Everytime we order food is missing! It isnt hard to read a ticket and put the correct food in a bag!!! Vegan burger, drink, sweet chilli bites and 2 fries no fries even arrived. I wouldn't mind as much if it was a huge order but there was literally only 4 different items on the order! And now cue the generic apology review reply. I've read through them and this issue has been going on for months. Sort your management and team out!
Great KFC. Consistently very good quality tasty food! Orders are always correct when i've ordered and sat in here at the Leigh branch. Only criticism is that when paying cash, it can take a while for staff to process your order having ready used the machines to order.
The touch screen to order can be complicated, struggle to find what you want if you'd want something other than the meal deals. Chicken is often quite dry, due to being kept warm. Don't set your hopes too high. KFC has gone down hill since the early 2000's
Hate to leave a negative review, but today is really the last time we'll eat from this KFC. Ultra greasy lukewarm.chicken. cold. BBQ chicken bites and cold chips. The grease had absolutely soaked through the bag the food arrived in and you could smell it on arrival.
Someone from head office needs to go in and retrain staff here because, although it's fast food and no one is expecting Michelin star food, the quality is just poor. It's not alot to expect food to be hot. The only reason for the extra star is that the Uber driver was sound. It would've been a 1 star otherwise.
Unfortunately we have received orders so many times with missing items or completely the wrong order in the bag that Uber Eats have started to refuse refunds because of how many times it has happened. Obviously this is not our fault that there are so many repeated mistakes, and it leaves us out of pocket with the wrong order.

Fab little place and one of the only ones open on railway road called in for breakfast and got Nutella waffles and large decaf tea. Fab portion sizes and prices can’t get a large brew for under £2 in most places now but you can here. They’ve got an amazing menu with lots to choose from and good veggie options at an affordable price point. Love the interior feels like a proper diner lovely comfy seating with plenty space and very clean. Staff were lovely and couldn’t do more to help. Would deffo be coming back!

Called in today 22nd nov for a small breakfast and tea. The food was delicious. Nice decorated, clean cafe. I have to point out that the lady behind the counter, who took my order, with the dark hair in a bun and glasses, is an absolute credit to the place.
Didn’t expect to come here but due to my barber not opening up on time I decided to have a breakfast here whilst I waited. The lady who served me was very pleasant and helpful and also had two younger lads helping serve and clean up. Food was lovely, one of the best breakfasts I’ve had and too me back to my childhood. Aesthetically really nice looking place inside and well maintained. Would deffo visit again.
Had a job local so thought I'd pop in here before I started. The mega breakfast was excellent with outstanding Bury black pudding. A friendly chap served me, great service. Next time in Leigh I'll return.
Unfortunately, this is one of the worst experiences I've had. The bacon and egg were both overcooked, The sausage was tasteless and the fried bread greasy. In addition to that, it took 1.5 hours to deliver one breakfast and it was luke warm. Not great!
Food is bland and very basic (burger and jacket potato). Food is not served together causing members of a group or couple to eat alone. Hash brown bites are good though.

I like to think I'm a chip connoisseur. Every place I visit, no pun , I try the local chip shop for lunch and have been doing so for the last 25 years . I get charged with doing the chip run at lunch for the office if people decide to fall off the diet bandwagon .. back to the review .
Been driving past this place for 20 years almost and never visited. Always smelled nice and looked inviting when filling up at the petrol station opposite but never ever tried until today.
My local to where I work has shut down . So a work colleague and I decided to give it a bash . Usual chip shop fayre on sale but I had seen a social media video re the SUPERBARM and boy o boy was it a thing of beauty.
Steady stream of customers , efficient service , good start .

Got back to the office and I shouldn't have but I did - wolfed the whole thing down and surprise surprise no work out of me in thr afternoon as I sank into a warm welcoming food coma.
The SUPERBARM , has to be capitals as it needs to be shouted out, consists of a barm filled with chips , mushy peas and a decent portion of battered fish . It is deceptive as when you open the tray it looks at you with a puppy look ....but then the wrestle began . Each morsel was just simply delicious and slowly but surely as I began to devour I realised that the puppy look was deceptive and the SUPERBARM had become a wolf . I fought and fought and eventually managed to finish the whole lot ....BURP. I felt like I had swallowed a football. Work colleague did the same . She finished early for the day and so did I and we live happily ever after.
One piece of advice , you can get away with two people sharing one of these as it is seriously filling .
So in a nutshell , great food . Is it a bird is it a plane no its SUPERBARM.

Usually good food, last order was awful, today's order is exactly the same. Chips are mouldy and there's that many of them you don't have much left to actually eat. The photo is only a small portion of the mouldy chips. The chips where all soggy too, usually nice and crispy but the last 2 orders have been awful. Not sure if Martin has sold up and someone else is serving this rubbish, or if Martin wasn't there on both occasions and staff are letting this go out the door. Really hope I don't get a repeat else I'm going to need to go else where 😞
Went here last week and for a family of 4 - fish chips curry, pudding chips gravey, kids sausage and chips with gravy, and a sausage dinner. 2 smacks/ specials, it came to £33 almost and had to also purchase an extra sauce as I asked for fish chips and curry and they put the sauce separately as they’d put the fish in a box. I said I asked for it together and was told I should have specified that even though I didn’t ask for a tub of sauce. Never been told to specify that i don’t want a tub of sauce in a Leigh chippy in my life. Anyway the tubs they give and charge a small fortune for covered about 8 chips so good job I purchased another. Also I thought why did they put sauces on the other meals I ordered without me specifically asking for it on the meals and not in tubs??
The chips were scantly scattered around the box too. My daughter had more chips in her kids sausage and chips. The food was ok, not great and not bad. Fish aren’t anything to shout about, I’ve caught bigger at the silcocks fair but they all seem be doing this - prices up portions down. I’ll go elsewhere in future as paying extra for sauce that I wanted on the dinner in the first place then being told I should have specified that I wanted it on the fish and chips was poor customer service. Place seemed busy so maybe an off day or maybe they don’t care as they are a busy chippy. Who knows.
Ordered online today but they was having some issues with internet, they offered me a free drink for waiting extra time which I thought was such good customer service I barely waited longer than 5 mins and it got so busy whilst I was there. Every member of staff was incredibly lovely and couldn’t do enough for me.
Thank you girls for just being you! Good customer service goes a long way.
As our two previous chip shops have now closed down, we thought it was time to find a new one.
After looking on Google, we opted for Pennington Plaice.
The first thing to say is that the service was very friendly.
We ordered two fish with a large portion of chips and a traditional chippy curry and a curry with a little spice in it.
The bill came to £16.75.
The portion size was excellent and well worth the price.
Taste wise, both the fish and chips were delicious.
I preferred the curry with a little spice, while my partner preferred the traditional chippy curry.
I normally post photos in my reviews. However, the food looked so good that we just tucked in as soon as it hit the plates.
The only issue can be finding a place to park. We were lucky as it was quiet when we arrived. As I left, customers were queueing outside the entrance with lots of cars parked in the side street. Don't let this put you off.
It looks like we have found our new go-to chippy.
when asking for fish and chips it means giving a decent sized one considering you pay full price. absolutely tiny

Food was hot and up to standard. However we were waiting in the drive thru for a longer than usual period of time and weren’t spoken to once by the person handing food over (wearing a white shirt so managerial). Also got home to find that the large cappuccino I’d paid extra for, as it was an upgrade in my meal, was half full. Not what you expect when you’re paying money for food and a service.
I ordered 15 mins ago from drive through. I’m literally the only car here, there’s no one in front of me or in the restaurant. I’m still waiting. Everything is beeping. Genuinely worried the staff might be asleep. Look at the state of the place.
Large fries ? I don't eat at McDonald's often but is it normal for the fries to only be less than half way up the container ? Also the fillet of fish looked like it was placed on the bun by throwing it across a room with it stuck like that due to the cheese and most of the sauce inside the cardboard box... Can't really say I'm lovin it
Stopped here at 2AM after a late night flight. We only made a small order - less than £10. Queued for 20 minutes whilst an order in front was being served. They missed a portion of fries so we had to go back around the drive through and wait another 10 minutes to get these.
When we got home - just a few minutes away, we realised a sauce was missing, the cheeseburger didn't have any pickles and the fries were stone cold.

I’ve unfortunately ordered from here a few times.
Once they told me to cancel the order as they gave it to the wrong driver and refused to remake it (this still charged me for the order and uber wouldn’t refund it) so I got charged £40 with no food to show for it.
The last time I ordered (about 20 minutes ago) they missed half of the order, no sides, didn’t send anything for one of the meals, no sauces, not even straws for the drinks!
I have no idea who they employ at this restaurant but they can’t even read by the looks of it because how do you miss off 50% of the order and a whole order on another occasion.
I have worked in a McDonald’s before and it was night and day compared to this establishment.
I attended McDonald’s Leigh tonight as I was in the mood for a crispy Coke! There was no ice in my drink! It wasn’t crispy! It was luke warm! This is the third time now where they’ve not put ice in my drink. Need to fix the ice machine and sort it out.
Took forever to get food inside (20mins for a quarter pounder meal and coffee) because of the drive thru and delivery drivers. Think the chips were cooked a couple of times to reheat them.

I would 100% recommend this place, the food is fantastic and staff are friendly. I ordered a peri peri chicken, the amount of flavour was just phenomenal. The king khan kebab is delicious as well and plus it’s huge, definitely worth it! The onion rings were crispy and not soggy at all, they had the perfect taste to them same with the cheesy fries, the fries were very cheesy not like those other restaurant cheesy fries with barely any cheese. Pizza was also good. Plus I didn’t have to wait a long time for my food.

Food is so so... probably about 4/10.
Ordered online and went to collect. Went in to check they had out order. Owner barked "we have only been open 5 mins it take longer to cook your food" and not very welcoming. Donner meat very tasty. Salad was brown and on the turn. Chicken kebab and burgers very dry. Pizzas were okay. Probably won't be back and given another place a try..nothing special

Only giving one star because I can't give any less, waiting over an hour for our order, called them and they said they were making it, another hour later, no order and tried to call again and they have taken their phones off the hook so you can't call, no way of cancelling either because you have to call the restaurant to cancel which I cant do!!! It's a shame really because the first two times I ordered it was really quick and really good. So definitely won't be ordering again.
Been ordering from sillzers since 2015 till today the way they keep consistency of their place from last couple months is embarrassing donner was dry, shawarma felt like was undercooked, lack of sauce and salad wasn't fresh at all unbelievable how this place could change into something like this... Sad never gonna order again.
Waited 2 hrs 30 mins for a kebab and pizza that was freezing cold and I was told its weekend . I rang up the shop to complain and I.brought it bck for a refund. On going bck to shop he tried to say it was cold because I went from my house to shop . After arguing with them for 10 mins I got a refund and I would not leave till I got confirmation. The service here is horrendous. The attitude stinks and they have achieved the ranking of being the worst takeaway in leigh . I would not feed my dog from this dumb .

I had a very disappointing experience at McDonald’s, Bradshawgate, Leigh. I visited on 02/09/2025 at around 8:15pm with my family. The restaurant’s closing time is 9:30pm, yet almost all of the seating areas were blocked off with chairs. I sat at one of the only available seats, but a cleaning staff member told me to move because she wanted to mop that section, and instead told me to sit in the children’s seating area.
As someone with severe back pain and diabetes, I explained that I could not sit on the small, high round seats in the children’s area. Despite this, she insisted I move, in a very rude and unhelpful manner. I even went to the counter to explain my situation, and another staff member said I could sit where I was originally. However, the cleaning staff still refused and insisted on mopping instead of accommodating me.
This left me with no choice but to cancel my order. My refund receipt clearly shows the time as 8:33pm, proving that this happened an hour before closing. I regularly choose McDonald’s and have never faced such poor customer service at any other branch. The lack of understanding, especially after I explained my health condition, and the rude behaviour of the cleaning employee was unacceptable.
This experience has left me with a very bad impression, and I would not recommend this branch to anyone.

Be great if they could get a simple order correct (it’s not that hard) and the fact you can’t rectify an order because you don’t use your own delivery drivers is shocking service. Just don’t bother ordering I think every order we have made has been wrong. They should really take a look at who they’re hiring if they can’t get something as simple as a burger right.
Stingy portions, and a number of times our order has been wrong when we got our food. The McDonald's on parsonage retail or even the one in Asda are much better.
The restraunt was filthy and looked like it hadn’t had a proper clean in months with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Service was also slow and the chips were stone cold, greasy and tasted like old oil and cardboard

While waiting for my order I went to go to the toilet as a very heavily pregnant woman to find them all closed. When asked to have them opened they told me to use the disabled which I had no issues with. But then told after finding that locked to be told that it is tough. The manager was rude. Such slow service for 'fast food' waited over 15 minutes for food. The self service machine NEVER have the table service number and NEVER print out receipts. They serve the uber eats and Just eat delivery drivers first.

Only recently started to come here and it's absolutely delicious jacket potato's are amazing my fella loves the minted lamb and also ladies are so welcoming definitely the best in leigh 😁

Chicken cheese and bhaji jacket potato..how can you get this so wrong? The worst delivery I think I've ever received in my life. Went straight in the bin.
The food is great. OK customer service is OK. It's clean. The only bad thing is they switch the grills off early and can't order any hot food.
Horrible rude staff. Made a complaint about a sandwich and get barred. Young kids working in there. I doubt they have a food hygiene certificate.
I ordered online. I order a hot sandwich it didn't come hot and the cheese was not melted. I also expected the wrap to be made hot and it was not.. other than these mistakes if rectified I would definitely order again the food is well made and well sized a little over priced but if made properly; it would be outstanding food.

Had the worst ever pepper steak pie of my life, couldn't even finish the stale, cold and awefully tasting thing. I was told it was warm in the first instance only to open it and met a cold pie with a bad taste.
Service was horrible. I needed my wrap toasted. It was simple like I would in Subway. If they didn't have a toaster, they could have simply and politely told me but they looked at me like I made the worst request. She grudgingly took it and went to the grill and used her bare hand to pick my wrap onto the grill machine. Horrible sense of food hygiene. I wouldn't even eat my own wrap without washing my hand. Ended up still a cold badly handled wrap.
First time here and will definitely not return. Horrible.
Firstly, they got my order wrong and continued to argue with me that I said brown sauce instead of red. I'm also vegetarian and ended up with a big piece of crusty bacon on my sandwich. Never going back. Disgusting. No regard for cross contamination at all. As for staff.... they are just so rude! I go here often for a jacket potato for my lunch. Today I thought I'd get breakfast. I will stop going here and go to the farmhouse round the corner instead where they have a sense of food hygiene and food cross contamination laws.

Wigan Road Chippy is a delightful gem for anyone craving delicious fish and chips. Diners rave about the mega fish dinner, which boasts an impressively large portion of fish that’s not only enormous but also incredibly tasty. The batter is light and crispy, practically melting in your mouth with every bite. Many patrons suggest opting for the regular size next time, as the mega portion could easily satisfy a family!
One of the best chippy’s I’ve had food from. Such good value, piping hot and freshly made. Staff super friendly and efficient. Will return for sure when in the area again.

Used to enjoy coming to this chippy, but the staff seem to be morbid and make you feel like an inconvenience when ordering. Also hygiene needs to be looked into. Female with black hair was messing with fishing rods and hooks for her I believe son and friends, came back in and immediately started handling food without washing her hands.
Great service, cheap prices, tasty fish and chips, served quickly, good local atmosphere. Love the chips and fish from here. ❤️

Awful food, frozen chips and king prawn batter balls that were tiny cold and soggy. The sweet and sour sauce was just some store bought water mix, the crispy chill beef was cold watery and soggy. Avoid really nasty rubbish
Absolutely vile bland food, I just spent £43 on food, my five year old usually loves Chinese especially egg fried rice and curry sauce, she tasted the egg fried rice and said it was horrible, I tried it and agreed. My son said the chicken spring rolls had no taste whatsoever, the frozen chips was supposed to be salt and pepper, nothing in the dishes had any taste whatsoever 😐 chips tasted like they was warm ups from hours before, we was all starving and could not eat! Avoid at all costs
This is the WORST takeaway I have ever had in my life!! I usually ignore bad reviews for chinese takeaways because every takeaway has bad reviews but please don’t ignore this!
Everything in these photos cost £37!! The portions are tiny, the salt & pepper chicken had about 6 pieces and it was just a breaded fillet cut into slices. The salt & pepper chips were a large and I received a smaller portion than other chinese takeaways smalls. And don’t get me started on the honey garlic chicken, it was DISGUSTING, and why does it look anaemic?
I have had so many chinese takeaways in my life and I have always been left so full, however this takeaway had such small portions I was left hungry. And I spent double the amount I would at other takeaways. I am so disgusted that a takeaway could charge such high prices for this, I feel like I have been robbed.
5 star overall as I have eaten from this place multiple times and the food was delivered quickly and it was hot as I have expected. The staff is very nice and helpful. I love the salt&pepper chicken the best one I had.
The ONLY Chinese takeaway in Leigh that does not upset my stomach 👌amazing every time and they alway read the order notes definitely my favourite place for food
Delivered within the time stated, great communication, as I left notes to cook my food well done and to chop the meat smaller in the chow mein as I find it locks in more flavour, which it was delish and the salt and pepper chicken was tasty, and the Banana fritters were the icing on the cake. And thank you for the fortune cookie when i asked for one, always the finishing touches that tops it off as well as free crackers 10 out of 10 for me. Would recommend
