Have visited the location due to the concert of the Turkish singer songwriter Bülent Ortaçgil. Location was quite nice but the sound, while we standing next to the bar wasn't good at all. The sound quality was awfull and drinks e.g. Gin Tonic quite expensive.

Terrible. I asked the guy going in if he spoke English...he said yes. I told him I wanted to dance and get a few beers. I asked if I would be confined to a table...he said no that I could dance anywhere. When I got in, I had to stay in a small area next to my assigned table. This must be a Turkish thing? So stupid...avoid at all costs!

Do not go here at any cost, I went there on my own and was having a good night, I had 4 bottles of beer and they tried to charge me 9000tl 😤 which works out at over £25 a bottle, when I tried to question it they surrounded me with security and took 5000tl off me! Absolute scam place! I can’t be the first and we be the last DO NOT GO!!!!!

If you are an outsider, they might try to scam you, foreigners be careful. They would give you the fire gun and ask extra money, they will try to get more cash from you somehow or the other . Otherwise it’s a nice place.

One of the best Rock bar in town. Live music on Wednesdays Friday and Saturday for sure. Special events on others. Great sound system and great coctails. The guards won't let you in if you are drunk fyi.

This place is huge. One can find anything from printing service to suits and souvenirs. Of course there are a lot of restaurants and cafes. There is no need to visit every corner of it. Maybe just casually stroll and see where one is lead to.

Beautiful place, lots of stores to buy just about anything. Some are cheap and others expensive. Cool experience seeing the historical building and having a tasty Turkish coffee in the middle of the market. It’s closed on sundays. Free to walk around

A great place to walk around. We tried the mussels and rice. They were excellent. We also did the pickle juice which was also excellent. Lots and lots of interesting shops.

Unique bazaar as there is no goods and shops for tourists. Most of famous bazaar in Turkey is full of shops for tourist with expensive price. But here, most of customers are Izmir people. I like this bazaar. Merchants are friendly and kind! Visit here and feel some authentic turkey bazaar vibe!

The best part of our trip was a visit to the bazaar. It is massive and full of interesting shops. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Be mindful of the middle men and prices can be high. Plenty of places to eat. Take time and make a day of it

Kemeralti bazaar is quite a busy place. You can find hundreds of things to buy from there as the prices are reasonably low. Make sure you have enough space in your suitcase before visiting the bazaar because there are too many souvenirs to buy. There are beautiful bags with Turkish embroidery patterns and praying beads and countless teas and coffees. There are numerous cafes to have a quick bite but they are all super busy. This bazaar is a must visit place.

Exorbitant prices, rude staff, and sketchy, mafia-like guys sitting up front ordering bottle service… and that’s just the beginning. If you’re planning to have a beer, be prepared to pay 300 TL. Also, open packs of cigarettes are not allowed inside. Just so you know.

You are standing all the time thus you should think twice if you're going for a concert. One beer is 30tl (Oct 2019). You need to be there at least one hour earlier to be able to find a stool and a cocktail table. They have balcony but they say you need to buy a bottle for 700tl liras. (kiddin' right?🤔) Couldn't get why everybody is talking highly of that place...

It is not a good place to go under covid circumstances. If you think that you will attend an event with social distance as they indicate on tickets, you are gonna be disappointed. Additionally, if you complain about crowd, waiters can make fun of you by telling that you can order a bottle of vodka or whatever (too expensive) and stand at the vip zone that has social distance...They let people smoke inside (especially if you order a bottle, they never see you), if you look carefully you can see waiters while smoking under the stairs. Whole tables marked with a hand written paper that"Reserved". Which is not. You can't use tables, unless you order a bottle. 70Cl. Turkish raki 600 TL., 70Cl.Jack is 800 TL. If you use the tables, staff is harassing and make you leave table gently. Place has got smoking padio. I don't recommend 4 foreigners. You can have much more fun with cheaper deals in Alsancak or Kucukpark.

It was awesome, went to Manga concert. They were, as always, amazing! Love their stage 💖 and I learned that they were friends with the owner. Makes sense, both amazing ✨

So so much prices. Most crowded. You don't go to dance. Drinks are very expensive. You can buy ticket for famous people other places with fresh air.

Visited there multiple times for events, gigs, weddings etc. Everything was perfect until two huge security guards walked on me and insulted me and my women friends *outside* the place last weekend on irish spirit's festival. Event planners shouldn't ignore the quality of staff they hire. It was a scary experience for us and unfortunately i had to go to the police.

There are many things to do here, if you are willing to buy anything it's very pricey. But overall it's a fun place if you go there for a concert or competitions

The spot is almost perfect. Parking is a huge problem. The production is cheap. I don’t know who to blame. Maybe the promoters don’t spend much. But there should be a standard, they have none. Perfect place with bad management.

Izmir arena is located in a nice place with a fantastic view of Izmir.

I have been in many events at Arena from concerts to festivals, all of which are quite precious and thrilling.

For an event arena it's nice but .. there's only 1 tiny-ass paid car-park and it's really not enough. I can't imagine how packed it'd be if there were a real concert on. I only went to a chocolate festival and found no room. - The venue itself is pretty nice, the outdoor areas were excellent.

Lovely place! The view is something — for two lira, you can use the super cool binoculars, and the restaurant / bar seems to be owned by the government so prices are rather accessible. The little basket of fried things we ordered was not good, but having a cold beer under the hot Aegean sun overlooking tone water like that is not to be missed. We went down via the stairs and up via the Elevator — one can really understand why it was built 😅

Visiting Izmir Wildlife Park felt like stepping into a vast forest full of life! The park is incredibly large, home to all kinds of animals from around the world, living in spacious, natural environments. I spent around three hours exploring different areas, walking through beautiful green landscapes and capturing amazing photos. From majestic lions to playful monkeys, colorful birds, and even exotic reptiles, every corner had something fascinating to see. The peaceful atmosphere and the sound of nature made the experience even more special. If you love wildlife and enjoy being surrounded by nature, Izmir Wildlife Park is a must-visit! It’s the perfect place to relax, learn about animals, and take stunning photos.

A large and interesting zoo. Very easy payment system (no need to stand in a huge queue for a ticket). Beautiful well-kept territory, large enclosures for animals. Great variety (tigers, lions, hippos, zebras, elephants, giraffes, crocodiles, snakes, parrots and much more). Lots of information about animals. A very playful and charming elephant. Peacocks and other charming animals can meet freely on the territory. I would like the toilets to be cleaner. Planes fly over the zoo very often, as a visitor it is very noisy, I don’t know about the animals... apparently they are used to such noise. There are trash cans everywhere, but people do not see them and throw trash on the territory, I suggest to fine such people.

The zoo is very good, it has so many different animals, with many peacocks that you can see randomly around the park. It also has a nice restaurant that isn't very overpriced and is good to grab a snack. It's very recommended to have a cap when it's sunny as there isn't a lot of shade on the routes there.

The animals are in a huge area, there are many different kinds of animals. There are also several playgrounds for children, which I think is a very good idea. The entrance fee was 80 lira, but I think it's free for children under 6. We loved it.

I don't know why, but before visiting here I didn't have high hopes for it. It completely shocked me. One of the best wildlife parks/zoos I've ever been to. Stunning surroundings with natural nature and green trees. The animals were all well looked after and had plenty of space as thought they were in their natural habitats. Very well kept and clean. Plenty of toilets situated around the park. 2 cafes to stop for a drink or bite to eat. Would definitely come back again and would recommend to all ages. We had an amazing day out here. 10/10 Adults 20 lira children 10 lira

Quite a nice park, well planned and large varieties of animals. Entrance is relatively cheap as well (30 TL in July 2024). Perhaps summer is not the best time to visit, as the heat was draining and animals were tired and sticking to shady areas. Some of the pens were empty and/or mislabelled. Cafe had good icecream and ready availability of packaged water/drinks. Had no problems finding a taxi from Izmir City Centre to here and back using Uber.

The closing hour is said to be 17:30 but it was 17:15, so I recommend going slightly earlier. Muzekart is valid and for foreigners it is 4€. It is a bit unorganised inside since there is not a trail you can follow so you have to go zigzagging. Also the lighting was kind of insufficient as well as some explanations. I think you should visit but it is not crucial.

For Tourists 🚨 Lowkey a waste of time. Why? Lack of informational descriptions are overwhelming. You just see bunch of pots and pans (yeah cool) but headless statues have little to no information. The building is old and unkept. There were cool mosaics and a little bit of cool pieces but it lacks architectural design and information. How can a city this old and historically rich can have a museum that has no investments? Listen to my advise you can skip this and go to the other İzmir Tarih ve Sanat Müzesi Türkçe: Devletin acilen el atması lazım. Vakit kaybı. Gidilmez.

The exhibition is small but entertaining. This museum tells about all the stages of the formation of this city during different eras (Greek, Roman, Ottoman, and so on). The collection of coins and statues is especially beautiful. There are practically no people, so you can visit the museum without queues. The ticket is sold on the spot and costs little. The staff is friendly. If you need to leave things, there are storage rooms for this.

Don’t listen to the “low-key” Americanized complainer. People who are easily bored are boring. People who see the unkempt rather than the wonders are…less than wonderful. Lack of information, she says. This is the Information Age. A little research on one’s own never killed anybody. I’ve loved and returned to both this museum and other smaller ones in the region and they inspired a dissertation, a novel, and several paintings out of me. I’ve been to museums in Italy and they all gave me a neck ache, from looking several feet up in gilded cathedrals, but true to İzmir’s character, the artifacts meet you eye to eye and need no gilded anything. Low-key…what? A shopping mall is low-key x, y, z. This museum is so full of beauty and raises enough questions to leave me in bliss. Totally worth it. I’d take this over any Smithsonian any day.

So much to see and learn the ancient history of Izmir area 👍✅❤️ I appreciate all exhibitions here. When we were here, it was very quiet as not many tourists. We went through each room. I particularly love the ancient coins 😉. The entrance fee is very affordable. At the exit (same as entrance), the souvenir machine offers very cheap museum gifts.

Small but very nice museum. It has a good collection of artifacts from the area, and everything is well organized. It doesn’t take much time to visit, but it’s definitely worth seeing if you're interested in history or archaeology.

This museum has moved - I understand the previous site is close to the main bazaar in Izmir and is still open but that this complex only opened about the second week of May, 2023. I unfortunately do not have the exact address but it is near the Alcansak train station, on the east side of the same street as the train station but approximately one block south. There is a sign by the main gate but it is not very visible from the sidewalk. Admission was free when we attended. The museum is well worth a visit. It has some pretty amazing sarcophagi, ancient Greek carvings, and numerous other exhibits; the photos below provide a very small indication of the collections. I presume because the museum is new some of the explanations of the exhibits are not yet in place, and some of the items are not marked; however, we easily spent three hours in the complex, and serious archeological buffs could I presume spend considerably longer. There are some exhibits which I believe would be interesting for children.

Went here for lunch and the food was unseasoned, burger buns were hard. A dissappointment, would not recommend

This place is one of the oldest establishments in center of Alsancak. Even the location is very hip, prices are very affordable. Eko Pub usually have an older crowd and regulars. Music is boring and ambiance is next to nothing but these facts are not downsides of the establishment since we are looking for something else. Their kitchen is good and their Schnitzel is a must try. If you want to have some beer and snacks, this place is a good alternative.

My favourite place to have beer in Alsancak! Am coming here for 4 years now and I love it more every time. The food is great too :-)

Here is the first place i visited during my first visit in İzmir city. This beach in İzmir is a true gem! The crystal-clear turquoise water, soft golden sand, and stunning views make it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. The beach is well-maintained. There is an amazing place to walk along the beach and enjoy the fantastic view. The surrounding area offers a great selection of cafes and restaurants serving delicious local dishes and refreshing drinks. Parking is convenient, and the access to the beach is well-marked and easy to navigate. I saw many people had come to fish. It’s an ideal place for families, couples, and even solo travelers looking for a serene escape. Highly recommend visiting during weekdays to avoid crowds and fully enjoy the tranquility. Can't wait to return! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There is a fantastic vibe to this place, the staff are all friendly, the music always fits the mood and the drinks are spot on There are quite a few other bars / pubs on the strip but this has been my go to since I got here... I really, really wanted to give this place a 5 star review. I had high hopes for this place. I had it saved on Google maps as a place to eat at when in Izmir. I finally got to Izmir and I always go to the places I label on Google maps. When I see a menu with high prices, I get excited! Because if you are going to charge a high price that usually means the standard of what is being served will be high. Therefore I was ready to eat something great! We ordered two Paradox cocktails, they couldn't be made, the server asked if we could choose something else. We chose the El Gato then that couldn't be made either so we chose the Pheonix. We ordered spicy wings, chicken tacos, sea salt and rosemary fries and chicken fajitas. The wings were not spicy at all and they were undercooked, zero chrisp. They were served with a hot sauce that was closer to a ketchup. The chicken tacos were decent. The sea salt and rosemary fries were good, I feel like they would of been great if they were served with fresh cut potatoes instead of restaurant grade frozen fries. The Chicken fajitas were cooked nicely however they lacked flavor and the three sauces they were served with the fajitas were blend and added zero flavor to the dish. Unfortunately the food didn't live up to the prices charged on the menu. For Turkish standards maybe the food is good. I still have this place a three star because I believe it could do better. I went in with the intention of giving it a 5 star and I really wanted but unfortunately it couldn't quite get there. I have been to places that serve the same type of food but with 5 star reviews on those specific dishes. I did not compare Sirena to those places but to regular places. I can say I've had better fajitas at Texas Lonestar, better wings at most typical pizza joints and better tacos at many places. I like the place, and the next time I'm in Izmir I will try it again in the hopes that they raised their game. I believe they have potential.

Good ambience, good music, wide range of drinks, well designed. But the food is not good, my fries smelled like fish and later it made me a bit sick in the stomach. I guess they use the same frying oil for many things. In short, good place for drinking with friends and chat but I don't recommend eating there.

The beer menu and atmosphere are great but the kitchen is a huge disappointment. The schnitzel was like wood. And the burger meat was heavy and the burger buns were not fresh. Very poor value for price.

Great place for Turkish craft beers. Great service (unlike my experience in the Mavişehir branch). International food options - my Chinese Szechuan noodles was delicious! Will definitely visit again.

The best pub in town with a wine selection of crafted beers and also a cool tasty international menu. Stuff is so kind and helpful.

This is the only craft tap brew bar in the city, and one of minimal international food hubs. The craft beer is delicious, though pricey. The global cuisine is sub par and inconsistent. The atmosphere is positive, staff friendly, and decor vibrant. However, the awarding of 1 star is due to the frequent scamming by the facility for groups of 3+ people with false items added to the tab. Once, the bar charged my table extra orders for 'people that were certainly us' months ago. Shockingly deceptive and inconsistent with the hospitality that is exhibited in similar establishments across Turkey.

I love this place's ambiance very much. It feels comfortable and offers nearly every kind of drink you need. A single woman can enjoy her drink while being not disturbed by anyone which is comforting. Prices are a bit expensive compared to other places nearby. And yet it worth it.

One of the best alternative spots to eat, drink and even stay if you are a hostel type in Izmir. You really feel as you are in a very cosy and friendly place. Staff is very helpful and can speak English fluently. Highly recommended if you are in town.

Winter. Raining, and not a lot of seating. Bar is somewhat intimate, with wide range of drinks and edible food. Some people find it friendly. And then there's the bar cat, Ozzie, a friendly old tabby!

Best bar in the region. Their Mojito was super nice. It deserves every cent. Place is usually not crowded and they serve their drinks ice cold. Which is always nice. The owner was nice and kind as well.

It’s beautiful. It is the smallest clock tower in Balkan region I think. But it is elegant and well decorated! Totally different style. It is located in the middle of the square and at the entrance of Izmir bazaar.

This is one of my favourite spots in Izmir. The clock tower is very beautiful. The area around it has benches. Ground is also present nearby when you can sit and relax. The main market is also nearby alongwith the sea. Overall a superb place to relax, enjoy with beautiful view of the tower and the sea.

While walking along the sea, I got this amazing place. Officially named as The Clock Tower of İzmir. It is one of the most famous landmarks in the city and a must-visit place for anyone coming to İzmir. It is located in Konak Square, right in the heart of the city, and surrounded by beautiful palm trees, pigeons, and a lively atmosphere. The tower looks amazing. Luckly when I got here, there was a concert running. I stood up there, while taking pics, I enjoyed the atomosphre as well. You can also take nice photos and meet friendly local people. It’s definitely one of my favorite places to visit!

Fine architecture. When you exit the bazaar to the sea you stumble upon this tower clock. Be aware that during noon it is very very hot, have a hat and sun glasses. Parking in the area is hard to find.

The clock tower was beautiful, and if you go during the sunset time onwards, you'd reward yourself with a great view. A nice place for a walk around the port with cafes and restaurants all around. As for the clock tower itself, simply "Timeless"

They fire many fireworks and it’s always full of smoke and also the smell of fire and smoke. But anyways it’s a night club !!! So it’s normal 🤭 I didn’t like the drinks to be honest. I think they add too much juice or energy drinks and very little alcohol. You need to order more and more ! The music is not bad but not the best. The view is awesome though. Don’t forget that it’s too pricey!!! 💰💰💰💰💰💰

Location is great, just a walk away to the seaside. The room needs renovation but it’s cozy and clean. Cooling is not working because it’s a centralized AC, all you can do is crank up the wind speed to make the room cooler. The shower is inside the tub, not really convenient. The hot water works well. Their à la carte menu is good, best fettuccine in town. Their fish soup is also great. A great dining place with a really great price!

I am an ALL Accor Gold Member and had a very disappointing stay at Mövenpick Izmir. On Sept 10, the hotel reached out to welcome me and ask questions, but never mentioned any prepayment requirement. My reservation was made directly through the ALL Accor website with my credit card on file. I even entered my expected arrival time as 10–11pm local time due to my international travel. Yet on Sept 11 — the very day of my check-in, while I was flying from the US — I received an email saying that unless I paid in full by 6pm local time, my reservation would be cancelled. As an international traveler, I could have easily missed that email, and given that I had already provided my credit card through ALL Accor, this kind of last-minute ultimatum is unacceptable. Beyond that, the service was inconsistent and frustrating: • Hotel-arranged taxis often complained about the destinations. One driver even said, “I am not your hotel’s taxi driver” and became aggressive — clearly a coordination problem the hotel caused. • Requests (like daily water) had to be repeated multiple times before being delivered. • In my parents’ room, the TV remote malfunctioned; someone promised a replacement but it never arrived. • Same-day dry cleaning was not returned within the promised timeframe, and the ironing was unprofessional (though at least not charged). For a brand like Accor, this was far below expectations. The location is good, but the lack of transparency, poor follow-through, and weak service culture made this stay stressful and disappointing. Loyal members should not have to worry about losing their reservation mid-flight, especially when booking directly through ALL Accor with a credit card already on file.

This was the first time I stayed in this hotel and I had a great experience. Prior to my arrival, I had very good communication with the hotel manager Firat, who had been extremely helpful. As I am a platinum member of accorhotel, we got free room upgrade to a very nice suite with sea view. Even more impressively, when I was trying to buy a book from Turkey before I arrived, Firat even helped to look into the possible source. We paid 700 for long drinks (pretty small, full of ice and weak, probably bad alcohol quality as well) and 500 for a 0.3 beer. I paid 800 for my gin tonic, excepting change. Haha, yeah of course not. They could also ask for an entree fee, be careful. You would think money buys a nice night. Not here. I think all clubs in this street are like this: Tourist traps. Some clubs I have good experience with: maze and the club next to it, kalt, maybe tac mahal (haven't been there).

I stayed at the hotel for four nights and was pleasantly surprised by the facilities and conditions offered in Izmir. Although the building is a bit old, the rooms were clean and well-equipped, including a fully stocked minibar. One highlight was the nightly piano performance in the lobby from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, which created a delightful ambiance. My family and I stayed at Kaya Hotel in Izmir in July 2025. Overall, it was a memorable experience. It’s unfortunate that a hotel of this scale doesn’t have fluent English speakers at the front desk. On a more positive note, the breakfast was absolutely incredible—high-quality food with a wide variety of options. The rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. One important thing to note: the hotel is located far from the city center. You’ll definitely need a car. We used Uber during our stay, but it became quite expensive, even with the favorable USD exchange rate, simply because the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. That was on us for not checking the location more carefully when booking. When I told the people about my issue they said ‘we will call you back’ they never did . I asked for a ventilator , a portable aircondition , a room change .. but no help could be provided .
