We always come here when we are in Khao Lak, every time has been nothing short of magnificent. It’s the perfect spot for an amazing night. Every meal, dessert, and drink we have ordered has been absolutely delectable and consistently prepared to a very high standard. Our go to favourites are the cold cut & cheese board, the Andaman lobster bisque, and the Devasom citrus salad - all must-tries. The sea breeze and the stunning view truly elevate the entire experience. P’Tommy and her team are always welcoming and great you with a smile which makes the visit even more special ❤️

Had a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant is located by the pool, offering a relaxing atmosphere. I ordered a light dinner. The food was delicious and well-presented. The staff were very friendly and attentive, making the evening even more enjoyable. Would definitely come back again!

Fantastic food and brilliant service. We had fantastic meals here and would recommend to everyone. Steak was wonderful, as was the rest. Beautiful Khun Pui looked after us every single time with a big smile 😁 We won’t forget her hospitality! 🥰🥰 Khun Bao also amazed us with his skills, including the fire show! In my opinion this is the best vegan friendly restaurant in Khao Lak. Thai dishes are really good and can all be made vegan, while western dishes like sandwiches or wraps are also available. They also have oat milk for tea/coffee. The staff takes real good care of you and your needs. They understand veganism really well so just sit back and enjoy the delicious meals. They accept card for payments with 3% markup, and have fast wifi. While Beyond The Root is fully vegan, in terms of hospitality and service Qcumber really outshines it.

The food was delicious. I would recommend the chicken sandwich(the bun was crispy and tasty, cheese was great too) Tom yum was also good. The grilled pork was dry though. The atmosphere was great, old vintage tables and chairs. Service was okay.

We tried the spicy spaghetti and the massaman curry , both were very nice ! The place is cute and just at the khao lak bus stop so it’s very convenient to reach here . The staff is friendly and the food was freshly made.

A cute little restaurant with both western & Thai food. We came with the goal to eat a few Thai dishes, so I'm not sure this place was the best choice as they declare themselves that their specialty most recommended dishes are actually the western ones (such as make your own salads, wraps, western salads like caesar, etc.). We ordered a chicken gyoza, spring rolls, garlic pepper pork, grilled pork salad & a sweet corn salad. Out of everything we ordered, we liked the sweet corn salad & the chicken gyoza the most, while the rest of the dishes were ok, but nothing too special that was worth coming back for. The grilled pork in the salad was kinds dry and chewy, and the ingredients of the salad didn't make sense to me together (although its sauce was delicious). The staff was kind, but considering the level of the food & portion sizes, we found the prices quite high, so it also wasn't a high VFM meal. To conclude, if you're planning on eating here, I'd probably recommend going for the western dishes and avoiding the Thai dishes.

We ate here all 4 nights of our time in Khao Lak and would highly recommend. They had gluten free options which was amazing and I enjoyed each dish I tried. Additionally, the smoothies and homemade ice cream were so good!! Such friendly owners and kind service, wish I could go back every night!

I went here every night I was in Khao Lak. Cannot recommend enough. They know how to make dishes gluten free which was awesome. Tried something new every night and it was all delicious. Smoothies, wraps, Thai food is all a must try here!

Third time back to Memories over the past 10 years. Always a vibe. Lots of construction this trip but progress is always a good thing. The new surf club looks promising. Has become a bit pricier than it used to be.

A beautiful surfers paradise. Crystal clear waters which you can walk into with soft sand underfoot. Off beaten track so take a taxi. Don't stay past dark though as critter do come out. Was my favorite beach in Khoa Lak although there is not a bad one. Defo worth a visit

Food took very long to arrive. We ordered chicken curry and tomy yum soup both in the conoconut. The curry was amazing,maybe best i ever had.but the tomy yum soup was really disgusting, with an auful smell. Was nice from them to actually remove it from the bill.

Really nice place to chill, eat and surf. Around 150-200 baht for burger with fries. 100-150 for traditional Thai food. Rent a surf board for 800 a day and do some nice surfing for the whole family. The waves are good for beginners and also fun for medium surfers. //This Recension is in beginning of January

This is our worst food experience in our 14 days holiday. We orderd an apetizer and some kind of coconut dish with seafood and Hawaii pizza. They asked if we would like the apetizer before our dinner, or at the same time. We asked for it at the same time, but it came a long time before the dinner. We waited for over an hour to get any food at all. The coconut dish only came with squid and the pizza was a joke. The pictures showing the pizza was a pure lie, it was half the size and it tastes like a bad frozen pizza. We asked the waiter about it, but he said it was the way they served it. The food was overprised, and the food was dissapointing. STAY AWAY.

If you love surfing. I would like you guys to take some time here at Memories beach 🏄🏽‍♀️. Don’t be afraid for the first time surfing. There are many teacher to teach you since beginner. So i can do surf you can do surf either.

They have price fixing and not everyone wants to negotiate the prices of certain goods. The assortment is rich and they also consider tourists to be rich. Some sellers believe that if you want to know the price, you have to buy it. The food is delicious and at good prices.

Busy and hundreds of stalls, be careful with prices and haggle well as a tourist market they charge a premium and the next shop over will likely be half the price.. good fun though and great selection of Thai delights.. food choice is great with local specialties such as crocodile and bugs!

Mix of food and product vendors, many selling the same items (you may prefer to browse through entirely first before buying). Minimal bargaining possible, catered for tourists. Overall not a must see. We liked the ice cream rolls and joined a long line which moves slow only because each order is made with theatrics. The end result is airy and light. Taxis / tuktuks available along main road end of market with flat rates back to hotels (pending distance).

It’s a big night market that caters to tourists. You can tell as no locals eat or buy anything from there. The store that sells clothes and stuff are repetitive and the usual tourist goods, there are no price tags and prices and 2-3x that of shops out of this area. There are much better night markets that local go to for a better overall experience.

Loved our visits to these markets. Good range of local and knock off products. Always worth bargaining and you get better results if you are pleasant and happy.

Good local food, wide variety from scorpion to crocodile. On the other side a lot of fake and cheap clothing which it feels that is there only for the tourists, nothing to do with authentic Thailand.

Great restaurant located just next to the market. It was busy every time we walked past. We had a mixture of Thai and western food, it did take a lot longer than expected for the food to arrive but when it did it was gorgeous. The staff here are very friendly and let us know the kitchen was closing if we wanted to order anything else. Little bit more expensive than other restaurants but worth it.

Great food, lovely staff, and owners. It is a must to visit during your stay. And the swedish kebab was fantastic. They had really nailed the taste of home away. Kebabsåsen var grym.

Great resturant for autentick thaifood. They have european food as well but i can get that at home. The food tasted good and came fast. The vaiters were very attentive and made sure that everything were to our satisfaction. There were a nice atmosphere and one of the more quitere resturant we tried this time in Thailand. It was a nice change from eating at the marked yesterday.

Went here for a casual dinner and really hit the right note. Had three mains and a cocktail each between the two of us and all were very nice and only cost $50 AUD.

The prawn with tamarind sauce was delicious! At the end they gave me warm water with lemon and tea to wash my hands… very good service! My daughter had the pizza and she liked it as well. Husband had the massaman curry and he want to leak the plate.

We can only recommend this restaurant. - good and authentic food - seafood fresh (unlike other places) - very kind and also very attentive service (in comparison to other places around - it‘s the best we‘ve experienced) - the degree of spicyness was asked while the order was taken and the food was as spicy as promised (also unlike other places around) - prices are moderate - food portions too If you are looking for a solid and good restaurant, you won‘t be disappointed here.

As a Germany person who’s been to Italy a lot and know authentic pizzas, I can say that this place is quite good! It’s nothing compared to original pizza of course but they get pretty close to it and that’s hard to find out if Europe I guess! Staff is really attentive, friendly and motivated and the service is really good. Pizzas were yummy, but prices are for Thai standards relatively high. Nevertheless, 10/10 can only recommend!

Service - okay. The taller waiter came off slightly arrogant bemused in why I was taking photos of the food :) Seafood Spaghetti marinara bland, definitely needed some seasoning in the sauce base. 3/5 Pizzas, overall taste were good 4/5

Amazing Italian food! Loved every dish we ordered; the classic pizza margarita, penne al formaggio, baked gnocchi and pesto spaghetti! We had bruschetta and zucchini fritters too, but those were just ok. Finished it all with the homemade amazing pane cotta, tiramisu and banana split. The staff were quick and very pleasant as well! Highly recommended!

Finding an open restaurant at 2pm on Sunday was not an easy task. We wanted Italian and all of the other places were closed. We were happy about this. The food was on par with what you wood expect. No complaints. The service was excellent. There were only two tables in the restaurant, but our server was very attentive. Also, all of the food was discounted 30%. Bonus!!

Perfect pizza, great attentive staff, the best Italian restaurant in the south , authentic Italian cuisine! ... people who write a bad review often getting paid by the competition. I go there nearly every day when I am in that area and the food is always delicious fresh and Ramon is a great person. Speaks five languages and cares a lot about his customers. People who say 320 bath for a pizza (10$) is too expensive have no clue about import prices for food from oversea in Bangkok you pay easily double. I love this place

This place is delicious!! They have a great tenderloin steak deal, 490 baht and its a choice steak!! Big thick cut of neat, cooked perfectly. The pasta is possibly the best ive ecer had, cooked and made in house. Everything here was great!! I qte 2 steaks in like, 16 hours, then went back for the fettuccibe alfredo and the tortellini. Bruschetta is fantastic. The owner is a nice guy, threw in free ice cream for my daughter, lemoncellos for the adults ❤️❤️❤️🙏 great place

I used my dining voucher to try the course menu at Sakura Restaurant. The tonkatsu and maki were both delicious, and the fried ice cream was an interesting and unique dessert I tried for the first time. However, the tenderloin beef in the main course was a bit tough and not very flavorful — I believe it was more due to the quality of the meat rather than the chef’s cooking. Aside from that, all the other dishes were excellent, and overall it was an enjoyable dining experience. Personally, I recommend sitting at the outdoor tables in the evening — it can be a little warm, but the atmosphere is wonderful.

We had a 3 course meal at Sakura in JW Mariott hotel. The menu looks good with also a variety of vegetarian option. I ordered a sashimi moriawase and a maki roll, which is Sakura’s specialty with tom yum sauce. The sashimi was a huge platter, can feed about 3 pax. I like the maki with the unique sauce. For dessert it was French toast with ice cream. Service here needs improvement as it was rather difficult to get any staff attention. Ambiance in the restaurant was nice, except that it might be a bit smoky as the ventilation at the teppanyaki station was not too good.

This was an unforgettable experience for us. They give you a welcome drink and the service is excellent!!! GAM was patient and caring. The food was delicious. I took the salmon on skewers and the seasoning was perfect. Also I took one of the beef dishes that was perfectly done! For dessert, I ate the French toast and I really recommend it. Wish I could come back here.

UPDATE: returned after three years, not much has changed, which is a good thing - food still really good - our favourite dinner restaurant at the JW , although unlike last time there were no teppanyaki shows during our visits. Parents bringing their misbehaving kids and then ignoring the situation remains the norm. Original: Really good quality food, friendly and efficient staff; enjoyed set menu teppanyaki and a la carte dishes. Only negative - way too many loud and misbehaving children, but that's a complaint towards their parents, not the restaurant itself

We waited over an hour to a table, once we got in we also waited over an hour to get our food. The cocktail was bad, you can taste the syrup flavour, at a place you would imagine it will be handmade. The sushi where bad, cut too big, the rolls weren’t tight , and wasn’t close to the way they have been describe. The main dish…. Well not Japanese, the vegetarian Karamn , tasted more like Indian dal , and the Gyn don was over cooked, flavourless and mediocre Lastly, we waited over an hour before each course … So very over priced, with ok food

It’s our first meal when arrived at the hotel. It locates near the pool, nice peaceful atmosphere. Food is good with the prices.good service.

We had a great time at the restaurant. We stayed on until the monsoon rain passed. Food is so yummy. Homecooked Thai food. Very nice mango sticky rice dessert. The owners blessed us with their homegrown mangosteen and rambutans. So sweet and juicy as it was the season. They provide free transport from the main road. We would see the Andaman sea. Beautiful.

Now, I'm a self confessed harsh critic of quality food, but after a recommendation of the 'view', up on hill, adjacent to the Sands hotel, we tried this place on our last night in Khaolak. The food was absolutely fantastic , except for spring rolls...they we ok though my Mrs liked but my daughter and I thought they tasted like coleslaw in a spring roll...not that bad really but f me, everything else was delicious. The 'thai' style prawns are the best prawns I've had- PERIOD. This includes back home in Australia, Singapore, Bali, Malaysia etc. They were immaculately cooked in what I can only describe as a panang style flavoured curry with some long green beans (chopped in battalions). They were relatively expensive in scheme of things here at around $9 each ($AU) or 180 thai bhat, but had a feeling they would be of good size...I was not let down. If you like prawns, drop anything and everything that you're doing and go to Phu View. Next time I'm in the area, I'll order just 5-6 of these prawns and some plain rice. Massaman chicken curry is also delicious with the right viscosity and protein to veg ratio. Thai style whole fried fish also super yum, crispy with a sweet,sour spicy sauce. Gotta be one of the best restaurants in Khao Lak surely!! 👌

What a cool place! Great view and amazing food. Fish was fresh and the taste was really good. The pineapple chicken curry was so tasty. Prices are as cheap as on the street and yet the service is 5 star.

We went here back in October 2023! We got picked up from our hotel in one of those Jeeps or Fords where you can sit in the trunk. The route up was steep but really fun! Once arrived the view was just insanely beautiful! With a view like this and amazing food what can go wrong?

A cute little Thai restaurant at the top of the hill with fab views and an extensive menu. Free taxi from the bottom of the hill , most usual taxis won’t take you up. The staff are friendly and the food delicious

Had a really nice meal up at the view point. Well worth a meal up here to have a look at the view whilst you are eating. You can arrange a free pick up from your hotel if you arrange in advance. I just what'sapped the number provided. The meal it's self was really good can't complain about anything.

The best Thai meal I’ve had in Khao Lak! But also the most expensive. As other Thai food we had were at simpler casual eateries or less luxe restaurants. Finally a Tom Yum soup that hits the spot! But also made sure I requested for “Thai-level” of spiciness this time. As most restaurants will tone down their spice level for us tourists, it’s best to indicate otherwise if you can handle your spice. Otherwise may miss that kick in your Thai dishes! Also especially enjoyed their Sago dessert dish. Ordered lotsa dishes to try, mostly based on staff recommendations and most were good. Enjoyed the pineapple kombucha drink too. Gorgeous setting in a beautiful hotel too. On that evening we dined there, we were the only big family group seated indoors. Majority of the diners were couples who sat outdoors. Overall breakfast experience is good. Staff service and atmosphere is very good. Breakfast setup, hygiene and in-house bakery are great🥐 Food is fine.

A beautiful experience from start to finish. Our stay Devasom Resort was simply wonderful. The service at Takola and the whole Resort was exceptional, and we felt truly cared for. By far the best meal I’ve had in Khao Lak. The ambience was was amazing. We sat at a table that overlooked the impeccably manicured lawn with the Andaman Sea further back. The food we ordered was cooked to perfection and the presentation was a joy to behold. Khun Ivy was very welcoming and informed us about their future menus which we truly appreciated. Staying at the Devasom hotel we had breakfast every morning and dinner most nights. It was simply amazing. The food was the best food we had on our holiday and we kept going back. The food was extremely fresh, tasty and well presented. The buffet breakfast had everything you could want with an extensive range of options. Items restocked regularly and everything was very fresh. Our evening dinners were simply delicious- could not pick a favourite dish (they were all so good). A fantastic selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages also available. The staff were simply amazing. Service was always fast and nothing was an issue. They were so welcoming and took so much pride in ensuring our dinning experiences were perfect. Being guest at the hotel they got to know us and would welcome us by name each time and could even predict our drink of choice. The staff made each dinning experience special. I could not fault any of the staff. The atmosphere was also terrific. Nice and laid back, open with music playing softly in the background. Ability to sit indoors or outdoors gave lots of options and the view was gorgeous. Best experience we had was the TAKOLA journey as a special last dinner. No words can describe the entire experience. The personal chef showing and explaining each of the different 8 courses and the restaurant staff ensuring our meal was special placing us in a private booth. Each course was so different and the flavours exploded in your mouth. Could not fault TAKOLA Thai restaurant or their staff in anyway. Special thanks to Ivy and Pui.

Really relaxed vibe. Pizzas are good value for money. Lovely thin crisp dough with a thick crust. We shared a diavlo (250baht) then a margarita (190baht) and washed it down with a cold glass of house red. The restaurant is clean, the staff are proud and friendly and unobtrusive.

Mario pizza was fantastic… it’s literally like you are having it in Rome! However their pasta was not quite there yet.. especially those one with cream sauce. The ingredients was not quite right but other that food was fab. Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend… beff carpaccio and bake spinach delicious!

We had a great dinner here! We ordered surf and turf and the Parma Ham pizza with ricotta. Everything was so delicious and perfectly cooked! The prices are very fair and the servers were so kind. Very clean well kept restaurant and worth stopping in while you’re here!

Toni’s Jar Bar at the Build Market is the best Freshly cooked food, some of the best we have had in Khao Lak. Reasonably priced drinks and service with a smile

Very good restaurant with really tasty food. You are welcomed with cold towel to wash your hands and refresh. The staff is very friendly and service was super fast. We came twice for dinner as we tried the hotpan seafood and we were impressed on how the food was served and taste. The place gets crowded in the evening so it's better to make a reservation beforehand.

Truly amazing place for dinner. The food was very good, My husband and I ordered chicken satay and spring rolls starter and steak and whole fish and it was all amazing. All staff were friendly and efficient. The full meal and drinks came to an equivalent of 40 UK pounds, we would of easily been charged upwardsof 100 pounds back in Uk

Incredible food and service - honestly the best Thai restaurant I have been globally. The food is cooked and presented with thoughtfulness and love. The staff are incredibly kind as is the gracious Pam who came to talk to us. The setting has been built over 13 years and is an experience in itself. We visited Pam’s four times during our stay in Khao Lak, and each time was a wonderful experience. The garden setting creates a truly magical atmosphere. The food is excellent, with top-quality ingredients – the green curry was absolutely outstanding. Pam herself is a warm and charming host, and her team is always friendly, attentive, and provides exceptional service. A place we would return to anytime!

Highly recommend and now understand why you would want to book ahead for a table at Pam’s. Quality ingredients used in a broad menu, it’s hard to pick what to eat and we sought recommendations from staff. The pomelo salad was a stand out for me. Kids happy to have nuggets, chips and onion rings alongside fresh fruit smoothies. The setting is like a little oasis. Pam came through the restaurant as we were wrapping up our meal to say hello. We appreciated hotel pick up and drop off as options.

Excellent traditional Thai food, in a beautiful garden setting, with attentive and helpful staff. The backstory to this fabulous place is it started in 2003 with just a couple of tables and one cooker, serving hotel workers. Now it's a beautiful outside dining experience, with excellent food, lively atmosphere and great staff. Food was reasonably priced and delicious. Taxi can be arranged to/from your hotel, and bookings are made via Facebook. The garden is a labour of love, built up by Pam herself, who will delight in talking to you when you visit. If you only go to one restaurant in Khao Lak, you should go here.

Pam's is a gem, this is our 12th night in Thailand and Pam's is the standout restaurant for us - beautiful setting, delicious freshly made food - the shrimp cakes and spring rolls we had to start you could tell were made fresh from scratch they were outstanding. Pam's will arrange pickup from your hotel, just message them on Facebook. We are going back in 3 days, can't wait.

What an incredibly gorgeous spot! Pam was absolutely lovely and responded to my booking request very promptly. She also organised a free pick up and drop off from our resort which was a huge bonus. All of the staff are gorgeous, attentive and friendly and happy to meet any of your requests. Food came out extremely fast and was fresh, vibrant and delicious. The Pad See Ew was the best noodle dish I have ever had and the papaya salad was amazing. Perfect amount of spice and so crispy. Thank you so much!

It was an unforgettable visit - Italian buffet night. Quality of food was been on top. The cheeseboard featured an amazing variety of cheeses. Ravioli was delicious. Many tastes of desserts. We were given the best care and attention from Chef - he is master of his profession. We all enjoyed especially the waitress's attentive service during our dinner, her name Guitar.

We all sat together at a festive table, enjoying the pasta we had made ourselves along with a variety of delicious dishes prepared by the team. Seeing my son proudly serve the pasta he had created was the highlight of the evening. Layla who served us was absolutely amazing and very attentive. It was my partners birthday so when our dessert came out, his came with a candle and they sang happy birthday, which was a lovely touch. Definitely helps that it’s located at such a beautiful hotel. Would definitely recommend.

Was quite excited to try due to the high star reviews on google but was absolutely disappointed by the quality and service. At peak hours the waiter came slow after I raised my hand multiple times for them to place order, one of it walked passed me like purposely? So I ordered a pizza I forgotten the name and frutti di mare pasta. The pizza was decently cooked taste good and the crust is crispy. On the other hand the pasta frutti di mare tasted like seafood tomato puke, and its plating is not appealing at all, don’t get fooled by the photos here. Quite a big disappointment visiting this restaurant during the trip to JW Marriott Khaolak.

An amazing authentic Thai restaurant!! When we just walked in, the small of their grilled pork leg got us hooked, so we knew we had to order at least one dish including it. After consulting with the super kind waitress regarding their most recommended dishes, we ordered their stewed pork leg, fried tamarind chicken, papaya salad and a spicy pork neck salad. Everything was so delicious, but the stewed pork leg & fried tamarind chicken were our absolute favorites, two of the best dishes we had during our 3 weeks trip in Thailand. The pork leg had deep flavors, all torn apart and soaked in a sweet sauce. It was so tender that we could tear it apart with only a spoon. The fried tamarind chicken was something like we've never tasted before - the sticky sauce perfectly covered the deep fried chicken bites and we absolutely loved it. Lastly, prices were so great VFM, we spent only 550 baht for the entire meal, which is so cheap considering how good & fresh all of the food was. To conclude, if you're visiting Khao Lak, this is the one restaurant you don't want to miss out on!!

This was truly one of the best meals I ever had! I even made a happy food dance 😅 I can recommend this place so much. The sweet and sour sauce is truly amazing with its fresh pineapple 🍍 and the noodles were just amazing if you live dumplings 🥟

The pizza was delicious! My husband was very excited that they make their own gluten-free crust! They also had gluten free pasta listed as an option. Highly recommend this restaurant. I also ordered the Caesar salad, and it was very good.

This restaurant has been in the city for years and both service and quality are still there. The pizzas are the highlights of this place, we will come back again and again.

Pizza was perfect, no complaints there. Just some feedback on the pasta: it’s an extremely small serving size what you pay (250-350bart) and the carbonara was virtually just pasta and bacon. I’m sure the other pastas would be better. We paid 915 bart for 2 drinks, 1 side, 1 pizza & 1 pasta.

Delicious! Excellent food, flavour was 10/10 and pride was extremely reasonable. We have visited various other restaurants and had good meals, but walked away thinking wow…how much did that just cost. Whereas here we ate a decent meal and came away feeling it was well priced, like Thailand used to be. Setting was nice, quiet and relaxed. Staff were attentive and friendly. We would go back here.

Popped in for dinner, 3 other tables were dining, food a little slow to come out but when you’re on holidays that’s not a big concern. Food was nice, Penang curry chicken was flavorful, spicy pork mince wasn’t spicy at all but when you added some chilli sauce and chopped chilli’s it was enjoyable and the garlic pork was a little bland. Beers nice and cold - indoor and outdoor tables available.

This is a great, cheap, good quality Thai food restaurant. They've heavily improved the building in the last year or so, now a proper tiled floor, bright lightning, indoor cafe with AC and so on. Service is fast, the quality of the food is fantastic, the price is excellent. Unlike some places, if you want something spicy here, they'll do it properly spicy for you. One of my favourite and most commonly used eateries.

Cute place, very clean. Ate inside because it was so hot & humid. Spring rolls were great. Red curry with coconut milk was tasty. Very fresh veggies. Cold beer.

Small family resort with very nice and helpful people, nice bungalows, good food, beautiful,quiet atmosphere . If you stay here it's free sunbeds with towles and if you come for a visit for a day you can rent a sunbed cheep. It's very close to White sand beach. Don't miss this place! Very relaxing, I am happy as it is uncomplicated, friendly, lots of nature, and friendly staff! The owner couple are able to laugh and seem to be able to enjoy life!. What more does one want!!! The restaurant is extremely good, if you like Thai Kitchen, then nothing is missing! The Bungalows are very accommodating, for five months or more, it is fantastic!

Smile Restaurant is the one we found after tasting us through the whole frontrow of little family beach restaurants which are located next to Sarojin Hotel. Why? Knowing that food is homemade along the beach anyway and delicious too, Smile Restaurant is a tad more of everything. Best food and friendly staff, very friendly. Don't miss it. Its worth to go the extra 50 meter.

April 2021: Nice small beach. Stopped here looking for a beach to visit. The White Sand Beach was closed. The staff at Smile was friendly and the food and drinks were nice. My wife and I relaxed and enjoyed the day here.

We truly loved this bar, it was like a prize after a long day. Amazing music, the nights with the singer and the drummer were amazing, another dimension 🤪 he has got an amazing talent and finds himself in so many tonations and styles. Loved it. Dodgy bar. Walked in here cause we were up this way and was told they have live music. No band playing Monday 9th June 2025. All the staff were young and stoned and not friendly at all. Very surprising for a bar in Thailand as most bar staff will go out of their way to make you stay there and keep you drinking. I reckon they actually hated us!! The bar had a weird vibe about it and stunk of pot and was pretty grubby. The clientele who were either drinking or smoking weed there were all odd bods as well. We couldn’t wait to get out of there and only stayed for an extra beer cause the heavens opened up and it was pissing down. We thought better wait in here then get drenched out in the street. Monkey bar has an appropriate name as its a bit of zoo. On positive note we gave it one star as the beers were served icy cold and they cost 80 baht each.

Loved the vibe! Music and the band was on fire last night (16.02.2023) the band played all-time classics include Oasis, RHCP, ACDC etc. My favorite was the weed smoking area. The place was full! We were lucky to find ourselves a seat. BUT: I think they need to hire more staffs as there were just two visible and I had to actually go and make order by myself. Also, no tissue in the toilet. I'll be back!

Lively place with a great band playing non stop d favourites all night - we left at 1am and they were still playing. Friendly staff - drinks are slightly more expensive than we are used to in Thailand. Will go back though.

The name might be a bit of a give-away, Bavaria house serves great (Bavarian) German food as well as tasty Thai food. The restaurant recently moved to it's new location. It is now set in a spacious garden. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

This place as some of the best steak! The staff could not be more friendly and helpful! There was a large group of us attending the restaurant and they did advise they weren't really set up to deal with 16 of us at the same time but I could not fault them. We went back twice! I would really recommend you give it a go.

Superb meal last night with Northern Thai cuisine on the menu. I love all Thai food but this was a pleasant change from the rest. Great friendly service to. Price was reasonable and portion size was bigger than most.

Ignore the negative reviews of this restaurant. Definitely the best authentic Thai food in the area and some of the best I’ve tasted. It’s a lovely family run restaurant near Biang Niang market, that specialises in northern thai cuisine. All of our dishes were excellent - the perfect larb; deep fried freshly caught white snapper with a spicy green mango salad, banana flower curry and the spicy fried pork. It’s decor is wooden and slightly Burmese in style. Well worth going out of your way for!

We had 2 wonderful meals here at Hill Tribe. The food is wonderful and very authentic. I can highly recommend eating here. It can be a bit hard to find on the main road, but absolutely worth it!!!

During our stay at JW Mariott, we had our daily breakfast at the Waterfront. The indoor dining hall is big and spacious and they also have outdoors. The buffet spread is decent with good variation of meals. Indian, Thai, Western, the usual breads and pastries, egg station. The food was just ok and nothing actually stands out. The spread everyday is practically the same and you will get bored after 2 days. Service is good and the staff helpful.

This is the hotel buffet of the JW marriot. While this is a standard 5 star hotel buffet it’s also exceedingly well run. Despite the hotel being full when we stayed. They planned for this and opened up a second venue in the olive restaurant next door. We didn’t have to wait to get in despite the usual weekend rush at peak hour. And the quality of the buffet is excellent. Don’t miss they have a rotating local “street food” stall where I had khao man guy. And Khao ka moo. On different days. They have both bacon and halal sections. As well as Asian and Indian areas. Basically they have something for everyone. The salad and fruit area is great with especially interesting fruits that you don’t see everyday such as selak (admittedly I had to look that up. It looks like what I would expect a snake egg to look like. (Google it - and do try it ). Anyway. Well run professional buffet.

Extremely overpriced for what you get. 1. Theme park madness at the serving stations and entire restaurant. 2. Buffet selection is ok, but not for $25 in Thailand. Also, they can't cook eggs properly. 3. Servers were nice, but they were juggling numerous tasks and I couldn't tell if they were a Server or a Runner. One would expect more from a resort, not a food cafeteria at Six Flags that was presented.

Very nice breakfast for hotel guests at JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort. They have lots of options for everyone. International breakfast, Asian dishes and Indian dishes.

This was the JW's breakfast buffet place. It actually had the best food of all the restaurants at the JW ... all the rest were mediocre to poor. If you actually like good food, don't go here. There's really nothing to recommend any of the restaurants.

Wifi doesn't work on the second floor, the owner was a bit dishonest. The whole place has a bit of a prison-y decor with brutalist style concrete walls. When I asked about wifi and needing to cancel if they can't provide wifi, the previously fluent owner suddenly pretended to not understand English at all.

I booked this place for 3 nights just 3 hours before arriving. My room was super clean. Aircon works very well and chills room instantly. In the room I have a nice TV with YouTube so I can connect my phone and watch my things. Everything I need, I get free toilet paper, water, and soap. Food downstairs was delicious and not so expensive ( you get free nuts and pineapple as well ). Service of poeple her its another level. They are very friendly and help you every time you need. Location is like 10 minutes walk to 7-11 and 15 to beach. You have a small night market as well.same location as beach. Close to hotel you can rent a bike which I recommend to see stuff around. Overall, I highly recommend l. See you next time. (Please try Panang curry and Masaman curry, I love it)

This family-owned restaurant is very nice and offers lots of great food (pad Thai, duck with tamarind sauce and massaman curry!! specifically). We went there a couple of times with our baby son. Every time the owners were very kind. Definitely a recommendation

Khao Lak is an overpriced tourist resort with many older European tourists. Most hotels are expensive by Thai standards. However Seabox Hostel is very reasonably priced. The rooms are simple. TV is for decoration. The colour choice is odd - grey walls in a room without windows makes you feel a bit like your in a cave. But the rooms are actually clean and functional. There is a fridge, pretty good Wi-Fi and shower. The aircon is perfect. You will never be too hot in these rooms. And the Myanmar staff are lovely.

Lovely little family run restaurant. Very friendly. They turn out great meals fresh off the wok. The beer is chilled. Prices are very reasonable. This place is right opposite the Laguna Resort where we are staying, so it's very convenient for us to hop across the road for lunch.
