Historic building with quite delicious food. Children meal has vegetables with like strong curry spices, that wasn’t delicious to them, portions are small. Fish was ok, mustard sauce wasn’t my favourite. Steak was delicious, fried potatoes too. Chanterelle and potatoe soup was tasty, but very small size. Bread was the usual, not home made, neither warm. Prices are quite high for what you get. Overall nice experience but better not to have high expectations for food.

A “posh” place with history. Need to book in advance as it’s quite occupied in rush hours. I highly recommend its Labskaus which is the best that I tried in Hamburg and Lübeck. It’s kinda costy as you can easily spend over €50 per person. But still, excellent food and vibe!

If you’ve travelled to Lübeck like me to soak in as much medieval fairytale vibes as you can, then a visit to Schiffergesellschaft is a must. This is a preserved and restored Shipmaster/ Seaman/ Captains Guildhall from 1535. The menu comes with a historical overview of this guild and how it survives to this day. The interior is simply medieval maritime charm. I tried my first Labskaus here - a traditional north german dish for fisherman made with corned beef mashed with potatoes and beets, served with a sunny fried egg and classically accompanied with pickles, pickled herring, onions and beets. I loved it. My main I ordered something off their specials menu, Plaice Finkenerder style. Bacon crisped up and rendered, the fat is then used to cook the bed of cabbage and a tender plaice fillet crisped to perfection. It’s accompanied by parsley potatoes - simple and delicious. I enjoyed it all with a light beer. I hope to visit again someday!

This is such a fantastic place. Restaurant serving typical North German fare in a setting that couldn't be better suited. The house used to house the Shipowners Guild. Good qualify food. A bit pricey, although by no means extreme. And taking in the atmosphere, friendly service and quality and quantity of food you get - it is warmly recommended.

The products in the store were tasty, but the souvenirs were ridiculously expensive. The cafe itself was decent, but the waiting time was insane — 15 minutes just to have someone take our order, and another 15 minutes to bring the bill. The service was lacking, and nothing exceptional stood out. The building is beautiful, though, and the interior is nice.

Nice cafe, main store of the popular German brand of marzipans. Not the cheapest, and products cost the same in a supermarket and that should not be the case. Long queue to pay. Nice selection of cakes to enjoy in the cafe, you select the one you want from the display, they give you a ticket and then when you order from the waiter they will bring the cake.

Café Niederegger is a great place to stop when visiting Lübeck. It’s right on the main street and easy to find. The cakes are delicious. prices are a bit higher, but worth it. You can enjoy coffee, buy gifts, and visit the small marzipan museum upstairs. A fun and tasty stop in the city.

What really stood out to me was the hot chocolate — rich, creamy, and topped with real chocolate shavings. Even on a weekday afternoon (around 1:30 pm), the café was quite busy, which shows how popular it is. Despite the rush, the staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Lübeck!

I tried their famous marzipan cheesecake, which was a true delight - creamy, rich, and with that distinct marzipan flavour that Niederegger is renowned for. Although a bit pricey for the small slice (around €6-8), the experience of enjoying a slice in this historic café is worth it. The elegant, traditional setting of the café, with its marzipan-filled displays, makes it a must-visit. Be sure to check out the marzipan museum too (free of charge) one floor above, to learn more about what they are popular for.

The initial welcome from one staff member was not so warm as we didn't have a reservation, it felt like we were an inconvenience. We sat happily in the beer garden, lucky to be under an umbrella and out of the rain unlike some other tables. Once seated the food, drink and service were good.

The basement is touristy with replicas of historical objects. The kitchen closes at 10. No food after that. Small garden but lot of places inside on 3 levels.

We have been coming here for the last 15 years. Over the years the quality of the food has been declining. This time was the worst. The schnitzel Wiener Art was really dry and almost looked like is was not home made and some of the fried potatoes were not even cooked through properly. All of us were really disappointed. This was the last time we will visit unfortunately.

A great restaurant by the Untertrave river. Great quality food, well presented dishes, excellent service and environment. They also have good drinks and even produce some of the alcohol themselves. I've had other good dishes there, but the Salmon Burger is specially good! Totally recommend.

A popular fish place. I came at 17:30 and managed to get a table without reservation. Staffs are friendly. I ordered a nordic starter with Kiel fish, cod & chips and a small beer and it costed €50. The dishes are fine but I would expect better considering the price. They provide vinegar too for the fish & chips (in case you want it as UK style.. like me). Btw, they have a take away place across the street as well.

The battered fish is really good. It changes how I think about fish and chips! I was initially like "Fried fish? Everybody can do that!", and after I took a bite "Holy. This is so good. The fish is juicy, is not fishy, and so flavorful!" I agree with other comments that the price on the steep side, but I am glad the food performance met the high expectation from the high price. Very nice. I sat at the terrace, ordered my stuff and got it in less than 10 minutes. Definitely try rotbier and their dishes I could find free tables at 18:00 on a public holiday, you should be fine expecting a free seat. Nice view of the city too

So I took a chili burger and it's the best burger I've ever eaten in Germany. I visited this place a couple of times and the food was exceptional every time, house made fries are also very delicious, service is very nice, atmosphere is great and very chill. It can be hard to get a table on weekends without a reservation but that really speaks more about the overall quality of the place. There is no such thing as German food really so if you're nearby anyway get a burger and go walk around beautiful Lübeck happy and with a full stomach. 😁 (Around 20 euro per person)

I’ve been living in Germany for almost 7 years and this is straight THE best burger by all means. I had the Crunchy Beef and my bro got a Cheese Burger and both were exceptional. Also the juices were truly amazing too - we got Red Ginger and Green Ginger and we were like WWOOOOWWW from the first sip to the very last. Totally give this place a try if you visited Lübeck. The service staff are really nice even though they cant really speak in English. The pan fish was simply divine! The fish was fresh and silky paired with chunky mash potato. The vegetables on the top add a nice freshness to cut through the heaviness of the creamy sauce and oily fish. Also ordered herring with potato pancakes. The pancakes were good but really heavy, so it works well with the pickles and other pickled vegetables. The dark beer was really good! Very light with a hint of caramel and malt notes at the end - the aftertaste was a lot like rooibos. If you like beer but you arent a fan of the bitterness, this is a great choice! Overall a great experience, highly recommend!

Excellent food! Long wait. We arrived around 5pm, where only 2 others were in the restaurant. And we still had to wait nearly 45 minutes for our food to arrive, after ordering it. While waiting, a family of 4 came in, ordered their food, got it and nearly finished eating before ours came. Our waiter served the family, sitting right next to us, and didn't even glance at us or tell us to have patience for our food. When I asked for the bill, nearly 10 minutes went by before I could pay. So the place is Cosy, the food is excellent, but the waiting time could be better. Would not eat there at rush hour.

The food was ok but not great. The baked potatoe was the most highly rated in our family. Some other dishes were cold. We were put off by the fact that special wishes cost 1€ extra. The waitresses were also not willing to put 2 tables next to each other for our larger group although there would have been enough space. Toilets were clean. The best part about the place is the building and ambience.

We went to the Ratskeller Lübeck for lunch on Saturday, it was a warm welcome and we were shown to the "Klookschietereck". A room full of history, just like the rest of the Ratskeller. Today we visited your bar for the first time. I had been eyeing it during my vacation, and we finally decided to stop by for a glass of wine and a snack. We initially ordered the artichokes with pesto verde, and my husband ordered the garlic baguette. The waiter asked if he wanted it with or without pesto, and we clearly said WITHOUT. Later, it turned out we were served sourdough bread instead of a baguette. Apparently, there’s just sourdough bread with or without pesto – we were not heard, but we didn’t bother mentioning it anymore. Then my artichokes arrived – without pesto. They were simply fermented artichokes with spices (the pink peppercorns were really overpowering – not a fan). Later, I reread the menu and saw it clearly said pesto verde. A combination of various mushroom with special sauce was very tasty. A cocktail in a rage of 9-11 Euros. The food was very good, the Spanish pizza was the highlight, with a great combination of beef, cheese and marmalade, the giant ravioli were unique and the pasta with beef was well made, but besides the pizza which was fairly priced at 12,00 the other dishes were overpriced to our taste, considering portions and all in all worth. Wine glass at 10,00 was also somewhat exaggerated, so had those prices were 10-20% lower, we'd find it more adequate. Service was partly professional, by one (seem to be main) waiter, but a secondary waiter has served food touching it with his fingers, which is practically unacceptable... Atmosphere is pleasant, décor is vivid and vintage style. Reservation is advised, in case you want the upper restaurant.

We recently visited Schumachers for the first time in years to use a gift certificate we had received. It was exactly as I remembered. The food was good, but nothing special. I expected more for the price. The service was very attentive, but almost to a fault. Every couple minutes we were interrupted. We sat upstairs, where there are four small tables crowded together in a tiny space. All the tables were occupied and we felt very observed, aware that everyone in the tiny room could hear our every word. It was uncomfortable. Our evening ended on a particularly sour note when we asked for the check and handed over our gift certificate. A few minutes later, we were smugly informed that the gift certificate -- which we received during COVID and did not include an expiration date -- had expired and the restaurant refused to accept it. Ugh. Needless to say, we will not be going back to Schlumachers.

Quite nice. Delicious food, only didn’t really like the desert. Fish was raw inside although I asked to make it well done. Otherwise good impression. Beautiful atmosphere.

Excellent. We had to eat very quickly and the two ladies have been very kind and efficient. The food was delicious.

When we decided to have dinner at Restaurant Vai we had checked their homepage and was interested in the 3 course menu at the price of 50 euros. We were surprised when we sat at the table and looked through the menu once again. It said 69 euros for the 3 course menu. A bit of a difference. Anyway we took the 3 course menu and hoped for something nice. We had at first a sallad (Blattsalate mit kohlrabbicarpaccio und ziegenkäsecreme) which really wasn´t anything special. Then the doradenfilet & scampi. Didn´t taste much and seemed quite ordinary. The dessert was crème brûlée which was super disappointing. We´ve had crème brûlée many, many times before in other restaurants. It seemed as it had been prepared by an amateur. First of all it was ice cold including the crème under the surface. No traces of vanilla what so ever. Totally tasteless. The chef should really be ashamed to serve a crème brülée like this. We had four glasses of wine to go with the menu and when we got the tab we noticed that an extra 17,50 euro had been added as “trinkgeld”. We have visited several restaurants in Germany during the weeks before our visit in Lübeck and not once been charged “trinkgeld”. We felt that we were regarded as idiots here. We know very well that it´s customary to add “trinkgeld” if you are satisfied, but it is of course up to us as guests to decide the amount. In this case 10% was added by the restaurant. In my world 10% is the amount if you are very content with service and food. That was not the case for us. Adding “trinkgeld” like this is nothing else than cheating the guests. I can easily compare with a neighbour restaurant to Restaurant Vai on the opposite side of Hüxstrasse, Restaurant Miera. We had dinner there the night before. Really nice food and no adding on the tab. We did the adding ourselves by tipping the waiter directly. I think everyone should think twice about visiting this place with overpriced food and wines. There are other options nearby.

This place is an absolute delight of fine dining. Wonderful atmosphere and even better food in this small cosy restaurant. The set menu was amazing on all accounts, presentation, taste and quality of ingredients. The wine menu is extensive and offers high quality choices. There is an option for a la carte and they have a good deal for lunch. In summer they have a lovely garden in the back. An absolute recommendation for a fancy meal.

Overall beautiful Restaurant with very attentive service at the port. It can be recommend. We had a curry soup with Maracuja and small shrimp's, interesting flavors nice presentation and consistency for my taste i can imagine they used Maracuja pulp that took the acidity but made it kind of sweet. The pasta with shrimps was overall good. The sea-trout was very well cooked the risotto with it tasty but overcooked and the horseradish foam to much and not strong enough, but well presented dish. The plaice with bacon strips was very well in taste and cooking pity the roasted potatoes where a bit without love and tasteless. The octopus dish was good, the octopus itself very well cooked and excellent taste, the salad was also very good, the ajoli pity not the punch you would expect and the slice of roasted bread unnecessary. Dessert the cream brulee with bay leaf ice cream was excellent. Overall a nice evening good drinks a bill of 150 euro for 4 person. The restaurant was full full on a Tuesday! Have that in mind and hope you enjoy as much as I did

Fine dining cuisine in a charming room overlooking Lübeck's hafen, Highly recommend. The illuminated map of Newport, Rhode Island seems to highlight the restaurant's namesake; being from Rhode Island myself, I found the place even more special.

We went to NewPort Restaurante for dinner in September. The restaurant was great - we sat outside and it was wonderful. There was a good menu and the meal, itself, was excellent! The staff was very attentive and eager to answer all questions we had about the menu. I would not hesitate to to recommend this restaurant!

I’ve been here for lunch with my boyfriend during our short visit to Lübeck. We both loved the place. The food was good and served timely. The lady who served us was super friendly and gave us a couple of good tips where to go and what to see in the city.

First of all, good atmosphere, nice staff, is located very well and is priced very reasonable (except for the drinks). The food wasn’t anything special though, a lot of sauce, some pickles and „just“ a potato, it didn’t feel like anything extraordinary. I got the spinach and it was alright, and had a good price, but i wouldn’t go again.

Everything is based on potatoes with different toppings. A good concept for simple but tasty food that makes you full. The price is good as well. However, I would like to have even more richness in the taste, and you should not go here if you are in a hurry - it takes some time to get your food.

We came and got menus right away but we had to wait quite a while before we were able to order and we had to wait a while to get our food. My bagel with bacon was tasty! One remark, we asked for a glass of water and the waitress didn't even ask but brought us sparkling water, when I wanted regular water.

Relaxed, delicious food beautifully presented and a funky, chilled environment with friendly service. What more can I ask for? Amazing matcha chai latte (oat milk) ! We came twice to this place during our stay. The pancakes were good 😋 and from what my friend said, the scrambled eggs were exceptional.

We came in August on a weekday morning for a relaxed cup of coffee. It was before 9:30 and very few local cafés were open at that time. We chose to sit inside seating for up to possibly 50 persons. Although there is a smallish recessed seating outside, sidewalk tables are on a bit of a slope, which may feel awkward— but otherwise pleasant. I had a latte macchiato (flavored with a half pump of caramel) which was creamy and delicious. My husband had a cup of white chocolate mocha, which he also enjoyed. The clientele appeared to be both locals and tourists, and we enjoyed seeing children playing quietly inside. I recommend this café and would return if we come back for a visit.

Super chewy Bagel!! We came to have something as snack and loved that we found this place. Bagel itself was amazing, not to mention the stuffed contents in between! We ordered Smoothie which was also very tasty.

The vegan brownie was decent, the Pistachio Matcha Latte however was not great. Service was good though! The matcha was not good quality, seeing as it was a beige light green and it tasted very grassy and nutty but not in a good way. A little disappointed since it sounded so good.

Flying Shanghai noodles was epic. amazingly tasty crispy duck with tasty sauce. I definitely recommend.🙌 Vegetarian sushi - veggie crispy rolls was good too, tasty mango lassi. for desert we ordered tiramisu and it was good. polite and very fast service, beautiful ambiance. My summer rolls and papaya salad were surprisingly good! Everything was fresh, authentic and tasty, far better than many of the Vietnamese restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Really nice place with huge portions. I ordered the butterfish, and what I really loved about this dish is that it came with lots of good veggies such as asparagus, broccoli and snow peas, and not just a massive amount of rice like you normally get in other places, which made the dish a lot healthier and tastier.

The quality of the food here is awesome 👍👍..the quantity is huge...and the taste is really good..you will love the ambience here..I would suggest people to come here if you want to have Vietnamese food...

Very friendly staff, very accomodation. We got the food really quickly which was great as we were really hungry. Loads of salmon in the California roll. The pho was great, we had a coconut curry and flying noodles.

Great asian fusion restaurant. I had on different days nigiri sushi (tuna and anago), some grilled fish and miso soup. I was also with colleagues who were all happy with their meal. The flying noodle dish was especially entertaining. All of us appreciated the amount of food served, and the generous portion of vegetables served with their bowls. Recommended.

We came up with this place because we arrived late and it was the only one that had the kitchen open. Food is really good, with big plates and good variety and quality. The service is also very nice, always smiling and making your stay pleasant. For sure it's a place I would recommend to have dinner if you are staying in Lübeck.

Really good food, atmosphere and service. Quite reasonable prices. Very nice subtle Italian food far removed from a pizza joint. Back again a month later the food was still good, but perhaps less. The menu is more extensive than Italian for example had Zander fish as a main. Prepared in a Nordic fashion with sauce and vegetables.

Pork with toast was something new for me but I liked it. I especially liked the mushrooms that came with it. Recommend this old school place in city center. It's not on the tourist radar, more for locals. Mostly meats, but also some soup, salad and dish dishes. I has currywurst. Service a little slow, but its a small place so it's ok. Dogs welcome inside and out. Friendly staff.

Went for coffee and cake after lunch. My wife had the marzipan cake and loved it while I chose poorly, a cinnamon roll. Nothing wrong with the roll just a bad choice. The actual coffee was good, my wife’s Americano was very good but my cappuccino was below average, i think it was the milk that let it down.

At 9am on a rainy day, this place was just perfect for me. It’s a super cozy and chill place with good coffee and great guacamole bagel. The staff was really sweet too :) Will deffinitely come again when I am in the city!

Kaffeehaus was my absolute favorite cafe in Lübeck, in the past 2 years I go there almost every week to read, to work or to socialize. I love their cakes however cant say the same thing for the drinks anymore. In the past 3 visits unfortunately our drinks were in very poor taste and quality. My husband loves Americano however it was way too sour than normal and even though we asked some milk ( twice actually) we ended up not getting it. My last order was iced matcha latte, it came with only 3 ice cubes ( almost no matcha inside at all) and they melted so quick and the drink was very warm and watery. I asked some more ice and ended up getting another 3 ice cubes 🥲And last time we waited for our cakes almost until we finished our drinks- again we friendly reminded service staff in case they forget , she kind of give us eye rolls. I am so sad but I don’t think I will visit there anymore. I love they always have young staff and good environment right in the heart of the town however I am not getting what I am paying for anymore.

The food and coffee choice is pretty good, the place is located in the nice area. On the downside: The roots of feld salat weren't washed. I could still see the dirt on them. There were no napkins on the table (common issue with German restaurants). They forgot to bring bacon to my eggs so I had to wait for about 10 minutes while they were getting cold. Things to consider guys :)

My total experience with this place is top, very cozy and very nice meal, everything was fresh, and cooked to the perfection I had a felafel Burger with Pommes, I have to mention the Pommes is also used with fresh potatoes. My only criticism for this restaurant was the dips and the decorations. The dips was not even meet quality, it was a taste less and not tasting good. And also the decorations is very much out dated.

Really nice vegetarian Restaurant! They offer a great variety of vegetarian food on their menu. They also have really nice drinks like different fruit juice spritzer! The staff is really friendly, but sometimes the orders take a bit too long till you can finally enjoy the great food! The nice outdoor area with sunny as well as shady places makes up for the waiting time, though. The atmosphere is really relaxed and it is a nice place to enjoy some great food!

Nice place, delicious organic vegetarian food. Been there twice, both times for dinner. There are marvelous salads, veggie burgers and other things. Also I am determined to try the cakes one day, they look really tasty, but after dinner I was just fill.

Wonderful flat bread style pizza straight from flames of the oven. It is crispy and smoky as it is, and the toppings are alowed to come to life on their own. Many different kind of cheeses top the creations, and each is as tasty as the next! This restaurant is a perfect lunch place. The outdoor seating is where you want to be on a hot summer day. I highly recommend it.

Hungry in old town Luebeck? Easy to spot, quick uncomplicated fare and it's super tasty too. Stopped in for a cold beer (a "Vollbier", meaning a whole beer, with a full and complete taste) and some original German style flame fired flat breads. These are thin, simple and customizable personal size healthy yet tasty pizza alternatives.

Very nice Flammkuchen with the right amount of ingredients and a thin layer of dough base. Not soaked in onions like other Flammkuchen. It's off the busy tourist spots in a quite side street.

This was truly a very special evening.The restaurant is beautiful. Service is relaxed, there was often the sound of laughter from the kitchen, and the team clearly have fun working together to produce clever food and a memorable evening for their guests. Tasting menu and wines were perfectly paired. Nothing gimmicky, nothing gratuitous - simply artful combinations of flavours well presented. The chef, who is deservedly ambitious for a star, lets the food - which is locally sourced - speak for itself, but he adds inventive flair and creativity to make each course really sing. We had the great pleasure of chatting with the chef for some while after dinner (we forgive him for supporting the wrong football team) and were delighted to be joined by Johanna Berger. It was a memorable evening and we felt very lucky to have spent time with talented professionals who are clearly passionate about their work. If ever you are in Lübeck, do go, you won’t be disappointed.

In my opinion, a restaurant experience is first and foremost about the food and then ambience and service add a nuance. Having said this, the dream team of Chefs Johanna and Jamel are producing excellence from local ingredients to the extent I have only experienced at the 1* establishment of Wullenwever a short walk from here. We decided on a 3-course Surprise Menu and one 3-course à la carte combination, both with the standard wine "journey", and both of us were thrilled by the variety, presentation, and taste of every morsel. Nothing on those plates was boring, the portion sizes were generous, and the wines were exceptional (even including a beautiful 1993 red). Needless to say, we were very impressed and left with a wish to return. On this balmy Lübeck evening, we decided to sit outside, and while the interior spaces are wonderful, the exterior could do with a bit more decor. If, as is likely, this restaurant aspires to Michelin stardom, then that might be the only aspect needing a little work. With flawless service, culinary excellence, and a price point that would make the drive from Hamburg a worthwhile endeavor, I give Johanna and Jamel my highest recommendation!

Very good experience, finally found good , not overcooked food in Lübeck. Meat was melting in the mouth. Nice service. Charming dog :) I was completely full with 3-course menu.

Ok food but defintely not Michelin standard and the waiter didn't know anything about the food or wine. When recieving the bill the waiter had added his "Trinkgeld" (Tips) without approval. Not ok.

Cosy italian bistro. Food however is basic. The pizza is not italian style, and the pizza dough feels fake. Simple but nice wine. Weird feeling in stomach afterwards.

The lasagna bolognese was delicious! Apfelschorle had the fizz that I always look for in Schorlw. The service was also great. You get this cozy Italian resto feel in the middle of Lübeck when you visit this place.

Very friendly staff who explained the menu to me when I didn't understand the different sauces. Cosy, big portions (photos are already half eaten!) which are worth the price (7-12 Euros). Big enough to share between two people with small appetites. Would come again.

We were şn Lubeck for a day trip and tried their pizza. It was delicious and they have a friendly atmosphere.

I came there last summer. The restaurant looks nice from outside and the inside is kind of rustic (which is nice from my point of view). First surprise, the waitress was clearly annoyed we came in. It felt like she didn't want us to eat there. Still we stayed and looked at the menu. After a little while, the waitress came and asked unpleasantly what we wanted and if we wanted to drink. We ordered pizza and pasta. The food was not good, not bad. The waitress stayed the same all time long. I was shocked by her behavior. We paid and left without the normal tips. I won't recommend that place

Really wanted to like this place, unfortunately it just didnt live up to the ratings. I visited twice. First time, I had to wait almost 2 hours for my food. The second time, I had to wait over an hour and the food was just not good. I had odered a carbonara and as you can see in the photo, it wasn't done properly and the eggs had split. Waiting over an hour to two hours, with sub par food and bad communication. Ja, sorry.

Stumbled on this place today. While I was talking to my daughter about what to order, the cook came out of the kitchen and started explaining the specials. When I told him that my daughter was vegetarian, he asked if he could put something together that he liked (he was a vegetarian himself). Both my daughter's and my meals were fantastic. I visited with my 15 year old son and we had fried goat cheese as the appetizer, the tagliatelle and the Bolognese. Goat cheese is my son's favorite, so I only had a bite and I and found it okay - not great, but sadly it didn't make me immediately change restaurants. Unfortunately the appetizer was soon followed by the main courses and I gave up on the tagliatelle after the first bite. My son gratuitously offered to switch dishes with me but unfortunately the Bolognese wasn't much better. At that point I decided that the experience was not worth the calories and told my son that he can have both dishes. True to being a growing 15 year old he had both, but when later asked whether he liked it, he shrugged and said "No, but I didn't want the food go to waste" - this coming from a teenager that finds school cafeteria food great... As to the size of the dishes - the appetizer and two main courses had filled him up enough that he refused to share the donair I had for my supper. I'm surprised that the place brings in enough business to afford the rent and shocked at a reasonable review score.

It was a very nice meal! But the waitress didn't come to our table until we fetched her, but she came to the people who sat down after us without them having to call on her. I hope it wasn't a racial thing. Otherwise, a pleasant experience.

I've always done some research and try whatever I can whenever I can, but this place was the first place I have been that I have not added anything to my meal. No extra soy sauce, not salt, nothing. My wife wasn't too happy with me getting involved but I couldn't help myself.

My mom and I came in exhausted after a day exploring Lübeck’s Christmas markets and churches. We wished to sit drink a few cold drinks before continuing to our hotel. It turned out that they were cash only and we only had credit cards, but they were so very sweet to insist we drink our drinks and sit in the warmth of their restaurant. Such kindness was much appreciated. Although we didn’t try anything, the food looked and smelled delicious!

You had to share a toilet with others in the accommodation, including a shower. Breakfast was supposed to be included, something we didn't get. A note to people booking that just because it says maximum capacity four doesn't mean four people who normally don't sleep in the same bed will be comfortable (some beds are shared more or less). We had a school trip here and we didn't have sufficient personal space in my view because it was booked by max room capacity not the beds themselves. Seems some beds are designed for families or couples. A bit different than other hostels where there are individual twin beds for each person. There were also no guardrails on some of the loft beds.

We stayed here as a group and we loved it! The hostel has “personality”. The rooms are spacious and schick!! It is nearby everything and very easy to locate. Just a reminder it is on a pub street so it gets loud at night. No problem if you can sleep thru noise.

Super cool concept, super nice hostel. The specific room I booked had privacy curtains, which I quite appreciated. Two 24/7 kitchens, big bathrooms, nice staff. Due to the parties which occur a few nights of the week/end, this might be a loud stay during hot Summer nights, but the insulated windows absolutely block the noise out.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are big and clean, we had a great breakfast and the service was friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic. It is for us an 'alternative' place, nothing is uniformed there and you can come dressed as you like. We felt like the straight guys in the street, but really enjoyed it. Will visit again!

Got a burger at this restaurant, which can not be recommended. The meat was rather dry and the burger was in gereral tasteless though i added bacon and cheese. On the positive side the staff was very kind and offered very good and kind service. The staff deserves better, but I came here to eat and was not satisfied at all.

This place was so good that I ended up eating here three times in the week I stayed in Lübeck. Lovely barbecued kebabs with a smoky taste, and not ruined by red cabbage or sweet sauces like many kebabs in Germany. The hummous and tabbouleh were also great. The staff were very friendly too.

What an experience! I am not an expert on vegan food by a long mile, but maybe that is why I should point out that this was some of the best Sushi I ever had - period. I was hesitant and thought I would miss the fish- boy, was I wrong! It was extremely well presented and the taste was incredible. This is a must visit!

My friend and I had a lunch here and both dishes (a bowl and a curry with rice) were very nice. Lots of fresh ingredients, silky tofu prepared nicely and hearty serving sizes.
