Located in Plaza Machado, the Angela Peralta Theater is a stunning 1,200-seat venue that hosts a variety of cultural events. From dance and theater performances to music concerts, this historic theater offers an array of entertainment. Visitors can enjoy annual events like the Cultural Festival, Dia de la Musica, and the Jose Limon Dance Festival. The theater boasts state-of-the-art technology for top-notch shows including symphonic and opera concerts, ballet performances, and recitals.
We watched a guitar quartet. They performed 20 songs from around the world. They sang as well. The hall was booked to capacity for this concert. I would recommend buying tickets ASAP for the performance that interests you.
Christoffel D — Google review
Amazing historic theatre with very comfortable and new seats. Was a little worried they'd be cramped but not at all. Wonderful viewpoint from orchestra row F where we watched the Nutcracker. The buy tickets button on the website doesn't work, but it's easy to buy tickets in person at the box office. Need to know a little Spanish but there is a screen that shows you open seats so pretty easy.
Beth F — Google review
Small performing arts theater located in historic center of San Miguel de Allende; decent acoustics; watched guitar festival performances.
Jim T — Google review
Lovely old theater with great acoustics. But they have no concession stand or allow guests to bring in water.
Bil C — Google review
Simply amazing the theater the acoustics the history & reconstruction! I've visited the theater on a previous trip to Mazatlan, and want to visit again !!
Sarah D — Google review
It a beautiful theater 🎭 with balconies. I would recommend to gwt the tickets as soon as possible because they sold out fast.
Marant C — Google review
Beautiful theater! Really good talent at this place. I've been to three shows there and they all were 5 star performances.

Park
Nestled in the vibrant city of Mazatlan, Mexico, Mazagua Water Park is a delightful destination for both kids and adults seeking a day filled with aquatic adventures. This expansive water park boasts an impressive array of attractions, including 14 thrilling water slides that promise to get your heart racing. Families can enjoy the gentle currents of the lazy river or take a dip in one of the 13 inviting pools scattered throughout the park.
This is a great waterpark, and our family really enjoyed ourselves. There are a lot of slides to keep the kids entertained, plus a toddler area. We visited on a Friday, and the park wasn't full. There were maybe 5 groups total, so no waiting in line to use the slides. We'll go back the next time we visit Mazatlan.
Jewelz L — Google review
We love this place! Great rides for myself and my nine year old. And great areas for smaller kids to splash around. The place is clean work lots of shady areas to sit
Ben H — Google review
Lots a fun for all ages. You can bring in your ice chest full of food and drinks (no alcohol). There is good food stands. Highly recommend. ($300MX PESOS) Less than $20 per person. Kids under 3 are free.
Ibrahim A — Google review
Good place for the family ❤️
Daisy S — Google review
This place turned out great! I came to Mazatlán twice before and we avoided the water park bcs of the bad reviews but this time we decided to give it a try since someone mentioned they had recently done work on it. It turned out to be a great place for the kids, the little kids area is super cute and engaging for the little ones. I really liked all the treats we got at the food store and the cleaningness of all the areas in general. The gardens are also so well kept. We really liked it and will definitely come back next time we visit.
F. B — Google review
Cute place and nice people. Most of the food wasn't available at the time, not cool man
Stacie M — Google review
Fun place for the day just make sure they are open. Days vary
Carl D — Google review
Mazagua was a great place to spend the day with our under-10 kids. The kids had a blast. It is very easy to get to by local bus. There are many fun slides for all age levels, including the only 4-person slide I've ever seen. We didn't have to wait long for any rides and the staff were great. Agree with other reviewers that it could use a round of maintenance, but it didn't bother us. Be sure to bring your own towels as they do not offer towels for rent. You can purchase a towel for 250pesos. Overall, highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning. Great beach for walking and watching the ocean. Not kid friendly - waves are too harsh for children. Pulmonias everywhere, Liverpool Beatles tourist trap and tons of food/drink options.

Sea Shell City, also known as Museo de Conchas, is a fascinating 2-story museum and store located in Mazatlan's Golden Zone. It showcases an extensive collection of seashells from around the world, highlighting their diverse shapes, sizes, and colors. Visitors can learn about marine ecosystems and marvel at exquisitely sculpted shell art while also exploring a small aquarium.
What a great city! It was a lot of fun exploring the culture the shows, the shops. Definitely worth the visit
Dru S — Google review
Great location for home base while visiting family and friends in CA. Walking distance to ocean, pier, and restaurants. Easy access to freeway too. Very nice and friendly staff.
Rebecca W — Google review
Smallish, but a very nice museum and well worth walking up the stairway at the back of the shop to see. Try to guess how many sea shells went into the construction of the fountain. Check out the designs carved into some of the shells in the back display cases. Kids (and kids at heart) will like the shark jaw, old diver suit, and model of the Titanic.
Kevin J — Google review
Found some unique shells that are perfect for a few artistic projects ...and interesting to see the photos of the Port of Mazatlan nearly 100 years ago. Certainly worthy of a look.
G S — Google review
Lots and lots of sea shells, and arts and crafts with sea shells. Very fragile and would be difficult to transport home. Not much of a museum as it is a sea shell store
Nathaniel V — Google review
This store was there in 1980 and is still there. It is a must see You will find it hard to leave empty handed.

Museum
Observatorio Mazatlán 1873, originally built as a lookout for pirates in the 1800s, offers breathtaking views of Mazatlan and its bay. The site now features a museum with period furniture and photographs showcasing the city's history. Visitors can also enjoy Mezcal tastings, bird observatory, and upcoming ziplining activities. The location is perfect for witnessing stunning sunsets and taking in 360-degree views of the port and bay.
What a gem. This place is perched on a hill overlooking the city and harbor of Mazatlan. The views are spectacular! The staff are friendly and helpful. Food and beverages are available and come with a great view. Be prepared for ramps and stairs everywhere. Not handicapped friendly.
Mike E — Google review
Wonderful views and the interactive exhibits in the museum were really impressive. Our guide Gerardo, (aka Jerry) who showed us around the old meteorology building, was helpful and friendly. A great way to spend an afternoon.
Robin L — Google review
Well worth the visit. Lots of awesome city and coastline views. All the staff were friendly and informative.
Kristof B — Google review
When described, "beautiful views, iguana preserve, whale museum" 🤨. The observatory is beautiful, with so much to see for the family, beyond the beautiful view, you also have an iguana preserve, whale museum (really well done), rooftop bar, chocolate ceremony (limited times but very beautiful), and probably even more. You can spend 2+hours. Definitely so much more then you can hope for.
Jake W — Google review
Wife and I thought it would be fun to see and it didn’t disappoint. Very interesting and informative. They even have a black toucan, never heard of it before and he was cool. Went on a Thursday morning and no wait
Todd L — Google review
Visiting Observatorio 1873 in Mazatlán was one of the highlights of our trip. The entire place is absolutely beautiful, a perfect mix of nature, history, and breathtaking views. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by lush greenery and fascinating wildlife. We saw iguanas, colorful parrots, peacocks, flamingos, and so many other amazing animals up close. It felt like a peaceful escape right in the middle of the city. The observatory itself is rich in history. We learned so much about Mazatlán’s past, including information on local marine life like whales and tortoises. Every part of the property was well-maintained and thoughtfully designed to offer a fun and educational experience. One of our favorite parts was the café it was such a charming place to take a break, enjoy a drink, and soak in the incredible panoramic views of the ocean and city. Whether you're a nature lover, history buff, or just looking for something unique and relaxing to do in Mazatlán, Observatorio 1873 is a must-visit. We had such a fun and memorable time and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Maira U — Google review
What a cool.place to visit, a bit expensive but worth every penny, you go up with a funicular. there are options on site to buy food and drinks for reasonable prices.

Aquarium
The Gran Acuario Mazatlán 'Mar de Cortés' is a top aquarium in the country, featuring over 50 exhibits and a variety of marine life such as sea lions, macaws, and sea horses. The new location in Parque Central offers modern facilities and informative guides. Visitors can enjoy live marine animal shows and even swim with sea lions and sharks. The aquarium also provides amenities like refreshment areas at the beginning and end of the tour.
We did something out of our normal excursions: Went to the incredible aquarium that just opened 2 years ago… had an absolutely amazing experience. The design starts at the edge of the ocean and each room you go deeper into what it looks like and the creatures that reside at each level. Really appreciated having a tour guide who explained every exhibit and we even got to go behind the scenes to see how they keep all of the conditions to meet the needs of whatever fish/animal they have there.. they do a lot of Rescue work rehabilitating, fish, sea lions, and turtles… all the sea lions were rescued as babies, and now do the little sea lion show ! 🦭 🪼 🐟 🐠
Sandra B — Google review
A great time was had by all ages here! Tickets are not cheap but the animals here will fill you with wonder! About a 22 min ride from the cruise terminal. We took an Uber and it was super easy. It will definitely beat out any cruise excursion price!
J C — Google review
Nice select but parts are very run down. Majority of the "park" is outdoors, so hat and water will be helpful. If you plan ahead, your tickets will be 40% less.
Haleh O — Google review
We arrived at opening expecting a large crowd, but there was no line. We had a great visit, it took a few hours to explore but there was so much to see and experience. This is a great family site to visit and you can interact to the degree you feel comfortable. I will revisit the site in the future.
Troy G — Google review
A great place to spend a couple of hours. My husband’s favourite was feeding the rays. I thought the mini jellyfish were beautiful. It had the biggest aquarium I’ve ever seen. Fun for adults and kids. The two people who put on the bird show at 1 o’clock were super fun. It was really cool when they had the parrot fly over the crowd, hitting them with its wings on the way by. On the way
Rae G — Google review
My wife and I (30yrs old) went to the aquarium date on a Tuesday and there was no line, very polite and happy staff. 😊 There is plenty to walk around and see many shows and interactions. We had lunch at the burger tank (tbh wouldn't recommend even with 20% off - try something else) The best part was my personal connection to penguins 🐧🐧🐧 because my grandma loves them. We saw many cool things and took a lot of great pics of reptiles and birds🐾🐊🦢🌵 and went to the bird cage.🦜 I would recommend this aquarium is interesting and a great place for learning and family. We walked the whole lot and spent most of our day! YAY THANKS EVERYONE 😊
Mike R — Google review
I had heard great things about the aquarium, but when I got there it didn't quite live up to expectations. It is a good aquarium, and the seal show is entertaining, but it is not a as large as is said. All in all, it was fun, we had a good time there.

Plaza
Park
Plazuela Machado, situated in the lively heart of Mazatlan's historic center, is a well-known plaza with a rich cultural heritage and vibrant atmosphere. Built in 1837, it was once the central focus of Carnaval and has now been restored as a hub for local festivities. The plaza features charming colonial architecture, an iron gazebo, and the famous Angela Peralta Theater.
Came here on a week day. Their was no wait. We were told by the couple that owns the restaurant that they have music Thursday through Sunday. The food we ordered was very good. We had the ceviche, ensalada de espinacas, fetuchini Alfredo con mariscos, and ensalada Cesar. The shrimp cheviche was delicious and was shared as an appetizer for 4. The spinach salad had candied walnuts, goat cheese in a balsamic vinaigrette, and the fettuccine Alfredo was ordered with just shrimp and octopus.
Rosita M — Google review
This is a shady/treed plaza surrounded by restaurants catering to tourists (with the accompanying tourist $$). I assume the food is ok, I would recommend reading reviews of the individual restaurants as we didn’t eat here. It’s a great place to sit and people watch or plan your next move.
Christoffel D — Google review
The best time to visit is at night time when lights are turned on and streets are close so that restaurants are able to set up chairs and tables for patrons. There are a few shops to buy gifts and souvenirs. People can also enjoy live music at night.
Jezze — Google review
Beautiful area with lots to see and do day or night. Been my favorite area so far for “Dia de Los Muertos” festivities. Lots of food choices and shops to check out.
Mark L — Google review
It takes you back in time, we went during the day but at night it's absolutely beautiful. The lighting on the streets and the colonial streets. There 4 bands playing rock en Español and boy they play good. You have many choices of food, we ate in two restaurants and the food was exquisite. So much to see and it will be fun.
Roberto L — Google review
Very cute and neat place to hang out. Lots of restaurants and sculptures. The homes in the surrounding streets are cozy with many different bright colors. A bit on the older architectures, very much like European style. Pretty clean and safe. Recommend strolling around and head toward the Malecón!

Such a great idea to have a swimming pool that's filled by the tide! We didn't get in, but it looked very fun. There is a slide that doesn't seem to be in use, and I feel a little queasy about going in bare footed. However, the kids were having a blast and if I'd had my bathing suit I definitely would have gone for it. Going back next week to give it a try.

By far my favorite place in Mexico! I love the weather and food and the people are so friendly . Its not a big tourist place which is nice because you get to enjoy the scenery and just relax. The also have a place called stone island which is a great beach . They serve some of the freshest seafood dishes here as well.

The Museo El Rincón de Pedro Infante is a small house museum that showcases memorabilia from the life of Pedro Infante, a famous star of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. The museum displays original clothing, family pictures, and legal documents that offer insights into his life. However, it may be more enjoyable for those who understand Spanish as the exhibits are primarily in this language.
Knowing part of the life of Pedro Infante is really interesting but if you don't understand spanish you may not enjoy this museum so I can recommend this museum for Mexican people. Also seeing the photos and the real and original clothes of Pedro Infante is amazing.
DazPlusX — Google review
I wouldn't call it a museum as much as I would say it's a nice photo op with lots of pictures and some props from the movies. Small place with a wonderful hostesses. They really want you to have an experience. Also it was closed on Saturday, had to make a second trip. I would call ahead.
Ivette P — Google review
The famous legendary Mexican 🇲🇽 actor and singer, Pedro Infante actual home should be on the list of things to do while visiting Mazatlan. The museum is super small that it only takes about 15 to 20 minutes ⏰️ for guide to inform and walk through the whole place. As of October 2025, the entrance fee is $50 pesos. I love the Golden Age of Mexican cinema and Pedro Infante was one of the biggest stars to come from that age. The Museo is a quaint little house where Pedro Infante lived until he was around 5 that houses great memorabilia. The owner of the house gives you a tour.

The Monumento al Pescador in Mazatlan, Mexico is a revered local landmark that dates back to 1958. It serves as a tribute to the city's deep connection to the sea and its hardworking fishermen who have been vital to its economy and culture. The monument features a striking sculpture of a fisherman casting his net into the ocean, symbolizing the enduring bond between Mazatlan and its fishing traditions.
Los Monos Bichis. A must visit: for a selfie, group picture, it's an icon. Also, it's so cool to see and be among happy and relax people that it is contagious.

Nestled between the vibrant Valentino's Fiesta Land and the renowned surf haven of Olas Atlas, La Cueva Del Diablo, or Devil's Cave, is a must-visit gem in Mazatlan, Mexico. This natural wonder captivates visitors with its stunning rock formations and rich folklore that speaks of a devil once residing within its depths. As you wander through the cave’s intriguing interior, you'll be enchanted by its unique geological features and the captivating tales that surround it.
One my greatest memories as this place is beautiful as a whole! This cave, so much interesting stories and mysteries surround it.

We didn’t want to mess with the devil, so we didn’t approach the cave. But it was fun to walk by and see all of the people looking inside and taking pictures. There is an amazing spot right across the street where all kinds of food trucks come out at night, and even more on the weekend. That’s the place to get your junk food on and enjoy the night time waves!

Was intrigued by the place so I searched about it. The Caverna del Diablo is a historical and mysterious place that has many legends and stories associated with it. Some people say that it is haunted by ghosts or that it leads to hell. Others say that it was used as a refuge or a storage for weapons during wars.
Ron “ — Google review
I had a tour with a local and was told that this cave was once used as a "refrigerator" to keep their ice cold for the fisherman back in the 1800s . Now a days the police use it to hold the drunk peeps during the Feb. Parade. 😂

Visit The Diver, also known as El Clavadista, located in the small oceanside park Parque Glorieta Rodolfo Sanchez Taboada in Mazatlan. Here, you can witness daring cliff divers performing impressive feats of athleticism from a platform perched atop a 50-foot rock at the ocean's edge. While there are no tickets required to watch the divers, they typically perform when there is a large crowd to garner tips.
Excellent and exciting! What a show. The diver was friendly and talked with us before and after diving!

Come one, come all and bring a few pesos. These daredevils will dive off the cliff for money. It is quite a spectacular sight to watch. I definitely recommend a visit to this place in Mazatlan. We were here for a day on a cruise. This was the best stop on our tour. It’s very picturesque and the cliff divers wait until there’s a crowd to watch them dive. Only negative was that they aggressively beg for tips. I’m good with tipping but give me a minute to get the money, you don’t have to stalk me like I’m about to dine and dash.

Located at the south end of the Malecon in Mazatlan, the Monumento a Pedro Infante was erected in 2004 to honor the Mexican superstar, Pedro Infante. The monument depicts him on a motorcycle, reminiscent of his famous role in the 1951 movie 'A Todo Maquin,' and celebrates Mazatlans Motorcycle Week. This spot offers an excellent view of the sea and is relatively uncrowded due to its rocky terrain.

History Museums
The Archaeological Museum of Mazatlán is a hidden gem that invites visitors to explore the rich history of Sinaloa through its impressive collection of over 200 artifacts from pre-Hispanic cultures. Nestled in a charming late nineteenth-century mansion, this compact museum offers an intimate glimpse into the region's past. The friendly staff are always on hand to assist with any inquiries, making your visit even more enjoyable.
I hate to call this museum small, I believe compact serves so much better. The museum is focused on the history of the native Sinaloan people and their ancient traditions and way of life. My understanding is that they have a rotating exhibit in the main room, which when we were there was focused on the marshes and salt farming of the people, with the exhibit featuring images taken and/or selected by the archaeologist who created this particular exhibit. It was fascinating to learn about the people from that perspective, and I felt that the museum did a great job of focusing on the core features of that culture and making use of the space provided. The host was incredibly helpful in expanding on details we didn't quite understand. In addition, the majority of the exhibits feature written descriptions in both Spanish and English, which was very helpful for my small Spanish vocabulary. I absolutely recommend that anyone visiting with an interest in the ancient history and archaeology of this culture visit this museum. P.S. Apologies if I misremembered some of the finer details 😁

Before I got inside I was reading the placard on the wall and I was almost in tears. “Everything that cannot be recovered with money, such as the feelings linked to their homeland, the corners of memories, the tree where they met in the evenings, etc., hence the phrase of a resident displaced by the Picachos Dam, "They say they are going to pay for my house, but who is going to pay for my affections?" Affection is the attachment to that place where he was born and raised, where the umbilical cord is buried, it is part of his stories, of the place where he lived with friends, of the palm tree where he a met his first girlfriend, of the tamarind tree that was the space of coexistence, a silent witness to the stories of many generations; of the streets where he played, finally of that space that was his "place", to which he was attached, the place of identity.” I live in British Columbia, Canada. In a town in the NE of the province, right beside the just completed ‘Site C’ hydro dam. They just filled the 80 kilometer long reservoir last fall. Thus finalizing the destruction of the valley where I grew up. It was the geographical feature that defined my area of BC. I haven’t been able to actually go see the filled reservoir yet, I don’t know how I will react. I feel for these people, I have just experienced much of what they went through. I was lucky, my house was never in an area to be flooded but the once fertile valley defined who I am. A very interesting display, it highlights the pre Spanish lives led by the local Sinoloan peoples. This history needs to be remembered and taught to the local people. Well done!

I visited city centre with my friends and am very glad to have stopped at the Archeological Museum of Mazatlán. Located near the shore on a picturesque street, it is convenient to get to and near other tourist hubs. We were promptly greeted by Pedro, whose brilliant service deserves a special shoutout. Pedro provided us with a brief background to and tour of the museum, all in excellent English. We then toured the rooms independently, which included Spanish and English descriptions of all the artifacts. Everything was very fascinating, accessible, and descriptive, making for a wonderful visit. Amenities included toilets and air conditioning, convenient for us Canadian tourists who aren’t used to the spring heat. Pricing was beyond reasonable – 75 pesos per ticket (~$5.25 CAD). I highly recommend visiting this unique museum if you have a chance! Thank you :)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yesterday, my husband and I took my father, who’s visiting, to MUSAM—the archaeological museum in Mazatlán. We weren’t sure what to expect, but we were excited to learn more about the area’s history. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by a friendly guard and then met Pedro, who truly made our visit unforgettable. Pedro was incredibly inviting and knowledgeable. He began explaining the artifacts in Spanish, but when he noticed my husband spoke English, he effortlessly switched languages. His detailed explanations brought each piece to life, and his passion for Mazatlán’s rich history was contagious. Honestly, I could have listened to his stories for hours! It was such a treat to receive that kind of personal attention and insight. We left feeling more connected to the region and will definitely be back again. Highly recommend a visit!

Entering the air-conditioned building was a great relief from the daytime heat, but the museum had much more to offer than cool air. I had a lovely time learning about the history of Mexico, from ancient symbols of wealth to sacrificial rituals to funerary traditions. Pedro gave us an interesting tour and was very welcoming overall. If you’re in or near Mazatlán, do pay this museum a visit!
Jaclyn T — Google review
The museum has some incredible displays of early life in the area. It’s inexpensive and doesn’t take long to wander through all the exhibits. Our favourite part was the very knowledgable and passionate young man who greeted us at the door, told us that if we just needed a cool place to spend some time, we are welcome to stand in the main gallery. Even without paying to see the rest. He explained the museum to us, and obviously was passionate about the history and quality of the exhibits. I am leaving this Google review just because he said it could help their museum out. I wish I’d caught his name.

Beautiful place ❣️ we love Mazatlan, excellent food. You need to try the marshmallows that are call suaves, tacos capeados, the food in the Cenaduria totally different you can find local dishes like asado de atun (tuna asado) or chicharron de atun or Marlyn, pay de guayabas (guava pie) from Panama Bakery or almost in any restaurant you can find this dessert and if you are looking for a place for Christmas Eve or new year Eve, there's a hotel that is called Playa Mazatlan they offer a dinner with live music and activities, the food is delicious! You can try the buffet also for dinner for any day 1:30 to 5pm. Visit the light house you have to do some work out, there are about 336 steps that you have to go up and also to go down, but the view you can get is totally worth the effort. If you want to eat excellent sea food you need to visit Marea Negra, it's delicious! We liked Brujas Beach the most but any beach in Mazatlan is beautiful. Angela Peralta theatre and the Plazuela Machado the architecture is astonishing! During our visit we explored El Quelite, a little town not far away, good food , there's a restaurant called Los Lauranos beautiful place the decorations are very unique. The houses with cactus 🌵 on the roof was a surprise! We need to come back, we still have places to visit there but we didn't have enough time. I hope this information is helpful 😊

The Monumento a la Familia, or Monument to the Family, is a beautiful and meaningful landmark located in Mazatlan, Mexico. This impressive structure celebrates the essence of family unity and values through its intricate sculptures that depict love and connection among family members. Positioned conveniently near the iconic Mazatlan sign along the vibrant malecon, it offers stunning views of the beach area. Visitors can easily stroll to this monument from nearby resorts while enjoying a leisurely walk along the malecon's scenic path.

While it may not be the main attraction, its proximity to more significant sites makes it an ideal stop. The area boasts delightful street food options and offers stunning views of the Malecon, especially during sunset when the sky transforms into a canvas of colors. Playa Marino nearby is picturesque, making it an excellent spot for daytime photo shoots or evening captures as the sun dips below the horizon.
Great place to check out. It's full of history and provides a great view of the malecon

New museum in Mazatlan. Pay by donation at the front. Really nice design on all the information boards with interesting history and beautiful views. It's all in Spanish so if you can't read the language, it would be nice to bring a guide with you. I have an intermediate level of Spanish so I did well reading it all but my brain was tired after :) I also really liked the postcards and the cannon /fort outside.

Isla de la Piedra, or Stone Island, is a charming getaway located just off the coast of Mazatlan, Mexico. A quick boat ride transports you to this serene paradise where you'll find stunning beaches lined with swaying palm trees and inviting crystal-clear waters. It's an ideal spot for relaxation—whether you're lounging on the soft sand or savoring fresh seafood at one of the beachside eateries.
Great beach! My wife wanted to go to this beach and see what was going on. I was not interested because I wanted to stay in Mazatlan and enjoy the city. Reluctantly I decided to go with her. We got to the ferry and paid $40 pesos each for the ride over and back. It was a five minute ride. When we got off people started walking left but we went straight because a restaurant guy led us to the beach ahead. Walked through a rocky area which was not very sturdy but got to the beach okay. The beach was very nice and beautiful. And the water was calm. Very amazing. We walked for a while and picked a restaurant by the end of the beach. We got food and drinks and were allowed to use their lounge chairs and beach umbrellas for free. We stayed there eating and drinking and going to get our feet wet in the water. It was so nice and relaxing. We stayed there until we had to get back. The last ferry to the mainland was at 6 pm. We loved our stay so much that we came back a few more times and did the same thing. I highly recommend a trip to Isla de la piedra. You won't regret it. 😊

I called it love Island, taxis to take you to the islands beach, restaurant on the beach under cabanas. Ate shrimp ceviche, and had a Pacifica beer. Later kick back on a hammock sleep for an hour, got a taxi back to boat, and back to main land of Mazatlan❣

Nasty trashy beach. You'd think they would clean up in order to generate good reviews and more business. Disgusting Beach. No Pride in what could be a really nice beach.

A very comfortable place, beautiful views, lots of activities to do, people are so friendly and nice, I felt at home. There are some parts that are more touristy, but other feel more rustic and very local, we really like the place. Fresh sea food, we baught morning caught oister and fish. The beach is flat for several feet, no hard waves, it's ideal for smalls kids and family. Stay at a "Palapa", you'll enjoy it. There are two water crossings in boats and one by land(road right near the airport). I recommend the crossing by la "puntilla"

Callejón Liverpool in Mazatlan, Mexico is a surprising tribute to the Beatles. Visitors can take pictures with life-size statues of the Fab Four and even cross the street with them. The alley features an entrance to the Cavern Club, a yellow submarine, an English phone booth, and walls adorned with performance announcements. While it can get crowded at times, it's a fun spot for photo opportunities and feels like a little slice of England in Mexico.
Cute place to definitely check out. It's free and close to the cathedral and historic district.

The field is centrally located, clean, and well-guarded, providing ample seating for large crowds. While it may lack some maintenance, it serves as an organized venue for various events including COVID-19 vaccinations.

Went to watch Lucha libre wrestling event on a Saturday night. The area in the evening is a bit sketchy, but due to it being a family event there was a police presence which made it a comfortable environment. The venue is a covered open-air basketball gymnasium, it was clean. I went with my wife, and she said that the (womens) bathroom did not have toilet paper or toilet seats - sorry ladies, you're gonna have to hover and bring a napkin. My experience here was enjoyable, but that is due to being thoroughly entertained by the Mexican wrestlers preforming. Probably not a place you would go to if there wasn't a specific event going on. It does not have any sightseeing value for most people. Cost of the taxi to and from the Golden Zone was 300 pesos each way. My rating is based on the toilet facilities - add a star if there was toilet paper and toilet seats.

Star Fleet Sport Fishing Charters offers an exceptional fishing experience in Mazatlan, renowned as the billfish capital of the world. This vibrant destination is perfect for anglers eager to catch impressive species like blue and black marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, dorado, wahoo, and grouper. The best months for fishing are July and August when the Pacific waters teem with these magnificent fish.
I have been fortunate enough to go out on 4 trips with Star Fleet since moving to Mazatlán. First time was a sunset cruise hosted by Kurt himself, with delicious appetizers from his families restaurant, La Olivia. 2nd and 3rd times were fishing outings with my mates and Captain Chris. Both times hooked into large Marlins, as well as Dorado and Tuna. The third time was especially unique, as we asked Chris to take us out for Tuna. We found a pod of thousands of dolphins that created white water as far as the eye could see, about 20 miles out. The tuna we’re hitting like crazy and it was an experience non of us could have imagined and will remember forever. I still have tuna in my freezer here in Mazatlán. 4th time was just a week ago for whale watching and Stat Fleet delivered again! Tracked down several pods of whales and saw the usual assortment of seals, sea turtles and even jumping sting rays. These guys are class all the way! Transportation can be arranged to and from the Marina for you and if you want, they can arrange a local restaurant right in the beach to prepare some of your fresh catch. Highly, highly recommend to anyone for all the above open ocean adventures. ¡Muchas gracias Kurt, Bill y Chris cómo siempre! ¡Nos vemos pronto!
Conor S — Google review
Chris was my captain and Antonio the deckhand. I started heading out with my 8year old and he panicked and said he felt motion sickness. Chris was very nice and turned us back. Bill was able to help get a red truck taxi to take my son back to the resort where family was waiting and I was able to go back out alone. We caught a nice Marlin right away and saw about 30 others but not many were biting. Toward the end of the trip we caught a 180lb (Chris guessed) Striped Marlin. Antonio helped me reel it in. I saw many sea turtles, a whale, and sail fish jumping. Weather was beautiful and I’m thankful Kurt, Chris, Bill, and Antonio made it a great experience after a rough start.

Caught our limit (well there is no limit, but we ran out of bait) in an hour! Over 60 fish. Had more time, so they took us over to the island to fight a half dozen jack fish and then went whale watching. Cleaned up the fish for us for dinner. Captain Chris is great. Curt runs a nice business!

Had a great time fishing the Reel Bueno with Captain Chris. He was very knowledgeable and patient. When the captain changes baits/lures after a few hours of no luck, you know you are in with the right charter. Kurt was great to work with, very responsive and affordable. He arranged a taxi both directions which made it really easy. His father Bill met us at the dock to greet us in the morning. We were lucky enough not only to get one of my son's bucket list fish, but two! We also saw a bunch of jumping porpoises, manta rays, and even a shark that jumped like 5ft out of the water. I've fished many charters throughout Mexico and these guys are legit.

This is one of the best experiences of my life! Kurt, Bill, and their crew were awesome! I was solo fishing so Chris, the captain, talked to me the whole time, they knew what they were doing and they knew the right places to be! We caught Mahi Mahi, hooked on to two Blue Marlin and I was able to land one of them! I can't say enough about these guys and the experience they provided.

We took some to a local restaurant where they cooked it up into a nice meal! The owner was really professional and communicated every detail of the cost and requirements.....no surprises!

These guys are great. No planned dives were scheduled but Tiny, our DM, came in on his day off. Carlos was an excellent host and made sure our gear was ready to go.
Chris W — Google review
The worst diving experience. First, it was incredibly expensive. When I arrived they told me my second tank dive was already cancelled due to weather. Then why go on the first dive? For my money. They sent only the dive master and myself out in the boat with huge swells on the ocean. No one to watch the boat or assist the two divers in the water. No dive watch. No communication board. No dive plan. Absolutely nothing. Visibility was less than 5 feet with nothing to see in the water. There were only puffer fish and dead coral. On top of it he ended my $135 usd a tank dive at 1500 PSI (half a tank) because he was cold. Half a tank, less than 30 min in the water. Very dangerous, very expensive and very disappointing. Don’t book here.

I booked a scuba trip months ago, I arrived in Mazatlán today to find that they cancelled the scuba trip in less than 24 hours. I was most excited to go diving and now I cannot go. Very disappointed and trip is ruined!

Beach
El Cid Beach Club Marina is a fantastic private beach associated with the El Cid Marina resort. It offers pools, lounge chairs, restaurants, bars, and even a traditional Mexican steam bath called temazcal. Access to the beach from the resort is convenient via a harbor ferry that runs every 5-10 minutes. The spacious beach provides ample room for lounging under palapas or strolling along the shore where you can find an abundance of seashells.
This is the “private” beach that is associated with the El Cid Marina resort. Beach access from the resort is via the harbor ferry that runs back and forth every 5-10 minutes. The beach is great, plenty of space to lounge under a palapa or walk in the sand. Since it’s not really a public beach, we found more shells there than any of the other beaches that we were at. There is also a snack/drink stand, and restrooms. We didn’t visit the night club portion, but from the view from our room across the marina, it looked pretty busy a couple of the nights we stayed at El Cid.
