Garden
The Philbrook Museum of Art is housed in a stunning Italian Renaissance-style mansion surrounded by 25 acres of beautiful gardens, making it a unique and picturesque destination in Oklahoma. The museum boasts an extensive collection of over 16,000 American, Native American, and European art and objects. In addition to its main location, the museum also has a satellite facility called Philbrook Downtown, which opened in 2013 and focuses on Modern and contemporary art as well as Native American art.
Come to visit as I had been very intrigued in the art pieces. I had to come and take a look for myself. I was not disappointed from the inside the atmosphere was very inviting and everything was very well organized. The ambiance and timeless pieces were picturesque. I absolutely enjoyed looking at all the modern pieces. And let’s not talk about the outdoors wow. Absolutely magical. The scenery and the tranquility that exudes in this whimsical garden is something worth coming for. The lush and perfectly manicured gardens with the peaceful sound of the fountains I almost didn’t want to leave. The Gardens were a special treat to walk around and enjoy some peace and tranquility. I absolutely recommend visiting Phil brook art museum if you’re in the area.

This is a grand mansion art museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The grounds are inspiring! My favorite is the swing under the giant oak tree. The sun streaming in my face through the leaves was memorable. The art is interesting to view while having a relaxed visit. We bought some goodies in the gift shop. We ate before arriving, but there is a cute little cafe for lunch.
Roxann H — Google review
This was an absolutely beautiful museum and garden. I spent about 4 hours wandering around looking at all the paintings and gardens. There are many areas you can have a picnic or relax and there’s something for everyone.
Johannah C — Google review
The art and temporary exhibits are great. My favorites are the mansion and the amazing gardens. The gardens are beautiful in spring and summer, but are great in fall and winter too. The staff plants over 22,000 bulbs every year.
Lisa O — Google review
This is a beautiful museum in a beautiful location. We especially enjoyed the grounds. Some of the art on top floor were by favorite artists of ours. Still lovely. The grounds are perfect. The hardscaping, fountains, statues, landscaping were all art in themselves. We were anticipating a quiet, peaceful time. However, we visited during a big children's event and would have visited a different day had we known. (We didn't see any mention when we were looking at hours/prices.) It was much more crowded than we anticipated for a Wednesday morning and not as peaceful in views or sound, but still lovely. The photographer's garden (?) was closed so we were sad to miss that; however, the other side with the summer house, fountain and ascent to the house was lovely with the large swing and bench alcoves along the ascent. The back of the house gardens sweep down, accented by descending water steps, fountains, koi pond and culminating in a lovely rotunda perched among the surrounding trees.

This place was so beautiful! From the art to the garden. They have something for all ages. Definitely will be coming back! It would be a great place to take wedding photos’

Zoos & Aquariums
Tulsa Zoo is a vast and educational park that offers a wide variety of animals, including African lions, Australian kangaroos, South American jaguars, and Malayan tigers across 84 acres of wild exhibits. Visitors can enjoy attractions such as the Safari Train, carousel, Giraffe Experience, Chimpanzee Connection, African penguin exhibit, Lost Kingdom, and Helmerich Sea Lion Cove.
Cute zoo. Nice flow walking through the park. It’s not overly big. I liked that there was many inside options for hot weather. We were able to walk through zoo in a few hours. Zoo was clean. Had a pleasant day visiting even in the 90 degree weather. Enjoyed feeding the giraffe too!
Mandy W — Google review
We are members at the zoo. Currently they are remodeling a large area of the Africa exhibit. It's still a good time and lots of fun. We loved the dinosaur exhibit this year! The playground is lovely as well. They have multiple play areas for all ages and abilities.
Megan D — Google review
Even though I don't like to support animals in captivity, we wanted to bring our son to the zoo for the first time! We arrived at 11:00am. They stopped taking admissions at 12:00 for hallZOOeen. So we had to be out by 1:00pm. We did go through some of the exhibits rather quickly to ensure that we would get to see it all before we had to go. But honestly, we were ready to leave around that time anyways, so it worked out perfectly. From what I could see most of the animals were very well cared for. Some of the inside enclosures looked like they needed some care..... There was a tiger pacing a foot bridge above us and that was a little alarming & I was sad for the bear. It just seemed a little sad but maybe it was just nap time after it had its lunch. My favorite was the monkeys (inside) but it was hard to find space to squeeze in and see them. There were lots of families posted up there, staying for awhile. So we weren't able to get pics with monkeys but that's ok! We got to see them feed the big turtles! My son absolutely loved the giraffes! We all did! And there was plenty of space to hang out and watch them awhile, even though there were lots of families. It was a good day & the weather was perfect. We will definitely come back and spend some more time. Or maybe even come to hallZOOeen! They had it decorated really cute for Halloween so I can only imagine it was much better to experience at night and with all the kids in their costumes!
Jennifer V — Google review
The zoo is always a nice place to take a day trip too. If you are in the area for any reason you should go and spend the day there. They have a train ride. Dinosaur exhibit. Children’s playground and petting zoo. There is something for everyone to see. They are currently doing some construction on some of the exhibits. I’m still excited to go back when everything is completed.
Amy G — Google review
Love this place. Great Family fun . Right now they have a dinosaur exhibit. It looks pretty awesome. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Besides all the awesome animals there. We have a cool playground in the middle of the zoo. . The kids absolutely loved it. And so did I.
Sherrie W — Google review
This was a spur of the moment trip, that currently have a Dinosaur Exhibit going on and it's about to end at the end of the month. We go to the OKC zoo quite often and the Tulsa zoo definitely offers a lot of other species of animals to experience. Currently there is a lot of construction going on and at first we could not figure our way around the park, we would ask other people directions and they would be just as lost. The map provided was not as easy to navigate and you could hardly ever find direction/location assistance signage. Maybe it's because of all the construction going on but all in all it's a very nice zoo and worth the trip.
Randhier R — Google review
Had a fantastic time at the Tulsa Zoo! The upgrades and the new Elephant Barn is amazing! We spent 4+ hours walking around. We went on a Monday and it was not busy at all! Double stroller is cheap to rent, $10. We brought our own food and drinks so I’m not sure about prices of food and drinks. There is a lot of construction going on but didn’t hinder our time there at all! Will be back!
Karly A — Google review
This was a fun zoo that we enjoyed very much. The only issue we found was that a good portion of it was blocked off and inaccessible. Because we are from out of town, we did not look up the attractions that were closed versus those that were open. If you're going, be sure to verify that what you want to see is available. It is great that there are multiple playgrounds throughout the zoo for the kids to enjoy during the visit to give them a break from animal exhibits. The largest playground has a lot of great climbing apparatuses however, it has very little shaded seating for the parents to use while the kids play. The animatronic dinosaur area was fun and my son enjoyed reading all of the placards that supplied information about each dinosaur. Most of that area was shaded. There's even a sandpit for kids to practice being a paleontologist and unearthing dinosaur bones and fossils.

Gilcrease Museum, located just 10 minutes from downtown Tulsa, is a renowned institution showcasing an extensive collection of art and artifacts from the American West and Native American cultures. The museum boasts over 10,000 works of art, including 18 original bronze sculptures by Frederic Remington. Visitors can explore large-scale masterpieces depicting the American landscape and delve into an unparalleled anthropology collection. Additionally, the museum features interactive exhibits that offer insight into the history of the Americas.
Absolutely incredible museum! I can’t wait for it to open soon.
Cayman S — Google review
We visited in late April 2024 and walked around the grounds. The museum was closed, and the northern part of the grounds are closed off for construction. But we were able to walk around the southeastern part of the gardens. It looks a bit neglected now since they aren't expecting many visitors, but they may be prettier when everything is open again.
K O — Google review
Definitely worth a visit at least once. The museum is great, but the gardens and park don't get their due. A must see, the pictures do them no justice. The only disappointment in the gardens are the pre-columbian and Pioneer gardens, they need some attention. As for the museum, they've got several play corners for kids and an entire kid-focused exhibit down stairs. The masterwork and permanent collection of western and Native American art was stunning and interesting. It was great to see the bronze sculptures and the gigantic paintings. Recommended.
Brian F — Google review
Some of the gardens were fantastic. It was so Peaceful there. The museum was great it had a large variety of paintings, photographs and sculpture. It's the best place to go to learn about art. Your kids will love it there. They have some activities today we made time capsule and it was soooooo fun. I would highly recommend this place.
Durgga M — Google review
Great museum filled with Native American relics. We spent about 2 hours inside and wandering around the gardens. My boyfriend actually learned quite a bit about his ancestors. I loved the landscaping and the different themed gardens from all the ages. Definitely a must see if you’re in Tulsa.
Kaylin B — Google review
Very nice museum and worth a visit. Artifact room on lower level has more artifacts than you could look at in a day with a wonderful interactive e-guided tour via a tablet you can carry with you as you go through this section. Upstairs has visiting exhibits and some wonderful bronze work by artists such as Remington. There are wonderful paintings and the gardens are beautiful and peaceful. Great place to spend a morning or afternoon. The current Pulitzer prize exihbit is very intense, you might not want to take small children through it. But do see it. It will move you.
50 B — Google review
Loved this little museum. Was lucky to have visited when they had free admission and an outdoor concert. Definitely a must on any Tulsa visit bucket list
Mark T — Google review
The Gilcrease has a jewel of a collection I try to bring to the attention of non-Oklahomans. The Remington and Russell sculptures are a great set. There's a lot more range to the art, as a whole, than one expects. Many of the American West paintings are great postcards of the period, forerunners of the action art/illustration of modern times. Visit the awesome landscapes. Stand in front of Moran's massive Shoshone Falls, just close enough for it to fill your sight, and feel the vertigo and splendour. There's a good interactive exhibit downstairs, a great glass-walled hall, and lots of things going on.

The Golden Driller Statue is a towering 75-foot tribute to the oil industry, proudly standing in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This iconic monument was originally created for the 1953 International Petroleum Exposition and has since become a symbol of the city’s rich oil heritage. Constructed from steel and concrete, it weighs an impressive 43,500 pounds and showcases an oil worker resting his hand on an oil derrick. The statue was permanently installed in 1966 after its popularity soared during earlier exhibitions.
Gotta stop in and take a picture. Super easy in-and-out for a quick photo opportunity. Plenty of good restaurants around too if you are passing through and looking to stretch your legs and grab a bite to eat.
Spencer H — Google review
I’m easily pleased so it was pretty cool seeing the ginormous golden miner statue. I didn’t realize just how big it is until I sat on its boot for a picture and then saw the picture!

Went to the State Fair for the first time in a long time. I loved the Josiah Queen concert. He was so interactive with the crowd. It was phenomenal!! The food is crazy, and if course this girl can't say no to a funnel cake!

I had a very fun time at Tulsa. I have all of the pictures and videos of the trip and even a picture of Tulsa. Tulsa has been a wonderful experience both in and out, and now that I’ve left Tulsa it just makes me sad. I definitely would go back here and see this statue in addition to the trip that I had. Check out the videos and pictures of the trip below, enjoy!

Tulsa State Fair.... 2 stars because I understand it's public venue and I try to enjoy the environment but tired of juveniles fighting, gangs, underage vaping... where are the parents? It isn't a drop your juvenile off daycare just so they can run a muck! After dark on weekends it isn't catered for family's by any means...
Dennie J — Google review
It was really cool and amazed how big it was. I am 6'5 and took pictures with it to make me look like a bug.

Really had fun. Food great.

The Tulsa Driller has been an Icon statue built in the 1950s I believe! Story has it my Grandpa painted it just in the Nick of Time! No pun intended or maybe there was! We were there going to the Tulsa State Fair to get some good fair food which was good but pricey like everything is these days! I hope you enjoy my photos and make my dream come true and give them all a like please!!!! Thank You for looking!

The Woody Guthrie Center, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is a museum dedicated to the life and legacy of the renowned folk singer Woody Guthrie. It houses original handwritten lyrics of his famous song 'This Land is Your Land' and features the Woody Guthrie Archives containing his writings, art, and songs. The center also provides information about the Dust Bowl era and regional history displays. Visitors can engage with interactive exhibits such as a lyric-writing station and a listening station.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ We had an amazing experience at the Woody Guthrie Center today, thanks to a phenomenal tour led by Sam Flowers. He brought the stories of Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan to life with such charisma, passion, and depth. His knowledge about their relationship, musical legacy, and contributions to the film The Complete Unknown was incredible. Sam is a gifted storyteller and a powerful speaker—we were completely captivated from start to finish. If you have the chance to take a tour with him, do it. This was one of the highlights of our visit!
Jessi B — Google review
Sam is absolutely the best! The monolog he delivered prior to the Woody Guthrie movie was exceptional! He was so friendly and full of history and resources. The Center has so much to engage with. Interactive stations, poetry, sketches. Brother Guthrie would definitely not be happy with the choices and treatment of humanity that is occurring in our nation. We were also blessed to catch the Hip Hop America-The Mix-Tape Exhibit. When I tell you!!!!! This one is for the culture. A beautiful beautiful space to celebrate fashion, music icons and Black women! Also, so nostalgic listening to beats and bopping my head! The history and stories in the lyrics of rap music. Seeing our icons; Tupac's & Biggie's clothing and Lil Wayne's writings. Such a special addition to the center.
Jessica W — Google review
I had first learned about Woody while watching A Complete Unknown and expected to have a good time here! But it ended up being even more incredible than I imagined. Woody’s legacy is one worthy of preserving and is well preserved here. I loved how they used his drawings and the inclusion of the hip-hop exhibit. Very friendly staff and beautiful exhibits! Adored the movie props, too.
Madeline — Google review
Must go to in Tulsa!!!! This museum was one of the most engaging, interactive and educational that I have been to. Sam greets you at the front with a smile and welcome. You definitely need 2 hours to get through everything, even though it does not look large, it is packed with great content about Guthrie’s life and era. Highly recommend.
Hannah R — Google review
We went here to check out the Hip Hop exhibit which I liked but if you are interested in Woody Guthrie you will love it! The information on the dust bowl was educational especially the VR part. It is right down town so tons of stuff to do in walking distance. We had to pay to park in the bank for$10 but it's close. Parking is limited downtown
Sharina P — Google review
It was great to learn more about Woody Guthrie. The Dust Bowl VR was awesome! He lived thru so much and wrote & sang all about it! A must do when in the area!
Irene E — Google review
Really enjoyed the museum! The staff were super enthusiastic and informative. Several interactive portions, including a VR recreation of the dust bowl. Gift shop was a little pricey, but it’s going to a good cause.
Amelia H — Google review
The Woody Guthrie Center was the highlight of our visit to Tulsa. The Center covers the life and work of Mr. Guthrie along with the history of the Oklahoma Dust Bowl and plight of those who went to California during the Great Depression. The museum features Mr. Guthrie's music (of course) as well as his writings and art. But the best part of our visit was Sam. Sam greeted us at the door, started the introductory movie for us, then met with us periodically during our visit to highlight certain exhibits. Without Sam, we would not have fully appreciated the meaning behind the works of Mr. Guthrie. Make sure to put on the virtual reality goggles and watch Black Sunday unfold before your eyes. Mr. Guthrie wrote "So Long, It's Been Good to Know Ya" about the Black Sunday dust storm. The Woody Guthrie Center is next door to the Bob Dillon Center, in the heart of Tulsa's Art District. Very highly recommend!

Gathering Place is a sprawling 66-acre riverfront park located along the Arkansas River in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Opened in 2018, it offers a wide range of attractions for both locals and tourists. The park features sports courts, a skate park, pedestrian and bicycle paths, various gardens, a beach area, and a pond where visitors can rent paddleboats, kayaks or canoes.
Can we talk about a PARK?! I have NEVER been to such a well-planned, beautiful, extensive, interactive park. There is so much to do for families, from water play, to sand, to engineering play, but it is not only done well from an experience level, but it is beautiful. The paths, the textures, the different levels, and the variations in the plants all show the time and dedication that was put into making this space so amazing. Restrooms are clean, many water fountains in each of the different spaces, and multiple opportunities for children to climb, slide, and run. Parking is ample, and close to the different spaces. Definitely would suggest bringing water bottles and quarters for the fish food dispensers, and sunblock. The splash pad suggests water shoes, we didn't have them, but if we went back I would bring them. Love this park!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nastassja W — Google review
Probably one of the best parks i have had the pleasure of going to. My husband and I have been meaning to go here for a while and decided to go this weekend. There was so many people but honestly the park is huge enough that it was still beautifully peaceful and you can find quiet areas to enjoy and see nature. There is so much to see and do at the gathering place and I love that you can kayak or paddleboat as well. I love the attention to detail in the seating areas and that you are encouraged to feed the fish with feed sites. We will absolutely be going again. Thank you for such a beautiful park I highly recommend it.
Bunnay B — Google review
We drove 5 hours to come spend some time with our kids at this amazing park and we loved it! The heat is brutal during the summer but they have a cooling area so you can continue your journey throughout the park. I recommend bringing lots of water and some snacks. There's so much to discover!
Nely R — Google review
I heard lots about this park when visiting the city, so I finally stopped by and wow, this place beat all expectations. By far one of the most impressive city parks with amazing design and tons recreation options. Definitely worth a visit, something for everyone here!

This place is fantastic. The fact that it us men made blows my mind. You can easily spent 4 hours here, kids will have a blast exploring, lots of space for picnic or walk your dog. They have a little cafe, kayak and boat rides. If this place is on your way- do yourself a favor and stop by.

We visited Gathering Place for the first time this past weekend and it was fantastic! The grounds are beautiful, the playground was exciting and unique, and everyone was really friendly. We were there on a Monday, so it wasn’t too busy, but a Saturday might be a little bit overwhelming. It’s clearly a popular place.
Christina B — Google review
The Gathering Place is a well-maintained and welcoming park. I enjoy bringing my niece here, as well as going for runs along the river and around the Zinc Pond. The staff does an excellent job keeping the park clean and safe, making it a comfortable environment for both families and solo visitors. It’s a beautiful and peaceful place to spend time outdoors.
Mallory F — Google review
The Gathering Place is truly a gem — an incredible park designed with all ages and abilities in mind. From sandy playgrounds to unique swings and towering slides, every inch of this space is thoughtfully created to spark joy, imagination, and adventure. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend an entire day and still not see everything. We brought a toddler, a wagon, plenty of snacks, and drinks — and we’re so glad we did! The park is massive and full of surprises around every corner. It was incredibly hot when we visited, so we’re already planning to come back in the fall to explore the areas we didn’t get to this time. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, make sure the Gathering Place is on your list. It’s a must-see destination for families, nature lovers, and anyone who enjoys beautiful outdoor spaces.

The museum showcases vintage aircraft, interactive exhibits, and a cutting-edge planetarium that offers captivating 3D experiences. From exploring the evolution of flight to simulating space missions, there are activities for all ages. Guests can sit in a F-14A Tomcat fighter jet cockpit, test their piloting skills with realistic simulators, and even operate robotic arms like astronauts.
Great experience here! Jack was sweet, all employees were incredibly kind and signs were very detailed and some repetitive in a helpful way. I do believe the planetarium needs to have a rule about removing people who are being overly loud, however. I chose to walk out of my time there because of a family who couldn’t keep their kiddos from disturbing the experience. I think if they had been told to take a second out in the lobby to gather their bearings it would’ve been fine, but they talked the whole time, kicked my seat, and even yelled repeatedly. Couldn’t hear the presenter, so I went back through the museum and got more pictures!

The website is user friendly, easy to purchase tickets. Small museum with a big punch, lots of hands on activities for all ages. Outside playground and great exhibits where you can get up close. Highly recommend

Went for the first time, and it was pretty cool. There are so many cool different things to see and facts to read about. 2 stories in the museum itself. They have planes, helicopters, interactive setups, and games for kids. There is also a playground and an airplane you can board. The planetarium show was awesome, and I would love to see all of the shows. Definitely recommend it, and it's pretty cheap admission.

Place is great!! Our visit was very nice and fun, the entire place is super cool and interesting!! You can buy tickets online and they will find them at the time of arrival, no delay and very easy. Our visit was ruined at the end though, the gift shop has a lot of items and some are mismarked. Unfortunately while checking out, end price was way higher than marked so we asked about some item costs and explained that the tag said differently, Rita then became very unpleasant, a bit too aggressive and raising her voice. maybe only towards Hispanics? Since other customers there were just treated differently, No idea. Very sad to experience such attitude and getting yelled at by the exit door for no reason really.

Small air and space museum but an awesome place to visit. Lots of amazing aircrafts to see. The Planetarium was enjoyable. Well worth visiting while in Tulsa

They lock the doors as soon as the show starts even when no one is in there. We came for nothing. The guy that let us know seems very condescending saying awwww. We enjoyed the Oklahoma aquarium though

This place is awesome! I would consider it a mini version of the Dayton International Air Museum. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A nice gift shop. Great fighter jet, NASA, and Tuskegee airmen displays. Also features commercial airliner, jet you can it in, playground, and a Planetarium. Definitely worth a visit if in the Tulsa area.

We spent the day at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum, and it was truly out of this world! From the moment we arrived, Taylor greeted us warmly and let us know about all the amazing things we could experience — from the indoor and outdoor exhibits to the planetarium shows. Of course, we said “yes” to everything! One of the highlights was meeting Larry, a passionate volunteer who showed us an impressive 18-cylinder engine. He took the time to explain how it works, which was fascinating and really brought the history of aviation to life. The museum also has plenty of interactive exhibits and flight simulators, making it a hands-on experience where you actually feel like you’re learning something new. We capped off our visit with the noon planetarium show, and it was incredible! Jack guided us through the stars visible in the night sky and explained how they formed, turning complex science into an awe-inspiring experience. It was one of our favorite parts of the day. If you’re looking for an engaging, educational, and fun adventure for all ages, this museum is a must-visit!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Tulsa, the Tulsa Performing Arts Center (TPAC) stands as a beacon of cultural richness and artistic expression. Since its inception in 1977, this remarkable venue has become a hub for creativity, featuring an impressive array of performances that span dance, theater, music, and more. With four distinct theaters and an art gallery within its walls, TPAC is dedicated to showcasing both local talent and renowned visiting artists.
Last night I went to see Back To The Future the Musical . This is a beautiful venue for a concert / show. Staff are so friendly , and exit signs are everywhere. With a 2,396 capacity, the atmosphere is electric , with excellent seating in all areas and plenty of room between seats. Sound was outstanding , with two banks of speakers , with 8 speakers a side coupled with two bass bins . Crisp and clear all night. The only downside in an excellent show was the infiltration of liberalism and wokeness into a classic story that certainly didn’t need it at all. There was a whole song dedicated to the “ dreamers” , with reference to illegal immigration, a reference to President Trump for 2020, and most aggravating of all, a reference to white trash , which , strangely , the audience laughed at. I’m surprised the production company didn’t bring LGB into it. Still , most touring companies are gay and from NY or LA , so no real surprise to hear it , but it put a big dent in what could have been a 5 star performance. Band was excellent for a 5 piece , and the visuals were out of this world , particularly near the end. I recommend the PAC as one of the best venues in Oklahoma , if not the South. Tulsa should be proud of it , in a good way .

Fantastic shows, with nice comfortable seats. My only complaints are the lack of restrooms (especially for women) that makes it impossible not to miss some of the show. 15 minutes intermission is not enough time for the limited facilities. The sound system is adequate but really needs an upgrade for full enjoyment of the performances.

Beautiful facility, easy to travel with easy parking. Had excellent entertainment listening to the orchestra do the live Harry Potter music event this evening! Would recommend.

Had a great time! I’ve been here a few years ago for Hamilton and came back for Wicked. I will definitely be coming back again if there’s another musical I’m interested in! Be careful of the themed drinks though, there were no prices on these sign for these and you have to buy the $6 souvenir cup to bring it into the theater. Got expensive very quickly. Also, if you are someone with GI or bladder issues, make sure to account for that as intermission is short and there are VERY few bathrooms and the line to the women’s bathroom gets long FAST.
Jeri — Google review
I only give the pac a 3 because it is old and is going to be remodeled. When it is redone, I'm sure it will be a 5. The staff, concessions and quality of the shows are definitely a 5. The acoustics are good and the ability to have a good view of the performance is also good. In the meantime we have to suffer through not enough restrooms and the poorly designed seating
Renee H — Google review
Great venue. Always enjoy shows at the PAC. I’ve sat in all areas of the orchestra section and never had a bad seat. The only thing that keeps me from giving them 5stars is their ridiculous ticketing system. It’s a challenge and the city deserves better from the TPAC.

We came here for the Ragtime play, and what a hit! The whole family loved it and the tickets were reasonably priced. The parking lot was a nice option and the seats were relatively comfortable. It was a little disappointing that there were no inexpensive water options.

They always have great seasonal events and art installations throughout the garden. If you are feeling inspired by the beauty of the garden, stop by the gift shop to take home some seeds or plants of your own! Oh, and if you are lucky, you might spot the garden cat! 🐈‍⬛️

If I could leave a 4 1/2, I would. I really like this venue; it isn’t downtown, they have enough parking for larger events (Christmas), there is room to grow, and they have awesome things for kids (botanically speaking). I’d line more signage. They have a great interactive site but I come here to get away from the technology!

The Outsiders House Museum is a modest white house in Tulsa that served as the Curtis Brothers' home in the 1983 movie 'The Outsiders.' Danny Boy O'Connor, co-founder of House of Pain, purchased and restored the house to create a museum dedicated to the film. The museum features costumes, posters, furniture, and other memorabilia from the movie.
We literally drove to Oklahoma just for The Outsider's House. My daughter is obsessed! I grew up in the 80's, so I was also excited to see the original house & filming locations. Everything exceeded our expectations & I have to say that all of the employees who gave us a tour & in the gift shop...were amazing! They were friendly & treated us so special! Thank you Donnie, Walter, and everyone we met! We will definitely return! ❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely loved the house/ museum! The entrance is in the back. You purchase tickets in the gift shop / the old garage. Each room has memorabilia from the film. One wall is covered in the cast's autographs. Totally recommend if you're a fan of the movie. Also drop by the old movie theater for a selfie.

If The Outsiders book or movie is of interest, the many movie scene locations will be of interest, especially the movie house museum at 731 N. St. Lewis Ave. Tulsa Oklahoma. It is loaded with movie photos, props, and still looks as if Darry, Soda pop or Pony boy could walk in the front door any moment. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the gift shop is well stocked with many great movie trinkets and clothing items. The museum brings the movie to life. Well worth the time to see this interesting location from the movie.

Very cool displays of movie memorabilia inside the house. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and super friendly. Museum store offers everything. The park (rumble scene) was only a couple blocks away. I got excited as we turned the corner and I saw the actual house! It took me back to the movie and so many scenes rushed through my head. Heads up: $10 admission per person. Pay in the Gift Shop Bucket list item #604 ✓

I looked up things to do in Tulsa and this showed up. I watched the movie not to long ago but have not read the book. The entrance fee was $10, which was pretty reasonable. They kept the rooms used in the movie exactly as it was, the living room, the kitchen, Ponyboy's room, and possibly the bathroom. They had the chocokate cake and beer Emilio Estevez' character had for breakfast. There were 3 items worn by the cast: Tommy Howell's purplish sleeveless shirt, Emilio Estevez' Micky mouse shirt, and Tom Cruise's rumble denim outfit. Interesting facts: 1) Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Emilio Estevez and Diane Lane of the main casts had not been back to this place. 2)The green towel hanging in the bathroom is signed by Rob Lowe for some fund raising the museum did. He signed several and the museum kept one. It's similar to the towel he used in the movie. and 3) Tommy Howell is active in helping the museum and the community. Definitely not a waste of $10 (plus whatever souvenir you pick up). #staygold

The Outsiders is one of my favorite books...EVER. So when we were in Tulsa for a few days to see a show, I told my husband we had to stop by the Outsiders House Museum. It's the very home the movie was filmed at and the park that quite a few scenes were also filmed at is just down the way from it. The house is filled with memorabilia from the cast and crew. They even bring in local artists or folks who used to live in the area when the movie was being filmed to talk about the whole process of them filming on location, etc. The home sits in a very old neighborhood but there's quite a bit of street parking for the museum so we didn't have any issues. Highly recommend stopping by here if you're a fan of the story. It's super cool to actually walk around the home/property that was an actual movie set!

I try to visit every time I'm in the area for work. The tour guides are friendly and knowledgeable, and you can feel the love they have for The Outsiders and S.E Hinton overall. The gift shop has some amazing and iconic merchandise such as shirts, caps, books, pins, patches, and stickers.

Located in Jenks, just across the river from Tulsa, the Oklahoma Aquarium offers an underwater adventure for families. With over 200 exhibits showcasing marine and aquatic animals from around the world, visitors can marvel at colorful displays and mysterious creatures. The aquarium features a gigantic shark tank tunnel with bull sharks, a touch tank with starfish and anemones, and opportunities to feed turtles, manta rays, and small sharks. A highlight of the visit is walking through an underwater tunnel surrounded by marine life.
Was well worth the $20 and took 2-3 hours to cover. Lots of beautiful jelly fish, turtles, sea horses in different shapes and colors, giant octopus, 1000s of various fish species, huge shark tank, unusual sea urchins. Beautiful coral. Outstanding! Cafe and carousel inside. Virtual documentary in movie chairs. Great day for kids and adults. We visited on a Thursday. Not crowded.
Renee W — Google review
This was my second trip to the Aquarium and I recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, interactive experience. On our first visit, we paid for the Behind the Scenes Shark Feeding Tour, which was a wonderful, educational experience. I would recommend this for older children and adults who are interested and engaged. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn fun and exciting factoids about the specific animals you're seeing. On today's visit, we had a 10-year-old with us, so we stuck to the "public" opportunities. These included free petting opportunities with several small "tide pools" and larger, timed opportunities to pet stingrays and jellyfish, as well as paid opportunities to feed turtles and stingrays. These exhibits were spaced out well to re-engage children who might be otherwise distracted. On a practical note, throughout the Aquarium were paper towels and hand sanitizer stations, especially around the more hands-on exhibits, there are benches and seating spread throughout for those who require or want frequent rest, and there are bathrooms at both ends of the Aquarium. There are clearly visible, easy-to-read signs throughout the Aquarium with information about the animals and plants on display, however, there are not many audio options. I would love to see an audio component somewhere in the future. Perhaps a QR Code that can be scanned for "guided tour" style information, that way people with learning disorders or who want more in-depth information can more easily access the information on the signs, even when there are lots of people in an exhibit and standing in front of the signs for longer periods is impractical. Over all, our experiences have been wonderful, and we will certainly be back. Highlights definitely worth checking out include: extremely active and playful otters, a shark tunnel, a large octopus, a large sea turtle, an electric eel with a voltage meter, and many more wonderful animals.

Our visit to the Oklahoma Aquarium in Tulsa was a delightful experience for the whole family! The place is well-organized and family-friendly, with plenty of exhibits to explore. The kids especially loved the shark tunnel — walking underneath massive sharks was thrilling and educational at the same time. We also enjoyed the touch tanks, where children could safely touch small sea creatures. The jellyfish and sea turtle exhibits were mesmerizing, and the staff did a great job answering questions and sharing fun facts about the animals. It’s easy to spend 2–3 hours here without feeling rushed. There’s also a nice gift shop and snack area for a quick break. The aquarium maintains a good balance between entertainment and education, making it a great stop for families visiting Tulsa. Overall, highly recommended for anyone looking for an enjoyable and educational day trip!

The Oklahoma Aquarium far exceeded my family’s expectations. Everything was clean, staff were super friendly, and there were so many things to see including hands on and feedings. We went on a Saturday early afternoon and although busy, all the other visitors were patient and respectful allowing others to enjoy everything. It was well worth the drive (1 hour 40 minutes) and the cost of admission. My kids and 10 and 16, my husband and I are in our young 40s, so the aquarium is enjoyable for all ages.
Melissa O — Google review
All of the kids and adults had a good time. We spent time looking at all the exhibits inside, kids rode the carousel, and played on the playground for awhile. In total, it took about 2 hours to do everything. The sea turtle and shark tunnel were favorites. Our only complaint is the price. It was $97 for 2 adults and 2 kids to get in.
Amber — Google review
A little pricey, but it was fun. There were several little areas the kids could pet star fish, sting rays, and other things. My kids loved the shark tunnel, but it gave me vertigo, hold the rail! Overall it was a fun experience

I went to see Paul McCartney at the BOK Center with a friend. I didn’t have any problems, even when I needed assistance getting to & from my seat in by the stage due to my injured knee. I had great service from the accessible services staff. My friend who sat in one of the upper 300 sections didn’t have the same experience though. She started having problems with her legs & back & needed to get up and walk & stretch. When she tried to go back to her seat, they wouldn’t let her as she’d left her area to go walk. So she had to find somewhere to sit outside of her seating area & listen to the concert and didn’t get to watch the majority of the show. Plus, they wouldn’t bring her a chair to sit on, even though they had brought one for me before I hobbled down to my reserved seat. So we had totally different experiences at the center. The sound wasn’t bad at the center, and Paul put on a great show-I am glad I was able to see him again. So I am giving 3 stars due to our different experiences at the same show.

The arena is clean, modern, and easy to navigate, with great seating and awesome views no matter where you sit. The energy in the building was electric — the crowd was into it from start to finish, and the game itself was a blast to watch. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the concessions were surprisingly good with plenty of options to choose from. Everything felt well-organized and safe, making it a fun night out from the moment I walked in. If you’re looking for an exciting night in Tulsa, catching a game or event at the BOK Center is absolutely worth it. Five stars all the way!

The Blue Whale of Catoosa is a famous roadside attraction located on Route 66 in Oklahoma. Built in 1972, this large whale sculpture sits in a small pond with a nearby picnic area. It has become an iconic landmark and a popular stop for travelers along the Mother Road. Despite not being technically inside Tulsa, it's just a short trip away from the city and is well worth the visit.
The Blue Whale of Catoosa is exactly the great sort of thing we seem to always find on Route 66. This is a fun place to stop, stretch your legs or rest in the shade. The lake was once used for swimming but now is more for view. They also offer decent restrooms and a shop.

Cute little place to visit. You can fish, but you can't swim (even though the whale has 2 sides into the water). I loved the tables and all the decorations.

Cute little roadside attraction. They have a small store and bathrooms. It’s a unique OK experience but unless you are fishing there is not much here. You can’t swim, the water looks pretty gross anyway. But you can feed the catfish and turtles! That was fun.

I was pleasantly surprised by how peaceful and pure this site is. I thought there would be an office and a gift shop, but it's a park with picnic tables and nothing much else. You don't pay to see it. I like that you're on your own. My brother said it's currently under construction, so they might be adding stuff like that, but I liked it in it's previous state. Really nice spot to enjoy the historic sculpture and fish and eat.

I've loved seeing the blue whale since I was a little kid. It's great to see it restored and maintained. Went back to Oklahoma to visit family and had to stop on the way back to the airport. Unfortunately, the gift shop was delayed opening, and I couldn't wait around, but my parents were able to stop by on the way back to get some pennies smashed for me. I was very excited about that addition, I'm a sticker for a penny squisher machine. Worth a stop to see a gem of 66 and stretch your legs out have a picnic.

The Cave House in Tulsa is a fascinating roadside attraction with a rich history. Originally built as a restaurant in the 1920s, it now serves as a residence and offers private tours led by the owners. The house's unique architecture, including curving stucco walls and underground tunnels, gives it an intriguing cave-like appearance. Visitors can explore its maze of rooms filled with collections and artifacts while learning about its captivating stories and historical significance.
Touring at The Cave House in Tulsa was an enchanting experience. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. The host, Linda, is not only full of fascinating historical knowledge, but also has a great sense of humor that makes the tour even more enjoyable. There's so much to explore inside the cave, and I’m sure even after spending an entire night there, I still wouldn’t be able to take in all the quirky details or ask all the questions I had. Every corner of the house has a story, but I’ll leave it to Linda to share those captivating tales. This truly is a must-see experience—something unique that you won't find anywhere.

I had the pleasure of taking a tour of the Cave House which was hosted by the property owner, Linda. Therapy structure, with all of its oddity and quirkiness, was a delight to discover. Linda added much value to the experience through her story telling. Linda’s stories took us back many decades, as early as the establishment of the building in 1924. This space is much more than a uniquely shaped structure and much more than a collection of items: it’s a shared human experience of warmth. From sitting underneath a key tree to sliding down a yellow children’s slide, to being provided many photographs that documented the history of this building, those were My favorite moments of this tour. Linda, thank you for your devotion to Tulsa and continue to help keep The Cave House an obscure, unforgettable experience!

Oh my gosh. The best tour ever! Linda is the best storyteller and historian I have ever had the privilege of seeing. Cave House is so so #1 to see from everywhere.
Valerie R — Google review
Great attraction we found listed on Atlas Obscura! Interesting tales of local folklore from the owner, in a most unique structure. We texted the owner, whose number is on the official webpage, and were able to schedule a tour for the following day. Just send her a nice pleasant text, and she will answer as soon as she's able (she does have a life outside of giving these tours!). So glad we made this stop on our quick first visit to Tulsa. Don't miss it!

Ms. Linda was an amazing host! She has done incredible research to bring The Cave House back to life. The place has amazing charm and a ton of great stories, which she tells in a fun and engaging way. We highly recommend visiting this house in Tulsa. You need to call her and make an appointment to ensure the house is open.
Ana M — Google review
Loved it. Linda is a delightful tour guide, and gifted storyteller. Don’t do too much research before going. The fun is in the surprises that the house contains. We took an afternoon tour. We will return for a morning visit when the season changes, to see the house with different ambient lighting and the current holiday decorations. Not ideal for those with mobility issues, as there are some steep stairs.
Tammi M — Google review
The Tulsa Cave House is a truly one of a kind architectural marvel and piece of local history, but the real five-star appeal is the owner, Linda! Her phenomenal storytelling brings the speakeasy's history and ghostly tales to life, making the entire tour a truly unforgettable experience.

The Tulsa Theater, formerly known as the Brady Theater, is a historic landmark in the heart of Tulsa. Built in 1914 and redesigned in 1930 and 1952, this spacious 4-story venue has been an integral part of the city's cultural scene. With a seating capacity of 2,800, it hosts a diverse range of events including rock concerts, Broadway shows, symphonies, and ballet performances.
We drove from Wichita and let me tell you, what a wonderful theater. It was easy to get in and out, which was great. The shape made for a good view no matter where you are. We chose the balcony, close to the stage, and we felt like we were right there. It's much better than anything in Wichita if you don't like to be in the pit.

Tulsa Theater Experience: Blue October Concert: Overall, my experience at Tulsa Theater for the Blue October concert was positive, offering a surprisingly personal connection between the artist and the crowd. Blue October's fans were truly passionate and added to the energetic atmosphere. While the concert was great, a few improvements could enhance the visitor experience. Upon entry, clearer signage would be beneficial. Perhaps a sign directing those without tickets to a dedicated purchase line, separate from lines for those who already have their tickets, would streamline the process. Inside, the seating was a bit cramped. More legroom would greatly improve comfort, and cup holders are a must-have. I noticed many empty cups simply left on the floor. Alternatively, ushers walking the aisles to collect trash at intervals could help keep the venue tidy. Currently, there doesn't seem to be substantial food service, which was fine for this event. However, if food options are considered for the future, simple items like pretzels or pizza would be excellent additions, especially given the presence of some intoxicated concert-goers. Despite these minor points, the intimate layout of the theater truly made for a memorable experience, fostering a great connection between Blue October and their dedicated fans.

Four stars for the staff, cleanliness, and security. The band was amazing. The sound is amazing. The seating and the lack of air conditioning and any air movement at all inside the auditorium completely ruins the vibe. Couple that with over priced drinks and it's just not my scene. I could deal with the drinks if the building wasn't trying to actively melt me. The staff was awesome and the security was great. It's literally just the building that's off. That being said, YOUR experience will not match mine. I highly recommend you experience it for yourself and decide. There are a lot of great shows coming up, and I'm sure that folks will have fun.
Mutt — Google review
The venue has ample parking and even though we had to stand outside in line to get in, we were moved through relatively quickly. I called and tried to find out if I could bring my empty plastic water bottle in but did not get an answer on that, however, nobody would have stopped me if i had it on my person. We sat in the very back row and we're still able to see really well. The seats were hard and old but I was still comfortable the whole time.

This place is perfect size for concerts! My friend and I saw Cage the Elephant band and had an awesome time. The security is good also they check bags and have metal detectors.

VERY much enjoyed the show. Jenny, the security guard was awesome too, really enjoyed meeting her! People like her are so welcome to us Newbies. Makes me excited to come back!!

I like the venue, sound is good, staff is friendly. Parking is plentiful, free on the street or 10 to 15 in lots. Last night was Dream Theater (progressive/metal rock). Good show with great musicians & a killer light show! Staff was busy enforcing a strict no photos/video policy.

Good clean venue. The sound was great. The walk from the hotel to the venue was a little sketchy though. I'll drive next time for sure. The seats were tiny, but we stood the entire time, so not a big deal.

Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mother Road Market is a vibrant food hall that pays homage to Route 66, offering an array of culinary delights and family-friendly entertainment. The market features a variety of food vendors serving everything from craft cocktails and street tacos to rotisserie platters and gourmet pizza. Visitors can also explore themed merchandise and enjoy activities such as Wine Down Wednesday at the Wel Bar.
Food was good, but maybe a smidge pricey. It is fantastic to have so many options in an air conditioned space. Really great for kids. We had pizza and burgers and a corn dog and ice cream, and it was very Tulsa and exactly what we wanted. The corn dog was huge and didn’t look like “normal,” if you will, but my 5-year-old still ate it all. The ice cream is a very generous serving and delicious. The indoor/outdoor space was relaxing even though it was hot. Nice clean restrooms.
Tiffany A — Google review
The atmosphere was incredible—there was so much to see and take in. With a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, we decided to grab some pizza from Zara’s, and it did not disappoint! The slices were huge and absolutely delicious. There were also a few charming little gift shops to browse through, adding to the fun. Out back, there’s a massive patio area complete with mini golf and bag toss, making it a great spot to hang out and unwind. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and unique experience. Just a heads-up: parking is a bit limited, so plan accordingly.
Matthew D — Google review
Mother Road Market is hands down one of the best places in Tulsa to take out-of-town visitors, friends, or family—especially when no one can agree on what to eat. The food hall setup makes it so easy: everyone can order from different kitchens, but still sit together at the same table and enjoy a meal. There’s a huge variety of choices, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. I’ve been here many times and worked my way through almost every vendor, but some of my personal favorites are Leroux’s, Nick’s BBQ, Zasa’s, Bodhi’s Bowl, SoBahn, and The Big Dipper. And I can’t forget Howdy Burger—the burgers and onion rings are a must! The Takeover Kitchens are an experience too. We love Kinneys Kitchen. But Mother Road Market isn’t just about food. You can also shop while you’re here. The new store, 66 & Sunny Trading Co., is full of the coolest Route 66 and Tulsa souvenirs, made-in-Oklahoma treats, and unique gifts you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re a local or a traveler, Mother Road Market is the perfect stop to eat, explore, and shop. A true Tulsa gem!
Bert P — Google review
If you’re in Tulsa and you can’t decide what you want to eat or do, come to Mother Road Market. This Market has almost EVERYTHING you could be craving, hence why me and my boyfriend ordered from 4 different locations! We simply couldn’t pass up the chance to not eat at so many options. We ordered Peanut Soup with Goat Meat and Fufu from the African Delights, a Dead Head Roll from Akira Sushi, the Bibimbap Bowl with Bulgogi from Sobahn 82, and of course two Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders from Chicken and the Wolf. We had a FEAST, and it was all so good. I especially loved the Dead Head Roll and the Chicken Tenders. The Dead Head was so savory, while the Tenders were incredibly spicy! The soup from African Delights was really good with the fufu, but the goat meat itself was a little more disappointing- it was incredibly tough to chew, and not as tender as my boyfriend recalled goat meat tasting(it was my first time trying it, and honestly it just tasted like pot roast from a crockpot but really tough). The bibimbap was good, but not mind-blowing. Still, we were able to experience a wide variety of flavors all in one place, and as foodies, there’s nothing more we could ask for! The bar here is also really good- I definitely recommend the Spicy Margarita.
Christina S — Google review
Came here for a girl's night and it was perfect. Food was great, the music was lively, and atmosphere was so fun. They a great variety of food stalls from a wide range of culture. I got Korean bimbimbap and jerk chicken wings.

A great space with free parking. Though it was packed so we parked in the overflow lot bc our truck had an extended cab. Many vendors with a wide variety of foods to enjoy! Walked about at first to check out the food others were eating. Outstanding juice bar with excellent juices and smoothies. I picked up three different kinds -- they are bottled and ready to go. Coconut or cashew based smoothies. One green juice as well as the charcoal activated "black water." $10/Each was very good. I would have them again. My friend decided to try the Korean place and ordered kimchi fried rice. I came with a small side of macaroni salad and pickled radish. Came to Fried Rice had some significant heat, as well you could choose tofu or pork belly and we went with pork belly. We enjoyed it. Also decided to have the house made cinnamon ginger dessert drink drink that was quite delicious. Traditional dessert after a meal.
Mari K — Google review
Really great food court with lots of of options. All the general seating was great whether you wanted to be inside or outside. The bar was also a nice touch. We went with a group and everybody got something different which worked perfect for us.
Chad D — Google review
Good - **** Have been here couple of times and the Chicken and Wolf is one of the best stores here. Love their Nashville chicken. If you love spicy chicken, try their “Hot”, otherwise mild/medium would be good if you want to taste the flavor along with heat. Their fries with comeback sauce is the best. The mother road market location is better than the 11th st when we consider the ambience.

Cain's Ballroom, a renowned dance hall and concert venue, has a rich history dating back to 1924. Originally serving as an automobile garage before transforming into a dancing academy and music venue, it is now considered one of the top performance venues globally. Notably, it played a significant role in popularizing western swing music. The rustic charm of Cain's Ballroom provides a unique experience for patrons, with its wooden dance floor having hosted numerous iconic musical performances over the years.
I recently attended a concert at Cain’s Ballroom, and it was an unforgettable experience. The venue’s rich history and vibrant atmosphere created the perfect setting for live music. Parking was conveniently located nearby, making arrival and departure hassle-free. Inside, the acoustics were excellent, and the staff ensured a smooth and enjoyable evening. If you’re in Tulsa and have the chance, don’t miss an event at this iconic venue!
Lady C — Google review
Over the years, Cain's has become my favorite live music venue. There have been some incredibly memorable shows I have seen here. There is not a bad place in the house. Even at the back of the venue, sound and line of sight is great. Restrooms are spacious and clean. The bar is quick and comparably priced for any other venue of this kind. I'm not a giant fan of the balcony sight line. If you are looking to listen to a show; but not necessarily watch it, it would be great.
Sean C — Google review
Lovely venue to experience many types of shows. I went to see Joe Pera, and even with a packed house, the sound was top notch. It was really cool inside with the classic look of the building preserved. Such an iconic place. If your cold natured bring a light jacket it was cold with all the air conditioners. Check out there website for upcoming events. It was an amazing event and I will definitely be back.

It was easy in and out. Coming in, there were nice big open doors so we just walked up and security/check-in guys were fast and real simple. Didn’t get frisked. Just showed ticket and ID for drinks. Nice eating and bar area, easily accessible bathrooms with A MILLION stalls so I never had to wait, and it was clean and nice and fully lit in there with touchless sinks and paper towels!!! Stage looked nice and big. Music sounded great. The bass drops were DEEP and made the hairs on your arms vibrate like you were getting the chills!! Merch area was easily lol accessible and leaving was super easy. Didn’t have to push or have people up on me or close to me. We thought the turnout was pretty darn big. More than I expected, yet walking around and getting where we need to go was always easy. Parking was FREE across the street ish, however the ground you drive on is hella lumpy like you could get stuck or mess up your car a bit not driving on it in a smart way to avoid dips. That’s the one downside but we ended up having no issues. Location is RIGHT off the highway so it’s simple to get to and the location is easily accessible. However it’s a downtown area so there aren’t your typical restaurants, fast food, or gas stations around. So that’s not fun. Gotta drive to those and find them because they’re out of sight. Pyrotechnics were cool. Probably from the bands set up but there was plenty of space for it and it worked. State lights seemed good although we couldn’t see the singer much. Didn’t seem to be a spotlight on here like I expected. Couldn’t see too much of the band either because the stage was fairly dark. But maybe this is normal. I don’t go to concerts much. Smartphone recording was never shamed or frowned upon. Anyway, that’s about it. See ya.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars: Cain's Ballroom is Pure, Unforgettable Music History Review Title: The Soul of Music, Then and Now: An Unforgettable Night with U2 Cain's Ballroom will forever hold a special place in my heart, and it is, without a doubt, one of the best venues in the entire country. I give it a resounding five-star rating because of its unmatched combination of intimate atmosphere and world-class history. I've been lucky enough to see multiple legends grace this stage, but nothing compares to the night I witnessed Bono and The Edge return to accept the Woody Guthrie Prize. The broken-down, intimate performance and conversation as they accepted the award was a moment of instant brilliance and the single best music performance I have ever seen.
Joshua W — Google review

What a cute place. Drove in for a concert from central Missouri and I was impressed with the location. Only down fall was if you go for a concert and you want merch (and you want to get it before your size/favorite sells out) you have to lug it around..since there’s no re entry. Other than that inconvenience was a decent place.
Mandi O — Google review
A historical happening concert venue for all genres of music. Reasonably priced drinks and tasty barbecue. There is limited seating, so usually standing room only. Interesting history: The venue played a prominent role in the development of western swing in the 1930s and 1940s, when Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys broadcast a near-daily show and performed live weekly. Leon Russell and his band (along with JJ Cale, Elvin Bishop, and other musicians became known for the Tulsa sound) were regularly booked at Cain's when it was owned by Larry Shaeffer.

Tucked away in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Center of the Universe is a peculiar attraction that baffles visitors with its mysterious acoustic phenomenon. Located at 1 S Boston Ave, this unassuming concrete circle on a pedestrian walkway creates an unusual echo effect when you speak or make noises while standing on it. The sounds bounce off the encircling benches and return much louder to the person standing within the circle, while those outside hear nothing.
Interesting, but Not a Must-See While the Center of the Universe and the Artificial Cloud in Tulsa might not be essential stops for every visitor, they’re definitely worth checking out if you have the time. The spot itself is intriguing, especially with the theory behind the Artificial Cloud. When we visited, a local artist was creating a piece nearby and shared some additional insights about it, which added a cool, personal touch to the experience. Overall, it's a neat and quirky attraction if you're into unique, offbeat spots.
Kelly R — Google review
Under Construction but you can get to the Center of the Universe. Not completely blocked. The sound of your voice echoes. Anyone standing in the circle can hear the echo. I was unprepared for the sound. It was GREAT.
Charlotte T — Google review
Unfortunately it was under construction, and not a construction person in site. However there were no extreme dangers here in my option. Circle was gone, and Parking was $6 dollars for 20minutes. However it still was an experience. Found where the circle was/is. Hearing the echos of our own voice was crazy.
T W — Google review
I think this is a a very cool place with lots of potential to be a fun tourist attraction, but now its all torn up! The circle of brick pavers that was around it is now gone and its like standing in gravel. Its definitely not pretty. But the echo is still there. I hope it gets redone or fixed.
Mandy W — Google review
I didn’t go up to the center all the way to hear my echo because there were a few parties waiting, but I didn’t really care to once I saw it either. A lot of hype about this “attraction” but it was uneventful and not interesting in the slightest. I will say the area it was located at was really cool. Just down the street was the Tulsa Arts District which had really great restaurants and an awesome museum (Woody Guthrie Center).
Kelli M — Google review
When you stand in the circle, turn around slowly as your talking and your voice's sound waves will shift. Very interesting 🤔
Rhonda S — Google review
If you came just to stand in the circle to speak and hear your own echo, it's nice and it works. Other than that, it's not clearly marked for its uniqueness. We had to ask others who were there to explain what to do. I hope they put some signage on there to help visitors. Or maybe I simply missed it. There is a tall statue nearby and free parking is available, but with limited spaces. You may have to drive around a bit to find an open space.
Francisco L — Google review
It must be under repair, as all the bricks were pulled out and construction is all over the area. Still hear the echo, though.

Tally's Good Food Café is a classic diner located along the iconic Route 66, offering a wide range of comfort food and daily specials. One of its most famous dishes is the chicken-fried steak, a beloved Oklahoma comfort food that's prepared with tenderized chicken, seasoned breading, and topped with creamy gravy. The café boasts a retro 1950s ambiance and serves generous portions of unpretentious home-style recipes.
You can't go wrong with a classic retro breakfast diner. I love Tallys. It's a great place to get breakfast all day. I've eaten here several times, and only ever had one bad experience here, and I blame it entirely on the server being inattentive. The food is good, served fast, reasonably priced, and the service is quick and efficient. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

We discovered 2 locations while visiting the Tula area, and being a lover of old diners PLUS one being on Route 66, we were ecstatic!!! But, we weren’t happy. The service was mediocre at best, which surprised us, and they seemed really understaffed for weekday lunch rush. Hubby ordered their ‘famous burger and fries’,and I had a shake and Monte Cristo and fries. Hubby would give his meal a 7, and I’d rate my meal as a 3. I’ve had Monte Cristo’s around the country and this one was incredibly raw, like it was cooked too fast. We both really enjoyed the fries, however they were luke warm at best, and my shake seemed to be missing ice cream and lacked strawberry flavor. (Shake was $6 for 10 ozs. We truly enjoyed the ambiance, but we wouldn’t go back. We did buy 2 t-shirts while there, but the $80 total ticket price seemed beyond excessive - especially with the food issues. We might’ve complained, but the staff didn’t seem to care to check on us. Beyond disappointing!! I hope others have better experience than we did.

Waffle was soft yet firm on the edges like it should be, chicken was good, a little on the extra crispy for me...lol.....but over all the meal was delicious and we didn't feel rushed even though they were very busy.... Oh my goodness... History is an amazing thing.. I can't believe the suffering and death of so many innocent people, just because of who they are.. I didn't get a chance to go into the museum. It was closed today. But the park around it is beautiful. Moses was buried in a valley. When I walked through the park, I couldn't help to think about that. I went inside the main office to ask a question. And ended up talking with a Guy who worked there. He was very informative about so many events in the human world. Thank you, Charlie for your time.

I took a group of 31 teenagers last week through the museum. I can’t stop talking about not only the hospitality of the staff, but also the accommodations they made for our large group. Those things coupled with such amazing exhibits, it may very well be my favorite museum at this time. Definitely worth the visit.

I was joyfully surprised to find that the Sherwin Museum of Jewish Art is as rich in Jewish culture as Oklahoma is rich in oil. A beautiful refuge of Jewish history and the Jewish people. Between the Holocaust exhibit, Purim mask contest, and Jewish life exhibits, anyone can learn so much about what is is like to be Jewish and what it has been like to be Jewish. I highly recommend this museum to anyone in the area that has not already been

Really awesome venue my son played over there with Memorial high school and we had a really great jazz session the audio was good the environment was good pretty cool location in downtown Oklahoma. My husband and I were married at the Jazz Hall of Fame on 9-8-12. We had the ceremony outside at the center of the universe and then the reception inside. It was amazing! We had the building the entire day and Jason worked with me and all of our vendors to insure everything went smoothly. For the same price you get about 6 hours at other venues you get this one all day. You can bring your own vendors in which was important to us. Our wedding was beyond fabulous. It is for such a great cause as well. It really is win-win. You should defintely consider this for your wedding! Thanks Stephanie Lee Orr

We were married this spring at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame, and I highly recommend the venue. Preferring an outdoor ceremony, Jason made sure we were all set up in front of the grand entrance – marking our union as the first wedding to ever be held outdoors at the venue. The house big band orchestra performed during the reception, and we enjoyed dancing for hours to wonderful music. Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame is a Tulsa gem that does not receive the recognition it so greatly deserves. Jason went great strides to ensure our Big Day was nothing short of perfect.
Aimee R — Google review
We utilized this venue for our wedding reception on 4/26/14, and were beyond pleased. My new wife and I live in Oklahoma City, and Jason (Jazz Hall CEO) was instrumental in the event going smoothly, making himself available and flexible for our needs, questions, and requests. He was a pleasure to work with, allowing for delivery of items the night prior, and the entire day-of for decoration and preparation. We were allowed to bring our own alcohol, and had free-selection of licensed vendors for catering/dj, etc. If you select the Jazz Depot for your event, you will not be disappointed with the level of service and flexibility provided by the venue. As for the facility itself, this location is an art-deco train station, which has been restored/maintained beautifully. This venue will not disappoint by any means. The compliments received on the beauty of the venue from guests were numerous, and attests to the beauty of the structure inside and out.

This venue celebrates the Jazz culture in Tulsa. Very nice establishment with great service that brings a diverse group of people together. It is free to get in on Tuesday. It is an free open bar, but they do ask that you provide a donation. Not literally, but you should give donation. It is located at the heart of the center of the universe and definitely worth experiencing if you are in town during the week for business.

Immerse yourself in the rich history of music at the Bob Dylan Center, located in Tulsa. Acquired by GKFF and The University of Tulsa, this archive is a treasure trove for fans of Bob Dylan, showcasing over 6,000 items spanning nearly 60 years of his career. From handwritten manuscripts and unreleased recordings to personal effects and artwork, the center offers an exclusive look into the iconic artist's life.
Amazing place. If you're a fan of Bob Dylan, you will have no problem spending all day here. Your ticket is good for the day. You can go have some lunch and then come back inside. Wonderful stories about the legend of this man.

An incredibly thoughtful, insightful, and inspiring space. Many windows into a legend's creative process along with interesting memorabilia and historical information. Does a great job of integrating both the person and the music of Bob Dylan while illustrating his massive cultural impact and creative legacy.

Hands down, this is one of The Best museums I have ever been too! It was great to learn so much more about Bob Dylan. Definitely go to this Center!

Unlike the less comprehensive Guthrie Center, the Bob Dylan Center is a wonderful museum to America’s greatest songwriter. There is so much here. You will need hours and hours to do it justice but also can learn so much in a little time. Also please hookup with Sam, a great manager who cares so much and is so helpful, friendly and loved this material! That’s Sam, pictured.

This museum and archive has a lot to offer both the devoted Dylanologist and neophyte alike. The main exhibition gives a helpful introduction to his background, influences and the many phases of his career as a musician and cultural icon. My wife and I were also able to check out the new temporary exhibit that focuses on his Newport Folk Fest performance in 1965, which I felt did an excellent job of communicating through curated artifacts and accompanying text the significance of that event not only in the context of Dylan’s burgeoning career and mythos, but also as it contributed to the now widespread perception of rock and roll as a serious art form (which of course it always was). Bravo to Bob and all those who work hard to bring this great programming to Tulsa and the entire region!

This was an absolutely incredible experience for someone who loves Bob Dylan. I was there for 7 1/2 hours and could have stayed longer. I do know so much about him already, so I wasn’t looking for new facts and information. What I got was a beautiful experience of being completely immersed in his music, photos, videos and memorabilia. The headsets are an awesome addition, beautifully working with each exhibit. I honestly was glad to visit solo because it is the kind of place to just lose yourself and not worry about whether other members of your party are getting ready to move on. I traveled from Buffalo just to visit this center and I am so happy that I did, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Highly recommended to anyone, but especially t my fellow Dylan lovers.

Wasn’t a massive Bob Dylan fan when I went. Went the day after the Paul McCartney concert on October 22nd. Was very impressed with the museum as a whole. Very well put together and loved all the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix references and exhibits. I am a guitar player and was floored seeing how many of his actual guitars he had. The going electric exhibit was really cool. Also loved how they took his hand written song lyrics and showed you his writing process on multiple great songs of his.

Nestled along the east bank of the Arkansas River, Cyrus Avery Centennial Plaza is a delightful tribute to the legendary Father of Route 66. This charming spot invites visitors to stroll across a scenic skybridge, where they can explore informative displays and capture stunning photos of the impressive East Meets West sculpture. This artwork symbolizes a historical moment when horse-drawn wagons and early automobiles shared space on an original narrow bridge over the river.
A beautiful 2-piece statue and pedestrian bridge commemorates a Route 66 bridge that used to lead to California. A must-see for Route 66 and American history enthusiasts. I think the statue is called "East Meets West". You can read about Cyrus Avery and the meaning of the statue. Go up close to the statue and walk around. There is a lot going on in the car and wagon. Very impressed with the statue.

I could tell Tulsa had spent a lot of time and money on creating this park, but have not maintained it or protected it. This park has great potential to be a beautiful central feature of the 2026 100 Year Celebration of Route 66. Pull it together, Tulsa!! Cyrus Avery deserves better than this.
Steve F — Google review
Nice site to stop at along Rt 66. So much history here. See the huge East meets west sculpture. Think of the symbolism it entails. Man on horse almost wrecks a man and his family in a comfortable car. RT 66 brought the country together.

I was gone for too long. Most happy to see Tulsa, made these kinds of redevelopment / investment into its past!
Nam N — Google review
This location is listed on the National Historic Register and is the Plaza to the Founder of and who is known as the 'Father of Route 66' its the Cyrus Avery Centennial Plaza, that holds 2 Bronze Sculptures in his Memory along with Flags flying high to represent the 8 States Route 66 runs through. It seems there used to be plaques on each podium that sits in front of each flag but they have been removed. This is located on what was the Original Route 66 that ran over the Arkansas River known as 11th Street Bridge, which has now been closed and renamed 'The Cyrus Avery Route 66 Memorial Bridge' in his honor. The bronze sculptures represent 'East meets West' and includes bronze sculptures of Cyrus Avery, his wife, daughter and the family dog. This Plaza offers a beautiful view of the Arkansas River. There's parking available up top the hill with a crosswalk bridge that allows you to get to the Plaza side with stairs. If someone is disabled or unable to go through the crosswalk then one can be dropped off curbside. There is NO ELEVATOR that'll take to the Plaza side. On the South end of the Plaza sits a Park that can be used for a Picnic or to get in a morning run, or just a stroll in the Park. The Park is pleasantly beautiful with many foliage trees (depending on season)and ducks are seen in the water. On the East end of the Park are Condominiums and Apartments that house local Residents from Oklahoma State University Center of Health Sciences. On the North end of the Plaza just behind the Flag poles is a Bicycle and Walking pathway trail that is fairly new and runs right by the Arkansas River. This Walkway is located underneath the Cyrus Avery Memorial Bridge. The work they put into creating these massive bronze sculptures is impeccable. This is surely a Historic location one should go see if ever in Tulsa, Oklahoma. How can one not, this is the reason there's a Route 66 to begin with it might be history but for Cyrus Avery his Legacy WILL live on Forever!!!
Lynda — Google review
What a simply beautiful set of sculptures! My son-in-law took us there as one of the sites that needed to be seen during our visit to Tulsa. It was cold, but thankfully we were the only ones there so we could explore up close. The detail on these things was beautiful. Check out the grill on the automobile for some roadkill. To be honest, I did not read any plaque so I have no idea what the statues were for Other than to represent the people of Oklahoma.

Very nice historic bridge on Rt. 66. The old bridge is closed but you can walk on the new road bridge as well as the walking trail to the other side to see the neon signs.

Nestled along Southwest Boulevard, the Route 66 Historical Village is a captivating open-air museum that beautifully narrates Tulsa's rich history in oil and transportation. Begin your adventure at the charming information center, designed to resemble a vintage Phillips 66 gas station from the iconic Mother Road era. A highlight of your visit will undoubtedly be the impressive 194-foot-tall oil derrick, which commemorates the momentous discovery of oil in Tulsa on June 25, 1901.
The Route 66 Historical Village is a nice collection of railroad, oil field and Route 66 memorabilia. The train depot serves as a venue for rent so the village is sometimes unattended. We were free to walk around and enjoy all of the displays on our own. A nice collection.
Louis E — Google review
Good photo opportunities. Kids loved the train and the staff inside the visitors center. Very friendly. We were greeted, had friendly conversation and kids were given post cards, stickers and magnets. Clean restrooms.

Nice little spot the train was super cool. Unfortunately the visitor center was closed while we were there but peeking through the windows. It was very vintage looking and really nice.. We did use the picnic area to make some dinner before heading off to our camp spot.
Michael S — Google review
The Route 66 village is a small tourist spot where you can take pictures, including one with a train. Parking is quite limited within the immediate area. However, if you drive a little further down, near the sign, you should find some additional parking spaces. If the red box event area happens to be empty and you're planning a short visit, you might be able to park there as well. Please note that besides the photo opportunities with the signs and the train, there aren't many other attractions. It's primarily a place for tourists to capture some memorable pictures.

Stopped by to check this place out and ended up not only getting some cool video and photos but we also met two of the greeters who made our visit more memorable! Only thing we would’ve liked that wasn’t there was posted info about each thing to look at (kinda like they do at museums) because we like to learn about what we’re seeing.

Discovery Lab is a fantastic spot for families with young children! It's packed with engaging, hands-on activities that keep little ones entertained and learning at the same time. We have been here several times, and usually, there is only one or two things out of order. During this visit, I lost count of the number of times I saw a "temporarily out of order" sign, so I started taking pictures. I was disappointed by the BMX bike addition, as it was pretty boring and some of the things were out of order. They removed one of my daughter's favorite things (the interactive sand exhibit) for a counter with bike parts on it, and you can pretend to repair a bike. She looked at the bike stuff for a couple of seconds, then moved on, wheras the sand exhibit kept her entertained for 10 minutes or more. I don't mean to only point out the negative things, there certainly was still enough to keep my child entertained. All the climbing stuff was in order. The tape slide is always a winner. Some of the little balls area was out of order but the parts still working were fun. I just feel disappointed that a lot was out of order, but we are, of course, still paying full price to get in ($14 per person). I feel like if this much is broken, buyers should get a discount. (Not that any place would ever do that) As the buyer we are just expected to get over it. That being said, our child still had a good time and was entertained for several hours, and we will be coming back again I just hope there are fewer "out of order" signs next time.
Nicole M — Google review
We had a great time! There was a bunch of kids from tps there but it wasn't an issue. My son loved seeing all the kids and they also have an area just for little kids. There's tons of stuff to do in this building. Anyone could easily make a day out of it. There is also the Gathering Place right next to it. So you could always go there to eat lunch and go back

So many adventures and safe things to do for your child. This place will help their young mind explore, adventure and nurture the creative juices every child has. Amazing place! Fun for everyone from babies through adults! I love that they change exhibits from time to time. The employees were disinfecting toys and handles and even the balls while we were there which was very reassuring. Love a clean and well maintained place! Easy to keep track of kids and lots of fun things to do for hours. Just joined as a member!!
Caroline W — Google review
This museum is one of the most interactive my family and I have been to! Every section is HANDS ON! The sections are themed, and my only suggestion is to have the instructions/ explanations read to the little ones. My 6 year old loved the ball space, and sorting the colored balls (shout out for using color-blind-friendly colors!!), and my 11 year old enjoyed the makers spaces where we could build and test different things, like a parachute and paper air planes. As a formed elementary educator, I really appreciated the cause and effect theme of most of the exhibits. Restrooms are clean, exhibits are clean, and there are a ton of different spaces, which helps to break up the busyness. At only 14$ a person, I really appreciated the cost and different opportunities.

This unique store offers an array of quirky and unusual items including t-shirts, toys, stickers, and souvenirs. Housed in a former gas station, the shop provides a fascinating shopping experience with its ever-changing selection of apparel, gifts, toys, and artwork.
Buck Atom's Cosmic Curios on Route 66 is a must-see roadside attraction. This 1950's style shop is the perfect place to grab a souvenir when passing through Tulsa or even for locals to purchase for themselves or to be given to friends and family as memorable gifts. I personally loved the Buck Atom plushy. Some things are a bit pricey, however, there are plenty of affordable items in the shop as well. The 21 foot tall muffler man, Space Cowboy, Buck Atom, provides the perfect photo opportunity and is an absolute must-see! There are also several other smaller statues to take photos with as well. Overall, Buck Atom's on Route 66 did not disappoint one bit. The lady working was super friendly and kind. There was plenty to look at and to take photos with. The Meadow Gold sign in Tulsa is a standout feature on the city's landscape, being the largest neon sign in the area. Its impressive size and unique design make it a distinctive landmark along historic Route 66. Erected in 1934, this iconic sign served as a nostalgic symbol of bygone days when milk deliveries were made to homes across America.

Woodward Park and Gardens is a 45-acre horticultural paradise located just three miles from downtown Tulsa. Established in the 1930s, it boasts immaculate botanical gardens featuring tea roses, colorful azaleas, and fresh herbs. The park offers a serene retreat with paved walking paths leading to tranquil gardens, lagoons, and rock gardens. Nestled in the Swan Lake area southeast of downtown, it provides a peaceful escape with its carefully sculpted landscapes and large trees.
Went inside the mansion (Open 9-4) and upstairs to a kind receptionist who directed us to a map of the grounds and encouraged us to visit the teaching center. Wonderful ideas at the teaching center for your own gardens and a place for small children to create, rest, learn. The staff is welcoming and the gardens are beautiful! It might be because of the very wet season, as we enter Summer but the Gardens are a bit on the underwhelming side. They have obviously lost a lot of their roses which is extremely sad. The magnolia tree is pretty spectacular this year but otherwise not a good season so far.

The flowers and park itself while not in bloom much, we're very nice and cool to explore. The reason for the 4 stars was the buildings and covered areas were disgusting and looked like a dumping area or a homeless camp. We went here for a picnic and it was too disgusting to set our food down.

Impactful missions work, interfaith relations, and community partnerships. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s architecturally gorgeous. I can’t say enough.

Beautiful architecture. If you are in Tulsa for the Art Deco buildings, this church is not to be missed. Unfortunately, we did not get to see the inside as it was closed. Guided tours are only available Sunday after the last service. But the outside was well worth the visit.

Beautiful church Downtown Tulsa is filled with beautiful art deco buildings, and this church is one of its most stunning pieces. Designed by Bruce Goff and Adah Robinson, the building’s exterior has a soaring, 15-story tower and numerous terracotta sculptures. Inside, the circular sanctuary is just as stunning, featuring the exposed pipes of a pipe organ along with a dome ceiling with stained glass at the center. Free guided tours are available Sundays at noon, and you can take a self-guided tour any time the building is open.

What a gorgeous building. I didn’t attended for a service but they were gracious enough to let our art class roam around and sketch the beautiful architecture. I’d love to visit and sketch again sometime.

Oxley Nature Center is an 800-acre park featuring diverse landscapes such as lowlands, wetlands, wooded lakes with islands, and oak woodland. Bird Creek borders the park and freshwater marshes are found within. The center is a hotspot for birdwatching with 270 species including Limpkin, woodpeckers, flycatchers, herons, egrets and warblers. It offers broad flat trails suitable for families to explore different terrains like grassy plains and forests.
When we pulled up, the parking lot was full. We saw one person across the pond going the other way. It was very clean, easy for beginner hiking like me. Saw lots of wildlife, found a gazebo for a quick lunch. We’ve been back a few times and always a fun time.

Great place for an easy hike. Tucked away in Mohawk Park past the Tulsa Zoo. I didn't go into the building so I could not speak about experience there. Some of the trails have poems along the path. Nice location to see a variety of birds. There are also a few places along the trail to relax and enjoy your surroundings. I highly recommend this trail. Be sure you use bug spray.

It is always fun to go with the kids and experience the nice trails in the different seasons! I've gone with my kids since they were little, they have really easy walking paths. The nature center is really fun and informative and everyone is always friendly. They have activities like scavenger hunts you can do when you hike too!
Rebecca — Google review
Such a wonderful nature center and place to walk around. Lots of different trails to take. You can see a pond, different plants and animals, fields - nice variety. We had a surprise tour! We learned in the summer there are free discovery walks Fridays 11am and 2pm and Sundays 2pm. Our guide was a lovely volunteer who was super knowledgeable about everything. (I forget her name unfortunately but she was fantastic!) The center even has walking sticks, first aid backpacks, and kids scavenger hunts to check out for free for your walk. The center has a nice bird watch station, and a few areas to learn about the native plants and animals. The terrain is pretty flat so easy to walk through with people of all ages - probably wheel chair accessible? I wasn’t paying a lot of attention for that but definitely not very rocky or treacherous

Wonderful place for families, Daycares, schools or just an outdoor outing. I brought my Daycare class here and we received great customer service with a fun learning experience and it’s Free!! Definitely worth the trip

This was my first visit to the Oxley Nature Center and I have to say, wow it’s amazing. If you enjoy the outdoors and walking/hiking trails this is your place to be when in Tulsa. It’s located within Mohawk Park nearby to the Zoo and Lake Yahola. Near the ramp which leads to the visitor center you can get a trail map, grab one of these because you might need it, there is so many trails. All the trails are well traveled and easy to stay on, at the beginning of a trail there was wooden signs telling the name of that particular one. We did the Bird Creek trail, coal creek trail and a few others while here. Everywhere was so beautiful. I recommend the bird creek trail because there is great views of the creek and a cool wooden bridge to walk across. There is also several small ponds here that some of the other trails pass by. There is a trail here for everybody. We saw so many butterflies while walking around but also many mosquitoes too. Most of the trails were wide enough you could avoid the grass but some were narrow and we brushed up against the grass. I only found one small tick on me after hiking but if you touch any grass or go off trail for some reason then be sure to check yourself for them. I recommend coming in the early morning to avoid the heat of the day and so you have lots of time to explore the visitor center if you want. We came in the late afternoon so the visitor center was closing soon unfortunately and we only got to spend maybe 20 minutes in there after we were done hiking. The visitor center is a must see in my opinion because the lady we met in there was a wealth of knowledge and kindness too. There is also many animal pelts on display and information about all kinds of animals and insects that are native to Oklahoma. There is public bathrooms available in the visitor center as well as water fountains. Overall, if you like the outdoors this place will not disappoint you. It truly is an urban oasis. My only complaint is you will hear aircraft from the nearby airport at times but I enjoy aircraft so that didn’t bother me. Just keep that in mind, it’s located next to a large city so you can’t completely escape those sounds. Have fun and don’t forget to grab one of those trail maps!
Nick W — Google review
Love this Nature Center and all the trails. Everything is marked clearly, with little notes along the trail as needed. There is an area with a tall drop off into the creek, as well as an observation deck over the pond. Very tranquil and the building has a lot to offer as well! The gift shop, learning center, and bees they keep there are the coolest!
Amanda F — Google review
When Covid hit my wife and abandoned the virus laden gym. We found a much better alternative, the trails at Oxley Nature Center. Well at least when the weather is cool enough, and the humidity low enough, that you can stand to be outside. Mostly October through April. There is a closed, isolated section of Mohawk Blvd. that lies within the boundaries of the preserve. It makes for a beautiful hard surfaced walking trail. In addition to the scenery, there is usually some wildlife. The area is great if you are into birding. There is a small lake that always has water fowl and it is not uncommon to see deer or hear an owl. This year’s drought has taken it toll. The lake and pond levels are lower and the trees have been punished. Noticeably quite a few trees didn’t survive. A great peaceful place to walk.

Nestled within the historic Philcade Building on South Boston Avenue, the Decopolis Tulsa Art Deco Museum is a charming boutique museum that pays homage to Tulsa's rich Art Deco heritage. This delightful mini-museum showcases an impressive array of exhibits that highlight the architectural and design marvels from the Art Deco era. Visitors can immerse themselves in stunning displays of fashion, interior design, and decorative arts while enjoying the unique ambiance created by its own Art Deco surroundings.
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G 😍 One of the most unique places I've EVER been. It's Hogwarts meets every child's wildest imagination all combined into one! The mini Art Deco Museum is just icing on the cake. So many themed alcoves to explore, read, look at, and flat-out want. From classical literature to candy to Lego sets to socks to toys and everything in-between there is something for everyone. The working and freely running mining water feature was a nice touch. I wish we would've had more time because there's so much to see. Definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ worthy!

One of the coolest places I've ever been. They have a partial museum inside which was really cool. The stuff they sell is really cool too. Perfect for Christmas, or birthday presents of all ages. They also have a whole section for candy that is usually hard to find, plus a crazy flavored soda area.
Francesca C — Google review
Visiting Decopolis in Tulsa was a delightfully whimsical experience. What starts off as a quirky shop transforms into a mini Art Deco museum filled with themed alcoves—think Harry Potter, sci-fi, fossils, vintage candy, Route 66 memorabilia—and every corner invites discovery. The staff did not welcome us into the store, and I appreciated that admission is free (though donations are accepted). While the space is smaller than one might expect, it’s densely packed with treasures and surprises. Whether you’re into architecture, nostalgia, or just browsing for something unusual, Decopolis is a must-stop.

What a beautiful, fun experience. If you are looking for a fun place to explore and shop, this is definitely the place. Everything here is unique in some way. You have puzzles, decor, legos, toys, fossils, socks, candies, soda, art, and antiques. The store itself is an art piece itself. You could come again and again and find something new.
Tammy J — Google review
Super cool place with lots of stuff to look at with picnic tables out front if you want to stop and have lunch before going inside and exploring the store a tiny bit smaller than I was expecting but packed so full with interesting things that I spent over two hours there looking at stuff and walking through the same areas multiple times
Taylor H — Google review
You could spend a lot of time in this shop and you still would not see everything. A small museum area, dedicated to Tulsa’s art, deco history, a wide variety of science toys, and educational materials, beautiful jewelry in art deco style, a set of small additions of classic books and a variety of other books,, kids, plush toys. Even the chance to pan for gold. Well, worth stopping to see.
SisterEdith B — Google review
Great spot to visit. Art, museum, shop and history. It's not a big place, but you probably can't see it all. Every inch is filled with something, in a good and fun way. And, there's a great art deco poster in the restroom too! April 2024.

This quaint establishment, located along the iconic Route 66, is far more than a simple nut store; it's a treasure trove of flavors and memories. Upon entering, I was instantly greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere, a place where traditional charm meets a delightful array of treats. The shelves are stocked with an impressive variety of nuts, from classic roasted peanuts to exotic flavored pecans, each more tempting than the last. But what truly sets The Nut House apart is the exceptional quality of their products, offering a taste experience that is both rich and satisfying. The heart and soul of The Nut House is undoubtedly Glenda, whose welcoming presence and extensive knowledge significantly enhance the shopping experience. Her friendly demeanor and eagerness to help make every visit memorable. Glenda's recommendations are spot-on, guiding customers through the myriad of choices with a personal touch that is rare in today's retail world. In addition to the delicious nuts, The Nut House also boasts an impressive selection of Route 66 souvenirs, making it a must-visit spot for those seeking to commemorate their journey along this historic highway. This little park seems like a fitting memorial to the tragic events of 1921. Reading the plaques around the sides gives perspective on the history, and the statues are a reminder of the times. The peaceful healing walkway and waterfall give a sense of calm for reflection.
K O — Google review
The construction of the John Hope Franklin reconciliation Park is a wonderful idea. If the idea was to create an environment within a cityscape to lead to talk, reflection and relaxation I think this park nails it. There are a number of plaques and statues that reminds everyone of what the reconciliation should be about. However the landscape, the seating and the open space certainly leads to one having meaningful conversations with others or just taking the time for thought and reflection

I love that Magic City gets to host so many great events. I don’t live close enough to attend, but it is nice they bring people to Oklahoma. I love their recommendations. I do agree though, with the comment below, that out of every bookstore I have been to, this one is the least friendly. I wasn’t greeted or acknowledged the 30-45 min I was in the store. I was by the cashier looking at signed books and I made comments to him, and he nodded, basically. He never asked if he could help me or any of the other people who came in the store while I was there. I have been to this one 3-4 times and I am not sure I have ever had a great experience (other than the selection). I love how they feature Oklahoma authors.

Great selection of books and other book-related memorabilia (shirts, bookmarks, themed pouches, stickers, etc.)! An even better sitting area in the back to begin to read/sort through all of your books. They do have bathrooms for customers and great friendly staff as well! If I lived in the area, I’d come here more often but this makes me wish we had a place like this [in Colorado Springs].

Fulfilling a birthday request. My daughter collects unique, regional/city themed, decorative, book bags and shopping bags (e.g., Trader Joe’s.) We fulfilled the request for a bag from Magic City Books. After a stroll through the shop, perusing the wonderful, enlightening, subject matter, I was unable to find a copy of this months “Guns and Ammo.” I surmised that this was not a book store for me. Oh hell, who am I trying to fool….I can’t read anyway…but I do like the pictures!

I took myself and two kids to the all ages "Smells Like Nirvana" show. This was a very entertaining band. It was nice to hear live Nirvana songs without them being absolutely butchered. The music was played at the perfect volume. It was a great experience for two first time concert goers. One of them even caught a band pick! The staff is very chill. ****No smoking venue!! 🤩

Great place to see a show. I've seen live bands and comedy here and it's always a good time. The bartenders and the rest of the staff are friendly, the venue is very accessible in the middle of the Tulsa Arts District. There are some benches around the edges if you need to sit down during a music act but they generally bring in chairs for comedy shows. I've seen plenty of amazing acts here over the last 3 years.

My first show there was on Sunday night. I went to see Houndmouth. The place is very dark, the way I like it. The staff was all very friendly. The drinks were price-point-friendly most venues price gouge. The D.J. was excellent and of course, the show was phenomenal and energy driven. The house was packed and the vibes were flowing. Keep in mind if you are going to see a show you will need to be prepared to park and pay. It's only $5.00. Looking forward to going back very soon. I forgot to mention they have a full bar and many beer choices. The venue is standing-only, and they do have a mezzanine if you don't want to be on the floor. I also saw a few tables built into the right side with seats.
