Mexican restaurant
Casa 46 is a luxurious restaurant situated in the heart of Mazatlan's historic district, offering an exceptional dining experience. The chef, Marino Maganda, continuously enhances the menu with unique appetizers, exotic salads and soups, and delightful desserts. The bar boasts an impressive array of spirits while the dining room showcases a floor-to-ceiling selection of wines.
Perfect from beginning to end! The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was amazing! We sat upstairs and overlooked the plaza. I had the duck carnitas enchiladas with mole sauce, and my husband had petroleros style shrimp. If I could have kicked the plate, I would have! I would definitely return!!!

Beautiful setting on a second story porch over the Plazuela Machado. We were here for dinner during Dios de los Muertos, thinking we would have a nice view of the parade, but that was not the case. Trees and distance made the view not great... But, the food and service was great and it is upscale, costs on par with fine American restaurants. Drinks were unique and delicious, a roasted tomato bisque was yummy. Chips and salsa was very good, but careful with the one in the green cup, muy caliente! Our dishes, the pollo in pink molle and shrinp in black squid ink were very good. Service was very professional, with two servers for each table. Reservations online required, we saw people get turned away for dinner service without a reservation.
John F — Google review
Great time and atmosphere. The hero of the meal was the guacamole and seafood appetizer. The duck enchiladas were dry and the sauce was over powering the flavor. The cheese cake was more like a pound cake.
Justin S — Google review
A beautiful setting, fantastic service. The food was great. Maybe not outstanding but the whole package made for a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this.
Tana E — Google review
Phenomenal! Booked a reservation for Casa 46 through our resort, Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay. With our all-inclusive package, we paid a small surcharge (350 pesos) which allowed us each an appetizer, main, and dessert - everything was delicious. Service was excellent and the setting was quaint. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant!
Makayla T — Google review
The waitress who introduced herself was Linda and was excellent, The atmosphere was subdued not overly loud, people actually got dressed up. The food was cooked well, presented well on the plate. The selection of Wines by the glass was not very extensive. A good selection of Sparkling / non Sparkling Water. This is not a cheap restaurant so be prepared. I Recommend this Restaurant. 👍
Richard — Google review
Excellent service, great food and lovely view. Simple things like salsa were more flavorful than what we've had in other places. Fine dining prices but totally worth it for a date night!!

By far the best experience we've had so far in Mazatlan. The wine selection was amazing, the service could not have been any better, and the food was fabulous!. View was very nice overlooking the square.

What a delightful spot! The food was top tier and the service was excellent. The beef was cooked perfectly and the duck risotto was phenomenal!
Geoff B — Google review
I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The food was incredible, I got the “Arm drip sandwich” and it was phenomenal, the meat was very tender, the bread was crispy, and the salad was perfect. The portion size and flavour is worth the price. I also had an “Old fashioned” bourbon cocktail and it was perfection in a glass. The service was very good, staff were very friendly, they spoke both english & spanish. The food did not take too long to arrive as well. The atmosphere and ambiance was very nice as well, quite classy. It was not noisy but we went during its off peak hours. My family had some other dishes and they were perfect as well. I definitely recommend coming to this restaurant for a good experience.
AlexC — Google review
Epic culinary discovery here at Hector’s! Yum yum! Best seasoned tender pork chop with a puréed sweet potato concoction on the planet, followed by the mesmerizing volcano chocolate fondant cake and ice cream. :) Great old-style building with an intimate ambiance and their service is stellar.
Mike B — Google review
What a delightful dining experience. They gave our family of 9 a nice space to enjoy and not talk over everyone in the place. The specialty cocktails, Mexican Mule, Wild Turkey Manhatten, were tasty and the meals were incredible, from the steaks with thin cut delectable fries, the Saffron risotto with Pork Shank and the mexi-spaghetti with prawns, had a nice spicy kick. I wound up ordering 3 Ham and cheese sandwiches for a tuna fishing trip. Also, the dessert, the chocolate cake with a toffee caramel sauce a la mode was bowl licking fantastic. Highly recommend.
Bryan S — Google review
Delicioso!! Excellent pork shank & tasty risotto. The filet was beautifully done. Potatoes were a touch dry but nothing the mushroom gravy couldn’t fix.
Jenny H — Google review
Excellent!! Five stars all the way. Great ambiance. Excellent margaritas. Tortellini was the best pasta dish I've ever had. Hubby loved his house made honey ham sandwich on a great bread. Service fantastic!!! We'll be back.

We spent a wonderful evening at Hector’s Bistro. The food and service were amazing and everyone had a great time. After our meal we went up to the patio for dessert and drinks and listened to Lola Parks perform. What a great entertainer. It was one of those magical nights and we would like to thank everyone at Hector’s and Lola for making it happen.

Located in the beautifull Old Mazatlan Center, this Bistro is an Oasis, smartly decorated and cozy at the same time, with frigid A/C to get a break from the heat. We had the pasta dishes which where full of flavour, served in a copious manner, with copious sauce and ingredients. Service was prompt and discreet, and desert was nice. Will come again!

Nice selection of starters, main course, liquor and wine and desserts. The wonton tuna was amazing, salmon and fish Al pastor fresh and tasty. The ham & mushroom pizza was delicious. Then of course gelato and salted caramel ice cream. Everything we had was delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Wonderful experience! Service, food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent! The tuna wontons were fantastic - I highly recommend.

Wow! Atmosphere, food and service was some of the best I have found in Mazatlan. Many of the patrons were older and appeared to be well off. Will be back!! I had shrimp tacos and creme brûlée. That Brûlée was fantastic!
Mark L — Google review
A friend brought us here on a whim and I'm so glad he did! Everything was top notch!

Service, location, and food are all great. Get the ahi tuna wonton tostada. All the tacos we had were also amazing, but the shrimp tacos won the day for us. Easily our favorite meal of the seven day trip.
Brandon H — Google review
Fantastic place. Mediterranean themed with great food and friendly helpful people. Had the Greek salad, salmon carpaccio and basil martini. Highly recommended.

Went here for my birthday. The Greek salad was lovely, my appetizer was amazing but the fish tacos were a little dry. Would eat here again, just not the fish tacos.
Veronica H — Google review
We had the TOMATO& AVOCADO TOWER ,drizzled with fresh herbs emulsion and a touch of balsamic glaze. Very GOOD. Also had the TUNA CARNITAS TOSTADAS that came with avocado, citrus, carrots, and chili ancho oil. Also very good. Really a 4.5 star restaurant. Unfortunately we never made it back there for dinner. I would highly recommend Angelina's Kitchen for any meal.

Hidden gem, wish we would have stopped here earlier in our stay. We both had the Hot ham and Cheese sandwich. Food was Hot, and generous portions. Will return again before our trip is over.

Great spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tacos, sandwiches or burgers, you can find it at Mary's for a great price! Our kids enjoyed the ice cream joint the most with cones at $49 pesos. Definitely recommend🤙🏽

Consistently great food. The Philly (add jalapeños) delicious flavor not super spicy. Crispy perfectly cooked fries. Honey mustard chicken sandwich really good also. Huge variety of salads

I went to try the new pizza. The toppings were good, but I wasn't fond of the crust. My salad was delicious.
Mar R — Google review
The food is absolutely dee-luscious, my favorite is Mary's Original hamburger, the fries are crispy outside with creamy potato inside, salads of all kinds are always made with fresh crisp ingredients. We not only love the food but Mary and Gabe are always up beat and friendly as is their staff. Great place. Thanks Mary, Gabe and staff.

Every time I go to Mazatlan I visit Mary's. The food and service are always great. The prices are very reasonable, however it is important to note they only accept cash [MEX$ or USD acceptable]. Everyone I've taken with me loves it as well. It's near plenty of shops and not too far from the beach. Great seating options both indoor & outdoor. Wonderful local business & often the owner is on-site.

Restaurant
La Casa Country is a Mexican restaurant with extensive steakhouse and vegetarian menus. The decor includes ranch themes and wood paneling, giving the restaurant an inviting feel. It offers validated parking, free wifi, and ample seating for large groups.
We had dinner here on arrival in Mazatlan at the recommendation of a local and the food, especially the carne asada, was so good, we came back again and had the Supreme Grill for 4 of us plus the filet mignon and steak fillet for the others. Also ordered the house guacamole and fried tripe and pork cheeks for starters. Everything was well flavored and my kids announced that this was the best steak house in Mazatlan.
Denise P — Google review
We enjoyed chicken fajitas. The service was great. We especially liked the way our server prepared our salsa at our table exactly to our liking.
Jim E — Google review
Greetings from the Pacific Pearl, Mazatlan! When I visit and I do frequently, seafood is my favorite cuisine to gorge on. It's everywhere here in the shrimp capital of the world. But after a few days, I have to mix in a steak or two to balance my taste buds. After my first visit to La Casa Country, I can assure you it won't be my last. After spending over 20+ years as a butcher, back in the day, I know my steak cuts well. For me and most people who eat beef, the Ribeye/prime rib is king. Medium is how I enjoy it best, and it was cooked to perfection. Jesus, the server, did an amazing job, and the entire staff was friendly and inviting, including the lot security guard. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the dining room was clean. I gave it a well-deserved 5 star rating!
Juanjohn B — Google review
We enjoyed our 18th wedding anniversary dinner here. The Negative: Poor accessibility. There is a very poor design for wheelchair users to access the restaurant. The "ramps" are too steep (and split into two) and requires the one pushing to have extraordinary muscles. An electric chair or scooter would not be able to ascend. Inside the restaurant, a wheelchair user can only sit in the entrance section, as it requires stairs to enter down into the main seating area. The table was not appropriate for a wheelchair, so the user is forced to sit an uncomfortable distance from the table. Fortunately, I was able to transfer to one of their chairs for the meal. The Positive: The food was good (not outstanding, but very tasty) and cooked perfectly. The salsa, which was made at the table, was delicious and the chips were fresh. Our server was attentive and friendly. We don't drink alcohol, but the iced tea was tasty and they do have Coke Light. We cannot afford this kind of expense more than once or twice a year on our budget, but this was well worth it. We are legal residents, so we hope someday to return for another meal.
Michael B — Google review
Lovely place and decor. Service was amazing. The food was excellent. I had the beef fajitas and will have enough for dinner tonight and my husband had the sirloin tacos! We will definitely be back!
Irela R — Google review
Such a great change of pace from all the ceviche and seafood we’ve consumed. It’s a solid meal/steak but any standard. My steak was cooked perfectly which is hit and miss even at a Flemings or Ruth Chris’. The quality of the cut was respectable. It is center of tourist district priced like everything else in the neighborhood. I recommend, at least if you need the change from what the region specializes in.
Uintasolitude12 — Google review
Isaac was a great waiter/host. Here they make the salsa tables ideas to your specifications on heat. They also serve other things table side such as the fried bananas. It's a great show the food is very good, not quite exceptional but it was the best and least tough steak we have had in Mexico. The 80s country music does eventually grate on the nerves a bit, but it is supposed to be a country steakhouse.
Michael K — Google review
The food at this place is very good. The staff was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed everything. It was delicious and everything was perfectly cooked. I like the exterior decoré, it gives a very nice vibe and a cozy atmosphere. As for value I think is a reasonable price with great value. Highly recommended this place.

Friends Diner, a Canadian-owned establishment that opened its doors in 2017, has quickly become a beloved spot for both locals and visitors. With two locations now, including the newly acquired Friends-Cerritos, this restaurant/bar is a haven for sports enthusiasts. The walls are adorned with an impressive collection of sports memorabilia, creating an energetic atmosphere perfect for catching games or participating in trivia nights.
My 5 stars are for the talent and the service we didn't eat, but watched the show. Everybody was having fun.
John Z — Google review
Our first visit to Friends Dinner was basically for the Beatles Tribute event they were having. While there we decided to have dinner. Meatloaf was average and lasagna which we wouldn't order again. The couple at our table had ribs which was served in a basket and didn't look like something I'd order. The waiter had a hard time understanding and couldn't answer any of our questions about the menu items ( maybe it was his 1st night working). Best thing about the night was the band.

We had Christmas dinner here during our vacation and it was just like eating back at home. If you are an expat or tourist looking for something familiar, this is the place. Wonderful staff and good location.

Went to see the band Los Cryps tribute to the Everly Brothers. Very good atmosphere. Very good food.
Yves B — Google review
This is a very sports-centric gringo bar if that's your thing. The whole place is covered in sports memorabilia and the servers speak great english. We played (and conquered) at trivia the night we visited so that takes over the entire restaurant if you happen to come on those nights. I tried the burger which was very wet and soft, not a nice charbroil, and the bun was out of proportion, so huge. But my husbands fish tacos were so damn delicious wow, I wish I had ordered that instead. Service was excellent and the bathrooms were clean.

Best comfort food in Mazatlan!! Their Canadian poutine, dry ribs and potato skins are soooo good! They also do special meals such as Thanksgiving turkey dinners. etc. Everything is home made and the servings are plentiful. Prices are reasonable. Plus they have some of the best servers in town! Very friendly atmosphere and great staff.

If you're looking for a vibrant dining experience in Mazatlán, look no further than Pinups Fun & Grill. Nestled in the bustling Golden Zone, this lively restaurant has been delighting visitors since late 2018 with its high-quality food and extensive drink menu. The atmosphere is electric, especially with live music gracing the stage from Wednesday to Sunday. Whether you’re indulging in their mouthwatering wings or savoring one of their famous burgers, every bite promises satisfaction.
Exceptional everything. Started with flavourful wings and a mango margarita made fresh. Dinner was served in a timely fashion, hot and delicious.Great neighborhood. Looking forward to our next visit.

Went to experience the live music on February 26. A table of 8 and they did everything to accommodate us. It was very nice. Drinks were quick. Majority of the table ordered burgers, everyone liked theirs. I ordered the Pinup Shrimp, very good portions. Flavorful. I personally did not like the amount of cream cheese. I felt it overpowered the other flavors, so I just scrapped it off. Bathrooms are clean. Definitely amazing staff and great location.

The only place on the main strip that has Bohemia Beer. The service is great and everyone has a smile on their face. They have both indoor and patio seating. Very modern vibe here. The food comes to you exactly how you see and read the description in their very colorful menu. The fajitas were fantastic! The strawberry cheesecake was soooo delicious and refreshing. Their drink menu is plentiful with so many options to choose from. If you don't care for alcohol, they have a great selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed. Bon Appétit!

I have been coming to Mexico for over 30 years and have never had such amazing coconut shrimp that happen to also be filled with cream cheese. Husband had a burger and said it was one of the best he has ever had! AND the prices are really reasonable.

A gentleman stopped us on the sidewalk and introduced us to Pinups Fun & Grill. We’re glad we stopped. My daughter has to eat Gluten Free which they were able to accommodate. The service we received was amazing. We ordered 2 Non-alcoholic drinks, fresh guacamole & chips and each ordered tacos which had 3 tacos each. The entire bill came to $38. Great price for the food and service we received. They have air conditioning and restrooms inside. They have plenty of outdoor seating also. We were only in Mazatlan for 1 day, while our cruise was in port. We rode to the location from the cruise ship and the cost was $15. There are little store fronts everywhere. I did ask one of the young ladies at the restaurant where I could purchase “Real” vanilla. She pointed me up the street to Marsha’s Spice Store. This restaurant is very clean with a great atmosphere. Stop here, you’ll be glad you did!!

Very friendly service. The drinks are tasty but a little weak. The shrimp were delicious but the rest was under seasoned and blah
Buck W — Google review
Pinups is a GREAT place, the food is delicious and the drink selection vast, the staff is wonderful too. The atmosphere is really nice, with live music usually every Wed-Sunday, drink and food specials on some days, and Ladies night on Thursdays. We recently went deep sea fishing and caught some Dorado and Blue Marlin. We brought some of the fish into the restaurant to have them prepare and cook for us, any way we wanted. We asked the staff to surprise us on how to prepare the fish. They blew our minds! they prepared the fish in about 6 or 7 different ways, it was amazing! It was the best fish that I've ever had prepared in a restaurant. They charged a small fee, per person, to cook our fish, and they asked us what side dishes we wanted to come with it. We had so much delicious food, that we shared with the band Kraken and others around us. Everyone loved it! Whether you're visiting on a cruise, on vacation, or just a local resident in Mazatlán, you must check out Pinups, you will be glad you did, we were. Thank you Jorge and Jessica for everything, you have a great place. The attached picture of the platter is only some of the food we had, there were another 3 or 4 prepared dishes, with fish cooked in different sauces. YUM!! Not to mention all of the side dishes with rice, salad and fries
ZEPP — Google review
I am surprised about the number of positive reviews on the food especially the hamburger. The hamburger was made with a VERY low quality meat. The cheese was VERY low quality. The ketchup on the side was okay. I guess I had the food prior to drinking. It is a shame because it is a fun place.

Gaia Bistrot, situated in Plazuela Machado, is a standout option for those with Celiac disease concerned about cross-contamination. This restaurant allows patrons to bring their own equipment to ensure a safe dining experience. With an almost five-star rating, it's a popular choice among visitors. The outdoor seating provides a charming ambiance, especially during the festive Christmas season.
Mabis organized a wonderful Ice breaker dinner for us and 100 of our guests. From being to end the event was magical. Mabis was attentive the whole time. The food & drinks were magnificent. We will definitely come back every time we are in Mazatlán.

Best chicken piccata I’ve ever had in my life!
John M — Google review
We have dined here twice and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Pancho took care of us and he was funny and efficient... and a snappy dresser! The chicken piccata and beef stroganoff were delicious, and the special butter was tasty. Shrimp bisque was just ok. It is a beautiful setting at night, with live entertainment from 2 older guitar players and later the Los Cryps band, who always have great vocals.

Outstanding service from Danny- all the staff were friendly and attentive. Good varied menu and the food was delicious. The restaurant is right in Machado Square with plenty of good people-watching. Ramon provided wonderful live music!

Such an amazing meal! I am generally not inclined to take pictures of food but everything we had was a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. Definitely our best meal in Mazatlan so far. We’re coming back Sunday for paella!

I really wanted to like this place. I had a mojito and the shrimp and pork dumplings. As you can see, they were swimming in sauce. There was a nice flavor and heat, but way too much. The dumplings were thin with little filling. The highlight was the butter that comes with the dinner rolls. I could eat that all day. The server gave me a few to take home with me.

Nestled in the vibrant Sabalo Country area of Mazatlan, La Catrina is a lively restaurant and bar that offers an inviting open-air atmosphere. This popular spot attracts both tourists and locals alike, making it a perfect place to unwind. With live music most nights, it's an ideal venue for those looking to enjoy good food alongside great entertainment. The service at La Catrina is exceptional; guests are greeted with friendly and attentive staff who ensure a memorable dining experience.
Our visit to La Catrina was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we sat down, the service was on point—attentive and friendly. I started with the *Presidential Margarita*, and wow, it was perfectly balanced, refreshing, and honestly one of the best I've ever had! 🍹 But the real surprise was the fun drink served in a bird-shaped cup—it was as delightful to look at as it was to sip. 🦜 We ordered the sampler and a baked potato, and everything came out piping hot and incredibly fresh. The flavors were bold, vibrant, and each bite felt like a little celebration of Mexican cuisine. Every dish exceeded our expectations! If you’re looking for a place with fantastic food, creative drinks, and warm, welcoming service, La Catrina should be at the top of your list. Can’t wait to come back!

Never a dull moment at this place. I have gone during mid day, still has its busy moments but last mid week, around 9pm, it was lit with live band and dancing. The loudest bar on the far end of Sábalo Avenue. Pure, classic fun. We were greeted outside patio and led to a long table close to band/ dance floor. A first time for some of my family members and friends. They immediately loved the place. From the band, the very decorative open setting establishment, attentive servers, busy bartenders and good food and drinks. Perfect blend to spend our night out in mazatlan (day 1). As busy (and loud) as the place was, our server was nearby ensuring we were taken care of. Although we didn’t stay no more than an hour, we were able to enjoy La Catarina and its festivities of the night. We also had planned to make it to another bar before midnight. Expect a good time if not great time at La Catrina I’m Mazatlan 👍🏼

In a food landscape like Mazatlan, where it is dominated by seafood restaurants, La Catrina is a great option for something different to eat. I absolutely love seafood, especially mariscos, Mexican style dishes. But even I can't eat tacos and shrimp every day! La Catrina is just walking distance from our home here in Sabalo Country neighborhood. It's a sports bar style restaurant, with both indoor and outdoor options for dining. It has a nice menu, yes, with traditional Mexican cuisine, but when I'm here, it's for the hot wings and burgers. I suppose it has a feel of the classic American sports pub as well, with its multiple big screen televisions, all running your favorite teams constantly. It also makes me homesick! Just kidding 😂 The service is excellent and courteous, and the place is always clean. Take a swing next time you're in my barrio!

This is an excellent choice in the Sabalo end of the Golden Zone. The kitchen must be one of the best in Mazatlan, the food is consistently first class in terms of freshness, quality and generous portions. Great Margaritas too! The vibe is Mexican Cantina meets North American Sports Bar (loads of screens with whatever is hot in ESPN. To make it perfect the staff are exceptional! Servers such as Pavel will make sure you have a great time so definitely check it out, in just a couple of weeks it’s become our “go to” even though we are staying quite a distance away. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟

Cute interior but the food was not good. The tuna tartare was warm and too salty. Aguachile was warm and had too much pepper. I also asked if they had aguas frescas and they said they only had naranjadas and limonadas. The naranjada was made with boxed orange juice, simple syrup and still water. The limonada was made with lime juice, simple syrup, and still water. At $60 pesos a beverage, a simple "No we only have soda" would have sufficed.
Viviana R — Google review
Good food, live music, good service. La Catrina caters to Gringos. We had a blast, live music and dancing was a treat. Chicken Parmesan was really tasty as the potato was pretty good. We also came back a few times to watch hockey and listen to live music.

This is an awesome place to visit while in Mazatlan. The food is great...the burgers and nachos are amazing! Of course there is more on the menu but these two items are definitely a standout. The service is also outstanding. Try it you won't be disappointed

We were in on a Sunday night, it was pretty quiet. Great guacamole! We were a big group so I didn’t get all the photos. I had the taco salad, it was loaded with avocados and the meat tastes a bit more like spaghetti than taco, but still good! Great service!

Located in the heart of Mazatlan, Mexico, Pino Suarez Mazatlan Market has been a lively hub since 1900. This bustling indoor marketplace is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse array of offerings. Visitors can explore an assortment of locally sourced produce, fresh seafood, handcrafted items, and clothing. The market provides an immersive experience into the rich cultural tapestry of Mazatlan, allowing guests to indulge in the sights, sounds, and flavors that define this dynamic destination.
I just love the atmosphere at this market. If you’re new to Mazatlan you need to take a visit here. The prices overall is lower than other street vendors and the vegetable are fresh. Lots of seafood, beef, pork and chicken. If you can’t find it here you won’t find it anywhere. Love this place. Also a close walk to the “Shrimp Ladies” and “Old Town and a historic church”

A vibrant market frequented by both local and tourists alike. We were looking for handmade local crafts which were aplenty but we decided on a store manned by Fernando, store #40 (from what i understood). Fernando has a gentle mannerism and is such a nice & polite gentleman. It also made it easier that the beautiful handmade necklaces we were looking for were displayed in a glass case, were reasonably priced & there was quite a variety to choose from. We also purchased a talavera plate and various earrings for gifts. We were very happy with the experience and our purchases.
Hopi W — Google review
Very fun to wander the stalls! Most of the stalls sold similar knick-knacks so don't be afraid to walk away from a deal and haggle with a different shop! The upstairs has several very cheap Mexican restaurants. We had smoothies from a vendor on the outside of the market that were delicious
Mark A — Google review
Located in the heart of downtown Mazitlan. It is an active place for all (even a tourist destination) to experience a traditional market of Mexico(think farmer’s market with extras). The sell everything from chicken feet to plastic toys. The tamales were fantastic …so eat there too
Deborah G — Google review
A thriving place, but you need local Pesos here
B T — Google review
I guess it’s going to depend on why you went to the market in the first place. Actual shopping because you live here or shopping for touristy gifts etc. A large selection of meats, vegetables, pastries and candies for the home. The market seems to becoming more tourist oriented every year with many booths carrying the same items. I don’t personally like being asked to buy a hat etc every 6 steps but if you’re looking for gifts you’ll find it here at a good price.
Christoffel D — Google review
Plan to spend some time here... It's super crowded and there's tons of vendors. Though many have seemingly the same things, you can find some more authentic ones mixed in. We loved the sweet bean dessert tamales - glad we noticed that vendor as she was sort of hidden down a little side area. If we had better ability to cook while we were there, this looked like a good place to get meats.

Austin’s BBQ, nestled in the vibrant Sabalo Country of Mazatlan, is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic barbecue. This lively steak and rib joint not only serves up mouthwatering dishes but also features live music and karaoke on select nights, creating an inviting atmosphere. Diners rave about their BBQ pork hocks that are so tender they practically fall off the bone, paired with coleslaw and potato wedges—though some may find the sides a bit modest in portion.
Well I’ve read the bad reviews, but I can only say that our experience was excellent. We both ordered the BBQ pork hocks with coleslaw and potato wedges. The hocks were fall off the bone tender. The coleslaw was similar to a hundred other slaws we’ve had, so just fine. The potato wedges were ok but you certainly don’t get many! You get bread with the hocks and when I asked for more it was free. The music was provided by a duo singing country/folk songs and we thought they were excellent! People were dancing and singing along. I thought the meal was very affordable and certainly way less expensive than in Canada.
Christoffel D — Google review
The portion sizes are fantastic -- the drinks, sides, and main courses are huge. The only way to improve the food would be some real Texas red sauce with some heat, or some other garnishes and a little more salt. Fantastic service. The atmosphere tricked my brain briefly; I thought I was back in the USA between the food, the TVs, decor, and people around me speaking English -- Nicely done.
Tyler W — Google review
Great service and great food. Cesar salad with chicken great. Cheese burger delicious 🤤 Brisket was really tender with a good taste.
Salvador V — Google review
The ribs are good but not great mainly because of the seasoning so that’s obviously a personal preference. They were definitely cooked perfectly and fall-off-bone quality. Also you only get four ribs on the individual meal but they are good size. The wings are 5-star and along with the ribs you won’t leave hungry.
Al — Google review
Disappointing...Was hoping for good Texas BBQ, but not even close. My brisket was so tough I could have used a steak knife. Since I didn't have that, I just gnawed on it like jerky. The best thing on my plate was the potato wedges, of which there were 7. Yes, so few they were easily counted. Portions sizes were too small all together. My wife's pork ribs were overcooked or possibly reheated. Service was okay, nothing special. Music was over the top loud, but other patrons seemed to enjoy it.
DJ R — Google review
The service and servers were great. We enjoyed the music also. We ordered the prime rib special and the brisket. The brisket was good, but I'd have to say that the prime rib was very tough and chewy. I do recommend the restaurant though

Oh boy! Whooo, Top Notch! ❤️ I've been making barbecue for close to 20 years and have taken lessons from the legendary Paul Kirk, seven-time world champion known as the baron of barbecue. I tell you this so you realize I know a thing or two about barbecue from the south. I've been coming to Mazatlan for almost forty years and have never been able to find authentic barbecue that I'm used to from back home in the US. Several establishments have tried it, but nobody down here has figured it out until now here at Austin's BBQ. Aurelio, the owner knows how to do it the way we do in the US and it is absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend this place! So if you're yearning for good Southern BBQ look no further my friends 😋 "I'LL BE BACK" Side note, most places down here that make barbecued ribs boil them first, then, they coat them with the barbecue sauce and throw them under the broiler. Hey, if that's what you like that's fine go for it!
John M — Google review
The service was fine. We couldn't sit inside due to reservations, but tables stayed empty, so I'm not sure why that was. Live music was fun, not too loud. Brisket was dry and tough, some of the worst I've ever had. Ribs seemed like they were overcooked as well. Chicken was solid. Overall I wouldn't go back.

La Regional Latin Bistro is a restaurant with a rich history, as its founder Hector has had an extensive career as a baker and chef. The food and drinks are highly praised, with particular highlights being the ribs and corn dessert. The simplicity of the pasta dish and the explosion of aroma and flavors in the Beet Enselada have also been commended. Visitors have enjoyed delicious breakfasts with beautifully presented dishes.
Cristian was a great waiter. My husband and I each had a couple Moscow Mules that were excellent. We ordered the Tuna Shot for an appetizer and it was very tasty. We shared the Ravioli which was amazing. The ravioli were stuffed with a beef ragu and cottage cheese and covered in a rich gravy. We listened to The Blues by Gerry and Mario. What a fantastic evening.

In Mazatlan, there's a family restaurant that stands out for its delicious Guayaba pie and a variety of healthy menu options. It's a must-visit spot offering indulgent treats as well as wholesome dishes. The place is perfect for any mealtime, and their baked goods are worth taking home. Despite being a chain, the food is consistently authentic and delightful. Visitors can also enjoy the best burro burrito here.
GREAT food!! Can't believe how great everything was. We were able to walk right in and get a seat. The staff was friendly and the place was super clean. We were tourists to the area and while none of the wait staff spoke English, they had English menus and we were able to point at what we wanted. We got the Big Burro Burrito and the Birria Asada Tacos and the lime/cucumber/mint frappe and a water bottle. Everything was excellent, probably the best authentic Mexican food we've ever had, and the prices were reasonable (our bill was about $30 between the two of us). Would definitely recommend to tourists, but you might want to brush up on basic Spanish phrases for ordering at restaurants.

All PANAMA restaurants are awesome. Food quality is superb. Check out these plates we ordered. Everything was delicious.
Richard E — Google review
The menu selection is quite good. I actually came 2 days in a row to 2 different locations and ordered the same breakfast “delicia francesa”, which was pancakes with cottage cheese in the middle and topped with fruit and whipped cream and a side of cinnamon apple sauce to add overtop. On the side I had scrambled eggs with ham and 2 strips of bacon. Delish! Coffee was good, but I ordered a drink that was new and has a purple color and bits of strawberry because I thought it would be refreshing and hated it. So extremely sweet and artificial. Their bread is delish!
Angie C — Google review
Everything we ordered was amazing. We didn't finish our plates, big portions and great flavors. The mollete could've been crispier, but it was good nevertheless. Some of the drinks on the menu lack an explanation. My mom ordered the fresandia and it ended up being a frappé with no mention of it on the menu.
Alejandra C — Google review
Lots of options, decent prices. Menu available in both Spanish and English. I had the mushroom tacos and our group shared a fruit platter.

Excellent service and the food is phenomenal, service is excellent. Everything in the menu is superb.
Richard C — Google review
Friendly and efficient service. There are lots of options. I had the chilorio which is a shredded beef that has a taste like chorizo. See the picture below. They keep filling your coffee like American style and even bring milk without asking. They have a three level dessert cart that they pass through the dining room. It looks tempting but at breakfast it was only cakes. Now if they'd had pan dulce I might have been tempted. But in the end On the way out you pass through the panaderia and it's a great opportunity for something for the loNg bus trip to Guadalajara!

The seafood market Las Changueras Expendio De Mariscos is a great place to buy fresh seafood at great prices. The adjacent restaurant will cook your food for a small charge, and they sell cold beer for just 18 pesos. This is the best spot in Mazatlán for fresh shrimp. You can find big shrimp here for $6 a pound.
So fresh and great price quality/quantity. Grab some seafood and have the restaurant on the corner cook it for you.
Bethany D — Google review
If you love fresh shrimp, then this is the place to go. Multiple vendors in a authentic Mexican street market. Picked up some large shrimp for good price per kilo. Be aware of your selection as the shrimp is outside in the sun. Many sizes to pick from
Jaredd T — Google review
What a special place, motorcycles pulling up with fisherman and their morning catches on the backs of the bikes. Hustle, bustle, so many different options of seafood and vendors. This morning red snapper, shrimp, and spiny lobster came home with me. I am so please that this staple of Mazatlán is a 15-minute walk from my home.
Jupiter — Google review
This public seafood market is cool. Not too big, with about 15 vendors selling pretty much similar. Shop around bc all vendors are priced differently. The seafood overall is very fresh. Make sure you ask them to clean the fish. They charge 10 pesos to clean. English doesn't seem to be common in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. Everyone barely speaks English. Best to practice at home before coming here or else download a translater app. I know basic Spanish and it was still difficult to communicate properly. I wish vendors have a price tag on everything. I don't like the fact that there isn't a price tag on items. Overall is a great place to buy seafood.
Kimberly P — Google review
You can find all kinds of souvenirs and raw seafood. Its pretty much a flea market.

Must visit in Mazatlán to visit the seafood markets and get fresh seafood from surrounding restaurants. You can buy seafood from the market and the restaurants will cook it for you. Snack on some fresh oysters and clams!

Super fresh seafood of any kind (mostly shrimp), but also very smelly! You have to put up with the smell of fish if you want to shop around. Vendors start selling around 7am and start clearing out by 3pm. Prices are cheaper than the stores, but you can still haggle the price on certain food items to get a much better deal.

Nestled in the vibrant Golden Zone, this popular eatery is known for its mouthwatering flavors and quick service. The menu features a variety of wing options, all expertly cooked to perfection. Guests rave about their preference for drumsticks over flats, ensuring every bite is juicy and satisfying.

Denny W — Google review
The wings were great.had to send back the fries as there was so much salt and spices I couldn't eat them. Service was good cuz no one else was there. This restaurant is on a 4 lane road so I thought it was noisy a bit until the manager decided that everyone in mazatlan needed to hear his music. Luckily I was paying my bill and leaving. I think every business from taxi drivers to restaurants think that cranking music brings in patrons. 🤯

Please do not buy anything that is not wings here. My family and I ordered dinner here. It took 30 minutes to get wings and a burger. It took over an hour to get 3 chicken bowls. The rice was still raw and watery, the herbs were just tossed in and the chicken was semi cooked. The thought was there but not edible.

Wings army is probably the best wings in Mazatlán. First off, their none in wings are fantastic, all the flavors are tasty, they only give you the drumstick wing not the flat one which is nice, they are all well cooked and seasoned. The wings are prepared fast and always on point. You can ask for crispy or well done if you prefer. I highly recommend wings army if you are in the mood for wings.

Place was half full with 5 waiters and 1 bartender. Table was covered in black dust, from the road, waited 20 min for 1 beer and 1 Margarita, and food followed seconds after all at once with wing appetizers... Nice location. You can enjoy a nice ocean sunset while supping on your favourite cold drink. Food is good, portions are a bit smaller. Many guests enjoyed live music
Valery P — Google review
Update: looks like the only central spot with a restaurant and daybeds now. ordered a Spanish filete, the veggies came out cold with undercooked carrots. The rice was flavorful but cold as well. The fish was warm with a lightly flavored buttery sauce. Tbh, the mushrooms were rancid. However, the service was attentive and the view was nice and relaxing. Below is the previous review. Well thought out space. Plants, lights, wooden chairs, etc. Sad we didn’t find it earlier as we’ve made our way down trying spots along the beach. Service was good. You may get interrupted a lot by people passing by (wkds esp) but it’s accepted here. They ask you not to order Banda. Was able to order a buttery Cajun sauce that you rarely find on menus here, for my seafood. They also have some items you don’t really find on the beach, like pasta and shrimp and guac inside a flaky tortilla reminiscent of a southwestern style quesadilla. Shots were not watered down. Frozen drink was a little sweet but all else was great.
Navs L — Google review
I love the staff, and have enjoyed many a meal here, but today was not a good day for a meal at Fisherman's. My husband loves their Alfredo dishes, but the one today was just weird. When delivered, the first sign was the color of the sauce. It was brown, not white. And the taste was was more like teriyaki noodles. We later found out it was made with oyster sauce. I ordered the fish burger. Another disappointment. Rather than the normal breaded fish fillet, this one had pieces of fish chunks, which kept calling out of the bun. The tarter sauce had too much mayonnaise and and red pieces that could have been bell pepper, but packed the tartness of typical tarter sauce. Hopefully, the next visit will be back to the dishes we enjoy.

Good food, amazing views right on the water and fantastic service. One of the best things was there was no loud music or performers inside, so it was easy to relax and talk with my friends.

Walked the beach from end to end this morning and looked at all the beach bars. The curb appeal was great at Fishermans. Stopped for drinks and a ceviche. Ordered the mixed which was to be 3 seafood items, came with the current catch of 5 different preparations. Shrimp, scallops, tuna, octopus and cooked shrimp. Plus all the sauces and condiments. Fed 3 of us for lunch. What a great value, and great location after getting our steps in.

Excellent margaritas. Service is outstanding. We split the chorizo nachos and they were very good, maybe could have used a bit more chorizo but overall delicious. Highly recommend. Tranquil neighborhood.

Phenomenal little bistro in the cutest plaza. Not only was the food excellent, but so was the service. The bartender Victor was very friendly and made the best daiquiris we had in Mazatlan AND the best espresso martini we've EVER had. The owner, Nathan, was so kind, he came and introduced himself to us and we had a wonderful conversation with him. He was also able to recommend a dentist that was needed for an emergency situation, and they got me in immediately! We will go back there again and again. Very genuine people!!! Thanks again for your hospitality, Nathan! ❤️

We found a cute cafe near the beach. There is a cute companion welcoming us at the cafe. His name is Bally. When I saw him at a seat I thought he was a stray cat. lol… I had the rancheros eggs which was very good. It was not overly spicy or seasoned. We enjoyed the ambience and it’s located in a quite neighborhood. Only a few mins to walk to beach. The server was very friendly who introduced Bally to us. The cafe itself was clean and stylish. Highly recommend.

The best burger i have had in Mazatlan so far. My husbands clubhouse was good. The owner came over and talked to us about where we were from and made sure to stop by a few times during our meal.

Update: still a good spot for an early morning coffee and tennis match. Nice servers and bartenders who remember your preferences. Regulars you can say hello to every time you come. Trivia night is filled with friendly folks! We walked around a bit and looked at other brunch locations but chose this one because of the bar seating. Great vibe and music when missing a bit of America. Not saying it’s American, but the 80s-2000s were playing on tv and the bartender spoke a lot of English as well as Spanish. The bartender was nice and knowledgeable. It’s unfortunate there weren’t more people there that morning, but you can tell it was a great place to have a drink and relax. Looked like a full bar. I ordered a vodka ginger ale and it was a great starter…liked that there was the standard bacon, eggs, and potatoes option, but went for the pepper filled with eggs, bacon, and cheese. Hated the cheese on top, it tasted like melted cream cheese so I scraped it off, but loved the eggs and the REAL bacon. It came with a side of fruit and beans. Portion was good and it was plated nicely. My lunch partner ordered a shrimp omelette and enjoyed it with tortillas. Would definitely make it a regular stop :)

We ate here outnof convenience multiple times, and the food was pretty good (especially for the price) but the service was somewhat inconsistent. The male server with the tattoos and stretched ears was excellent but the younger female server forgot things and seemed inconvenineced by us. It's not authentic, but seems to be a gringo hotspot and there's a demand for that in Mazatlan for sure.
Adriane G — Google review
The prime rib dinner served with horseradish sauce, mashed potatoes and asparagus with a creamy spinach sauce was very good. Nathan came over to make sure everthing was good. Will be going back.

Mariscos Piquillas Marina is a popular spot in the Marina area where you can enjoy Tres Islas beer during tap takeovers at various restaurants like Mano Santa and Hectors Bistro. Additionally, you can savor gourmet burgers, pizzas, and appetizers while enjoying your favorite cocktail or wine. The ambiance is enhanced by good music and a friendly crowd.
Great place for a nice cocktail or your favorite wine. The gourmet burgers are great and love the pizzas and appetizers. Good music and great people.

Eat here on a Friday at 7pm. We were the only ones at the restaurant, service was ok, but not great. Food was sub par for the price. First and last time. Owner was on his phone the entire time texting with no engagement. Guess that is the new generation. Not sure why the ratings are so good. Not impressed.
Dale S — Google review
We have eaten at this restaurant 3 times in the last 6 weeks. The first and second time the food was really good. The steaks and burgers we're very tasty and high quality. Then recently we went there and we were disappointed. The burger was tasty but the bun had not been toasted, a huge mistake in my book. More importantly, the Rib Eye they served my bf was not good. It was very fatty and not nearly as good as the previous time we had steak. Their pizza is very good as well as the service. Perhaps, they got a new chef? I don't know.

(Translated by Google) The place is very nice, the food is great, the kitchen is punctual, the service has a lot of opportunity, the girl who welcomed us, gave us the menus and took our order, we never saw her again during our time there. The guy who brought us food, very limited, I asked him for a beer and he never brought it to me. It's worth it if you're patient with the inefficient service. From their mouthwatering lettuce wraps to the standout orange chicken and shrimp curry, every dish is crafted with care and flavor. What a great discovery!! We had Christmas dinner here. Lettuce wraps appetizer, delicious. Orange chicken, Shangri-la chicken, and shrimp curry. Everything was amazing. Beautifully crafted cocktails. Lovely decor and atmosphere. This place is not to be missed. Outstanding service. A true gem in Mazatlán.

I cannot compliment this restaurant enough. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and the drinks very delicious. I have had Chinese food in many cities in multiple countries and this place was better than all of them. This place makes PF Changs look like amateur hour.
John C — Google review
Nothing close to good Chinese food, they don’t velvet their proteins so chicken and beef were both chewy and tough, even worse the next day. The flavor of our Mongolian beef tasted like it came from a Walmart package. The portions feed 2 people but a plate is also 300 pesos !! Won’t go back !
Gwendolyn G — Google review
Very clean, beautiful chinese restaurant. Food was delicious, service exceptional (my server spoke excellent english and even a little bit of french) I will definitely be returning very soon.

Highly recommend this place if you're looking for some good Chinese food in Mazatlán. The food & quality of the service was great. We will definitely be back to eat here the next time we visit Mazatlán again from California!

Over priced food and smaller sized portions. I can cook better Chinese at home. Very noisey and had to yell to talk to each other.

Great restaurant for decent Chinese food. Very happy with the service and the portions. We had a superb meal and an enjoyable evening mostly thanks to Ivan our waiter who couldn't do enough to help. Highly recommended!

Super small but excellent new restaurant in Centro/downtown near the Plazuela Machado. Carefully crafted dishes, small selection, elaborate, delicious, also - to my surprise - filling. If foody spots are your thing, try it out.
