The pane cunzato was nice, but nothing too mind blowing. The granita (almond and ricotta) were okay. The service was disappointing. It seemed like they didnt really care, no smile, nothing. Atmosphere was hectic during lunch time.

Great place for a granita (or pane if you’re ravenous) while enjoying the Mediterranean views. Delicious dessert, a pity I didn’t eat more of it.

You must make a stop here for Granita and pane cunzato; while the rest of the food is good, these two are absolutely amazing. The portions of pane cunzato are generously sized, and even half of one is sufficient if you're not extremely hungry. Prices are reasonable, even affordable compared to other parts of the island. We loved this place so much we came back three times! The dinner was excellent—pasta cooked to perfection—and the granitas were probably the best we had in all of Sicily. Warm atmosphere, great food, and unforgettable flavors. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

Excellent Granita Ricotta e Capperi, not sure you can find it somewhere else. Nice service and great atmosphere, not that expensive too considering the location. It deserves a honest 5 stars.

Unfortunately/Fortunately we had the Granita here... which was so amazing, that every other Granita we had from this point has been a mega disappointment. Almond flavour will not disappoint! Side note: staff super slow young bunch who didn't seem to care that people were waiting... they all stood around on their phones.

Very pleasant people, we enjoyed the food which was delicious. We had Aeolian pasta and swordfish. Potion size is quite decent, it's definitely worth the visit , the atmosphere is lovely. You can enjoy a day on the beach and the view towards Lipari while eating.

Good takeaway pizza for 4 Euros, what's not too like! They spin the pizza there and then and cook it fresh. I had the Lipari (tuna and onion as well as tomato and mozzarella) - generous toppings and a thin but not crunchy base. I've paid 3 times as much for pizza on the Aeolian Islands and it wasn't as good. Recommended for a cheap night in.

Great locality, very courteous and friendly staff. Great local food, especially the seafood. Pizzas were huge as well, can get take away food too. Best octopus salad I've ever had as well as the eggplant parmigiana.

Amazing pizza with pistachio pesto. The combination of flavors was absolutely delicious, with the rich, nutty pesto perfectly complementing the fresh ingredients. The crust was crisp and well-baked, making every bite a delight.

Da Giovanni offers lactose free mozzarella and gluten free pasta and pizza! What a treat. And both really tasty (the Mrs is gluten free and I tried the lactose free mozzarella). Safe to say we went twice in one day. Staff are super friendly also, including the kitchen staff and pizza oven chef. Easy 5 stars and highly recommend this place.

Be careful, prices on the menu don't include service fee at this place. At the very end of the menu, where NOBODY would read it, they say it's 2 Euro service fee per person. So instead of 22€ we paid 26€ for 2 pizzas. We've been traveling Italy for 2 weeks now and been to several restaurants. Literally none of them had a service fee hidden in the menu. If i noticed it earlier, i would not have given a tip on top. Addition: I have just read that Italian law does not allow to put service fees at a place where they are not likely to be read. Customers have to be informed upfront. They must be placed so that customers are likely to read them before they order. So this practice is actually illegal. Edit: They have an English menu in which all dishes are described in English. Now guess what the only part is that was not translated. In the English menu, you don't have service fee, you have "Coperto 2€". Also it doesn't mention at all that it is per person and not per table. This absolutely can't be legal. Edit 2: After reading other reviews saying that people feel like they were overcharged or they just don't know what made their bill so expensive in the end, it's very obvious most people don't find the service fee on the menu as it is also not mentioned on the handwritten(!) receit. We will file a complaint with local authorities and Italian consumer associations.

I return here after 5 years. First time i was in shock! There was amazing delicious ang good service. Last time unfortunately we were waiting for pizza 45 minutes when there wasnt any customers inside. So meals was delicious still but due to the fact of waiting and service, waiting for pizza im a little bit of confused.

They add hidden coperto (its not ok to add some charging for table at all, but not telling customer at any time, just give whole sum at end together and made them thinkimg, where come from this ammount of money.. bunch of thieves) - this is killer for any vibe. Pizza was ok, but maybe just take away. Fish main dish was some poor salad with tomato, and 3 fish pieces... (25euro) People in italy thing they can steal from tourist bc they dont go back. This will backfire someday

Probably the best gluten-free pizza in my life so far. I had the Speck e Zola (pomodoro, mozzarella, speck, gorgonzola). The pizza was cooked in an aluminum foil pan which was served on the platter. The crust stuck a little to the aluminum pan but it didn't matter. It was a thin crust. The staff and service were excellent. I'm not sure what else is celiac friendly. Frankly I'm not sure I would try anything else. Add a little olive oil with spicy pepper and enjoy.

Everywhere I go in Italy I look for my pasta ala Norma. This was the best by far. The sauce was not too sweet & not acidic. Prepared perfectly. Served with a smile. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. Just lovely.

Incredible experience. Arrived in the morning and found cashier speaking only Sinhala and pretending not speaking nor understanding Italian even asked several times. Bought two shots of cold Malvasia but again could pay only cash because cashier did not know how to use the bank card reader so we had to wait for the owner. Soon some locals dropped in telling their stories about life in Lipari and playing local lottery chicken machine that made us laugh. Suddenly some pirate looking man appeared from the backstage of the bar and sat in the chair in outside silent. He was sitting all the time in silence. Some other strange locals arrived standing on the motorcycle and speaking with them selves stared at us and without word to say to us just drove further. In some 20 minutes owner arrived with the bottle of Malvasia for 30 eur. We recommend this place for the experience and adventures that awaits you here.

Pizza is solid enough .....but ordered a lasagne , told a while later none available and a microwave meal was brought as a replacement . 6 people and only 4 meals arrived ( 1 was cold ) . 2 pizzas didn't arrive and not sure why .....like we would only order four meals for 6 people . Benefit of doubt may be 'start of season'...but if you're open and I'm hungry then step up and deliver .

My wife and I enjoyed two nicely prepared pizzas, with lots of local flavours. Prompt service, and reasonably priced wine. Simple, unpretentious place with nice views over the seafront and harbour. Recommended.

After two sumptuous dinners, we were looking for a simpler down to Earth place and found it right here. Compared to the more touristic options, this is not haute cuisine or a special night out, but a simple option with honests pizzas frequented by locals. The salad was huge, the wine affordable, but I wouldn't recommend the sea food risotto. Come with the right expectatiosn and you won't be a disappointed. :)

Best turist trap ever.... i mean worst turist trap ever.... i mean both. We ordered arancini and they came ice cold on the inside ( like rock solid ) because they were deep fried for 30 seconds. After we signaled the problem we we're told to wait and we will get another round. Surprise surprise we got other stuff instead. Wrong order. Anyway the pizza is kinda ok for italian standards ( from my past experiences ). So if you are from US of A, go for it, it will bea a treat. But if you are european just try something else or donno, risk paying 25€ for kind of a meal. Overall not visiting second time im my 7 days trip to Lipari.
