Restaurant
Shabu-shabu restaurant
Ufuya is a charming spot nestled in the forest, offering a unique dining experience with its wood-clad dining room and al fresco seating that provides stunning views of waterfalls. The ambiance is enhanced by lush vegetation, small manmade waterfalls, and Koi fish ponds. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a serene walk down a hill lined with wooden gates leading to the cafe for check-in.
Little bit pricy, but worth it. We had to pick a number and wait for it few minutes. You can get ice-cream in the cafe next door while you're waiting. The restaurant has a unique atmosphere. Some tourists unfortunately are really loud and noisy. The order process is easy and convenient for foreign guests. The food was delicious and the staff was really nice.

I visited Ufuyā (百年古家 大家) and had a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant is located in the mountains, surrounded by a peaceful environment, with a beautifully designed garden. The traditional Okinawan atmosphere is immediately noticeable, both indoors and in the outdoor courtyard, making it a great spot for photos or simply relaxing. The food was quite good, especially dishes made with local ingredients. The flavors were fresh and portions reasonable, allowing you to enjoy both the cuisine and the cultural ambiance. The staff were friendly, making the overall dining experience very pleasant. Overall, Ufuyā is a restaurant that combines beautiful scenery with tasty food, perfect for travelers looking to relax in a mountain setting while enjoying a scenic garden.

Absolutely loved the pork here! Both the pork rice and noodles were super tasty — full of flavor and cooked perfectly. We had to wait around 15–20 minutes when we arrived, but it was totally worth it. The place was buzzing with people, which is always a good sign! The staff were really friendly and attentive. I think they noticed I had a baby with me, so they kindly arranged a private room for us — such a thoughtful gesture! Prices were very reasonable too. So happy we found this spot in Okinawa. I’ll definitely be back next time for their hot pot pork dinner!
Anna L — Google review
The area was very Japanese, everything is very traditional and culturally nice. However, the food is nothing like “wow”. We cannot try their beef cause it sold out too fast online, and cannot order on the spot. Overall experience is okay!
Gladys K — Google review
We had some trouble making the reservation, but eventually manage to get one before we leave Okinawa. I am more impressed by the view, traditional buildings and garden than the food. The agu pork shabu shabu is decent and the noodles are really nice. We booked in for 19:30, but didn’t get started until 20:00. We were told last order at 20:15 and then we were rushing to finish the food before 21:00.
Amy W — Google review
I didn’t expect this kind of scale from a soba restaurant but wow! This place can be one of the tourist attractions itself. From the parking, you will have to walk 5-10mins to the restaurant but it was enjoyable. You then need to get the ticket from the reception machine and wait. There is an expected waiting time but we ended up getting in faster than that. The restaurant buildings are the historical buildings and they were impressive. Very nice garden and landscapes. You order food by QR code. The food came out pretty quick but I wish for some more variations or a la carte options. (The big bowl of soba and a bowl of rice were a little too much.)
Sivaporn S — Google review
Definitely the best restaurant I’ve been to in Okinawa. We went there for a dinner at 5:30 pm, no reservation, and actually the staff was so helpful that we waited around 20min for a table instead of 1hour. I would definitely recommend to do a booking ahead of time. It’s really amazing atmosphere, beautiful garden, surrounded by traditional Okinawa houses kominkas and you can hear traditional music. Food was excellent, we took 1st choice premium selection of shabu shabu pork, and it was really tasty. It was way too much food for 2people so better come with empty stomach ;) Really, high quality waiters, beautiful atmosphere and local premium food.
Wer M — Google review
This is our 4th visit to this restaurant, and the food remains exceptionally good. We made our dinner reservation on their website, which required us to pre-order the menu. We ordered two sets of beef shabu-shabu and three sets of GOKUJYO Agu's shabu-shabu. Each set included assorted appetizers, Agu dumplings, assorted vegetables, and noodles. The set dinner offers great value for money. Additionally, an à la carte menu is available on the spot if you are not full. The restaurant is located in a remote area, requiring a drive to reach it. Since our last visit, the restaurant has been renovated, featuring a larger parking lot and clearer driving directions. The parking lot is located at the hilltop, and it took us around 10 minutes to walk down to the reception area. The nighttime view is fantastic, with water features, lighting, and installations that you can enjoy while walking to and from the parking lot. For the best experience, I recommend booking the semi-outdoor seats to enjoy the views and fresh air. We dined in the indoor dining room, where the air circulation wasn't sufficient for shabu-shabu, even with the windows open.

Noodle shop
Soba noodle shop
Miyazato Soba is a no-frills restaurant in Okinawa that offers excellent Okinawa-style soba in broth. The menu features about 8 items, with prices ranging from 150 yen to 700 yen. The space is large and offers ample free parking. The establishment provides a unique soba experience compared to the mainland Kanto region of Japan.
I have to give justice to this underrated Soba run by “Ah Ma”. I have ate a few Okinawa Soba in Nago and I have to say this is still the best one. It may look a little ordinary, but the soup is very flavourful and the meat is well marinated. If you are looking for Okinawa Soba, this is definitely worth coming.
DS G — Google review
Really good food Good price The vending machine was difficult for me to use. The lady there was very kind and helped me with the machine in my meal. Will come back here again. I would say the establishment is foreigner, friendly
Michael E — Google review
Ordering was via the vending machine, and though there’s an option for English, the menu items weren’t translated, so we had to rely on Google Lens for translation. The restaurant offers a choice of pork belly or pork rib with the soba noodles. We decided to try both, and both were great! Here’s what we ordered: - 三枚肉そば ¥800 - そば(小) ¥500 - ソーキそば ¥800 - + トッピング三枚肉2枚 ¥160 For the soba noodles, we had the choice of either pork belly or pork rib, and we decided to try both. The pork rib was a pleasant surprise — it was incredibly tender, unlike the tougher pork ribs in bak kut teh that we get back home. It was a great choice, and we were so glad we went with it. The pork belly, on the other hand, lived up to the high standard expected in this area and was absolutely delicious as usual. The soba noodles were good, and though the portion of meat was a bit smaller (likely due to the low prices), it didn’t detract from the overall experience. The soup was a bit on the salty side for me, but both of my travel mates found it perfectly acceptable. One even commented on the sweetness of the soup, which shows how subjective taste can be.
Joey K — Google review
I did not realise Okinawa soba tastes less like buckwheat soba and more like Chinese egg noodles. The clear broth was the star of the show more than the noodles or the char siew-like 3 layered meat. There ain't a lot of choices too on the menu. +ve: It accepts credit cards, including foreign ones like Visa & Mastercard. -ve: The pork feels tough. If this is what Okinawa noodles taste like, I'll give it a miss.
Clara W — Google review
Traditional Okinawan Soba may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you like it, this place serves high quality Al Dante Soba with subtlely flavoured soup that tastes like homemade meals. This place is full of locals and the food is priced very reasonably. This will be a place I would like to come back to if I have a chance.
Roy H — Google review
Very good Okinawa soba. Soup is rich and flavorful. Noodle has the right texture. Can choose either pork ribs or pork belly. Curry rice also available, but recommend the noodle.
Visan ( — Google review
Hearty broth and noodles with soft tender pork. No English menu but first two items on the menu are clearly the most popular. Order from the machine and hand the slips to the staff. Always a good sign when it’s jammed packed with locals
Kevin L — Google review
Popular Okinawan Noodle. Pork rib is so tasty. The menu says, Upper: So-ki soba(pork rib noodle), Sanmai soba(pork noodle), Kombu Soba(Seaweed noodle), Soba shou(small pork noodle) Lower: Curry rice, Spaghetti with toast, Rice, Toast

Japanese regional restaurant
Kishimoto Shokudo is a historic diner that has been serving delicious Okinawan soba for over a century. The handmade noodles are prepared in the traditional way, using wood ashes from firewood, and the flavorful broth is made from soki (pork ribs) and bonito. Visitors highly recommend trying the large bowl of Okinawa soba for its generous portion of pork bellies.
Good soba served fast. Health serving of meat. Nice roomy seating options with tables unlike most small Japanese restaurants. Get there before noon to beat the lunch crowd rush
Ssss — Google review
Unbelievably good. If you like Southern Barbecue then you’ll love this. Okinawan Soba combines the flavors of smoked pork with delicious chewy noodles and broth!
Jacob B — Google review
They only serve Okinawa soba, but honestly, they don’t need to make anything else — they’ve perfected it. The broth is deep and full of flavor, and the noodles have an amazing texture. Such a great spot! 🍜
Tommy N — Google review
This diner has been in business for over 100 years, yet offers casual, affordable, and delicious Okinawan soba. The soba is, of course, handmade, but noodles are made in the traditional way, using wood ashes from the firewood. The broth is made from soki (pork ribs) and bonito for a robust flavor that you will want to drink to the last drop! If you are staying in northern Okinawa, we highly recommend stopping by this diner. You must pay in cash in advance, purchase your meal ticket first, and present it to the restaurant.
(Pirorin) — Google review
Order was taken at the front by a ticket dispenser, and it was quite simple. Very few options, and holy was it good! We all had the soba, which came with 2 different cuts of pork. Both were amazing! Noodles were delicious with great texture, and the broth was very flavourful. They also had mat seating in a section, which was different and a cool experience
Tristan C — Google review
A traditional noodle shop, it’s cool to tourist. Noodle is fine, and many local will have food here.
K F — Google review
Food was very average, definitely aimed at tourists. We decided to try it our as we were in the neighborhood and we saw the rating. If you want a simple noodles with a. "Soso" taste then this is your spot! Pay at the door with a machine and sit down, wait wasn't too long even being rather packed inside (about a 15-20) minute wait. Reviews below are from staff at the shop 😆 🤣 This is an actual review 😀 Whoever put the best Soba in Okinawa needs their taste buds checked ✔️
Logan J — Google review
Okinawan soba is good here! Recommended! Get the large bowl as there’s more pork bellies.

Restaurant
Yanbaru Soba is a popular neighborhood find with a long line of locals during lunchtime. The restaurant offers both tatami and chair seating, and customers place their orders during the wait. The soba is highly praised, especially when paired with the local chili water condiment. Despite the limited menu options, the quality of the food, particularly the soup, makes it worth the wait.
Delicious Okinawa soba in a traditional interior. The noodles had a nice bounce to them, and the meat had a deep flavour.
Katherine T — Google review
Ordered soki soba and the broth and noodles were delicious. Meat was not as tender as you would usually expect for soki soba, but still tasted great!
Naomi Y — Google review
You would probably know it was here if you drove past at lunchtime due to the long line of locals but otherwise, a great neighbourhood find. We visited at around 11.30 and waited on seats outside the restaurant in the usual organised Japanese way for about 30 min for a table. There are tables on tatami as well as with chairs (the high chair for tatami are practical and cute - because Japan!). When you get inside the restaurant, you place your order during the final wait. There are 2 options: soba with (roasted) pork rib or (braised & toasted) pork belly (& fish cake) in small or large size. The kids soba is a small portion with a leaner piece of boneless pork and fishcake. Both were delicious and the broth was as well. Hot and cold tea is self served. The tv in the dining room is very reminiscent of eating in an Asian family home. Definitely worth the wait and would visit again if in the area.
Irene Y — Google review
Soki Soba and Samainiku Soba. 2 sizes each. Actually the soba is decent. Would not say it’s fantastic. However, it is worth a try. Most of the customers were locals/japanese themselves.
Ryan — Google review
We had grilled pork soba. Even though, the pork is not tender but tasty. 👍
Be L — Google review
Really good soba! I wouldn’t know how “authentic” it is cus this is the only okinawa soba i ever had haha but it’s really good and worth waiting (there was a short line when we went). Do add in that chilli water thing on the table (it’s not oil nor is it like sauce. It’s this watery thing that i saw selling at the souvenir stores as a local... thing haha), it’s not spicy so you can defo try even if your tolerance is low.
Lim F — Google review
Simple restaurant with limited options but the food listed are very good especially the soup which you can taste has been boiled for a long time to achieve such taste. Quite a queue when we went on a weekday, waited for about 30mins but it's well worth the wait.

Nice place to have pork soba.. The exterior is contrast with the taste of yummy soba.. Only 3 menus are served here with 2 size. 1. Marinated pork belly soba 2. Marinated pork ribs soba 3. Kids soba

Yakiniku restaurant
Izakaya restaurant
Manmi Yakiniku is a top-notch yakiniku restaurant that offers excellent service and a friendly staff. The professional team introduces each cut of meat with great expertise. It's advisable to make reservations in advance as they strictly adhere to timing. The restaurant uses local aguu pork, which has a unique and delicious flavor. While it may be on the pricey end, the quality of the meat makes it worth it. The pork shabu and pork belly yakiniku are highly recommended dishes.
It is a shop where you can enjoy Yanbaru Island pork and Okinawan local cuisine. There are many signs in the store, and it is a popular shop where many celebrities visit. It seems that all of them use only Yanbaru's ingredients, so no matter what you eat, you will feel that you are particular about each dish that is delicious. I came to the store after 20:00 on weekdays, but it was full. It's a very popular shop, so I recommend you to make a reservation in advance. If you go to Okinawa, I think you should definitely go to the store.

We travel to eat and Manmi Yakiniku truly is a special a place—making our trip to Okinawa extra special. The food, staff and chef were spectacular. As world travelers and foodies, we enjoy finding unique food experiences such as this place. Thank you for the love and care you put into our dinner. Lee & Bill
Lee L — Google review
The pork and ホルモンyakiniku was fantastic. The roasted pork feet was unique and the ホルモンfried rice is nothing comparable to any restaurants outside. The fried rice infused with the essence of ホルモン, had a perfect balance of chewiness and flavor, with each grain absorbing the rich, slightly fatty notes from the offal. Coming all the way from Australia, we are lucky to have the boss who was very nice teaching us Okinawan dialect. :)
Katie — Google review
The best pork yakiniku! They use local aguu pork which tastes very different than any other pork iv had, let alone Japanese black pork. Best to make reservations ahead as they were really strict with they timing, we arrived early and were told to come back exactly at the time we booked. We had both the yakiniku and pork shabu, everything we ordered was really amazing! Best dishes for me would be the pork shabu, and the pork belly yakiniku. Service was fast but they seemed to be really busy so not super attentive.
Colin K — Google review
A5 was great, pricy but not to bad for what yoy get. Small parking lot with kind service, and al the pork served was top notch. Definently would recommend to come at least once while on island.
Samuel R — Google review
Good meat and ambience but on the pricey end. Unfortunately the waiters are not able to converse in any English, some finger pointing on the menu did the trick.
Erik O — Google review
OMG!! It's delicious!! The whole pig is used here in this restaurant, cooked either via BBQ (yakinuki), Shabu Shabu. The combination set allows you to try all 12 cuts of the pig, including innards. What I really liked about the place was that besides the wonderful food, the servers were all ultra professional when it comes to knowing (and teaching) you what you are eating, and rescuing your bbq pieces if they think that you aren't cooking the pieces to bbq perfection. The setting is also homely and feels like you are in your stylish friend's stylish family home. I liked that the bbq is a charcoal based bbq, it does bring out the best in flavors for a bbq. Highly recommend this place, but do book ahead if you can, as it's really busy here.

Pain de Kaito is a local bakery in Nago city that prides itself on using locally sourced fruits and vegetables in their creations. The bakery offers a variety of delicious freshly baked bread and pastries, including curry buns, fig with cream cheese, and blue cheese with honey fillings. The selection also includes almond croissants, pizza, and daily bread options like ladyfinger and almond. Customers can enjoy their treats at the small outdoor seating area while watching people pass by.
Very lovely bakery with a wide selection of sweet and sour treats and different types of bread. Highly recommend

Best bakery we have eaten so far, the pastries were so good I can tell they used good quality butter. The smell of fragrant butter on every bite of their Danish pastry is just so delightful! Wish I can visit again to try the other varieties they offer:)

Oh boy. You need to stop here. They have every baked good under the Okinawan sun. Bread, pastries, curry bread, pizza it just goes on. Almond croissants Look make sure you’ve eaten before you go here otherwise you’ll look like I did. A slob eating all my pastries outside in their bench as if I had been starved for a year. Did I look pathetic? Yes. Was I fat and happy on my drive home? Yes. Will I return? Yes. And you should go to.

Fav is the authentic Japanese Curry Bread ! Nothing beats the taste overseas. Many choices and all bread are delicious 😋

There are lots of choices for you to pick. The sausage one is sooo good, the sausage is juicy and the bread is crispy🥹
Siyang S — Google review
Selection of bread was wide The freshly baked ones are the best. Try the caramel nuts and curry bread. The curry bread had chunks of beef in them and the fillings were generous. There was their daily bread. For the 7th Sep 2019, it was ladyfinger and almond. Interesting combination. Not very crowded. You can get one free coffee and the next is 50 yen as of today.
Ding Y — Google review
Delicious flavours of the freshly baked bread. Simple and small eating space outside of the shop, facing the main road to watch people and cars go by. Brought our own lunch box to avoid individual plastic bags for each bread! Staff was friendly to assist with that. They were generous with most of the fillings such as the curry bun and fig with cream cheese. Except the blue cheese with honey filling was significantly less, but the flavour was amazing!

Takeout Restaurant
ToTo la Bebe Hamburgers is a delightful find in Okinawa, offering great value for money with their delicious burgers. Their meat patties are considered some of the best on the island, and the seasoning is exceptional. The restaurant maintains quality in their bread and hamburgers for takeout orders, and their fries are also highly praised. The clean and pleasant environment makes it a great spot for dining in or snapping Instagram-worthy photos.
Nice place. Rather than wait forever at Captain Kangaroo, came here and was pleasantly surprised. Tasty burger, quick service, nice atmosphere

Delicious burgers , takeout okay, the quality of the bread and hamburger is maintained for hours, the fries are also very good, eating in the store is possible, clean and pleasant environment great for instagramers pics;) (* this store complies with preventive measures against the new corona virus)

I was not planning to go here , but the soba nearby was too crowded that I cannot make it . I thought the burger is just okay, however, it actually is not bad. 調味剛好 -bread is super good. Crunchy outside but soft inside. - fries are also crunchy with very thin skin. I can finish the whole burger without guilty. Very light and healthy burger :)

What A Delight, Having dined at multiple hamberger restaurants around Okinwaw I delighted to have found ToTo la ?Bebe! The food is great and also great value for money when you consider the volume and taste. They produce one of the best meat patties on the island and seasoning is wow. I dont know why the customer line at Captain Kangaroo is not outside ToTo la Bebe? COME ON PEOPLE EAT HERE! You wont regret the burger. My only annoyance is the carpark is quite rough and needs attention but the food makes up for this short coming.

We came here on recommendation of a friend but mainly because we were curious about the meaning of the name 😛 The burgers are good and everything is freshly made. Very tasty, though my wife felt that it had too much pepper on the potato wedges and burgers. I loved it. They should stop using single use items and I will reward an additional star once they do. We always bring our own straws and O-hashi and we informed the staff, but sadly, our entire order came with straws. I suggest straws be offered by request only and with a steep surcharge. Alternate, reusable straws (perhaps with logo) could be offered for sale. Still not sure about the name. Apparently "Toto" is a cat.

Buffet Restaurant Marsen, located inside Hotel Mahaina, offers a reasonably priced buffet with a decent variety of dishes. The terrace seats provide a comfortable view of the pool, and the staff ensures a pleasant dining experience. Guests can enjoy delicious options like stir-fried beef with black pepper and prosciutto with green grapes. While some diners find the number of items to be small, the food is tasty and filling.
(Translated by Google) Okinawa Trip ④ / Hotel Mahaina Wellness Resort Okinawa I stayed at Hotel Mahaina Wellness Resort Okinawa, located near the Churaumi Aquarium. Since it was a 2-night, 3-day trip, I had the breakfast buffet here every day♪ On the first day, I sat on the terrace, and on the second day, I sat inside the restaurant. The terrace seats are not too hot in the morning. The open space is nice~ There are many Okinawan dishes, which is great! If you find yourself in Motobu-cho, Kunigami-gun, after a visit to the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, make sure to stop by Motobu Soba for an authentic taste of Okinawan cuisine. This charming eatery is known for its delicious Okinawa soba, which locals consider their soul food. The atmosphere is inviting and the prices are quite reasonable, making it a perfect spot for travelers seeking local flavors.
I love trying local spots anytime I travel. This place has earned my heart with their Okinawan Soba ❤️ such a lovely staff, lovely location, and affordable prices. I’ve tried Soba in 10 different locations all around Okinawa and this is the one I keep going back to. I’m from Chicago where food is very diverse and very delicious. I’m also very picky so this is definitely a 10/10 menu.

Healthy feel. Not too much fat on the meat despite being pork belly. Sea grape donburi ★★★★★ You get to appreciate a few different things. The sea grapes, pork and onion on rice, and a side of the noodles. The meat is soft and tasty. Overall, priced very reasonably. Highly recommended!

Oshiro Soba is a well-established soba restaurant in Okinawa, popular among locals but often overlooked by guidebooks. During a visit, it was observed that the majority of patrons were locals with few tourists. The restaurant offers medium-sized noodle soups with tender and flavorful meat. Additionally, there is a nearby parking lot available for several cars.

Went to this place today for a small snack. I believe in being polite and kind anywhere I go to but off the bat the woman here was very blunt and dismissive. I should point out that I spoke to her completely in Japanese and could (slowly) read the menu, but within 15 seconds she was rushing me telling me to order something and looked visibly pissed off when I asked her for 2 mins to decide. In the end I ordered 5 takoyaki balls (which were on the menu) and she kept insisting I ordered 10 as it was easier for her. Really I wasn't that hungry and she begrudgingly accepted and I waited while having a lovely conversation with a very funny drunk Japanese customer also waiting for her food. Finally the lady gave me my order, except she'd made 10 after all. As she stared at me serious and unamused I knew it wouldn't be worth arguing my case so I paid and left. Only the kind tipsy customer said goodbye and thank you on my way out. Honestly she was the best thing about this place. Probably best to add that I live in Osaka and takoyaki is pretty much the staple there. In comparison this place wasn't bad. Ok food but maybe just not great for foreigners.

Yaezen is a reasonably priced restaurant with a calm and homely atmosphere. It offers a wide variety of menu items including limited daily set meals, Okinawa soba, squid ink soba, and juicy dishes. The interior has a period style with several table seats and raised tatami rooms. The boss is attentive in introducing the dishes which include squid ink, tempura, Okinawa fried bitter gourd, pancakes, and mixed rice.
It's my favourite place for lunch. The restaurant offers set lunch for 550 yen on weekdays and the menu is different everyday. They are famous for squid Okinawa Siva which is really unique and tasty. The tempura don and tempura soba are really generous in term if servings. Lunch hour may be busy especially during summer season.

We just ran into this place without doing any researches but it was a great local restaurant. I had been ordering soki-soba for lunch everyday and was going to this time as well. But since i saw the humongous tempura rice bowl meal I had to order one. It came with a tiny bowl of soki-soba that satisfied my appetite and other small plates.

Wowee! We were searching for a place serving Okinawan dishes and this was recommended by our host and it didn’t disappoint. Soki Soba and Goya Champaru were some of the dishes we ordered. The broth of the Soki Soba was the best - a smoky salty flavour that I could drink for days. Service was outstanding as the lady was patient with us and our broken Japanese. Atmosphere was what we were hoping, a traditional Japanese seating arrangement. Price was so good and I’d recommend any day of the week.

Their lunch plate is delicious and healthy. I love the fresh produce and the atmosphere is nice. However, if you want the lunch plate, go before 2:30pm. Anytime I go later than that they say they are done with the lunch plate even though it says they have it until 3pm on their menu. They should change the time because I had to leave the restaurant 5 times now, including today. So my advice is go there early… probably no later than 2pm is best for lunch.

The hotdog plate is a regular, homemade dish. The daily lunch plate is also always delicious. Always emphasis of fresh local vegetables following the idea of direct from farm to table idea. Note that both pictures correspond to the set menus, the hotdog you get outside of the lunch hours likely will have less side dishes.

Last order for lunch was written in the menu at 14.45 hours. We were about to order at 14.30, but the staff told us the "lunch time" was finished. Correct the L.O. time in the menu to 14.30 please. Hotdog was the only food menu available for afternoon. It came with half a piece of cherry tomato, a single violet leaf, and a sad tiny piece of chewy tortilla like stuff. Supposed to be artistic? We compared to what we see from other customers' photo, we just have to believe that this is under delivered. I asked for knife and fork, as they were not given (well, it's hotdog). I saw that forks and knifes were right in front of the staff in the kitchen counter, but instead of giving them to me she offer to chop the hotdog for me. She might meant well but that was awkward. It's either this particular staff was extremely lazy or we were treated like this because we were foreigners. Sorry, that's how we honestly felt. This marked a bad memory about Okinawa.

Delightful little cafe featuring home made-hot dogs/sausages, pastries, muffins, smoothies and more. Prices are reasonable and presentation lovely. The day of my visit, there were 3 items on the lunch menu, the first and last were hot dogs, and the middle one, all in Japanese, appealed to my illiterate curiosity. Shortly after ordering, an appetizing lunch platter arrived at my table, and from there I enjoyed a smorgasbord of well executed flavors including chicken, mango chutney, dried veggies, tempura veggies (including Okinawa’s famous bitter melon), colorful rice, and a fragrant vegetable soup. I thrive on variety, and this lunch set checked all the boxes. Service was pleasant, payment was convenient (credit cards, cash, etc), and the seating area was bright and clean, with both indoor and outdoor options. Plenty of on-site parking, and a number of food-oriented shops in the same complex provide for a pleasant walk after a meal. Eager to try their home made-hot dogs and pastries, and even to repeat my lunch set, I’ll be back soon.

Vegan restaurant
I visited a month ago after going to the Glasshouse with a small group. I had some spare time and used Google Maps to find a vegan restaurant. The atmosphere of this place can only be described as cozy and inviting. The warm color scheme and carefully designed decor create a pleasant ambiance. When you place your order, you can watch the kitchen staff preparing your meal right behind the menu board.
100% vegan and natural foods made with care. Apparently the building itself was diy made from scrap wood with only the nails being newly bought! The ambiance of this cafe is so peaceful and the food is nutritious and consciously created with the earth in mind. The owners traveled to India and Nepal to study the traditional foods there and are now offering their version using Okinawan ingredients🌱 I absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a vegan, nutrient dense, and beautifully plated lunch! Also don’t miss their little section of locally made goods such as Ayurvedic oils and honey.

A place with soul 🌞🌴 We loved this cute little cafe! The food and drinks were super tasty and the owners were super friendly. It's a cosy spot just tucked away from the roadside, but nestled amongst trees that it feels peaceful and tranquil. We missed out on trying the main meals so next time we come back it's on our list! They sell awesome local items too where we picked up a whipped honey and coral powder. There were also some really interesting books you could purchase too!

We had an excellent time at niceness and I can best describe the experience as peaceful. The food is all organic, gluten-free and vegan and all grown on their family farm. The transfer of the ingredients from the earth to the plate is both meticulous and seamless and you can even watch the magic happen while you wait. The tea we had was perhaps the best tea we’ve ever had and the local honey used to sweeten it was good enough to buy from their small gift shop. A bonus was that a part of the proceeds go to increasing nectar plants on the island. Perhaps the highlight was the incorporation of nature into the restaurant and outdoor seating area which made for a wonderful ambiance that would alone be worth returning for. We loved the food, the service and the atmosphere and will definitely be back.

Was here about a month ago after taking a trip to the Glasshouse with a small group. We had some free time, so I plugged “Vegan” into Google Maps and off I went! I don’t know how else to describe the atmosphere of this place other than “cozy” and “welcoming.” The color palette is warm and the decoration is well thought out. The food is a whole other level of delightful. When you order, the kitchen is right behind the large menu board. As you sit, you get to listen to, smell, and see a little of your meal being prepared right then. The delivered product is arranged nicely on the plate. Everything tasted wonderful, and I even had a few flavors I had never experienced before! 10/10, I wholeheartedly recommend this place to ANYONE passing through the area! Delicious and unique all vegan Japanese style food. The owner grows all vegetables herself and all food is made on sight. The bread is to die for! The water even comes from a spring in Nago! The downsides though are cash only (yen only, no card), minimal seating, and some sauces on the veggies were a bit weird and not my favorite flavors. Still enjoyed everything and would go back again!

Taco restaurant
Captain Kangaroo Hamburger is a popular spot with an industrial-chic decor and oversized burgers, fries, and rice dishes topped with taco meat and guacamole. The staff is attentive, making sure to keep waiting parties informed about their table's availability. The Sparky burger stands out for its flavorful combination of onions and bacon, while the milkshakes are a hit. Despite the potential for long lines during peak hours, the delicious food and friendly staff make it worth the wait.
On my first and second visits, I had an outstanding experience at this restaurant. The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxing. Everything is made to order. Even with a busy crowd, the wait time was quite reasonable. Plus, I walked away with two fantastic shirts! If you find yourself in the Motobu area, don’t miss the chance to enjoy a top-notch burger here. We will definitely be returning soon!

Always a delicious hamburger! So big that it may be difficult to get a bite but oh so good. Lots of flavors to try, too. It’s worth the wait! The staff will take your order outside, shortly before being seating. This speeds up the process for the meal and creates a more enjoyable experience. They have also added a food truck outside, so you can take your meal to go or eat outside. Make sure you plan to stop at this iconic restaurant while in Okinawa.
Cindy K — Google review
First thing I normally do is to check the bad reviews of a place, and to be honest I could not disagree more. I feel is one of the best burgers I ate so far. The bread more European style and not the American one that becomes soft and full of sugar. This one was more tasty and was crunchy despite all the juices from the burger. Meat was really tasty but I ordered double patty so might happen than if you only order one maybe you feel that burger does not taste too beefy. The only “but” might be the fries, and just because they are normal compared with the level of the burger. If they cook them a little bit crispier this place would be 10 out of 10.

Louisa K — Google review
Honestly, Burger King is on a much higher level. While it's tasty, the patty is too strong and doesn't harmonize well with the vegetables. The price is also on the high side, so I won't be coming back.

The best burger place in Japan. Giant mural on the wall. Delicious tasting burgers. One patty is more than enough. There was a little wait to get seats but the server took our order before we got into the place so once we sat down our food came really fast. Very good recommendation from a good friend. We were too full to order the milk shake but we will save that for our next visit. Free wifi for travelers!

Absolutely a Must Go place when you are in Okinawa. This is my second time and it’s been great both times. The first time I arrived shortly after opening and only had a 10 minute wait to get seated. This time it was over 45 minutes. Conveniently they have a truck outside that you can order at and get food right away! Super cool idea and I ate in my car.

The restaurant is just right outside our hotel, 3 mins walk. Food was nice ! Really a good experience for Okinawa food!
Connie T — Google review
We came here because we were staying at the Best Western across the street and we wanted to try traditional Okinawan food. The food was good but unfortunately we were targeted for the classic tourist trap. As we were sat, we were each given a menu along with a small piece of tofu (literally 5 cm x 5 cm). We ate it as we believed it came with the experience. We ordered our food, ate and paid. After paying, we took a look at the receipt and they had charged us 350 yen for each piece of tofu that was given to us (700 yen total). This was very disheartening because the restaurant was beautiful, but we lose respect for any restaurant that feels the need to take advantage of tourists. Feel free to come eat here as a tourist but just be careful to check your bill before paying, and don’t eat anything you didn’t order.
Daniel K — Google review
We came here for late dinner as it was located across from our hotel. Service was okay. Family restaurant that turns into an izakaya at night. Supposedly Tom Cruise visited once. Wasn't too busy on a weekday night. Bit pricey. Plenty of parking out front. We ordered some dishes to share. The goya champuru, local fried fish, juisi & fu champuru. Decent portions. They were all done well. Quite flavorful. Our favorites being the goya & fish. To wash it all down we drank some draft Orion beer & sours. Overall we enjoyed our dinner. A decent spot to try Okinawan specialities.

Phenominal experience. The grilled fish and the chicken wings were flavorful. It was perfectly cooked. We also had the sake which paired well with the main course. I do recommend trying the melted tofu dish however be aware it does have a strong alcoholic taste to it for those who do not drink.

Restaurant
Restaurant Flipper is a popular grill joint known for its Okinawa-style steaks with garlic butter and house sauce, as well as pies and coffee. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and is usually very clean. It can get quite crowded, so it's best to visit during off-peak hours to avoid long waits.
The steaks at this restaurant are very tender and juicy. The tenderness of the filet steak is especially surprising. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Handmade cookies are also available and are very tasty and popular. Since there are only a few products available, they sell out quickly, so it is recommended that you buy them when you find them. The prices are reasonable and very satisfying. (Please note that payment is by cash only.)
Sho N — Google review
The ambience of the restaurant was very nice but unfortunately I was not impressed by the food. We would not have minded waiting for an hour or having to go to the ATM for cash if the food had been more flavorful. The lobster was rubbery and the steak very bland. The prices were rather expensive and it did not live up to our expectations. The best part of the meal was the soup. We did like that the restaurant had traditional dining. We would not return though.
Desiree M — Google review
The restaurant was very clean and had a good atmosphere. We arrived for lunch and waited 2 hours for a table. I was prepared to wait as I had read the reviews that it was a very popular restaurant and well worth the wait. Once we ordered it didn't take more than 10 minutes for the food to come out. I ordered the sirloin and it was okay, but not great. The temperatures they'd cook it at were medium, medium-well, and well done. The homemade sauce added flavor to my steak that I was missing without it. I just wish they would've cooked the steak with more seasoning (salt and pepper).

come here for lunch after 30 min drive fr churaumi. American style deco restaurant. Guided cp is available due to popularity. Waiting list is 30-45 min. Steak is well cooked & tasty. Medium & medium well is clearly differentiated. Not many option to choose but Personally fillet is better thn sirlion. While waiting or after meal, can stroll the beach just in front.

I had such a great meal at Restaurant Flipper in Nago! We didn’t have a reservation but the wait didn’t take too long. The steak and it was perfectly cooked, so tender and flavorful, it honestly melted in my mouth. You can tell they’ve been doing this for years. The whole place has a retro charm, and the staff were super warm and welcoming. Definitely one of my favorite meals in Okinawa! simple, hearty, and just really, really good. Do note that do cash only! We needed a ride back and the staff was kind to help us call a local taxi.

A traditional Okinawan steakhouse what has been in business well over 50 years. I had the beef tenderloin for lunch — it was well prepared and definitely worth trying. The restaurant is only open during lunch hours and is extremely popular. We arrived about 30 minutes after opening, and there was already a wait of over 45 minutes, so it’s best to come early.

A good place to taste Okinawan steak served on a grill. It follows the Japanese concept of 'Western dish', providing soup and toast with a set of meal. Both sirloin and fillet minion were nice but I prefered fillet minion which was more tender and tasty. You should expect a long queue and very limited parking space. There is a beach with the great sunset right in front of the restaurant.

La Tida is a hotel with a restaurant that offers a buffet dinner and breakfast. The food variety and quality are great, and the staff provides excellent service. It's recommended to make reservations for breakfast to avoid waiting. The restaurant has an incredible view, and the ice cream is highly recommended. The terrace restaurant is known for its sunset views and offers large drinks perfect for enjoying the scenery. Additionally, it's considered an economic choice with value-for-money options like seafood pasta.
A great buffet with a view. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets are great but dinner is more impressive in my opinion but I would say it is a little pricey for a buffet when for similar prices you can get a kaiseki experience. There is a great variety of dishes, all well done and kept appropriately warm. Some items like the french toast can be a bit hit or miss and it is important to be specific about what type of eggs you want. The omelette style is Japanese omurice style and can be very soft inside. It would be great if they had more ingredient options for the eggs. Overall a good choice to eat but I would recommend the a la carte for the evening.
Daryl S — Google review
The ambiance of the restaurant is truly beautiful and elegant – you can tell a lot of thought went into the design. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ends. The food was simply disappointing. For the prices charged, we expected significantly better quality. While the presentation was appealing, the taste fell short. I expected much more from this restaurant. The ambiance alone is not enough to justify the high expectations and prices.
Davide B — Google review
My friend's mom treated me at this restaurant so I didn't know how much it costs. However, the food is great and the view is incredible! The highlight of the meal, however, is the ice cream. I just had ice cream before coming here but their ice cream blew me away. The blue ice cream ramune flavor tastes like the drink itself with fuzzy sparkling sensation. The dessert selection is quite expansive as well.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and had 2 breakfasts and a buffet dinner in this restaurant. Everything has gone great in terms of the variety and quality of food and the staff's service. But please please please remember to make a reservation (if possible, as I am not aware of this option over the stay) for your breakfast if you have plans afterwards as we (two people) have for more than 30 minutes to get in on the last day. We have almost missed our reserved car and lagged behind of the schedule because of the unexpected queue. But overall, it's a nice restaurant with an astonishing view.

Buffet restaurant with a good spread of food. It is expensive for the food available, but the view of the beach and sea is amazing! You need to book a table, and if you don't do this 1 day in advance, the online system will show the restaurant as fully booked. However, in our experience, it was never full.

We were just passing through Nago during morning, drawn in by its charming local vibe—warm, rustic, and full of character. It felt like the kind of place where locals have their favorite hidden food spots, and we were lucky enough to find one: Nagumagai. From our experience, this restaurant truly serves Okinawan comfort food—generous portions, rich flavors, and a cozy, homey atmosphere that made us feel like we were dining in someone’s home. The friendly staff added to that feeling of warmth and hospitality, making this meal one of the highlights of our culinary journey in Okinawa.

This is real home cooking from Okinawa. They have an English manual, and nd everything is absolutely delicious and very fairly priced! The staff is lovely and the decor is just excellent! Love going there! And they have sea snake and dolphin!
David W — Google review
For the store and the location itself its great. Its located right near the visitor station and the expressway. The store is very interesting with the overloading amount of traditional Japanese/Okinawan décor. The dishes that I have ordered was the sea snake soup, goat soup, duck soup and the western style hamburg steak. The sea snake soup was the first snake soup I have ever tried and it is one of a kind. It came with three pieces of the sea snake, alone with pork feet. The texture of the sea snake tasted like beef with fish bones. It doesn't have a strong distinct taste or smell. I would encourage to try it if you haven't already. The goat soup has a very distinct goat smell to the dish. This smell is not for everyone's taste but if you had goat before and don't have an issue with it's flavor, I would encourage to try it as well. To me it's somewhat enjoyable and it came with a good amount of goat meat. However, the duck soup smells like my dog after she showered, which isn't a very pleasant smell that you want to sniff in a restaurant. This isn't the first time I have had duck but the way they prepare it had a natural and organic way which you could literally taste the duck as you take a bite of the animal alive. If you have an insensible stomach and taste you might love this dish. The western style hamburg steak is plain. The sauce that comes with it is watery, they also put cheese on the hamburg steak. This "hamburg steak" is a mixture of a hamburger patty and is shaped like a steak. The meal also comes with cooked onions, small dish of peas, carrots and corn, salad, and mashed potato soup. Would recommend for kids to eat but tastes normal to me. Finally the most disturbing experience I have experienced during the time I stay in the restaurant was the sensed of the negative presence of energy. It has a negative feel around the restaurant. It makes you feel like a cold blooded being here to consume different types of animals. Yes, I know it's contradictory to what we have ordered but we didn't expect the food to taste like the animal it's self, which is a first experience to me and my companion. On the menu they also have the dolphin which my partner and I did not order. Overall the experience that you have with this restaurant is one that you rather not have but no regrets if you had it.

First about food, we ordered フーチパー入りボロジューシー and 山羊汁定食, both have medicine good for recovering strength, a little bit bitter but it was nice. We also ordered mango juice but it was a bad choice, it wasn’t even real mango but just mango taste powder milk shake, don’t order it, it is expensive and taste bad. I only gave 3 stars because there are flea on the 床 area, I got bitten 3 times, I should choose table seat.

Very good local specialties for dinner (the shabu set course is a delight), but struggles on sashimi and the space is - despite not using most of the tables - very much the same place where there's a busy breakfast buffet. Mark-up on alcohol extreme even for a hotel. Very good service.

Yukino, a Japanese restaurant in the Resonex area, offers delicious local cuisine to its patrons. Despite initial concerns about not being able to consume alcohol, this was not an issue at all. The restaurant boasts ample parking space with around 5 parking lots adjacent to the premises. Arriving before 6:00 pm ensured a convenient parking spot. Yukino is spacious and attracts both hotel guests and local families after 6 o'clock.
Authentic setting, serving the locals. Came to try some of the okinawan dishes...braised pork belly, stir fried bitter gourd with egg, tofu and pork slices, tempura locally harvested seaweeds etc

Cosy family place with an excellent sashimi chef, we had set meals, tempura and sashimi and tau fu and two drinks. It was a lovely experience.

Yukino restaurant serves delicious karagge, very good bitter gourd (Goya) chanpuru, and yakitori. Okinawa soba is good, I've had better – it was a little salty, and the soup lacked flavor. However, the price is very reasonable, and they accept credit cards. Oddly enough, the karagge was some of the best I've ever tasted.

A homely restaurant serves Okinawa local food, delicious and as consistent as 30 months ago that I visited last time; reasonable price; all staff serves with hospitality; many family visited the restaurant with children; the atmosphere is family like; arrived there at 6:30pm and wait for less than 10 minutes.

Good place to try Okinawan food. Loved it! There was a queue; one has to leave a name, but that soon cleared. Forgot to take pic of karaage but it was just the right crispiness. Will definitely return.

Traditional Japanese restaurant. We sat on the straw floor. Food was great. Try the sea urchin dish and fried chicken. The curry and the yakitori were just ok. Service was excellent despite being very busy. We tried to eat there on another night around 630pm, but there was a line up. We would have loved to eat there again!

Super good food and very nice and polite people! They also have English menu. Very fresh salmon sashimi and i love the gunkan rolls and grape seaweed. Parking is not a problem, you can tell the staff that you need a parking space. They only accept CASH.

Good atmosphere, tasty Okinawa style Izakaya food with Chinese, English and Korean menu. Try their seaweed tempura (もずく Mozuku, a local algae) and kimichi fry udon. Service is polite but a bit slow, they just too busy. Expect to queue for seating.

Located in Motobu Town, right across from Toguchi Port, Ganaha Butaniku Motobu Branch is a restaurant managed by a butcher shop. It offers affordable lunch options and is known for its delicious miso soup. The restaurant is affiliated with a nearby butcher shop but operates independently for lunch service only. The miso soup served here is particularly praised for its rich flavor and ability to replenish the body's salt levels.
(Translated by Google) A restaurant directly managed by a butcher shop The soba shop located right across from Toguchi Port in Motobu Town, which is the departure and arrival point for high-speed boats on Minna Island, had been replaced by a new shop, so I went there right away. The name of the store is "Ganaha Pork Store Headquarters Store" There is an affiliated butcher shop nearby, but this restaurant is only open for lunch. What I received was "Ganaha Lunch Set Meal" It's a hearty serving of meat and fried side dishes, reminiscent of A Lunch, one of Okinawa's soul foods. Even the soup is a pork soup with plenty of meat. This is irresistible for meat lovers! The menu has a wide range of options, from relatively inexpensive speed menus to slightly higher-quality volume menus, making it a great option for a variety of customer groups. (Translated by Google) First of all, the cost performance is good. Even with a drink bar, you can eat to your heart's content for just 1,000 yen. However, the taste is delicious! I wouldn't go so far as to say that the way the pork cutlet was fried was a bit strange. Also, the rice was soft and had a noticeable stickiness. When I think of Ganaha, I have an image of them being very particular about what they do, so maybe my expectations were a little too high. You'll likely be more satisfied with relatively inexpensive menu items such as soba and yakitori set meals. It seems like it hasn't been open yet, so I'm looking forward to seeing it in the future. Colombin is a long-standing family restaurant that has been serving global and Okinawan cuisine since 1971. The casual eatery is adorned with model ships and decorative tea cups, creating a cozy atmosphere for diners. While the dinner menu may be on the pricier side, the lunch options are reasonably priced with generous portions. The restaurant caters to both locals and tourists, attracting a mix of elderly patrons and families.
We visited with our two young kids and felt so welcomed from the moment we walked in. A kind man, who we think was the owner, gave the kids toys to play with, which was such a thoughtful touch. I had the steak cooked medium rare—it was perfectly tender and full of flavour. The kids' meals came out in little car-shaped plates, which they loved! Great food, great prices, and exceptional service. Highly recommend! IS CASH ONLY 💸

This place was amazing because my friend has genuine allergies to 4 different foods. The server was not only completely understand and kind, they made my friend feel validated and understood the need. Most places in Japan look at you like your an alien when you say you have an allergy to food, but here they were so supporting. The food was really good and the price was just as good. It has a very 1980's Amer-Japan feel to it. The portion size was great and the beer was ice cold. Love everything about this restaurant. If you're staying at any of the hotels around, it is worth the visit if you want to try a restaurant. English was accepted.

Cash only restaurant with plenty of seating. Our family ordered the hamburger kid’s meal, garlic steak, curly fries & fried chicken, and a mixed vegetables in rice bowl with sweet & sour chicken. The sweet potato and sesame balls were wonderful and we wanted to order more. English is provided on the menu for all items but some were sold out / seasonal and we only knew that from using google translate.

Ok...Place overall looks good. However, when you get food you suddenly realize you are sitting in a kind re-branded Royal Host or Jonathan kind of place (both are low price, simple family restaurant chains in Japan). Food choice is limited (everything is kind of same), big portions, big drinks, not much taste, cocktail was actually quite good. Ok place, will never come back.

I would say family restaurant describes this place best. The selection is quite large and everyone should find something on their menu. Everything we ordered came quickly to the table and tasted good but somehow I was still hungry. The place is in business since 1971, so they have to do something right.

The Busena Terrace is a luxurious beach resort with 10 dining options, 4 bars, and a kids' club. While some guests have expressed disappointment with cleanliness and service, others have found it to be a top-class hotel in a fantastic location. The incorporation of Okinawan culture into its architecture and services adds to the excellent experience. The hotel offers stunning views that change with the season and time of day. Guests recommend taking leisurely walks around the property to discover its beauty.
We had a perfect stay for our honey moon! Couldn’t have wished for more ♥️🙏 Thanks to the fantastic staff! The room is big and spacious, breakfast is really nice (especially the on the spot made omelette), the view is breathtaking and there are many activities options!
Maria P — Google review
Liked · Luxury resort with a great beach and beautiful views combined with many (many!) eating options. The hotel is remote enough that during off-peak it can be a wonderful escape from the busy tourist areas while still getting to enjoy the island through the many activities offered within the resort. Disliked · This is a very 'Japanese' resort and can feel quite rigid to compared to western culture. Being 'told off' for wearing the pajamas provided in our room to go and buy a drink (not in a bar or the restaurants, literally to quickly buy a bottle of water within the resort itself at night) was surprising and unnecessary. There is also a small army of staff on hand at all times which begins to get annoying as you enter and leave the resort each day and have literally 6+ people all greeting you and bowing etc etc. The beach was private and had a decent amount of accessible coral within it. The beach itself was sandy and beautiful and you can see sunset from this beach. The water and waves are very gentle and it is great to swim in. The area within which you can swim was very small considering the length of the beach as a whole. this is very frustrating and with the army fo staff they have, assigning more life guards and expanding the swimming area seems like a sensible thing to do. Overall - If you plan to stay here, I would recommend a shorter stay < a week. I would also recommend to have a car or to plan to spend all your time on the resort and using their resources but be aware that this will be more expensive than anywhere outside the resort and is unlikely to be better quality, simply more convenient - it is disappointing how expensive simple things like bike rental (which was by the hour!?!) were as a guest at the hotel.
Daryl S — Google review
The hotel looks very beautiful and luxurious from the outside, and the rooms are indeed very nice, spacious, and comfortable. The location is also excellent, and the buffet was a real highlight of our stay — varied, fresh, and very enjoyable. That being said, we did experience some difficulties that made our stay less pleasant than expected, especially considering the high price range of the hotel. Communication was sometimes challenging with English, which led to misunderstandings when ordering food. We were also a bit disappointed to find that many facilities were closed during our stay. For example, the outdoor pool was only open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a daily closure for “maintenance” at 3 p.m., which felt quite restrictive. In addition, most restaurants were closed, and the few that remained open — apart from the buffet — were rather expensive compared to the quality offered. What we would kindly suggest is clearer communication in advance about the availability of facilities (restaurants, pool, etc.). This way, guests can plan accordingly and avoid disappointment. It would also be wonderful if more staff members could communicate in English, to make the experience smoother for international travelers. We truly appreciated the beautiful setting and the comfort of the rooms, and we believe that with some improvements in communication and service availability, the hotel could fully live up to its luxurious image.
Tom — Google review
The hotel makes a good first impression – the grounds are well-maintained, and the rooms are clean and modern. The staff is very friendly, although many speak little or no English, which can make communication difficult for international guests. The quality of the food in the main restaurant is good, but the buffet is the same every day – after two or three days, you’ve seen everything. There are other restaurants in the hotel, but they are very expensive. Some more variety in the buffet or more affordable alternatives would be welcome. For breakfast, there are several restaurants, but only one offers a Western buffet, and it is extremely crowded. Guests often have to wait to get access, which makes starting the day a bit stressful. What is really frustrating is the pool: it is only open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and between 2 and 3 p.m., when the sun is strongest, it is closed for supposed maintenance. However, nothing was ever actually done. This rule is very annoying and feels completely arbitrary. Overall, it is a solid hotel with very friendly staff and good food, but there are clear weaknesses in variety, organization, English proficiency, and the breakfast situation.
Christina W — Google review
Especially the service in the hotel is not up to the standards of 5 star hotels and the facilities are also quite worn out. The corridors and rooms are musty and mould is visible in places. The biggest disappointment was the activity centre, which doesn't actually organise or organise anything itself, only book at the local diving centre. The snorkelling booked ended up not being by boat but by car, and the promised showers before returning to the hotel meant spilling water from a barrel in the car park. No one at the hotel spoke English, we were unable to talk to anyone at the overpriced Japanese restaurant about basic portion size issues, and although there were only 5 tables occupied, 3 of the waiters looked at us but were unable to communicate with us. The same goes for the front desk, to whom I wanted to communicate my impressions and complaints at check out, I was told that there was no manager in the hotel on Sunday who spoke English, German, French or Spanish, and that I should send everything in writing. This is unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. Overpriced hotel, with lousy service.
Daniela — Google review
This is not a 5 Star Hotel. 3 Star to 4 at best NO poolside service NO Poolside food NO Pool Bar Pools start closing from 5pm. Rooms are old and outdated. No staff to ask any questions. We arrived at 2pm. Not able to get a drink or some to eat or snack on…not good. Very disappointed. Do not stay if you’re looking for luxury. At $1000AUD per night ($100000 Yen), it’s a waste of money.
R T — Google review
This place isn’t for foreigners, honeymoon or anyone who has a palet or wants value for his money. It is definitely not a 5 star hotel but rather a hotel school camouflaged behind a hotel. Most staff doesn’t speak a word of English. Let me walk you through a few of the things we went through during our stay: The beach has opening hours, you can’t go before 9 in the water, nor after 6, which is outrageous considering the water’s for everyone. Most bars and restaurants are either over booked, or never opened. If you are a foreigner, they’ll clearly show that they don’t care. DO NOT order from a la carte menu at places they offer buffet. Guess what, they’ll just throw some of the food from the buffet onto a plate and charge you for an a la carte meal. Rooms are old and walls are thin, you can hear everything happening in the hotel at night, kids, music, people talking in the hallway. Some of the staff and even some of the guest will clearly discriminate you and treat you like you don’t matter, but they will pay infinitely more attention to Japanese people, trust me, we saw it with our own eyes. Breakfast is overcrowded, we had to wait for the place to be empty and had to the rush eating because they would close. Finally, the food itself is far from a 5 star hotel or a 4 star hotel standard. Meats are over cooked and chewy, veggies are cold, sauces are too sweet and most drinks are completely watery and full of ice. Absolutely not recommended if you have any standards whatsoever.
Hadrien M — Google review
Very mixed feelings about this place. The good - the rooms were great, the ocean view for sunsets is definitely worth it - the car valet staff were very friendly and quick -cocktail bar was nice with live music The bad - most of the restaurants either weren’t open, impossible to get a reservation in, or didn’t allow babys/children. We had to go off resort for all our meals which was good to see local culture but still would have been nice to have the option. For a family resort, why no kids allowed? - huge lineups for breakfast buffet, the Japanese breakfast was quicker and easier so we opted for that everyday, but for a resort that size it was a shame to see such huge lineups - only one pool open, the lifeguards literally Harassed us about our tattoos…. Really disappointing. Made my wife get out of the pool while holding our baby. Yes I understand if I’m going to a fancier Japanese onsen bath house why tattoos have to be covered, but at a family beach resort?! Not a fan of wearing a full length shirt in 35 degree weather in a hot pool… they should change their policy. - prices were very very high considering everything mentioned

As with all restaurants at Busena Terrace, the staff have no knowledge of the menu or wine, so there are few elements that would make the meal even more enjoyable. Yakiniku restaurant
Oba-no-ie is a hidden gem tucked away in an alley off the main road, offering a unique dining experience where guests sit on the floor and take off their shoes. Despite the language barrier, the staff warmly welcomes visitors. The restaurant's friendly atmosphere and delicious food make it a must-visit spot, although it may not be suitable for those with breathing problems or tall individuals due to the seating arrangements.
Truly a local hidden gem that I really enjoyed. This establishment made our trip to Okinawa unforgettable. The staff is very friendly. It can get very smoky inside due to the yakiniku, but it feels so homey and cozy inside. Parking can be a challenge as the driveway is fairly tight.

Had a wonderful dining experience at this Japanese BBQ restaurant! The meat was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The staff were all super friendly and attentive, making the atmosphere feel warm and welcoming. Special shoutout to the lovely staff—so kind and all very cute! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy spot with great food and service.

Very good ambience Charcoal grilled place, with both outdoor and indoor seating. Staff are all young and nice. Food in general is good, we ordered the meat combo they recommend but the reorder for specific part of the meat is not as good as the first dish( not sure if we ordered the right one ) so remember to ask what it was before you eat 😂 so you won’t mixed up. Book in advance is suggested.

Feeling like the VIP of Yakiniku world at this hidden gem in Kise, Okinawa! 🥩✨ It’s reservations-only policy! Got my own time-limited feast, perfect for a quick muncher like me. 😄 But hey, the staff's got my back, encouraging me to savor every bite. Can't resist coming back for round three! 🙌 Huge thanks to the caring, cute, and pretty young girl Airi for making my dining experience unforgettable! From the warm welcome to the thoughtful service, she truly made me feel like royalty. 👑 #YakinikuParadise #AiriRocks #OkinawaEats

This spot is a local gem for those of us who love BBQ!! I worked at a yakiniku restaurant back in the day, so I know good yakiniku when I have it, and this was great. The meat quality was top notch, the shrimps large and fresh, and the vegetables straight from someone's garden. Yummy drinks too! Just be prepared to get smoky and wear your casual clothes. It's well worth it. And tables are old school Japanese style, low and seated on tatami mats. Reservations are recommended as they fill up fast! The servers and owner were so so sweet with us. I loved the vibes of this spot. I wish this were my local yakiniku joint!!

Very bad experience. Sitting on the floor in a small room eating charcoal grilled meat. It was very very hot, and there was a lot of smoke, but there was no range hood or other devices. After eating, the whole body was full of lingering smell of smoke. If you drive, the smoke will also be contaminated in the car. If you have some requirements for the environment, I don't recommend eating here.

McDonald's, a well-established and popular fast-food franchise recognized for its hamburgers and French fries, can easily be located in Okinawa with an abundance of parking spaces. This particular McDonald's branch situated in Nago is charming, well-maintained, and offers delicious hot breakfast options. The staff members are incredibly helpful despite having limited English proficiency. Regrettably, they do not have any chili sauce available.

Fanuan is an upscale French restaurant situated at Busena Terrace in Okinawa Prefecture. It's the only establishment on the terrace with a dress code, offering a high-class dining experience. The restaurant boasts a fantastic sunset view from its terrace and serves delectable dishes made with local Okinawan fish. The staff are friendly yet polite, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Guests can enjoy live music performances during special occasions like Christmas.
The main restaurant of Busena Terrace. The restaurant faces the sunset side of the hotel, so the view from the terrace is fantastic, and the sunset on a sunny day makes the restaurant even more beautiful. The staff are all friendly yet polite, which makes for a very pleasant dining experience. The food is prepared according to the seasons, and if you ask the staff in advance for a course or a la carte, they will provide you with a combination to suit your taste. Everything we ate was really delicious. I think the prices are commensurate with the food, service, and location. Dress is vacation casual. I visited Higashi Shokudo, a restaurant known for its Okinawa cuisine. Although I wasn't a big fan and found the flavors underwhelming, the frozen ice dessert was quite enjoyable and made the visit worthwhile. One notable dish is a mochi-like ball filled with red beans at its core. Overall, Shokudo is renowned for serving delicious food, particularly their take-out options and delectable sweets.

I was able to spend about 2 hours relaxing on the course while enjoying the sunset. Finish off your dessert on the outside terrace while listening to a saxophone performance. It got me in the mood for traveling. Make your reservation early. The prices of the courses increase in the order of white fish, shrimp, and abalone (15,800 yen to 27,500 yen). This time, the three of us chose three different courses, so we all shared the ingredients, so we were able to enjoy fish, shrimp, and abalone. Many things use butter when baking, and since I'm not young, I wasn't hungry until morning. Next time I think I'll order the fillet. I enjoyed the explanations of the ingredients and recommended sightseeing spots, and had a great time with good memories. I would have reduced one star if the price was a little lower, but I would like to come again. (Translated by Google) For dinner on our last day in Okinawa, we decided to have teppanyaki at Ryutan in the hotel. For the course menu, choose Ryukoku. I think the difference from other courses was the type of fish, so it might be better to decide based on your preference for fish rather than proportionally to the price. The appetizer started with mozuku, and the hors d'oeuvre included tofu yolk! It feels very Okinawan. Champuru uses wheat gluten and spam, and felt like an Okinawan home-cooked dish. The white fish poelet was also delicious with the salty sea grapes. Now, I showed you the main Motobu beef sirloin before grilling it, and it looked delicious with its marbled texture! When finishing the grilling, they flambé it right in front of you, so it's really impressive! And I had it grilled medium and medium-rare, and it was very tender and delicious. Personally, I recommend eating it with wasabi for a refreshing taste. The fat in the meat is delicious, but if you eat too much, you'll end up sagging, so it's refreshing lol There was also a second helping of garlic rice to finish the meal, so I was full until the end.

Good. We were first in the queue this morning. Had the Sushi sets and a fish soup. It was nice and fresh, but I prefer the fried fish /tempura that we were 'forced' to have a couple of days ago when we arrived at an hour before closing and Sushi had ran out. The tempura were excellent whilst the Sushi /sashimi was good. Anyway, do get there early if you want the full range of choices. It became very busy by 1130. Super good value overall. No English menu but there are photos. You buy tickets from the machine and hand them over. They give you a number and can you when it's ready.

Local 定食 style diner! Mostly customers are locals, few tourists. Customers select and pay at the machine, semi self-service. Prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious! High CP! Love this style, felt like a local!

We had a wonderful time. We were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had tempura fish, ribs, pickled cucumber, sauteed veggies and a tofu caprese salad ( I was so surprised how good the tofu was in place of the mozeralla). Great beers including local craft brews and a huge selection of awamori. We shared a flight and asked for recommendations, they brought 3 local varieties.

Came here for dinner during winter break 2023. Place was crowded and we were forewarned that the food could take a while (turned out it didn’t take that long after all). All the rooms were taken when we arrived and we were the first to be seated at the bar but that area too was completely full by the time we left. Came here based on Google reviews and we were not disappointed. We had the seared tuna, house salad and pork with milk sauce - all superb. Service was polite and prompt. Place has a cool vibe. Good value for money.

We were staying in Okinawa for for days and visited this Place a second time! Such great and friendly service from all of the staff. English was no problem. The food was also incredible. Fish&Meet with high quality. Also my vegetarian girlfriend found a few dishes she really enjoyed. If we are visiting Okinawa again, we will definitly stop by again 😊

Great place with good local Okinawa cuisine. Not disappointed by any dishes we ordered. Go for the fried somen, and the braised pork with milk sauce. Quirky decor, and unique seating... English menus available.

Fantasic experience overall. Delicious food (esp the beef sushi) and good service, at reasonable prices. Although we are foreigners, staff (Amane) was very helpful in helping us with reservation and ensuring everything was okay.

I never usually write reviews for restaurants, but this place was so good I felt compelled to share. We’ve been traveling around Japan for 3 weeks and had all sorts of excellent food, but this has topped them all. Highly recommend the seared tuna and the Okinawa speciality rafute (boiled pork) - excellent service and value for money.

If you get the chance I would come here. I thought it was a hole in the wall, then I walked in. They asked if we had reservations, we did not but thankfully there was room at the counter. Friendly and accommodating staff, would wait for reservations if I had to. Amazing food. And could be romantic, fun or business. This place is all in one stop for a good meal.

Nestled within the elegant confines of a hotel, Chinese-Okinawan-Chinese Cuisine RYU-KA-HO offers an exquisite dining experience that is sure to delight your palate. With a variety of options, including a thoughtfully curated course meal priced at 8,500 yen and an impressive made-to-order buffet, this restaurant caters to diverse tastes. Diners can savor dishes like tender meat selections and flavorful fried rice alongside unique offerings such as pink amazake—though it may not be for everyone!

It's clean and doesn't have a busy atmosphere, so it's nice to not have to eat in front of a crowd of people at a normal buffet. (Translated by Google) For the first time on our wedding anniversary, we went to the Ritz-Carlton Okinawa restaurant "Churanuuji" 🌹 When we entered the restaurant, we were guided to our seats with polite service, and there are no words to describe it other than that it was a truly special space. However, although the lighting was dim, the scratches on the surface of the dishes were quite noticeable, perhaps due to the spotlights that were aimed at each table. The food was authentic Italian cuisine made with ingredients from Okinawa Prefecture, and you can enjoy it with your eyes, taste, and smell 💕 Everything was delicious, but the roasted Okinawan beef was especially exquisite 🥹❤️‍🔥 I've eaten Matsusaka beef and Kobe beef before, but I was surprised that Okinawan beef was so delicious! ! lol If you make a reservation through the Ikyu website, you can get a free champagne toast even with the same course, so I recommend it ♡ I'm sorry if it's a limited edition item that's already sold out. This time, we have the DEGUSTAZIONE course (20,000 yen/person). Here is the menu💁‍♀️✨ 🌹Cold corn soup Not only the kernels of the corn, but the whole corn kernel, etc. are used as ingredients, making this a dish that is conscious of sustainability. You can enjoy the richness of the corn. 🌹Tuna and zucchini cream Eat fresh tuna with foamy shekwasha for a refreshing taste. It is decorated with zucchini and sea grapes and looks cute. Adding pistachio powder makes a good accent. 🌹Okinawa kuruma prawns and tillar fragola Tillar prawns mean "shellfish," and in the mainland they are called makigai. Fragola is a type of pasta that is about the size of azuki beans and round. It is made with saffron soup, so you can taste the flavor of seafood. 🌹Tagliatelle with Okinawan wild boar ragu This tastes like bolognese pasta. Tagliatelle is a flat, thin pasta. The wild boar and sliced cheese topping are also great. 🌹Roasted Okinawan beef This is my personal favorite. The tender, moderately fatty and lean meat melts in your mouth😭💕 The accompanying vegetables, which are arranged in a gradient, were also beautiful. 🌹Okinawa honey semifreddo This is lemon sorbet✨Refreshing and delicious. 🌹Small sweets This is yellow and round, with a mango-flavored jelly exterior? It's like gelatin, and the inside is ice cream. It has a strange texture, but it's definitely delicious. It was decorated with flower chocolates and candy sculptures, which were beautiful. 🌹 Dessert plate (free) When I ordered it when I made the reservation, they gave me a message + 2 mini macarons and 2 small cream puffs as desserts 🫶 🌹 Tea or coffee It was a wonderful anniversary. If you have the chance, please come once ♡ (Original)

If you pay 30,000 yen, you can get a lot of delicious Italian food, so even if you pay 10,000 yen, you can't go here. There was quite a bit of something tasteful like goat cheese (3rd photo), so I asked them to take away the plates I left because the staff at the restaurant knew what their tastes were, but I didn't want to try anything that would appeal to their tastes. I don't want to be included in the course. In the end, it was late and perhaps because the staff had decreased, desserts and coffee were all delayed. It's too late, so if you leave your seat, the coffee will come and will you bring it to your room? Well, yeah, that's right, I won't go there again. Ramen Danbo Nago offers a unique dining experience where customers can customize their ramen to their liking. Upon arrival, guests inform the staff of their party size and use a machine to place orders and make payments. They receive order coupons and are provided with a pen to indicate preferences such as noodle thickness, soup richness, green onion quantity, and additional ingredients. The restaurant allows for add-ons through the ordering machine. Visitors appreciate the ability to tailor their ramen according to personal tastes.
Great ramen! One of, if not the best, I’ve had. Egg was perfectly soft. The soup was delicious and not salty. I can drink the soup with the noodles and enjoyed every bite. The gyoza were small, but tasty - not an issue order as many as you want. The ordering was an experience as they do all the ordering with the machine. The only thing left is to decide on 5 choices: thick or thin noodles, softness of noodles, include green onions and so forth. Friendly helpful staff!

It’s a very popular ramen chain restaurant in Okinawa with a torrent of tourists and locals flocking to taste it. It’s worth trying once indeed, but that’s all. The ramen was great and I ordered their signature spicy flavour which was extremely spicy (I ordered spiciness at 12 out of 20) highly recommend you to lower the spiciness level if you couldn’t tolerate it.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful burger experience, look no further than Burger Shop H&S! This charming eatery boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The highlight of the menu is undoubtedly their burgers, especially the Okinawan beef variety that’s simply irresistible. While the food is delicious, some guests have suggested that enhancing the French fries—either by making them fresh or offering larger portions—could elevate the meal even further.
We ate the Mushroom cheeseburger and the special set. Both were very delicious! The mushroom burger is objectively better than many American burger places in my opinion. Moreover! Very welcoming to our party of five. It would seem we came soon after opening as our waitress was also our bartender and cook doing a phenomenal job at all three. The menu was also in English which helped. My partner had the curry which she loved while I had the Hawaiian burger with bacon and they even asked if I wanted the bacon soft or crispy. We enjoyed the avocado cheese burger and the plain cheeseburger. Both came with fries seasoned with curry ( if you’re not a fan of curry consider requesting fries with salt only). The portions were just right for lunch, ingredients were super fresh, especially the avocado! Decor was super cute and could handle a large crowd if needed. WOW. Probably the best Italian food we have had in Okinawa. The one chef who does everything for the restaurant was phenomenal. Everything was so fresh and authentic. He answered any and all questions we had about the food. Would go back here a million times if we could. I suggest making a reservation because it's a small place and like I said there's one guy who does it all for the restaurant.

I was told about this place by an Italian co-worker. I am fan of Neapolitan pizza and have the equipment at home to prove it, so trust me when I say, this is one of the best Neapolitan pizzas I have tasted in Okinawa. Can’t beat the prices either. We also ordered almost one of the every dish available (group of 7) and we were impressed with the simplicity yet authenticity of the food. Genta, the owner, is super chill guy and went far and beyond to accommodate us, to include an Italian cake to celebrate our daughter’s b-day. We will be coming back at least once a month…it is that good and well priced. Don’t leave Okinawa without eating here.

This was such a pleasant shop to visit. The owner is able to speak in Japanese, English, and Italian. All of the pastas, breads, and pizza are made from scratch, with many ingredients from Europe (like the prosciutto). The wine was from Italy, and he studied his recipes in Italy. It's busy, so be sure to make a reservation on the weekend. There were about 3 tables, and lots of memorabilia from Italy. Definitely worth it!

(Forgot to take photos 🥲) Came here due to needing to make an errand around Hansen and was not disappointed. I am always an advocate for Italian food. I hadn’t been to Italy since I was in high school, this food genuinely gave me a mild reminder of my visit. Their margarita pizza tasted fresh, spinach tortellini had a savory yet light taste, and their beef (braised in wine) with mashed potatoes had a bold flavor. Lemon cake was light and fresh taste Tiramisu was light with a hint of coffee taste. Both very delicious.

Noodle shop
Maeda Shokudou Nago is a popular noodle shop in the northern region known for its flavorful beef soba. The dish comes with a generous portion of bean sprouts stir-fried with pepper and served in a delicious bone broth made from pork bones. Due to limited seating and large menus, it's advisable to arrive early or expect a waiting time. The taste of the beef soba is highly recommended and worth trying when visiting the area.
During Dec. Weather is cooling For the mountain like size bean spout, it is abit salty and come with black pepper and beef. Pig leg is good. Soft. But is more to sweet side. All the serving is very big. Pls consider during ordering.

(Translated by Google) Famous beef soba 1100 yen This Okinawa soba is not a typical Okinawa soba, but tastes more like stir-fried vegetable soba. A large amount of bean sprouts and a small piece of chewy stir-fried beef sit on top of the noodles. The soup also has a stamina-like taste, with the juices and sauce from the stir-fried vegetables oozing out. The noodles are quite thick, but they stick together unexpectedly. If you want to try a slightly different type of Okinawa soba, this is recommended. (Translated by Google) At lunchtime, I went to Maeda Shokudo Nago Branch, a famous local restaurant in Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture. I visited this Nago branch after hearing that the servings of their specialty beef soba noodles are even more amazing than at the main branch. There is a parking lot that is so big that I think it can accommodate more cars than there are seats in the restaurant. There is a noren curtain with "Maeda Shokudo" written on the inside of the restaurant window, and it looks very modest lol When I entered the restaurant, I managed to slip into the last seat. I ordered the beef soba noodles and soba noodles that I was looking for❗ Looking at the table next to me, I saw the remains of bones piled high in the bowl, and there was a dish with bones still attached to them in a huge bowl. When I asked, I was told that it was 600 yen with bone soup rice. The amount of food was amazing. The beef soba noodles that I was looking for arrived❗ If I put my chopsticks in to eat the bean sprouts, the sprouts would spill out. After eating a certain amount, I evacuated the bean sprouts and spring onions into the empty bowl and finally met the noodles❗ I couldn't do the Tenchi-gaeshi with one pair of chopsticks, so I used two pairs to do the ultimate Tenchi-gaeshi❗ The noodles were flat and chewy, filling. The bean sprouts were crunchy and spicy with pepper. The soup tasted quite different from the image of Okinawa soba, with the peppery spiciness of the stir-fried vegetables coming to the forefront. I got the regular beef soba, with 1kg of bean sprouts and 250g of noodles. If it were me, I'd call it bean sprout soba rather than beef soba lol I told the owner, "That's a huge amount. I'm so full," and he replied, "You're a small eater." I highly recommend it for big eaters. Anyway, the other dishes, including the yakiniku side dishes, looked to be very plentiful, and the cost performance was excellent. While we were eating, people in work clothes and other people who looked like locals came in, so it was clear that this is a popular restaurant with locals. There were people waiting in line so we left early. My stomach was totally full❗ Thank you for the meal❗ (Original)

(Translated by Google) It's been a while since my last visit, and I ordered beef soba. When I saw the beef soba, I couldn't figure out where the meat was. After searching, I found that there were only four pieces. 😭 I was planning to complain to the waiter about the lack of meat and have them help me, but instead, they said, "When we cooked together, some meat ended up going to another customer," and went into the kitchen. Apparently, the bowl usually contains 50 grams of meat, and I thought they'd make more, but they said they couldn't serve it because it's difficult to season properly. It's a shame, as I was planning to eat rice with beef and bean sprouts. The bean sprouts also tasted raw, so I think I won't be going back. I think the main store is definitely tastier, so I'll go there next time. The only saving grace is that I only had to pay the price for the rice. Shabu-shabu restaurant
Old Houses of Yanbaru Dining Pine is a satisfactory shabu-shabu establishment that may be somewhat challenging to locate via GPS due to its absence from the map. Nonetheless, their effective marketing strategies, such as offering a complimentary beverage in exchange for social media endorsement, have contributed to their popularity. Due to high demand, it is advisable to make reservations in advance as they have been known to turn away guests. The restaurant provides commendable service and offers an intriguing toy for customers to request assistance.
This place serves Agu pork and other local delicacies. Ordered both the hybrid and purebred Agu for shabu shabu, and both were delicious. There is a subtle buttery aftertaste after every piece. They also had goat sashimi on the menu. It was fresh.

Agu Pork Shabu Shabu: Great Flavor, But Pricey I visited this restaurant after seeing a TikTok video about their famous Agu Pork. We walked in on a Thursday night without a reservation and only waited about 5 minutes, which was a nice surprise. 📝 Important Ordering & Cost Details (Read Before Visiting) Mandatory Ordering Rule: Since we were two people, we were told we must order two sets. However, we were not allowed to choose two full Agu Pork sets. We had to order 1 Agu Pork Set and 1 Mix Pork Set. Price: Each set cost ¥4,000 yen. Hidden Fee: Be aware of a separate ¥300 per person seating charge (often called O-toshi or table charge) which covers the hand towel, water, and a small appetizer. This is not included in the set price, and the entire bill is subject to an additional 10% VAT. I felt the total price was a little too expensive compared to the overall experience. 🐷 Food & Flavor Notes Agu Pork Tip: The pork is definitely good, but to get the best taste and the softest texture, make sure you cook it to at least a Medium to Well stage. Sides are the Star: The Agu pork itself was just 'okay' for me, and I might prefer Sukiyaki next time. However, their fried rice and shabu sauce were delicious and paired perfectly with the pork. 🧑‍💼 Service & Atmosphere The staff was polite and non-intrusive. They didn't hover, which made the meal feel very private and relaxed. Overall Verdict: The food has good points, but the mandatory set ordering and the high final price make me hesitant to give it a second round. Come prepared for the additional seating charge and try the pork cooked medium-well!

Very not recommend this restaurant, had dinner the end of June, reserved seat by phone. However, when you arrived to the restaurant, there was not sign to tell you wait outside, when you went in the shop for enquiry, no one checked with you, keep you standing at the corrido even they knew you were there, one staff even passed us to the corrido only say sumimasen. This made us embarrassing and after 15 mins, finally one of staff come and told too early with a very rude tone we were there at 7:20pm, our booking was 7:30pm. Is it a common sense to arrive 10 mins. Ok fine, then we walked outside to wait but can only went in at 7:45pm. Surprised service as a Japanese restaurant would like this. Go back to the order, they offered only a hybrid set which was half Agu Pork with half US Pork, what is this? People are coming a long way to Okinawa to take Agu Pork but they served US Pork and no choice. This was seldom a bad experience in Japanese I ever had although the food was not bad but never take this restaurant again. The price they charged is not low, comparing with this standard service, not recommended.

Amazing agu pork! Recommend pure agu pork over hybrid pork. Soup was plain which did not cover the meat taste. Provided clear instructions on how to cook the agu pork best. Price was reasonable. Highly recommend this shop!

Pork and dumplings are delicious but sadly they ran out of beef when we got there. We have 11ppl sharing last 200g beef.... This restaurant is good for the group of 2or 4 people. I will not recommend for more than 6 people as the space is small and quiet. Also they do not accept birthday celebrations.

Decent shabu shabu restaurant. Not easy to find using GPS because their phone is not listed on the map. And they give you a free drink if you like them on social media so they are very popular because of good marketing. Reservations are necessary because of the crowd, I've seen folks get turned away. But very good service and interesting toy for you to use to call for service 🐖

Yea the tortillas are great since they’re fried, also they were very friendly and kind so bonus point for both, however they need to melt the cheese and also keep the sauce hot, (if they ever read this review I would suggest putting the cheese on the tortilla right after it’s fried then putting it face down on an oiled grill. But still great taste. Also the signed said closed but they still served takeout orders on the right side. Also there’s only beef and chicken tacos which is AMAZING, (no pork 👍)

Seems like they're only open for takeout The chicken tacos are what you need to get 🔥🔥🔥 Tried the taco rice and chicken and beef tacos and they were all delicious but the chicken tacos were standout. The taco shells are perfectly crisp which contrast the fresh and crisp tomatoes and lettuce combined with the well seasoned chicken/beef makes for a delicious taco. The taco rice was also delicious but I personally think the ingredients work better for a taco than the rice. This place is cash only

Initially stopped by this place months ago but it was closed—changed hours not listed on google. Since I live far, I stated next time I’m in town this would be one of my first stops! And boy am I glad I caught this place yesterday. Highly advise checking out their instagram handle for business updates. Learned they no longer do dining-in; everything is order through the take-out window. Also, please remember CASH ONLY (¥) as the person in front of me had to go get some cash. They have a bench you can sit on outside but it’ll only hold about 3 small people. I decided to waited in my car to beat the Oki heat. I’ve been to a few taco spot on island and this will be included in my top 5. The tacos were full, flavorful and I wished I ordered more after my last bite. I also ordered roasted thighs as I didn’t think my taco would be enough/filling. As you can see from the photo it was seasoned well, and juicy. Not sure if the included sauce was for the tacos or thighs nonetheless, I placed some on the taco and that subtle kick of heat set my taco up another notch! Theses two items met my expectations as from other experiences I left wanted something else. If you’re in the Nago area along rt.58 make the trip/detour, you won’t regret it!

Because of covid 19, only takeout was available. We ordered one whole grilled chicken and 6 tacos (3 chicken, 3 beef; I preferred the chicken). The tacos come with a spicy chili sauce or ketchup. We were told that the wait would be 30 or 40 minutes but still decided to wait. We got what we ordered in 15 minutes! Back to the hotel, we feasted. Beware garlic haters: there's a lot of it on the chicken. Overall, very good, the chicken is not dry, well seasoned and delicious but have wetties on hand 'cause you'll need them. Would go again if nearby.

Delicious!!!! Ordered 2 beef and 1 chicken tacos. And 1 chicken rice. Tacos were delicious, especially with their salsa which they provide. Chicken rice was a bit bland and I would say boring but good after adding ketchup and salsa. I would suggest chicken cheese rice as I saw 2 locals gorge themselves and it looked phenomenal. Park next door at huge drugstore parking lot. Would eat here again and would recommend. These 2 meals plus a big mug of Orian beer = about 1800 yen. Totally worth it. 3 tacos is 660 yen. The chicken rice was medium size and 680 yen. Large is 780.

A&W is a fast-food chain known for its root beer, burgers, chicken, and fries. The outlet is relatively small compared to other A&W restaurants. Despite its size, the service is quick and the staff are friendly and polite. Customers can enjoy comfort food like refillable root beer floats. While it may be a bit pricier than other nearby restaurants, it's still a great spot to satisfy cravings for classic fast-food fare.
I was amazed to see an A&W here in Nago. The service was great and very friendly! The overall ambience of the place felt retro and like a classic, old, A&W. The food was also delicious and affordable. I‘d recommend if you‘re in the mood for A&W and in Nago.

I stumbled upon the restaurant さくら食堂 on a weekday and was pleasantly surprised by the efficient service, delectable cuisine, and an atmosphere reminiscent of a casual eatery for single middle-aged men. We wandered in late on a weekday but we found good service, great food, and an ambiance I could only describe as bachelor greasy spoon. Virtually every client was a single middle age dude, it was like we found where the cab drivers ate. (Translated by Google) I stopped by for the first time. It has an unusual appearance with a vaulted roof. There was also plenty of parking. That's helpful. Cash only. Inside the store, there are pictures of movies from the 1950s and 1960s, and the two ladies pass them around. There are tables for several people, and a counter for one person. It certainly looks like a coffee shop with the image of an old mountain hut. Retro. You can choose the spiciness of your curry from 5 levels. I'm 5 spicy. The taste is sweet and spicy with a hint of spice. It was so spicy that it made my lips hurt a little, but I could also feel the sweetness. If you have ever eaten Indian curry in Osaka, you will notice that it is a little less sweet and has more spiciness. Although there was no fresh cream in it, it was a delicious curry. I'm glad that the curry tastes like it comes from a long-established curry specialty restaurant rather than the hotel's curry. Pickled rakkyo, fukujinzuke, and green chopped yak. Classic and authentic. I've been coming to Nago for work for over 10 years, but I kind of regret not coming here before (lol). Yakiniku restaurant
Barbecue restaurant
Noodle shop
The yakiniku restaurant, 焼肉こうちゃん(名護), offers delicious and affordable pork dishes. It is recommended to make reservations in advance as walk-ins may be turned away. The menu includes a variety of meats and seafood, along with beer, pickles, and other drinks for a reasonable price. Their okinawan rice with seaweed is particularly tasty.
This is an affordable bbq place in the north. Not only was the wagyu and agu pork good, i found the prices extremely palatable, especially for the set. The Value extends to seafood, which was of surprisingly great quality. It is a charcoal grill, which is the best part for me. Nothing beats charcoal grilled, good quality meat. Parking is easy right outside. Please visit if you stay in the north!!!

The staff were extremely kind. They didn’t speak English but went out of their way to try to help. The meats were very tender and delicious. They had a QR code for their ordering and had an English translated version which helped a lot. Thank you!

Me and my wife stopped in from Pineapple Park. Literally its just across the street. The quality of meats were great. We ate just enough to where we weren't super full. They use real charcoal so you meals have a beautiful char and great smokey flavor. Would recommend if you're up towards Nago area.

Great Wagyu beef, best is the Deluxe Tongue. The rice with scallions and egg is very tasty too. Must book to be sure to have a table.

Delicious, value for money pork yakiniku place. We celebrated a birthday there and made reservations in advance and thankfully we did as after we were seated, some walk ins were turned away. A full spread of meats and seafood with beer, pickles and drinks for 11,121 yen for 5 people can’t be beat! Order their okinawan rice with seaweed, it’s so good we had 2 bowls each.

This Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) is just minutes walk away from Pineapple Park. If you are driving, they have ample parking spaces. Seating arrangement is comfortable and family friendly. The price is reasonable for the quality of meat they offer. They start to get busy after 6pm. A must try if you are in the area!

Friendly service. English menu is available. We had lunch here and took Ala carte menu as we don’t take beef tongue.

Nestled within the Kanucha Bay Hotel, 沖縄料理の店 くすくす is a delightful izakaya that stands out as the sole Okinawan dining option in the resort. Its convenient location makes it an ideal spot for guests, especially since there are no other eateries nearby. Open late into the night, it's perfect for unwinding with family over refreshing Orion beer and tasty snacks after a day of adventures.
(Translated by Google) I was able to eat a variety of Okinawan gourmet foods. I mainly stayed at hotels, but I also tried dishes such as bitter gourd champuru and soki soba along with Orion beer. It goes well with awamori and other drinks, so all of them seem to go well with sake.

(Translated by Google) The only Okinawan restaurant in Kanucha Resort. It can be a little strange to come to Okinawa and only eat Okinawan food, so the good thing about this place is that they don't take reservations and you can just pop in on the spot. The menu is full of things you'd think of as Okinawan cuisine, and at best it's on point, at worst it's a restaurant that doesn't seem to be particular about it. For example, Gurukun's deep-fried chicken is well-fried, but the way the meat is cut and the sauce isn't very tasty. The other dishes were delicious, but I felt like they could have gone a step further.

They're open until late at night, so you can have a family get-together over Orion beer and snacks to end the day. Although it's priced at the hotel, everything is delicious, so I highly recommend it. They don't take reservations and are only open in the evenings, so if you're going for dinner, I recommend lining up a little early. (Translated by Google) The food is delicious but a little pricey, but it can't be helped since it's a hotel. The menu is limited, though. It's not the restaurant's fault, but there was a family group of about 8 men who were drunk and excited and shouting and singing, so they came out quickly. I think the staff should give them a bit of a warning.

(Translated by Google) I always stay here on the first night of my stay at Kanucha Resort. Up until now, the prices were high, like resort prices, but I liked the fact that I could eat a lot of different things. Even if you can't help but raise the price, it's disappointing that there are few menus. If you don't have all-you-can-drink alcohol, you can't drink anything other than beer and awamori. Even if you say it will increase, it will only increase highball and shochu. Very disappointed. However, the taste is still delicious The Fu Chanpuru I ate for the first time was especially good. In addition, I ordered Gurukun fried chicken, Mimiga, and Soki soba.

(Translated by Google) I visited this restaurant when my family stayed at Kanucha Resort. The sea grapes here are the best. The jimami tofu and salt-fried noodles were also so delicious that they were gone in no time. I'm surprised it isn't rated higher. It's true that it's a little pricey and the menu is on the smaller side for an izakaya, but the high quality and quantity make it understandable. I'd definitely return, so I'm giving it 5 stars. (Translated by Google) The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. However, the older female staff member's attitude was not very friendly. My child had a fever during a family trip, so I went with my daughter because I didn't want to inconvenience the restaurant. My son was sick and my wife was waiting to take him home, so I ordered extra to take home. I ate about half of it and tried to get a takeaway pack, but they said they couldn't. I thought maybe they didn't have any packs, so I said aluminum foil or plastic wrap would be fine, but they said no. ...? You can tell that's not enough for just my daughter and me, right? And the reason? Because if it spoils, they won't let it go, and there wasn't a single living thing in it? ??? I thought to myself, and explained the reason, but they said no. Honestly, this was my fourth time eating Kanucha, so I was very disappointed. If they had said at the beginning that they don't offer takeaway, it would have been different. For now, I'm feeling a bit sick, so I'm hoping that I'll feel better in the future. The taste was good overall.

Hotel Yugaf Inn Okinawa offers modest rooms, some with balconies, and is a down-to-earth hotel featuring a buffet restaurant and a bar. It's an oceanfront hotel that serves as an ideal base for visiting numerous sightseeing spots including the famous Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and Nakijin Castle ruins. The clean rooms are spacious, and guests can enjoy an above-average Japanese breakfast in this quiet location at an affordable price.
Stayed in the Executive Twin and it was really spacious. Breakfast was good too. Do not thrift and stay in the small twin room. The executive twin is really recommended!

Worst breakfast ever. 2 towers of rooms and only 30 seat breakfast area. Ridiculous mismanagement and planning for breakfast. Never in my life had i had to wait to get breakfast in a hotel. Stay away if you are reserving hotel for breakfast buffet option. Never staying here again. Hotel needs to do better!

Stayed at the Executive Room (without ocean view) for a night. The room is clean and spacious. Excellent reception service as the receptionist tried their best to answer our queries with some basic english and put in effort in translation. Convenient location with half an hour drive to Churaumi Aquarium. Location is great at Nago, with 10min drive to Aeon Mall, Yamabuki and Shinzan Soba (recommended!). Parking during January was okay due to non peak period. Breakfast is 7-10am. Went for a stroll at the opposite park with great Ocean view and people playing water sports.

good location, near the bus and around some great food places too. we ended up eating and lawsons the entire time cause of lines being long and having to book reservation at another restaurant. they dont have an onsen, but the hotel does have an ominous feeling especially if you are walking by yourself to your room (i just watch a lot of horror movies). they use a actual key to the doors and i found it a little hard to open the door so just be aware of that. id come back here though. bus system in this side were pretty good

It’s great to stay there. We had spent two nights there and it’s amazing. The hotel is near the beach and local restaurants. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Among them, one of the front staff, Mr. Darpan, helped us a lot to find nice restaurants for dinners and live music. Thank you everyone, we will definitely come again.

Booked a sea view room. Such a beautiful view of the ocean that made it worth staying here. You can also watch the baseball players practice on the pitch. Room is a little outdated and the beds are on the FIRM side, but the room is quite large. Not much insulation so if the neighbours are loud, you can hear them through the front door. Towels and water bottles are changed daily. Free parking at the back and side of the hotel, definitely hire a car to travel around Okinawa. There's a restaurant behind the hotel which has awesome food. Lawson is next door.

If you're looking for the best soba in Okinawa, make sure to take note of Yae Shokudo. This place offers a focused menu that revolves around their delicious soba noodles and juicy rice on the side. You only need to decide between small (S) or large (L) size portions. For just 800 yen, you'll be treated to a satisfying meal that will leave your belly full and your taste buds amazed.
The Okinawa Soba served was wonderful. The meats tasted good. Its a small shop and we see locals come and go during meal time. Run by a nice elder lady who don't speak other language than Japanese. But she was patience to listen to your order. They served 2 type of Soba and 1 type of Japanese mixed steamed rice. The soba soup was addictive. There paid parking outside the shop. The internal decoration remains old school. Interesting.

Very grateful our companions found this hidden gem. Must try if you are in the area. Very light refreshing broth which was great on a hot and humid day, and the meat was so tender it fell apart easily, then melted when placed into the mouth. The meat had its own rich flavor which paired seamlessly with the easy going broth. It was very affordable, even when adding on a large beer. Thank you very much!!

This place was recommended by a friend who lives in Okinawa. I hesitated a little to enter the restaurant because of its outside vibes (narrow aile, paid parking nearby, lots of snack bars, etc.) However I am super glad to dine in here. The old lady was very kind to explain each noodle bowl. It was my first time trying Soki soba, and I loved it! I The meat was extremely tender and juicy. I was sad that jusee rice was sold out. Anyway, super recommended!

If you are finding a place to savor the best soba in Okinawa, please save this place right down. Just writing the review now for this place while I’m back in Tokyo is making my mouth water. The menu is very focused here and they mainly serve just the soba and you can have that with a side of juicy rice. That’s it. The only next decision you need to make is S or L size. For ¥800 yen you can get your belly filled and your mind blown. I am definitely coming back here for great chewy bouncy noodles with the umami broth that goes with it.

Delicious flat noodles. The broth is in a kettle, so you can add as much as you want and replenish. The pork melts in your mouth. A plain and simple no-frills noodle joint. If I lived in Nago I'd probably eat lunch there on at least four days out of seven.

If you're a fan of Okinawa Soba noodles, don't miss out on 玉家 Jr., a popular spot among locals and tourists alike. To avoid the crowds, it's best to arrive early. They offer various types of Soba, which can be ordered and paid for using a ticket vending machine. During my visit for lunch around noon, I opted for the Soki Soba (generous portions) at a reasonable price.
A simple bowl of Okinawa noodles. Noodles are springy and the soup have a simple taste, meat is tender and sweet. Definitely recommended for a quick lunch of local noodles.

Had the Okinawa Soba and 1 pigs foot on the side. medium size. You have to pay in a machine and get a ticket. You can pick between 2 types of noodles thin or flat. It was filling and tasted good. The soup was very good but not super strong. The pigs foot was very good and I really liked their technique of making it. The servers were courteous and the restaurant was clean. I enjoyed eating here as it was late in the afternoon and most Soba places sell out around or after lunchtime. It’s a good local spot but you get some tourists too. Just the average Soba place what you would expect no frills just decent food.

There are several types of Soba available and, orders are placed by selecting and paying via a ticket vending machine. We arrived shortly before noon for lunch and had the Soki Soba (large orders) which were plentiful and reasonably priced. Meals are delicious and service was expedient. Waitresses are helpful if, you have difficulty placing an order and will politely assist you. There were surprisingly many seats in the store, about 4 raised seats and 5 table seats. I went into the restaurant, sat down, and if it was okay, I bought a meal ticket and sat down. (The clerk will give you instructions) There was no children's menu, so we split a large portion of soba for each adult. After that, we also have juicy Inari rice. The meat was tender and delicious, and the Yushi tofu was large and filling and delicious. The soup was refreshing but the stock was strong and I drank almost all of it😂✨ Did it take 5 minutes to serve? It was so quick that I was hooked! The rotation is fast, and even if it's crowded, you might be able to get the next one in about 30 minutes. We bought a meal ticket and took a seat, and it took about 30 minutes including waiting time and eating time! (Translated by Google) [Eat up all the life in Yanbaru with Nobuta on the southern island❗460] One year and one month have passed since I started working at the Nago branch, and it's the last day of the second Golden Week. As usual, the weather continues to be such that I think we have entered the rainy season in the middle of Golden Week, but although there has been no declaration from the Japan Meteorological Agency, the heavy rain in the middle of the night stopped by the morning, and the weather has cleared up. Although I was a little late, I jogged around the city in the morning and arrived at Tamaya in Umosa Forest at exactly 10:30. This place opens at 10:30 a.m., so brunch is served as morning soba (Okinawa soba). I've always wondered why it's called Junior rather than ◯◯ Branch, but it's actually a branch of Tamaya in Haebaru, Toyosaki, etc. At nobuta, I really like Kamehama Seimen, so I'm a fan of Tamaya, where the soup stock is rich and the meat is well-cooked, but I hadn't visited the Nago store yet. After all, I'm a citizen of Nago, so I should attack and defeat the Okinawa soba shop of Sankakuya Seimen before I eat it (lol). It seems like the Okinawa soba restaurants in Nago have almost been conquered, so let's indulge in Kamehama Seimen. When I entered the store and looked at the types of noodles lined up on the desk, I found out that at this branch, in addition to Kamehama Seimen, you can also choose from Sankakuya Seimen's flat noodles. Mixed soba (large) 850 yen I decided to eat it. I had a memorable meal at Tamaya about a year before I transferred to Nago, and I've always loved Kamehama Seimen, so I knew the texture before I ate it. The mix here is also good for the simmered meat and soki! ️ After all, it has a stable taste. Now, it looks like I can devote myself to Sankakuya Seimen for the remaining 11 months (lol) It was delicious. Thank you for the meal❗️❗️ (Original) 【のぶたと南の島生活inやんばるを食べ尽くせ❗460】 名護支店には赴任してから1年と1ヵ月が経過し2回目のGW最終日。

Okinawa soba...it's truly a deep and complex cuisine. Over the past few decades, the number of delicious places has increased. This is one of those delicious restaurants. When I asked Tamaya in Nanjo City, they said they only wholesale the noodles and aren't directly involved, but the light broth and chewy noodles are amazing. You can choose between thick and thin noodles, but thin noodles are hard to find in the north, so I always go for the thin ones. You can enjoy the flavors of a famous restaurant in the southern region while in Nago. I definitely recommend everyone to try it. Thank you for the meal 😋 (Original)
