We visited Cordoba and a friend made a reservation here. Honestly, nothing special. There are plenty of places that offer the same type of dishes in the area for a fraction of the price. The waiter offered bread as he handed us the menus, me being used to this agreed, unbeknownst to me this came with a tag of 3eur per person, for bread. The waiter then put a small amount of olive oil in our plates with no chance to get more for our expensive bread service. We had the oxtail as it is supposed to be the specialty. It was cooked properly but that’s it, nothing memorable. We went for the full portion since the half portion was 23eur and the full one at 30. It felt very little anyways. We also had the Rice broth (arroz meloso) with jamon and artichoke, this one was the best dish. I honestly would have sticked to this one only. We had a portion of croquettes, again very average, seemed like typical bar snack. Forgettable. We were never offered a drinks menu, the waiter forgot that we asked for water, there seemed to be no options for non alcoholic drinks. The tinto de verano was from a premade bottle? Like c’mon cheaper places make their own. At the end I learn this place has a michelin guide mention. I don’t know why honestly. It makes me wonder if michelin critics were drunk when they visited the place.

Recommended by our trip organizer. Superior meal. We start with liver pate (over the top) followed by and artichoke dish and finished with a pork risotto (too good to not eat it all. Outstanding service. Try it!

This is by far my favorite restaurant of all time in Cordoba. I can't believe how good the food is here and honestly I will always come back here as long as these guys exist. The wine is excellent. The food is excellent. The service is excellent and I cannot honestly complain about a single thing. Don't ever skip this place because you are missing out big time.

CROQUETAS CREMOSAS DE PUCHERO CON JAMÓN -creamy stew and cured ham croquettes. Croquettes are served in many places, but these are truly delicious. Soft, high-quality filling, crispy on top, and a distinct ham flavor. LAS BERENJENAS DE PEPE CON MIEL DE CAÑA - Pepe-style fried eggplants with cane syrup. Unfortunately, this appetizer wasn't quite as good. The eggplant flavor was lost in the frying fat and syrup. It's a shame, because I love well-prepared eggplant. PALETILLA DE CORDERO LECHAL ASADA CON COUS COUS ESPECIADO - roast suckling lamb shoulder with spiced couscous. The lamb was soft, melting, with crispy skin, delicately spiced, and the couscous had an oriental flavor. I don't know what the point of the sauce was; it was cold anyway, only warmed by the couscous, and it didn't look or taste like a roast gravy. The staff suggested a good wine. The waiters tend to be a bit rushed when ordering, but overall they're quick and efficient.

Well, first experience about Cordoba kitchen but probably the best. Compared to other places little high price but quality of the food and service deserves. I started with Salmorejo and Berenjenas, very tipical Cordobese kitchen. But because I’m not very into fried food, it was tasty but even half portion was too much, but very authentic and tasty. As main course I had Flamenquin, which I had doubts because it seemed like some fried dish as well but omg. The meat inside 1er quality, very soft and tasty. Little note; If you like wine-food pairing and you want to try some Cordoba wine, 6 PB is a good starter(red wine) with starters(if you’ll have meat or veggie based starters) and for main course 12 PB is perfect match(of course if you’re going to have meat main course. Service is great, very welcoming staff starting from entrance but special thanks to Sari, she has been very patient about my indecision 🤭

Very disappointing experience at Casa Pepe de la Judería. Three of us had the flamenquín and it tasted old, smelled bad and was hard, the fries tasted of fried fish and the squid was as rubbery as tyres. With this level of quality, it is difficult to understand the many positive reviews. Our visit to Casa Pepe de la Judería was unfortunately very disappointing. Three of us ordered the flamenquín and all had the same reaction, the texture was hard, the taste felt old and it even had an unpleasant smell. It was simply not fresh and not enjoyable. The fries were also disappointing, carrying a strong fried fish flavour that clearly should not have been there. The squid was the final let down, with a texture so rubbery it was almost impossible to eat. I don't understand how this restaurant has so many positive reviews as what we experienced was well below standard. It genuinely leaves us wondering how our visit could differ so much from the online ratings...

Visited Restaurante El Churrasco for lunch. They’re open from 2:00PM-4:00PM for lunch hours, and 8:00PM-11:00PM for dinner hours. We were ten minutes early, and they let us in right when the clock hit 2:00. Punctuality is priority! Bread was placed on the side plates and water was brought to us after we climbed up the stairs to the third floor. There are multiple rooms to this restaurant, FYI. Ordered quite a bit a food, and it all came in a fair amount of time. Although that could be because we were a few of the only customers. The food; amazing. I got Stew Broth with Mint, and I cannot explain the unique flavor. Also ordered a mini wagyu burger for myself, wanting to see how the meat tasted. It was delicious. We ordered a bunch of other stuff, and it was great.

They have a selection of dishes that cover veggies/meat/sea food. We shared some fried squids, then had main courses of octopus and cod fish, tender and flavourful. Although a reservation is recommended, we arrived there right after they opened for dinner and got lucky to get a table at the second floor. They had pages of reservations for the evening and the place got full in no time. Staff is focused and attentive and they manage their tasks efficiently.

The food didn’t quite convince me. The calamari were a bit tough and the tomatoes lacked flavor. The oxtail was ok, but I’ve had better elsewhere. I ordered the entrecôte medium, but it came out cold inside. After sending it back to the grill, I have to say the meat itself was very, very good. Maybe I just wasn’t lucky that day, but overall, it’s a place that didn’t quite win me over. The service was fantastic, the waiters were extremely polite and everything arrived very quickly.

I had an amazing dinner at El Churrasco. I did queue, and the place opened at 20:30 sharp. There were a lot of people in line, but still, I’d say you might find a spot even if you arrive at 21:00 - provided you’re not a huge group. Staff was friendly and I appreciated being placed in a room that was quieter, as I had my book with me. I wanted to try their churrasco and the taste of “brasa” was so present but in a good way. Meat was melting like butter - so tasty. My small salad was big and tasty too. I tried the cordovan cake and the portion was huge despite being the small one. I also had the amaretto and chocolate crocant, which was disappointing because there wasn’t no amaretto and the chocolate was an artificial syrup (a place like this could afford better chocolate). My wine was truly good. So, desserts are not the big spot, and I do recommend you get the restaurant forte, that is meat!

Everything was perfect. Staff are all friendly and professional. The food was authentic and very good quality. The price was fair! We're coming back for sure.

My partner brought me here for my birthday meal, and I'm glad she did. We both had the same dish, Solomillo de Vacuno al PX, and I asked for it to be cooked poco hecho, as I like it. It was excellent. We finished with chocolate brownie and pastel de Cordobes, and lingered longer to finish our bottle of verdejo. The service was warm and friendly, and at no point did we feel rushed. We would definitely eat here again, and would gladly recommend it to others looking for a more traditional Córdoban experience. Thanks to my partner Sarah, for choosing this place, and to El Churrasco for providing a warm welcome. We hope to visit again someday.

This was easily the best fine dining I have had. It was a true experience from start to finish. The staff is professional and polished without being stiff or cold. There is a clear vision and it’s executed flawlessly. The wine pairing is excellent and worth the add-on. I’ll be thinking about the soup dish and the wagyu for a very long time.

We visited Noor a couple of years back and thought it was great, but not quite amazing. This time around, it was a whole different story—truly outstanding! We absolutely loved the fabulous Kawn menu with wine pairings. Every course was a delight to taste. The ingredients are fresh, beautifully presented, and carefully chosen, and you can really taste the care and skill in every bite. Plus, watching the chefs work in the open kitchen adds an extra layer to the culinary experience, letting you feel like you’re part of the creative process. The energy in the room is lively but never too much, striking that perfect balance between special-occasion dining and a place you want to hang out in. It’s the kind of restaurant where you lose track of time, savoring every moment. Perfect for a romantic night out or just treating yourself to something truly special. We had such a wonderful time! Highly recommended.

We were surprised by the small restaurant and having to wait outside while other customers were entering. However, the food was impressive and amazingly presented. One of the best tasting menus that I have tried. We chose the longest menu and it is probably an excessive amount of food. We were really full. I would probably recommend the other 2 options. The experience was great. I would probably have preferred the waiters to remove the empty glasses, as by the end of the tasting menu and pairing, the table was full of glasses. Overall, the experience was great, mostly because of the amazing dishes.

Exceptional experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend the wine pairing, as they offer some very unique wines. The meal was presented well, it tasted fantastic, and the service was perfect. Paco clearly has an obsession for his customers and cares deeply about the experience. Would recommend anyone coming to the restaurant to watch the 40-minute episode on Noor, to gain a better understanding of the restaurant’s theme.

Wonderful experience, with great service and very good wine pairing. I loved the arabic notes in the food which is a nice change to the standard tastes in many michelin restaurants. My stars of the evening were the oysters with spinach, the sesame karim and the aubergine with goat cheese and caviar. I also think the petit four could have been the best i have ever had.

I will take the blame for not giving 5 stars, as after I showed up I started being congested and my sense of smell and taste was worse than usual. Still, my wife said that she agreed that the flavors were muted. Presentation was top-notch with beautiful plates and perfect service. I was intrigued by the decision to leave all wine glasses on the table until the end. Ingredients were all high end and perfectly prepared, but again, several dishes just didn't have the expected flavor intensity. The wines were similar, with my wife raving about the bouquet of several that were not followed up by the flavor. The ambience is basic, leaving you room to focus on dinner, but there was a stretch where the ice cream machine noise was over powering. I'm glad we went, but probably wouldn't again. We have had better at restaurants with fewer stars. Pro tip: if you want to ensure that you don't leave hungry, finish your bread and they will bring more to have something on your empty plate. We ordered the middle number of courses which left my wife stuffed, but I was ok only because I got refills on the delicious square flaky bread, similar to a croissant. No food pictures were taken so as not to be a distraction.

Just WOW! They deserve their 2 stars. It’s an experience from the moment you walk into the door! Their attention to detail is fantastic! It’s really cool to be able to see the kitchen and what they’re doing the whole time. What I especially loved was the creativity of the menu blending Andalusian food with Arabic food. I know I will never have a food experience like this again. Many ingredients I was unfamiliar with that tasted amazing! We did the wine pairing too which was fantastic but I dare say it was too much wine, and I’m not a lightweight. This was just such a highlight of our trip!

Very very affordable price and good hospitality (which is so so rare in Spain for our 2-week vacation). The signature potato cake is really amazing. We even went there 2 times for that haha. It does not come with beautiful plates, but trust me, you won’t be regret waiting in the line after you taste it.

So this is "THE" place apparently to have spanish omlette/tortilla de patatas in Cordoba. Or so my friend ChatGPT told me 😄😄 First things first , the first thing you would notice about their spanish omlette is I would much rather call it a spanish cake. I think each one weighs 5 kgs or something like that. The visual of these spanish cakes is stunning, but when it's served to you, they basically serve you a slice. We took a slice to try. It was quite good, but personally as someone who is firmly "pro-cebolla/onion" in the tortilla debate, I wish they had put some in ,🤪 also there was a hair in the tortilla, so that kinda sucked. We also got a patatas bravas which was also good. Service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Finding a table apparently can be very hard but most folks including us just took the food to go and ate outside by the facade of the mosque cathedral. Having a hair in your food can be harrowing, so since I'm giving 3 stars it means the food was good 😅😅 but personally I think I had better tortillas elsewhere and make better tortillas at home myself too LOL, so while I would recommend a quick pitstop, I'd also ask you to set your expectations accordingly

Perfect authentic bar, quick self service, with traditional dishes and beer. You can take your food and sit across out of the Mesquita to eat. In the evening, there’s usually a guy playing music on the street and many people dance. Everything is just perfect!! Famous for the tortilla but everything we tried was yummy

Their signature tortilla is just excellent - large, flavorful, and just the thing to eat before your Córdoba stroll! The bar is unique in atmosphere, it was one of the most tapas bar of the tapas bars we visited in Spain!

Great tapas bar, super friendly , efficient & affordable. The tapas are delicious, our favourites were the salmorejo (which was incredible) and the pisto con bacalao! Love that it’s take away and you sit on the wall and eat your tapas, great vibe & very local.

Very pleasant staff serving the best, and most likely the biggest, tortillas of Cordoba. Besides that, you may also enjoy the Victoria draft beer. Do as the locals and enjoy your meal across on the steps 😉

The ultimate Spanish tortilla, a huge thin slice served hot on a plate with a breadstick, other dishes available also drinks and draft beer, some standing room inside, but best to sit on the wall opposite, easy to find on the East side of the mosque.

We had a wonderful dinner for two with the tasting menu. Everything was just perfect from start to finish. We chose two degustation menus, and each dish was creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was romantic and welcoming, and the service was attentive and friendly. A truly memorable experience, highly recommended for a special evening!

Excellent dishes in a clean, relaxed atmosphere. I know that I really love the dish when i start dancing in my seat at the first bite. That happened a couple of times during our visit last night. We ordered the ceviche, the butterfish, the tartar and the lemon dessert. All of the dishes were very tasty, beautiful to look at and arrived very quickly. The food is not too heavy and there are lots of veggie dishes as well, that is a welcome change during our travels. The ceviche was the star of the evening for me. Usually when restaurants try to re-invent ceviche, it misses a lot of things that make the dish so good. Regardera manages to keep the spirit of the dish while making it their own with some subtle andalusian flavours. Changing the leche de tigre for a sublime carrot gazpacho was really amazing. You still have the acidity of the leche de tigre but with some sweetness of the carrot that reminds you of the sweet potatoes often served with ceviche. The addition of crunchy apple cubes works really well. I could eat that dish for a week straight. Thank you for having us!!

Right by the cozy river walk, this restaurant is a gem worth visiting. The salmorejo was a delightful start—rich, flavorful, and packed with depth. We also tried the croquettes, which were surprisingly light, with the seasonal herbs adding a fresh and unique twist. The standout, however, was the lamb dish—perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and bursting with flavor. The sheep panna cotta that followed was just as impressive, delivering on every promise with its creamy, subtly savory finish. Beyond the food, what really elevates the experience is the warm, inviting atmosphere and genuinely welcoming staff. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Everything I tried was good, and most of it was excellent. Beautiful presentation, great depth of flavors, nice texture contrast, too. Air conditioning made it comfortable. Friendly service made it welcoming.

After 2 weeks between Spain, Portugal, and Paris, this was one of our top three meals the whole time. We absolutely loved the experience here. Standout dishes were the white soup which was excellent and the black sesame dessert.

Exceptional food! Everything full of flavor and delightful to the eyes. We started with the salmorejo, a tomato based soup with pieces of ham and egg, them had the exquisite guacamole. I've never used that term before for avocado and chips, but the flavor was it if this works and made very interesting by the cilantro ice cream. Then tempura Hake with green curry-wow! For comfort food like you would have at home you can't beat the puntalette with shredded duck confit, like heaven in my mouth, so creamy and cheesy, but without cheese. Service was very good, but one woman was, let's say, less pleasant than the others. Bathrooms were clean, prices reasonable considering the food quality.

Came here to try the Cordovan sweets! The pistachio pastel was nice but not a fan of the Manolete. The lady in the counter was very friendly and helped us decide which ones to try.

Traditional local puff pastry cake, classic one has a filling of pumpkin marmalade. Reasonable prices. The young lady at the counter was very kind and lovely, well done.

Great place inside, very cosy. The pasteles were tasty and fresh. The lady serving gave instructions to the clients and was very polite and friendly. I would go back to try more pastels, as there is a big variety of flavours.

Small cozy place, with traditional cordobede pastry. Tried the traditional one with pumpkin, really good. Next time would love to try the one with thr cream filling. Nice place ! And very nice service too

We discovered this little shop by accident. Really delicious pastries. We tried the chocolate hazelnut filling, the traditional Cordoba pumpkin filling and my favourite which was the crème (custard) filling. Shame it’s not a little cafe because it would have been lovely to sit down and have coffee at the same time!

I tried the pistachio flavour, but it was nothing special. It is a simple pastry, very sweet, the only thing you can taste is sugar. Also the price is very high, definitley not worth 3.80 euro.

Such a clean look bakery shop makes the pastry and sweets delicious that you couldn’t resist 😜 PS. The black coffee made by the machine is a bit too strong for me 🫣🤭

'OK'. We had an experience voucher (seemingly like 2/3 other tables in the restaurant!) from our wedding and so not everything in the menu was included (or alcohol). The place was cold and damp, and smelt of it, my jacket was cold and damp after, even the wine glasses smelt of damp. The manager/maitre d' didn't really seem to be that engaged with customers at all. The 3 falafels were ok; quite dry; one was very salty, pita was not really toasted. Berenjena con ternera; the aubergine wasn't cooked enough but the meat was quite nice. Couscous with pollo harissa was ok; not much harissa flavour at all. But...the worst was the quality and price of wine! €6.50 a glass! And it was not good wine. Sorry, I wouldn't recommend.

If you are looking for a cozy place and deferent style food to eat then this is the place. They have what I can relate to home cooking style food. Absolutely amazing flavours. If you don’t feel like home food then other options are available too. Couscous with Harisa chicken is recommended

Very friendly staff. Were quickly seated and also our order was taken very fast. We were welcomed with greetings from the kitchen. The food came fast and tasted fresh and authentic.

The atmosphere of this restaurant was beautiful, tranquil and relaxed. I felt comforted while eating there and restored when I had left. I ordered the Artichokes with vegetables and saffron sauce and Fried aubergines with cane honey and poppy seeds. The Artichokes were excellent, beautifully presented and well balanced in flavor. I highly recommend this dish. The fried aubergines were very good, it was more fried dough than eggplant, however it was nevertheless delicious.

Food was good but portion size was slightly less than we had gotten use to in Spain. We have had the egg plant and honey tapas in a number of places, didn't like as much here as it had a batter that took away the taste.

Delicious, reasonably priced, and authentic. Many options for me, who is gluten free, and the staff was very well informed and offered me a gluten free dessert too (it was delicious). Their patio is beautiful and a great place to sit. Highly recommend!

Restaurante El Rincón de Carmen is a true culinary treasure tucked away in one of Córdoba’s charming corners. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, with a lovely patio that adds to the traditional Andalusian experience. The highlight of my visit was the fried calamari served in dark bread — absolutely outstanding! Crispy, tender, and full of flavor, it was unlike anything I’ve had before. A perfect blend of texture and taste. The service was warm and welcoming, and the entire menu reflects the rich culinary traditions of the region. If you’re in Córdoba and want to experience true Andalusian flavors in a relaxed setting, this place is a must!

The place is very popular so a reservation is needed for lunch and dinner if you don’t want to wait. It has a pleasant courtyard but the day we were there it was too crowded and they didn’t have enough help. It took awhile to place an order. We got our Aperol spritz and goat cheese salad in a reasonable amount of time but we waited another 30 minutes for our burger that was overcooked and fairly tasteless.

We had a cheese plate which was nice. The anchovies and beet salad was disappointing, they were really cheap with the anchovies and it was mainly lettuce of some kind and beet. We also had some grilled fish and a risotto which were nice.

Beautiful restaurant. The patio is especially nice. Food is excellent. We ordered mostly the fish dishes, and they are all uniformly well cooked and prepared. Lots of flavours and cooked just the right amount of time. The pork dish we had was also flavourful and juicy. I also loved their cheesecake. I’ve saved this place and hopefully come back next time when we are in Cordoba.

The food is very good, with unusual local combinations, but it's clear that the restaurant is trying to squeeze every last penny out of tourists. The price-quantity ratio is not reasonable. In my opinion, this place is not worth visiting.

Made a reservation and ended up waiting at the front for a while until someone came to seat us. We were seated in the upstairs dining room that had 3 tables, which seemed a little weird because there was nobody sitting downstairs, but we didn’t think much into it. It took us a while to decide on what we wanted to eat, however, the waiter came maybe once in those 20 minutes we were deciding. Once we ordered, it took an hour for our food to arrive. The table next to us were locals and received their food within 10-15 minutes of ordering. In that 1 hour of waiting, the waiter didn’t come by once. He happened to seat another party at the table next to us so we were able to ask where our food was. My day was about 1 minute away from walking out when they finally brought 1 plate of food and then over the next 20 minutes brought out the rest of the dishes. It was a good thing we were sharing or else some of us would’ve been done with our meals before the others even started. The food was decent but nothing extraordinary to have waited that long. If you’re not a local, specifically English speaking, would highly recommend not coming here. It was the first time in Spain we felt discriminated against, which is such a silly thing to say, but truly felt that way.

Delicious food and wonderful service. Our family brought us here and it did not disappoint. The food and service were fantastic. We started with the empanadas rabo de toro. Flaky crust and delicious filling. We all could have eaten a few more. I had the Presa ibérica, succulent and seared perfectly. The entraña steaks had a wonderful crust and were cooked to a perfect medium rare. Finally, the burger with grilled onions and goat cheese was spectacular. All meals were served with the most delicious fried potatoes. Looking forward to eating here again when we return to Córdoba.

Enjoyed the most delicious meal here on a quiet week night in Cordoba. My friends had steak which they both said was amazing. l enjoyed the burger with mustard sauce& potato mash, it was delicious & very filling. A far cry from a meal in another Argentinian restaurant earlier in our stay- with 5 star Trip Advisor reviews - this was 150% improvement food quality! Our waitress in the evening seemed new& was so eager to learn& ensure we had the best dinner, as did her manager. I will certainly return here on my next trip to Cordoba 😀

Stumbled in here on the way back to the hotel and what a lucky find. Super friendly service, really lovely setting, and most importantly, such good food. Amazingly intense and rich flavours from simple empanadas and a big shout out for chorripan which was incredible. Loved it!

We arrived without reservations and sat upstairs- not a bad thing. Nice quiet intimate spot. Service was excellent. We had the Iberian pork steak, very nice, but the star of the show was the Cardinal Sin hamburger-never had anything like it. Recommend this restaurant.

Good, simple food in a cosy space. The grilled vegetables were great - the aubergine just needed a little less oil. The meat was well-cooked and very generously portioned... Slightly too much salt on the entraña (skirt steak) but that's only a minor gripe. Very friendly service. The only real downside was the overly strong reed diffuser smell, but that seems to be a regional tendency

Fantastic find ! Suggested by our taxi driver and happy to have visited. we only tried a house salad and the amazing lentil stew but were extremely happy with both. We sat outside and both in and outside were very nice and were very busy !

Great Taberna with traditional food and good choice of dishes. Food was good but I would not say exceptional. Good atmosphere in the square with 5 or so restaurants setting up tables. You can sit outside or inside but would recommend booking if you want to be inside as it is a popular place to go.

An interesting place with a century-old tradition, the ambience is historic, pleasant. We found a large number of tourists here. The restaurant is mentioned in several recommendations available on the internet and a number of correct reviews. Our waiter was excellent, professional. The food was good but not the best or excellent as it was in the previous recommendations.

Very good food, authentic atmosphere, staff very friendly. Languages spoken are English, Spanish of course, French, some German. Our server advised us on how much to order because portions could vary. Atmosphere on the plaza was amazing, typically Spanish, so relaxing. Be there early or place a reservation. If not be prepared to wait outside at a stand at table while being attended and served drinks while waiting. We had patatas bravas, croquetas de jamon and salmorejo, a tinto de verano ans a choclate cake and some small deep fried dough pieces. All very tasty, inexpensive and soo delicious. Top recommendation

Nice spot outside the main town center for an authentic Spanish meal. We ate here as part of a tour group, so I don't know if what we had is on their regular menu, but what we ate was fantastic. We had a pork dish of small bites with fries, and a fish with a great tomato sauce. Both were packed full of flavor. We would have definitely come back for dinner had we been in Cordoba another night.

Without a doubt, this was the best restaurant I’ve eaten at during my entire trip to Spain. The service from Antonia and Valerio was incredibly genuine—they were both so kind, sincere, and patient throughout our meal. The food felt like a true home-cooked, traditional Spanish experience. We started with the Picadillo de tomate con mango de Torrox, a refreshing salad made with high-quality tomatoes, sweet mangos, and onions—simple but packed with flavor. For my main, I had the Flamenquín Cordobés, and it was fantastic—crispy on the outside and full of flavor inside. My family ordered the Churrasco de bellota Pata Negra, a selection of grilled meats that were unbelievably tender. For dessert, we tried both the Pastel de las abuelas (Grandmother’s cake) and the Pastel de las viudas (Widow’s cake). Both were incredible, but personally, the Widow’s cake was my favorite—though it’s not quite what you’d expect from a typical cake!

I LOVE La Viuda!!! The food is excellent, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is cozy and intimate. I've been here many time and I am always impressed. Today I had gazpacho to start (perfect on a summer day), Presa Iberica, pork shoulder, for the main dish, and coffee for dessert. Every bite was delicious!!! I will always return to Taberna La Viuda whenever I am in Córdoba!!!

An unbelievably good restaurant we found by accident, thought it looked nice and were so happy with it we came back on our last day. A genuinely special place. Every dish is delicious and done with real care. Simple ingredients are elevated and refined, but retain their honesty and natural flavours. Couldn't ask for a better experience of the more delicate end of Spanish cuisine. Try the tomatoes with mango (yes it works) the house stew, the scrambled eggs with courgette, and grandma's cake! Service is excellent and atmosphere delightful. We took home a huge jar of their marinated olives because we've never had better. I will miss coming here!

They put a hard bread on your table and it is 1.80 per person. Tourist trap to avoid. We saw tour groups brought here. Food was average but probs can find better elsewhere

Thanks to google map, we managed to find this place rather than be restricted to station food options during layover at Cordoba. Service staff was not proficient in English, but relatively easy to point and order. What we ordered was above average and we appreciate the staff’s efforts to offer vermut and sweet treats at end of meal, despite the language barrier!

Unassuming restaurant hidden in the neighbourhood. The first time we went at 7:30 pm, it was not opened yet. Then I realized locals have dinner late in this part of Spain. Went there again at 8:30pm. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food like the grilled mushroom with Jarmon, their meat dishes, and excellent wine.

The best place I visited to have local dishes. Argimiro was very kind explaining and recommending the food and drinks. The one and only stop you need to have the real flavors from Córdoba.

The food was delicious, the soup, mushroom with ham, and iberico. The staff was friendly and we were served their sherry shots at the end which was so good! However they served the largest portion of the iberico ham while we only ordered the small (tapa) which we did not know until the bill came!

Excellent food and drinks! I highly recommend the tarta de la abuela and the churrasco ibérico — both were amazing. Our waiter Miguel was super friendly and gave us great recommendations.

Nice spot close to the Mosque. They serve comfort food with a slight modern twist. The dishes were all lovely and the service was nice too. Prices are reasonable. You can decide on a variety of dishes/ tapas depending on how hungry you are. Would recommend to come here if you are in the area for some tapas style dishes.

A real gem here. Mr Almigaro has excellent gastomic taste and personally prepares the dishes served. I returned 3 times to sample his excellent gastomic delights. The chorizo served was among the best I have sampled. The tomato alinado was a great highlight and memorable dish. As special variety of tomato bursting with flavour and ripeness with dried garlic salt. I will never forget the taste. The cooked jamon served on grilled mushrooms worked very well and very tasty. And the rabo de toro among the best I have tasted in Spain with a very flavoursome thick sauce. My only suggestion for improvement would be to offer some potato dishes to compliment it. All finished by Mr Almigaro's complimentary bottle of pedro ximénez (and if you are lucky served with biscuits) I must have also mention the complimentary olives served were very delicious. An excellent expression of Andalusian cuisine. I will definitely return on my next visit.

I regret to say that my experience at El Choco was disastrous. Shortly after eating there, my partner and I both started feeling violently ill, with symptoms of throwing up and diarrhea. The onset was rapid—by the time we finished our meal at around 5:30 pm, we were already suffering from food poisoning. In fact, I had to rush to the bathroom to throw up before leaving the restaurant, which was a first for me and, hopefully, the last. We contacted the restaurant to inform them of the issue, and it took them five days to respond. They claimed they were having problems with their email (which is a Gmail account), and dismissed our experience, stating that no other customers had reported issues. However, I find this hard to believe, especially given that the only food we had prior to our visit was a pizza 20 hours earlier and breakfast (quite simple and with different items for the two of us). Both my partner and I ate the same things, and we were affected in exactly the same way, making it hard to ignore the possibility of foodborne illness from this specific meal. After consulting with doctors, it was confirmed that the symptoms we experienced were consistent with a bacterial foodborne illness. The doctors specifically inquired about raw or undercooked seafood or fish, which we did consume at El Choco. Despite the food poisoning incident, I must acknowledge that the service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and attentive. However, the atmosphere was minimalist and simple, which I appreciate) but somewhat dull, and while the food was interesting, it was heavy and, unfortunately, led to our sickness. I truly wish I could recommend this restaurant, but based on our experience, I cannot. Food safety should be a priority, and it’s concerning that the restaurant seemed indifferent to the issue. I hope they take the necessary steps to ensure that this doesn’t happen to others.

Very special experience. Food was amazing, with huge local roots and spins on Cordoban classics. But also a lot of time and care put into the experience of the diner - with different aromas, seating locations, and the very attentive staff. Loved it, would 100% recommend. One of my favourite restaurants and as a Londoner, that is saying something! Only thing is it is expensive, and there is no lunch menu. Price is fair for dinner given how expansive and in detail the full menu is, but I would expect a shortened lunch version.

We had the full tasting menu - 17 courses, I think?! - with wine pairing and it was a delight. We spent several hours being led on a gastronomic tour of historical Cordoba and Andalucia by our knowledgeable and enthusiastic waiter (who happily for me spoke English). The courses were served in three locations, one of which being the kitchen so we could watch the cooking and prep as we ate (one course here was smoked in lavender in front of us, as we were sprayed with local wine which was apparently once a sign of a gentleman's affluence - I love learning while I eat!). All beautifully presented, as one would expect for a Michelin starred restaurant, but not *too* gimmicky, and I didn't find it pretentious (although the final petit fours were served in a spinning box of jewellery, which I didn't fully understand). Some of the dishes were truly exceptional, with the 'choco' (the restaurant's signature dish) being my favourite: finely sliced cuttlefish with a sublime silky texture. It was the sort of mouthfull which makes you roll your eyes back and sink down into your chair. The pork dish was also remarkable - it had an ultra thin layer of glazed, perfectly crispy skin and I cannot comprehend how it was achieved. The meat itself was so soft I wanted to cry with joy a little. Rosemary baked bread was served with goat milk butter topped with a little caviar, and that was delicious (plus they could accommodate gluten-free folk). Worth noting too that we were served a fried prawn head and legs. I'm an adventurous eater but I balked a little at that one - looked too much like a spider. However, I sucked it up - literally! - and can confirm it was like a very light pork scratching. It wasn't an inexpensive afternoon (€450/€500 ish for 2, with the extended tasting menu, wine pairing, and a couple of extra drinks before and after), but sometimes you get what you pay for.

Nice Michelin Star restaurante in Córdoba. Nice creative cuisine , I like the set menu. Before I go, I guess the master chef will use the snail to cook. After all, Andalusia is affected by Arab culture. For example, the fishbone dish is really creative. In this ancient city, it is good to eat this kind of food. Just the location of the restaurant is a bit remote.

Dropped in to try a bull tail stew taco I read about in a travel blog. Unfortunately they did not have it but I had a delicious pulled pork taco and a great cold soup. Quite pricey (€7 for one taco - ouch!) but good.

High end, tasty plates. Croquettes are home made and really creamy. Pulled pork taco was excellent. Patatas bravas delicious.

Got stuck in the bathroom. Afterwards the people in my group were yelled at by someone that worked there.

The few food items I had were all very flavorful and presented artistically. Portions were half as small as the price charged justified. Easy example is small dinner roll for $2.

On our first night in Córdoba, we chose this place after reading Google reviews. We initially went to the riverside location since it had more reviews, but they told us it was fully booked inside. They kindly offered to check availability at their other branch, and that’s how we ended up here. We were seated at a lovely table. For drinks, we tried the Fifty-Fifty, a nice semi-sweet wine blend (50% sweet, 50% dry). The menu was quite diverse, but unfortunately, our choices didn’t quite meet our expectations. As mentioned in other reviews, the eggplant was very mushy and lacked real flavor. The tuna with mango sauce also felt quite bland and dry. The fried calamari and bacalao were the highlights, especially the bacalao, which was slightly salty but cooked nicely and remained juicy.

A truly scrumptious & enjoyable evening at Bodegas Mezquita Cruz del Rastro served by the amazing Antonio who effortlessly worked the entire restaurant efficiently & attentively. Lovely decoration and warm vibe inside the restaurant. The food was excellent. It’s too late that we visited the night before we left Cordoba. Otherwise, we would visit one more time. We had cold tomato soup, fried eggplant, oxtail stew, ibérico pluma and cheese cake. Love it!

This was an amazing restaurant that offers very good quality and good customer service. It's a little bit off to the side which makes it for me a bit more enjoyable. I had the gazpacho, several other tapas, olives, homemade bread, the beef meatballs, the lightly battered calamari. All were delicious. This was the best meal we had during this trip in Spain.

The service was bad, as was the price to quality ratio of the food. Not only do you pay for things that are generally complimentary (water, bread, olive oil) but those things are also low quality. We got bread (just bread, no olive oil) which was untoasted and tasted like wonder bread. When I asked for some olive oil she came back and poured us a plate. The waitress then points out that there’s a fly in our oil and… walks off - we wait a few minutes assuming she’s getting us some new oil. But I had to flag her down to get some new olive oil… why would she think we were okay with a fly in our food. That was mind blowing and compels me to leave this review. That, coupled with the fact we saw many more restaurants with better prices for tapas and better atmospheres.

We absolutely loved this spot! The place looked incredibly busy when we first walked in, and I thought for sure we wouldn't get a table, but I decided to ask the staff anyway. To my surprise, they were super accommodating and managed to seat us quickly! That service was truly impressive! ​I ordered the pork dish, and it was fantastic—so tender and flavorful. I was so excited to eat that I completely forgot to take a picture before finishing it (apologies for the empty plate in the photo! 😅). ​Great food and a wonderful team. Highly recommend making a stop here!

It's a nice restaurant with many local dishes. Service was great and quick. We sat outside. The staff was very friendly and they gave tips about local dishes. We ordered creamy cold tomato tapas and russian salad as starter. And as the main dish, we had oxtail. Everything was delicious but not perfect. That's why I gave 4 stars.

Very delicious food! One of the few places in town with good vegetarian/vegan options. The grilled mushrooms and the fried eggplants were amazing! We tipped over a glass of wine and the waiters were quick to fix the situation, and they even poured us a new glass free of charge! 4 plates were plenty for 2 people. Great prices and great atmosphere, it’s even in the Michelin guide😎

I went to the restaurant with my family and left with the impression that it's more highly rated than it should be. It's not that it's a bad place, but based on the reviews I read online and in printed travel guides, I expected to be surprised by the flavors—and that didn’t happen. I'll start with the flamenquín I ordered. Absolutely nothing interesting about it. Just a deep-fried breaded sausage with no flavor beyond that of the frying oil. Then I had a broth with meatballs, which was watery, lacked seasoning, and the meatballs had more flour and bread than actual meat. In fact, the meat was so indistinct I couldn’t even identify the protein. Also, I didn’t think the service was great either. The waiters were quick to take our order but slow to explain the dishes or to bring out the food. My wife ordered the meatball soup, and we only realized the waiter hadn’t put in the order after I had already finished my flamenquín and my son his fries. Finally, I found the price to be quite steep—in other words, expensive for what it delivers. On a positive note, I’ll say that the rustic decor and traditional style of the place are fitting for a classic tavern.

Entering the century old restaurant felt like stepping back in time, with its nostalgic, old-school ambiance. The oxtail in gravy was delicious, but the fried prawns and fried cod fish were fairly average. The staff, however, were attentive and friendly.

Enjoyed our experience however we were a little disappointed with the food but perhaps that was down to our choices. Lovely staff and surroundings, would still recommend a visit.

This is a nice quaint and quiet restaurant. I was nice to eat in a place that wasn’t ridiculously loud. The food for us was a bit of a mixed bag. The sangria was awesome, the mushrooms were amazing, the pork roll was just ok, the tripe was good, but meat was cut differently than were are acustomed. The flan was god, but not the best ever had. Overall I would recommend this place.

This was a nice food market with lots of different food and drink options. We had food from three different stalls - nachos,fried sea food platter and ice cream. There is quite a bit of indoor and outdoor seating, and a family area at the back. Toilets were clean as well. My favourite was the ice cream from nocciolata!

This is a lovely little market just across the main road in Cordoba. A perfect spot to get out of the heat and enjoy some delicious food and drink. Just order a beer from one of the bars at either end, find a seat and decide what food you want. We had a fantastic noodle dish from the Asian stall where you can see all the dishes before ordering. Loved it!

There are more and more places like this – former market halls converted into food halls. It's great that you can try a variety of dishes in one place. It's perfect for a group of people who want to go out and everyone has different food preferences. You can sit and eat food from different restaurants together. It's also great that there's one stand with a large selection of draft beers. We ordered artichokes with Iberico ham, pork neck marinated in honey and herbs, Iberico mushrooms, and croquettes with 1) baccala and 2) shrimp.

Lovely place in the centre of Cordoba. You have a big variety of food to pick and choose from. You order your food to take to the table is self service, they give you a beeper after 10 mins you come the restaurant to pick you your food. There are some people passing around and cleaning the tables.

If you are reading this, go ahead and make a reservation at Garum. It was one of the best dinning experiences we’ve ever had. This was definitely more of a fine dining experience. The food was creative and delicious. We tried various other salmorejo and did not like them. This one was one of the best bites of our entire trip. Everything was excellent including our waiter and the rest of the staff.

If you are looking for creative and upscale versions of Spanish classics in Cordoba, do not miss an opportunity to dine at Garum 2.1. They have a small upscale (but not stuffy) dining room. Everything from the service to the wine recommendations and food were top notch. A little more pricey than your average restaurant in town, but not exorbitant and worth it.

The best meal I've had in Spain. Garum 2.1 showcases regional cuisine in an elevated and delicious way. The menu was a la carte, but I encourage you to order several courses to taste through the menu. The small bites of morcilla and separately the chicharron were unusual and delicious. The salmorejo is a signature dish. And I recommend anything with the oxtail. The wine list was lengthy, but trust Carlos, he will guide you through with perfect pairings. The restaurant setting was a quiet oasis that was not easily apparent from the street view. The chef has been accruing professional accolades for over a decade. This is a true family-run restaurant offering amazing food and service.

What a perfect place. As if Cordoba did not already have enough to offer, this little haven of goodness just adds to the magic. It is more than food, it is an experience and a wonderful and pleasant one at that. This is not feeding, this is a journey for your tastebuds, intricate layers of meticulous flavour that can only come from a dedicated family who give their all to please. Full Marks, well done. We will be back, again and again.

The serves are RIDICULOUSLY small. We ordered an pinxos size serve of pigs ear and 2 main meals from the menu. Although it was all delicious the serves of the main meals were 1-2 tablespoons of food on a large plate. Just ridiculous!!! The deserts were delicious and the largest portion size of our meal. We went to 2 Michelin restaurants in Jerez which far exceeded this restaurant. Disappointing.

Food was very salty, every single dish, except their complimentary tortillas (which was delicious). We had starters of aubergine, lasagna, fried mackerel and main dish of pork with chickpeas and red prawn. Service - we appeared without reservation and guy at the door said to wait to see if tables are available. Then lady came and asked us to come with her, when we started to walk after her the guy screamed at us to stop and wait. As you understand we were very "pleased" buy this "warm" welcome. Then another lady appeared and asked us to follow her, on which we were apprehensive and looked at that guy, but he acted as if he is not telling to go or no, probably because the lady is his manager, so he just kept silent, we waited, another client who was walking out started to laugh at all this situation, we laughed as well. What a mess, that was definitely a sign for us to leave. We were seated on the second floor, I dont know what the ambience is there for dinner, but for lunch none at all - very loud american pop music. As I said everything we ordered had same taste of salt. For desert we had tiramisu, with was not tiramisu at all but chocolate mousse with beets and salt. Ah, and bread, not delicious at all. Even my son who eats bread everywhere and as much as he is able to left his piece. This was the worst fine dining experience not only in Spain, but so far at all. Those two stars were for food presentation, which was good.

While the Salmorejo and Fried potatoes with hot sauces were enjoyable, the other dishes left a bit to be desired. The Risotto of prawns, truffle oil and parmigiano cheese was was less than average. The Grilled salmon with vegetables wok was decent but lacked a bit of wow factor.

The person at reception of our hotel recommended La Siesta and we were not disappointed. The oxtail and the Kingfish were both excellent. Great service from Antonio!

The food was decent, but the service was incredibly bad. We ordered from the menu of the day, which means we ordered our first and second course at the beginning. You’d think you’d only wait about 5-10 min between courses. However, we waited about 30 minutes to an hour. We debated walking out because of how long it was taking.

We ordered a "sampler of córdoba" which was fine. The fries were battered and as a result incredibly greasy and soft. We did order the bull tail bao which were, surprisingly, fantastic. The bun could have been steamed better, but for being Spain, it was great. We also got a great red wine. However, the server was terrible: 1. He would take 15 to 20 minutes between visit to our table, so it took 40 minutes to order, and another 20 or so after we finished to pay. 2. He was rude the whole time. 3. He forced me to pay a tip on the check, which when confronted, said that's how it is. I've lived in Italy long enough to know this is the tourist fee. 4. He also brought Amari and similar to the other tables, but not to us.

Family of 4 having been to a few places along the water/river and getting turned away we happened across La Siesta and we were offered an inside table which was so lovely nice decor and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. We were offered the bread and olives and when I asked for butter they said they had non (not a problem) however 1 or 2min later he arrived with some butter from their friendly neighbour what more could you ask for. Well it went from good to soooo good spaghetti bolognese was so good rich flavours and as my daughter said full of rich wine 👌 the pork sirloin devoured by the 10yr old and my salmon with vegetables were perfect as was the Rosada and potato’s bravos!! Overall yes without doubt would recommend for a good meal out 🫶👌

The best food we had in Córdoba. I had the bull tail and it was exceptional. My wife tried the menu of the day and it was also really good. Also nice service from our waiter. The restaurant has a nice terrace where we where able to relax. Highly recommend the one!

Great food, the beef was particularly good with nice pasta, while others in my group enjoyed their salads and pate. Desserts were very tasty as well. We were seated in the more traditional part of the restaurant at the rear, it was nice and quiet while a procession passed.

Our American family of 5 had a great dinner here! The menu was awesome with a variety of options, good portion sizes that were filling without leftovers. We had the stroganoff, curried pork, squid ink orzo, and chicken couscous. Loved the vibe and music, wish I could eat here all the time!

Brilliant find, we had an early dinner, that was so tasty. Modern Spanish fusion. Our beef brisket with roasted pumpkin slices yummy! The Tuna was perfectly cooked served with picked seaweed. A standout meal, really friendly owner with great atmosphere. Highly recommend

An experience I will remember the rest of my life. I am travelling alone, so the service I get from the staff is a massive part of my experience. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant I felt welcome and almost like part of the family. And the service didn’t end there! I relied completely on the recommendations of the waiter and was not disappointed. Super tasty dishes and the local Rioja wine? Mind-blowing! I am not a big tipper but this time I tipped even more than I should have 😅

Very nice restaurant in the old part of Cordoba. Here they serve only natural wine. We ate a wonderful Cod dish. A small advice, share the dessert , they are too big for one person. Nice service and nice interior .

I had the lamb brochette and Simonetta had the Vege lasagne and then we shared the yoghurt/honey dessert. All dishes were v tasty. I think we’ll go again tomorrow as there were other items on the menu we’d like to try.

Hidden gem of Spain! One of our favorite meals and a beautiful gluten-free menu was a bonus! All of the food was so fresh and flavorful. Each plate was well balanced and creative. The sardines on the leeks was clean and each ingredient spoke softly through each bite. My husband had the pasta with blue cheese, orange & walnuts - he said it was delightful. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the blue cheese sauce was tge star of the plate but was not overpowering. The orange marmalade did a beautiful job of creating balance with the blue cheese. I had the dry aged carpaccio with white truffle and arugula. Every bite was an experience. The meat just melted in my mouth while the flavors danced on my tongue. I cannot express my gratitude for having such amazing gluten-free options. This was a pleasant surprise and a highlight of our time in Córdoba. We look forward to returning!!

This place is delicious, healthy, and flavourful. I'm surprised they're not charging more (but glad they're not!) Everything is considered and presented nicely. This was the perfect place for a veggie and a gluten free girly to go together, we came back two nights in a row! Highly recommend. Staff are friendly to english-speakers :)

Our meals were good, but not great. It was safe for our celiac who has to eat gluten free. Waitstaff pays much more attention to tables speaking Spanish. It was hard for us to get their attention and it is a small place. It is a safe meal, but not a great meal.

The place is very beautiful and the atmosphere is good, Gives an inviting feeling to enter. In fact, the portions are very small and do not justify their expensive price - neither in taste nor in size. I would recommend investing a little more in a dish, especially when you demand such an expensive price for it. The fact that many of the menu options are vegetarian is amazing.

I only had a starter as I wasn't too hungry, but it might have been the best asparagus of my life 😉 Our group really enjoyed dinner there, both meat eaters and vegetarians. The dessert I chose was very unique and absolutely delicious as well. Walking distance from the Roman Bridge. Wonderful staff, we'd definitely come back on another trip to Córdoba!

We went here for the longer tasting, and found it to be both delicious (the food and wines) and informative (things we didn’t know about the wine). Gaby is the perfect host for this story through the winemaking process, and the tapas she pairs it with were always a delight (especially the asparagus and romesco). And all within a relaxing, cosy atmosphere that feels like being welcomed into someone’s home.

I had a wonderful time at Jugo. The owner Gaby was extremely friendly and gracious, talking us through a wide variety of excellent wines. After a couple days of verdejo and rioja the selection was a breath of fresh air. If you're a fan of natural wine then this is can't-miss when you're in Córdoba.

I had higher expectations. Only the squid was genuinely tasty. The rest of the dishes weren’t really our thing and lacked flavor, and the croquetas were mostly creamy. Service wasn’t great either, perhaps because we didn’t speak Spanish? The experience felt a bit awkward.

We took a day trip to Córdoba from Sevilla and didn’t make any restaurant reservations in advance, so all the popular spots were completely booked. Luckily, we stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for somewhere to eat. First off — the sangria was delicious! We ordered the zucchini as a starter, and it was fantastic. For the main course, I had the pork with gnocchi, and my friend ordered the rigatoni bolognese. The pork was pretty good, and I really enjoyed the cheesy gnocchi. My friend said the rigatoni was tasty as well, though a little on the salty side for her. We finished off our meal with the tiramisu. It was a bit thicker than what we’re used to back in the States, but still very good. The restaurant’s interior was super cute — I wish I had taken some photos! The service was excellent, and our waitress was so kind and attentive. Overall, a 10/10 experience 🌟 My only regret is not ordering ten more of those sangrias before we left, lol.

We originally came here for breakfast/brunch, but found out they switch to the lunch menu after 12:30, so we decided to give it a try. As you enter, you’re welcomed by the sound of water, and the atmosphere in the courtyard is quite unique. However, I felt the space could be decorated in a warmer, more thoughtful way, it lacked a bit of soul for me. The Clara Casera Limón was a refreshing drink, perfect for the summer heat. We tried two Córdoba classics: flamenquín and mazamorra. Unfortunately, they didn’t quite suit our taste, though I wouldn’t say they were poorly prepared, it’s just a matter of personal preference. The staff was friendly and welcoming overall.

Beautiful space close to the Cordoba Mosque, stunning restaurant with even more satisfying food. Their desayuno Cordobés is a must have to start your trip in Cordoba. Their Salmorejo you would wish you could drink every day in Spain. They have great fresh orange juice as well and even better attentive service. 10/10 experience and would recommend to everybody stopping by in cordoba for their travels.

Ask for Gluten Free. They have choices for breakfast and lunch. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We had a delicious breakfast.

What a great experience and I truly feel that there should be more such restaurants. Perfect intro level to fine dining in a very down to earth atmosphere. There were families with children and the price is very low in comparison to what you get. This is the type of place that will not scare off people afraid of the concept of fine dining. I dont think its michelin star quality but I also feel this is not the intention of the chef. What a great ambassador to fine dining!

From the reception to the farewell, we were taken by the hand by an extremely friendly team for a top gastronomic journey. Each dish is an art in both taste and presentation and each dish is a story in itself. The matching wines fully accentuate the rich flavors. A heavenly experience for all the senses. Special compliments to Chef Ortega who conjures up a dish at the table in all modesty. But also to the service who presented the dishes in a wonderfully committed and original way and guided us through the entire evening. A top evening for us: we walked back home as two happy people. Wow. Just amazing. Best meal I’ve had in some time and by far the best on my visit to Spain. It isn’t cheap, but it’s great value. So many dishes and we lost track of the accompanying drinks. In the end we felt so full I thought I was going to explode! Fabulous night, amazing service and appreciated meeting the chef.

Very different. Food presentation and taste sensations amazing as was the whole experience. Staff very attentive and explained the make up and rational for every one of the 10 or so courses. Everything of the finest quality including the wine, an extremely good Chablis To illustrate the experience one of the early courses had gazpacho like you have never tasted served in an earthen ware pot and two miniature beer mugs together with a toothpaste tube of extract of chorizo Would I like eat like this everyday, no, will I go again a very definite yes. Not cheap.

Fantastic little restaurant with amazing service and great food. We had the degustation menu which had some brilliant creations and was pair with some great wines from around Spain. They also have a competition between their deserts and ask you to vote on a chalkboard as to which is your favourite, which is a fun touch. Really enjoyed our experience here. It's a little pricey in comparison to other restaurants but you won't be disappointed!

Me and my Girlfriend were visiting Cordoba on our travels around Spain. In the 3 weeks we have been here and eaten in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Toledo. I can say with absolute confidence that this was by far the best meal we have had here. It's was extremely fresh and light which is not how I placed mexican food before I ate here. They freshly make their nachos daily and they taste NOTHING like you'd expect. The marriage of flavours here is literally like a party in your mouth. They are also very accomodating, our waiter was very keen for us to ask questions and was very helpful describing food. I think it is a family place, as the staff seem to really care about their product, and seem very happy when we told them how much we'd enjoyed our visit. If you only eat at one place in Cordoba make sure you eat here!

Plusses: Good service, fun decor, excellent fajitas tacos. Minuses: Disappointing enchiladas with mole, terrible sangria. We lived in the American southwest for many years. We know good Mexican food and bad Mexican food. This restaurant featured both. The side of pinto beans with the dried out enchilada was absolutely flavorless. A little salt would have helped. Garlic and onion? Nothing. The sangria was sickly sweet. It's highly doubtful it was made with any wine at all, let alone brandy. For all this, a very overpriced meal. We'll move on to find a more authentic Mexican experience in Córdoba.

Very beautifully decorated restaurant at the heart of cordoba. The setup is really unique, and the dishes are authentic. We started with the artichokes, and to be honest, we were quite disappointed. On the other hand, the perdiz (partridge) was quite delicious. As for the service, they were clearly under staffed and overwhelmed, and one of the waitresses was borderline rude, but it was still alright. For dessert, we had the cheesecake and it was one of best I've had in Spain.

Sara and Raquel ensured we had a night we’ll never forget. We had the tasting menu, consisting of 8+ excellent Cordovan delicacies. The restaurant is located in a 200 year old building, and we sat in the iconic Cordovan patio. The service was outstanding, as was the food. After we finished eating, Sara took us on a tour of the entire restaurant as well as the owners’ other restaurant and artists’ patio. We will never forget our experience tonight and cannot speak more highly about Puerta Sevilla and Cordoba.

The food was no bad no good, i think it depends on your personal taste. The friend eggplants were to oily and we couldn’t eat team. The toast Anchovies was good, but very small for 6,5 euros We also had the Mazamorra and Salmorejo. They were okeyish, but I wouldn’t come back to eat them again. The place doesn’t have good acoustic so if you are looking for a place to relax, this is not the place, it was very noisy.

This is such a beautiful space to have lunch in! The cooking does not miss, either. Everything we tried was well prepared and tasty. Raquel took really good care of us in one of the hottest days in Cordoba.

We stayed at the Puerta Sevilla tavern last night. We were greeted by the very nice Marta who made us comfortable right away even without a reservation. We discovered a delicious "mazamorra" along with some very good starters. We then ordered two tartares, one of "salchichon iberico" and one of "salmon" both excellent. Sara served us, super professional, kind and very nice. Very atmospheric setting, excellent cuisine! Absolutely not to be missed

Unfortunately for us, they were doing a shoot during dinner service and kept turning the lights up, which disrupted the romantic setting. That said, it’s an amazing location with good service — but to be honest, the food was a little disappointing…

The risotto and octopus I ordered during my early dinner was nice. It’s a bit pricey, but guess the location is the reason. It was clean and airy with their high ceilings. My waitress was very nice and helpful. It’s a nice stop.

Most restaurants open at 8pm and we were ready to eat. We were in the touristy section and wanted dinner and not tapas- stumbled into this taberna which was open at 6:30. Pepe, our server, was very helpful and accommodating with our questions and concerns. The food here is inventive and not your usual Spanish dishes. I wanted rabo de toro - and it was served canneloni style. I was hesitant and was assured that I would like it and if I am not happy, I could change my order and will not be charged. I did enjoy my rabo de toro. My husband was happy with his polpo. Dessert of Tocino de Cielo was too much for us and we could not finish it. If you want an early dinner, a different take on Spanish Dishes and great service - check out this restaurant.

A restaurant that is very creative with the dishes. The food was fresh and well presented. The menu is varied catering for all tastes. I had Aubergines with honey to start and they came out looking like lollipops, followed by cuttlefish balls in a tomato sauce with creamy potato and then the mille-feuille for dessert. My partner had the garlic soup with mussels to start followed by the mushroom with prawns in a tomato and onion sauce and an unusual Orange desert. The service was good, our waiter really knew the menu, and explained the dishes when serving them.

Was looking forward to ordering the risotto boletus and it was good but not spectacular. What i was disappointed in was the service which was lacklustre. it started well with a young lady taking my order anl bringing a good red wine. I ordered the risotto and she wondered if wanted anything else making me think it wouldn't be enough. I asked for a side salad - not on the menu. She offered tomatoes, onion and leaves - perfect I thought to balance the rice. What came was a massive salad with eggs, avocado, raddichio as well as the tomatoes and onion - a meal in itself. When I said it was more than I'd ordered she said 'the chef always likes to give more' or words to that effect. She asked if I wanted bread - I declined but it was brought anyway. I didn't see her again, must have been the end of her shift. When the young waiter brought my risotto, I as still eating the salad. I explained it was more than I'd ordered and he seemed surprised, thinking I'd ordered the avocado salad. He then disappeared and no-one came to the table again to see if all was well until at last I caught the eye of, I believe the owner, to ask for another glass of wine. When I asked for the bill the salad was priced at nearly 14 euros! I said was not going to pay that for what should have been a side salad. I was prepared to pay 7. The waiter disappeared to 'ask the boss'. He returned with a revised bill with exactly the 7 euros for the salad. A long tale about a salad and a grudging response to a complaint. Very disappointing. Other reviews that the owner has replied to repeatedly says how valued they are and how they can learn. No evidence of that it seems to me yet.

Most fine dining at this place. The fried bacon, paellas, suckling lamb are unforgettable. The suckling lamb is done to perfection. Glad that we come in a group so we can try so many good food and wine here. Thank you

I came here with my parents, looking to try paella for the first time. When we ordered the seafood paella, the waiter informed us that we had to order two portions minimum for this dish, doubling the already expensive dish. We agreed since we wanted to try it. He then proceeded to pressure us in order 4 portions since he said it wouldn't be enough for all three of us. We said no many times. When the paella came, it was clear that the two portion meal was definitely enough for threw or more. Unfortunately, the rice wasn't cooked at all, so we didn't even eat/finish any of it. I don't know if they were pissed we didn't over order or what, but the food was inedible. Don't water your money here.

It’s way overrated! This is RED flag if you see this Google map positive rating with over 3.7K reviews and decide to go to this restaurant. Maybe, beginning was better? And getting worse once they become popular? The food was below average. As photo can tell, they even didn’t trim the shrimp shit. The taste was bitter and fishy with a sandy texture. Octopus tastes off like something is missing. White wine by the glass is also off. NEVER come back here.

Disappointing. Not sure why it has such a fame. The croquetas de rabo de toro did not have enough flavour and they seemed to had been fried for hours. The gambas al ajillo did not taste of garlic. The tomate aliñado was mushy and without flavour. The flamenquín was ok. We decided not to order dessert to avoid further frustrations. It’s not a good sign when the menu has so many options. Price was low but understandable given the quality. The service was ok but I would not go back again unfortunately

This establishment had a rustic and casual ambiance, with hunting-themed decorations adorning the walls. The culinary offerings were quite impressive, particularly the Pisto Cordobes, which showcased authentic home-style cooking. We also enjoyed the Atun Ecebollado. However, the service left much to be desired. Two of the items we ordered were forgotten, and when we brought this to their attention upon receiving the check, instead of apologizing for the oversight, they displayed an unprofessional attitude, implying that we were attempting to cancel the forgotten items.

Quite dissapoing, overrated .We were waiting for the table over 1h, then 40min for just salmorejo to arrive. Gambones en ajillo seemed to be off, had strange taste, too much chilli, not expected it to be so spicy. I hope not to get food poisoning afterwards. Flamenquín very oily, thick layer of breadcrumbs. Added patatas also very greasy, cold, not salted. Berenjenas the same. Instead of nice, local music, annoying beeping sound for over an hour, not sure of the source. Experience not to be repeated.

My partner and I were led here by a popular food blogger and I’m so glad we got to try this place. Highly recommend, it’s incredibly popular with locals so if you want to make sure you eat here make a booking or get here earlier than the Spanish like eat otherwise you will miss out! As usual I got there very early because I had to take a bus to Malaga, I asked for a lot of food and the waitress obviously told me it was going to be too much, story of my life, I said no. I crawled of out the place so full and tried not to explode while rolling my way to the bus station. I took so many pics this time because it was finally a restaurant with lots of vegan options and everything was so nice, in hindsight I might've ordered more and maybe ask for a doggie bag. The aubergines were amazing! The tempura Veggies too, the Thai rice was really good and all very generous, it was spicy but not quite. I do apologise for asking endlessly about allergies and nuts in everything, dip and so but I've had bad experiences and I still have so it's better safe than sorry. Thank you for everything, it was really good. An amazing place for vegans in Cordoba with traditional and international cuisine!

We had the eggplants with honey (amazing, get it), risotto with mushrooms and parmesan (amazing as well), flamenco(the Cordoba dish I guess, it was tasty and it's good to try it) and Indian curry which was tasty as well. Obviously we were satisfied with the food but the service really ruins the mood and atmosphere. 2/3 of people that served us were really moody and inattentive, not speaking English well, but one girl was really nice and spoke English. The prices were higher than anticipated. When you put an average price of a dish 13€, make sure to have serving stuff that can serve it up to its expectations. :) Ps 0,5l beer is 2,8€

Delicious dinner, great atmosphere. Our visit to Zahir last week for dinner was an amazing gastronomic experience. Every time we go to Spain I have difficulties selecting with my husband a place to eat; I want to try everything and he is more reluctant to try new things and places. Here we found great options for both of us. I ordered the Ensalada de Ahumados, which I found quite innovative and delicious, and my husband ordered the Iberica Burger... he loved the size of the meat and the homemade bread. It was a perfect atmosphere to enjoy a glass of sangria, which was just the cherry on top. This restaurant will be a must stop when we visit Cordoba again, I want to try every dish on the menu.

Great Vegan Selection, the deep fried aubergines where amazing and the chickpea filled pasta one if the best Vegan Pasta dishes I have had.

We tried the tapas tasting menu after seeing good reviews of it. Honestly, it wasn’t anything special. If you haven’t had tapas much in Spain, this would be a good spot to try a few of them in a nice comfortable environment. However, as we have already tried most of them, this wasn’t too impressive. What we mainly wanted to try was the oxtail stew as it’s highly raved on the reviews. But the portion was really small. The good part was the service and atmosphere. Although the menu doesn’t clear state it, alcohol is actually free flow so you can have as much drinks as you want for 38 euros.

We had a wonderful experience here. The person the seated us even confirmed with us my allergy and our preferences. This made me feel safe eating here. Everything we had was amazing. The salad we had to start was the best salad I have had in years. It was just perfect with the best dressing. We didn't even plan to get dessert but when the waiter told us his favorites we order the carrot cake. I bake a lot of cakes and very surprised with how good this cake was. What really got me was the frosting. It was truly amazing and perfect. I really want to know how they made the frosting and what went into it. Our waiter was attentive and friendly through out the evening. The setting is amazing. I would highly recommend this place and would go again.

Really good food - especially the pork tenderloin with onions, it was cooked so well and the flavours on the plate worked well together and were so so good. The service was attentive and fast and the staff were very nice. Would definitely recommend coming here!

I went here on my first night in Cordoba and it was the perfect intro to the city. The eggplant with honey were a revelation, and the oxtail was so tender. My waiter offered me a half portion, which I appreciated since I was alone. The staff in general was kind and fun, and the vibe is old school but not stuffy. Highly recommend. Also, the prices are great for a white tablecloth restaurant!

I like the atmosphere but unfortunately not the food. The croquettes were extremely salty and the eggplant, feta, and mint just doesn’t work in flavor and texture.

The best oxtail we had in Córdoba and Sevilla, the service was very professional and precise. The prices are slightly higher than average but for good reason. We didn't eat the dessert but they offered us a shot of PX. Highly recommend.

Wonderful restaurant with exquisite food, service and atmosphere. We had the tapas menu which was an incredible buy: 35 euros including wine, water, coffee and dessert- as well as a small glass of Fino to start and PX to finish The salmorejo was the tastiest we’ve tried. This has been the best meal we have had so far after 2 weeks in Andalucia. The wait staff were amazing- friendly, helpful and attentive. Everything about Almudaina was perfect. I will definitely return next time I am in Córdoba. We look forward to trying the rest of the menu!

I used to find their pizzas quiet ok, the last time was an absolute disaster. Pizza was too oily nachos were fine though. I asked for an spicy sauce and they offered an oil with chili inside, chilis had mold, i mentioned it to the waitress who took the bottle and i saw the guy at the bar removing chilis, then she was making fun of me, totally inappropriate behaviour, i will certainly never come back and will never recommend it!

A cool and charming place. We received a warm and kind welcome, exceptional service, and unusual and delicious pizza. We’ll be back often to sample the rest of the menu. A new favorite.

Loved our experience at La Fabbrica. We were greeted as soon as we entered and shown to a comfortable table. A lovely young lady brought me a basket to contain my hat, as I was trying to tie it onto the chair, so thoughtful. We really appreciated the option to have tap water that we had unlimited access to without having to ask. We ordered the Andy Warhol pizza and we added eggplant and spicy Italian sausage. It was delicious with a yummy crust, just the right amount of spice, and generous ingredients. Great value as well as we finished our lunch very satisfied and we were able to take half of the pizza home for another meal for each of us. Excellent service, great atmosphere, lots of choices. Highly recommended.

We followed the google reviews of the place and it’s worth to come. The food is tasty especially the salad called Burrata Man, it blew my mind coz it was fresh and delicious. The salad dressing is WOW, so refreshing!! The pizza called Gioconda was delicious and lots of cheese 👍🏻 The place looks nice with fun and friendly decorations, suitable for everyone. The service was also great, Aldo was so so attentive and informative to us 😊 Love the food, place and services, RECOMMENDED.

Great place with one waiter that does all the work, locals hang at the bar and locals and tourists alike eat at the tables. Great food, the wine chorizo is spectacular and the carne with tomatoes is a stand out as well. Let’s of food and 8 glasses of red and the bill for 2 of us was under 50 euros.

Wonderful historic bullfighting bar in the heart of Cordoba. Warm service and excellent local tapas, as well as vino fino (dry sherry), from the barrel. A place Hemingway would love.

Great little tapas venue with old school service. We arrived early and got prime seats and had two rounds of tapas. Our favourite dish was the tripe in tomato sauce and we paired it with the local wine. We managed to order food and drinks with the help of Google translate as they don't speak English there. But it was still a great meal at very reasonable prices. I would come back here again.

Super authentic tavern serving authentic Andalusian tapas at super affordable prices! Hole in the wall vibes, not too crowded nor touristy… this is the place to dine if you’re in Cordoba. Super love the chorizos in wine, anchovies, tripe in chili oil, but almost everything was great. Ordered so many tapas, beer, sangria and as you can see, 15 eur per pax!

Really enjoyed our breakfast here. We got fresh orange juice and cheese & tomato tostadas which were yummy and fresh. We then got a half portion of churros which was very filling! The churros are a little oily but very fresh and authentic. We had ours with hot chocolate to dip. The interiors are not very fancy but its nice for a quick bite. Prices were reasonable so would recommend.

Terrible service, they can't manage the place. No one speaks a word of English - very embarrassing. Reasonable food, coffee was good and a very cheap place! However, if you are a tourist, try to avoid this place.

Loved this place for a quick Spanish breakfast. We were served by a friendly amd very speedy waiter! Churros and Chocolate were great and we had a simple Tuna Tostada each which were very flavoursome. Would recommend to all.

Nice cafeteria in Córdova. We came a group of 7 for some breakfast. I had my favorite: freshly squeezed orange juice. They have a nice toast with bacon and tomato. The Spanish Tortilla is not bad. The Churros were alright. Service was excellent. It was super busy but we didn’t have to wait long. It has two floors. We ate downstairs.

If you want to early light up your chilly morning ,fir example in April temperature goes easily from 8 to 34 clinics. Come and have some typical fried dough called churros or porras depending on the region. Excellent and fast service. I only had breakfast but they have food all day long

Clean with plenty of seating (check downstairs). Churros were good and are ranked 13th in Spain. The chocolate is lactose free and recommended over the coffee which has notable C. robusta flavor notes.

We had a lovely meal here and tried some unique dishes, which we loved - bacalao with orange and pickled turkey with peppers. The half serve sizes were generous. Mostly Spanish/local diners, which is what we're looking for. The guy serving us was so busy but still provided us great service.

This place is beyond expectation. It made such an impression that came for both lunch and dinner & repeated ordering the artichoke dish that reminded my friend of his grandmother’s cooking. Had I spoke a bit of Spanish I would have asked the restaurant if they organise cooking classes for foreigners. Portions are generous and all dishes deliver gourmet quality. Personally I would say the Asadillos de pimientos and Salmorejo were my 2 favorite dishes. My friend picked the Alchachofas a la montillana and Rabo de toro as his favorites. It would be interesting to see whether the restaurant would bake its own bread in the future to complete the experience.

I had salmorejo, fried eggplant and rabo de toro and everything was delicious. The service was great, they suggested trying the traditional dessert from Cordoba that was also really good. I’d recommend it and come here again next time I’m in Cordoba.

All of the people there were locals and the food they served was traditional cuisine from cordoba. We had oxtail stew, grilled port sirloin and their traditional tomato soup. Highly recommend!

Classic Spanish bar de barrio. The service is non-pretentious - you get what you get. Well priced traditional foods.

Lovely restaurant tucked away to the west of the old town. Great atmosphere, with lots of local customers rather than a tourist trap restaurant. Food was excellent, the venison stew was melt in the mouth, bacalao super light and we also had the pork steak which was delicious. A nice bottle of Douro Valley Crianza and some lovely recommendations for the puddings. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Nice (little too simple) but expensive vegetarian toast €4. Terrible soya cappuccino - it was more like an americano - watered down so couldn’t taste the coffee much. No Wi-Fi. Service - average. Lovely interior and nice vibes. The waitress didn’t speak English.

The place is extraordinarily. Kind of an hipsters place. Got here in the first opening minutes and this place just got full. Very healthy tasty and beautiful food. The place design is really cool and have great smells.

Really nice place with good and healthy breakfast. The staff is really nice & polite and bilingual so there isn’t gonna be a language barrier if you speak English. The place is filled with positive energy and good music. I absolutely recommend this place for a good breakfast.

Quaint little hole in the wall breakfast joint. Good selection of tostadas (toast) and their equivalents in croissant, sandwiches coffee and freshly squeezed juices. It was nice to have the croissant option as several days of tostadas can be a little rough on the palette due to the rough texture of the baguette like bread. So croissants a very welcome change! The freshly squeezed juices were really nice and perfectly blended with various fruits and veggies. Coffee could be stronger, but that could be a personal preference thing. Great for a nice morning start to the day of walking around town.

This rather small cafe is a nice place to have a quick breakfast in the city centre, compared to other places. However, the food is rather average, even the croissant with ham and cheese had a sugar on top

Good coffee and very rich menu. The carrot cake was decent and I loved the muesli. The location is great and the decoration is awesome. The coffee shop opens slightly later than expected. Credit card is accepted.

The churros are fresh and not oily, it is the best we have in Spain. The waiters are very nice, even we don’t speak Spanish, they understand what we want and treat us well. We came again the next morning to enjoy the churros. The price is very reasonable and we highly recommend.

This place had amazing churros. Fluffy on the outside yet crispy on the outside. Our server, Ricardo, was an absolute legend. He took care of us during a very busy time at the restaurant. Fantastic churros. Not oily, a bit salty, big, not some basic ones from a supermarket. In a group of 5 we ordered 3 coffees, 3 bottles of water, 2 plates of churros + chocolate and this was more than enough. Although glasses to drink from were a bit dirty. We paid 15,70€. Amazing price for the amount of food we ordered. Great place to eat for cheap.

We found this place via Google reviews so feel compelled to repay the favour. It was an excellent spot for breakfast - we attempted to order 2 chocolate con churros but was cautioned that it would be too much so the waitress suggested alternatives. This was really appreciated for someone new to the local breakfast culture. The hot chocolate was superb; churros were great (airy and not doughy); the toast with tomato and jamon was delicious really crunchy and good. Fantastic and friendly service too, we felt great starting off our day with breakfast here. It gets busy and for good reason!

Definitely the best churros to be had when you are in Córdoba. I've been here multiple times and didn't have a bad experience. Waiters can be in a hurry, but that's understandable since there are lots of people coming in and out. "Chocolate y churros" is what you want to get. Churros on its own isn't sweet, but that's how it's supposed to be around here. If you want something that's not sweet, you can get a "tostada" with a coffee, although the coffee isn't great. Overall, an iconic spot in Córdoba, would recommend.

Went to this bar after it was recommended by a friend. They serve good food in HUGE portions. An order of their homemade Flamenquin could easily feed 3-4 people. Everything was super sized and tasty. Good place to hangout and dine with friends or family.

The kitchen DOES NOT WORK ALL DAY. I almost got divorced because of this place. They are open but do not serve food all day. The flamenquin is huge but the ends of serrano they use to fill it can not be chewed. The pinchitos morunos are very tasty.

Disappointing. Their famous flamenquin " the best in Cordoba" came after 45 minutes ( at 930 pm when not very busy) as cold, hard and dry. Could be used as a police baton. Service friendly but very disorganized. Beer fine but for the rest...eat at home. Unfortunate.

Great place to dine alfresco for a very reasonable price. We were there during the May Festival and it was a hopping place with plenty to see as the locals, dressed to the nines passed by to and fro from the fairgrounds.

Even if i cannot speak spanish, i can easly order dinner from the google menew pictures! And price is quite reasonable beacause it is on the center of city only 5euros

Great place to have a quick bite to eat whilst visiting the old city of Cordoba just over the old stone bridge spanning the Guadalquivir river! Very reasonably priced and not too bad a service considering they were packed out because of it being mothers day here! Typical regional dishes as well as some other more western style food! A Large range of dishes to choose from! 👍

My star rating is based on how the restaurant delivers for its class. It's a great inexpensive streetside bar/restaurant. Cross the bridge and avoid the overpriced tourist trap places. Roast chicken is the specialty, and was great, but the langoustines in garlic and the eggplant in honey were standouts. Scan the qr code for the menu in multiple languages plus pictures of the dishes. €31 for too much food and too much wine for two.

A humble yet awesome neighbourhood coffee place. We loved the vibes and the tasty tostadas. Located in a quaint square surrounded by residential buildings, the morning was nice and quiet and we enjoyed the coffee here. Perfect start to our day, before all the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas.

Excellent breakfast! It’s a small cafe in a corner of a plaza, a hole-in-the-wall kind of place. We got the toast set, where you can choose homemade butter and marmalade, tomato or ham to go with your bread. And you get a good cup of coffee as well. The lady owner is so friendly and pleasant, she threw in a tiny shot of orange juice to kickstart the meal. Absolutely lovely!
