Bapz in Toulouse offers a charming vintage setting where visitors can enjoy classic cakes, pastries, and savory pies. The tea room is known for its delightful English-style decor featuring vintage crockery from England. Guests rave about the delicious desserts, particularly the banoffee and scones served with whole cream. The owner, Marie, is praised for her warm hospitality and attentive service.
Great place for an evening tea/coffee and cakes. The banoffee is a must try. Chocolate cake was nice too and had very little sugar. We asked them for a coffee with vegetable milk. They specially made almond milk coffee for us. Quick service and a cozy ambiance.

such a lovely place with super quaint vibes. got their rhubarb, raspberry & almond tart together with the bapz tea which complimented each other so well

It's a beautiful cafe with awesome and affordable food. Loved their carrot cake and tea! First time experience in a "Salon de Thé". I never thought tea culture existed in France since I saw coffee everywhere, everyday 😊 Sooooo many options for tea lovers🥳 Loved this place. It has this Victorian era vibe to it and reminded me of some Victorian era afternoon tea parties read in books! It was tea-rific!

Finally succeed to have a seat, I was frustrated because it was always full every time I went there. The dessert, drinks tasted amazing! Especially, smoothie is really good. Generally, It kept up with my expectation.

This review is written by the fan of teas ! One of the best salon of tea I ever visited ! the price is very honest, and not very high. The decor is outstanding ! the retro tableware is so beautiful, just like that of our Grandmother kitchens. The large choice of teas. The cakes and patisseries are very delicious, and there are different kinds, the assortment changes often. In summer make sure to taste their Ice tea, home made with fruit flavors ! Every time I am in Toulouse I make sure to have a cup of tea with a cake in Bapz, it's really a unique place with a special atmosphere. Kind stuff and good vibes!
Ana F — Google review
A chic teashop with very sweet staff. Food was tasty and fresh, although some variety and less veg options would have been ideal to target also people who don't like to eat veg. Portions are very generious, they also give you one slice of fresh white bread.
Madeline D — Google review
This is like a museum inside with cakes and sweets everywhere. After trying the banofee and a lemon cheesecake i can say that 5 stars is an underestimation. Definitely worth the pit stop if you stroll around the city of Toulouse.

Amazing tea house experience. The venue is very cozy, with friendly and English speaking staff. The cakes/pastries/drinks are delicious.

Perlette is a charming and sophisticated destination located in the heart of Toulouse. It offers an array of classic pastries as well as unique creations that can be enjoyed on-site or taken to go. The pastry shop provides a variety of flavors, from vanilla and chocolate to red fruits, catering to all palates. In addition to its natural cakes, Perlette also hosts cooking classes and events such as breakfasts and after-work gatherings.
It was my second visit here. My first time was last June as a tourist and now I’m living in Toulouse. The staffs are very nice and gentle. Some of them can also speak English. I think they’re providing their dessert to some restaurants in Toulouse because I remember I could order their desserts menu in the restaurant(L’alimentation). I only tried dessert menus and coffee which I loved every time. So I don’t know how’s their food like. But when I was there around lunchtime, there was quite much people. I guess lunch menu would be good too. I loved all the desserts that I ordered(I tried 5 different desserts so far). Especially Mille-feuille was so good!! For coffee, honestly it’s good but it’s not special or like ‘Wow’. While I was uploading the pictures I took from there, I just realized that they have changed their desserts menu. Probably they change it regularly. (Some of the pictures that I uploaded is from June 2022. I’ll leave comments on the pictures) Interior is fine but I prefer the terrace as long as the weather is okay. It was one of the best desserts cafe that I’ve tried so far.
Hajeong Y — Google review
This French dessert cafe chain, conveniently located in the heart of Toulouse, features indoor and outdoor terrace seating. While the staff is notably friendly and accommodating, English-speaking service may not be available. As a frequent visitor to Toulouse, I make it a point to indulge in their desserts, priced at around 5-6 EUR each. Each dessert is not only visually appealing but also bursting with flavor. While not the absolute best French dessert establishment I've encountered, it offers above-average quality treats. If you find yourself in Toulouse, it's certainly worth a visit.
Evan M — Google review
Meh, not bad. The staff that served my partner and I seemed nice and friendly. The location is nice as it feels like a "quieter" corner of the city. However, we waited nearly twenty minutes for two simple drinks, even though only three tables were occupied. €6 for a less-than-250ml hot chocolate is absolutely extortionate! For the price I was expecting a large cup but it arrived in a water tumbler. Honestly, how do they get away with that?
J B — Google review
The cafe is in a cute neighbourhood. I had the pain perdu, it was ok, the taste was mild, didn’t have a distinct flavour. The coffee was ok too. The servers were nice and friendly. It’s an ok place if you can’t find another alternative for coffee and small things to eat.
Tamo — Google review
Went today, myself two friends from Australia. Was very quiet and the service lady spoke both french and English The deserts were well presented, nicely boxed as well. However, the deserts were below standard especially for the cost they lacked flavour for example not 'tart' enough for a lemon tart, the rose meringue with cream was tasteless except excellent raspberries. Cost for 3 tarts 15 euro There were gluten free options and clearly displayed this was good.
Phoebe K — Google review
Best Patisserie we‘ve ever had - simoly amazing. The toilet was not super clean, but it has air conditioner inside which is nice during summer.
A — Google review
I went here for a quick sweet stop and was pleasantly surprised by the fine quality of Perlette. I had the bannoffee pie with a ginger tea. The bannoffee pie was heavenly! The prices are rather high but for such patisserie it can be expected.

Le Salon d'Eugénie is a charming British-style café located in the heart of Toulouse. It offers a variety of delicious sweet and savory dishes, including bowls, bruschettas, and gratins that cater to vegetarian preferences. The homemade pastries are particularly delightful, prepared from traditional family recipes. Additionally, the café serves brunches and an assortment of beverages such as tea, Viennese hot chocolate, and milkshakes.
My friend and I had a lovely experience having evening tea here. Though I tried the hot chocolate which was excellent. This place is ideal for people who are gluten intolerant. We had a gluten free cookie (BIG) and a slice of berry cake made with almond flour. The service was excellent.

I’ve been here a couple of times and it’s a pleasure each time. It’s a great place, perhaps the best cakes in Toulouse, lovely tea, nice staff. to review: decor needs to be updated, this place deserves much more than generic photos on the walls
Sofa K — Google review
We got a fantastic service, the waiter spoke English well and helped us with some recommendations. We sat outside as interior wasn’t inviting with its vibe too hot temperature. The cakes were rich in flavour, well presented and in a decent portion. Amazing place for a sweet lovers!
Aneta W — Google review
The tea and cakes are absolutely wonderful - though it's a shame that the music and interior decorating doesn't exactly fit the delicacy of the food. Not sure why I'm hearing Moroccan music for my French-style cakes and Chinese tea in such a contemporary interior.
Lanceyblue — Google review
Cosy atmosphere, friendly service but pastry is not tasty, too sweet

They have one gluten free cake and it is good. A bit to sweet for my taste. The staff were lovely and helpful

Just okay. Good tea selection but the carrot cake was claggy as hell and I left it half uneaten despite the cost. Despite the cute china, not really the comfy tea room vibe I was after. Wish I would have tried a different place but I relied on reviews. Leaving this one to spare other people my mistake.

Beautiful place with a beautiful surroundings. Tarts are delicious specially the one with pistachios. Highly recommended. You can order for différent occasions birthdays or other events 2 or 3 days before.

Went there for an afternoon coffee and cakes break. We ordered 4 cakes and all of them were very tasty. The strawberry cake was exceptionally good. Would definitely go another time for that. 1 star less as we didn’t like some of the things like carrot cake was a bit too dense, the service was slower and atmosphere wise, for some reason there was always a long queue for the toilet the entire and unfortunatelywe were seated close to the toilet.
Shreeni S — Google review
Everything was alright. Decoration and environment was great. In my case the cakes we ordered weren’t fresh. I felt like they were from 2-3 days ago and they didn’t taste well at all. You could see the caramel was dried 🙁
Ozair R — Google review
Nice place, in a nice plaza. Big cakes and very nice and big milkshakes too. It is very crowded at tea time, and often there is a queue outside, be aware. Overall I would come back, I liked the cakes! The tables are very close to each and can be umconfortable when full, but the waiters are very good and smiling :)
Andrea F — Google review
Stonkingly delicious salad at lunch of various types of salmon - tartare, poached and smoked, with a well dressed salad, avocado, taziki and crusty baguette. Super friendly service and lovely little square to enjoy it all al fresco. 14.5 eur feels great value for the quality and care in the food and service.
Gergely S — Google review
We ordered a cuppicino, tea (which is a little for 1 person), tart citron maringe and cheesecake.Every thing was okay but as a sweet I like to feel more sugar , thanks
Sara M — Google review
Great taste of cakes. One of the men staff was a bit tense with us. Overall great food.

A good coffee shop located in Toulouse. We ordered a Café Frappé, a banofee cake and a red fruits crumble. Coffee was so good, desserts were delicious. Service was on point, however the place was so small and mega crowded, so calmness wise, it wasn’t the right place. Prices were okay. Overall, i recommend trying it out whenever you’re in the area.

Best sandwich I’ve probably ever had. We went with the specials they had that day and both of them were amazing. Freshly cut meats, toasted baguettes and a great selection of cheeses. A must visit if you’re in Toulouse!

What a delicious surprise for our first time visiting Toulouse! Absolute gem, friendly staff, great portions, reasonable price! Try it! 😍😍
Runxian X — Google review
The best sandwich I've ever had – not just in Toulouse, but ever! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make sure we were happy. The ingredients were super fresh and top quality – you can really taste the difference. Trust me, you won’t regret it, it’s absolutely fantastic! Pro tip: Grab your sandwich and enjoy it by the Garonne River – what an amazing experience!
Sofia C — Google review
Staff is attentive and kind, the ingredients are top quality and fresh, and the store is well organised and clean. They also offer drinks outside the norm, which is refreshing (litteraly). My colleague loved both his sandwiches, myself I didn't do much of a good job when chosing mine. I was almost sure I had picked a sweet and sour one (called "le Notre"), however I got a bland sandwich, just ham, mozarella and green leaves, to be honest I was a bit underwhelmed. It was surely my fault though, so I'll return and I'll pick another sandwich next time.
E. V — Google review
Exceptional sandwich spot 🥖🥪🇫🇷 If you're looking for quality ingredients and a good feed for lunch, this is your place! Incredible to see the amount of meats and cheeses to choose from, and to have it all freshly assembled for your order is a delight. The baguette -crusty with a good chew- is guaranteed to be filled up with whatever you choose. The staff are so friendly and genuinely cool; appreciated how welcoming they were from ordering to servicing the table - you feel incredibly well taken care of 🫶

Unreal sandwich spot.. stumbled in here on a hot August day last summer and I’m still dreaming about this sandwich.. if you are in the vicinity DO NOT MISS!!!
Samantha D — Google review
Legitimately top quality sandwiches here. We tried a couple and both were extremely tasty. They're not the cheapest, but the price to quality (and quantity) ratio is more than reasonable. One of the best sandwiches I've had in France, not just Toulouse. Guys were also sound blokes and willing to explain and advise if you want or need.
William M — Google review
Super delicious sandwiches, welcoming and charming staff, and a chilled vibe. We wanted top quality bread with simple but tasty fillings for lunch and that’s exactly what we got. We barely speak French, but the team were super understanding and spoke great English. We ordered the avocado chicken and the vegetarian (adding ham!) and both were superb! Highly recommended for an excellent value lunch. Ideal for taking away to eat by the river too.

I visited this Café with friends, and even though it was a brief stop, it was definitely worth while. We all ordered Hot Chocolate, which was made of dark chocolate and was super thick and divine. It was the best hot chocolate I have ever had in France. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff were super kind and helpful. If you are looking for a place to stop by for Hot Chocolate or even some pastries, this is the place to go!

Cookie was good, buttery inside and crunchy outer bottom ring Hot chocolate was quite thick and somewhat acidic, it's hardly sweet though and not deep/dark enough Tigre is lovely, it's like soft cookie or mooncake skin, very flavourful. This is a must try Kouign amann was not good, it's very chewy and not caramelised.

Amazing place for coffee and cake. The lunch dishes also look fabulous. A selection of gluten free patisserie are all marked with a green dot. The coffee is also very good. We will be back for lunch the next time we are in Toulouse!!

As fans of home made hot chocolate around the world and around France, this is a top choice for best nationally and globally. And the patisserie amuse our bouches : rose, pistachio, raspberry, black cherry. Must visit, must enjoy!

Lovely place with friendly waitresses who happily spoke English when we got out of our depth! Good coffee, pastries and cakes. Plenty of gluten free options. Clean toilet (it smelt like gingerbread!). We visited on Saturday at ~9am and it wasn't too busy but by half 9 it was filling up fast. Had inside and outside tables. Would recommend a visit.

L'autre Salon de Thé is a charming café in Toulouse that offers an exquisite selection of desserts and high-quality teas. The modern interior is adorned with elegant mirrors, paintings, and a beautiful chandelier. The buffet-style spread of desserts includes treats like peanut butter chocolate bars, pistachio tart with coconut and raspberries, cheesecake, and banoffee pie. The café pays homage to its British influence with portraits of distinguished Brits adorning the walls.
This cafe is so great. The staff is friendly and the food is so good! The cakes are so fresh and they give large portions. The cookies with coffee are amazing. I definitely recommend this place. The atmosphere is very calm and kind.
Sofie A — Google review
The service person is pure rude, with a terrible attitude probably because our French is not good enough for them (the ironic thing is all item names in their menu are in English). We asked for water and they brought 1 glass while we were 3 ppl. We asked to pay separately by what we ordered but they ignored us and split the bill evenly. The cakes were not good at all: the key lime pie is way too sweet and dense with very little taste of lime, cake of the day (a fruit tart with whipping cream) has tasteless crème, and an apple pie with very runny sauce that’s not appetizing at all (see photo). One star is for the cute, artsy decoration. But that’s about it!
Daisy N — Google review
My friend and I came here for their Instagram worthy vintage decor so we decided to have an afternoon tea with their homemade dessert. I ordered a chai latte and loved it. It was perfectly spiced, creamy, and just the right comfort drink for a rainy cold afternoon. The cakes came out in impressively large slices which were good to share. Great for anyone with a sweet tooth though a little too sugary for me personally. If you’re visiting Toulouse for the first time, this spot is definitely worth checking out.
Maria M — Google review
We visited this tea place a couple of months ago. It looks elegant and attractive from the outside and "on the surface", but something is just missing... If felt a bit like a conveyor belt of customers, the service was confused and impersonal and everthing seemed rushed and unpleasant somehow. The tables are so close together, it is impossible to sit/ move comfortably without disturbing other people and, in turn, they are distrubing you, as you can't help but overhear every conversation around you. The cakes look beautiful, but the one we've tried (with raspberries on top) was practically inedible - stoggy and tasteless with a very strange "compressed" texture. The couple of bites that I've managed to have, sat heavily in my stomach for hours afterwards. I can see that the owners reply to reviews and ask for constructive feedback. My two pieces of advice to them will be: 1) Enhance the experience of your customers by reducing the tearoom capacity. Sales volume and robotic efficiency isn't everything, bring some "soul" and genuine care to what you do. Inspire your staff to do the same. Customers sense these things. 2) Please review your cake recipes; perhaps, do a tasting and ask for people's opinions. The cake we had did not taste like food. 😢 If it was some kind of a special, perhaps, vegan, recipe - we were not made aware of this, despite me asking the waitress in advance about the cake ingredients.

We booked our Christmas brunch for 10 at this vegetarian restaurant. Fantastic food. Very original. Excellent service. Especially dealing with people arriving later than expected. Great communications concerning the reservation. No complaints whatsoever. Thankyou

The food and the service are amazing, We got the brunch menu, it was 26 euros. It’s pretty busy the place however we got a table without reservation.

We are so fortunate to find this cafe serving healthy, organic food in a comfortable setting. As soon as we walked up to the front door, we were greeted warmly and offered a choice of a table inside or outside. Then, the generous & kind host helped us with ordering our courses. Every dish was sumptuous and delicately seasoned to bring out the best in the fresh ingredients. We very much enjoyed: -iced green tea with mint -fresh pressed juice -tomato soup with tarragon and cumin croutons -Sixto Salad with poached egg - dessert - sable tartlet honey mouse and plums & chocolate mouse with puffed rice & cookie crumble. Consider enjoying a meal at Sixto soon!

Amazing vegetarian restaurant! The servers were super friendly and nice. The food cane out fast. When we got our food, I thought it wouldn’t fill me up, but it surprisingly did! Their tea was also unexpectedly so good and refreshing on that hot day. We were also super jet lagged, so we decided to try their nap option (3 pods are available upstairs for napping, starting at 6 EUR for 30 min). It was so worth it! I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area!

Amazing hidden gem in Toulouse. Food was superb. We were positively surprised by the vegan meringue! The entries, the main dishes and the desserts were all tasteful and rich. The attention from the waiter was great too!

Amazing gluten free / vegetarian food! I have been a few times and usually 85-100% of the menu is gluten free. The menu rotates often so it is always changing but every time I’ve gone the flavor combinations are perfect and I highly recommend lunch here. I wish they were open for dinner, also but they close around 6PM.

Very good vegetarian restaurant. Menu changes often and they offer seasonal food. Everything was super tasty. The staffi super nice and accommodating. They speak English and Spanish as well but the menu is only in French what wasn’t a problem. Highly recommend! Oh, almost forgot, everything looks incredible!

Really great place! We went for the brunch menu, a tasty and clever selection of little dishes, all organic and vegan. The waiter was really friendly and upper helpful. Even the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming! Would always come back here again! Definitely worth a visit when you’re on Toulouse.

Chapristea is a chic and popular lounge in Toulouse that offers specialist teas, light lunches, and desserts. The vaulted lounge provides a relaxed vibe and a great atmosphere for cat lovers, as friendly felines roam the premises. Visitors can enjoy the company of cats while savoring the above-average but worthwhile menu offerings. The cafe also features a cat menu to introduce patrons to its feline staff. Additionally, there are opportunities to adopt or foster cats from the establishment.
Such a lovely café/restaurant. The cats are beautiful and very well looked after. It was an amazing experience overall. Staff are super kind and helpful. The food was BLISS. Sooooo good. Had such a great time there

It's possible you’ll have to wait outside if the cafe is full. It’s very popular and a nice relaxed vibe, and of course, a great atmosphere if you're a cat person. Friendly staff and some great teas to try out. Well worth several visits just to explore the menu. Prices are above average, but I'd say they're well worth it. Definitely no shortage of friendly cats to hangout with. And there's a wonderful cat menu to introduce you to all the feline staff. I got to hangout with Madison for a good long while, and she's great company (sort of sounds like a ‘different’ kind of establishment when I put it like that!). I'm very happy to see all the cats have somewhere to get up and away from all the human attention. I should imagine they can get tired of all the attention when it's so constant. I need to try and get there when it's not so busy just to see what the cats want from me.

It's such a lovely place! The atmosphere is great, plus there is absolutely no bad smell from cats (idk how they maintain is so clean). They have a wide range of teas. Besides the tables at the entrance they have a huge space down, very cozy and no one bothers you for being there with a laptop.

A great place in the city centre where you can have a nice lunch in the company of some fluffy friends. You shall definitely visit it if you love cats. They are so calm and they seem to enjoy the attention.

We were in Tolouse for the day and this place was recommended. Besides being cat lovers, the menu looks good! Unfortunately we didn’t know you have to book ahead of time, or wait outside till people leave and you can go in. We hope to be able to go in next time, and will remember to make a reservation.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ART TEA SHOP in Toulouse is a hidden gem that I stumbled upon by chance while walking back to my hotel, and it has left an indelible mark on my heart. The moment I stepped inside, I felt an overwhelming sense of belonging, as if I had arrived where I was always meant to be. Every detail, from the charming environment and exquisite art on the walls to the beautifully crafted tea mugs and the delicious apple cake, spoke to me. Even the thoughtful details in the restroom contributed to the story of love and care that this place embodies. It is evident that a visionary with a profound passion for their creation has meticulously put everything together to create a space where art, aesthetics, and the simple poetry of enjoying a warm cup of tea come together harmoniously. ART TEA SHOP is more than just a tea house; it is a sanctuary for those who appreciate the finer things in life and the artistry that goes into creating a welcoming, heart-centered space. I have never experienced anything quite like it before. It was like falling in love with the very idea of such a place. Now that I am back home, I find myself missing it deeply and dreaming about my next visit. This extraordinary place has truly mesmerized me, and I will carry its memory with me always.

So so so GOOD! The mango pie was simply incredible. And they recommended me a smokey green tea which reminded me of scotch (in a good way!). Huge pot of tea too. Really loved this place. My favorite cafe in Toulouse!

Had a very bad experience there Almost all the things sited on the menu for the brunch plate weren’t available… instead of letting us know, they just gave us other things instead (things we didn’t eat) I said I don’t eat onions, the waitress reassured me telling me there’s no onions in my plats… surprise! Onions in the main dish. No feta in feta salad, a sort of porridge instead of the yogurt with granola I barely touched my plate, had to go somewhere else to eat. And they still made me pay 26€. I would have understood if it was just one small thing missing, but changing almost all the dishes without telling me, was too much. They ended up giving me a mini carrot cake, if tho the waitress said they were going to reduce the price. No reductions lol…

Peacock is more than just a restaurant; it's a peaceful haven offering healthy food that caters to vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten intolerance. Located near Rue de Metz at 20 Rue de la Bourse, the establishment prioritizes quality over quantity by using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients to respect the environment. The menu features delicious vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dishes made from local organic produce.
We had an amazing brunch at Peacock! We had some avocado toast and noccio pancakes, and the real star was the refreshing ice tea !

If you’re looking for a good coffee, it’s worth trying other places. I had a coffee (latte with oat milk) which was very watery, probably both because of a watery coffee as well as basic oat drink added. It’s a shame as there are really good alternative barista oat milks available now that work so much better with coffee. The plus is very friendly waitresses. Also there are quite a few food options catering for dietary needs. However the carrot cake that I tried (which was vegan and gluten free) felt very heavy and taste was just average. They said they were fully booked and only seat available was at the high chairs at the window but the place was almost empty when I arrived and almost just the same when I left at 11am on a Sunday.

Thankful for this place, as its one of few cafes in central Toulouse serving smoothie bowls. Love all the fresh fruit on top, and the fact that you can choose the type of granola you get on top. Only thing that could be improved is if the smoothie could be a bit colder/have more ice - though that could be a matter of personal preference.

My partner and I needed a toilet, so we stopped here. The waitress was really nice and told us we didn't need to order anything to use the toilet. However, we checked out the cakes, and they looked really good, so we ended up ordering two slices and two coffees—and they were absolutely delicious!

Very overpriced and doesn't deliver. Gluten free pancake had very strong aftertaste, and was just dripping in maple syrup, with slices of banana, quite boring. Simple can be great, but this was just plain boring, with aftertaste

The service was impeccable. The food was simultaneously unexpected and perfectly orchestrated to create surprisingly and delicious combinations on your palate. The wine selection was simple but high quality. I can't say how pleased I am to finally have the opportunity to eat here since moving to Toulouse during lockdown. Go here, eat, be happy!
Thomas C — Google review
Found the restaurant based on various review sites and decided to book it. Not possible online, called and left a message. Was contacted back promptly with an offer of a table a little after I originally requested, which I think is because they weren't seating until 8pm. Wow. What an experience. I did my first university degree in hotel and catering in the 90s and worked for 7 years in restaurants, the highest rated up to two Michelin stars. I think this is right up there in food quality, and is quite possibly the best presentation I have ever seen. Amazing job, can't thank them enough and was not stupidly expensive for haute cuisine. I would say that it is for foodies, and be sure you are in the mood for a food focused experience. If you don't speak French you will need Google translate open. I do speak reasonable French and still needed to look up some words and yet even then still trust the chef, as I was not quite sure of all the detail when ordering, but am seriously, seriously glad we went.

Excellent surprise. We went there for lunch. The set three-course menu was very cheap for the quality. We were offered a sparkling wine as apéritif. The dishes were original, somewhat sophisticated, well presented and really good. This includes the dessert which was very original and wouldn’t be quite able to describe. Highly recommended.
Fabrice B — Google review
Very good semi-gastronomic restaurant for a moderate price. The personel is competent, there is a good wine choice, the dishes are succulent. Dont let the "starter - dish - dessert" standard menu fool you: they are quite copious. The atmosphere is romantic, although it can get quite noisy if many tables are booked. You won't get the 'gastronomic etiquette', but presentation and tastes are at the rendezvous. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely spot with really friendly staff / owners. My dish was missing a poached egg which really wasn’t a big deal and the staff noticed after a little bit and were very kind and apologetic offering me a free cookie and coffee to make up for it. We had specifically made our way to this place for lunch during our first visit to Toulouse - unfortunately we were to be disappointed. We were ignored by the host when we stood waiting to be seated, he seemed to be far more interested in other guests (who ironically seemed disgruntled). Finally, we were seated by one of the waitresses although service on the whole was slow. The food itself was rather bland and tasteless. Not up to scratch in a very competitive space in 2025 I’m afraid.

Very good, service, food and everything. I eat there when it isn't crowded since the space is rather small. However, even crowded, that place is still lovely ^-^ Food is really good, but may get expensive quickly if you add drinks, desert, etc. In addition to the main course of your choosing. Despite its price, I still recommend it. The food is delicious and worth it.

Very nice tea house, nice selection of cakes. I had the divin cake it was very tasty, a nice mix of textures. The tea was very good too. The staff are very friendly with great attention to detail. Great place for a coffee (tea) break.

I found it strange that you can’t share a teapot but otherwise it was friendly and nice. Both cakes (Divin and Croustillant) were quite tasty and not too sweet, which I appreciated. But I made the mistake of not considering the name of the cake I ordered. It looked similar to the brownie with raspberries that I make at home but is called ‘croustillant’ (crunchy) and turned out to be definitely that, to a point where I found it difficult to break it with my spoon. My advice would be to take the cake out of the fridge and not to serve it straight away but wait a couple of minutes first.

A very cozy place in Toulouse center for a rest. The staff is friendly and smiling all the time, which is great. The dessert in the picture is La framboise et pistache with an excellent taste. The chantilly is light, going well with the tart itself. A little bit disappointing is the Café glacé nature. I thought it would be American iced black coffee but somehow it was added with syrup. Maybe the recipe was designed this way and I misunderstood. I never like any kind of syrup in my coffee so I don’t like it at all. But the coffee beans seemed to be good quality.

We had dessert, tea and coffee there. The desserts were good thanks for that, but the drinks were cold and the dessert presentation was sloppy. After I finished my coffee, I wanted to taste the tea of my sister bought and for that I asked for an empty coffee cup from the cashier. But the person at the cashier said that the tea was for only one person. And he didn’t give me that. It was just to try it, I had already bought coffee. So it is strange that there is no sharing of drinks or desserts in this cafe! It's just an empty cup :) In the other places they always serve the extra spoon or cups for sharing. So it was strange.

The french restaurant L'Emulsion is a nice place with excellent service and an interesting wine list. The food is incredible, and it's perfect for a romantic dinner for two.
We booked a table which was a good idea - the restaurant was fully seated with both residents and tourists. The location is extraordinary; it’s a vault of a historic building and pleasantly cool in hot summer. They offer two different Menus, you can choose between three or 4 courses. There was one without meat but with fish. No completely vegetarian set. It might be possible on request though. The food was amazing and typically french style. Next to the ordered courses we additionally got served an appetizer and a n amuse gueille. I can especially recommend the dessert and the eggplant dish.

What a special experience, a very limited menu but all very tasty and yummy! This is not conventional French cuisine , many tasty foods that are put together as Emulsions and the parings go very well together . Nice wine recommendations from the waiter , nice ambiance with the wine cellar ambiance but maybe a little bit too quiet , but still a must when in Toulouse . !

An amazing experience in this gastronomic restaurant. From the well-selected drinks to each refined dish, this was an amazing experience. Original and with selected local product, each dish was well-thought and unique. We called in advance to ask for vegetarian options and I could not have been more satisfied: the mise en bouche, starter, first course and dessert were already vegetarian and the cook prepared a special main dish composed of a delicately-assembled selection of vegetables. Additionally, the interieur is refined and cosy and the limited amount of table allows for an intimate ambiance. Big applause to the waiter who handled the whole service brilliantly and by himself. Would highly recommend, it is really worth the price.

This dinner is at 49€ for amuse bouche, entree, soup, main, dessert. It fills you up. I would have given it 5 but it’s unfortunate to come here at a heat wave at peak of summer because the Cave has no air conditioning unit. And the restaurant was not full, so I can imagine it could have gone so much hotter. But we were sweating the entire time eating our food. Food came slower than I had expected. The main server is very nice. I can see he was really hard working. Although I saw his assistant came with plates for the other table and forgot to explain what the food was. He came after, apologized and explained. The food is very good. Not the best or one of the very best I’ve had. Not gastronomically mind blowing that you can tell they put didn’t much creativity on making the plate. Still very yummy though, of course. Very decent, lovely enough..dinner. I wouldn’t dare come back here in summer.

Amorino is a popular gelato chain known for its Instagram-worthy rose flower gelatos with a macaron in the middle. The chain has multiple locations worldwide, including three in Toulouse. It's a hit with families and kids all year round. While it can get busy, studying the allergen menu on the entry door while waiting is a good use of time.
Great place for an ice cream, a milkshake, or whatever you want as the ingredients are pretty much the same. I got a small cone (€4.50) and you literally can get as many flavors on there as you want, I only needed five 😅. The texture of the gelato is so good, the flavors original and exactly what you would wish for. Only downside would be that they only had 1 employee taking all tge load which could slow things down at times, but she was very professional and very helpful.

Good ice cream. All afternoon there is a queue. The servers are too busy chatting between them and not focusing on serving/listening to customers requests. Several customers had to repeat their flavour orders and they got mine wrong, even though I corrected them twice.

Ice cream of very good quality. The place is crowded and people stand in queue the get this tasty ice cream. There is a variety of flavours. I tried myself yoghurt, citron, pistache, hazelnut, and all were great. I definitely recommend yoghurt for anyone who never tried it before. I recently visited this place during a business trip from Germany, and we stopped by to grab some ice cream. I have to say, I felt incredibly welcomed from the moment we walked in. The ice cream and waffles I ordered were absolutely delicious – and all for just under 8 euros! What really stood out, though, was the outstanding service. A special thank you to Sahar, Emrys, and Nour – they were friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. I can highly recommend this place and will definitely come back when I’m in the area again!

I had a wonderful experience trying Amorino in Paris; the service was impeccable. However, today, when I visited with my family in Toulouse, the staff were unpleasant. The male server gestured aggressively for me not to take pictures, and the lady rushed us and was unfriendly. Moreover, the ice cream tasted different, as if they had added extra flavors. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience.

Solaneko 抹茶蛋糕茶 is a hidden gem in Toulouse, offering a blend of Japanese cuisine and tea in a cozy setting. The chef, Tomoko, uses fresh, local, and mostly organic ingredients to create dishes like kabayaki sardines and grilled pork with umeboshi. The place has a relaxed atmosphere with board games available for patrons.
I went for tea and cake, dorayaki and cheesecake were great! Sencha and puerh were also really good and served correctly. I only have two suggestion for improvement: 1- It was really good that we could take hot water for more brews. But the temperature was too much for the green tea (98 degree). I could not change the temperature as it was written "do not touch!" 2- it would be great to be able to pay with CB. Please consider it! I definitely go back there!

Nothing special. Canteen atmosphere is fine. Food is far from being Japanese (and limited choice on this Saturday second service with no more pork= lieu noir fried or tofu). I guess it goes with the area Plaisant waiters

Madame Bovary is a charming and cozy coffee shop in Toulouse that offers a calm and friendly atmosphere. The decor is cute and the service is very accommodating, even for non-French speakers. The food is fantastic with fresh ingredients, and the tea and coffee are delicious. It's popular with locals and has regulars, making it a treasure to stumble upon while wandering around Toulouse.
Highly recommended coffee shop in Toulouse, very cosy, small and calm place. Background music, great ambiance. The lady was so nice and welcoming, great service. As for the coffee I went for a classic café crème with extra whipped cream, it was delicious. You should give it a try.
Jean A — Google review
Afternoon tea, excellent peanut cheesecake but the tea, hélas, was stale and despite a wonderful description on paper promising all sorts of flavours it was like drinking tisane. However the choice of books and the atmosphere was just as the sign outside promised.
Chantal P — Google review
Super cute cafe with a calm atmosphere surrounded by books. Desserts are fresh, with only 4 or 5 options available on the afternoon we visited. Lots of teas to choose from.

Delightful choice of tea and light bite (toast with mushrooms, greens, and a melange of other things) in a cozy environment with music from Madame Bovary in the background. My friend and I had a cozy lunch here. Will definitely be back!
Puja G — Google review
It’s been two years since we visited this beautiful corner of Toulouse. That I still remember after two years says a lot about my lack of perseverance in reviewing my favourite places, and even more about the charm of this salon de thé. And rightfully so, because in a small, yet significant way, our visit to Madame Bovary changed our lives. For starters, this is my kind of place: books and tea is a combination for which I’ll walk and step out of my way. It was my boyfriend who discovered it while we were planning our trip, and who quickly added it to our list of things to do in Toulouse. The atmosphere was everything we expected and more. A cozy, quiet little salon in a central location full of lovely china to unwind and have lunch. We ordered the sandwich with cheese, red cabbage and hazelnuts, which came with salad on the side. The sandwich was very good, an unexpected but solid combination. But oh, the salad. I’m not a salad person. I’m improving, but back then I only liked the salad I made. Until I tried this one. Lamb’s lettuce, carrots, cheese and walnuts with a sweet and savoury dressing. I adored it. Not only did I eat my salad and my boyfriend’s, but also asked Aurélie about the dressing. She gave me the recipe, and I’ll never thank her enough. I’m not gatekeeping it, I just want you to try it first. Because you’re going to like it, too. Back in Spain, I recreated the salad and suddenly traveled back to Toulouse. To the pink and blue pastels, the amazing food and the beautiful bookstores, to the long walks by the river and the shops and the museums. Our trip to Toulouse was short but the sweetest, and I brought lots of treasures with me. None of them, however, is comparable to the salad, from that day on the Madame Bovary Salad in my household. Every time that I’ve prepared it in the last two years I’ve thought of this place and of writing this review, and I’m happy to finally do it. Merci beaucoup, filles ! Vous êtes très gentilles et sympas, et j’espère de vous revoir si nous tournons à Toulouse. Je vous souhaîte du bonheur et du succès. À bientôt !

What a wonderful place! The decoration is just so cute and cozy I could stay here all day. The service is very, very friendly. They even accomodated to my lack of french. The food is abosultely fantastic made with very fresh ingredients. I also appreciated how it seemed to be popular with locals and it ssemed to have regulars which is very cute. Seriously some of hhte best food I had in Toulouse.

Stumbled upon this place while wandering around Toulouse. What a charming cozy little tea salon! This is a treasure. The service was excellent, warm, and friendly especially for someone who doesn't speak French. Generous portion of cake cake and the tea was perfect. Visited in February which is the low season so did not have any problem getting a table. Highly recommend.

L*Agence is a hidden gem, cleverly disguised as a travel agency. The bar's concept is reflected in every detail, including the menu designed as a passport. The cocktails are creative and served by friendly staff in an aesthetically pleasing setting with an art deco style. Visitors praise the amazing atmosphere and stunning drinks, highlighting the unique entrance door concept. While slightly pricier than other cocktail bars, it offers a one-of-a-kind experience with multilingual and accommodating waitstaff.
This speakeasy bar was brilliant. The menu consisted of a passport and the drinks were very nice. The service is friendly and there is a great atmosphere. We ordered the Bangkok and a stronger drink I can’t remember the name of (not connected). Looks like a travel agent and you enter through the bookshelf. Brilliant.

Perfect drinks in an amazing atmosphere and Johanna taking us on a trip of spirits… we were too late to try any food as the kitchen was closed (23:00) but that is not the only reason to come back! Simply loved it and we had a great time!

Every city must have its speakeasy bar, and Toulouse is no exception. L*Agence is well disguised as a travel agency, and they take the concept to the forming of the menu (both food and drinks). Pêché Mignon, located on Rue du Languedoc in the vibrant heart of Toulouse, embodies the essence of a local bakery that has captured the hearts of both locals and tourists. Under new ownership since December 2021, this bakery has become a haven for those in search of traditional breads, pastries, and an assortment of baked goods.
I got some random bread here some time ago, which was already good. This time I came for their galette des rois and I was not disappointed. I try about 8 different galettes every year and this is one of my favorites! There is often a queue, especially at lunch time but their service is very efficient so it moves quickly.

An unforgettable pastry experience in Toulouse! I had the Paris-Brest and it was hands down my favorite French pastry during my stay in Toulouse. Absolutely delicious – the perfect balance of flavor and texture. What a fantastic experience! My only regret? Not being able to try more! This place is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. Don’t miss it!

We were looking for a boulangerie (as our French friends say) to eat something in a cloudy Thursday morning. Thank god we found this place. We tried the pies with the Spinach and the one with the Chicken Curry. The second one was great, the first one we would prefer it a bit less soggy, but again it was tasty. Also, the rest of the things looked great. Also the staff were very helpful and waited us calmly to select what we wanted, but also helping us to decide.

I am so glad we found this bakery. The display of food is beautiful and mouth watering. I wish I could eat here ever day! Such a great selection of patisseries and sandwiches.
Rhi B — Google review
The produce here is great but not worth the dreadfully rude service! I bought a carrot cake and banana bread last week and they were delicious so I returned to get more. The bakery wasnt busy and the staff were enjoying themselves chatting, clearly they were annoyed at having to serve a customer and wanted to get rid of me quickly. They didnt have anymore banana bread so she asked if i would like a marble cake instead, in English, mind you, even though I spoke French to her. When I said no, thank you, I didnt want that cake she got annoyed and starting saying other things in English.. why speak bad English when my French is so much better?! Simply impolite! Why presume foreigners wont know the difference between marble cake and banana bread? I mean, these things were invented by us In the first place! I just walked out and bought several cakes from the shop near by. Silly girl,I wont be going back to you and you have not done your boss a favour! And by the way, I have been in France 4 months and you are the first rude person I have met!! Dubious congratulations! (I presume you wont know what dubious means!.. pas probable)
M P — Google review
Quite an impressive bakery I would say. I could already smell their bread when I was walking along the walkway. When I arrived at the shop there were quite a number of people ordering the pastries for takeaway. The place looks rather small there are just probably like 4 seats so I suppose thats probably why people just takeaway on their way to work and not have breakfast in the bakery. I waited for the crowd to leave before I made my order. In the meantime I was looking at the display and there were so many items to choose from I didn't really know what to order. I asked for some recommendations and the first the female staff recommended was the Caramel Brioche cookie. Sounded interesting as I have never tried a brioche cookie before, I decided to heed her recommendation. And as usual I am drawn to citrusy items so the lemon tart caught my attention. What was weird though was that they had the lemon tart and a bigger lemon slice of the same price, and the lemon slice being larger. I decided not to be greedy and chose the smaller tart instead for the same price. Also tempted by crepes so I had to order one and try. I have to say the bakes are of pretty high standard and I enjoyed them a lot. I also found the prices pretty reasonable and I thought I ordered too much I was very full. Highly recommend this place and I believe this place is quite popular as it appeared on several social media platforms before. Since I was alone, it was easy to just grab a seat and dine in the bakery and slowly savour the pastries. Prices are also quite reasonable.

L'Estaminot, located in Saint Cyprien just a couple of metro stops away from Capitole, offers a unique experience as a trendy tea room within a library setting. The interior is adorned with cultural artifacts and stacks of secondhand books, creating an interactive and interesting atmosphere. The tea selection is highly recommended, particularly for enthusiasts of Chinese and Taiwanese teas. Additionally, the cafe serves delicious gluten-free and dairy-free options along with delectable pancakes.
Excellent and tasteful pancakes, many tea choices! The whole atmosphere at the café was perfect, many books and posters everywhere! It could be better to book a table so be sure that you will find somewhere to sit! Lastly, the prices are very good!

Yummy food with large servings at a good price (€8.50). They have soy milk, and the coffee is smooth. Between 11:30 and 2 is lunch so if you are interested in studying/getting only coffee you will have a tiny little table on the side. If you want to come to chat with a group of friends for just coffee (no food) come outside of the lunch time hours. This is common in Toulouse though. Highly recommend!!!!

Absolutely amazing vegan brunch! The menu is creative and full of fresh, flavorful options. The tofu scramble was perfectly seasoned, and the pancakes were delicious and fluffy. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is super friendly. Whether you’re vegan or not, this place is a must-visit!

We brunched with my boyfriend here and the ambiance was great. They had numerous customers which shows it works well. I was fancying the sweet pancakes and my boyfriend the salty ones. So we shared some together. I can say that at the end I liked the savory pancakes even more. Overall we had a great time there.
Farnaz R — Google review
The food is absolutely not worth it. Service and environment are really nice and cozy tho. We took the Mexican toast and the “ramen”: Mexican toast is really bad, a lot of stuff for nothing and grey avocado guacamole; the noodles were overcooked and the dish was too heavy in general. I didn’t taste the pancakes that I think are their specialty. So in the end food really ruined the experience, also considering the quality of other restaurants/bars in the city.

The waffles were great, and the chocolate was tasty. It wasn’t the best I’ve had in Toulouse, but still very enjoyable. Personally, I would have preferred a slightly thicker consistency, as I love true liquid-melted chocolate, but many people will likely appreciate this version much more than the usual cocoa drinks like Poulain. Our tap water was forgotten for a while but was eventually brought to the table with an apology before we even had to ask. Simple waffles start at around 5€, and hot chocolates are also about 5€ each.

Criollo Chocolatier is a must-visit for chocolate lovers. The tearoom offers an incredible hot chocolate experience with a side of your chosen chocolate from the menu. Visitors can also indulge in buttery chocolates and other delightful treats at their boutique on Place St Etienne, which features a salon de the for savoring silky hot chocolate. The store is known for its impeccable service and exquisite selection of bonbons, chocolate bars, and pure chunks of chocolate with nuts.
Visited 22/12/22, queue extending outside, AND FOR GOOD REASON, I can really see why, a wide selection of top quality artisan chocolates. I visited this shop because of an online review, they have allergens clearly labelled on all of there items. I specifically visited to buy some quality hot chocolate as I’d seen it was gluten free, whilst I’m still figuring out the right ratio, it is extremely good quality. If I’m in Toulouse again, I will be sure to return. I assume he was the owner who served me, he spoke some English, my French isn’t good and thankfully the lady behind me spoke good English and helped with some of the technical translation. Monsieur was very kind and informative, and under the pressure of the Christmas queue, didn’t rush the interaction, and was very patient with my lack of french. Overall, 10/10, merci beaucoup ☺️

What a waste of time. I am standing here in front of the shop, which is supposed to be open for another 15 minutes. But it's not. It's very much closed. So for what did they let me hurry through the whole city in the heat? You couldn't have updated your opening times? Or kept it open until the end? Never again, thanks. You waste the most precious thing I have only once.

Captain Arabica Coffee Shop is a cozy cafe in Toulouse with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The interior is adorned with quirky posters, superhero figurines, and other pop culture memorabilia. The cafe takes pride in its local coffee roasting, use of biodegradable straws, responsible packaging, and commitment to waste reduction. Visitors can enjoy delicious coffee, salads, sandwiches, and delectable cakes while basking in the friendly ambiance.
The perdue brioche was SOOO good!! Lovely mint tea too. Great little place on Rue de Taur nr St Saturnin and the archaeological museum ( also good!)

Really friendly staff in this small and intimate bistro, made to feel very welcome. Great food and good portion sizes (tart du jour fantastic!). Some outdoors seating out front. Would definitely go again and recommend to others.

Visited this cafe on Saturday when the heat was having a go at turning Toulouse into Doha. Out of the desert heat there emerged this oasis of a cafe. Friendly, kind-hearted staff took pity on what must have looked like a oven-roasted tourist, whipping up a brilliant Frappe and good-humoured about my terrible attempts at French. The music was great, loved the design of the place with it's quirky posters. All in all, would recommend to everyone.

A warm welcome, great design and a cosy atmosphere. Tasty salads and sandwiches, plenty of veggie and vegan options, the best coffee in town and delicious cakes - there really is something for everyone!

Tea house
Pâtisserie - Salon de thé Léone is a charming neighborhood tea room in Toulouse, offering a delightful selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes and pastries. The warm and friendly service, along with the 100% homemade treats, makes it an essential spot for lunch or a casual meet-up with friends. With its pleasant terrace facing the St Cyprien market, it provides a tranquil setting to enjoy quality food and beverages.
Very tasty food, relaxed and cosy atmosphere, fast service and very polite staff. Although they didn't have the daily plates when we went there, they were flexible to accommodate our request. Of special note were the pea- based pancakes part of the brunch plate.

Cakes and coffee are decent, and extremely reasonably priced. (Love the banofee). The place is also quiet, clean and really nice for just chilling or reading a book.
Deb C — Google review
Quiet, modern and a lovely coffee. Staff very friendly.

(Translated by Google) A great option for vegans, delicious, and the coffee was the best we've had in Toulouse. The service was friendly and attentive, everything was great. (Original) Muy buena opción para veganos, muy rico y el café el mejor que hemos tomado en Toulouse. La atención cordial y atenta, estupendo todo🤍

(Translated by Google) A very pleasant little pastry shop, the cakes are very good, the coffee is not very expensive (6 euros for a pastry and a coffee) and the service is very pleasant. I recommend it. (Original) Une petite pâtisserie très agréable, les gâteaux sont très bon, le café pas très cher (compter 6 euros pour une pâtisserie et un café) et le service très agréable. Je recommande.

(Translated by Google) The best address - by far - with a lot of vegan choices in Toulouse! Since the Embargo closed, it was difficult to find a place where you can feel the generosity, passion, know-how and sincere desire to share and please. It's done. It's delicious, and the pastry chef-baker-cook and the waitress are top-notch. I almost selfishly hesitated to write a review for fear that, a victim of its success, the place would change, but the most important thing is to support the people who do great work! A big thank you to the team.

Tea house
If you want a beautifully British afternoon tea experience, head to So British. The cafe has an impressive selection of teas from famed La Maison Dammann, as well as sweet treats like scones and pastries. You'll be made to feel very welcome by the staff, who will go out of their way to make your visit special.

Great selection of teas and a great Tarte au Citron! The owners are very fun and caring, but the place is a bit overdone with all the furniture.
Michael S — Google review
Great ambient, in the city center with a nice view. Staff was ok. Sadly the food is sub par, and overpriced.
Ricardo E — Google review
Absolutely terrible, For a place called ''So British'' Not one person there can speak English, I found the owner extremely rude also and staff were sloppy
Anonymous B — Google review
So WHAT? Not even close to a brunch ... A poor english breakfast for the price of a night in a B&B in London downtown!!
Luca B — Google review
(Translated by Google) The living room smelled strongly of cigarettes, the welcome was unpleasant. The pastries didn't look great. We ordered 3 teas: It's simple, the amount of water compared to the amount of tea makes it a tasteless drink. Condition of tea balls: destroyed The poorly washed dishes, smelled of humidity, the old tea towel,... For this service, and quite simply these disgusting teas, even free I don't want them, so €12 is way too expensive.

(Translated by Google) The setting is very nice and cozy, however the rest leaves something to be desired! Many hot drinks are off the menu and what can we say about the pastries which are more than disappointing. The menu was not up to date and once we were served we could only notice that the pastries were not old, they were dry. Really a shame! Vraiment dommage !
Sophie B — Google review
(Translated by Google) Pleasant setting, too bad the pastries are not. Raspberry clafoutis which is obviously not of the day so sure, reinforced concrete cheesecake! Disappointed by the pastry and the waiter, how to put it politely! Not very responsive. In short, I only recommend it for the tea which was delicious.
