Great variety of food here although sometimes spicier than expected (not that its a bad thing). Great selection of wines and good service. Centrally located in the quieter part of Mitchell Street. Would recommend.

A lovely dining experience. Great service, top notch food. The entire menu sounded appealing so I went with Hanuman's signature butter chicken. It was so rich and flavourful - the best butter chicken I've had in my life, full of spice and a rich sauce, thickened with ground cashew. The black rice brulee was a delicious dessert to finish on, with a nice crisp top and silky custard.

So we did our research and was recommended to visit this restaurant. And then asked the Indian Uber driver, and the hotel, and random strangers … and yes … this place is as good as everyone said. We arrived just before 6pm opening and there was a line up. What an amazing dinner. #hanumandarwin #indianfood

We enjoyed the banquet for two! The food was fresh and very tasty! The butter chicken was awesome! Some of the chicken in another dish was very dry but did let the staff know at the time. Staff were attentive and friendly. little things like drinks arriving after entrees could be improved. The ratings on this place were high so I had high expectations. I wouldn’t say it is fine dining as it’s appears to be advertised. Expensive for the experience you get compared to Brisbane or Melbourne.

We enjoyed two dinners at this restaurant. Chicken saté and Butter Chicken the first evening and Chili Chicken with naan and broccoli cabbage the second night. Both meals were delicious. Kind service, though a bit slow on Friday evening. Servers Kim and Marvin were very pleasant.

It had been quite a while since my last visit to Hanuman, and I’m delighted to say that the dining experience exceeded my expectations. Antonio, who served us that evening, demonstrated exceptional care and professionalism, providing outstanding customer service that truly stood out. The food was flawless in every aspect, confirming Hanuman’s reputation for excellence. It’s reassuring and impressive to see that after many years, Hanuman continues to uphold its high standards consistently.

I enjoyed the experience of dining at an expensive Thai/Indian restaurant. Menu had a wide range of choices which made it disappointing as a solo diner I could only pick an entree and main (no sampler item for 1 person) The food was delicious. The service was good but missed stuff like serving spoons, or aligning the desert with coffee.

With the humidity hitting like a warm, wet hug from Mother Nature, we made our way to the wharf for lunch at Chow. We ordered a mix of banh mi, pho, duck pancakes, spring rolls, and—because balance is important—chips. Service was quick and friendly, so things were looking good. Then came the banh mi… the only dry thing in all of Darwin. Eating it felt like a personal challenge, like chewing through an edible sandcastle. Hopes were high, but reality had other plans. That said, food is subjective—maybe you'll love it, or maybe you’ll need a glass of water on standby like I did.

Great Atmosphere, food comes out fast but don't bother waiting to be served for dessert or additional food considering we where positioned right where the waiters come in and out and they could all see our meal was complete. Not a great first time experience, will not be back. We only waited around as it was my daughters birthday.

Fantastic spot with a great selection of Vietnamese and Asian dishes. The meal portions are huge - definitely designed for sharing between two or three people, which took me by surprise. I tried the Bo La Lot, Fresh Chicken and Veggie Rolls, and the Lemongrass Chicken - all were tasty, well prepared, and full of flavour. The cocktail list was impressive with plenty of great options to choose from. Staff were lovely, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. They were attentive throughout the meal and even took the time to explain how to enjoy traditional dishes like the Bo La Lot. Highly recommend for both the food and experience!

Amazing food and even better staff. So happy to find such a great place when on holiday. We went 5 times in the week for lunch, dinner and takeaway. Soooo good 😊

Laksa had no depth, tasted mostly like coconut milk. Chicken in the laksa was boiled and unseasoned. Everything lacked flavour.

This is the best Vietnamese resteraunt in town, great quality food with a great setting at the waterfront. Also great cocktails 🍸. Can get very busy at peak times though

We have been twice in the last week - with polar opposite experiences. The first time was Wednesday 26/6 and it was a 5 star experience. The service was amazing, the staff were friendly and attentive and were popping back asking if everything was ok and if we needed anything else. Food was amazing and we loved our experience. We went back last night 30/6 and if it was our first experience we wouldn’t go back. The wait staff were rude and rushed us to order even though we arrived early and there were only a few other tables full. There was no plain rice ready so I was offered fried rice, but when it was brought out it was barely warm. Our meals were lovely, but sadly our experience was soured already so we didn’t worry about desert and headed off to get that else where. One of the neighbouring restaurants had live entertainment out front, but the staff at CHOW ! decided to put on their music and turn it up louder which made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. Overall I would possibly go back, but we were all just disappointed after last nights experience after such a great one a few nights before.

A great experience, a good range of food stalls and an amazing sunset to sit and watch. I visited about 12 years ago and these markets seemed to be lacking craft stalls this time, however was a good local experience. We had ice cream and watched some people perform at the stage area which was lovely. Parking was really easy too

28 Sep 2025 // Back at the market before leaving Darwin tomorrow. We got there around 6 pm and spent about 20 minutes finding a parking spot—definitely come early if you’re driving! The Sunday crowd was much bigger compared to Thursday when we first visited. Tried the pork stick (AUD 6) after a long queue—super fatty, juicy, and very salty.. Also grabbed the garlic butter corn cob (AUD 9), and it was amazing! The vendor asked if we wanted salt, I said no, and it was still delicious. Highly recommend eating the corn while it’s hot! 25 Sep 2025 // Came to the market around 4+ and it was already crowded. There’s a wide variety of food — from Chinese to Thai, Mexican, Japanese, Korean and more. We settled for a kebab and a bowl of chicken laksa. The kebab was really good at AUD15. The flatbread was crispy, generously filled with chicken, and the mix of ingredients inside made it delicious. The chicken laksa was less impressive. Coming from Singapore, I found it weak in flavor compared to our spicier version. The Darwin version was sweeter, with a strong coconut taste. It had so much chicken that I could hardly find the noodles. For dessert, I tried the churros in the “must-try” Lotus flavor. It didn’t seem freshly made and wasn’t as crispy as expected. Lotus is definitely sweet — I probably clocked my sugar intake for the whole year with that dessert. I also got 10% off for paying cash at the Laska stall. Credit cards are widely accepted but come with a 1.6–1.9% surcharge, so cash is a better option, even though I usually prefer going cashless.

This is a must visit marketplace with really lovely views out to the sea. The markets are incredibly vibrant with lots of music, food stalls of all varieties and lots of knickknacks and artwork to purchase. Just wondering around the market was very nice and I can understand why this is one of the iconic places to visit while in Darwin.

I always visit the Mindil Beach Sunset Markets while I am in Darwin, as it is always a highlight for me:) The markets run every Thursday and Sunday from 4 pm to 9 pm, during the dry season which is late April through to late October. It does get extremely busy, so the crowds might not be for everyone. But the main attraction is the sunset. The view from Mindil Beach is pretty special; The sun looks bigger here as it sets right over the Arafura sea and you get that uninterrupted horizon. It’s one of those sunsets that really stops you in your tracks. Everyone claps when it is over because it is spectacular! There’s a great mix of street food stalls, local arts and crafts, and live music. I even saw people doing camel rides along the beach as the sun was coming down. Something to note – you can’t bring dogs into the market area, unless it’s a certified assistance dog. It’s a bit of a shame if you’re travelling with your pet, but good to know before you go. In July, the sun sets around 6.30 pm, so it’s worth getting there early to find a good spot, and get a good car park. If you’re visiting Darwin, this is a must-do – especially for that sunset.

This is the most vibrant market I've been to in Australia. An abundance of quality food stalls, with cooking smells wafting across the site. Being able to sit on the sand and watch the sun setting over the water, as you enjoy your meal, is an unforgettable experience. Make sure to allow enough time to park, grab some food and get to the beach, so you don't miss the show! For those into arts, crafts, massage and face painting, you'll not be left wanting, either.

The Mindil Beach Markets are a must-visit — and it’s easy to see why they’re one of Darwin’s top attractions. The atmosphere was incredible, set right by the beach with a stunning sunset over the water that truly added to the magic. There’s a huge variety of food stalls offering global cuisines — from American and Southern European to Southeast Asian and classic Aussie — alongside quirky arts and crafts, all run by local vendors. Supporting NT small businesses made the experience even more meaningful. Live music and whip-cracking demonstrations added to the entertainment, and for something a little different, camel rides along the beach are also available. Facilities were thoughtfully laid out, with toilets at both ends, portable ATMs, and plenty of parking (we Ubered there with no trouble at all). Prices were a little above average, but that’s expected in Darwin. All in all, we had an amazing time — it’s absolutely worth planning your visit around a Thursday or Sunday evening to catch this vibrant, beachside market.

Beautiful Indian food, well presented and fairly priced. Service was attentive and pleasant. The waiter was great in dealing with my food allergies and had clearly noted this from my online booking. Only complaint is that I ate too much!

I went with my friends for dinner. Food was awesome and tastes good. We loved it especially cheese paneer Kulcha one of the best entree there. Also their gulab jamun was highlight. Waiter was too good in recommending the dishes. Had a nice dinner

We've been getting food from Saffron (both main restaurant and express as takeaway) for around 8 years. The prices have gone up markedly in the past few years, and the balance has tipped now that in my view the (admittedly very good) food is no longer worth the exorbitant cost. I appreciate that all restaurants have put prices up as costs rise, but Saffrron seems to have done so significantly more than most others. I now can't justify the massive cost of food from here, so eat elsewhere. Fortunately there is no shortage of similar good restaurants in Darwin which are more reasonably priced. If the Saffrron prices become more reasonable in the future (very unlikely I suspect) I will return, but for now I've moved on and won't be returning.

It's been a while since we've eaten here (normally get take out), but tonight was a bit of a special occasion so we went in for dinner, and it were delighted with the amazing flavours and great service we received. Definitely one of the top restaurants in Darwin for Indian/Sri Lankan cuisine.

I order one curry with butter chicken using Uber and the first thing I got pissed off was they didn’t even gave any cutleries or napkins. Besides, the rice was not cooked well and it was sticky. Talking about the butter chicken, I had never ate such worse one from any Indian restaurants in Darwin ever. I doubt if it was even fresh as the chicken pieces tasted stale. You guys used to be amazing, but this order totally disappointed me. Try to take care of these basic things which could have been easily avoided.

Went for dinner for a 2nd visit. Great little restraint . Great atmosphere, service and delicious food. Good selection of lovely wine. Turned out to be open mic music night. Added bonus some great talent . Made for a very enjoyable night. Will go again when in town. Thankyou . Karen

Hubby had been here 26 years ago, I wasn’t excited looking at the exterior but this is a hidden gem! Cosy interior, sat in a little booth with kind lighting. Stapled menu’s. Very busy! Entree: Oysters…presentation was lacking but they were fresh with a pot of very tasty garnish. And oyster forks!! Yay as even oyster bar didn’t provide! Chicken tandoori was very nice. Main: Bug tails with Penang curry sauce…Delicious! And a side of stir fried vegetables with Thai basil and Kafir lime leaves. Very enjoyable and keep it a secret from the tourists 🤣 Highly recommend.

Chill spot, great food, even better cocktails.

This place is a Darwin must visit! The dishes are incredible. Well portioned and incredibly flavoursome. Good range of alcohol also. Rice is not included with some dishes which is a suggestion for the restaurant to consider or larger portions at that price. The decor is eclectic and really adds to the unique charm of the restaurant. Great bar just next door for pre drinks otherwise there is a cocktail bar within which is also great for afters.

This restaurant has super kind, friendly and helpful staff. The interior was a lovely surprise and there are several sections with a different metaphor. Ours gave us plenty of privacy and opportunity to chat and share plates. We were hanging out for greens and fresh veggies and our meals had plenty of those. We ordered a Pinot Grigio from Venezia which proved pleasant drinking. Definitely a place to visit whilst in Darwin.

This place is filled with character! Great food as well. Staff were really nice. We were told the building predates cyclone tracy(which is very impressive) and it shows. Cool live music venue!

Food was good. Korean fried chicken and small bowl of rice was expensive to my liking. The tempura eggplant was very nicely cooked. The kitchen did cater for my request to have one half of the Korean fried chicken in one flavour and the other half in another flavour.

Most honest three star review I've ever given. Beer selection was good, however the staff were not very informed about the selection they were offering. The venue and atmosphere was fantastic, suited to the food perfectly. It was the food that kinda dropped the ball however. Pork dumplings were very nice, cooked just right. The spicy seafood was something that we were all excited for but what we got did not get close to the expectations. It would have been barely worth the money at $10 less. Prawns (all 3.5) were cooked ten minutes too long and were harder to shell than a mud crab. Was more or less a plate of squid. And the crime here was the lack of spice which seriously was the one thing that I was expecting. Flavour was a little bit mild too. Chicken wings were cooked perfect, but thats the only thing done right. Pigeon wings in a kilo of batter with enough dipping sauce for maybe four of the ten on the plate. The batter rendered them flavourless and the sauce was there as a tease.. Actually the pickled veg was good too. Condements were par for the course. The other issue I took was the young girl looking after us had no energy and really struggled to understand what she was serving, even the drinks were above her pay grade. We jumped ship before desert and opted for some icecream from John's down the road.

Dumplings are delicious and you can have it for just $1 each for happy hour. The BBQ was good too,marinated beef, chicken and pork were tender and melt in the mouth. Just 3 stars because of the service, slow and rude, you don't feel really welcome. They had a fully booked restaurant and not enough staff to serve and clean tables. With the BBQ on our table the room temperature was not cold enough, we sweat a lot. The atmosphere is nice. Food: 7/10 very good Service: 5/10 need more staff to do better Atmosphere: 7/10 nice

Delicious dinner at this hip Korean joint in one of the laneways in Darwin. We planned for a drink but stayed for dinner - glad we did as food was excellent. Also good value. Great cocktails as well.

Went online and found this restaurant in Darwin CBD in their most colourful small laneway, surprisingly I got the best Barramundi fish in my life in this cozy, chic and trendy place for Darwin reminds me of Melbourne. LMK completed my night because I arrived in Darwin late and this restaurant is still open until 10pm. What a good introduction for Darwin.

My favourite favourite restaurant in Darwin, always good quality food and the barbecue is great fun for my kids! The cocktails from the loading bay are always so tasty. Best dishes to have are lobster prawn wanton and chicken pop. A must try when visiting town!!

Loved the concept and menu here. It was a little hard to take however once it filled up and many were cooking their meals at their table. Owners need to address a smoke filled room better than small exhaust fans. Great experience and food.

On Saturday afternoon, we visited Rendezvous Café. It wasn’t too busy, and we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were very friendly. The café has a pleasant atmosphere and is kept clean and tidy. The service was impressively quick. I highly recommend trying the satay chicken with peanut sauce—it was absolutely delicious. The special fried rice and the combination dishes were also excellent. However, the seafood egg noodles were a bit too salty for my taste, and the seafood quality didn’t meet my expectations. Many people rave about their laksa. While I’m not a fan of laksa myself, it might be worth a try if you enjoy it. Overall, it was a good experience!

We were staying at the Hilton Darwin for one night and chose this restaurant for proximity to hotel and previous reviews. We were not disappointed. Lovely staff and fantastic food. It's BYOB but they told us that when we phoned to book so bought a bottle of wine to take with us. We'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

My partner lived in Darwin over 10 years ago and used to visit this restaurant all the time for the Laksa, at its old location. She wanted to bring me here for dinner and to enjoy the Laksa again. I had chicken and beef Laksa and it was phenomenal. Flavours were fantastic and the beef was so tender and basically melted in your mouth. Only in Darwin for a week but going to be stopping back in here for sure.

I ordered the won ton soup with extra won tons. When it came it had 4 won tons in it. I asked if they forgot the extra won tons- I get 5 won tons and an extra 5 at another place, which I prefer but they happened to be closed that evening. No you got your extra won tons was the reply- so I then clarified- so your WON TON SOUP only has 2 won tons? Yes was the reply!!! Absolutely embarrassed for them and won’t go again!!!!

Parap Market is one of my favourites in Darwin. It’s open every Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm, all year round; but it’s especially lovely during the dry season. The weather in July is absolutely delicious; cool in the morning with clear skies, which makes it the perfect setting to enjoy a bowl of laksa or something fresh while walking around. There’s a great mix of stalls offering food from all over Southeast Asia, fresh produce, handmade goods, flowers, and local art. My absolute go to is the Popia; the spring rolls here are the best!! I also always get the Vietnamese pork skewers and paw paw salad—so yummy:) The smoothie and juice stalls are beautiful too; perfect for something cool and refreshing when it's starting to warm up. It does get busy, but parking is usually okay if you arrive early or don’t mind walking a little. Dogs aren’t allowed in the market area, which is a shame if you’re bringing your pup along—but good to know ahead of time. I don’t have many photos from my visits here; which says a lot because I usually take heaps—but I’m too busy living my best life eating all the food 😆 Highly recommend checking it out if you're in Darwin. I love it!

Bustling place on a Saturday morning. Tried a laksa from the Purple Ladies - absolutely delicious. And the pork belly straight off the grill was unbelievable - flavourful, juicy and so tender. Definitely worth a visit!

One of the best village markets I've ever been to. What it lacks in size, it makes up in quality. Nice fresh produce, hot food like laksa, satay, banh mi and more. I highly recommend the satay stall and purple lady laksa. There are also juice bars, flower stalls and crafts, as well as plenty of nice cafes nearby.

Love parap market 🤩 I coming for holiday to Darwin and love parap market .. FOODS 😋, FRUITS 😋 I try Chiken and squid satay OMG 😋😋 best Beef chilly curry puff pastry yum … They accept CARD OR CASH so don’t worry Not big market but good for visit and have a taste meals culinary 😋😋

Parap market is terrific for its diverse food stalls. Try the Laos salads, rice balls in a coconut sauce (my personal fave) or sweet pork on a stick. Lots of choices of things on a stick...all good 😋 Beautiful fresh cut flowers & many other stalls to browse. Oh & don't forget to grab an authentic Laksa from Mary's to take home. Fresh breads & pastries, sweet home made desserts..too much to mention. A must go when visiting the Top End 🤠

Owner Mr. Gautam Dutta has great sense of hospitality as he is always warm and welcoming with smile. Food taste is top notch with typical Thai taste. Great atmosphere with glass walls all over allowing great view of lively street outside.

Mellow Thai soon had diners after opening at 5:30pm on a Sunday and also had a steady stream of pick up deliveries. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive, promptly receiving the menu and water. I ordered the Pad Thai Combination with a sweet, rich sauce and plenty of chicken, beef and seafood. The seafood consisted of a prawn, one scallop, crab sticks and pieces of squid. The dish was a decent serving and tasted nice although the beef was slightly tough, but the dish maybe difficult to cook due to all the different protein.

The food is general very good, but the takeaway quantity is more than a little disappointing. This dish was around $20 and we received less than a container's worth of it. Will maybe avoid ordering from here next time. *I decided to give this a lower score as we received very small quantities for all of our dishes.

Mellow is opened. Reasonably priced Thai food on Mitchell street. I had the Drunken Noodle, sweet vegetable and beef noodle (17$) tasty, nicely decorated, bright clean, and popular. There is an outdoor area for the winter season. Centrally located, this Thai restaurant is worth a try.

As a lover of Thai food, the rice and cashew chicken were amazing, 5 star. Although, I was disappointed in the momo's, watery, and no flavour. Still a must place to try in darwin for their delicious Thai food.

Hands down the worst Thai I’ve had. Curry was basically water Meat like rubber Worst of all, found a piece of cardboard in the curry.

Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely restaurant. The service is really amazing. Ton & Sandrea are very welcoming and best at service. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Darwin. Highly recommend!

Staff was very friendly and helpful, all time kept checking on us- how’s the food, if we need anything else etc. This made my first impression. Price was reasonable, taste was good. The foods were all very delicious and well presented. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was also nicely decorated and the pricing for the foods was fair not expensive and the servings were a decent size. Definitely recommended as a good dining experience

Busy atmosphere-full local Asian Cuisine. Service is busy yet friendly and efficient 🤩. Food was excellent with authentic flavours with the right amount of spice. The #Rendang beef had a delicious pre-prepared sauce and the meat could have been marinated longer to really absorb the randang flavors. Coconut rice could be stronger. #basil chili stirfry #porkbelly with vegies was awesome, the pork belly was flavour-full. The #tomyam OMG 😱 👍👍. To finish the mango #pinnacota was sweet, thick and refreshing. Great for date and social meeting dinners. Away from the main scene, lots of carpark, and popular with locals.

The best Thai food outside of the markets. So nice to get some authentic Khao Soy and the veggies are amazing and fresh. The staff were particularly friendly and very attentive and helpful with our young daughter, who wasn’t as used to the spice.

Ordered four take away tom yum soups for lunch through "rambha noodle bar" which is actually bamboo lounge. THE BIGGEST RIP OFF & disgusting. Online menu states $19 for combination (chicken pork beef) and was told I had to pay $22 because they "removed" the prawns?? The meat was old and tough as an old boot. I then did a review of "rambha noodle bar" only to be contacted and promised a gift voucher as a bribe to remove my online review. Will never eat from there again after this experience

You would think you are eating food from a high end restaurant in Sydney or Melbourne when you sit down to enjoy your food from Roast & Noodles. It’s honestly amazing. We wandered into the galleria on our way to the waterfront before Roast & Noodles opened for the day- as soon as I saw all the roast ducks hanging up I knew where I was getting lunch ! We ordered the large combos- one roast pork and one roast duck and we loved absolutely everything about our meals. The roast duck was amazing, absolutely beautiful and the roast pork was succulent and full of flavour. Chicken and corn soup also came with Kori meals and it was absolutely lovely, one of the nicest souls I’ve had in a long time, the flavour was incredible. I also ordered a serve of the dumplings, one thing I’ve noticed in Darwin is that fried dumplings are huge here- double the size of the ones we generally get back in Brisbane or from the Asian supermarkets, and the dumpling sauce is spicy and bursting with flavour. Okayy, trust me friends. They have the best roast duck noodle in town with affordable price. They have so many options from noodle to rice and I highly recommend you try the dry noddle. So delicious.

As a Hong Kongnese, I can vouch for the food here is authentic and fantastic. I tried the beef brisket noodle, and the bbq pork, roast pork, and roast duck. Let me tell you it's not easy to make these dishes good consistently, and they have obviously mastered the trick. It looks very clean. And the store layout is well thought out. They serve the food very quickly and it even looks good!!!

The food was good, abit too salty, service was fast. Atmosphere was casual dining was we were in a food court in the city. We ordered roast duck with rice and green veggies.

This restaurant serves Cantonese or Hong Kong Style roast duck, barbecue pork etc. It is really good. Highly recommended. If you look closely at what the diners in this shopping centre are eating. I countered that more than half of them have bought their food from this outlet. It speaks for itself.

I have beef noddle soup and spicy chicken wings today. They are both very delicious. Let me forget to take any photos. also, I sample the black pepper beef noddle, which was amazing. I will come back next time and order that dish for sure.

Was in Darwin for a week and I ate here almost every day it was open! Great food nice people, and they even knew my order after a few days. Very big portions for a good price. Only complaint is I wish it was open on the weeekend!

I've ordered beef fried rice for takeaway. Because I was busy at work so not able to eat my order once I got back to work. When I got chance to have a quick eat, it was so TASTY!!!! So yummmmmm!!! Free museum to see an outdoor prison from back in the day. Takes about 30mins-1 hour to see it all. Great for tourists visiting darwin.

This is really a very harrowing place to visit. However, it presents the life of prisoners through a series of really well developed audio types which are very instructive and serve as a very necessary guide as you move around this prison. It has a very dark history and must’ve been an incredibly unpleasant place. It was Darwin's main prison from 20 September 1883 until 1 September 1979. In 1979 prisoners were relocated to the correctional facility located in Berrimah. Male and female prisoners were held in separate buildings from 1928. The female prison block included a small garden designed to keep the prisoners busy. An infirmary was added in 1887, which contained gallows used up until the last executions held in the Northern Territory in 1952. A watch tower, "native section" for Aboriginal prisoners, kitchen mess building, remand section and two maximum security wings were added during the 1950s. There must have been extraordinary suffering there and despite that those in charge of the current exhibition give a very accurate and confronting description of what life must’ve been like especially for aboriginal people..

It was worth a visit. I didn't have great expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Self guided tour is very informative with different stories of inmates along the way. Very primative considering is only closed in 1979. Free entry, donations welcomed but no pushed. Helpful friendly lady at admin.

Food is amazing. Staff just ok. Restaurant looks neat. They have a dish they bring the food on a hot board still being cooked and Smokey. I couldn’t breathe as I have asthma. I had to leave. Maybe I ll come back during dry season when it’s cool I can sit outside.

If you visit here, you should try their Signature Noodle. But I recommend eating that with another meal such as Fried rice since it gets a little bit salty after eating for a few bites! Very Nice Atmosphere.

Although this restaurant is called "Noodle House," it serves a wide variety of Asian dishes, and the menu offers many options. The mud crab has so many flavor options that it is hard to choose one. The mud crab is very fresh and tasty. The staff not only provided crab crackers but also thoughtfully offered gloves and aprons, so you can fully enjoy the delicious crabs without worrying about splashing sauce on your clothes. When the crab was brought to the table, its appearance, aroma, and flavor were all outstanding, even attracting a nearby diner who asked if she could take a picture. She ended up snapping several photos of the crab. It was an excellent dining experience.

6 of us went for dinner dine in, place was quite at that moment although it was a Friday evening. Ordered several dishes as we wanted to try their options. Unfortunately, the waiter heard Garlic prawns instead of Garlic oysters. Asked about the oysters and he replied you ordered garlic prawns. The dinner looked like Prawns party but we are still happy as the food was great. It would have been better if they could have noted the order correctly as it left us a bad taste.

We loved our lunch and thought it was reasonably priced. Our bugs were delicious and so was our seafood fried rice. Staff were lovely.

Update: I've removed some stars because the most recent time that I visited Noodle House left me not wanting to come back ever again. We waited exactly 35mins at our table and not a single waiter/waitress took our order, they didnt even walk past us or make eye contact. We had reserved a table, and there were about 6 tables around us with people frustrated that their orders weren't being taken either. We sat at the tables outside - it appears to me that the indoor customers are highly prioritised, and the out-door folk get treated less-than. I have been noticing this practice getting worse over the years. We tried to get the attention of a waitstaff but they were just far too busy to even notice, yet they continued seating more people...only to not take their orders. I dont understand why they continued seating people if they couldn't even look after the current customers that were waiting for over half an hour. I stood up and returned the menu's inside after failing to get anyones attention, and walked out with my family to another restaurant down the road. The service has become so poor lately. The food is amazing, but far too overpriced; each year the food gets more and more expensive. Absolutely ridiculous for less-than average portions. Will not be returning again. This place has become an absolute joke. Again, to reiterate, it wasnt just my table that was waiting for over 30 minutes, the tables around us had been there much longer and still had their menus in their hands waiting for someone to take their order. Ps: these photos were taken over the course of a few years when I used to visit more frequently - back when someone actually took our order within minuites of us being seated.

This place was recommended and it did not disappoint. Big servings, delicious food, lots of menu options. I recommend ordering a variety and taking leftovers home. Highly recommend the Mongolian Lamb, salt n pepper squid, and the tofu and mixed mushrooms.

Ordered a spicy beef ramen of which the texture of the noodle is wavy and springy as well as tender Angus beef and soft boiled egg. Flavor can be improved its umami-ness but is good enough eventually. Good portion. Karage donburi is served alongwith a complimentary miso soup and is impressive overall.

Returned Sat 26/7/25 before 8.30 pm closing time & had generous size Happy Bento.box with soup - chose Pork shoga Yaki. Tasty & satisfying for a very famished me after a long day tour to Kakadu NP. Sushi train on Fri past 7pm had limited options. Like most eateries in Darwin city- closes fairly early on weekends & public holidayi. I was last patron on Sat! Friendly service. Public holiday surcharge.

We arrived just before the 2pm close, and they allowed us to make an order. As you can see, the food looks amazing, and I can confirm that it was delicious. Great service, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. The venue has some great artwork and displays around. Was quite pleasing to look at. We left very happy. Thank you. We will see you Mob again!

The sushi is fresh and tasty, unfortunately the majority of the rolls we got off the train hadn’t had the seaweed paper cut so they were connected and it made for quite a messy eating experience. We ordered goyza and Karage chicken - both lovely, but the chicken pieces are huge again making it difficult to eat without making a mess or getting it everywhere. Service was ok, not fabulous but we weren’t being pestered and hounded to order more. Overall it was a reasonable lunch, not overly memorable or enough to recommend to someone who is seeking a good sushi experience, it’s fine for a quick bite to eat on the go and pricing is equivalent to higher end sushi restaurants in other cities.

Beautiful layout with a sushi train, but with limited options on the train, there is a larger than normal requirement to order from the menu. The sashimi plate was delightful, along with the tuna sushi we got.

Eat here for the first time!! Ordered; Tempura curry 🍛 rice, Shi-o Ramen, and some sushi 🍣. The ramen taste was very standard, a bit disappointed with the noodle (not authentic, more like hokkien noodle in the broth). Well at least they have really good Curry!! I can say the curry taste was superb! If i ever comeback i will definitely order the curry only! Oh the meals comes pretty fast though. Nonetheless.. they have friendly staff. Thank You Chef 🙏

I've been coming here for years and the burgers are absolutely to die for. I personally think they are the best burgers ive ever eaten...and im not even a fan of burgers. But these ones are just astonishing. Sorry the pictures look messy, the burgers are so big and juicy!! Highly recommend. We ordered takeout and ate them by the beach. The loaded fries are equally delicious. Highly recommend you try this place if you're into big portions, its definitely not Grill'd or Burger Urge portion, its bigger and totally worth the price

Great character and ambience, great burgers, service with a little friendly attitude to match with the clientele. Dont be deceived by the vegetarian burger ... It will fill you up. Good beef was Yum! Great burgers really filling and good value for money. Range of drinks is satisfactory and the staff are helpful. Had got a tiny outdoor area at the back and one at the pavement on the street side. Speed of food is average overall great burgers and chilled atmosphere.

One of the best place to have lunch with workmates or with friends and family. Lovely staff members, always smiling and ready to assist. Flakey Bird Burger was the best I have ever had.

Absolutely amazing goat curry! It’s been a while since I’ve had a goat curry that melts in my mouth. It wasn’t too spicy either (just the way I prefer). Lovely service too

We had an extremely disappointing dinner experience. The chicken in the sizzler was undercooked (photo attached). Mistakes can happen, but the staff insisted it wasn’t raw even after we showed the visibly pink, uncooked section. The rest of the food chatpate and momo was quite average as well. Overall, our short transit in Darwin ended on a disappointing note and a trip to Maccas after spending $90+ here.

We had an amazing experience dinning at this restaurant. Food was great. Staff seemed very helpful and professional. Price was reasonable. I have been eating in many restaurants but I find this one very special. We had a booking for 10 but we ended up being 16, the staff accommodated all of us. We tried various items from the menu. Jhol Momo had authentic Nepali taste, and momo was juicy. Jhol of momo was average but really enjoyed it. Pani puri was mouthwatering, all of us enjoyed it a lot. Samos chat was perfect, decent size and reasonable price. Fish was amazing with noodles. Chicken Choila seemed very traditional and had the amazing flavours. Fried and steam momo were amazing too. All of us enjoyed every item that we ordered. The place has enough parkings and has vegetarian options as well. I really enjoyed the matka tea at the end. I ordered the Pani Puri enjoyable entree — an explosion of delicious fresh flavours. The vegan momos were nice would be good if they had a vegan sauce to go with. Keen to try the other vegan menu items. Friendly service and nice atmosphere.

For a small place it's got a lot on the menu. I had the goat curry which had good flavour but not enough meat on the bones. It was too fiddly and I didn't enjoy eating it. The momos with dipping sauce were great and the burgers were tremendous. I'll be Back to try other things on the menu for sure.

Laksa House has a comfortably rustic charm about it, which reminded me of outdoor dining in Asia. Amye's laksa was incredibly tasty, with a real depth of flavour. The meat was juicy and tender. If I have any room left, I would have ordered some of her fried chicken, which I was assured by a fellow diner, is delicious.

Such an awesome place! Menu is simple tonight was chicken Laksa and it is one of the best I've had. Forgot to take a pic of the Laksa but if you like chilli oil give hers a go it beautifully rich, flavourful and caramelized, it's so sexy!! There's casual seating inside and outside under the open roof area.

Decided to try it tonight 6/9/24. Only 2 things were on offer Laksa or charcoal chicken so we had one of each. There's no service so to speak, you find a seat, order at the counter, pick up and pay. There are no drinks available to purchase not even water, at least we couldn't get any. The Laksa looked good and was plentiful but taste wise was just ok. The charcoal chicken was a quarter breast/wing and was ok, expected tastier. 50$ for both. Had better at the Mindil markets.

Amye’s Laksa has to be one of the best I’ve had! Great flavours, very fresh and love the atmosphere of her little restaurant, very authentic. Highly recommend! We ordered takeaway and enjoyed our laksas on the beach at sunset.

Its shit food, I never ever tested this types of worst laksa ever. Add some spicyness and lemon inside. Its very sweet 🤮. Its goes wrong with stomach pain. I had food poisoning. Never recommend. ❌

All different types of laksa here are delicious, with abundant toppings, including meat. The chilli sauce is fantastic. They also have grilled skewers on Friday and Saturday (the date is not sure, need to call to confirm). The people who work there are friendly and provide great services. However, the dining service is not so good. There aren’t enough tables, and the tables are not really stable.

The layout and atmosphere are great. Has that modern neon Asian 80s vibe which I think is cool. The food is quite delicious and some amazing flavours going on. It’s definitely more a special occasion Asian style food. More up market for what you get. But if you want a bulk plate of crispy pork belly then there’s plenty of that around elsewhere. But here it’s nice to bring friends relax and take in the pink and the sunset.

Everything about this place is amazing, the pink aesthetics, the food is so tasty and the beautiful presentation. The staff are incredibly friendly. Try the mango tini cocktail it’s so refreshing. Overall 10/10

A memorable dining experience and the perfect way to wrap up our 5-day road trip from Alice Springs to Darwin! The mud crab with Singapore chilli sauce was absolutely delicious — cooked to perfection with bold, rich flavours. Presentation was equally impressive, complete with delicate carrot garnishes that added a touch of artistry. Combined with the serene views and warm, inviting atmosphere, the entire meal felt truly special. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. At $120/kg, the price is on the higher side — likely due to the prime location — but the quality, taste, and presentation absolutely justified the cost. As a lovely bonus, we also received $20 off for posting this review. Highly recommended, especially for a special occasion.

Overall, wasn't a bad experience. The staff were friendly and service was pretty good. Location was really nice, great spot for a sunday evening dinner! Unfortunately the food quality vs price is where it fell over. We ordered the sizzling beef, honey chicken, pork dumplings and 2 serves of steamed rice. Both the mains were tasty, but nothing amazing or different. The dumplings tasted good but were quite dense (only got 3). Steamed rice was very close to being under cooked, nearly crunchy, and may have been sitting out for too long as it was very dry. Perhads I should have tried the crab or something but went for the more standard options. Certainly not saying the food was bad, but for the price vs what you get. A local Chinese shop does the same stuff but cheaper.

I wanted to share some honest feedback regarding my recent visit. I purchased a small rice and curry, but the portion size was extremely small—less than what would typically be considered a kids' meal. This was quite disappointing, especially since you’ve done much better in the past. I work in Gateway and often come by for a quick bite, but the service and portions lately haven’t been consistent or up to the standard I’ve come to expect. I hope this can be taken on board, as I’d love to continue supporting your business—but only if the value and service

They are very inconsistent about their pricing and service. The one in Palmerston charged me $21 for Bakso and could exchange the rice noodles with steamed rice but the one in Casuarina told me to pay extra which is $25. Lol What a Joke! If you can't consistently offer the same price and service don't open another branch.

Recently, the serving is getting smaller every time I come to the shop in gateway. I usually buy the beef rendang and there was hardly any meat. Also , the Chinese looking lady looks like she doesn’t wanna be there. Poor customer service. Made people wait while she’s taking her time re-arranging stuff. Not worth the money just spend your money somewhere else.

19.2.25 - Gateway has a great assortment of shops and includes a gym, cinema and pub. Big W is also on site, as well as jewellers and butchers. There is ample parking all around the building and it is always neat and tidy.

A new clean and well maintained shopping centre. There is a good variety of Stores including a Woolworths supermarket and a BWS Liquor Store. Also cafes, Butcher, Big W and many other stores. Plenty of parking with Wheelchair ♿ access and parking available.

Large shopping centre on the outskirts of Palmerston. Many different shops, including clothes, chemist, shoes, travel agents, banks and Credit unions. Also the bigger retail shops, Woolies, Coles and Big W. There are numerous coffee shops and a food court. Large parking area. Lift if you find it hard to walk up the escalator.

Lake Alexander is one of the best spots in Darwin for a relaxing family day out. The calm, safe swimming areas are perfect for kids and adults alike, and the large grassy spaces make it easy to set up for a picnic. There are shaded areas, BBQ facilities, and plenty of room to walk, play, or just enjoy the peaceful atmosphere by the water. A beautiful spot to cool off, share food, and spend quality time together.

This is an amazing spot that's both peaceful and super charming, perfect for a chill day. 🏞️ I was thrilled to find a stunning lake where I could swim and cool off on a hot afternoon!☀️ Plus, there's a fantastic playground, which is a big win if you're bringing the kiddos along.👶🏻 Overall, it's a great place , and I highly recommend checking it out!💯

Enjoyed the scenery around the lake. The area was nice and clean and the grass was well kept. A good area to have a picnic.

A beautiful park in Darwin only 6 km from city centre. Good for beach walking, jogging,cycling,boating,nature walks or just loafing around. Good for birdwatching too.

Perfect for a free family day out. Clean BBQ area alongside a well shaded playground that is perfect for children of all ages and abilities. The lake is free and safe to swim in, with a slight gradient so you can walk safely in. Plenty of room to play cricket of run freely away from traffic.

This lake is free and safe to swim surrounded by parkland, walking, jogging and cycling tracks, the beach, kids playgrounds, free BBQ's and shaded seating areas. Great views back towards the city and across Darwin Harbour, lots of history at the "Gun Turrets" and the Darwin Military Museum on the East Pt Reserve and plenty of access to fish along the coastal rocks. Plenty of parking available, great for swimming, kayaking and safe small boat sailing. Also a great place for local birdlife and animals. Birds, ducks, magpie geece, kytes, hawks & mammals are plentiful.

Best indonesian curry mix rice in Darwin. Menu as follows: curry chicken, beef rendang,green beans, mixed veggies, lamb curry, chili chicken, chilli beef, egg chili, eggplant chili. There's also fried noodles, fried rice and steam white rice. Their sambal belacan chili is really a kick. Love it. Eating here 2-4times a week.

This place is hidden away in the mall in Darwin city. Got very busy at lunch time, quite the line up...very much worth waiting for. Great authentic food! Service was very good as too portion sizes. You order a size plate and select what you want. They serve it up to you. It was very busy the day I went there, production line serving was a little slow, but staff super nice and great food. Worth the wait. You can eat inside, not very much room, there are a few table, very clean and tidy.

Authentic Indonesian cuisine - the grilled eggplant is smoky sweet and the sambal is spicy and flavourful. However, portion sizes are a bit small as I was left feeling not quite full even with a large plate. The chicken curry was quite full of bones and the fish curry was just adequate.

Absolutely delicious food with several veggie and vegan options! My favourite restaurant in the NT, because the food is mouth-wateringly yummy and the staff are kind and wonderful! If you're vegan, speak to the young woman working with the food and she will tell you all about what's vegan and what isn't! 🤗

Excellent little Indonesian place hidden away in a little arcade. Menu is very limited to what is available on the bain-marie but it's very tasty, affordable home style curries. Curries on offer include chicken curry, beef rendang, lamb, fish with okra and beans. Peanut and dried fish with chilli was a high light. Queues at lunch time is a testament to it's well deserved popularity in Darwin.

Up in Darwin on business, got recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Amazing food, and even though lines were lengthy, service was super quick and well worth the wait. Been twice this trip and will definitely try and get back before I leave.

I have been a few times for foot reflexology and I think it all depends on who does the massage on what rating I would give. The last massage I received was from Dan, very young but extremely good as he had sports physio background overseas and is now studying here to complete his Australian qualification. Highly recommend ask for Dan!

Extensive bruising after a remedial massage: I was in an extreme pain through the massage and was told it’s supposed to hurt. I’ve had many massages over the years and never have looked like I’ve been beaten up afterwards

I paid for $85 for 60 mins. No experienced staff. I asked for foot massage but received neck and shoulders as well. The staff wanted to massage my head too but I rejected it. No quality and precision at all . Very rough scrub on my legs , just like never being trained. I even got a better skills! Do not recommend it whatsoever ! Just a waste of time and money !

Disappointed, made me pay $50 up front for 30 mins. I asked for head, neck and shoulders but recieved a neck and shoulder, fast and rough massage. No precision or quality, loud centre noise interrupts relaxing as its all open with no doors. Explained I paid for the 3, so she reluctantly rubbed my head and was done. Don't recommend this place at all.

Sadly disappointed - foot reflexology massage lacked skill with pressure points and very ineffective overall - for 50 dollars for 30 minutes not worth it - do not recommend. Much better places available in centre.

Two weeks ago my sister and l had a two hour treatment. Facials and full body massage. It was amazing. The vibe of the Day Spa was so refreshing from the moment you entered and peaceful. The attendants, Anna and Pippa were excellent and very professional, and beautiful products used. Was the perfect start to my stay in Darwin and could not recommend highly enough. Would even go so far as to say it was the best l have had and look forward to returning when back in N.T.

My therapists name was Georgia and she does the most relaxing treatment. I had a facial and massage. I’m not usually one to relax very easily but it was very easy to relax in the large treatment rooms and soothing hands. The products Georgia used were beautiful.

I went here once when they first opened, found average Thai food. Recently they've changed ownership/management, and is now run by Vietnamese. The menu is mostly the same from all appearances, but the primary difference now is that they offer Pho. I tried it once a month ago, and was gobsmacked. Great pho, and in a convenient location for lunch (I work in the CBD). I regularly eat the pho, as do others I work with. Apparently it's their biggest seller, I'd recommend they change their name to Pho Hut! Can't comment on the rest of the menu, but it looks like standard Asian/thai takeaway, not particularly inspiring

Good food. Not sure if it is a Thai resto or a Vietnamese resto. We had fish cakes and prawns with basil and chilli. Fish cakes were great. Not much chilli in the prawns, bit it tasted great.

Sliding doors moment. If not to stop to look at a building opposite, the bossman wouldn't have had an opportunity to invite us in. Absolutely one the best laksas I've had. The heat in it was spot on, for me, and the sauce, noodles, and pork was divine. The duck pancake was also the best. I'm not normally a duck eater, but this was cooked just right. My wife can only have GF and that was no issue. Lots of options. Just moved to Darwin and this is on the list of local places to visit and visit and visit again.

Yum! Service was friendly and inviting. Restaurant had a nice feel a decor and playing recent music with nice table settings. The siu mai and wontons were so goooodd!!!!! Honey chicken was also battered, seasoned and cooked deliciously with a great tangy sauce. The fried rice and Mongolian lamb were a good serving size but lacked depth and I would skip the Barra next time. Would come back and order heaps of entrees as they were good 👍

Had their soft shell crab (entree), Peking duck three ways (poultry), kinto pork spare ribs and spicy salt squid. The soft shell crab was okay. The legs were good but as you keep eating to the main body, you can taste a really fishy smell that not even the dipping sauce could cover. The Peking duck three way was amazing. The pancakes were warm, the duck meat was good (though the skin could be crispier) and the sauce was amazing. The duck soup is really nice to drink. The duck fried rice is what you would expect of a normal fried rice. The kinto pork spare ribs is the star of the dish for me. The ribs were fried to perfection and the sweet tomato sauce goes so well with it. Would definitely recommend this. The spicy salt squid is the star of the dish for my partner. I loved it too. I'm glad it had a slight kick to it as I couldn't see much chilli on it and thought it was going to be a plain salt and pepper squid dish. Overall fast service despite being full house. The waiters were friendly too.

Love Lazy Susan’s. Have visited a few times for dinner; the food is always fresh and tasty, and the service is top notch. Today we visited for Yum Cha (Sunday brunch). We booked a table at 11AM (booking is advised). Thoroughly enjoyed the brunch experience, food was delicious (as always). Highly recommend the Spicy Salt Squid and the Fried Wontons. Also loved my coconut crushie (natural), if you want a non-alcoholic drink; it was very refreshing after walking around in the heat. Looking forward to our next visit! Thank you.

How good that a restaurant does evening yum cha on a Sunday? The crispy, roast pork was sensational and I’d go back just for that. The page is absolutely packed so make sure you book a table.

Ruby Restaurant offers an interesting take on Vietnamese cuisine, but it leans more toward fusion than authentic flavours. While the dishes were nicely presented, they didn’t quite meet the traditional Vietnamese standards I was hoping for. Might suit those looking for a modern twist.

First time, food excellent, from entrees to mains including Pho. Wine List has a good variety to choose from and well priced. Everything is very fresh and tasty.

Nice Pho. The noodle soup and the noodles taste like more southern Vietnamese style. Rich and intense with traditional herbs. It’s enough for 2 adults.I may try another dishes for next time. Services are perfect! Thank you.

Our full experience at Ruby's the first time ensured we would be back during our week stay in Darwin. Appreciated the freshness and flavours of the food served and the kitchen accommodating our preference for a little more 'heat' in our green curry. Our second visit reconfirmed our previous dining experience there ... although we still had the dilemma of what to choose from the extensive menu, which I would describe as Asian fusion rather than specific Vietnamese cuisine. The professionalism and friendliness of the waiting staff should also be acknowledged.

Food was absolutely delicious. A grade quality and presentation. Especially love how the food is served hot and sizzling. Friendly service and they tend to you often.

Fresh and delicious food at a great price! We had the PawPaw salad and it was so refreshing, a delicious tamarind sweet and sour soup with the most fresh fish and a Thai Barra- exceptional!

Hard working people but we had to wait for too long. 30min wait for rice paper rolls and anther 25min wait to get the main dish. The thing was not many people were there in the restaurant. Small place but it wasn’t full or no food was getting ready for take away either. Food quality wise i had better Vietnamese places.

Kudos on the rice paper rolls - fresh, filling and delicious. The pho on the other hand was expensive and lacklustre. The only flavour was the onion and the noodles didn’t seemed to be cooked through or the right ones for the soup.

Central CBD. Calm, friendly, reasonably affordable - meat noodle soup =16$ - filling. Very tasty. Soup suitable for kids. Not very kids friendly. Nice bright decor. I would go back for the tasty noodle soup.

I will say that the entire dish we had was very delicious, but once getting to main course it wasn’t the same pleasant experience. We know people have different preferences for spice levels and green curry’s are normally a bit spicy, so for someone who likes a bit of spice we still asked for mild. I could not handle how spicy this dish was to the point where I couldn’t eat anymore because I felt sick (and I hate to waste food). I know this can’t be managed that well even if requested, but the dirty glasses that we could not drink out of and the hair we found in the rice was not the best end to our evening.

Casuarina square - prices have increased 15% and now the portions are smaller. There's a new chef too because it's not as tasty, I'm not going back. I used to go there every week.

We visited this restaurant after hearing great reviews, and we were not disappointed. The ambiance was great, with comfortable seating and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they made sure that we were well taken care of. We started with crab and corn soup and steamed oysters with ginger and shallot. The crab and corn soup was more of a chicken corn soup with very few pieces of crab meat. However, the oysters were delicious, and they were some of the best I've ever had. For mains, we ordered steamed barramundi with vegetables and small seafood fried rice. The barramundi was cooked perfectly and the serving size was generous. It tasted great with the garlic sauce. The fried rice was decent, but it was not as good as the barramundi. The staff were lovely and warm, and they were always willing to help us. The price was a bit higher than other Asian restaurants, but it was worth it for the quality of the food and the service.

Best Chinese restaurant in Darwin City. Steamed Fish with Ginger and shallot is so good. Not fishy and very fresh. Their mud crab is also fresh and they have a tank of crabs for display inside the restaurant. Pie Pa Tofu is a must try. Very unique and tasty. The staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming. It tastes like home cooked food , full of warmth. The price is affordable as well. It's definitely a place you can't miss !!!

Came in about 6pm and it was quiet and empty. Ordered Sweet corn chicken soup and Lemon chicken. Soup was great but the lemon chicken was amazing. Still crispy batter despite the sauce on it. Tasted amazing. About 7 pm it started to get very busy and loud.

Was craving Chinese cuisine as a tourist and chanced upon this place. Average in taste and decent quality. Sadly, not much of Asian vegetable dishes to choose from. Waitress also doesn't speak Mandarin.

I got the food here takeaway, twice, out of convenience since I was staying at the Novotel. Speed and service was a 5/5, but the food is quite expensive for it being oily and subpar; vegetables in the stir fry a little raw, and just not a worthwhile satisfying meal. I finished my meal regretting I had gone here. For future reference, next door inside the Mercure there is an awesome poolside bistro which is much better.

The best meal in Darwin! After spending a week having average meals, we finally found an amazing feed at Loong Fong. We shared hand made dim sums steamed, prawn toast, satay sticks, Mongolian beef, Szechuan chicken and pork and black bean. All were a taste bud sensation yet the Mongolian beef was a stand out along with the chefs satay sauce. I was traveling with a qualified chef and food reviewer, and both gave the chef their thanks. Even if you are a local, this place is worth a trip to the airport to experience. Along the pool at the Novotel.

I went there for my yearly birthday dinner. The service was great but the food was not very good. When ordering I asked for the wings but they didn't have them even though it was on the menu, therefore the substitute was pork which was pretty bad. I also ordered the spring rolls which were strangely watery inside but the waitress asked if they were greasy. Again not a good choice. My main dish was the orange chicken which was unevenly cooked where the larger pieces were doughy (not cooked inside). Definitely not impressed and will never go back again. The best part of the meal was the bottled sparkling water. The next day I went to Happy Garden for a tenth of the price and I was very happy. I really was expecting better food. The strange thing was the questions from the staff like what exactly did you not like. I felt like a guinea pig for the restaurant which I paid $70 bucks to be experimented on. Dragon Court you must do better.

This is situated within the Casino and is very cosy. Best to buy just a few dishes and share them amongst a group which we didn't realise when we dined. It was $200 for 4 of us with drinks and we didn't finish all our food. The service was a little slow, we had reservations, but stood out the front for about 5mins waiting for someone to seat us (maybe some CCTV feeding into the kitchen from the front door or a bell might be a good idea?). Would go again, but order less next time.

Dragon Court is truly an outstanding restaurant. Located inside Mindil Casino, it offers dishes with excellent presentation and remarkable taste. The staff provide attentive and warm service, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I will certainly return to this restaurant in the future.

It's a unique experience with table side food prep (and quite a show). You can pick two meats and the chef tosses and chops and flips it all on the table grill in front of you. He throws food your way, so be prepared to participate and be a good sport about it. The food itself is pretty good. The meal comes with fried rice and vegetables, salad and miso soup.

OMG - this place is amazing….OKA operate a catch and cook service for fresh fish you catch, and they served up seven of the most incredible fish dishes for amazing value per head _ sashimi, tempura, caramelised onion, teriyaki, steamed fish, and chilli fish, great value and great hosts/chef - was an outstanding experience, sadly not able to consume all the food in the end! Will return next time in Darwin for sure. make sure your fish is fresh and you have a group to enjoy - it’s a great experience.

This place can be a hit and miss. Depending on your group size, can relate to the atmosphere of the room. If you’re dining-in for 2, it can get very loud with other big groups in the venue. We ordered 2 bento box, so we could get a little bit of everything and are always packed with flavour and good portion size. The service can get busy especially with big groups for Teppanyaki.

Terrific experience! As soon as we walked inside we were greeted with smiles and laughter. That was followed by an awesome teppanyaki experience with lots of laughter and delicious food!

My family and I visited OKA Teppanyaki on a Friday night, having booked in advance. It was an incredibly fun experience, especially for our children (ages 6, 5, and 4). We ordered the Kids Set for the little ones, and two sets were more than enough to fill them up. The owners were very attentive and ensured the kids had a great time. The chefs were playful and engaging, which the kids enjoyed just as much as the food. The fresh sashimi was exceptional, and it's a must-try. I ordered the OKA set, while my wife and in-laws opted for the two meat selection. The table was filled with an abundance of fresh, fast, and delicious food. I also enjoyed the sake, which my father-in-law thought was excellent as well. The overall treatment we received was outstanding, making for a memorable night out. The combination of great food and an entertaining show ensured that even our young kids had a fantastic time, allowing us all to enjoy the evening to the fullest.

A bustling neighbourhood Chinese restaurant, like you used to find in other major cities years ago. Fantastic food, efficient no frills service. As another reviewer noted, you do pay a premium for food here but I felt like it was worth it and a full house on a Wednesday night suggested the same. Expect long waits when it's busy.

Have heard from my friends abt this restaurant and today I tried it, and it's the best!! Especially their Hokkian Noodles & Spicy Salt Squid, delicious!! Also, their super big bag crackers only for $3,love it!! Definitely will come back!! 😁👍

Been having take out from this venue for past 3 years and always been good but yesterday food was terrible rice and main dishes were very salty to the point we struggled to eat them , paid 65.00 Which is very expensive for 2 mains and 1 rice which most of it ended up in the bin, if I was in their restaurant it most definitely would of been sent back. Will not be ordering again from here. Pick your game up Hingston, serving food like this will not do you any favours.

I don’t get it. 1 hour wait for takeaway. This wasn’t clearly communicated either as it sounded like 15mins so were surprised to hear about lengthy wait for food. Don’t come here if you want food quickly. Seriously. Even the busiest of restaurants generally let you know clearly when there is a 30 minute wait. But ask yourself if the food here is worth waiting an hour for.

Order tasting menu food which was $23.90 got charged $24.11. Waiting time was 30 plus minutes. Food was average. Expensive pricing as per the food and service. I order chicken dish but they gave me lamb curry instead of chicken. Luckily my partner did not take first bite because she never tried lamb before and she is allergic to lamb. Took the food back to the lady (boss lady) and told her this is not chicken and her reaction was normal as if nothing happened or it happens all the time there 🤔 She just took the food away and gave me Chicken curry and no sorry for the mistake😡 Very bad customer service and will be never coming back and don’t recommend it to anyone.

Horrible food. I don’t think it is Indian. It’s Nepalese and horribly cooked. Soaked in excess oil.. Every item has excess sugar in it. It almost felt like I was having a sweet dish instead of savoury. You can make spices feel less spicy by adding sugar. Yuck! Don’t recommend.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. This is definitely not managed by Indians, they would be from Nepal or fiji or some other country trying to pass of their food as indian food. The quality of food was anything but nice. I felt I was having sugared curry and even he garlic naan was sugared. They better off selling their food as dessert with the amount of sugar content in everything. If someone wants diabetes served on a platter go here. If someone is diabetic don't go here unless you have a death wish. I recon don't go here period. Go elsewhere, lots of good choices around. Highly recommend the Mexican place across.

Very disappointed with the food. Didn't eat anything at all. Sorry but can't call that naan or biryani, tasted nothing like it. The curries were extremely salty and inedible.

We ordered 20mins later then the first item on the table was chicken skin, it was so old, over cook, no taste and not even hot as well. So made us more confuse why it need to took 20mins for a not even warm dish. Then the main course come at the 30mins the Crsipy chicken was dry as well. And the fired egg was coming late when I almost finish my dish. Steam chicken was fine but why did not cut it probably and coriander was old as you can see in the picture. Final the curry fish fillet noddle soup was the worst experience we had ever have curry soup, night market was far away better than Papparich. Last the restaurant of ceiling light was keep twinkle, so bad when you dining indoor and the light just like broken and no one noticed that. Inclusion, I won’t recommend to visit Papparich in Darwin. But Melbourne’s Papparich was great.

The papa Wat Tan Hor is so delicious. It's like fried kway teow with egg drop gravy. Definitely must try !! Portion is so big and it's not expensive too. For drinks i recommend papa cham (coffee mixed with tea). It's my regular restaurant to go in casuarina.

Unfortunately i had a bad experience. I walked in after finishing a movie to see 3 other tables already eating at 630pm. I thought they didn't look too busy. Sadly was i mistaken. I waited 50 min for my order to come through. Multiple takeaway orders coming in and out prior. They tried to serve the main before the entree. I specifically said no msg and I'm left with a reaction after eating the main. My back hurts after sitting on wooden chairs with no seat cushion or lumbar support. The entree itself would have impressed me more but you can't enjoy food this way especially such a bad atmosphere and no token of apology for waiting this long. No care for the customer

This restaurant is located across from Casuarina Square. Despite its small size, it has a well-thought-out design and a cozy atmosphere. The food is delicious, especially the Pad Thai, vege fried rice, and roast duck, which are really tasty. The Tom Yum soup didn’t quite match my preference, but it was still decent. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making it a nice spot for families as well.

My favorite Thai restaurant! The staff and chef are always friendly, and the menu offers a great variety of delicious dishes. You can choose your preferred spice level from mild to truly authentic Thai spicy. I often see the head chef personally greeting customers, which shows their genuine care and commitment to excellent service. If you’re looking for authentic Thai food, this is definitely the place to go.

We are regulars born and bred in Darwin. We usually order 1 chilli garlic barramundi one normal and one with no oyster sauce and fish sauce as we have always done. We have only had this experience with Thai Thai once before where we were given basa but charged for barra. Last time, they replaced the meal. This is the second time we have been given basa despite me confirming it was barra. As someone who is unable to eat basa for religious reasons, I'm extremely disappointed and am sad to finally say goodbye to Thai Thai Casuarina as this experience left me devastated. You may be able to fool tourists but don't mess around with locals who know their fish.

Have been twice now and ordered the chef’s special fishes dishes. Three sauce fish and chilli and garlic fish. Fish cooked appropriately both times. Both times the sauces were very sweet. The chilli was minimal and the garlic/ chilli obscured by this overwhelming sweet sauce. Neither had any of the wonderful Thai aromatics. Serve sizes are large.

The Thai beef salad and krao pao were very disappointing. Both dishes were far from the authentic flavors one would expect, to the point where it was hard to even recognize them as Thai food. The seasoning and balance of taste were completely off, lacking the signature freshness, spice, and aroma that make Thai cuisine so distinctive. Unfortunately, these versions missed the mark by a wide margin.

I am very disappointed with my recent order of 5 plain naans from Indian Curry Paradise (via Uber Eats). I specifically ordered plain naan, but what I received were mostly butter naans, with only one that looked plain. This is misleading and unacceptable. The quality was also very poor. Some pieces felt like leftovers from the previous day — dry, tough, and not fresh at all. The sizes were completely inconsistent; some were very small, others larger, showing no standard at all. In fact, this is not the first time I have faced issues. My last order also had naans that were completely burnt and inedible. When I pay $32.50 for just bread, I expect fresh, properly made, and consistent food. Instead, I am being given low-quality and misrepresented items. If this continues, I will be forced to report this matter under the Australian Consumer Law (through the ACCC and NT Consumer Affairs). Customers have the right to receive the exact product they order, and food should meet basic quality and safety standards. I strongly urge the restaurant to take this feedback seriously. Stop selling stale or wrong items to customers. If the same issue happens again, I will escalate this formally with the relevant consumer protection agencies.

Ordered biryani and was very disappointed. It tasted like plain rice boiled in turmeric water — no flavor, no proper spices, and completely tasteless.

I kindly request you to take this matter seriously and ensure such delays and unprofessional communication do not happen in the future. Indian Curry Paradise in the Northern Territory is fantastic! It's always well-stocked, and the staff members are incredibly friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. A great place for all your shopping needs! Highly recommended.

Worst customer service ever, I ordered through uber and got this burnt nan, call the store and guy there was so rude, and saying he can do nothing about my order because it’s just 7.50$. I have attached the screenshot of his messages as well. How a customer service of any place could be this pathetic! (Mind it I am their regular customer)

I really enjoyed my visit to your restaurant! The atmosphere was very nice and comfortable. It felt peaceful and welcoming perfect for a good meal. The curries were amazing! Full of flavor and cooked very well. You can tell they were made with care. Also, I was happy to find a fresh sweet here. It’s the only place in the Northern Territory where I’ve found such a fresh and tasty sweet. A perfect way to finish the meal. And a very perfect indian grocery store.
