"I Banchi" is an intimate and elegant restaurant located in the monumental spaces of the eighteenth-century Palazzo Di Quattro. It was created by Ciccio Sultano as a contemporary reinterpretation of a traditional trattoria, offering carefully sourced dishes and wines with an informal and convivial atmosphere. The restaurant's kitchen, led by Marco Corallo, focuses on crafting simple cuisine using high-quality raw ingredients. One of the standout dishes is the Free-range Chicken.

Well, that was underwhelming! Went here with admittedly somewhat of an expectation. It was a total bust. Ravioli was fine, but it said meatballs on the menu and came with random pieces of meat. The kids version of the ravioli without meat was still the same price. Pretty steep if you ask me. The seafood pasta my wife had for >>20€ didn’t have much seafood to speak of. Was the Chef on holiday and let the intern cook??? I will not be going back… ever…

Had lunch at this restaurant which staff provides excellent service. This restaurant is located in the back streets away from the tourist crowds. It is worth the walk. The restaurant is decorated with large modern paintings and other nice decorations. We have ordered their salads, which were nice fresh and of a sizeable portion.
Ewald H — Google review
We had a beautiful evening here! The fixed price is a great deal and it was great to have a completely vegetarian option. We started with a Sicilian champagne which was recommended by our server and was delicious. All the food and wines were great and service was well paced and attentive.

For a restaurant from “renowned chef” Cicco Sultano, I was massively disappointed. The bread served to us was obviously cut hours before and had started to go dry. Vitello tonnato - the veal was tough, really tough, the tuna sauce tasted nothing like tuna, and a Very synthetic flavour. (Didn’t eat it. Still got charged) Pasta con le sarde was sweet and less than 100g of pasta, maybe the chef used sugar instead of salt 2 x potions of pasta Norma, there was a strange purée that was effectively like having a mouthful of glue. We ordered a second bottle of water that never arrived. A completely underwhelming experience, that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. It’s a restaurant placed to take advantage of unsuspecting tourists. In my opinion. Staff are rude, unwelcoming, and honestly couldn’t care less. 3 pastas 1 water 1 veal tonnato. Was just under €80. Disgraceful.

We had a delicious dinner at I Banchi. It is more expensive than the average restaurant however it’s completely worth it if you want to “treat” yourself one night. That being said the prices are not at all exaggerated for the quality. Everything was very tasty and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The tuna also melted in your mouth. Also very nice staff. Highly recommend!

Lovely Bistrot owned by Ciccio Sultano - Micheline starred chef from the fine dining Restaurant “Il Duomo” still inside Ragusa. Basically you get an amazing meal, without having to spend 100-150€.

Perfect setting for a romantic dinner. Every dish we ordered was mouthwatering, beautifully plated and consisted of genuine Sicilian food. Highly recommended!

Located in Modica Alta, Locanda Del Colonnello offers a modern Sicilian dining experience in a charming white setting. The restaurant takes classic dishes and gives them a contemporary Sicilian twist, such as the tramezzino filled with lamb shoulder, artichoke, pecorino cheese and mint or the Roman cacio e pepe pasta made with local piacentino ennese cheese. While not all dishes may be equally impressive, the high standards are evident.
Fresh, innovative, laid back, casual, creative and bursting with flavor. One of my favorite meals in Sicily. It’s a young chefs take on Sicilian cuisine with a great natural wine selection. Exceptional service. Highly recommended.

Seriously one of the best meals i had in Sicily (and i’ve been to numerous restaurants all across the island) Very creative and beautiful dishes packed with flavour, friendly and attentive service. Lovely and casual ambience. Id love to be back soon! Keep it up and a star is yours!

Amazing Gastronomic Experience! Starting from the location, is in the top part of modica and just arriving there is a lovely walk. We ate in their lovely yard. We where offer a deal of three plates and a cocktail for 35 euros. Amazing quality price deal. Dished are nicely imagined with local products and recipes, beautifully produced and of course DELICIOUS: my favorite the Caciocavallo with vegetables. Im usually not excited by cocktails, but this ones where specially good. Desserts also worth trying. People working there are also very nice and friendly.
Clara C — Google review
If you’re looking for contemporary Sicilian flavours look no further. Absolutely beautiful food served in a beautiful courtyard by great staff. Of you’re in Modica then this place should be on the list!!
Hugo C — Google review
We enjoyed a leisurely dinner at this local restaurant. Servings are quite generous, so we shared several courses and tried a larger variety of flavors. The food is prepared with care and creativity.
Ellen W — Google review
Nice concept, distracted waiters. Location was uncomfortable and distant. The old location on the pictures seemed much nicer. Music very silent from one side. The other speaker seemed to be broken. Taste of Food was ok but all in all it appeals unloving ! What a pity...
Max C — Google review
We, a family of four, ordered different courses which we shared between us. Truffles pasta was absolutely the best order and was probably the best I ever had. The other courses were also very good and well cooked. The service was impeccable.
Hans W — Google review
The service was very chaotic. The server came after 30 minutes to take the order. Then the drinks came after the food. Then the main course came all random so we ate all seperate times since the plates came 20 minutes apart. They forgot. They apologized but nothing compensated. Would not recommend. Food was average

Gli Orti di San Giorgio is a charming spot located in Modica, offering a delightful experience for visitors. Nestled under beautiful olive trees and overlooking the town, it provides a rustic and picturesque setting. The staff, while efficient, could be more welcoming. However, the food is not only well-presented but also delicious.
Superb restaurant. Excellent food and service with a great view. The central quiet location, the layout of the tables with the trees giving shade during a hot summer day is just perfect. The staff had a good command of English and was very kind.
Tamás B — Google review
This place is magical! The atmosphere is unique and the staff is very friendly and polite! It is really a romantic place and the view is breathtaking! I highly recommend it! If I ever visit Modica again, I will definitely visit you guys again!
Dimitar A — Google review
Lovely lovely terrace and setting. Food was below average for Italy, I would say. Nothing overly special. The front of house staff was kind and nice, however, our food took a whooping 45min to arrive to the table. The dishes we ordered were salad based and the restaurant was not busy at all which did not justify the tardiness at all.
Fernando B — Google review
After a wonderful day walking this beautiful town, finding the perfect spot to cool off, relax & delight yourself with delicious food, Gli Orti Di ssn Georgio, was not only exactly what we were looking for but more. Beautiful location overlooking Modica, under wonderful olive trees. Rustic decor. Ok staff, in need of more friendly welcoming, but service was basic regardless. Food was not only well presented, but on time, beautifully & deliciously prepared. A true 5 sense experience. Highly recommend it.
RAM I — Google review
Wonderful location with a wonderful view over Modica. Drinks are fairly expensive compared to the rest of Modica (5€ for 330ml draft beer, which was very tasty however!) but otherwise this is a great spot!
Christopher R — Google review
Great view with great drinks. We would recommend everyone to check out the bar with it's great view over Modica situated in the city centre in a small forest. Try out the Siciliy Spritz, it was phenomenal!
Paul F — Google review
A wonderful aperitivo bar/café with a variety of delicious food and drinks. Very tasty combinations, for example a toast with olive paste, cheese and artichokes. Beautiful place to sit below the trees, hidden between a small garden next to the stairs at the feet of the Duomo. Absolutely recommended.

Nestled in the ancient Ragusa Ibla, San Giorgio Palace Hotel offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with its spacious rooms and suites that boast contemporary design and stunning valley views. The hotel's location is convenient for exploring the area, and guests can indulge in a delicious breakfast spread each morning. The property seamlessly blends modern amenities with the island's ancient rocks, offering a unique experience.
Beautiful building, wonderful customer service from reception to breakfast, everyone was friendly, helpful and cordial. Perfectly located to explore both the new Ragusa and the older Ibla, which is a 10 minute walk or less. Lovely views off the terrace and the top rooms.
Patricia B — Google review
As a couple we stayed two nights at this hotel. Most everything is a very good value. The breakfast buffet was substantial. The service is very good. The rooms are spacious, well maintained, modern and with excellent showers. The one criticism is the mattress was worn with permanent depressions in a pattern where people lay down. The location is central access for walking in the old city. Some suites have a balcony with vista views. A reasonable price for the location and accommodations.
T. C — Google review
Very nice Hotel. The lady at the reception was amazing. The room was big and modern, first hotel I go to that has a super silent AC! The shower was a bit dated but worked perfectly. Close to the city center! Only improvement point the breakfast: service is not great and variety is bare minimum. Will be back and would recommend (not for breakfast tho).
Sam P — Google review
The San Giorgio is a beautiful hotel. The service is excellent, the views, excellent, the breakfast buffet also excellent. However, the room we stayed in on the reception floor was nothing to write home about. It was small, quite cramped actually and we couldn't even use the mirror because it was inside the closet door which we couldn't open all the way. Also, the beds were single beds. For this type of hotel, I was expecting larger beds. The bathroom was very nice however.
Raf C — Google review
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Great location. I believe I had one of the premium rooms because I had a terrace. My room itself was a bit small, but clean, comfortable, and functional. The breakfast buffet was good. Staff was helpful and accommodating.
Jan S — Google review
My goodness what an amazing hotel! It’s so beautiful!!! The location inside of a cliff that used to be a Catholic Monastery is super cool! Also it’s in the middle of Ragusa Ibla, so fantastic location. The rooms are very new and clean, and the staff is super kind and the very nice boss, he upgraded our room to two beds because of my large sleeping habits at night so my mother could sleep peacefully. That was super nice. Made us very happy. Also, the breakfast was very nice each morning, nice and quality variety of varying fresh foods. We loved our stay here!
Gugu M — Google review
I fell in love with this place! It is amazing: perfect and clean rooms, a good breakfast and the staff is really nice. It is in the center of Ragusa, the kind of place everyone enjoys to stay away from reality, since it looks like a dream. 🩵🩵

This is an absolute hidden gem: Wonderful staff (housekeeping, reception, manager, … you name it), accessible, walkable, in the middle of everything while pretty cozy, wonderful breakfast food and breakfast vennue, … Cheers
