Great variety of food here although sometimes spicier than expected (not that its a bad thing). Great selection of wines and good service. Centrally located in the quieter part of Mitchell Street. Would recommend.

A lovely dining experience. Great service, top notch food. The entire menu sounded appealing so I went with Hanuman's signature butter chicken. It was so rich and flavourful - the best butter chicken I've had in my life, full of spice and a rich sauce, thickened with ground cashew. The black rice brulee was a delicious dessert to finish on, with a nice crisp top and silky custard.

So we did our research and was recommended to visit this restaurant. And then asked the Indian Uber driver, and the hotel, and random strangers … and yes … this place is as good as everyone said. We arrived just before 6pm opening and there was a line up. What an amazing dinner. #hanumandarwin #indianfood

We enjoyed the banquet for two! The food was fresh and very tasty! The butter chicken was awesome! Some of the chicken in another dish was very dry but did let the staff know at the time. Staff were attentive and friendly. little things like drinks arriving after entrees could be improved. The ratings on this place were high so I had high expectations. I wouldn’t say it is fine dining as it’s appears to be advertised. Expensive for the experience you get compared to Brisbane or Melbourne.

We enjoyed two dinners at this restaurant. Chicken saté and Butter Chicken the first evening and Chili Chicken with naan and broccoli cabbage the second night. Both meals were delicious. Kind service, though a bit slow on Friday evening. Servers Kim and Marvin were very pleasant.

It had been quite a while since my last visit to Hanuman, and I’m delighted to say that the dining experience exceeded my expectations. Antonio, who served us that evening, demonstrated exceptional care and professionalism, providing outstanding customer service that truly stood out. The food was flawless in every aspect, confirming Hanuman’s reputation for excellence. It’s reassuring and impressive to see that after many years, Hanuman continues to uphold its high standards consistently.

I enjoyed the experience of dining at an expensive Thai/Indian restaurant. Menu had a wide range of choices which made it disappointing as a solo diner I could only pick an entree and main (no sampler item for 1 person) The food was delicious. The service was good but missed stuff like serving spoons, or aligning the desert with coffee.

My birthday dinner turned into a disappointing experience. I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with 17 of my friends. I made the reservation in person, confirmed it again via email and voice call, and everything seemed in order. However, at the end of the evening, the owner approached me directly at the register and asked if I wasn’t going to pay the entire bill. I explained that each guest would pay for what they ordered — their own food and drinks — and when I paid for my own meal and drinks, I was informed there was a $30 fee for bringing my own birthday cake. I said I would pay it, but also asked why wasn’t I informed earlier? She replied that it was normal and that all restaurants charge this fee. What she didn’t know is that I have 11 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. Nobody mentioned this fee during the in-person booking, email confirmation, or phone call. As the situation unfolded, all my guests stood up and came to the register to pay, forming a line. After the first guest paid, she turned to me and asked, “If someone doesn’t pay, will you cover it?” I looked at her — still in disbelief about what was happening — and said, “Don’t worry, nothing will be missing.” Thank you, Ana, for giving me the worst customer service experience I’ve had in my 38 years. On a positive note, I want to sincerely thank the chefs the food was truly delicious, and many of my guests complimented the flavors and presentation. Unfortunately, great food alone doesn’t make up for how poorly we were treated.

Visited for dinner at sunset and the atmosphere and waterfront views made it an unforgettable experience! Incredible food, highly recommend the chilli prawns, octopus, and saganaki. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Darwin.

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The location was stunning, service was beyond compare. My choices tonight were chicken souvlaki for main course, and greek vanilla slice for dessert. Beyond compare! Will definitely return when we visit Darwin again.

We went to Yots yesterday as a group of 17 girls to celebrate a birthday. Everything was fine until the owner started rudely asking the birthday girl if she was going to cover the bill. She repeated this several times, raising her voice and using very expressive face, saying that if anything was left unpaid, the birthday girl would have to cover it. At that point, there were still 15 people who hadn’t paid yet, and the birthday girl said it was fine, that she was sure everyone would pay and nothing would be left outstanding. Despite that, the owner repeated herself two more times in a very condescending way, as if she didn’t trust us at all. In the end, of course, everyone paid and there was nothing left on the bill. So there was no need to talk to us like that. On top of that, the owner charged the birthday girl $30 just because she brought her own cake — even though, it was not mentioned when she made the booking and our total bill was nearly $800. For comparison, the night before we celebrated at another Greek restaurant, Meraki, and the experience was completely different. The owner personally came to the table to congratulate the birthday girl, happily stored the cake in the fridge at no charge, and kept checking that everything was perfect at the table. That’s what true hospitality looks like. Unfortunately, despite the food at Yots being good, neither I nor any of the 17 girls will ever return. The service provided by owner Ana was TERRIBLE, and her arrogance ruined what should have been a special night. It feels like a place that only cares about money, not about their customers — and Ana clearly have no idea how to deal with people. Feel sorry for the staff if she treats them like she treated us!

Had a fantastic experience at Yots. We had booked a table of 7 fairly late, for 8pm, and told them about an hour out that we were running 20 minutes late. They told us on the phone that this was absolutely no problem at all, and that they would remain open for us until we'd eaten. We ordered our starters over the phone when we were about 15 minutes away and were greeted with a waterside table ready to go and our starters arrived as soon as we'd sat down. Portion sizes were very generous and the food itself was delicious. The staff were extremely enthusiastic and helpful in picking out wines and food from the menu. Definitely coming back!

I recently visited Yots Greek Taverna and was impressed by the exceptional service, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. The entrees were a highlight, particularly the dips — full of flavour and beautifully presented. However, the mains didn’t quite hit the same mark. The garlic in the garlic prawns was too overpowering and cut into large pieces, taking away from the prawn flavour, and the tomato sauce in the other prawn dish lacked depth, flavour and didn’t quite match the menu description. The shredded cabbage side also felt mismatched too large to be a garnish and could have used seasoning or a light dressing to tie it into the dish. Overall, Yots has a lovely atmosphere and fantastic service, but the mains didn’t quite capture the Greek food vibe…

Last minute dinner idea, no booking and a bit of rain to scare off the crowds. Saganaki and calamari for entree, both amazing and portions were big. Lamb chops special with a herb crusting that was to die for and a tzatziki that packed a special spicy twist, delicious. Always have to get a gyros so we went with mixed meat and again was amazing.

An outstanding restaurant with fantastic cuisine, stylish ambience, and excellent service. The dishes are fresh, refined, and full of flavor – with seafood and meat dishes that truly impress. The wine list is excellent, and the recommendations were spot-on, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. A special thanks to Erika and Anna, whose warm, attentive service and thoughtful guidance made the evening truly memorable. With its stunning waterfront location and unique atmosphere at sunset, Wharf One is the perfect place for an unforgettable evening. A well-deserved 5 stars and my highest recommendation.

I had such a great experience thanks to Sarah and Erica! Their customer service was absolutely amazing, they were so kind, welcoming, and attentive. They took the time to explain the menu in detail, gave us excellent recommendations, and made the whole experience feel really special. Lovely meal for my husband’s birthday. We had the charcuterie board which was huge followed by steak. Beautifully presented and we didn’t need the sides that we also ordered. Nice service from Francisco who was very attentive. We had booked an inside table in the AC but were put outside in the deck because of a party inside. The downside of that was that it was really hot which spoilt our enjoyment a little. Would definitely recommend and would revisit.

We hosted our baby’s first birthday (Zhuazhou) at Wharf One and couldn’t be happier! The venue was stunning, food was delicious, and service was exceptional. A big thank you to Alana for her warm and attentive service, Gia for helping throughout the evening, and Erika for making the booking process smooth. Our guests loved everything — truly a memorable celebration. Highly recommend Wharf One for any special occasion in Darwin!

We ate there for a friend’s birthday. We ordered Beef Brisket and Pork Belly and they were both delicious and had generous servings. The staff led by Alana did a fantastic job in serving us. We couldn’t fault it. Definitely would recommend this restaurant to my friends and families. God bless you guys.

Booked a table on a Saturday night. I understand venues get busy but waiting for a glass of wine 15 minutes goes beyond any excuse. Mains took a good 30 minutes. Initial drinks order got an item missing, I had to double check if that was still coming however it was never sent through the system from the beginning. Service was bad and place lacked atmosphere, needs some noise distribution so people can hear conversations within their own tables. Oh and by the way, I did order the first two bottles of sparkling water but a third one was brought up by the staff without actually requesting it…. Yet the drinks we did ordered took ages to arrive at the table. Kind of weird, in the end I had to pay for it. Overall bad experience due to service being so neglective. Food is really tasty and was the only highlight to the experience! Maybe take away next time if I decide to give this place a second chance….

Food was very good, but when we arrived the restaurant was near empty and we got placed at a table next to another couple. Very close. I understand they were fully booked, but maybe spread people out based on arrival times. Other than that, it was a nice experience and we'll probably go back again.

Dropped in half an hour before closing for a quick bite and was not disappointed! Service was both prompt and very friendly; and food was exceptionally tasty! Will definitely be coming back again. 😁

We enjoyed a Friday night dinner at Moorish cafe, in July (peak, dry season). We booked a table for 2 online which was easy. The vibe is pretty young & hip, including the music, although the meals could easily cater to a variety of ages. Thete is an extensive menu & drinks list. We ordered 5 different tapas, which were all delicious! The staff were all very attentive & organised. Although we will happily award a well deserved 5 star rating, a couple of small pieces of constructive criticism though; we thought the music didn't suit the international / spanish / culture & style of the restaurant. And the order that we received our tapas was not in the order of how they were found on the menu, & felt the order in which the items were listed should have reasonably reflected the order in which they were enjoyed. We felt the prices were very resonable for the high level of the food & service. Definitely a centrally located restaurant to visit and enjoy whilst in Darwin. (PS- sorry in advance- some of the photos we had already started tucking into the food prior to photographing 🙃 as, being the usual with tapas, they all arrived separately at our table so a little tricky to remember each time to photograph)

Exceptional all round. Plenty of food choices for all our group's flavour preferences and allergy quirks. With the humidity hitting like a warm, wet hug from Mother Nature, we made our way to the wharf for lunch at Chow. We ordered a mix of banh mi, pho, duck pancakes, spring rolls, and—because balance is important—chips. Service was quick and friendly, so things were looking good. Then came the banh mi… the only dry thing in all of Darwin. Eating it felt like a personal challenge, like chewing through an edible sandcastle. Hopes were high, but reality had other plans. That said, food is subjective—maybe you'll love it, or maybe you’ll need a glass of water on standby like I did.

Great Atmosphere, food comes out fast but don't bother waiting to be served for dessert or additional food considering we where positioned right where the waiters come in and out and they could all see our meal was complete. Not a great first time experience, will not be back. We only waited around as it was my daughters birthday.

Fantastic spot with a great selection of Vietnamese and Asian dishes. The meal portions are huge - definitely designed for sharing between two or three people, which took me by surprise. I tried the Bo La Lot, Fresh Chicken and Veggie Rolls, and the Lemongrass Chicken - all were tasty, well prepared, and full of flavour. The cocktail list was impressive with plenty of great options to choose from. Staff were lovely, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. They were attentive throughout the meal and even took the time to explain how to enjoy traditional dishes like the Bo La Lot. Highly recommend for both the food and experience!

Laksa had no depth, tasted mostly like coconut milk. Chicken in the laksa was boiled and unseasoned. Everything lacked flavour.

This is the best Vietnamese resteraunt in town, great quality food with a great setting at the waterfront. Also great cocktails 🍸. Can get very busy at peak times though

We have been twice in the last week - with polar opposite experiences. The first time was Wednesday 26/6 and it was a 5 star experience. The service was amazing, the staff were friendly and attentive and were popping back asking if everything was ok and if we needed anything else. Food was amazing and we loved our experience. We went back last night 30/6 and if it was our first experience we wouldn’t go back. The wait staff were rude and rushed us to order even though we arrived early and there were only a few other tables full. There was no plain rice ready so I was offered fried rice, but when it was brought out it was barely warm. Our meals were lovely, but sadly our experience was soured already so we didn’t worry about desert and headed off to get that else where. One of the neighbouring restaurants had live entertainment out front, but the staff at CHOW ! decided to put on their music and turn it up louder which made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. Overall I would possibly go back, but we were all just disappointed after last nights experience after such a great one a few nights before.

About a 15 minute walk from our downtown hotel for dinner. Being from south Texas along the Mexican border my expectations were low but, wow, was I surprised. I had the pork carnitas tacos and my other half had the chicken enchiladas. Both were delish!! Friendly staff and great service. A big thumbs up from me. 👍

This place was recommended to us by some flight attendants who fly up regularly and let's say it lives up to the hype. The food was delicious and cocktails and margaritas hit the spot on a warm Darwin night. Would recommend the fish tacos any time. The service was quick and friendly with a creative atmosphere, this is a must visit.

Food was amazing! Their portions good enough for one person, I got the lamb enchiladas (very lamb flavour) and my friend got the chicken enchiladas (more on the cilantro flavour) . We also got the corn appetizer, (I don’t remember the name, nor did I take a picture) but definitely worth trying the appetizer!

We were very grateful for the service given to us by Andrea. She was a great hostess welcoming warm and friendly advising us on the their menu and recommended the quesadillas which we thoroughly enjoyed; along with our cocktails. The food portions were generous and delicious! Andreas warm and friendly approach was very refreshing and we really appreciated her help on advice of where to shop in Darwin. Thank you Andrea! Terrible tacos. I came in for the taco happy hour – I ordered 2 to start and that is also where it ended. Both tacos were cold. The pork taco was dry as all hell and lacked flavour. The chicken taco, although not as dry, was as bland as a soy boy. I would have loved to smother these in hot sauce, but the refrigerated sauce provided was congealed and would not come out of the bottle – rendering it useless. The one star is for the service and lagoon view. I would have loved to try the interesting desserts, but the taco experience left such a literal bad taste in my mouth that I just got the heck out of there, never to return.

3.5 stars is a fair rating. Waitress dropped some food on the floor prior to serving laughed it off. No follow up action. When ordering told food would come out together- nope came out 20mins apart. Fish Tarcos Yummy! Food is good overall but overpriced for the serving size. Best place for drinks only IMO.

Food was good. Korean fried chicken and small bowl of rice was expensive to my liking. The tempura eggplant was very nicely cooked. The kitchen did cater for my request to have one half of the Korean fried chicken in one flavour and the other half in another flavour.

Most honest three star review I've ever given. Beer selection was good, however the staff were not very informed about the selection they were offering. The venue and atmosphere was fantastic, suited to the food perfectly. It was the food that kinda dropped the ball however. Pork dumplings were very nice, cooked just right. The spicy seafood was something that we were all excited for but what we got did not get close to the expectations. It would have been barely worth the money at $10 less. Prawns (all 3.5) were cooked ten minutes too long and were harder to shell than a mud crab. Was more or less a plate of squid. And the crime here was the lack of spice which seriously was the one thing that I was expecting. Flavour was a little bit mild too. Chicken wings were cooked perfect, but thats the only thing done right. Pigeon wings in a kilo of batter with enough dipping sauce for maybe four of the ten on the plate. The batter rendered them flavourless and the sauce was there as a tease.. Actually the pickled veg was good too. Condements were par for the course. The other issue I took was the young girl looking after us had no energy and really struggled to understand what she was serving, even the drinks were above her pay grade. We jumped ship before desert and opted for some icecream from John's down the road.

Dumplings are delicious and you can have it for just $1 each for happy hour. The BBQ was good too,marinated beef, chicken and pork were tender and melt in the mouth. Just 3 stars because of the service, slow and rude, you don't feel really welcome. They had a fully booked restaurant and not enough staff to serve and clean tables. With the BBQ on our table the room temperature was not cold enough, we sweat a lot. The atmosphere is nice. Food: 7/10 very good Service: 5/10 need more staff to do better Atmosphere: 7/10 nice

Delicious dinner at this hip Korean joint in one of the laneways in Darwin. We planned for a drink but stayed for dinner - glad we did as food was excellent. Also good value. Great cocktails as well.

Went online and found this restaurant in Darwin CBD in their most colourful small laneway, surprisingly I got the best Barramundi fish in my life in this cozy, chic and trendy place for Darwin reminds me of Melbourne. LMK completed my night because I arrived in Darwin late and this restaurant is still open until 10pm. What a good introduction for Darwin.

My favourite favourite restaurant in Darwin, always good quality food and the barbecue is great fun for my kids! The cocktails from the loading bay are always so tasty. Best dishes to have are lobster prawn wanton and chicken pop. A must try when visiting town!!

Loved the concept and menu here. It was a little hard to take however once it filled up and many were cooking their meals at their table. Owners need to address a smoke filled room better than small exhaust fans. Great experience and food.

Beautiful Indian food, well presented and fairly priced. Service was attentive and pleasant. The waiter was great in dealing with my food allergies and had clearly noted this from my online booking. Only complaint is that I ate too much!

We've been getting food from Saffron (both main restaurant and express as takeaway) for around 8 years. The prices have gone up markedly in the past few years, and the balance has tipped now that in my view the (admittedly very good) food is no longer worth the exorbitant cost. I appreciate that all restaurants have put prices up as costs rise, but Saffrron seems to have done so significantly more than most others. I now can't justify the massive cost of food from here, so eat elsewhere. Fortunately there is no shortage of similar good restaurants in Darwin which are more reasonably priced. If the Saffrron prices become more reasonable in the future (very unlikely I suspect) I will return, but for now I've moved on and won't be returning.

It's been a while since we've eaten here (normally get take out), but tonight was a bit of a special occasion so we went in for dinner, and it were delighted with the amazing flavours and great service we received. Definitely one of the top restaurants in Darwin for Indian/Sri Lankan cuisine.

I order one curry with butter chicken using Uber and the first thing I got pissed off was they didn’t even gave any cutleries or napkins. Besides, the rice was not cooked well and it was sticky. Talking about the butter chicken, I had never ate such worse one from any Indian restaurants in Darwin ever. I doubt if it was even fresh as the chicken pieces tasted stale. You guys used to be amazing, but this order totally disappointed me. Try to take care of these basic things which could have been easily avoided.

Booked ahead and got a table on the beach. The sunset was spectacular. The live entertainment was very good. Choice of drinks was good. Food was good quality pub level. Would have liked a few lighter options. Service was friendly.

The atmosphere by the beach is fantastic, especially if you come just before sunset. Food was okay (this does not mean it is bad). Definitely more of casual outing.

Hats off to Chef Rohan. He is the best and he makes the finest Nepali cuisine for buffet in town, and nobody can compete. Every single dish was absolutely delicious; whatever you taste here, it’s the best, no doubt about it. The hospitality was outstanding too. We never had to call anyone for top-ups or other service, the staff came by themselves, attentive and caring throughout. The service was smooth, and all of our guests were just as impressed, constantly complimenting the food. From start to finish, it was a perfect dining experience. Shoutout to the Chef and the team. I have just returned to Darwin for a holiday 32yrs after leaving as a teen. This place holds great memories for me and to be able to come back with my hubby was lovely. Such a lovely place to sit and admire the view.

Amazing food and venue, tipped up for lunch and watched the storm roll in. Huge portions sizes and delicious meals.

View amazing, service friendly. Value less than great though-$20 cerviche gave what felt like about 20 g of fish (7cm x5cm bowl total with filler veg) and a whole lot of rice crackers, croc fillet and S&P squid also expensive for the size of serve provided. Tasty enough. I wonder it maybe the larger dishes are better value?

We were craving pizza and this place satisfied. The pizza was good! We had the diavola and Regina. It's loud and noisy, the bar is right there and shakers are constantly going. You walk through the casino to get to it. But you have a nice view of the sunset.

We had an incredible lunch at Il Piatto! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. Service throughout our meals was top notch, attentive without being intrusive and always available to check in and make sure we had everything we needed. Every dish is worth the price! We had the ravioli (surprisingly good), steak, lasagna (my fave!), ragu, pizza. Clarence our server recommended a selection of great wines that paired perfectly with our meals, enhancing the overall experience. Well done guys!

It s a beautiful restaurant but the fact that the waiters try to upsell is annoying. Also I had this pasta but I ate no More than 15%. When they removed my plate they did not bother asking me. The pasta was too oily cooked with low quality oil definitely not olive oil. Paying 30$ and not eating it’s pretty annoying. Maybe I had bad luck.

Pizza. Came here for the pizza and did not disappoint but the tuna omg so good and the pork belly oh my! Everything was consistent, fresh and flavourful. Even the tiramisu at the end was really good. My only complaint, and maybe it’s something I should have thought about being at a casino was the doof doof next door at the pool. Felt like I was having a nice meal inside a night club.

Our servers were lovely, food was incredible and the atmosphere was delightful. All dishes came out promptly and were delicious. Couldn’t complain about a single thing, every part of the evening exceeded expectations. Absolutely wonderful and we will be sure to come back again!

Il Piatto is one of Darwin’s best restaurants. Their woodfired pizzas 🍕 and handmade pastas 🍝 are top-notch, with the beef ragu pasta being a standout dish—rich, hearty, and full of flavour. The mains are equally impressive, but the real star of the menu is the CSG cocktail (CLARENZ Special Gin) 🍸 – hands down the most refreshing and perfectly balanced drink on offer. It’s a must-try. The atmosphere is relaxed yet refined ✨, and the service is always on point. Special mention to Dustine, the restaurant manager – an absolute legend 🙌 who’ll always find you a table, even when it’s packed. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the steak offering 🥩. A better selection of premium cuts, especially something for sharing like a wagyu bone-in ribeye, would take the menu to the next level. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars all around. Highly recommended. Absolutely beautiful venue with an amazing view of mindil beach. Sunset was incredible. Food unfortunately took 50 minutes to come out after ordering with the restaurant not being overly busy. Our table ordered the steak tenderloin, barramundi, salmon and the lamb rack. No steak knives were brought out for steak or the lamb, which was much to tough to cut with a butter knife. Staff were lovely when we requested steak knives after flagging someone down. Although had to ask twice as they only brought out 1. Barramundi was nice, but lacked portion size with sides. Salmon was dry and the prawns it came with were covered in sauce, but still had the shells on. Making it an incredibly messy feat to attempt to remove the shells. Spoke to staff about this when they asked for feedback and they were very understanding and communicated that this is a regular comment made by customers. The lamb rack was a large portion with decent portion of sides, tasted lovely, lamb was slightly tough, but overall was happy with it. Till a few hours later when I got food poisoning which completely takes away from the whole meal and experience.

Fantastic we ordered the deluxe platter. The staff are very hospitable, warm, welcoming. This is the true example of Territorian spirit, they really care about their customers, the food was absolutely delicious, it was well worth the money we paid. The kilpatrick oysters was absolutely yummy, the scallops melted in your mouth, the lobster , bugs very tender and perfectly cooked. Can’t fault a thing and seafood is rather hard to get perfect, very fresh.

The location is very nice, just be careful of birds while eating. The service is slow, I had to ask many times to clear the plates, order new beverages, napkins, and salt and pepper. The food was ok. I ordered the soup of the day, which was pumpkin, and it did not have any flavour, didn't even know it was pumpkin honestly. I tried the garlic bread, which had quite the presentation, and was quite delicious. I ordered the New York Strip and asked for medium rare, it came out close to well done and there was no seasoning on the steak at all. When I ordered the steak the waitress asked me about sauces and I picked one they recommended, did not know it was gonna cost $4. I added fried calamari to my meal and it was not too bad, no dipping sauces provided. A friend I was dining with had a seagull poop into his food and the wait staff replaced his meal quickly. Come here for the ambience and drinks. The toilet could be cleaner and brighter. Wharf discount available, no military discount. Personally I will not come back here.

Disappointed ☹️. Best garlic bread I've ever had, but "low alcohol beer" was ordinary beer 🍻 and not non alcoholic or low alcohol. Got the earliest sitting to ensure full menu to choose from, guess what, no cranbs.....very disappointed as last day in Australia. Ordered "Morton bay bugs" and they definitely were not fresh and had been taken out from the freezer. Quite pricey for what it is. No sun shades.

Wow! A shuttle bus driver said this was the best restaurant in Darwin and we agree. We bought a platter for 3 (at the recommendation of the lady who served us). Platter was large and more than enough food for 3 people. Service was personal and spot on. The ambiance outside on the wharf with the sunset was amazing.

A very popular venue most evenings, glad we booked in advance or there wouldn't have been an empty seat. The place was packed on a Friday evening and the poor staff did well running around catering to everyone's needs. There was a 75 min wait time from ordering to getting the delicious meal on our table but with the fab sunset views and the tasty dishes we didnt mind too much.

What a place and what a location!! The food is amazing and such great value! Make the time to go there!!! I also loved the service, I dont think ive had so many staff at a venue ask if I was being looked after or had ordered 👍

We love this place, from the seating, view, the staff ( they are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble)and especially the food. We had the deluxe seafood platter ( wow), and a friend had the seafood platter for one ( well worth the money). I found the wine a bit expensive, so make sure you look at the cost before ordering. Highly recommend booking in advance. Make sure you take your camera, the view is stunning, and we had a blood moon. The toilets are clean and big enough for disabled people with no step to manage. Vibes on full! And the food & drink matches!! I tried the pistachio cold foam iced latte and it’s to die for (I don’t even like pistachio) haha and it was unreal! Sweet, cool, and nutty! And the poached chicken bowl was nourishing and healthy! Staff was so prompt, and every single one greeted me. You must go here!

Amazing vibe, great team members who happy to answer any questions, atmosphere is fantastic amongst all the plants and more importantly they know how to make a good coffee. Very packed on a Friday morning compared to the other cafés and bakeries around. We ordered an eggs benny, a toastie, and two coffees. Interestingly, the eggs benny came out before the coffee, which isn’t usually the case elsewhere. It was served with smoked salmon and spinach on sourdough. The portion was just right for one, so we ended up ordering another toastie to share from the takeaway menu. Taste-wise, the eggs benny was average, and the ham and cheese toastie was pretty standard as well. Coffee was fine, nothing standout. Do note there’s a credit card surcharge, so I opted to pay cash. Prices are as listed on the menu with no extra taxes or hidden charges.

I got the famous Indo brekkie bowl with halloumi side and it was amazing, sambal was spicy but could be easily avoided and the cucumber made it nice and fresh too. I’ve also had their nourish bowl and chili scram, both of which I would recommend to friends. Their coffee is tasty, smooth and always made really well

Great breaky, coffee and vibe but get some new knives. 🔪 I ordered the chilli scrambled eggs – it was delicious – although I would’ve loved a little more kick. My only criticism, and a pet peeve, is that the knife provided does not cut through their delicious crusty bread. Although entertaining – I don’t generally enjoy fighting with my breaky. Please give us some serrated knives. The coffee is always top notch, haven’t had a bad one yet.

Really glad we stopped into Laneway. The coffee was good, the menu was okay. I had the chilli scrambled eggs and my partner had the laneway breakfast. A tad on the expensive side but that’s okay. The eggs are amazing. The venue is lovely, although too loud. I could hardly hear my partner and we were very close to the person next to us. I would recommend laneway though, even if you just grab take away coffees.

Laneway Coffee in Darwin is such a gem! The vibe here is super chill and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax. The coffee is absolutely on point—rich, smooth, and expertly made. I also loved their freshly squeezed juices, which are bursting with flavor. This week’s mix of passion fruit, coconut, mango, and apple was simply incredible—so fresh and delicious! Highly recommend for great coffee, amazing juices, and good vibes all around.

The location of this restaurant is excellent, with beautiful surroundings. On weekends, the area is lively and bustling with people gathering and having fun. There are many flavors of oysters to choose from, and they are all delicious. The only downside is that the food takes a long time to be served, probably because of the weekend crowds.

The Oyster Bar is hands-down one of my favourite spots in Darwin! I go there all the time—whether it’s for my birthday, a casual dinner out, or to impress interstate guests. The food is always fresh and amazing, the cocktails are just as incredible, and the view over the water is absolutely lovely. The staff are always so friendly and provide great service, making every visit a 10/10. 🦪🍹✨

On 3rd May I visited the restaurant along with my family and friends. It’s was my first time there but the service was really embarrassing specially when you see the area and the place and value of money as per that the service should be better than what I saw. Table was not that clean. The server should be there Atleast at the time of sitting to clean the table. But no way . Please work on your service section. Thanks a lot

Staff did not even bother checking on us if we were looking for a table which we were but did have a booking, overall food was great but the price to portion is on the expensive side with the portion lacking. Tried to order to the website via QR code seems easy but at the end they do not have apple pay only gift cards or credit card? which I don't have seems outdated to me. food arrive fairly quick and restaurant seems maintain and clean.

- Staff not very attentive. - Staff member at counter who took my order had attitude towards myself and another staff member, rolling his eyes, not paying attention and getting part of my order wrong. - I ordered the Mixed Oysters of 4 types, only for it to come out as 3 types. I did mention it to the waiter and he immediately fixed it. - Natural and ‘Oliver’ oysters were delicious - ‘Crab Bearnaise’ oysters was a let down and the ‘Atlantic’ had smoked salmon (I wish it was just sashimi) - The ravioli was awful! Worse than packet ravioli!! Honestly could have been packet ravioli that wasn’t cooked properly.

I recently visited the Precinct bar and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the young lady playing guitar really carried the vibe of the place, creating a lively country atmosphere that made the evening enjoyable. The location is fantastic, right at the waterfront, with nice alfresco seating that offers a lovely view of the pool and grassed area. It’s definitely a spot where people gather to enjoy good music and drinks. However, the food left something to be desired. I ordered chicken wings that were significantly overcooked, to the point where the meat wouldn’t separate from the bone. The burger was exceptional, but I had to remove the bacon since it was uncooked. While the staff were extremely friendly, my table was unpleasantly sticky, which detracted from the overall experience. Despite the food issues, I appreciate the good price of the burger & chips at $22, as well as the regular musical entertainment. I would consider returning, but I’ll be more careful in choosing my meal next time. Overall, this pub has huge potential, and with some improvements in the kitchen, it could be a great spot to enjoy a meal and some live music.

Didn't try the food, but had a few drinks during our stop (it was the 4 beer paddle for $20 that sucked the hubby into stopping). The food was a little pricey ($22 for 6 oysters ....). The service was lovely and the outdoor seating was brilliant, covered from the rain and open; although thr table was a little sticky. A couple had their puppy dogs, so it's animal friendly. The interior was a little dark, needs a few more lights. Good range of pokie-machines. The live entertainment was brilliant when she was on - she went for a 15min break and still wasn't back 30mins later when we left. Pity.

Went for dinner on cracker night. Had the mexican chicken parmigiana. When it arrived I asked a staff member that I didn't order the kids palmy. She said it is very small but the only size they have. Chips over cooked and average salad for top price meal. Worst food I have had in Darwin and have lived here for 25 years. The place used to be good. Not anymore. Top prices for no quality.

The calamari was under cooked and soggy. We had 3 people order it on the table and all were not good at all. Don't recommend it. The pepperoni pizza was good that the kids had.

Probably the worst food I’ve tried in Darwin, been here a few years, was invited to an event one time with okay entrees. Thought I’d try dinner. Nope never again. Oysters killpatrick has the worst killpatrick sauce. Japanese style squid salad, what are they even trying to do? Thinly sliced squid with a garden salad and some sauce… terrible idea and zero creativity. Was not a pleasant atmosphere on the palate. Waste of money, put simply don’t bother!

The Thai oysters are pretty good Hower also ordered the seafood plate was very average everything was deepfried to the $ hit house..the deep fry oil must be very old as it was Soo greasy wasn't very enjoyable, a friend with a chicken burger had the same issue just real greasy

We were lured in by the amazing smells coming from the BBQ smoker. People behind the bar were more than happy to help out. We decided to grab a drink while we waited for the food service to start. So glad we waited. Ordered the Sticky beef ribs and Chicken wings and we were not disappointed.

Gorgeous views. Delicious food (I had the king prawns with stir-fried vegetables). A lot of people go there to see the sunset. Definitely need a booking.

Great food & service It's wonderful looking out into the sea while eating. The gardens are very well kept.

The food is really good. If you could separate and only give a review for service, it would be 1 star. If you are expecting any kind of decent service, a hello at the bar, acknowledgement that you exist even. Don't come here. Multiple times over the last year we have been ignored by bar staff. I thought it was a one off. But no. They don't say hello, they don't even ask who is next, they will just stare at you. We organised a birthday dinner reservation and brought a cake. We politely asked if we could put the cake in a fridge, the woman said yes and just walked off. We were let standing there wondering what was going on. In addition, the glasses for the water jugs are kept in an old mouldy fridge thay doesn't work, which is questionably a health and safety issue. Again, great food. Really horrible bar service.

Probably the best venue to view the magnificent Darwin sunsets. The club has a great vibe, the food is good and has plenty of tables. Definitely recommend to book ahead as it is well patronised.

Hubby had been here 26 years ago, I wasn’t excited looking at the exterior but this is a hidden gem! Cosy interior, sat in a little booth with kind lighting. Stapled menu’s. Very busy! Entree: Oysters…presentation was lacking but they were fresh with a pot of very tasty garnish. And oyster forks!! Yay as even oyster bar didn’t provide! Chicken tandoori was very nice. Main: Bug tails with Penang curry sauce…Delicious! And a side of stir fried vegetables with Thai basil and Kafir lime leaves. Very enjoyable and keep it a secret from the tourists 🤣 Highly recommend.

Chill spot, great food, even better cocktails.

This place is a Darwin must visit! The dishes are incredible. Well portioned and incredibly flavoursome. Good range of alcohol also. Rice is not included with some dishes which is a suggestion for the restaurant to consider or larger portions at that price. The decor is eclectic and really adds to the unique charm of the restaurant. Great bar just next door for pre drinks otherwise there is a cocktail bar within which is also great for afters.

This restaurant has super kind, friendly and helpful staff. The interior was a lovely surprise and there are several sections with a different metaphor. Ours gave us plenty of privacy and opportunity to chat and share plates. We were hanging out for greens and fresh veggies and our meals had plenty of those. We ordered a Pinot Grigio from Venezia which proved pleasant drinking. Definitely a place to visit whilst in Darwin.

This place is filled with character! Great food as well. Staff were really nice. We were told the building predates cyclone tracy(which is very impressive) and it shows. Cool live music venue!

This place is amazing, next to the water, amazing staff. Amazing food for vegans & vegetarians and all diets as well. Please go and visit this place if you are vegan or vegetarian as they go out of their way to accomodate you. They made us amazing, delicious and colourful breakfast. The coffee is amazing as well. Cold and old was the buffet breakfast theme this morning. Let's start with what was good.. the pancake machine and tinned peaches. At least I could tell these items were fresh. The rest was borderline depressing for a large hotel chain's breakfast offerings. Is someone reusing last night's dinner for today's breakfast?, because that is the vibe I got. The offerings are just odd and not done well at all. Carrots in the mushrooms Kransky in some strange vegetation mix Uncooked tomatoes 🍅 What looked like last night's dry old noodles. Dumplings undercooked and oily. Not only did these offerings taste sad, they also were cold.. not even at safe food temp which I feel is pretty easy to accomplish. The cold side offered: Dry cracked cheese slices and rubbery ham. Croissants that had become almost stone like. Tinned and some fresh fruit.. the cold side definitely felt safer to eat. The yougurt however was lumpy and watery all at the same time so maybe avoid that. The staff are lovely, perky and attentive, the coffee was great. The restaurant itself is cosy and clean. Only the food felt dirty and not in a good way. So don't throw out the whole kit and caboodle but possibly get a chef that enjoys their job and puts even just the bare minimum in.

We enjoyed the weekend breakfast buffet, with plenty of variety, all well presented and freshly cooked with good turnover of fresh food coming out regularly. The pancake machine was a hit too! Bright interior and vibrant atmosphere, without being loud inside. Friendly staff with prompt service.

Moderately priced, but cheaper then the Precinct which is next door. The portion sizes for the main meals - such as the steaks are decent. The meatballs are delicious and the club sandwich was tasty. Service was good.

Decided to go for a late lunch and was not disappointed. The restaurant was quiet, clean and comfortable. I ordered the Curve Burger and chips and they were delicious. My wife ordered the steak burger and chips which was also delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I had the barramundi while dining at the restaurant. The meal was delicious and the the wait staff were friendly and attentive. The service was quick with the meal being prepared quite promptly. I will be going again when I next visit Darwin

Went in for a late lunch / early dinner so was very quiet, however, this didn't destract from the friendly atmosphere. Food cooked well and tasted good, expensive on the beers, other than that, recommended

Food is sometimes good, sometimes not. Depending on the day, the fish can be prepared and cooked differently. Last time the barramundi was particularly fishy and the fish on the grill was cooked in oil, which gave an unpleasant aftertaste. The calamari were soggy. Too much inconsistency unfortunately :(

Great place to get fish and chips in Darwin. You can pick from several fish options, battering optiong, and french fry styles. They have seating right on the marina too so the atmosphere there is very relaxing and a nice place to eat.

Amazing food, the rustic chips are the best chips ive had in years. Bit slow on the service but we'll worth the wait. Great view of the marina too.

They have a separate gluten free fryer which is fabulous for someone with coeliac like me. Just be sure to double and triple check that they have taken down your order as gluten free, and check again when you pick up your food. Twice they have made some items with gluten, and only spotted their error when I confirmed everything was gluten free before taking away my food. They are however very good at keeping everything separate. Yummy food and lovely staff. They just need to get better at noting down accurately when things need to be made gluten free!

Even though we were the only ones there at the time, we thought they’d made a mistake with our order by giving us the kids’ pack. Not so. We ordered two pieces of mackerel and chips and thought this would be plenty to satisfy two adults. Not so at this place. This is what we got at an extremely expensive price: a very measly serve of chips and two 7.5cm - 8cm long tiny pieces of mackerel that wasn’t even fresh. No joke! We understand they have a business to run but do not know how they can do this to their customers - it’s outright theft. We were ripped off big time. It’s a wonder they didn’t charge us for the salt we put on our small servings of food which was served up in a kid’s cardboard party bowl. How long can they keep this up for before they go under? Not for much longer we hope. They will soon lose customers with their greed as people will go elsewhere - they just won’t go back for crap, with such small serves and at such exorbitant prices. Whatever you do, don’t go there feeling hungry at all as you won’t have any money leftover for your grocery shopping for the week - meaning you get nothing for your money at Frying Nemo so you will have to spend a fortune to satisfy your hunger. One thing is for sure, we will not be returning to Frying Nemo. We will not give them another opportunity to kick us in the head. Trust us, there are plenty of options in Darwin, all with better quality and greater quantity. Hey, you might even find such a place just around the corner!

Our family had a lovely time sitting on the jetty draped with party lights, with a view to the boats and an underwater light to watch the fish swimming. A very relaxed atmosphere, with very friendly service and beautifully cooked seafood and chips. The rustic cut chips were perfect.

I came here expecting good fish and chips, but the food was really disappointing. The panko-battered barramundi was bland and fell apart, the beer-battered barra came out an odd yellow colour and lacked any crispness, and the housemade fish cake was honestly terrible. Nothing had flavour, nothing felt fresh, and overall it was just poorly done. For the prices charged $17.50 for fish, $11.50 for chips, and even $4.80 for sauce the quality simply doesn’t stack up. It’s not just overpriced, it’s bad food. Overall, this place is overrated, bland, and not worth going to. I wouldn’t come back.

One of the best spots in darwin! So many good and beverage choices! Ice cream! Tacos! Seafood! Its got it all. There is a dedicated fishing area also. Carpark can get full quickly, i recommended walking there if possible, taxis do frequent the car park also

The Wharf is 3 star but the Flying Doctor museum is 5 stars. Harbour cruises leave from the Wharf or just sit and eat from the food stores and watch the sea. The Flying Doctor museum was the best with their interactive displays

We spent a few hours here doing the RFDS museum, its Hologram shows, aircraft, and VR experience of the bombing of Darwin. We then took a harbour cruise re the bombing which was fabulous and finished with lunch. We really enjoyed our time here with great staff across all businesses.

We had a gaze and graze cruise that left from Stokes Hill Wharf. It was amazing but we should have also visited one of the many eateries on the wharf. Just not enough time.

This is a lovely walk coming from the convention center or waterfront precinct. Once you get there (hop on and off bus takes you there too) there are several eateries, locals fishing, Royal Flying Doctor service and more. Overlooking the water is a beautiful sight to see! Cruise ships come in and out of here as well.

It's a nice place to visit with friends or family in the afternoon. You can see sunset. You can fishing too. There are some food stalls. They sell Asian food, Mexican food, seafood and west food. You can learn about the bombing of Darwin in here.

Royal Flying Doctor and bombing of Darwin Harbour Outstanding audio visuals, excellent information - truly engaging and immersion. Highly recommended.

On Saturday afternoon, we visited Rendezvous Café. It wasn’t too busy, and we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were very friendly. The café has a pleasant atmosphere and is kept clean and tidy. The service was impressively quick. I highly recommend trying the satay chicken with peanut sauce—it was absolutely delicious. The special fried rice and the combination dishes were also excellent. However, the seafood egg noodles were a bit too salty for my taste, and the seafood quality didn’t meet my expectations. Many people rave about their laksa. While I’m not a fan of laksa myself, it might be worth a try if you enjoy it. Overall, it was a good experience!

We were staying at the Hilton Darwin for one night and chose this restaurant for proximity to hotel and previous reviews. We were not disappointed. Lovely staff and fantastic food. It's BYOB but they told us that when we phoned to book so bought a bottle of wine to take with us. We'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

My partner lived in Darwin over 10 years ago and used to visit this restaurant all the time for the Laksa, at its old location. She wanted to bring me here for dinner and to enjoy the Laksa again. I had chicken and beef Laksa and it was phenomenal. Flavours were fantastic and the beef was so tender and basically melted in your mouth. Only in Darwin for a week but going to be stopping back in here for sure.

I celebrated my birthday there and another amazing experience! lovely and excellent staff Wendy and Masa! exceeded our expectations! thank you for the surprise dessert given by Gloria(owner) for free. Highly recommended! We will come back again as the food is very scrumptious! thank u again!

I ordered the won ton soup with extra won tons. When it came it had 4 won tons in it. I asked if they forgot the extra won tons- I get 5 won tons and an extra 5 at another place, which I prefer but they happened to be closed that evening. No you got your extra won tons was the reply- so I then clarified- so your WON TON SOUP only has 2 won tons? Yes was the reply!!! Absolutely embarrassed for them and won’t go again!!!!

We had our dinner here yesterday and it was great!!! It exceeded our expectation!!! Delicious meal!!! Wendy is very professional and polite. We had Masa who assisted us as well and was very helpful. We will come back here again!!!! Superb!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely amazing goat curry! It’s been a while since I’ve had a goat curry that melts in my mouth. It wasn’t too spicy either (just the way I prefer). Lovely service too

We had an extremely disappointing dinner experience. The chicken in the sizzler was undercooked (photo attached). Mistakes can happen, but the staff insisted it wasn’t raw even after we showed the visibly pink, uncooked section. The rest of the food chatpate and momo was quite average as well. Overall, our short transit in Darwin ended on a disappointing note and a trip to Maccas after spending $90+ here.

We had an amazing experience dinning at this restaurant. Food was great. Staff seemed very helpful and professional. Price was reasonable. I have been eating in many restaurants but I find this one very special. We had a booking for 10 but we ended up being 16, the staff accommodated all of us. We tried various items from the menu. Jhol Momo had authentic Nepali taste, and momo was juicy. Jhol of momo was average but really enjoyed it. Pani puri was mouthwatering, all of us enjoyed it a lot. Samos chat was perfect, decent size and reasonable price. Fish was amazing with noodles. Chicken Choila seemed very traditional and had the amazing flavours. Fried and steam momo were amazing too. All of us enjoyed every item that we ordered. The place has enough parkings and has vegetarian options as well. I really enjoyed the matka tea at the end. Thank you team for awesome food and amazing memories. Will definitely be back next time…👌👌👌👌😊😊

I ordered the Pani Puri enjoyable entree — an explosion of delicious fresh flavours. The vegan momos were nice would be good if they had a vegan sauce to go with. Keen to try the other vegan menu items. Friendly service and nice atmosphere.

For a small place it's got a lot on the menu. I had the goat curry which had good flavour but not enough meat on the bones. It was too fiddly and I didn't enjoy eating it. The momos with dipping sauce were great and the burgers were tremendous. I'll be Back to try other things on the menu for sure.

Been coming to Darwin for years during winter and Darwin festival. The one and only consistent place to eat and have a great coffee is Rays! Perfect Mushroom stack with Poached eggs. Perfectly soft organic sourdough even after lightly toasted! ❣️❣️❣️

Okay I think I just went to the best cafe I’ve ever experienced.. this never happens. After travelling Australia and doing loads of reviews at cafes Ray Cafe & Patisserie now sits at top spot. The staff were so inviting and helpful, and my croissant melted in my mouth. The good vibes inside plus the yum cap just finished it all off. Thanks crew!

Visiting as a family of four, with our just turned 3 year old. I went to order our breakfast and the lady stated she would not accomodate with making scrambled eggs for my child but instead I could buy a full adults scrambled egg meal. We left and took our business elsewhere. Was not impressed. We ended up at perk and palate which was very accommodating and had fantastic food, service and atmosphere.

Food was nice, but the prices online do not match the in-house menu. Seafood platter not available. We paid $5 for a can of coke! The waiter didn’t make eye contact - like they didn’t want to take our order. the place was very noisy (needs some type of flooring to absorb sounds) and lighting was poor.

We visited this restaurant 4 years ago in the old location, the new venue is great. We enjoyed Tzatziki, grilled octopus, grilled pork ribs and fries with Feta, a delicious meal washed down with a lovely glass of wine.

Completely and totally sensational. From the initial greeting as we walked in, to being served, it was clear this is the product of family passion. The food was jaw dropping and belly filling. We had bugs, octopus, and ordered the "filla" which they were out of, the staff were extremely apologetic and offered an alternative which was amazing.

I had multiple friends recommend Meraki, so I was really excited to try it. The food was definitely yummy, and I’d jumped on Google reviews beforehand and was mega pumped for the seafood platter — but sadly it’s no longer on the menu. We ordered the meat grill for 2, and while the meat was beautifully cooked, it felt like it really needed balance. One tiny dollop of tzatziki with all that meat just wasn’t enough — more dips and a proper salad would make a world of difference. Personally, I’d drop the pork and add a fresh salad instead. Still enjoyed it overall, but left feeling way too full and heavy. Next time, I’d go for the seafood or order extra salad on the side.

Absolutely amazing Greek food, fantastic wine list, great service wow wow wow. I never thought I’d find the best Greek food of my life in Darwin in this classy restaurant with so many vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

Disappointing. Staff were completely ineffective. Ordered our meal and the waitress repeated it to me twice, yet, the order was wrong. Dips were unauthentic and unpleasant. Ordered the skordalia, Tarama and eggplant dip. I ordered the scallop saganaki- I specifically asked for this to come out with mains- yet it came with the dips. Teeny weeny scallops in a less than average sauce- outrageously expensive for what it was. I do not recommend. Ordered the meat plate for 2. Greasy, fatty meat that all tasted the same. We ordered a bottle of white wine, To be followed by a bottle of red wine. The waiter bought a glass of the incorrect white wine and poured the red wine before we wanted it. Got charged for the random glassing white wine we didn’t order, on top of the bottle that we finally received. Also ordered a bottle of sparkling water that we never received, yet were charged for. Unimpressed

I went here last night to celebrate my 20th birthday with friends - what an experience! The service was amazing, I think his name was Leonard? He was very attentive to our table, refilling our glasses when empty and checking up on our meals. The food was absolutely delicious. The Taste of the Territory platter was just so flavourful. I would definitely order it again! If you don't know what to order from the menu, the platter has a little bit of everything, so it was really convenient for someone as indecisive as I am. Definitely would return for a quieter date night though as the ambience in the restaurant suited it more than a group celebration I feel? The terrace outside would've been better but the weather's just too hot to properly enjoy it. Bottom line is I'm definitely coming back!

An amazing night out, staff so friendly and welcoming. Gin flight was a great way to taste a selection of gins, food was fantastic we had the share platter which was a delight to the plalet with a selection of flavours.

The vibe here is amazing! My husband and I had a fantastic birthday dinner, and the salmon ceviche was incredibly fresh—highly recommend it. The staff were super friendly, making our evening even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back next time to try kangaroo and crocodile!

One of the best restaurants in Darwin. Delicious food and great choice of gins, wine and beer. Indoors or outdoors, this place is awesome and the staff are polite, attentive and happy to advise on what to chose from the menu. The lamb ribs were outstanding.

Had a fantastic experience at Charlie's Bar. Went there for a Gin Masterclass - Christian is a wonderful host, so welcoming and knowledgeable about all things gin. Got to taste different botanicals and make my own bottle to take home! Highly recommend!

Laksa House has a comfortably rustic charm about it, which reminded me of outdoor dining in Asia. Amye's laksa was incredibly tasty, with a real depth of flavour. The meat was juicy and tender. If I have any room left, I would have ordered some of her fried chicken, which I was assured by a fellow diner, is delicious.

Such an awesome place! Menu is simple tonight was chicken Laksa and it is one of the best I've had. Forgot to take a pic of the Laksa but if you like chilli oil give hers a go it beautifully rich, flavourful and caramelized, it's so sexy!! There's casual seating inside and outside under the open roof area.

Decided to try it tonight 6/9/24. Only 2 things were on offer Laksa or charcoal chicken so we had one of each. There's no service so to speak, you find a seat, order at the counter, pick up and pay. There are no drinks available to purchase not even water, at least we couldn't get any. The Laksa looked good and was plentiful but taste wise was just ok. The charcoal chicken was a quarter breast/wing and was ok, expected tastier. 50$ for both. Had better at the Mindil markets.

Amye’s Laksa has to be one of the best I’ve had! Great flavours, very fresh and love the atmosphere of her little restaurant, very authentic. Highly recommend! We ordered takeaway and enjoyed our laksas on the beach at sunset.

Its shit food, I never ever tested this types of worst laksa ever. Add some spicyness and lemon inside. Its very sweet 🤮. Its goes wrong with stomach pain. I had food poisoning. Never recommend. ❌

All different types of laksa here are delicious, with abundant toppings, including meat. The chilli sauce is fantastic. They also have grilled skewers on Friday and Saturday (the date is not sure, need to call to confirm). The people who work there are friendly and provide great services. However, the dining service is not so good. There aren’t enough tables, and the tables are not really stable.

Good pizza but waiting time is way too long. Waited for an hour and missed the sunset as the result. Owner is rude when asked about the waiting time. Pizza size is only as big as the paper plate and too expensive.

Simple food, gorgeous outdoor ambience. Quality ingredients prepared well. The pizza is consistently fresh and delicious, and dessert (usually a variety of flavoured panna cotta) is a winner too. Come early to get a table, or byo picnic blanket and chairs.

Went last night as recommended for a friend. The food was really tasty, and for an amazing price !! We got the beef oyster sauce with rice, and the soy chicken with rice noodles, we think one of the best ones in town! Also the staff/chef is really friendly! You definitely need to try his food!

Food is good value for the buffet price. Some dishes were really great, others not so. Service was average. Had to ask twice to order wine and then they brought over the wrong one. Hard to find napkins at times. The sunset over the beach was the best part of the atmosphere.

3.5 overall for the atmosphere. What's not to like about an ocean view. Food was good but I'm not big on buffet style. Table service was okay but we had to keep trying to get the attention of the staff as they seemed to ignore without making it obvious. The pariots were being noisy as well.

Overall nice, we showed up with only an hour left (we didn’t realise this until we got there), and so it felt like a rush to eat our dinners worth (completely our fault not the restaurants), but most foods were replenished which was great, but not all. Food was good, not fresh, but for the price and buffet style you can’t expect it to all be fresh. Only downside was that every time we left the table staff went and collected anything they thought was dirty or unusable. So we had to remember to keep getting more napkins and cutlery which just felt a little wasteful and a little rushed. Overall a good dinner! And we are still glad we went :)

The buffet offers a nice variety, and for the price, it's quite satisfactory. There's a good mix of seafood, Asian, and Western dishes. Plus, the view of the sunset over the water is truly lovely.

Nice Irish Pub on Mitchell street. Lots of TVs, they even played my NFL (American Football) game for me at 10am which was very nice. I ate 2x there during my week’s stay in Darwin, Sunday Roast and Chicken Tenders - both were good. Every Sunday roast is different from country to country as are chicken tenders but I was happy with both. Staff is friendly and accommodating!

Fun! I went on a friday night, It was sooo crowded, live music and good vibes. The food and drinks are good and quite cheap, would recommend the visit! Also it was very fast service which I appreciated for the amount of people that was there 🫶🏻

I only popped in for lunch and a couple of beers during the week but seems good, plenty of choice on tap and usual menu for an irish pub, ive only walked past at night but gets pretty busy and loud then... as you'd expect 🤣 if i came back to Darwin I'd go again 👍

Great, lively home away from home. The bangers and mash are lush, the Guinness never rushed. We grabbed an Uber from the casino resort and had a great evening.

Stumbled upon Shenannigans on a Tuesday night which is Trivia & $teak night. Food was brought out quickly, despite it being quite busy and was decent enough. The trivia was fun and we won a $75 voucher! We used this for breakfast the next morning which was great. There was also 2 different live singers who were both great. All in all, a great night out in Darwin. I highly recommend.

This pub is a great place for a casual drink or meal. The live entertainment is top notch. So good that we went back twice more during our week stay in Darwin.

Just great for location and to get buses to anywhere. Awesome bands every night and lots of food specials. Steak night was so good. Our room was very dark needed more light as no windows but we only slept in it so ok as couldn't here any news from the bar in room 125. All the staff were lovely in the bar restaurant and reception.

Great feed and great environment, price to portion is bad $59 dollars and I only get that much food handful of tiny cut chips with salad?? Steak was great tho cook to my liking and service was fast and servers was friendly. Only issue is the price to portion.

Me and a friend stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. We first had a room in the back of the building with no real windows, which is what we booked but we still asked if we could be put into a room with a window. They were really friendly and said they will see what they can do and sure enough next day we were upgraded. The cleaning staff was lovely and very friendly as well as the reception. They had live music almost every night but that wasn’t annoying. The Cavenagh also offers a kitchen with literally anything you would need. The pub was very popular with the locals and tourists. Pool area was clean and nice too. Overall a great stay. Central to everything in Darwin and good quality.

Ended up here unexpectedly but lived it. I was in the 6-bed female dorm. Very high standard. Big room, hotel amenities and also large fridges available. Bring ear plugs and eye mask as the fans run all night and it’s kinda light inside. The location of the hotel and the pool were highlights for me. It IS noisy though. There’s a big tour booking space too.

We haven't been for a while. The steaks are still very good and cooked as we ordered it. For a 105$ dollar steak (850g ribeye) at this price point you would expect a proper jus not a KFC style gray and salddressing house made.

I'm an Asian young girl traveling alone and staying at this hotel. The hotel itself is great, but I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. The food is good, but while you're sitting there quietly eating by yourself, some creepy, drunk older white men may suddenly come over and try to lecture you or tell you what to do. It's a case of double discrimination—both gender and race. They expect you to be like a sweet little cake, easy to manipulate, even when you're just sitting there minding your own business and not bothering anyone. It's really embarrassing because all the Indigenous people I've met here have been friendly.

I used to be regular here but nowadays they don’t allow you to stay outside after 11, basically depends on the mood of the security guy. Sometimes they allow with a minimal noise which is absolutely understandable but 1 security doesn’t. Please do update this in the website saying we are not allowed to drink outside. I just wanted some peace and couples beers after a long day shift. Definitely not gonna be my everyday again.

Rate: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My friend and I visited Boatshed for the first time and were seriously impressed! We had the Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale — both were absolutely delicious. The soft brioche was a standout and paired perfectly with everything. Coffee was spot-on, and the waterside seating with views of the boatyard made the experience even better. Toilets were clean too. Only downside was the long queue to order — took over 20 minutes and made the hallway a bit cramped. But surprisingly, our food and drinks came out within 5–10 minutes, and the staff were fantastic. You can bring your pet. Overall, 5/5. Will definitely be back! Suggestion: Add QR code ordering to speed things up and ease the congestion.

Breakfast was on our menu today. We ordered Bonnie Stack. Very nice. We loved the big coffee cups, so if coffee is your go-to, order one. They have a bin near the door with bread for feeding the fish near the jetty.

Beautiful day on the boardwalk, friendly customer service on ordering, very quick service of coffee and cake. Not the nicest coffee and the cake was stodgy and unpleasant. I ve visited before and will have food here again, hopefully was just a good day.

Looking for a place where I could have some seafood and a steak, I came out at this place. Not the best steak and seafood I ever had, buy that is fine for a price of $49. I had a great time with nice seafood and lots of steaks. If they are coming straight from the grill, they are the best. Also different side dishes and desserts are offered. In total a good experience. Only the staff behind the counter could be more friendly, the cooks where super friendly though!

We booked an outside table for two before arriving in Darwin, having checked out the website. A good choice for a lovely evening. The food standard and variety was good and was replenished regularly. Wine prices were reasonable and a good though small selection. Many families enjoying a good night out. The 10% discount for seniors was appreciated. Staff are pleasant and continually cleared tables of used dishes. We will be back again next time in Darwin. Favourite offering (other than oysters and prawns)? The BBQ duck! Recommended.

Seriously, ate at Jetty today and was unhappy with desserts. I can buy jelly box in woolies for $2 and make heaps of jelly cups. Pls improve on your desserts options.

I tried the other seafood all you can eat place it was good also. But this one is better. I cannot tell the difference of the oyster and shrimps, but the hot food taste better, especially the steak. And today they even have chilli mud crab and crispy pork. The outdoor overhanging sitting area directly on water is nicer too. A place I would love to come back.

We booked a table at this venue two months before arriving at Darwin and whilst the dining and menu options at the buffet were good there wasn't a very wide selection. The oysters were good, the prawns ok, and the rest was OK however the disappointment was the fish bites as they were only fish fingers. The staff were great.

Was pleasantly surprised after reading mixed reviews. The food was tasty and seemed fresh. At $50, I think it's good value for money and in a great location on the water offering inside and out seating. Next time, I would sit out as my clothes were saturated by food smells sitting inside. Also, be aware they close relatively early, so unless you eat super fast, go a bit earlier. I would aim for 6 pm next time

We had the buffet dinner and let me tell you it was disappointing. Firstly, there was no aircon or fans and the line/ wait to get in was ridiculous, service was sooooo slow. Imagine, sweat dripping from every where, you line up with about 50 others that don’t know what deodorant is and select what you want to eat. On top of that, the food was terrible, hot food was cold and vise versa, flys were abundant and no-one seemed to care. Apart from the food being really bad, they need to separate the buffet sections so that is if you want seafood, you go to the seafood section, you want steak, you go to the steak section etc. The way it is, you line up with about 50 people no matter what ya want and it takes forever. The saving grace is the view and the drinks which were great. Photos of the drinks attached.

The Rabbithole is a comfortable cafe in Darwin CBD under the Paspalis building. Indoor and outdoor seating. Pleasant and welcoming staff. I had a flat white and the Korean Toast. Coffee was good and the toast was interesting, but ultimately not my favourite to no fault of the cafe. Will definitely come back and try other menu items.

I had a black sticky rice. Its a best choice ever!! I love it! Make me wanna eat more! I love the environment.Please shout out to Antonio and all staff did a good jobs! We feel welcome and enjoy our time in Rabbit Hole. Will come back soon.

Coffee here was great. We ordered double shots in our flat whites, pleasant flavours & nicely presented. Only problem was when delivered was spilled in saucer & forgot to replace saucer. My order for breakfast was the Korean toast. Something different for breakfast. Brioche with fluffy omelette & veg.

Ordered the Big Rabbit, which consisted of well cooked eggs and great sourdough bread with assorted greens and guacamole. The bacon was average and small in portion. Very expensive at 34 dollars on a Sunday. The staff were friendly however there is 0 table service which is crazy considering the price. Overall 3.5, would come again if the price reflected the food and service.

Food is amazing. Staff just ok. Restaurant looks neat. They have a dish they bring the food on a hot board still being cooked and Smokey. I couldn’t breathe as I have asthma. I had to leave. Maybe I ll come back during dry season when it’s cool I can sit outside.

If you visit here, you should try their Signature Noodle. But I recommend eating that with another meal such as Fried rice since it gets a little bit salty after eating for a few bites! Very Nice Atmosphere.

Although this restaurant is called "Noodle House," it serves a wide variety of Asian dishes, and the menu offers many options. The mud crab has so many flavor options that it is hard to choose one. The mud crab is very fresh and tasty. The staff not only provided crab crackers but also thoughtfully offered gloves and aprons, so you can fully enjoy the delicious crabs without worrying about splashing sauce on your clothes. When the crab was brought to the table, its appearance, aroma, and flavor were all outstanding, even attracting a nearby diner who asked if she could take a picture. She ended up snapping several photos of the crab. It was an excellent dining experience.

6 of us went for dinner dine in, place was quite at that moment although it was a Friday evening. Ordered several dishes as we wanted to try their options. Unfortunately, the waiter heard Garlic prawns instead of Garlic oysters. Asked about the oysters and he replied you ordered garlic prawns. The dinner looked like Prawns party but we are still happy as the food was great. It would have been better if they could have noted the order correctly as it left us a bad taste.

We loved our lunch and thought it was reasonably priced. Our bugs were delicious and so was our seafood fried rice. Staff were lovely.

Update: I've removed some stars because the most recent time that I visited Noodle House left me not wanting to come back ever again. We waited exactly 35mins at our table and not a single waiter/waitress took our order, they didnt even walk past us or make eye contact. We had reserved a table, and there were about 6 tables around us with people frustrated that their orders weren't being taken either. We sat at the tables outside - it appears to me that the indoor customers are highly prioritised, and the out-door folk get treated less-than. I have been noticing this practice getting worse over the years. We tried to get the attention of a waitstaff but they were just far too busy to even notice, yet they continued seating more people...only to not take their orders. I dont understand why they continued seating people if they couldn't even look after the current customers that were waiting for over half an hour. I stood up and returned the menu's inside after failing to get anyones attention, and walked out with my family to another restaurant down the road. The service has become so poor lately. The food is amazing, but far too overpriced; each year the food gets more and more expensive. Absolutely ridiculous for less-than average portions. Will not be returning again. This place has become an absolute joke. Again, to reiterate, it wasnt just my table that was waiting for over 30 minutes, the tables around us had been there much longer and still had their menus in their hands waiting for someone to take their order. Ps: these photos were taken over the course of a few years when I used to visit more frequently - back when someone actually took our order within minuites of us being seated.

Lovely staff and location. Highly recommend the slow cooked pork bao buns. The seafood paella was very flavourful, the crispy barramundi fell short with it being quite a bland dish. Wouldn't deter me going back though.

Pleasantly surprised! Stumbled upon Snapper Rocks while strolling at Darwin Waterfront on a Saturday evening. Decided to give it a go because we spotted the fish wings on the menu. We were quickly shown to a bar table, service was fast and friendly. The the fish wings, snapper in beetle leaves and papaya salad were all delicious. Nice Asian flavours and just enough chilli kick. Nice cold glass of SA to go with it. Highly recommend, it’s rare to find quality food in high tourist areas.

We had a later booking on a Saturday night but we were received with a warm welcoming smile & never made to feel that we should rush before the kitchen closed. Snapper Rocks has become a firm favourite of our circle of friends for its fresh delicious flavours & great service & tonight was no exception. Simone, the floor manager is flamboyant & passionate about great food & great service & when there was a slight issue with our order, he rectified the situation quickly and kindly offered us a complimentary beverage for the inconvenience. We are working our way through trying all the small plates each visit because it’s fun to do. The bugs were sweet fleshy buttery garlicky delights, the betel leaf wrap up morsels of cerviche snapper limey peanutty & heavenly & the sticky beef salad just so refreshing. This is all we had time for but we will be back. Congratulations Snapper Rocks. You certainly deserve your awards.

Waitress was rude when all we tried to do was get water for the table. We tried to let her know that three out of the six glasses had lipstick stains and we would like new glasses, but she quickly walked away when we were in the middle of asking 🙃. Drinks wait time took roughly 10-15 minutes, which is alright considering it was a Saturday lunch time and the waterfront was packed due to DAAF. The French waiter was nice and polite. He ended up serving us for the rest of the duration. He was attentive and made sure we had drinks. FYI it’s table service only, so you can’t order at the bar. Food wait time was roughly 30 minutes - not too long. We ordered the jackfruit bao bun - it was mediocre and could use with some more seasoning. Grilled chicken with cous cous - absolutely delicious, I would definitely order again. Lemongrass chicken skewers - dry and needed salt. It was alright once you squeezed lime on it. Fish (snapper) and chips - very nice and the sauce was full of flavour. Oysters - beautiful 👌🏾.

Delicious fresh food, quality wine list, excellent friendly service, great indoor and outdoor seating options. We keep returning for the small plates, especially the seafood options. The bugs, prawns, snapper ceviche, squid, crocodile... All are beautifully presented and super tasty. The bao buns are also excellent. Highly recommend.

Wow, what a fantastic place and so busy! Amazed at the staff and food especially considering how crazy busy it it there. Beautiful location, comfortable seating even outdoors with fans and cool mist running. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Darwin!

Very nice place with friendly staff and excellent food. We had a selection of small dishes and the charcuterie board. The crocodile was exceptional. Good selection of draft beers and tasty cocktails. Nicely situated at the Darwin water front.

Not impressed. Very generic decor and atmosphere. Horrible "pop" music mix. Decent but forgettable beers. Very unenthusiastic staff. Very pricey beer paddle. Overall OK to visit but I don't think I will be back. In my book they are a below average brewery and an average pub.

Not a bad place, first night I ordered the chicken fingers, and second night I ordered the Calamari. The chicken fingers were average and the calamari was very soft and soggy. Most restaurants serve calamari crispy. Not huge complaints here just my preference. The staff is incredibly nice. I’m surprised this place doesn’t draw more of a crowd.

We visited this bar a couple of times during our recent stay in Darwin and it was not bad. A varied selection of beers, with a happy hour reducing the schooners and house wine to $6, good value. The ambiance is very laid back but the music is way too loud. The staff were cheerful enough but lacked real enthusiasm. Good enough bar for a beer or two.

The beers, good and perfect. Happy our also nice to have a couple of cheap beers as a budget traveler. But we ordered chicken tenders and we just got 3 pieces!!!! A bit of coleslaw and some aioli….. we got compromised with a large beer and the tenders!

Ignored by server behind bar... She literally saw us, finished serving customer and walked away! Eventually came back after about 5 mins. Beer was nice and cider. Hardly anyone in(5pm happy hour time). Shenanigans next door was busy so we had 2nd drink there! Was told no food available till later. Just wanted a bar snack.

Great service, nice atmosphere, and a great range of beers… would definitely recommend coming here for a few drinks and chill.. the food however was very disappointing, especially for the prices charged. $17 nachoes without protein served in a very small bowl. Seafood marinara ($28, not pictured) with 3 squid rings, and a couple of prawns and mussels.. no fresh herbs or anything) Long story short, come for the beers!!

We're in Darwin CBD here on a cruise ship with a quick stop in Darwin, we're a long way from home in Melbourne! Got a recommendation from a local to check out Six Tanks Brew Pub as we love a brewery, the atmosphere is simply amazing, the decor is on point and they play decent music inside the bar area. They have 26 beers available on tap, with one through six being their own beer brewed in house. Unfortunately out of 26 beers on tap, there was no dark beer options, and the two Victorian beers on tap are mainstream stuff from CUB, it would be nice for the two Victorian options to be from our prominent craft/microbreweries rather than the foreign owned corporate monster that's CUB. The food was great, however by the time we got our food most of it was cold as the timing was a bit off how they prepared our share plates, but it's no big deal, this would be a five star venue with just a few small changes on how they serve their meals and a bit more variety in the beers - a couple dark beer options would be great and get rid of CUB for the Victorian representation in exchange for some of our fantastic microbrewery options we have down south. Certainly worth a visit if you find yourself in Darwin CBD, great venue.

The food at Alfonsino's is absolutely delicious! We couldn't fault any dish, and we went twice to try more from the menu. The manager/front of house man is so efficient. It has limited tables so make sure you book. Booking online is easy. Kids' meals are available and juat as tasty as the main menu. Highly recommended.

We arrived without a reservation and were kindly offered the last table available, just outside the kitchen. While the seating was a little hard (seat pads would be a thoughtful touch for this spot), I really appreciated that the team made space for us and apologized for the size of the table – thank you for the warm welcome 🙏🏻. For entrees, we had the seafood gratin which was delicious. A small suggestion would be to serve it with a little dressing on the salad and a wedge of lemon for the seafood – it would have really lifted the dish. Next came the Pizza Peppeniello, which was absolutely outstanding – one of the best pizza bases and overall pizzas I’ve ever had, even compared to those I’ve tried in Naples, Italy! Truly impressive, bravo 👏. We also enjoyed the spaghetti carbonara, which was expertly made and beautifully balanced. Overall, Alfonsino’s delivers excellent Italian cuisine with authentic flavors and a real passion for their food. With a few minor tweaks, it would easily be a perfect experience. Highly recommended if you’re in Darwin and craving real Italian!

Go there for the pizzas ! The dough is particularly delicious. Pastas are average. Shame that you cannot enjoy a S.Pellegrino sparkling water in an Italian restaurant, despite you find them in the supermarket. You better eat your pizza with your hands as the knives don’t even cut butter. Terrace is quiet and cosy at dusk. The tiramisu is ok, pistachio panna cotta is good. 4 stars still thanks to the excellent quality of the pizzas (prosciutto cotto e funghi).

Lovely outdoor dining. The food was outstanding. We had the linguine Alfredo and garlic cheese pizza. Finished with a pistachio cheesecake and vanilla Panna cotta for dessert. Jackie our waitress for the night was just lovely. Would highly recommend.

Great place we held My mum's 80th birthday managed to do a little bit of decorations. Very busy place make sure you know what you want at your party. Thanks Alfonsino was a great little get together. Checkout their menu x

Excellent - the food here is top shelf. The best quality Italian restaurant, and the service is great. Waitress was very helpful and remembered our preferences from the previous night.

Great food with an amazing view. The burger was cooked perfectly and came with some delicious chips. If you’re in this area, I highly recommend you stop by here. They also have some pretty amazing views of the sunset here and there is a walking pack that leads along the cliffs overlooking the ocean.

We were delighted to find this cafe restaurant at the end of our walk along from Nightcliff Beach. The service and the food were really good but it is the atmosphere which does it. Lovely views and an ideal place just to sit have coffee and breakfast. Hard to find anything better at the end of a walk.

Beautiful food, location and service. Really enjoyed the "volume appropriate" live music. Ordered the Barramundi, which was fabulous. Only disappointment was the fish is advertised as having a pine nut and currant salad but it is really just a light garnish at best. Very tasty but the fish would have benefitted from more of it. Loved watching the sunset too.

Perfect place to eat good food and enjoy the stunning sunset. Enjoyed our relaxed meal here and took lots of sunset photos.

Great varied menu with an awesome spot overlooking the sea. The service was friendly and the food tasty - with very generous serving sizes. Blueberry may have was more blueberry than matcha! But tasty nonetheless, as were the frappes. Great spot in darwin.

Foreshore Café in Nightcliff is a lovely spot with a beautiful beach view. The space is comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. It’s always busy, especially on weekends, but the staff are friendly and the food is delicious. We really enjoy spending time there!

The place was humming for a Sunday and I was surprised how fast the food came out and drinks. I can't fault the service or food. The view is so relaxing

Ordered a bagel with cream cheese for $12. When I arrived at the beach to enjoy my bagel, i found this in the container (picture attached) I thought that's a bad joke, can't believe it!!! Put a little effort in guys, this is ridiculous, very poor! Terrible hospitality! Not to mention it took them 15 min to throw this in the container, coming to me while waiting and asking what I had ordered again.

Best scrambled eggs I’ve had! They came with that wok hei aroma, truly sedap! But at AUD 20, it’s extremely pricey. The café also serves pastries and cakes alongside cooked food. The chocolate croissant was flaky and delicious, but the coffee (latte and flat white) was just average. I didn’t ask about extra charges for card payments, but since most cafés here add a surcharge, I decided to pay with cash instead.

Absolutely terrible experience. We were overcharged by more than $30, and when we checked the bill, it made no sense at all. The food itself was inedible — everything was either burnt, overcooked, or literally dripping in oil. Nothing tasted fresh. When I got a take away container the oil leaked through the cardboard box onto my shorts during the drive home (ruining them), soaked through 5 pieces of paper towel and made oil puddles on my kitchen bench! I felt sick and sat by the toilet for 20 mins incase I threw up and my sister threw up once she got home. When I called to politely bring this up, the staff were shockingly rude. No apology, no attempt to make it right — they actually hung up on me. I’ve never dealt with such unprofessional behavior from a restaurant. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.

Service is very disappointing, we just arrived and sit on chairs and one server came to us want to take a order immediately , after we said we need more time, and than in few minutes later she came again ask to take order again. While she took our order, we ask for her to wipe the table as sticky spots on table and she doesn’t respond to me so I said it again she just look askance at me and nod her head very slightly to me. very rude!!! We order an ice tea and it tastes watered down, and latte tastes like I can make exactly same flavor at home. All of these made us change our mind to have a lunch there.

I was really looking forward to this meal, but I was a little let down by the overall experience. The laksa fritters wasn’t a good choice.

I placed an order for my husband's birthday cake well in advance, only to find out on the day of pickup that the staff had completely forgotten to pass the order form to the kitchen. It had been left sitting between some files — absolutely unacceptable. How can a business take an order and then fail to deliver it because of such negligence? Imagine if this had been a wedding or another major event — the consequences could have been far worse. This level of disorganisation and lack of accountability is beyond disappointing. It makes me question how this place is even being run. Perhaps the staff are overworked and underpaid, or maybe there’s simply no training or communication in place. Either way, all we received after the chaos was an insincere apology that felt anything but genuine. Thanks to Sweet Brew, my husband’s birthday was ruined. I truly hope this serves as a wake-up call for the business — or that it seriously reevaluates its operations. If not, it’s only a matter of time before more people have experiences like this.

This cafe has established itself as one of the most popular breakfast venues in Darwin, with its great selection for breakfast/brunch/lunch menu. In addition they bake their own delicious breads and pastries on premises, if you’re lucky you might see a stall around the local weekend markets. This versatile venue also cater for evening and weekend functions. Can get very busy on the weekends if you dine-in but takeaway coffee and pastries is quick and easy. Chilli scrambled eggs is my favourite very filling, full of flavours and satisfying. Friendly staff, good customer service and great coffee. The juices of the day is a great alternative, if you don’t drink coffee. You could easily compare it to a trendy Melbourne cafe.

Venue with the deck is fantastic, the view is great. Steak tasting plate was a bit underwhelming for the price, $100 for 2x 100g of steaks (on the small side) The flavour was ok but nothing to rave about. Partner said her seafood was ok but again not unique or exciting for the price. Cocktail were nice

If you are craving for steaks this is the place to be. Their grain fed steaks cooked to perfection are melt in the mouth tender. I had a very generous entre size wagu ragu with home made pasata that I devoured with gusto. The aoili that came with fries was a garlicky delight. I also recommend the chocolate mouse for dessert. And service like food served was impeccable.

This is the type of restaurant where there is no salt, or pepper on the table. Where you can describe a wine and they make the perfect recommendation. The service is friendly and very good. The food is exquisite. The person who pours the wine has pride enough to change your glass because of an invisible watermark. They take pride in what they offer and how they serve it. Expensive but well worth the price.

The BEST food I’ve ever had in Darwin, if not ever. Don’t know how it’s taken me 20 years of living in Darwin to come here but so glad I finally did. We ordered the truffle arancini, wagyu rump steak, mushroom risotto, chips, cornbread, strawberry fields dessert and banoffee pie. I was very full but did not want anything to end. Everything was cooked to perfection and filled with flavour. The sauces were particularly delectable. The risotto was to die for! Almost didn’t end up ordering dessert but so glad we did. The banoffee pie was phenomenal. Literally the most delicious dessert I’ve ever had. So many different flavours that complimented each other so well. Do not leave without getting it. 10/10 all round, worth the visit and the cost. Service was lovely and setting was beautiful. A great restaurant in the Darwin food scene.

Visited in Dec 2022 I would have given this place 5 stars if not for the price of the meal. The food is good and service was pretty decent too with the waitresses being polite & helpful. I ordered the Steak tartare for entree ($30) and the Steak Tasting Board ($90). Sauces cost extra. The steak doneness was as per my request and the meal was very filling. The restaurant ambience is quite good too. I just felt that the meal was a bit overpriced. I’ve been to better steakhouses where I have paid less. Also during my stay at Darwin, I visited a couple of other fine-dining-ish restaurants where I felt the food quality & price being aligned. I’d recommend this place to people visiting Darwin but would probably advice them to order a non-steak main course.

Food was divine - we had the wagyu rump and pork belly. Corn rolls for entrees was perfect and freshly baked. The crayfish was a little overpriced for the quality - meat was a little mushy in parts, but we still enjoyed the meal overall. Desserts were delicious with a special green tea flavored crème brûlée. We recommend making a reservation rather than walking in as we saw a few people being turned away as walk-ins!

Char is a steakhouse famous for its quality steaks and an excellent selection of wines. Very busy the night we went and quite a few people were turned away without bookings so words to the wise...book! Service was high quality, our meals came out rather quickly and the actual meals were of a very high standard indeed. Well done all around.

Best way to describe this cafe, I think is bijoux boheme meets chic. The location amongst the trees on the foreshore can't be beaten. Something about the dilapidated seating scattered among the trees shouts carefree beachy and hippie. I really wanted to give it 5 stars after today's visit 3/9/24 but today we must have hit a 'slappy lazy ho hum' service day. Perhaps this is part of the vibe they're going for, layback take it or leave it. Anyway, the iced chocolate was very nice, the ice latte was pricey at 6$ for the size IMO. I learnt later by accident that there was an orange cake on offer but you had to ask for it. While we were too early for lunch, other people's burgers looked good. It's definitely worth a visit but be prepared for premium prices.

Love this place nice coffee and a stunning view. Never be fan of the food but each test is different for everyone. Pro. You can enjoy a beautiful green space with ocean view and your dog. Con. Avoid Sunday it’s way to busy and you will wait ages to get your order or find a sit. Recommend to go during the week when the place is quieter and you can enjoy a nice juice.

If you want a nice place to relax its ok. But other than that the food has gone from bearable to awful. The burgers are constantly coming out burnt and with an unhealthy amount of what seams to be a relish sauce, over powering everything and leaving a foul after taste. The salads are soaked and pretty much just mush. And the fish has recently been dripping with oil to the point there is a pool of it left on the plate. Definitely not worth the prices anymore.

This is my second visit, when I went first time I felt I should not be judging with one time as the place place was good to visit. My second time was a disappointment too. The price is expensive how ever the service is not great. I ordered smashed avocado and it was bland and the bread was not toasted well. I asked extra hot coffee twice today but were cold then normal the young girl would hardly follow instructions when ordering and I feel like the business should be aware of this as they need to provide more training to their staff.

Took a breakfast here, quite hard to find but when you do it's worth a visit for a meal. Parking is available close by or at the bottom of the street If parking is full, so maximum of a 50m walk. Was a small queue when I went but still ordered food and drink within 10minutes. Food was nice and as ordered, was a nice variety on the menu but limited tables nearby so you have to wait for your order then take it to your table, no service. A few picnic tables close to ordering point them more tables around the area, some with nice views if the sea. A nice little place for any meal so have a look if your close by!

Shameful! The cost of the food is ridiculous. Over priced and very low quality. How can you mess up an egg and bacon roll! The plastic plate was all scratched up with a gaping crack. Burnt egg and cheap bacon with lots of fat on it. The whole thing was running with grease. Lucky we had tissues and wet wipes in the car. There was little shade beach side so had to sit under the trees in a dirty, scruffy unkempt area. I’ll never go again and will never recommend it.

I have to travel for work and stay in different hotels across SA & NT. I choose to stay at Oaks Elan for my Darwin trips partly becuase this hotel restaurant is actually really great. It’s open for breakfast and dinner, the caesar salad is superb (add the garlic prawns), the eggs benny at breakfast are perfect, the coffee is actually really great, and the food is consistently good every time I come here. The service is friendly and speedy. The vibe is chill. At the end of a work day in a new town, the last thing I want to do is go restaurant hunting, and I don’t need to when I stay here. Lock it in, no need to look elsewhere. Great job team.

Had an excellent 300 gram rump steak for dinner. Vegetables weren't taken care of hence the 4 stars only. Steak was juicy and so tasty. The Vegetables whilst fresh were bland and no or little seasoning and not Finished with butter which to me takes it up a notch. But I'll definitely go back to try the rest if the menu. Was nice sitting outside watching the passersby whilst eating Service was very helpful and friendly too 🙂

I had a fantastic meal from start to finish. My appetizer of garlic cheese bread and a small green salad were great, my steak was perfectly cooked, as were the vegetables and roasted potatoes and the dessert brownie was scrumptious. I'm not sure if these bad reviews are because there may have been a different chef, but my meal was delicious! The place was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. I'd definitely eat here again, anytime.

Great for breakfast, but can't recommend dinner. The $15 continental breakfast is a great deal, with a great spread, including a pancake machine. Had the scotch steak, which was of temperature, but not cooked well (which was meant to be rare). Uninspiring veggies, what seemed to be defrosted mash and a delivery fee of $4 to the room. No mushrooms found in mushroom gravy. Tasty enough, but at the price unfortunately not worth it.

Pretty good restaurant. The staff was very friendly and professional. Everything was pretty good and the lunch prices were quite competitive. It would have been perfect if the veggie burger and the fries were less salty, and the prices lower for dinner.

Loved the Slow Braised Beef Cheeks dish and definitely would recommend! Also ordered the Ranger's Valley Rump and Porterhouse (going hyper-carnivore here!) which were decent too, although would say they're pretty common on the Darwin restaurant menus in case you're more keen to try something else than steaks on your trip. Staff was great and accomodating dietary requirements. Kitchen forgot to separate the sauce but they did come friendlily to double check with us first.
