Restaurant
Konoba Scala Santa is a popular restaurant situated in the heart of the ancient city of Kotor. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining areas, with the indoor section featuring an intriguing pirate ship decor. Known for its incredibly fresh and unbeatable fish dishes, it's recommended to try the double platter when unsure what to order. This dish often showcases the chef's specialty creations, such as tuna and salmon plates.
This is not just a restaurant, it’s a place full of stories, where you feel as if you’ve been transported back in time. The atmosphere is magical, soft background music, and delicious food. The staff are extremely kind and always smiling. It was difficult to find a free table, but it was absolutely worth the wait.

What a lovely cozy spot this restaurant is. This was the best dining experience that we had. Would highly recommend sitting inside if it’s cooler outside (gets a little warm in there). Felt as if we entered an old ship. Fantastic service from our waiter who has worked there for seemingly decades. I ordered the spicy beef pasta and it blew my expectations out of the water. Highly recommend.
Zach J — Google review
I saw so many good reviews about the place that I went there with high hopes, but the food was 4/10. The fried squid was served cold and they said that comes with boiled potatoes but actually it’s a spinach so cooked that’s looks like a paste with small bits of potatoes - I didn’t eat. The risotto was nice and the appetizers were ok. So if you’re thinking about visiting it, just get wine and an appetizer and enjoy the atmosphere, because the atmosphere is definitely 10/10.
Zilá M — Google review
Amazing restaurant to try seafood in the old town of Kotor. The mussels and clams were tasty. The seabass and grilled squid were fresh and prepared very well. The draft beer is crisp and refreshing. Staff were nice. The place also has a nice view of a picturesque small square if you manage to sit outside. Prices are kind of expected because Kotor is overrun by expensive touristy places.
Nima S — Google review
Wonderful restaurant with amazing food We got the fish platter and the fried shrimps as an appetizer. Although it was more then a little pricey, and the appetizer portion could have been a little bigger, we loved it The hostess was lovely and waiters did a great job. Very good service and tasty food overall We had a great time there
Lior K — Google review
You need a reservation if you gonna have lunch or dinner here so check their instagram page to find the reservation website. The food was okay. I loved the mushroom soup but overall the food was a little bit saltier and oily than I got used to eat. The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing so I recommend you to sit inside if there are any available tables.
Ayşe K — Google review
I had two seafood starters and a beef pasta — everything was incredibly tasty and full of flavor. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the pasta was rich and comforting. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, giving great recommendations that made the meal even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Montenegro and want authentic, delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere!
Maite B — Google review
I think it might be the best meal we've ever had. They didn't have a seat outside so we sat inside but the atmosphere inside was absolutely amazing. They work by reservation and they are full on the later dates so you need to act a little early for reservation. I highly recommend it. Come to Kotor old town and don't leave without eating here.

Pescaria Dekaderon is a seafood restaurant in Kotor, Montenegro with really attentive service. You can try some lighter fare options here to change it up from your regular meat and potatoes meal. Highlights include the tuna tataki dish and local red wine. There's also cheese on offer which may or may not have shared a nibble with a cat!
Branislav was my server and he was fantastic, very helpful and attentive throughout my meal. The food was excellent tried the local cacao and the ambience in Restaurant Square made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We were a group of 20 at the restaurant. Bojan's service was impeccable. He was super attentive and kind to our group. The food was MAGNIFICENT; the fish arrived exactly as we ordered. Everything was perfect. The place was wonderful.
Neide F — Google review
Branislav was our waiter and he was amazing going above and beyond and explaining all the local foods and flavors. The calamari was hands down the best I have ever had. Absolutely amazing!
Robyn S — Google review
Amazing place! Service, food and atmosphere all outstanding. Son had the clam spaghetti and said it was the best meal ever. They even have beautiful vegan options! Manager Branislav was absolutely brilliant! We’ll definitely be returning. 🤌
Hannah M — Google review
Fantastic Meal, we had the meat and cheese platter for 2 and the seafood platter for 2 as recommended by our waiter Bojan, we tried all the delicacies of Montenegro and it was sensational. Service was excellent, friendly, polite and prompt as well as so personable. We loved it here and will certainly come back when we visit Kotor next time!
Julia H — Google review
Stopped here for breakfast in old town Kotor and it did not disappoint. We tried two traditional Montenegro dishes: Montenegro pie with cheese and prosciutto & Przenice (Eggy bread with advar, feta and prosciutto). Both were very good!
Paula W — Google review
We had a great experience today! A waiter nice guy Bojan has advised us a seafood platter which turned out to be the best squid and shrimps experience we have ever had! For sea lovers definitely a must visit!

Having a lovely time here eating the Montenegro Pie and Eggy bread (french toast) with prosciutto, recommended by Milan as I was having a tough time deciding what to eat. Came here because to try the stuffed calamari but it wasn’t available until breakfast is over. Service is good and ambience is nice and chill. Perfect spot to relax and have a decent meal.

Restobar Taraca is a popular spot in Kotor, Montenegro, known for its delicious smoothies and sandwiches. It's frequented by both tourists and locals, which is always a good sign. The restaurant has garnered positive reviews and is listed among the top dining options in the area. Additionally, it caters to vegetarians with a selection of plant-based dishes.
Great experience in this restaurant. Wide choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The dishes are delicious. The service is fast and the staff very friendly. Special mention for the barmaid's wonderful cocktails (especially the liquid marijuana)!

Everything is perfect, the place, the atmosphere, the food is fantastic, the service is amazing, the prices are good. It's great during the day and during the night. The burgers are amazing, even made a person that doesn't eat beef eat a beef burger. 100% recommended
Nadja D — Google review
Falafel Buddha bowl was amazing, as a vegetarian there were lots of good options! My partner has the Taraca burger too which he enjoyed and really liked the BBQ sauce. Good location and looking out on the water. Can pay by card too.
Rebecca D — Google review
Place is very beautiful, next to the water so nice view of ducks. Good design. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Some dishes are really good like the curry and the vegetarian pasta, but the buddha bowl for example is very expensive and not worth the price. Meals are good but a little small.
Omer M — Google review
I went to this place with my family on my trip to kotor. Good location and definitely a great variety on the menu to choose from but to be honest , didn’t meet my expectations. Food definitely looked good and colorful but was quite bland at taste. Surely not for my palate. Salt was lacking in most of the things that we ordered. I came here based on google reviews but it didn’t meet the hype in my eyes. Location is good and so is the vibe of the place . Service wasn’t too bad either but the food was just okay . We ordered Buddha bowl , vegan curry , banana smoothie, soup and chicken noodles . Soup and the Chicken noodles were the best out of all that we ordered. In short , not impressed .
Puja S — Google review
We were just about to start the walk up to Kotor Bay view , which we knew was going to be a good three or four hours walk up. We accidentally stumbled across this restaurant and it was the one of the best ‘restaurant finds’ that we had done on that trip . The manager, and the staff, welcomed us into their restaurant like no other restaurant in Montenegro had done up to that point. (they even allowed us to join two tables and rotate them at 90° so that all seven of us could sit around) The decoration was old Yugoslavian style, and modern, but very comfortable The hospitality was so amazingly warm and inclusive. We started our meal with a lovely tossed salad , which strangely I partnered with an ice cold Moscow Mule ( don’t ask me why), followed by a black breaded burger. Do not be put off by their name of the black bread bun, because this was the most amazingly moist, and tender burger I’ve had A truly positive experience - that by the time we had completed our Climb, we decided to come back into the Citadel city, and left the restaurant that we were eating it to come back to Taraca Lunch and dinner at the same restaurant !! it has been a very long time since I did that The price was very reasonable, but we ended up eating far too much.
Jazz J — Google review
One of my favorite places in the Balkans! Such a unique place. Food was super delicious, so many tasty dishes and location is great as well. Waiters were very kind and attentive. Highly recommend!
ЛанчеМи — Google review
A welcome change from the endless pizza, pasta and fish with chard and potatoes on offer across Montenegro. We sat on the terrace and while there are good views of the city walls up the mountain, the primary school is first and foremost in view. DH had steak which was cooked well, and I had a falafel bowl. Food was tasty.

Nestled in a charming side street of Kotor's old town, restaurant PRŽUN is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. With its intimate ambiance and focus on traditional cuisine, this eatery showcases seasonal ingredients and time-honored recipes that have been refined over generations. Signature dishes like Njeguski prsut paired with cheese, succulent roasted veal shank, and flavorful seafood brodet are just a few highlights from their menu.
We dined at this charming restaurant on a rainy, cold night and were delighted! Despite the weather, the outdoor seating was cozy, complete with heating and blankets that made for a lovely atmosphere. Every dish is homemade, from the grilled fish and gnocchi to the fantastic beef steak we enjoyed. The homemade limoncello at the end was a perfect touch. The service was friendly and warm.
Tali T — Google review
A great little spot in the old town. Wait staff were very knowledgeable about the menu (I have allergies) and were very attentive when serving us. The bathrooms were lush. All the food we ate were delicious, good value and a decent size.
Naomi H — Google review
We ordered the cheese platter and a prosciutto platter to start, but unfortunately neither lived up to expectations, the cheese wasn’t great and the prosciutto was dry, as if it had been sitting out for a while. We then tried the oxtail gnocchi, which arrived cold and the gnocchi was chewy, so we couldn’t eat much of it. For the price, this was very disappointing. On the positive side, the waiter was excellent and the owner was very friendly when we raised our concerns. They offered to remake the dish or give us a complimentary drink, but we declined as the experience had already left us disappointed. For what we paid, the quality just wasn’t there.
Daniel F — Google review
We happened to drop by this place for a beer and a snack. Owner was super friendly. Beer, Niksicko, was tasty and cold. We had the cheese platter and beef prosciutto platter. Delicious! Thanks for a lovely meal!
Andy W — Google review
We visit Kotor every year and came to Pržun for dinner around 7 PM—we were the first guests, but by 8 PM the place was very busy. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We had a bottle of the house wine, which was just right for a warm summer evening. We ordered the seafood risotto and the seafood carbonara—both dishes were outstanding, fresh, and full of flavor. One of the waiters told us that the restaurant is named after the old prison located right next to it, which gives the place a nice historical touch. I honestly can't understand the few negative reviews—our experience was excellent, with great food and lovely service.
Lukas O — Google review
We arrived in the afternoon in Kotor and after a while went out for lunch. We hanged around and came up to this Restaurant PRŽUN. They have a 20% discount for 16^00-17^30 time and we were there at 16:00 sharp, lucky we are ) We were the only customers, so we quickly made order and waited for about 15minutes. We had octopus soup, 2 pastas, green salad and 4 drinks. Total we paid 69EUROs, with 20% discount. The soup I ordered turned out to be a cream coup as there was broth only served with crackers. Overall, it was OK. I liked the olive pasta, it was good. The service is pretty fast.
Shukhrat U — Google review
The terrace is beautiful, but the food was a huge letdown. Out pasta (4 of us ordered either spaghetti con vongole or Seafood pasta) was overcooked and tasteless and served with a raw, flavorless tomato sauce — easily the worst meal of our holiday. Such a disappointment given the lovely setting.
Alessia — Google review
We had a lovely time here with a big group of friends. Fish, steak, and homemade limoncello were highlights, but the service and energy of the delightful staff were the most memorable part. Hvala!!

Restoran Atrium is a hidden gem located in a small alley in the Old Town, offering a luxurious and secret garden ambiance. With a giant greenhouse-like skylight, velvet couches, candlelight, and abundant greenery, it provides an enchanting dining experience. The restaurant's lush courtyard and ancient stone arches add to its aesthetic appeal. The menu features a fusion of Eastern flavors with fresh Adriatic ingredients, offering new interpretations of local produce.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The flavors are exquisite, showcasing a wonderful depth that keeps you coming back for more. The quality of the ingredients is evident in every dish, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Additionally, the service is impeccable, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal!

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service is very friendly. It’s already our second time dining here, and we’re just as impressed. The menu is huge and diverse — we tried meat dishes, sushi, and seafood, and everything was truly delicious. Definitely a restaurant we’ll keep coming back to!
Anna S — Google review
Tucked away up a flight of stone steps in Kotor’s Old Town, Atrium opens into a gorgeous courtyard with stone floors and walls that feel both historic and timeless. The setting is intimate and atmospheric, perfect for a mid-day break from exploring the winding streets. We ordered a bottle of Croatian wine and enjoyed what turned out to be one of the best seafood meals of our trip. My wife had mussels served in a blue cheese sauce that was so good she cleaned the bowl with bread. I had octopus with a dollop of thick ink sauce, tender, flavorful, and easily the best I’ve ever tasted. Every bite showed why Kotor is so well known for its seafood. To finish, we tried a digestif of Amaro Montenegro, a local herbal liqueur with a bitter finish that balanced the richness of the meal. A must-try if you want to experience something distinctively regional. The service was warm, the setting beautiful, and the food outstanding. What a find! Atrium is a place I strongly recommend if you’re visiting Kotor.
Joseph P — Google review
Really good high quality food. Beautiful romantic place and very nice service. Not much more expensive compared to other restaurants in Kotor Old town but you get much better and exquisite food. Great experience!
Maik W — Google review
This was the best dining experience I’ve had in Montenegro. The place itself is so welcoming and special with the atrium that has a glass ceiling and is partly open. To find the place, you have to go up some stairs into the atrium. We loved that we were sitting away from the crowds in this secluded space. The dishes were very refined and special with high quality ingredients. The dishes all tasted quite different and were very special. The only thing I will say is that I can’t really recommend the cocktails for the price. The presentation is really nice but the Yuzu Dream Cocktail I had was just very sweet and tasted nothing like Yuzu. They have very good beer though! Lastly, the waiter was incredibly friendly and professional. We came here twice!
Saskia M — Google review
Beautiful restaurant in a former Franciscan monastery’s covered courtyard from 1695! We loved the tuna tartar, whole grilled sea bass, and the farmers salad. Grilled fish is often dry, but this sea bass was not at all. They did a great job of removing the bones, too. Highly recommend
Scott K — Google review
I just recalled my visit to Atrium when I chatted with friends about awful dining experiences when traveling. Visited back in Oct 2024 as a couple, the 2 starters weren’t served at the same time - one came probably 10 minutes before the other. And the mains came when my wife was still having the late starter. The manager almost knocked over my wife’s drink when taking away the dishes. And after asked for the bill, a waitress came simply handing over a card machine without saying a word, probably she thought that look cool, until I told her that the bill had never been presented. Oh yea, we were forbidden to have a table at the courtyard, even most of the tables were never seated for the entire evening.
Kenneth L — Google review
We took oven baked Camembert at the entrance which was excellent, then mussel with blue cheese that was in my opinion overcooked , with chicken schnitzel which was lacking more of the blue cheese sauce. Excellent desserts : fondant and passion fruit crème brûlée. Very good service thank you ! Overall a bit overpriced but we enjoyed

Caffe del Mare is a must-visit dining destination in Kotor, perfectly situated along the picturesque waterfront walkway. This delightful restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere that blends elegance with a laid-back vibe, making it ideal for enjoying fresh seafood. Opt for a table on the charming seaside terrace to relish stunning harbor views while savoring delectable dishes such as black risotto, fried calamari, crab ravioli, and whole-grilled fish.
We ate here twice during our stay in Kotor, the location is perfect and a lovely view of the bay. We had the steak which was cooked to our desired level and was well seasoned and came with a very tasteful side. The choice of wines by the glass is slightly limited. The waiter was extremely friendly and remembered us from our first night, Inviting us to the same table and ensuring we were well fed. He left us alone following the meal to enjoy the view and our drinks and we did not feel rushed or pressured to pay. The 1€ cover charge is standard for Kotor and we have no problem supporting the business this way. The food was very good value, and we would highly recommend visiting here!

Very nice dinner by the seaside. All in all a wonderful experience. The fish soup may not be a looker but tasted great. So did the squid and prawns. Price are a bit to high but you do get great service and a view like no other.

Wow what a fabulous restaurant. If you love fish then look no further. Bojan looked after us so well with great recommendations for food and drink. The grilled Tuna was beautifully cooked and served on a delicious bed of sautéd potatoes and vegetables bursting with flavour and really different. Alex cooked my Sea Bream beautifully on the outdoor bbq right in front of us. You have to taste it to believe it and Bojan filleted it in front of us before presenting it onto my similarly flavoursome bed of sautéd veg. The house wine was perfect too. We will return a few more times this holiday. Thank you for our dining experience.

We came twice because we liked it so mich! Obviously the view is amazing but so was the service! We had greek salad & beefsteak salad and both were really tasty. We didn't have veggies that had as much taste as these anywhere in Montenegro. Also great Tiramisu! 5/5 and big thanks to our lovely waiter who remembered us :)

Restoran Cesarica is a charming adriatic tavern located in the heart of Kotor's Old Town. It is known for its warm and friendly atmosphere, as well as its delectable seafood offerings. The restaurant specializes in fresh catches of the day, offering a variety of fish and seafood dishes that are sure to delight any visitor. With a cozy cave-like interior and romantic candle-lit terrace, Restoran Cesarica provides a beautiful setting for an evening meal.
Loved this restaurant. The owner is very kind and hospitable. The service makes you feel as if you are visiting a dear friend’s house, not a commercial establishment. The owner got busy with other customers but made sure to bring us some local cheese to make us feel welcomed. The fish is fresh and I recommend their grilled sea bream. The local house wine is OK and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The server was extremely nice so great way to start your experience. We got the fried squid and the stuffed squid and the food was fresh and delicious! Even the french fries were home made! Would 100% recommend! Extra bonus...the bathroom was also clean and fresh 😆

This might just be the best seafood we had ever had. The waitress was very friendly and the food was superb! We started with the prosciutto and cheese and then had the squid stuffed with shrimp and the grilled sea bass. Both were delicious, but the squid stole the show! It was truly magnificent!!!!

Went out for a last minute dinner in Old Town and saw the the great reviews here and they were not lying. The restaurant is really pretty and intimate with indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. The walls were full of memories and history. The staff were amazing. There were two huge groups in and out waitress made sure we got our order in before the groups took up the kitchen. The food was fantastic, and some of the best dishes I had while visiting. Our table had a steak and bass… both had us wanting to come back again. This place had some of the best food I’ve had in a while. I don’t understand how this place only has a 4.4, it should easily be closer to a 5. If you are around, please come here. You’ll get some great food and great staff.

While looking for a place to have lunch, we came across Restaurant Cesarica. It's located right in the center, but tucked slightly around the corner, which makes it much quieter and more relaxed. We had the black risotto and the octopus salad—both were very tasty. The risotto was cooked and served in a separate pot, which was a nice touch. The lady who served us was very kind and friendly. The prices were a bit on the higher side, but fully justified by the quality and taste of the food.
Lukas O — Google review
My husband was on a mission to find some delicious black ( squid ink) spaghetti or risotto. A local guide helped us locate this restaurant on a quiet street where we found, in his words, “perfectly cooked” black risotto! Thank you for serving this delicacy so I don’t have to try to learn to make it !! 😊 The server really hustled and was very hospitable. The service was very quick. We had the opportunity to meet the owner Rino who was also very cordial , welcoming and personable. He proudly shared his family “ wall of fame” inside , honoring family members who had served in various military capacities. Get off the tourist route and try this family friendly restaurant offering local cuisine and hospitality , and of course black risotto if you are so inclined! (The chicken was also delicious with fresh cut organic French fries and a green salad! )
Linda P — Google review
I honestly don’t get how this place is only rated 4.3. For me it’s a full five stars. We’re Chinese and trust me, if Chinese people say the food is tasty, it really is. Compared with other restaurants we tried in Montenegro, this one was miles ahead in service, flavour and price. The staff were attentive, the squid stuffed with prawns was a wonderful surprise, the setting felt peaceful even though it’s right in the centre, and the prices were more than fair.
Sunny K — Google review
We found this restaurant on Tripadvisor, we don’t always trust this platform but we were absolutely blown away. The freshness of the ingredients and the way that they had been cooked was truly delightful. Starting with the thick fish soup, so many different types of fish, yet the taste was so delicate. Let’s go onto the sea bream with fries, this fish must have just been caught because it was so fresh and delicious. Now let’s talk about the seafood risotto, right my only criticism is I would have liked more rice but apart from that this was a 5*+ dish. Thank you to Anna who was a very hospitable host. We will definitely visit this establishment on our return and so should you if you are in the area!!

Pizza restaurant
Pizzeria Pronto is a popular spot in Kotor, Montenegro, offering both sit-down dining and takeaway options. The restaurant serves full-size pizzas at affordable prices, while the takeaway hatch offers delicious pizza slices for just 2 EUR each. The portions are generous and satisfying, making it a convenient choice for on-the-go meals. Located in a peaceful alley outside the busy Kotor center, Pizzeria Pronto provides a tranquil atmosphere to enjoy your meal.
Best place to visit after a night out. This pizza hit the spot every time. A little bit pricey but worth it. Their pizza is always fresh and taste the same every time you order it so you can count on quality every time👌 either it's always good or I'm just drunk every time i eat it 🤣🤣 Anyway don't skip Pronto ☺️
Jelena Z — Google review
They serve pizza slices in a very practical way. They use thin, thin dough, and the leavening is excellent. It doesn't leave a heavy feeling in your stomach; you should definitely try it. The tomato sauce is a bit too strong for my taste. But it's a great meal while wandering the streets of Old Town.
Ugur K — Google review
€3.50 euro for a massive slice of pizza, how can you resist? Honestly such yummy pizza, big slice to fill you up and quick and easy service. I had a ham and mushroom and my partner had pepperoni. Great place to grab food if you are on more of a budget or just want a quick hot snack.
Jessica M — Google review
If you find yourself wandering the charming streets of Kotor Old Town and craving authentic, delicious pizza, Pizzeria Pronto is a must-visit. The cozy atmosphere perfectly complements the historic vibe of the area, making it a great spot to relax after exploring. The pizza here is simply outstanding — thin, crispy crust with fresh, high-quality toppings that burst with flavor in every bite. Whether you’re a fan of classic Margherita or more adventurous combinations, the menu offers a solid variety to satisfy every craving. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall welcoming experience. Prices are very reasonable considering the prime location and quality of the food. Plus, the portions are generous enough to share or enjoy as a hearty meal. Overall, Pizzeria Pronto is a fantastic choice for a casual yet delicious meal in Kotor Old Town. I’d definitely recommend stopping by for a slice (or two)!
Avinash N — Google review
This trendy pizza place offers a 3.5€ slice that’s surprisingly large, but unfortunately, it lacks any real flavor. The slices are dripping with cooking oil, making it a disappointing experience.
Peleg S — Google review
Interesting experience in the local pizzeria. The pizza is OK, I can’t say WOW, but it is well made and everything fresh and big portion. I was reading a lot negative reviews about ketchup on the table - yes, it is there, but no one force you to use it. I saw how local guys were eating, they fully covered the pizza by ketchup. Very friendly staff.
Dmitry Z — Google review
Tasty pizza for a fair price of €3.5 for slice. Slices are quite large
Rareș M — Google review
3.5€ for a big slice that’s more than enough for one person. Delicious. Only thing to improve is variety - they have just 3 types of pizza: margarita, pepperoni and with pork. No green olives- which is international. Also no seatings.

Steak house
Lunch restaurant
Marenda Steak House, located just a 5-minute walk from the main Sea Gate in Skaljari, offers more than just mouthwatering steaks and burgers. While it is primarily known for its dry-aged steaks and burgers, it also surprises visitors with traditional omelets, oatmeal, and Montenegrin fry-up for breakfast.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing hospitality, provided by the gentleman name Boris. Me and my girlfriend truly enjoyed the service. Quality and presentation of the food was another level too. Steak was grilled as requested to perfection, cheese and local prosciutto plater was amazing. They also have an excellent choice of dry aged meat . Prices are great and service is impressive. Highly recommend and will definitely come back.
Predrag D — Google review
It could have been one of the best steaks in my life. The owner of the hostel recommended this place. Premium dry aged 45 days is recommended as the best. €9.9 / 100g, the smallest cut is 550g, costing €54.45, over the sky price. But it's good enough for 2 persons. I ate half & pack half for dinner. I asked for rare, & it’s perfect, no more no less. The texture is perfect, even the tendon & fat part. It’s already cold by the end, but the meat is still so good.
Connie W — Google review
An outstanding restaurant with great atmosphere and a great variety of foods. We had burgers including the pulled pork and the gourmet burgers. Both were excellent but the gourmet had so much flavor and taste, it was a dream! The pulled pork came with onion jam and coleslaw in the brioche bun. We also had the beef soup which was also delicious and outstanding! Finally the salad was sldo really good and even though it was a bit expensive, their quality was just do obvious!! We highly recommend this place and will return to try their steaks!!
DYJ1948 — Google review
Dry aged T-bone steak was very delicious but we ordered medium and got medium rare to rare, but the steak itself had amazing flavor, Caeser salad was tasty. Service was very good the waiter was nice and spoke good english, atmosphere was cozy nothing special.
Yuval B — Google review
Han was such a welcoming waiter and really made our experience great. He gave us excellent recommendations for the wine (which turned out to be spot on) and it was a pleasure chatting with him about the menu, wine list, and even a bit about the city’s culture and food. The food itself was very tasty and good value for the price. Having such a friendly and knowledgeable waiter definitely made the meal even better. Would recommend!
Penny F — Google review
The food was phenomenal, and the waiter was exactly as a waiter should be – polite, witty, and attentive. On his recommendation, we ordered the premium dry-aged ribeye steak, aged for over 45 days, served with potatoes and grilled vegetables. A small remark: the menu listed the potatoes as “aromatized potatoes,” but in reality, they were just potato slices fried like French fries. This could be improved by preparing boiled potatoes and then finishing them in butter with herbs, for example. For starters, we had roasted bone marrow served with spicy butter – and that combination is to die for! We also ordered beef tartare, which was undoubtedly the best I’ve ever tried in my life. The price fully matches the standard of service and the quality of the food. With drinks, it came to around €70 per person for a starter and main course. Photos attached.

I had an excellent dining experience at Marenda in Kotor. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The grilled dishes and sides were perfectly prepared, and the portion sizes were just right. The staff was very welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was enjoyable. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. I would highly recommend Marenda to anyone visiting Kotor.

As you can see, our plates are empty — hunger conquered, thirst satisfied. But Marenda Steak House is far more than just a restaurant. The décor is inviting, the music playlist perfectly chosen, and the meats… absolutely divine. Beautiful plating, attentive staff, great drinks — everything is superb, and all at a surprisingly affordable price.

Nestled in the heart of Kotor's old town, Pepe Nero offers a sophisticated setting to savor Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant boasts an extensive wine selection and an impressive cocktail menu to complement its local and international dishes. Renowned as one of the best breakfast spots in Kotor, it serves traditional Montenegrin egg dishes, international classics like Avocado Benedict, and healthy options such as oatmeal with chocolate & coconut chips.
We visited this restaurant and were impressed on every level. The staff is extremely friendly, professional, and always smiling – they genuinely make an effort to give each guest a great experience. The food is absolutely delicious, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented, with great attention to detail. 😍 The ambiance is pleasant, modern, and very clean – everything is tidy and thoughtfully arranged, which really adds to the overall experience. A special highlight is the live music they occasionally offer, which makes the evening atmosphere even more enjoyable. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality you get, and it’s definitely worth every penny, highly recommended!

I really liked this restaurant - so much that I went twice! The food was yummy, the drinks were gigantic and great, and the best thing was the service. Our waitress both times was kind, welcoming and professional. She had good recommendations and spot-on suggestions. She remembered us from our first time sitting there and made us feel like total queens. Highly recommended!
Rachel S — Google review
We went there twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. The food is mostly delicious but the portions are rather small, especially considering the price (hence the 4 stars). The staff is very friendly! There was also live music in the evening. For breakfast I had oatmeal with fruits, but "the fruits" were 3 small pieces of orange, that's it. So here I also see room for improvement, again, considering the price.

This place is a true gem of Old Kotor. Olive is a spectacular hostess. The chef paid so much attention to detail. The food was out of this world - so good! A real Michelin star experience.

Really enjoyed this place for lunch. Great waiter. The food and draft beer was really good. And it was kind of tucked away from the crowds. I had the sea bass and fish soup.

In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Kotor. We ordered meat, which was really good, and the dessert was great as well. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We went there for lunch twice and would definitely go again—high-quality food all around!

Farmers' market
When visiting Kotor, it's recommended to book a private transfer for convenience, especially if traveling with kids. The drive from Podgorica to Kotor can be winding, so caution is advised for those prone to carsickness. Kotor's farmer's market holds a rich history dating back to the 15th century and is an integral part of the city's tradition.
A fresh fruit and vegetables market near old town main gate. You have lot of stalls selling meats , honey and dry fruits also. They also sell rakija the local alcohol drink
SHANmugha V — Google review
Great local market if you wish to buy fresh veggies, fruits, cheese, local wine etc. Prices vary so walk around and check for the reasonable options or negotiate.
Jolita — Google review
Smaller than I thought but worth the visit. We bought cheese and sausages and they were amazing! A lot of homemade products and we found the cheapest magnets for souvenirs there.
Giselly A — Google review
Local food market close to the entry gate of the old town at the city of kotor , Montenegro. There are multiple small shops selling local fruits veg and some local produce. There are a good amount of choices and options available to get a quick bite or grab something on the way. The fruits were supposedly from the sellers local farms , though not too much flavourful.
P. G — Google review
A small market with vegetables & fruits & fish for the local people, and cheese & sausages for tourists. No street food. Markets can be a fun place for tourists like me, but this one was disappointing. However, if you are there, don't miss the opportunity to check if I am right. 🙂
Geri R — Google review
Splendid collection of fresh fruit and vegetables.Price is reasonable. Situated atthe heart of oth old town near the entry gate.
Chitrita G — Google review
A 'farmer's market' right next to the town walls. Many of the sellers in the non-covered part offer their home-grown produce, others not, but shopping for eggs, fruit and veg here is certainly a more traditional and pleasant way than in the local supermarket! Some sellers even offer antiques and other such items for sale. The sellers at the back are of a more obvious commercial bent, though it is fun to sample their wares. We had so much local prosciutto, cheese, salami, olives and even some delicious raspberry wine, that we didn't need to eat lunch 'til an hour after we normally would! I recommend the lady seller with the glasses, the first lady from the left: she speaks some English, is very nice (gave our daughter a free wafer biscuit, and half an hour after our original visit helped my husband to look for my wedding ring after it'd slipped from my finger undetected!) and has excellent cheeses and fruit wines, while the lady next to her on the right also has great prosciutto - but it's up to you on the day, they'll all give you samples to try before you buy! The only thing to note is that none of the sellers have their prices on display (perhaps it's not a legal requirement in Montenegro?) so ask before you commit to buying, and, I'll have to admit, the prices are surprisingly high.

beware scam /fraud "olive"oil ...we bought "olive"oil in a plastic bottle from a woman who also sold olives right next to a small honey both, but the fake olive oil tasted like sunflower oil, or even worse... it just had the color of "olive"oil

Marshall's Gelato is a top-notch ice cream shop nestled in the heart of Kotor's Old Town. Renowned for its artisanal approach to crafting flavors, it has become a beloved destination for ice cream aficionados seeking authentic and innovative options. The pistachio flavor stands out as a must-try, described as incredibly creamy and delicious. In addition to traditional varieties, they also offer vegan options.
The absolute best gelateria in Kotor, 5/5 no question. I might even say some flavours were the best that I've ever had. Glad I discovered them on my first day there. I went in every single day until I left Kotor.
Taiba F — Google review
For the flavors I have chosen nougat with coffee and Marshall s special, the taste is mediocre. But other flavors were much better such as pistachio, strawberry, passion fruit, and tiramisu. Expect to wait for 10 mins or so in the queue. But staff are very friendly and speak different language

One of our all-time favourite ice cream spots. Since we discovered it a few years ago, we keep coming back each time we visit Kotor. Superb quality and selection of flavors that are all lovely and really tough to choose from.

Best Ice Cream in town... don't get lured by the ice cream stands all around in the old town... keep your eyes peeled for this gem! Pink Pomegrenade, Violet Ice, Dark Chocolate Orange, White Chocolate Pistachio... only superb flavours, plus it's cheaper

Best gelato in Kotor! Made from fresh ingredients without preservatives, so the flavors rotate regularly. Recommend any flavors with hazelnut, pistachio, or coconut.

Mon Bistro Cafétéria is a charming French-inspired coffee shop located in a narrow alley near Kotor Cathedral. It's known for its delicious breakfast offerings, including buttery croissants with various fillings like chocolate, raspberry, Njegusi Prosciutto, cheese, and arugula. The café is praised for serving the best coffee in Kotor and offers a cozy atmosphere to enjoy your meal.
We popped into Mon Bistro Cafeteria for a quick breakfast and had a great experience. To start, we had a latte and the pomegranate juice - which was so refreshing! To eat, we each had the healthy breakfast, which was a yogurt parfait with granola and fruit, with a side of honey. We were still a little hungry and ended the meal with croissants, which were so delicious!

Really nice staff. Took them a while to bring over the card machine after asking but was good food. The waitress was able to recommend which bagel she preferred, and it was very good! Definitely worth a visit. However, some outdoor seating you may be in direct constant sunlight

Cute cafe in a side street next to the church square. Prices were moderately high as in most places in town. But we all enjoyed the food we had. We had to sit inside as the tables outside were full and as it's quite small it felt very cramped and dark so make sure to get a seat outside for a nicer ambience.
