Las Iguanas in London’s Stratford Westfield is a vibrant escape into the heart of Latin America, where flame-grilled dishes and shared plates take center stage. As you step inside, you're greeted by a colorful ambiance filled with quirky decor and custom wooden mosaic tables that add to its charm. This contemporary dining spot is perfect for any occasion—whether it’s a cozy dinner date or a lively gathering with friends.
Had a lovely experience at the Las Iguanas in Stratford - it was a Sunday so wasn’t extremely busy. Service was brilliant by Monika, very patient with answering all our questions about the sharing options & was so kind! We ordered the taco sharer board and a portion of bbq wings and it was more than enough and very delicious. We also had a strawberry daiquiri and they do not skimp on the alcohol. Lovely experience, will definitely be going again soon.

Great spot for solo, couples or groups and families. Have tried various dishes from the menu and every single one was nice. Halloumi, mini quesadilas, sweet potato fries, king Prawns - all very tasty. Chicken is halal as far as I know. Please check if any other meats are halal. Always have good offers on - always check these out via the app, or your last receipt.

The restaurant is vibrant, bright, colourful, rustic, comfortable, sleek, elegant, modern, huge, spacious, tidy, clean and hygienic. The staff are friendly, respectful, supportive, sociable, well mannered, polite, professional, knowledgeable about food, understanding, organised and very welcoming with smile that makes you feel welcome there without having to worry about fitting in a place that serves you best experience and food. The food was fantastic, fresh, flavourful, delicious, mouthwatering, colourful in good ways and great quality but the drink and service cost threw me off which is reason why I was shocked I received the receipt. You should go there and try their food because it will remind you best time especially if you’re going to date, anniversary, family day out or catch up with friends that you have not seen in a while in your lifetime.

Our group of nine visited the restaurant and found the food overall to be decent, with a good variety of dishes to suit different tastes. We waited for 20 minutes for the original host to return to order our food but because she didn’t return we asked the nearest host called Esther to assist. A special mention must go to Esther, who was a fantastic host throughout our visit. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure our experience ran as smooth as possible given the circumstances. It was clear that she was the key person managing not only our table but also others in the restaurant during the several hours we were there. From taking orders to serving food, she maintained a good standard of service despite being visibly stretched. We hope that management recognises the value she brings and provides her with more support in her role. Her dedication and hard work stood out and made a real difference to our dining experience. The main downsides were that some menu items weren’t available, they don’t accept Amex, and the staff seemed like they could use a bit more support to keep service running smoothly. On the plus side, if you’re a Blue Light Card holder, you get a generous 40% off for up to six people. The

I recently visited a charming cocktail bar that completely exceeded my expectations! The ambiance was really lovely, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening. The decor was stylish yet cozy, making it an ideal place to unwind with friends or enjoy a romantic date night. What stood out the most was the exceptional service, particularly from a gentleman called Stefan who was not only friendly but also incredibly welcoming. His warm smile and engaging personality instantly made us feel at home. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered fantastic recommendations, which really enhanced our experience. The cocktails themselves were nothing short of delightful. Each drink was expertly crafted, bursting with unique flavors that delighted our taste buds. It was evident that the bartenders take pride in their craft, which made every sip a pleasure. Overall, this cocktail bar is a hidden gem that I can’t recommend enough. It’s a lovely place to enjoy great drinks and even better company, thanks in large part to the friendly and lovely staff. I can't wait to return for another round!

First time at las iguanas, definitely will not be last one. We were a group of 8, we had really nice cocktails and food, great customer service from Jordan and Fathia, very kind and helpful. The food was served fast and was delicious. Highly recommend.

I feel it's sad that I have to write this, but what on earth has happened Las Iguanas? Was passing through Westfield and needed something to eat, so thought I'd have a sit down meal and thought "I haven't had Las Iguanas for a while". Was greeted quickly and sat down with a menu without any further conversation. Loved the Iguanas wings in the past with the home made hot sauces, so the first alarm bell rang when it said "cholula hot sauce". Eventually my server came over and asked if she could "get me anything?" without any offer of help with the menu or recommendations. I ordered a pint of beer, the aforementioned wings and a burger. She asked if I wanted the wings as a starter or not. I said I'm not bothered if the burger comes while I'm still eating the wings. They both arrived at the same time. The wings were OK, but had hardly any sauce on them. Fries were acceptable, but the burger was terrible. I always think people overreact in reviews when they say "better burgers at McDonald's" but this literally tasted like the patties they use at Burger King in their Whoppers. Now I like a Whopper, but they're not £17.75 plus service. At no point during my meal did anyone seek my feedback, so I couldn't point this out. I eventually finished and was asked by my server if I wanted anything else. I'd had my eye on the Oaxacan Negroni, so thought I finish with one of those. While waiting for this, there was a discussion nearby where my server could finish early due to it being quiet. No one told me any of this other than what I overheard but I saw my waitress waking off with her jacket. My cocktail arrived and it was just a regular Negroni. No one ever asked if I was happy with the drink. Eventually I asked for the bill, paid and left. Likely never to return. Bad food. Nonexistent service. No attempt to fix issues. Nearly £60 for a solo diner (including service) Sort it out

I visited for a dinner date with my girlfriend, we have been here many times and it's always a good time ☺️ The food and drinks were great, I had the Gaucho Smash Burger and she had the Chicken Avocado Salad. We both had Pina Coladas. Service was great too, we were served by the wonderful Monika, who checked in on us at the perfect times and made our stay very pleasant. The atmosphere is cozy and when sitting outside it's fun to watch the other Westfield visitors below.

Turkish restaurant
Restaurant
Gökyüzü Restaurant is a renowned Turkish dining establishment with a sprawling and iconic presence on Green Lanes. It has become an institution known for its generous portions of warm flatbread and salad, followed by flavorful dishes like doner and manti. While the adana and shish may not be the most intensely seasoned or succulent, Gökyüzü is celebrated for its consistent quality.
We went out to celebrate a birthday, and everything went just as expected — smooth and enjoyable. The food was great, arriving on time and cooked to perfection. We requested to sit outside since the weather was lovely. While the staff let us know they couldn’t offer full table service outdoors, they were kind enough to let us sit outside, which we really appreciated. The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. Honestly, there was nothing to fault — it was a great experience overall and a lovely way to spend a special occasion.

Had the jumbo platter & it was a knockout of a feast, full of flavour n the meats were fresh n juicy! Ended with the lush kunefa dessert n tea!! Best n top tasting Turkish by miles! 👊🏾😋

Wow I really recommend this restaurant. Its busy but great food and service. Didn't wait long for a table. Be careful when approaching the turn off from the A406 it can be easily missed so slow down or it's a big turn around to get back. Turkish restaurants have gotten very expensive in recent years so it's something I don't do regularly. For 2 people we paid £103 for a 3 corse meal .

The mixed grill was a delightful experience. Each meat was cooked to perfection, and the ambiance of the place was simply beautiful. The mezze were also scrumptious. I highly recommend coming hungry to this place, as the portions are generous. I thoroughly enjoyed the meat, cooked to perfection.

Fantastic Turkish cuisine. Went for a family platter which had more or less everything you could try. Was very tasty. Great atmosphere. They have seating indoors and out. Picked the perfect day to go as well. Beautiful bright breezy day with lovely scenery just outside the restaurant. Plenty of parking and they accommodate for infants too. Great service overall.

Platters are HUGE and cooked to perfection with amazing flavour. Nice ambience in the restaurant. Food was fresh (every single time!). The menu has a great variety of dishes. Something for everyone. Really enjoy the food. Frequently return. Great for couples, friends, families and large groups, birthdays etc. Amazing food and great service 👌 Service is very quick. Food is halal. Kids high chairs available. Plenty of parking. Baklava dessert also very nice 👌

Viet Grill is a charming restaurant that beautifully marries French colonial aesthetics with the vibrant flavors of traditional Vietnamese street food. The extensive menu can be overwhelming, but it’s a delightful challenge! A great way to experience the best offerings is through their sharing platter, which features an array of delectable dishes like imperial spring rolls and coconut chicken curry. For those craving something specific, the bun cha—a signature dish from Hanoi—makes for a perfect sidekick.
Fantastic experience and there are some fun unique dishes offered here that we recommend you try, especially the rice paper crepes!

2nd pho place that i have tried during this trip and it is also located next to the famous one 1 street further. Of course there was no queue on a Tuesday noon hence I don’t know how popular this place is. The pho in general had a different noodle texture and soup base compared to the other place. Pho was less salty but very oily. Still not comparable to pho in Vietnam or North America, but definitely worth visiting. Spring rolls were crispy and hot 😋😋 Food: 4.3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service: 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambience: 4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Looking for value for money come here. We had a group of 10 and had the set meal 2 which worked out £22 a head. Free to bring in outside drinks too. Unreal and left feeling very full
Finn W — Google review
Very yummy food and great service! Only negative is that my partner found his pho to be quite oily which made it slightly unpleasant to eat, however my pho was delicious!
Ora H — Google review
Food taste was ok, but pho was like 90% of noodles, not even much of stock, dont saying anything about the meat. Price is almost £16, so should be better. Spring rolls two small prawns, not even feel them, just greenies. Great service and atmosfere, clean and tidy.
Filip — Google review
Had dinner there for the 1st time on Wednesday night. Really like the atmosphere and the design inside and out. The “Cốc Tai” menu is creative. Impressed with “Cá kho tộ” (the taste and how it’s been served). Last but not least, what impressed me the most was the girl who took our orders without writing it down. Did want to ask for her name but I still don’t why I didn’t. Anyway, she’s from Hanoi, very clever and really really beautiful…
Nghia L — Google review
This restaurant has a good variety of different cuisine. Not just Vietnamese but also Thai. The service is friendly and quick. Prices are very reasonable. It isn't licenced but we didn't need alcohol for lunch. Would definitely return the next time I'm in the area

Nestled in a charming locale, The Olive Tree Loughton invites you to indulge in the rich flavors of Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. With its elegant decor featuring sparkling chandeliers and plush seating, this restaurant creates a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for gatherings. Diners rave about the hearty à la carte options made from locally sourced ingredients, with standout dishes like succulent lamb ribs and flavorful moussaka that leave guests wanting more.
Surprisingly good. We had the vegetarian platter for 2 and it was just tasty, particularly the stuffed aubergine and all the starters.

Second visit here, staff friendly and accommodating. We all enjoyed our food, and had a variety of dishes. Excellent location, as it is situated across the road from Leytonstone Station. Parking outside if it is after 4pm, but spaces go fast! If you fancy chicken, lamp chops, kebab, halloumi, fish etc there are lots of choices.

I attended alongside my family for my sister’s birthday. Kadir and team brought out her dessert with a candle (and a song!) which was a really nice touch. Food was yummy too, we cleaned our plates.

Stopped by to have lunch. Kadir served me and was nice & friendly. Very nice atmosphere, food was nice and well priced! Sat outside in the sun was very nice and i would come again.
SN E — Google review
I really like this place. Just really tasty, down to earth, nutritious food. There is a good range of dishes and it's worth trying different things. I used to always go for lamb shish and the meze selection, but branched out in the summer and really enjoyed the feta and beetroot salad and the prawn starter. The mucver and baked aubergine are good vegetarian options. You get the sense they use good quality ingredients so even though it's not cheap - it does feel worth the money. I just wanted to mention for other parents who worry about taking their toddler to a restaurant - I've been here several (usually off-peak) times with a toddler and the staff are always helpful and welcoming. They had colouring paper last time I went as well.
Nina D — Google review
Really enjoyed this! The food was full of flavour — perfectly grilled, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. The service was outstanding — warm, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a valued guest. Would definitely come back to try more from the menu!
Nikita A — Google review
“If you enjoyed it, please write a review”, he said. “Where?”, I asked. “Preferably on Google”, he said. So here I am again writing what can only be described the most joyful review of a luncheon in recent memory. The olive is a lovely little Mediterranean restaurant in the quaint setting of Leytonstone. The birthplace of cinema’s favourite psychological son Alfred Hitchcock. As we walked in feeling Young And Innocent we were greeted by the wonderful visit of hanging baskets and a lovely decor. Upon ordering the only vegan thing on the menu I Confess I was a little bit worried but I ended up Spellbound by what turned out to be an absolutely exquisite falafel wrap. I was transported to my days of cruising the Mediterranean And enjoying the wonderful sunny vistas on a beautiful day with no need for a Lifeboat as I enjoyed my falafel sandwich. On the other side of the Torn Curtain my partner had some kind of fish. I’m not sure what it was but she didn’t talk much so I can only assume that she was having a great time too. If you’re looking for somewhere for a Family Plot to have a delicious meal and not pay those Psycho London prices then this may be the place for you.

Rhythm Kitchen Stratford is a vibrant Caribbean eatery nestled within a bustling shopping center food court, where the enticing aromas of jerk chicken, roti, and BBQ ribs beckon. This delightful spot offers a unique twist on afternoon tea with its mango-glazed jerk chicken wings and handmade spiced scones paired with an array of delicious jams and clotted cream. Instead of traditional dainty bubbles, guests can indulge in potent Wray & Nephew rum punch or refreshing slushies.
I was absolutely blown away how tasty the goat curry was. We also ordered ox tail stew. And it was superb. This will definitely be my favourite place to eat when I’m in the area. Thank you for such tasty delicious food with perfect amount of spice. The flavours were incredible.
Anna — Google review
First time trying this place and I’ll definitely be back to try the pork. I had a craving for jerk wings which was exactly what I went for. Super quick being served and they were really friendly. There was quite the wait for the wings, around 10 mins. The wings were delicious, fantastic flavour. The only downside is that they weren’t that hot on arrival so by the time I got to the last couple of wings, they were completely cold. I’ll come back though, the flavours were banging.
Bav M — Google review
Rhythm Kitchen offers a genuine and delicious escape to Jamaica. It's a must visit for anyone craving authentic Jamaican flavours, hearty portions, and a vibrant atmosphere. We have been to Westfield Shopping Centre many times before and never notice this restaurant until today (28 July 2025). My daughter and I tried their food for the first time and we loved it! The curry goat was tender, rich and deeply flavourful. The BBQ ribs were smoky and satisfyingly succulent. The gungo rice and peas were fluffy and nice. The fried plantain was sweet and caramelised just the way we like it. The steamed veg was nicely done. Our meals were completed with 2 bottles of mango and carrot topical rhythm drink, which were cold and refreshing. This culinary experience was absolutely spot-on, and having us planning our next journey back to try out the other dishes.

Second time in Stratford and I cant believe i missed this spot in the first place. 20/10, one of the best meals ive had in london so far. Very good meal at the Rhythm Kitchen - stewed chicken, rice and peas, steamed vegetables. Stewed chicken was a special at time of visit, hopefully becomes a regular menu item! This was what once was called a square meal - healthy, good value, tasty. Seating is in food court, no bother. Friendly service at the till. Many thanks!
David L — Google review
As a Trini - very little to criticise about the curry goat, plantain and rice. I prefer the curry itself to be slightly 'sweeter' but the plantain balanced this plate beautifully and the heat was very tolerable. Before I ordered I was worried about the portion size. I stand corrected and I knew I had made the correct choice for lunch. Thank you for bringing the cuisine I love to the table. Continue!

Rhythm kitchen at Stratford city Westfield was an excellent choice for dinner🥰Samm the chef was phenomenal! The jerk salmon and jerk chicken were bursting with authentic Caribbean flavors—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Caribbean cuisine in a vibrant setting💗🤩
Sana B — Google review
Really, really tasty! £15.10 for the meal deal (1x mains and 2x sides)… I opted for curry goat with rice, peas and coleslaw. Wife had the same but swapped the coleslaw for steamed veg. A good amount of heat to the curry and a decent sized serving. All is prepared to order and the meat melted in the mouth. If you’re concerned about it not being as good as mum’s/gran’s cooking fear not as the tables around Rhythm Kitchen (and eating from Rhythm Kitchen) were all multi-generational. And if that’s not enough, you even get to eat from proper crockery with proper cutlery!! What’s not to like?

La Baita is a charming Italian restaurant located in Chingford, offering a cozy and friendly atmosphere reminiscent of traditional mountain eateries in Italy. Despite not having a website, the restaurant has garnered praise from locals who appreciate its comforting and delicious food. Visitors have highlighted the warm hospitality and delectable dishes, with some even preferring it over other Italian restaurants in nearby areas.
Highly recommend the skate wing with capers and butter. The tiramisu is homemade and the best I’ve had in London.

We had a great meal at La Baita. We’ve lived in Chingford for just over a year now and this was our first visit. Having tried several restaurants on Station Road, La Baita is now one of my favourites and certainly the most reasonably priced. Great food, friendly staff and lively atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.

Lovely family run Italian restaurant, well established with typlical Italian menu as you’d expect plus daily specials. Prices are very reasonable. Service is fantastic

Stopped off for a quick bite to eat, ended up having a 2 course meal with wine. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was extremely high quality, and the atmosphere was perfect. Found this restaurant by accident but will returning deliberately.

This place has very nice food and the staff are also good. Pizzas are very tasty and extra thin base type which is good and the lasagna is 10/10. The calamari is nice and the restaurant is clean and tidy. I like to say very good overall and prices are fair and reasonable for meal, not cheap but ok… 🙂
Daniel C — Google review
Went to La Baita for the first time as a celebratory meal with high hopes, and we were sadly incredibly underwhelmed. The bread as standard cheap white baguette, the butter was just wrapped in foil and nothing special, pasta was tasteless and the Parmesan was shop bought. Very average for expensive prices. Won’t be returning.

Nestled in the heart of London, The Coach & Horses is a charming pub that beautifully marries history with modern flair. Dating back to the 1770s, this iconic establishment has long been a favorite among locals and visitors alike. With its Tudor-style architecture, stained-glass windows, and original wooden furnishings, it exudes an inviting atmosphere steeped in tradition.
A great pub for Craft Beer and Real Ale which is a few minutes walk from both Leyton underground station and Leyton Midland Station. I counted 24 Keg taps and 10 cask taps, and when we visited there were 7 different cask beers and 16 different keg beers offering a variety of styles and breweries. They also have a decent range of AF beers in the fridge. We've also had the Sunday roast twice now, and both times was very tasty, especially the rosemary and garlic roast potatoes. It's also worth noting that the Gravity Well brewery tap room is only a few minutes walk away (who are probably producing some of the best hazy IPAs at the moment), so it's worth the trip over to visit both.
James G — Google review
Genuinely my favourite local pub (despite being a Reading FC supporter). The food from Kamu on offer here is genuine and wholesome and the staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable and the pub has a large variety of seating areas, including a very nice outdoor area. Drink selection is always strong with a good rotation of cask ales for those who are into that sort of thing. Can't recommend enough to those looking for a proper London pub 👍
Callum S — Google review
We booked a table for Sunday lunch and as first time visitors had no expectations. The staff welcomed us and took us to our table and throughout our visit were polite and attentive. The food was unfortunately a huge let down. We had the whole roast chicken (£50 for 3 people) - it was dry and overdone, as were the Yorkshire puddings. We complained and got nothing but an apology. We thought the desserts might make things up but honestly it was some of the worst food we’ve eaten in a long time. The sticky toffee pudding was cold, the sauce burnt and the vegan ice cream tasted/looked horrid. Similar stories for the crumble and brownie. You get what you pay for and while we enjoyed the lamb curry, the rest was terrible. Might be a decent boozer but stay away from the kitchen.

Sunday roast was tasty had the trio, the portions were big, the chicken seems a little dry, the beef was a bit chewy… I am not normally a fan of pork but wow the pork was delicious!!! So I gave the rest of the meat to my dog

Been going to The Coach & Horses regularly of late and for good reason, it's a proper Free house pub. The beer selection is vast with many cask and keg options which is carefully cultivated to give many brewery and style of beer to choose. Venue is big with lots of seating and screens for sports very comfortable. People make places and the staff here are a good bunch who are friendly and knowledgeable. Probably the best pub in Leyton.

Cocktails, delicious. Roast, 100. Staff, amazing. Vibe, immaculate. Environment, top notch and spacious. Never have a bad time here. Obviously a very well managed place - all the staff were really friendly and obviously very relaxed. Love that this is my local. Thanks gang X

The Coach & Horses isn’t just a pub—it’s a London institution. Nestled on Greek Street, this characterful spot has long been a refuge for writers, eccentrics, and anyone seeking a proper pint with a side of storytelling. It’s a place where tradition lingers in the woodwork, and the spirit of old Soho still flickers in the corners. Atmosphere Inside, it’s all etched glass, creaky floors, and a bar that feels like it’s seen a thousand confessions. The vibe is warm, slightly scruffy, and refreshingly unpretentious. You’ll find regulars nursing bitters, tourists snapping photos, and the occasional poet scribbling in a corner. It’s not curated—it’s lived-in. Food & Drink The menu leans classic British, with vegetarian and vegan options that feel considered rather than obligatory. Highlights include: Steak & ale pie – rich, flaky, and deeply satisfying Fish & chips – crisp batter, proper mushy peas, and hand-cut chips Vegan shepherd’s pie – hearty, flavourful, and surprisingly elegant Cask ales & craft beers – well-kept, with rotating guest taps Wine & spirits – modest selection, but well chosen It’s not a gastropub, but it doesn’t need to be—the food is honest, and the drinks are poured with care.

I love coming here! The staff are always welcoming, friendly and very accommodating. The decor is lovely, it’s really pretty inside and the food is presented beautifully. I would highly recommend the raspberry ice tea which is handmade and you can’t go wrong with the sharing starters, the kisir is delicious! The hot chocolate brownie with ice cream was divine😍😍

This is such a lovely brasserie. The food is always beautifully presented. The atmosphere is calm and light. The staff are pleasant. Cleanliness is clearly important to them which gives peace of mind. One thing I would say that lets them down is the constant reminder of the closing time. This is the third time I have been here and I was reminded about the closing time on each occasion. The first and second time I overlooked it, but this time I was reminded 2 hours before the closing time and a future two times whilst dining. This made me feel uncomfortable and like I needed to rush despite spending a decent amount of money to dine in. The focus seemed to be cleaning the equipment and fixtures in preparation for closing. This is a shame because besides that, as mentioned, the staff are extremely polite, pleasant and customer services to a high standard.

Really great food and service. The establishment is very clean and well kept and the decor doesn't match the location and looks like it belongs more in a high end high street. My only criticism is the condiment bottles are basically empty and you have to really shake them to get the last scraps of sauce out, other than that it's very nice place to visit and would highly recommend to anyone thinking about going.

Amazing food and big portions; the interior is also very clean. Every single staff were super friendly except for one young girl who nearly completely ruined our experience. This server gave us attitude, forgot our drinks and could be heard complaining about having to clean a table. I feel sorry for the rest of the kind staff that have to work with her..

Hokkaido Teppanyaki Restaurant has quickly become a local favorite, thanks to its fresh dishes and entertaining atmosphere. The head chef, Master Hua, brings over 30 years of experience in teppanyaki and sushi-making to the table. Guests are treated to an interactive dining experience as they watch the skilled chefs showcase their culinary expertise on the teppan grill. The warm welcome and accommodating service add to the overall enjoyment of the visit.
The service was really lovely. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Food was delicious. My fave was the steak and steak wraps. The kids really enjoyed the chef display. It was truly a lovely night to celebrate our anniversary. I can't fault the experience at all. Would definitely come back again. 5 stars.

My partner and I had a brilliant time during our visit. We were sat right in front of the grill and got to enjoy the full experience of Teppanyaki. Not only was the food outstanding but the entertainment of having everything prepared right in front of you made this a real dining experience. You can tell the chef enjoys what he does and interacts with his diners throughout the sitting. We shared both the meat and seafood menu between us and EVERY SINGLE COURSE was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. We cannot wait to return with friends!

Had a absolutely phenomenal experience in both excellent tasting food, service and experience. All of the staff are lovely, personable and want you to enjoy your time there. When I asked for advice on certain items I got very helpful information I wouldn't have known and it helped lead to a fabulous meal. All the food was completely fresh and perfectly cooked. The attention to detail and meal left me a relatively big guy, wonderfully full. If you want a sublime eating experience in a beautiful setting i highly recommend coming here with everyone, I know I will be again!

I was so astounded when I found out we have a Teppanyaki Restaurant in Chingford. They have different set menus from quite affordable to higher priced offering. Went for the set menu 1 but added King prawns which were so big and nice. Its more of an intimate venue, not like benihahana with different stations/ tables. And only 1 chef but it seemed to work fine. It does seem to accommodate about 30 people Initially I thought the chef was a bit flat or not engaging but that changed once the fried rice was being made and he started flicking egg bits which we had to try and catch with our mouths and gave us a litte fire show. Food was really nice, staff were friendly too and they made a nice little birthday treat for me too. Would definitely recommend it. Nice addition to this neck of the woods 👌🏾✨️

Hokkaido Teppanyaki completely exceeded my expectations. I’ve been to other hibachi-style restaurants, but this was honestly the best one I’ve attended - amazing service, and the food was on another level. The scallops were incredible, and the wagyu beef… wow. It was like meat butter.. I’ve never had anything like it. Everything was super fresh, perfectly cooked/seasoned and full of flavour. The staff were soooo friendly and made the whole experience really enjoyable. Overall, it was an unforgettable meal and I’m already looking forward to going back! Definitely worth a try if you’re up for a unique dining experience or to treat a loved one

Going to L.Maze to eat PIE & MASH was an experience, especially since the restaurant has been open since 1929. The decor is lovely and gets you back in time. However to my palet food wasn't tasty- but that's because I like more spices in my food. Beware no toilets facilities!!

Cool place as it's a listed original pie and mash shop opened in the 1920s. Traditional London food friendly efficient service and amazing original decor. Sure to be on the list of trendy places to hang out soon. Down side, as in most English places, no toilet facility otherwise highly recommend this as an East End experience.

After reading some great reviews on google about this place i had to try it out. Whilst the interior is amazing (see photos ) I was really disappointed to be served what essentially was a school meal. Although it wasn't 'bad' per se, I had hoped for something better than what tasted like pasty, out of the pack powder mash with a generic gravy and slightly above average pie. 2.5/5 on account of the lovely decor and above average service.
Felix T — Google review
I was attracted by the hot eel but I have no luck that the restaurant didn’t serve any for today. I ordered a pie and mash but it didn’t taste good for me. The interior design is nice but the food couldn’t attract me to have a second visit here.
Faith S — Google review
Lovely place, beautiful building and friendly staff. The pie was not as deep-filled as I’d hoped, and they used mince instead of chunks of meat, but the pastry was lovely, so was the mash and the eel “liquor”, which is basically a gravy 👍🏽

Great Decor.....(2 stars) waxy mash, tasteless liquor and pies full of gristle first time in 40yrs i have not finished. Thought it was the same great Manze as in Tower Bridge Road and Peckham but it is not. Tower Bridge Road is M. Manze, this one L.Manze...... If you have never eaten Pie n Mash and want to to give it a go, try M. Manze, or Arments Walworth Road equally great.

We arrived at 5:30pm (dinner booked) when the restaurant was far from full, yet were offered a cramped two-person table in the middle of the outdoor area. When I politely requested a larger table—especially since other couples were seated at tables for four—the male waiter rudely dismissed the request and said, “this is what I can offer,” before walking off without offering any alternative. The lack of flexibility, poor attitude, and dismissive service were shocking, especially given the empty tables around. It completely ruined the experience. I will not be returning to this restaurant or any other location in the chain. Extremely disappointed.

Restaurant
Padella, a laid-back Italian restaurant chain with Shoreditch as its second site, serves up pasta dishes amid industrial-chic surroundings. The food is hugely popular and the queues/wait times are legendary - so much so that a new branch has opened in Shoreditch. The outdoor-indoor terrace is an incredible experience, and you can also queue for it virtually.
Really solid pasta spot. We went twice—once for dinner, once for lunch—and both times were consistently great. Super satisfying. We’re big fans of the thinner tagliarini—lighter than your usual tagliatelle, but perfect for clinging to the sauce. And the sauce? Flavorful, moorish, and just rich enough without being oily or heavy. They really nailed the balance. The slow-cooked tomato is a standout, and the spinach pesto is a close second. If you order the sourdough, definitely ask them to toast it. It’s good, but £5.50 feels steep (especially when you’re used to free bread in France). Service is lovely, and booking’s easy even on the weekends—a big plus in London.

Small pub with open areas near River Lea, visited for a drink on a Friday early evening after a stroll in the park and the vibe was warm and welcoming by the team behind the bar! I enjoyed a wine on the terrace stairs, then I got hungry and asked the Italian barmaid for a table and she arranged one for me inside the pub in no time. The neighbour table ordered a dish and I immediately liked the smell and presentation, so I ordered the same Lamb Curry Pie, excellent choice! 🚇Clapton 🍺 £7.25 Estrella The Princess of Wales is located where Lea Bridge Road meets the River Lea in Clapton, East London. The nearest station is Clapton on the Weaver Line. The pub began life as The Prince of Wales and dates back to 1861. It was rebuilt around 1920 as part of a slum clearance in the area. During World War II, the pub was used as a machine-gun post. In 1997, following the death of Princess Diana, the pub was renamed The Princess of Wales. This is a large, bright, and airy one-bar Gastro, divided into multiple areas with a variety of seating. The servery sits at the heart of the pub and is three-sided. The decor includes a boarded floor, comfy leather banquettes, smoky-blue panelled walls, a wood-burning stove, and a honky-tonk piano. A nice feature is the leaded stained-glass depicting the Prince of Wales’s feathers. At the rear of the pub, there is a partially covered terrace that sits beside the towpath and the Lee Navigation. The beer selection offers a range of well-known brews and cask ales. I went for an Estrella—my pint was nice, price point was on the expensive side. The food menu features pub classics. We were feeling a bit peckish, so we decided to try the Cyder-battered haddock and chips. Our food arrived in good time, the portion size was generous, and the batter on the fish was nice and crispy. £19 all in. We arrived around 5 p.m. on an overcast Saturday afternoon in April. The pub was busy throughout, with an upbeat and buzzy atmosphere. The punters was a mix of all ages; those dining were inside, while those here for a beer were outside on the terrace. The service was great — the team on duty, although busy, was friendly and courteous. This pub has moved with the times in this once industrious part of London. There is a nice local feel to this gastropub, with plenty of space for both diners and drinkers alike. The beer selection will please most, though it was a bit pricey. The food was on point — we really enjoyed our grub. Overall, we had an enjoyable time and would definitely recommend a visit. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an unpleasant experience I had at your restaurant on today at 13:00 .I ordered a vegan burger, but when it arrived, I noticed a hair on the plate. I immediately brought this to the attention of the waitress, who acknowledged the issue and said she would bring a new portion without the hair. While I appreciate the prompt response, this incident raised serious concerns about hygiene and food handling standards in your kitchen. I had come to your restaurant expecting a clean and enjoyable dining experience, and this situation left me feeling quite uncomfortable. I hope this was an isolated incident, but I encourage you to review your kitchen hygiene protocols and staff training to prevent this from happening to other customers. I would appreciate a response regarding how this issue is being addressed. Thank you for your time and understanding. Thanks Dana

Good place overall, but not wow. Staff were too the point: not too friendly, not absent either. No wait to be seated; no reservation on a Tuesday evening. The burgers were okay... a 7/10 in terms of flavours and garnish. They have a 20% student discount 👍🏻

Mixed feeling about this location. It is very convenient as it is next to London Bridge station and the main landmarks. However, due to that it was packed! We went on a random Wednesday at 6pm and it took forever to get a table and even more to order and get the check. They only had 4 waiters for the entire place and they were overwhelmed. The restaurant seems small, but there are two floors and they can fit quite a few people. They had to block new orders every so often because the kitchen couldn’t cope. Food was nice. If you download the app for the first time you can get free onion rings which is nice, but you cannot combine that with the student discount. It has a loyalty program so every time you visit you get a stamp and you can get free things. Probably we would not recommend this restaurant based on our wait time. Also we wouldn’t go back to this location, but as it is a chain we might go to another one. Also we didn’t love the amount of rosemary on the fries, way tooo much. Burger was a bit small, but nice.

If the weather’s nice, the outside seating is a great option to enjoy your meal in the sunshine. Now onto the food—everything we tried was incredible! The Tribute burger was so juicy and flavorful. I recommend trying it without the bacon; it’s even tastier that way. The chicken wings were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Their fries are some of the crispiest and most delicious I’ve ever had—definitely a standout! Portion sizes are generous, so be careful not to over-order. We also tried their housemade lemonade, which was refreshing and a perfect complement to the meal. Highly recommend it! If you’re looking for amazing food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere, Honest Burgers is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back for another round of those burgers and fries.

Managed to get a table in here on our way to our hotel. Really friendly service and great vegan burger. Bathrooms are unisex which were mostly ruined by men being awful

We used to frequent Honest Burger a few years ago, but we stopped going after they changed the chips and the burgers lost their flavor. Yesterday, we decided to give it another try since we didn't have many options. I was pleasantly surprised—the food was really good. The chips were decent, and the burger was cooked properly and wasn't as salty as before. It truly lived up to its name as an 'Honest Burger'!

Cantonese restaurant
Chinese restaurant
Three Uncles is a casual eatery that serves Cantonese-style roast meats, noodles, and dim sum for takeout. The original Liverpool Street location is known for its long queues due to the popularity of their roast meats. Recently, they opened a dine-in branch in Brixton, offering classic options like char siu roast pork and roast duck. Customers can also opt for lo meen, a popular street food snack in Hong Kong, instead of rice.
delivers authentic Cantonese roast meat in huge portions at a friendly price point, with standout dishes like crispy pork belly, char siu bao, and siu mai. Convenient central locations and quick service make it a great go‑to for both dine‑in and takeaway around London’s business hubs. Highly recommend.

Came for dinner on a Sunday around 8pm. Arrived at a good time where tables were empty so had no wait for a group table, but soon became busy with every table getting filled. Ordered 3 meats combo: roast duck, Hainan chicken and char sui. Sadly they had ran out of pork belly. Extra HK chilli oil. Meats were tasty, and the sauces made them even better.
Dave — Google review
Large portion size and they're generous with the sauce on the rice which is amazing. The Hainan chicken was the highlight (the best I've had so far in London) followed by the roast duck (I've had better but this place does it decently) and lastly the Char Siu (would've been better if it was marinated longer I feel, kind of lacked flavour and wasnt juicy enough). Overall 7.5/10
Michelle C — Google review
This place used to be amazing but has gone downhill. £15.50 for a incredibly small amount of meat. I got duck and crispy pork and the crispy pork pieces were cut very small to make it seem like there were more pieces. Rice is fine. Cashier pressures you to get plum sauce and it’s an extra.

3 Uncle is my reliable go-to for authentic Chinese food, and they truly never let me down. The consistency here is what keeps me coming back—it's incredibly rare to find a place this reliable. The service is always excellent—warm, friendly, and efficient. More importantly, the food is perfect every single time. While all the roast meats are fantastic (the roast duck, roast pork, and crispy pork belly are incredibly soft, tender, and full of flavor), my favorite dish is actually the Steamed Chicken—it's an absolute must-try! If you are looking for a consistently high-quality, perfect, and tasty meal, I highly recommend.

Locate close to Liverpool street station. Suitable for a quick meal or take away. You can make considerable selection of chinese dishes. I would recommend three kind of meats (roasted duck, hinan chicken and crispy pork) on rice.
Surachate C — Google review
Nice aunties behind the counter! Didn’t feel like eating rice since we had already eaten but still wanted to try their meats, so we only got crispy pork and char siu. Both were tasty but felt a lot healthier than normal (is this a good thing haha). The crispy pork had a decent crunch even though it was sliced a bit thin, meat was more on the leaner side but overall less salty than the usual one you’d get in Chinatown or restaurants. Same with the char siu, tender and a bit sweet but lean. No artificial food colouring here - it doesn’t have that red glow other places normally have. Their style is definitely different from most other restaurants and I can imagine you could eat way more of this in one sitting. For me personally I prefer my meats a bit saltier and slightly less lean.

The BEST Cantonese Siu-Mei in London!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Roasted Duck and crispy pork belly are my favourites 🫢 so I visit “Three Uncles” very regularly, like 5-6 times a month (Deliveroo & in-person at Liverpool Street) 🩷🩷 Also, big shouts to May姐, warm smiles and great service!

Sodo Pizza Walthamstow is a vibrant pizza spot housed in a former warehouse, offering Italian starters and an array of pizzas. Originating as a pop-up at E5 Bakehouse in London Fields, Sodo has expanded to four locations across east London. The Walthamstow branch features dedicated brunch pizzas on weekends, including options with eggs and bacon. While the menu includes intriguing specials, sticking to the classic offerings is recommended.
Was a walk in for a take-away, was a bit worried at first because it looks like a nice restaurant, but there’s a little waiting area that’s away from the diners. I ordered the Wicker Man. It came super fast and when I got home it was delicious. My fave pizza so far in Walthamstow (possibly London). It didn’t come sliced fyi and as it’s quite thin and has lots of toppings I ended up using a knife and fork. I’ll definitely be ordering the same again when I have pizza cravings.
Joe — Google review
Came here with high expectations for the pizza hype. The pizza's arrived fresh & hot, 1 of which was fine but unfortunately the 2nd 1 was burnt on many areas. The cheesy garlic bread lacked flavour. The waitress Ciara was very friendly to begin with but towards the end seemed rude, that really put us off. Overall pizza's were overpriced Would not go back !

Excellent pizza, cool, buzzy vibe (but can be a bit noisy due to the bare wall acoustics). Simple menu focused on pizza but everything done really well. Cheesy garlic bread and top-notch olives a great way to start. Highly recommended.

We came here tonight and had exceptional service from Noor! She was so kind, helpful, positive and gave great advice on what to order. We loved our pizza (great flavours) and brownie (super fudgy) - but most of all we loved Noor! A true queen 👑
Rebekah T — Google review
The pizza here is consistently excellent. Having visited before, I can attest that they never fail to impress. The menu offers a variety of gourmet pizzas, including vegetarian options. Although the selection is relatively small, I often find myself torn between choices due to the diverse array of high-quality ingredients. Occasionally, they feature a special of the day, although it’s not available every day. On the dessert front, the tiramisu is good, though not as standout as the pizza, and it’s on the smaller side. While I didn’t try the coffee, I notice the young server craft a cappuccino for a colleague, and it looked quite nice. The restaurant is quite small, which adds to its charm, but may be challenging to find seating, especially during weekends. I went twice after lunch hour, and was never busy.

Good quality grown up pizza. Flavours a bit challenging for kids. It's a shame these kind of places don't have a simple mild pepperoni available, but I guess that just isn't the vibe.

The pub features a traditional atmosphere with a pool table and an upstairs studio theatre where visitors can enjoy live music and plays. It has hosted renowned comedians like Greg Davis and Hal Cruttenden for their new material trials.
Such a great spot! The food was top notch and the service was super friendly and fast. The owners Theo and Ben really make you feel like part of the family. Amazing selection of craft beer and cocktails —easily the best I’ve come across in a pub, with some options I haven’t found anywhere else. The pub itself has really authentic vibes, cozy but stylish, which just adds to the experience. Definitely my new go-to pub when im in the area!

Excellent community “theatre pub” with a real buzz about it. The only puzzling thing the last time I visited was that the bartenders didn’t seem to know the lineup for the shows. Serves an interesting range of beers and cask ales, including Extra Strong Bitter (the Three Legs Brewery version rather than the Fullers version). Cosy sofas, with a kids’ section at the back. Unfortunately no beer garden in the back, but theres a few benches in the front facing the road. There’s also a food menu with a lineup of rotating chefs (Afro-Caribbean on Tue, Thu and Sat; Roasts on Sundays). There are also numerous community advertisements, posters and flyers.

Lovely place. Smashing staff, good range of beers on and a cracking set of friendly regulars. Inconceivable, but a cracking boozer that happens to be a top notch venue too. Be transported back to the eighties, but in a good way! Well quick update, we're post covid and every time I've been back, still been cracking... Happily made it through troubled times for pubs intact. Another 2023 update, still the same great spot, lovely to see such a nice pub have a landmark "birthday" 2024 Update. Still rock solid with great people, great food and awesome range of quality drinks.

Vegetarian restaurant
Rasa is the first of a group of restaurants serving authentic vegetarian Keralan cuisine for over two decades. Located in Stoke Newington, this award-winning restaurant offers a menu filled with Southern Indian classics such as Dosa and Cheera Curry. The entire establishment is adorned in pink, reflecting the vibrant flavors found in their dishes. Rasa has garnered numerous accolades and is known for its affordable yet flavorful offerings, with main courses priced under ten pounds.
Been visiting Rasa for their Onam and Vishu Sadhya for the past few years and have never been disappointed. The food tastes authentic and is delicious.
Divya G — Google review
Went on a Friday night without reservation and we only had to wait 10min to get a table. We decided to go for the vegetarian menu, which is £25 per person if I am not mistaken. Good value for money, we couldn't finish it although a couple of dishes were not fully out cup of tea, but nothing wrong with them. Portions are correct and you also get complimentary starter and dessert. The only negative is that when paying, the complimentary tip on the card reader is 15%,20%,25% which seems a bit excessive so you have to select your own tip, which makes it a bit awkward given that the waiter is looking at it and holding the machine. Overall, it's a nice option if you fancy some quality Indian food and you don't want to go super fancy and break the bank.
Albert J — Google review
I recently visited Rasa with a friend and overall had a good time. The food and service were both decent—not bad at all. However, the way the dishes were described on the menu didn’t quite match what we were actually served, which was a bit disappointing. The atmosphere was okay, and the place was quite full, mostly with non-Indian guests, which was interesting to see. While it wasn’t the most authentic experience I’ve had, it was still enjoyable and worth trying once.
Misha P — Google review
Excellent food well prepared Classiscs. Spicy and very flavorful. We had the Chefs selection, and it was imaginative and delicious. Can be loud, but the food makes it all worthwhile.

very reasonably priced! felt the menu explained clearly what we were getting - dishes seemed small when delivered but we barely finished it all, so filling. staff were helpful and gave good recommendations on the menu when we asked.
Lucy — Google review
Rasa is one of these little unusual charming restaurants that stands out from the crowd even when you walk past it. Situated in trendy Stoke Newington, the restaurant has a pink facade & an alluring atmosphere inside. Food is not the usual we find in most Indian restaurants, but from Kerala, the Southern tip of the peninsula. For those who have a penchant for something different & exotic, in terms of vegetarian ingredients chosen, the way they are mixed & cooked, this is quite an inviting encounter. But when the dishes were served, it became a bit of an anti-climax for me both in terms of taste & presentation. I also found appam a bit too bland, mindful that it was supposed to be eaten with saucy dishes; curry on the runny side & dosa too much potatoes & not much else. However, I did like the mango lassi & banana boli. Perhaps different dishes next time.
Lorna W — Google review
Lovely buzzy restaurant !!! The food was delicious and the veg feast was great value for money. I think a bit more description about what you were getting on the feast would’ve been better. Lovely little pudding for my birthday too. It’s busy and quick paced, if you are looking for a quiet relaxing dinner, this might not be the place. The paneer is a must!

Absolutely brilliant for Onam celebrations! I've been coming to Rasa for the past decade and it never fails to impress. Year after year, it remains the highlight of my Onam celebrations in the UK. Highly recommend to anyone wanting genuine Kerala cuisine.

It's an ideal spot to savor delectable Mediterranean dishes, with plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians.
Nice gastro pub, it’s more for sitting down to eat rather than for drinkers. Clean and bright as well as serving the best fries I’ve ever tasted in a gastro pub. These fries were crisp, dry and fluffy in the middle.

Really disappointing experience. The overall vibe is always off and has been in this pub everytime I visit it. I’ve lived in Walthamstow for 30 years and generally avoid this pub, but I met a friend working next door this evening. I’d spent around £100 here this evening, but when I asked to quickly use the toilet just 5 minutes after closing, I was refused. For a place I’ve spent that much money all evening and asked super respectfully as my Uber ride kept getting cancelled, you’d expect a bit more respect and basic hospitality. Definitely avoid, if you want a nice welcoming pub I’d recommend The Nags head around the corner.

Brilliant pub. Delicious food - reasonable prices and good portions of quality, well cooked food. We had the vegan burger, chicken schnitzel and fish and chips and it was all excellent. Had a good selection of drinks too.

The service in this pub seems excellent - if you are ordering food at the bar... If, on the other hand, you make the mistake of assuming you are in a pub and that the stools at the bar are a genuine invitation to sit there for a quiet, hospitable drink, you are sadly mistaken... I have been here on several occasions over the last month or so. With few exceptions (the male members of staff and a petite lady from the far east) the staff seem determined to avoid eye contact for as long as possible and give the distinct impression they'd rather you took your custom elsewhere. This I finally did tonight, after at least two members of staff saw me sitting at the bar without a drink but decided to disappear around the back, never to return (or so it seemed). There's a lot to like about this pub - the lighting, selection of beer, food offer, decor. Shame it has a rather up-itself corporate persona - but perhaps that's precisely why it works as a business in V17: Clearly not for me - anymore.
John M — Google review
Great pub, well worth the walk from the tube. Warm welcome, attentive service, Nate was lovely. Playlist was smashing and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed, perfect for a Monday night pint. I’m going to have to find an excuse to return soon!
.Theodore B — Google review
Good food and quick service in a busy pub. The burger I got was good, and my husbands bavette steak came with a really good chimichurri sauce. The food here is definitely a notch above typical pub fare. I saw some reviews regarding poor service from the bar staff, but I have to say, this pub gets BUSY with orders. There’s a surprising amount of seating for the size of the place, and they’re in a great location, so they keep it churning. At no point was anyone behind the bar being rude or moving slowly - every single employee hustled the entire time we were there. Unfortunately, we noticed a few old heads getting frustrated because they were upset they couldn’t sit outside, where the seating was already full. Not sure what they thought the bartender could do, but they held up the entire bar to complain about absolute nonsense. Just be reasonable. Use your noggin.

I visited in the early afternoon and it was pretty quiet. So many GF options on the menu and the food I ordered tasted amazing! Service was welcoming and friendly and I didn't have to wait too long for my food. I will definitely be visiting again.

My wife and I ordered Sunday roasts and were served very sad looking dishes. I have seen some of the pictures other people have posted and whatever they gave us looks nothing like theirs. We did come slightly past 5 pm, which means they may not have had all of the ingredients but THEY COULD HAVE TOLD US. They simply said they didn’t have any more beef roasts, so we ordered a veggie one and a chicken one. That’s it, no other warnings. By far some of the saddest roasts we’ve had. Paying £19.95 for the chicken one and about £16 for the veggie one felt outrageous. Won’t come back.

Although it says gluten free is NOT suitable for cealiacs. We ordered a burger, but the frites get cooked in oil with stuff with gluten. The regular bread is toasted in the grill where they cook the burgers and then also toast the gluten free bread. They didn't care much, I had to ask each thing, which I usually do. At least they replied honestly. Annoying because they put the gluten free options so clear, you expect a higher bar

Known for its thick belt noodles and flavorful barbecue skewers, the restaurant caters more to meat lovers, although there are some vegetarian options available.
Had an awesome lunch. We tried 2 starters and a main and shared all 3. The amount was perfect for a lunch. The shredded potato was the highlight. Also the sauce with the dumplings. Such a great little gem in Walthamstow! Serving authentic and delicious food, my husband and I come here more often than we perhaps should. Especially for their stir-fried potatoes! We always arrive just when they open so it's never busy, the decor is lovely and the staff are attentive. The only negative is that there is no parking facilities; you can either try to find parking in a side street or in The Mall and then walk down, so we always come by bus. The travel is definitely worth it!

A truly life-changing meal. The large chicken plate is a dish I’ll be thinking about for a very long time. And the spicy tofu, I want to eat again and again. Absolutely delicious. Hand pulled noodles are amazing and the service is top notch. The only issue was that they did not have some of the drinks listed on the menu, but that still doesn't affect my review. The lamb dumplings were the best I've ever tried. I'd recommend booking in advance as it gets quite busy for dinner time.

Simple little restaurant serving tasty and high quality food. Dumplings were sublime, and the spicy stir-fried tripe (the reason I visited) was up there with the very best... tender and unctuous. I visited early and there was little atmosphere, plus the main arrived some time before the starter, so not a perfect score, but the food quality is spot on.
Nick D — Google review
Came here based on positive reviews and an Instagram influencer. Got the chochure soup with "fiery" lamb dumplings but it wasn't spicy at all, just salty and heavily seasoned. Also ordered the Traditional leghman with lamb, which was very salty & oily. You can see the oil & how much sauce is left in the photo. These two dishes came to £27.48 so it's not cheap as some reviewers claimed. I'll try other dishes if I come back here but I wouldn't order these two dishes again.

I want to carefully word my review as I do not want to cause any offence! Firstly I want to say the service was great and many thanks to the chef as he was able to customize the dish the way I wanted! Price was good for the area. Also the decor is beautiful and a lovely showcase of the culture and history of the Ugyhur community. However overall we were not big fans of the food. We felt the hand pulled noodles used too much sichuan pepper and I could not enjoy any other flavours in the dish. The kung po chicken and the lamb samosa was okay. The honey cake for dessert was nice but also noted it was not made fresh. Given this is the first time we tried this cuisine, it is unclear whether this is how the general flavour profile is or our experience is specific to this dining establishment.

Ate here for the first time as part of a big group booking. For someone who doesn't usually go for this kind of cuisine, it was amazing! I will definitely be back. The vegetarian bao buns were a 10/10 hit with all of us! The lamb dumplings were nice and the hand pulled noodles. There was a flat noodle dish that was really good👌

ASK Italian is a modern Italian restaurant chain known for its long, stone-baked pizzas and classic pasta dishes. The restaurant in Islington features smart, modern interiors and offers authentic Italian cuisine. Despite being busy, the serving staff is patient and provides great service. Customers have enjoyed delicious stone-baked pizzas, particularly highlighting the pollo lasagne and spicy nduja pizza. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced, making it a great dining option for families.
Our first time here, and I can say that the food was absolutely delicious, amazing and most of all the flavours. My friend had the spaghetti Bolognese, it was the best ever. He could not stop talking about it to the the staff. This is the place to come if you want a decent Fiery Calabria pizza, spaghetti Bolognese and a bisscoff cheesecake. The hospitality was great. Good service. Will definitely be coming back again

We go the Ask Italian and Pizza Express quite a bit and yesterday whilst at Westfields Stratford, the plan was to have an early midday meal at Pizza Express but they don't serve the Spaghetti Pomodoro that my son was craving, so we decided on Ask Italian which was not even a stone throw away. Atmosphere: As it was just after 12pm, the restaurant was very quiet with only two tables occupied in the outside seating area and one customer seated inside. So, perfect timing. We were seated immediately and had the menus and activity sheets and crayons for my son as soon as we sat down. The lemonade served was nice and fresh, as usual. As it was so empty, it felt like VIP treatment, although once or twice, we had to wait...I think they even forget we were there. It wasn't a problem as we were not in a real rush. Just enjoying it all. Service: Other than the occasional wait, the service staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive, also answering any questions we had without getting agitated. When we added an additional order halfway through our meals, it wasn't a problem either. They got on it. It did take a little while for that order to arrive (thr cheesy dougballs), but that's because by that time, the restaurant was busy with customers and there were alot of orders being taken and prepared. Food: Now the food. It was a bit hit and miss. My wife and I had the mushroom starter, which we shared. It was divine. Just hit the right spot. I've included images of all that we had so you can take a look for yourself. My son had the spaghetti pomodoro, and he was satisfied but did comment that he wished they served a bit less tomato and a bit more spaghetti. I absolutely love spaghetti and pizza and get finicky when it's not quite as he prefers. My wife had the worst experience, I'm afraid. She did not enjoy her risotto (with mushrooms) and noted that it was too dry and not creamy enough. She didn't even finish it all. That says a lot as she does love eating these types of foods. She even stole some of my son's excess tomatoes to add to her meal. It's quite disappointing. As for me, I had the salad (it's on the menu under specialities, won't attempt at typing the name, but it was essentially spinach as a base with roasted vegetables such as sweet potato, caramelised onions, mushrooms, etc). I asked for the dressing to be presented separately in case I didn't like it, but it was quite nice. They could have added more sweet potato. The spinach was plentiful, maybe too much spinach and not enough roasted vegetables? Everyone's tastes are different. This is just my assessment. For health reasons, I don't eat much carbohydrates, so I thought this salad would do...it did but also didn't. Strange one. Would I have this salad again when visiting Ask Italian (my first time getting this salad)? Probably not. I did finish it all as I am not one for wasting food and money. Overall, the food, though edible and not horrible at all, it could have been better. The star performers were the mushroom starter and the cheesy doughballs. The drinks were fine. General Hygiene: Spotless, as expected. I usually do check out the toilets. For me, if the toilets are clean and tidy and don't smell, then that says a lot about the establishment and its people. You'll see some images of the men's toilet I took...quite funny to see how beat up the bin was in the toilet. Hate to think what that poor thing has endured over the years. Maybe it's time to replace it. I'm sure it can be afforded. It's the small things that count. Overall: Yes, I would recommend Ask Italian Westfields Stratford for a meal or when meeting with friends and family, etc. It has a nice atmosphere and is in a nice and quieter location in this very busy mall. But be sure to raise any concerns regarding your food if you feel it doesn't quite meet your expectations and / or standards. We will return in the hope that we can turn our 3 star rating on the food into a 4 or even a 5. Thank you for reading my review. I appreciate it's a long one. Reviews are very personal.

I had a wonderful evening in a lovely atmosphere with great music. For the meal, I went with the set menu—starter, main, and dessert. The seafood starter was absolutely delicious, though the bruschetta wasn't quite to my taste. The main course was decent, but the highlight of the meal was definitely the dessert—I'd highly recommend the brownie! The staff were friendly and very attentive, making the experience even better. I also appreciated how clean and well-maintained the environment was, including the bathrooms. Overall, a very enjoyable experience!

Catching up with a friends so we thought we would go to Ask Italian, the restaurant was not busy so we through we would get service quick, however the food was very slow, service was poor and there was no atmosphere. The waitress was hard to get attention of, waited over 30mins for a glass of wine, we asked for water and it came after our meal. The manager offered us a discount which was appreciated but we will not be coming back, so many other better options around.

Alex was simply amazing. She was very attentive and put me and daughters at ease. My youngest has allergies and she was well looked after during our time in the restaurant! Thanks for a lovely experience

Was 29° and the air con was a small metal fan, the food was ok wouldn't order it again though the calzone I had was like soup when I cut into it and it looked like sandwich ham inside the chips were cooked well but a few of them were green as shown in the pic. All in all I was very disappointed and probably won't visit another restaurant again.

Amazing Italian vibe, great look-after customer service, delicious healthy food offer in quality. Many thanks to Ardian in particular who was not just professional, but also efficiently organised in overall services. This dining experience was enjoyable in such a relaxing mode. Appreciated.

I found the food to be fairly average overall my main dish, the lasagna, just didn’t hit the mark for me. However, my waiter Adam went above and beyond to turn things around. He recommended the sea bass instead, and I absolutely loved it! He checked in regularly to make sure I was happy with everything, which really made a difference. The atmosphere and the service were truly 10/10thanks to Adam for making the experience memorable.

Yard Sale Pizza is a popular pizzeria known for its stone-baked pizzas made with local ingredients. It started as a pizza oven in the founder's backyard and has now expanded to multiple locations, including two in Waltham Forest. The pizzeria has gained popularity among Londoners and even attracted celebrity attention. With its laid-back atmosphere and patio, it offers a great dining experience.
Another fabulous family meal from Yard Sale, Walthamstow. We like the availability of non-meat options. I had the Mr Lava Lava - mushrooms, peppers, black olives, chillis - fabulous. The aubergine is another veggie, less spicy option. As well as the imaginative toppings, there is always the legendary Yardsale base, not too thick, nicely chewy, and tasty in its own right. Delivered on time, as ever. We’ll be back!

Good take away pizza. Prepared quickly and the staff were super friendly. Tasty… will try other pizzas in the area and I’ll try this place again I’m sure. Interior is cool and would consider eating in next time.

Fave takeaway pizza in London! Always arrives delicious. Loyalty scheme that gives you free garlic bread and 18 inch pizza as you earn slices for orders. Try the cheesy marmite garlic bread!

So ordered delivery, have been getting yardsale since they opened and even had there pizza at serval friends birthdays when wild card first opened. But gone hugely downhill. Just came back from work and thought give it a try again. 1 hour and 30 kins for a cold pizza that looked like attached. Basically why bother.

Really quite disappointing lately, pizza is nice but doesn't stand out from competition and the menu hasn't changed in some time. On our latest visit the Sloppy G was so spicy we couldn't finish eating it. We visited late on Sunday, we understand we were there near closing time but having all delivery bikes stored next to our table didn't charm us.

Excellent pizza and service. Great staff. One of the tastiest pizzas I’ve had in a long time.

Not sure what's happening, but the usually great pizzas at Walthamstow have really deteriorated lately. This is the second order where they have had a very salty and not much else flavour. No trace of hot honey on the one I ordered this evening and flavouring on top is hard, not bonded with the pizza. Service is always great.

Chiquito is a vibrant dining destination that brings the zest of Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine right to your plate. With a menu brimming with customizable options, diners can indulge in everything from hearty burritos to sizzling fajitas and flavorful tacos, all tailored to their preferences. While some guests have noted that service can be a bit slow during busy times, many rave about the freshness of the food served hot and ready to enjoy.
Went here for my nana's birthday with family members. The service was a little slow, but we did go on a Saturday. The food was fresh and piping hot! I loved my starters (jalapeno poppers) the sauce was alittle too sweet -i'm a diabetic so i have to be careful of my sugar levels. I had the Texan Stack burger meal: it was nice, though i thought the burger would be big too. I also loved the skinned chips. But none the less, my family and i had a lovely time.

Unfortunately this place doesn't hit the mark. Food was cold and not very appetising and on top of that the service was very poor. Been to this place a few times but after today's experience I won't be going back. Noticed many other unhappy customers while we were there which is disappointing as this was a place we enjoyed going to as a family.

The waiting staff is polite and helpful. The beer, nice and cold. I would have hoped for a Mexican brew on tap, but Brahma was fine as well. We ordered the fried jalapenos and the nachos to start. Both arrived on time, and although the jalapenos were not as spicy as expected, the hot sauce on the table helped. The nachos could have been served on a different plate, as in a bowl they get quickly soggy. There are a lot of "toppings" with the nachos, but in our case the toppings were on the bottom of the bowl. And no seasoning on anything. The wait for the main course was much longer. I’d think about 25 minutes. Just one chef in the kitchen for most of the time (until 2 more arrived towards 1PM) and clearly he struggled with the orders from 5 tables. Although a lot of stuff is frozen and fried or microwaved. So the description of the main dish is this “Smoked honey glazed belly pork topped with a fried egg then served with skin-on-fries, corn on the cob and smoked chipotle pit beans.” I would translate it differently. “Thick smoked bacon, fried to a cinder with strong aromas of charcoal and dry as a piece of smoking wood. Served with an overcooked egg on top, two pieces (about the size of a 50 pence coin) of corn and 5 beans in a sauce that has no taste, flavour or spice at all.” (See images) But the burrito was fine. Lots of pulled pork and rice, and a big pot of cream on the side. Will fill you up for sure. It sure looks like Chiquito falls in the same category as many other places, being part of a chain or not, where they only hire chefs that have an irrational fear of seasoning. Salt seems to be the enemy number one here. And as a Mexican place, the lack of using fresh, ingredients such as lime and lemon slices, fresh coriander (so omnipresent in Mexican cooking) and chilies should be addressed.

The food not the best and a bit overly priced. Went to have lunch in the afternoon. Saw the staff busy on the phone. When we were looked after it was more with the manager than the staff. Ordered the Platter Sharers from the starters and the main course. The starter was good however the main course the meat was definitely over cooked. Cocktails was decent, but no presentation, very ordinary plain. But one big disappointment was the check, they charged us for an extra meal. though it was rectified however, the service charge was not adjusted with the bill. The service charge is quite high, if I knew I was paying that amount I would have demanded the service to that level. Please keep an eye out on the bill and the service charge !!!

Nestled in the vibrant Docklands area of London, The Gun is a historic pub that has been serving patrons since 1860. This charming establishment offers a delightful mix of traditional pub vibes and modern amenities, making it an ideal spot for everything from casual meals to lively receptions. With its heated roof terrace boasting stunning views of the O2 arena, guests can enjoy cocktails and craft brews while soaking up the atmosphere.
We enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast, accompanied by lovely, attentive staff and a beautiful sunny terrace with views of the Hackney sky. Despite not having a booking, the staff were incredibly helpful and quickly found us a table. While waiting, we sipped cocktails at the ground-floor bar, enjoying some great tunes. The food was excellent—perfectly cooked beef with one of the tastiest Yorkshire puddings I've ever had, along with delicious veggies. We also had a bread with lard and cheesy leeks as starters, and though we wanted to try the bread and butter pudding for dessert, we were too full. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and I'd like to give special recognition to the staff member who was exceptionally supportive in getting us seated and attentive throughout our lunch.

You MUST eat upstairs at the Gun hosting Rake. Their modern twist on English dish’s was perfect. We got the small plates to share and they were really well sized. The cockles, sardines and chicken were particularly amazing and the desserts too. The staff are also fantastic and accomodating and the vibe and atmosphere gives small French bistro which topped it all off.

Incredibile roast with an asian twist! Came on a sunday to celebrate a birthday and booked the entire top floor room as we were group of 11.. The roast was incredible! It had an amazing flavour that moves slightly away from traditional flavours as it added a but of chinese taste to it. Menu changes weekly which makes it interesting to come back. Service was really attentive too. Roast prices are around 23£ per person so a bit pricey but you definitely pay for quality. Matcha tiramisu was delicious! Drinks prices are average but you get good quality in return.. Would surely recommend booking as there aren’t many tables and gets booked easily.

Had Sunday roast here and the food was delicious and cannot fault it. The tiramisu was especially delicious and amazing portion size. However I would not recommend booking outside for a roast unless it’s just for drinks. We were directed outside for our booking although the benches were sopping wet and it was still raining. Service started off frosty but improved as the meal went on. Would return for the delicious food but would sit inside as benches were uncomfortable and heaters temperamental.

Ate at ling lings before it closed, food was very good, just found the atmosphere overall a bit too dark and the drinkers interrupted upstairs a little and the tables were very small, ling lings definitely need their own space. Cocktails were so good as well! Shame they didn't have the French toast available as that was one I really wanted to try.

Loved this pub. I can't believe we hadn't been there before. We've lived in the area since March and last night was our 1st visit. At the moment they have a Korean restaurant pop up and the food was incredibly good. Every single plate was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the dishes from the menu. The pub is also very good. Low lights, red candles on the tables, excellent music, fast and very friendly staff.

The Globe is a vibrant pub located near the iconic Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, offering an inviting atmosphere for both locals and visitors alike. With its spacious layout, it hosts a variety of nightly entertainment, from comedy shows to live jazz sessions and open mic nights. The pub serves delicious British cuisine while providing stunning views of London's skyline and the River Thames. Originally established in 1891, this long and narrow venue has been modernized yet retains its traditional charm.
🚇 Hackney Central 🍺 £4.60 Cruzcampo The Globe is located on Morning Lane just off Mare Street in Hackney. The nearest station is Hackney Central overground. The original pub on this site was built in 1891. It’s not clear if the pub suffered war damage or was just demolished to make way for the Trelawney Estate and the new pub in 1960. This is a long and narrow flat roof pub which is traditionally decorated with modern feel. As you enter, the servery is on the right and stretches halfway down the bar. At the back of the bar is a raised area which has two dartboards. There is plenty seating throughout, a few TV’s for watching sport and a proper patterned pub carpet. At the front of the pub are a number of benches for having a beer in the warmer months. The beer line offers a selection of mainstream brews and cask ales. I decided on a Cruzcampo, my pint was excellent, price point was fantastic and under five quid. There is no food served at present. We arrived around 4.30pm on a warm Saturday afternoon in August. The pub was packed with a local crowd of young and old punters that proper Hackney locals. The atmosphere was great, there was a upbeat buzz about the place and everyone was friendly. This @craftunionpubs pub shows live sports and host’s Karaoke and Live Music evenings. There are not many born and bred locals pubs left in the Borough of Hackney, so it was great to see @theglobehackney thriving. I absolutely loved visiting here, there is a solid community feel to the pub where gentrification has not entered its doors. The beer was top notch and as cheap as you like. If you want to experience Hackney of old, put this one on your list. More pub info @londonpubmap ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 31.08.24

This Place is horrible. The staff are terrible and the manager is even worse. The Staff are so unprofessional i had to wait to be served while staff was outside smoking and chatting. The place looks like it has not been cleaned for weeks. The manager does not know how to talk to his customers and meets criticisms with slagging off his customers. This was a great pub way back in the day, but the new owner has fallen short. The pub seems to have lost its identity. They have also had more trouble in this pub than ever before all us regulars want to do is have a nice time and drink have fun listen to good music. Also, the pub has lots of things going on that people turn a blind eye to. There's a couple of good security on the door the rest are there jus to make numbers.

My partner and I came in here for some coffee part-way through a hike. She suffers from chronic health problems and physical disability and very much needed to use the bathroom while i ordered. When she asked where it could be found, the manager pointed, didn't look at her, and said "just for customers" before walking off, as my partner tried to explain that we were intending to spend money. As I was explaining this to the manager for a second time and asking for a menu, a member of the kitchen staff shouted at my partner that she wasn't allowed to use the bathroom unless she bought something and drove her away. We are absolutely appalled by this treatment. We are politely aware that many venues have customer only toilets, and were fully intending to spend some time and money in the cafe, but this horrendous failure of service ensures that we will never go there again and we will ensure that it becomes known that it is not a venue that welcomes disabled customers.

I went to the café today hoping to have a pleasant time — what a disappointment! My partner and I, both regular customers, arrived to find that all the outdoor tables and chairs were taken. Upon entering the café, the first thing we saw was a pile of stacked chairs. A few weeks ago, in a similar situation, Antonia — one of the owners — had told me I could help myself and set up a table and chair wherever I liked, so I saw no issue in taking a chair. When some customers eventually left and vacated their chairs, I took one of them and returned the extra chair I had borrowed to the stack. As I did this, I was abruptly confronted by Francisco, the other owner and Antonia’s partner. In a very rude tone, he told me I shouldn't take chairs without asking. While I was trying to process what he had just said (as I am not fluent in English), he shouted at me and came closer, saying “Hey, I’m talking to you!” I tried to explain why I thought it was okay to take the chair, but it was useless. He was clearly agitated, and from that point on, he followed me — first to the counter, then to my table outside. At the counter, he not only shouted at me but also reprimanded his partner in front of all the customers. When he followed me to my table — still yelling — I tried to explain the situation to my partner in my own language, as it was the best way I could express myself in that moment. This frustrated him even more: he demanded that I stop speaking my language and even mocked it. His attitude was aggressive and intimidating, especially coming from someone in a position of power — both as the owner of the café and as a man confronting a woman with a much smaller physical presence than his. It was only when my dog barked at him that he finally stopped shouting (or barking, I should say). I can accept that I should have asked before taking a chair — but nothing justifies the verbal aggression, the intimidation inside the café, and the public humiliation. It was completely disproportionate. His behaviour reveals a lack of judgement, self-control, and sense of hospitality. His attitude was not only authoritarian, but also intimidating and unwelcoming — raising a serious ethical question: who should be running a space that is open to the public? It is truly sad to see how a place that could be welcoming is instead overshadowed by the attitude of someone who seems unable or unwilling to interact respectfully with others. If this business brings so little joy, perhaps it would be better to consider a different line of work — one that doesn’t involve dealing with customers or the public. Because when someone is that hostile and incapable of treating people with basic decency, the result is not just poor hospitality — it makes other people’s lives a little worse, too.

Nestled in Leytonstone, SpiceBox Restaurant is a vibrant and inviting eatery that brings a fresh twist to traditional Indian cuisine. With its colorful decor and cozy booth seating, it offers a casual dining experience perfect for everyone. What sets SpiceBox apart is its commitment to vegan ingredients without compromising on flavor; even meat lovers will find themselves enchanted by the delicious offerings.
Amazing new dishes and flavours in a location totally different from their Walthamstow branch (big fans of both). Left feeling so satisfied and happy! As Spicebox mega-fans, we only tried the new dishes from this location's menu and were not disappointed... Starters included the samosa chaat and chick'n tikka (skewers), mains tandoori cauli steak (throwback to their food stall days) and baingan bharta. Both amazing but I wish we could have eaten more!!! The curries are the star dishes; we should have taken some home. Mango lassi is NECESSARY and oh so good... Good enough to be our dessert. Their Dark Arts espresso aperitif was well done and balanced, we got excited to come back from brunch some time soon! So happy to see such an amazing homegrown business expanding and thriving ❤

🌱🍲Easily the best vegan restaurant we’ve ever been to! 🍲🌱 Katherine.K was an absolutely wonderful host who honestly felt more like a beloved Aunt than a waiter, with great knowledge in the menu, suggested dishes, while we could openly have a laugh & visited frequently enough to ask about our dishes without persistence, she’s our crowned our favourite waiter weve ever had! 🌎 The atmosphere just felt so homely! ✨If the owner could thank her personally from us both that would be Amazing, thank you so much! ✨ ( Previous to this restaurant used to be our Favourite Vietnamese family run restaurant that closed last year due to the pandemic effecting their business. As much as ourselves and many other reviewers here clearly loved them, Spice box is a completely different establishment that shouldn’t be compared to the past owners. ) That being said on being seated we were asked whether we’d dined here before, with a walkthrough of the menu, their most popular dishes, how they recommend portions, drinks & about the table water fee ( which is responsibly sourced, filtered and completely optional ). Prior to coming I had read alot of harsh reviews and from this they clearly listen to their customers, the water fee had clearly been explained and for that we were happy to include that onto our bill. The popadoms are complimentary & were great to pair with the drinks while waiting for our curries. We’d ordered a hot boozy chai ( can be served cold, ) which felt really nice for a cold snowy night in but perhaps not with a hot curry, nether the less it was a nice portion to hold and have alongside our food. And the other being a Mango lashi, which i strongly recommend as a smooth / sweet drink to compliment a spicy curry. Followed by a chocolate brownie with coconut icecream & a Lotis Biscoff cheesscake my partner had already devoured with his mind as Katherine had mentioned vegan cheesecake! 🍰 💫Our 🌱vegan🌱 dining experience was honestly so good with ✨Amazing staff✨ & buzzing Atmosphere we will most Definetly will be returning to try the weekend brunch! 💫 ⭐️Thank you so much to all the Wonderful staff & Chefs who worked hard on Sunday 29th of May! ⭐️

this was different to the usual places I go however enjoyable nonetheless. a vegan only restaurant with what I believe are vegetable or tofu alternatives to chicken/meat. nice decor, nicely laid out with warm staff. the korma banged. as did the tarka daal. highly recommend both. the other dishes were alright. jackfruit vindaloo disappointed a little and the shroom keema was ok. we enjoyed some dessert and masala chai at the end of the night and those went down well. i feel like the glass of mango lassi was a little on the small side for the amount we paid but all in all a good night. they also sell some of the wares so could take something home if you wanted to.

Great food, tastes clean and healthy, loved the Bhajis, the Gallic Nan. Also, the staff were friendly, polite and patient. Impressed by the filtered water, this never happens anywhere else because it's always tap water; Refreshing touch! Looking forward to our second visit, which will be soon.

Nice little place. Not a vegan myself but thought I’d give it a go. The food was actually quite nice and fresh. The customer service was friendly. Price a little bit steep for what it is. Mango lassi for what they were charging is quite high for the little cup you get. Overall worth a visit.

Went here last night with a good friend food is amazing all vegan so great for me!! Did not go for any of the fake meats style as personally not a fan....stayed true to beans n veggies. Great flavours, so much choice, good portion sizes. Great service the staff are lovely. Great vibe will definitely be back again. Back again today for brunch lovely second time had their full Indian brunch lovely

We stumbled upon this GEM tonight and all my vegan dreams came true. I’d given up being able to ever have a paratha or chicken korma. I got both. The chicken korma was filled with veggies and beans too, so it was extra nutritious and filling. The rice was fluffy and yummy. My partners tikka masala, was delicious too. Staff and atmosphere was friendly, clean and well run. Highly recommend you give it a try. We are going back this weekend for the brunch. Can’t wait to try the masala chai.

Service was friendly and great, food was good, restaurant and atmosphere was disappointing. No soft furniture or fabrics, could hear the buzz of the kitchen extractor throughout and the hard wood seats reminded me of prison. Taco Bell is warmer, softer and more inviting. I wouldn't go back to this one :(

Nestled within the vibrant CRATE on St James Street, The Green Grill is a delightful plant-based eatery that offers a unique twist on classic fast food. While it shares space with Chickenish, another vegan spot, both establishments are currently working to enhance their food safety and hygiene practices. At The Green Grill, you can indulge in an array of mouthwatering options like burgers and hot dogs—all entirely vegan! Their standout dish includes crispy Cajun chips that are simply irresistible.
Absolutely loved their Cajun chips! For £12 you can enjoy a main, chips and a drink. You can choose from a selection of burgers or hot dogs - everything is vegan! The classic seitan hot dog was great and is served in a beetroot bun. I definitely recommend the fizzy rhubarb soft drink. Will be back to try their burgers and have more of their crispy, golden and perfectly seasoned chips!

I recently visited The GG shop at Crate, in Walthamstow and ordered the Kimchi Dawg with fries...........OMG. By far my favourite hot dog EVER! Service was impeccable and the staff are passionate about VEGANISM and influencing positive change in the world. More businesses like this, please! :)

Great food in a great place. Even as a meat eater this place is fantastic to eat in, their chips are fantastic and the chikin with buffalo sauce cant be missed. I had the mighty meaty burger and it was great. nice it a try if your passing through, you wont regret it.

The best burger I've ever had! And it's vegan 😍😋 I had Red Devil! It was perfect spice level and the pepper was cherry on the top 😉👌so great mix! Bloody Hell that was great! It was so good that I cannot show you pictures, I couldn't stop eating it 😂 If you have chance to eat in The Green Grill go, eat and enjoy.
Joanna J — Google review
I’m not a vegetarian or a vegan but I’d happily choose this place over a meaty option any day. The menu is simple so you’re not bombarded with a thousand different alternatives, if I see one more ‘corn fed (not) chicken’, I’ll scream. I actually don’t mind the whole marketing behind vegan food, as long as the food is decent and here, it really is. I’ve had the chicken nuggets, the hot dog and he burger (not in one sitting) mind, and it’s all been excellent quality, delicious and I think, totally justified for the price. The kimchi options are great and the accompanying sauces and buns/rolls are really nice. Big recommend for vegan food that packs a real punch. And a special shout out to the super lovely lady at the crate branch, total gem.

Very nice little cafe selling the usual fare along with some Albanian delicacies. Can recommend the sausage and bacon toastie and coffee. Very nice.

20 min wait for 1 black tea during a quiet time in the afternoon. 25 mins for 1 jacket potato that was below average. There were 3 members of staff and it was empty. Embarrassing, this place is not a cafe and the people that run it should be ashamed to call it that. Unfriendly atmosphere as the owners are more focused on hanging around with their loud group of friends than to actually run a business

If you're on the lookout for a cozy spot that serves up delightful comfort food, look no further than Deeney's Cafe in Leyton. This charming eatery is particularly renowned for its haggis toastie, which features a scrumptious blend of crumbled haggis, melted cheddar, caramelized onion, mustard, and fresh rocket all nestled between slices of sourdough. For those seeking a vegetarian option, the Lady Macbeth toastie offers a delicious twist with vegetarian haggis.
A lovely cafe at the back of the William Morris Gallery, facing the backyard garden. The breeze comes in and the room is surrounded by trees and sunshine. The toasts were delicious, and the staff are super friendly.

Discovered Deeney’s at the Morris Gallery today and it was such a lovely surprise. I had the mandarin and chocolate café loaf cake (gluten-free) and an oat milk chai latte — both were delicious, with really well-balanced flavours. Loved being able to sit with my laptop in a calm and welcoming space. So grateful they offer gluten-free options — not always easy to find. I’d definitely come back!

Lovely staff! Very friendly. High-quality food at excellent prices. The roasties may seem expensive but I had a chicken on yesterday for around £9 and it was packed with huge chunks of chicken. I have had a grilled cheese at the Dusty Knuckle for £7.50 and Deeney’s toastie was more substantial. Lovely friendly and polite staff! Leo very kindly took a photo of a group of us for our friend’s birthday. You don’t have to wait for a table but it can get very crowded - as it is so good. Do visit! I would highly recommend it.

Takeout Restaurant
New Grace's Chinese Restaurant in London offers a delightful dining experience with its flavorful dishes. The beef in green pepper and black bean sauce is highly recommended, especially when paired with a touch of chili for an extra kick. While the special chow mein noodles may not stand out on their own, they become a perfect combination with the sauce. The satay chicken skewers could use some improvement as they lacked flavor, but the complimentary vegetable spring rolls were a nice addition to the meal.
I have been a regular customer for several years and the food is tasty, hot and satisfying. Delivery service is very fast and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I am thankful for a reliable, affordable service. Xxx
Zal D — Google review
I’ve never walked out of a restaurant thinking “why did I bother?” Unfortunately, we were not really feeling welcome from the start. The portion size was small to average, the staff were not really friendly and I honestly wish we hadn’t gone there. When ordering, we were asked to pay before we received our dine in meal….. that’s never happened before. We ordered an 2 appetisers, 2 egg fried rice, a chicken curry and a chicken with cashew nuts both without vegetables. We received the rice first which was dry, unappealing and smelt burnt. Then my curry and a serving of sweet and sour chicken with vegetables (which we did not order). 5 minutes later, the appetisers arrived followed closely by the chicken with cashew nuts(which was clearly an afterthought as the cashews were dry on top of the dish). About 10 minutes later, after hearing an argument coming from the kitchen, the waiter came to the table and informed us that the chef had sent out the sweet and sour chicken in error. I said it most definitely was …… he looked as though he was expecting a payment from us but that wasn’t happening. He then said we could have it on the house. My appetiser was honey bbq ribs which were very oily and mostly tasteless and the other half had chicken satay sticks. The satay sauce was not appealing and the chicken was very dry. All in all, I will not be going back as we mostly finished our food got up and left and no one even bothered to acknowledge our departure. I think i now understand why I had to pay before hand, I hate the notion, but I would quite happily have refused to pay based on the service and quality. I hope this was an off night but I will not be trying it again as £32 is an expensive way to try a place out.

This place describes itself as ‘World class’ but this is is pushing the description somewhat. Just tried to order a Brandy Alexander cocktail. They have no cream to be able to make this simple cocktail. This ‘World class cocktail bar’ (Their description, not mine) is in a hotel but apparently they can’t rustle up any cream? Nice atmosphere and otherwise good service but describing this as Word Class is World Class Overselling!

Mark was an excellent server! Super good at his job and gave us an excellent service and recommendation of drinks
Siah L — Google review
The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because I’m trying to give this place the benefit of doubt and perhaps caught service on a bad day and as someone who served in the f&b industry for several years, I empathise when it happens. I only wanted a few drinks with a friend and we left before even having our first round, due to what felt like staff ignoring us the entire time we were there. At first I suspected it may have been because we were dressed casually, but after seeing other customers in hoodies, this couldn’t have been the case. We walked in to get seated and nobody came to greet us after standing around for a few minutes. I went to the bartender to ask for a table and it was only after that another staff member escorted us to our table. But before we were even at our seats, another customer came up to the staff we were with because they couldn’t open a bottle and she literally stopped bringing us to our table, pointed to where we could sit and tended to this customer. It’s like she literally forgot about us. Okay, whatever. We sat down and we just...waited...expecting her to come back to us with menus / explain service but absolutely nothing. We saw several staff go back and forth, serve other customers and not once did anyone look at our empty table and question if something was wrong. I then started to think I just needed to flag someone down or go up to the bar again. It was only after another table of 2 moved nearer to us and I asked them how to get drinks. One of them said “we’ve been waiting for a bottle for 40 minutes.” That just spoke volumes of what we were going to expect if we stayed longer. So we left. I had high expectations for this place. As I said before, maybe it was just a bad day for service and I understand external factors could be at play here, so I hope the next visit won’t be as rough.

Unbelievably slow service at the drive-thru Nobody answers when you’re at the Telecom box you have to drive round to the pay here, then they look at you like what are you doing after sitting at the first bit for ages then the food takes about 10 minutes whilst you’re sitting waiting for it and they don’t even make your drink in that time and then it takes them another five minutes to make a drink. Honestly this needs a good manager in here to crack the whip as this is not fast food in any way shape or form

Never been to a McDonald’s with such slow service everytime. A good 25 minute wait in the drive through on a good day. It’s ridiculous. Even when it’s quiet, your orders a good 10 minutes when ordered inside. Not sure what goes on inside as I’ve never been to a McDonald’s with such a long wait.
Ava E — Google review
Absolutely the worst McDonalds I have ever ordered from. I typically order McDonalds from Just Eat because of distance and have ordered from the next two closest branches many times - Walthamstow and Woodford and, aside from maybe a missing dip, never had a problem. Today I accidentally ordered from the Chingford branch which I typically avoid coz I usually wait hours for my food and it's stone cold. On this occasion, I ordered a large Arch Meal with a shake and a happy meal with toy for my daughter. What arrived was my burger, a large fries only filled half way up and a happy meal with no toy - all of which were luke warm. The drinks were completely missing, to call my order a "meal" is insulting and my daughter got very sad at the lack of toy as it's the part she looks forward to the most. I don't make Google reviews very often, but the sheer level of incompetence this branch shows is so mind boggling it has to be through lack of care, no one can be this bad at their job for this long and still be there, surely?

Most of this experience if not all of this experience was made absolutely brilliant by the service. I think the guy who served me was called Vincent and he was just fantastic. I have never had better customer service from anywhere in my life. He was polite, kind and respectful and he prepared my food so quickly I didn't even get to sit down. And it was still great quality. Overall a fantastic experience and that man needs a raise!

This is my fourth visit I kept on having the £5 chips and fish bites that is excellent value for money. Chips seems ok the fish bites were good too you get three. My visit today I ordered a Large Cod £12 I've taken a picture of it and you can judge it for yourself, if this is large I wouldn't wanna see the small. A real disappointment I'll stick to my £5 launch time offer from now on. The lady that serves has always a nice smile and she is really polite. She is an asset to this establishment. But don't get a large cod as it'll disappoint you. I've put a wooden fork just to show you the size.
Ali O — Google review
I'm so disappointed in the food I got today. I ordered a fish and chips and it was ready less than a second. When I looked in the box I saw a cod had black and overcook as me and hardly any chips. I asked Kindly if I could get a little bit more chips, when they did give me more chips they basically gave me 2 to 3 chips because it was hardly anything in there still as you can see. I then asked was there any fresh fish available and the girl said to me someone may have ordered it so I might not be able to get it. So I said ok it ok forget it I'll take the food. These young children teenagers serving in a food shop are serving people small amounts of food. I was so looking forward I was so looking forward to having these fish and chips. When I came here 2 weeks ago, a nice lady treated me and said hello, that's another thing I forgot to say I had to say when I came into the shop I said hello to the girl twice because all she said was how can I help you. so these are the customer service I'm having to deal with on a long day at work. So when I came here 2 weeks ago I was greeted by a lovely lady who had great customer service the food took about 5 to 6 minutes that's how I know the food was definitely fresh and cooked. This will definitely be the last time I'm coming here. Today was the second time that I've been here I won't be wasting my money again on this type of customer service small amount of food and fish and chips I'm not even fresh. I definitely got the bottom barrel of the chips and the overcooked fish. So disappointed.

I've been eating from Wilsons for more than 10 years now but they seem to be resting on their laurels and can't even bother to provide freshly fried chips anymore. My most recent visit and probably last was extremely unpleasant as I was served stale chips and not so fresh fish. Shockingly, I suspect the oil they used was also from the day before. Disgusting considering they charge £13 for a small cod and chips in Zone 5. Wouldn't recommend as they're not the same anymore. Continuing to do a disservice to their respected name.
Deniz C — Google review
My favorite place, but a huge disappointment. The price is the same as always, but the portion is half the usual size. The fish is as pictured - burnt. I hope the manager notices these comments, because this is very wrong. Very disappointing!

Best fish and chips in the area within a 10 mile radius. The people are amazing and the food is spectacular. Grateful we live within a 1 minute walk away, not so good for the waistline mind 🤩❤️❤️❤️

There are many fish and chip shops around and I've tried many of them. But if I can, and it's not too much of a diversion on my travels , I will always make the effort to get to Wilson's. It's all good food and the Haddock is fantastic.

During my recent visit to Sam's Fish & Chips, I was immediately enveloped in a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for an enjoyable meal. The highlight of my experience was undoubtedly the food; Sam's is renowned for serving some of the finest fish and chips around. The fish, encased in a perfectly crispy batter, revealed tender cod that simply melted in my mouth.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sam's Fish and Chips, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the food. I can state without any doubt Sam's serves some of the best fish and chips in town. The batter on the fish was perfectly crispy, giving way to tender, flaky cod that practically melted in my mouth. And the chips? Crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a symphony of flavours that left me craving more. The staff at Sam's are friendly and attentive. In conclusion, if you're in the mood for delicious fish and chips served with a side of warm hospitality, look no further than Sam's Fish and Chips. Whether you're a longtime fan or a first-time visitor, one thing's for sure – you won't be disappointed.

Came here yesterday evening for eat in and paid for the: Doner meat and chips with salad for £12. It tastes good but the donor here was kinda hard and not soft when eating. Another thing is I never received my salad part of this food when it comes with it. I waited but never received it.

Lovely fish and chips, we've had takeaway a few times and called up before and then collected. Always a nice treat, friendly service and good sized generous portions - would recommend! A good location just down Station Road walking distance from Chingford Overground Station :)

Lady in the front super rude, I asked can my kids use the toilet and she started screaming at me at them that they better keep it clean, they left the door opened a little bit and she was screaming to close the door. We wanted to make a big order but we were disgusted with the rudeness and screaming. Not recommended, people who can't be nice to people shouldn't work in customer service. Screaming at the customer is unacceptable.

Waited over an hour for my food as they were waiting to find a driver, wanted to cancel the order but would of been charged as they were preparing order, hello why would you prepare an order if no driver received food hour and half later food cold, and they say they are excellent NEVER ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN.

Bonners Fish Bar is a bustling gem that truly captures the essence of a classic fish and chip shop. On Fridays, it’s particularly lively, but the wait for their freshly fried cod is absolutely worthwhile. The batter is light and crispy, making each bite delightful. Their home-cut chips are equally impressive, often paired with mushy peas or curry sauce for an authentic experience. While cash may be needed due to card machine issues, this only adds to the charm of supporting a local business.
Best fish and chips I’ve had in London. Consistent and always fresh. Home cut chips and light batter. Always get the mushy peas and curry sauce. Also lovely staff!

Cheated me out of food I paid £27.40 for. I went out Friday night for fish and chips. I hadn't eaten all day and was looking forward to a large CoD and chips. I always buy saveloy for snacks, so got 3 and decided to try a Jamaican patty. I saw him take a large CoD out of the drawer, and he looked round to see that I had seen it. I went to sit down and wait. What I didn't know is that when i wasnt looking, he then put that large CoD back in the drawer and took out 2 little very thin pieces instead - this is them in a 9" lunch container. I don't know if its because I'm a small woman he decided a large CoD was too much - but people treat their families on a Friday night without bringing them all to the chippy, or whether because I bought saveloys that I didn't need a large cod, but he swapped in these 2 very thin pieces (1cm for nearly the whole length and 1.5-2cm at the very top). If you know fish & chips, it's the large flakes of soft fish you get with a large cod that you pay for. This was mostly batter and the pieces were hard and dry, with very minimal flesh. I had been looking for a local chippy for a regular friday night supper and this is 6 mins away from my house so would have been perfect but this is a very dishonest con man. He confirmed I wanted large chips for £5 but I got a normal portion. The saveloy are standard and I haven't looked at the Jamaican patty as yet. Don't go here for your food as it looks like he takes one look at you and decides what to dump on you regardless of what you pay for. No wonder he was completely empty on a Friday night. Never again.

Brilliant local fish & chip shop. Great service always, but phone ahead on a Friday! Bonus is you get an original Banksy.
John R — Google review
This place is busy on a Friday but it's worth the wait for freshly fried cod. Nice and crispy batter. Saveloy is good too. Card machine wasn't working so take some cash just in case. There is a £10 minimum order for cards but this is understandable given the high transaction charges small businesses have to pay. Support your local chippy, pay a visit today.

KFC Leyton - Lea Bridge Road is a popular destination for those craving delicious fried chicken served in iconic buckets. The worst KFC around the locals. Firstly there were four drinks missing, I drove back in icy weather to get our drink. Secondly I requested for bottle robinson as my wife would put in children’s pack lunch, however I was been told only cup of fruit shoot available. The reason why so annoying is my wife has the same meal last nigh, she was confirmed bottle or cup of drink. Wouldn’t recommend this KFC. Awful service!!!

Food was hot and delicious. I noticed during my visit last week that a driver came to collect food without a delivery bag, The staff on duty did not give it to him, he said, this is against their rules, because this way there is a chance of the food getting cold. Then that driver gave a thread, he will give bad Google reviews to all the drivers he knows. It was a very bad incident, that day.

Dear KFC Customer Care Team, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding a very bad experience I had today at your branch located at 590 Lee Bridge Road, London. I visited the store to try the new Dirty Louisiana Burger, but the chicken served was in unacceptable condition – it was extremely hard, looked old, and even had a black colour. I immediately raised this with the manager. At first, he said he would not charge me, then later decided to check the chicken fillet himself. He agreed it was hard and offered to change it. However, instead of replacing it properly, he put two chicken strips inside the burger instead of the chicken fillet that comes with the Dirty Louisiana Burger. When I questioned this, he admitted that all the chicken pieces were hard, which is why he gave me strips instead. I reminded him that I had paid for the Dirty Louisiana Burger, not a different burger. After further discussion, he charged me again for another burger, but unfortunately the replacement was also very hard and inedible. I tried one bite and had the same bad experience. When I complained again, the manager refused to listen and walked away. This was extremely frustrating, disappointing, and not what I expect from KFC. The food quality was unacceptable, and the customer service was very poor. I kindly request that KFC urgently investigates the food quality at this store to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. No customer should be served old, hard chicken in this condition.

KFC Chingford - Albert Crescent is a well-known eatery specializing in crispy chicken servings, accompanied by combo deals and various side dishes. During less crowded periods, the service is typically pleasant and diligent. In my numerous encounters, I have yet to encounter any issues with missing items or order errors; however, this may vary depending on the time of day one chooses to dine. The seating area is average in terms of size and comfort, but personally, I often opt for takeout instead.
I came with all my family after watching a movie at the cinemas so was looking for a nice cosy KFC to dine at. The staff here was really kind and helped clean up the larger sized table very quickly as there was a bunch of us. The food also tasted good. Fresh chicken fresh sides can taste the difference from a kfc closes to my home.

The location is super convenient: nestled at 1-2 Albert Crescent, Chingford Mount, London E4 6SH — easy to pop in for dine-in or grab-and-go. • The classic KFC appeal: you know what you’re getting — that signature mix of Original Recipe crunch and flavour that keeps loyal fans coming back. • Friendly atmosphere when things are going smoothly: the layout and seating give you a good spot to chill if you choose to stay in rather than just takeaway. • Good value for what you’re getting: for a chain-fast-food brand, KFC still hits that sweet spot for satisfying a craving without breaking the bank.

If you're on the hunt for a satisfying meal, look no further than The Fish & Chicken Shop. This delightful eatery specializes in classic battered fish and chips, alongside a tempting selection of halal chicken, burgers, and sausages. While it may not offer fine dining experiences, it captures the essence of street food with generous portions that can easily feed two people. Diners rave about the proper fat chips and tasty cod, while fried mushrooms are a standout side dish.
This is a very decent fast food place. It wasn’t the best fish and chips I’d ever had, but I wasn’t expecting fine dining restaurant quality - this place is like a good street food vendor. The portions are huge! You get enough food for 10£ to feed 2 people easily. Proper fat chips and decent cod. The fried mushrooms were excellent! Friendly staff, super fast service - I was out in 2 minutes. They accept credit cards for orders over 5£, which is very convenient - most fast food places don’t. Good place for a fast snack.

My 'go to' local 'fish'n'chippy'. Very nice piece of cod yesterday with a pickled onion! The chips looked good too and the portions ample. A visit here tends to be an occasional indulgence but I've never been disappointed. Service was very good. Unfortunately a nice piece of fish is no longer the cheap dish it was. However quality to price here is very fair.

The service was great. BUT the food was absolutely tasteless. The wings were overcooked to the point where the chicken skin was rock hard. The turkish people before had amazing food but the new team really need to change the food up cause it was absolute grim.

Great service from the gentleman and the new young man. Very quick and fast service. The young man is so friendly and generous. Great fish and chip shop. The chicken batter has always stayed the same and is so delicious. Portion sizes are large and halal. They finally have their seating again which is great. The place needs and clean including the toilet but all in all a great chicken shop

I am quite sad to be posting this, but hopefully it'll get back to the guys and they can improve on the food. I think it must have changed management, because the fish batter has changed significantly, and not for the better. It used to be crispy, light and worth traveling for, but now it's just not very nice. It's heavy, doughy and has a strong flavour and smell of something odd. Also, the fish was dry and inedible. I've been eating here for years, and for the first time ever the fish was sub par and I didn't finish it. Time to find somewhere else, I guess.

As a Pakistani, I love going to this place. There's loads of different types of Pakistani food here and snacks. I have fairly good prices. It has gone up in price over the years but everything has really some criticism I have that is that the service is a little bit slow sometimes, especially when the shop is busy which is fair. Don't miss out on their massive, sweet plantains that add a delightful touch to every meal. The packaging ensures your food stays warm during takeout, making it perfect for enjoying at home or on the go.
First time trying Caribbean food, I got the oxtail. The texture and flavour of the meat was amazing. The woman was who serving the food was very patient and understanding. Would definitely come again.
Howard J — Google review
I read a review previously that said coleslaw wasn’t fresh, you would think these things would taken into account, order a meal today which quite frankly there’s nothing Jamaican about this. The jerk sauce taste so fresh and tangy like they add water to it, not sure what kind of rice and peas this is, more like seasoned rice. Not happy at all. Great idea with the jerk sausage and wings but horrible tasting.
Avaloyd C — Google review
I ordered a delivery from Jerk Fusion and unfortunately it was really disappointing. The chicken was dry and lacked flavour, the rice and peas were bland, and the patties tasted more like something from a supermarket freezer than proper Caribbean ones. The mac and cheese was especially underwhelming – it honestly reminded me of something frozen rather than freshly made. To make things worse, the order came to over £50, which felt very overpriced for the quality of food I received. Maybe the experience is better if you eat in, but as a delivery it just wasn’t good at all. I really wanted to enjoy it, but this just didn’t live up to expectations.
Reece B — Google review
I have never been so ashamed to be jamacian in my entire existence until today, the food was poor and the most disgusting thing i have ever seen is how you packaged the salad and veg dumped in a plastic bag. Food standards needs to review this place immedately!
Andre G — Google review
The food was honestly incredibly disappointing. I went here on Thursday after a long shift, safe to say I will not be returning. The food tastes stale and definitely did not meet my standards. Some things were over seasoned while others were not seasoned enough. The oxtail and rice that I ordered might as well have been called oil and rice as the food was covered in it. The patties were great.. if you’ve never tasted the real ones from the Caribbean, otherwise those tasted stale too. 2/10 the only thing I enjoyed from this entire thing was the drinks which don’t even come from there.
Athena E — Google review
Ordered from this place because the deals and food looked good compared to others. The food arrived and we were disappointed, the jerk chicken had hair on it,the rice was just dry and very peppery and the coconut cake cost £3 on the menu but had the £1.40 retail price on the wrapper (yes a wrapper) we assumed it was going to be homemade, the dumpling was just grease so we left it. Overall the best part of this meal was the overripe plantain but the rest 👎🏿.

I am visiting London on a business trip and disappointed is an understatement here. had came here and ordered 2 patties and some oxtail & rice. the patties which came lumpy and cold tasted old and left out as if cooked 5 weeks ago! Slamburger is actually like McDonald’s!. The taste is the same. We usually have the kids meals and double burger meals. The only thing I would say is a down side, is that the meals are cold when they arrive (Uber) and not a big portion for children, even though children don’t always eat loads!. The photos below is how the meals come when ordered!. The prices are similar to McDonald’s. Would def recommend! Edit 2024-still yummy!.

Absolutely loved the food here – everything was packed with flavour, especially the burgers which were juicy and cooked perfectly. The loaded fries were amazing, cheesy and full of toppings, exactly how it should be! The portions are very generous, and you definitely get value for money. Service was really friendly and quick, and the staff made sure everything was right with our order. The place had a nice vibe too, perfect for enjoying a proper burger meal. Out of all the halal burger spots I’ve tried, this one is up there as one of the best. I’ll definitely be coming back again for another round. I'm sorry it had come to this and my review is on the low side. I have been going here since they opened up and I know my fillet max well, very well as it's my go too. I haven't been I would say for about 7 or 8 months but I decided tonight and I can openly say the quality has gone down. The beef patty in my fillet max was no longer beef or resembled meat that it used to. It's clearly some substance mechanically processed. The chicken again is no longer a fillet that they used to do but again mechanically processed patty squashed together which resembles some rubbery texture. I'm quite disappointed as to where the quality has gone.

During a recent visit to Morrisons Cafe in Chingford, I indulged in their delightful afternoon tea, which was an absolute steal at just £5 for two. The experience included scrumptious scones paired with two mini pots of jam and generous servings of clotted cream and butter. To top it off, we enjoyed a lovely cheesecake and fresh sandwiches alongside mini pork pies, all beautifully presented on a cake stand with our own pots of tea.
Had the afternoon tea today in Chingford morrisons which was a bargain at £5 for 2. Normally £10 for 2 which is still very good value. It was nice the scones were lovely and we had 2 different mini pots of jam plus adequate clotted cream and even butter. The little pot of cheesecake was lovely too. Sandwiches fresh and also got mini pork pie each. It was served on a cake stand with pot of tea each.

OK for the kids...just about. Unfortunately chips were greasy. Portions for the kids were tiny. Don't recommend for adults, just very dry. Should have waited to get home for lunch or just got a simple jacket potatoe. Overall spacious inside, prices are cheap. Kids eat free.

We were visiting Chingford and decided to try the Morrisons café, since my wife really enjoyed the English breakfast at their Milton Keynes branch. The food and service here weren’t quite on par with Milton Keynes, which I’d rate a solid five stars, so I’m giving this one four. Still, it was a pleasant experience overall. By the way, kids foods are free for adult orders over £5 as at June 2025 😊.

I went for the ultimate breakfast and to be honest the mushrooms were not so ultimate they had a funny texture as if they were boiled and tossed about the kitchen wasn't happy with them but overall apart from the driest fried bread in miles it was a pleasant experience which I may consider again if it wasn't on a Friday afternoon full of fish and chip lovers which took up all the ultimate breakfast plates which left me with a rather rectangle plate with beans beans spilling over the edge

Every time we’ve been down to Morrisons Chingford at 4/ 4 15 they say they’re closed. They must just open for breakfast and lunch. It would’ve been nice to have even a cup of tea but they said no not even tea. I’ve had breakfast there and it was ok. Very disapointing!

Very pleasant experience. Friendly place with helpful staff. Had beans on toast with egg and my companions had full breakfasts. Coffee was excellent. Last came here about 6 years ago and much improved since then. Only slight negative it was an unusually hot and humid day and air con wasn't quite reaching window seat.

Half price on all food and drinks today! Expect long ques..

Nice bright cafe with decent food. The prices are good and good choice available. The till staff though can be the hardest hurdle to pass. Often will make you feel like they are doing you a favour and will get ignored fire a while before served or will look busy with taking your order. Any requests will often get a shaking if the head. This seem to apply to a number of staff at the till so I can only assume this must be a culture that is being accepted at this branch. The online order system is not very good otherwise would rather use that she give this place a 4* or even 5*.

If you're in Leyton and looking for a delightful culinary experience, Urban Shake And Grill is the place to be! This charming spot offers a warm atmosphere with friendly staff who are eager to cater to your cravings. Whether you’re indulging in their gourmet beef burger or savoring the peri-peri grilled chicken and lamb shish, each dish bursts with flavor. Don't miss out on their fantastic milkshakes—especially the Ferrero Rocher variety that’s simply divine!

The friendliest staff you will ever meet. Just don't be rude to them. They will do your order as you like no matter how far you deviate from the menu! Good quality food for this location.

Travelled to Leyton football ground and while I was driving past, saw someone doing shisha outside so stopped by to do some hookah, as well as I got some munch. The guys in there were really friendly, nice and clean shop, tried the gourmet beef burger and mates tried the peri peri grill chicken and lamb shish, my burger was delicious and for dessert we all had three different milkshakes, the milkshake were fantastic and amazing (I had to try my favourite Ferrero Rocher). The shisha was great paid £10. They have outside sitting area too. Free parking on the side road. A must visit if your round the area, great service with fantastic food. They do local delivery too. Worst experience ever with this place first of all the order was wrong , the manager didn’t want to rectify the error. Anywho the food I did receive was greasy and did not taste good at all . The salad they use is definitely old. I recommend you don’t order from here AVOID

Takeout Restaurant
Today, I tried Urfa Kitchen for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional Turkish food it offered in Leyton. The kebab shop stands out from others in the area due to its use of fresh ingredients and their ability to deliver a freshly prepared taste. The quality of the kebabs is comparable to that of a restaurant, making it an excellent choice for takeaway. Overall, Urfa Kitchen provides a delightful culinary experience with its authentic flavors and high standards.
Ordered for the first time today. Best Turkish I have had in the Leyton area. Fresh ingredients and tasted freshly prepared.
