The Duomo di San Giorgio, a baroque Catholic church completed in 1775, is a masterpiece adorned with sculptures and paintings by renowned artists. The cathedral's elongated shape dominates the piazza and features an impressive facade characterized by three orders, including a central tower enclosing the bell tower and terminating with an onion spire.
This is a large and beautiful church. A really cool city and area to explore.

Superb monument. Looks great from all nearby streets. Wonderful backdrop to the town of Ibla. Do yourself a favour and go visit this church even if to only stick your head inside for a few minutes.
Mark M — Google review
Beautiful church that leaves a lasting impression on you. It looks out over a square which is also a great place to hang for a while. There weren’t many people around so it was very pleasant.
Ruth R — Google review
Majestic Duomo sitting high above the square with a massive iron fence and gate. Impressive. As we passed through the square today, we noticed a wedding had just taken place, and the doors were open, and we ventured in. Breathtaking structure with a main altar surrounded by red velvet curtain. The side chapels are impressive by themselves with marble altars and huge paintings. The details inside the Duomo are worth the visit if you travel to Ragusa.
Jamie W — Google review
Ornate The Duomo di San Giorgio in Ragusa is a stunning example of Sicilian Baroque architecture, perched at the top of a dramatic flight of stairs. Entry is free, making it a must-visit landmark. The ornate façade and peaceful interior offer a memorable cultural and spiritual experience, with beautiful frescoes and intricate details. A true highlight of Ragusa!
Onbarefeet — Google review
A truly imposing church in Ragusa. It can be seen from the lower side of the square and gives you a sense of superiority. I visited it during Holy Week and also attended the rehearsals for the church organ. It is worth seeing. The place does not have a ticket.

Built in 1858 by volunteers, the garden sits atop a rock spur at an altitude of 385 meters, providing magnificent views over the valley below.
A very calm and beautiful spot for a short walk with enough shadow to hide from the sun. We really enjoyed the afternoon here with nice food from around the corner.

Beautiful and well maintained garden featuring a small playground for children. It makes a good starting point for your exploration of the historical part of Ragusa, especially if you park your car at the adjacent paid parking area. Definitely worth the visit.

Beautiful park with impressive architecture and plenty of seating in the sun as well as in the shadows. Lots of cats, dogs are allowed and the cats are fine with it, no drama.

A lovely garden with amazing views of the valley below . You will find washrooms on the site . A good array of flowers but it depends on the time of year you visit . The site is well maintained and a great place for kids to play in the playground. Take a break and relax .

Palazzo Arezzo Di Trifiletti is a historic palace located in Ragusa, Italy. Originally dating back to the 1500s, it has undergone several changes over the years. The neoclassical style of the palace makes it an elegant and notable structure in the town. Following its destruction in the 1693 earthquake, it was rebuilt and completed in the mid-19th century.
Had the pleasure to enjoy a private tour of the palazzo and another two nearby atrractions included in the tour. For the Pallazzo the guide was one of Arezzo Di Trifiletti' family members. Definitely a must visit all three attractions. Guiding available in Italian or English, with prior booking. Do not miss!!!

Wonderful palazzo in such a great condition of restoration. Special thanks to Domenico Arezzo for his guided tour in English. Only pity that only some rooms are open to public as the palazzo is actually a house hosting the family even nowadays. A must see!

We enjoyed very much the visit to all three sites: Zona archeologica, Casa museo Uccello, Palazzo Cappellani. But we were unpleasantly surprised by the lack of brochures, as we were given one recycled booklet for 4 of us, written in Italian and French, that had to be returned at the exit of the zona archeologica. There was also no option for purchasing anything in italian or any other language. Anywhere you go in the world, museums offer free small booklets or more extensive ones for purchase. Not at Palazzolo Acreide. We were also surprised by the lack of street signage to guide us to the Casa museo Uccello and to Palazzo Cappellani. Palazzo Cappellani did not even have a visible sign at the door. Palazzo Cappellani, furthermore, would benefit by some form of multi language translation of all the explanatory notes at each artifact. It is an amazing work in progress but it needs some user friendly fine tuning.

Ragusa Cathedral is a large, lavish Roman Catholic cathedral built in the 1700s. It features a small museum of religious art and relics, as well as lovely baroque architecture. The cathedral is one of the best places to visit in Ragusa, and is great for admiring its beauty in the evening.
I would say it is the most beautiful church in town, the interior design is full of interesting details. Exterior part also nice to enjoy as there has been a lot of work placed in this building. Now the best part and something that you can't miss from the city is the view from the top of the bell tower, you get a really nice view and it give you a feel of how the city looks like and a view of how the old part of town will feel.
Stefan T — Google review
The cathedral itself is beautiful, but the view from the bell tower is breathtaking. You have a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city of Ragusa and the surrounding landscape. The central portal is enormous and elegant, richly decorated with carvings and statues. Monumental columns and decorated side portals further embellish the façade.Very beautiful regular geometry of the temple inside. Excellent, well trimmed trees at the entrance. The possibility of having an audio guide or guide should be added to avoid reading very long papyrus every now and then.Wide stairs lead to the entrance. The interiors are full of details that keep you looking up for the entire duration of your visit.
Jitendra P — Google review
A beautiful church with a very nice square outside. Inside the church there is a ticket with a cost of 3 euros to climb the bell tower. Inside the church you will not find anything special because it is just a normal church. Outside on the right as you will see in the photo I uploaded it has a very beautiful fountain. It is worth seeing the attraction during your walk in the city.

Construction work on the palace, owned by the Nicastro Family, began in the first half of the 18th century. It was completed in 1760, as an extension of another building still visible thanks to the presence of the old stable. The main façade overlooks a small square in which two branches of the long staircase connect, once the only communication route between the upper and lower districts of the city. Set in the steep and only road that originally connected Ragusa Superiore and Ragusa Inferiore, it has a rather narrow façade, delimited by two showy pilasters, characterized by a beautiful sculpted portal. Above there is an elegant balcony supported by five large shelves engraved with embroidery and overlooking a refined, richly decorated French window. Two other balconies, similar to the main one but less protruding, decorate the side façade. Ponte Vecchio, also known as Ponte dei Cappuccini, is a picturesque bridge in Ragusa Superiore that connects the modern part of the city to its oldest section. This area is often referred to as the 'City of Bridges' due to the presence of three charming bridges, including Ponte Nuovo and Ponte San Giovanni. As you wander through the streets of Ragusa, you'll encounter the stunning Palazzo Cosentini, a prime example of Baroque architecture with its elegant balconies adorned with intricate mythical figures. Nearby, Palazzo Bertini boasts vaults adorned with three masks representing different societal roles. The Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista in Piazza San Giovanni is a sight to behold, showcasing magnificent baroque art on its facade.
Bit of a hike depending where you're coming from, but worth seeing the scary faces.
Dan M — Google review
This is one of the most beautiful Baroque palaces in Ibla. Built in the second half of the 18th century, its features are four magnificent — and curious — balconies: the “Maldicenza” (Slander), the “Cantastorie” (Singer), the “Benessere” (Well-being) and the “Gentiluomo” (Gentleman). The first overlooks the narrow slope that was originally the only road connecting Ragusa Inferiore and Ragusa Superiore, while the other three overlook the current Corso Mazzini, which was not as important then as it is today. In fact, the elegant and imposing main entrance of the palace still opens onto the Salita Commendatore. Each balcony is supported by five trunks, each sculpted with two overlapping figures related to the story being described. All, however, are extraordinary figures, often grotesque, clearly intended to surprise passersby. And they succeed.

When in Italy, a visit to the Chiesa di San Vincenzo Ferreri in Ragusa is a must.
