Outdoor Activities
Weymouth Beach is a popular destination in Dorset, known for its three miles of golden sands and clear blue waters. It offers stunning views of the bay and the Jurassic Coast. The beach is conveniently located just minutes from the town center and hosts various seaside events and attractions, such as the Jurassic Skyline gondola ride and Sandworld's sand sculpture festival.
Weymouth Beach is one of the most beautiful and family-friendly beaches on the south coast of England. With its *golden sand*, *gentle waves*, and *shallow waters*, it’s ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and beach games. The beach is clean, well-maintained, and has lifeguards during peak times, adding to the safety and comfort. There’s a classic British seaside charm here, with *donkey rides*, *ice cream stands*, *punch and judy shows*, and plenty of cafés and shops nearby. The long promenade is perfect for a walk with sea views, and there's easy access to toilets and seating areas. A perfect spot for a relaxing day out with family or friends — peaceful, scenic, and full of coastal charm. Highly recommended!
Muhammad K — Google review
Excellent beach, dog’s allowed on west beach only until 30th September, plenty of parking but at £4.80/hr near the sea front a bit expensive, if you are prepared to walk it is cheaper near the swannery car park. Plenty of shop’s, cafe’s, etc. Worth a visit
Lawrence O — Google review
Lovely area, we attend the motocross annually and always great atmosphere and brilliant stalls with plenty of food options. Shops and easy parking nearby, handy disabled spaces down the seafront.
Casey B — Google review
Weymouth Beach is a beautiful and clean seaside spot with soft pebbles and clear waters. The gentle waves and scenic views make it perfect for a peaceful walk or relaxing by the shore. The promenade nearby adds to the charm with plenty of cafés and ice cream stalls. A lovely place to enjoy the classic English seaside atmosphere!
Harsha J — Google review
A beautiful clean beach Its always warm on the sea front Plenty of places to sit or eat. Definitely recommend Weymouth its lovely
Angel D — Google review
One of many amazing beaches on the Dorset coast, not as easy to find a parking space unless you use the car parks either end of the beach or use the park and ride from outside the town. Once there the lovely well looked after beaches are so beautiful and through the summer many families enjoy and use the many amenities for souvenirs and snacks to evening meals with plenty of restaurant choice. It has a all year dog friendly beach either side of main beach and dog friendly everywhere after 30th September. The harbour and Nothe fort walks are amazing too.
Graeme B — Google review
I really enjoyed our walk on the beach. Wide open beach, plenty of cafes and restarants, arcades and friendly people all around. We were there in October so I can imagine it is gets very busy in summer But I would recommend going off peak
Hersha C — Google review
We went in late october. Drizzling with rain on and off but it is still gorgeous there. Lovely long sandy beach. Dogs are allowed. And just crossed the road to shops and cafe.

Nothe Fort is a captivating open museum located in a Victorian coastal fort with intricate tunnels and captivating film and diorama displays. Originally constructed between 1860-1872, the fort has been repurposed into a museum showcasing coastal defense artifacts, exhibitions, and interactive displays. Visitors can immerse themselves in the historical significance of wartime technology while enjoying special events held throughout the year. Additionally, dog owners can bring their furry companions to explore the green spaces surrounding the fort.
Amazing place to visit steeped in history for construction, dereliction in the 70's to restoration to what it is today. There's a lot to see with interactive displays and exhibits for the younger visitors. It took us 2 visits to see it all which is another plus for the place as the ticket price doubles as an annual pass. The on site catering facilities are excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and on hand to chat and discuss anything you may want to ask them. It's a remarkable place and we're glad we visited. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for something to do in Weymouth and you can then enjoy the gardens after your visit if you have time.
Grahame E — Google review
The scenery here is truly breathtaking — a perfect blend of history, nature, and the sea all in one place. It’s a spot that definitely deserves more appreciation and care. While the natural beauty is undeniable, the area would benefit from better maintenance and cleanliness. Adding more benches and picnic tables would make it even more enjoyable for families and visitors. The restroom facilities don’t seem to fully meet the needs of the visitors either. Still, despite these small shortcomings, it’s a magnificent place where you can relax, enjoy the view, and feel completely refreshed."
Emel D — Google review
An absolutely brilliant experience that takes you on a journey of the history of the original Victorian fort through two World Wars and then the Cold War, when part of the fort was used as a Nuclear Bunker. The films and exhibits are superb and the D-Day exhibition, which highlights the role of Weymouth in the D-Day landings and Operation Overlord, is outstanding. There are also amazing views across Weymouth, the Jurassic Coast and Portland. There's a great little café too! It's well worth the entrance fee!
Chris K — Google review
A wonderful place to visit. There are lifts to the different levels and the majority of items are step free. There are well laid out ramps that are suitable for wheelchairs. There is plenty of parking which is not free outside the venue. There is a sloping down hill walk go the entrance. A well stocked shop which you enter and exit the site. There is a large cafe and lots of seating inside and out. Disabled toilet next to the cafe. The rooms around the site are well laid out with lots of information
Abi S — Google review
Brilliant afternoon here with my wife and parents. The fort has loads of information about its history over its three levels in its labyrinthine tunnels and has spectacular coastal views looking out across the English Channel. I would definitely recommend this amazing place allow yourself up to four hours to go round the fort.
Ashley W — Google review
Excellent experience. Great day out. Lots of interesting exhibitions and a maze of tunnels. The cold War exhibits and nuclear bunker really interesting. Lovely cafe serving light lunches volunteers very friendly and helpful, the accessibility very good there is a lift that goes from the ramparts all the way down to the tunnels. Lots of ramps everywhere very impressive
Rachel D — Google review
Nothe Fort is a fascinating historic site with amazing views over Weymouth Bay and the harbour. The fort is well preserved, with interesting exhibits, tunnels, and displays that bring its history to life. The staff and volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable, making the visit even more enjoyable. A perfect mix of history, scenery, and fun — a must-visit attraction in Weymouth!
Harsha J — Google review
An absolutely brilliant place to visit. Every member of staff was polite, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. The whole experience was fantastic but stumbling upon the Nuclear shelter was an unexpected highlight. Would 100% recommend

Sandsfoot Castle, a cliffside castle ruin dating back to the 16th century, is renowned for its tranquil gardens and stunning sea views. Originally built in 1539 as part of Henry VIII's coastal defense strategy, the Tudor artillery castle was eventually abandoned by the military in the mid-17th century.
We walked from chesil Beach to sands foot we did not know this was here, lovely gardens and a nice little cafe with Toilet and Henry v111 Castle. we had lovely ice cream a 99 nice and creamy go a long you will enjoy

Great place to relax and enjoy the views across to Portland. Has a lovely kiosk on site offering refreshments with lovely staff there. Can be busy on sunny days and weekends. Beautifully maintained gardens and water feature. Perfect place to chill with a good book, a coffee and bite to eat.
Grahame E — Google review
Beautiful scenery across the bay, relaxing, plenty of places to sit amongst the beautiful gardens. Cafe serving wonderful snacks, we had amazing clotted cream scone, whole strawberries🍓. Castle ruins lovely to see, fenced off due to damage but still amazing to see/read about it.
Jillian O — Google review
A haven of flora and fauna..... Still fish in the pond... And it so reminds me of the other beautiful gardens .. Green hill.. I usually pop in,on the way along the rodwell trail..x Which in itself is a Joy too the eye.. Especially between the two bridges.. Where nature has turned it into a beautiful unexpected valley of nature trees. There's actually badger sets . Anyway back too sandsfoot. The castle is in ruins ,and has been that way all of my life. you could get down a staircase onto the little beach ⛱️... Still can get down too the beach if you walk further up the road from the castle.. Which is ideal for families. There a path ,like I said down too the beach . And this path (underbarn)eventually goes too the other large park across a bridge ... The Nothe... Which is more busy but beautiful views and one or two nice little cafes . Especially the one in the stone pier ... Which actually bakes it own cakes .✨⛱️💯🧑‍🍳🥯🥪🍝

Really lovely park with beautiful flowers, the castle ruins and great seaside views
Terike — Google review
Very interesting reading about the history of the castle. Lovely little cafe and park.
Roger F — Google review
The gardens were well maintained and great to spend an hour to relax with castle ruins in the background. The Rodwell trail starts just uphill from here and is the best route for getting to isle of Portland on foot. My only negative is that there were nettles obstructing some of the sea view

Weymouth Harbour is a vibrant and bustling boating marina with a rich history dating back to Roman times. It remains a thriving destination, attracting pleasure boats and offering shower facilities. The harbor played significant roles in historical events such as the Spanish Armada and the Civil War. Visitors can enjoy the picturesque sight of fishing boats, colorful houses, and nearby sandy beaches.
Weymouth harbour is a traditional and long in history. It is very beautiful in colour and atmosphere. They are pletty of pubs cafes, fish and chips, and sea food fresh that day. Colourful houses. It's great for crabbing and also has music festivals on the other side. Weymouth is a traditional seaside town, with a beautiful beach and so much to do.

Very enjoyable stroll along both sides of this picturesque harbor & town. Arrived on a cruise ship, opting to venture out on our own & soak up some uniquely European ambiance in this - our first port across 'the pond' - since crossing over from Florida ... Mission Accomplished👍
Dave B — Google review
Beautiful harbour surrounded by lovely shops, cafes, pubs & restaurants. It’s lovely just to sit and watch the comings and goings of the boats.
Tracey K — Google review
I love the place. I walk about the place at least once a day. The place always looks different. Morning, afternoon or Night time. It can get very very busy around the harbour on both sides when it's warm and the holiday season. Plenty of places to buy food and other shops. They also do a Christmas day swim across the harbour. Which I found pretty cool as it was Christmas day and the place was the busiest I had seen it at any one give time. The land train buzz's round that way also when it's running. Also a good place too park your Boat up and tease me 😂
Joe S — Google review
Good to see an active fishing industry in the harbour. There are brightly coloured houses lining the harbour waterfront and a few quayside pubs, cafes and restaurants. Seems like the place for fresh seafood although I was too early in the morning for that.
Chris G — Google review
Absolutely love this place it's like heaven totally my vibe so much to see and do
Shelley K — Google review
Been to harbour side for a walk. Such an elegant view from the bridge. Colourful buildings just amazing and making very different impact on the atmosphere around harbour area. Just beautiful place, water, blue sky, fishing boats, excellent pubs, nice eating places, happy people and charming atmosphere. I'm so happy that came to this place and spend my all day this lovely city.

So much too see, plenty places to eat and drink, lots of people walking, dinning, sailing, crabbing and so much more. Lovely atmosphere, We went to the "Quayside" for cake and coffee, we sat outside as the sun was shinning, friendly and pleasant staff and the coffee and cake were delicious. The bridge had just gone up, lots of people on the quayside both sides waiting to cross. Boats exiting and entering Weymouth harbour. All was very Very enjoyable.

Bennetts Water Gardens is a picturesque landscape featuring ponds, lakes, a Japanese bridge, and a local history museum. The gardens cover eight acres of land that was once an old brickworks clay quarry. It is home to the National Plant Collection of water lilies and offers grassy walking areas, woodland trails with wheelchair access, and a Tropical House showcasing warm-climate plants. The venue also serves as an ideal location for weddings with its vibrant colors and serene ambiance.
Beautiful idyllic place with many kinds of water lilies and other plants. Visiting and admiring takes about an hour, although it is worth booking a little longer. There is a cafe and toilets on site. There are several gazebos where you can sit, a few small benches around the ponds, as well as a picnic area with a game of checkers. The picnic area is small (two tables). A nice place for a family or friendly walk. A wonderful place for artists, painter's to catch their inspiration. Dogs are not allowed in the gardens. In June, there were lots of lilies, a heron, small and large swans and ducks, and lots of dragonflies. The price list can be found on the website. Group entries should be booked in advance. The car park has about 20 free spaces, spaces for disabled people are located closer to the entrance. I recommend it.
Carole N — Google review
Beautiful water gardens, lovely relaxing place to go. Beautiful vistas, take your camera as there are lots of photo opportunities. Lots of little seating areas & pagodas to rest awhile & take it all in. Friendly staff in cafe & shop & around the grounds. We had a lovely day.
Shiona M — Google review
So beautiful! Lots of places to sit and enjoy the pools. Lots of wildlife and gorgeous lilies to see. There is an accessible route around the gardens.
Amy M — Google review
A hidden gem of a water garden. We have driven past so many times without taking note of the signs. It’s set in a secluded clay pit and has been extensively developed since its days a Lilly farm. Good parking facilities especially the cafe. There are picnic facilities but tables are limited so take a blanket. Allow yourself 4hours including either lunch and a browse of the plant shop. Nice but limited range of plants specific to their conditions. My only comment was that on the bank holiday afternoon the cashier was perhaps not the best person to handle and pack plants. Rather robust handling left broken leaves on our return home. Health plants have now settled in nicely. We will certainly visit again probably later in May when more of the Lille’s would be in flower.
Andrew B — Google review
Beautiful. Starts well with an enthusiastic and informative welcome. Lovely pathways between the ponds although not all suitable for wheels. The lilies were just starting to bloom and other nature was ready to show off. Swans with cygnets, a single heron and more dragon flies than you can keep track of. Finished off with a lovely coffee and sandwich. Well worth a visit.
David S — Google review
Been before in 2008 and it's just as nice today. Take a stroll around the gardens and enjoy the sights and sounds. The Monet cafe is really good and has a nice variety of food and drinks.
Mark T — Google review
This was our first visit and it certainly won't be our last. This is a glorious place to visit if you love Water Lilies, Dragon Flies and Damsel Flies 😍😍😍We couldn't believe how massive and beautiful these gardens are. The Monet cafe is lovely, especially on a sunny day when you can sit outside and look into the garden.
Karen F — Google review
Visited for the first time while we were on holiday (early May) so the Water lillies were just beginning to flower - they start to flower from May through to September/beginning of October. Some lovely walks around the various ponds with benches to enable you to pause and enjoy the tranquility. Can't wait to return. As a tip, check their website with regard to opening days/hours as it changes depending on the season.

RSPB Radipole Lake is a serene nature reserve located in the heart of Weymouth, offering picturesque wetlands and pathways for observing various waterfowl species like swans and ducks. The reserve features a family-friendly discovery center housed in a charming thatched cottage, providing information about the diverse birdlife that can be spotted from the wooden walkways across the wetlands.
So many birds in the reserve just watchingthem by the cafe. There was also fish in the water ,alot my friendsfush here.. It's a nice long walk and you can spend most of the day there. It's a 20 min walk to rspb lodmoor. Good to see they laid a new layer on the path, as it gets flooded and can't walk through. Enjoyable walk around, peaceful and quite.
Hug D — Google review
Beautiful place with a quaint little café overseeing the lake. Lots of bird species can be seen here, such as Marsh Harriers, cormorants, bearded tits, swans, herons, and lots of other birds too!
Flower V — Google review
Entry was free. The thatched building has a cafe with a large window to view part of the lake and some outdoor seating. You have to be prepared for the fact that a lot of the area is covered in reeds which are necessary for the birds to nest and be safe. I saw ducks, carp, swans, sygnets, heron, swallows, marsh harrier. It's a lovely peaceful place to walk around. It's a five star space for the animals. The only downside for me was the fact that I could always hear the hum of traffic in the distance, hence 4 stars.
Nicola T — Google review
Fantastic place, beautiful walk and wildlife. Shame about the teenagers hanging around causing bother.
Tamara T — Google review
Wonderful nature reserve for birds, insects and small mammals. The trails are a great way to see ducks and swans further up the lake and you can get some lovely photos from the hide. The staff at the Radipole Lake Cafe are helpful and friendly. We'll worth a visit if you like a walk amount nature.
Shez W — Google review
Lovely to have such a natural area open to the public. Some of the pathways are a bit overgrown. Sadly lots of litter and graffiti on seating areas. Lots of parking. ( pay to park). Now to the cafe….. I took my elderly mum in for a coffee and a cake. The server was unbelievably rude. Muttering under her breath. Every thing we asked for she tutted and eye rolled and told us it wasn’t available. Now to the rude bit. My mum is 88 years young. She is sprightly and alert. She is a little hard of hearing. This server asked my mum, “do you want a big plate or a small plate for your scone”? Before my mum could answer she said “oh just have a big plate” and banged it on the counter. The server then shouted “do you want just butter or butter and jam”? My mum started to answer and the server talked over her, “of course you do don’t you” she turned her back in my mum and slammed the fridge door after getting out the butter. She tutted and sighed and rolled her eyes when my mum paid with cash and took 5 seconds to get hold of a 20p coin. She shoved the tray towards us and turned her back. I was so taken aback. I wanted to have this out with the server but my mum was distressed and didn’t want a scene. RSPB this is not okay. To treat an elderly lady in such a rude and abrupt manner is absolutely not okay. How very sad, disrespectful and unnecessary. I do not recommend this cafe at all.
Sally W — Google review
A small easily accessible nature reserve on the edge of Weymouth. Good foot paths and lots of watching lookouts. A couple of hides as well. Good cafe with large windows look over the lake.
Rog E — Google review
What can I say...! We used to come here regularly as children, up to 10yr olds. There used to be bird watchers hides, but now I'm 50yrs old... there is nothing to see but tall grasses over 6ft. Even with binoculars you wouldn't be able to see anything as it's too over grown. No birdwatching hides either, unless they were hidden in the long grass/reeds.

Weymouth Pavilion, situated on the harbor wall at the southern end of the esplanade, has a rich history dating back to its construction in 1908 as the Ritz Theatre. Despite being requisitioned during WWII and later destroyed by fire in 1954, it still exudes vintage seaside charm. The theater hosts a variety of shows including music performances, wrestling matches, and dance classes. It is particularly popular during summer with family-friendly shows.
A great venue offering a wide variety of high quality entertainment. Phil and Lou have brought this theatre complex to life over the years. Their sensitivity to both local and more distant audiences tastes and needs is uncannily accurate. One of the best happenings that Weymouth has had the honour of experiencing. You have breathed life into a once nearly doomed (by our out of touch council) iconic building. Long live the Say family.

Decent theatre with good views of the stage even up on the circle. The sound is pretty good, the bar is reasonably priced and the view from the 1st floor bar is lovely. The toilets are quite small but there are several around to use. The staff are welcoming and friendly. I’ve visited a couple of times when in town and thoroughly enjoyed it both times.

A quiet and beautiful picnic spot with simply stunning views of Weymouth Town, seafront, harbour and bay. Go equipped with chopped grapes or sweetcorn and you will have comical company in the crows and rooks that inhabit the clifftop trees. This is just a magical place.

Still, despite these small shortcomings, it’s a magnificent place where you can relax, enjoy the view, and feel completely refreshed."

Amusement park
Alexandra Gardens is a small park area located on the seafront in Weymouth. It features classic arcade games, fairground rides for smaller kids, and plenty of traditional seaside entertainment. The gardens are situated near St Alban Street, a narrow road with interesting shops and food places. The area was once home to Weymouth Gardens Theatre which opened in 1924.
Amusement arcade, the best one in Weymouth for children, has games, kiosk selling hot food, freshly cooked sugared donuts and hot and cold drinks. Staff are nice. Seating area and with grassy area.

Best arcade in Weymouth. Next to beach ⛱️ it has fair ground, arcades, 2p slots, win tickets for prizes, claw machine. Alot of amusement machines. Easy use fair ground with tokens and cash machines. Kiosk to cash in your tickets. Toilets and food here to.
Hug D — Google review
A fantastic arcade and fairground! It’s the first one I’ve seen that uses a payment card system to store your credits and tickets, which makes everything so much easier than scrambling for pound coins. Just a note — the card only works in this arcade, as the others along the esplanade still use their own systems (tokens, cash, etc.). There are a good handful of rides for younger kids — my two girls went on everything at least a hundred times! Inside, the arcade is packed with the latest machines and games, so you’re guaranteed to find something you’ll get hooked on. The only downsides were that it’s a bit tricky to get around with a pushchair (understandable given how busy it is), and the ticket feeder machine wasn’t syncing properly with the arcade card system — the screen was blacked out for some reason.
Kristian J — Google review
Pretty good value for an arcade. The kids won enough tickets for a popcorn maker. The rides outside are looking quite tired.
Dan D — Google review
Disgusting attempt to keep young kids 2+ safe. The pirate ship has left my child completely traumatized after the ride and during the rides venture. After being strap in next to his younger cousin happily to next hearing distressing sound of crying a shocking discovery was made by his dad and other family members that his seat belt that should have been check over by staff and should have personally strapped the kids in from the staff came easily slipping out of place from what should have been across his body to it swiftly finding itself tight on and across his neck . If my partner wasn’t on the ship with them and my little boy hadn’t cried out for his dad from the discomfort, pain and suffering he was left feeling this could have been fatal. Choking hazards are no joke. I dread thinking what could have happened had my future sister in law and mother in law had not been there to witness it together with his dad and hadn’t they made the staff stop the ride when they did. They both made many attempts to warn the one staff who was in charge of the ride while they were fortunate to be standing outside of the ride. They found the staff who they were communicating to be lacking urgency and care to the severity to the situation. No remorse or apologetic action from staff after getting the kids out and when warned that they needed to safely stop the ship. They were rude and dismissive towards my family members and was reluctant to stop the ship. No child or parent/ family members should have to suffer from the negligence and ignorance of its staff and from the lack of health safety the people who are in charge of this ride that was carelessly put out on the pavement for the public to use for entertainment for the public’s kids to enjoy. I hold the people and it’s staff fully accountable for this disgusting act of public safety and kid friendly entertainment. I hope this complaint helps other parents prevent what they couldn’t for us… Safe and happy kids enjoying a long fun ride.
Crystal D — Google review
Attending the funfair was a delightful experience. It was great to see that the prices for the rides and attractions were quite reasonable, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy. A particularly positive aspect was the option to purchase single tokens. This flexibility allowed for trying out a variety of rides without committing to a larger, bundled purchase, which is convenient and budget-friendly. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable outing with fair pricing and convenient token options for small children.

This is a delightful location, offering a more affordable and pleasurable experience compared to other attractions.

Had hot food and soft drinks at the sweets and treats hut. Very good price. Lovely curry sauce. Very pleased. Rides for the kids and amusement arcade if you like that. Loos in the arcade. Picnic tables were metal so will get hot in the sun. Directly opposite is St Albans street which is packed with independent shops. Definitely will be back for chips and curry sauce!

Aquarium
SEA LIFE Centre Weymouth is a renowned tropical paradise in the heart of a vibrant city, offering family-friendly exhibits with a variety of sea creatures. Visitors can explore coral caves, lagoons, and ocean depths to marvel at sharks, stingrays, otters, seahorses, and giant crabs. The park is known for its great conservation work and features rescued sea turtles, seals, penguins (including Fairy Penguins), sharks, rays, and more.
Lovely aquarium. We had an amazing time. The fish have plenty of space and seem happy, as do the penguins and other animals. Staff were friendly. Facilities were clean and well cared for. We came out of season, but I can imagine it would be amazing in the summer. They have lots of activities for kids, including a little water play area.
Lisa P — Google review
Went here on a lovely sunny and warm day which is great as a lot of the attractions are outside and ideal for young kids that can play in the play park and water splash areas. Not as many inside tank areas as in other sea life centres. Good access for wheelchair users. Blue badge parking adjacent to the premier Inn car park. Wheelchair accessible toilets are quite small.
Steven P — Google review
I had a good time at Sea Life, everything was clean and the exhibits were well presented. That said, I’d recommend going on a weekend when the full experience is available. Visiting on a Monday meant only the drinks section of the gift shop (located at the exit) was open, and the food kiosks were shut, which was a letdown if, like me, you fancy a drink and a bite to eat during your visit. The signage could definitely be improved. We had to exit through the Shark section just to find our way out via the gift shop, and we weren’t the only ones, other visitors ended up following me through the same confusing route. Overall, it was a decent few hours out, but for a smoother, more complete visit, especially with family - I’d say stick to the weekend.
Clare B — Google review
We visited on a weekday in early November and spent just over 2 hours here. We were very surprised at the size of the site and the large variety of animals housed here. The aquarium is spread out over a few buildings, each housing a themed exhibition from rock pools to rainforests and coral reefs. Each exhibit includes detailed information signs and screens providing more information about the animals and marine life houses here. They also host a variety of free talks and feeding sessions throughout the day and we found these to be very informative. Our highlight was visiting the seals in their open-air pool with underwater viewing area. In addition to the aquarium exhibits, there are also a variety of play areas and other attractions which would certainly keep younger visitors entertained (and could easily extend the visit from a few hours to a day out). There is also a gift shop and cafe at the exit. The site is fairly flat and there are tarmac paths throughout which would make it very accessible for prams, buggies and wheelchairs. There are also lots of signs and maps dotted around the site (as well as the free map they give you when you enter) so you can easily find the exhibits you are looking for. You are also able to pop out and return later in the day if needed. The staff here were all very friendly and helpful and also incredibly knowledgeable. They were a credit to Sea Life and made us feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Sea Life Weymouth and would happily return in future.
Gethin S — Google review
Perfect place to visit with family or if you love sea life. It’s not as big as the one in London which I visited before, but it’s still a really nice one. If you can, try to get there around 1 PM so you can catch all the feeding times. The place is small but very well designed, and you don’t really need a guide. Just grab a map from the entrance and you’ll easily find your way around. The one thing I felt was missing was food. There were souvenir shops everywhere, but a coffee machine or a small snack corner inside would’ve been great. The only spot for a warm drink was the cafeteria at the exit. Other than that, it’s a fun and relaxing experience
Ernesto — Google review
We had a lovely visit to the Sea Life Centre in Weymouth. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the whole place was clean and well looked after. The kids enjoyed seeing all the different sea creatures, and it was a fun family day out overall. That said, we were quite frustrated that none of the refreshment shops were open until the very end. By the time we reached the exit café, it was a bit too late. For the price of the tickets, we were expecting a bit more from the experience. Still, we had a great time and made some nice memories.
Brad R — Google review
Very accessible for a scooter user, only one bridge by the otters wasn't but there was another way around. The aquariums are indoors but you go outside to get to each one and to see the penguins and otters, be aware of this and have a poncho with you!
Peters P — Google review
This is a really small Sea Life, 2 hours and you will have seen everything. The animals and fish appear well cared for. The staff are well informed, courteous and friendly. The cafe by the gift shop served good coffee and had a fair selection of snacks available.

Sandworld Weymouth is a captivating gallery featuring impressive sand sculptures and a hands-on sand pit for visitors to unleash their creativity. The exhibition showcases the remarkable work of renowned sand sculptors, with themes changing annually. This year's display revolves around sci-fi films and TV series, offering an opportunity to witness artists crafting their masterpieces throughout the season. Additionally, the venue houses a charming coffee shop for guests to relax and enjoy refreshments.
This is such a great place to visit especially if you have children! There are some super sculptures to look at, but the hands on activities were a hit with my little girl. She enjoyed using the sand equipment to create her own tower and later she used the sand art to create her own personalised gift. The staff were all friendly and the prices in the cafe were also reasonable.

My girls really enjoyed Sandworld. They are 8 years and 1 year. The sand sculptures are amazing. Lots for children to do, sand art and then play areas to build castles etc....We were there about 2 hours. They have a cafe which we got a drink and snack from, a good choice of items. This is a perfect rainy day activity as it is 90% under cover.

This place is fascinating! The sculptures are amazing and spectacular to see. I really liked the fact that you can see some inspired by pop culture like Disney movies or Harry Potter. My favorite was Fantastic Beasts! The museum is quite small but there’s also a little game to win some candies at the end of your tour. It gives a bit of fun to the visit even if you’re an adult. I really liked it and would love to come back in the future to see the next sculptures.

*Sandworld* in Weymouth is a unique and fascinating attraction that showcases the incredible art of sand sculpting. Located near the beach, this indoor exhibition features *amazing life-sized sand sculptures* crafted by talented artists from around the world. The themes change each year — from movies and history to fantasy and wildlife — making every visit feel fresh and exciting. It’s both fun and educational, with informative displays about the artists and techniques. Kids especially love the interactive sandpit area where they can try sculpting themselves. Perfect for families, art lovers, or anyone looking for something creative and different in Weymouth. A hidden gem worth visiting!

Oh boy... This was fun. Special thanks to Fynn- we had a blast. Incredible what sand and water can do with kinda adults. The sculptures were pretty incredible to watch, also some information signs stood by nearly each piece of art. You can grab a tin of cold drink, have a snack, make your own colourful sand bottle or most fun part: try your best doing sand sculptures. Fynn showed us how to work with the material and then it was our turn to try.... What else to say? We're highly recommended this attraction for few hours of fun (also as grownups!)
Melanie B — Google review
We enjoyed our trip to Sandworld! Its only small but we still spent time there, the displays are fascinating to look at and read about! There was a quiz to do as you go round which encouraged you to read more! The cafe was good, we just had a drink and a slice of blackberry crumble cake which was delicious. The gift shop has interesting bits and is very fair in price.

Tudor House Museum in Weymouth is a well-preserved 17th-century building located on Trinity Street, which used to be part of the old harbor. The three-story house was built at the beginning of the 17th century and features traditional double gable architecture. Originally situated by the water's edge, it now stands as a museum furnished to resemble a 17th-century home.
Such an amazing historic building left in the area. Full of history and, it looks as if someone is still living inside it.

This is an excellent little provincial museum run by motivated and knowledgeable volunteers. Certainly worth a visit as it is a Tudor building of brick construction. I was reticent at visiting this place initially but that was completely unfounded. When most people only visit the beach in Weymouth and perhaps a few foody shops, Weymouth has an amazing history dating back to about the ad1300. Reputedly one of the ports that brought the black death to the UK. Which resulted in almost 50% of the whole of the UK population dying a miserable death. Weymouth is perhaps one of the few towns in the country where the wonderful council has decided to use one of the Tudor buildings dating back to about the 1600 as a public convenience! Well I suppose it does allow free admission to and time to contemplate! Finally below is a part of a picture of a map depicting the route from London to Weymouth in pictorial form.... Fascinating.

Jordan Hill Roman Temple is a small but picturesque site located on Jordan Hill above Bowleaze Cove. It features the stone foundations of a 4th-century Romano-Celtic temple and offers panoramic views of Weymouth Bay and the surrounding countryside. The temple, now under the guardianship of English Heritage, attracts numerous tourists throughout the year. Despite only the foundations remaining, it provides an atmospheric glimpse into Roman history and is worth a visit for enthusiasts or those seeking beautiful vistas.
Very quiet when I visited, worth the walk up the hill if you're interested in history. Great views on the new way up there. You can see the white horse at Osmington too.
C H — Google review
A little bit of Roman history hidden behind some modern housing. Not well sign posted at all. Find the path up between the houses to the fields at the back and you have found the place. They be a bin with a badly placed sign saying "Roman Temple this way" at the side of the path on the main road down to Bowleaze cove. Also a nice spot for views looking out to sea and over towards Weymouth and Portman. For years I have been passing here and I never even knew they was a Roman Temple hidden behind the houses. Just a little bit of history located near a lovely location. Parking is mainly a no. Unless you park down on the Bowleaze cove car park.

Very small remains of a 4th century Roman temple with just the outline of the walls remaining and a placard describing what was once there. If you love Roman history like I do it's worth visiting if you are in the area, even if it is just for 10 minutes or so. Great views of the surrounding countryside and overlooking Weymouth bay

Nice little spot behind the sea facing homes. It's something to look out for if you are on a walk. Fenced off, but with access, it is the site of a Roman Temple, with stone remains marking the outline of the building. There is a small information board. Rest for a while, enjoy the calm surroundings, before continuing your walk. Nearby there is roadside parking, and cafes for refreshment.

Each hole flowed seamlessly into the next, making the experience enjoyable and engaging. Greenhill Gardens in Weymouth is a unique and picturesque spot to visit. The beach huts here are unlike any other, with quirky concrete-and-iron structures that form a double-decker row of single-cell changing huts. Built as part of an employment scheme between the wars, they add character to the promenade between the gardens and the north end of the beach.

We bought 25 tokens for £20 and lasted ages as rides were 1 or 2 tokens. Dodgems were 3 tokens per dodgem. Our little 3 year old was well amused by it all, no queues rides seemed to last for ages. Well worth it.

Took my soon and nephew here yesterday, both under the age of 5. It cost £25 in total for two wrist bands for 3 hours of unlimited rides and time in the soft play which is really reasonable considering how many times they went on the rides and how long they had in the soft play. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly considering they were incredibly short staffed, they handled the day really well. Mark was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for the kids. Considering it was a busy summer holiday and there were staff shortages I can’t fault the staff at all, I can only image how stressful the day was for them and they didn’t show it at all.

Absolutely amazing day making great family holiday memories. All the staff were friendly and helpful but a big shout out to Mark and Alfie who worked their socks off to make sure everyone had a great day. Alfie operated all the rides with a smile on his face even when it started to rain a little. Mark was very helpful explaining the ride wristbands. Two great employees who clearly have a passion for making sure their guests have a great day. Definitely recommend a visit it’s a great place for the little ones to play.

We had a good time here today, but was some disappointment with my children. They are aged 7-12 and had a limited number of rides each because the rides were height limited, so the older ones were too tall for some and the youngest was too small for others! He was gutted that he's just got tall enough to drive bumper cars elsewhere, but here the minimum height was 10cm more than everywhere else, so he couldn't do it. Price is reasonable, we paid £16 each for three hours unlimited, but they only went on a few rides each due to the height restrictions and just repeated those. I was also a bit disappointed that I had paid £16 each for three children and then still had to pay extra to park too. I get that there's parking for the beach too, but it would be nice if there was some concession for those paying in the funfair

Nature & Parks
Lodmoor Country Park, located in Weymouth, Dorset, England, is a sprawling 300-acre public park offering a wide range of recreational activities and leisure facilities. Visitors can enjoy nature trails, picnic areas with barbecue spots, playgrounds for children, and even a cafe and pub serving hot food. The park also features attractions such as a mini-train ride and an aquarium. Additionally, it hosts various events including car rallies and circuses.
The food festival was amazing. I have been to quite a few food festivals, and my biggest gripe is, there are food stalls from around the world, but they all have UK people cooking. Here the Greek food was cooked by Greeks. Thai food cooked by Thais. ETC. Plenty of toilets. A stand pipe to refill your water bottle. Great bands and stalls.

Great place to visit, easy spend the whole day here.lots this, including Sea Life crazy golf, beach across the road, sand sculpture, pitch and putt, fitness equipment, go carts , crazy gold, train ride, plenty of walks and top it all of nature reserve. Brewers Fare to eat. The park is fab for picnic. Lots for kids. Or park and go across to the beach.
Hug D — Google review
It's a quiet, green park with plenty of room for walking, hiking, circling or dog walking. Next to the park is a parking. There is an old playground for children under 10 years old. Not too much entertainment for children. I was struggling to find a BBQ zone, it's only two places for it next to a playground but it looks like it was used for a long time ago. On the territory of the park you can visit the Sea Life Center or Sand World. You have to pay for it. The price you can find on the websites of its events. Nice place for a piece of mind.

Start location for a 13 mile sponsored walk, organised (wonderfully well) by Macmillan cancer support, along the incredible and (literally) breathtaking Jurassic Coast. Nearly 1000 took part in this incredible event, one of many Mighty Hikes arranged across the UK. A very special day indeed.

Really rough park on the outsirts of Weymouth Google reviews looked good but were not, Its really run down and pretty sure there were a few "down and outs" shooting up , There is no play park unless u class 3 pieces of run down gym equipment a park ? - The sea life centre is close by and looks like the good reviews u read should be for that Not this park , The car parks expensive too , avoid this place it's not worth the trip (0 Stars)

The park is rubbish in the heat! All the grass has burnt and picnics were literally impossible. We went to Sealife. Buy tickets in advance! The on the door price is significantly higher! We paid £78 for a family of 4 to get in. Otherwise, there's nothing much to see, than litter, burnt out grass, overpriced car park and unkempt nature spots... We might have visited at the wrong time, hope your visit is better.

RSPB Lodmoor is a well-preserved and tranquil haven for wildlife enthusiasts, offering plenty of opportunities to get close to nature. The area provides various walking paths and abundant wildlife viewing, making it perfect for dog walkers, birdwatchers, and nature lovers. Visitors can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and observe the diverse bird population. While parking may be a bit pricey, the site's natural beauty and abundance of activities make it well worth a visit.
Stunning RSPB reserve! A habitat to lots of birds species such as Marsh Harriers, song thrushes, red shanks and green shanks, geese, swans, egret, herons, and many other bird species too.

Great place to see wildlife, walk the dog, quiet, not too busy
Steve B — Google review
We had a few hours at this peaceful RSPB, we didn't see all of it unfortunately. The air was noisy with terns and gulls flying overhead. Swans, Egrets, Common Shelducks, Tufted ducks, were wading/swimming near the flats. We also heard lots of Warblers in the reed beds but no sight of them. If we're in the area again we'd love to go back. It was walking distance from the hotel. Free entry to reserve. Car park nearby, pay and display.
Polly W — Google review
A very nice little reserve. Easy street parking on the northern side. Northern area is mainly reeds, with the main action at the southern end with more open water and wading areas. July probably isn't the best time to visit, but we still managed to see a good variety including Great and Little Egret, Shelduck with young, Cormarant, Lapwing, Oyster Catcher, Black Tailed Godwit Very peaceful despite being so close to town.

We had a quick walk just before sunset, a fantastic place to visit and will be returning with more time, either before or after just have a gentle stroll into weymouth which ever way you can relax and enjoy the beauty of nature around you. In another month or so the blackberries will be in abundance so great to come and pick them with your children whilst enjoying the area around you. Well worth a visit.

A tranquil and peaceful place for a lovely walk. Very well preserved by the RSPB and thumbs up for the upkeep and haven it has become for wildlife. Lots of walks you can take and plenty to see. Only thing I would say is the carpark is a little pricey and does deter you from a longer stay, however there is not a lot the RSPB can do as it's council ran, so please don't let that put you off enjoying this wonderful place. For any dogwalker, nature lover, birdwatcher or walker its perfect though.

Entered store at 4.50pm today. Tried skirt on, then my daughter just wanted me to look at some boots she'd already noticed. Suddenly an (old) woman spoke rudely to us from behind, saying the shop had closed & promptly escorted us to the exit. She kept answering back saying they'd had a busy month (what's that got to do with it?) and staff had to catch a bus! I don't believe all staff had to rush off so urgently. If this was the case, they should review their opening hours to accommodate this. We were only having a quick look on our way out of store. A gentle mention they were about to close would've been sufficient. This isn't the way to treat customers. We'll definitely not return. Staff need to address their attitude issues as we're not the first to experience this.
Laura T — Google review
Such a gem of a shop that we visited twice! I treasure trove of wonder and beautiful things. My daughters bought jewellery and I bought a unique pair of trainers at an outrageously low price IMHO.
Joanna B — Google review
Super rude staff, the (old) lady approached me, grabbed my takeaway tea (with a lid on!) Out of my hand, then put it on the CORNER of the till/ counter, she then told me drinks were not allowed in the store. I was in shock. There are ways to approach people politely, if she had explained this to me before snatching it out of my hand , I of course would have waited outside for my daughter to finish choosing a jellycat teddy. She was so rude. I was also in this shop earlier in the week and heard her talking to another member of staff, the young shop worker explained an item was broken in store by accident, the RUDE lady who soke to me, then told the shop worker "not to worry, we will tell the supplier it arrived broken". So not only is the shop owner rude, she scams the wholesalers she buys from!!! I also heard her mocking american shoppers for buying their overpriced "London" souvenirs. I will never spend another penny in this shop again. Manners cost nothing! Very disappointed
Nancy — Google review
Staff are rude towards their customers and treat them with total malice. Items are randomly placed around the shop, giving the place a charity shop feel and the clothes are also very cheaply made knock- offs! Also a very cramped shop with mess and clutter across the entire counter.

Felt weird when visiting sadly, pricing stickers are hard to spot on the bottom of things store staff seemed annoyed we were picking up things to try to find the price. Shame as the items are lovely. We left as we felt uncomfortable.

Attraction
Osmington White Horse is a striking hillside carving of a horse and rider, originally created in 1808 and restored in the 2010s. It overlooks the town of Weymouth and depicts King George III, who was a beloved patron of the area. The site offers lovely views of the surrounding countryside and there's a small parking lot nearby with information about its history. Visitors can also stop by The Springhead for a meal while enjoying the picturesque surroundings.
Beautiful walk and views. The Osmington White Horse is a famous hill figure carved into the limestone of Osmington Hill in Dorset, England, north of Weymouth. Here's some information about it: Depiction and History: It depicts King George III riding his horse, carved in 1808 to commemorate his visits to Weymouth and the prosperity they brought to the town. Size and Visibility: The figure is quite large, measuring 280 feet (85 meters) long and 323 feet (98 meters) high, and is best seen from the A353 road. It can be seen for miles around. Maintenance and Restoration: The horse is regularly maintained, with restorations carried out over the years to preserve it. A significant restoration project was completed in 2012 by volunteers, and Princess Anne attended a ceremony unveiling a new plaque of local stone. Viewing: You can view the horse from the A353 road, or you can take a walk through the valley beneath it following the footpaths from the village of Sutton Poyntz. You can also walk up to the top of the horse, but be aware that it's a steep climb. Scheduled Monument: The Osmington White Horse is designated as a Scheduled Monument, signifying its historical importance and protection.

Lovely views of country side and of the white horse. There is a small parking lot nearby with information about the restoration and history of the horse. Unfortunately the parking lot has a height restriction and the tight turning circle can make it awkward to get out/park without hindering others while driving a motorhome.
Matthew C — Google review
Large hill figure depicting a rider on horseback, best viewed from a distance at the small viewing area just off the A353. The story goes that King George III used to ride his horse around the area when visiting Weymouth, with the hill figure commissioned by the local landowner to honour this event. The horse stands over 320 feet high, however, at the time of my visit in April 2025, it wasn't especially white. Nonetheless, it's worth a quick stop if you're in the area. A series of detailed information boards at the viewing area cover the history and restoration of the horse, with some additional information about the surrounding area.
Andrew T — Google review
Great small car park allowing you to take photos. Really good viewing point.
Kerry R — Google review
As with all of the White Horses across Wiltshire and Oxfordshire; this one is best viewed from afar. Perhaps lacking up close is an information board to detail the history of this chalk sculpture. Man-on-horse aside, this is a great area for walking with lots of open space and excellent views from higher ground.

Absolutely stunning campsite. Family run,.they couldn't do enough. Facilities, where do I start?! We stayed in the first field (3 to choose from). Toilets were immaculate. Often went for my morning wee, and all I could smell was bleach! So clean. Ample Toilet roll, hand wash etc. I have a stoma, I have to say staying here was easier for me than anywhere I've been. Right under the famous 'white horse'. Loads to do locally. Will definitely be back! Thank you all so much!

As a Functional Skills Maths and English teacher with a background in Youth Work, I’ve had the pleasure of organising various educational trips, but our recent speed boat adventure with Weymouth Bay Rib Charter was truly exceptional. My colleague Grant arranged this fantastic outing as a special treat for our 17-18-year-old students, and I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the team at Weymouth Bay Rib Charter demonstrated professionalism, friendliness, and a genuine enthusiasm for their work. The owner and staff were incredibly informative, ensuring we felt safe and well-prepared before setting off on the exhilarating journey. The speed boats themselves were sleek, powerful, and well-maintained, adding to the sense of adventure. The trip itself was nothing short of spectacular — fast, exhilarating, and incredibly exciting! The students were thrilled, and it was heartening to see their faces light up as they experienced the thrill of riding the waves at such high speed. It was a perfect blend of adrenaline and safety, with the team expertly managing the boat and providing engaging commentary along the way. This experience was not only a fantastic adventure but also a memorable way to celebrate the students’ achievements as they finish their course with us. Weymouth Bay Rib Charter’s dedication to customer safety and enjoyment truly made it a standout outing. I would highly recommend their services to anyone seeking an exciting, professional, and memorable speed boat trip. Thank you to the team at Weymouth Bay Rib Charter for making this such a special day for our students — we’ll definitely be returning!

25Weymouth Bridge

Bridge
Weymouth Bridge, a charming drawbridge connecting the two sides of the harbor, is a must-see attraction. This iconic structure rises every two hours during the summer months to allow tall ships to pass through, creating an exciting spectacle for visitors. For those looking to cross without waiting, a quaint rowing boat ferry operates nearby, providing a delightful alternative to walking across. On the opposite side of the harbor lies an array of dining options and attractions like Brewers Quay and Weymouth Marina.
Weymouth Town Bridge will be 90 years old in July this year. While the construction of the bridge was a remarkable achievement, the celebrations for its opening were also a fantastic accomplishment. The Western Gazette noted that it was a day that would “ever stand out in the chronicles of the town’s greatest achievements”. At exactly five minutes after noon on Friday 4 July 1930 two battleships anchored in the bay fired a 21 gun salute which thundered throughout the town. The Duke of York had arrived by special express at noon and was already travelling up King Street to the Esplanade. At the top of King Street was a triumphal arch, framing the blue bay and great grey battleships in the distance. Immediately in front of the King’s Statue was an imposing red and gold grandstand where the future King was officially welcomed to the Borough. In front of the grandstand were ranks of sailors with fixed bayonets who had presented arms in exact synchronisation with the boom of the battleship. (The officer in charge having given the order on seeing the first flash from the battleships’ guns). The five car motorcade arrived in front of the Statue and the Duke alighted and inspected the guard on honour. He then mounted the dais and received the various VIPs and dignitaries, including Mr George Barnes from Massachusetts. The Mayor, Percy Boyle and the Town Clerk, Percy Smallman were, of course, present, and the latter read the formal address of welcome. I have been unable to find a single photograph of the arch or the ceremony at the Statue. I would guess that this was because every vantage point from the station to the south harbour-side was crowded with eager spectators, and any photographer who wanted a view of the grand bridge opening would have needed to have claimed their spots very early. (Edwin Seward who took the bridge opening picture in the second column had clearly found himself a window on Trinity Road). At a planned 12.17 pm the Duke walked in procession down St Thomas Street which was covered from end to end with flags and bunting. He can be seen in the following photograph walking between the 9th Earl of Shaftesbury (who was Lord Lieutenant of Dorset) and the Mayor. Percy Smallman is directly behind the Duke. After the Duke operated the machinery to open the bridge, there was apparently an expectant hush as the two 200 ton leaves rose slowly into the air.

I recently visited Portland, Weymouth Bridge, and had a pleasant experience! The scenic views were breathtaking, and the atmosphere was lively. Although it was a bit chilly and crowded, the beauty of the place made up for it. The bridge's architecture and the surrounding landscape make for perfect photo ops. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by. Just bundle up and be prepared for the crowds

This lovely town has a lovely bridge which is lifting opening one. It is situated between two boroughs Weymouth and Melcombe Regis. It makes me feel like a mini version of London Tower Bridge. It’s been built in 1930 and each leaf is 200 tons weight. Beautiful views all around. It’s fun when the bridge opens for boats crossing. It’s really a tourist attraction. Many cafes, restaurants and pubs around as well as awesome views. This is best spot for photography.

Abysmal . Worst Sunday roast I’ve ever eaten. Other than taking almost an hour to come out when they’re at maybe 20% capacity The large roast had 1 & a half undercooked potatoes. Undercooked carrot sticks Tough and over done beef, all 2 slices of it. And then bit into the Yorkshire pudding to find what felt a tooth shattering lump of granite . Lovely secluded beach, clean sand & clear sea, nice rock pools when tide is out and great views across Portland harbour to Portland Cafe only 5 mins walk away with closest toilets, but very limited parking, so need to get there early, especially in the summer holidays

Peaceful, small beach. Shallow, very nice for kids to play, but all fun was destroyed because of 4 dogs running loose and fouling in the water where kids are playing. There was enough of 10min for us on this beach.

Was once a place of fun and so calm. The yachting fraternity ruined it many years ago. Happy memories ! 😀

Great little beach :) but very little parking nearby .

Lovely place so much fun for older boys & big kids at heart. Guy who runs it is lovely.Big super slide go karting,a baby track cafe & the best bumper floating cars ever. Wish I had a picture of me & my 20yr old& 10yr old sons on these. I almost wet myself laughing. Well worth a visit if you are in Weymouth on holiday.

Go karts are amazing!! My sister went on the hurricane it was really cool and great for younger kids, the Go karts were so cool you do have to be a certain height but there is of course the hurricane, the slide wasn't open when we were there, but everything was so cool definitely be going again. Edit: if you are planning on going they are not open until Easter but I will definitely be going again this year!

It’s an alright place, there’s a slide that you can ride as long as You like a dodgems type ride and a go karts ride, go karts are in good condition and are fast with good steering and traction, it’s a fun place for about 30 minutes or so but no longer
Joseph H — Google review
Good cheap parking, pretty wide spaces to help get the kids out of the car (rare in a Weymouth carpark) The go karts are great, we came back another day because they were fun. Not the most inspiring oval track, but bumpy so it's interesting. This kids loved the crests run mat slide. It's only a 4 bump model, but, it's really fast for its size. Hair blowing everywhere and air time off the last few bumps makes it exciting for them

Arrived this morning after my son who is 9 rs old and has done go karting for 3 yrs now and in a championship was excited to go , to get told he couldn't go on tapping her pen on the red line which is located on the ticket booth. There should be a proper height chart. I found the lady rude and Will not be coming back ,

Great place, my family love going here go karting. Only downside is most times we have visited the leisure ranch it has been shut.
Corinna F — Google review
Loved by all the family, my 4 & 12 year olds couldn't get enough of the go karts & slide.

Lovely place to walk and enjoy the nature

Such a nice place to be able to walk around and see all the wildlife. There is a main building where you can talk to the staff. Theres a large car park which usually has swans walking about in. To have such a good nature reserve in a busy sea side town is nice to know. There are huts to sit in to look at the birds of you are into birds that migrate here and, you are reminded that there are houses the other side of the road. You can walk through it as many locals do to go to other parts of Weymouth. There is a very busy road system around it but, you can't really hear it.
