House Wine & Bistro is a charming restaurant that has been thriving since its opening in 2008. It offers an extensive selection of over 130 wines by the glass, bottle, or case, making it a haven for wine enthusiasts and food lovers alike. The menu features delectable dishes such as chicken parmesan and carbonara with shrimp, served with sides like Caesar salad, roasted veggies with pesto sauce, and Focaccia bread.
Amazing service by Andrea, she did an amazing job convincing us with what food to choose. Food was cooked to perfection, pasta was just right not over cooked, steak was great. Apple pie with ice cream hit the spot to top off the night. Overall service was excellent from Andrea. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We were there to celebrate our anniversary and received a complimentary glass of bubbles to toast the occasion. However, I was shocked by the unusual smell upon arrival, which immediately set a negative tone. The tables and seats were in very poor condition, and it seems the place could really use some renovation. As for the food, it was just okay—nothing as impressive as I had hoped. The risotto was overcooked and lacked the proper ‘al dente’ texture, and it appeared they did not use the appropriate type of rice. On the other hand, the fish was very well prepared and cooked to perfection. The best part of our experience was the service. The server was professional, attentive, and truly deserved praise. I’m sharing these impressions so that the management knows both the strengths and the areas needing improvement.

Is not quite often when you get to be surprised, I had the incredible opportunity and be lucky enough to have the best steaks in many years. This place is just amazing, the food is mind blowing! But the service is top notch. Javi and Milton are rock stars. I need to say that not all the time I bump with a restaurant that will make me travel just to have one more meal; this is it!!! Thank you guys. I’ll be back.

One of the best experiences we have had in a long time. The best margarita in town and delicious food. Highly recommend the Caesar salad!

Had the best experience! I got the chicken Parmesan with Asiago sauce and it was so delicious! Servers were very attentive and I loved the atmosphere!

House Wine & Bistro in McAllen is an absolute gem! I've been coming here for the past 10 years, and it's always been a hit. During my recent visit, our group enjoyed an exceptional dining experience. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the grilled panela, putanesca risotto with pan-seared salmon, lamb chops, ribeye, and pesce risotto. Everything was outstanding. The only minor hiccup was that the putanesca risotto was a bit on the salty side, but the staff was quick to address the issue, exemplifying their commitment to customer satisfaction. This level of service truly sets House Wine & Bistro apart. And, I can't forget to mention that the Italian donuts were absolutely amazing - the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. To complement our meal, we ordered a bottle of Susana Balbo Malbec, which paired beautifully with the dishes. If you're looking for a reliable spot for excellent food and a delightful dining experience, House Wine & Bistro is the place to be. Ten years of consistently great visits speak volumes about the quality and excellence you can expect here. Five stars all the way!

I came out for a quick dinner with my son and granddaughter and so happy I did. The service was excellent (SB- I don't want to misspell her name was amazing) and so was the food. The steak was perfection as was the Picaña Risotto, McAllen Burger, and Bombolino. The Calamari was also delicious. From the moment we walked into the restaurant to the time we left, we were greeted and treated with kindness and attentiveness. A gentleman noticed that my granddaughter was a little cold and raised the temperature to accommodate her. This gesture was greatly appreciated. Everyone in the restaurant, staff and guests, seemed very happy and relaxed. This restaurant had a great atmosphere. I will definitely be back soon to enjoy another great meal. Thank you House Wine Team for wonderful dinner with family. ❤️

Was traveling for work and decided to stop here based on Trip Advisor reviews. Was going to go to Salt but so glad I didn’t (that’ll be another review!) I made a reservation just in case but was able to be seated promptly. The service was fantastic and the food was divine! I took the servers and managers recommendations and they didn’t disappoint. The Yahweh salad is soooo good, the lime shrimp, the drink, dessert, all of it was fantastic! I’m sad I didn’t go back here the next night! I’ve learned my lesson! Management also comes around and talks to you. They don’t just ask you if your food is okay, they talk to you like you’re a long lost friend. I appreciated it. And the temperature in the restaurant was nice and cool. Will definitely be going back here!

New American restaurant
Restaurant
SALT - New American Table in McAllen is a standout restaurant known for its dedication to New American cuisine and locally sourced ingredients. The rustic-chic decor and open kitchen design create a welcoming atmosphere where diners can witness the art of cooking. The menu features innovative dishes that put a modern spin on American classics using fresh, local produce. Owners Larry and Jessica Delgado aim to offer high-quality meals without pretentiousness, highlighting the flavors of world cuisine alongside Rio Grande Valley produce.
I don’t even know where to start with the amazing experience I had at Salt! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a date night, family dinner, or just a nice evening out. We went around 6pm, which turned out to be a great time. The food was an absolute 10/10—the flavors blended beautifully, and the appetizers were so unique. Our server was attentive, kind, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place to everyone!
Evyana R — Google review
I’ve visited Salt several times and typically enjoy the experience, but our recent visit left much to be desired. The food was just okay—certainly not up to the standards we’ve come to expect. The tomatoes were overripe and so squishy, and the steak was riddled with tendons, making it tough to enjoy. Additionally, the salt board felt lacking in variety, which was disappointing. To make matters worse, the service was awful. We weren't given a drink menu, and after ordering drinks, our waiter vanished, leaving us to summon another staff member just to place our order. It took us asking for a dessert menu, and when I had a question, it was the restaurant manager who answered because our waiter was completely inattentive. I’ve never had such a negative experience at Salt before, and it’s made me reconsider dining there again. The quality of ingredients seems to be slipping, as I’ve never encountered bad cuts of meat or tomatoes during previous visits. I sincerely hope they address these issues, as I’d love to see Salt return to its former glory.

My husband and I went this past Friday for date night after it was recommended by a few of his colleagues. The appetizers were very good. The chips were home made and with the cheese sauce? Sheeesh 10/10. The sriracha shrimp were also very good, they come 6 shrimps so perfect for sharing, and they’re a good size too. I’d recommend getting them too 9/10. The lemonade was also very good, very refreshing for a hot summer day, my husband and I really enjoyed them 9.5/10. The pan de campo was good, it’s just not my cup of tea. But my husband liked it so I’ll take it as a win. They gave us the jalapeño mashed and was honestly very good, I could take the jalapeños and the mash potatoes had a kick to it, 10/10 i would recommend it. Now, the pork chop, it was good but I’ve had better. It came with a jalapeño tamale that was good but I wouldn’t get it again, I thought it was too porky for me so the flavor kind of overwhelmed me 5/10, I would go for something else. And my husband got the pork shank, that was very delicious, very lean, and their carrots and fries were very good. The sauce paired beautifully with the meat, 8.5/10. Over all I would give this experience a 4/5 stars for spending a little close to $200 for 2 persons. Most def we will be back.

So we don't make down to McAllen TX as often as we would like, life and business, just keep happening. This week and project brought us to McAllen, and we made sure to come back to SALT. The Kitchen Bar is our favorite. One of our favorites anywhere.

Larry and Jesicca Delgado’s restaurant in McAllen is superb. The menu and service are without equal. It is our go to eatery whenever we are in that broader region of Texas. The Chef’s Table is the place to be. Try the Texas fillet with potato pave. It goes well with either of two Belgium “suds”.

Had a reservation on a Friday Night and was seated promptly. Have been here several times and service is always great. Recommend the watermelon cocktails, refreshing and slightly sweet. This time tried the scallops, which was a light dish but full of flavor. Shared the Baked Alaska, which was delightful. Was not a fan of the Prickly Pear drink, and the restaurant was warm. Several guests were fanning themselves. Regardless, would still come back.

If you’re in McAllen, TX, SALT - New American Table is an absolute must-visit! Knowing Chef Delgado’s dedication to the community and his efforts to support local food banks, I was excited to try his renowned cuisine. Dining there with my daughter was a unique, unforgettable experience—a true journey of flavors from start to finish. Each dish, from appetizers to dessert, was crafted with incredible attention to flavor and presentation. Sitting by the kitchen was a treat, allowing us to watch the team work and interact closely with our amazing server, Hugo. We were well taken care of by the chef and his team, who ensured every moment was special. I’ll be making the 2.5-hour journey back to McAllen soon for another visit!

My husband and I went here for a date night and it was an overall amazing experience! Our server, Apollo, was a big part of that. He provided great, genuinely happy service and his recommendations for appetizers and desserts didn't disappoint. I had the filet and my husband had the ribs, we enjoyed the fried burrata appetizer and ended it with the Baked Alaska which is probably one of if not the best dessert I've ever had. Would love to come back!

Bar & grill
The Republic of the Rio Grande in McAllen is a popular indoor-outdoor bar and grill with a Mexican-American menu. The restaurant offers a classic Spanish ambiance, making it an ideal spot for dining. With its variety of dishes including ribeye steaks, filets, brick oven pizzas, and unique sides, it's known for providing an unforgettable dining experience. The beautifully decorated and romantically lit restaurant is perfect for both lunch and dinner.
As I entered i was greeted by Erica, she took care of my wife and I. The atmosphere here was relaxing, not loud, and very clean. The food was phenomenal. I had the avocado chicken that made me melt with how great it was. Saddest part of the meal was in my last bit knowing it'll be the end. For dessert I had the almond taco. I've traveled to Japan before and hadn't had a similar dessert as good as what I had since then. The cream and berries made me go to heaven. The almond brittle taco itself kept me from dying of how delicious it was. 5/5 stars. I personally asked for the one that made the food. Lenny shook my hand and I asked if I can recommend him again next time to make my food. Will definitely come back. Exquisite place everyone needs to try.

Excellent atmosphere on the terrace. I was truly amazed, but the service was incredibly poor from the entire staff, especially from the waitress/hostess Michelle! Terrible service to my cousins and me. I can't believe how disrespectful she was when she threw plates at us. I'd never had that happen to me in any restaurant, but thank goodness the food was good, and the atmosphere, along with a nice glass of Merlot, relaxed me.

Our first time eating at the Republic of the Rio Grande restaurant on my birthday. What an amazing experience. I had the avocado salmon and my husband had the 12 oz ribeye. Both were excellent. Our waiter, Hector, was wonderful. He made me one of the best old fashions I have ever had! Dessert was an on the house almond taco filled with vanilla mousse that I had read about and it did not disappoint. Our first time there but definitely not our last!

This was actually my first job ever 25 years ago! It has not changed. The food is delicious! The Avocado Chicken was very moist and flavorful. NO MATTER WHAT…save room and ORDER THE ALMOND TACO for dessert!!! You won’t regret it! I promise!! The have live music outside on the patio in the evenings. (You might want to check the schedule) Great place for intimate dinners, birthday dinners, or just a nice lunch. When the weather is nice, the patio is a lovely place to sit. I had my college graduation dinner there so it is really great for any occasion. Chorizo Queso was the best I’ve ever had. Suggestion…ask for chips instead of tortillas. Oven baked pizzas are delicious. Ribs….AMAZING! NOTE: MY mom ordered the steak chicharrónes and was not impressed by them.

Excellent service, food, drinks, and atmosphere! My family had a wonderful meal and our server, Calderon, was awesome. Attentive but never overbearing, quick and accurate. We sat on the patio next to a fountain with a fire feature that lights the patio beautifully. Absolutely beautiful evening. Thanks, Calderon!!

I flew in to the booming metropolis of McAllen, TX for work and had no idea what to expect. A colleague suggested The Republic of Rio Grande. It was about half a mile from the hotel, so we went. The place is large and roomy inside. No blaring music and quiet enough to have conversation. Our waiter, Manny, went above and beyond to take care of us. He also gave us some great local advice on late night taco trucks. We ordered the queso chorizo, beef fajitas, and my wife had a ribeye. She also ordered a watermelon margarita. The steak was perfectly cooked, as were the fajitas. The tortillas are hand made or well done enough that I couldn’t tell. The salsa was SPICY and I loved it. The rice that came with my fajitas was new to me. Not typical Tex-mex or northern Mexican. Made with herbs and cilantro instead of tomato. Delicious. Great place, great service, fantastic food.

One of the BEST steaks I have had in a beautiful environment. This restaurant is so classy with a beautiful outside seating area. The food, AMAZING. My steak was absolutely perfect. The service was great and drinks delicious. There was also live music a little later in the evening that was enjoyable. We loved it so much we went back a couple nights later. I look forward to visiting again!

Azul was an outstanding waitress—attentive, intuitive, and genuinely warm throughout my visit. She not only took care of every need with impeccable timing but also anticipated them before I had to ask. Her recommendation of the banana bread with ice cream for dessert was simply divine—easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Azul truly elevated the dining experience.

The Patio on Guerra is a refined American venue located in downtown McAllen, housed in a century-old building with vintage charm. It offers fine dining, outdoor seating, and live entertainment. The restaurant is known for its delicious menu options, including tender USDA prime steaks, chicken, and seafood meals expertly prepared and presented. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance of this establishment completely captivated me with thoughtfully curated music that created an inviting, refined atmosphere. The cuisine was nothing short of exceptional: beautifully presented, expertly balanced, and rich in flavor. Their wine selection was equally impressive, with offerings that complemented the meal wonderfully. The staff were both attentive and well-informed, demonstrating a clear passion for both hospitality and the culinary experience. I wish we had gotten the server’s name, he was great! This is a place I would gladly return to and wholeheartedly recommend to others seeking an elevated dining experience. The food was good and music good.

I love this restaurant! Every year my wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food is always so delicious and the presentation is also done extremely well. The ribeye steak is always cooked perfectly and melts in your mouth! The atmosphere is nice and cozy makes it very romantic. Always look forward to coming here!

I had the most delightful dining experience at The Patio on Guerra, all thanks to our exceptional waiter Ruben! From the moment we were sat, he greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. We started our culinary journey with the steak tapas, and they were simply mouthwatering. But what truly impressed us was Ruben's attentiveness to our preferences. My wife usually isn't a fan of fish unless it's fried, but upon Ruben's recommendation, she decided to try the pan seared Red Snapper. And let me tell you, she was blown away! The Red Snapper was cooked to perfection and had a flavor that left her wanting more. As for me, I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass with red curry sauce on the side, and it was a delightful choice. The fish was incredibly tender and paired beautifully with the red curry sauce. The presentation was impeccable, and every bite was a delight. Overall, our experience at The Patio on Guerra was fantastic, and it was largely thanks to Ruben's outstanding service. His knowledge of the menu and his genuine enthusiasm for the dishes made our evening truly memorable. We will undoubtedly be back soon, eager to enjoy the delicious food and impeccable service once again. Thank you, Ruben, for making our dining experience so exceptional!

Santa Fe Steakhouse & Cantina in McAllen is a top-notch dining spot known for its impressive wine collection and delectable steak and seafood offerings. Boasting nearly 20 awards, including recognition from esteemed dining and wine publications, the restaurant takes pride in its extensive selection of over 600 wines and impeccable dishes crafted with high-quality ingredients. The menu features sought-after Wagyu beef steaks, complemented by fresh organic components.
Very good, and classy, but you will pay top-dollar. The portions are generous. I liked the piano music, as well. Dinner for 2 with drinks, dessert, and appetizers was $200 plus tip. You will need to wear something nice. This is not casual dining nor is it for children.

I ordered an off-menu Land and Sea dish, which came with a giant shrimp and two petite filets topped with different gravies. Everything was cooked perfectly — the shrimp was flavorful, the steaks were tender, and the vegetables were delicious. The flavors overall were outstanding. This is a true local steakhouse, not a chain, and it feels warm and welcoming. The inside is beautifully decorated and includes a separate bar area, while the outdoor seating area is cozy and romantic — an ideal spot to bring a date. We also tried the cupcakes, which were excellent. Service was average, but overall good. In general, I highly recommend this place for both the food and the atmosphere. Reservations are recommended during the weekend

Heard so many great stories about this steakhouse & finally an honor to be seated at such a world class restaurant! The atmosphere was phenomenal, the service was fantastic & the food was more than words can describe! Our server was on point with his presentation & cadence. If you’re a first timer just let them know. Order a drink and browse the menu & they’ll take it from there. I recommend the ribeye cooked rare+. Started off with crab cakes followed by the lobster bisque. Then a wedge salad with avocado & feta drizzle w balsamic v. Had a couple of beef wellingtons rolls with thin crisp pan seared onions & Aioli sauce The ribeye came with a Wellington twice baked potato that was unbelievable! You will never have a better meal 🥘

We are new to the Valley and are searching the little gems. We found one at Santa Fe. The steaks were great. My spouse had the filet, cooked to perfection medium rare and velvet smooth. I went for the ribeye. Same results, perfectly cooked. Both steaks had flame char. Our server, Poppy, was divine. She was so helpful and attentive. We will be back.

Loved every appetizer ordered to include the calamari, beef wellington, and escargo. Particularly enjoyed the escargo served in a delicious creamy wine sauce with crispy bread. My main entre was the Filet Oscar which is served with asparagus. My filet was perfectly medium rare and I enjoyed every bite. Service is outstanding! My friends ordered the lamb which was also tender and cooked to perfection! Beautiful plate presentation.

This was my first time and the food was alright. I expected the food to taste better but it seemed as if the food was over seasoned and seasoned to taste different than what it should. I got the sea bass and my husband got the rack of lamb. The sides didn’t taste good them being the Brussels sprouts, the peaches and the potatoes. The sauce that was on the rack of lamb tasted bitter and the meat tasted like iron even though it was cooked to medium well. The salad was also nothing special with it heigh mainly a mix of greens and I kid you not a piece of baby corn, a slice of bell pepper a baby carrot, slice of cucumber and half of a baby tomato. I would recommend going elsewhere and will more than likely not come back.

My family and I dined here for my birthday. First and foremost, I will say the atmosphere was great and the food was amazing. But the service we received was terrible. First, our waitress, Judy, insinuated we could not afford the escargot I wanted to order (which was only $18). Then, when we asked for a wine to start off, she took 30 minutes to look for the wine. By the time we finally received another choice of wine (because the other wine was out of stock), we were ready to order our main course. Also, she forced us to wait even longer order after asking her twice to take our order. She also spilled our wine and didn’t offer to clean up the mess or compensate in anyway. She just walked away. We had to stop the manager and ask him if we could get our table cloth changed. By the end of the night, we were just appalled by lack of good customer service and disregard for the fact that it was my birthday and first time dining here. Other than that, thumbs up to the chefs, the food was amazing, just needed to be a little hotter.

The food was great but the service was very Bad . At first glance the waitress off use a happy hour option for our birthday girl & looked down on us sitting at the table . We ordered wine & appetizers . Appetizers took over an hour to come out. The wine was never found before the appetizers came out . The waitress never came back to let us know until 50 mins that she walking around the store looking for the wine & then gets the manager involved . Then we are finally told that have ran out of that bottle of wine so we had to choose another and it took over 20 mins my table to place that wine order . We was asked by many other waitress was we okay before our waitress came back . In the midst after finding out the wine wasn’t there and waiting to place an order for a different wine . We asked to place our main meal order for 30 mins the waitress declined to take our order telling us to give her a minute & let her find the new wine before she took our order . The entire time we watched her go to two different tables within the restaurant multiple times . Taking orders & serving food to people that came in after us. Also, she did come to table one time after finally taking our order and started to pour new glass of wine out of the purchased bottle and spilt it on the table cloth & did not change it . Waitress stated “ oops , I don’t have my glasses on today “ . The manager was told & let an another employee immediately know so they can change the cloth & the waitress lied and she said she had told him to when we clearly did it . & I still had to pay full price for the wine . I don’t find this acceptable as if just because we were young paying customers and did not look like the majority in the restaurant we was definitely treated differently. This table only had 3 African Americans celebrating a birthday . Our waitress name was Judy . We spent a total of 2 hrs 30 mins in the restaurant . Judy was the only problem other than that everything else was great !

Mexican restaurant
Palenque Grill is a Mexican-inspired restaurant and bar that offers a variety of succulent meats, fresh seafood, and classic Mexican dishes. The establishment takes its name from the town of Palenque in Mexico and provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for diners. With locations in Laredo, San Antonio, Edinburg, and McAllen, it has become a popular dining destination.
Jessica, our server was a delight!! She anticipated our needs before we even had the need to ask. The food was of excellent quality as usual for Palenque Grill. We had sopa poblana, aguachiles, ceviche and enchiladas en mole. Every dish was beautiful and delicious. You can’t go wrong with this place.

There's plenty of choices for Mexican food in town, we chose this one and definitely made a good choice. Our server was friendly, very efficient, kept our drinks filled, checked on our table several times after we were served. The food was unanimously very good, well prepared, fast service. Attractive venue, we were seated at a table for 6 and had plenty of room. My order of chicken fajitas was very good, the chicken was tender, just lacked flavoring. I should mention, one person ordered the beef fajitas and the beef was tough. Overall, I recommend this restaurant.

To be honest, this place is all right. It's pretty nice in terms of the look and the feel. I want to start out with the things that I did not like mostly because there's plenty to like about this place and in my opinion if they fix these things, it's worth the four stars and maybe 5. I'd need to go at least 2 more times to give the 5. Anyway. The small Ramekin used for salsa is illogical. It's too small to dip a chip into. See photo. The bartender did not give his name. How can I praise him here if I don't know his name? So from a standpoint of being personable, he wasn't really. But he was also doing several things including service bar so maybe he was too busy. Bars should NOT put the dish washing sinks near the bartop if at all possible. Because what happens is that the dirty dishes and the dripping water from the ones just washed, will invite gnats. Plus someone eating nearby doesn't want to eat near the dish washing. The tortillas were inferior. Too thin. Stuck together. Unevenly cooked. Now. The margarita was good. And very affordable. The fajitas were dry but had taste. Definitely better than some other places but I'm still on the hunt for the best fajitas that I can eat indoors, at a bartop, that isn't fast foody. Overall my meal was okay. I would go back. In fact I will go back and try the tacos and then another time I'll go back and I'll try the chicken plate. The manager was very nice and checked on me more than once. That is worth 1 star alone because too many places have managers who suck. Here's the places with managers that DONT suck according to MY experience so far: howling rabbits, reynas n.10th, here, ambra, oak uptown, olive garden mission, pappadeux, prime, salt grass, and there are plenty of places in haven't been or haven't interacted with the mgrs. Back to Palenque. I can definitely come back. Most people probably won't be disappointed with the experience. They're festive for your birthday. It's a bright decor. I say if you haven't been, give them a shot. My first time wasn't bad at all. I'll be back.

We absolutely love it here! The food is fantastic and absolutely authentic! Our server Jose Luis was amazing. He was very courteous, attentive and extremely friendly! We come all the way from Houston, Tx and this is always a MUST to have dinner here!

We took our Godson to celebrate his birthday this evening, and we had a wonderful experience. The food was great, and the service was excellent. Fernando was prompt, kind and attentive. In fact, there wasn’t a worker there that was not nice. Will definitely visit again.
Celina C — Google review
Their food is served in ample sized servings. The ambiance is elegant, spacious and clean. The prices are somewhat steep compared to their other neighboring Palenque establishments. It's understandable however, that you're paying a steeper price to be elegantly served at a classier table setting. That said, if you're going to dinner for a celebration, this is a great place! If you simply want their typical great tasting food, stop by at one of the other ones, down the street. We tried those signature margarita drinks (see my attached picture). They truly don't disappoint! We couldn't decide on which one was our best.
Amy L — Google review
The Appetizers set the mood of the restaurant. Meat was very tender and marinated. Environment, very well lit and open.
Yesi R — Google review
Very nice place. Came here and had the enchiladas that are filled with cheese since I do not eat meat. My son had the kids burger which he said tasted very good. It was a nice size. My sons father had the chicken mole enchiladas and said that they were also very good. I picked their cucumber lemonade which was very refreshing. Atmosphere is very calm, fancy enough for a dinner date OR work date. Everyone is very professional and kind.

I’ve never seen a restaurant bring out the food so quick. My wife and I got a plate for two and writhing 15 min of ordering our food it was at our table. The door was fresh, cooked well and taste was amazing. I believe it was the parillada for two. The price was also fair. I spent around $150 for 3 adults and 5 kids and I also ordered 2 beers. Great place to go and have a nice time. There was also music playing and just an over all nice environment. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We were promptly seated and came in when it was raining heavily . The staff took our raincoats and hung them so we wouldn't get wet . That was very thoughtful! We were quickly greeted by multiple staff members and everyone was really friendly. I ordered the mole enchiladas and pepino margarita. The margarita was so good and refreshing I ordered another one !

The service was great. Just the food was no good. We got the parrillada for two. The fajita was very chewy and bland. We would be back to the north Costa Mesa and check it out.

Highly recommended — 1000%! From the moment you arrive, they serve a complimentary bread that's absolutely incredible in both flavor and texture — one of the best I've ever had! The food is amazing, with a wide variety of options that suit all tastes. During this trip, we had lunch here twice, and both visits were fantastic. The service was also great — friendly, fast, and attentive. Without a doubt, this is a place we’ll return to the next time we’re in McAllen. A truly memorable experience!

I wanted to treat my love to lunch on my day off, so we decided on Cheddar’s. We arrived just after noon, and the place was already buzzing with energy! Naturally, we started with a drink—nothing too fancy for me, just a refreshing cranberry vodka, while my love ordered the Maui Margarita 💋. Both were vibrant, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. To pair with our drinks, we kicked things off with the Wisconsin cheese bites—so addicting, they practically melted in my mouth 😋. After savoring those, it was time for our entrées. My love enjoyed a perfectly cooked medium-rare sirloin with a loaded baked potato and grilled shrimp on the side. The green beans were a miss, but everything else was devoured without hesitation 💯. As for me, I went with the classic chicken fried chicken—simple, hearty, and completely satisfying. We had such a wonderful afternoon our server Joshua took excellent care of us, the food and drinks were spot on, and we left with full and happy bellies. Thank you, Cheddar’s, for a fantastic experience!

My husband and I enjoy coming here. Our favorite appetizer is the Spinach dip, they give you not too sweet croissants 🥐 (i recommend not to eat too much of your appetizers bc you might not have much room left for the real meal lol)… The atmosphere here is nice and peaceful. We enjoyed the cookie w icecream dessert. #Only Jesus saves!!! God bless❤️👑✨.
Lucila L — Google review
Since the last time I have been here, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen has gone down hill. The food quality has gone down, the service has gotten worse, and they're always getting rid of things off their menu leaving less variety to choose from. This past time I went not only was the food served room temperature, but the appetizer came after the food. The whole dining experience was weird to say the least.

My husband and I decided to try the new Cheddars in Donna. We highly recommend it. Our waitress Alex was friendly and attentive. They’ve a variety of delicious meals and great staff in this location. Definitely we’ll be back soon.
Ana R — Google review
Let me just start off and say that I have never in my life felt the need to speak with a supervisor, LET ALONE LEAVE A REVIEW ABOUT ANYTHING !!! but the service i just had has led me to do one. so i am going to be briefly be detailing all the experiences I've had at this location specifically at Cheddars. I went to this cheddars and my friends and i went to the mens restroom to wash our hands and i saw one of the busboys not wash his hands after taking a leak. I went to cheddars on another occasion and one of the waiters in the middle of taking our order walked away to go chase a butterfly or something. Lord only knows. We don't have a consistent waiter, served wrong drinks, served croissants - well atleast i thought they were under the MOUNTAIN OF GLAZE ON MY CROISSANTS !!! On another occasion when the restaurant was near empty, I went with my friends and asked for a booth, we were given a half booth half seats and when I politely asked if I could get a booth. ANY other booth that was available (all of them). she (the hostess) groaned and said well "why don't YOU sit on the booth side!" Another thing. There's always like 4 hostesses and they all don't do anything. The customer service here is non-existent. While Cheddars has always provided sub-par experiences, I will say that the food wasn't (PAST tense) that bad quality for the price. This was the day that Cheddars had truly outdone themselves. My friend and I ordered a 6 oz steak each. I ordered mine medium-well and he ordered his medium rare. We were served our steaks and let me say that my steak looked like a piece of the floor, but not only that it was way too overcooked. They also used so much salt I am still tasting it almost 12 hours later. My friends steak on the other hand was completely RAW. completely RED with WHITE FAT all around the steak. I wish we took a picture of that but we aren't the type to complain. We asked the waitress if we could get it cooked more and they offered to make a new steak. fine. it comes out and looks almost the exact same except this steak looked old and had the worst texture you can imagine. My friend tried not to complain and ate a chunk of the steak, as he was very hungry, but is now sick and has stomach pains. After looking more closely I told my friend that we need to let a supervisor know. We were concerned that this complete lack of care in the kitchen could get someone sick and needed to be addressed and showed the steak to the supervisor. The waitress as well as the male supervisor both looked at this steak and said it was a "perfect" medium rare. He said that they use "state of the art temperatures." Complete bologna. We had been there for what felt like an eternity. We paid and left defeated. I showed these pictures of the steak to my friend and he told me that he wanted second opinions, so we started calling people and asking for their opinions. They all said it was raw and we should ask for a refund. We went back inside with our receipt and asked the General Manager Jennifer, who had the biggest forced smile on her face while having the nastiest tone. I asked her politely what she thought of the picture of the steak (if she thought the steak was medium-rare.) she says absolutely and that we should've asked for our steaks to be cooked more when seated. the only problem is that WE DID AND WERE SERVED NOT ONE, NOT TWO, BUT THREE POORLY COOKED STEAKS. (if including mine!) before we can ask for a refund she states in a very nasty tone "you should have ordered medium." i told her that wasn't the problem. my friend always orders a medium rare steak and we know what a medium rare looks like. this is RARE, or more possibly BLUE RARE !!! YUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she then goes to the back and comes back with 15 dollars in cash and says the same thing in a nasty tone and big nasty smile. "next time you should order medium!" i then had to tell her "we would take our business elsewhere, goodbye!" May my Lord and Savior please forgive them for what they did to that cow.

Service was great, wait time was not bad at all. However, food was a disappointment. I decided to order the chicken Tenders & rib combo. The plate looked very appetizing when it arrived. However, the ribs were not edible at all. They were overcooked, dry, and hard. Manager came by to our table and offered to redo the ribs. I declined because my son has already finished his meal.

I will say that the food here is excellent, the gyro was absolutely delicious, the bread was soft and the meat juicy, the cucumber salad made this gyro taste great. The shrimp and garlic pizza was also delicious. The restaurant itself isn't very appealing for my tastes. Our server Jose was incredible, he was fun and polite, it is because of him I'm giving this place 5 ⭐.

The food is really good, I didn’t want to do a review until I had tried a couple of their options. Their Po boys and calzone’s are incredible and they do have vegetarian options. Now what really stood out for me was their salads I had the grilled veggie salad paired with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing it was amazing! And the portions well proportioned. Keeps me going back!

Absolutely loved our visit to Il Forno a Legna! The pizza was incredible — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly wood-fired with that delicious crispy crust. Definitely a new favorite spot for authentic Italian pizza!

The service was friendly, but I was disappointed with the food. The Carbonara pasta sauce was overcooked and lacked the freshness I expected. I was also surprised by a $12 upcharge for just four pieces of shrimp — it felt excessive for what was offered. I really wanted to enjoy the meal more, but it didn’t live up to the price.

Been here twice now, once for a friend’s birthday and again for an anniversary date. Amazing food and service, very busy during the evenings/dinner hours so I highly recommend getting a reservation (as we had done).

From the moment we stepped into this cozy Italian gem, we were greeted with warmth, charm, and exceptional hospitality. The entire staff made us feel like family, and a special shoutout goes to Zach, our waiter, whose attentiveness and knowledge elevated the entire evening. His recommendations were spot-on and made our dining experience truly unforgettable. We started with the calamari, perfectly crisp on the outside, tender on the inside—an absolute must-try. But the real star of the night was the BRANZINO AL VINO BIANCO—their signature dish. Delicately prepared, bathed in a light white wine sauce, and bursting with Mediterranean flavor, it was a masterpiece on a plate. And just when we thought the evening couldn’t get better, along came the tiramisu. Light, creamy, and rich with espresso flavor—it was simply to die for. A sweet ending to a perfect night. Grazie mille to the whole team for such a delightful experience. We’ll be back—soon and often!

Bodega Tavern & Kitchen is a popular spot in McAllen, known for its unique craft cocktails and New American cuisine. The restaurant offers a hip, modern-rustic ambiance with outdoor seating. The menu features innovative dishes that evolve to showcase locally sourced ingredients, such as the Bodega Benedict which puts a twist on the classic brunch dish with fried eggs, creamy avocado, and poblano hollandaise sauce on buttermilk biscuits.
The freshest ingredients prepared with love and care. Every dish is incredible. My goodness, where do I even begin with this place? We try to visit at least twice a month because it’s the perfect spot to unwind with dinner and drinks after a long day at work. We’ve been coming here for the past 2–3 years, and every visit has been amazing. Whenever we have friends or family in town, this is our go-to spot to bring them. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. As you can probably tell, I love their burgers. The only downside is that the menu and drink options change from time to time. It can be a bit of a letdown when you fall in love with something and it disappears, but I’ve come to appreciate the rotation—it gives me an excuse to try new things, and I usually end up loving those too. I still miss the Sweet Escape cocktail with the little flame on top—it was one of my all-time favorites, but it’s been off the menu for a while now. I highly recommend this place to any burger lover, but there’s so much more to enjoy. The meatloaf is superb, the chicken avocado Caesar salad is amazing, the fish sandwich is fantastic, and the calamari is super tasty. I’ll definitely keep coming back and recommending this gem to everyone I know!
Syd C — Google review
Even the simplest burger is amazing bc of the amazing bread and bc the beef tastes asada. The one with wasabi sauce was especially amazing and was not hot. Fries are solid. I did have to flag not staff multiple times both of the times i’ve been, they love to chat loudly with their coworkers and patrons rather than coming back on pending customers. Food is still worth coming for, but this food does deserve better service. Also, both times staff did not know what to recommend based on a specific question, they just said what they like, which was not my question. No training obviously not their fault. Third visit -The taste of the pizza was great, the texture of the bread was interesting…not the best. The burger with the goat cheese was alright. We tried the strawberry mojito and the pina/coconut drink, wouldn’t recommend either. The coconut didnt taste like coconut, the other one was really sour. Our server Alex was fantastic.

The creative touches on familiar cuisine are very much appreciated at this place. The pricing leans towards the unfair side of the equation, but at least the ingredient quality is not poor, so that this is not a deal breaker. Service can be somewhat disconnected, but still polite.

The place is nice. Staff is friendly. But omg the food is expensive lol 7-8 pieces of cauliflower $11. A plate of French fries $10! Drinks are $12+ unless you go during happy hour $7. Won’t be back because it’s too expensive for what you are given. It’s only worth it for drinks during happy hour

We checked this place out a few weeks ago and it was nice. The service was good, talked a little too much but nice. We tried their brunch menu and one item from their regular menu, very accommodating. Some also had a drink. Overall, everyone enjoyed their food except me. The waffles were dense and needed syrup. The chicken breading was very bland, like flour with no seasoning. I think next time, I will try something different. This place had a great atmosphere, seating was also outside and the bathrooms were very clean and nice.

A fantastic place to celebrate or just grab a bite to eat. We went for the Monday special on raw oysters, $0.75 each. We ordered 2 dozens, received a baker’s dozen. We tried their 20 piece botana of chicken, fish, shrimp and oysters with fries. The oysters were a little over fried; however, the fish was lightly battered, shrimp were butterflied and tasted sweet and the chicken were breaded with flavor. We had fried zucchini which had a good flavor. And for happy hour margaritas which had a good amount of alcohol.

Service was...lackluster. I don't know who's training the kitchen, but hair in my food should be FAR from normal in 2025! Almost 30 dollars for a dry chicken alfredo, and I couldn't even have an appetite after. It's going to take a lot for me to come back again.

My husband and I came to this location by the expressway and had the all you can eat salad and soup. Delicious as always but I gotta give mention our service was superb. VINCE was awesome! Super attentive and always checking on us. That's what makes olive garden an A+ service restaurant. Thanks VINCE, we definitely coming back. 👍👍👍👍👍

Excellent Italian food place. Their service is the best and very professional, they make you feel at home!. Their dishes have their original flavor with incredible quality, I always recommend if you are a cheese lover to order a portion of extra cheese!! They have everything from salads, soups, lasagna, pasta and meals for children. The atmosphere, cleanliness and service are excellent. It is without a doubt my favorite place to go to eat with my family! 100 of 100 ! Eccellente!!

I have lunch here periodically and today I came again. To which the restaurant manager asked, was I here 2 days ago, I said, Yes and they returned my AirPods, which I forgot about. I didn't even notice that I lost it. So many thanks to the waiter who saw this and returned it and to the manager who remembered me and brought my headphones. Roy and Maresa thank you so much

I had an amazing dinner experience at this restaurant, and I can’t stop raving about it. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and full of rich, satisfying flavor. It’s clear the kitchen team knows what they’re doing and takes real pride in their craft. What truly set this evening apart, though, was the exceptional service from the general manager Tony Olivares! From the moment we walked in, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Their attention to detail, genuine warmth, and professionalism elevated the entire experience. It’s rare to find a place that delivers not just incredible food, but also unforgettable hospitality. This was more than just dinner — it was a full experience, and one I’ll definitely be coming back for. Huge thanks to the team, and especially the GM, for making it so special!

This place does not respect military veterans for two whole cents , we were denied our food. I Asked the manager if he could make an exception and he said no and that he didn't care that we were veterans. I've been a manager before in my life at some jobs and this is what I would have done. "In lieu of Veterans Day coming up ma'am I'm going to allow you a free meal today and thank you for your service.." Nobody asked him for a free meal we asked him for a slight discount as we were two pennies short. He let my spouse stand there humiliated at the cash out register for the two pennies he is a Desert Storm Iraq veteran served in the Navy eight years and this was atrociously humiliating.

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen offers a variety of Cajun-style seafood, pastas, and comfort food in a cozy dark wood setting with a full bar. The restaurant is known for its generous portions and slightly higher prices, making it an ideal spot for those seeking quality seafood options. While the food can be on the salty side, the attentive and professional service ensures that dietary preferences are accommodated.
Our server Gilbert was very friendly and professional. He made us feel like we were the only ones he was serving. Very attentive. Sonyta was also very helpful in her recommendations. I highly recommend this establishment for every time of occasion.

Pappadeaux always delivers. We got lucky and their crab claws were available. Highly recommend the dinner portion as an appetizer for the table. Fish is fresh and well cooked. Anything seafood they serve will not disappoint. Usually the portions are enough for a to go box.

Going to Pappadeaux’s is more than just going to a restaurant, it’s an event! The food, the ambiance is so unique. Portions are enough for 2 people so my wife and I usually split something. It can be a little pricy but well worth it! Our favorite is the crawfish combo with fried and étouffée crawfish. Plus we always get the Greek salad! We had a big group with us so I got to taste their salmon, lobster and fried shrimp! Amazingly good. Pappadeaux’s is our favorite celebration location!

Really good food and expertly cooked shrimp. Great date spot with ambiance and large selection of Really good food. I was hesitant on their gumbo on the first bite because it was so watery and I like thick gumbo, but it was delicious. Alligator bites were tender and the sauce was tasty on them. Cajun pasta and garlic bread were top notch...only suggestion would be to add parmesan to it to make it fantastic.

This place has amazing service. I had thrown my mother a surprise birthday dinner here last weekend and everything went perfect! Our waitress was a blonde girl named Gabby (I hope that’s how it’s spelled) she was so kind, and patient with everything and everyone. She did an excellent job with making sure the whole dinner went accordingly. This girl deserves recognition for her hard work and dedication!😇👍🏼

We went on Sunday; unfortunately, it’s not what it used to be. The menu has changed a lot, and there are few options if you don’t eat seafood, like my husband. They no longer offer onion rings (even though they did before), the mashed potatoes were watery—almost like grits, the bread was hard, and my dish only came with three small shrimp and the wrong sauce. The glazed carrots were just boiled carrots with chopped pistachios on top. My husband ordered a ribeye, which tasted like the steak was frozen and had not been grilled. Overall, it was disappointing, and we didn’t even feel like ordering dessert. The rice you see in the picture was supposed to be dirty.

Amazing food and excellent service! I had dinner at the bar and ordered the grilled oysters and the Texas Redfish Pontchartrain with dirty rice, absolutely phenomenal! The oysters were perfectly grilled and packed with flavor, and the redfish was cooked to perfection, topped with a rich, savory sauce that paired beautifully with the dirty rice. Every bite was memorable. Big shoutout to Myah and Jac, who took care of me at the bar. They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my meal. Their service really elevated the entire experience. If you’re in Pharr, Texas down in the Rio Grande Valley and craving top quality seafood, Pappadeaux is a must. I’ll definitely be back!

The restaurant is very clean and well-kept. We were seated within minutes of arrival. Our server was great, he delivered our drinks and warm bread relatively fast. Our food didn't take long to arrive. We ordered kids' meals and regular meals. All our food was delicious.

Absolutely loved our experience at Macarroni's in McAllen! The lamb was incredibly flavorful, the vegetables perfectly cooked, and the Caesar salad had a spectacular taste. I can’t say enough good things about my experience last night at Mac G’s!!! I was hosting a baby shower for one of my dearest friends. Even making reservations for the event was a good experience. It’s hard to plan attendees and know how many people will come. Hannah, made me feel so comfortable over the phone. I planned for 20 guests but she didn’t make me feel pressured, if more or less came. She made me feel okay regardless of turnout, like it wouldn’t be a problem at all. It was to be held on a Thursday night and she said we could have the back of restaurant all to ourselves. I was so relieved. From the moment I arrived, everyone opened doors, offered to help me carry decorations and cake from my car. I was first to arrive, and started decorating by myself. A sweet lady came over and offered her assistance with anything and everything. Little did I know it was Hannah, the AM service manager. LOL. I had her helping me with tedious tasks…she busted out her own tape and scissors. She helped me decorate tables, place settings, backdrop, cake table, gift table, thank you table. LOL. She helped me with everything!! I would not have been able to have finished on time without her. I was so grateful. It was then, she told me who she was and entrusted the rest of the evening to PM manager, Mario. And same thing! Really good attention to our needs. Miranda and Christian were our servers. They were both amazing! Miranda, especially, seemed sweet and sincere in conversation. They provided excellent service and were very attentive, professional and friendly. They did not even make us feel uncomfortable about separate checks x20!!! They acted like it was no big deal but to me…. That’s a huge deal! They were super nice about it and said it would not be a problem. Everyone said good things about the food. Good portions, great flavors. And when it was all done, Mario and staff helped carry all of our things back to our vehicles and offered help with everything. Top notch customer service!!! Epitome of above and beyond. Thank you Mac G’s for making my friend’s day even more special!! Grateful, 🌻 Julia

Went in with family for a late lunch and it was great! The food was excellent. The portions were generous and deliciously fresh. Our server, Luis, was wonderful and so was the manager. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. We have never had a bad experience or been disappointed with the food, service, or atmosphere. This Macaroni Grill is the best one I've been too. We shall return, soon. Thanks MG Team!

Haven’t been to a Macaroni Grill in a few years so decided to give it a try. Regretted our decision to come here for pasta. Create your own pasta was $16 and included only 3 non-protein toppings. Portion was small, even for lunch, and the arabiatta sauce was not spicy at all. Lasagna had no texture; the noodles were overdone and not worth $19. To boot, the soup of the day, lobster bisque for $3 add on, tasted more like tomato basil with a strange, seafood-like aftertaste. After sending it back, the server discussed with the manager. And to their credit, they took it off the special menu because it was prepared incorrectly and credited our bill. We used to love this franchise, but the food quality has declined and prices have skyrocketed. We won’t be returning. Kids pepperoni pizza was “really good.”

The menu features an extensive selection of delectable choices, including a dedicated kids menu to cater to younger and more selective diners. I had the pleasure of dining at La Costa Grill, and it was an amazing experience. I ordered the grilled salmon and shared a seafood tower, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were outstanding—fresh and perfectly prepared. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. The atmosphere was also fantastic, cozy, and perfect for both special occasions and casual outings. I 100% recommend this place and can’t wait to go back!

We’ve been in McAllen for a few days, and La Costa Grill has officially become our dinner tradition. The food? Incredible. The octopus? Tender like it had a spa day. The drinks? Sassy, with a tajín rim that said, “I came to party.” The rice? Fluffy and scandalous. The paella? A showstopper, with a crawfish perched on top like it was posing for a seafood magazine centerfold. The salsas roll out like a welcome committee, and every detail—from the adorable presentation to the bold flavors—hits just right. And the staff? Phenomenal. Warm, attentive, and full of personality. This place is a whole vibe. Each time waiter and waitress 5 star service!

South American restaurant
Texas de Brazil in McAllen is a premier Brazilian steakhouse that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Nestled within La Plaza Mall, this upscale eatery specializes in an all-you-can-eat feast of expertly grilled meats, served right at your table by skilled carvers. Guests can also indulge in a vibrant salad bar filled with fresh options and delicious soups to complement their meal. Upon arrival, diners are welcomed with delightful fried bananas and warm bread, setting the stage for the culinary journey ahead.
A very unique dining experience! The price IS worth the service and food. Each nest presented is perfectly prepared with rock salt, and the meats are so tender, you can cut it with your spoon. My wife is not one to ever try lamb; however, she and the rest of my family enjoyed the leg of lamb cuts, the beef cuts, the chicken wrapped with bacon, the flank steaks (fajita), the sirloin, and other cuts presented. The service by our waitress was Top-Tier and on spot! The mash potatoes and the bananas with cinnamon simply amazing. The desserts were very delicious, consumed contently with their coffee. Yes, we will be back in the near future. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience!

I loved it here! We asked for our meat medium well and it was perfectly cooked. The salad bar itself is a good meal with a lot of options. I recommend the cucumber salad and the couscous. The filet mignon was the best! Only gave 4 stars because it is pricy. Spent 156 for two people, including 2 drinks and the tip. The drinks were just okay. Overall, a good place to celebrate a birthday.

I was brought here with my work peers, thanks to our manager, and at first was thinking I wasnt going to like anything since I dont eat meat, however.. they have an entire area of all kinds of salads, and sides. There is salmon and shrimp in the salad area, theres just so many options it was delicious. I am not sure since I do not eat meat that I'd spend that much money just on my sides, BUT if I was taking a meat eater to a nice place to eat I wouldnt mind paying that price and eat thise sides again. Here is a picture of my plate. I was full with two plates and it is all you can eat.

Been a costumer for years. As much as I wanted to love it, the service and food have declined so much. The servers don’t clean our table nor offer to change our plates like they used to. They don’t bring us water, nothing. The meat is so bad too, it’s chewy and not as good. So disappointed, never coming back here. There’s so many other restaurants that are WAY better.

I really wanted my wife to experience this place. We started off with the salad bar (we took it easy there because we wanted to save space for the main course--MEAT) and everything was great. They have different varieties of salads, soups, and cheeses to choose from. When they started to bring the meats, everything they served us was delicious but our favorites were the filet mignon and the lamb picaña. We finally found strength to continue on to dessert and it was delicious (they even decorated the dessert plate--being that on that day it was our wedding anniversary). It was a great experience overall but make sure you're seated when they bring the bill (it's a bit pricey but worth it for special occasions--unless your budget allows you to go there more often).
Rogelio A — Google review
Brazilian steak houses have to rank up there when it comes to excessive indulgence. Skewers of meat brought to your table, sliced or carved right on to your plate. Endless sides and a fancy salad bar all housed in a glass and wood environment. It really is something you should experience at least once. So, let's get into it. A wise man once sang, 🎶Everything is meat, meat, meat. Everything is food.🎶 It seems he was talking about establishments like this. Ripping the bandaid off, yes, you are going to pay a pretty penny to dine here. We went for the more affordable lunch offered between 11 am to 2:30 pm, which is about 30 dollars a person. That gets you the full unlimited salad bar, sides, and meats. However, that doesn't include drinks or dessert. You can also just stick to the salad bar itself for about 23 dollars. The Food. So you have quantity. How's the quality? I'd say excellent. Starting with the salad bar, you have your usual fair, like the mixed greens and Cesar ingredients. There are also cheeses, smoked meats and salmon, slaws, cold shrimp salads, black beans, and white rice. You can very easily fill up on the salad bar and not be disappointed. As for the meats, I clocked about 10 being offered during lunch. Top and bottom sirloin, flank steak, filet mignon, pork ribs, spicy sausage, and several types of seasoned chicken. The beef is all flavored with only rock salt and usually comes to the table medium rare to medium. All of it was juicy, tender, and delicious. I didn't have any chicken, I was there for the beef mostly, but Parmesean crusted and bacon wrapped were a couple of the options offered. The BBQ pork ribs were a little dry but tasty, and the spicy sausage is a personal fav. Aside from the salad bar, other sides brought directly to the table are cheese rolls, garlic mashed potatoes, French fries, and grilled bananas. All of them are tasty, but those bananas are stupidly addictive. I must have ordered at least 5 refills of those. A full bar and wine options are available, though we didn't partake, as well as numerous dessert options, but the bananas were more than enough for myself. Service. It was fine, if a little inconsistent. While we had a main waiter, mostly you can flag any server off the floor for assistance. Also, considering that it wasn't that busy during lunch, it sometimes felt that it took a while for the next rounds or meats to make the rounds. Minor quibbles. Mostly, everyone is polite, professional, and respectful. It was nice to see the manager making the rounds as well. Atmosphere. Very nice. High ceilings with huge glass windows give you a nice open feeling. Everything is warm wood furnishings and colors. It's just a nice environment to be in. For the average 9 to 5 blue collar family, this is most likely a once a year, special occasion type experience. I envy those really blessed to afford to eat here more often. It's a good thing it's attached to the mall so you can walk down the food when you're done. Very recommended.

It was my first time going to this place. Environment is nice, the whole place seemed clean. Service was timely. The food was not my typical menu but I went to try something different.. the Miguel’s queso appetizer was bomb! Firecracker shrimp was also good BUT did not beat the queso one! steak bowl had literally 5 pieces of meat. The Thai grilled pork chop plate was alright, the pork chop was juicy and had a nice flavor to it but it had TOO much of the vegetables and fried cauliflower rice.. so did the steak bowl. But like I say everyone had different experiences and different tastebuds! Nice experience overall. Service was very good from my waitress.

Harrison and his team provided service which was quick and responsive to my needs and desires. The Caesar salad and the chicken tortilla soup arrived in unison with two different servers . Soup had just a touch of a kick to it with some extra crispy tortilla slices. The sauce for the veggies with the tuna was superb. The sesame seed in crusted ahi tuna was good. The sauce for the tuna was excellent. The presentation of the lemons for my tea was enjoyable.

Delicious, -oddly- exuberant and minimalist at the same time. Absolutely unique dishes and obscure Mexican dishes. Portions run small but the taste definitely makes up for it. Extreme attention to detail and overzealous waiters. The manager (I guess she was the manager) stop by our table about 3 times to make sure everything was to our liking. I had no idea that we had such unique places in the Valley.

Very nice selection of Mexican plates and dishes. The view as you drive up looks like an old mansion in white. Inside it is spacious and comfortable. Outside they have a huge covered patio and a relaxing fountain. We sat outside and the temperature was cool but they had big heaters to keep the area warm. Food was excellent and so was the service. Very much enjoyed eating, talking, and mingling with family in a nice relaxing environment.

This place is absolutely amazing! First of all, make reservations!! Whether you sit inside or outside, this is a beautifully decorated place. Staff was great! Food was soooooo delicious. As an appetizer, my wife and I started with Aquachile; it was fresh and light. We, then, shared Birria Tacos and one of the daily specials (I think it was called Pollo Asado, they were chicken pops). Both we very savory and left me speechless, especially the tacos. We finished off with a desert, which was just a great way to end. We were extremely pleased and will be back soon.

I love this spot. If you have not been, or are hesitant to go, you really need to experience it for yourself. I come here all the time! (Seriously- I have more pics of the food here than of my dog.... sorry Jagger!) The service is excellent. You are usually greeted by someone who opens the door for you as if you're being welcomed into their home. When I go with my boyfriend we sit at the bar and order cool cocktails with Jorge (always made with fresh ingredients). When I go with my friends, we prefer to sit outside as the ambiance is pleasant and feels like a sweet escape from the traditional valley scene. There are only a few dishes on the menu that I have yet to try but it's hard not to keep going back to my favorites. It took me quite a while to get around to the mussels, and boy was I missing out. Very impressive. Very different. Very good. I used to get the empanadas a lot, and while I do recommend you try them, I usually end up opting for something else like the huaraches mixtos as an appy. THE HUARACHES MIXTOS though... they're great. 10/10 recommend. I really enjoy ordering the corn chowder, although I don't get it often enough. You can taste the love and great ingredients they put into it. And finally, my last recommendation (except dessert) is the cochinita pibil (braised pork in achiote). It is seasoned excellently and the bed of maiz atole it sits on adds a really interesting texture to each bite and you can't get enough. For dessert- the coco rayado- no question. Also- shoutout to Milton for making us feel like family. P.S. I have to be fair and honest---- One thing I am not a fan of - I have tried the Lomo Ancho twice and don't think I would order it a third. Dish has great flavor, the cut is always cooked to requested temperature, but the strip has some gnarly chewy spots. But I never order NY strips anyway so.. idk

Went here on a Friday after work. Decently packed but not bad. Service we fast and quick. Great waitress. The food was hot and very good. Top 3 mozzarella sticks I’ve ever had. And that chicken sandwich is top tier and amazing and for the price it can’t be beat. Very crispy and juicy.

Excellent Food, Friendly Service, and Great Atmosphere! I recently visited BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, and it was such a great experience from start to finish! The moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and seated quickly, even though the place was busy. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable perfect for a casual night out or a family dinner. The menu has something for everyone, from burgers and pizzas to pastas and salads, and everything looked amazing. I ordered the pizookie trio and it was delicious I totally recommend

First of all they forgot about me and my gf food. I think the food was preheated the fries were very stale. I couldn't even take a picture of my food it was the California Chicken club It was disgusting not good at all. My gf ordered the appetizers and the wings were very dry they had no flavor. The sliders had no seasoning. The lettuce was ugly and wilted. They did bring me a new order of wings which were more saucy but the wings themselves were bland.

First time visit and it exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived until we left, we were treated like royalty. The hostess was so friendly and engaging. Marco was entertaining, had great recommendations and was always available. Kevin, the GM introduced himself, and checked on us throughout our meal. The beer, food and dessert were excellent.

Red Lobster is a lively chain restaurant that offers classic American seafood dishes in a New England-themed setting. Visitors have had amazing experiences at this particular Red Lobster location, expressing surprise at the quality of the food and friendly service. The Lobster Pizza is highly recommended for its flavorful thin crust and generous lobster toppings. Other menu highlights include the huge and delicious coconut shrimp, endless shrimp option, Atlantic salmon, and fish and fries.
Had a great time! The food was solid — I’d give it 4.5 stars cause there is one mussel that wasn't fresh and affected taste of the pasta. But the real star was Ronda! She was super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. 5 stars for her service! Definitely coming back.

Anthony was an amazing waiter, his voice and checking up on us was on point . The Chef today was amazing, had to send our great work on our meals today to him on Saturday July 19th 2025 @ 2:30pm. Even the bartender made an amazing drink. Even the cheddar bay biscuits were melt in your mouth. The mozzarella sticks were crunchy and on point. Today’s red lobster visit was spectacular… keep on being great staff. We love red lobster and will be back hopefully Anthony will be our waiter.

The food was incredibly tasty — everything was delicious, and the meats were cooked perfectly. However, the initial service was poor. We were seated and then completely ignored. Thankfully, a kind waitress passing by another table noticed us and took our order with great professionalism. Another downside was the strong smell of humidity in the restaurant, and the A/C was too low, making it uncomfortably warm. The interior felt old and didn’t match the vibe you expect based on the restaurant’s name. Overall, great food but the atmosphere and service need improvement.

I was on a business trip and this location was next to our hotel. The staff was very friendly Melanie was my waitress she was very attentive and kind. The bartender went out of his way to make me a smoked old fashioned like I make them at home. Very pleasant experience.

We stopped in for a quick lunch at Red Lobster this week and had a genuinely solid experience. Everything was exactly as you'd want it to be. The restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed for a midday meal. The food itself was great. Those Cheddar Bay Biscuits were fresh out of the oven. And the classic Ultimate Feast, with the snow crab legs and scampi cooked to perfection. It definitely hit the spot and was a great value for lunch. What really turned this from a good lunch into an excellent one was our server, Jenna. She was excellent! She managed her tables with ease, always had a genuine smile, and was incredibly efficient. Our drinks were never empty, and she checked on us at the perfect moments, attentive but not intrusive. It’s hard to find someone who handles busy service that smoothly, and she didn't skip a beat. If you’re looking for reliable seafood and outstanding service, highly recommend asking for Jenna! We’ll certainly be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Outstanding Service from Sara R. at Red Lobster My partner and I had an exceptional dining experience thanks to our waitress, Sara R. From the moment we were seated, Sara made us feel genuinely welcomed and well cared for. She struck the perfect balance between warm friendliness and professional attentiveness. Sara took the time to walk us through the menu, offered great recommendations, and checked on us consistently without ever feeling intrusive. Every request was handled quickly and with a smile. She made sure our drinks were always full, our food arrived exactly as ordered, and that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. What really stood out was how personally she treated us—she made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. It’s rare to find someone who brings that level of genuine care and positive energy to their work, and it truly elevated our evening. Thank you, Sara R., for making our visit so memorable. We’ll definitely be returning—and hoping to be seated in your section again!

Established in 1969, this beloved establishment has 663 locations across 45 states, including Pearland, Benbrook, and Corpus Christi. The restaurant is known for its nostalgic ambiance that evokes a sense of simpler times.
Another great stop at Cracker Barrel. The Thursday Turkey and Dressing Dinner was delicious. It could have been a little hotter but I still gobbled up every bite. The chicken tenders were great. They were out of chipotle honey sauce. The other two sauces did the trick . We had a nice browse around the gift shop and got some clearance Giardelli chocolate for 70 percent off. That was a bonus.

Food came out really good and had a lot more than I thought it'd be! Great portion size for the price! Although my server wasn't very attentive and kept forgetting to check on the table when we needed drink refills and we were sat without any plates, so when they finally brought out the bread, I had to eat it on a napkin. The food didn't take too long to come out of the kitchen, so that was nice! Overall, it was a decent experience with great food.
Cakiemakie — Google review
One of the only places I will get breakfast from. I am not a big breakfast person, but their strawberry cheesecake pancakes are absolutely amazing. And their hash brown casserole? Even better. My only complaint is that sometimes the service is slow but this location is almost always filled when we visit. Which explains the wait, but that's what happens when the food is worth it. The prices are also great, not overly pricey and you get a good size portion for what you pay. They also have a gift shop to browse while waiting for a seat or just leaving with a little something for home or your child.

I had such a wonderful visit to Cracker Barrel! From the moment I walked in, the cozy country atmosphere made me feel right at home. While we waited for another member of our party, we enjoyed fresh coffee and the biscuit beignets—they were such a treat! The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was just right throughout our meal. I ordered the turkey meal of the day, and it was absolutely delicious, hot, fresh, and full of flavor, just like good comfort food should be. I especially loved browsing the gift shop afterward; it’s always fun to find unique little treasures to take home. Overall, it was a great experience that left me looking forward to my next visit!

Update: 9/6/24 My dad wanted fish so we came here. Still very clean, food still great and the service was exceptional. We had Abby as our waitress and she was very helpful and always attended us. She also answered some questions we had. Idk how long she has been there but she was very good. Next time I come I'll make sure to ask for her. I also had some blueberry pancakes because I saw someone on tiktok try them and honestly there the best pancakes I have ever had. Update: 4/19/24 Went in to get meatloaf, and let me tell you I was very good. I got the Samper, which came with the chicken and meatloaf and 2 sides that got mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese it was delicious. They all were the sides and everything Update: 02/02/24 Took a phone order and this person who took my order was very nice, polite and respectful. She even waited while I look for the name of a certain dish. Her name is Alex. Anyway no pictures this time but our two go order was pretty good. No complaints. Update:10/20/23 Food was great service was better place was very clean and I like the small shop they have chicken fried chicken is what I ordered. Food was really good, service could have been better but it was ok.

The place lovely inside, really wonderful decorations everywhere you look. I love feel of this place from the moment you walk outside to the moment you get inside. The sampler food was very tasty, really good portions of food for just 8.99, my eggs were cooked perfectly over medium, my ham and bacon were good, the sausage here had a taste i didn't quite like. The coffee was hot and flavorful. My new favorite is Bacon n’ Egg Hashbrown Casserole, I would definitely recommend this one, very filling and delicious. The staff was friendly and courteous. Overall an amazing place to bring your family and have breakfast, i wish they made home made salsa, i would come here more often if they did.

Great service and solid food! Staff constantly checked on us to see if we needed anything and kept bringing rolls to our tables which was great! Are so quick I didn't even get a proper pic of my dish so excuse me if it looks rough. It was the portabello mushroom smothered chicken with a baked potatoes and a Cesar salad. Will be back!

I just think quality of food for the price is not great. Boneless wings are basically the cheapest battered chicken nasty taste compared to a wingstop. Potatoes are stiff and cheese feels plasticky. The only good thing was the bread!!!
Yuri G — Google review
Excellent Steaks, Legendary Appetizers, and Top-Notch Service! We visited Texas Roadhouse this past Tuesday, and it was a wonderful dinner experience! We started with the famous Cactus Blossom, which was perfectly crispy and flavorful—it’s an absolute must-try. For the main course, I ordered the Ribeye and Pork Rib combo with an extra side of grilled shrimp. Everything was cooked flawlessly; the ribeye was tender and juicy, the ribs fell right off the bone, and the shrimp were a delicious addition. The portion sizes were generous, and the overall value for the quality of the food is excellent. Beyond the food, the service truly stood out. Our servers were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the entire dinner. The only small stumble during the evening was the spicy margarita. My wife found it to be too intense and spicy for her taste. While it was well-made, it just didn't hit the mark for her flavor preference. Overall, despite the margarita hiccup, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We left feeling satisfied and impressed by both the food and the staff. We highly recommend Texas Roadhouse!

Bread rolls are amazing, best bread i’ve ever had. i ordered a dallas filet and it was good, but i asked for a medium and they cooked it little too much and it came out medium well, still a decent steak tho. rice was good. prices are pretty good for what you get.

Beer, and Salad was good. Awesome bartendress. Prime Rib was way, way over what I ordered
Dane H — Google review
The food took about 30 minutes to arrive, which I understood since it was a busy afternoon, so the wait itself wasn’t an issue. The problem was the quality of the meal. I ordered my steak medium, but it arrived tough and well-done. By that point I was already hungry and didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes for a replacement, so I went ahead and ate it. Additionally, the butter had a long hair in it, so I set it aside and stopped using it altogether. The sides were also cold. The service staff were friendly and clearly doing their best despite the rush, but for a steakhouse, the overall experience really missed the mark.
Enrique J — Google review
This restaurant is great and the food is always very good. Today I unfortunately got a cut of meat that I was unsure meat the quality standards I am used to and didnt look like the cut was supposed to look like. I politely asked for a replacement Mr. Edgar took my plate back no questions asked and with a big smile on his face. All while the restaurant was absolutely flooded with people dining. Him and my server made sure I had a great night and the correction was made to my order. This was quality and high level customer service and I was highly satisfied with. Thanks Again Mr.Edgar and the Staff for a great dining experience.

As I was finishing my meal near the bar, I overheard a female manager speaking harshly to an employee around 4pm yesterday , instructing her to clock out even though the young woman appeared to be working and cleaning. The situation was uncomfortable to witness and affected my overall dining experience. I work in the food industry myself, and I’ve seen how much a positive and respectful environment contributes to great teamwork and service. I truly hope this establishment fosters a more professional and supportive atmosphere for its staff in the future. Food was great.

All three soups at our table were cold, fried food was room temperature and shrimp tacos left much to be desired. Did not come with spicy mayo as advertised, were baby shrimp as opposed to full size shrimp. Went for Mother’s Day weekend, arrived with bouquet of flowers. Manager and staff were not courteous when arriving. Servers were attentive but could not remember an order. Frozen margarita was very icy and watered down.

Hark, gentle friend, I shall render this review in the tongue of the Bard. Hark, what grand fortune hath befallen us this eve! This very tavern, a jewel in the crown of our city, is a place of wonder and delight. The servers, a troupe of fine and attentive souls, did attend to our every whim with a grace most admirable. Our own Lalo, a gentleman of great kindness and wit, did play his part most splendidly, ensuring our comfort and care with a cheerful disposition. And ere he came, a fair maid (whose name hath slipped from my memory, alas!) did serve us with equal charm, though her watch did end too soon. A minor tragedy, yet one we forgave with a smile. If I were to offer a single plea, a whisper of critique, it would be this: pray, let some cushions be set upon these benches, for though the feasting was a joy, a bit of softness would have made our rest more sweet. Yet, I speak not of discomfort, for not a moment's pain did mar our merry-making. 'Twas a feast for the senses, and a most pleasant sojourn for our weary bodies. Thus, I do commend this place to all who seek a fine repast and service fit for a king. Verily, a truly grand experience.

Mama Mia Pizzeria is a long-standing family-owned restaurant that offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere with brick walls. Customers have raved about the delicious food, including pizzas, calzones, lasagna, and shrimp dishes. The deep-dish pizza has been particularly popular, with one customer describing it as 'spectacular.' Visitors have praised the cleanliness of the restaurant and found the prices to be fair for the quality of food and service received.
We were disappointed. The food was hot and fresh, but it didn’t taste like authentic Italian. I know we’re in the Valley, but still. I expected better. The Italian Stallion family size pizza did not meet our expectations. The garlic bread was only Texas Toast. No garlic. Hardly any butter on the toast. The ambience is fantastic, but the service was below mediocre. We won’t be back, unfortunately. We really wanted to like the food here. We’ll have to wait until we get up to St. Louis or Tulsa.

It is a bit to over empowered with cinnamon a bit to much cant taste the coffee flav it should have was a bit dried not moist as it should been but it was alright. But Pastas are always Great. Came here on my birthday on the 2nd of March on a Saturday, and it was fantastic. My waiter was awesome and recommended me how to prep my calamari it was so good that he added a bit of spice, but the just right kind, i will order this again. As for our main course, always a hit Angel hair Bianco, and Pollo de Carlito always on par trust me the portion looks deceiving but you will get full its very well portioned i always leave stuffed lol and food is super delish highly recommend those dishes. I have no regrets.Always love coming here to this Mama Mia restaurant. Food is always consistent, and if it keeps me like that, I'll continue to come and eat here. I really recommend that this place beats other common pizza restaurants. You won't regret the food here. I just updated recent food dishes. And a most recent pic of their Menu without glare to see prices 😋

We had been here a couple of times years ago and enjoyed the food but were put off by snail paced service. This time was much better. Our server Gigi was great. 30% tip kind of great. The spinach artichoke dip was perfect as we're the entrees. And all was served quickly and with a smile. They've also done a great job of redecorating, so it looks cozy and romantic. We will be back. UPDATE: The food remains excellent, and the servers have all been exceptional. We will keep coming back.

We went here the other day with a group of friends. The food was great, only reason I probably wouldn’t come back here is because of the service. Our server was in a rush to put things on our table wouldn’t ask us a thing and hurried back to talk to her friends. The busser was way more attentive, asked us for refills, asked us about food just attentive overall. This place is beautiful and food is so so good just service needs to be checked.

Everything was perfect! Excellent value, flavor, and quality — generous portions, fresh ingredients, and a taste that truly stands out. The service was outstanding and the ambience warm and welcoming. Definitely one of the best pizza spots in town!

Italian restaurant
Pizza restaurant
Mama's Pizzeria is a charming Italian eatery known for its deep-dish, Chicago-style pizzas, calzones, pastas, and hot dogs. The restaurant exudes the warmth of a traditional Italian kitchen and offers over 50 delectable entrees and appetizers crafted from family recipes passed down through generations. The cozy and romantic atmosphere adds to the dining experience.
First time here. I saw this restaurant featured in the Food for Thought article with a perfect score and decided to give it a try. We were a party of four and ordered the Mama’s Super Deluxe Family Size Pizza, the Mama’s Italian Classic with a side salad, and the French fries as a starter. We really enjoyed the pizza, the dough and crust were baked perfectly. The lasagna in the Mama’s Italian Classic was tasty. The chicken parmigiana and fettuccine Alfredo were just okay for me, but maybe I need to try a different pasta next time to really get a feel for their pasta dishes. Our waiter was friendly and gave great suggestions. I didn’t see any cats or cat hair during my visit as stated in another review. I had a good experience and would come back.

Went to Mamas pizza a Thursday at around 8 or so. It was my friends and I (party of 5) we were seated quickly, no wait. The restaurant feels a bit weird? the tables are set up strangely? Idk felt weird lol. We were sat near the entrance and oh my god is that door loud 😭. Pls fix that door 💀. Everytime someone opened it (which was fairly often) it slammed. My back was towards the door so it was like boom I had to turn around each time 😭. The menu was extensive, which I appreciate. I ended up getting the rigatoni with the sausage along with a soup (I forgot what it was tbh; soup of the day server recommended) The rigatoni came out super fast, but was not freshly made. The food was warm, not hot. Flavor wise it was okay. As my friend said “inoffensive”. The soup was also okay, I would say I liked it better than the rigatoni. The serving is filling tho, portion wise I was satisfied with the pasta to sauce to meat ratio. There was also a slice of garlic bread on the side which was too buttery for my liking. The cup of soup is also pretty large. I liked it okay, but it could use more flavor. The server, Mason was great! Very attentive polite and great at answering questions. Overall I feel like maybe I ordered the wrong thing? I tried my friends plate which had breaded chicken which was pretty good. I’m open to giving it another chance, just gonna have to sit away from the entrance lol.

Look I'm going to call it like I see it! If Mama Mia's is ever closed or full, come to this place! The pizza and flavor are almost identical! The pasta on the other hand is a hit and miss at both places but I do think that Mama Mia's takes a slight lead. Now you might be thinking that I'm hating on this place because I'm just comparing it to another restaurant...but that isn't necessarily a bad thing seeing that I'm comparing this place to some of the best pizza in the Valley!

The atmosphere was a bit solemn upon walking in, but the patio was absolutely beautiful! It is a seat yourself restaurant and we found a table and it was a little quiet with no music playing, only the voices of other customers talking amongst themselves. Our server was absolutely pleasant and polite and gave us plenty of time and help with the menu when we needed it. We started with the fried olives appetizers which were stuffed with cheese and fried and battered in a crispy coat with a side of ranch. They were delicious; perfect little bites and I wish I had more! They were delightfully warm and the ranch was the perfect compliment to them. My son got the kids spaghetti and it came with two slices of garlic bread, which I had a bite of, and it was absolutely buttery, garlicky and delicious. Unfortunately the deep dish pizza was a little underwhelming. We settled for the large and we were given the option for up to five toppings; but we decided on only three, the pepperoni, beef, and fresh basil. The toppings were completely covered in a tremendous amount of cheese, which was perfect because I love cheese. I felt that the toppings were minuscule due to the cheese though. It was a let down because we were told it would be a 40 minute wait, which was fine, but the pizza still somehow came out on the colder side? The crust area was warm, but the pizza itself was not hot enough to enjoy thoroughly.

At first we thought they were giving away the food because of the attitude of the woman who received us from the cashier. Afterwards the food is enough, the portions are good.
Alfonso S — Google review
The pizza pie is my favorite, but it's not as good as I remember, the filling in my last visit was lacking. The sandwich I ordered was mediocre at best, it needed more to be delicious. The seafood pasta was pretty delicious. The server was kinda awkward, we asked for two different checks and insisted to put all in a ticket and at the end he started asking who got what, what a terrible way to do it. Overall an okay place to try Italian food, but I will give other places a chance.
Rick — Google review
Great atmosphere, you can tell they are passionate on what they do. However, waiter was flirting loudly with customers, disrupting the mood and distasteful. Mozzarela sticks and marinera sauce were great, cheese pizza was bland and tasted like ingredients were thrown together with no cohesion. Chicken pesto pizza was ok - but will not order it again.
Baldemar G — Google review
This was my first time coming to this restaurant with my family, and I was excited to try it because I heard so many great things about it. However, I was heavily disappointed. The food was fine. The fried mushrooms were a little cold when we got them. The fried mozzarella was warm and the cheese was stringy, which honestly, was the best part of the meal. The eggplant parmigiana was bland, and the pieces of eggplant were very tiny. Our server came by very rarely to see if we needed anything, and it was almost impossible to find her. After we were done eating, we placed an order to go. We waited over an hour for that order, which is understandable. I know they take the time to prep and make the food, so I figured it was no big deal. When the order was brought out to us, we checked the order and they had forgotten a part of the order. When we asked about it, it turns out that part of the order didn’t even get put in, so we waited over an hour for an order that was only partially put in by our server. We had confirmed the full order with our server as well as a second young lady that came to our table. Overall, the experience was disappointing. I wish it could have been better because I wanted to bring my dog with us for an outdoor patio experience.

Classy place, great service and awesome food. I had the duck and it was delicious. Everyone was very happy with their orders. I also really liked the drink called “Holy Smokes”. Saturday night they had an acoustic guitar player and she was very good. Highly recommend this place for an upscale night out.

Waitress was nowhere to be found, never got our drinks......NOT EVEN WATER! The table next to us went to the kitchen to look for help from the cooks who seemed to be the only helpful people in the place. Very disappointed. Hopefully next visit is better and this was an isolated incident because they do have some really great drinks and atmosphere!

Cowboy Chicken is a long-standing fast-casual chain that specializes in wood-fired rotisserie chicken, along with a variety of Tex-Mex dishes and sides. Customers have praised the DURANGO BOWL, featuring rotisserie chicken breast, ranchero beans, Spanish rice, roasted tomatoes, onions, corn, cucumber, salsa, and avocado sauce for its home-cooked feel and delicious flavors.
We were here on a Saturday afternoon and I am really surprised this restaurant is not packed. The food is delicious and the customer service was great. I am from west Texas and I am not used to yellow cheese in my enchiladas. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas with the Mexican corn and the rice. They reminded me of the new Mexican Mexican enchiladas back home. Nice and spicy with no yellow cheese. My husband had the half chicken and he loved it. He said it was perfectly cooked. The children’s baked chicken was a great size and my boy finished it all. We will definitely be coming back to this place.

I am very pleased with my visit. The service was outstanding, and they were very helpful explaining all of the various options. The meal mostly matched the service as the chicken was well session and the mac and cheese creamy. That banana pudding is the best in the valley. Don't sleep on this spot

I’ve been ordering delivery from here for years and while their food is still great their customer service has definitely taken a massive nosedive. Every time I call to order they tell me they have a brand new system (literally every single time) and so they have to take all my information down over and over, including info you shouldn’t need for delivering food. I’m starting to think perhaps they’re writing down the credit card information and security numbers for their own use. Beware giving out any info over the phone to these people.

I was looking for a restaurant with fresh food options. We ordered the Cobb salad and a special two-piece dark order. The meal was so filling. My salad came with two types of cheeses (one was cotija, I think). It comes with big chunks of chicken, sliced eggs and two large avocado wedges. One of the freshest salads I’ve had this summer. My boyfriend ordered three dark sides, macaroni and mashed potatoes. He thought it wouldn’t be enough but it filled him up fast. The chicken was moist and falling off the bone. (I had a taste.) The service provided by the man at the register was exceptional. Really inviting and a big reason why we plan to go back!

First time trying Cowboy Chicken with the family. We decided buy the family pack for four, buy the cups to reuse another time. They also had a deal, kids eat free with purchase of a meal. We had the coleslaw, street corn, fried okra and bread with the chicken. It also came with Peach Cobbler. We met up with some friends and we tasted the enchiladas with the creamy green sauce, a little spicy but very good! The street corn was delicious! The coleslaw had slivers of jalapeño which made it spicy. The variety flavors of lemonade were great. I tasted the cucumber and jalapeño lemonade, if you love spicy that is the drink. The service was great. We will definitely be back.

My first time trying Cowboy Chicken and it was surprisingly good, the twice baked potaters were the star of my food, they were delicious I'm glad they recommended them to me, I can't say the same for the baked Mac and cheese, they were not that good. The chicken breast was tasty, just slightly dry, the brisket was also good I really enjoyed it, the bread roll was soft and tasty I just wish it came with 2 rolls instead of 1 for the price of the brisket and chicken plate $16. Unfortunately on my second visit I ordered only the brisket and the portion given to me was very miserable, it was so small compared to before (see picture) and this was meant to be a bigger portion as I didn't add the chicken, and the taste of the brisket was just so-so, I wouldn't recommend brisket here.
Rick — Google review
Me and my husband tried their chicken for the first time yesterday and it was delicious! My husbands a foodie and had the owner showing him different types of sauces he could add to the chicken lol. The sides are delicious but my favorite were the beans and rice. Juicy chicken and great service! 10/10

Really fun place for some upscale food. Everything was super tasty, the atmosphere was pleasant and the service was great. No complaints. The brussel sprouts, tuna Tartare, and the filet were all noteworthy! Highly recommended. Plenty of parking and not too busy on a Saturday evening.

El Divino is one of our very favorite places to eat. The food and drinks are consistently excellent (since 2013!) and the restaurant is beautiful with a separate room for private functions. The fillet and Brussels sprouts are the best in McAllen and the burger is very good - it’s the dish visiting friends remember when we take them there. Make sure to ask for Jess, our favorite server, for a great dining experience. She always remembers our drink order, makes us feel so welcome, and is a huge part of why we keep coming back.

Great place! Interesting atmosphere...quiet, 1940's vibe. Eclectic menu but food was great. Service was spot on. Highly recommended, though maybe not a good choice for folks with kids. No children's nenu choices noted.

Great cigar lounge. Very comfortable. Food is great. Just wish I wasn't hurried during dinner and wish kitchen bar would stay open longer. Otherwise, I recommend the place for a date night.
Cosmos W — Google review
Food: divino salad is light and crisp. Baguettes: nothing special, no flavor. Johnny Chicken with kimchi fried rice is subpar especially for the price. Chicken was soft and juicy but the jerk seasoning is strong. Kimchi fried rice is flat in flavor and salty, it’s missing the iconic smoky flavor signature of true well done fried rice. Drink: desert blossom. The alcohol drowns in the sweetness of the drink. Too sweet. Great idea.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Prime. The food a d service were great. Lots of food and drink ordered at our table and I only got photos of the amazing desserts. The brulee was a little bland and slightly over toasted but not enough to take away any stars. Definitely going back and will recommend.

I ordered the prime ribeye, baked potato, salad for us both. I never noticed everything was á lá carté. The steak was very lean, with absolutely no marbling. I'm 60, and have eaten steak in hundreds of different restaurants. This is the first one I ever had to add salt to, just so it had some flavour. Don't get me wrong, it was probably a "prime cut" of the ribeye primal. Just not "prime grade". The potato was perfect. Salad was perfect. ____________________________ Here's the price; $$$$50 x 2= $100 for 2 14oz steaks. $8 x 2 = $16 for 2 dinner Salads. $8 x 2 = $16 for 2 baked potatoes. $8 for 1 unsweetened tea. $8 for one draft beer. $16 tip (sorry to the server. I tipped on the value of the food) ______________________________________ And $100 for this dinner would have still been to much. It was a good meal. But the price doesn't come close to matching the quality. $8 for a baked potato, $8 for a dinner salad, $8 for a 12oz beer, $8 for a salad, and $$$$50 for an á lá carté 14 oz, less than mediocre cut of beef, in a strip mall restaurant. I'm not happy at all. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. The only value they offer is, The staff are excellent. And it's upscale appearance and atmosphere.

Hostess said we must’ve made it with manager which makes even more no sense and I wasn’t given a flower like the rest of the groups/couples coming in. We were still given a table so it’s fine and i had 100 roses in the car from my date so it’s okay lol. I just thought that was weird and even showed the call log/name of individual we talked to and they had no excuse/reason as to why name wasn’t written down for reservation and didn’t offer the flower anyways…

Great food and great atmosphere. Although i feel like we were rushed a bit for some reason, the flavor of the food definitely makes up for this because it was just so good. We tried the burger, the pizza, the pasta, fried pickles, and a dessert. While we ate, we enjoyed some eventful basketball games that were going on. 8-29-25 First visit today for lunch. My wife ordered Blackened Bleu Burger with fries. Said the burger was good, but the bacon was severely undercooked. I ordered Chicken and Bacon Mac n Cheese. The cheese blend is good, could have a bit more but there is enough to cover the mac. There is a rich bacon flavor throughout the dish. You get that bacon taste even when there is none on the fork. There is plenty of chicken as well, but you might not want to stir, or it all can end up in the middle of the bowl. It comes with a piece of bread, that can be good, if you eat it while it is hot. I am not a big bread eater, so left it for last to taste, and realized that was a mistake. Waitstaff was pleasant, and checked on us often. The only other negative I can comment on is the music. We were in the bar, and the music was too loud to try to have a conversation without feeling like we were talking to everyone there. At one point the waitress came over to speak with us, and we could only guess at what she was saying, we couldnt hear her at all

DO NOT ORDER THE STEAK!!! We’ve gone twice. I ordered the steak both times because I decided to give them another chance. The first time, I asked for medium rare and they gave it to me well done. The second time I asked for medium rare as well and they gave it to me well done again. This time I decided to let the waiter know. He went back and they gave me another piece of steak. This one was extremely rare. I opened it up and it was dark Purple! Not pink. Not even red. Literally purple. I told him it was fine, that I’d just cook it at home and he said he would take it back. When he returned the steak was well done again. I gave up. Just problably will never return and I will be telling people not to order the steak there or not to go at all. The steak plate was about $23 and I was not offered a discount, or a return or refund. Paid full price and didn’t even eat it. Ridiculous. Will not be returning. Picture for reference of the 3rd time he brought it back. I cut it in strips to see the inside. I don’t see any pink. I just took it home didn’t eat any on the restaurant.

I have to be honest that I really like Bubba’s 33 food, just about everything is great, but today’s experience was not nice. I invited a friend for his first time and for his birthday, and informed the server from the very start about my birthday friend who was there with his wife and his son, as well as my wife. At least three times I kept reminding the server about the birthday courtesy and we waited even after I paid the ticket but never showed up. I was really disappointed and sad about not being able to celebrate as planned. Ticket Date 07/18/2025, ticket hour 9:40pm, 60038, table 623/1

The pizza, wings, & fries were so good! Victor the manager was walking around, checking on the tables to make sure everything was as it should be. Our waiter Nate was on top of everything, so we never had to ask for refills! We also appreciated that the evening atmosphere was still family friendly. We will be back!

Mikhuna Japanese-Peruvian Cuisine is a delightful culinary gem located in McAllen, where the vibrant flavors of Japan meet the rich traditions of Peru. This innovative restaurant showcases an array of dishes that beautifully blend Peruvian ingredients with Japanese cooking techniques, creating a unique dining experience. The artful decor adds to the ambiance, making it perfect for special occasions like Valentine's Day.
Even with a 4.6 at the time of this review, this place is still a little underrated. The food is authentic and represents the best of the fusion-based cuisine that Peru is world famous for. At this point, I have tasted enough of the menu to vouch for this place being a true "blindfold" spot: close your eyes and pointing at the menu is enough to guarantee you'll have an enjoyable meal, the attention to detailed execution pretty much guarantees that. This is reflected in the exquisite drink menu as well. Service also always seems to be connected and genuinely considerate.

My husband and I came for a date night on a Friday and it was truly an amazing experience. Marco provided us with great food and drink recommendations that did not disappoint! The dessert was even better to end the night with. Get the churros! We plan to return very soon.

Mikhuna is hands down my favorite restaurant in the entire Valley. I recommend it to everyone I know, and it’s become a go-to spot for many of my family and friends as well. We’ve celebrated so many special moments here, which makes this place especially meaningful to me. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and welcoming—they really help create a great experience every time. We’ve been coming here for the past two years and try to visit at least once a month. During Valley Symphony Orchestra season, it’s our tradition to stop by after each concert. We especially appreciate that Mikhuna is one of the few top-tier restaurants open after 9 PM. Their Coco Mule is my favorite drink—so refreshing, especially in this Texas heat! The calamari is fantastic, paired with a super tasty green salsa. I also love their shrimp tacos and lomo saltado. Honestly, I haven’t tried a single thing here that I didn’t enjoy. Mikhuna is a true gem and has become our special spot to relax and indulge in incredible food and drinks.

I visited this restaurant with fairly high expectations, and overall, the experience was good. The food tasted fresh and well-prepared, and the service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. That said, given the price point, I was hoping for a bit more complexity or creativity in the presentation and overall concept of the dishes. While everything tasted fine, the culinary approach felt a bit too simple and didn’t quite match the elevated pricing. It’s not about being overly fancy, but rather about aligning the value with the experience.

What an experience! We went on Saturday afternoon, partially crowded but the service was fair. The tomatoes plantain were good. The ceviche is Peruvian with a twist I couldnt tell what's it different, but it is good different. The melon cake was a very nice surprise.

Something about the hospitality down south. Everyone is beyond friendly. If I could give more than 5 stars for their service I would! We went on an evening that it decided to storm. Only had 2 umbrellas so my sister decided that she would wait it out until the storm passed. It didn’t look like it was going to stop any time soon. Ya’ll a worker went out into the pouring rain and got her with an umbrella! Poor guy was drenched! I have never witnessed this kind of kindness. As for their food! Amazing!!!! We tried their Pulpo al Olivo (Very tender and flavorful. The only thing I would have omitted were the olives) Wistupiku Empanadas (Piping hot and delicious. The sauce that it came with was excellent) Chicharron de Calamar (Batter was crispy, calamari was tender and the flavor was on point) Sopa Criolla (Tasted like comfort. It was so good) Loma Saltado with Ribeye (This was my least favorite. Meat was tender but it was a bit on the salty side) Ropa Vieja Tacos (Very tasty and tender. My only complaint would be the portion size of the meat) Pescado a lo Macho (My absolute favorite dish. It was so delicious). Besides the downpour, we had such an amazing experience. We need this place in the DFW area. Would definitely return if I am ever back down in Mcallen.

Exceptional. Christian was our server, and he was very attentive and very welcoming. The cocktails were delightful. Well made and balanced, beautiful presentation. The dishes were well seasoned. We order the shrimp stuffed avocado, which was presented very nicely, and the seasoning was perfect. We also had the Pulpo anticuchero and the Ribeye. Both cooked perfectly, the chimichurri sauce was very flavorful and complemented the meats perfectly. It was a delightful dinner!

I discovered Mikhuna from online reviews and the restaurant did not disappoint. Our server was Misael - his service was impeccable and his suggestions were delicious. We had an off-menu seafood ceviche, the paella negra and pescado a lo macho. The food was richer than I expected, and the flavors were incredible! Also incredibly reasonable. Above all, I loved the atmosphere and decor. Not only was the food presentation visibly stunning, I was captivated by the mural so much that I took more pictures of it than I did of my food. Im so happy to know about Mikhuna and will recommend to it everyone! Thank you for a wonderful meal!

Rosmani is a top-notch restaurant in McAllen, TX that offers an exceptional dining experience. The establishment is known for its mastery of ingredients and the art of creating memorable meals. While it may not be a budget-friendly option, the portions are generous and satisfying. The menu features a variety of dishes with a focus on Mexican cuisine and an impressive wine selection. Guests have praised the attentive service and the flavorful, well-presented food. Despite being primarily Spanish-speaking, the staff is accommodating and knowledgeable.
The food was delicious, and it looked very fancy mexican food. The staff was very friendly, super cleaned. The atmosphere was great. Overall, it was a great experience. I definitely recommend it. Oh, and the drinks were super good with the perfect amount of alcohol 🍸👌

Definitely a hidden gem! The food was espectacular, and the service excellent. The caption of Fine Mexican Cuisine doesn’t accurately describe how creative and good the food is. The chef combines Mexican recipes with international dishes to make it stand out (such as the gyozas and sea bass). I’d give it 5 stars but thought the dishes were a bit overpriced (although quite tasty, so at least it’s worth it). Would definitely come back.

Jonathan was very attentive and polite. Food was great, served hot with great presentation. We chose the 6 course tasting menu as it was our first time here. The only thing that was inconvenient was that I had to read the descriptions of the plates from the menu on my phone as the primary language of this establishment is Spanish, and very fast at that. We paid 250$ for two, this was an excellent dinner and experience, we don’t have many of these in the valley, so I would definitely recommend you go at least once.

Thing with valley is that, they'll have high end feel restaurants and ruin it with huge TV, and DJ playing loud music, like am I at a club or restaurant? Rosmani doesn't have TVs, does play EDM but low enough that you can have a conversation. Our drinks were great, we ordered the 6 course meal where you choose from 3 for main course and 2 for dessert. Food was different, overall foods compliment each other well. Staff was professional and friendly

MORI Japanese Grill, located at La Plaza Mall on 10th Street, offers a unique dining experience in the RGV with its use of traditional Japanese Robata grilling methods. The restaurant features a diverse menu including lunch specials, cocktails, and an array of Japanese dishes such as Poke bowls, sushi, and seafood. Customers have praised the attentive service and highlighted the delicious Tokyo roll and wagyu roll. The ambience is highly recommended for a relaxing dining experience after a day of shopping.
Server was very straight to the point, respectful, and patient and the food is so top tier I feel very pleased with my experience. The atmosphere makes you feel very nice, warm and ready to enjoy family whether it’s with family or friends, and Fernando did his job so excellent this man needs a raise he never left us alone for too long and explained how every food would taste very accurately. He made the service 10 times better and this is not an exaggeration at all. ❤️

First off, not a sushi fan. That being said, my colleagues from work ordered a table full of sushi and sashimi. I ordered the prime ribeye. The atmosphere is phenomenal and our server, Stacy was top notch. The ladies with me raved about the Japanese food. Plenty of sauces and large portions. The ribeye was really good. It had a definite Japanese flavor and was cooked perfectly. This could be the most tender steak I have ever eaten. I cut this steak with a butter knife. Fun place, upscale, and great food. The staff was very accommodating and I would highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you like teppanyaki, sushi, or fried rice.

Nestled in the heart of McAllen, TX, Espana Nouveau Mediterranean is not just a restaurant; it’s a delightful escape that feels like home. This charming venue serves as a gathering spot for those seeking to bond over exquisite Mediterranean cuisine. With live music enhancing the dining experience, guests can enjoy their meals while being serenaded by talented performers. Many visitors have shared memorable experiences here, whether celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying a night out.
A great date night out. Outstanding service and great food. Each dish had its own unique taste. Definitely one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at. After dinner we went out to the patio and listened to some very relaxing music and had the Holy Smoke drink prepared and presented by the manager himself. Talked with him and the owner for some time. Great people and a must go to restaurant when in McAllen. We will return for sure.

Dining at España in McAllen is nothing short of extraordinary. It is truly a diamond among the city’s restaurants. The atmosphere is both cozy and classy, with intimate spaces and an open area enhanced by live jazz that makes the evening unforgettable. Owner Issac’s genuine hospitality and the attentive staff create a welcoming, magnetic vibe, while the food is beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The cuisine is exceptional—each plate beautifully crafted, layered with flavor, and served with an elegance that matches the ambiance. Combined with the soothing notes of live music and the refined yet inviting atmosphere, the experience transcends dining and becomes something memorable. An absolute must-visit for anyone looking for the best dining experience in the area.

Upon arrival, the establishment was a bit empty. The servers were friendly, but to my liking, the explaining of each dish was unnecessary as it created expectations that were not met. Everything had its unique flavor, but it was still a bit bland. We also came here to celebrate a birthday (it was specified in the reservation) but there was no acknowledgment of such celebration, which made the person being celebrated a bit sad. Additionally, the outside area had a different menu, which I didn’t really understand why…

Last night was such a great experience at Espana. I had called to make the reservation on Friday night and the young lady was so helpful. It was our 5 year anniversary and explained that I wanted to make it very special for my wife. We arrived on Saturday and the hostess seated us and had our table ready. Our waiter was Isiah and he was so great and gave us good recommendations especially since it was our first time there. He started us with our drinks and gave us really good recommendations. We also started with the oxtail empanadas and they were great. We then ordered the camarones del Rey and the Osso Buco. It was a true dining experience. The waiter explained everything as far as what we were eating. The food was exquisite. I rarely find a place that serves great tasting food. We finished off with dessert which Isiah brought us for our anniversary. The whole evening was very special for us and they all treated us like royalty. Definitely will come back.

We visited this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday, and the staff was very welcoming—our server was excellent. The appetizers and main dishes were delicious, and we truly enjoyed the food. However, I couldn’t give a full 5-star rating due to a couple of issues. It was extremely hot inside, and I’m not sure if the A/C was out, but it was uncomfortable enough that I was sweating. Additionally, the men's restroom was dirty and had a very unpleasant odor (like gas stations RR tend to be). For a party of five, we spent $350, so I expected a more polished overall experience. The food and service were great, but there’s definitely room for improvement in comfort and cleanliness.

The food was outstanding—full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Truly one of the best experiences I’ve had in the area. Looking forward to the next visit!

CUSTOMERS BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!! 9/27/25 was my Fiancé’s birthday, I reserved a table 2 weeks in advance for 7:15 P.M. and in the additional notes I wrote that if they could possibly accommodate an area that was a little bit more romantic. When we arrived we waited 15 minutes for a RESERVATION, not to mention us just standing there. Hostess then asked for my reservation twice. TWICE under my name before telling us to just pick out a table. That was strike one, they had no regard for the additional notes I had left. Gabriel was our server, and by far the WORST service I’ve ever had from a server, in my entire existence. We ordered an appetizer, a couple of drinks and the owner maybe( very older lady) came by our table and suggested we order soon since they had a party outside that was planning to order soon so our food can come out accordingly, basically rushing us. It went downhill from here. I felt like trying their pizza and ordered that when Gabriel told me they were out of dough. How are you out of dough at 7pm on a Saturday? You don’t have any cooks to prep inventory in the morning? So Gabriel said” Well if you’re looking for another affordable option I recommend the burger.” He said that snarky comment but I brushed it off and proceeded to order La costilla a la Pimienta as it was my second choice. I specifically asked for the rib to have NOTHING on it, no glaze or any sauce that they put on the rib along with mashed potatoes instead of the sweet potato. They brought out my fiancé’s meal WITHOUT mine, strike two. How are you going to Expo out an order that isn’t ready yet??? Then another 15 minutes go by and my rib comes out and my fiancés oxtail empanadas are already cold from waiting for my food. The rib was brought out with a glaze and sweet potato the FIRST TIME. I kindly told the server that they put a glaze and sweet potato on and underneath my rib as I understood that the kitchen makes mistakes but it is also the servers responsibility to make sure the order is out the way the customer asked for it before taking it out to me. I waited another 10 minutes for my rib the SECOND time and it was brought with the sauce and glaze with sweet potato. By this time I was already getting a bit upset at the fact that I clearly told “Gabriel” how I wanted my rib and he still brought it out wrong the second time. He never apologized for bringing the order wrong twice and proceeded to go back into the kitchen after I told him it’s wrong again. I wait another 10 minutes for the rib the THIRD time and it’s brought with a glaze on the rib with mash potatoes underneath. Gabriel smirkingly puts the plate on my side of the table and asks is it to my liking in a teasing tone of voice. I told him no Gabriel no it’s not. I told you how I wanted this rib and it still had glaze. I then asked for the owner. She came by within 10 minutes taking her sweet time. I told her everything as it is in this review, and she just smiled and said “Well you’re going to have to pay for it” HOW ARE YOU GOING TO FORCE SOMEONE TO PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS INCORRECT THAT MANY TIMES??? That’s when I knew this place was going bankrupt/under when the “owner”is trying to make you pay for something they messed up on. Not to mention on my fiancés birthday? I was livid. I told her respectfully, no I am not, I am not paying for something you all messed up on, if you hadn’t messed up three times on it I would’ve gladly payed for it but now I don’t want to eat here. She started trying to coerce us by saying oh well don’t you just want to have a good time and enjoy it for your fiancé? Trying to coax my fiance with her words and body language to make me stay quiet and “enjoy the night at a place that can’t get an order right” I said look ma’am we’re not eating here so just bring me the check without the rib and we’ll be on our way. She keep insisting after the fact that I asked for the check that the rib is now ready and if I’d like for her to bring it out, obviously a lie to get me to pay for a meal. All in all an atrocious restaurant. Please do not eat here.

This is one of the best brunch experiences I've had in the valley. Bonhomia is a small but powerful cafe. I had the chilaquiles in green sauce with egg and chicharrón and it was amazing. Overall it is what you would want to expect in all tye right ways. We came for the brunch and left happy and full. I have to start off by saying that I did not expect to have one of the lightest flavorful coffee's ive had here in the RGV. I ordered the pistachio latte and added lavender to it. Let me tell you that you cannot go wrong with that combo here and if nothing else just come get this latte. I ordered the fluffy cheesecake pancakes with the peaches, strawberries and blueberries with a cheesecake center. It's almost like a cake sandwich if I'm being honest and tastes just like the description. Its fluffy, sweet, moist and what you would hope a delicious cake would be. The wifey ordered the ranchero style breakfast full of sauce, eggs, and a fried tortilla it's almost like having chilaquiles but without the expectation of having chilaquiles.

Superb! Three of us arrived for lunch and we all loved our meals and this quaint restaurant. The pistachio latte with a shot of lavender was so unique. The mimosa was tasty. The food and service, excellent. Plenty of parking and a clean bathroom.

I wasn’t expecting much, but this place really surprised me! It’s small yet spacious, with a great ambiance. The gentleman who helped us provided excellent service, and he did not hesitate to speak in Spanish when he noticed we would prefer it this way. The food was beautifully presented and delicious — I had the green chilaquiles with eggs and chicken, and they were amazing. The matcha latte wasn’t my favorite, but still better than many other places I’ve tried. The fresh orange juice was great. Prices are reasonable, and I highly recommend the Korean burger with truffle fries. Overall, 9/10 — I’d definitely come back!

Delia's Specializing in Tamales is a local Mexican chain that has been serving freshly steamed tamales and salsa for 29 years. What started as a door-to-door service has now expanded to two restaurant locations, offering gluten-free tamales seven days a week. The tamales are steamed throughout the day to ensure delicious taste and come in a variety of flavors. Customers can order them by the dozen or half dozen, mixing and matching flavors.
My goodness. This restaurant is so good. We ordered a dozen pork tamales, then after we ate those, we ordered two more dozen. One pork and one beef. They gave us salad and chips with some salsa. We can’t wait to go back. So so good. They have so many varieties. We just like pork and beef usually.
Caleb C — Google review
The flavor is not really there anymore idk what has changed maybe the cooks. The chicken tamales lacks ingredients yet when cold they are hard and crumbly the beans, cheese with jalapeno didn't have the jalapeno maybe he gave me wrong ones were not spicy. If you leave them for the next day and reheat wont be the same. The menudo was good not greasy was decent. Idk like the ambient is different at Delia's Tamales it isn't what it was or use to be. So don't expect like a wow, its there still they lack more meat in the tamales I feel its more doe than meat that's why it lacks flavor.
Miatha P — Google review
When people say Delia's Tamales are the best around, they're not kidding! You purchase them by the 1/2 dozen or the full dozen which is extremely reasonable. I had the spicy pork and my wife had the bean and cheese. Both are out of this world! I like that they don't load up the tamal with masa. Very well balanced. Don't hesitate to buy them by the dozen. You won't regret it.

Best tamales we have ever eaten. Had the chicken and cheese cooked in green chili and the spicy chicken and cheese. Will be back to try other flavors. The staff are all friendly and courteous, and the dining room is extremely clean. Really good place!
Susan P — Google review
There was no chicken in the tamale literally the chicken was just smeared on the masa. Definitely a disappointment. Delia’s has definitely lost what they were known for!
Leslie F — Google review
Their tamales use to be the best but not anymore. Delia's raised their price and now there's way more masa than meat. For the people that order delivery from up north, don't waste your money on these tamales. I've gotten them for the last time today, I use to love them but now they're just blah.

This place for sure was a hidden gem for me. A co-worker suggested to go to Delia's so I had to go taste what all the hype was about. I was not disappointed. Tamales in May who would of thought. I ordered the bean and cheese also some beef 🤤 i was speechless. I added the green salsa which adds a kick to the flavour tamales. The restaurant has a nice open concept which you can have space and eat in peace. Overall a surprising tasteful experience. 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸Samsung Pay Certified

I just go this order on 11/11/23 at 9:49 am and while I was eating I found this peace of plastic inside of the tamal. This is so disgusting. How is it that whoever makes these are not careful enough for this to happen. This is poor quality of people and service.

I don’t write reviews for a living! ☺️ But my experience at this place was beyond espectacular!!! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the staff, as soon as we got a table the service kept on a “crescendo”… Maria assisted us with all information of drinks available and made one for us on the spot, absolutely amazing. Bryan, the quality of his service, what a guy, he is all smiles, and always provided answers to all of our questions about the menu, I have not had such a pleasant experience in a long time, the food, the desserts, the service, the place, the ambience, absolutely 10 plus! We had a couple desserts the first night and we went back the next day to have the menudo 😋 and the Cabrito, both absolutely fantastic, maybe the “riñonada” went a couple extra minutes in the oven, but the seasoning and taste was beautiful! We are coming back for more 100 % and maybe one of those days we get lucky 🍀 to say HI 👋🏼 to Antonio, who I follow on his videos! Come and have a good time, and spoil your taste buds with all the menu choices available! 🫶🏼 😊

The restaurant is beautiful and the service was great — very friendly and attentive. We came during the week and it was dead, which probably should have been a sign. The food, unfortunately, was disappointing. My salmon was overcooked (though the vegetables were well seasoned), and the ribeyes were tough and bland — half our table didn’t even finish theirs. The guacamole with pork rinds was good, but it’s hard to mess that up. They did a nice birthday show for us, but overall, for the price, it’s not worth it. Good service, but the food just isn’t there.

I love this place. The food is flavorful and filling. Our waiter (Bryant) was attentive and helpful in all of our requests. I came here for my birthday, and the whole vibe was cute and nice.

Got the ribeye plate and it was overcooked and had no flavor. The steak quesadillas were fire though, and the nonalcoholic drinks were solid. The latte and cappuccino were great too. Dessert we got the stuffed concha and it was just okay. Honestly, the food looks better than it tastes. For what we paid, we should’ve just gone to a steakhouse. Also, the AC is always an issue here —last weekend it was so hot we left, and this time it was still warm and stuffy.
Vianey — Google review
The dining experience was unsatisfactory due to the high cost relative to the quality of the food. Communication was challenging due to the language barrier with the service staff, hindering the ability to seek recommendations. The al pastor tacos and Casa Madre chicken breast, while visually appealing, lacked flavor and were bland.

Nestled in the heart of McAllen, Maison Stivalet is a charming French bistro that promises an unforgettable culinary experience. This family-owned gem beautifully marries intricate design with mouthwatering cuisine and delightful French-inspired pastries. Coffee lovers will be thrilled to find not only exceptional brews but also a tempting selection of pastries, including unique Mexican Macaroons like tamarindo and mole—an exciting fusion you won't want to miss!
I love everything about this restaurant, I recently found it a week ago and as soon as we walk in we're greeted and sat down. The food is amazing and the mimosas are the best. The waiters are incredibly sweet, there was huge party of people before us which made the wait for our food a little longer, our waiter came up to us and explained and then gave us a cheesecake on the house for the inconvenience, which wasn't one at all. I had the omelette and my husband had the steak and eggs and chicken and waffles. Would definitely recommend to everyone

We had such a wonderful experience at Maison Stivalet! Breakfast was outstanding—everything from the flavorful crab cakes to the delicious chilaquiles was perfectly made. The iced coffee was smooth and refreshing, and their beautiful macarons were the perfect sweet touch. We also hosted my aunt’s baby shower in their private room, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. The room itself is very pretty and elegant, creating just the right atmosphere. The servers were attentive and kind, making sure everything ran smoothly and that we felt taken care of throughout. Highly recommend both for a casual breakfast and for hosting special events—Maison Stivalet delivers on both food and experience!

I recently tried Maison Strivalet for the first time after hearing so many great things about it, but my experience was pretty disappointing. I ordered the ribeye steak and huevos rancheros, asking for the steak to be cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, when it arrived, it was well done. I mentioned it to the waiter, who took it back but brought the same steak back, saying he couldn’t cook it more because it was only an 8oz cut. I explained that it was already overcooked and not what I wanted. Eventually, the manager Victor came over with a new steak that didn’t look very appealing—just plain and a bit grey, with some salt sprinkled on top. I decided to give it a try before sending it back, but as soon as I took a bite, I had to spit it out. It felt like it was taken out of the fridge and just put on a plate cold. When I returned it, our waiter was the only one who seemed genuinely concerned and apologized. The manager, however, didn’t really engage or show any interest in fixing the situation; he just stood there, and the cooks in the kitchen just stared. I’ll add that even the waiter touched it and agreed it was still pretty cold. He was very apologetic and embarrassed that they even brought it out to me that way and that it was the manager himself that did so. Considering all the hype about this place, I was really let down. It wasn't just about the steak not being cooked properly; it felt more like a lack of care for food safety and customer service. I didn’t end up paying for the meal, but it’s frustrating that the waiter was the only one stepping up. The manager definitely needs to do better. The first photo is the original steak I was brought with the second one being the one they replaced it with.

This is a great place for friends, family, a date, or a solo treat yourself meal. Highly recommend the chicken and biscuits and the beets with goat cheese. The French onion soup was scalding but good, and the southwest panini was OK. I definitely will return to try more off their menu

This brunch spot has such a relaxing vibe, especially with the lighting. Most of the light comes from the big windows up front, so if you’re seated near the entrance or by the windows, you’ll get that pretty natural light. If you’re sitting further back in the restaurant, it gets a bit more dim and cozy, which I actually didn’t mind. I ordered the French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon, and paired it with an iced Chiapas cold brew. Everything came out fresh and delicious. The French toast stood out the most it wasn’t your average thin slice. It was thick, fluffy, buttery, and had that perfect crispy edge. The whipped butter they serve with it is super tasty, but honestly, it’s just as good without it. I also really appreciated that they used fresh berries not the glazed or syrupy kind. For just myself, the total came out to around $38 with tip, which I thought was worth it for the quality, portion size, and overall experience. The service was amazing and staff were attentive. I’ll definitely be back. I’m already eyeing the pastries behind the glass, and I’d love to try another type of coffee next time. It’s definitely the kind of place to treat yourself to a nice brunch.

I had the Nashville hot chicken and waffles, chicken was spicy which I loved. The waitress was great.. attentive and even took time to explain the meaning behind the name of the restaurant. The pastries we ordered to go were delicious as well. My husband and I went on a week day, no wait time. Note from my husband, they know how to poach their eggs. Oh yes, the coffee was perfect./ Stopped by again on a week day, 10 months later according to my last post, and it was still good..added more pictures.

My first time trying & I loved it. The crepas had a very good taste, not too sweet just the perfect amount.! Have options for sauces, toppings & fillings. Size of crepa is decent. Kids plates also good portion. The place itself is neat. Customer service was also good. I don’t give it 5 starts cause they don’t have cold coffee! I think this is the only thing they’re missing. Which I suggest they should add 😂🤷‍♀️ They have some brunch options. Which I hope to try next. Will be going back

Gluten free savory crepe = inedible. Atmosphere and service are good. The drinks and desserts looked fantastic. They should consider a gluten free bread. I know that would break the brand. But cardboard isn’t a great taste. Cheesesteak was tender and well seasoned.

First time being here as my wife was super excited to bring me here. However, I am very much a person of whom has become very much of a critic. Presentation of the facility was of an absolute delight. Very clean, very tidy, and very well maintained. Cooking area was well organized, and super clean. Personal was well presented, clean very polite and very informative about the products on the menu. Presentation of the Apple Cinnamon Crepe was gorgeous, had a great taste…..However I felt like if the Apple could have been a little more cooked or at least warmed up more….. honestly I felt like if the cook might have rushed the order a bit….of which I didn’t understand why. Please don’t misunderstand my review….I will go back and give them another try and maybe just tell them to cook the apples a little more. All in all very nice place to chill and take a load off and enjoy the company of a Loved One and some good food.

Absolutely loved our first visit to Sweet Paris Creperie & Cafe! The atmosphere was charming, the cleanliness impeccable, and the staff incredibly attentive. We tried a variety of their delectable offerings: Nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas: A delightful blend of flavors that left us wanting more. The Apple Cinnamon Crème Brûlée waffle: A mouthwatering treat that was simply divine. La Canadienne crepe—A perfect choice! The Ham & Gruyère crepe with a side fresh crisp side salad, a savory delight with the perfect accompaniment of a fresh salad. The bechamel sauce was simply divine, and all the ingredients complemented each other beautifully. The crepes themselves were light, not too sweet, and perfectly balanced. Five stars all the way for this wonderful experience ✨!

Nestled within the vibrant Main Street Plaza in McAllen, Gelato Station stands out as a delightful culinary treasure. This charming spot is the brainchild of a creative duo who have crafted an array of unique and mouthwatering treats that keep patrons coming back for more. Each visit offers something new to savor, from their delectable Japanese cheesecake—now available in personal sizes—to their scrumptious milk bread filled with jelly that leaves taste buds dancing with joy.
Let me start by saying the customer service is the best ive had, very friendly and kind people. The milk bread is DELICIOUS, the strawberry one is filled with jelly and TASTES SUPER GOOD. Nothing is near this level in the valley. I highly recommend trying these, a little pricy but good. The drinks are really good as well, better than most of the boba places nearby, they make everything fresh in their store. The cheesecake was okay, it just tasted like cheese. Its not bad, if it had more flavors (they might) i would say it could definitely be a contender for best product. It tastes wholesome, just not too much flavor. Still recommend to try it. The other items on the menu look delicious, definitely have a returning customer. Will come back to try all of them. The best japanese style desserts currently in the valley!🔥🔥💯💯
Mario J — Google review
I’m a huge fan of Japanese cheesecake and have tried it all over the country. I usually drive all the way to Brownsville just to get my fix from a little shop that specializes in them. Yesterday was my first visit to The Gelato Station, and although they were sold out of most items, I put in a pre-order for their Japanese cheesecake and the purple yam bread. While I was there, I grabbed a matcha bread and a cream bun—both were phenomenal, especially by Valley standards! Today, I picked up my pre-order, and I have to say the purple yam bread was exactly what I hoped for—soft, subtly sweet, and unique. The Japanese cheesecake, though, fell a bit flat for me in terms of flavor. As someone who eats a lot of Japanese cheesecake, I wouldn’t judge it based on this one alone—they’re usually much more flavorful. That said, the quality of everything else I’ve tried makes me want to come back and try more. I highly recommend their cream or custard buns—they’re delicious!

Very cool hidden little Japanese bakery, and the owners are super nice and sweet, just like their breads. This is my second time stopping by and both times I've loved what I got. First time I had the matcha bread loaf and it was really sweet and yummy. This time I got the purple sweet potato. It's a subtler pastry so if you don't have a big sweet tooth, I'd definitely recommend this one. I'm looking forward to trying the Japanese cheesecake next time.

Sweet treats tucked away inside the 10th Street Plaza. I stopped by on a Sunday to see what shops were open in the plaza and even though most places were closed, I still found a sweet treat. I tried the Purple Sweet Potato pastries and they're perfect. They're soft and not too sweet. I also picked up a matcha loaf and that one is also super soft and flaky. Perfect to pair with an iced coffee.

I’ve been to this place a bunch of times, and each time I go, I get something totally different. They’ve never let me down! Everything is always so delicious, the owners are super friendly and they tell you all about their products. The first time I tried the Japanese cheesecake, I was blown away! It was so good that I’m glad they now make small personal ones because I would have eaten the whole thing if I got the regular-sized one. Definitely recommend everyone to try this place!

A group of us wanted to get something to eat and this was close to our hotel. There was 9 of us going, it took a little to get seated. Once we did we got our drink orders in, 8 waters and 3 alcohol beverages. It took a while to get waters, it didn’t make sense. Once we got our drinks we placed our orders. The food was good but things came out one at a time. So timing was weird for it meaning we stayed longer than needed to finish. A couple items were missed, dressing for salads, lemons, refills. It just seemed like they weren’t prepared to take on a party size like that. It was 7:30ish in the evening so nothing too late when we arrived. With that being said the food was good and the drinks were great. Just a disappointment with the service. I would order to go next time.

The bar service is below par, lots of people waiting in line, only one server during peak hours… this may because hotel is trying to curb happy hour drinks….. by far this place is on a down hill path… Corning Inc, look for another place to lodge your employees….

An update: we have been to this restaurant a few times. A great improvement! The food was better and especially the representation of the food. Our server was fantastic and very attentive of our table. She made sure the kid meal came out with our appetizer and drinks were delivered a little bit before. I included the chicken tortilla soup and the stuffed jalapeño to see the improvement. This restaurant is in Embassy Suites, nicely located. The service was okay, not sure if they were short of people or not. The food was good, from the lunch menu. The chicken tortilla soup could have used some chicken in it. The happy hour margaritas were great!

Went yesterday with the whole family. The service was not great, two out of 6 of orders came out wrong multiple times. Staff does not know their own menu. Our drinks were incorrect. We had to ask multiple staff members for drinks, waters, etc. Decided to give it another shot today with a pick up order - I repeated my order multiple times to the staff member, and it still came back incorrect. I've worked in a restaurant before, so I understand how difficult it can be sometimes - but when there's only one table and more than 6 people on the floor these mistakes should not be happening. Very disappointing. The food was not even intact when I got home because of how poorly it was packaged. :( Edit: came back and received amazing service, the food came out quickly and perfectly and we were well taken care of. Forgot to take a picture of the food before we ate it all because it was so delicious! But I added a photo of the margarita I enjoyed! Definitely redeemed themselves! :)

Poncho's Restaurant is a casual Mexican establishment that operates around the clock and offers an extensive menu, including a breakfast buffet and happy-hour specials. Customers can enjoy dishes like pork chops and Pechuga Reynosa, which features a flavorful Poblano sauce and Mozzarella topping. While some items may have been slightly overcooked, the overall taste of the food is good. It is worth noting that reducing the amount of salt in the dishes could enhance their flavors.
My husband & I are here in the Valley visiting his family and his sisters were like "OMG, you need MUST go to Ponchos!!". We have a Ponchos in the Dallas area and it's grimy & disgusting 🫣 so I told them I wasn't interested in going to this one. One of the sisters showed me pictures of the food & that's what got me to come here with them. This Ponchos here in the Valley is nothing like the garbage in Dallas I can promise you that!!!! Great service and phenomenal food!!! The fajita tacos were the best thing I ever had 🤯🤯 That meat was cooked perfectly. The rice & beans were great as well 😋 I enjoyed how a gentlemen playing guitar would come around with his guitar & sing at your table, then another gentlemen would come around with roses 🌹 to buy 😍 What a wonderful experience ❤️ 💖 Thank you Ponchos!!!!!

Very large indoor Mexican restaurant. It’s lost its appeal over the years. The service becomes a little weak when serving large parties. We’ve had the fajita botana platter and have been very satisfied. Portion sizes are large. Rice and beans taste authentic. Their chips and salsa are also good. Nice added touch with the traditional Mexican colors and decor. The large fountain in the center tie it all together.

We went to Ponchos.. because we were feeling nostalgic about the old Ponchos that was in Pharr. This place has gone down hill badly,to put it very delicately. We walked in and it was Saturday afternoon, it was not busy at all. Even with that.. we had to wait to be seated because the servers were discussing who would take us on and seat/serve us. Then.. the server asked rudely .. "how many?" To which we just signaled her.. 4 fingers. Then..we entered..and she didn't even attend us.. someone else took over. The place was HOT and had fans on..and it smelled badly.. our food wasn't great. I ordered 1 lb grilled fajitas..and it wasn't 1 lb at all. It was at most more or less 1/2 pound and a bunch of over grilled onions and bell peppers. This was served on a hot comal plate.. and it had about 3 decent sliced fajitas pieces .. the rest was burnt crisp edges tid bits of meat. All this while..we had 2 other servers tend to us. We didnt even know how or who to tip. We left a tip just out of courtesy...but the service and quality didn't merit any of it. Honestly will NEVER be going back ever again. I dont recommend it at all.

They are not like our typical Texas Jalisco, Mexican restaurant; they stop breakfast at noon on a weekend, prices are outrageous, especially with subpar food. Oh, and their "sopapillas" were $20 for chips doused in sugar and cinnamon and served with oatmeal 🥣 IDK. Why? They had NO honey...The waitress we had was MIA 95% of the time, and a Silver Bullet train when she did bless us with her presence-we couldn't get a request in as she zipped by! Every week they have specials, so they'll have for example a pad thai that isn't on the menu but you can get it for that whole week. They also have new beer Thursdays. And they are so consistent with their instagram too so you always know what their weekly special is or what events they're going to have. I miss their movie nights though. Bring em back! Overall one of my favorite spots in the whole valley.

Went with some friends to hangout in the outside tables. Very chill. Good was very good as well. All I can say negatively is that the tables outside are very sticky.

Trivia is so much fun! Came in first place for the Game of Thrones and the food/staff were great! Definitely coming for more trivia’s

I try to come to the jazz event stuff. It's really nice listening to the live music in the outside area. The burgers we had here were great. The chips with cheese on the other hand weren't that good. I wouldn't get those again for sure. Last time we were here I got a fly in my beer still full glass. And the manager said that if I wanted a new one, that I would have to pay for a new one. Which dulled the experience a bit not gonna lie but the server was so nice for giving us coasters to cover the drinks after that. That was pretty sweet of her. Her service was the best.

Always great service and delicious devouring food. Waiters are always kind and helpful. Always on top of things and are always checking on the customer😊💯 Food is definitely delicious and of course the wine. They a variety of beer for anyone who drinks or wants to try their domestic and imported beers. Excellent place to celebrate birthdays or any other special occasion. Friends, food, beer, wine makes Roosevelt's at 7s my kind choice for a good time.

I love the quality of the food the chef produces at this restaurant. My favorite thing about this place is they keep the kitchen open until 2 am. Pet friendly!

Don Pepe's Mexican Restaurant and Cantina is a beloved staple in McAllen, celebrated for its authentic Mexican cuisine and vibrant ambiance that transforms every meal into a festive occasion. Diners can indulge in classic dishes like enchiladas, tacos, and tamales, all bursting with traditional flavors. The lively atmosphere is further enhanced by exciting karaoke nights where guests can showcase their singing talents.
Great food and service. They told me they don't allow SLEEVELESS SHIRTS. OK but apparently tube tops are OK TO WEAR. Talk about double standards. If you do it for 1 person they need to do it for everyone.

This restaurant is beautiful and we had high hopes. It was not very busy and service was painfully slow. Slow to be seated and slow to get drink order and check. Once food was ordered it was reasonable amount of time but everything else was like a 🐌. The food was just okay, certainly not bad by any means but just needed a little more flavor and was expensive for what we got.

My experience was not great. Yours might be different. If you have time to wait on mediocre service, this is your place. Wait times were long for everything. It was not busy, and they were well staffed. However, it took way too long to get drinks and chips, and then to order our food, it was another long wait. We had to ask for our check 3 times and two different waiters. We even asked the hostess if there was a cash register we could pay at, and they said we had to wait for our waiter to cash us out. The best part of the food was the salsa it was nice and spicy 😋 .... I had the fajitas. They were dry and tough. The rice was crunchy, and I never got my tortillas, so I can not give any feedback on that. Due to our waiters' lack of attentiveness, we didn't get refills on drinks either. The restaurant is cozy and clean. They have some indoor plants in decorative pots. I would say if you're in McAllen and want to have a sit down and chat style of meal, this is your place but dont go hungry cause you will have plenty of time to sit and wait!

This restraunt had it all. They had great food, great seating, awesome decor, l8ve music, and waitress was super, super great!. . She had our food served up quickly, and placed it so professional, and her recommendation were on point. She attended us professionally, and promptly. Our glasses never ran dry, and was so polite, that made our visit feel like a 5 star restraunt experience. She talked, smiled, laughed, and gave us great recommendation based on our tastes and likes, and she was on point on menu recommendations. Best waitress we have had in a long time. The live music was great and it filled the air with melodic ambience of an old western town in central Mexico. It felt old school, with a twist of modern flair. It was clean and smelled so great in the restraunt. The spices, herbs, and plates going out from the kitchen made your mouth water, as the waiters would pass by delivery their culinary master pieces. I will definitely visit this restraunt when I go back to McAllen,Texas.

We went to the restaurant with some family for dinner. The atmosphere on the outside of the building was very pretty and I love the architecture and art work. As we went into the waiting-room to be suited the chairs were coming from comfortable and we had to weigh a good amount of time but I'll forgive both of those because we were a larger group. This meeting was very nice and the tables and chairs are comfortable. The lighting inside was absolutely terrible and it was very cold and uncomfortable. There was a few really weird decorations the electric cheap and out of place. The food when it got to us it was cold because they had waited to give all of the food to us at once. It felt to me that the beverages and lemonade that we got was only made of ice and hardly any liquid inside.

Not locals to the area just in town for a couple of days, had a rough day at work and wanted a good meal and cold Beveridge. Outside looks nice, there is some sort of little water area with some fancy duck and other birds. I love birds so I quickly went to see them. Got inside where my husband was already sitting and seemed annoyed. We were unaware it was a strictly Spanish speaking staff. My husband tried to explain that though he is of Mexican descent his Spanish is not that good . So commication was challenging for this meal. We ordered a Modelo beer with lime but it arrived with a salted rim and a lemon. I ordered a mango margarita with a sugars rim, but it arrived with a tajin rim and sprinkled on the top, not the the flavor profiles either of us were expecting. Fine, we just drink our drinks. Hubby wanted the mixed platter that I guess usually are beef but hubby wanted chicken so we tried "pollo" to get the point across and I got chilli rellano, queso, so I was hoping for cheese. Food came and was fine. It wasn't bad, it wasn't super flavorful, it was fine and filled our stomach. I felt there was too much cumin in the rice that it was overbearing so I didn't eat it. The resteraunt staff all wore white coats which gave the appearance it was going to be more elegant or more flavorful, for me it just didn't hit the mark. The communication issue was also an issue for us.

My beautiful wife and I decided on breakfast. She wanted menudo and I have been craving guevo rancheros for about 3 months now. BOOM!! Jackpot!! Double satisfaction for her and myself. Great food and great homemade flour tortillas 🤤
