This is the second time we have used Hello Naomi for a cake. First was our wedding. Cake was amazing! Second was for our daughters 21st. Once again Naomi was easy to work with and selection of cake was perfect. We went with the choice from website, and it came out fantastic! From order to pickup the process was flawless.

We loved our wedding cake from Hello Naomi. She was very easy to work with and an overall pleasant person. Our cake tasted so delicious and looked just how I had wanted. It was delivered worry free to our reception venue on the day. It was white chocolate with lemon on top (my favourite!) And caramel on the bottom. We will be looking forward to getting another cake for our anniversary.

Naomi was extremely friendly and wonderful and made a beautiful floral themed birthday cake. The cake itself was divine, very rich buttery taste but not too heavy either. The family loved that it wasn't too sweet either. We ordered the smallest sized cake but even then we as a family of 6 we only ate half of it. I have had many of Naomi’s birthday cakes over the years and most recently my wedding cake. As always it was delicious, elegant and delivered with care. Naomi is very talented and an absolute delight to work with. Highly recommend if you are looking for something personalised and extra special.

Made our wedding cake - salted caramel for one tier and vanilla bean, both with buttercream icing for the other. Also created custom toppers to reflect our wedding day outfits and our family unit, which added lots of charm. So many of the guests commented on how delicious the cake was. Highly recommend for the Newcastle and Hunter Valley areas!

Unfortunately, the information I received in store was that we could not design our own cake for the business to make. The cakes in the display were the cakes they make, they’ve been designed. After hearing this disappointment, we still opted for one of the cakes at a later date with an open mind of their “design” and did not enjoy it, flavours and weight of the weren’t appealing enough to return.

Amazing custom cakes! We won’t go anywhere else for special occasion cakes! This is the cake the team made for our daughter’s 21st birthday last week! THE BEST CAKES EVER!!! I recently purchased two cakes and I cannot stop raving about them and neither can my work colleagues! The caramel mud cake was delicious! The amount of icing was perfect but what blew me away was that despite its incredible flavour, it wasn’t sickly sweet at all. I bought the Mars Bar Gateau today and it was incredible! So much goodness oozing from the middle!! There were two lovely humans working there this morning who absolutely made my day. One of them is the mastermind and maker of all of these delectable creations and she was so proud and enthusiastic about her work. Great job! It was a pleasure to meet you! Designer delights will be my go-to for any occasion that requires a cake (I have been trying to find any excuse to go back for more!) Thank you!!!

Whenever we get family occasion cakes from DD, everyone raves about them. Shop staff are also really helpful and polite. Had a Nanna Shirl's recipe sausage roll here on Saturday whilst picking up a cake, simply wow! Might just be the best sausage roll I've ever eaten in my life.

I ordered a vintage chocolate cake for my sister’s 18th birthday and was super excited to try it as I have followed Cake Boi on Instagram for a little while now. The cake itself was quite nice however the icing was pretty disappointing. We took the cake out of the fridge an hour and a bit before serving (as advised), however the icing did not really soften and was pretty tasteless. Felt like we were biting into a stick of butter. I wouldn’t order a birthday cake from here again unfortunately.

Was looking for Medovik Russian honey cake everywhere in Newcastle with no luck until a lovely lady who bakes/sells on FB marketplace let me know of this place. Been here twice since and not a letdown so far. Wonderful friendly staff, clean cute simple "bubblegum" decor, great coffee and love the fact that it wasn't jam- packed when we went. Just the right amount of sweetness (or saltiness 😉), professionally but homely decorated & very generous portion slices. We often travelled to the Hunter Valley dessert bar when the crave for sugar rush beacons, but so happy to find this gem closer to home. With few different selections each visit to entice us, we are on a mission to keep coming back until we've tried each and everyone of them!

We came for the first time today and purchased several different cakes and slices for takeaway. All are delicious and looked beautiful instore, everyone was friendly and we didn't wait to long to be served. My only feedback would be given the price the takeaway packaging isn't that great and it quickly messed up the tops of the cakes and they didn't make it home looking so pretty anymore.

Enjoy variety of cakes this shop provides and very happy with everything we ordered, has to even repeated some menu to take home. Vanilla slide is excellent, would really recommend. Only tiny issue with my hot chocolate, it's not hot or even warm. A bit warm hot chocolate will complement my cake even more.

Rochelle is an absolute wizard in the kitchen! This was my 2nd time using Rochelle’s services & this time for our wedding cake. She is always so great with communication (even when I changed my mind 3 times about what cake I wanted) and the final product was exactly what I envisioned. The cake looked stunning & tasted even better than it looked - it even tasted just as good a few days later when we ate the leftovers. The gluten free cupcakes also got raving reviews from my family & friends! I would highly recommend Rochelle for anything you need. I will definitely be back!

Rochelle created the cutest gluten free cupcakes for our wedding. Not only did they look absolutely gorgeous but they tasted amazing too!!! They were snapped up by our guests, including my new husband who ate three. Now that’s the sign of a good cupcake!

We were heading to Belmont Pines in the van for a few days getaway with a small group for my partners 60th. A number of nights out from heading away i did a late night google search to see if i could order a birthday cake. I was so pleasantly surprised to see A la Roch Cakes & Sweets located right there at Belmont North. The range of cakes on the website looked delicious and spectacular and just what I was after. I tried my luck in contacting Rochelle via the website asking if it was too late to pop an order in for Saturday pickup. And early next morning I was pleasantly surprised to see a reply from Rochelle saying that if I could place the order by 9am it would be ready for Saturday. I was ecstatic. The website was easy to navigate and plenty of options to really make your cake unique. I selected the gluten free cake, paid online and emailed Rochelle to say the order was placed. She replied to confirm the order. Communication is excellent. When I picked the cake up I was just blown away at how magnificent it looked. It looked how I envisaged it to be. Everybody was so impressed at how spectacular the cake was decorated, loved the taste of the gluten free vanilla cake and the icing was silky smooth and not overpowering with sweetness. It was just perfect. I highly recommend anyone wanting a speciality cake to checkout A la Roch Cakes & Sweets.

We stopped for a quick breakfast before driving home to Queensland, and had an absolutely delicious Ham & Cheese Toasted Croissant, excellent coffee and delicious tea! It was just after opening and the waiter was still waking up (his words...LOL) and got the coffee orders wrong, however they were corrected and replaced within moments so all good, and he was such a lovely guy! It was a Monday morning so very quiet, but I can imagine it would get very busy on weekends.

I chose Euro to cater for my baby shower and also make the cake. Everything was absolutely perfect. The cake was one of the most delicious I have ever tried (caramel mud cake). I love their online ordering and knowing I can trust them to have everything ready on the day. Thanks Euro 💛

We visited a nearby business who suggested we grab a coffee here. What a pleasant surprise! Great vibe, super busy with locals popping in for takeaway and lovely friendly staff to help us newbies grab a table 😁 The cakes and coffee are delish!

This was my 3rd visit & decided to dine outside at the rear. The outside area was dirty with stained cushions. The toilets were not clean & I could smell them. A group behind me walked out as I believe they were waiting too long to have their order taken. When I mentioned this to our waitress she was dismissive with a ‘don’t care’ attitude. I ordered the smashed avo bruschetta. The poached eggs were pre made & cold. No wonder my food arrived before my coffee

We've enjoyed cakes and cupcakes for different occasions from here over the years, including very recent birthday cakes, and it's always enjoyable. Can't comment on other products as never tried them. can get hectic and noisy when busy, and parking can be difficult. It's one of the go-to places for cakes, though.

Ordered 2 coffees. 1 was a medium( more like small) iced coffee with almond milk and was charged $7.30. What a rip off. Basically a cold coffee( that is $4.70 )with ice. Nothing fancy. Would not recommend.

Got 6 cupcakes ,they look very tempting but taste was awful. The cupcakes were decorated nicely but only to deceive you. Full of sugar and not fresh at all. Cupcakes topping was really surgery and taste very bad. Had 2 of them and the test to the bin. Not recommended at all if you are looking for quality bakery.

I attended your cafe on Sunday 5th March to spoil my mum on a day out. As I work in the centre and spend a lot of money there I thought it would be lovely. My mum is a senior and showed the lady serving her senior card as there is a big sign on counter and the girl didn’t put it through as senior and charged her more. When we asked she said oh I forgot. And the blonde lady that was making coffees when the lady asked to fix it up and rolled her eyes and said so you want us to refund so you can get a discount. We were so polite and said yes please as we did ask the lady. She rolled her eyes again and spoke down to us. Never have I been treated so rudely. I asked for a refund and said that she didn’t have to to be so rude. Will never be going back and I will be letting the owner of the store no!!!!! Disgusting!!!! They made a mistake so just fix it and say sorry.

This was once my favourite coffee shop in Charlestown. I’ve filled up a few loyalty cards, but over the past 6mths or so has gone downhill. Coffee is still good, but service is shocking! Always appear to be understaffed in the mornings. This morning was told the shop does not open for another 15mins, but website clearly states opens at 7:30am. I went to another coffee shop and realised the coffee is also good elsewhere now too (service and price too) :) Thanks Fifi La Femme

The Grumpy Baker made us the Happiest Customers! First off- my hot chocolate was divine- best hot chocolate I have had in Newcastle. Earl Grey was fragrant and delicious. I tried the Potato Boureka and a cheese stick which were both super tasty with amazing texture! My party had the croissant which they rated a 9/10 - only cause you need to save your 10s for miracles. Pricing is amazing, two pastries and two drinks for $23. Can’t beat it for the level of quality provided. Many many options for everyone and serves as a cafe and bakery!

I have been going to the Grumpy Baker for a few years now before my travel home to Canberra. I come to Newcastle once a year, I should get there more often. I love the ocean, markets, weather there. Anyway, I enjoy a good apple danish and coffee. It wasn’t too hectic because I got there early for a Sunday morning. It was so hard to choose other things to take away for the 4 and a half hour drive so I settled for a fluffy croissant. Can’t wait to go there again. Unless they open one in Canberra in the Inner South, of course.

From Brisbane and wanted to try this area for breakfast, nice fig n walnut toast with loads of jam and peanut butter, big serving and filled me up. Lovely coffee and the young girl serving was super friendly, parking easy to find

Firstly, I never leave food reviews. I tried a small local bakery today with hopes of enjoying some quality baked goods and coffee. I ordered one beef pie, one raspberry Danish, one mini chocolate croissant, a small flat white, and a large flat white. The total came to $38 — which, frankly, is steep for what I received. Now, I’m all for supporting small local businesses, and I don’t mind paying top dollar for food that’s done well. But at this price point, I expect the food to at least stand out. Unfortunately, everything tasted quite bland and very basic. The beef pie lacked seasoning, and the pastry completely fell apart — really disappointing. The Danish and croissant were forgettable too — not really flavourful. The coffee was fine, but not enough to carry the experience. For some people, $38 is a significant amount of money — especially for a quick bite. I left feeling disappointed, not because I overspent, but because the quality just didn’t live up to the price. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I can't justify a return visit based on this experience.

I meant to be on a diet but walked past The Grumpy Baker today I couldn’t resist the look of the almond croissant in the window. There was a little break of customers at the counter so I thought YOLO and went and got one and I’m glad I did, definitely the best I have had in a long time plus the two girls on the till and coffee machine were super engaging and had a chat which was nice to experience for a change. Will definitely be back 10/10

Ok. Firstly staff are great. A lot of staff. Ordered the chunky beef pie and two sausage rolls, $25.50. Understand costs for everything are up just have to cop that. The pie pastry taste was on point and the filling great. THE BIG DRAMA here is someone has forgotten it’s a pie. You’ve got to be able to eat as an enclosed pastry…..and you can’t. The pie comes in a silver foil pie case but the base can’t hold the weight. It’s too soft and just falls apart. You can see in the photos it’s impossible to eat as a pie…..Pies shouldn’t need cutlery …. Sausage rolls are huge but just to big and it shows in the photo…..Greasy on the outside and dry in the middle. For the price it’s a no from me.

This is hands down the best bakery in Newcastle—if not all of NSW! The staff are friendly, and the baked goods are exceptional. The Bootstraps are the standout, but everything here is amazing.

Each time I go the older lady is so rude to me. So condescending & obnoxious. I’ve even had friends notice it each time we go to order. I wonder if she realizes it! Foods ok. The younger girls are lovely The random, very short opening hours scream small town vibes. But that’s ok. If only the customer service was a little friendlier I’d be recommending it more often!

Possibly the worst coffee and Bacon & Egg Roll I have had. You can tell the owners have no pride in what they do. There is a reason their rolls are cheap. Seriously, you're better off with a coffee from 7/11. Its truly awful. What a shame. I would love the opportunity to run a place like this, but instead its run by people who don't care about you or their food.

My banh mi had a fly in it. Lucky i opened it to pick off the chilli. I called them, no answer. Maybe just don't leave the meat uncovered or whatnot if you are, he was like full marinated in there too soooo yerrrr.

In the early 2000's this was the best bakery in Newcastle. Nowadays, probably one of the worst. Terrible pastries, and little selection of cakes. Avoid. Long term customer no longer, 1 star is too much.

I just wanted to say I feel very ripped off when buying a cheese pie and a small vanilla slice at Bones Bakery today (in July 2025). I knew that a cheese pie was going to cost $7.70 (let's make sure everyone knows these prices!). I was asked to pay $15.40 and I asked how much the vanilla slice was and was told $7.70. Very rude customer service, by asking "am I going to take it?", just for asking the price of the vanilla slice. I don't know who you have working in there, but it's poor form. I could have been a new regular customer, but I won't be coming back. Good luck keeping customers by ripping them off so I wouldn't advise it! I recommend Barrington Bakery at Mayfield East instead.

Get the CHEESE AND BACON ROLL. I love these so much. Best cheese and bacon roll in Newcastle and the central coast. Honestly, I moved away from the store and every time I’m in Kotara I have to go to bones bakery. Please give me the recipe

Walked un and 2 women were behind counter. 2 elderly people before me and one woman asked if they were together which they were. One of the couple was already being served so the woman not serving took the money. So really 2 women serving one customer. I stood waiting and the elderly couple left the shop. I stood and looked at the servers and they faced each other and started chatting. So I left and went to Georgetown Bakery.

Some people shouldn’t be in customer service roles and for this shop it is the blonde haired lady. Very abrupt never smiles slaps ur order on the counter no have a good day etc . Other 2 ladies were lovely but I’ve been going here for years now and the blonde lady had never been friendly at all. I’ll look elsewhere for my hotdog I think

GLUTEN FREE HEAVEN🤩BEST gluten free pies! Cheese and bacon pie: CRISPY PASTRY on top. THIN PERFECT PASTRY on bottom. FULL of meat, with bacon and cheese. This gf pie tasted like a non gf pie, UNBELIEVABLE

The cheese and mince pie had a really delicious filling but I felt like the pastry base didn't cook properly. I love a nice flaky top so I was a little sad when the lid was also a bit undercooked. The staff are really lovely and the shop looks great so I'll give it another go if I'm in the area in the future.

If I'm in redhead I make a beeline to redhead bakehouse to get a delicious coffee made exactly how I like it by one of the friendly staff members, I sometimes grab a pie or sausage roll, my favourite pies are the chunky steak and the creamy chicken, I also grab a loaf of bread and a cake for an afternoon treat.

Without a doubt the best pies, cakes and coffee in the area! The pies are so good it's hard to stop at just one. Sooo many options and always new and super tasty flavours to try. Can't go past the steak, cheese and jalapeno though 🤤 To top off the quality of their products is the quality of their staff. Always so happy and helpful no matter how busy.

We were traveling through Newcastle from Sydney with our newly diagnosed for 1 week coeliac child. We’d ran out of safe foods in the lunchbox and found the Blind Baker. Everything is new and scary for us now but we were so looked after by the wonderful lady on the counter. We will now be looking at ordering for home delivery to our home in Sydney. The food was delicious and tasted like regular food. The pastries were amazing, just like regular pies. 100% will go out of our way to come back when we are in the Newcastle area. Thank you so much!!!

Wonderful gf selection, great for coeliacs. The pies are exceptional, especially the red wine beef. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. We make sure to stop by, every time we are in Newcastle.

Hidden away but what a treat the pies are massive biggest ones around I think cheese and bacon filled nicely and chunky steak bits included well worth the price its a meal in its self and the cheese and bacon rolls are twice the size to most other places selling them a+++

Nice atmosphere and lovely staff. I paid 18 dollars for a chicken salad though and it was the saddest meal I've had in a long time. Wouldn't rate it as a side salad.

Dad absolutely loves his pies, pastries and cakes. So when he was recently diagnosed as coeliac it was a bit of a struggle adjusting to his new diet requirement and finding places in the area that could fill the void. We were recommended the blind baker by another takeaway that offer gluten free options and were really glad they recommended this place because everything was great. Their pies are huge and filling and of the highest quality meat used. Their gluten free dessert offerings is wide and really delicious. They’re also very generous and threw in free GF buns and cookies the first time we visited and it was really appreciated. Highly recommend to all, especially those requiring GF options.

Farrar and Sons is the best kind of Aussie bakery - friendly, great value and packed with tasty treats. We had a vege pie and an apple turnover and they were both delicious. Two thumbs up!

Best pies we’ve ever tried! Size, freshness, crispy pastry against soft, saucy filling texture and the service is top tier for a bakery 10/10 without a doubt would 100% come back. We were that satisfied with our works pie and C&B pie that we had to try their sausage roll, again so fresh and flaky, absolutely beautiful! Coffee also deliciously pleasing. Over all not a doubt in my mouth, would 110% recommend

Farrar & Sons Bakehouse is a local Mayfield gem! The staff are always so lovely and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasure.Their potato pies are my absolute favourite. You really can’t go wrong with anything here, everything is consistently fresh and delicious. I especially love their apple strudel and vanilla slice. Highly recommend stopping by for somthing savoury and sweet!

Ah wow what a great little bakery 🧁🥯 in Mayfield. They certainly cook some great pies 🥧 and sausage rolls. Also have some excellent cakes 🍰 🧁 to go with your coffee. I would definitely recommend grabbing a bite to eat here with so many choices to choose for your tummy. Breads are all freshly baked daily what more could you want and the staff are very friendly.

What a hidden little gem in the heart of Mayfield! Fresh bread, delicious pies and the sweet treats are incredible. Excellent price point on everything. Parking can be hit and miss (but that's all dependent on time of day). You can usually just do a few laps and a park will become available. The staff are always so lovely and helpful too.

Fantastic Lamb Fry Pie! The pastry was fantastic and so was the filling.

I’ve been coming to Pork Ewe Deli for a few years now, and it never disappoints. They’ve got a fantastic selection of deli products from around the world, all at reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help—whether you’re after something specific or just browsing for inspiration. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for quality ingredients or something a bit special for your next meal.

It’s hard to know where to look first when you push open the barn door to Pork Ewe Deli. Located in Mayfield, it’s a mother-daughter affair featuring a well-curated selection of cheese, charcuterie and artisan products. Keep your eyes peeled for historic wine bottles plucked from Len Evans masterclasses decorating the upper shelves - both of the proprietors have spent time at Brokenwood Wines and have plenty of food and wine knowledge to impart to any consumers lucky enough to wander in through the door.

This place was so fabulous. From ordering we live in Tasmania to pick up at the shop, especially at Easter and do not forget the great interaction by all staff. Wish you were in Tassie Pork Ewe...miss you already......

they’re missing the foam on top (crema) which is important in long black. it was a bit awkward since i forgot the word “long black” cuz I always order flat white. they should change their mugs from kmart’s one into something else

I have had coffee here a few times. Today, I asked for a large cappuccino with a single shot of expresso. The service was prompt without fuss. I would consider this to be a place I will frequent regularly in the future.

Luke warm milk pretending to be coffee, and a sad piece of cake served on a saucer. Dirty smudged water glasses. Yukky! Definitely would not recommend and Definitely won't spend hard earned cash here either.

I ordered a cake for my daughters 4th birthday. Her favourite colour is purple and she loves sprinkles of course so I noticed they had this cool cake on their website. The cake cost $85 and was advertised to feed 20 people but we got about 25-30 serves. I added cake toppers from her favourite show. Inside the cake there was pink and purple icing. It tasted really good and for a kids birthday I feel like it’s very reasonably priced and you got heaps of servings. I personally would recommend Fifi La Femme for all your children’s cake needs!! :)

How do I say this when that Caucasian female staff did not cook the Nutella donut that I requested properly. I don’t know why it’s stale inside and the bread was sticking in the tissue SHE PUT UNDERNEATH. I’m gonna tell her to not put a tissue under neath my donut because it sticks to the bread!! Her attitude not actively listening and being ignorant like stating “what” raising her eye brows at me was the most rudest service I’ve ever encounter. Can a manager talk to this female staff!?? I want a refund when im satisfied with the donut, I’ll return it back for you to eat it.

The girl with the blue hair and tattoos makes the best coffee in the centre and is so lovely everytime 10/10

I’ve been to this patisserie twice over the past two weekends. Both times served by Craig – friendly, relaxed, and seemingly unfazed by my pastry indecision. On my first visit, I arrived right before close and the choices were a little sparse. I still managed to snag two: a pain au chocolat and a danish. The following weekend, I came earlier… and ordered exactly the same. At around $8 each, these pastries aren’t exactly budget carbs, but they’re exquisite – the kind you admire for a moment before devouring. Some flavours are pleasantly unconventional and according to Craig that’s just them having fun with the menu - It works. Already planning my third trip. Highly recommend – just maybe don’t turn up right before close.

The pastries weren’t too sweet, thats what i want!!!! and the pastry chef was friendly. The place was clean with a limited menu. The menu isn’t extensive, but the pastries here feel very special and full of the chef’s care and effort! The only downsides were the accessibility. it’s hard to find car park and you have to pay for it and the coffee wasn’t really my style. But I think I’ll come back again for the pastries!🥐

Second time being to Liebe and wow the stuff that Craig does here is next level , the flavours and skills that are showcased here are insane and I always leave wishing I’d brought more , the coffee is well worth coming for aswell so if your looking for a new bakery to try Liebe is a must

Cool little patisserie Stopped by here at 7:30am for a pastry and a coffee and was greeted by a polite man whom I assume is the patissier creating these tasty baked treats. He explained what all five pastries he had made for the day to us and meticulously made us our coffees. Great experience here very yum pastries and excellent coffee. Thanks for a great start to the day!

If you’re in Newcastle and love beautifully crafted pastries, Liebe European Pastries is a must-visit. We tried the Pain Suisse, Pain au Chocolat, Croissant, Escargot (Pain aux Raisins), and Marzipan Pain – and every single one was excellent. The pastries had that perfect flakiness and buttery richness you’d expect from a European patisserie. The chocolate in the Pain au Chocolat was smooth and generous, the Croissant had incredible layers and a crisp outer shell, and the Escargot was deliciously spiced with just the right amount of raisins. The Marzipan Pain was a standout too – nutty, subtly sweet, and perfectly balanced. Craig, the owner, is genuinely lovely and passionate about what he does. You can tell a lot of care goes into each pastry. Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic pastries! Beautifully crafted, and as delicious as they look. A small but intimately minimalist space that is just right. Get in early to have the full selection, or just visit often to try it all! Delicious. Visited on a Friday mid-morning before lunch time, pretty quiet - easy to find parking and quick service, a great chat with the owner ensued. Will definitely return when in the area!

I am in awe! I can’t believe it took us so long to visit this cute little corner shop full of pastry gems. We tried their croissant, pain suisse and a passionfruit blueberry pastry. Light crispy exterior, moist interior, gorgeous lamination and perfect crumb. Everything I wanted in a pastry and more. Absolutely going to be my go-to place for pastry cravings in Newcastle!

We had butter bakery create our wedding cake for us this May. From the very beginning we loved the ability to be able to get a tasting box for the cakes and had such a fun night tasting and rating all of the cake flavours (all YUM). We were able to do this even though we live in a different state. On the wedding day the cake was delivered to the site with such gorgeous presentation. Celeste went above and beyond- even sending us tips on the cake cut for photos. We are so thankful to have found her and had her beautiful cake on our wedding day. Thank you

Celeste made the most incredible cake for our wedding - it looked and tasted unreal. We received so many compliments from our guests about how delicious our wedding cake was. The cake looked beautiful and tasting amazing. The decorations were exactly what we had imagined and complimented the venue and florals. We chose to cut the cake immediately after the ceremony and have it served during the cocktail hour which was very well received by everyone.

Another incredible recommendation from Circa 1876 Butter. We got taste testers from Celeste and they were absolutely delicious had to fight over them with my daughter lol. We had a vision in mind of our cake and when we finally saw our cake for the first time on our wedding night we could not be happier my goodness the beauty of the flowers down the cake it was simply stunning. We asked for the semi naked wedding cake with 2 tiers just wow i have no words you will just have to hire Celeste to make your cake for your wedding day you will not regret it.

She was a pleasure to work with and was so accomodating from the start with a few changes I wanted to make. The cake was a huge hit, with guests raving about how delicious it was. Ellie was a great choice for our cupcake tower at our wedding. We were able to have the cupcakes custom to match our decor and even managed to have 2 different flavours on offer. The cakes were light, spongey and full of flavour but not too sweet which was great. Ellie even delivered the cakes before our guests arrived and the reception started which was very convenient for us on our day.

Ellie made our wedding cake and nailed it! The cake looked and tasted fantastic, and we got so many compliments from our guests! She was super easy to work with and we loved getting her tasting box so we could pick our favourite flavours to go with!

Absolutely amazing cakes and beautiful woman who goes above and beyond to help. Did my daughters wedding cakes and they were works of art. Highly recommend. After an initial phone consultation we agreed to a cake and a date but on further correspondence they wouldn’t answer phone calls, emails or text messages. Don’t waste your time on someone who clearly doesn’t want your business.

Order Mother’s Day cupcakes and they were delivered early and looked beautiful. Extremely happy with their service!

(3.5 stars) Lamb and preserved lemon sausage rolls ($8.50/each) and all hot savouries had sold out before 12.30pm in sleepy suburban Maryville. While the Baked Uprising pastry counter still had some appeal, nearly everything was sweet rather than savoury. The potata bravas galette ($8.50) held promise, with its pastry laminated with Pepe Saya cultured butter, however with pumpkin in the mix it ate too sweet for my lunchtime hankering. It was also quite small, so I threw in a cardamom spice cake ($6.50) to fill out the corners, appreciating the cut-through of aromatic spice in the moist little cake. House-made flavoured sodas ($5/glass) lured me in with sour cherry, but again for this sugar-jaded palate, it came up tasting too sweet. The back-street converted warehouse setting offers a view into the bakery, which employs over fifty staff. There are also shelves of take-home products to browse, running from pickles and jams to breakfast items like muesli and baked loaves, all the way to decorate-your-own pavlova shells. Care has also been taken to create some attractive spaces to sit down outside in sunny weather and enjoy a coffee and a sweet treat.

Uprising Bakery has in house made croissants. I came here due to other recommendations of these being the best on the central coast and Newcastle. As a croissant enthusiast, I was excited. The plain croissant was okay, but nothing special. I have had much better at Burnt Honey Bakery, but that is a long way away.

This is my favorite pie and pastry shop. It’s always busy on weekends, but I just can’t give it up. A lot of people bring their dogs, and I often visit with my own pet too! The staff are generally friendly, but there have been a few times when they got confused with cash payments or gave the wrong change. Maybe they could consider using a calculator? Other than that, I really love this place! + It’s a shame that they don’t have decaf coffee here.

I bought a large and a small cake and a loaf of bread. Goodness me! Why hadn't I discovered this bakery before?! It has changed my whole life. You wouldn't know the real taste of bread unless you try their bread. The sweets are to di.e for. I've found my happy place.

Difficult to write a five star review as I found that the value for money is rated to be 6/10, parking is difficult, found one piece of bacon in the egg and bacon pie. Range of bakery products was lesser than expected as an artisan bakery and the delay to obtain a coffee order was quite lengthy; for a popular business, I’d expect morning coffees to be moving quickly out the door.

The traditional beef pie was fantastic, it's pasty done to perfection and a good combination of beef, gravy and seasoning. The pork and chutney sausage roll was okay, but nothing extraordinary. Tomato sauce went well with that. Would be great if they had dine in plates as it was difficult eating our pies when all the baked goods came in one paper tray

One of the best bakerys in Newcastle - Tried both the lamb sausage roll and the equally delicious beef birria grill sandwich.

We always buy celebation cakes here - Lemon Raspberry, Caramel, Rainbow, White citrus - all were lovely and friendly staffs too.

I went to Sweet Poison for my 18th birthday cake and of course I had to come back for my 21st! I'm so happy with how my cake turned out! It was so delicious and the design was gorgeous. I gave them an idea of what I wanted and gave them some artistic freedom and I'm so glad I did! Will definitely be coming back in the future!

Sweet treats, sizable portions (almost a bit too much for me!) and a yummy iced chai. Was mostly OK to hangout here, came for dessert with my brother. Only issue was some guy working here was SUPER LOUD. He was behind the counter talking (well basically shouting) with other employees. Every time he opened his booming mouth my brother and I couldn't hear each other speak. Ruined what could have been a nice relaxing time catching up with someone I don't see often. Won't be going back to this place.

While I've always bought birthday cakes from here for their impressive craft and tasty nature, I was so disappointed to listen to the border-line bully-natured scolding that was delivered to the team of young girls working here. Seemingly, it was by a manager yelling loud enough for myself and a patron next to my table to hear (who also noted there were better ways to deal with issues), the content about "what was left for me on Saturday" clearly had this co-worker in a entitled, berating state blaming this team. I swear one of the waitstaff held back tears despite being professional enough to carry on with attending to tables. Regardless of the problem, this person displayed such unprofessionalism, no ability to deal with team members and a complete lack of awareness to how customers felt. Fair Work should do some secret shopping and pull up a seat, no doubt it'll happen again. Terrible.

This place is taken from the past Century (in a good way!). Antique tea-party style, really cute. We had an amazing breakfast. The avocado toast was super fulfilling and tasty, while the croissant was also delicious. Let alone the coffee, that was incredible.

Quirky small café with outdoor terrace. I ordered the toasted croissant with bacon, cheese and fried eggs which was tasty. Good service, friendly and efficient ☺️ It is a good option for a quick bite. I enjoyed the peculiar decoration of the place and reading a great newspaper article about the contributions of French culture 🤓

I've been wanting to visit this Cafe for so long and finally had a chance for brunch yesterday with my husband. The two young waitstaff behind the counter were an absolute delight. I ordered a few different items from the menu, all of which were delicious, but the standout was the pistachio and raspberry croissant. The coffee lived up to the stellar reviews. The French-inspired decor adds to the cosy and pleasant ambiance of the restaurant.

Cute cafe, delicious cruffins, beautiful employees. However, as soon as the owner/manager walked in the building the entire vibe changed. My small interaction with her was extremely off putting and makes me never want to return. If it weren't for the kind faces of the employee's, I probably wouldn't.

The beautiful atmosphere will ease you into your mornings and relax you in the afternoon. French songs play quietly in the background while sipping your coffee.

A great little place for a quick bite to eat. The service was excellent and the place look nice. I enjoyed the food and the smoothie and would recommend this place. It's a tad pricey but not over priced. I wouldn't say this Ruben was better than the one I had in New York but it was good!

Unfortunately I have to update my review a year later. Below average now. Not sure how everything went from being so good to this. After waiting 40 mins you would expect the food to actually be cooked. Oven blistered cherry tomatoes were just hot cherry tomatoes that were cut in half. Bacon was only cooked enough to be considered cooked, not crispy at all. The price is great but would rather pay more for something not disappointing.

Morning soy cappuccino and a sweet cinnamon scroll. First time here. Cool look inside. Coffee was pretty good. Big range of pastries, walked in thinking I would have a light breakfast, cinnamon scroll caught my eye instead!

Not going to say I love this place but I do. Everything is soo good, and I just keep coming back. I would say get your self here for a coffee but then there will be more people and I don't want to wait, even when there is lots of people they still get everything out in a good time. And a nice hot chocolate on a cold day is a perfect way to start your day

Lovely cafe & location ..... 👍🏼 But less is more in this case, Artisan breads etc are lovely ..... please ditch the rocket etc its very old hat & very annoying on the plate. Not for me .... Ive had 6kg of rocket already this year 🤦🏻‍♂️ Please add butter 🧈 to your breakfasts it was very dry .....
