Grease Monkey is a casual dining spot known for its burgers, fried chicken, and American-style pizza. The menu features a variety of comfort food options such as cocktails and milkshakes. Customers have enjoyed the generous portions of burgers with fresh buns and crispy Portobello mushrooms. The eatery also offers promotions like 'tight Tuesdays' where patrons can enjoy a free drink with their burger orders.
First time in Australia, loving the city layout and places to go. Grease Monkey is right near our hotel and a perfect choice for a group setting. I enjoyed the full range of beer on tap and a couple of their sandwiches. Looking for a burger? Perfect place, I also had this Philly cheese Steak. Not quite like the United States but still good. I also recommend the pizza place next store. It’s funny, I traveled half way around tfw world and found Detroit style pizza. Never had it before. It was good but I’m from Chicago. 😉 Highly recommend these establishments. A+
Kurt S — Google review
Absolutely delicious! The Detroit-style pizza was perfectly crispy on the edges and loaded with flavor — one of the best I’ve had. The mac and cheese bites were golden, creamy, and addictive — a must-try! On top of that, the customer service was exceptional. Friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!
Debora L — Google review
Had heard sooo much about this place and their pizzas and finally made a visit here through EatClub! Found the options fairly limited for vegetarians, but realised you could customise any pizza to a vegetarian one so that was cool!🤩 The ambience is super nice and we came here around 3pm (off peak hours perhaps) so it was super quiet with only us at the restaurant haha. They also have really nice heaters across so it was super comfy and cosy dining here :) We got loaded fries which were lightly seasoned (loved that hehe) and I got a continental pizza slice. The slices by itself are very filling so would recommend getting the slice itself if you’re ordering for 1 pax. It’s very cheesy and frankly kinda heavy HAHA and even though we were quite hungry, some of us weren’t able to finish it xD For its price and quality of pizzas + cosy ambience, I’d definitely say Grease Money is worth a visit with friends! :D
Aashmika V — Google review
Great spot. Pizza slice is a good size so don’t be put off by the name. The wings are spicy. They also play the footy here.
Sam W — Google review
Detroit style pizza as a late lunch/ early dinner. Nice and fluffy base and topping were a great combo. Also had 50c wings (lingering heat) & chips - well seasoned (not pictured as demolished by the family) Lots of food deals which are great value! Truffle Mac and cheese bites are super truffle flavoured and cheesy which were also good Good beer selection and nice place to sit and watch footy or nrl with tunes in the background
Kathleen M — Google review
Fantastic experience. Supreme pizza was amazing. Very different to other pizzas and very flavourful. We added jalapeños. Smash burger meal was huge. Milk bun was delicious.
JACINTA P — Google review
Visited GM in Braddon last night and got the 'Greasy' Burger with the side of chips and a drink. The food arrived to the table pretty quickly and was warm. However, my Burger was raw in the middle (a close inspection showed it was raw in some areas of the patty and other areas were cooked through). I took one bite and that was it for the Burger. Couldn't be bothered to take it up to the counter and make a fuss infront of everyone. Pretty disappointing to spend $26 for a meal when the main item was inedible.
T M — Google review
The portion sizes and quality of the food were good, though foods were a bit fatty and greasy. The fries served on the side were generous, but some items, like the sauce on the supreme pizza, felt a bit overdone. The restaurant was fully booked on Friday night, making it hard to find good seating, especially for large groups and families.

Japanese restaurant
Asian fusion restaurant
Welcome to Baby, a delightful fusion eatery that beautifully marries Japanese and Korean flavors. This vibrant spot is perfect for those on the go, offering an array of healthy bowls and bao-gers that are sure to satisfy your cravings. Whether you're in the mood for teriyaki salmon rice, a hearty noodle bowl, or their signature fried chicken ramen, Baby has something delicious waiting for you. The atmosphere at Baby is casual and inviting—no reservations needed!
Always a great atmosphere, lovely staff and great food. Would recommend
Playgrounds_ C — Google review
Centrally located in the city west precinct, Baby offers quick meals that satisfy your hunger. Ramen noodles, bao burgers, poke boela and more. Or even design your own noodle bowl. Most items are around $20. You can order either at the counter or via the QR code at the table. Service is quick and friendly.
Soniqbuoy — Google review
Positive: Friendly service. Pork was tasting good. Negative: Ramen was like noodles in a bowl full of soy sauce. Very disappointing. As a big fan of ramen, I found this experience traumatic.
Angela F — Google review
Vibey little restaurant that gave off a cool Japanese cafe atmosphere inside. My partner and I both ordered ramen, one fried chicken and one pork, which were both very tasty and full of flavour. My only complaint would be that they could have been a little more generous with the pork serving. Nice little touch was able to add how much spice we wanted in our ramen ourselves, as it arrived on the side. We also ordered some waffle fries with teriyaki mayo- absolutely delicious, but I would recommend getting a small serving as they are quite sweet and flavour fatigue hits quickly. All the dishes arrived fairly quickly, and the waitress that served us was polite.
Ella — Google review
Visited Baby for a weekday lunch. Ordered the salmon poke bowl. The meal came out fairly quickly. Decent portion size The bowl was flavourful and well balanced
Cyril R — Google review
The speed that the meals come out here is impressive, how carefully everything is presented is fantastic. It would be great if you could just order bao on its own without the fries - when though they are delicious too. The ramen bowls have a great balance of the proteins and everything else, so you get a good meal. Definitely add a little chilli, it’s not going to melt your face off but give the whole dish a little lift to compliment the depth of flavour. I’ll be back!!!
Arj P — Google review
Visited this restaurant by random selection passing through ACT on the way to Phillip Island for a track day with my partner. The customer service was good, staff were very friendly but the best part of the visit was the meal itself. The portion sizes are decent, the flavor of the food is what you would originally come here for, the pricing is reasonable but the experience is premium. (average $25pp with main + entree and a drink) The food served here caters to both Western and traditional Asian cuisine, i do not feel that anyone would leave disappointed or on an empty stomach. Was genuinely surprised at my visit and i do recommend this if your looking for a good place to eat.
Y Z — Google review
Some vegan options. I had the tofu poke bowl and my husband had the tofu bao burger. Poke bowl was really nice, but kind of small for the price. The burger was good but it had too much spring onions, the taste was really strong, but the crispy tofu, the sauce and the bun were nice. Great service. Nice place, we sat outside in the sun, it was really nice as it was a cold autumn day.

Chicken restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Fricken is a gluten-free restaurant known for its delicious fried chicken and burgers. They have a dedicated fryer to ensure that all their food is gluten-free. When you order from Fricken, each item comes with a clearly marked gluten-free label, making it easy to distinguish between gluten-free and non-gluten free options. One of their popular menu items is the Spicy Fricken Burger, which is an enhanced version of KFC's Zinger Burger.
We went here for somewhere to eat with the little one. And did not disappoint. The fried chicken strips with the cheesy mash was really nice and tasty, very filling. Thought the chicken strips were small but decent size. The cauliflower nuggets were yum too. Everything was served hot so you no it was cooked fresh! The only downside, the chicken and mash was a tad bit salty And when you pay by square pay, you do get charged a small fee But other than that food and service was great! Deff be back when visiting Braddon again
Nicole V — Google review
The Best Gluten Free fried chicken, Kat had CMG box with cheesy mash and I had the Nashville Chicken burger, we shared a plate of Gluten Free like and salt chicken ribs. Everything was delicious and crispy with no skimping on seasonings or sauce. This is a fantastic place and I'd make the 3hr drive from Sydney just to eat here! Well done!
Kip — Google review
Very nice food, chicken wasn't oily or dry. The sauce was mild and not overpowering. Young blonde staff member was very welcoming and helpful when making our choice.
David H — Google review
Trendy fried chicken joint with healthy options! Deliciously crispy without being greasy. Plenty of sauce options (try the pickle!). Extra hungry so I tucked in before I got the photo and it's missing a tender! Very good Peach Iced Tea along with other beverages available.
Kieran G — Google review
We come to Fricken often for their amazing chicken, burgers and dessert. Went again last night for the Biscoff desserts and it was a great experience. The server, Cat, treated us amazingly and made the entire experience 10/10. She looked after us so well, we couldn’t have had a better time. I could not recommend fricken more. The food is incredible and the staff are great.
Kiera S — Google review
We had catering for 250pax for our corporate event last night, delivered to ANU Kambri Cultural Centre. The food was delivered hot and on time. The crispy chicken, cauli and chicken nuggets were a hit amongst our guests. The suggested catering quantity was spot on with only crumbs leftovers! Thank you, Mo and team for a seamless catering coordination right from the start to the end!

I am surprised they have 4.4 stars. They should get straight up 5 stars. The friendly and professional staff and their customer service was so good I have to give them 5 stars, Oh and the FOOOOOOOOOOOD.... I have tried fried chicken across the globe and trust me they are in the top tier when it comes to the crunchiness, the juiciness and the tenderness of the chicken. The sriracha ice cream with sweet waffles and chicken is a must try, so is the corn, so is everything on the menu. P.S. they are Halal too.
Shah A — Google review
The most beautiful tasting chicken and by far the best chicken wings I have ever tasted (lime and sea salt). I have always had a great experience here, a definite stop off whenever I’m in Canberra!

When late-night cravings hit, B One is the go-to spot for an unforgettable Asian fusion experience. We had a lovely lunch here! The ramen was creamy and flavorful with generous toppings like wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and seaweed. The spicy seafood tofu soup was rich and comforting, perfect with a bowl of rice. The hot stone bibimbap was fresh and delicious—loved the crispy rice at the bottom! Staff were friendly and the atmosphere cozy. Will definitely come back!
Weiyi Y — Google review
The food tasted and looked just fine, except for the bibimbap, which was quite good for me. The staff was busy, so the service was not excellent. The only advantage for me was that there was no service charge on Sunday.

It’s great to have a restaurant that opens till midnight in Canberra. Great staff and environment!
Emily Z — Google review
$25.8 for Nongshim Shin Ramyun instant noodles? Unbelievable! The Uber Eats menu only said “Ramyun” and “Korean Ramen” without specifying its instant noodles. The dish was overly soupy, lacking flavor beyond spiciness. The clams were empty shells, and low-quality frozen seafood like crab sticks instead of real crab meat. Way too expensive for what tasted like glorified instant noodles.

Yummy food, I like the tender fried chickens, staff are nice too.

Chicken restaurant
Gami Chicken & Beer is a family-friendly restaurant with swift and friendly service. The authentic flavors of their dishes, such as the Tteokbokgi with a nice hint of gojuchang and chili, make for a satisfying dining experience. While the fried chicken is okay, some patrons find that the serving sizes are slightly small for kids' meals compared to other restaurants. Despite this, many appreciate the generous portions and welcoming atmosphere provided by staff like Hazel.
Been some time since I'd had some Korean food so now seemed as good time as any. I went for the Bibimbap with a tangy salad as a side. It came to roughly $30 with the food being tasty and mouth watering. If I had a larger stomach I'd have ordered it again. My friends were equally happy with their own choices so a job well done. Inside was very clean with the layout well organised. The staff were also very friendly. Will be stopping here again when I'm back in town.
Peter V — Google review
I have been to Gami several times over the past couple of years. Fried chicken and soju always go down well together. Each visit has been consistent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The chicken and sauces are delicious (and spicy). I also like the iced teas. I recommended trying Gami if you haven't already!
Mr R — Google review
The restaurant has been updated the menu (extra bonus is free meal for kids). The boneless chicken was delicious with beer. Friendly service and very quick. It was super busy when we left so be prepared to wait if you don't have a booking.
Tuyết P — Google review
I finally had a chance to visit Gami with friends! We tried the spicy fried chicken which was so crispy and yum. Not very spicy at all, I definitely want to try the buldok next! We also had a prawn mandu fried dumpling which my friends enjoyed with their honey beer. I had the Lychee Ade(non alcoholic) and loved it, ordered a 2nd one ;) Spicy chicken fried rice was great too. Lot of options on the menu, very reasonably priced and good portion size. Staff was very friendly and nice. It was busy and still they paid attention to every table. Nice cozy ambience and vibe. Will definitely visit again & explore the other dishes and drinks! P.S. They have a lot of combo deals and offers too.
Apeksha P — Google review
GAMI, WHY ARE YOU SERVING RAW CHICKEN??? 🤮 We ordered skewers (among other things) for takeaway, and were gobsmacked to discover that the very last chunk of chicken was completely raw. Not slightly undercooked but just straight-up pink and slimy. I immediately called the branch, and while the staff were polite and apologetic, they couldn’t offer an actual solution on the spot, just a promise to escalate it to the manager. In the end, the owner agreed to refund us our $10 back (the cost of the skewers and not the full bill). Yay! Thanks for the trauma, potential salmonella, and very generous $10 discount.
Cara — Google review
Worst fried chicken I ever had Ordered whole fried chicken smallest chicken for fry and over cooked missing pieces. Myself I am a chef over 20years, had food business over 8 years and I can tell you this was the worst and I never reviewed on google for this reason
Chris C — Google review
Great place for fried chicken K style in the city 🍗
Zac T — Google review
The chicken is pretty juicy but sometimes lacks flavour. The spicy option we selected wasn't very spicy at all, was probably more sweet than spicy. The Kimchi fried rice was great and the chips were overcooked and the cheesy corn wasn't juicy enough but it was alright. We only spent about $50 for two people so super affordable.

Asian fusion restaurant
Barbecue restaurant
Cocktail bar
Akiba is a modern venue in Canberra, known for its creative wood-fired Asian BBQ fare and cocktails. Voted Australia's favorite restaurant, it offers New Asian cuisine with menu highlights such as Kobe beef steak and the People's Choice-winning Vegan Laksa Soup Dumpling. The restaurant, located near Parliament House inside the Burbury Hotel, serves modern Pan-Asian food under chef Arthur Tsui.
Thank you so much for hosting us Audrey and team! The restaurant claims to be restaurant fusion where most of the dishes have been tranformed from its Japanese roots. They have lived up to their name with utmost quality and taste that underlines an asian fusion restaurant. Key callouts for mains and desserts include: Beef short ribs and jelly with tofu cheesecake. These will be in my opinion, their signature dishes ill them by. Their service was a 10/10 where they take care of you and your experience every step of the way. Thank you again for such hospitality!
Kavish P — Google review
I don’t give many reviews below 5 stars but unfortunately Akiba just missed the mark for me this time. I need to say firstly that the service was amazing, all the staff were super friendly and efficient but the stand out was Willow, she has many suggestions for drinks and dishes and even brought out a couple of complimentary things when she heard we'd driven from Wagga that night. The entrees were the stand out especially the Balmain Bug Bun and Pulled Beef Bun, after that the food seemed to be not up to their usual standard based on their good reviews. The squid was dry and over cooked almost like a jerky, potatoes and carrots were bland and tasteless, the fried chicken was also dry and all I could taste was the cheese it was covered with. The Barramundi was the best main. At the end when paying the bill there was a mistake leading to us being charged for 6 x 6 oysters instead of the 6 oysters we had, was shocked when I saw the price so had to double check but they sorted it out after a few minutes. The drinks were a let down, Willow brought us out an amazing first drink but then her shift ended and she had to go. The next 2 drinks were not the same, we tried to describe the drink Willow has brought out but they didn't match the taste and presentation was also totally different. Overall, 3 stars. Would probably come back after cycling through other Canberra restaurants first. Keen to check out Wilma also as I've heard good things. Thanks guys!

Enjoyed a Friday night dinner whilst on a weekend away from Sydney with the family. Although traffic was hectic and parking was scarce was met with the most lovely and hospitable hostess, Molly who served us on the night. Was an absolute delight and accommodating with our queries. We ordered the Lux and normal Feed Me set menu. It was filling and delicious. Few favourites of mine were the Tuna Tartare, Korean beef tar tar, balmain bug bun, miso dengaku eggplant and wagyu beef skirt. Lol. I pretty much listed the whole menu. Annnnd I really enjoyed the Miso magnum!! Yum!! Food plus amazing service made the experience even more enjoyable. Thanks again!

We had an amazing dinner tonight. The online booking was easy and our arrival was greeted with a big smile. From here we were introduced to Max. Max made everything easy. He helped with our food and sake selection and everything was delicious. All the staff are happy, attentive and knowledgeable - testament to the owners. This is an interesting Asian fusion restaurant with excellent dishes and service. Plus a fully stocked bar. We left feeling really content and wished we had something similar locally in Melbourne.
Carolyn T — Google review
We had such a fun night at Akiba! The energy was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious - especially the pork belly bao, miso eggplant, and salted caramel magnums. We were there to celebrate my son’s birthday, and it couldn’t have been more special. Visiting from Melbourne, I have to say the food would hold its own in Melbourne. A huge shoutout to Jem, our section waiter, who was super friendly, helpful, patient, and gave great advice on the dishes. Definitely recommend.
Kerstin W — Google review
Inexplicably we were seated in front of the very talented Ash, the Chef at the Raw Bar. Her talents are exemplary and the food she made was delicious. The luckiest seats in the house. Willow bubbled right over to us and kept our mood bright and the drinks flowing. The Akiba has a real vibe. One of the quintessential places to visit in Canberra. Miss it at your own peril!
Dianne H — Google review
We had my brother’s birthday dinner here tonight and it was so great! The food was absolutely delicious (would recommend everything eggplant!), the vibe was super fun and energetic (but not too loud), and the service was great! In particular our section waiter Jem was really helpful and kind, and even gave us dessert on the house for my brother’s birthday! Overall 100% recommend 😊
Malia W — Google review
Tonight we walked in to Akiba without a booking. The friendly waiter mentioned there would be a 15 minute wait. We were brought to our table and Willow our waitress was very friendly and helpful when ordering. We ordered the spare rib 100%, the chicken and prawn rice. The meals were absolutely amazing but the standout meal was the beef spare rib. In Canberra for only 4 days but a definite must to return

KorBQ is a trendy, laid-back eatery in Canberra that puts a modern twist on Korean dishes, particularly BBQ. The restaurant offers a fusion of Asian and Western flavors, creating an exceptional dining experience. Whether you're dining solo or with friends, expect to be greeted by a warm ambiance and delectable food. The menu features Korean fried chicken, deep-fried octopus, and chicken skin crackling.
We have a great experience here every time we visited. Their quality of foods, any products and service was amazing. We had come here since previous price of buffet. Even though the price is being currently increased, we are still pleasure to visit regularly whenever we have chance to.

I had an excellent experience at KorBQ. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the prices for everything were reasonable, the food was delicious and served in large portions, and the atmosphere was very good. Overall, it's a perfect score!
Peter N — Google review
Had the weekday buffet. Ordered sooooo many snacks 😆 Snowy cheese corn, kimchi pancakes, chicken skin cracklings, ox bone soup, loaded fried chicken and chili fried chicken. The corn was amazing! Pancakes were a bit too thick, not crunchy enough. Crackers were great, not too oily and super flavorful. Bone soup was a bit too salty and the meat inside was too difficult to chew 😂 Fried chicken was a bit too dry but still good! Also had some beef and pork, along with mussels and butter garlic mixed seafood. All were okay. Their stove was a bit hard to control and required some extra effort 😝
YuWan鱼丸 — Google review
we accidentally came in half an hour before our reservation and the man on shift was so nice about it and let us begin early. He was the only one on shift but provided amazing service and made the experience 100 times better!
Ashton — Google review
We recently went to KorBQ for their buffet, which was $46.90 per person. They had a good variety of meats and sides including soups, fried chickens, rice and other sides and condiments. Overall the quality of the meat was ok. A lot of the meat was quite fatty, which generally adds to the flavour, but by the end you feel a bit queasy eating all that fat. Things we wouldn't order again: t-bone steak (it was very tough) and the matsusaka pork (which was very very fatty). Things we'll be back for: shallot oil mussel and karubi flat.

We had a nice dinner here. Service is a bit scant. It was difficult to flag down a waiter, even with only a few other people there for our 6pm dinner. We spent about 2 hours here. The kimchi pancake didn't come out until 1.5 hours after ordering it, when they told us on delivering it that they'd had to make a new batch. It was great when it did finally come, as I stood to leave. I had asked about it a second time about 45 minutes after ordering it and the waiter went away. Food was good quality overall but service could be better. Favourites were kimchi pancake and fried chicken. Beer menu was a bit limited.

The service here was absolutely beautiful! I was very nervous coming in because of other reviews mentioning poor service or long wait times, but was pleasantly surprised by how attentive and well mannered our waiter was. My group of 4 had the pork bone hotpot, which was delicious but a little spicy. This place is definitely a hidden gem and deserves 100% more foot traffic in there!

This was a fun experience. The beef was delicious and the spicy fried chicken was yum. The range of soju was good, I recommend the peach. There are a few things that need improvement. The table was really sticky, the menu was really dirty and the bathroom was pretty gross. They don't even have sanitary bins. The light above the table doesn't work, would have been cool to see the restaurant all lit up. Near the front of the store is just a whole bunch of cleaning and junk being stored. Kinda unappealing to see that when you first walk in. Apart from that, the service was good, the food came out in a timely manner and it was reasonable pricing. We got the 4 person banquet for 5 people, it was plenty of food.

Nestled in the vibrant Tiger Lane precinct, Mrs Wang is a modern Australian Chinese restaurant that beautifully marries traditional flavors with contemporary flair. This culinary gem invites both seasoned food enthusiasts and those seeking comfort in familiar tastes to indulge in an exciting gastronomic experience. The Express Lunch for $35 per guest is perfect for leisurely gatherings with friends, making it an ideal spot to unwind during the week.
Cute little find on our first night in Canberra. Easy to book online and a friendly greeting on arrival. Pleasing aesthetics with plenty of room between tables and very clean. We enjoyed the tasting menu and the food was well presented and flavoursome. Each serve was spaced out well, so we didn't get too full too quick. I found a new favourite cocktail called the Caspian. Service itself was great, the staff were friendly however it did take a while to get someones attention to order drinks. Still I do highly recommend a visit next time you're in Canberra

We passed by and saw yum cha buffet. As ‘big eaters’ who had not had yum cha for ages thought this would work. It turned out the portions are too big - for Yumcha. The best would be small portions (or each item is delicate and small) and many options so the experience would be fun to try each type but small quality. The items are so big for each dish after 3 or 4 varieties 2 dishes I was full but because there are many others to come I had to eat more - as I would not want to miss out. 😅 and turned out I am full now at 9pm. That is not optimal as you want to enjoy food not to stuff yourself but again you can’t stop after eating 4 items. The bad thing about this buffet: NO MENU is available So they bring push cart with items for you to choose So you don’t know what you will get or if you want to prioritise for items you really love to eat- this is very much the case for me - when the items I love came I was stuffed and experienced diminished utility effect. Tea was great - Jasmine and puer also complete with still or sparkling water - which helped digestion Services is not bad but as the place Is not full (every time I come a few tables of clients) there are only a few working - not possible to be always available. So this place is for REAL big eater or pls go for ala carte - choose what you love and eat just the right amount. The Kai lan stem / stalk? was very dry I could not swallow it. And as I lived in Singapore home to wonderful yum cha the dishes are very fresh generous portion but NOT authentic … Gave 4 stars as 3 would be not fair - maybe 3.5. I did go for lunch 2 times - affordable and good. One time the fried rice had some frozen peas (and I told the staff that day as a friendly feedback.) The environment is a bit too dum for me makes me feel a bit drowsy but this is very personal. If you observe the kitchen is shared with the outside Golden Duck. 😆

So glad to see Mrs. Wang’s reopen in Canberra! This spot has always been a go-to for classic Chinese comfort food, and the refreshed space still holds onto that warm, familiar charm. We came in not long after they reopened, and while a couple of dishes took a bit longer than expected, the flavors absolutely delivered. The bao's were tender, juicy, and full of flavour. The sweet and sour pork had the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the "harvest" was fresh and vibrant. Service was friendly and welcoming, and you could tell the staff were excited to be back in business. It’s clear they’re still finding their rhythm after the reopening, but the quality and care are definitely there. Looking forward to returning as they settle back in, it’s great to have this local favorite back on the scene!

Saw the posters advertising Singapore styled crab, decided to give it a go. Became members of Tiger Lane to get a discount. Enjoyed the starter of eggplant chips, best I’ve had! So crisp! Yet soft inside. It’s hard to get that balance. They came and showed us our crab before cooking it. Ordered plain rice and fried bread to eat with it. Unfortunately they ran out of rice , and had to wait til more was boiled. But they were so kind to take it off our bill. Whoever said this is more white washed restaurant, have you tried the Singapore crab. It cleared my sinuses. Could have been fried a bit less but it was very tasty. Such a good looking restaurant, all red and gold. Nice and intimate.

We had a wonderful experience at Mrs Wang. The food was excellent, all dishes was extremely fresh, highly recommended!!! And once again a huge THANK YOU to Sicilia for an amazing service! Some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had and the best Asian food in Canberra! So so tasty and fabulous atmosphere and service was fantastic thanks so our lovely waitress Sicilia who recommended the soup dumplings - amazing. Will definitely be back! What a hidden gem

Creative and excellently prepared. We went for a range of dumplings and little dishes, and everything was spot on. Really enjoyed the “strange taste” eggplant, with good balance and a nice chilli touch. Duck pancakes were also a highlight. Will certainly be back.

Excellent food. Great vegan options. The chef noticed one of us was vegan so offered vegan pancakes when my friends ordered the duck ones. Cold eggplant dish is truly delicious. Excellent service. Good wine list and loved the atmosphere.

Reload Bar & Games is a popular venue in Canberra that offers a unique combination of gaming and nightlife. It's the go-to spot for those looking to enjoy video and board games while sipping on cocktails or indulging in Cajun style food. The bar features a beer garden, outdoor deck areas, and a dance floor for patrons to show off their moves. Since its opening in 2014, Reload has become the largest pop culture and video game bar in the country.
Great atmosphere and drinks. They have Mario cart and guitar hero, and other games free to play. We went on a Saturday night and wasn’t overly crowded. The DJ was also very good. Highly recommend it!
Scarlett Z — Google review
I asked for a jug of Reload Lager to be met with a $40 price tag on the screen. Asked if that was correct and bartender agreed - but I can live with overly expensive beer. Harder pill to swallow was when the bartender poured a 90% full jug. I asked if that would fill 3 schooners, they confirmed, I asked if they were certain, they confirmed. I proceeded to pour out 2 reasonably filled schooners but couldn’t fill the 3rd to halfway… Will not be spending anything there again

Went there on Wed evening with friends and colleagues. It was quite fun, especially the card games. They have got xbox and other games as well, though we didn't really play. Food was good, we ordered most of the items from Small Bytes, Kilobytes and Megabytes menu. Vegetarian Momos and Nachos were delicious. Excellent customer service. We will return for sure. Recommended for groups.

SUPER expensive venue hire. Mortified we had to pay $75/hr for 3 pool tables on top of costly venue hire. Surely this cost should be incorporated in hire fee. Food expensive & kitchen closed at 8pm on Sat night. 2 staff were fine, 1 didn't want to be there. Ladies toilets are DISGUSTING! Look like they've never been cleaned. Certainly needs addressing. Hire a cleaner! Or new staff duty. Unacceptable state! The part goers had a great night but GREAT expense! Potential but would love to see money put back into the place.

Worst chicken schnitzel ever. Nothing like the menu showed. The chook on the menu looked like she had a good life and a worthy death. The chook on my plate had a history of trauma and addiction issues.

Bleachers Sports Bar in Canberra is a great choice if you're after a laid-back spot to catch live sport with mates. The service is friendly and efficient, with staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The beer selection is a highlight—plenty of local and international options on tap, with a few crowd-pleasers in bottles too. Food-wise, it’s simple and satisfying: think classic pub-style American eats like burgers, wings, and loaded fries. It’s not gourmet, but it hits the spot if you're after something hearty and easy while watching the game. With loads of screens, a buzzy vibe, and some good drinks deals, Bleachers nails the casual sports bar experience.

Terrible. 20-30 TVs yet none of the staff seemed to know how to set them to more than one channel. We arrived early afternoon expecting to watch AFL. There were about a dozen other patrons there to do the same. In the middle of the game, manager came over to inform all of us we'd need to leave to the street because some incoming customers wanted to watch NRL instead. One single TV outside that was useless. Food was terrible, overcooked and yet served cold. Burger tasted like it was reheated. Dry and like cardboard. Staff were pleasant, but probably the only positive about the place. Sorry, much better offerings up the street. A sad disappointing establishment. Worth the skip.

So. I've actually been here quite a few times, but I've never actually eaten here. So today we were walking by and needed a quick bite. Time to check it out. We ducked in - it was busy - but not super busy. Quite a few people sitting down but enough space to grab a table. We ordered at the bar and took out table. All pretty easy. It was basically burgers all round except for one half a rack of ribs. Couple of chicken and i had the briskett. Needless to say, in a sports bar, we may have snuck in a quick beer too. The brisket bruger was tasty. Only gripe was there was some gristle that made it a bit fiddly to eat, but the meat qas good and sauce was tasty. Boys had good things to say about their chicken burgers. Ribs guy was also happy - the ribs were tender and suitably bbq sauce slathered. Everyone had their side of chunky chips too. All told, good experience and will be back
Mike P — Google review
We came here a couple of times. The chicken snitchzel looked like they reused the oil to fry the food which made the snitchzel looked very dark unlike other photos I saw from other reviewers. I even didn't finish it cuz it was too dry and hard. I love spicy food so I ordered death wings, it was great experience but second visit I tried the sweet chili sauce was better and less spicy. Beers was good.

Bootleg Bar offers an amazing selection of drinks and shots, along with delicious food. The freshness of the food upon arrival was impressive, and the chips stayed crisp and hot throughout the visit. The hospitality was top-notch, making it a must-visit spot in the city. The staff is welcoming and provides outstanding service. Even if your favorite cocktail isn't on the menu, the bartenders are willing to go above and beyond to make it for you.
This was the first time we’ve been to a bar in Canberra and the service was outstanding. My favourite cocktail (Boulevardier) was not listed on the menu so we kindly asked the bar tender if they could make it for us but he hadn’t heard of the drink before. Without asking he pulled out his phone to check the recipe and a moment later he said “leave it with me”. We received our drinks and they were absolutely amazing and spot on.

Had a function at the Bootleg Bar and it was very pleasant. The food was fresh and plenty of it, the bar is well stocked and the staff are very friendly. It's not a big place, but it's very nice and intimate. I highly recommend Bootleg Bar!!

Great find on our pub crawl. Fantastic atmosphere, delicious cocktail (fat bottom girl) but little too much ice for my liking. The music duo who were playing were unreal. It was loud just how I like my live music. Such a great vibe. We all loved the style and decor of the place and we will be back to try the pizza.
Amelie K — Google review
This bar has a lot of character and is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. The drinks are cheap and strong, and the atmosphere is lively and fun. The bartenders are mostly friendly and happy to chat. The only downside is that it can get a bit crowded, noisy and the toilets we're unclean, but that's to be expected in a bar of this sort. Overall, it's an alright spot for a casual night out with friends.
Emily R — Google review
The drinks and shots were absolutely amazing! Also we ordered food afue drinks in and I just want to say that the freshness upon arrival blew us away! And the chips stayed so fresh during conversations and drinks, usually they turn stone cold and stale while these stayed crisp and hot! Amazing hospitality and definitely worth the 5 star. I work in hospo and it's great to see the personality shine in other venues. Must visit if in the city! Staff are amazing and venue welcoming 😊 will be back!

Went there for $10 Margarita night on Tuesday and it was great! Really cosy bar with amazing woodfired pizzas.

Came to Bootleg after having dinner at Solita with a bunch of friends and had a lovely foodie conversation with the bearded bar tender before returning to my group. A Scott Morrison with spiky hair who clearly appointed himself to owner of the bar felt he had the power to refuse me a drink when I went up to order my second one. This was obviously a shock to me as it was 10pm, the first bar of the night we visited, there were obviously more intoxicated people around being served alcohol and his justification was that "I stumbled over my high heels". Honestly, I'd like to see him try walking in heels while sober and keep in a straight line, I'll also be telling everyone I know not to come to this establishment.
