The cabinet also has lots of tasty treats and take away options. The plant milk being an extra $1 is annoying given that it’s a vegan cafe. I know it’s the standard now but it’s still annoying

Best vegan pancakes I've ever had!!! You don't need to be a vegan to enjoy the food here, my husband took the big breakfast and he really enjoyed the seitan here. The tofu scramble had a very good flavour. The staff are amazing can't wait to come back!

It was very tasty and a generous size. It does get a little stuffy if you're sitting indoors in warm weather, and our water glasses were all a little dirty, but otherwise it was a good experience.

Always a pleasure finding a vegan Cafe, so naturally we just had to visit and try the food and coffees. Loved the vibe of the Cafe, food and coffees were delicious. Really enjoyed the big breakfast and my wife loved the roast pumpkin salad - never had pumpkin so sweet before! We also ordered a soy flat white and ice matcha, all were delicious and perfect for a warm sunny day. Would definitely return the next time back in Canberra!

Located near the rainbow roundabout, this Sweet Bones Bakery and cafe bursts a wide vegan menu including an all day breakfast. The stand out items are the Mexican dishes, burgers and the smoothies. A wide selection of cakes, muffins and cookies are also available at the display by the service counter. These are amazingly delicious and sell out quickly. Often customers are purchasing these by the box. The meals are very tasty and the sweets are tantalising and certainly enticing you to have more than one. Brint your meat loving friends along as they'll soon learn how great vegetarian and vegan food can be. Friendly service also. No table service.

Modern cafe in civic. First time visited, I love the atmosphere and staff's kindness. The pastries look amazing. Also, people can buy frozen stuff as well. They provide a chiller takeaway bag. But coffee was a bit disappointing. I like Redbrick's coffee bean, but the coffee was not good, unfortunately.

The coffee is really good, and the spiced apple danish is also good. Quick service, nice place to catchup as it offers quite a big space. The only cons is they dont open on weekends :(

Very attentive and professional service. Great espresso. Best bread in CBR. They have frozen pies and sausage rolls that I’m going to try soon. Very promising. Places like 3 Mills make it harder for people from Melbourne to complain about Canberra. Give me time.

Excellent! I was a regular at their airport location, so very glad to see they opened up in the city. While famous for sourdough breads and pastries, they the do an excellent double shot soy late with a roast dark enough to taste like real italian coffee (not the more artisan soft blends common in Canberra). Very vegetarian friendly with food and pastries, but not so vegan friendly (yet) unfortunately, especially with pastry. Still, highly recommended!

$9.10 sausaage roll !!! Very oilly, small size - cannot justify the price. I would pay $6.50 for this quality.

I really enjoy this place and visit at least twice a week to indulge in the pastries. I've had great experiences with the baristas, who always put extra effort into my picky coffee orders. However, there have been a few occasions when I've encountered some unpleasant staff at the counter. For example, one Friday lunchtime, a staff member seemed to have had a tough day, which I understand, but it would have made for a much better experience if her attitude was more positive. Miscommunications and misunderstandings can happen, but I hope the staff's approach remains friendly and not too harsh with customers. With some training on customer service, this place could truly shine.

Lovely cafe serving perfect matcha lattes (not too sweet) and great coffee. Baked goods are excellent too especially the sausage rolls. Price is standard these days, maybe a bit on the high side

I've always been a massive fan of Knead Campbell, however it appears to have gone downhill. The Croque Madame and Monsieur are no longer available, and their Ruben was served soggy. The bread literally fell apart and I had to eat my sandwich deconstructed. The service was not great, and one staff member was quite rude. This was offset by another staff member who was nice. Another positive was they didn't charge for babychinnos.

Amazing little bakery. The croquet monsieur was stunning, the ham was off the bone, and there was (gruyere) cheese, and wholegrain mustard. The ham and cheese croissant was also very nice and so was the coffee, but the stunner is the croquet monsieur Went back in feb-21, still amazing, the servings are even bigger and the coffee is still fantastic.

Been meaning to hit this place up for a while after a friend had recommended their cinnamon scrolls. When I got there they had sold out. Service was relatively quick and friendly. I settled on a blueberry danish and a cappuccino. Both were nice but given the location of this place, not worth returning to just for that. Nice change to get away from regular haunts with a good atmosphere though.

Knead is in serious need of a reno. What was a reliable and quick cafe has gradually gone downhill this year. Staff churn, inconsistent coffee, and overall cleanliness are having a negative impact. And while it was always minimalist, the interior seems now even more bare and forlorn. The equipment, floor, and walls are grubby and very unappealing. The bakery goods are fine, but the rest is lacking.

Love their lemon meringue tart, coffee, and croque monsieur (although wish it had gruyere + bechamel on the outside like a classic croque monsieur). Service could be faster sometimes but still a great spot

Very disappointing. Food all looks great, but really I think they're relying on reputation rather than actually producing truly authentic french pastries. Our experience was: The cappuccino was actually a scalding hot latte, the Pain aux chocolat was more pain than chocolat, and the biggest sin of all was the Pain aux raisins had no crème pâtissière! Great if you just want to eat a lump of shiny pastry with a few raisins. Not impressed.

It's okay, nothing special borderline didn't like it. Cinnamon scroll was crunchy and dry but the cream cheese filling saved it a bit. Without the filling that was a dry, dense, flavourless Pastry. Croissant pudding did not like at all. It's a take on the bread and butter but done poorly. Dry, flavourless and since it's made into a pudding the croissant looses it's characteristic. Wish could taste like vanilla or anything through it but nothing. Could sub it for bread and taste the same. Cardamom bun was nice, the custard was smooth and had a good cardamom flavour and the Pastry itself wasn't dense but 'bouncy'. Interior is nice and has pie options, maybe should have grabbed that instead of the pastries. Staff was okay.

We recently made a 2-hour drive just to visit Bakery Sonoma in Canberra, and it was completely worth it! This place is hands-down one of our favourite spots for a truly memorable treat. The almond croissant is nothing short of perfection—flaky, buttery, and generously filled, it's easily the best we've had anywhere. The Moroccan vegetable roll was another standout: beautifully spiced, hearty, and freshly baked. And the coffee? Smooth, rich, and expertly brewed—every sip was a delight. You can feel the care and craft that goes into everything here, from the pastries to the service. We highly recommend Sonoma to anyone who appreciates quality baking and a great cafe experience. The pastries here are absolutely delicious, but what makes it even better is the customer service. The staff are always warm, friendly, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Even though we arrived 5 mins before they closed! — brought it back to Sydney and my family loved them a lot. Will definitely come back for more.

we got the croissant bread pudding it was alright. the ginger lemon tea was very nice to drink with it and during the cold weather.

I came here pretty often, i usually get the almond crossaint and i feel like wanna change something else so i ordered the pain au chocolate ( chocolate crossaint) This is absolutely madness. I just bought the chocolate crossaint this afternoon. I got home and I used a knife to cut it half, seriously? Is this worthy $8? There is barely chocolate in it. Im not sure is this how they serve usually or they just forget to put the chocolate in it. I am absolutely disappointed and cant believe they serve food like this.

Awesome bakery and cafe. They have a lot of different sweet and savoury things to try, and made some really good coffee too. You can order at the counter or via QR Code at your table. There’s seating both indoors and out and a big window into their bakery if you’re curious. Try the croissant bread and butter pudding.

Visited Dobinsons off the recommendation of some friends and boy were we impressed. We ordered the big breakfast which could honestly feed 2 people, and came not only with a glass of orange juice, but your choice of a hot beverage - all for $19.50! As Sydneysiders who are used to paying above average for your standard brunch food, this was an amazing steal. Service was good, food came out quickly and was pretty tasty for what it was. Do grab a pastry on your way out - we tried a Portuguese style custard tart and it was by far one of the best custard tarts we’ve had.

WELL HEY I was lost searching for a different cafe when I stumbled across Dobinsons. The staff were super duper friendly, coffee was good and the AVO TOAST WAS SO GOOD! It was called “Perfect Avocado Toast” and for the first time in history advertising wasn’t bending the truth! Can we take a moment to appreciate the plentiful, abundant, yummy avocado, I think they used a whole one and then drizzled a life giving elixir over it to keep it fresh. They’re a full on bakery so the bread was delish and they put butter on it — YES. (I’m so over dry toast with avo to the side, what is this world becoming!?) It is also currently the Multi Cultural Festival, so I do have Violins playing in the background and the sun is shining. Not sure if you can recreate that, but give it a red hot go. Also, I would suggest taking a look at both the menu AND the window, there’s some pretty delectable things going on in there. So make sure you spend time on your decision.

Have to say, food and value for money are fantastic at this cool little cafe. Only thing that let the place down was the rude attitude from a staff member. I was made to feel as if by being a customer for this establishment I was a burden. Really left a sour taste in my mouth. Other than this the food was great, definetly would recommend- just stay away from the angry Irish backpacker and you'll love it!

The atmosphere and coffee was great, and the food was fresh and mostly tasted good. However the big breakfast and beny croissant took more than 30 minutes to come out. My poached eggs were raw and watery and everything else was cold. Might be good when it's quieter but I wouldn't go again.

I've only ever been for their breakfasts, but I can say that they are decent. They aren't something you're going to cherish for the rest of your life, but they will give you well cooked food and a good quantity for the money you pay. Indoor and outdoor seating, and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table. Their range of single serve desserts is brilliant and will force you to think for a minute which one you want.

Dobinsons' sausage rolls are my favourite. The location is convenient amongst other popular shops and food services. The staff are polite and friendly. The price seems moderate, which is good. There is plenty of seating available near the where they serve the food. There is a big range of sweet pastries and savoury ones.

It is clear that the pastries at Dobinsons are baked with passion and it shows through the flavour and overall taste of the pies and sweets. The good coffee is also an added bonus. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. A major downside of the restaurant is how cramped it is in terms of indoor seating. Overall, a mostly pleasant experience.

Good vibe, friendly staff, reasonable prices, okay coffee, great food. I ordered a French omelette w/ gruyere and it was absolutely delicious, even though it was slightly more cooked than the traditional French omelette which are usually not quite set. The cheese was great and it had been sprinkled with a good quality salt which added flavour. It came with two slices of sourdough and some butter so it was a reasonable portion for the price ($16.5).

Tasty food and good portion sizes. There's usually a line and it's not a fast café, so if you're in a rush not the best place to go. However, they've never got an order wrong and the food is well presented rather than put on a plate and rushed out the kitchen.

I have been here many times. The food was always good especially their pulled lamb sandwich was sth unique in town. I do agree that the service was inconsistent, sometimes it was good sometimes it just wasn't up to standard. But with that being said, the price was reasonable and the portion is generous. I would surely surely visit again.

Place had a fantastic vibe with pretty good food. It was abit busy during the visit but fortunately did not have to wait to long before being served the orders. Crowd did grow shortly after so I assume wait times can get long. Overall can't fault the experience and will be back for more.

Ordered some coffees last weekend, took a little while to get our order. Coffee wasn’t strong & made us feel sleepier than usual rather than perk us up with a caffeine hit. Our table wasn’t wiped down from the previous seating.. Do hope they improve as the location is a good spot being able to have a coffee & let our kids play in the playground next to it.

I have always liked the coffee from this place. but today's experience is not as expected. Coffee from this place has always been so much better than most of the places inside the center. I asked for small cappuccino with half shot of caramel at first she didn't listen carefully and secondly they made a latte instead with extra caramel. If I am paying for something then I definitely deserve the order I made.

While a lovely location, the service was not great. I made it clear I was after a flat white have there, and got given a takeaway. When I told the lady I wanted it in a mug and my order, she gave me a mug and told me to pour it myself. Very cavalier attitude and service.

I ordered an Iced chai latte for takeaway with less ice due to personal preference, not only did they charge me extra for LESS ice, the cup wasn’t even full. Their attitude given when I was ordering was also rude and demeaning. Would not recommend.

We got a long black and chai latte, the man brought the wrong coffee to the table ( a flat white instead of a chai) which I had a sip of as I was unsure. He also passed the long black over the top of my toddler instead of walking round the table. I took my incorrect order back and instead of throwing it out they simply put it on a new plate and served it to the correct table! After I'd had some! We also got banana bread which was stale, chewy and dry, even when it was toasted with butter. I would not recommend this Cafe to anyone.

Normally great, the food is wonderful. Staff and systems are unreliable. I ordered food. Over twenty minutes later I had to go and ask what had happened to it. They had sold it to someone else. Lots of apologies, but the explanations fell flat. The docket for my order would have been sitting unattended while they gave my food to someone else.

Ordered 3 thickshakes at $9 each and was given 3 milkshakes. They weren't anywhere near thick! So ridiculous.

Rustic bakery with fresh patisseries being topped up behind the counter. We liked that there were options for a quick bite as well as if you had more time for something substantial. The croissants are sadly unremarkable, the tarts are alright. Purchased a baguette take away, it’s super long! Danishes looked tantalising and I’d be happy to give them a go next time.

Very busy joint on a Saturday. Some GF options. Got the chocolate espresso cookies and a blueberry custard escargot (not GF). Both well made and tastes fresh but my bone to pick is none if the baked goods are labelled with their price so you are operating blindly. My bill came to $18 for two items, I would consider it steep.

Very lovely people. It seems like a great bakery but I think I made a mistake and ordered something else for breakfast. The mushroom and toastie tasted good but was too oily. I would definitely try them again and this time go for the bread and pastry.

Came to this little bakery on recommendation from a friend. I tried the Florentine breaki, a coffee and a tart. The breaki was great, the mushrooms tasty but the egg was cold and over poached. The coffee was average. The passionfruit and marshmallow tart had no taste of passionfruit. They all seem to have the same custard base with just different toppings on top. My friend enjoyed his almond croissant and coffee. I will come back to try the fresh bread.

Good little bakery in a small town. FOOD: They don't really offer gluten free options aside from toast and a biscuit, both of which were terrible. Similar to gf things when they first came out, a decade+ ago. Definitely the worst gluten free food I've had in many years. Otherwise they do have a broad selection of sweets in the front counter: many of which do look really nice. Some of our dishes were hit and miss in flavour. STAFF: Lovely and attentive, especially given how cramped the place is. You constantly hear them trying to get through the tables and chairs and people at the front. DECOR: Simple, clean, modern lines, lacking character overall, which isn't necessarily bad. Only suitable for individuals up to 4 people mostly though. Not really suitable for kids or those in wheelchairs during busy times. They have blankets which is a super nice touch. The back hallway has had chairs put in to try and accommodate more people. It's squishy and looks like a hallway. OVERALL: With street parking out the front, and warm inviting staff, it looks like they're trying, so overall still a solid: good. Definitely a lovely little place to take a friend to for a pastry or take away sweet. I suspect this (versus the meals) is where they shine and would be 5/5.

Their signature french toast is the best I've ever had and I've eaten quite a lot of them! Perfect combination of flavours and perfect proportions of crunchy and moist! Definitely a must!

Quite a busy bakery as it was a day prior to the Easter holidays. Picked up some hot cross buns which were yummy, lemon meringue tart was nice but bit on the sweeter side & the crust was a bit soggy to our liking Silo Sourdough was nice & coffee was strong. Service by the young gentleman was very friendly & down to earth. Could use some brighter lighting indoors as it was hard to check out what was on display.

Convenient location for those seeking a sweet treat while doing Fyshwick errands. Serving seven miles coffee, this patisserie appears to be a lovely place for a break. We came 30 mins closing and felt very unwelcomed. Staff were dragging the wicker chairs around (no sound design or absorbers) so it was a sensory overload. Got the coffee order wrong (didn’t want milk in our LB) and lack of knowledge of what is coeliac friendly. Disappointing but also understandable with so close to end of the day but won’t be in a hurry to return

Bought a Passion fruit Gateaux for my mums birthday. Off the charts yummy. Epic range of flavours and textures. Presentation is absolutely mint. Great value. The staff provided great service to match.

Giving it to you straight no bells or whistles…the beef red wine meat pie in a buttery flaked pastry (no tomato sauce ever necessary) aromatic and so yummy…a must. Arrived half hour before closing time and was greeted with pleasant staff willing to accommodate me with what I needed, which was a good coffee. The cakes and pastries caught my eye and the staff assisted with some dessert decisions for the night. Great spot in fyshwick for cakes and coffee

Highly recommend the beef in red wine pie, the red wine is not over powering and adds a nice taste. No sauce is needed. Looking forward trying other food on their menu.

Recently visited as the new owners have made all cakes halal. Was very impressed with the variety available. The lady serving us was so kind and welcoming. We purchased 7 small cakes and some macrons so that our family could try a variety of things. Every single bite was absolute perfection and the cakes were a hit among three generations - a rarity in our home! Will definitely be back for more.

We have been customers of Flute for years, going out of our way to purchase their bread, and sometimes cakes, usually twice a week. Not any more. We have watched a steady decline in the atmosphere and quality since the change in ownership, starting with the addition of a huge drinks machine, the kind you'd find in a servo. The bread and baguette this week have the flavour and texture of a loaf that hasn't been allowed to rise properly, dense and not nice at all. A couple of weeks ago I had coffee there with my daughter, the pastry case of her cake was so hard it split the fork she was using. I think it's expansion and profit at the expense of quality now, which is a real shame.

Do not recommend this store!!! Thought this would be great after long drive and day at the zoo for dinner. Nope. Ordered 4 pizzas and a kids cheese. vegetarian supreme was missing ingredients, no base sauce on a dry old crust. Meat delux, the chicken was so dry on again a thin crust (not requested) ordered regularly- base was sparingly dressed. Again same dry old crust. Pulled pork and slaw- old brown pears on it and same dry old crust. Peperoni pizza, ordered it with extra cheese, again same thin old crust. Kids cheese pizza also barely any cheese on it. Old crust. Have ordered crust pizza on the central coast / Sydney NSW and never had bad experiences like this. Super disappointing that in the Braddon ACT was this bad skimping on ingredients either just leaving them off completely or using so sparingly - using old almost considered off fruit. Incorrect bases provided for the pizza with using old dough?? - honestly probably would have been ok if it wasn’t like eating cardboard. Adding photos but they’re not that great.

Vegetarian pizza for $23, easily ordered online, took 20min to get ready, but for this price I expected a better quality, they used to put lots more veggies on their pizzas but this time it wasn’t much. Also it didn’t taste right. For this price you can get home made fresh dough pizza elsewhere. I’m planning to try this again on a quiet night and then I adjust my rating accordingly

Pizzas here aren't too bad, but not quite worth the price you pay for them, especially with the premium pizzas. The flavours peri peri chicken pizza ($23) was nice and truffle beef rossini was also nice ($28). The base could be improved as it tasted like a domino's pizza base (very basic dough). You would be paying similar prices in a lot of standalone private pizza restaurants but will get slightly better quality. I'd probably give it a 3.7 ⭐ average which does round it to 4 ⭐. Pizza was actually really nice. Inside seating not great. No outdoor seating. Ended up buying pizza and seating a few restaurants down that had outdoor seating that were not operating.

I ordered a supreme pizza online and it was horrible! It was completely cold and the pizza base was dry, with little or no sauce, no pineapple and the other toppings were almost minced to the point of being unrecognisable - never again - so disappointed!

We order delivery via the website and the order arrived before expected. Vegan pizza and plant based chicken were very nice. Will definitely order again.

Absolutely amazing food. I can understand why their products are so popular in cafés in Canberra. The pork and chilli sausage roll and palak paneer pie were incredible, and at the perfect temperature! The hot chocolate was nice, and the barista was so accommodating to remake it when there was a minor issue. Excellent customer service all around!! No photos of the food, I couldn't wait to eat it!!

We had pork & garlic pie, seasonal danish and almond croissant 🥐 and each of all menu was so delicious not too buttery but flavourful. Also the coffee is another heaven 😇 plus, the staffs are so warmly kind and nice 😊 We are visitor from Sydney and I am highly recommend this bakery!!!

This is THE cafe, THE bakery. Great experience every time. My sister and I were over the moon sharing a chicken and leek pie, a sausage roll and an almond croissant. But the truth is, you can order anything and you will be happy. The coffee is incredible. This establishment is a gem.

Was in Canberra for the weekend with family and came across this amazing bakery by chance (quick random search on Google). What an absolute treat! Hands done one of the best quality breads/baked goods we've had! Everything we had was fresh and delicious! For brunch we had the Chicken & Leek Pie, the banana bread, the Mozzarella and Tomato Toastie and the bacon and egg pastry rounder (sorry - no idea the actual name for this). The textures and the flavours are 10/10. Coffee was also on point. We also bought the pork, garlic and chilli take home pack and the granola... SO DELICIOUS!! Next visit - Three Mills bakeey is top of the list!

We ordered two flat whites, a portuguese tart, and a chocolate croissant. Pastries could have been warmer, but overall tasted pretty good. Solid flat white with grear portion for a regular size.

I really rate the food at this bakery highly especially the toasted ham and cheese sandwich and the cheese and olives foccacia. Freshly made in store and highly recommended you get them earlier in the morning 👍. Right up there with the best bakeries in the territory. Regards @fooderarri

I am publicly and openly accusing this bakery of being own and run by a pack of... ...absolute bloody legends. They need to double their prices for everything because their service is so good that it'd still be a bargain. Go here and say hello to anyone who works here they're all awesome.

The staff at 3 Degrees are always nice and make great coffee and food! I highly recommend the bacon and egg roll and coffee combo. It is very reasonably priced ($15) and the b&e roll comes with a hash brown and a delicious relish. They are open from 5:30am until 2pm on week days. Closed on weekends. They are very easy to find and access, so go in and grab a coffee and something to eat. It will quickly become your 'go to' Cafe!

The place always seems busy and I found out why! The coffee is so good. I also asked them to remove the bacon from my roll, and they made me a veggie roll instead! That was kind and delicious! 🤤 Made my day.

Just ate a bacon egg and cheese roll. Cooked perfect. Nice crispy bacon. Double egg and hash brown topped off with a relish with a slight kick. Highly recommend and great value with a small coffee to wash it down. 10/10. Perfect way to start the day.

Cute little café coffee ☕️ shop. Ordered a flat white which has a nutty flavour, not bitter at all however a little sour and a little sweet to my liking. They’re very friendly staff and even will accommodate dietary requirements too. They definitely have some great little bites to eat and delightful little desserts for those who fancy something sweet. Also coffee was well over 3 degrees;)

The taste of the coffee beans is very smooth, and the strength should be moderately roasted. The taste of the milk is average, maybe because I didn't add some MILKLAB, but overall it is better than most cafes in Canberra. Dessert and bread didn't try, they should look good too.

The worst hot chocolate i have ever bought. Genuinely tastes like warm water with nothing in it. The actual food here is delicious but the hot chocolate is so bad i thought they gave me a weak long black on accident.

Horrible experience. Bought a savoury roll and after a bite found a long blonde hair baked into the roll. When I went back to the store instead of an apology I felt like I did something wrong. The staff were whispering between themselves and spoke rudely to me. Never buying from here again. Terrible service and attitude.

Lazy staff, bread products come out up to 2 hours after opening. They don’t answer the phone anymore, rather it is redirected to a mobile phone message bank which is full and then a rude woman eventually calls back without identifying herself. A really poor example of what is a great franchise bakery in other places. Avoid at all costs.

She refused to warm up our pizzas and provided no explanation as to why! Plus no napkins and they are selling ready to eat oily cheesy products.

Extremely disappointed by having to eat stone cold pizzas. Not having a functional microwave oven is a not a good enough excuse. No serviettes either. Conveniently run out of them. It was too awkward to cancel the order at the cash counter so I just wasted all the money buying pizzas fit for the bin.

Very nice Baker's Delight store. We had our favourite treat, the walnut and apple scroll and it was delicious. Staff is very friendly and service is good. I just wish they would have the vegan pizzas.

Finally! A very reasonable Pain aux raisins! Don’t know why it’s got icing sugar on it, but that’s forgiven once you bite into the delicious custard (yes! It actually has custard!) and raisin smothered pastry . Yum! Having tried several other cafes, I honestly feel this the most authentic Pain Aux raisins yet.

Had a lovely high tea experience with my toddler. Lots of different yummy treats and the portions were very generous. Our server, Jimmy, was attentive and really nice - 10/10 service.

I had an English breakfast tea with milk, which came with a small tea cake. The presentation was very nice, however $7.60 was far too expensive for a cup of tea, hence the overall 2 star rating.

I don't usually give five stars to cafes, but this one deserves it. Authentic french hand made pastries which taste so amazing making you wanting to have more. The coffee is also very good.

Tried out this patisserie & it did not disappoint. Service was friendly & swift. They were understaffed as customers kept coming through the door & others were leaving shortly. Hence a lot of tables weren’t cleared & wiped down. But the waitress did come & clean everything up once the queue died down a bit. Will be back to try out more yummy baked goods soon!

Nice Patisserie in a small mall. Service is amazing and all options look yummy! The atmosphere is nice and quiet, coffee was also nice. We felt everything was a bit pricey but worth the quality and service. Will return when I'm back in Canberra.

When we go to Fyshwick Market, Crust is our go to . Coffee’s are great, the delicious pastries and those special treats are a hit. We swap between the grain bread, olive and jalapeño loaves, pretzels are amazing too. Just a big shoutout to Tom and the team for doing an amazing job even when they are under the pump.

I’m probably their biggest fan when it comes to pies — the Chicken and Leek pie is my personal favourite. Perfectly golden pastry, delicious filling, and always served fresh. The staff are super friendly and welcoming every time I visit. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or stocking up, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend

Chunky Steak Pie Crust Bakery has been my go-to pie pit stop for a while now, and once again, they’ve delivered the goods. I grabbed their chunky steak pie ($8.50), and as usual, it didn’t disappoint. The pastry was golden, the chunks were actually chunky, and the gravy had that rich, meaty depth that says, “Yeah, I know what I’m doing.” It’s not trying to reinvent the wheel – it’s just a bloody good pie that shows up, clocks in, and gets the job done. Like a tradie on time with his own tools. Nothing fancy. No frills. Just crust, meat, and satisfaction. 7/10 – reliable, tasty, and always worth the crumb-covered chin.

After doing a holiday around NZ exclusively for pies, my taste palette is fairly tuned I’d say. Had the chunky steak pie and hit the spot relatively well. If they had some cheese on it and a tad more chunky bits of steak it would be good but otherwise the flakey pastry hit the spot!

This bakery has been going downhill for the last three months and hit rock bottom this morning. Arrived just after 8am. The shop had a minimal selection of bread, a few pies and no pastries/sweets selection. This is a real shame as this used to be one of the top bakeries in this area with a great range of breads, pies, sweets and pastries. It was obvious the old owners and those working there took a lot of pride in the shop. In the past I have happily recommended this bakery to any visitors but this was the final straw for me and I won't be returning.

This was by far the worst pie & sausage roll I've ever had. The sausage roll had shortcut pastry, which was hard. The pie was filled with dry, compressed, flavourless mince. I used to love coming here for a pie, I will never be back after that experience. What a shame.

I grew up in the area and I was always excited to go into this bakery as a child and I still get excited whenever I go there when I’m an adult. For years this place has always been absolutely the best. They have the best friendly staff and amazingly tasty food. Highly recommended especially for their meat pies! Whether or not you live in the area this is a place that you must go to, otherwise you’ll be missing out on the best bakery in Canberra.

Absolutely fantastic! No wonder they won the “best pies in Canberra” award. I have never been able to eat meat pies, I always question the meat! However Spence bakery uses only fresh, good quality meat from Andy’s Butchery right next door! The staff are always lovely & helpful. Their friendliness just makes buying delicious baked goods even more of a positive experience! This is by far, my favourite bakery in Canberra. They are always happy to take orders (like 30 cupcakes i ordered for a school event, and they happily put a list with the ingredients on the box!). Great customer service, great food. Just great!!

I've lived only a few suburbs away from this bakery for over 10 years and never knew it existed until I read a recent article which happened to mention that the best vanilla slices were made here - so I had to find it. I'm glad I did because the vanilla slice (which I tried after my second visit because I arrived too late in the day first time round!)...was amazing! I also picked up a wholemeal sourdough which was one of the best I've had. Look forward to trying these award winning pies that I've read about in the reviews. What a great bakery - thank you 😊

Best bakery in town! Best pies, caramel/vanilla slice and chocolate cake I've ever had. I'm yet to try something I haven't enjoyed, everything is super fresh and delicious. The service is wonderful and it is owned by the most lovely family. Hands down my favorite local business.

I went to this bakery expecting good things. The reviews were pretty good... the place is dirty and run down. I thinks it's past its prime. The pie i had was cold. The staff looked like they didn't want to be there, one was vaping out the front. So hopefully things are better in the future and this review becomes redundant but as of Easter 2025 I wouldn't recommend this bakery for a meat pie or a cup coffee, maybe try the bread it could be a different story. Edit 22-4-2025 7pm I'm not sure what the shop owner is on about saying I was there an hour ago... I was there Saturday morning (not a public holiday) sorry your staff had to work. I am currently eating the absolute best hot cross bun ive ever eaten in my life. I didn't know about this place, but my neighbours dropped us by some hot cross buns as an Easter gift. They're perfect - hugh, squishy and perfectly spiced. I'll be visiting the bakery tomorrow.

I go in here once a month after I get a haircut. It's kind of nostalgic going into a bakery like this, very similar to the small town bakeries I went to as a kid. The guy managing it (I'm guessing Danny), is very friendly and to the point, and always looks very busy. I always go for a sweet treat. The treats are all very nice and very cheap, I'm talking $3.50 for a huge slice of carrot cake. It's nice and a privilege to have places like this, where they're not charging a bomb and are providing great food to the community. Last time I went, there was almost a line out the door. Danny served everyone quickly and with a smile, no matter their background. Might come here more often to tackle my cravings!

The jalapeno cheese chunky pie may be the best pie I've ever had. The pastry is buttery and delicious, the meat slow cooked and delicious, with a perfect amount of cheese and jalapenos. Would come back here for a pie anytime I'm in Canberra.

I purchased a loaf of bread and a sausage roll and was charged 16 or 17 dollars. I believe that this was due to my skin colour. The bread tasted good toasted and spread with butter. I rate this bakery low on atmosphere because the man at the counter did not smile or respond to small talk. I discourage persons of colour to come here. Nobody likes to be discriminated against. As a woman of colour, I am harmless. I should be wary of white men, not the other way around.

What on earth was going on at DK Belco ground level today ? Ordered a box of donuts for a party and the poor girl looked mortified at the thought of making them (I was the only customer at this stage ), she then said they would be a while .. I said that’s ok I’ll wait. No probs about await time , but I get home and they are burnt on one side and bizarre shapes and sizes .. thin on one half. They were undercooked and chewy but clearly burnt. Such a shame , these guys (DK Belconnen) barely get it right .. I wonder what the problem is! How hard can it be ? It’s a machine that makes them…. right?

Great experience with Max at Belconnen K102! I came in with a large pre-order that did not show up on their system and Max was incredibly patient and helpful throughout the entire process. He took the time to understand exactly what I needed and offered go to their other Kiosk to fullfil my order. Max's attentive service and willingness to go the extra mile made what could have been a somewhat stressful experience smooth and pleasant. Highly recommend asking for Max if you need assistance - his customer service is top-notch!

Max that works at donut king on level 1 is the best. He goes above and beyond works very hard and makes the best chai lattes and the only one that makes mine perfect. . First time I came across this shop was purely by luck, I needed a cake quickly delivered, so ordered online via a delivery app. After tasting the cake, it has been our go to cake shop for celebrations. Most recent experience was last week, on our baby's birthday. Everyone, literally everyone at the party asked where was the cake from! And the guests fought over the, and took rest of the cake home 😁 the sponge was light and fluffy, filling and frosting are not too sugary, and the customer service is exceptional. So thankful that we found this shop.

I had worst experience. I will never buy from this shop. I have ordered a Chocolate sponge cake topped with red cream and a car printed on top ( my son is fond of cars he likes red, and the cake for his birthday) . The cake delivered was sponge cake with lot of blue cream on top and a blue car painted. They have charged $70. Total waste of money. It was disappointing and the cake tasked like nothing.

I ordered a customised cake for our son’s half birthday and it was an awful experience. They charged extra for the customisation, the final cake was completely different from what I had shown in the reference picture (which I have attached). The design was messy and unclear, and I’m extremely dissatisfied with how it turned out. I do not recommend anyone ordering a cake from this shop and specifically a custom cake from here if you are planning a special event. Definitely not worth the extra cost.

It's great that this bakery has a selection of Vietnamese food for lunch. What's not great is the impatient, cranky lady with glasses that can barely stand still while you decide what to order and responds with attitude. Word of advice. Eating whilst serving customers isn't really a good look. Might want to improve on that.

Summed up in one word .. yum .. pastries are yummy, pies are flavourful and the chillidogs are great. Good prices for the quality. Lunchtime rolls are a great quick feed too!

We enjoyed great coffee, expertly made and served promptly despite the cafe being quite busy. We also enjoyed the gluten free Basque Cheesecake. I will definitely be visiting Lepi often now that I have discovered their small but amazing array of gourmet items for sale, especially the gluten free pasta and chocolate orange cookies.

I'm not one to complain but enough is enough with this place. It's time to hire a proper barista who can actually make a cup of coffee. I don't know why I waste my time with this place, hoping that they can actually make a decent coffee to be only more disappointed every time I go. I've just been given less than half an empty burnt coffee for my partner and my coffee was full but absolutely terrible with a sour bitter taste. The food looks good but I wouldn't trust the pies that sit on the floor for hours on end waiting for space in the little pre heat oven. Today was the last I go here, disgusting!

Some months ago k left a review on this site and complained about the flies all over the counter food. Food uncovered. TodY I checked in to see if it had improved and whether they actually respond to reviews, obviously not. Today I saw at least 7 to 10 flies all over the food. I’ll reserve my right and proceed to use Le pi at Kambah instead.

Absolutely fabulous bread. This is our local bakery and I try to go past every 2nd day for a baguette at least. Opening hours are reduced lately so I can't call in quite so often on my way home from work but maybe my waistline is thanking me for that. My family loves all the pastries and in particular the doughnuts. I have bought the larger cakes for work functions with the most popular one being the pear tart closely followed by the black forrest cake. The cheese and ham croissants are amazing and baked with the cheese and ham inside!

Beef and vegetable sausage roll quite delicious. Lovely pastry. Not quite sure it warrants 'best sausage roll in Canberra' but I'd buy it again. Even at $9. Ice chocolate ($7) disappointing. Made with drinking chocolate and powdery in texture. Most disappointing was that it was served in plastic with a plastic lid even though I was eating in. The paper straw doesn't offset that. Sauce also served in plastic. Both marked compostable but given how long that takes avoidance would be far better. Whatever happened to a squirt of sauce on the sausage roll or plate? And drinking out of actual glasses or a mug. Didn't buy one today but I'm a definite fan of their almond croissant. Next time I'll decline sauce (unless they'll squirt some in the plate) and have the croissant instead of a drink.

I popped into Three Mills Bakery to grab breakfast to go. I opted for the tomato and mozzarella toastie and it was absolutely delicious. Big chunks of tomato and plenty of melted mozzarella. The bread was fresh and full of crunch and flavour. Highly recommend.

Always happy with sourdough and other pastry at three mills. I had chicken sandwich and latte and they were good but I felt its bit pricey. The place was not that busy and has similar selection like the Majura bakery as well as the bake at home product.

Great food but rarely worthwhile to navigate the parking situation as never have hot food in stock. Particularly enjoy the mushroom and barley sausage rolls but they never have them in stock - even when I went in at 11am!!

Purchased a loaf from Supabarn Kingston this morning (baked fresh and delivered today). It was easily one of the best loaves we’ve ever had. Shown here by the empty bag, two of us polished this off in one day! Soft and squishy inside with a crunchy textured outside. Great amount of fruit and you can really see and taste the spices. Will definitely have to come to the bakery itself to check out their other items. Delish!

Delicious croissants and plain donuts, but check your order! The pastries here are amazing—flaky and soft croissants and perfectly sweet donuts. However, I was disappointed with the service. Yesterday, I ordered 3 croissants, 1 chocolate croissant, 1 plain donut, and 1 sausage roll and paid $33.50. When I got home, I realised one croissant was missing from my order. It’s frustrating to pay that much and not get everything you ordered. Double-check your items before leaving!

Had the NZ doughnuts and a mince & cheese pie. The doughnuts had fresh cream which made it so delicious. The mince and cheese pie was extra cheesy and the crust was nice and fluffy. The best pie is the ACT.

Purely based on their hotcross buns. They look like slightly larger Coles Hotcross buns and taste very similar although have a slight zesty taste. My kids said they prefer Coles. Hardest thing to swallow is they are $15 for a 6 pack. That's the same price as Danny's bakery in Narrahbundha which are significantly superior in taste and size to these.

I like to think of myself as a meat pie connoisseur. I give Evoke 4 stars. The pastry was my favourite, crispy with top flakes and didn't crumble on me. However was not such a fan of the filling, ratio was a bit out and not enough gravy for me. Although I am a lover of herbs not sure if I got the wrong pies but my chunky steak n mince had veggie filling, which being the carnivore I am came as a shock to the tastebuds - but nonetheless the meat was tasty and satisfied my cravings. Overall nice to see a new bakery at Curtin shops with friendly welcoming faces. All the best.

Tried a few items off the menu that have been great, but the most outstanding have to be their sausage rolls and the olive and thyme sourdough. Great local bakery that we will continue to visit - plus they have free sauce!

Just paid $16 for two croissants (toasted) and they gave us these burnt pieces of meh. Unfortunately we did takeaway and didn't notice until we got home. Won't ever go back; big dog saw the state of our croissants and still put them in the bag. I recommend choosing one of the other cafes if you're after a takeaway snack. No phone number to call and complain so you get a google review. Step your game up.

Absolutely shocking sausage rolls. Bought one at lunch and it was stale and hard at both ends and tasteless and dry as in the middle. Not going back.

*EDIT* Friday Pizza nights are my fav. George does tasty pizzas, loaded with topping and fresh. Just remember to call up an hour before for order. Highly recommend. Weet Bakery pizzas are up there as in my fav pizza. I tried the Mexicana xtra spicy and supreme. Great place to get European bakery sweet goods and at great prices, perfect service, the potato pie was the star pie and the one i would recommend trying is the jam donut. But leave some for me!!!!

Steak and mushroom pie was so good. Ther service was great. Had an almond biscuit which was also very yummy. Highly recommend this greek bakery.

George is a legend. He makes wholesome bread, biscuits, and an amazing vegetable Moussaka that fed the four of us. Also, I picked up some epic rocky road for Christmas.

I have never come across a bakery like this. Some interesting bits of Greek décor, and a few traditional Greek favourites. Much more relaxed than a regular bakery. There is no expectation that you will order and then leave. This is a bakery where one can browse, question, and then leave with something completely familiar or something completely unfamiliar.

Unbelievable value, great food and friendly service. A coffee, slab of spinach and fetta pie, generous slice of cherry pie for under $10.

Good little bakery, clean and everything well presented. On street parking (paid) available out front of you're lucky. Tried the sausage roll, pretty good. Nice selection of sweet baked goods as well as their bread, rolls and more available as well. Some seating available inside.

Unfortunately no EFTPOS here, but there's an ATM pretty close to the shop, so that's not really a big issue. When I was there a staff member was chewing food whilst serving, which was a bit disconcerting. I had a Vietnamese pork roll and a coffee, which was reasonably priced at $4 for the coffee (12oz regular, which is the large size) and $8 for the pork roll (both of which were around a 6/10). Overall, It's not a bad place for a quick lunch and to pick up some good-priced and wide range of bakery goods, but it doesn't feel as welcoming as other bakeries in Canberra, so I wouldn't recommend for a dine-in stopover. The place could do with a bit of improvement...

Worst sausage roll ever! The inside was white! Full of bread crumbs and max 10% sausage mince. The meat and veggie pastie had 2 crumbs of meat in it, and tasted like bubble and squeak in pastry. The steak and onion pie had some meat, lots of unseasoned gravy and no visible onion. Go there if you are desperate!

The interior isn't much and the display is quite tacky. Got a simple cookie from here, then I felt sick for the rest of the day and eventually threw up. It isn't very hygienic in there, however, I would recommend if you need something cheap and quite average.

I've been coming here for years because they have, hands down, the best chunky beef pies anywhere. The owners are very friendly and make excellent quality goods at great prices.

As others have said, this place overcharges - wish I checked the reviews first. This place does the old trick of only accepting cash under $10 and then charging more than the advertised price. Was charged $5.40 for a pie displayed for sale at $4.80.

Been stopping by this place every time I go to Canberra for years now and the quality has always been the same. Super fresh and delicious plus the owners have always been friendly and welcoming.

Went here based on 4.9 stars on google. Didn’t live up to the high expectations. Basic bakery. Can’t comment on bread or coffee. Had a reasonably small selection of sweets, which were fine, but not worthy of 4.9/5 (muffin, banana bread, pastries). No family sized pies/quiches etc. Value seemed good, however.

Get any of bread related products fresh and they absolutely delicious!!

Lovely people run this bakery - I have seen the kids grow from toddlers to adults now helping Mum and Dad run the business. If you like bread with a bit of substance try their heavy vienna, which comes in white and wholemeal. Service is always great and friendly
