This is a nice place to catch up for drinks though I wouldn’t eat here again. Tough peas, dry no flavour mash and over cooked dry sausages for the bangers and mash. I’d still come back because the location, drink options, staff and atmosphere is actually nice, it’s just the food is astoundingly bad. I hope they do improve because I’d love to come back for lunches

Just had the best pub meal dinner at Bago Tavern! I ordered the lemon pepper chicken, and it was absolutely delicious — perfectly seasoned, tender, and bursting with flavor. You can really tell the kitchen puts care into their food. The atmosphere was just as impressive — warm, welcoming, and truly family-friendly. It’s the kind of place where everyone from kids to grandparents can feel comfortable and enjoy themselves. If you’re looking for a relaxed spot with great food and a down-to-earth vibe, Bago Tavern is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!

Ate here every night guy for a week and think I tried everything on the menu (nearly) - best dishes bangers and mash and the beef lasagna

This place is set out so well. Everything is comfortable with easy access to food and beers. There's an extensive menu on offer with good pricing. Try the 600g rump. Excellent beer choice with craft and commercial beers available. Staff worked flat out and were very pleasant and helpful. They handled the motofest crowd very well. I'll definitely be going back next time I'm here. Outstanding.

Yesterday the four of us went to the tavern for Father’s Day lunch and found the service and lunch poor. I ordered fried rice with prawns that was on the menu only to be told there was no rice today , however other dishes came out with rice, I then changed my order to gnocchi with ragu sauce and the dish was full of fat and grizzle not to mention the sauce was off putting. We then ordered coffee and desert only to be told by the young lady I will not be serving coffee today the deserts of mud cake and carrot cake were stale, all in all I found the place a letdown with their service and food.

We'd have loved if the burger had been vegan rather than veggie. Ended up with chips and salad/veggies. The non-vegetarian food looked great for meat-eaters. Staff were very helpful.

The Chicken pizza was very nice, but the spaghetti bolognas was bland with no taste, the pasta was not fresh (packet) and the mince had a bit of sauce, nothing else. We did not even get offered Parmesan cheese.

This was delicious. My husband & I are passing through town with our three children, we all had pizza and everyone was very happy. Staff were lovely.

2 prawns, 3 calamari rings and 4 bits of octopus is all we got on a 9” pizza for $20.50 and it was stone cold when we got it as they didn’t time it well and our other dish wasn’t ready until 10 minutes later. Very poor value for money.

It’s hard to understand how two of the best Italian restaurants on the mid north coast prevail in low population areas such as Wauchope and Laurieton, but they do! I suppose if it’s a pleasant dining experience the customers will keep coming back. We visited TT tonight and were fortunate to get the last two seats in the house (we booked ahead). Upon entering we were immediately ushered to our table and chilled, bottled water was placed by the waitress. We proceeded to order the Arancini as an Entree and were very impressed with flavour and consistency. For mains we ordered the Potato Gnocchi Ragu and the Lemon Risotto (which included 7 fresh prawns). The ‘home made’ gnocchi was small in size but large in taste, and smothered with tender pulled beef. We shared our meals and we both agreed they were exceptional, tasty, enjoyable meals. Highly recommended! The menu provides a good selection of meals and the wine list comprehensively covers most wine regions in Australia. The competition in Laurieton is tough but we’ll have no hesitation in recommending the Terracotta Trattoria. 👍

Great little restaurant, great staff, good family atmosphere and the food was outstanding. It was also value for money 👍 I recommend this for anyone looking for a great meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

The new cocktail list at the RSL is amazing. Bringing a younger generation into the club. I’ve seen they have some amazing shows and events coming up soon, can’t wait to support the local club and enjoy these events with some amazing cocktails and yummy food.

The best chicken caesar salad in Australia. Prices of all meals very reasonable. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly always. Today, (18/12/23) the Caesar salad was even better, if possible

A lovely quiet retreat / watering hole in the country

Very disappointed. Our meals were cold. They put wrong number on our busser. So who knows how long our meals were sitting on the counter before they called us. One meal wasn't eaten as to cold. All they could say, so sorry. Bar staff so happy and bubbly.

Efficient service. The Timbertown Railway mural was a favourite part of the venue.

I am not even sure where to start. Worst Thai I have eaten. The coconut rice was compacted and gluggy, fried rice was tasteless and all the dishes (yellow chicken curry, green chicken curry, satay chicken) lacked flavour and the spring rolls and steamed dim sims were not very nice. There was zero heat in the green curry. A very disappointing meal.

So disappointing. I lived in Thailand for 15 years, this food is like nothing I ate during that time!! Seafood pad Thai had zero flavour, fish balls and crab sticks were yuck! The pork pad krapow was more veg than pork and the all important Thai basil non existent. A long wait for a very below average meal. 🥲

Food is super delish and they have enticing lunch time specials as well. Cosy little place. Nice atmosphere for lunch or a special occasion.

“Wok Wite inn”, sit right down 🎶. I must be just the lucky one! There is some bad karma in the recent reviews but my partner & I had a glorious Thai meal. We started with a mixed entree each & usually you’d expect a little below average quality. Not so here. We followed up with a Choo Chee Prawn curry & it was ‘Yummy’🤣 We’ll be back because it is the best Thai in the district! Well done 🤗

First time we’ve tried Yummy Thai since moving into the region. What a delicious meal! Best Thai I’ve had in many a year. Highly recommended. We will be getting food from here again for sure. Placed an online order which I rarely do, they offered it on their website so I thought it was the way to order. Ordering process was easy. It said it would be ready at 6.25pm. Got there on time, walked to the counter and enquired if my order was ready, lady walked out the back to check and the person out the back went off saying she doesn’t care about online orders, food wasn’t even close to being ready. Lots of arguing out the back between cooks and a lady. No apology for the delay. There is a sign out the front saying ‘best Chinese in town! I would have to disagree! Ordinary Chinese with bad service

The Chow Mein wasn’t what I thought it was going to be but the dim sums were nice

This place use to be amazing, in last month or so, food tastes burnt or has no flavour, service is not good, you call and don't get through, when tou do get through you get asked to wait, then after waiting get hung up on, Staff is all yelling and cursing at each other. I go here every week for quick easy meals due to long hours working. Think it's time to find a new chinese restaurant.

The chicken in the ham and chicken roll bared no resemblance to chicken, it was so dry, and the pork in the chow mein was also dry. I won't be eating the rest of either dish. The two stars are for the tasty succulent steak dish. I won't be back.

Food has gone to shit last couple months, so much for getting good Chinese in wauchope, flavour has completely disappeared feom food. Who ever took this place over needs to ask for cooking lessons for Chinese food fro previous chef.

Been going there for so many years omg it's so dreadful now food is inedible won't return. .order was Ham chicken rolls ( like leather and burnt ) prawn cutlets ( burnt ) Chicken chow mein ( no flavour and watery ) beef ginger and shallots ( no ginger ) and fried rice ( tasted like from supermarket uncle Ben's It's so bad and $98 dollars latter we chucked in bin.

We paid $67 pork ribs and plum sauce,sweet and sour pork and a special salad fried rice,it would be the worst chinese that we have ever eaten, And that is no exaggeration we had dried out meat covered in a sauce.

This is one of the best pubs I've been to in a long time. It's a real pub with great food at a good price, lovely staff (including the kitty) and incredible views to top it all off. The event nights they host are always a lot of fun. Can't fault long flat in the slightest.

I had such a lovely time there for drinks and dinner! The staff were super friendly and really helpful. The meals were not only delicious 😋 but also really generous in size! There are plenty of cozy spots to relax around the pub and some fantastic entertainment areas. Plus, the camping spots along the river are just beautiful! I highly recommend taking the drive to Long Flat—it’s definitely worth it!

Not really worth rating. Dirty, rubbish absolutely everywhere, including toilet paper and empty beer cans etc, unregistered motor bikes being ridden through the camp, VERY crowded and people on top of each other, and really noisy. The photos on their website are definitely not a true indication of what it is like, or could be. Unfortunately it reminded our group of "Boganville". We moved on!

What an absolute gem of a place! We stayed at the camp grounds down by the river, behind the pub and it was just beautiful ❤️ The river was clear and running, and a good swimming temp. We had the place pretty much to ourselves and could easily spend a week here! The pub had Thursday night pizzas which were awesome, and the staff are super friendly. We honestly wish we'd found this sooner as we could only stay 1 night. If we lived in NSW, this would be a frequent visit for sure. Highly recommend staying here! Only $10 p/p per night and dog friendly, very clean camping area

I had the Chicken Parmigiana. This may seem picky, but the chunky fries advertised on the menu were the same as thin, unfresh McDonalds french fries when I got mine. The chicken did not have enough tomato sauce on top so it was dry. The salad was ordinary. One of the staff was friendly but the others were not interested and they served locals ahead of me in the queue at the bar even though I told them I had just moved into the area. The other customers were totally uncommunicative in the beer garden even when approached in a relaxed manner. On the whole, the atmosphere was not enjoyable, including the river.

Words can not describe the love I have for this Pub, I am a motorcycle enthusiast and it's always a pleasure to stop into the Long Flat pub whenever riding through this part of the world and today I was privileged enough to stay as the road was closed to Walcha. Don't expect the Hilton, but the service is friendly, the beds are comfortable and there are kitchen, bathroom and shower amenities available. Rooms are cheap and the camping fees are only $10 a night by the river!!.. you won't get that value anywhere else. Do yourself a favour and call into the Long Flat pub whenever you're near by, live music on a weekend, great food, great company and cold drinks!. Until she is no more ill always support the Long Flat Pub 🤙

I have stayed at this pub many times and can highly recommend it as a bike friendly place to stay. Park your bike under cover. The staff are great and the meals are the best. ✅🏍️🍻🙂

This is definitely a case of the owner being a highlight of the business. Nathan is very passionate about offering locally sourced food and ingredients for his customers. He shows so much pride with his service and went beyond our expectations. His food is delicious, wholesome and very affordable. We will be back!

A local fixture that has been lovingly modernised by new owners. Fantastic food and service is always warm and friendly, just as you'd expect from a local trader. Fresh, modern menu with reasonable prices and possibly the best coffee in the area. Would suit all crowds, including families, seniors, hipster foodies or even just a workplace lunch.

Our first visit since the make over and reopening. Small intimate cafe pleasant surroundings. Friendly helpful staff. Coffee was great. Only a limited selection of cakes/ slices but we had hedgehog slice which was very nice. Great easy access for the less mobile. Will certainly visit again.

I ordered on my aunty’s app the other day for a XL chips and medium gravy. I waited 55 mins. The young girl on was very sorry and got to my order within 5 mins. I believe her name was Ella. The other young one on said she will “ get onto it” with an eye roll at the 40 min mark. But when I come back 10 mins later the ticket was missing :/ anyways. Don’t expect a quick lunch from here.

Ordered 5 tenders, small chips and a energy drink from here on 12/08/2025,, waited basically my entire lunch break just to get what I ordered but others who ordered before and after me were severed their food earlier Guy who served me had the attitude of not wanting to be there, place basically only consisted of the one guy who served me, and maybe one or two more.. Place was a tad dirty also The food itself wasn’t too good either, despite having chicken salt on the chips they were still bland tasting and tasted like they were either dunked back into the fryer or sat in the heat lamp for a little too long.. basically only good thing was the 5 tenders I ordered

My husband and I stopped here for a late lunch travelling through to Lake Cathie. We waited less than 10 minutes to get our cheeseburger and chicken & salad wrap with mayo. Both tasted amazing -that childhood homemade bbq nostalgia, were generously sized (we were full) and well priced!! Would recommend getting the chicken hot on the wrap. Thanks guys! We’ll be back!

Order an hour before you want to eat even if they say 10 minutes you will be waiting 45 minutes. Orderd half hour ahead and get there and my food wasnt even in the deep fryer just sitting on the bench. The wait time was apprently 10 minutes. Has happened multiple times now.

I placed an order online and was advised it would be ready by 2:00pm. I arrived at the store at 1:50pm, let staff know I was there, and was told it would be another 10 minutes. However, I watched several customers who ordered after me receive their food and leave. My order was nothing out of the ordinary, yet I didn’t receive it until 2:30pm. Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience.

I don't like to say but the chips not very nice not very hot and I think they had been in the oil more then once I'm sorry I have and still do work in take away i know what I'm saying Went there again today and the chips are still shit

Fully burned my food.

I have an issue with the cost of 2 pizzas 1 garlic bread 1 can of Lemon Squash 2 Desserts totally $62.+ Dollars. You advertise Extra Peperoni on your pizzas but you fail to mention the Peperoni you now use is half the size of the slices you used to use. The Peperoni is seriously lacking flavour. 1(Salted Caramel Mousse) of the Deserts wouldn't fill a hole in the back tooth of the Adult Male eating it. I'm sorry but I will not be back. Way to expensive for very underrated food.

For the second time in a row we have been overcharged $20. How does 2 traditional pizzas, garlic scrolls and chicken bites come to $54. On top of that the pizzas were incredibly undercooked and very much lacking in taste. I don’t know how people can like this place and can now understand why wauchope dominos have a bad rep. Sorry guys will not be returning it’s a joke.

Loving that the wife can order ahead when I'm on the way home and its ready when they say it will be. This makes for little to no waiting and happy customers. Its always got a good amount of clientele so they must be doing something right - delivering good pizzas. They also do home delivery to a fairly wide ranging area. Its not uncommon to see their delivery mopeds halfway to Port Macquarie.

I love this place, I have had Thai and Vietnamese food from many different places. I love Asian food. I have not ever had a bad dish from this place! Their pad si ew is perfection with that smokiness that you get from wok over flame 🔥 I haven’t tried a lot from the Vietnamese side (love that food) but the crispy pork stir fry noodle is legendary!!! May be a bit on the oily side for some people but the flavour is the bomb and the crispy pork is CRISPY! which sometimes from some places it isn’t (don’t tell me it’s crispy pork when it ain’t) highly recommend this restaurant!

The food is absolutely amazing... authentic, cooked with care and love. I asked the chef to make me a seafood laksa (it's the benchmark I use at all Thai restaurants). It's not on the menu, and she happily obliged. It was heaven..... the best I have eaten outside of Asia. All the food is excellent.... this chef knows how to cook!

The Food is exceptional however on more than one occasion it’s taken over an hour and a half to receive our order. They can be VERY slow… Valentines Day ‘25 my wife and I waited over two hours for our food whilst dining in. Tonight (30/3/25) we decided to order takeaway at 5:50pm and we’re still waiting for our food at 7:20 Would love to give this restaurant a better review but they’ve been too slow, on a number of occasions.. Would love to try and order again in the future but there’s no way of telling how long they’ll take to have the food ready. Something this establishment should make a priority going forward…. Otherwise, the food is fantastic…

Waited over a 1 and 1|2 hours for our meal. Every other patron whom all arrived after and placed orders after us had received their meals. Asked for time frame on order, spring rolls arrived shortly after but nothing else. We decided to leave as it was unacceptable for the length of wait. We paid for spring rolls before leaving, this is when management should have stepped in! Unfortunately for this restaurant, we will not rebook. There was a lot of takeaway orders coming in and am aware that a lot of restaurants give priority to them but really fair is fair! In this case, unfair and unreasonable to us.

I got the Thai mussamon curry lunch special. Only half the container ! This was not worth it, the other Thai is generous, not this one.

Food was very fresh and well presented. The photos are from the lunch specials menu, which was an amazing bargain for only $10 a plate.

Best and certainly the largest burger I've ever had. Ordered egg and bacon additions. Burger so large, took it home for lunch, then reheated for tea as well. Two-meal burger plus ginger-beer $14. Pity they can't accommodate eat-in. Top service. Can't fault.

We buy hamburgers and chips from Country Kitchen regularly, they are the best. The works burger is a delicious challenge. If your after an original tasty, well cooked, fresh burger you can't go past Country Kitchen.

Nice little cafe. Friendly staff. Nice simple clean food. We had a coffee and toast and sat in at the window seats. The sun was beating in and it was very warm. Suggest it would be better to go after 10 or 11am when sun is higher. Great coffee and definitely worth a stop. 4 star rating not 5 due sun through front windows, not any other reason - perhaps a shade or blind would solve that problem.

What a treat! The Antidote Kitchen was recommended to us by friends and it definitely exceeded our expectations, especially considering it is just a little window during lockdown! The menu is simple yet has something for everyone. I had a vegan bircher bowl which was DELICIOUS and my partner had the ‘lunch box’ which is a fun selection of lots of different savoury bits, it was perfect. We also had cold-pressed juices which was unbelievable and not super overpriced like they usually are! Staff were lovely. Would love to come back when the cafe is open to the public again.

Great coffee & gorgeous healthy treats! Welcoming atmosphere & wonderful staff. The air conditioning provides a nice reprieve from the heat outside also. One of the best!

Antidote is one of the few places in the area that no matter what you're after they will have something for you, the staff are always happy to accommodate for anything. They have a constant rotation of delicious slices/cakes/bars with most baked fresh in house, the entire shop is sourced from local organic farms - an added plus to the already entirely vegetarian menu. They offer gluten free, sugar free, vegan and vegetarian options and the coffee is the best in town. Antidote makes fresh housepressed juice every morning, the have a range of kombuchas and tonics as well AND they use a local sourdough that is the best i've ever had. We visit at least once a week - we're hooked 😊

Great little café in Wauchope next door to the Emporium with a good selection of handmade cakes to accompany your tea or coffee. Staff are delightful and we very much enjoyed our visit.

15/10 for coffee. First time I have had Melbourne-standard coffee outside of Melbourne! Nice friendly staff. Definitely going back next time I'm in the area.

Awesome staff, awesome music, awesome food. The staff were really friendly and approachable and the kebabs are really tasty and fresh. The falafels were not dry but there was a perfect balance. Definitely recommend for the price.

Ever since we lost the other kebab shop, Wauchope was missing the amazing flavours that can only be found hidden within the folds of a beautifully made kebab. Feel Good Food has resurrected this mouth-watering tradition. Their falafel kebab filled with fresh salad and decorated with lavish coatings of BBQ sauce, Aioli and Hommos, was easily the best kebab in the Hastings valley. Great friendly staff. Well worth the trip from Port Macquarie.

The food was amazing, the portions are large and delicious. The staff there are fantastic and passionate about their business. Definitely a must try if you're around wauchope.

This place is an absolute cracker, the food is up to such I high standard in taste and presentation, they really do out do them selfs with customer service also, HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anyone in the area.
