Bar & grill
Casa Lita is a popular spot in Santander, offering a wide selection of northern Spanish pincho appetizers. Situated in a nineteenth-century building with stunning views of Santander bay, this vibrant bar is known for its top-quality tapas crafted by an acclaimed Michelin star chef. With over a decade of experience and numerous awards, Casa Lita prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients to create flavorful and diverse platters of pinchos.
When you are sat on a bench in Santander and feeling a little bit hungry but know all the restaurants are going to be booked out because its the busy season and you spot this place across the roaf and decide yo check it out. It looks like any regular cafe from the outside but once you are in you enter culinary, atmospheric, pincho heaven. The place is just buzzing and felt like it is equally popular with tourists as locals. We tried to return on Monday but thry were closed - looks like we will need to drive 14 hours back to Dantander one day then! Absolutely fabulous place.
Julie J — Google review
A little confused by the order system. Indoor sign says no table service but when I was able to flag down the waiter he placed my orders. Browsed the pinchos inside and when I didn’t know my table number, wait staff rolled their eyes at me. Table numbers are on the napkin holders for those who need to know. The single waiter working the entire outdoor patio was going nonstop: ringing up customers, clearing and cleaning tables, sweeping. Food was pleasant, went for the pinchos calientes including chicken curry, potato, vegetable, & cheese cassoulet, and bonito fish and cheese. The Gilda pinchos weren’t as good as they are in Bilbao. Did not prefer the cider, will stick with wine next time. Good for people watching and they remain open all afternoon and until midnight.
Versatile V — Google review
We had our visit in 5 years. Unfortunately our favorite tapas was not on the menu that day. Other tapas were great. The biggest question mark is about their beer. Why a Spanish institution serves Heineken?!?! Felt a very touristic decision
Jonathan R — Google review
I've been here twice, both times solo on busy nights, and I've received great service to accompany the best pinxos I've had in Spain. The food is fresh, coming out every few minutes, inventive, and absolutely delicious. Even though it's popular and busy, it's never chaotic, and they make sure everyone receives attention. I recommend Casa Lita to anyone visiting Santander.
Anna P — Google review
Delicious homemade pintxos, the pork and apricot was our favourite. Friendly and patient service, we will probably return during our trip!

Cadelo Restaurante is a charming and unassuming eatery that takes pride in its simple yet delicious cuisine, made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The menu offers a selection of mains and tapas sharing plates, featuring dishes like crispy sheep's cheese croquettes, baked rice with prawns, and Iberian pork cheek with almonds and fried onions. Additionally, the restaurant serves Asian-inspired creations such as crispy octopus with Asian spices and Korean-style chicken wings.
A marvelous experience. An excellent Spanish and Asian fusion, blended with a great white local wine. Additionally, an amazing and explanatory service. Totally recommend it!

It’s one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Spain. The food is amazing, and I’d come back to Santander just for this place. The service is excellent, very kind staff who provide great recommendations. My family and I were truly impressed by this restaurant
Neyla B — Google review
We visited Cadelo tonight after a week split across Biarritz, San Sebastian and Santander. This restaurant is easily the highlight of our visit so far. The decor is modern but not cold, and tables are spread across two levels. The service was absolutely EXCELLENT. While apologising for their poor English, the friendly servers gave PERFECT mouthwatering descriptions of the food along with recommendations. When the food was served, they repeated the exact descriptions of each dish - first-class. We ate grilled turbot, sweet and sour glazed pork with kumquat and candied peanuts, and roast beef slices with a spicy pickle salad and brioche. All this plus water, wine and a small dessert came to €100 - excellent value. A gem, well worth a visit.
Tony D — Google review
We did a walk in which miraculously succeeded but I suggest a reservation. The wine pricing is really reasonable. Food is great a bit asiatic hint to the usual Spanish dishes
김지영 — Google review
Fantastic place. We arrived at 8:45 and we had to sit at a bar since we did not have reservations but it was out of the way and pleasant at the bar. The place got packed after 9pm. The food was a blend of Spanish and Asian. We shared the buñuelos of bacalao, karaage of chicken and empanadilla. Dessert was a pan con chocolate, a deconstructed chocolate bread with chocolate ice cream. The wine (a bottle of Tempranillo) was pretty amazing. Great place for a night out.
Gus V — Google review
This restaurant was fully booked and they managed to squeeze us in at the bar. Service was impeccable. The food was outstanding. Open kitchen, everything ran like a well oiled machine. Spotlessly clean. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!! We felt extremely valued as diners.
Amanda D — Google review
AMAZING FOOD!!! I would give it 6 starts if possible. One of the best restaurants I have been in my life. We ordered at least 6 dishes, all of them incredibly tasty and yummy. Will be back and will recommend this place to anyone who comes to Santander. Also, 2 bottles of wine and some other drinks and the total for 5 people was around 34€ per person. Great price as well!!
Alejandra T — Google review
I visited this restaurant a week ago. Had buñuelos de bacalao, zamburiñas plancha, salteado de setas and charlota de vainilla + gel de flores for dessert. The food was perfect and I was especially amazed by the dessert. The flavor of the flower gel was very intense but not artificial at all, it really felt like eating flowers. The waiter was very attentive and I had a lovely chat with him after the meal. I highly recommend this place and would love to come back!

Located beside Bodega Fuente de, Parrilla Brasas is a small eatery that offers a variety of meat options and equally delicious vegetable-based dishes. Their menu boasts traditional grilled meats such as steak cooked on stone or the grill. They are known for their freshly-made skewers, which include Iberian sirloin, mushroom, chorizo, and croquettes. The attentive and friendly staff provide excellent service. The food is exceptional and highly recommended, especially the steak.
The 1 kg steaks were heaven dishes! I love steaks!🥹 I can’t complain about anything! The price is so valuable compared to every restaurant in London. Gosh! Really great deal for a perfect steak meal.
Winky T — Google review
Fantastic busy atmosphere and patient staff. We had langoustines al ajillo and shared the entrecôte which were both absolutely delicious. Would 100% come again.
Anna S — Google review
As a seasoned traveller that spends many weekends across countries in Europe this is the worst lunch I have ever had in a restaurant. The service was slow and took over 45 minutes to receive our first starter. I ordered a prime cut of steak - only to receive a small piece that was half gristle. For someone passing through Santander I recommend not visiting this place.
Jordan B — Google review
Very good place to eat a good meat, even though was a bit too raw for the medium that we asked. The mushrooms are very good. The place is very traditional but was full and the noise was too much we couldn't almost talk. The staff was friendly and very nice.
Pedro C — Google review
Very patient and friendly servers they have. Thank you. Foods are amazing. Refer to picture for the food. Well recommended for the steak. If you are a spicy lover, ask for their chilli. It's awesomely fantastic.
Garry N — Google review
We had a fantastic dinner there. Javier the owner looked after us. Great service, great food, great atmosphere!! Thanks Javier. It made for a great last evening in Santander. Some of the best food we had on our holiday. The champiñon muy muy rico very nice and the chipirones a la plancha were so good. Hopefully we will come back to Santander and we will surely go back and eat at your restaurant.
AJ — Google review
While they lack on the inside seating they make up for it with plenty of outdoor dining drinking and atmosphere. The food is clean and full of natural flavor. Meat, fish and veggies are a brief description. But if you came for the meat, you will be very happy when they serve your dish rare with the side of hot stone so you can sear it to your liking! 5 stars 🤩
Damien J — Google review
Perfection in grilled meats! I’m dining solo and although the menu does not offer a mixed grill for one, only for two, they did it for me anyway and it was spectacular! I also asked for a tomato salad.. cause health.. and they did it, super open, very cool, love this place.. and yummy house wine by the way! Thank you!

Quality restaurant with a good menu and excellent service. One of the few places in Santander to make an effort for my vegetarian companion, while the fish for me was first class. Good value €50 per head for 3 courses, wine and drinks before and after.

What a great find! And the best Las Rabas!! It was so delicious. Even the sobao as a dessert was fantastic! The seats at the patio I loved a lot. Las rabas + croquetas + beer + agua con gas + sobao = 42€

The hotel room was not the biggest of its kind, but it was clean and furnished lovely, so it did its job very well. It's very pleasing that the hotel has a parking lot included. The restaurant can be recommended without doubts: very lovely as well, and you can feel the love for details. The waitress has been very professional and kind and you can expect very delicious food for a fair price. We would definitely come back again!!

This seafood restaurant is a great place to enjoy some delicious Cantabrian seafood. The starters are especially good, with particular attention given to the fried calamari. The mains can be quite good, but the rice can be a bit bland. All in all, though, this is an excellent seafood restaurant that is well worth a visit.
A fantastic seafood restaurant. Everything we ate was freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. Anchovies were my personal favorite, but muscles were also delicious. Be mindful of the size of the portions; otherwise, you will overeat! The service was excellent, especially from the lady with the glasses (sadly, I didn't get her name).
Dainora — Google review
Really nice spot and super friendly staff. Would definitely recommend for a chill night with the family or a football match. The vibe is really nice and the rabas portions are outrageously large. I can’t quite communicate how full I am but 1000% satisfied.

Really good starters, especially the tomatoes and the rabas (fried calamari). The mains can be a hit or a miss (steak and fish were quite good, but the rice was meh.)

Restaurante Las Olas is a popular spot in Santander, conveniently located near a small beach area. The restaurant offers amazing seafood and fish dishes, with the Jargo fish being particularly recommended. Their salads are also great and generously portioned. Visitors can enjoy delicious sangria and homemade desserts as well. Due to its popularity, it's advisable to book a table in advance, especially for weekend visits. The restaurant boasts a scenic setting and has received positive reviews for its seafood offerings.
I definitely recommend this restaurant! Oh my goodness, the food was so delicious, and the warm gluten-free bread was also easily available (like in all restaurants in Spain in general), which I actually never experienced in the U.S. (With good luck, only 1 restaurant/100 had it). I highly recommend and will return! Next time, I'll take photos of the food as well, promise!

Great seafood restaurant recommended by and full of locals in the know, only 2km from centre of Santander yet overlooking the sea. Only 6 people when I arrived and 40 mins later it was full.

Very nice experience and definitely worth it to visit when travelling through Santander. We ordered some monkfish and the bacalao salad (the 1/2 portion is already pretty big!) which were absolutely delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful and made the atmosphere feel welcoming. Will come again!!! ❤️

We decided to go to "Las Olas" because we like seafood, it was nearby our hotel and the reviews were good. The scenery was nice; the staff didn't speak english but we managed to order what we liked. The scallops were exceptional; only this starter is worth eating to this restaurant. We like seafood and understand the taste and I can say that I haven't eaten such a tasty dish elsewhere; paella was very good as well. The quality/price ratio in this restaurant is really very good.

Vermutería Solórzano, the pioneer of its street since 1941, has evolved from serving simple seafood to offering a delightful array of creative pinchos. Guests can indulge in unique combinations like seaweed bread with thyme jelly and anchovy or crispy prawns paired with mango mayonnaise.
Loved the vibe & style of this vermuteria and their vermut de la casa and selection of guildas made us come back multiple times during our stay in Santander 👌
S. D — Google review
Had my spoken Spanish 🇪🇸 been better, Vermuteria Solórzano would’ve been even more enjoyable! Obviously a very popular destination from the outset. Decent glasses of Mahou accompanied by olives in a slightly spicy oil/marinade. Mitada Rabas & patatas bravas were everything I hoped they’d be! Dry Vermouth was a new thing for this ‘dyed in the wool Yorkshireman’ & very pleasant it was too - sweet even though it was ‘dry’ & @ 15% it wasn’t going to kill me. Nice big ice cubes to make it cold. Solôrzano was so good that I went back on my second day in Santander!
Andy B — Google review
I recently dined in. The fried squid was excellent—crispy, tender, and served hot and fast. The staff were friendly and even engaged me in conversation since I was dining alone. Although I had a small issue with my credit card payment, they handled it kindly. Despite being a vermuteria, most clients weren't having vermut. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would recommend it.

I did not like the main course, neither did my husband. First i was surprised, that cod fish is just one small piece for 20 eur, but then i was happy, because it was almost not eatable. I was very hungry, otherwise i would complain or better go. His dish was chicken, which was like they took all the chicken and left just wings and small part of the leg. This part of menu is seriously overpriced. Wine was ok, and cheesecake was truly amazing, although not in a classic way. Coffee is also very good.

Wabi Sabi Café & Craft is a coffee shop that embodies a unique lifestyle philosophy. Located on c/San Celedonio, just off the iconic Rio de la Pila in Santander, it captivates visitors with its stone walls adorned with various culinary delights and charming tableware available for purchase. The café's vintage furniture and spiral staircase leading to a cozy corner on the petite second floor add to its distinctive ambiance.
Run by two wonderful ladies - we entered the cafe around the closing time. Both of them were really welcoming, translated the menu for us and served us food. Let us sit on to finish our food and drinks even though it was past their closing time. The food was great, the women/owners were amazing. Really enjoyed the vibe. Wish them continued success and hope to visit them soon

Best coffee in Santander . They work only with quality product , everything is so tasty and service is amazing. The place is beautiful with a vintage vibe . I really love it

Marvellous little cafe with a relaxed vibe. Wandered in here on my own and the staff took pity on my terrible spanish. Very friendly and the breakfast was great. I had the deal with granola, coffee and a smoothie for €8.90. Worth every penny. Highly recommend.

Absolute gem! The 2 sisters who own the cafe are kind & helpful and speak English. All the food looked delicious. Our full breakfast was delicious, fresh & filling. Booking required, people getting turned away. Don’t miss out 😋

Such a friendly, comfortable atmosphere! I got the orange & carrot juice and it was delicious! Along with a mocha latte! Felt so relaxing and welcoming!

Lovely cafe, perfect breakfast place, cozy and calm atmosphere, nice music and of course very delicious food, fresh, colourful and healthy.

Service was very friendly, patient, and helpful. They had some great vegan options. We had the avocado toast which was delicious. The coffee is amazing as is the matcha latte. Can't wait to go back.
Michael F — Google review
A quaint little cafe with a lot of charm, excellent service and delicious, healthy food. It is tucked away off the main streets which means it’s not crowded or super touristy and the food is unique. They really take their coffee and their food very seriously and we will definitely be back!

Bar & grill
Mediterranean restaurant
Nestled in a trendy setting, VORS Restaurante & Bar is the perfect blend of modern aesthetics and culinary delight. With its stylish interior featuring bare stone walls and a charming terrace adorned with potted plants, it offers an inviting atmosphere for diners. The restaurant boasts seasonal menus alongside raciones—slightly larger than traditional tapas—and a delightful brunch on weekends. While some guests have noted room for improvement in service and dessert options, many rave about the generous portions and friendly staff.
Very tasty cocktails, kind and very polite staff and a nice interieur! Prices are fair! Perfect for a digestif / sundowner!

A Michelin recommended restaurant, that why we went there. The stuff is very nice, but they have a lot to improve. All the bread crumbs was on the table from the beginning until the end, there in not so many deserts or vegetarian options. Also not so cheap and the dishes kind of small (but tasty)
Yair C — Google review
Very good food and prices, big portions and friendly staff. Would totally go there again. Must have the cheesecake, one of the best I had.
Cristian F — Google review
Good modern kitchen, good service, not cheap by local standards but then again the place aims to above average (it succeeds).
Juancho T — Google review

(Translated by Google) DO NOT BUY HERE! I would not recommend anyone to buy from this establishment. You leave the premises with the feeling that you have been completely scammed. Extremely expensive prices for mediocre products. We feel nothing but helplessness for the way they have laughed in our faces as customers. I give it one star because you can't give it a 0. (Original) NO COMPRAR AQUÍ!

(Translated by Google) They're ripping you off. Don't even think about buying. They undercut the prices of products, overcharge, and, to top it all off, they have the highest prices. I'm going to make sure that these people operate on various platforms. I'm also going to write to the Cantabrian government to investigate them and keep them on their radar. All the negative reviews they have aren't normal. I'm someone who always leaves positive reviews when I'm treated fairly well, but these people are the complete opposite. They're the worst.

(Translated by Google) The Seur pick-up point is AWFUL. Every time I've been there, they've given me disgusted looks (the blonde saleswoman) and insisted I buy some cheese or anchovies (of dubious quality and at a bargain price). I discovered that there are Seur drop-off and pick-up booths at the pedestrian entrance to the Mercado de la Esperanza parking lot, and I haven't been back since. (Original) Punto de recogida de Seur PÉSIMO. Siempre que he ido me han mirado con cara de asco (la dependienta rubia) y te insisten en que les compres unos quesos o unas anchoas (de dudosa calidad y a precio de oro). (Translated by Google) They tell you that they are making an offer for a pack of 6 bottles of liquor... Nothing on offer, they charged me €124 and to top it all off they added a can of anchovies for €39. The joke is almost €200. They pack them terribly, a bottle broke in my suitcase. Plus they try to sell you more things. A scam. Don't go in, it's even cheaper at Carrefour or other stores in Santander.
