Garden
The Philbrook Museum of Art is housed in a stunning Italian Renaissance-style mansion surrounded by 25 acres of beautiful gardens, making it a unique and picturesque destination in Oklahoma. The museum boasts an extensive collection of over 16,000 American, Native American, and European art and objects. In addition to its main location, the museum also has a satellite facility called Philbrook Downtown, which opened in 2013 and focuses on Modern and contemporary art as well as Native American art.
Come to visit as I had been very intrigued in the art pieces. I had to come and take a look for myself. I was not disappointed from the inside the atmosphere was very inviting and everything was very well organized. The ambiance and timeless pieces were picturesque. I absolutely enjoyed looking at all the modern pieces. And let’s not talk about the outdoors wow. Absolutely magical. The scenery and the tranquility that exudes in this whimsical garden is something worth coming for. The lush and perfectly manicured gardens with the peaceful sound of the fountains I almost didn’t want to leave. The Gardens were a special treat to walk around and enjoy some peace and tranquility. I absolutely recommend visiting Phil brook art museum if you’re in the area.

This is a grand mansion art museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The grounds are inspiring! My favorite is the swing under the giant oak tree. The sun streaming in my face through the leaves was memorable. The art is interesting to view while having a relaxed visit. We bought some goodies in the gift shop. We ate before arriving, but there is a cute little cafe for lunch.
Roxann H — Google review
This was an absolutely beautiful museum and garden. I spent about 4 hours wandering around looking at all the paintings and gardens. There are many areas you can have a picnic or relax and there’s something for everyone.
Johannah C — Google review
The art and temporary exhibits are great. My favorites are the mansion and the amazing gardens. The gardens are beautiful in spring and summer, but are great in fall and winter too. The staff plants over 22,000 bulbs every year.
Lisa O — Google review
This is a beautiful museum in a beautiful location. We especially enjoyed the grounds. Some of the art on top floor were by favorite artists of ours. Still lovely. The grounds are perfect. The hardscaping, fountains, statues, landscaping were all art in themselves. We were anticipating a quiet, peaceful time. However, we visited during a big children's event and would have visited a different day had we known. (We didn't see any mention when we were looking at hours/prices.) It was much more crowded than we anticipated for a Wednesday morning and not as peaceful in views or sound, but still lovely. The photographer's garden (?) was closed so we were sad to miss that; however, the other side with the summer house, fountain and ascent to the house was lovely with the large swing and bench alcoves along the ascent. The back of the house gardens sweep down, accented by descending water steps, fountains, koi pond and culminating in a lovely rotunda perched among the surrounding trees.

Zoos & Aquariums
Tulsa Zoo is a vast and educational park that offers a wide variety of animals, including African lions, Australian kangaroos, South American jaguars, and Malayan tigers across 84 acres of wild exhibits. Visitors can enjoy attractions such as the Safari Train, carousel, Giraffe Experience, Chimpanzee Connection, African penguin exhibit, Lost Kingdom, and Helmerich Sea Lion Cove.
Cute zoo. Nice flow walking through the park. It’s not overly big. I liked that there was many inside options for hot weather. We were able to walk through zoo in a few hours. Zoo was clean. Had a pleasant day visiting even in the 90 degree weather. Enjoyed feeding the giraffe too!
Mandy W — Google review
We are members at the zoo. Currently they are remodeling a large area of the Africa exhibit. It's still a good time and lots of fun. We loved the dinosaur exhibit this year! The playground is lovely as well. They have multiple play areas for all ages and abilities.
Megan D — Google review
Even though I don't like to support animals in captivity, we wanted to bring our son to the zoo for the first time! We arrived at 11:00am. They stopped taking admissions at 12:00 for hallZOOeen. So we had to be out by 1:00pm. We did go through some of the exhibits rather quickly to ensure that we would get to see it all before we had to go. But honestly, we were ready to leave around that time anyways, so it worked out perfectly. From what I could see most of the animals were very well cared for. Some of the inside enclosures looked like they needed some care..... There was a tiger pacing a foot bridge above us and that was a little alarming & I was sad for the bear. It just seemed a little sad but maybe it was just nap time after it had its lunch. My favorite was the monkeys (inside) but it was hard to find space to squeeze in and see them. There were lots of families posted up there, staying for awhile. So we weren't able to get pics with monkeys but that's ok! We got to see them feed the big turtles! My son absolutely loved the giraffes! We all did! And there was plenty of space to hang out and watch them awhile, even though there were lots of families. It was a good day & the weather was perfect. We will definitely come back and spend some more time. Or maybe even come to hallZOOeen! They had it decorated really cute for Halloween so I can only imagine it was much better to experience at night and with all the kids in their costumes!

The zoo is always a nice place to take a day trip too. If you are in the area for any reason you should go and spend the day there. They have a train ride. Dinosaur exhibit. Children’s playground and petting zoo. There is something for everyone to see. They are currently doing some construction on some of the exhibits. I’m still excited to go back when everything is completed.
Amy G — Google review
Love this place. Great Family fun . Right now they have a dinosaur exhibit. It looks pretty awesome. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Besides all the awesome animals there. We have a cool playground in the middle of the zoo. . The kids absolutely loved it. And so did I.
Sherrie W — Google review
This was a spur of the moment trip, that currently have a Dinosaur Exhibit going on and it's about to end at the end of the month. We go to the OKC zoo quite often and the Tulsa zoo definitely offers a lot of other species of animals to experience. Currently there is a lot of construction going on and at first we could not figure our way around the park, we would ask other people directions and they would be just as lost. The map provided was not as easy to navigate and you could hardly ever find direction/location assistance signage. Maybe it's because of all the construction going on but all in all it's a very nice zoo and worth the trip.
Randhier R — Google review
Had a fantastic time at the Tulsa Zoo! The upgrades and the new Elephant Barn is amazing! We spent 4+ hours walking around. We went on a Monday and it was not busy at all! Double stroller is cheap to rent, $10. We brought our own food and drinks so I’m not sure about prices of food and drinks. There is a lot of construction going on but didn’t hinder our time there at all! Will be back!
Karly A — Google review
This was a fun zoo that we enjoyed very much. The only issue we found was that a good portion of it was blocked off and inaccessible. Because we are from out of town, we did not look up the attractions that were closed versus those that were open. If you're going, be sure to verify that what you want to see is available. It is great that there are multiple playgrounds throughout the zoo for the kids to enjoy during the visit to give them a break from animal exhibits. The largest playground has a lot of great climbing apparatuses however, it has very little shaded seating for the parents to use while the kids play. The animatronic dinosaur area was fun and my son enjoyed reading all of the placards that supplied information about each dinosaur. Most of that area was shaded. There's even a sandpit for kids to practice being a paleontologist and unearthing dinosaur bones and fossils.

Restaurant
Macaw Landing Grille is conveniently located near the rainforest exhibit and offers a variety of American cuisine, including burgers, salads, sandwiches, and pizza. Guests have the option to dine indoors with air conditioning or enjoy their meal on the shaded patio. While some found the place a bit disorganized, others praised the delicious food and cleanliness of both indoor and outdoor areas. The zoo's bustling atmosphere is to be expected but may not be ideal for those seeking a quieter dining experience.
Many reviews about straws here. Look it's a zoo and eco friendly, I wanted a straw too but totally get it - it's a zoo?! Fast food, very good, clean inside and out. someone mentioned noise, I didn't notice any noise from the grille, only from the kids (duh!) I went to go sit at a table a lady "rushed' out and cleaned it lickedy quick. Nice touch young one! Expected pricing but the food was above and beyond expectation. If i had a complaint it would have been about the cup, I didn't know I bought the souvenir cup, but actually worked out great refills only 2.29$ - did that about 4 times. Great value.
Steve D — Google review
We ordered the pizza, cheeseburger basket, and strawberry cup. It was very busy when we got there and the line was confusing. Not the most organized place for sure. I think if they gave the employees headsets and changed the area you pick up your food at, it would flow a little better. The burger was absolutely delicious. The pizza was good and a decent sized slice, but the price was a bit high, especially since it had the minimum marinara and cheese. Overall good food, just a little pricey and not set up the best.
K T — Google review
Food- tasted pre-made, institutional Service- non existing Atmosphere - too crowded for my taste. All in all, it was ok, way too pricey for what you get. But then again, look where I'm at
Ravenstar — Google review
McDonald’s might have been better. Food was meh quality, sort of warm, order was wrong, staff were indifferent and choices minimal. Food came out fairly fast and it was clean. Not worth the price but typical for on site dinning at places like this.
Sheldon B — Google review
Drink cup - doesn’t comes with lids and straw Pizza - burns and overcooked, throw away after having a couple bites Cheese Burger - Buns feel like rubber, patty burns and throw away. — 2 slides of pizza — a cheese burger and 4 regular drinks $48 bucks wasted the first time. Has to go for other food
Zaw A — Google review
Just got a pbj kids meal because prices where high and we got was a stale uncrustable type thing. The bread was hard and the peanut butter looked questionable at best.
John S — Google review
Want a straw? Don’t expect one with your drink that your already bought….But wait, you can for sure get one if you buy the souvenir cup. If the over priced food and lack of customer service isn’t enough:

Two Turtles Sperry is a growing city located in the suburbs of Tulsa, OK. It's known for its friendly and helpful staff at the local smoke shop, which offers a variety of brands and competitive prices. Despite some confusion with images on certain websites, visitors praise the store for its quick service and good selection. The town itself is described as nice but lacking in stores, yet it continues to advance.
This store confuses me. Like, how do they manage to only hire the SWEETEST PEOPLE?!🥰 This is my happy store as the ladies always make me smile. I'm trying to quit, but I'll always stop by just for a pop and a chat. Awesome people. Take a look inside atleast once a month, there's always something neat in there like cool zippo lighters.

Have a lot of different brands. Prices keep going up. But I guess that's state and fed fees. Pics on this site are not of the smoke shop tho. They are pics of Tors German food and pub. Great place!

5Rajan's

Restaurant
Rajan's, situated in the heart of the Lost Kingdom, offers a delectable menu featuring chicken strips, loaded tots, and Nashville-style sandwiches. The indoor lounge seating provides a perfect escape from the summer heat. Visitors can enjoy their meals just three feet away from tigers, making for a unique dining experience. While prices may be slightly higher than local restaurants, the quality of food is comparable and portions are generous.
How many places in the world can you eat lunch sitting 3 feet from a tiger? I'm sure quality is going to vary at a place like this somewhat but we had a great meal as a family and local craft beer for prices not much worse than if we had gone to a local restaurant. The quality was comparable to a typical restaurant as well. The chicken tenders were massive. Our two kids (3 and 5 years old) shared one 3 piece chicken tender plate and there was food left over. My one beef was the TERRIBLE payment system. If you want to pay with a card you can only pay at an unmanned kiosk. There is a manned register but only for cash transactions. At the unmanned kiosk if you order alcohol it blocks the transaction until a manager overrides it but it doesn't actually notify the staff. It's up to you to flag someone to come help you and if they don't come quick enough the computer tries to end the transaction. Same problem if you want to apply your zoo membership discount. Staff has to enter a code nobody gave you. There's no way to just enter your membership ID/name, etc. a very poor user experience. Please fix this Tulsa zoo. Otherwise a great meal. Sure beat the original plan of eating at Sonic before the zoo.
Charles H — Google review
I was genuinely shocked at how good the loaded fries were. The chicken on them is a cut up chicken tender, and they gave plenty of bacon and cheese. The sauce was great! The service was friendly and fast, especially for how busy they were, and I like that they use buzzers. The prices were a bit rough, but that's to be expected, it was $17 for loaded fries and a gatorade.
Oliver R — Google review
My wife and I walked around the Tulsa Zoo today 6/16/2025. It was pleasant a lot of renovations are under way in the zoo. We stopped and had lunch at this restaurant inside of the zoo next to the tiger exhibit. We had grilled chicken sandwiches and fries. They were very good. I recommend giving them a try the next time you are in the Zoo.
Toby T — Google review
All other restaurants in the zoo are better. Ordered the pizza melt, Cuban melt, and kids melt. We also ordered some poutine. The kids melt is half a sandwich. The pizza melt does not have any sauce add advertised and is VERY garlicy, and I love garlic. The Cuban says it does not hasn't any sauce and also says it has pulled pork. We asked if there way any sauce on it at checkout. We were told no. The one we received only had 3 little pieces of pulled pork on it. It also was COVERED in mustard. The poutine only had 4 shredder curds and 4 little dollops of gravy. When we asked about theses issues we are told the sandwiches are made before they open in the morning and just heated up when people order them. They also said that we should have known there was mustard on it since it is a Cuban. They also felt there was enough marinera on it. I have attached pictures so you all can judge for yourself. Go to ANY other spot for better food and better service.
Robert L — Google review
Overall, the food was decent and the building inside was nice and clean. We waited over 30 minutes for our food while we sat and watched those who ordered after us get their food; not pre orders either. They utilized the kiosk and paid. We only had 4 meals with drinks. Not worth the $70+ for 4 people. The staff wasn’t welcoming or friendly either. As an edit, the zoo describes as Rajan’s having “a variety of grilled cheese sandwiches, craft beer on tap and ice cream from Rose Rock Microcreamery.” This is not the case with the grilled cheese sandwiches or the ice cream; they offer dipping dots.
Heather R — Google review
Employees were nice, location was neat and tidy, but the food was not heated up long enough. Mac and cheese was clumpy and missing the kimchi. The franks hot honey was an unmelted single of pepper jack on a chicken tender with no sauce just dry on dry sandwich. The fries were cross cut but still hard. Big bummer love the zoo (member and everything), but maybe this place shouldn’t be a thing. It would make a great event space
Clayton G — Google review
We had a great experience at the zoo except this place! My wife my son and my self paid for three sandwiches we didn't eat all of. 2 cuban melts (wife and kid had) were smothered in mustard and had two small pieces of shredded pork that was advertised. My son's Cuban not only had almost no pulled pork but one small piece of Ham on half the samdwich. Pizza melt had a large amount of garlic flavor. So much I couldnt take more than 2 bites of it, we asked to have them remade and they explained they were premade and would be the same. so dont eat here at all. We paid as much to get in to the park as we did on 3 melts and 1 drink. We tried to eat and trade to make it work but in the end we all threw our melts in the trash and paid $40 for some ok waffle fries and a drink. SAVE your money and eat elsewhere.
