, they didn’t resemble the pne pictured in the Menu, so we asked to send them back and pay the bill. This was totally the reverse of our experience the week before!

Tragically "mid" the food didnt taste bad but jesus anything with batter was not burnt but well done. The dessert was alright, the wife has the gherkins out my burger and responded with "Worse gherkins ive ever had" i think she was being a bit dramatic but she is an avid pickle/gherkin fan.

This restaurant has a relaxed and modern atmosphere, offering a variety of Italian dishes such as pizza, pasta, and other classic favorites. If you are looking to start your culinary journey with traditional Italian and European cuisine, Enzee is the perfect place for you.
Had such a lovely meal, olives and arancini for starter, followed by the best lasagne and pizza. Staff were very nice and boxed up the rest of my main so I could have dessert - honey and lemon cheesecake which was one of the best I’ve ever had. The tiramisu was also very light and tasty! Didn’t feel rushed but staff were very well timed with taking our order and food being bought out. Had heat lamps in the conservatory area so we were nice and warm, really liked the fairy lights.

We visited this evening while staying locally at Carey's Manor, and we stumbled upon this charming Italian restaurant after leaving a few local pubs due to their lack of service and unpleasant atmosphere. What a find this was! The food was incredibly fresh, and you could tell everything was made with care. We started with bruschetta and burrata, both beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For mains, we enjoyed delicious pasta dishes, perfectly cooked and topped with just the right amount of cheese. And, of course, we couldn’t resist dessert! The service was just as good as the food. Our waitress was lovely, attentive, and happy to recommend dishes. It made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian food in the area!

What a wonderful authentic Italian restaurant! Great selection of vegan options for my wife! She had the spaghetti aglio e olio which was super tasty and I had a meat pizza which had really high quality toppings. We were so impressed! It took a little while to get seated and get a table but they were fairly busy. We recommend you book. There was music but it was very much in the background. The building was nice and felt like it had a lot of history. We highly recommend this restaurant!

My overall experience here was excellent! I came with my husband for dessert, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The food was sumptuous and the pairings were perfect. Presentation was beautiful too. This cute Italian restaurant is the perfect place to spend some quality time with family or friends! ❤️

Would love to give a better review but service here is non existent. We arrived for breakfast, restaurant not busy only 7 or 8 tables occupied. Seated quickly and given menus then ignored like all of the others in the restaurant. One staff member was focused on the pot plants two others seemed to be cleaning. We waited over 10 minutes and saw no interaction with any of the other customers despite them trying to get the attention of staff. We left. It was a pity because the menu looked interesting and we would have liked to have eaten there.

No particular reason we popped in here for breakfast, but so glad we did. What a lovely place and the waiter was friendly and engaging. Excellent food, the traditional breakfast (with scrambled eggs) was delicious. Great coffee too. What a great way to kick off the day. 👌

Service was quick at first. Told the waiters I had a nut allergy straight away. Mains came out swiftly. My family had given them a cake and some candles when we first got it as it was my birthday, telling them this is for our dessert. When mains were over, the staff kept asking if we wanted dessert. I guess they had not communicated our cake to the other waiters. Eventually we got the cake but there were no candles! And on top of that, there was some fruit decoration on the side, with pistachio paste? When I had already informed them of my nut allergy. Overall, service was not the best. Food was okay.

We had a meal here after visiting the boat show. We had not booked, we were promptly shown to a table. The service was prompt and friendly. The 241 cocktails were good value. We enjoyed the prancing, focaccia, ravioli and penne giardiniera. The ravioli tasted good, but the sauce was a bit watery. The restaurant in situated in a shopping centre and was clean and well presented.

We have been to Carluccios, Southampton on many occasions and have always had a lovely meal with friendly staff. HOWEVER……today I went with my daughter and two grandchildren. We were seated quickly and given menus……then there was no service!!!! The children were hungry and still no service. Finally someone came over and told us that there was no children’s menu (contrary to the website) and we could only order small versions of adult meals (which we did). Apparently no children’s drinks either so our 2 yr old was given a “glass” of orange juice. When the food arrived it was cold and the pizza was VERY poor quality. The whole meal was terrible and the service was non existent. I had to go to the desk to pay and complain as no one came to the table. I was offered the meal for free but I don’t feel like that was enough compensation for what was a truly miserable experience. Come on Carluccios!! Please sort this out so that people can enjoy eating in your restaurants again.

Prezzo Italian Restaurant in Ringwood is a popular casual chain known for its stone-baked pizzas, classic pastas, and separate kids' menu. With over 150 branches across the country, this affordable restaurant has become a high street fixture. Located at the edge of the New Forest with great sea views, it offers impressive coastal walks overlooking The Needles for post-lunch strolls. Despite being well-known throughout Britain, this Prezzo location remains a favorite among visitors in Ringwood.
Just sampled the delicious Christmas pizza, which was up to Venetian standards, and my husband had the Christmas carbonara that he said was top marks. Excellent service from Lana and a lovely vibe to the place. Thank you, we’ll be back!

Promotion evening so they did so well. We were the last sitting. Must have been so stressful for them. Went large on the pizza's, a different shape but didn't appear any bigger than the standard size so not worth the extra £3 per pizza. Lacking in cheese & knives so blunt you ended up ripping the pizza apart which was a shame. Extremely thin bases on pizza's and Garlic Bread with cheese. Lovely staff.

Food was great so were the drinks our service was amazing as soon as we walked in got greater and token to a table upstairs then our server came over (Jess) who was amazing and was very observant and catered for all our needs

Restaurant / room looks nice, well decorated and clean. The service was pleasant but so slow ! Ordered the meat lover pizza but felt it was short on actual "meat" then ordered the famous tiramisu but looks a lot better on photo on the menu with all the flakes than what you actually get. It felt a little bit short for £8.95. (See photo on my review) . Im debating whether its worth going if you fancy a pizza.

We had probably the best meal we have ever had at prezzo! The food was all very good portions with lots of prawns in the pasta dishes and lots of flavour and lovely and hot Our waiter was miserable and made us feel quite uncomfortable. He just generally seemed like he didn’t want to be there and didn’t make us feel very welcome Because of this we decided not to tip so pressed the no tip button on the till however got home to find 15% had been added without our permission I would please like a contact from customer services about this as we are not happy about it and wanted to complain

Gluten free menu - could do with more variety now. Especially deserts where only the choc fudge cake is gluten free and it’s sickly sweet. Used to do a really lovely honeycomb cheesecake and lovely chocolate almond cake both were delicious and gluten free. Also used to love the salmon and cucumber starter which is no longer on the menu. Obviously without the bread. Just need good food but not always so stodgy! now really struggle to find something I want to eat. Want to carry on supporting Prezzo however really need more variety on the gluten free menu.

Visited of an evening for the pre Christmas special offer and had an enjoyable meal for just under £17 for two people. We chose one pizza and one carbonara. Both were enjoyable and excellent value for the offer paid. The pizza didn't have a huge amount of toppings on it so was a little more tasting like a margarita pizza. But the carbonara was delicious. Drinks as usual overpriced but that is to be expected. Overall a nice evening.

We called with my 10-year-old grandson to try out the Christmas Menu. We had two pizzas and a pasta, and my grandson summed it up perfectly when he said, "the chefs done good". An enjoyable meal and we will return over the festive period.

Nestled in the charming village of Ringwood, Lovitaly stands out as a delightful Italian restaurant, café, and deli that also boasts a fully licensed wine bar. This hidden gem may appear modest from the outside, but stepping inside reveals an authentic taste of Italy. With an extensive menu featuring gluten-free options across starters, mains, and desserts, there's something for everyone to savor. The generous portions and genuine flavors make each dining experience memorable.
Meals were outstanding. Will definitely return in the near future. Only gripe was the amount of olive oil/balsamic vinegar wasn't enough for all the bread we had.

I really enjoyed my mussels and pasta! A bit of feedback would be to serve the mozzarella with better tomatoes - even in winter in the U.K. one can get ones with some flavour ☺️

Having walked the streets of the beautiful village of Ringwood, many times, had coffee and eaten in almost every place, I have no idea, how I missed this little spot! Insignificant from the outside, but step inside and you will be treated to a taste of Italy! You know from the moment you walk through the door, that this will be a good experience! Clean, authentic, genuine Italian business with Artisan food and wines to showcase Italy’s beautiful produce. Having not eaten there before, I opted for the dish of the day which was a safe bet. A beautiful pear and pecorino ravioli. A simple, humble dish, what could go wrong? Well, absolutely nothing! In fact, all my expectations were exceeded and left me yearning for a next visit. Super little place, great atmosphere, really good food and lots of goodies to treat yourself to enjoy at home. Melt in the mouth pasta, bursting with flavour. Simple ingredients where the produce is respected and the food speaks for itself. Great for lunch, I am sure dinner is just as good and with some great quality wines, specialist collections, you can’t go too far wrong.

Went there a couple of time and both times the food was fantastic. The first time I had pizza and it was delicious. I also went for the Tuscan event as I was excited to eat the food from my home region. The food was authentic and well executed, each dish was paired to a glass of wine. The wine was well reasearched and came from top producers in Tuscany. They remain true to authentic Italian food and the quality of the food is great.

We ate there two weeks ago , I had a Lasagna it was delicious, went back last week , I ordered the same … just terrible , no meat in it no Sauce all cheap pasta , the salad ( on the menu rocket with Parmesan cheese ) came scruffy looking with Parmesan tasting crisps on it ! I asked for Olive oil the Owner shouted: is in it , it wasn’t! I left half of the Lasagna told the Owner how terrible and disappointing it was , she said … I don’t know what’s happened and left the food sat in front of of me ! No refund , no offers for desert, coffee or anything absolutely disgusting! We left and will never go back !

Been a while since I’ve been into a Prezzo so went out for a dinner, the price was still as decent as I remembered and that was nice, the food was great and the atmosphere was nice went around 6:30pm and wasn’t to busy so could talk easily. Our server Oscar was a star very friendly and came round quickly getting us whatever we needed all in all it was a great experience and hope to have it continue like this

Arrived for lunch and was seated straight away. The menus were clearly explained. Drinks and Olives arrived promptly. Then 10 minutes later, mains arrived. Roasted Duck Bolognese Pappardelle was amazing. As was the Chicken, Mushroom & Garlic Rigatoni. Both very generous portions. I can highly recommend both and the Caramel Macchiato Sundae. Try it with the Espresso shot and Baileys shot - heaven. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Surroundings were clean and well presented.

Italian restaurant
Zizzi in Southampton is a popular Italian chain restaurant known for its delicious pizza, calzone, and traditional pastas. The restaurant offers a variety of vegan options and has extensive menus for vegetarians and those with gluten sensitivities. Customers can enjoy dishes like Bruschetta, Calamari, Rustica Wagyu Royal, and Prawn Piccante. The outdoor seating provides a pleasant atmosphere to savor the food.
It's so rare to be able to have a limited edition item on a menu that is also gluten free that this meal would be a win just from that but everything was delicious. The crab arancini balls were lovely and crispy and cheesy, even if the lemon accompaniment was obscenely large in comparison, and the pasta was rich and worth the price. I appreciated the additional table decorations to indicate my allergy to the staff for safety reasons whilst also still being aesthetically pleasing. Great food, great service and great value with regular special offers! Always a help in January!

Food and Drinks were amazing. Staff are super friendly! Only issue we had was being sat next to a large group with children which made the whole experience loud and less enjoyable. Still 5 stars as not the companies fault. Shout out to Angharad our waitress who was so lovely the entire time we were there :)

Thank you to the staff for a great experience

TLDR.. Great service, lovely veggie options and well catered to gluten allergies and clean toilets, drinks a bit pricey. Great restaurant, we received the kind of service your expect from a non chain local Italian restaurant, primarily a meat eater I tried a veggie dinner for a change, I went with the set menu (starter main and dessert)... Vegan starter, and veggie main and dessert. All tasty and well presented. My partner and I had 4 alcoholic drinks all very nice, the one critisizm which I have (like many places) drinks are expensive but it's expected to be honest. My partner is gluten intolerant but they took the intolerance seriously, the same as a serious allergy, her menu options were great and plenty, surprisingly better here at an Italian than most other places! We didn't feel like we waited too long for any course and were asked each time of we were ready for the next. The toilets were clean and stocked, smelled clean too which is always a positive, can't speak for the ladies though. Staff were tentative and talkative. Making sure we were happy and comfortable. 2 large tables attending but nothing crazy happening so all under control... As a whole a very nice atmosphere, we enjoyed our dinner date.

Lovely evening meal. 3 vegans happily fed, + 1 omnivore so completely full and satisfied. Had the Raspberry Collins vegan cheesecake - the best!! Enjoyed the aubergine meatball rustic pizza. Had the rainbow lasagna ordered as well, really tasty.

First time visiting Zizzi in Southampton and it was a very nice experience. We were offered a choice of where to sit (it wasn't busy when we arrived) and were given a little time to peruse the menu. Angharad took our order after a little chat about food choices. The drinks came quickly and the starters followed soon after. The Chorizo and Mozzarella Bombe was lovely as was the Mushroom Brindisi. The mains were so good. We had the 2 Carbonaras and were very impressed. Puddings of Dragon Fruit and Strawberry Sundae and the Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownie were the perfect end to a lovely meal. The staff were all very friendly and coped well as it got a lot busier. Angharad was very polite and friendly and we had a nice chat with her at the end of our meal. Would thoroughly recommend a visit if you're in the city and enjoy Italian food done well at a good price

I had a fantastic experience at Zizzi Southampton! The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavour, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. A special mention goes to Kamran and Letty, who really made the visit extra special. Their service was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout — they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It’s always such a pleasure to be looked after by people who clearly care about their guests. I’ll definitely be coming back soon — highly recommend Zizzi Southampton for both the food and the amazing service!

Italian restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant city center, Franco Manca Southampton is a must-visit for pizza lovers. This charming eatery specializes in crafting delicious sourdough pizzas made fresh to order, featuring seasonal toppings that cater to all dietary preferences, including gluten-free and various vegetarian or vegan options. With inviting outdoor seating that offers lovely views of the quays, it’s an ideal spot for enjoying a leisurely meal with friends on a sunny afternoon.
I recently stopped for dinner at Franco Manca Southampton while they were running their incredible £5 pizza offer in January. The restaurant was packed and fully booked inside, but although it was January, we opted to sit outside under the heaters which was surprisingly warm. The food was excellent as always, with everything fresh and full of flavour. I love their vegetarian sharing board to start, which has so many delicious elements. For my main course, I chose the Italian smoked beef and mozzarella pizza, which was absolutely incredible. The service was friendly and attentive, and with the deal, the value was astounding. Franco Manca is my favourite chain, as they seem to genuinely care about flavour and good food compared to others.

Incredible Napoli style pizza with a chewy base and a selection of amazing sauces such as pesto, caccio e peppe, garlic and great Prosecco. Work highly recommend due to the lovely local atmosphere that feels like a homely evening. Very cosy restaurant and great service. Grazie Mille.

Amazing freshly made sourdough pizza. The is one of the best pizzas I have had, the toppings were high quality and tasted so fresh. Great little place inside, very well decorated and modern and very good price, £13.50 my pizza. Great service, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend a visit. We were staying overnight before a cruise, if we do it again we would definitely go back here.
Wellbeing R — Google review
We usually visit Franco Manca chains across the UK and were hopeful to see one in Southampton. We arrived without a booking and were ignored for a few minutes by the staff. Once we had got their attention we were quickly shown to a table outside which was clean. It took us around 5 minutes to decide what we wanted to eat and the server approached us 15 minutes later. We had ordered a bottle of wine with the request of ice on the side. The server pointed out that the bottle was already cold and we did not need the ice. After asking again for the ice, he said he would check if they had ice, something which is a bit concerning coming from an establishment serving drinks and food. We ordered pizza no.2 and no.8 with the request of a spicy dip on the side. We were extremely happy with quality and speed of the food but our dip did not come with the food. We asked our server about 3 times where the dip was and he replied saying it was on the way. Unfortunately, we never received the dip which left us feeling annoyed that we were misled. The service on the 31st of May was one of chaos and disorganisation despite the restaurant not being entirely full of customers. The food was amazing but I would not return to this specific restaurant again as there was no effort to rectify the situation. Funnily enough the service charge was still on the bill which surprised us even more. Please do better!
Una O — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous pizza, one of the best I've had outside of Italy! Exactly how it should be, thin, soft base, fluffy & slightly burnt crust, with beautifully flavoursome tomato base. I had the scotch bonnet dip, which did not disappoint! If you like spicy, this is what you want with your pizza! Was working in the area, staying overnight & very glad I chose to come here! Despite not being 'a name', the cider was lovely & refreshing, too. The staff were very friendly, only reason it got marked down a star was thay I must have been sat for nearly 10 minutes waiting to pay, and it was pretty quiet. It was a pleasant evening, so I sat outside & it was very relaxing! Would definitely visit again & look for Franco Manca wherever I am looking to eat!

A fantastic branch of this chain, food was cooked fantastically and the staff where so friendly, if your new to the Franco world this is amazing Italian food and pizza so fresh with so many tasty ingredients that are so fresh at quite decent prices. Great to see them expand the menu into new options the bruschetta is lovely.

We had the smoked beef pizza and black truffle burrata pizza 🍕—both were insanely good. No regrets, just pure pizza happiness! And wow...one bite and you just get that real Neapolitan pizza vibe 🇮🇹. The truffle burrata pizza has a rich truffle aroma and a creamy, milky burrata flavor. The Italian smoked beef pizza has a generous amount of beef, delivering a rich, savory flavor, but the rocket leaves add a refreshing balance. The sourdough base is something else—chewy, crispy on the outside, soft inside. So different from regular pizza, and honestly? I’m obsessed. The homemade orange juice is refreshingly sweet and tangy. The restaurant has a great atmosphere—cozy and comforting, and the service is really nice too. Definitely coming back!

What a delicious experience! The lady from the Airbnb has recommended us this place for breakfast and obviously we had our doubts. I'm glad we believed her! It's a tiny place but its flavour is great. I didn't have enough stomach for eating the full menu, or the pastries bar. The people were so helpful and kind. Totally recommend by the lady and from now on by me as well.

The Retreat is a quaint, inviting cafe and definitely a must visit in Brockenhurst if you fancy a delicious breakfast! We opted for the large English breakfast which arrived on a warm plate, clearly cooked to order (a rarity) and was presented beautifully! Excellent produce, from the golden yolk eggs, to the sausages and bacon from their local butchers. The baked hash browns were fluffy and mourish, all washed down with a cuppa! Great selection of homemade cakes- unfortunately we didn’t get to try any as we were full but looking forward to next time! Fleur and Paul were incredibly welcoming and attentive, you can see how much effort and love they both have put into their lovely cafe! They make a great team 🫖🍰🍳🥓☕️

Lovely little cafe. We sought refuge from the rain here and got a hot drink. The hot chocolates we ordered were lovely, and the service was also great. Very friendly bunch working here. Didn’t get a chance to try food here as we had already had lunch but the food menu looked good and the cakes also looked very appealing. Also bought some jars of locally made jams here as gifts.

Very nice cafe in Brockenhurst. We went for a breakfast and they had a wide range of breakfast options available. I had the full English and my wife had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Both were very good quality and good portions too. Looks like they have some good lunch options too, so next time I'll try that. The homemade cakes and sweet treats look very good too, so definitely one to try in the future. Lovely service here and good baby changing facilities too. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.
