Museums
Cité de l'Espace is a futuristic theme park and museum in Toulouse that offers an interactive experience for space enthusiasts of all ages. Visitors can explore exhibits, watch IMAX films, and gaze at the giant Ariane space rocket. The museum also features a playground called the Little Astronaut for kids to enjoy while adults tour the Mir Space station. This space-themed attraction provides an educational and entertaining experience for families, making it a must-visit site in Toulouse.
The exhibition and museum dedicated to space and science is truly a remarkable experience. It features an array of captivating attractions, thrilling rides, and engaging shows that cater to visitors of all ages, making it an ideal destination for families. Nestled within a thoughtfully designed science park, the entire experience is both convenient and immersive. What stands out is the careful attention given to explaining the wonders of the universe. Each display and interactive element invites curiosity and exploration, making complex concepts accessible and fascinating. I was particularly enchanted by the rover exhibition, which offered a hands-on glimpse into Mars exploration, and the breathtaking moon takeoff and landing simulation, which transported me to the very edge of the cosmos. Overall, this exhibition comes highly recommended for anyone eager to expand their knowledge and ignite their imagination!
Dennis W — Google review
Great place. I saw a lot of comments that everything is in French only, well, that's not true, apart from some spectacles, everything is available in French, English and Spanish. However, they could provide some subtitles for the French only parts. I spent there 1 full day, it's enough to see the most important parts and walk through the whole object. If you want to really have full experience and see everything thoroughly, 2 days are recommended. Great place for kids, adults and anyone who loves space exploration. My favorite spectacle was the imax space images. Overall, highly recommended.
Pawel B — Google review
This is Europe’s largest space and astronomy-themed park, opened in 1997 in Toulouse — a major hub of the European aerospace industry (home to EADS Astrium, Airbus, etc.). This science and education complex features full-scale replicas of the Ariane 5 rocket, Mir space station, and various satellites, as well as interactive exhibits, planetariums, a 3D IMAX theater, and space simulators. Designed for both children and adults, the park offers hands-on experiences and educational workshops that explore the past, present, and future of space exploration. Visitors are recommended to spend at least half a day, with 1-day and 2-day tickets available. On-site accommodation is also available.
Seokjin H — Google review
Great time. We went on a Tuesday in September so it was very quiet and we got to do all we wanted in a day. Highly recommend the Lunexplorer and the Mars robot exhibition
P M — Google review
If you’re in Toulouse and even remotely curious about space, the Cité de l’Espace is a must-visit — especially with kids. I went with my daughter, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had together. The IMAX Deep sky show was fantastic. Gazing at the stars in the Planetarium made us feel like we were travelling through the galaxy. The highlight is the Lune Explorer where you get to experience being an astronaut on a mission to Moon. You can literally feel the 2G force!
Yash V — Google review
It's a must see if you are in the area. I would recommend setting a few hours aside if you visit - especially if you want to check out some of the shows on offer. Planetarium and take off simulations are great - the latter does have quite a bit of a wait time however. Translation headphones are available for planetarium - English and Spanish. There's also a restaurant and food trucks, the only thing missing was a coffee truck for some pick me up. Overall spent around 5h and haven't seen everything.
Jakub J — Google review
Love it! Very good place to visit. Full of astronomy, stars, planets, and fun things. Tons of activities to do and see. You would need the whole full day for this. Highly recommended.
Nopphol T — Google review
Nice space oriented museum, from the first rocket into space, to the future. Pitty that there isn't any Dutch, as a neighbour country this would have been nice. (Translating everything for my kids was exhausting 😁) A lot of interactive stuff, friendly staff, children are more than welcome to experiment and try things. But again, only in french.. A lot to discover, you'll need at least a full day if you want to see everything.

Sacred & Religious Sites
Basilique Saint-Sernin de Toulouse, a medieval basilica located in Toulouse, France, is renowned for housing relics of 128 saints and a thorn believed to be from the Crown of Thorns. This UNESCO-listed site is one of the largest Romanesque churches in Europe. The church's crypt contains an extensive collection of relics donated by Charlemagne to the abbey on this site in the 800s.
The Basilique Saint-Sernin is an unmissable monument in Toulouse. It’s a stunning and well-preserved example of Romanesque architecture, known for its impressive size and beautiful details. Built in the 11th and 12th centuries, it was an important stop for pilgrims on the Way of St. James. Visiting this basilica is a must for anyone interested in history, art, or architecture—it truly captures the spirit of the city.
Sofia C — Google review
Tucked in the heart of Toulouse, this basilica left a quiet but lasting impression on us. What makes it special is not lavish ornamentation, but the materials and structure themselves. It was beautifully raw and full of history.
Marie-Eve G — Google review
It is a nice and clean church, both the exterior and interior are beautiful, it was a pleasure to visit this church during a day trip to Toulouse and a walk around the city center. When we entered the church, young girls and boys were singing religious songs and a good spiritual atmosphere was created. The church was relatively quiet and had the necessary peace. I personally felt very good and I hope you will also have a good experience visiting this church.
Javad A — Google review
The basilica is one of the largest Romanesque-style churches in Europe and a major landmark of Toulouse. Construction began around 1080 and continued through the 13th century. The building reflects a pure Romanesque design with later Gothic additions, combining red brick with pale stone. Its most iconic feature is the 64-meter octagonal bell tower, a defining element of the city’s skyline.
Seokjin H — Google review
This is a truly mind blowing cathedral. It is the largest remaining Romanesque church in the world. Its soaring barrel voltage ceiling gives a sense of space and majesty. There are wonderful statues and some incredible fresco paintings which have survived hundreds of years. I must see when in this city.
G M — Google review
Beautiful architecture. We were lucky that there was a wedding ceremony when we entered so we got to hear the organ play live which was amazing. The entrance is free. Highly recommend a visit.
Cristina H — Google review
This church is really good if you're interested in medieval church architecture and history. Items of interest are well presented and there is an informative video running showing how the building evolved. Thoroughly recommended and free to enter.

Musee Saint-Raymond is a medieval building in Toulouse, France that houses an impressive collection of Roman sculptures, local archaeological finds, and a charming garden. The museum offers a diverse range of artifacts dating back to prehistoric and BC eras, as well as exhibits from ancient history and the Middle Ages. Visitors can also explore unique art pieces and handicraft works within its walls.
A fantastic museum filled with some very high quality exhibits. Almost all of the exhibits also provided English descriptions. The video at the start of the museum (on the top floor) was also very informative.
Ryan S — Google review
Given the 5 eur entrance fee I wasn't expecting much but was amazed by the displays. Not so much the Roman era busts, coins and mosaics, or pre Roman artefacts which were vaguely interesting to myself (although the very fun set of reliefs of the Labours of Hercules was a great reminder of those epic legends and a highlight), and much more by teh temporary exhibition on the 1st floor with outstanding displays of Egyptian sarcophagi, an incredibly well preserved mummy and other ancient Egyptian as well as European medieval artefacts. I happily spent over an hour here taking it all in. According to the signage, only 3% of their collection is on display at any one time, which boggles the mind - if the other objects are of the same quality and all went on display, they could open mini Louvre! Worth every cent of those 5 eurs for entry.
Gergely S — Google review
This is an archaeological museum, specializing in artifacts from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages, with a particular focus on the Gallo-Roman period. It offers deep insight into the ancient history and early Christian heritage of Toulouse and the wider Occitanie region. The museum is housed in a 16th-century former university residence, which has served as a museum since 1892. The collections include Roman sculptures, funerary steles, everyday objects, and early medieval relics, offering a chronological journey through the region’s ancient civilizations. ※ Included in the Toulouse Pass Tourisme.
Seokjin H — Google review
This is more like a gem of a museum, information is very well presented, and very well worth if you want to learn the history of Toulouse from pre Roman to the Roman times and later. Seeing a mummy made it even more worthwhile.
RV — Google review
Surprising gem of a museum; be sure to visit the upper floors. There’s a head of the female Pharaoh Hatshepsut and a mummy, many Roman imperial busts found in a single excavation, and several gold Celtic torques.
RaGena D — Google review
Although only a 3-star experience for adults, it is absolutely a 5-star experience for children, with many interactive activities encouraged for small children. Very accessible examples of Roman and Toulouse archeological items. Nothing groundbreaking but interesting nonetheless.
Kevin A — Google review
A nice museum, well laid out and presenting exhibits from pre Roman time to the medieval centuries. Many of the items are helpfully interpreted in English (thank you). On a personal note, I did find the exhibiting of a partially unwrapped Egyptian mummified person disturbing, as I think did some others. I believe that public sensibilities have changed since since the initial removal of the mummy from it's original resting place. The remoteness of their death should not allow us to forget that this was a human being, who's remains deserve more respect than being put in a glass case for people to stare at. Hopefully this will be something the team will review (as indeed Manchester Museum are doing).
Rc E — Google review
Very good archaeology museum for the region of Toulouse. Prehistoric, celtic, Roman, visigothic, and early French articles. Coins, marble statues, mosaics, pottery, tools, weapons, jewelery, papers, and more. There is a floor related to the Cathars and their defeat by the pope. There are descriptions for most items in English and many in Castellano as well. All housed in a nice old building. Pleasant staff. Good little museum store. And a small cafe adjacent. I would mark the review with 5 stars, if it was larger. Generally, very, very good.

The Musée des Augustins, located in Toulouse, is a fine art museum housed in an old Augustinian monastery. Since 1793, it has been home to numerous works of art, including Romanesque sculptures and paintings from the 17th and 19th centuries. Notable pieces include 'Christ between Two Thieves' by Rubens and 'The Descent from the Cross' by local artist Nicolas Tournier.
The museum is located in an old convent and it's a very beautiful gothic architectural gem. The collection is also beautiful with paintings and sculptures from the middle ages, a small collection but worth seeing The cafe in the ethrium middle of the building is also a plus. The museum is free and there was no waiting time.
Demetra P — Google review
Modern Art exhibition with focus on farming people. I liked the place and the surrounding park. It’s located on the riverside opposite of the city center of Toulouse and both the area and the exhibition are worth a visit.
Petra K — Google review
One of the places my son and I have enjoyed very much. He even took a power nap there and I take the opportunity to tank one more time to the very kind lady at the entrance of the light room, for letting him sleep on her chair. This is an old convent transformed in a museum with a beautiful patio garden with heavenly smelling roses and other beautiful plants that give these place a short of calmness and tranquility that you could only find in a church environment. On the other hand all the sculptures and artworks around compliment the settlement very well and the way the artwork is exposed, displayed is just fab. Loved it! 🙏
Gabriela I — Google review
Unfortunately, the museum is on renovation until 2025..., but the garden and a small exhibition are open. Also, there is a small caffe still working. So, I recommend visiting!
Larisa M — Google review
I paid 6 euro just to see one floor. The museum is two floors but the second one was closed!! The museum itself is nice but i don't think it was worth the money. There was a temporary exhibition when i went there so i have managed to see more than what i was supposed to. But still didn't satisfy me.
M D — Google review
Truly a wonderful museum of Toulouse. Museum entry free 12 Euro per adult and school or college concession available in the entry free. Some world class oil painting and collection of old historical items in one place. Must watch place in Toulouse. Highly Recommended.
Suman G — Google review
A fine museum. Although, unfortunately the paintings gallery is undergoing renovations currently, there is still plenty to see. The buildings and the cloisters and garden are themselves magnificent and house some great sculptures and many of Toulouse's artefacts from many of the other old and former religious buildings of the city. The serried ranks of gargoyles that line one side of the cloisters are marvellous as are the medieval sculpture and carvings. Within the church lies the reliquary of St Augustine along with some fine religious painting by such luminaries as Van Dyck and Rubens to name just two. I look forward to returning to see the painting gallery following its renovation due in 2019.

A great museum with lots of different exhibits. Some you do pay extra for. The gardens are particularly interesting. A zoo for plants with some interesting examples. The restaurant is good.

The Muséum de Toulouse is a fascinating and beautifully curated space that brings science, nature, and history to life. From the incredible dinosaur skeletons to the engaging biodiversity exhibits, every section is thoughtfully presented with both adults and kids in mind. The layout is modern and easy to navigate, and many displays are interactive or multilingual, which is a big plus. The museum’s focus on environmental awareness and the connection between humans and nature is especially impactful. A must-visit if you're in Toulouse — plan to spend at least 2-3 hours here!

The Toulouse Museum is a perfect place to explore, especially with children. It’s a well-organized and comprehensive museum, free to enter with the Tourism Pass. With several exhibition areas and even an outdoor botanical garden, it offers a great variety of experiences. A must-visit for a fun and enriching time in the city!
Sofia C — Google review
This is the second largest natural history museum in France, after the one in Paris. Founded in 1796, it originated from the collection of botanist Philibert Commerson and has since grown to house over 2.5 million specimens and artifacts. Its exhibitions cover a wide range of subjects including earth sciences, paleontology, anthropology, zoology, botany, and environmental sustainability. Many displays feature striking visual elements and interactive installations, making it especially appealing for families and children. The museum is directly connected to the Jardin des Plantes, allowing visitors to explore live plant species and observe local ecosystems outdoors. A full visit typically takes at least 2 hours to half a day, depending on your pace and interests. / ※ Included in the Toulouse Pass Tourisme.

Great museum we'll laid out. Modern with cafe and toilets. Great exhibition of natural history stuffed animals and dinosaur skeletons. Takes about 4 hours.

I have been to a lot of natural history museums and this is quite wonderful. Enormous display of animals; educational sections on earth science, taxonomy and speciation; thought provoking display of artifacts demonstrating basic commonalities of human cultures. I would have enjoyed even better if there had been English translations. The temporary exhibit on domestication of plants and animals. did have English and was brilliant for all ages.

Such an unexpected delight! Was walking past the place on our way to see the river and saw a few people coming out and decided to explore it. So glad we did! The impressionist paintings were amazing as was the architectural aspects of the structure itself. Very much worth your time.

This is the central square of Toulouse, serving as the heart of civic life and local government since the 12th century. Its name is derived from the Roman word "Capitolium (Capitoline Hill)", reflecting the city's ancient roots. Dominating one side of the square is the Capitole building, which houses Toulouse's City Hall and the Théâtre du Capitole, the city's main opera house. The square regularly hosts open-air markets, seasonal festivals, and public events — including a popular Christmas market in winter and concerts or cultural activities in the summer.

Saint Stephen's Cathedral, also known as Saint-Etienne Cathedral, is a medieval masterpiece located in Toulouse. This architectural wonder is a combination of Roman and Gothic styles, with elements of Baroque and Romanesque architecture. The cathedral's construction spanned over five centuries, resulting in a unique blend of diverse architectural influences that some find perplexing yet captivating.
St. Etienne Cathedral - Metz Built in ochre stone overall between 1235 and 1522, it has vaults culminating at 41 meters, so it is the third tallest cathedral in France after Beauvais and Amiens. Its nearly 6,500 m2 of glass surface has earned it the name "Lanterne du Bon Dieu" and it represents the major part of France but also the largest Gothic glass house in Europe.
Mazhar A — Google review
Very interesting but very cold & damp. Looks quite neglected around the sides, but it is well worth the visit. I was most interested in the style of some of the glazed windows. I don't think I have seen any quite like these!

A wonderful cathedral with an interesting history and fascinating juxtaposition of architectural styles. There is some major renovation going on in the red brick section of the building, so it was not possible to visit this area. But the main cathedral is wonderful with its soaring ceilings and vaulted archestruly stunning.

A beautiful work of design and engineering, the meaning of any Church is to welcome travellers, and to show mercy to them, I arrive by bicycle with my panniers, it’s pouring with rain, I enter the church with my bicycle and in by a few minutes moments a arrogant man whom works for the church rushes towards me, he tells me bicycles are forbidden inside the church. I must put it outside, and my bags, all 40 kilograms of them I can bring them into the church. It’s not an electric bike sir! This man hath no place to deter travellers from the house of god. Jesus welcomes travellers. Five stars for the cathedral Nil stars for the arrogant employee of the church To also clarify bicycle travellers are welcome in all church’s and cathedrals across France including Notre Dame in Paris because they actively welcome travellers by bicycle.

The Georges Labit Museum, also known as Musee Georges Labit, is a captivating 19th-century museum located in Toulouse. It was established by Georges Labit to showcase his extensive collection of treasures from the Far East and Ancient Egypt. The museum is housed in a magnificent Moorish villa near the Canal du Midi, designed by architect Jules Calbayrac. Visitors can explore various themed rooms dedicated to cultures such as Egypt, Japan, China, India, and Mongolia.
It's looks like an Asian Museum, it's has very old and beautiful and protected sculptures of Buddha, Elephant etc. It's a nice a place to visit once with friends and family. Kids will love the museum.

5 euro a little overpriced for a very short visit. The staff were not very friendly. The exhibits were interesting and were well displayed but there was no information about George himself. The garden had potential but lacked benches to sit. I think I would have been quite happy just to see the outside of the building which is really lovely. It's a way out of town but no toilets or refreshments available.
Andrea C — Google review
Information is only in french, and even that's pretty limited. Entry is cheap and free for students, and the (downstairs) egyptian collection is a bit more elaborate. All in all a nice small museum to cool down on a hot day, but not something to base a daytrip around.
Mischa K — Google review
Great little museum with amazing asian and Egyptian antiquities in a very peaceful part of Toulouse near the canal and the Jardin des Plantes. This is our 2nd visit with the kids. They really liked it also. A little bit macabre with the Egyptian mummy. Hopefully the original objects will be returned to their respective countries museums and replicas carefully made instead. In the meantime great place with kids

Quite small, I visited the place during 30min and that was enough for me. The location is nice. The collection itself is kind of complete but I think you need to be an connoisseur to really enjoy what's there. It's not my kind of museum but that's my personal opinion.

The 2nd best museum in Toulouse. NOT to miss. Mesmerizing architecture and beautiful garden in the background. Alongside amazing items from Japan and China and an actual MOMMY from Egypt. Best to visit on a sunny day cause you go straight out to the gorgeous Canal du Midi and the Port Saint Sauveur.

Quai des Savoirs is a family-friendly science museum housed in a historic 1891 building. The museum offers interactive exhibits and workshops for kids, providing them with hands-on experiences to explore various scientific concepts. One of the popular workshops, Plateau Creatif, engages children aged 7 and above in creative experiments related to topics like equilibrium and 3D.
My Experience at Festival Lumières AI, Quai des Savoirs Last Sunday at Quai des Savoirs, I was completely blown away by the Festival Lumières AI. The combination of light, technology, and creativity was simply breathtaking. Each installation felt like stepping into a new world—interactive, immersive, and full of life. The way AI and art blended together was truly magical! But the real surprise was the retro gaming activity—playing old-school games with my 12 and 10 years old kids. If you're in Toulouse, don’t miss this one-of-a-kind experience.

Quai des Savoirs is a lovely place for kids.Parents and caretakers along with kids have a great time as they recall their school and college years in a very interactive way. I, my husband , kids aged 3 and 6 had an awesome time learning, playing, experimenting

We visited the Comme des moutons exhibition. It was fantastic, high quality exhibits, excellent explanations and interactive displays. I am a retired industrial psychologist and I found this by far the best exhibition on these issues I have ever experienced. I took my 15 year old son and we spent hours there.

I was walking close by and I saw the announcement of the actual exhibition in the place, the Comme des Moutons. It was a nice surprise this exhibition, small but very cool. Great topic, well explored and presented. I learned several things I didn't know.
Luis G — Google review
This is a science, technology, and innovation center managed by the city of Toulouse, opened in 2016. The name "Quai" does not refer to an actual riverbank but symbolically evokes a "platform for the exchange of ideas." Its mission is to make science and technology accessible and engaging by integrating them with art, culture, and digital media. The center regularly hosts large-scale themed exhibitions that change with each season, making it highly worth revisiting. It also offers educational programs tailored for children and teenagers, and includes outdoor installations and hands-on booths for public interaction. ※ Included in the Toulouse Pass Tourisme.
Seokjin H — Google review
The AI exhibition is fine, a bit boring for kids though. The experiments "atelier pour enfants" were very nice, kids were able to use a 3D printer to print some tetris piece and the second part they assembled a robot and analyzed its actions. It was a great experience overall.

The museum closes regularly at 18:00, the security pushes out the people 10 min before in a very rude way... Besides this, the exhibition is nice.

Fresh food market
The Victor Hugo Market in Toulouse is a historic covered market with 88 stalls offering premium fish, meats, cheeses, and other foodstuffs. It's a foodie paradise featuring specialty vendors like Maison Garcia for sausages and foie gras, Chez Betty for cheese, and Busquets for artisan chocolates. The upper floor hosts five restaurants while the market's watering holes like Electro Bar and Bar des Amis offer drinks to accompany your purchases.
Victor Hugo Market, located in downtown Toulouse, offers a comprehensive selection of French and European food products, including popular beers and wines. I tried various cheeses, salamis, and fresh oysters, complemented by a selection of red and white wines. Ample seating is available on the second floor to accommodate groups of all sizes. I will totally visit the market during my next trip to Toulouse.

Great selection of meat, cheese, seafood, fruits and vegetables. Local produce mainly and imported food. Lovely restaurants on second floor service local specialties. Try the oysters!
Yvonne S — Google review
Victor Hugo Market is easy to find and very pleasant to explore. The outdoor area is lined with fresh fruits and vegetables — I even spotted some porcini mushrooms (planned to buy them later, but they were sold out by the time I came back 😂). Inside, you’ll find all the classic European market goodies — cheeses, meats, olives, and more. I was amazed by a beautiful little cake for €4 — couldn’t resist buying it, and the vendor even gave me a lovely box for it. At the far end, there’s a fresh seafood section with oysters, salmon, and all kinds of seafood. I chose a dozen oysters for €18 plus €2 for opening — €20 in total. Slightly salty, incredibly fresh, and so delicious that all twelve disappeared in just a few minutes!

Typical french market , long established. So many choices of stalls for products sourced locally. Very friendly and helpful shop keepers. The place is crowded with locals. The choice of French fromage , wines and patisserie is mouth watering. I keep coming back to the place.

Ken A — Google review
This is the largest and most renowned covered market in Toulouse, celebrated for its fresh produce, regional delicacies, and upstairs restaurants that make it a culinary hotspot. Named after the famous French writer Victor Hugo, the current building was completed in 1959, though a market has operated on this site since the late 19th century. It's a central gathering place for locals and visitors alike, offering everything from meats, cheeses, and seafood to wine and pastries.
Seokjin H — Google review
The Victor Hugo Market in Toulouse is an absolute feast for the senses, offering a vibrant and authentic taste of French gastronomy. From the moment you step in, you're enveloped in a bustling atmosphere filled with incredible sights and aromas. The market truly excels in its fresh produce section, with stalls brimming with an impressive array of colorful fruits and vegetables. It's clear that quality and freshness are paramount, making it a fantastic spot to pick up ingredients for a home-cooked meal or simply enjoy the vibrant display. Inside the main market hall, the offerings become even more enticing. The cheese stalls are a highlight, showcasing an incredible selection of local and regional cheeses. The sheer variety, from soft and creamy to aged and pungent, is a cheese lover's dream, beautifully presented and often adorned with little red flowers, adding to their charm. The knowledgeable vendors are often happy to offer advice and samples. For meat and charcuterie enthusiasts, the market does not disappoint. You'll find an extensive range of sausages, terrines, and other cured meats, alongside fresh cuts, all impeccably displayed and promising high quality. Beyond the raw ingredients, the market also boasts prepared foods that are perfect for a quick bite or a gourmet picnic. The selection of empanadas (both chicken and spinach) and chicken croquettes looked incredibly tempting, offering a delicious and convenient option for lunch. Whether you're a serious foody, a curious traveler, or just looking for high-quality local produce, Marché Victor Hugo is a must-visit in Toulouse. It's not just a market; it's a culinary experience that captures the essence of French food culture.

This is a traditional Japanese garden located within Jardin Compans-Caffarelli. Modeled after the gardens of Kyoto, it was created in 1990 and named in honor of Pierre Baudis, the city’s mayor at the time. The garden faithfully recreates key elements of Japanese landscaping, including a red arched bridge, bonsai trees, a sand garden, bamboo groves, stone lanterns, and a koi pond. It offers a serene, exotic retreat within the urban landscape, inviting visitors to enjoy a moment of peace and harmony in the heart of the city.

Restaurant
Restaurant Emile is a renowned eatery in Toulouse, located in a charming brick townhouse on the Place Saint-Georges. Established in the 1940s, it has become an institution known for its creative local dishes and sophisticated cuisine. The menu features regional specialties such as cassoulet, foie gras, roast lamb, fresh fish, and filets of duck. Chef Christophe Fasan's famous cassoulet is highly praised by visitors.
Wonderful little restaurant, multi levels. Some of the best food I've ever had in a restaurant. Excellent, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Strongly recommend trying the duck leg stew with beans, absolutely incredible!
Freddie S — Google review
Up until last night, I enjoyed several days of the most friendly people and warm service in this wonderful city. In contrast, Emile was a slice of Parisian attitude in Toulouse, and not in a good way. The food was actually very good, if pushing the bounds of overpriced - we enjoyed the langoustine ravioli in a fabulous shellfish broth, and the pigeon was as tender as you could hope. Slight niggles with the other two dishes - tartare of langoustine mixed with a tartare of veal just didn't work, the shellfish was lost in it, and then fillets of tubot with truffle risotto ranged between perfectly cooked and overcooked, which is disappointing when they are charging 35 eurs for the pleasure. Still, the food isn't the main issue. The real issue with this place is the staff. In contrast to their Toulouse brethren who welcomed us with love and warmth throughout the city's streets, cafes and restaurants, the team here (bar one young male waiter) behaved as if all happiness had long been sucked out of them and they took zero pleasure in hosting their guests. Cold, unfriendly and bordering on rude was the experience from booking (in person, a couple of days before) through to the dinner itself. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a cheap joint but when a restaurant charged 143 EUR for two, it's offensive.
Gergely S — Google review
The experience could not be better! The cassoulet was bursting with flavor! Much much better than "Maison de cassoulet" in Casteulnedrie which is home of cassoulet! The staff were super kind and accommodating and everything tasted heavenly good!

Restaurant Emile is famous in Toulouse for its cassoulet. Even though it was a hot summer evening, we did enjoy the dish. Luckily, we made a reservation as the restaurant was fully booked. The desert was also excellent.
Greg R — Google review
When a Grande Dame walks in with a walking stick, takes a seat alone at a table for 4 and the staff don't object on a busy, sunny afternoon and immediately deliver her favourite Champagne, you instantly know this is the right place for a great lunch. We dined here on a busy Thursday afternoon, ordered starters, mains a few wines and dessert, and everything was superb. Scallops still attached to the shell, cod loin grilled to perfection on a bed of perfectly seasoned potatoes that was a main course we wanted as a starter, was sublime. My Sweetbreads main was perfection on a plate, and the star show, the local Cassoulet, was delivered with a good luck wish of 'bon courage' as it was so large. If you're in Toulouse, go!
Gregory L — Google review
Just wow! What a dinner. The food here was incredible. We had the foie gras as starter and then the magret de canard for main. Absolutely delicious. Every detail. The terrace is super nice in the square with lots of restaurants around. Totally recommend!!
Emily G — Google review
You have to reserve your table in advance especially on weekends and holidays. We ordered smoked salmon and duck liver for starters. Both were great and better than expected. We ordered duck breast and grilled cod fish for our main dishes. Both of them were good. For dessert we ordered warm chocolate cake and orange sorbet which was very good. The service was great and fast. The atmosphere was cozy and nice. I recommend it to anyone's who wants to try French food.

Highlights include the Concorde, A300B, Super Guppy, and A380, with several models open for interior tours, offering visitors an immersive experience into aviation design and technology.

A fantastic museum with no less than two concords. One, a test rig and development plane, one of the very firsts of course was open to visits and was very much like the Embraer E195-E2 with 2+2 configuration I arrived on when you see to cabin space. But the entrance door on the Concord was way lower. So many objects of interests and then there is the outside that houses many more planes. There is a container way of the main building with free lockers for stuff you don’t want to carry around. Don’t forget them, I did and had to go back. There is a restaurant on the premises and next door there is a huge plane collection from a charity with an interest ion assortment of planes. Not open on my visit but you can se many of the planes from the outside.

La Halle de la Machine in Toulouse is a whimsical wonderland where fantasy comes to life through colossal automatons. Nestled in the Montaudran district, this unique venue showcases incredible creations like the towering animatronic Minotaur Asterion and its gigantic spider companion, Ariane. Visitors can enjoy daily demonstrations that include an eclectic orchestra made from recycled materials, featuring everything from old klaxons to abandoned guitars transformed into musical instruments.
Visited while on holiday from the UK If you’re in the area, you have to visit this place. The machines are so realistic and enormous that they absolutely blew my mind. The exhibitions are incredibly creative and you really have to experience them first-hand! They had an interactive experience running when I visited where the Minotaur and another of the machines came into the Hall and blew fog and water all over the crowd. The whole experience was amazing and I highly recommend it!
Henry R — Google review
My sense is that we visited this on an off day and that on the right day this would be brilliant. The machines are awesome, and the massive creatures are awe inspiring when you see them move, the dragon coming to life and the Minotaur were real highlights that beautifully fuse art and engineering with music. Located around the hall are lots of smaller musical machines and some fairground games, all very cool and a lot involving fire. They have repurposed everyday objects into all sorts of amazing mechanisms and contraptions that do all sorts of unexpected things. The challenge when we visited was that there weren’t many staff around and so almost no demonstrations, and for me that is where things fell apart. The machines are cool when you see, play and touch them or watch them in action, when they are stationary it is a bit dull. The design sketches and projection rooms are interesting but this was hard work at times. That said I can see on another day with more demonstrations in action it would be amazing. Worth noting you need some French understanding and even some google translate to be able to understand stuff
Craig G — Google review
This place was outstanding, I thought I would enjoy it but it superseded my expectations. The level of craftsmanship and detail in these designs is second to none. Also the fact that demonstrations are happening throughout the day makes you feel included and part of something instead of just looking at it. Fun for the whole family.
Joshua T — Google review
Visiting the Halle de La Machine is like stepping into a new dimension of art — one where creativity, engineering, and storytelling come together in the most unexpected and delightful ways. This is not your traditional museum or gallery; it’s a living, breathing performance space where machines become characters, and mechanics become music. The installations are not just impressive feats of engineering — they’re artistic expressions in motion. Each machine is brought to life through carefully choreographed animations, some of which even create music using unexpected objects. From industrial parts to everyday items, everything is reimagined to demonstrate the beauty of sound and movement. It's a powerful reminder that inspiration can come from anywhere. What truly sets this place apart is how it invites you to see engineering not just as a technical skill, but as an artistic language. The performances are not only imaginative and creative, but also incredibly pleasant to watch. There’s a poetic rhythm in the way each machine moves, and a sense of wonder in the storytelling that surrounds them. In short, the Hall of Machines is an inspiring place that redefines what art can be. Whether you’re a curious child or an adult with a love for invention, it’s an unforgettable experience that sparks creativity and leaves you smiling.
Reda Z — Google review
I really enjoyed the experience, but a few things you should now before going. It is not in the downtown area so you really have to plan goinng. It is close to other museums, so maybe it is a good plan to go to a few the same day. The place is small, it is not a big exhibition and from the big machines only the minoteur has a show. It is key to speak and understand some French to have the entire experience. Taking that in consideration, I loved it! I really loved the machines and the place. It is incredible what the machines can do and how they can amaze us still. There is a unique machine-like mary-go-round crossing the street that you should visit too.
Fernando F — Google review
Halle de la Machine is an excellent day out for young and old alike. We purchased tickets in advance for the museum and to ride the Minotaur. If you only want to visit the Halle, I don't think prebooking is essential, however, if you want to combine it with a Minotaur ride, definitely book in advance to take advantage of a combined ticket offer. The website said to allow 1.5-2 hours, although we stayed much longer. You'll receive a hand stamp, so you can go in and out as you please. Opposite, there are some restaurants and also an Auchan, if you want to get some food. There is a cafe at the Halle but we couldn't see any food being served there on the day we visited. The staff all look like they absolutely love their jobs, which isn't surprising, when they get to demonstrate bizarre contraptions all day. This is not hi-tech stuff, there's more of a steam punk vibe going on. (The Minotaur and his companions, though, are extremely technical but you just don't see it when you're observing because the detailing to bring them to life is so very impressive.) The exhibits range from the gigantic and awe inspiringly impressive Minotaur and dragon, down to frankly ridiculous but highly entertaining devices, such as the fishing rod sugar lump dispenser. Many of the exhibits had a Heath Robinson quality about them - watching the demonstration of Nutella being applied to bread has never been so curiously slow and yet entertaining! We rode on the Minotaur, which was a really fun experience and well worth doing, I think moreso to watch the reactions of people watching it go by! There were families of all ages and every single person seemed happy and awestruck in various ways. If you're in Toulouse, don't miss this fantastic day out. If you have guests with disabilities in your group, reduced rates and free carer tickets are available. We took a Bolt from the city centre, which cost around €12.
Tracey S — Google review
Definitely worth a visit , there's a carousel too , an exhibition, cafe , toilets , and rides on the minotaur too , not just for kids , you may need to book rides online as it does get booked up sometimes.
Andrea G — Google review
This is a large exhibition and performance space that opened in 2018 as part of Toulouse’s Piste des Géants redevelopment project in the Montaudran district, a historic site of early aviation. It showcases the creations of the French artistic collective La Machine. These machines are not only exhibited statically but are also brought to life through regular demonstrations, combining performance, engineering, and storytelling. The most iconic piece is Le Minotaure — a 14-meter-tall, 47-ton mechanical minotaur that can carry visitors on its back as it walks through Avenue de Montaudran. Alongside L’Araignée (the giant spider), these machines produce steam, fire, mechanical soundscapes, and the scent of oil, creating a fully immersive sensory experience that blends industrial art with fantasy.

The Chapelle des Carmélites in Toulouse is a stunning single-room chapel constructed in 1622, and it's the only remaining part of a larger Carmelite convent. The vaulted ceiling with oak paneling, hanging keystones, and murals inspired by the Sistine Chapel paintings make this baroque structure a must-see gem reminiscent of its famous counterpart. Located on Rue du Perigord, this small chapel is often compared to the Sistine Chapel for its sublime painted ceilings.
This is a hidden gem and saw it on a YouTube video of Toulouse. The ceiling is stunning and worth visiting. We visited on our way to the Jacobins Convent. There are accessible toilets and a tea shop. The venue is wheelchair friendly.
Diana F — Google review
The chapel's interior is charming thanks to the unique bright paintings on the ceiling and walls. Unfortunately, we had to admire this beauty only from the front door, since a modern installation was being prepared inside, and large screens blocked the view.
Olga I — Google review
This is a small chapel, but it is certainly worth seeing. It has a plain exterior, but once you enter, you are overwhelmed by the richness of the paintings on the ceiling and walls. It’s beautiful vaulted arches give maximum space for the frescoes and they are quite beautiful.

The Chapelle des Carmélites is a small but truly stunning place in Toulouse. Originally part of a 17th-century Carmelite convent, the chapel is one of the city's hidden gems. Its richly decorated ceiling and beautiful frescoes create an atmosphere of peace and beauty. Though modest in size, it offers an impressive artistic and spiritual experience. A must-see for those who appreciate art, history, and quiet places.

A little must see gem two minutes away from the UNESCO Basilica of Saint-Sernin. The beautiful paintings are well preserved. There is an assessible toilet which is very handy. Free to visit like the Basilica.

French restaurant
Le Genty Magre is a celebrated restaurant in Toulouse, known for its innovative take on traditional French dishes. The owner and chef, Romain Brard, has gained recognition for his hearty and meat-rich cassoulet that has impressed both locals and culinary experts. The restaurant's philosophy revolves around serving a rich and substantial cassoulet featuring pork rind, snouts, and ears from the esteemed Maison Garcia, topped with the famous Toulouse sausage.
Phenomenal cassoulet, well worth the award it won before with a great wine pairing menu along with our foie gras ravioli appetisers. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff and a great owner/chef who chatted with us after the meal. Highly recommended!
Dominic G — Google review
Annoying rule of one main each at least If not for the cassoulet, it would be a 3 star. The pigeon and the duck were not technically well executed at all. Duck was tough and not crispy, Paris-brest was average too Cassoulet is delicious though. Duck leg was crispy, Toulouse sausage was chunky and the sauce was thick as well
Yizhou W — Google review
Friendly atmosphere, good choice of local wines, their well-known cassoulet. Desserts could have been better, they were too sugary with little taste
Артем К — Google review
Superb food in a relaxed and friendly restaurant. I had the set 3 course for €49 euros, fois gras ravioli with caramelised potatoes was a sublime starter, so much flavour! Then the star of the show, the award winning Cassoulet, rich and creamy without being too heavy. Then dessert, a wonderfully light waffle with chantilly cream, chocolate sauce and pistachio. The wonderfully helpful staff gave great advice on choosing the accompanying 2 glasses of wine and finally an espresso to finish. Cost was ~€65 pre tip.

This was one of the best French meals I have had in France. Everything I ate was excellent. I highly recommend making a reservation and coming to this restaurant. The food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You cannot go wrong by booking a dinner here I 100% recommend that you come here for dinner.
Imogene H — Google review
I had Cassoulet the first time and I have to say it was work to eat it all, but lovely. The service is so kind, welcoming and warm you feel like you are visiting friends for dinner. Food and wine are all really just great. Better book a table online in advance. We spent 150€ for two with starter and dessert to share and a really good bootle of wine.
Alexander G — Google review
One of the finer meals I've had in France and it was worth every cent. I am impressed with how efficient and the friendliness of this establishment with only three people. The chef, an assistant, and the waitress who also works as the greeter. Never a pause but never feeling rushed when asking for recommendations. It is an all hands on deck operation. Short menu and in this case excellent execution. My second time having a Rossini and this place made it better. I like how they modified it for the better. I appreciate how the principal taste wasn't salt and butter. I could have drank the jus, which was fortified with cured pork. They opted to serve it with crusty bread over a crouton and it ate better. Who wants a soggy greasy crouton? The dish was balanced with full on umomi without feeling heavy. Nice sear on the filet and the foie was exquisite. I would have opted for shallots over red onions but oh so minor a preference. I went with the Galliac wine recommendation and it did go well with the beef. A tannic young wine (which I usually don't like), but leave it to France to make anything taste good. The dessert wasn't the star but no complaints with the babba rum cake. I like the fresh fruit addition which seeped into the rum. This place seems to specialize in cassoulet (not my favorite). However, if I were to try it again it would be here with duck confit. Only ten tables so I strongly recommend making a reservation. On this evening no further availability. It is easily done with a link on their website with a credit card hold. Ladies, don't wear heels unless you are a ballerina with excellent insurance. The semi-spiral staircase to the bathroom is steep with small steps.

Georges Bemberg’s Foundation, also known as the Hotel of Assézat, is a must-visit in Toulouse. Housed in an elegant 16th-century mansion, it showcases a remarkable collection of European art spanning five centuries. The museum features restored rooms that exude 19th-century grandeur and display an impressive array of paintings, furniture, and ornaments by renowned artists such as Degas, Monet, Matisse, and Boudin.
Possibly my favourite gallery besides the Uffizi simply for the breadth of the collection not only in terms of age but also style of painting. Loved the audio guide too!
Kayleigh M — Google review
One of the better museums in Toulouse (in terms of art; also, peep at the random Picasso painting). Historic paintings dating back to the 1500s and modern paintings dating to the 1900s. It has a decent selection and provides elevators and chairs for visitors with disabilities.
Denis — Google review
They have strict security check. I had to lead my food at the gate in a paper bag. Their lockers are currently not working, otherwise I’d love to impersonate a painter. Initially I thought the price is a little high for a small museum but later I realized it worths it. To protect some of the paintings, they installed motion-sensitive lights. The collection is also impressive. The temporary exhibition on jewelry is so shiny.
Huilian Q — Google review
Totally worth a visit! The permanent collection is beautiful, dare I say it was the museum I liked the most in Toulouse! The temporary collection when I visited was on jewelry, which was also very impressive with lots of details. On the permanent collection you can find works from famous names, such as Degas, Gauguin, Matisse, Renoir, Picasso, Braque, etc. The visit is worth the price, at least for once!

Absolutely stunning museum with tons of paintings by my favorite Impressionists. You could easily spend a few hours just wandering around. The building itself is beautiful, and the inner courtyard is just breathtaking 🧡

Founded in 1995, Fondation Bemberg is housed in the 16th-century Hôtel d’Assézat. Its collection spans the 15th to 20th centuries, with paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts from artists including Titian to Picasso. ※ Included in the Toulouse Pass Tourisme.

An amazing museum with soooo much good art! The staff was really friendly and helpful, when I went - midweek - it was not too busy and you could take your time. It's well maintained and has a lot from the french masters that you may want to see. Would definitely recommend!!! ❣︎
Vyara D — Google review
18 euros is steep for any museum in my view, but I have to say, this collection earns it. This grand mansion holds a wonderful set of works (including paintings, furniture and sculpture) from throughout the ages, a little like a mini version of the Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, displaying them in chronological order as you work your way through the building. Absolute highlight for me was Lucas Cranach's Venus and Cupid stealing honey - especially appropriate here as there apparently are beehives on the roof of the building. Although hilariously, I can't post a photo of it here on Google because of "nudity" 😂 so you will just have to go and check for yourself! There are also works by famous artists including Carpaccio, Canaletto, Renoir, Sicker, Signac, Gaugin and an entire room dedicated to Bonnard (not a favourite of mine, but interesting nevertheless). There are large signs in French, English and Spanish in each room to introduce the theme of the room. It was very quiet on a Wednesday morning when I went, I almost had the place to myself.

The park spans seven hectares and is located near the Canal de Midi, featuring an array of species including Japanese cypresses. Visitors can stroll through pathways adorned with statues and relax by a charming waterfall.
The path led me through lush greenery, past sparkling fountains, and over charming bridges. Each step offered a new and delightful view, making it a truly memorable walk.

What a magical garden😍 Beautiful sculptures, cute animals around (chicken, geese, unique ducks, rats) wonderful waterfall coming out of a rock in between the trees. Cute coffee place at the entry, which was open despite the museum being shut. The mixture of the autumn colour definitely made the experience even better. Make sure to exit through the bridge above the roundabout - I personally thought it was a cool experience to walk above a busy road full of cars on top of this cute bridge with plants with beautiful flowers on the each side of it 🙌🏼

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Parc Jardin des Plantes in Toulouse, and it was nothing short of enchanting. This hidden gem in the heart of the city is a haven for nature enthusiasts and anyone seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted by a lush oasis of greenery. The meticulously maintained gardens are a testament to the dedication and passion of the park's caretakers. Each section of the park offers a different botanical experience, from vibrant flower displays to tranquil ponds with graceful swans. One of the highlights for me was the impressive collection of plant species from around the world. Walking through the various themed gardens, I felt like I had embarked on a global botanical journey. The diversity of flora on display is awe-inspiring and provides a valuable educational experience for visitors of all ages. The park's layout is designed with relaxation in mind. Numerous benches and shaded areas invite you to sit, unwind, and soak in the natural beauty. It's an ideal spot for a picnic, reading a book, or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll. Parc Jardin des Plantes also offers a delightful escape for families. Children will love exploring the winding pathways, discovering hidden corners, and observing the various wildlife that calls the park home. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a photographer, or just looking for a tranquil escape, Parc Jardin des Plantes is a must-visit in Toulouse. It's a place where you can reconnect with nature and find a moment of serenity amidst the city's excitement. I can't recommend this botanical paradise enough – it's a true gem in Toulouse.

The canal connects to the Garonne River and features operational twin locks that add to its charm.
The Little Venice of Toulouse. Great for walk along the canal in the morning or afternoon and feel the nature. Can start in Canal de Midi which connected to Brienne Have benches all along the canal so can have a rest while enjoying the nature. Easy to reach by Metro and Bus.

Nice canal that looks really beautiful at night. Very quiet and calm with not many people around usually. Great for a peaceful walk. Residential buildings and few small shops possess the nearby areas. It has a few small bridges which can help you get amazing photographs. Very much in the city, which makes it easier to visit.

The section where it connects with the Garonne River is quite picturesque. The twin locks are still operational. When we were on the riverboat tour, we saw them being manually operated - love the engineering details. There is a pleasant canalside walk that leads to a new section of the Universite Toulouse 1 Capitole - Manufacture des Tabacs :: forrmerly a tobacco factory, the adaptive re-use strategy for this building is interesting. .. worth exploring. Should you want to take a break, there are several coffee places on Boulevard Marechal Leclerc, opposite the University entrance

A must see for everyone who visits Toulouse. The Canal de Brienne is a beautiful place for a walk or a run, and you see a lot of locals going about their daily jogging here. The Notre-Dame du Taur Catholic Church is located in Toulouse, France and is said to be the spot where the Bull that dragged Saint-Sernin stopped. The church dates back to the 14th century and features tall towers and a triangular gable typical of churches in the Toulouse region. The facade is also beautiful, with battlements on top of its bell tower.
Very special style of church, interior is more interesting than it looks like! Highly recommend!
蕭育正 — Google review
The church is deeply linked to the martyrdom legend of Saint Sernin (Saint Saturnin), the city's first bishop. According to tradition, this was the spot where he died after being dragged through the streets by a bull — a story reflected in the church's name, with "Taur" meaning bull in Occitan. The site originated in the 5th century as a small pilgrimage chapel, later evolving into the current structure, which was built between the late 14th and early 15th centuries in the Southern Gothic style.
Seokjin H — Google review
An interesting church not far from the Capitole. It's quite ancient with old and faded painted wall decoration in a series of side chapels off the main body of the church. Open to the public it is a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle to sit and contemplate.

Really cool place for kids. It has section for little ones, jumping house, big slides for 3-12. Many kids scooters and since the place is big, they can go around freely. It's a cute play area for kids and, best of all, is air conditioned... Located on a historic site in Toulouse, "L'Envol des Pionniers" offers an immersive experience into the fascinating world of aeronautics and the history of Aeropostale. The museum showcases a wide array of objects from the early days of aviation and provides interactive explanations about the evolution of airlines over the years. Visitors can also explore a room dedicated to Antoine de Saint-Exupery and his desert adventures.
The temporary exhibition on Air France was most interesting and reminded us how air travel has changed since my youth. The animation with the mock Aéropostale pilot was quite entertaining!
Nicolas S — Google review
Definitely not worth a visit, 90% of the content are posters, films and audio - you don't want to go to a museum to see what you can see on the internet for free. The only attraction is one large plane and an engine. Officially the tour is 1.5h but in my opinion max 15-20min. Also take into account that the drive from the center takes almost an hour and costs twice as much as the museum. I definitely don't recommend it.
Quin G — Google review
As a non french speaker, this was tough. I have noticed a pattern in some of the local museums, and that's the lack of translation in any other languages besides french (even the big ones). Everything looked interesting (even if few displays) but the lack of understanding ruined the experience.
Denis — Google review
That was probably one of the highlights of my for my trip in Toulouse. Was planning to visit the Halle des Machines next door. But their schedule changed unannounced. So, I stumbled upon this cool museum. The tour guide there greeted me when I arrived and changed to introduce in pretty good English when he realized that my French is almost nonexistent. There’s English in most exhibits. His tour was in French but he came back to me afterwards and tried to explain the history by simulating that I were one of the pilots recruited in the 1920’s. Very passionate people about what they are exhibiting! And his pilot outfit and waist coat etc are tailor made by artisan tailors using the methods from 100 years ago. You should check this museum out if you happen to visit the Halle des Machines even if you are not an aviation fan!

Garden
Park
Jardin Royal is a charming public park in Toulouse, France, dating back to the 1750s. This wooded oasis boasts exotic tree species, a serene pond, and a statue of Saint-Exupéry. It's renowned for its picturesque views and lush green spaces, making it an ideal spot for leisurely strolls with family or unwinding by the water ponds. On Sundays when most shops are closed in Toulouse, Jardin Royal comes alive with activity.
Really beautiful place to spend the afternoon. See some farm animals and maybe a few wild. Trees from all over the world. A lot of bench to sit and breathe air pure.

Lovely little park to sit and relax in
Deborah — Google review
The garden is spacious, green even in the winter when many trees have lost their leaves , thanks to it's exotic vegetation and it has plenty of chairs. Usually there are free bags available to collects your pets' 💩. There is suspicion of contamination on the Garden's lake for quite a few weeks now, and the place is isolated simply with a tape, so children and pets can reach those waters. Beware if you're ever there with them.
E. V — Google review
Beautiful place, smaller, quieter and less crowded than Jardin des Plantes. Perfect for a picnic, for reading a book or just for chilling while enjoying the nice weather. Friendly staff from the parks department.
Daniel R — Google review
Nice, peaceful and annotated place. Consider it while walking around the beautiful city!
Rex S — Google review
Beautiful tranquil garden loved also by locals, not just visitors. Love the fauntain in the middle of the park, colourful flowers and plants. Has ducks and gee's swimming in the little canal. On the weekend afternoons, the garden comes alive with fun activities for little kids, picnics, and friend gatherings. We even bumped into the A.S.Exupéry and Little Prince. 🥰
Zita C — Google review
Beautiful, clean, safe and tranquil gardens. A lovely place to enjoy some time on a sunny day. Right near the heart of the city.
Laura D — Google review
You can tell that the park is well attended by how beautiful it is even it’s still the beginning of March. With several statues scattered around the park, the overall atmosphere is agreeable. There are two bridges connecting to the park nearby, which is safe for all pedestrians and provides an extraordinary experience for visiting two great parks in Toulouse. On weekends, there will be an antique market sometimes next to the park.

Embarking on a river cruise with Les Bateaux Toulousains is an unforgettable experience that adds a unique touch to your visit to Toulouse, especially for families. This charming city offers access to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean through its picturesque waterways, including the Garonne River and Canal du Midi. Aboard one of their sightseeing boats, you can admire stunning neoclassical architecture from a fresh vantage point while gliding along the river.
Watching the river trundling seaward is very therapeutic. With sunshine on your brow and a gentle breeze whispering notes of bird song among the symphony of rushing water lifts your heart skyward. A musr see.
David R — Google review
Les Bateaux Toulousains offers a beautiful cruise along the canals and the Garonne River. It’s a perfect experience to enjoy the city from the water, taking in the charming sights of Toulouse. Tickets are available at a discount with the Tourism Pass, making it an even better option. Highly recommended for a relaxing and scenic outing!
Sofia C — Google review
It's lovely to see the city from the water and there was a commentary in French running continuously. I tried to follow as I am in Toulouse as a French language student, but it was a bit fast for me at times. I liked that the cruise included both the river and the Brienne Canal. It's a lovely activity to plan into your afternoon, and the canal in particular was very peaceful and pretty.
Carolyn V — Google review
Excellent value boat trip which was both relaxing and informative. We took the 60 minute trip. The English text translation of the French commentary was really easy to set up with the QR code and follow along. If you are in Toulouse for a few days I especially recommend doing it early in your trip as it will also give you ideas for visits and info for looking around (we did ours on our last afternoon and now have more places to go to when we hopefully return!)
Alice P — Google review
A wonderful one hour boat ride. Particularly the Canal du midi part. Pity no English in the commentary or headphones. Our friends enjoyed it too.
Yvonne M — Google review
A wonderful way to spend a sweltering hot day in Toulouse….drifting along under the massive Plane trees lining the Brienne canal.
David B — Google review
An enjoyable way to pass an hour cruising the canal & the Garonne. Guide is in French but you can access translations in English & Spanish.
Mark E — Google review
We wanted to get out on the water and this was just the right amount of time - one hour. We saw a taste of the tree- lined canal system and also the Garonne. It was an inexpensive way to have a good experience!

The Airbus Factory in Toulouse, just outside the city, is a paradise for aviation enthusiasts. The facility offers a fascinating look at the assembly line for the A380 and stands as an institution in the aviation industry. Visitors can also explore the Aeroscopia Museum, which delves into airplane history and provides access to some of the most renowned aircraft in history.
Boeing is so bad Airbus is better
Nishma N — Google review
Terrible organization of assembling tours. You buy everything online before with all data, but no people to help you upon arrival and it’s a total mess when you come there - lines, what, why, where, especially if you come with kids. We bought a tour on assembling airbus 350 for today. we were on time (30 mins before) and registered. They told us to wait in the corner with badges and someone will call us and take us. We waited. We were 6 people and nobody of us noticed that the group left, we were not aware. After 15 minutes of waiting we asked what’s going on and they said that the group left and we can come another day. And we came from Barcelona for this visit. And it was also 10 people more who couldn’t come as well as us and having „badges“. The guide left „although he called for us“. The stuff was rude and unhappy that we were angry. We got a free entrance to museum which is not worth to drive from Barcelona. Please, make sure people are collected for the services they had paid for.
Maria V — Google review
Extremely disappointing tour - 90% of the tour is spent sat on the bus. The only time off the bus is to one of the many final assembly lines, the viewing gallery is at the end of a large factory three stories up - In the distance was a nearly complete aircraft. More to see from an airport lounge. two plus hours wasted not including travel time 😬 - don’t waste your time or money.
Paul Y — Google review
Amazing facility. Lovely assembly line for the A380. An institution for the Aviation industry. Privileged to visit once. However the A380 is facing declining demand. And the Sept 2017 incident of an engine "dropping off" mid Air questions the reliability.
MILAN Z — Google review
These pictures were taken at the museum, taking pictures at the factory were not allowed. If you wish to visit, you need to purchase the tickets ahead of time, as they only open few days in the week, the museum tickets are separate, and they can be purchased there.
Rima H — Google review
Tour was good. Their website said we could not leave our luggage there but after all the hassle of finding a place to leave it we then found out the we could have taken it
Ivan C — Google review
1:45hr tour where you get to get off the bus once and get stuffed into a small observation deck with 40 other people for 15 minutes while the "English-speaking" guide mumbled facts about the planes? Never ahain. The 5-minute video from Minute Physics about airbus is worth more than the 16€ they charge for this. A complete disappointment.
Anne M — Google review
Much better than Boeing.

Grand Rond Park, one of the most renowned parks in Toulouse, is a historic site featuring a fountain, gazebo, flower gardens, sculptures, bridges and benches. Spanning over four hectares and constructed in the mid-1700s as part of urban development efforts in Toulouse, this park is named after the Bowling Green lawn used for playing boules. It offers appealing green spaces with thick trees and alluring water ponds.
Take one of the bridges over from an adjoining park to enter, it makes it that bit more magical. I love this park, especially after work. It’s a very social safe space. Plenty of benches and the fountain is always arranged so beautifully with plants and flowers

A lovely escape from the bustling city, it feels a million miles away! Luscious plants including large trees, greenery, and flowers. There are interesting statues and a fountain. Perfect for a little break. Include it on your path if you can!

Grand Rond in Toulouse is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. The view here is simply breathtaking, with lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and a serene connection to nature that's hard to find elsewhere. The peaceful vibes make it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether you're looking for a relaxing stroll or a place to unwind, Grand Rond won't disappoint. Highly recommended for nature lovers and anyone seeking a tranquil oasis in Toulouse.

A lovely afternoon reading in the Park!
Chantal P — Google review
The park is beautiful, well-kept and diverse in vegetation. It is divided into two parts. It is big, it offers rest on the grass with family and friends, it offers many entertainment for children. This place is like Eden, where you can spend the whole day relaxing and enjoying nature in the middle of the city. I love this place as well as I recommend it!
Elena — Google review
A beautiful, small, formal park in the centre of a huge roundabout! It is accessed by bridges which have plants all along them. It is linked to the Jardin Royale and the Jardin des Plantes. Visiting all three is lovely way to spend an hour. There is a large fountain in the middle, a bandstand and lots of statues. It’s a great place to walk or sit and watch people going by.
Andy R — Google review
A big park connecting all the other green spaces around. It’s spacious for kids to play around and dogs to run around. If you prefer to have a piece of quietness, it’s better to go to Jardin Royal just next to it. Even though there are just one street away, the atmosphere is different. Grand Rond is definitely more for family and community activities.
