Breakfast restaurant
Nestled at the end of a rugged dirt road in the picturesque Valle de Guadalupe, La Cocina de Doña Esthela has long been cherished by locals and is now gaining fame beyond its humble beginnings. This beloved breakfast spot has captured hearts since its feature on Rick Stein's BBC show, showcasing traditional Sinaloan dishes that are simply irresistible.
If you want a very authentic Mexican breakfast come to this place. Expect some wait (15 minutes to an hour). Can’t get here without GPS as it is in the middle of nowhere but locals do. Full of locals and super busy. They serve a mean wonderful breakfast. It is a must visit. We came here yesterday and we are back again!

I can understand why La Cocina de Doña Estela in Valle de Guadalupe has earned its Michelin star. I only ordered the potato soup, but I was blown away by the depth and richness of the broth. The flavors not only brought me back to my childhood, they went beyond that. My friend ordered the nopales with egg, something you could easily make at home, but tasting it here, from the land it originates from, just hits differently. The portions are generous, which can be dangerous because you’ll want to keep eating. The pan dulce was also incredible. We took some back to enjoy with coffee the next morning. I’m normally not a big breakfast person (just coffee for me) but this place makes me want to return and try every single one of their specialty dishes

This place has been talked about every time you google breakfast places in the Valle de Guadalupe. Of course I had to try it! Went with a group of friends (4 total) a little before 9am. And it was already getting pretty busy. We were seated right away; and had requested outdoor seating. Inside felt very packed for us and needed that extra quiet feeling. Outside was perfect! We went right before the weather started getting warmer. The waiter brought over queso fresco and chips. The cheese felt very fresh! And could be from the farm they have onsite with cows. Our food was all delicious! Will go back and try another dish.
Melissa R — Google review
Definitely not worth the wait. Menu is mostly breakfast items which unfortunately I’m allergic to milk, eggs and pork. So fair to say very limited choices. The wait is ridiculous for what you are getting. I’ve heard people wait up to 4-5 hours. According to one of the workers an hour wait is like no wait. The road to get to the place is bad. I recommend going with good tires and suspension. I think the food may have been great before all the hype.Yes, it’s delicious because it’s not processed and more like our mom or grandma’s cooking. I cook in the same fashion so it was nothing extraordinary for me or my partner. I personally will not be making the drive again. But as always give it a try it may or may not be for you. FYI: There are three roads that will take you to the restaurant according to one of the workers. There is one we took going in which was the worst one. Lots of potholes and not paved. The one we used to exit was actually not bad at all when comparing the two. The second one was flat and only had a few potholes. There is parking inside and outside of the facility. Go with lots of patience, not hungry or take a snack and drink if you go after they open. Or you could buy yourself a drink from the coffee stand and snacks from one of other stands. Also Dona Esthela may be available to meet and greet her customers.
Gloria F — Google review
Boy what is there to say about this celebrity joint. Anthony Bourdain, Chef Ramsey, and many other have come to this place. They are all over social media. And yes its as good as they say it is. The very slow well seasoned lamb, the beef machaca, the homemade tortillas "flower and corn" is do die for. I'm not a fan of just to eat lamb but this one is definitely superb and one of a kind. Don't for get awesome corn pancakes and the café dw olla. Its worth driving the 20min drive from Ensenada in Valle de Guadalupe. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Feed your food souls and God bless, its a must.
Rogelio J — Google review
Prepare for at least an hour’s wait on the weekend but totally worth it. Delicious, traditional Mexican home cooking. I’ve been twice now. The specials - borrego tatemado and the corn pancakes are must haves.
Victor P — Google review
Solid breakfast spot. We went with the machaca and elote pancakes. It really does have the feel of a large family breakfast set up. The beans were great, the elote pancakes were good but very dense and chewy, which definitely is a different concept of how I see pancakes. The machaca was tasty but it wasn’t something I would likely order again. The fresh cheese with the salsa and chips however was excellent. I think the concept of an elote pancake is awesome though! Next time, I would like to try the chilaquiles. The orange juice was tasty. Tasted fresh squeezed and was told made in house, which I believe. Come EARLY. Sunday morning brunch crowd filing in after their minor wine hangover is a real thing. We got there at 815 and had no problem finding a table and ordering but it looks like after that, it starts ramping up.

Fauna is a stunning restaurant located in Valle, offering a special evening experience. The tasting menu is highly recommended, featuring delicious and filling dishes. The restaurant is accommodating to dietary restrictions and offers a flexible dining experience. Guests can enjoy an amazing culinary journey with local and fusion dishes that elevate flavors and presentation. The beautiful architecture and exceptional food make it a must-visit destination. However, some guests found the service to be overly attentive, while others mentioned challenges with the dirt road leading to the restaurant.
I had the pleasure of dining at Fauna, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is simply incredible. The vibe is laid-back yet sophisticated, making it the ideal spot for any occasion. The food steals the show. Each dish was an absolute delight, bursting with flavors, and everything we tried was nothing short of outstanding. From the first bite to the last, I was thoroughly impressed. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and made sure our group of 7 had everything we needed without being intrusive. Their service was top-notch, and it only added to the overall amazing experience. Fauna is a gem – amazing food, great vibes, and exceptional service. I can’t wait to go back! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly special dining experience.

Excellent restaurant in all sense. The food was amazing, each dish was authentic and original. Everything, from the quinoa salad to the guava churro tasted great. The waitress and staff were very friendly ant all times. Then there's the fact of sharing the table. Eventho my mom and I weren't thrilled about that, we ended un having an amazing experience, people kind of become more open while eating so we had a great conversation with people we met there. Amazing place and experience.

Superb is the word!!!! Flavors never crashed or competed with each other. Extremely satisfied. Will Definitely come back!!! Do look at the pictures to see what to order.

Maybe one of my most favorite culinary experiences I have had in some time. Reserving ahead of time made checking in no problem but make sure you have one. You have the option of taking photos in the front of the restaurant’s fountain and then you are seated. If you’re looking for a private place to spend with your partner, this is not it but if you are looking to engage with people in a playful and curious way while enjoying excellent food, then this is it! We split a two appetizers (small and large) and a main dish. This was perfect for us. The ceviche was perhaps the most flavorful and robust ceviches I have tried. Had smoky elements with a tang and freshness, even the chip was light and crisp, good flavor. The sopes were the least the favorite, just missed the mark a bit. the lamb quesadillas were tasty and the tortillas were made fresh. The cheese had a salty, organic flavor to it that really made the combination of all of them together just shine! The wines we tried were a sparkling white and rose and each were great, but the sparkling white probably gets the nod. Just give this place a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

Restaurant
Restaurante Latitud 32 is a top dining spot in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California. It offers a fusion of Mexican and contemporary cuisine, making it one of the best restaurants in the area. The restaurant is known for its excellent service and diverse menu options, including Mexican, American, and fusion dishes. Visitors can enjoy a variety of flavors and ample choices during their dining experience.
Our party of 6 came in for lunch during our stop off a cruise ship. I am so glad we chose Latitud 32 for our one Ensenada experience! Views were amazing. Food was awesome and so flavorful. Wine was great, will be looking for where it’s sold near me! Favorite was the Orion Tempranillo Granache. Our server Victor made our experience wonderful! So much joy and energy and jokes! 2 of our guests have celiac disease, there were pant gluten free options and we had no worries with cross contamination with gluten! Favorite items were Barbacoa de Borrego and the Cafe de Olla! 10/10 experience!

Since it was a Michelin restaurant, my expectations were thru the roof. We got seated really quick, the ambience was fancy, and the service was fast. The first course was delicious as well as the entrée. The dessert was a bit miss. The chocolate cake was just too grainy, rich and dry. But, it was a good dining experience.

Enjoyed my time here! Food was great, I just wouldn’t order the Pork Belly tacos next time. But otherwise staff was friendly and attentive. Thanks!

This has been one of the best dining experiences I have encountered in Valle de Guadalupe. The servers were so attentive and had so many good recommendations, they were able to make our experience from good to great. We were treated so well, that we would definitely come back!!

We celebrated my sister’s birthday. The service was amazing. Nayeli, our hostess was not only friendly but treated us as family and ensured we were given the best experience possible. Thank you Nayeli.

The service is outstanding and the ambiance is beautiful. The food is good but not great. The first night we ate here I had the red snapper filet which was good, but not as flavorful as I expected. Last night I had the rib eye steak which was tender, juicy and tasted good. I expected to taste cuisine that would be memorable, but came away slightly disappointed.

We hosted a group of 25 BFGoodrich Tires dealers during the Baja 1000 and had an incredible experience working with the El Cielo team. They were very responsive, flexible and accommodating to our large group's needs. They set up a beautiful private dining experience and the food was amazing. We will definitely be back!

Amazing!!!!!!! They ran out of Tomahawk Steaks, but I'll forgive them. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I ordered the paella and when it arrived at the table it was BLACK!!! I was taken aback. I just knew I made a mistake. I tasted it. The only mistake I made was prejudging it. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!😋😋 Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Perfection.

Epic dinner! Staff was friendly and fast paced. Seafood was fresh and deliciously seasoned. We had a lot of raw fish appetizers and they filled us up! The Spanish style cheesecake dessert was divine!! Highly recommend you save room for it. We also stayed at a nearby air bnb and Salvia Blanco delivers breakfast options. Breakfast also did not disappoint!

What an incredible experience!!! Stopped for a quick wine tasting but ended up spending the afternoon!!! The owner, Paco, was a brilliant host!!! He spent the entire time with us, telling us about his wines, took us on a tour of the restaurant and villas and the grounds. Recommend the perfect charcuterie with our wine pairings!!! He was an amazing guy. Can’t wait to go back and actually stay at the resort!!! Highly recommend it!!!

Amazing service and excellent food. The place is very beautiful and on the weekends they have live music. They also have beautiful gardens with inspiration quotes all over the trail. The drimks are amazing and the food is delicious 😋 Great service also.

The establishment offers an exceptional experience. Upon arrival, the security personnel and parking attendants were both polite and attentive. The hostess provided excellent customer service, and despite the lack of a reservation, we were promptly accommodated. The garden area is particularly noteworthy. We enjoyed the steak and fries, as well as a delicious fish dish. The beverages were also well-received. We extend our gratitude to Christopher for his drink recommendations and for informing us of the recently updated menu. We plan to return and highly recommend this establishment.

We had an absolutely magical and memorable dining experience at this hip, modern restaurant in the valley. The property is stunning, with beautiful paths and gardens that offer great views, complemented by fantastic cocktails. The food was not only creative and beautifully presented, but also delicious. The meat was tender, and the wine was rich and sophisticated, making every dish a delight, especially the octopus, which was the highlight of our week-long trip. The staff, including the chef and the owner, provided exemplary service that made us feel like royalty. Their attentive and helpful approach enhanced our meals without ever being intrusive. This place is a must-visit for anyone traveling to the valley—truly a five-star experience.

A must visit! Absolutely delicious & fresh! Passion fruit tuna and ribeye were heavenly and stunning presentation. Ricardo was incredible & knowledgeable about their food and wines (they have their own, as well as others), prompt, fun, and accommodating. This place has everything from meticulously manicured grounds, to amazing views and ambiance, to fantastic service. A must visit.

Everything was good, like good good 😮‍💨 pricey but worth every penny. Update: I visited again after some time and the service still too notch, good still have the great quality and taste. Orchard
Restaurante Laja, located in the picturesque Valle de Guadalupe, is a charming cottage surrounded by lush gardens and vineyards. Led by renowned chef Jair Tellez, it offers a refined and ever-changing menu that reflects the abundance of the orchard and vineyards. The rustic yet inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for a leisurely breakfast or lunch.
It is a total splurge dining experience! The (fixed) menu is ever-changing and the descriptions don’t remotely do justice to the dishes. Everything is unexpected, interesting and a party of flavors. Cocktails (my Negroni) were delicious. The menu wine pairings were good mates but were on the small-pour side (1 Oz) We left plenty full from the meal, and chef kindly accommodated a special request. Very pleasant service and zen like atmosphere.
Patricia W — Google review
I was hoping for...more. First, the service was the highlight. Friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The ambiance was nice, with a large stone fireplace and overall farmhouse vibe. We were the only diners there but it was a Thursday evening, so I suppose that was it. That said, felt lonely. The food...feel sad to say this but meh. We got the 5 course tasting menu. There was no printed menu of the dishes so pardon the simple descriptions; this is all I can remember. The first course was vegetables on a puree of white beans and fennel. EXCELLENT. 2) Fried rabbit on a mayonnaise sauce. OK, putting something fried in mayonnaise without any acid is just too rich on rich. 3) Fish in a puttanesca sauce. Now, I don't like puttanesca, so there's that, BUT my fish wasn't cooked properly. Not seared and rare in the middle, but just undercooked. 4) Chicken in a sauce I can't remember. SUPER juicy and perfectly cooked but the seasoning and sauce...big meh from me. 5) Oy. I really didn't like this one. Lemon verbena flan in a honey-like sauce with fresh cherries. The cherries were lovely but otherwise...sugar on sugar on sugar. Yikes. Don't make this again...ever. Start over. Overall, felt overpriced for the quality of the food. Would skip this one.
Caroline G — Google review
This is the best meal I’ve ever eaten. The care and love that went into each dish, service, and wine selection was perfect. Best natural wine I’ve ever tasted. Striped bass tartar was the best dish I’ve ever eaten. This place lives up to the hype. And quite the bargain compared to tasting menus north of the border, especially given the quality. Simply superb. Not much more can be said. To be fair, we were the only ones in the restaurant for the entire meal, so we had lots of attention. Highly recommend visiting the garden—the source of all produce ingredients. We will be back as frequently as possible.
Brandee B — Google review
The service was decent. We had the tasting menu with wine selection. The wines were not impressive and the portions were really small for the price. The food wasn’t great or filling. The fish had a weird strawberry sauce that didn’t go well. The dumplings were cold and undercooked we even sent them back and it did not make much of a difference. The fish dish was also a bit cold and the dessert was bland.
Jose H — Google review
This is my third time going and each time has been fantastic. It is a very cozy environment inside a house with beautiful gardens outside. About $50 USD for a 4 course wine pairing meal, will not disappoint! Reservations are easy to make as well. If you're going wine tasting in the Valle end the day here!!
Todd A — Google review
One of our first post pandemic ventures to an indoor restaurant. We were here for the first time 3 years ago and they change management , we were curious to see if it was still good. Well, it is. It was Wednesday evening and we had all the restaurant for ourselves. We started with really good cocktails, they have a fixed seasonal menu of five courses, everything was really good but the seabass on strawberry tepache is outstanding that could be in any 3 Michelin star restaurant. The service was amazing and we had a nice chat with chef Jesus. Laja still feels like old valle. Long live to Laja
Gustavo P — Google review
Laja has been in operation for many years now. They have a daily tasting menu which is made up of 3 or 5 courses. I went with the 3 course menu: salad, duck and pay. Service was ok. It was good but not great to come back or recommend.

We enjoy a great dinner to celebrate our 35th anniversary. Chef Jesus and new Restaurant manager Luis really know how to make you feel welcome and treat you to some of the best dishes we have had at el Valle. And if dinner was not enough, we close our weekend with a visit to their brunch. I really recommend Laja Restaurant. Thanks to all the Laja staff. Jorge C

Restaurant
The mexican restaurant Corazon de Tierra is a well-known hotspot in Valle de Guadalupe for its creative and delicious cuisine. A range of wines is available, including the passion project of the owners, Vena Cava. The intimate setting is perfect for romantic dinner dates or for catching up with friends.
Chef Diego and his staff were AMAZING! We were there for Sunday brunch and each course awoke a new taste:bud. Eating straight from the earth that we walked upon and smelled as you can see from the pictures was an experience all on its own. The setting is stunning, the service impeccable and the food amazing! 5 stars for both as I don't believe in rating a restaurant with combined scores but separate. Make a reservation and go ... Oh they have heat and AC ;- enjoy!!!
C L — Google review
Romantic restaurant run by the Villa de la Valle group (and adjacent to the Inn) perfect for a quiet dinner. Adventurous menu great for foodies. It’s a fixed menu and was nicely curated with a variety of flavors. Especially loved the crispy pork lechon , fresh tomato salad, grilled sea bass. All the sauces were fantastic! Wines were pricy and we would have liked liked more wine. But loved the Beautiful view and experience on this our second visit.
Patricia W — Google review
This restaurant is a pure joke. I put 1 star as there is no negative star rating on this! They only have a fixed menu which they charge $80 per person for. While only some of the dishes present interesting flavors, the portion are ridiculously tiny, not consistent between the three of us. The first course of a 6 course menu: 1 FREEKING RADISH WITH NO TASTE WHATSOEVER! You can judge the other course with the pictures, Very big plates with decor like that you are not sure what is food and what's not making it much bigger than the real portion and... YES THE 3 RIDICULOUS SWORDFISH TOAST ARE FOR 3 PERSONS!!!! AND... ...The lamb was dry like hell, the radish had no interest whatsoever, the smoke swordfish was extremely fishy... It is clear that the chef and the owner do not understand food quality and consistency and overcharge tourist for a set menu that does not deserve anything but a D- This restaurant would open anywhere in the USA, in two weeks it would be closed! Thank you the hype of Guadalupe Valley and locals that advise to go to this restaurant but never eat themselves there, paid commissions work!
Andre F — Google review
The food is good, I liked that they changed some dishes for me since I didn't eat meat. The price is maybe a little too much for what you get. The place is comfortable and nice but it is pretty far away from everything. The road is dusty and dark. Overall I was maybe expecting more for a restaurant ranked at the Pellegrino's list.

Good 6 course meal, Don't recommend the wine tasting or ordering drinks from the bar.

Best culinary experience in Valle de Guadalupe This is our second visit to this amazing place and the experience is an overall 5-senses celebration. The place is amazingly beautiful, 8 course tasting menu is really worth it. Each plate growths in your paladar and takes you to value not only flavor but also textures and smell. Really recommend this place if gourmet dining is your thing. Btw, love the hotel! prime service and detail oriented.

**AVOID THIS PLACE... NOT WORTH YOUR TROUBLE My experience left me wanting... The place was really nicely decorated. The food was good, but not close to what they charge for it. Furthermore, I would suggest that they make a bit more effort in client orientation. We had two people from my party that found stones in their risotto. This is extremely unfortunate for such a high end restaurant. But even more, when no one from the kitchen or the staff did anything about it. That is the type of response you would expect only in a fonda. Overall, I was extremely disappointed and I think the place is not worth what they charge for it.
Ilse O — Google review
Very disappointed! Was really excited until I was through the 3rd course. The wine was served from pre opened bottles with small pours. Each portion of food served was ridiculously small. I kept waiting for a course to be served that would actually take more than two bites. One serving was a corn tortilla with some greens. The desert was actually one spoon full of ice cream and some kind of green syrup. Sorry, but I don’t get this hyped up place. $250.00 for two to eat sub par food. We actually had to go eat dinner after this experience . Will not be back.

Corona del Valle is a hidden gem located in Valle de Guadalupe. The facility offers a beautiful setting with a kids' playground and live music on Sundays, making it suitable for everyone. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings and delicious food, such as charcuterie boards with an abundance of cheese. The wines are highly praised despite being young-tasting. The winery provides a posh and polished atmosphere with well-thought-out wine variations.
Our experience was truly delightful, from the stunning views to the exceptional wine. The food was equally delicious, and we even had the chance to ride bikes through the vineyards, an unforgettable highlight of our visit!

This winery was recommended by a friend, It was very nice and in an attractive area. The wines were quite to my tasts and they surroundings are very attractive, there's a huge restaurant and a sort of a party bar as well as the outside tables, It's laid out very well. Some of their $20 wines sell in the Napa Valley for over a hundred dollars.
Allan C — Google review
Wine and food were good, staff was very attentive and friendly, and the activities and atmosphere of the place are amazing! The gardens are beautiful, clean bathrooms, & so much space. The highlight for me was riding on the free bikes though the vineyard at sunset. My 18 month old was just barely old enough to enjoy a few parts of the playground (more for older kiddos). Very kid friendly winery and restaurant! Highly recommend!

My party had a lovely time here around sunset. We got a table right away, the staff was friendly, and the wine was delicious. We also had some shared plates. Next time we'll come earlier and ride the bikes which looked like a lot of fun.

The food here is absolutely delicious. The place is big and has two dining sections an inside one and the outside one. I’ve been in both sections and definitely recommend outside just because of the view. The place has bicycles which you can use for free (if you dine at the restaurant) in their vineyards, totally a must!

We visited in the low season and were the only people at the restaurant during dinner (7pm). The staff were very attentive and friendly, they also gave great recommendations on the food and wine. We did feel a little bad that they didn’t have much work. The food was delicious, we weren’t too hungry so shared a few starters and the wine was also really tasty.

I really enjoyed the wine tasting my brother and I had at Corona del Valle—it was one of my favorite wineries we visited in Valle de Guadalupe. We had the mid-level tasting and all four wines were really nice. The variation and arrangement of the four wines were also quite thoughtful. This is certainly a very posh and polished winery. The atmosphere, the aesthetic, and the foliage are all harmonious and really well designed and plotted. I really liked the vegetation and plant choices they made for their garden that surrounds their restaurant and tasting areas. I’d love to come back sometime and try out the restaurant!

The wines are fair. The Irish coffee was the best! They had nice ambiance music. Our hostess was super friendly. The deserts were probably the best part. We order food to go and they forgot to include the side of bread we paid for. If your there until late at night make sure to tell them to open the gate (they close it late at night) we had to wait a bit before they opened the gate.

Nestled in the heart of wine country, Hacienda Guadalupe is a charming boutique hotel that offers stunning vineyard views and an authentic Mexican experience. With 16 well-appointed rooms overlooking lush gardens and a sparkling outdoor pool, it’s the perfect retreat for relaxation after exploring the nearby wine route.
We came here our first time and it’s really pretty we mostly went there for breakfast it’s peaceful and quiet

This is an amazing location. We arrived late last night. We were received with open arms and a glass of wine - and truth be told the wine was delicious. A quick change in shift left us with another amazing young man who jumped right in, showed us to our room, and quickly confirmed the massage booked for the next morning. The experience overall was amazing. Breakfast there was also a wonderful experience.

The place is nice and food was good but the service could've been a little better. It was happy hour and we were charged regular prices for our margaritas. Some of our meals were missing items listed on the menu as well. Just double check your receipt before paying.

Beautiful hotel with restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The room was very spacious and the entry to the hotel was gated which provided peace of mind. We had a great weekend stay!
Vianey R — Google review
The setting here is beautiful the hacienda-style architecture and view really make for a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. The staff is also very kind and welcoming. That said, the food is clearly geared more toward the American palate, and unfortunately, it falls short in flavor and authenticity. We ended up here because we didn’t want to wait an hour at Doña Estela, but ironically still waited nearly an hour only to be served bland chilaquiles. Three of us ordered them and none of us finished our plates. Even the coffee missed the mark I asked for an Americano and was served basic filtered coffee. We asked for salsa to try and boost the flavor, but it didn’t really help much. This was my second time eating here, and both visits left me disappointed. If you're coming for the views or staying at the hotel, it might be worth a visit for the ambiance. But if you’re looking for standout food in Valle, there are definitely better options nearby.

Really delightful breakfast at the restaurant. La combinación de hacienda was truly delicious and the arrachera to die for. I loved my green juice and the pan dulce as well. The true highlights are the stunning grounds, views of the valley and service provided by the delightful Alicia. She is truly passionate about the valley and providing an exceptional experience. It was because of this we wound up spending the whole day here and hope to enjoy an overnight stay and a wine tasting next time we return. Thank you for a delicious meal, tranquil afternoon and great local recommendations. There are lots of great places in the valley, but I'd consider this an absolute 'must stop', especially for breakfast. See you soon!

The architecture is beautiful, very cozy and welcoming. The greeter is okay but the waiter was excellent with his service. The quality of the food and the serving presentation was very good, the flavor of our breakfast meals was delicious.

We stumbled upon this place trying to find somewhere open at 8am for breakfast on a Sunday morning... and we're really happy that this is the only place we could find. The food and service was excellent. Their Mexican hot chocolate and 'dulces' were an unexpected, yet much welcomed touch. I definitely want to go back for dinner some time, and probably even stay at the hotel, which looks beautiful.

The restaurant I-Pétra is a unique and clean place with an interesting atmosphere. The food was good, and the prices were cheaper than at other restaurants in the valley.
my sincere gratitude to Fernando and the staff at I-Petra for their amazing help in planning our 21st anniversary dinner. We had a wonderful time at your restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was perfect. Fernando and his team were so accommodating and helpful in planning our special evening. They took the time to understand our needs and preferences, and they went above and beyond to make sure that our anniversary dinner was everything we had hoped for. We especially appreciate the fact that Fernando and the staff were able to accommodate our limited Spanish skills. Google Translate was a lifesaver! We would highly recommend  I-Petra to anyone looking for a special dining experience. Thank you again for making our anniversary dinner so memorable.

Great views, good service, comfortable lounge seating, hip chill vibe, live music. Ordered just cocktails and cheese plate. For a Friday late afternoon, I was expecting it to be more lively but it was a nice relaxed time. They brought out blankets once it got chilly which was wonderful! Only negatives were the cheeses from the cheese plate looked and tasted like they had gone bad. Then, the servers tend to “hover” and not give you much privacy. 4 not 5 stars because of the food.

Excellent service. Very nice views of the valley. They have a dj playing music. Best time to go afternoons, since it might be too hot to be outisde or inside, even though they have umbrellas. The food is okay, good taste, mixed drinks tend to be very pricey, but good taste. The food is good, variety in the menu.

Place has a good concept but way overpriced! The portions are so small for the price you pay . If you don’t make a reservation to seat on the top, you end it up seating inside with no one. Not worth going . I wish restaurants in Ensenada would offer more for less to attract more tourists . The prices are the same as the US and you get way less food . The roads leading to the restaurant were horrible . Potholes everywhere . I feel like if they are going to charge US prices they need to have better roads too . Not worth the drive there. Really disappointed ! We ordered a steak , crab tacos (very small with a bowl of not eatable beans), risotto and quesadillas .

Food Truck Adobe Guadalupe is a must-visit spot in Valle de Guadalupe. The friendly staff welcomes guests, including furry friends, with genuine warmth. The setting adds to the experience, offering a beautiful backdrop for enjoying delicious tapas and wine.

Wow! This place is absolutely gorgeous! And so many delicious choices on the menu(We had the Sausage al brandy, the Ensalada Verde, and Champiñones al ajillo cones with lots of dipping bread)! The wine is great too, we tried the Uriel and the Jardín de Tru. Recommend all of the above. And then walk the grounds its just really nice here. Needless to say the customer service was fantastic as well. Come enjoy, we will definitely be back many times.

Very nice food and service. The food was flavorful and fresh. The lingua was well cooked and probably the best I've had in my limited experience with this meat. Very reasonable prices too; <$30 USD for two dishes and two glasses of wine. I think I would have preferred tortillas rather than bread, but it was soft and fresh at least.

Open Thursday through Monday, starting at 12:30pm. The winery itself is not my favorite in the region, but this food truck is pretty much my go-to lunch option when I’m bringing friends to the Valle for the first time. Good variety— lots of tapas— fresh produce, flavorful starters, salads, and sandwiches. And really reasonable prices. You can get what would be a $14 app in the US for maybe half the price here.

Fine dining restaurant
Nestled beneath the shade of an oak tree in the stunning Valle de Guadalupe, Animalón is a culinary gem that showcases the artistry of acclaimed Chef Javier Plascencia and Executive Chef Oscar Torres. This restaurant stands out for its commitment to sustainability and its innovative take on contemporary Mexican cuisine, drawing inspiration from diverse regions across Mexico. The dining experience at Animalón is thoughtfully curated to engage all your senses, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts exploring Baja California's vibrant gastronomic scene.
Incredible ambiance! Eating an 8 course meal inside a hundred year old oak tree in the middle of a farm and a vineyard. Each plate was carefully prepared and presented. All local and fresh ingredients, nothing frozen. Local wines and beers. Flavors were impactful and delicious. Service was excellent and attentive. Very rustic surroundings, but elegant meal. Price was a fraction of what it would cost in the US. Especially for the quality ingredients. Highly recommended! Be sure to pick up a bottle of the award winning local wines. Look at the menu for a description of courses.
Quetzal C — Google review
We had an Amazing experience just under the Animalon. I could not imagine we were under/inside the tree having a superb dining experience. Yes, this is a high end, fine dining experience, which is somewhat mind blowing when considering how you got to the place (have to go to understand). Upon our arrival, the host was attentive and led us to our table. The night was somewhat on the cool side so we were immediately offered blankets. That taken care of, we proceeded to order cocktails as we were wined out from early in the day. The 6-8 course menu was just spectacular. Every course was carefully crafted and explained and all the flavors were there. It was an explosion of different sensations and experiences with every new plate. The traditional Mexican cuisine was incorporated with the mole and a version of the tamal, but the rest of the dinner open my mind to new possibilities with the Mexican cuisine, one that caters to local areas were the chefs exploit those ingredients to create new experiences. While the portions may be tasting style, if you are not sharing the food will be enough to satisfy you. I want to stress that this is not a traditional Mexican restaurant and if you are looking for the comfort food that we all love (taco🌮) this is not the place. Service was over the top with our server taking. Are of all our needs. Overall a great experience and a place to visit.
Manuel N — Google review
I think it’s definitely an experience to have, some of the dishes like the tamale inside the clam and the duck were INSANE! Delicious and fantastic presentation. Mario was our server and he was PERFECT! Super attentive, kind and funny. The dinning area are beautifully located under a tremendous tree that is over 100 years old. The open kitchen layout and the tools they use are super impressive. The bread was also delicious! It’s a preset menu and it’s over $200 per person once you include drinks and tip. They do change the menu seasonly. Only reason for the 4 stars was that I didn’t love every dish particularly the desert and the price is a bit high compared to other great options in the area. But this is definitely an excellent experience and will be back. Great place for a date if you want to impress them.
Juancarlos S — Google review
The food is absolutely great! Even though it was 9 courses, it was more like 11 with some snacks before. I loved the lobster dish, and the wine pairing was really good. It would have been an amazing experience, but unfortunately, it wasn't under the tree due to the season, and the place was very cold even with the fireplace on. I felt they could have put more attention to the decor, but the main complaint really was the size of the dishes. Especially one of the mains was just one thin slice of duck. There was sauce left over, which I would have loved to dip into at least a second or third piece. I left the place kinda hungry, and considering that they dou led the prices since the last time I went, I felt it basically overpriced. It's probably one of the best places one can go in Valle, but I feel they got a little ahead of themselves.

10 out of 10 dining experience! From the hostess, to the space, to the music, to the servers, to food, cocktails and dessert…top notch. Every dish we ate was exceptional. S/o to Brian and the rest of the crew. Money well spent!

“I honestly didn’t know that food could taste this good.” That statement from my husband, who is not easy to please when it comes to food, absolutely nails the experience at Animalón. From the minute you walk in and are escorted under a huge, beautiful, old oak tree to your table, you know that you are in for an absolutely wonderful dining experience. Their seasonal and locally sourced tasting menu perfectly combined the most surprising and delicious foods into a three hour adventure of delight. Stand outs were the mesquite smoked blue fin tuna, duck lettuce wrap and house made breads with charcuterie. Animalón did not miss a single step, from atmosphere to food to the friendliness of every one of the impressive waitstaff. If I could give them 10 out of 5 stars I would. Thank you for making this an anniversary to remember (and for finding my silly husband’s wedding ring!!)

This was my first time. this restaurant was highly recommended to me by someone who lives in Rosarito and has frequented the restaurant. On the positives the restaurant is very clean and beautifully decorated the interior is nice. The servers are very attentive and friendly. The patio has a beautiful view of the hillside and many vineyards. The food was average. We ordered a seafood platter that was OK but not great. We also ordered and shared a steak platter and the steak was very chewy and had lots of nerves and tendons. I did not enjoy the steak. We ordered a dessert, which was the chocolate German cake, and it was also just OK. This is not an inexpensive restaurant and I was expecting more.

We stayed at Hotel and Boutique Spa and decided to try Fuego restaurant. From the start, the service was kind and welcoming. Our waiter Eric was especially helpful with the menu. We ordered the Camarones Agua Chile, Brussels sprouts, rib eye with mashed potatoes, and the cheesecake made with sheep’s milk. The agua chile, rib eye, and dessert were tasty, familiar flavors done well, but the sides completely stole the show. The mashed potatoes were the creamiest we have ever had, silky and not starchy at all. And the Brussels sprouts? Absolutely unforgettable. Roasted whole in a balsamic glaze with thin strips of bacon, they turned a dish I almost skipped into the star of the night. I will never look at Brussels sprouts the same again. Every other version will be compared to these.

A nice place to leisurely explore. The property is well maintained and picturesque. The family that owns it also owns a distillery in Jalisco, so they have tequila in addition to wine. They have multiple tasting flight options for both, some with very creative pairings. We couldn't decide on wine or tequila so got both. The tequila was paired with orange slices, each covered in a different combination of spices (chocolate, roses, cinnamon, sesame seeds, etc.) It was amazing how well it worked. Wine quality is all over the map in Valle, but we liked several of theirs.

We didn't stay overnight. It was a quick visit for a wine tasting. The property was festively decorated for Dia de los Muertos. Looked like a fun fiesta was going to happen. We did a tasting with veno and select meat cut charcuterie pairing. Pics included. They also offer tequila tastings. The wine and meat selection offered a perfect pairing. A rose started. With a red blend and Cab to follow and ended with a merlot. Angel was our host. He was very helpful with info about Valle de Guadalupe climate and grape growth and vineyard griwing seasonality. It was too quick a visit. Pleanty to do or drink rather. Just kmow ahead, Friday- Sunday they have to turn people away due to capacity. So plan a reservation if gowing duribg the weekend. The worst mixology in Valle... Wow my experience was disappointing at best. 1st the selection of spirits are reminiscent of my collage year where quality was not part of the experience. Then when I tried to make something work I was informed that the drinks are pre-mixed and I'm not allowed to choose the spirit... Really? That sounds like a canned drink not mixology.

This is hands down the best restaurant in the Valle. We tried Fauna, Damiana, Conchas de Piedra, and this one blew us away the most. The chef’s creativity and attention to detail made every dish delightful and nuanced. The service was excellent (whereas in other restaurants we felt rushed), and I loved their commitment to sustainability and local farming. I would definitely recommend.

Went to Lunario yesterday for the 8 course menu. First, the roads getting there are quite rough, so be aware. Parking is across the street at the vineyard. Google maps doesn't take you to the right spot. I thought the atmosphere was ok, nothing special for a fancy restaurant. However, the service and the food were really high quality. I really appreciated the vegetarian tasting menu option. Each dish was really well crafted and by the end of the night, I was just the right amount of full. Prices are a little high compared to other tasting menu restaurants in the area. About $200 per person with a couple of drinks. If you are a foodie, I would 100 percent recommend coming here. Had a really great meal! My favorite dish was the carrot taco!

Top fine dining experience in Valle de Guadalupe! Beautiful grounds and wonderful culinary experience. One of the few places where the FOOD is memorable, not just the grounds or experience. A lot of attention to detail both in the food and the service. I watched as Chef Sylvia personally checked every plate before it went out. Because the location is confusing to find, they have someone waiting at the entrance of the grounds to guide all customers to the restaurant. Will definitely come back again!

The food was amazing. This is legit Italian food. The chef clearly knows what he is doing. He is Italian so..... Every bit of this food is high quality. We had the caprese sald which was extremely fresh and the pesto was fabulous. We also had pastas and the steak which was crusted in salt and cleaned with olive oil and rosemary after removing from the crust and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The pastas were cooked perfectly al dente and so incredibly rich in flavor. If you have eaten in Italy and enjoyed the difference in their authentic style, this is the place for you. And.....the drinks are also a delight. I had a negroni(classic).

This Italian restaurant is a true gem! My husband and I visited from LA as it came recommended to us and wow the food was so beyond delicious, the atmosphere is sweet and rustic and the owners are Italian who have lived in the area for 20 years. I’ve visited Italy many times and I can honestly say the food was some of the best Italian food I’ve ever tasted, so well balanced and fresh and very good flavors. We had the zucchini tower, the arugula salad, the taglioli with zucchini pasta, the gnocchi and the tiramisu. The owner is also very welcoming and sweet and the service was top notch. I came here and was surprised that there are no other reviews. Highly recommend it! We’re already planning next time we come to visit. Thank you for a wonderful time. Gracie Mille!

Restaurante Sarmiento is a great place to eat with anybody. The food, the views, and the cleanliness of the place are all great. I have literally been here about 25 times. But I've also been to many of the other places in the valley as well. Miguel Fuentes is the owner and a wonderful man. The wait staff is attentive and very polite. Everything is spotless! And the food is excellent. Always. If you are looking for a place to get a great breakfast, come here! You'll be happy that you did.

Looked for a reasonably priced restaurant in the Valle de Guadeloupe and found it here! It's a fairly simple but nice Mexican restaurant with great food, good prices, and an excellent wait staff. We also met Miguel and his wife Blanca, who are truly amazing owners. They shared much about their lives and efforts here in the Valle. If you ever meet them, you'll feel an instant warmth and connection. They run a fabulous restaurant and tasting room and deserve all the support they can get. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed.

Great wine, delicious food and fabulous service. We really enjoyed their wine but we were really surprised at their food menu - it's surprisingly very delicious! We were planning to just grab a couple snacks but we ended up having dinner there. Also, their staff was really great. The day we went it was with a large group and they were so sweet and helpful. Again, I want to point out that we were large group because that can be stressful for restaurants/wineries but the Rubio staff was incredible. I highly recommend them.

The food here is a revelation. Shared 4 small plates with my BF for lunch, each one better than the next: the roasted cabbage was our absolute favorite (sits on a nice thick smear of the smoothest, lightest pureed cauliflower ever), followed by the focaccia bites (piled high with a ricotta-like cheese of my dreams, plus a bit of dry sausage and an anchovy), but don't sleep on the Spanish tortilla with shrimp, nor the tostada. This was more than enough food for midday after a wine tasting, and it was all spectacular. BELIEVE THE HYPE. Eat here now.

Wow! I was blown away at this place- $85 for a tasting menu at a Michelin restaurant?! Roasted oysters are a must. The oyster on the half shell was the best selection and fresher I’ve ever seen as well. Split 12 oysters, a bottle of brut sparking, and end with roasted oysters and it’ll be one of the top meals you’ve ever had!
Alyse J — Google review
Overpriced food, flavorless, nothing special. We ordered 6 dishes from their menu, and all of them were pretty bad. I've been to a few Michelin star restaurants in different countries and that usually means it's going to be good but not this place , I want to know why this place got a star, this makes me doubt the way restaurants gets their stars. They also never changed our plates between courses . in the end, it was just a mixture of everything on the plate. Also , another thing that I thought was pretty distasteful, the was a lady with sunglasses in the back table I'm guessing she's an owner, manager or something but she was talking to one of the servers in a really disrespectful way, overall this place was bad , nice server but inexperienced. I would not recommend this place
Heriberto J — Google review
This restaurant is very small and cozy. We only had wine here. They are offering a good and delicious selection of bubble wine. The food looks delicious but not the cheapest. But if you are into Seafood and Oysters that is supposedly the go-to and you should give it a try. The food menu consists of a variety of delicate appetizers and seafood. Perfect spot to enjoy a wine with a delicious snack with a great view.
Jasmin H — Google review
This restaurant is more about enjoying light, flavorful dishes like seafood and wine rather than heavy, filling meals. It’s the kind of place where you savor different flavors and appetizers rather than eating one big, hearty dish all at once. I personally recommend to order the fresh oysters and the baked oysters to try both. I also ordered the poke and it was very flavorful with home made tostadas. The service was very attentive and patient with the questions that I had about the menu.

Delicious and fresh seafood. Unfortunately the service was kind of slow and there was not enough shade and the sun was pretty rough during lunch time. Nonetheless, the food was worth it. Iggy's BBQ La Misión is a pleasant restaurant with a lively atmosphere. On Saturdays, they feature live music performed by a talented group. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes and refreshing drinks. One standout drink is the margarita de frutas Rojas, which is described as fresh and unique. Their BBQ beef ribs plate is particularly notable for its flavorful and tender meat that easily falls off the bone.
This was the most fun I’ve had at a barbecue joint ever. It’s more like a backyard party with a house band a bunch of fun people dancing and having a good time. I quickly made friends with the family at the next table despite the language barrier. Be warned that you need to do a little off-roading to get there from the free road, which is true of many of the restaurants in the Valle. I can’t wait to go back!

The boyfriend opted for the flautas de pescado and barbacoa de res, accompanied by grilled corn. Unfortunately, he didn't enjoy the flautas. However, both the barbacoa de res and grilled corn were decent but not exceptional. While the barbacoa was moist and tasty, it seemed to lack some seasoning. Similarly, the grilled corn was delicious but could have used a bit more flavoring.
This is my 3rd visit and it doesn’t disappoint! It’s as fantastic as my first visit. First off, Juan has been there from opening week. He was our server and I highly recommend him and Alex. The food is amazing and served promptly. This is casual enough to go in jeans, but fancy enough to celebrate a special birthday. The Nebbiolo Cab wine went well with the ceviche, taquitos and tluyuda dish. If you pair the churro dessert with the Nebbiolo wine, the dessert brings out the spicy notes of the wine. This restaurant is located inside xolo winery, so sometimes the dogs are in the lobby and your able to go and pet them.

Boyfriend got the flautas de pescado and I got the barbacoa de res and the grilled corn. We both didn't like the flautas. The barbacoa de res and grilled corn were both good but not great. The barbacoa was juicy and delicious...just felt like it lacked some seasoning. The grilled corn was also delicious, but also lacked a little seasoning. Service was attentive and friendly. The churro was the highlight with the oaxacan chocolate mousse and creme sauce. DELICIOUS. Also, the view of the pond was lovely.

Great view and grandous entrance. Staff was extremly nice and attentive. The menu offers typical dishes from the region and Mexico City. We tried the picanha, clams, and Tlayuda as well as some of their mixology. The highlight of the evening was the tlayuda, great flavor. Clams were extremely salty (maybe from the machaca?), and the picanha had nothing special and lacked flavor (tortillas and sauces were great). The food is basically ok but not worth the price or maybe the kitchen just had a bad day.

I had an unforgettable experience at Salvaje Restaurant at Xolo Winery in Valle de Guadalupe. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning view. The service at Salvaje Restaurant was exceptional. The staff was attentive and friendly. Despite the cooler evening, the heaters provided a cozy and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy my meal. The food was simply outstanding. I tried the grilled octopus, and it was the best I've ever had! It was perfectly grilled. My friend also ordered the aguachile, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The dishes were perfectly balanced and presented beautifully, making the meal even more enjoyable. To complement my meal, I tried some of the amazing drinks from the extensive menu. The bartenders at Salvaje Restaurant really know their craft, and the cocktails were expertly mixed and full of flavor. I especially enjoyed the tequila-based drinks, which were simply superb. Overall, I can't recommend Salvaje Restaurant enough. The view, service, food, and drinks were all top-notch, making it an experience that I will never forget. If you find yourself in Valle de Guadalupe, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Salvaje Restaurant at Xolo Winery. You won't be disappointed!

Guests can interact with the chef and his team while enjoying breathtaking views of the mountains.
Chef Antonio is amazing and along with his staff, they create a unique experience for both the palate and the soul. We decided to stay at Hotel Boutique and Spa in order to enjoy this special experience at Valle Omakase to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary! It was a once in a lifetime experience that we will cherish forever. We recommend everyone to experience this for yourselves. I can’t wait to come back and see what Chef comes up with next.

My wife and I have been to Valle de Guadalupe many times and each time we look for a unique experience. This is definitely one! Each dish was intricately made with care and love. The flavor explosions made each bite worthy of a meal unto itself. The atmosphere was relaxed, like a family around a table. And the chef was a pleasure to spend time with. The feeling is that of being in the kitchen of the chef himself, while he cooks dinner with friends. I definitely recommend getting the drink pairing! If you're a foodie looking for something romantic or just for your next flavor adventure, don't miss this spot!

This was my first omakase and it was very special. The atmosphere is incredible with panoramic views of the sprawling vineyards surrounding the property. It is intimate, it is experimental; Chef Quindere has incredible vision and taste and wove an immaculate tapestry of both fantasy and reality. What an adventure this course was, complete with such a delightful playlist that took me somewhere Else. Do not miss.

This was a premium sensory dining experience. It will more than satisfy your sushi craving (esp in a region with a noted lack of quality sushi options) but it’s more than great sushi - it’s art from start to finish. Even those who aren’t fans of sushi will be wowed. The restaurant is inside the Hotel Boutique Valley de Guadalupe property. It’s upstairs and THROUGH the other restaurant, Fuego to reach Omakase. The space is bright, airy, minimalist, but still cozy and intimate. Soft but upbeat music, panoramic views of the orchard through floor to ceiling windows, and very kind and attentive staff. The chef and his staff made each course right in front of us; it was fascinating and the service was top tier. The chef somehow manages the PERFECT amount of food. We were very pleasantly full and satisfied, without being unpleasantly overfull - you know that feeling. The food scene competition in Valle is stiff, but this place absolutely deserves a spot at the very top. It’s worth the drive and if you’re debating on splurging, do it! It’ll become a core food memory. We’ll be back.

What a fantastic experience. The Chef and entire staff were top notch. The food - oh my god the food - one of the best culinary experiences we’ve ever had. Perfectly paced, unique flavors, hospitable environment. The space was beautiful as well, we can’t wait to come back for sunset views. The best.

We did a lot of fine dining in Valle but this was by far the best tasting menu, quality and service. Every single plate was incredible. The truffle ice cream was the best ending and Chef Quindere was incredibly friendly, professional and detailed oriented. As a foodie and world traveler (76 countries), this is hands down one of the best dining experiences I have had in my life. Very impressed and highly recommend. Worth every penny.

Restaurant
Bruma Wine Garden is an impressive restaurant with luxurious decor and excellent food. Its prices are high, but it's worth the money for a truly magnificent dining experience. The staff is attentive and friendly, and they make sure that you have a great time.
The menu is creative, and the food tastes live up to the creativity. The main courses were exceptional! The ingredients are fresh and local to the region. I don't know where else I would find tender beef tongue on a freshly rolled pizza dough with Mexican cheese. The Lechon on croissant sitting in sauce reminds me of a French dip. The short rib noodles look massive! It is full of creamy beef flavors, you will find yourself slurping for more! Note: This restaurant is outside the gate to the Bruma Winery. In the same garden area, there is a "market", a wine tasting shop/bar, this restaurant, and a cafe/dessert shop. We made a reservation here thinking we can also visit the Bruma Winery, but weren't allowed into the winery because a separate reservation at the winery is required.

Beautiful garden with an elegant interior design. They agreed to do a customized tasting for us. It consisted of 8 courses. The ceviche was a refreshing starter. The Broccoli hummus was smooth and well prepared. I liked the Croquettes and the crispness and smoothness inside. The famous chicken and waffle were good but overhyped due to the current trend. The Cesar Kale Salad was a needed vitamin load before the meat heavy dishes. The Noodle beef combo was rich in taste but very heavy. The pizza was delicious, but after the meat dish, the fatty bacon on it was overwhelming. The desserts were honestly just ok. Very standard American desserts. However, the beautiful and tranquil ambiance in the garden is very much worth it.

I remember when Bruma Wine Garden was an oasis in the trees, perhaps by a river bank. Now it's a modern upscale eatery with attached hotel, coffee shop, stores. We enjoyed the pizza, but, mxn$175 for a bottle of water seems high. They still have the unique broccoli guacamole that I remember from years ago.

so i experienced bruma wine garden when it was outdoors in back. being relocated up front, in an actual restaurant environment was not it for me. it felt like every other michelin restaurant, and unlike before it was different and one of a kind and unlike any other experience. food was still incredible, although the serrano ham being removed was very disappointing.

Delicious food, excellent service, and beautiful atmosphere. Great place to have a nice dinner or lunch in Valle de Guadalupe. We had the Ceviche, Roast Beef Sandwich, and the Birria Pizza. Some of our friends order some vegetarian options. Everything better than what we expected. Be mindful that the each portion is bigger than what it looks on the photos. Thank you BRUMA Team!

If you are looking for a great mid day dining experience this is a must visit. We had tostadas and fried fish/chicken today but have had pizza in the past. We haven’t had a bad bite to eat in two visits. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is casual but happy. When we were there it was a mixture of families, couples, a birthday party and what looked like a girls trip - all were well attended to just like the two of us. I also had a mocktail made with pineapple and coco cream that was delicious. Accessibility: you park across the street and have to cross a dry creek bed to get to the restaurant. There is a staircase down and up for you with handrails. Probably 6-10 steps each. I didn’t look around for other access points.

I took my wife for our anniversary. The place is gorgeous outdoors restaurant, chill place, food is fantastic! And dessert is simply the best I ever try. We try pizza, ceviche, guacamole and cheesecake. Don’t forget to take a picture behind the bar!

The restaurant has breath-taking views of the mountains and is staffed with friendly staff. The menu changes throughout the year, but there are usually a few vegetarian or fish options. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, and the food is good.
Gorgeous hilltop location with a view across the Valle de Guadalupe and the Sierra Blanca. The modern architecture is very appealing and upscale. There are some fine Arabian horses at a nearby stable. The cuisine was fabulous -- an interesting blend of traditional Michoacán and contemporary. The wines are very good and pair well with the food. We had the tasting menu and highly recommend it. Two of our party are vegetarians and they found many offerings. Don't skip the appetizers -- they are delicious with ample portions. The service was excellent. This place is not as well known as some in the Valle, but it deserves to be.

This is a stunning and modern restaurant with an expansive patio. It is perched on a hill overlooking vineyards and the Valley. The cuisine is elevated Michoacana and it was excellent. We were staying next door at Banyan Tree and the owner very graciously offered to provide us a ride back.

I don’t know why this place isn’t more popular. Everything I’ve ever tried here has been DELICIOUS! Once Pueblos is Valle’s best kept secret. This is my second time doing the six courses and the menu changes every few months. Everything is amazing and they will even make new cocktails for you if you ask.

An incredible experience! We were a group of 6 having lunch during day of the dead. The property is perched upon a large hill, slightly obscure from the main wine route but worth the drive. Everything we ordered was unique and our server walked us through the ingredients and the origins of each item. The restaurant overlooks the valley in a 180 degree dinning hall, paired with a tasting room on the side. Service was fast and informative, I will highly recommend a set meal either for dinner or lunch, it's an experience not to be missed.

Beautiful facility. Lovely gardens perched on a hilltop with fantastic views of the valle. Wonderful food. We ordered off the menu rather than the tasting menu and everything was amazing. The chile/garlic rib meat was very flavorful and tender. The fish was amazing. My friend was pleasantly surprised by the tongue and I loved my carnitas. It was a lovely end to a day of wine tasting.
Lisa C — Google review
Staff is very friendly. The views from the restaurant are breath taking. Parking is down the hill, so you will have to do a little bit of walking, but once you reach the top, it's worth the workout 😉. Their drinks are good, their wine is very good. The menu changes throughout the year. My favorite part was the views from top of the hill.

Beautiful restaurant, we opted to eat outside and they provided a heater for our table. Service was excellent, our waitress Alejandra was very attentive and made our experience special. The only downside was a fixed menu, I would have appreciated a veggie or fish option.

Emat Winter Room is a culinary gem nestled in the stunning Valle de Guadalupe, offering an unforgettable dining experience that combines elegance with local charm. The restaurant prides itself on its exceptional service and attention to detail, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. Chef Salgado showcases his mastery of flavors through dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients, reflecting the vibrant essence of the region's cuisine. Dining here is not just about food; it’s a sensory journey enhanced by breathtaking views of the valley, especially during sunset.
Absolutely amazing dining experience! Service is excellent, professional, and detail oriented. The food is out of this world. The dishes are sourced from local ingredients and prepared with attention to detail to create elevated and vibrant flavors of this region in Mexico. Chef Salgado is a master at creating unique flavors to create wonderful dishes inspired by his upbringing and the area. This place is a much try! The views of the Valley are amazing as well over dinner during sunset. Come for the unique dinning experience. Much try the beet salad, fish of the day, and sopes. Definitely come and you will leave very happy. My partner and I split the dishes and it was plenty for both of us after a day of wine tasting.

Recently had lunch here for the second time And it was just as good as the first time. Sadly, the Main restaurant in the middle of the vineyard cannot be used now due to wind and it was so beautiful, but even in their winter space it is worth a visit. There are so many restaurants in the Valle and the food here, the vegetables, they are truly exceptional. We come here to have a good clean lunch, especially after eating and drinking so much wine in the Valle. Their salad, their vegetables, their risotto, I don’t know what they do, but it is so delicious. Highly recommend but don’t expect it to be a “scene”now that the location has been moved.

Looking forward to returning, La Justina Valle offers exceptional alcoholic beverages and the espresso martini is outstanding. The flavor is silky and intense. Another drink, crafted by the bartender as a surprise, is also remarkable. Highly recommend the flavorful tacos de lengua with fresh tortillas and Al pastor seasoning, as well as their steaks. The churros with ice cream were a hit among customers. The DJ provided great entertainment. This establishment consistently delivers excellent food and service without fail.
Came here on a Wednesday evening in winter when other restaurants were closed. What an amazing place! It was a cold evening and seating was outside. However, they had a nice gas heater next to our table, and brought blankets to wrap up in - very thoughtful. The food here was some of the best I have had in Mexico! We ordered slow-roasted ribs and lamb entrées. Both were delicious. Ordered one of their house red wines and we had dessert. We loved the ambience and will be back here!

The food menu provides something of everything. A lot of items from the American cuisine. The food was just ok. The raw tuna had a somewhat weird taste from the marinade. The vibe is overhyped. The music was too loud to have dinner. And it was not exactly a clubbing vibe to justify the loud music.
Jasmin H — Google review
On October 12, around 4:30 p.m., I went to this restaurant with my cousins to have some drinks and relax. What was supposed to be a nice afternoon turned into a nightmare. When we walked out, we found my sister’s truck window shattered, one tire flat, and all of our belongings gone. Everything was stolen. It’s such a horrible feeling — knowing that while you’re inside having a good time, someone is outside robbing you. What makes it even more unsettling is that our server took an unusually long time to bring our pizza, which kept us inside longer. It might be a coincidence, but it didn’t feel right. I don’t have proof of who did it, but I can’t shake the feeling that something suspicious was going on. Please, if you decide to visit this place, be very careful with your car and valuables. I truly hope the owners take action and improve the security, because no one deserves to go through something like this.
Perla L — Google review
Two Sundays ago I went to this restaurant to enjoy and relax with my friends and family. The server we had was not the best. We ordered a pizza along with some drinks and the drinks came out fast but the pizza took over an hr to get to the table even though there weren’t many people there. After eating and having some drinks we decided to take off before it gets dark, like around 5:30pm. To my surprise, once I got to the parking lot, I realized my vehicle had been broken into. They broke the window, slashed the tire, and stole everything I had. When I questioned the personnel at the restaurant about their security, they said that the parking lot belongs to the winery not the restaurant and that they’re not responsible for whatever happens at the parking lot. My vehicle was not the only vehicle that was broken into, there was another one. I loved going to valle and Justina but i do not recommend going to this restaurant after what happened to me and how it was handled.

Things to know about this restaurant. Number one, PRICEY. For the quantity of food it's a bit steep. Number two, You must make a reservation or you will not be allowed into the premises. On a good note, it's pet friendly. Our dogs were greeted with a nice bowl of cold water. Perfect for the hot weather. Premises are quite beautiful. Nice vineyards. We came here under The understanding that they're mixology drinks were the best. Sad to say, that was not our experience. The menu was printed in paper they gave us one copy for all of us to share yet we were asked to borrow it every time customers arrived at a table. All in all, there is definitely room for improvement.

Very nice views and good food. Reason why they don't get a 5, the staff was nice and friendly, but appeared unorganized. We had previously made a reservation, which when we arrived they didn't have us on the list. Their mixed drinks are very good. Would I come back...maybe. This Russian restaurant is a cozy and delicious place with homemade food and pizza. They have a small but tasty wine selection that's made from old Russian/European recipes. They also have an old Russian museum on-site, and live music on weekends, maybe daily not sure. Overall, this is an amazing place that you will definitely want to check out!
My wife and me enjoyed this beautiful place . From the restaurant to their pets company. Great food and drinks . Strawberry mint water is tasty. And the chicken empanadas are delicious. We checked out the museum and it’s small but it’s rich of history. The lady is awesome very friendly and is related to some of the people in the picture shown . Definitely going back . 2hrs is enough to get lunch and get to know about the Russian history of el valle de Guadalupe .

Eating Lunch in the shady courtyard under the fig trees was special. Great service and the Russian inspired food was an unexpected treat. My favorite was the first course of duck, potato and shredded beets in a tidy stacked packet whose flavors exploded when the warm consomme was poured over it all releasing the pink color of the beets. A visual feast too!

Loved this place. Had empanadas to start as well as pizzas and also the parrilada was amazing. Though I can see some people not enjoy dogs roaming around I found them so cute and very enjoyable around us gave it a very home-y feel to it. Their sauces were so delicious as well and honestly can go well with any of the dishes.

This was the first time around Valle de Guadalupe and we found this place on Maps as we were close. Let me tell you this place won't let you down! It is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I'll start with the place. It is totally cozy, romantic, simple but well organized, and the tables are impecable, flowers cut daily to make the setting more enjoyable, and everything is setup really nice! The service is outstanding! Greeted with a smile, asked for our order nicely and they were very patient! (I have kids, sometimes it is a challenge for the waiters). Now what is the most important thing, the food. I have to tell you, they've got the best spaghetti my wife and I have tasted! Handmade noodles, sauce made with a hint of mint, high quality meat, and very well served plate. We asked for the small one for our kids but my wife and I had a bite and was enough! We asked for a Vegetarian pizza and WOW! The crust was perfect, sauce was freshly made and vegetables used were fresh as well! Cooked in a wood fire oven makes the pizza a great main course dish! Dessert... Oh big and delicious apple pie! Nothing like what you've tasted before! Served with hand made ice cream, it is something you need to go for! Wines and other gourmet and homemade treats such as mermelades and cheese, are available in their gourmet boutique. Visit them!

Wonderful experience overall. It was a privilege and an amazing sensory experience. The ambience and the food were just beautiful. This has to be our favorite dinning experience in all of the Valle de Guadeloupe!! So much so we came here twice this month alone (from San Diego). The first time, we discovered it by accident and had one of the most memorable dinning experiences -EVER. The talented chef was SO CREATIVE with vegetables - picked from only a few feet away in their enviable garden with a freshness that will ruin all other vegetables from now on. His cooking of the uniquely chosen local proteins leaves you in awe, but it is the vegetables that you will remember. We were so impressed, we had to return only a few weeks later. We were happily greeted with an entirely new (and equally delicious) menu! The staff could not be nicer or more accommodating - from the groundsman who greeted us in the evening with a flashlight from the parking lot, to the attentive staff, owner, and chef, who came from the kitchen to welcome us back on our second visit. We can't wait to return!

I completely love this concept and support the vision of this restaurant. Most vegetables, fruits, and plants are directly grown in the restaurants garden next to the patio space. We got a personalized tour by the owner where we got a preview of the flavors of the dinner. They are also experimenting with cross flavors that were new to me and unbelievably intense. The 9 course dinner was exquisitely put together and well prepared. This is a restaurant I will definitely come back to.

It’s been 3 weeks since our amazing experience at Olivea and we’re still talking about it! What a treat Olivea is, it’s truly wonderful what they are doing here. You can feel the pride and dedication from every staff member and Angie the owner was so lovely, she made sure every table was made to feel welcome. From the vegetable garden tour before entering the restaurant to the perfectly executed 3hour meal, it was a seamless and extremely wonderful and absolutely delicious experience. Nested in the hills of Ensenada, Mya and Olivea are a fantastic retreat for peace of mind. We went for the 8 courses dinner, which was delicate and locally sourced (we actually got a tour of the garden from which the ingredients for our dishes came from!). The personnel is very attentive and welcoming. The experience is unique and they even have menus for vegetarian and gluten free. We recommend this experience 100%!

Amazing, delicious and organic. From the garden tour to the restaurant, every aspect of the restaurant experience was tailored for REAL farm to table experience. The vegetables we tasted in the garden were presented to us on the table according to each dish that was served to us. They have a vegetarian tasting menu and also a meat based one. Each dish was accompanied by an explanation and also a paired wine drink. The chef even came out to present a dish. Besides the restaurant, they have a coffee shop that had a tasty cold brew tonic. If you are looking for an authentic farm to table experience, come, take your time, relish in every flavor and smell and enjoy this unique culinary experience.

Deftly executed farm-to-table cuisine, with a staff as wholesome as the vegetables from their on-site garden (which you’ll tour and sample from, before your meal!). Creative but unpretentious fare, each dish delighted both the eyes and the palate. The rustic-modern interior was also a visual feast. Further, I appreciated how perceptive the staff was: my wife and I tend to prefer a faster paced meal, and without having to say anything, our dishes arrived with a perfect cadence: just quick enough, without feeling rushed. The folks at Olivea Farm to Table truly deserve their Michelin stars—both the red and green. Keep up the fantastic work!

This restaurant is damn near close to perfect. By far one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Not only are the dishes extremely elevated and very well executed, the layout of the restaurant is fantastic and doesn’t have any overcrowding whatsoever but is still very cozy. The design is thoughtful and you want to explore the space. Also, there is a stunning wine storage in the center of the restaurant. The service was impeccable and our server, Alejandro, made us feel so welcome and at home even in such an elegant atmosphere. We selected our second bottle of wine directly from the storage room while he explained the different bottles to us from the ladder, very cool experience. We were also celebrating a birthday and they did a special little tiramisu that was so delicious. It’s sad to see a poor review on here from someone who doesn’t understand or properly appreciate the concept because this place is truly special and the care of the staff is very present and they deserve nothing less than 5 stars!

Salve Asador Campestre is a wonderful grill that offers amazing food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. The grill serves up premium local and organic ingredients straight from the great Valley of Guadalupe, which is combined with the expertise of head Chef Antonio Santollo. It's a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner.
All I can say is “excellent” The starter, salad, risotto to dessert, every single one of them was beyond delicious.

First time at this restaurant and While I do want to give credit to their great service during our dine-in (the waitress was very attentive) our entire party got FOOD POISONING! We ordered a variety of dishes which included the Arrachera Tacos (not pictured), Ceviche and the maíz dish with octopus, all for the table and within one hour of eating we were all sick. PLEASE BEWARE. Leaving this review so that no one has to go what we went through.

Hands down, best view of All winery’s. Favorite place in entire Valle. One of most underrated wines, yet they have won many awards all over the world. Best of the best. A unique work of art. Have to thank to the entire staff. Did I mentioned the restaurant? Best Pork-belly tacos in the world. Offering also vegetarian meals.

Our first time here. The bar has an exceptional view. The restaurant is lovely although treacherous to get to. We sat inside because it was chilly. The service started off well and ended up non-existent. My husband really enjoyed his arracheria. My fish of the day was OK, it tasted like it had been sitting sitting under the warmer for a while and was tepid...:/

Cantera Cocina del Valle is a restaurant located at the entrance of Ensenada's wine route, offering a unique blend of regional flavors and Eurasian fusion cuisine. The menu features a wide variety of dishes including chilaquiles, hot cakes, salads, breads, seasonal fruits, omelets, seafood, meats and flavorful drinks. Visitors can enjoy craft beer in excellent facilities with air conditioning and a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant also provides exceptional food and service.
My friends and I were celebrating my birthday, and Damian and his team served us an amazing meal with excellent wine pairings. Each course was on point, and they went out of their way to make my birthday special. We had multiple dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating. The tuna ceviche tostada was a favorite. Would highly recommend if you're in the Valle region!!

Love this place! My favorite restaurant in Valle de Guadalupe. Chef Javier Altamirano’s cuisine is mouthwatering. The ceviche and shrimp pasta are the best along with the grilled tomahawk and ribeye steaks! Don’t forget to ask for the house sangria.

Almatierra Restaurant, situated in the stunning Valle de Guadalupe, offers a picturesque location that is slightly secluded but well worth the trip. With evident Turkish influences from its owner, this relatively new establishment boasts an impressive resort and hotel. The staff provides friendly and laid-back service while the menu caters to both vegans and omnivores with remarkable dishes. The food's presentation is visually striking, and its taste surpasses expectations given the reasonable prices.
This restaurant is a gem!! Lovely big patio set in the vineyards! Food is gourmet - delicious! Prices r reasonable. Some nights there’s live music on the patio too. Salvador our waitor was so professional. We will be back, that’s certain!!

This establishment exceeded expectations. A Monday visit revealed a tranquil and uncrowded atmosphere. The meticulously maintained gardens and first-rate restaurant enhanced the experience. Enjoying al fresco dining, my companion and I savored the sounds of birdsong while overlooking the vineyards. This location is ideal for those seeking exceptional cuisine and a serene ambiance. My beef rib omelette in red sauce was superb. Jose Luis provided exemplary service. I highly recommend this restaurant during your time in the Valle.

Hidden gem, we found this restaurant from staying at the hotel. This was our #1 highlight from our trip last year. Amazing duck and mole! I highly recommend everything on the menu. Cocktails were delicious. Michelin quality
Judy C — Google review
What a great time! The food? Next level. We had the lamb flatbread, the ceviche, and the ribeye—each one somehow topping the last. I sipped on a guava margarita (so good) and followed it up with an espresso cocktail because… balance. 😄 10/10, absolutely coming back!

We visited on a Friday evening, and they had live music, which was very enjoyable. The tuétano was my personal favorite. The flavors were truly exceptional.

Spectacular Valle de Guadalupe location. A bit off the main road and well worth the journey. This five year old venue has a obvious Turkish influence from its owner. The resort and hotel look amazing and that’s for another visit. The service was friendly and easy going. The food was amazing regardless of if vegan or omnivore. The presentation of the food is spectacular and the taste beyond amazing for the price. Highly recommend the vegetable aguachile and the roasted cauliflower -beautiful and delicious in every way. Dessert looked amazing but no vegan options. Highly recommend 14/06/25 revisited: service, food and live entertainment stand the test of time- all excellent. Wish they had pizza on the menu. Mediterranean share platter was a great choice and a great amount of tasty choices. The grilled lettuces with fried shrimp was super delicious and beautiful. Socil, our server was very helpful, professional and responsive. She spoke excellent English and Spanish. The live band was so much fun- everyone was dancing.
David C — Google review
It was a very quiet night, and there was one other party. We had the flatbread and lamb. The flatbread was all right, but the lamb was wonderful. The pairings of their vegetables and slow cooked lamb au jus and swiss chard was lovely. I would not consider recommending this for 900+ MXN or almost $50 in total. The service was great. Their food is good and if you don't really care about prices, you will appreciate it. Edit - I would like to add that despite the price, it is honestly worth the drive out :) The price may be a deterrent for what you get, but it was a great experience overall. All the staff were quite accommodating!

We stopped her for lunch and wine on a weekday and had the place to ourselves. Everything was incredible. We enjoyed the food even more than the wines. Our server, Xochi, made the whole experience such a wonderful one. Aside from the delicious food, the place is so thoughtfully decorated, incorporating the best parts of Turkish art & design into such a stunning property. Even the bathrooms are beautiful.

Dulce Vida by Solar Fortun is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable culinary experience away from the bustling Valle traffic. This place is beautiful. Absolutely must visit. Away from the heavy Valle traffic. When you drive the dirt road and you think you are going the wrong way keep going, you’ll get there and it will be worth it. The ceviche is excellent, the canasta tacos even better. The house tatemada salsa is great and goes with pretty much everything. Had the Baya Baya wine nice and chilled for the hot summer weather and it was also perfect. (Translated by Google) It is a very beautiful place. I was surprised at how beautiful it is. It's a shame that the service I received was not as nice. The boy who served us, Javier (I think), does not take his job very seriously. Almost as if he were the owner's son. I say son because I highly doubt that an owner treats his customers the same way as this guy. I asked for a wine tasting and I had to ask another guy, who was very friendly by the way, to serve us. The menu is very small and two of the dishes were not available. The marlin taco, very delicious. My daughters didn't like the pasta. Only two kid-friendly options, and only pizza was available. This vineyard lacks organization. Thanks to the guy who took my bill, very kind.

Envero en el Valle is a must-visit dining spot in Guadalupe, offering an amazing culinary experience with delicious food and great wine. The staff is extremely friendly and warm, making guests feel comfortable and at home. With reasonably priced fabulous food, impeccable service, and breathtaking views from the terrace, Envero en el Valle provides a truly wonderful dining experience.
Second time to Enverro in October, the food was gorgeous, wines from Las Nubes are excellent and the view is one of the best in Valle de Guadelupe. The Chef Alex is doing a great job, with his open kitchen and fire wood cooking, the 5 course menu is delicious and sophisticated, as well as the menu a la carte. Recommended at 100%

The food was excellent. The chef greeted everyone in our group. The service could have been better. The bottle of wine we ordered was terrible. We asked for a replacement and was refused. We ordered a different wine and it was good. Not good customer service for a winery. We would have bought more wine to take home.

Wish I could give them more starts. It’s a beautiful experience as it’s located in Las Nubes winery. We had the fixed menu @ $50 pp - oysters two ways, sashimi, fish and snail chorizo taco, steak with miles followed by dessert (we were a party of 4 and got two apple tarts and two perfectly grilled peaches on cream so we could share) Super service. Nice selection of wines from Las Nubes and great local beers, interesting cocktails. Owners are on site to make sure you enjoy. Essentially to book ahead.

We had a great time. The view was really nice and the good was even better. 5 course dinner was excellent. Started we an oyster platter with three differently prepped oysters, followed by a shrimp tostada, next a fish taco followed by a cooked to perfection sirloin. For dessert a pear tart. I obviously don't go into the every detail of how the food was prepped but believe me it was awesome. We will be going back.

This place is super great for it's price and food. The ambiance is quaint. Slow and calming music (Luis Miguel). 🔥 Pit and outdoor couch with wood smoke smell makes it a true Mexican destination so close to the border. Taco stand right next to the restaurant is great. Liquor store is a 5 min walking distance, make sure you get the Mexican snacks.

The restaurant has such a nice vibe, and the food is great- though homey, not the kind of gourmet fare like you find at other places in the region. The live singer/piano player was very low key and pleasant. We didn’t stay at the hotel, but we’re able to see the rooms: Small and probably noisy, since they are very close to the busy restaurant. The patio is charming though (see pic)

We stopped here to eat while touring Valle. The vibe is nice with a Romantic flare. Facilities are nice and clean. A bit on the warm side because we went in August but inside restaurant was cool. Id definitely consider staying here if I was looking for lodging. My rating is only for the restaurant and external visual of rooms sunce we didn't see inside rooms.

On the side of a busy road, has a lot of parking, across from a grocery store, I got the chilaquiles and it was ok- chips were not crunchy and was somewhat seasoned- drinks are good. If you're from the US, do not get their hamburger expecting it to be juicy and warm, tasted bland and the texture was gross. There was a lady making handmade tortilla inside so their tortilla was probably fresh, overall it's a place to eat when you need food but not a "fine dining" experience or place I would recommend to eat while in the Valley and want to really experience the valley. Good place for a drink at night and they have live performers as well.

Toba Valle de Guadalupe is a hidden gem that offers an unforgettable dining experience, perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat. Guests can indulge in fresh seafood specials like tuna tartare with salmon roe and broiled sea bass collar, all while enjoying stunning views of the pool and valley.
Wow, this was one of the best meals my fiancé and I have ever had. Chef Andres and Vanessa were so friendly and spent some good time chatting with us. They brought us out a few of the specials (tuna tartare with salmon roe, pistachio vinaigrette and a delicious salsa as well as a broiled sea bass collar. Oh and I can’t forget the sardines in the brown butter emulsion) Wow. The fish was so fresh and the greens were piled high. Vanessa was on the dessert and she absolutely crushed the sticky pudding and warm Madeline’s. We will be back with friends and we have a new favorite place!

There are a few different spots as part of this facility. We did not go to the tasting room which looks gorgeous but it was closed. We did not stay at the hotel. We were were shuttled up in a Land Rover to the restaurant and bar which is poolside with a gorgeous view. Breakfast ends at 11:30 and lunch starts at 1:30 according to the times we saw. The menu was also very small so there aren’t many options for the patrons. There weren’t many wine options. The red was terrible, the rose was okay, and the sangria was the best thing of what we tried. Based on our experience and the previous reviews, I wouldn’t spend the money on staying her to be separated from my car and feel locked up on the top of the mountain separated from the many other food and drink options in town.

A five hour magical lunch because of the company we kept, the private location of the restaurant, the setting and ambiance created by the architect/developer, and the exceptional preparation and execution by the Toba team. Toba is a quiet, intimate restaurant for people who are either hotel guests at Encuentro or who want a break from the tasting and wine pairing going on at Animalon, Fauna, etc. We were hotel guests, and as vegetarians, the chef was so accommodating. He created a tasting for us for dinner, and we also had all of our morning coffees is there along with pool-side breakfast. 10/10 for service, 9/10 for food, and 7/10 for accessibility as people who aren’t guests have a bit of a trek getting to the restaurant but once you’re there, views are amazing.

On a chilly winter evening, my group and I discovered the delightful charm of Esencia del Valle. With only a handful of patrons present, we were promptly seated and enjoyed swift service. The staff thoughtfully provided heaters to keep us warm while suggesting a cozy table sheltered from the wind. Our attentive server was knowledgeable about the menu and frequently checked in on us, ensuring our experience was top-notch. To our surprise, the chef even made an appearance to greet guests personally.
Luckily, we found this place the day before we left. It is absolutely stunning with all the fresh herbs growing like trees in the front. Great outdoor space. The chef came out and gave us a tour of the garden. The food was amazing and the drinks were some of the best we've had. The avocado toast was on steriods! Looked amazing and was told it was great. The steaks were great. This is one of the experiences you want to have while in Valle. We had to roll ourselves out of here.

We had an unforgettable dinner experience at Esencia del Valle. Everything from the service, to the food, to the ambiance was amazing. Edith was our host all night and was extremely kind and knowledgeable about the food and gave great recommendations. The food was great, we tried the pork belly appetizer, the ricotta ravioli, and the arrachera. A lot of the ingredients were fresh from their vegetable patch! We accompanied our dish with wine and mineral lemonade with berries which was refreshing. And don’t get me started on the WARM bread with butter! The price of the menu items were fair and attainable compared to other restaurants in the area. We really appreciated that the chef came out to say hi to us and invited us to come back soon, and we will! Gracias Esencia del Valle!

Overall amazing experience. We had a breakfast brunch which they were very flexible about. The meat and fish options are plenty and they seem to focus on the quality of the product. This is as farm to table as it gets. They avoid preservatives and unnecessary additives which is great. They have a beautiful garden in the back which is where they source their vegetables from. The service was great, always nice when the chef comes out to introduce himself. We did come in during a slower time which was nice. They have an amazing cafe de la olla, serves as a great pick me up in the middle of the day. It is definitely a little bit out of the way but it is well worth the drive. They would benefit from having alternative milk options. Apart from that the only other negative would be that the view isn’t breathtaking like some other restaurants in the valley have. We were a big party and everyone was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. Would recommend and will definitely come back again.

We visited on a cold winter evening as a group. There were only a few customers so we were quickly seated and service was fast. Since the seating is out in the open staff provided us with a heater but also suggested us a table where the cold wind was less likely to reach us. Our server was lovely and attentive. She new the menu we'll and constantly checked in on us. Chef also came around to greet customers as well. Despite the cold, our experience was excellent as a result of the delicious food and great staff.

AMAZING FRESH CULINARY!! This is a true farm to Table experience. Off the beaten path and worth it for the food & ambiance. The dishes were spectacular! The mesquite grill smelled amazing while they were cooking our meal and they added a burning rosemary pot near us to keep the bugs away. I cannot say enough about how spectacular the food was. Fresh and flavorful. A must try and we will be back often.

Consider this restaurant if you want meals that are savory, fresh and cooked when ordered. Everything we ordered was delicious. The personnel is so sweet and attentive. It is a must to try!!

Its a little hidden gem, you go up the hill of a small town and you'll find it. Rustic elegant nice place for dinner. Great service and food is one of a kind, its not your typical Mexican food at all. Be ready to try unique savory flavors. Ordered an octopus dish, guacamole pizza and a Hawaiian pizza 🍕 😋 👌, sangria was super good too

Wine bar
Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Valle, Bloodlust Winebar is a unique destination that captivates visitors with its striking architecture and vibrant atmosphere. The building, resembling a droplet rather than garlic as some might think, offers an intriguing indoor tasting space that combines funky design with a lively ambiance. While reservations are highly recommended—especially on unexpectedly busy days—the experience is well worth it. Upon entering, guests can expect a chill vibe where casual attire fits right in.
A very unique place with all the alien looking architecture and lights which is beautiful. Recommend to visit at night time. DJ is a bit extremely loud indoors but somehow it works well with vibe. The food is fine,(the tamale was super good.) the wine is good , and the people who work there are super friendly and nice. If you are around this area then it is worth visiting at least once. (Go with reservation otherwise will wait a bit around the dinner time)

It took us almost 2 hours to drive here from San Diego, but was totally worth it. We made a reservation one day before and got there on time. As you approach the place, you see it’s totally different than anything else around it. As soon as you walk in, you are transport into a different world with light breeze coming from outside and really artistic Energy inside. I had a glass of Grenache rosé and was very interesting, unlike any other rose I’ve ever had before. Food we ordered was delicious too, and coffee was great. Staff were so nice and accommodating and places had great vibes. Would love to go back!!!

As crazy as welcoming and accessible. The garlic shaped construction shows itself much more spacious and airy than expected once you are inside. Everybody in the team is absolutely lovely and well trained. These people do a good job also when it comes to music - a program full of surprises. Great mix of local and international guests. Fantastic landscape all around.

Really cool spot, tucked away in Valle de Guadalupe. They have wines from nearby and a cocktail selection. Food is delicious. The spot is gorgeous. Highly recommend.

This place definitely must be visited if you are in the Villa de Guadalupe! We visited it on Monday around 7.00 pm. We were seated right away. The service was excellent! Amazing atmosphere! The food and drinks were pretty good! Highly recommend

Amazing wine bar that also serves delicious cocktails. It is located in the heart of Valle de Gudalupe. The place got a cool design. The food looked pretty good, although I did not try it yet. Next time!
Jasmin H — Google review
The architecture and art was incredible and stands out from the otherwise lovely environment, Above average. Staff were friendly, drinks, wine, appetizers were great. We had a cheese plate, rose on this hot August afternoon, and a "Problemas en el Paraiso". Music was great. Would definitely do it again. The only complaint was the Palestinian flag out front which is overly political and exclusive rather than INclusive, a bit off at a wine bar. We almost left without giving the place a chance. The owners should reconsider making that statement, particularly when they host music festivals, if you know what I mean. Pretty ironic.
Elana G — Google review
Reservations definitely recommended. It was a rainy off-season day so we didn’t think it would be busy, but it sure was. They got us in right away, but they let us know they needed the table at a certain time which I thought was totally fair. We came for the architecture which was as beautiful as expected. The vibe was a little more club-like than I expected, but I didn’t dislike it. The cocktails were top tier. I thought as a wine bar they would have wine flights or something but I didn’t see that on the menu. Since it was loud and busy we didn’t ask about it. Food was enjoyable, we had the shrimp gnocchi and ribs. I thought the portion size of the gnocchi was slightly small for the price. Parking was plentiful. Service was good, staff were a little more brusque and business-like than other places we’ve been but still very professional and knowledgeable. Dog friendly too!

The cuisine at Campesino Cocina Local is flavorful, with generous portions. The ambiance evokes a rural setting, teeming with various animals. The establishment maintains cleanliness and boasts a friendly staff. Prices fall within the moderate range of affordability, making it an accessible dining option. This recently opened restaurant has received positive feedback for its delicious chicken dishes and fresh salads. The rib eye steak is also highly recommended, accompanied by excellent service from attentive staff members.

(Translated by Google) The food was too greasy for my tastes. The flavor was adequate, but the amount of oil for an omelet was excessive. The dish was ordered without cheese, and it came with cheese anyway. The banana pancake 🍌 was very tasty, and the coffee was adequate. The place is quirky, old-fashioned, with goats, ostriches, and dogs wandering around on the side. The service was attentive, but I still don't think I'd return.

Fine dining restaurant
Damiana Restaurant, led by chef Esteban Luis, has earned a coveted MICHELIN star for its innovative cuisine that showcases the region's fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients. Visitors have raved about the warm, inviting, and sophisticated environment of Damiana. The entire dining experience is highly praised, from the setting and lighting to the cocktails and tasting menu. Guests have enjoyed fantastic food from start to finish, with unique dishes and attentive service making it a truly special dining experience.
They only offer the tasting menu of 6 courses for $2,500 MXN but what a menu! They amuse bouche were like 5 different pieces on top of the 6 courses. You must go there with a huge appetite. The dishes are just delicious, no wonder they won a Michelin star. Service is impeccable, so friendly, so willing to help, so careful of details, explaining every bit. The chef came to our table twice to share with us his insights and inspiration for the dishes. This place is an absolute must.

Wow. This place was absolutely amazing. My husband and I came and absolutely loved every dish. All local ingredients but Oaxacan styled dishes. So many tasty amuse bouches. The soup, duck, and pork with the mole were my favorite! Everyone was also super friendly and the timing of each dish was to perfection. I especially like the warmed pottery/dishes came in.

The food tasting experience was one of the best I’ve had. The chef came to our table to explain the appetizers and the suggester order to eat them in. Our host Nolan and our sommelier were both excellent and hands on. Will return again the next time we are here. I recommend this place to all foodies!

An Unforgettable Culinary Gem in Valle de Guadalupe I don’t usually write reviews, but every once in a while, you experience something so memorable, so genuinely exceptional, that it feels like a disservice not to share. Damiana is that kind of place. This was our first trip to Mexican wine country, and as seasoned travelers who have eaten our way through Napa, Carmel, Los Olivos, and Paso Robles, we honestly didn’t know what to expect. What we found was one of the most thoughtfully executed, soul-satisfying meals we’ve had anywhere. From the moment we sat under the romantic canopy of an oak tree, it was clear we were in for something special. The setting was serene and elegant, effortlessly charming without being overdone. The six course meal with wine pairings was nothing short of extraordinary, and we knew we were in good hands the second the amuse-bouche arrived: six mini tastings, each a bold yet balanced preview of the flavors to come. Every course was a masterclass in restraint and complexity, with fish dishes that danced with citrus and spice, a decadent duck course, and a standout suckling pig main that was rustic and refined all at once. The menu changes with the seasons, and everything, except a few spices, is sourced within 20 to 30 minutes of the kitchen, which speaks volumes about the restaurant’s connection to the community. The staff was warm, knowledgeable, and made the evening feel personal without ever being overbearing. The chef, who came out multiple times to introduce dishes, was as charming and gracious as the food was delicious. Honestly, we could have shared a bottle of wine and talked with him all night. We ended the evening with a stunning espresso cocktail and four delicate dessert bites that somehow tied everything together in a perfect final note. To top it all off, meals like this in the U.S. would easily cost three to four times as much. Damiana delivers an experience that rivals the finest restaurants anywhere, but with a sincerity and soul that’s rare to find. We’ll be back. And next time, we’re bringing friends.
Walter M — Google review
Amazing experience throughout the entire time there. Damiana's culinary concept is nostalgic yet new. It provided me with flavors that made me remember my childhood in mexico and a newness that was fun to discover. Their service was impeccable and precise. Their pairings were extremely well done and thought out. We dine often in Valle and so far Damiana has been the best tasting menu I've had in this area. We came with a large party of 7 and the family style plating made it fun and engaging for all of us. Each course was introduced, explained and delicious. We can sincerely feel the hospitality with the staff and general manager. They care about this concept, this restaurant and about people enjoying every aspect of it. It sincerely felt like home. They have a Michelin Star and its very well deserved, and I know we will see the second star soon. We will be back as soon as possible.

Incredible fine dining in Valle de Guadalupe. Every dish was rich and flavorful, and the wine pairing was fantastic. In reality we were served 16 different dishes, with a half dozen of those being full courses. It was a little too much food, so pairing down the sizes would be beneficial. Presentation was out of this world and the service is exquisite.

Wow! Breathtaking! And oh so special. What a true treat this meal was. We appreciate the chef, service, and the beautiful food that was created. It was all truly so delicious and was art. My husband and I were both in awe of how amazing this place was. If you want to treat yourself this place is truly it! I will be dreaming of the blue corn masa tamal

I was so excited to see Michelin Guide finally made it to Mexico; the Michelin Star here is very well deserved. The servers, chef, and chef's father go above and beyond to ensure every detail is perfect. From the specialty duster ensuring no wandering leaves have made it onto your table setting, to every unique plating and wine pairing from the property vineyard, the experience was beautiful. Every dish was delectable and well-balanced with the freshest of ingredients, with many dishes being served by chef Esteban himself. The staff was meticulous about accommodating my food allergy. There wasn't a single dish out of the 15 plates I tasted that I didn't love. With an ever evolving menu, I will be sure to return. In a short time I can see this spot earning a second star.

Bistro LaGrange is a hidden gem that offers an unforgettable dining experience. During my visit at the end of March, I felt like I had the place to myself, which made it all the more special. Our server, Cristian, was not only friendly and professional but also shared fascinating insights about the herbs he picked fresh from their garden. Each dish arrived one by one, allowing us to savor every moment and flavor.
I had an amazing dining experience at LaGrange . The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and efficient. The ambience of the restaurant was also top-notch, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend LaGrange for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!”

Excellent food. Not a lot on the menu but what’s there is very good.

We came here at the end of March and were the only ones here, it was like we had a private experience. Our server, Cristian was very knowledgeable, friendly & professional. Our food came out one at a time and we each had an experience it was really neat. I would highly recommend this place. Our server even took the time to tell us about the herbs they used as garnish as we saw him pick them from the garden. The wines were from Shedeh and they were lovely. I am not a wine drinker and was pleasantly surprised by the Rosé and the Sav Blanc, very smooth and fresh, as was the food. Don’t skip this place!

I would recommended this place more than maybe any dining experience in our nearly 3 months in Baja. The jalapeño pasta and LaGrange salad (we split them both) were perfect. I asked for salt and pepper as a habit but everything was already seasoned as it should be. The wine tasting was enjoyed while our meal was being prepared. How perfect!
