What a gem of a Cafe this is! It was recommended to us by my wife's aunt, who lives in the area and used to stop in with her late husband for a drink and a bite to eat, and I can see why! The warmth of welcome from Enita, Elisa and Nonna Maria reminds that even in these divided times we live in, for some people community and curiosity in your fellow humans is still alive! It's a lovely place to sit, chat, people watch. The menu, with it's blend of traditional dishes alongside the more exotic choice - such as the palestinian shakshoukeh dish I had (pictured) is both hearty, interesting and great value. Whilst a 100,000 people marched on the otherside of London wanting their country back, we sat admist the vibrant, ethnically diverse Wood Green community and all was well. We'll be back. The Old Station Yard Café - Quietly Brilliant and Easy to Miss Just two minutes from Wood Street Station, tucked behind Lancaster Garden Centre in E17, this café is one of those places you hope to stumble on. There’s space to breathe, rich smooth coffee, and food cooked fresh - we had homemade potato cakes straight from the pan. The furniture is a vintage mix that gives the place real character, and the menu includes great options for vegetarians and vegans. This family-run café is thoughtfully decorated, with artwork by local artists and space for children to play without ever feeling intrusive. It’s a visual feast - warm, calming, and full of detail. It’s ideal for a slow morning, a quiet catch-up, or simply taking a moment. We’ll definitely be back - and next time, we’re bringing the family.

We had the most wonderful experience at the Old Station Yard Café! From the moment we stepped inside, we were met with such warmth and kindness — it genuinely felt like walking into a family home. Enitan and her daughter were the perfect hosts, so welcoming and friendly, it made our afternoon extra special. There’s such a lovely community feel to the café — everyone is greeted like an old friend, and the atmosphere is full of heart. And the banana and chocolate cake? Absolutely unbelievable — rich, moist, and packed with flavour. Honestly one of the best cakes we've ever had! My mum and I had such a good time, we didn’t want to leave. Thank you for such a beautiful experience — we’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic place. The only minus is that there is a very busy road next to it. But! There is a parking space, gold course, and place to rent bikes if you want to ride in the forest. The food is well presented, fresh and big portions. It is very tasty coffee, which is important to me as i drink black. Very friendly atmosphere.

We ventured to The Holly Trail Café for lunch after an enjoyable walk around Epping Forest in the sunshine. The fine weather meant that we could sit outside which was useful as internally the café is pretty compact. Although it does offer toilets which you could probably use even if you're not making a purchase. On arrival there's a decent menu written on the wall which covers everything from sandwiches and baguettes to a full English breakfast. There are also a selection of homemade cakes available which do look rather tempting. Still we decided to try a range of sandwiches and an omelette. Because we were sitting outside we were unfortunately downgraded to wooden cutlery (maybe the youths that we saw performing community service nearby are prone to stealing them otherwise?). Anyway there we sat with our food buzzer and cups of tea waiting for our lunch. In fact we waited long enough to wonder if our buzzer was broken! Still our order did arrive in the fullness of time and really we could live with the delay because the food was clearly freshly made from scratch and that makes all of the difference. The sandwiches themselves were notably good in using quality ingredients and arriving with both salad and some crisps. So they were more than acceptable while my omelette was piping hot and pleasingly cheesy. So The Holly Trail Café hit the mark and I doubt that you'll be disappointed if you stop by.

Until last week we were regulars when walking our dogs in the area. The food was always very good - clean and precise - and the coffee likewise. Unfortunately when we rocked up last week, with our two small dogs in tow, as usual, the waitress decided we couldn’t sit at a particular table in the so-called dog-friendly part of the cafe as it was too close to the food- preparation area, even though the dogs themselves were on leads and one is so small she usually sits on our laps. Strange this, because we have sat there on previous occasions, without an issue. Perhaps there has been a change in policy. We were told to sit at a smaller table adjacent to the toilets, which was unsuitable for our needs. So, best check which parts of the dog-friendly cafe are actually dog-friendly before you take your seat. We shan’t be patronising them again as we ourselves prefer not to be patronised. It’s a great pity because their offerings are far better than Butler’s, and we could always order a portion of chicken and bacon for our “girls” but hey-ho.

Served by a nice friendly lady. I had a vegan breakfast, mushrooms were really good, hash brown tasty, not too keen on the vegan sausage, or the spinach. The boys however both enjoyed their eggs on toast, one week done one normal as requested.

We went on a walk and ended up here for Brunch. It was cosy in there. The food was not bad. We didn't find the price for the menu on the blackboard and drinks (except the sausage sandwich). Thought what we paid was not worth the juices after we tried to work around the prices of food. We didn't like the juices in these plastic cups as we dined in. It was a very small drink for the price we paid.

One of the worst tasteless coffees I have ever had. The breakfast was swimming in grease. Hard overcooked bacon, greasy hard hash browns, eggs good. The ingredients were very good but very badly cooked.

Relaxed vibe friendly place - we popped in for some brunch and had a good time. Large menu & nice food, with outside eating area for warmer weather. They catered well for our toddler as well. A stones throw from the golf course and next to Chingford plain, it's great for grabbing some food mixed with a bit of nature. Also a short walk from the Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge & Connaught Water

Decent, noce atmosphere though some of the sofa backs were broken so you could not lean on them. The waiting period was very long which was disappointing as i waited 42 minutes for a English breakfast. The food itself was very good. The drink i ordered which was a lemon soemthing i cant really remeber was quite underwhelming since i paid around £3 for it.

Unbelievably slow service at the drive-thru Nobody answers when you’re at the Telecom box you have to drive round to the pay here, then they look at you like what are you doing after sitting at the first bit for ages then the food takes about 10 minutes whilst you’re sitting waiting for it and they don’t even make your drink in that time and then it takes them another five minutes to make a drink. Honestly this needs a good manager in here to crack the whip as this is not fast food in any way shape or form

Never been to a McDonald’s with such slow service everytime. A good 25 minute wait in the drive through on a good day. It’s ridiculous. Even when it’s quiet, your orders a good 10 minutes when ordered inside. Not sure what goes on inside as I’ve never been to a McDonald’s with such a long wait.

Absolutely the worst McDonalds I have ever ordered from. I typically order McDonalds from Just Eat because of distance and have ordered from the next two closest branches many times - Walthamstow and Woodford and, aside from maybe a missing dip, never had a problem. Today I accidentally ordered from the Chingford branch which I typically avoid coz I usually wait hours for my food and it's stone cold. On this occasion, I ordered a large Arch Meal with a shake and a happy meal with toy for my daughter. What arrived was my burger, a large fries only filled half way up and a happy meal with no toy - all of which were luke warm. The drinks were completely missing, to call my order a "meal" is insulting and my daughter got very sad at the lack of toy as it's the part she looks forward to the most. I don't make Google reviews very often, but the sheer level of incompetence this branch shows is so mind boggling it has to be through lack of care, no one can be this bad at their job for this long and still be there, surely?

Very poor. Forgot my apple pie and happy meal which we had noticed and they gave it to us straight away but we only noticed one of the burgers was missing when we got home! If using the drive-through or getting takeaway, make sure you check they have given you everything that yo had ordered.

Extremely slow service. Staff don’t understand basic English- pulled up at the drive thru and read my code out, she ignored it and said 2 separate orders which were someone else’s. Kept repeating my code and telling her my correct order, she still thought i ordered something else.

Ordered the Freedom breakfast with extra black pudding and got a traditional one instead🙃. Bacon was cooked how I asked for it (well done), and so was the egg for some strange reason. Not too busy and friendly bar service.

We always hang out in this wetherspoon and order both phone and at the till. But today 29:10 at 18:00 the english girl(could not catch the name) at the desk - pub desk with the glasses quite slim, her customer service is terrible. I asked for the mix and match cocktail price to make sure but she is like she doesn’t want to answer and pretend like she could not hear. Meantime, she made her own drink without taking my order or giving ful attention meanwhile I was asking to order. That behaviour makes me irritated and surprised how i got treated as a regular guest. This branch needs to train its staff to be nice and attentive.

Great place for really reasonable food and drinks. I go there sometimes for breakfast and if I were to say anything negative about it, it would be the eggs and beans always tend to be luke warm. Other than that, it's fab!

I eat and drink in this pub on a regular basis, the staff are great, food not bad for the price and to get a breakfast and unlimited coffee/tea for under £5 is absolutely amazing 👌

Love visiting The Kingd Ford - JD Wetherspoon. I always order their chicken wings its delicious either tge pili pili sauce and chips yummy. My mum loves having bangers and chips the atmosphere is lovely everyone is friendly and the service is good.

The Vallay Cafe is truly one of the best breakfast spots in the area. Their coffee is absolutely perfect – fresh, rich in flavor, and brewed just right. Combined with the delicious breakfast options and the warm atmosphere, it’s the ideal place to start your day. Highly recommended!

After several hours of hiking in Epping Forest, we reached this little cafe which is located in a very convenient location. It’s impossible to park a car outside but thankfully they have a large car park. We had our puppy with us which was allowed in - very much appreciated as gesture on behalf of the lady manager. The inside of the cafe is rather large too, split into two lounge areas. It appeared clean and tidy, friendly staff and good food (personally, I had full breakfast even though it was just after 2pm). Very affordable prices. Clean toilets. Very practical. It gave me the impression of a place for a comfort stop other than a destination where you’d bring your family or friends for Sunday roast or afternoon tea. We very much enjoyed our visit, the drinks and the food. If we were to return to Epping Forest again soon we’d definitely go back to this little cafe.

I have been a customer for Asda Leyton for over 20 years now. This is first time I found a security staff member named ‘Dalil’ has been abusive, rude, abrupt, on my visit to the store yesterday. At the self-check out he was throwing my items from the basket on the floor and random places. When I requested him, please do not throw the items, they might break, he replied “if breaks you can get a new one”. He then continues throwing items on the floor. I had to ask him to stop and get someone else to come and to the checks. When another customer service advisor came to do the check, he was walking around pushing and shoving my little daughter. In regards, I have requested a manager to intervene and take necessary action, regretfully, the manager explained that, he is unable to take any actions as the security team is run by alternative company. I have witnessed on my other visits the security staffs are extremely rude towards customers, and the staffs are not very helpful towards customer. Shame on you ASDA, will avoid and would request everyone to avoid this store. Unless they make necessary training to this staff.

Complaint about unacceptable treatment and unprofessional management I would like to file a serious complaint regarding the way my family and I were treated at your store. While shopping, my child accidentally placed two spray bottles into our stroller without me noticing. As soon as I realized, I immediately removed the items. Despite this, an employee began shouting at me aggressively, questioning why the items were in the stroller. This behavior was completely unacceptable, especially since I had not left the store or attempted to take anything without paying. How do you think people who have lived here for many years, who have jobs and homes, could possibly intend to steal two sprays—especially when I had already purchased goods worth £60? The accusation is absurd, and I am absolutely shocked by the way I was treated. The situation escalated further when my husband tried to explain, yet we were treated with complete disrespect. We were eventually forced to leave the store, and shockingly, one of the security guards physically pushed my husband and insulted me. This was both humiliating and unacceptable. Such treatment of customers is absolutely unprofessional. I strongly believe that your management needs to review staff behavior and provide proper training in customer service and conflict management. No customer should ever be subjected to such treatment. If I do not hear from a manager with a proper apology within one week, I will have no choice but to attach and publish the photos of the employees involved.

Today, I had a very bad experience shopping at Asda I bought a pack of tomatoes and found them completely rotten when I got home. On another visit, I bought an avocado and was shocked to find a worm inside when I cut it open. This is unacceptable for a supermarket of Asda’s size. It shows there’s not enough quality control on fresh produce. As a regular customer, this has really affected my trust in Asda’s fresh food section. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves their quality checks to avoid similar issues for other customers.

I’ve visited Asda Store in Leyton twice and had a good experience overall. Once I went on a Sunday when everything else nearby was closed — thankfully Asda was open. I urgently needed to buy a shirt, and the staff were very helpful and supportive. Really appreciated their assistance in that emergency. Only downside is that the store lacks a good range of tech products. It would be great if they could expand their tech section. Still, a reliable place with helpful staff.

This is a clearly very well managed, efficient store. Like all ‘well oiled machines’, this place is always easy to negotiate: the serviced and self-service tills are well supervised and the staff are helpful and effective. Like all, Asda stores (in my subjective opinion), this store offers very good-no gimmicks- value for money. Recommended for the canny consumer.

Affordable prices and wide variety Shopping at ASDA Superstore is usually a good experience. The store offers a huge range of products, from groceries and fresh food to clothing, household goods, and electronics — all in one place. Prices are very competitive, and their rollback offers and price matches make it one of the more budget-friendly supermarkets. The store layout is generally easy to navigate, and shelves are well-stocked most of the time. Staff are helpful and approachable, and the self-checkout option makes shopping quicker. The George clothing section is also a nice bonus, offering good quality at reasonable prices. On busy days, the store can get quite crowded, and checkout queues may take a bit longer, but overall, ASDA provides great value for money and convenience.

I've been a regular customer at this branch for 20 years as I live in the area. I've seen a lot of changes over the years but one thing that has been a constant is the positive experience of shopping at this ASDA. The staff is always helpful, the store is always fairly clean and tidy and with plenty of room to move around and plenty of tills, even at busy times, it never feels over crowded. The prices are also very competitive but that's for a different review.

Our second time here. First time was for a pop-up dinner event. Super lively atmosphere and decór. Every table taken, with people also happy to wait for a moment for a free spot. Amazing brunch. Fantastic, varied menu; well executed. Very friendly team. We've been kind of sleeping on this, as it is so close. Strong recommendation ♡♡♡

We visited on a Saturday just after noon. The place was very busy. People arriving after us had to wait for a table inside for a while. There were tables outside that were free but it was a chilly day. Food was nice but my dish was a little too spicy for me and I also didn’t like the addition of fried peppers, as there was an after taste of oil. People who served us were very nice and smiled, we definitely felt very welcome. If you don’t like noisy places, perhaps Sat is not the best time to visit this cafe, as it was too loud at the time and dogs were barking at each other.

I came here as part of the Table and Candle initiative and had the opportunity to try the food of chef Marta Sardini whom had an Italian and Chinese menu which was solidly executed. The restaurant is cozy, comfortable and located on a quiet area.

Been here several times now and i love it. The coffee is amazing as well as the food. I’ve tried the halloumi salad, the yogurt with granola and the English breakfast and all have been absolutely beautiful. The staff are all nice too, great tables outside and a cute vibe inside.

We picked this place last minute and so glad we did. Not only was the foot delicious, but the service was quick and attentive and we immediately felt comfortable here. On top of it all the espresso martinis were exceptional! Highly recommended. Unfortunately we ate it so quickly we didn’t have time to take photos. So enjoy a picture of our half drank martinis!

We eating today. Fish is nice,chicken kebab very dry,salad/ not call salad,just cabbage,I have to ask for some onions. Naan was fresh,and Biryani is fine,but meat too soft. I ask for keer they said is from yesterday,I don't take it. They no accept credit cards/only cash.

It is in a very good location E17 and very clean. You can sit inside and eat big. There are also tables outside so you can sit outside and enjoy the weather. Parking is a bit of a problem, you can park the street and there is a pay display. The workers are also very nice and friendly

Food is okay , But so Dirty and Unhygienic, I go sometimes for breakfast , today also went. One lady was hair half tie and one man he was talking with phone with one hand and another hand he making naan. No washing hands!! Like Seriously?? They never wear hair covering cap, It’s food serving and making shop. How in the Uk they do not follow simple hygiene rules ??

I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala which was described as a mild, sweet sauce but it was actually rather oily and definitely not something I would describe as mild or sweet. The Naan was covered in large garlic chunks which gave it the overpowering taste of burnt garlic, this might be to some people's taste but it was not what I was hoping for when I ordered.

Haleem was served with no idea if lemon is part of garnish. 😁😁

Food Hygiene Rating is 1 and it shows. Went for samosas and fries. Samosas are already made which is fine. Just needed to be reheated. Only one table was occupied by a small group. Around 10 minutes after I placed my order, I asked if it's gonna take long for the fries, they said yeah. So I told them to forget the fries. Can't manage 2 orders between 3 staff members. It was late in the day and they weren't working on any takeaway orders. And it's not like the fryer was being used. Terrible customer service. First and last time I go there.

I fancied having pancakes, even though it was closer to lunchtime. I looked up breakfast places that served pancakes, and Green 17 came up. I had never been there before and was unaware of its existence. It was fairly busy, but I decided to go in. There were quite a few dishes I wanted to try, and I chose the pancakes with extra maple syrup. The taste was great, but the only downside was that they were lukewarm instead of hot. It's possible the plate had been waiting before the waiter brought it to the table. The owner was kind and welcoming. I will definitely go back.

Had such a lovely dining experience here! What a beautiful bistro the decor is amazing! The food was top notch the plates are very aesthetically pleasing. I still think about the strawberry bubble tea can’t get one like that anywhere else! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely be returning soon !

I popped in here for a coffee with friends and found it to be a perfect place for people watching. The food was good and was presented really well. The staff were pleasant and the prices really reasonable. I will definitely be going back.

Best brunch ever. I’ll be returning next week for more. I just asked for what I saw in another table as it looked great. Surprised as it was so much better than expected. If you are around THIS is the place for a lovely time with family, friends or by yourself.

£13 for a minuscule bit of scrambled egg, 2 bits of asparagus, 2 bits of overdone halloumi & some fruit????? Food came without half of what it was supposed to. They care way more about how their food is presented, rather than how it tastes. Hash-browns are filth they taste like they’ve reused the oil 20 times over. Waitress is very rude. I won’t be returning. Diabolical!

I’m a local resident who has supported this café since the day it opened, but after my visit on Friday, I won’t be returning. Despite there only being a few customers in the café, it took quite a while before anyone acknowledged us. When a waitress eventually came over, I ordered nuggets and chips for my daughter and asked for the same for myself. She looked at me as if I’d spoken another language, laughed, and told me I couldn’t have it because it’s a kids’ meal. I politely explained that it wasn’t about the cost — it was simply what I fancied to eat — and that nowhere on the menu does it state that the kids’ meal is for children only. I even asked if they could do an adult-sized portion instead. Her response was dismissive and rude — she scoffed and said “no,” without any attempt to be accommodating or courteous. At that point, I told her I’d take my custom elsewhere. For context, the bill would have come to around £25–30 including two meals, drinks, and a likely dessert for my daughter — plus their automatic 10% service charge and an additional tip. So this wasn’t a minor order — I was prepared to spend and support the business as I always have. It’s a shame, as I’ve always made an effort to support independent local businesses, but being treated so disrespectfully left a really sour taste. There are plenty of other cafés that welcome customers with kindness and flexibility — I’ll be taking my business to one of those from now on.

Avoid this store. The older blonde woman at the checkout is extremely rude. Prices on the shelf do not match those in the system. I purchased a product that I believed was listed at a lower price on the shelf. To confirm, I went back to check, and indeed, the price on the shelf was different. When I returned to the cashier, she admitted that the price had not been updated because she forgot to change it. However, when I asked for a refund of the difference, since I had been misled, she flatly refused, saying it wasn’t her problem that the system showed a different price and simply dismissed my request. This is completely unfair and deceptive to customers. My entire family used to shop at this store regularly, but after this experience, none of us will ever return.

Very nice supermarket with a hot food section of Baltic States, Eastern European Countries and even Georgia. Plenty of choices for most of the types of food with reasonable price.

Today I went to the store after work to buy something warm to eat. I don't know this cuisine so I asked what a "kotlet" is . So I asked the older blonde lady,the woman was so rude that I didn't want to talk to her any longer. In the end I didn't buy anything. This is not the first time this woman has been rude. Unfortunately, you have lost a customer.

Always stopping here I buy a my ready to eat meals here on a Friday or a quick pork rib to snack in the car after shopping, Their cake are also better than most of the ready to go cakes in the area.

We tried several cold dish (salad) and Caperinai (2 giant potato dumpling with meat filling), all well seasoned, we love it! We also love the dill salad. Clean and bright interior, friendly service. My friend recommended their cabbage roll, we'll definitely go back again for that :D

OK for the kids...just about. Unfortunately chips were greasy. Portions for the kids were tiny. Don't recommend for adults, just very dry. Should have waited to get home for lunch or just got a simple jacket potatoe. Overall spacious inside, prices are cheap. Kids eat free.

We were visiting Chingford and decided to try the Morrisons café, since my wife really enjoyed the English breakfast at their Milton Keynes branch. The food and service here weren’t quite on par with Milton Keynes, which I’d rate a solid five stars, so I’m giving this one four. Still, it was a pleasant experience overall. By the way, kids foods are free for adult orders over £5 as at June 2025 😊.

I went for the ultimate breakfast and to be honest the mushrooms were not so ultimate they had a funny texture as if they were boiled and tossed about the kitchen wasn't happy with them but overall apart from the driest fried bread in miles it was a pleasant experience which I may consider again if it wasn't on a Friday afternoon full of fish and chip lovers which took up all the ultimate breakfast plates which left me with a rather rectangle plate with beans beans spilling over the edge

Every time we’ve been down to Morrisons Chingford at 4/ 4 15 they say they’re closed. They must just open for breakfast and lunch. It would’ve been nice to have even a cup of tea but they said no not even tea. I’ve had breakfast there and it was ok. Very disapointing!

Very pleasant experience. Friendly place with helpful staff. Had beans on toast with egg and my companions had full breakfasts. Coffee was excellent. Last came here about 6 years ago and much improved since then. Only slight negative it was an unusually hot and humid day and air con wasn't quite reaching window seat.

Nice bright cafe with decent food. The prices are good and good choice available. The till staff though can be the hardest hurdle to pass. Often will make you feel like they are doing you a favour and will get ignored fire a while before served or will look busy with taking your order. Any requests will often get a shaking if the head. This seem to apply to a number of staff at the till so I can only assume this must be a culture that is being accepted at this branch. The online order system is not very good otherwise would rather use that she give this place a 4* or even 5*.

The coffee quality is outstanding, and the presentation is professional. I ordered a cortado, and it was perfect. However, I was asked to wait without explanation, even though I was the only one in the store.

A little coffee joint on the way to overground is a mandatory stop for every coffee lover. They make delicious coffee served with calm vibes and a great space for reading a book, take away cup or a cosy chat with friends or the service. That is about my new favorite place in Walthamstow.

If you want coffee, this is the ultimate coffee shop. Knowledgable and friendly. Look no further.

So good! A fantastic place to go for expertly made coffee. Their outside space is also lovely when it’s nice out.

I live locally and it was my first time to explore this tiny but charming coffee shop. Interesting design, very friendly barista ! His name is Nat ;) I enjoyed my coffee, nice music outside, I def will come back here.

Amazing coffee quality and great music and vibes offered by this small gem. On a sunny dry day, enjoy your hot brew at the tables just outside the shop. One of my favorite places around the area.
