The food was excellent and the service staff were professional and very friendly. However, I would like to point out a safety concern. The restaurant’s main entrance is a glass sliding door. When we arrived, a staff member was at the entrance and the door was open, but when we left after dinner, the door had been closed. Because the glass is very clear and has no markings, it was difficult to see at night, and unfortunately my husband bumped his head on it. For the safety of other diners, I hope the restaurant can consider adding visible markings or making some improvements to the door.

If you’re in Port Macquarie THESTUNNEDMULLET is a must Cocktail - soft creamy delicious bit of a punch. Pineapple juice is just a perfect hint. Yummy. Wow now the Chambord is a super premium black raspberry liqueur is coming out. Delicious sweet (not over) fruity yummy. Wine list by the glass is amazing. I’ll have to come back to try more. Tonight just white. 2021 Lieu Dit Melon d Bourgogne grape. * So much depth of flavour again not over powering. Citrus herbal notes well balanced. 2019 Dm. Christophe- Montee de Tonnerre 1 er Cru Chardonnay. * Nose of minor yeast & light citrus. Mouth is very round with slight hint of nuttiness. Rich and long lasting. Wow just wow. 2014 Leeuwin Estate - Art Series * Nose light nutty yeast. Oh my goodness the taste. Light nutty peach oak on the back. Wow this is so good. Creamy with just hint of oak. Stunning wine lots years left. 2018 Tokaji - Royal Tokaji 5 Puttonyos Assi - PRODUCE OF HUNGARY * Nose of rasin with sweetness. Wow apricot sultanas giant fruit amazing depth beautiful drink. Oyster 1. White miso shiitake pearls - Subtle light sauce Oyster wonderfully fresh 2. Tobika mint line extra virgin olive oil- Lime & EVOO come through it’s so good. 3. Nahm jim - Bang that is on the money spice with deliciousness. Scallops - seared scallops, sweet cabbage, roasted garlic aioli, coral, "oreo" cookie * Beautifully cooked scallops still glistening so professional. The sauce despite the heavy look it’s light balanced. Accompanies the scallops brilliantly. Then all the other accompaniments add robust yet subtle flavours. Delicious plate of food. Fish - glacier 51 toothfish, shítake suimono, savoy cabbage, black rice wafer, daikon, enoki crisp * Tooth fish has become one of my favourite foods. This is heaven. Light buttery wonderful deliciousness. Cabbage almost citrus like - Daikon adds vinegar characteristics * Together as chef wants it’s a perfect balance just perfect humming flavour. Wow. Subtle sweetness from everything near the ends gives another amazing dimension just singing. Desert - passionfruit, white chocolate, ganache and caramelized pistachio our salty crème caramel, yuzu, rum * Pistachio cream is just amazing. The Ganache is light even fluffy. Passion fruit is subtle in the back not overwhelming. This is a delicious way to finish. Light dish of wonderful flavours all balanced. 10 minutes and lightly flavoured passion fruit comes back hints of nuttiness. Now that’s good food.

What a gem! We were warmly welcomed and then thoroughly impressed from starter to dessert 😍 The chef’s work is divine, the service is exquisite and the ambience is delightful! 10/10 on everything! Simply Amazing! Food is delicious and enhanced further with carefully selected wine pairing. Definitely a must when you’re in Port Macquarie.

Lovely location with excellent service. Extensive wine list, complex and varied menu. The steak dishes in particular were a stand out. We were very well looked after on our anniversary, our dessert was a surprise!

A final catch up with friend before I head west and they couldn’t have picked a better restaurant. The service was excellent, the food was sublime and well the view was Devine. Thank you to your team for going above and beyond. I can’t wait to come back on one of my return visits.

The toothfish with shiitake suimono was absolutely amazing! We also liked the scallops a lot! We definitely recommend trying those ones! The watermelon carpaccio wasn’t as impressive as the other dishes though. The kingfish was average as well :)

Staff were great and able to accommodate us, being 20 minutes early. Very kind and happy and communication was great. Well versed in what was in the meals. We loved the house made bread with whipped truffle butter, the oysters and scallops were excellent. We had the 5 dish tasting menu. I would say with the Kingfish, calamari, and swordfish to add a bit more herbal elements and, as well, saltiness and acidity to the dishes. Just slightly left the taste buds wanting a bit more flavour. Overall, it was a great night out and customer service and service delivery was impeccable. Thanks for a great meal.

From our phone booking to enjoying the tasty delights, this place is 10 stars! We ordered coffin Bay oysters 3 ways, I had charred octopus, hubbie the swordfish. I've recently returned from Italy and ate the best med octopus and I must say, my meal this evening was exceptionally cooked and presented and ever so tender. Hats off chefs!! This restaurant has a cool, energetic vibe and Coral, the owner is a masterstoke that enhances the experience. Let's not forget the mixologist! We had the "spice me" watermelon marg..sensational! We,re headed up to qld and ever so thankful that we were accommoted this evening. On our way back down to Sydney, we'll be returning, guaranteed.

It is my favourite restaurant in all of Mid North Coast!! I've had two of my wedding anniversaries there and several other special occasions, and it's a place I always make sure to take friends and family to. The service is impeccable, the atmosphere is cozy and fancy, and the volume is tolerable. it's a fantastic excuse to dress up fancy and enjoy amazing oysters and various sea foods. Their drinks and deserts are a MUST to try! This is the restaurant that made me fall in love with oysters and wine. The wine selection is *superb* I can't wait to go back again, and again, and again.

(3.5 stars) While The Stunned Mullet is the place in Port Macquarie to visit for top tier food and wine, Bills Fishhouse & Bar shouldn’t be overlooked. Locals inform me that they change the menu more often, too, which is a factor when you live in a place with limited dining options. Popping in on Wednesday night for a simple plate with a mate, the welcome was warm and the restaurant was packed wall-to-wall. A glass window into the fish fridge showed off the daily catch: swordfish from an hour up the road in South West Rocks, blue eye cod from Sydney, and Pacific oysters and king prawns from South Australia. I stuck with my hometown and a fat fillet of blue eye cod ($47) in a hearty bisque of Balmain bug and prawns. It’s gentled by crème fraiche and tiny littleneck clams from over the ditch in Westhaven. Environmental concerns keep me from ordering trout farmed in Macquarie Harbour. However, my dining companion enjoyed his thin, golden, ocean trout fillet ($45) presented on a healthy mix of edamame, puffed wild rice and black beans. We shared baby eggplant ($18)—charred almost beyond recognition—over labneh cut by juicy pomegranate arils. It should have been served with side plates, along with a spoon and shell bowl for the bisque. For a midweek dinner, the by-the-glass list holds enough interest. The 2022 Coppabella Pinot Noir ($15.50/glass) showed Tumbarumba is well worth considering if you drink pinot noir.

Highly recommend Bills Fishhouse & Bar!!! We are from the Gold Coast and had 1 night in Port Maq, not knowing where to go. My partner and I eat out frequently and consider ourselves fairly harsh critics - so happy we chose Bills, all food was amazing but the Barramundi was a standout. I haven’t stopped talking about it, hands down the best barramundi dish of my life (I grew up in Darwin and have eaten a lot of it!!). The staff were so very friendly, food came out timely & the atmosphere was perfect. We had the best date night and can’t fault anything!! Well done guys, we hope to be back!!

My wife and I go here every year for our anniversary dinner and every year we are left speechless. You walk in and your greeted with a beautiful welcome and a atmosphere that forces you to relax and enjoy the food to come. Nothing is a problem for the staff, they never give you the feeling of being rushed or being too busy. I feel 5 stars doesn't give bills the credit it's due. We always order the chefs tasting. A 5 course taste phenomenon that leaves you not only full but mesmerised in how they can achieve flavours like this. I simply can't recommend this place higher. The owner should be incredibly proud of all their staff and everything they have created. Well done.

The 5-course tasting menu was wonderful and perfectly sized. Timing of delivery also perfect 👌 - not rushed. We already were sipping our bottle of Orange/ Mudgee Pinot Noir so didn’t do the matched wines. We arrived at 5.30pm Tuesday on opening and were fortunate to get a table. Restaurant was full by 7pm. Will definitely book next time.

This is a charming spot by the water, perfect for those who enjoy a tranquil riverside setting. While we couldn’t secure a table right by the water, we still felt close to the serene beauty of the river. The atmosphere is excellent, though it can get a bit noisy when the restaurant is full—our little one certainly contributed to the lively ambiance! The service was great. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, understanding the challenges of dining with young kids. He thoughtfully prioritized our child’s meal, which we really appreciated. On the other hand, a large man in an apron—possibly the owner or manager—came across as a bit cold and brusque, which was a minor letdown. We had a brief interaction with him at the start. The only time I saw he smiled tiny bit while we were there was when he took order from a group of men. As for the food, it was good but didn’t quite meet the expectations for a restaurant of this caliber. The oysters were the standout dish—fresh and delicious. However, the scallops, though tasty, were disappointingly small, with one being about a quarter the size of what we’ve had elsewhere. The fish was well-cooked, but the seafood chowder leaned more toward a potato soup. The lettuce salad was a pleasant surprise and very enjoyable. I also ordered a margarita, which looked fantastic but was just average in taste—though great margaritas in Australia are rare outside of authentic Mexican establishments. Pricing is very reasonable (~$120 per head including drinks), especially given the beautiful views and overall atmosphere. Overall, we had a lovely experience and are glad we visited. While it’s not a place we’d rush back to, it’s worth a try for the view and ambiance.

The food was okay but did not quite meet our expectations. The steak quality was a bit disappointing and might not be the best choice for medium cooking, especially for kids. However, the environment and vibe were excellent, and the service was very friendly and welcoming.

The waitress service was top notch, but the food quality was subpar. I ordered a medium rare steak and it came well done one, tough and without any juice.

We had lunch here with a reservation and arrived around 12:30 p.m. There were several empty tables with beautiful views, but the waitress led us to a different one. I politely explained that we had traveled all the way from Germany and hoped to enjoy our meal with a nice view — but she completely ignored my request and insisted, in a very unfriendly manner, that we sit where she directed. A simple explanation or a bit of understanding would have made all the difference. Kindness and empathy go a long way in hospitality, and unfortunately, that was missing in this moment. To be fair, the rest of the staff were very pleasant — exactly the kind of friendly, welcoming people we’ve come to appreciate in Australia. The food itself was excellent: every dish was flavorful, and the vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. Parking was also convenient, right in front of the restaurant. Still, that first interaction left a sour note and dampened what could have been a wonderful lunch experience.

Truly the best food i have ever had, everything was delish and the staff deserve the world, they were immensely kind and has the best service i’ve ever experienced. I could not recommend this restaurant any more it was the best experience!!

I’d give them 10 stars if I could! Amazing service, location, atmosphere and food. Come for a special occasion with friends and family or to treat yourself. You won’t be disappointed. The menu might seem to be on the pricier side, but the quality and size of the meals is as good as you would get in any Michelin starred restaurant.

Limited menu, very fancy so not for your typical person. Also not for those who want a proper feed unless you are okay order a bunch of sides because each meal is like 1 ingredient. Each is very delicious though and I'm lucky I got this paid for by my work otherwise I would not come. Though I know this is the intention of fancy places.

Due to the extended wait time, I was provided with a complimentary cheese platter as a starter. I attempted to order pizza from the menu, but was informed that it was not available. Consequently, we opted for steak and arancini instead. The steak arrived after an hour, and while the arancini was satisfactory, the steak was overcooked. The staff promptly redid the steak, but it came out raw but I ate it anyways, someone else at the table had ordered the pasta which the pasta was undercooked and was a small portion Although this experience was disappointing, I intend to return in the future to give the establishment another chance.

Summary - not very good value, food or service. We went for a conference dinner at $90 a head - for this you would expect some good food and some wine on the table. We got one drink each and then had to purchase - which was not cheap. The food was not very good - overcooked and quite plain, with small serves. There were no sides or salads on the table. The service was poor - to the effect that the wait staff didn’t pay attention to how they served and provided those on our table with chicken for entree and chicken for a main - good if you like chicken. Dessert was poor too - they obviously didn’t have enough brownies and therefore smashed what they had into the base of bowls - so you had two small bits below some ice cream. Port Macquarie is expensive and this dining experience was poor too. My views were reiterated by 6 others I asked - so it wasn’t just me. 2 stars cause the food was prompt and the view was good.

Went for dinner with friends for my birthday. Had the chef’s special chorizo gnocchi and mushroom arancini and both were delicious. Atmosphere was beautiful and service was great. I was even gifted with a complimentary glass of wine.

We had dinner here recently. Atmosphere was nice but I did not feel it delivered on the expectation. The service was good but not really relational - the staff did not seem happy but just doing their duty. At one point a waiter came and said our meals were taking longer than expected and asked if we wanted garlic bread. We didn’t think it had taken that long but with the prospect of it taking longer we said yes to the bread. I did feel this was more a marketing ploy to sell more because we got the bread and the meals came almost straight after. The meals we had were pretty unremarkable. Nice, but nothing ‘restaurant special’. The fact I happily paid $45 for a steak and it came very small and not especially tasty was disappointing. Really felt we could have had better at home. So just three stars from me - I usually give 5 but just didn’t feel this was honest for this one.

Nice burger joint! Loved the music selection. Had the Old School. Definitely juicy. Upgrades to onion rings. And small Proper Vanilla shake, nothing but proper and made on the spot!

Ordered the Beef Massive attack. The burger was good. The patty had good flavour to it and the sauce was good. It was filling and delicious. The fries were good but the seasoning was not evenly spread out. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was good.

Really great experience couldn’t have asked for more. Went to grab a couple of takeaway burgers for myself my mum and my son. When the chef saw I was trying to work out something to get for my son he came over and actually helped when I told him what my son liked. He gave some very helpful suggestions. The serving staff are very very friendly with a smile on their face. The food here is amazing. I had a bacon and egg roll which was beautiful my son had one of the burgers with bacon and cheese and sauce on it and my mum also had a bacon and egg roll and all of us were very very happy they tasted delightful, thank you so much . You can really tell that your area of expertise is in the burger because every one of them was perfection.

Overpriced and completely Average. Ordered the Double Beef Massive Attack ($35) and fries ($5) takeaway and have to say for the price it was disappointing. Had to eat it with a Knife and Fork as bun was soggy. Not sure weather this was due to having to wait 10 to 15 mins for other people to order despite my order being ready. Maybe there should be some pro-active employees asking if anyone has ordered take away to avoid phone orders waiting too long.

Went here for a birthday. Was absolutely shocked that a $25 burger looked like a McDonalds cheeseburger. $24 nachos is a quarter bag of LITERAL out of the bag Doritos with some slop, and the salad was some stone cold burnt chicken pieces on a wet sloppy salad. I've eaten food from sketchy looking places in backstreet alleys in third world countries and have never in my entire life (I'm 32) been served food as appalling. There was a 40 minute wait time when the shop was rather empty on a friday night (I can see why), the birthday girl was served a milkshake by a half-cut looking bloke in a flanno who I at first mistook for another patron. I'm really surprised because the photos of the food on google reviews look absolutely amazing, but sadly are the complete opposite of what was received.

All dishes were excellent! Highly recommend the wagyu tataki, Karaage chicken, soy butter grilled salmon and Hokkaido scallops. The service was very warm and welcoming too. Made our port Macquarie visit special.

The food was excellent — very authentic with a strong izakaya vibe. The cooked scallop was my favourite, while my kid especially enjoyed the slightly burnt onigiri.

Went to this place on a whim, while looking for some snacks and a nice drink. Getting the kingfish sashimi was delicious as a thick cut. Wasabi is Freshlyground which I wouldn’t have it any other way. Also had some oysters which the Japanese ones were nice and the others were okay. The staff were fabulous, while providing us great recommendations for saki for someone who is an avid drinker of it as well as someone who is new to it. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

We had a nice experience at Ichi! While the food itself was good, it wasn’t anything particularly special—but the customer service and atmosphere definitely stood out. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, and the restaurant had such a beautiful, cozy vibe. For our meal, we ordered the pork gyoza, wagyu beef tataki (which was absolutely mouthwatering), and nikumaki onigiri. The wagyu beef tataki was definitely the highlight! To finish, we had matcha and vanilla mochi for dessert, which was a lovely way to end the night. Overall, while the food didn’t completely wow us, the experience was still really enjoyable thanks to the amazing service and ambiance!

Everything was absolutely exceptional here. The staff were welcoming and kind, the atmosphere was calming and the food was simply delicious. I don’t usually eat Japanese cuisine, however this has inspired me to have Japanese food more often. This place has truly put me in awe!

Spontaneously visited this place (didn't make a booking) while in Port Macquarie. Loved that the waitress was Japanese—she was delighted when my husband spoke Japanese perfectly. The food came out quickly and it tasted so good.

I came to a Japanese restaurant because I wanted to eat sushi, and the sushi was really delicious. The fish was fresh and the plating came out well that made me crave it, so I was satisfied. The draft beer was cool and delicious. If I visit the port again, I would like to go there again.

We arrived in Port Macquarie at night. after checking in at the hotel, we immediately ate at this restaurant. The choices are very many and varied, from sushi, sashimi, ramen, and to rice. All the tastes of what I ordered are also quite good. The price is not as expensive as in big cities. The service is also very friendly and fast. Don't worry about car parking, it's across the street.

Seems quite popular in town. Before the dinner time, it was quiet on the street. Arrived at the restaurant, there was already a long queue in front of the door to wait it opening. All seats filled up at the first couple hours.

I've been to my fair share of japanese restaurants, but this one takes the cakes. Let's first talk about taste , I've made better japanese curry at home! The curry rice was in a bowl, so the rice was saturated in curry sauce, making it even worse to eat texture wise. In sydney, I've only seen this dish placed on a plate... secondly, value i don't mind paying for good food, but close to $20 for a tiny bowl of curry rice with 3 tiny pieces of fried chicken. Not my type of value. The service was ok but besides that, that's about it. I feel for the locals around here, they don't have a better option. Won't be coming back on my pitstops meals to and back from surfers.....

Saw the shop and was urged to try because of the nice interior vibes and it seemed busy so it was really enticing. Had to wait 20 minutes for a seat for myself. Service from all female servers was very sub par, but the one male server was very nice. Food is slightly pricey but justified by the taste and quality. The spider sushi roll and karaage chicken were nice! Would give 5 stars but the service from the girls was honestly quite disappointing tonight unfortunately.

Drinks are another strong point. The Chai Latte is warm and spiced without being overly sweet. The coffee is smooth and consistently good—clearly a focus for the team. And the ginger juice is a winner if you’re after something refreshing with a bit of a kick. Best of all, everything is great value. Big portions, top ingredients, and prices that won’t make you flinch. Service is fast, friendly and down-to-earth. Final verdict? Social Grounds does all the café basics right—and then some. This cafe was a breath of fresh air! It was up vibe and busy but the staff were warm and welcoming, with time for a chat. The Brisket Benedict was sublime, so many flavours bursting through my tastebuds all at once! The coffee is the best I have had in Port Macquarie and quite frankly, I cannot wait to return to this absolute gem! 10/10…

Social Grounds is one of those special places you stumble upon and can't wait to tell people about. The moment you walk in, you just get this amazing feeling. It’s got such a beautiful, contemporary setup with tons of character – it's more than just a cafe, it's a whole vibe. The staff are genuinely lovely and make you feel so welcome, and the coffee is absolutely top-notch. It's worth stopping for the coffee alone. For anyone visiting, it's super convenient. If you're staying at the Port Macquarie Backpackers Hostel, it's a decent little walk down the main street. You'll find it right opposite the well-known growers market, which is a great landmark. I'll be adding some photos I took to show you just how great the place looks. Cannot recommend this place enough. It's a must-visit whether you're a local or just passing through!

Went there this morning and it was amazing. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service. We were greeted with a smile and the experience only got better from there. If you're looking for a place to have great food and the next coffee in town, Social Grounds is the place to go.

Popped in for a quick breakfast treat - opted for the awesome French toast with Maple, Bacon, Berries and Marscapone - has a covered outdoor courtyard area as well as a few tables in door - also has facilities in the courtyard area - nice place - lovely meal - had heard that the Cafe had new owners and wanted to check it out. Perhaps a little more customer interaction as a suggestion but I will be back - Good service & building customer relationships will attribute to much success in this town.

Not only was the service SO good, but the coffee and food was incredible! I was very impressed with how delicious and creative the vegan hash was and would absolutely go out of my way to have it again.

Fantastic check in on the mid north coast. Nathan pouring the flight of beers was friendly and knowledgeable. Smouldering fire added to the atmosphere. Craft beer and local wines hit the spot. Great variety. Only suggestion is to have more available for takeaway in can form as our fav was missing. Will return when next on a road trip.

Stopped in on a sunny Friday arvo, just after opening. Was a great find. Superb beers! (Golden Goose XPA was my fave). Takeaways available. Priced well, knowledgable staff. Will be back here again, that’s for sure. Highly recommend The Black Duck!! Was it good? Ducking Oath it was.

Had a family dinner here today. I enjoyed a Vanilla Chocolate Porter, the missus had the Ginger beer. Very impressed with these 2 beverages. The menu had chicken burgers cooked in the smoker. The pineapple was the standout on the burger. If you are in the area, this is a great venue to come too.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. We visited Black Duck Brewery on a Friday night while on holiday thru Port Macquarie. The beers were tasty and on this Friday night they had handmade pizza and a top notch local young artist performing live (I believe this is a regular occurrence for Friday nights). We had a great time here and I highly recommend it for any travellers passing through.

Great atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Fantastic selection of beer and a very cosy, intimate music venue. Meg Washington & Brendan Maclean made it a superb evening.

Fantastic little setup here with the bar out the front of the warehouse. You can see both the brewery and the bush across the road from where you sit. There are two massive friendly dogs to keep you entertained as well. A little out of the way at the edge of the industrial estate, but very quiet and the staff are as friendly as they come. I'd recommend the Gingerhole Alcoholic Ginger Beer. Got myself a carton to take home for just $60!

Super charming place to watch the sun go down and plenty of seating to get that water view. The coffee is delicious here and I'm super fussy, every bit of food that I've had especially the fish tacos have always been on the money. Extremely friendly staff and if you turn up later you can order your coffee and food down the bottom bar area and they give you a buzzer.. very simple, fast, efficient business. Extremely clean toilets and very mod. This would be one number one taking my father here and family and friends. The view is hard to pass, especially When you pick the wind going away from the building.

Only place I’ve gone where you can get a cocktail in a coconut 🍹+🥥!!! Both cocktails were in a world of their own, and as a seasonal cocktailer… well.. simply sublime‼️ Special commendations to the handsome bearded bartender who whipped up a special apple and elderberry drink, what a king 👑🍎!!

Great food which is usually expected for a Flowers establishment. The coffees, food and alcohol always great, but the atmosphere and location is the real winner of the venue. Regardless if you go for a breakfast, Sunday arvo chill session or evening with acoustic musicians, the water views are beautiful.

Great little lunch spot. We met before a farm stay out of Port. Great island style atmosphere; very friendly staff. Food was quick to be delivered and so so delicious. Had the Nasi Goreng and it hit the spot after the drive from Sydney.

(3.5 stars) When the restaurant at Rydges Port Macquarie couldn’t make a barista coffee before 7am (despite claiming they open at 6.30am) we ventured just beyond the property to Little Shack. With the feel of an island bar, this indoor-outdoor space wraps itself around a salt and wind tolerant Norfolk Island pine (rather than a coconut palm). Windbreaks make it winter-friendly, with festooned fairy lights beating the early morning gloom. Facing onto the Port Hasting River, it comes into full sun later in the day. Barista-made Will & Co coffees ($5.50/regular) were no problem here. The chilli mushroom burrito ($18) revolves around tasty sautéed buttered mushrooms. There’s also creamy scrambled eggs, a hash brown for body, and smoked tomato chutney for some tang, plus a pot of guacamole I didn’t touch. While you do have to ask rather than see gluten-free options marked on the menu, my dining companion felt catered to with bacon and egg tacos ($17.50/2). Loaded with scrambled eggs, Bangalow bacon and charred chorizo, and lashed with chipotle aioli, they’re a decent protein hit. It was only let down (like my own breakfast) by oxidised pots of pre-prepared guacamole.

The current 4.3 rating is an utter injustice. A beautiful little restaurant with a gorgeous view. We’ve never seen so many dolphins jumping so high over the waves! The food was great! We had the smashed avo and the breakfast taco which had so much flavour and were a mark above most cafe breakfasts. The green goddess smoothie was deliciously coconut mango-y and the hot choccy was like a little milky hug. It has a great atmosphere with the decorations and soft indie music. I absolutely will come back and recommend wholeheartedly!

There's lots to like about this bar. Extensive selection of wine, beer, cocktails and more including a couple of great local beers on tap. And the atmosphere was excellent. Service was friendly but slow, which is fine when you're in a group. Staff probably just need more experience. Pizza topping was tasty but the base was cardboardy. Definitely worth a visit. And dog friendly outside.

Had the most amazing girls night out at Bar Florian! Excellent service from the team—especially Sky, her customer service is fantastic. She created such a warm and welcoming environment, and her ability to develop repport with her patrons really made the night stand out.

Very disappointing. The menu consists of overpriced entrees, the pizza menu has 8 options and when they come out they are very small, not much bang for your buck. If you’re going to have a few options and small food with high prices you would make sure that you perfect your craft to make up for those factors, right? Apparently not. Now I’m no connoisseur or a picky eater, but it looked and tasted exactly like a McCains store bought pizza and it had a mayo sort of sauce on top that did not go with the rest of the toppings. Atmosphere was pretty nice and staff were friendly. I am from a large, multicultural city so I am used to great Italian food, so I will acknowledge that my expectations are probably higher than most and when I attended the restaurant it was fairly busy, which may cut a little slack for it not tasting great, but c’mon. It was probably the worst pizza I have had in a while.

Fantastic small bar located in the heart of port Mac, offering a great selection of cocktails, beers and wines, with awesome food, bookings are essential. Onsite bathrooms, street parking, fairly priced, service on my particular visit was a little tight as I believe they maybe have been a little short staffed, other then that i would definitely recommend visiting bar Florian. Would recommend

Had a sensational evening! Atmosphere, vibe, food, cocktails, and super friendly attentive staff ✔️✔️✔️....really could not fault this place. We had the bread and dipping oil and a pizza to share. Cocktails pictured are the Toblerone and mint slice, both superb. Definitely will be going back...especially for the extensive cocktail menu ~ the hardest part was choosing what to drink 🍸 👌👌👌

One of the few places open late on a Friday night! It does get busy, given that it is one of the few places open till late, but we didn't have to wait at all for a table to fall vacant. They've got indoor and outdoor seating. It's a nice cosy place with music playing in the background and the staff are friendly too! We ended up ordering two pizzas and a Toblerone and pina colada cocktail. For the price you pay for the pizzas, they are pretty average, but have a lot of cheese. The cocktails on the other hand have a decent amount of alcohol in them. Overall, the cocktails are good. And if they add a little more flavour to their pizzas, then I wouldn't mind paying that price on a Friday night. Hit a like, if this review was helpful 👍

Called in for a drink and also had the Antipasto Piccolo, it was very generous with a large wedge of the triple cream brie alot of various types of olives some prosciutto and another of bread. The bread was supposed to have been toasted but was only just warmed and not what I would call ciabatta, but the cheese made up for it, it's was beautiful. Overall I rate this very good. Back again 9 months later and we shared an antipasto platter and it was great and very generous we love the food here and when got up to go they put our leftovers in a takeaway container which looked fantastic

Hello Sailor is located in a beautiful spot on the marina. I was seated next to the water, which had a great view of the boat’s/yachts and the fish swimming next to the pier. The staff was amazing and made us feel at home. This place specialises in finger food, so we had a sample of a few dishes. We had the buffalo wings which where fantastic. We also had the swordfish which was ok, but was a little too fishy. We also had the crab empanadas which where delicious. The drinks where also amazing. The better value for money is to get the jug cocktails. They where also delicious. Highly recommended.

During our visit to Port Macquarie we visited this place for dinner. Food and drinks 10/10 Hospitality 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Friendly Staff 10/10 Must try shredded beef bun. We ordered one chicken and one beef buns with some chicken wings and we loved the shredded beef bun in all of them. We couldn’t get to try cocktails . May be next time. But we did order 3 different beers on tap🚰 Live band music was Amazing here🤩 We loved it. Over all it was a great night and experience. Thanks Team Hello Sailor for your hospitality. This place is the X Factor- most importantly their fun, ever so good looking and engaging staff, the venue has a great look and feel inside and out, visually appealing smoky or bubble pop- cocktails and let’s not forget the curry homus! That stuff is a show stopper

The best food and most incredible cocktails at a very, very , very reasonable price- in Sydney I would have paid in excess of $500 and my bill was $118 (heaps of great food, 2 proseccos and 2 great cocktailsl)

Had an excellent experience here! The food was delicious and really well priced for the quality you get – great value without compromising on flavour or presentation. The cocktail menu was a standout, with creative mixes that were balanced and made with care (definitely worth coming back just for those). What really made the night though was the staff – friendly, attentive and welcoming without being overbearing. They made sure everything ran smoothly and created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. Overall, it’s one of those spots where you feel like you’re getting top-tier service and drinks at a fair price. Had thee most banger of a Breakfast here this morning. I had the Breaky Wrap with bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans and tomato relish which was flavourful and filling, that definitely hit the spot. I also got hash browns on the side and they were cooked to perfection (chefs kiss) crispy and hot. My partner got the Bacon & Egg Burger, I blinked and it disappeared, thats how good it was. He said it was good sized, egg still runny and the tomato relish went really well with it. A plus for me was that there was Campos coffee beans and I hadn’t had a good coffee in a few days so I really appreciated that coffee its was heaven in a cup. Thank you so much to Dexter & Cory (correct me if I got those names wrong) for the lovely service this morning, and a special thanks to Dex for giving us some touristy things to do while we were in Port Macquarie, then on our way back half an hour or so later he gave us wave as we drove past. Amazing service here, great food and drinks, fast and efficient would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Port Mac Thank you again, from another cafe staff member to another.

Coffee is exceptional in this cafe. Possibly the best coffee in Port Macquarie. Service was excellent too with very friendly staff members. There’s not too much in the menu to choose from, especially if you only want a little snack. In the end we ordered toast with scrambled egg ($12). Overall a nice place and will definitely return for their coffee.

We have dined there several times on the way to Sydney and the food and service were top notch. However on the way back to Brisbane (36/9/25) The service took half an hour and the scrambled eggs tasted like plastic. The toasted sandwich( no croissants available) , could I have gotten a better one at a roadside diner? Yes! Very dissatisfied,

Nice cafe located just beside the beach. Their food was quite nice with our favourite being the waffles! Their food is quite aesthetic like the French toast and Mediterranean toast too but tasted average. Would visit again just for casual brunch in the area as it was just below our apartment.

Breakfast was a mixed experience, nice coffee but simply the worst big breakfast we've ever eaten. It was cold, the scrambled eggs were dry and tasted like powdered eggs and the mushrooms seemed to be have been thru a dehydrator. Bacon (also cold) was a short cut and quite tasteless - we did enjoy the bread

Best Coffee I'd had all week! ☕️ Staff was friendly and attentive, especially for being first thing in the morning. Customers looked after in a timely manner, and the wait time was to be expected for a Brekky rush. Decided to give this place a try even with unsatisfied customer reviews and was glad we did. Have no complaints with Staff or Service we received and will definitely be back when we're in town again.

Had coffee here with a friend - friendly and quick service, coffee's good. Little bit of street noise, but overall still worth a visit.

Food was good however after 40 minutes of waiting for it we went and checked and were advised it would be another 5-10 minutes but had to wait another 20 minutes. Not good enough to have to wait an hour for a quick meal.

Absolutely stunning experience at The Little Fish Restaurant! The French cuisine here is nothing short of five-star 🥂every dish was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. We ordered the three-course meals and loved every single bite, from the entrée to dessert. The atmosphere is equally impressive – such a lovely place for a romantic date or a special celebration. The service was warm and professional, making the whole experience even better. We will definitely be back next time we're in Port Macquarie!💯

We had a great time for lunch on Saturday at Little Fish! The sun came out just for us and we had a table with a view of the vineyard! We had the special cocktail which had rose and orange slice and was just divine under the sun while we decided on our menu (so many delicious choices!) My mother has this delicious honey goats cheese starter in puff pastry with a delicious salad and I couldn’t help but try the mussels in garlic with bread crumbs that were big in size and just made me feel so happy. We both had the duck leg for main with lovely creamy mash, carrots and broccolini and cabbage that had been soaked and tasted amazing with juniper berry. The mixture with fig in the sauce was just divine! And of course we shared a dessert that was a chocolate cheesecake with a berry and custard compote and vanilla bean whipped cream! If that is the last dessert I ever have in my lifetime… well let’s just say my life is complete! Thank you again for having us!

What a great find, !!!! I’m in love 😍 HIGHLY RECOMMEND Entree - Lima Beans in the most amazing sauce, topped with feta & pickled onion , this combination was absolutely sensational! I had the Vegetarian Moussaka and my mother had the lamb moussaka , you can taste the love in these dishes!!! The portions sizes were perfect. Will definitely be back again, Cannot wait to try more next time I pass through Port Macquarie again soon.

We really enjoy this restaurant and usually come once or twice a year when we visit Port Macquarie. However this time there were a couple of things that weren’t as good as the last time we visited. I ordered prawns with chorizo and the plate where it was served didn’t have any space to put the shells. A side bowl would have been perfect. My husband had the Bouillabaisse and had to ask for a spoon twice. Also no side bowl for the fish shells. The soup had a lovely flavour but we thought the amount of fennel was too much. Overall another lovely meal but not as good as we’d been used in the past.

Late post but still posting my review. We moved to Port around April and we've only been trying out some place. Some are good and some aren't. This one is good! Very good place to get a meal. The beef cheek is to Die for as well as the French Onion Soup, had a special pasta that day as well which was really good! Service wise, it's one of the most pleasant experience I had in a restaurant here in Port Macquarie. Went there a bit earlier but I reckon it can packed full of people, well of course not until the restrictions are lifted.

Delicious food. There was a set menu but my dairy free needs were perfectly catered for. Delightful jazz style live music playing as well that was not too loud and very enjoyable. Suggest getting up and having a little walk around as the winery and the big trees on site are gorgeous too. You feel like your miles away from port macquarie but its so close. Our waitress was so friendly and made our night an absolute pleasure. Plenty of dessert options although we were both so full. Even though the place was quite busy we were attended to efficiently and the food was fresh. Thanks heaps Little Fish. Will be back.

I had a lovely early dinner at Twotriplefour by Bills. I was a walk in with no reservation and was quickly greeted and sat at a table by the exceptional server. Service was fabulous, my server quickly had my drinks, including a lovely crisp prosecco, at the table. I greatly enjoyed the Beef Tartare. It had a fabulous texture with hazelnuts and gooey egg yolk. The different tastes were complex and complimentary with the warmth of the horseradish cream and the freshness of the pickled onions. My baby cos salad was a deconstructed caesar salad with the crunchy parmesian crisps and bacon emulation. While I get what they were trying to do, it was a bit unwieldy with the whole baby cos. Taste was great though. Overall a lovely night.

Had a lovely dinner at two triple four. Amazing entrees, we had the chicken liver parfait, the baked triple Brie, house bread and oysters. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and service was excellent.

Awesome food and fabulous service. Twotriplefour really does serve the best food in Port Macquarie. We chose 1 large and then several share plates which were all delicious. The cauliflower bhaji, the scotch eggs, the meatballs are all to die for.

We had our 30th wedding anniversary dinner here. We had the Chef’s tasting selection which was amazing 👍🏼😊 - we particularly loved the chicken liver parfait, the grilled halloumi and the lamb rump navarin 😋. The staff were wonderful and it’s a beautiful space.

I had high expectations for this restaurant and they were far exceeded. We did tastings at the cellar door first (so good I departed with 6 bottles), and this restaurant really added to my already great day. The Scotch eggs were expertly cooked and still running on the inside and juicy, their house made tomato sauce was a real hit. The duck liver parfait with pear puree and pickled pear was scrumptious. We also had the Jewish pot pie which was delicious (put the peas into the pot to soak up the gravy), but the real highlight was the warm seasonal vegetables. I loved the honey mustard Vinaigrette, the potatoes, Dutch carrots and pumpkin are so comforting. I can't remember having a better salad in a long time... Come and try this amazing farm to table restaurant.

I'm lamenting when this place gets a hat or two in a year and I'm having to join a wait-list instead of wandering right in for lunch. Every dish was spot on, portion sizes of share plates were a plus, service was great, I hope it's here to stay, just the sort of place Port needs more of - and glad its now in the center of town. Well done. Edit: almost a year later and twotriplefour still our favourite in town. The sausage / corn is a highlight and should be seen as a signature alongside the scotched egg.

Excellent customer service! Amazing girls who take the order and serve. A man sitting in front of me was nervous as he dropped his drink. They gave him another one, on the house. And the girl serving him took so much time to talk to him and make him feel better. Food was good but nothing exceptional in what I tried in vegetarian options. Garlic bread was nice and fresh and pasta was okay. Mocktail was amazing! I will visit again if in town for the scenic view from the balcony and great service!

The food was very good. The steak was well cooked and the lobster was nice too. I can't say the food was excellent but for that price you can't make any complains. Located in a charming waterfront location which is a big plus.

Came here for a pre-birthday dinner, both ordered ribs & was such a tasty meal! Also loved the Monty bread. Service was decent, nothing to rave about. Loved the location, lovely being right on the water. Would come back if in the area again 😊

4 of us dined with The Grill this past Tuesday. Welcomed by a lovely team, service was excellent throughout our dining experience. Lobster mornay was very very tender. No complaints made. 3 of us had a range of steaks, each cooked to our own liking. All sides were great. Could have been a bit more bernaise I feel on the surf and turf but was still delish. Will definitely be dining again.

I Think I Just Met My Soulmate (And It’s a Steak) Okay. So. I went to The Grill Port Mac and ordered food like a functioning adult (yay me). And let me just say—THE STEAK. Oh my gosh. That thing could solve world peace. Like, if steak could talk, this one would be whispering sweet nothings in my ear and I’d be blushing. The gravy? Chef’s kiss. It wasn’t just gravy. It was a warm, emotional experience. Like if a hug had flavor. The chips? Golden, crispy, potato-y rectangles of joy. Basically edible happiness. Now the salad… okay, let’s talk. It was fine. Like, not bad bad. But definitely gave “I’m only here because someone made me come.” I didn’t even really try it because, respectfully, the steak was stealing the show and I wasn’t about to ruin that energy. The service was chill and consistent. Like, they weren’t overly intense but also didn’t abandon me like my New Year’s resolutions. Overall? Banging meal. Slightly haunted salad. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I name my future dog after this steak? Maybe.

We ate on the balcony and were very happy with the evening. The food was excellent, although two lamb shanks on a plate is too much. Overall the service was a little slow but we would certainly eat there again

Cute little cafe with lovely staff, great atmosphere and delicious food. Enjoyed sitting in the little sun trap for brunch. I had the poached eggs with mediterranian salsa (tomato and avacado), whilst my fella had the mushroom omelette. Both were scrumptious 🤭

Its a nice little place tucked away on the street, perfect for lunch and dinner. The food was tasted really good and the service was next level. From taking the order at the table to grating cheese on our meals the experience was well worth the money.

Genuinely the best Carbonara I’ve ever had! The service is is top notch and the food is just incredible, they really know what they’re doing! I can completely understand why it’s so often booked out as their cuisine exceeds the quality of most Italian places in large cities. Next chance I get I’ll definitely be back.

Had great expectations for this restaurant but unfortunately that wasnt our experience. We happened to book in on a Thursday night which is pasta night (where every second pasta dish ordered is $10). The place was very busy so we didn't think much of it when our food wasn't served quickly. However, I then realised that tables who ordered much later than us had their entrees, then their mains, at which point, we had neither. I asked the waitress about this, to which her response is that they are very busy, so I said that i understood that but it didn't explain why other tables after us received their food first. Anyhow, she said she would check. But no one came back for another 15 mins, so I hailed down another waitress to ask a similar question. She must've passed on the message, because the original waitress then reappeared... Not with an explanation or update, but to retake our orders. From scratch. Without a single word of apology. This was about an hour in sitting at the table with only our drinks. We eventually received our food. Still no apologies. Food was decent and tasty. But by then we were a bit over it unfortunately. The table next to us (who arrived later than us but finished two courses before we even received any of our food) said to us, as they left, that we should ask for compensation. But since we still ate the food, we didn't make a fuss. We suspected that the waitress didn't even dare to tell the manager or owner about what happened. The final blow came at the check out when the totals didn't add up. We queried it and it turns out they omitted to charge two of the pastas at the special $10. On pasta night when it was busy?! They fixed the error but again, no apologies or anything whatsoever. We may have just been unlucky, but if you visit on pasta night, be prepared to wait, and perhaps pay attention to the bill!

DO NOT COME HERE IF BUSY!,Came to this restaurant after seeing it on google, words cannot describe this place. We made a reservation for 6.30 and were seated by 6.20. Thus far everything was normal, we ordered food and sat there waiting, however after 20min the food had not arrived and after 30min tables who ordered their food after us started to recieve theirs. Seeing this we asked the waiter who took our order if she knew what was happening with our food. She told us she'd check with the kitchen. 30min later we hadn't seen the waiter again and so asked one of her colleagues the same question. 10min later the waiter who took our order came up and asked for our order again, as if we had just been seated and not already been waiting for an hour. When the food finally arrived all hope of salvaging a bad experience dissapeared, the spagehtti bolognese was incredibly watery and the rest of the pasta was nothing worth noting. As we paid the bill the same lady who took our original order served us, and over charged us by $35, upon further inquiry she seemed confident she had not made a mistake only to discover she had not applied the Pasta Night deal that the entire restaurant of customers was using (incredibly full upstairs and downstairs). After all of this commotion, there were no apologies made. 3 hours of my life I will never get back

Highly recommend if you want delicious meals. Thursday nights provide awesome value for money with special deals. I can honestly say that I have never had so much delicious seafood in a Spaghetti Marinara before!! Yummmmmmy, and great friendly service from staff. If you are in Port Macquarie and feel like Italian for dinner, Cafe 66 is the place to go ❤

The lovely waitress recommended my wife and I tried the Smokey Shakshuka Breakfast special. 10/10 - delicious! Amazing views and more importantly the service of staff was 10/10. Compliments to the chef!

We had a lovely lunch at Rivermark Cafe. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. I would highly recommend it to family and friends, or anyone visiting Port Macquarie looking for a delicious meal with water views.

Such a high level of care and customer service, staff were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Food came out so quickly, and all of our food was so fresh and delicious. Very impressed by the haloumi salad that I scoffed and scraped the bowl of! Thank you for such a lovely experience in such a beautiful location.

Food great. Staff attentive. Atmosphere ok just have to put up with planes landing at near by airport. Not an overly busy airport so not that much of an issue. Highly recommend.

A nice cafe on the marina/near the water. Nice to sit outside near the water in the fresh air. Can also sit inside. Staff are very nice and accommodating but food was a bit disappointing. Big breakfast only served with 1 x slice of toast and had to pay extra for a hash brown. Smashed avo n eggs on sourdough toast only served with one small poached egg. Smashed avocado on the 1 x slice of toast was very bland and it made the toast very soggy. Coffee however was nice tasting n strong (like strong coffee).

A delicious lunch sat by the marina. Service was prompt and the food just perfect. My grilled chook breast burger melted in my mouth. The Prawn mornay crepe was delicious too.

We had breakfast at Seasalt on a recommendation. Sorry but we were not impressed. My poached eggs, bacon and mushrooms was a let down. Lots of undercooked bacon, eggs were cooked but cold along with the mushrooms. 🍄‍🟫 My wife’s mug of cappuccino was slopped into the saucer. Disappointing and overpriced. We had a much more pleasant experience at a little Cafe on Gordon Street called Social Grounds. Great food and service and reasonably priced 👍 I will post a couple of pictures from Social Grounds… I have no interest whatsoever in promoting Social Grounds Cafe. Im not a resident of Port Macquarie. I merely made an unbiased comparison based on my experience. Im sorry you reacted in such a negative way, constructive criticism never hurts.

I don't like to do a negative review as we usually enjoy our meals here and the lady who served us was such a lovely lady who has served us many times in the past, however, we both ordered the mahi mahi as this is normally a very nice tasting fish that we have had it at other restaurants. Apart from being a very tiny serve, it was drastically over-cooked and as dry as a piece of leather. We had waited a long time to get it, so wasn't going to send it back and wait even longer, so we ate it anyway. The waitress apologised and offered us a sweet to share, which we chose a citrus tart. We ended up not getting what we selected even though there were plenty there and we were served the "cake of the day" for some reason, which was a very ordinary tasting cheese cake. Sorry for the poor review, but we were looking forward to a lovely lunch for our anniversary and were totally disappointed.

Gorgeous little cafe over the water. Visited here twice during our recent stay in Port Macquarie. Great coffee and the place seems to be a favourite with locals. It does get quite busy, so definitely make a booking if wanting a table near the water.

My husband an I tried seasalt for the first time an probably the last after the breakfast we had our poached eggs were hard and the Turkish bread overcooked so rock hard you could barely get a knife thru it the coffees were great the outdoor area perfect but the food needs more attention. The waiters were friendly but the others behind the counter wouldn't even smile or ask what was needed after standing at the counter for 10 minutes.

Disappointed with the Corn and Zucchini Fritter which had been pre-made and cooked then reheated. The poached egg was perfect. The cake fridge has a lovely selection. The location of the Cafe is lovely and dog friendly.

Amazing food! This is our go-to fish and chip shop when visiting Port Macquarie. The chips are crunchy and we love that they also sell gravy. My son isn't a seafood fan so he had a schnitzel and gravy roll. The batter on the crab sticks is thin and delicious. We got takeaway one night and nighted in a week later. We found the meal deals great value for money.

Went here based on reviews. Unfortunately, I would not recommend it. We went just prior to closing on a saturday night (around 7pm, maybe it's different when you go there earlier in the day) and seemed to get all the leftover bits of calamari. Most disappointedly, the grilled fish was grilled in a toaster oven and tasted terrible. Good chips but overall not worth it..

I was very disappointed when I got the food home I was there after 12 pm today 22 October 2025. I ordered basa grilled fish and I asked for some garlic and butter to go with it I never got it. I ate a plain peace of fish with no flavour and I ordered gluten free as well. I should of got what I paied for. I won't come back to off the hook again as I was so disappointed

We love coming here for morning tea on Saturdays. The view is sensational, and the coffee is good alongside the banana bread! It's a busy location but we always manage to snag a seat. Plenty of parking around the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The chicken pide was cooked to perfection, crispy & thin. The salad and stuffed vine leaves were fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful and happy to explain the dishes. Thank you for a delicious lunch.

I had my dinner at this beautiful restaurant. It was my best experience in having Turkish food. I have tried many Turkish restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, but the quality of the food and service is unbelievable. I found out recently the restaurant is under new management. Abdul (manager and master chef) is a professional and friendly manager who knows his job perfectly. All the stuff on the floor under his management are doing fantastic work 👏 👌 👍 Wishing all the best to Abdul and his team. Definitely, I will come back and strongly recommend 👌

This was an excellent meal and well priced. The waitress was EXCEPTIONAL, I think her name was Georgia. Definitely recommend this place for a good feed and delightful service. There were 5 of us and we had the mixed grill plate and mixed kebab. That was enough for us all. Thank you we will come again.

Fantastic dining experience. Food and staff are all amazing. This is the first time a chef has ever come out of the kitchen to review my choices after learning I have coeliac disease. Seperate fryer, very knowledgeable and aware of cross contamination issues. Will definitely be returning.

Went there on 02/01, table booked for 4 (2 adults and 2 Children). Place looked a bit chaotic, tired staff (probably overworked). Ordered Falafel (comes with a gravy dipped, Chi Kofta, large serving of all dips and Turkish bread, mixed plate (adana, chicken and lamb), two apple tea with a total of $130 approx. we tasted every dish and within 5 minutes we were out as nothing was edible and bland with no flavours whatsoever. Strange, no staff cared when we left the place to check if everything was OK. They did not even ask if we got our apple tea - we did not bother to even check. We grabbed ice cream from blue cow and went walking. Disappointing experience overall.

Of our four day road trip up and down the coast, this was the worst food by a mile. Waitress didn’t wipe down our table that had water all on it, we had to ask. The pumpkin and lentil pie I had was lukewarm at best, the salad was dry lettuce with a few beans on the side, my friends meal wasn’t much better. We were so tired we just wanted to eat and go to sleep or I would have complained but definitely would never be back!

Stopped in as we were staying a night at the hotel. We paid $180 for two steaks, a kids meal, some sourdough and a beer. The first $55 scotch fillet that came out was grey, overcooked (meant to be medium rare and it was well done) and was heavy on the gristle. It was served with a dozen undressed wilted roquette leaves and a ‘potato rosti’ which was inedible due to a strong eggy flavour and being cold in the middle. The sourdough was similar to a coles or Woolworths ‘sourdough’ and the end bit was half stale. The $59 eye fillet was undercooked, but was passable, again served with wilted roquette leaves and the rosti. We sent the scotch fillet back, the staff were quite accommodating and apologetic. We then sat for 20 minutes waiting for a replacement steak, by the time it came out even my 3 year old was finished eating. Again the steak was grey, very gristly and overcooked, somehow they found even more wilted roquette to serve with it this time, and it had the wrong sauce. All in all, very disappointing experience. For $55 for a scotch fillet it wasn’t even passable for an RSL buffet. Someone needs to buy the cook a meat thermometer and practice cooking some steaks as they obviously can’t cook steak to touch, and they need to work on presentation and purchasing some fresh garnish. Do not get sucked in to the convenience of eating here if you are staying at the hotel, overpriced, and sub par quality.

★★☆☆☆ Disappointing Overall, but Great Cocktails and Garlic Bread We were really looking forward to our meal at The Boathouse, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The fish tacos were quite hard and over-fried, which we couldn’t eat and the tortillas seemed dry or possibly stale. The ceviche also missed the mark — it felt more like a salad with raw seafood, tinned corn, and cold tomatoes rather than a proper, citrus-cured ceviche. That said, the garlic bread was tasty, and the cocktails were definitely the highlight of the meal. With such a lovely setting, we were hoping for a bit more consistency in the food quality.

We went last night for our wedding anniversary. My husband had the scotch fillet. It was perfectly cooked, tender and he loved it. Comes with a complimentary side of potato which is unusual these days. I had the wild mushroom risotto. The best risotto I have ever eaten. Loads of flavour, perfect texture and perfect portion size. We shared a cheesecake for dessert which was also delicious. Awesome and memorable dinner. Very good value for money.

Entering the hotel gave us confidence the food would be ok. After asking for a table/place to order food and consume it, we were not too sure.... The hostess was not too helpful and just asked us to find a spot out there. Most of the tables were dirty, stained with food, spilled drinks. The floor was sticky. There were dirty dishes around. Even though there were almost no customers, we struggled to find a table that would be clean. Ordering food was not easy. The staff was not sure if the kitchen can cook what we ordered. Fortunately, we received what we ordered in no time. Overall, a sub-par pub experience

We had a very good dinner here on Friday evening. The restaurant was almost full but they managed to fit us in. The view from the restaurant is pretty good as you overlook the marina. The food we had was quite outstanding. Very unexpectedly so. The salt n pepper squid was fantastic. 5/5 The pork cutlet was so good. Never bothered ordering pork cutlet before but so so glad I did as it was freakin awesome. 5/5 My wife had the steak which was a solid 5/5. Medium rare with a slight char. The jus was amazing. 5/5 My daughter’s kid’s burger was actually really good too. Large enough portion for an adult. Very good burger and good chips too. 4/5 My crème brûlée was ridiculously good. Wow. 5/5 Great staff and great food in a great place. Nicely done.

This place is next level for expertise and customer service. We've tried a range of beans for our home espresso but nothing beats Peak Premium Blend for quality. I recently found myself at Peak Coffee when my car broke down and needed repairs, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to wait! Ainsley Harrison, the director of coffee, was there, and he was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable about their products. The coffee was amazing, and I also enjoyed some tea while I sat, journaled, and got work done on my iPad. Travelling north, we were looking for a good coffee and Peak Coffee came up on our search. We wandered off the highway for a brief sojourn in what we considered a wildcard, only to stumble into the best coffee experience we've had for years! Add to the coffee country hospitality, good food and a great ambience, and suddenly this place at Port Macquarie is a must do destination. Few people know how to make the bean dance. These guys do.

Actually decent coffee but you’ll have to wait a while, they need to lift their game with efficiency processes. The value for money in a standard coffee cup does not warrant the prices on the menu.

Great coffee and bakery products but you'll have to wait a while for service as both times a team member behind the counter went absent with no one evidently knowing where the backup was, it is quite slack of the team member to delay customers. The croissants are served fresh as both days the croissants did not flake off and we're oft to bite into, please ensure these are served fresh daily.

Delicious sausage rolls and danishes. Lots of interesting and unique danish flavours. The donuts were quite good too.

Customer service was good. It wasn't as busy when we arrived and there wasn't much vibe/buzz to the place as it was located somewhere at a back of a shopping centre. There was so many things on the shop floor and looks a bit untidy, maybe they were closing when we arrived. There wasn't much option either considering to the other savory/dessert place I've seen. Although what we ate looks yummy & tasty - we got donuts, caramel cheesecake, almond croissant and frange tarts. Would we go back? Maybe, if there was more options and if there was tables (no tables at the time due to covid). Would be great if they had a shop near the water too 😉

10/10 food and service! We had the arancini balls, portebello mushroom (sooo much flavour) and calamari to start between 3 people, plenty to go around. Pizzas were amazing! One of the nicest I’ve had.

Ordered four pizzas last night for pick-up (I'm sorry but I don't remember the names of them). Two were specials, one with chicken and one with scallops, and two were vegetable-based. We were very happy with the pizzas. Genuinely wood-fired, judging by the black edging 😁 Funnily, we ordered from here based on a recommendation from a stranger. I'm so glad I listened. Will definitely be going back again before we leave at the end of our vacation.

We had to try it out. Came in about 7pm place was jumping not a table free or seat. Now that tells me a lot. Staff super friendly and all good people. That tells me even more about this place. Power players move different and enzos team are power players. Big respect. Now these pizzas were special and made with Mother Natures freshest ingredients. No skimping on quality here. Ingredients plentiful but not over the top, wet where they should be wet cheesy where it should be cheesy and dough dry where it should be dry. Authentic wood fire. I can’t praise it enough. These premium discs are museum flavoured art! Roam for a morning coffee, Flynns beach in the day to get body slammed into the rocks from rogue waves and enzos for dinner to take the sting off the surf blows. Couldn't fault the place!! Squeezed us in without a booking which was nice, table was set promptly and staff were very friendly. Pizzas were ready in a timely manner and so very delicious very traditional style nice and thin Woodfired base, toppings were generous and of good quality. The creme brule was so yummy and creamy. Pics don't do the meals justice because my phone is trash.

As locals looking for a go-to I'm surprised we haven't been here earlier. We had Whitebait, Garlic Prawns, Verde Italia Wood-Fired Pizza and Sicilian Salad. What a revelation! Amazing pizza bases and clever pairings of toppings. Wines and beers are reasonably priced and curated selectively. We will visit again to enjoy the great service from Emilio and his great team! Visited Port Macquarie for an overnight stay. Did a Google review and Flare rated highly and it didn't disappoint. I had some hot and spicy chicken wings and 3/4 pork ribs. Really good flavour and nice natural smoke coming through. Generous portions. The lovely Argentinian lady was a perfect host and welcomed us with a warm smile. Thanks for a lovely meal.

Been meaning to come here since it opened and finally visited and will be back! I had the Flare tasting plate which included a sample of their dishes. All dishes were cooked to perfection and plenty of flavour. The bao was very tasty as well for the entree. The customer service was on point and it’s a family owned and run local business. Can’t wait to return!

Locals who were too lazy to book rocked in to Flare as first time customers! Unfortunately , booked out but with the delightful my suggestion of the wait staff we ordered takeaway and completed this experience with a take home bottle of cab sav from dan Murphy's. Wow! We had the sirloin special, jalapeno poppers and ,1/2 rack of ribs with fries and coleslaw. Fabulous feed , delicious flavours, excellent service ! We will definitely be back but we will book next time

This restaurant deserves more love! The staff are really nice and extreme fast. All food are served only a few minutes and the staff occasionally check with us if everything is good. The food is exceptional. Loaded fries with melted cheese adn gravy is so good. Both ribs and chicken wings are all “must-try”. The portion is larger than we expected 😂. Definitely will come back whenever I visit Port Macquarie!

Thoroughly enjoyed the fresh seafood on our pit stop through Port Macquarie. Medium prawns were quite large, and the oysters were perfect. Oysters come marked with the date of shucking. We took ours out to the park at Settlement Point for a view while we ate. Highly recommend!

While visiting family in Port, I popped in to get some fresh fish for my hubby, the gentleman serving me was intuitive enough to see I was frazzled, he suggested a tub of their seafood chowder might be just what i need. It was absolutely beautiful, just like home-made and at $7.50 per serve I think great value for money. Teamed with a slice of Burkhardts toasted sourdough it was perfect. The snapper was great too. Thank you.

Warm service. Great seafood. Try the siracha too! It's locally made. We grabbed some fresh local prawns and oysters and went up to the park near Blue Cow Gelato to enjoy the view.

Nice clean fish shop. Mostly fresh catch. Some frozen specialities, but only from Australia, New Zealand. Can sometime order the fish you want. Oysters are superb. Vendors are very friendly, nice and helpful. And now, few months later, I can only say they're getting better and better. And is getting better and better. Had a delightful choice of super fresh fish.

Excellent quality and great service. We wanted some fresh local seafood and Port Fresh exceeded our expectations. Oysters and Prawns were perfect. Squid was sensational. Service was knowledgeable and friendly. A much better quality, freshness and service than heading to a supermarket.

This was my 1st time to this venue but it definitely will not be my last. I can’t tell you when I’ve enjoyed a gin cocktail more, in fact, perfectly made. Next time I’ll be sampling the vodka cocktails and another cheese platter. Friendly service and lovely ambience, my new favourite place.

What a beautiful little hidden treasure in Port Macquarie. The service when selecting the gin flight was met with an informative passion and a wonderful experience. The service was above and beyond and the atmosphere was quaint. Definitely will be coming here every time I visit Port Macquarie, was too hard to not buy a bottle of everything.

This is a new up and coming business It is well set out and service is amazing. Grab a flight board of gin for $20 and get nuts and pretzels . Prices are very reasonable and gin is on point . They also have partnered with Moore beer so you can get local beer here as well. The atmosphere is fantastic and very clean

The atmosphere is quaint and inviting. The staff were engaging and knowledgeable. Each gin has its own unique flavour profile. The cocktails are addictive and I am now officially addicted to their cumquatcello. Cannot wait to go back and enjoy more of their delicious cocktails and creations. Highly recommend.

We had dinner at The Beach House in Port Macquarie, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were welcomed by lovely staff, and the location is perfect—right near the water with easy parking, which is always a win! The vibe was relaxed and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a meal. Now, the food—absolutely delicious! I had the Juniper Lamb (slow-cooked & packed with flavour), and Chris went for his go-to, the fish tacos—both were spot on. If you’re in Port Macquarie, The Beach House is definitely worth a visit. We’d go back in a heartbeat!

Has potential to be great, the view is lovely but lacked ambiance and friendly bar staff at the venue. The female attendant was wearing a scowling look when we asked if cocktails were $10…i don’t know what was so happy about a happy hour cocktail special where only three cocktails were $2 off the regular price @$18??!! Competitive prices are needed to bring in a decent crowd on a Friday night

The Beach House Hotel is one of my favourites! Ive been here for everything - from intimate catch-ups to larger group gatherings, including birthdays and work colleague get-togethers - its always spot on. The staff are super friendly and always helpful, making every visit feel special. The cocktails are delicious, the food is consistently great, and the views are just stunning. Dog-friendly outside, which is a huge plus, and Sunday's are best - chill vibes with live music and a relaxed crowd. Perfect spot to unwind, enjoy great service, and soak up the atmosphere with beautiful water views. Highly recommended for locals and visitors! 👌🏻

It was ok. We ordered entree and mains, but they brought them all out at the same time resulting in a table with no space and our drinks on the ground, we then had a cold mains meal because it was cold by the time we ate our entree. One person on our table ordered the steak, it came in a bowl and when he was cutting his meat the bowel tipped into his lap... it was odd because another person ordered the salad and that came on a flat plate , which the steak should have come on. The food was ok.

Like others have mentioned. This place could be so much better. It is a comfortable and attractive place with a pleasant outlook with a reasonable range on both the food and drinks menu. But the table service is nonexistent (sticky table), you have to order either via a QR code or at the bar, not even water in the table, you have to get your own. The hot food came out quickly but nobody came to check on the meals or ask if we wanted additional drinks or dessert. The lamb shank was tasty but came just with roast potatoes, no vegetables and you can’t order them as a side. A few changes and this place could be truly memorable. Sadly it is subpar

What a venue to enjoy a beautiful meal and a cold beverage. Stunning views and a walk to everything you need. Food was spectacular and waited no time once ordered to being served, the service was with a smile as well. The staff here seem to enjoy working which makes the experience much nicer. 10 out of 10 and will be back again and again. Thanks

Dropped in after a long day of driving. Chilled with a cold drink, soaking up the views. Great place to unwind. Menu looked good, didn't stay for food but the meals that were served looked sizeable.

Didn’t enjoy my stay as the noise from the TV in the room next door was excessively loud. Maybe the walls between rooms are a bit too thin which is a negative if you value your sleep. Location is convenient and staff were friendly upon checkin.

Highly, highly recommend Macquarie Waters! From our initial phone calls to the end of our stay, every interaction was fantastic, helpful and lovely (from the receptionist, to check-in and even through to the wonderful cleaners). The property is exceptionally maintained, well presented, clean, calm, comfortable, well appointed and enjoyable - and that’s not even mentioning the amazing view from our balcony and the wonderful rooftop spa area! The location is also ideal - great little coffee shops close by and pubs/eateries and shopping centres also just a quick walk away. Honestly, do yourself a favour and stay here if you are going to Port Macquarie!!

Stop 1 on a "Big Lap" tour of Australia and we could not have hoped for a better start. Rapid, efficient check in, accessible, secure parking, lovely spacious rooms and bathrooms, great central location walkable to most if not all facilities and sights. Very highly recommended, and we will be back. We were really pleased with our experience here.

Booked 2 bedroom 2 bathroom direct a month before. On checkin we had been placed in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment. They changed us because it was school holidays and they needed a shuffle things around. No alteration of price. Too bad so sad.

Macquarie Waters is a wonderful place to base yourself while you visit Port Macquarie. Donna and Peter made us feel very welcome, and the rooms were very spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable. The location is perfect, no need for a car, and the cafe/restaurant is an added bonus on site. You would be very hard pressed to find anything to complain about, we would highly recommend and will be back to stay again. Booking direct gave us the best pricing. Thanks again.

Room was clean and spacious with a nice view. It is very close to Bill's Fish House restaurant which I highly recommend. The manager was helpful and welcoming. Will be back.

Great hotel close to everything you need . Room needed a bit of a revamp , but I believe that is happening comfy bed and decent shower and that was really all I needed

Having been quite a fan of this bakery’s carrot cake, I bought the blueberry cake when none of the former was available. Expecting blueberries, I was sorely disappointed. It was dry and tasteless with (apparently) the only blueberries being on the top. What a shame. It used to sell generous cakes filled with goodness. This was not one of them.

The best breakfast pie. The pork rolls are delicious, especially thir bbq pork. Friendly service. ❤

Not really sure how this bakery has such good reviews… and I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews but feel pretty let down by the positive reviews of this bakery. My partner had a normal meat pie, took one bite, said it tasted sour and wouldn’t eat the rest. I had a spinach and cheese pastie and I could not identify the filling… was almost like it was filled with flour paste. No flavour. Maybe two or three tiny specs of green inside. The pastry crust was alright though.

Best Cheese and Bacon Sausage Roll I've had in ages and it only cost $4 buck. I'll be back.....

The Bakers Basket is brilliant! The hot food is to a very high standard and I can't recommend the sandwich bar items enough. I became addicted to the beef, tomato and onion pies during my short stay, but there is something there for every one. It may not have the slickest service but it is very personal and friendly which more than makes up for it. I wish them every success!

Yummy pies, I love the hot chilli pie, it was delicious, I would prefer spinach pastie with just spinach, but it was very crunchy.

I ordered 60 vietnamese rolls and 4 sliced loafs. Picked them up on australia day. Fresh and amazingly baked plus Served with a smile and from owner and her kids.

The place has great potential, but the staff didn’t support it during our visit. Our order of a strawberry milkshake came out as a vanilla shake, then after 20 minutes of waiting for my coffee (with very few customers to attend to) and watching the staff more interested in socialising with each other rather than getting orders out, I ended up having to ask for a refund for that.

The location is amazing but everything on the menu was a bit too expensive as they also had 20% surcharge for public holiday. Ordered a falafel melt with crispy chips. And was served chips from a packet which was not expected and the falafel melt was alright too. They also have very limited vegetarian options on the menu. The coffee here is amazing I'd here just for the coffee and some baked goodies maybe. The staff are nice and friendly.

Even though the location is fantastic, sitting on wooden park benches, getting food cooked from a kitchen in a caravan, served on cardboard plates, and still charging $19 for pitiful scrambled eggs & toast - screams of poor value! Plenty of much better choices of cafes, with far better value, in town.

My husband John and I came here with our son Chris during our holiday to Port Macquarie. We thought we'd try out Seafood Secret as it was new. The staff were friendly. We had the seafood platter. Unfortunately, our experience didn't match our expectations. The seafood platter took about 45 mins to arrive. It was a little overpriced for the portions. We also came when it was quiet so the wait was a little frustrating. The fish had some of the bones left in it. Some people don't mind this but not in battered fish. The chef should remove all small bones. The fish didn't have the best taste. John and I are in the seafood business so we have a handle on this. There was a nice range of crustacians but they were a little chewy (overdone). Overall, we give this place 2 stars because this is a new place and these may be some teething issues. Hopefully though there are improvements as it would be good to see this place grow and the staff were (as I said) friendly.

We had a fantastic dinner at Sea Secrets! I had the seared salmon with seafood linguine and my partner has the creamy barramundi with seafood linguine and both meals were exquisite and beautifully presented! The service was pleasant and efficient and prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Port Macquarie

New restaurant right by the side of the Hastings River in Port Macquarie. Baked Salmon was lovely. We visited again for breakfast before leaving and kids loved the pancakes, which were fluffy and with good presentation. Big Brekky serving size was enormous, plenty for 2...with perfectly cooked scrambled eggs.

We just had dinner at Sea Secrets tonight and it was made clear to us why it was a secret. After sitting down into a very hot, sticky and humid room and after about 15 minutes someone came to attend to us and take our order. After placing our order it took 45 minutes for our first round of drinks to arrive, then another half hour after that the meals started to come out. The cocktails were very average and the food wasn’t much better. The meals were all staggered and no one at the table shared a meal at the same time. We asked for a side sauce with one of the dishes and had to remind the staff twice to bring it out and we are still yet to receive it and are doubtful they’re bringing it to our home.

It’s a really nice place to visit in. Especially the amazing tasty food... I really enjoyed the food and environment there... Beautiful place to hang around .. would love to visit again.. 😊😊

Lovely views over the river...watching boats heading in and out the channel and pelicans flying past. Service great. Food was nice...pasta a bit dry but I let them know a splash of olive oil would have improved it. Prices reasonable...maybe a bit on the higher side but overall a very pleasant place for lunch.

Sea Secrets is the best kept secret in Port Macquarie! The prawn and slipper lobster linguine is the best pasta dish I've ever had. Great quality seafood at very reasonable prices.

The staff are always so lovely. Their Turkish coffee and baklava is so delicious I have to lick the coffee cup clean it is so good. We always go here when we are visiting from Queensland definitely worth the visit. Tried their cheesy garlic bread today they make all their bread fresh be hand which you get to watch. Their different dips are favourable which I tried last time the beetroot and classic hummus were my favourite.

Stumbled upon this unassuming place but glad we did. Food is so good! Well priced. Meat is tender and cooked to perfection. Kids really enjoyed our meal tonight. Sutlac was polsihed clean. Apple tea was pleasant.

Reyhana's Turkish food is absolutely delicious! The flavors are authentic, and the dishes are clearly made with care. However, the overall experience is a bit mixed. The customer service could definitely use some improvement, as the staff seemed more engrossed in their phones than in assisting customers, leading to a longer-than-necessary wait time to place an order. Additionally, the decor feels more like a takeaway shop than a cozy restaurant; a little sprucing up would greatly enhance the ambiance. Despite these drawbacks, the quality of the food makes it worth a visit. Hopefully, the management will address the customer service and decor issues to match the high standard of their cuisine.

Sweetened Turkish coffee was awesome - I usually don't have my Turkish coffee sweetened, but they did it well. We weren't too hungry so shared a two skewer set, the highlight was the chicken, it was still very juicy and bursting with smokiness and flavour. The kofte was a little fatty and the taste was good. Nice Turkish bread and good flavoured rice. Two toilets behind the kitchen.

We ordered lamb guvec and kebab plate. Food was okay, portion sizes were average and better than Anatolia at Foster. Service was good. Tea was nice. However, food was a bit pricey and atmosphere was nice. Location of restaurant is convenient.

This is a really great little restaurant. The food is fresh and interesting. I had the lamb casserole and my wife had the chicken Shish. All good and tasty. The bread that comes with the dips is amazing not to mention the actual dips. The beetroot dip is amazing the babaganoush ( I don’t know how you spell that!!) you must get the mixed dip plate. Overall this is a really nice feed and worth a visit. Prices are average and not expensive

Absolutely amazing! A warm, friendly welcome when we came in, great service and fabulous food. We ordered the mixed dips (with an extra bread), 2 lamb skewers and the Reyhana special pide. It was all SO delicious! In the end we also ordered baklava and Turkish delight, takeaway. All of the tables inside were full by 6:30pm, so if you haven't reserved or turned up early, you'll have to sit outside. Definitely popular for a reason and fantastic value at that! The fresh, hot bread with the dips was divine.

The seafood is NOT FRESH! The oyster was the worst with funny smell. Fish was over flavoured to cover the original taste coz it was not fresh. We ordered a seafood platter, extra oyster and steak. The best food among these were the steak. 🙃 Cannot believe I paid fine dining price for this.

Absolutely top shelf service and food! Staff were attentive, friendly and very professional to service delivery. Specials were explained and actually sounded too good to miss so I took them... reasonably priced but for the service provided, they are actually under pricing. Food was beautifully presented - I watched other plates as well coming out - and fresh. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The place is no longer called Scampis, as it's a pop up restaurant by Stunned Mullet....The foods good, liked it a lot, especially the prawn entre dish...and the flour less chocolate desert was great... The service is very quick and met a fast working waiter with a nice approach... I went twice in one week, as I had to try the entre again and will be going back k again...

We had 3 smalls and steak and desert, absolutely delicious everything. Very satisfied!! My hb said he could eat the whole menu😁

The seafood platter was excellent. It came out in 2 courses. The hot one 1st followed by the cold. A wonderful home made seafood sauce accompanied this & was really tasty, not a hint of vinegar to make it bitter.

Food is always very good and service very friendly. Seafood chowder is a fave. I knew the chowder fills me up so I had the soft shell crab entree for my main. Hubby loved his burra. We should come more often.

Dropped by Mekong Thai Lao Restaurant for lunch over the weekend and had a pretty good experience. I ordered just for myself—the portion size was reasonable, and the food tasted just fine, fresh and satisfying overall. What I liked was their menu; it’s extensive with a great variety of options, letting you try lots from both Lao and Thai cuisines. The staff was friendly and happy to accommodate dietary requirements, which is great if you have any special requests. Bathrooms are outside—you just need to ask staff for the key, which is handy. The real highlight was the waterfront view, which made the meal feel extra special. Plus, street parking is available, so getting there was really easy. Menu is a bit pricy though! Restaurant is closed on mondays and opens for lunch and dinner for most other days except tuesday, wednesday which are only for dinner.

Great gluten free options, coeliac aware. Had fresh oysters and gf pad si ew. Great cocktails, nice selection of wine and lovely views out into Port Macquarie waterways

The tom yum soup is delicious and intense. The coconut rice even by itself is so delicious! Partnered with their Penang curry was amazing! Also very friendly staff and beautiful view. We last came here 11 years ago and specifically came back just for the tom yum!

Beautiful open environment next to the water, perfect ambience for relaxing dinner. The pad Thai with chicken and fried rice were decent although on the sweeter end of the scale. Was not a huge fan of the soft shell crab entree. The staff were attentive and friendly. Price was on the higher end but should be expected for a waterside restaurant. Overall was a good experience and would try again!

Extremely impressive Thai food. Great staff with excellent service. Very helpful and hospitable. The soft shell crab is amazing. Super tender and well fried. They were not skimping on ingredients and each dish was loaded with good portions of seafood. Great glass noodle seafood salad. Will definitely come back

The restaurant is beside the water. Nice water views if you sit along the windows. We ordered an entry of soft shell crab, whole BBQ sniper fish and pork neck dishes. All tasted good, especially the soft shell crab and the sniper, so tasty

Situated on the waterfront at restaurant was busy and very popular. The drinks service was lacking in the night we visited. Appeared only one staff member was on drinks service while and array of other staff were walking around aimlessly. The meals lacked the punch and flavour would expect form Thai/Lao cuisine and a tad overpriced.

Great location average food. They pretty much deep fry everything! Had prawns with my salad that was deep fried to an inch of life, same with the holoumi cheese, pork belly, potato rosto (yep that’s the dark brown burnt thing on the left), and sweet potato crisps.

Best slow cooked beef Brisket I've tasted. The asparagus was cooked to perfection, not half cooked in microwave as most places do. The mushroom sauce was so tasty. My mum enjoyed her Pumpkin Risotto Cake with Beetroot Relish and Parmesan, grilled tomato and baby spinach. Although late to arrive, the meal was delicious with exceptional service, not rushed. Cappacinno was great too. Reasonably priced. Wonderful views of rainforest while you eat. Will definitely go back and enjoy another lunch at this Cafe. A wander around the centre us worth doing as many gifts can be found.

Staff and service from our waiter Benji were wonderful, would come back if in the area again. The Forest Bennie was a good size with a good size portion for the beef brisket. The Gluten free bread on the sandwich was ok as well. Had a Decaf coffee that was weak which was the only let down.

Lovely experience, food was delicious at the cafe (albeit a little too small for the price), I wish I had room to try one of the cakes in the cabinet. The walk through the rainforest was very pleasant, and we got to see a green catbird! Lovely service at the cafe and souvenir shop :)

Ordered a takeaway and whilst the salad and fries were great, the steak was undercooked. I deliberately ordered “well done” to ensure it was beyond medium however unfortunately it was “medium” at best, very pink and not how I like it. From the outside it looks well done but clearly from cooking it too high, too quick to get it out the door. Too difficult to rectify and wish I didn’t spend $55 (including delivery) for this meal.

Have not been here for ages and was very sceptical to be honest... Ordered the 300g Riverina rump and it was amazing 👏 fresh sides. My partners double cheeseburger again surprised it was delicious with tasty meat not mucked around with just quality beef with salt. Excellent so glad it's not just vac bagged steaks now thank you...

Food tasted amazing and was honestly one of the most cracka schnitzels that I’ve ever had. There was just one tiny problem, yep tiny problem, smaller than the microscopic piece of chicken scrap that was served on my plate as part of the $16.95 lunch special schnitzel. Seriously, if I fed that chicken to a newborn baby he’d probably still be crying out in hunger. Tasted really good tho and can’t complain about the service. I’d say false advertising it should be $16.95 entree kids menu.

Had a lovely dinner at Hogs Breath this evening, where we walked in on a Friday and were seated promptly. The food was delicious, with big portion sizes and the option to downsize meals. A special shout-out to our waitress, Trinity, who was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Would recommend! .

We try and visit Port Macquarie once a year around this November month. Tonight we were going to dinner this restaurant was second choice as The grill was not taking walk ins. We thought hog's breath maybe a good option if not too busy. We were able to walk in and get seated. Drinks came out quickly however a long wait on the food approx 45min to 1 hour. Appeared to be a few large groups. Would have been nice for the head's up on the long wait times. Food came out and the curly fries were warm. Salad was good and chicken cooked well. Based on the wait times would not go back. Staff were friendly when being served.

We came in as a couple tonight with no booking. The Gentleman on floor swiftly took us took us to a seat of our liking... now can I stop and talk about the service...Harry was absolutely fantastic. He was observant, polite, and ever so courteous. Andy as well was an excellent server. These two boys deserve a raise. They made us feel comfortable and welcome from the get go. Service is a huge deal in hospitality and these two boys absolutely nailed it! Hats off to them. As an owner you should be proud! All round good night, food was exactly what we wanted 😋

If you want Asian food while in Port Macquarie, this Glads House Thai restaurant will satisfy your need. I’m surprised that the spicy level is acceptable to the people as I personally found it rather ‘spicy’ 🌶️! The taste is good - full of flavours, big chicken slices and appetising.

I visited 2 days ago, on Saturday (9th Aug) lunchtime, but didn’t feel very welcomed by the young lady, as she didn’t seem very friendly. However, today was a much better experience, thank you so much to the young guy at the counter for the great service, and to the chefs for the delicious fried rice.

First time diner. Busy Friday night. Quality food. Came out quick. Prices were on par with other Thai restaurants in town. Only fault was waitresses were a bit slow to serve. Needed to wave to get attention

Delish thai food. The vermicelli wrapped spring rolls were freshly fried and nicely crunchy without being too oily. The thai style fried rice was almost burning hot, like an 8/10 but i do like chili in my food. Tamarind praws probably was my choice of stand out dish. Little bit sweet, little bit tang from tamarind. Veg and tofu was good, with the veg nicely cooked through but still had good texture to it.

Apart from the dirty long strand of hair in my green curry, the meal was delicious! Sauce was a lot thicker than I’m used to but couldn’t fault the flavour. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Had a great massam beef dish and the crab starters were really nice and plentiful(x6) I was with 3 veggies who all enjoyed there meal and 3 of us had a beer as well. I thought it was great value at 150 Au dolllar.

Very generous portions and very tasty food. Loved the tender juicy chicken tenderloins, really was delighlightful. Haven't been to any Asian style restaurant using tenderloins, it really made a difference to the taste and easy to chew. Only suggestion was to remove the tendon from the tenderloins. If this had been done, I would have given 5 stars as the food was very nice!

4.9.2025 We stopped for dinner whilst in Port Macquarie on holidays - the hospitality, service and food was exceptional. The pricing for the meals is great too! Best Chinese we've had in a long while and we'll definitely stop in next time we are in town! We had the special fried rice, garlic combination, sweet & sour pork and seafood omelette. There was enough food for 4 adults. Did I mention that the food was amazing? The dining room was spacious and well set out - the decor is charming. They do dine in, delivery and take away. They also provide containers if you find the food coma too intense!

Came here with my family quite a few years ago and we were very happy with our meal at this popular Port Macquarie restaurant. Returned tonight and was pleasantly surprised to see how it had improved even beyond what it was. Keep up the great work team! We will most certainly return next time we are in Port Macquarie.

It was a very nice restaurant. The sesame prawn toasts were delicious. The owner had a very good memory. We ordered quite a few things. She didn't write anything down, but remembered all correctly. I would definitely go there again.

Really enjoyed our meal. Very efficiently run the staff were friendly and at the same time worked continually to keep the place well presented and the tables clean. A little side issue the people who come as Menulog type carriers are often very poorly dressed one lady seemed to be in pink pyjamas they " hang around" the tables usually on the phone distracting from the ambiance of the restaurant Section and the diners enjoying their meals. Perhaps they should wait up the front where the takeaways are delivered. Love your wall of China

We travel down from Kempsey every chance we get for the best Chinese ever. Had our usual again today with yummy fried dim sims and spring rolls for starters! The service is excellent with the friendly lady serving us each time ,,she takes the orders never has to write anything down never gets it wrong. Keeps tables cleaned serves at the counter answers the phones effortlessly and always with a smile. Have eaten at many places in oz and overseas but this place for service and price is far the best!

I haven't had Chinese in so long and Karen at WOC was amazing. I'm a celiac and find it hard to order online. I called the restaurant and was greeted with a very friendly, lovely lady with knowledge of my dietary requirements. I felt confident from the start with all my questions answered with YES!!! Thank you Karen and the chef. I will be recommending WOC to all of my friends...🥰🥰🥰

If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I absolutely would. This was by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The woman who served us was incredibly rude and gave the impression that she had a problem with Indian face customers. We didn’t expect much, just basic courtesy and decent service, but even that seemed too much to ask. She was practically throwing the food at us. After finishing our soup, we placed the used bowls and spoons aside, expecting the staff to clear them. Instead, she carelessly tossed the used spoons back onto one of our dinner plates. When we pointed it out, she gave a half-hearted apology—not because she was genuinely sorry, but likely because there were other guests around. The food was mediocre, but the blatant racism and lack of professionalism made the experience unbearable. I’ve never felt so disrespected in any restaurant before. I strongly urge others to avoid this place at all costs.

The food is good, but if you want to eat an omelette, you need to place your order at least 20 minutes before the last order. I tried other things, and they were yummy too.

Great spot for lunch. Beautiful location on the river. Cozy and clean. New ownership has delicious special additions to the menu. We tried the chicken biryani and the butter chicken, Both excellent dishes full of flavor. And each came with yummy cardamom tea to sip on before meal arrived. Highly recommend this little hidden gem.

Had the best time at the point restaurant for dinner. New management have really turned the place around! The food was incredibly tasty and full of flavor. My partner and I enjoyed all of our meals and cocktails and the service was fabulous! Plus it’s in such a nice location on the water with a beautiful view. Will be recommending everyone here from now on!

The steak was perfect right down to the last bite. I cannot even imagine what the other meals would taste like. The cakes are also something you can’t miss. Would definitely recommend for everyone.

What a great experience! The Point Cafe Restaurant has really lifted under the recent new management. The place now has a fresh energy — and it really shows. Our food was top-notch: fresh, full of flavour, and nicely presented. The new team is genuinely friendly, welcoming, and they are clearly committed to great service. Everything is spotless — including the bathrooms. You can really feel the care and pride the new team brings. Highly recommend for a relaxed, quality meal in Port Macquarie.

Celebrated my mums 75th birthday with a family dinner at the point . The owner met mum with a beautiful bouquet of native flowers to make her experience extra special. The service was polite and prompt. The food was lovely- our table had both entrees and main and I can highly recommend the garlic prawn entree , pumpkin soup, salmon rissoles, oceans catch and the duck salad. I look forward to trying their breakfast menu next time I’m in town.

I had the special cocktail and main, and they were both delicious. The service and staff were lovely, nothing was too difficult. The meals were huge, and very reasonably priced. One of the best restaurants in Port Macquarie, I will definitely be back.
