Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in the Province of Florence

As someone who has had the privilege of dining in some of the world’s most celebrated culinary institutions, from Tokyo to Lima. I approached Enoteca Pinchiorri with high expectations. After all, a three-Michelin-starred legacy restaurant nestled in Florence commands a certain level of storytelling, innovation, and emotional resonance. There is no doubt: the service was flawless in precision, down to the smallest gesture. But therein lies part of the conflict, it felt mechanical, rehearsed, and somewhat devoid of warmth or genuine connection. The menu, while technically sophisticated and beautifully presented, lacked a narrative. There was no thread pulling me through a journey, no spark that made me pause in wonder. I kept waiting for that moment, the unexpected element that delights, the clever twist that turns a dish into memory. It came briefly, with a green lasagna accented by lemon mustard, an imaginative and bold pairing that awakened the senses. Unfortunately, that lift arrived too late in the meal to carry the experience. What left a bitter aftertaste, however, was observing the chef greet only a specific table, locals, perhaps regulars, while the rest of us were overlooked. Having dined at Central in Lima, currently ranked the best restaurant in the world, where the chef personally greeted every guest regardless of background, I couldn’t help but notice the contrast. True hospitality is inclusive. At €380 per person, I expected more than just flawless execution. I longed for emotion, for a story, for a moment that lingered long after the meal ended. Instead, I left with admiration for the craft, but without the memory of wonder.

I truly wonder how this restaurant maintains its Michelin 3-star status, because the experience fell far short of expectations. The service was shockingly poor – staff seemed to prioritize locals and regulars, while other guests were treated dismissively. One older staff member with white hair even placed another table’s wine bottle directly in front of me, blocking my view, seemingly because I had not ordered a bottle myself. The way I was treated made me feel unwelcome, and at times I sensed a degree of prejudice in their attitude. The food was another disappointment: overly salty, uninspired, and absolutely not worth the €390 price tag. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant. For the same cost, there are far better dining experiences in Europe where guests are treated with respect and food quality matches the price.

Truly bucket list experience. From the moment we stepped to the front door, service was top notch. Alejandro, Andrea, and Alberto did not disappoint. Both vegetarian and expression tasting were exceptional. With the wine pairings. Dessert was very unique in presentation and flavors.

Is the place overrated or the kitchen had an off night? You will be the judge. We made a reservation of 4. They will hold €1500 on your CC for the reservation. I totally understand the concept to prevent any cancellations. The service was excellent and I have nothing but good things to say. They were very attentive and answered all the questions we have. The food was underwhelming in general. At some point I asked if it was just me or everyone thinks that the food was below average? Unfortunately we are all agreed that the food was not that great. My wife had the duck and it was chewy and very underwhelming. The surprise dishes that they offered were surprisingly lacking the flavor. By the time you get to the sweet, you will feel that’s it I don’t want to keep going. I didn’t even try my sweet dish as I lost interest. I didn’t want to even try it.

“Disappointing” is the word I would use to describe Enoteca Pinchiorri. Its three Michelin star designation leaves much to be desired. The food is okay. It’s not bad, but for what you’re paying and the level of notoriety that the restaurant has received, you will leave puzzled. Presentation is very simple and depth of flavors is lacking throughout. I’m also fairly certain that two of my dishes were microwaved as the food and plate arrived scalding hot. The service is not very good and I was specifically disappointed in the sommelier. For a restaurant that touts its wine cellar and refers to its wine list as “the Bible” I was really let down that he was unable to recommend something given my tastes. To top off my poor experience, a large fly was circling the dining room throughout our dinner and I was actually able to catch it in my hand towards the end, marking the sole moment of satisfaction this evening brought me. Bottom line - not up to three Michelin star standards, seek Michelin elsewhere in Florence.

Absolutely blown away by our dinner at Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence. They created a full vegan tasting menu just for us and not a single missed note. Every dish was thoughtful, creative, and delicious. The service, the wine pairings, the ambiance was perfection. If you’re plant-based and in Florence, do not miss this.

I may have mistaken this for a food first restaurant, being that it is called Enoteca (wine shop) but, being a Michelin 3 star restaurant, I was surprised at the very low quality of the food. Started off with a chip that tasted like tomato pringles, and it went south from there. Cold food, which isn’t unusual in these restaurants, but the tastes just did not work. There was this “lasagna” that was a long stale noodle appearing this, with just horrible tastes. Also, not that any michelin restaurant will have affordable bottles, but they recommended to me an $800 bottle of wine after I said I wasn’t really a connoisseur… not the best experience. $1000 down the drain. Btw, not flexing because I am sure that many have enjoyed more fine dining than I, but I have been to 8 three star michelin restaurants, and tons of one and two star, plus a bunch of the top 10 non-Michelin rated restaurants in South America (e.g. - Central) and this was the only restaurant where the food was just not good. The service was amazing, however. The wait staff was amazing, and nice, and professional.

Gucci Osteria in Florence is a truly special experience. Even though it’s a luxury, brand-name restaurant connected to the Gucci boutique, it’s much more than just a tourist spot. The food is absolutely delicious — some dishes are so good you’ll want to order them twice! What’s even more surprising for such a high-end place is how friendly and helpful the staff are. They go out of their way to make your visit perfect and will happily help with anything you need. If you’re in Florence, this restaurant is a must-visit. It’s not just about the name — it’s about amazing food and warm service in a beautiful setting. Plus, it’s right inside the same building as the Gucci store, which adds to the experience Def try coffee soup )

For the price, everything was just sort of good enough. The tortellini needed more salt, the waiter should have explained that a prosciutto starter was more for sharing than for one person to have as a course, and the service forgot us at the end. The food was beautiful and the space was lovely but a bit cold.

I absolutely loved and enjoyed this place by both my eyes and mouth. Amazing quality of dishes. It is of course not just about the foods but the way I was treated by the servers. They were so kind to me explaining every single dishes and asked my preferences as well. I would definitely love to visit here again!

The Gucci Osteria was just awful. The “seafood salad” was a grey mouse in a black tart under greens that was the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. It was as if they blended a bunch of raw seafood together and plopped it into a tart. There were slimy pieces of seafood floating in the grey goo. The second pasta was nothing special and served cold. The “extras” were fine but overall I would have been happier at any other restaurant in Florence. For the price and time it was a huge disappointment. I’m giving a bad rating for service because it was very clear that we did not like the grey mush and the server just left it in front of us for 20 minutes. Do yourself a favor and skip this.

First time in a Michelin star restaurant DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Celebrated my fortieth birthday by treating myself to the tasting menu and had the four most exquisite hours of my life in the process! Amazing service! Incredible food! The perfect evening! Thank you!

Worth the hype. I know other locations don’t have best reputation. The food here is incredible and dining room is gorgeous.

The food was terrible, not worth the price. The selection was poor overall, but we were also limited to choosing dishes from specific sections of the menu when ordering. We ordered drinks before eating. The mojito was terrible, sour and unsweetened, despite being drenched in a strange syrup. As a compliment, we were brought a "chocolate candy" and a cup of coffee. After tasting this masterpiece, I almost threw up. I think it was chicken liver pate or something similar. I didn't try the coffee, but according to my family, they added broth to the coffee for a more specific flavor. My order included spaghetti with tomato paste and steak as a main course. An hour later, they brought me completely ordinary spaghetti with tomato sauce. About forty-five minutes later, I waited for the steak. To put it mildly, it wasn't what I expected. There were two small pieces of meat on the plate, clearly not enough to completely satisfy. Overall, terrible.

We had an incredible experience here with our friends. The dishes were so flavorful and delicious. They start with giving you an option of meat or fish tasting menu. Pairing wine was an option if you like. The service was great as well. The dishes kept getting better and better. My favorite part was the olives desert. I know it sounds weird but that ice cream tasted so smooth and balanced I almost asked for more but we were all so full. The dining room is small and only a few tables which I think it’s a great idea. I was a bit skeptical coming in reading other reviews but i would highly recommend.

I was blown away by our experience at Ora d'Aria. Coming from NYC, we have no shortage of great tasting menu restaurants that absolutely pale in comparison to this one. Every bite we had was exquisite, decadent, and full of flavor. The waiters were knowledgable about the food and the wine, answering all our questions. I'm STILL thinking about this meal. We went on a Wednesday night, and I'm not kidding, the next evening I wanted to cancel our dinner reservation and go back a second night in a row. I absolutely would have done it if they were not closed on Thursdays. Ora d'Aria, thank you so much for a fantastic dining experience.

One of the most beautiful lunches in recent years. I called and 15 minutes later we were in one of the most beautiful places in Florence. A beautiful entrance to the restaurant, a crazy, hand-painted ceiling and great classics in the restaurant. We opted for the fish menu and were incredibly spoiled with the service and the view of a great lunch. We were able to follow the cooking live in the kitchen and were spoiled with great courses. The atmosphere couldn't have been better, the food was exciting and incredibly tasty. I can only say that it was a very relaxed lunch of a very high standard. Thank you to the team, thank you to the chef, Marco Stabile, you have enchanted us and from now on we are big fans of yours.

We stopped here for lunch and this fine dining gem exceeded all expectations. The tasting menu was a culinary journey—from the delicate sea bass carpaccio to the perfectly seared veal. Each dish was presented beautifully, almost too pretty to eat! The sommelier suggested wines that complemented every course. The atmosphere is intimate, and you really feel like the chefs put heart into every plate.

Ora d’Aria was exceptional. The service was flawless and every dish delivered pure pleasure. The lobster pasta was the best I’ve ever had, and the Normandy butter with anchovy was unforgettable. The beef with its cauliflower crust was incredible, and the cod was simple on the surface but the orange reduction gave it real depth. They even brought out complimentary biscuits that melted in my mouth. Watching the chef work in the open kitchen added something special. You can feel his calm, steady presence in every detail. This place deserves six stars.

If you're looking for a fine dining experience in Florence, Ora d’Aria delivers. This Michelin-starred restaurant is elegant without being stuffy. We went for the tasting menu, which was a beautifully curated journey through Tuscan cuisine with a modern twist. Standout dishes included the roasted pigeon with pear and the handmade pasta with smoked butter and anchovy. Every plate was a work of art, and the service was impeccable – attentive but never intrusive. The wine pairing was spot on and featured some lovely regional selections. The interior is modern and minimal, with large windows that let in beautiful natural light during lunch. It’s pricier than most (€100+ per person), but the quality and attention to detail justify every cent. It’s close to the Uffizi but tucked away on a quiet street, which makes it feel like a hidden gem. Perfect for a romantic evening or a celebratory meal. Definitely one of the most refined meals I've ever had in Italy.

Upon entering the restaurant, the entrance has an amazing walkway of fairy lights that make for an amazing photo. Once through, the dining room abruptly starts and you are left standing there confused until one of the waiters acknowledges you to seat you. On the night we went, there were only two other tables and we were placed next to the entrance such that we couldn't see into the kitchen. That night, they were training a waiter so we had a weird experience of one waiter with amazing service and attentiveness and another where you would not expect for fine dining (Not pouring water for you, not explaining the dishes, not cleaning up the plates and table after each dish etc.). Apart from that, food was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed each meal. We opted to select one meat and one seafood course so that we could try one of each dish. Each course brilliantly highlights the local Tuscan cuisine so you won't miss out whatever you choose. Given the restaurant is of such a high calibre, we were expecting both the service and food to be perfect. This was probably a once-off issue but unfortunately was our experience coming all the way from Australia looking forward to fine dining in Italy!

My first time in Florence and this place added laurels to this city profoundly! Having been to so many Michelin rated restaurants I wasn't as keen after a long journey; still it exceeded my expectations. The service and the atmosphere are good as one would expect in a high end restaurant, not much to add here except I found them to be one of the politest in comparison to my experiences from Europe and the US. I picked the "Gherardesca" Tasting Menu mainly because I wanted to try risotto and pasta from the selections. Every single of the 12 (more additions besides the tasting menu) offerings were sensationally delivered. The Amuse-bouche was probably one of the best. Few dishes that stood out were the risotto (beautifully tangy), the cockerel agnolotti (with truffle and divine al dente pasta) and the Lamb (gorgeous sear on the meat) were exquisite. The desserts were good as well, though I feel adding too many raspberries adds excessive sourness to the dessert which isn't my favourite. I often noticed that most Michelin star places are somehow repetitive with almost identical (french) flavours, but not this one. It stayed true to it's Italian roots and flavours...and that is commendable! Definitely recommend for anyone hoping to get the best of Italian cuisine.

All around beautiful experience. Our waiter was lovely and attentive. We had one of the fixed menu at €195/person.Pricey but worth it! Lovey atmosphere. My friends were RAVING about the bread sticks!

Amazing experience, the food was absolutely spectacular and the attention to detail was outstanding. Simone took care of us and he did a wonderful job, never missed a single detail and made sure we had everything we needed. The manager Marco made sure we were we had an amazing time and elevated our dinner to the next level. Every single person there is phenomenal. The men and women here are absolutely professionals!!!

Dinner at il Palagio located at the Four Seasons Florence by Chef Paolo Lavezzini is a 1 star michelin.. left us so confused between brilliant taste with the amuse bouche, beetroot starter, dessert and unpalatable mains with the sea bass fish - sea bass Wellington!! Referred in the menu as crusted sea bass, we thought just crisp skin 😆😆, lamb, gnocchi.. overall 2/10 and wouldn’t recommend it.

We dined at Il Palagio, the Michelin one starred restaurant located within the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, to experience their renowned tasting menu. Having been underwhelmed by other Michelin experiences in the past, I approached this meal with cautious optimism. However, Il Palagio exceeded all expectations. The ambiance was both elegant and inviting, reflecting the restaurant's setting in the historic Palazzo della Gherardesca. We also had breakfast at this restaurant while staying at the Four Seasons, which was fantastic, as well. I started with a gin martini with twist. So yummy. We chose the Gherardesca tasting menu, a culinary journey inspired by the hotel's private garden. I won't even begin to talk about how beautiful the garden is. :) The menu featured dishes that showcased the chef's ability to blend traditional Tuscan flavors with innovative techniques. Notably, an appetizer incorporated Kimchi, seamlessly integrating this element into the dish's flavor profile. As a Korean, I found this a nice touch, personally. It was a 6-course meal, but they offered multiple appetizers so it felt like a 9 or 10 course meal. Each course, from the amberjack fish to the lamb, was meticulously prepared and presented, highlighting the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Unlike previous Michelin experiences, every dish here was actually both delicious and satisfying. While we did not opt for the full wine pairing, the sommelier provided excellent recommendations that complemented our meal perfectly. The staff's attentiveness and knowledge further enhanced our dining experience. Il Palagio offered a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, making it a standout choice for those seeking a memorable dining experience in Florence. The service was so nice. Super attentive, friendly, and proactive. The manager later stopped by to talk to us and offered some chocolates. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to indulge in exceptional cuisine within a historic and refined setting.

The presentation was refined and the venue stunning, also very good service, but the overall taste and execution of the dishes left us puzzled. Some ingredients, like the broad beans, seemed undercooked—possibly intentional, but it didn’t resonate with us.

This was my first Michelin-starred restaurant, and it was a great experience. I tried the tasting menu called Le Spezie della Regina. The meal began with bread, homemade butters, and olive oil. They explained that each month highlights a new veggie and this month was radish. The radish was broken down and each part of seasoned differently. Then the tasting menu began. Each plate was beautifully presented, and I tried so many different things, like vegetable charcoal and cuttlefish. My favorite dish was the pasta - it had such a depth of flavor that it definitely stands out. There was also a small palate cleanser before the dessert which was a radish sorbet. That one small bite was incredible! It might have been my favorite bite of the whole night. The dish that felt like an oversight was the cheese course. While not every dish was my favorite or stands out, flavors were interesting and different and it was a fun food journey to go on. While I expected the service to be of a high standard, it went above and beyond. The staff was helpful and explained each dish and at the same time were not overbearing. The atmosphere in general was really lovely and it was nice that the restaurant was not overpacked.

Warning!!! Do not go here!! Very sad that I chose this as my first pasta meal I had in Italy. Came here due to all the good reviews and talks about how this is a very authentic place Was extremely pumped to try Ordered Florentine steak and marinara pasta ….soon greatly disappointed Two other people next to us also ordered the steak One of which we struck up a conversation with because he saw us picking at our steak and told us he was also very underwhelmed with the food The other group next to us didn’t even bother to finish Marinara Pasta 2/5 Nothing special, pasta noodles way too soft and very underwhelming. Definitely had way better pasta. We were recommended by the person sitting next to us to go to Trattoria Sabatino instead. Glad we went for dinner! Way better! Florentine steak 55euro/kg and minimum purchase of 600grams. Expensive compared to other places. Nothing else to say besides…. 🤢 bad. Might be rated at the top of one the worst steaks I have ever eaten. I had 1/3 of my steak and stopped wasting my stomach on bad food.

We made our reservations two solid months before we arrived in Florence and its a good thing that i did. In his confirmation reply, he suggested that I remind him a few days before and cautioned me not to be late or I would risk losing my spot. I reminded him 4 times. When we got there he pointed to the sign that said they were booked for the day and we were 10 minutes early! So I reminded him that I made reservations 2 moths ago. He stopped and said, "Are yiu Michael?" "Yes, I am!" He shook my hand and welcomed us in happily and sat us at a table. Bistecca alla Fiorentina is legendary and Trattoria Mario is the place to go for it. The hand cut and chop the bone to order. You can hear the ckeaver hitting that bone because the kitchen is semi open. You can see and hear and smell what is going on in there. You order, they bring out that raw porterhouse, 1 kg or 2.2 pounds, I approved it and 10 minutes later we were eating the best piece of beef that I have ever eaten, cooked perfectly rare! Delicious and definitely worth the 2 month reservation. We planned our activities in beautiful Florence around this perfect meal! Thank you, Mario and staff!

We made a reservation through Instagram DM, and even though we arrived about 10 minutes late because we took the wrong train, the owner welcomed us warmly. We ordered the 1.2 kg T-bone steak, a salad, potatoes, and a half-bottle of wine. The steak was seasoned perfectly and tasted great. The salad wasn’t anything special, but it paired well with the meat. The potatoes came out as fries, which was a bit disappointing at first, but they were actually addicting once we started eating. The wine also matched the steak very well. The atmosphere was a bit lively and noisy, but it added to the local charm. Overall, we were very satisfied with both the food and the service. We would definitely come back.

Incredible hole-in-the-wall with authentic food and experience. We had the bolognese and Florentine steak. The pasta sauce was incredible - such a rich flavor. The steak was perfectly seasoned, if a bit on the rare side. We were lucky to get in for lunch without a reservation. It's not a big place, and the waiter said they are always full. We would definitely come back the next time we're here.

The food is good but I had better fiorentina. Service is good and quick like they are ready to send you out for next customer. It’s not a place you sit down and enjoy meal. It’s more like you sit and have a quick meal in my opinion

I'm a bit of a steak snob and stopped ordering it out as it's usually disappointing. The T-Bone here is amazing! Super soft inside, wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked which to me should be how every steak restaurant is. Came out rare. Very friendly and accommodating, managed to squeeze us in for an hour but would recommend pre booking a spot. Wish I'd come here earlier in our trip as I've only eaten the steak an hour ago and already want more. Various size steaks so if you want a bigger one ask for it, ours was 700g. Also had the meat pasta which was also delicious and the best one of our trip. Paid around 51 euros for the steak and pasta dish which I think is excellent value

Truly amazing service by Mario’s familia! They were so sweet and friendly and the steak here was soft. Thought the steak would be too rare and tough but it tasted perfectly cooked and delicious. Had a nice hard sear and well seasoned. The tomato beans were also so comforting and tender. The place is quaint but bustling, felt like the real florentine deal!!

The food here is absolutely amazing. Staff are quick paced and food came out fast. Seatings are also comfortable. The beef tripe is soft and soaked up all the sauces, absolutely delicious. The tomato ribbon pasta is fresh and sweet. The beef is also soft and tender, and the calelloni is very delicious as well. Everything is amazing here. Highly recommended!

Recently in Florence and wanted a Florentine Steak. Reviews say this is the place…and they were right. The food and atmosphere is old world Italian. The owner made a great attempt to get me in after being fully reserved. If you’re looking for authentic Italian and atmosphere, this is the place.

We ended up making a dinner reservation for the next day at the insistence of my husband, with the help of friendly gentleman who we assumed was the owner. The classic bistecca was the best I’ve had in the city, and the potatoes were also delicious. For variety, we ordered the cannelloni as well. All the dishes, along with the recommended red wine pairing, were fantastic. If we come back to Florence, we’d definitely love to eat here again.

Food and service were great. We got the cannelloni, wild boar pappardelle, florentine steak with spinach and potatoes and chicken cacciatore. The steak was really rare but I think that’s just how the Florentine steak is served.

Amazing food, nicest people in all of Florence, authentic beautiful place. I ordered the braised beef with onions and polenta, and it was amazing. The house wine from Chianti is made of Syrah grapes and it goes very well with meat and in general is amazing. They have a chocolate cake for dessert, that you won’t believe it doesn’t contain any sugar, eggs or flour!! 10/10 for everything. Will come back for sure.

Buca Lapi was the food highlight of our visit to Florence. Every element of the experience was excellent. First, the service was stellar from the moment we arrived. Our server, Franca, was extremely knowledgable, friendly, and professional. She helped us choose a wonderful bottle of wine (picture included) and explained the menu in great detail. Next, the food was amazing -- we loved the pasta (tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms), chicken cacciatore, and Florentine steak.. Make sure you visit this restaurant when you stay in Florence -- you won't regret it (especially if Franca is your server).

Had an amazing dinner at Buco Lapi, and they managed to squeeze us in on Friday night which was very kind! It gives off a charming and authentic vibe and the interiors are very photogenic. We had the house red which was delightful and wanted to share each course, which the waiter understood, with each dish arriving on separate plates. We started with the bruschetta which was delicious and made with very high quality ingredients. Then we had the soft and pillowy spincach gnocchi in a sage butter that was to die for, the gnocchi were a bit too soft for my liking, but that’s just me! Then came the most deliciously flavoured juicy steak I’ve ever had the please of eating, it was tender and smoky, just how you want a steak to taste! Unfortunately, and the only reason I hesitate to give Buca Lapi a 5 star, is that we had asked for our steak medium rare and it came much more in the medium side… which for a €70 steak, you’d expect to have it cooked to order. Still very delicious nonetheless!

A beautiful tasting menu with a great mix of Italian cuisines. This is one of the best experiences we’ve had dining out! Would recommend this to anyone going to Florence.

As a lifelong foodie who has eaten my way through Michelin-starred temples and hole-in-the-wall gems, I can say without hesitation that La Leggenda dei Frati is one of the most memorable dining experiences I have ever had. The setting alone is breathtaking: Villa Bardini sits high above Florence, with gardens that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a dream. But it is what happens at the table that truly defines this restaurant. I chose the nine-course tasting menu, and from the very first bite, I knew I was in for something extraordinary. Each course was a story in itself, balancing artistry, innovation, and deep respect for Tuscan tradition. The pacing was flawless, the flavors precise, and the plating so beautiful it felt almost criminal to disturb it. Standout dishes included a course that reimagined seasonal vegetables as if they were jewels on the plate, and a main that struck the perfect harmony between rustic soul and modern finesse. Desserts were whimsical yet elegant, a finale that left me smiling like a child. The wine pairings were masterful, elevating every course without overwhelming it. The sommelier’s knowledge and warmth made the experience all the more personal. And I must mention the staff: attentive without being intrusive, passionate without pretension. They guided me through the evening with such care that it felt less like dining at a restaurant and more like being welcomed into a world designed to delight every sense. By the end of the evening, I realized this was not just a meal, it was a journey—an immersion in Florence’s culture, flavors, and artistry, all seen through the lens of a visionary chef. If you love food, beauty, and the kind of experience that stays with you long after the last sip of wine, La Leggenda dei Frati is simply unmissable. Five stars feels like an understatement.

Outstanding food, fantastic service and a beautiful venue - we did the seven course tasting menu with wine pairing and the whole experience was incredible. The shrimp, the tagliolini, the risotto and the dessert are excellent. The sommelier was excellent and chose some delicious wines. The views from the terrace and the rooftop are stunning. Cannot recommend this place enough!

The food is every bit as special as the view and that’s saying a lot! The are twists and combinations in each course and they work! The coffee enhances the risotto, just as bbq sauce brings out the inherent sweetness in the carrots. My favorite dish was the beets, barely cooked, and shaped like a rose. I could have made a whole dinner out of that dish. The presentations are beautiful and the service impeccable. The chef greets each guest and somehow makes it all feel personal. This restaurant has all the mystique and beauty of Florence. Go!

I cannot, in good conscience, give this restaurant a good rating. This is the worst Michelin-star experience I’ve encountered; in fact, it’s the most disappointing meal of my entire trip to Italy. The presentation is beautiful, but the flavors missed the mark completely. The sweet shrimp dish is the only one I somewhat enjoyed, but it was merely scraps in the soup. It feels ridiculous to be served such a minimal portion for such an expensive meal. Can I please have a full shrimp? The tiny bits in there do not constitute a full serving. Then came the pasta, which was bland, and the stuffed pasta resembled mush—what was that? I completely lost it with the next dish: chicken liver. First off, another bread heavy dish after a few bread dishes already. The balancing and pace of this meal is completely off. Secondly, I usually relish, as I love pâté, foie gras, and similar delicacies. However, this dish tasted overwhelmingly bloody, making it inedible. The pigeon, which I am familiar with and grew up eating, also had an unpleasant taste, oozing with blood. I love a medium rare steak but this dish literally tasted like blood. At this point, I felt nauseated and decided to ask for the check before dessert. As for the bill, the waitress initially told us the drinks were complimentary, so we decided to give them a try. That turned out to be untrue. We were charged for everything, bringing our total to a staggering $450, which is excessively high, even by US standards. We left feeling robbed, and I even experienced stomach pain afterward. If you think you’ll enjoy a nice view during dinner, you are in for a disappointment. We were greeted with trees completely blocking the city skyline, only getting a glimpse of it after our meal. Additionally, I noticed there were only three tables occupied in the entire restaurant on a Friday night, which was quite telling. I wish I could have my time and money back. This was for our wedding anniversary and truly completely ruined our day. It’s an incredibly disappointing experience, and I can’t help but feel frustrated thinking about it.

Good service but totally not worth the money for tasting menu. I was extremely disappointed by the low level of food execution and knowledge for such a cost of fine dining. The restaurant intends to brag about its Italian heritage but totally fail to highlight its Tuscany location. We got scampi with gold foil, mixing with suspicious sour soup and suspicious chickpea that totally does not match the taste and texture. We got a dessert that placed at the edge of the plate without any possible conversation to the center of the place. Right. The center of the place is empty. Without a trace of spread or any decoration. It is just a piece of tart at the edge. That is! Ghastly sense of beauty. We got waiters that have no idea where they source tomatoes and vegetables. All they know is that it is not from Tuscany. We got a caramel chicken liver mouse in the middle of the tasting menu. A totally sweet and pretended to be sweet-savory dish in the middle. That declares that your taste bud's malfunction. Not to mention the caramel taste is suspicious again. The very last dish is a pork steak that make you question your life. The fat was under-cooked, chewy and disgusting. Spring onion properly cook, but don't they know that the cooking also creates tons of slimy juice and thus inappropriate to serve as a whole piece for knife and fork. And all the decorated apple ingredients does not blend together with the rest of the dish. DO NOT TRY TASTING MENU here.

This restaurant, just located out of the center of Firenze, is very good. We took the Vegetarian menu with 2 additional dishes of fish and meat. The chef uses excellent regional ingredients, very well prepared. The location is nice and the personnel is professional. At the end of the dinner the chef will take you on the roof where you'll have a gorgeous view of the city!

We went for opening time at 6pm for some before dinner drinks as we knew we couldn’t reserve. We were first there and of course seated no problem. At this time the service was great! It quickly filled up over the couple of hours we were there. We had cocktails from the menu and asked for some that weren’t on it. All delicious!

If you're in for a cocktail experience, it's the place to go. Awesome service and awesome drinks. The place is really charming. Yes, a little pricey but you won't have the same experience elsewhere.

Atmosphere: 10/10 Located not far from the Duomo, Locale Firenze transports you into a palazzo from the 1200s, balancing medieval architecture with modern elegance. The half open-air concept, soaring ceilings, chandeliers, antique furniture, and plenty of greenery make it one of the most dramatic bar spaces in Florence. Music volume is spot on, the backbar is stunning, and seating is ample both at the counter and for groups. Drinks: 8/10 Recommendation: Kenmoonshine Unfortunately, the menu is digital only—which is not ideal. That said, their digital design is at least creative, with ABV indicators and glassware previews. The selection is solid, featuring interesting ingredients and good balance in flavor. Glassware is above average, coasters aren’t used, garnishes are minimal, and presentation is kept basic. Service: 9/10 Water served on arrival, plus complimentary snacks and even a welcome drink. The team is very friendly, professional, and attentive. Reservations aren’t needed for the bar, and prices are above average for Florence.

⭐ Locale Firenze – 2/5 We paid €380 for 2 adults and 2 children, and honestly, we were disappointed. The food wasn’t bad, but it was nowhere near worth that price. The place is beautiful, with an elegant atmosphere clearly designed for a “jet-set” clientele, but the value for money is completely unreasonable. What surprised us most is that no one seemed shocked to charge such an excessive price, and no one offered a children’s menu. We had to find it ourselves through the drink QR code, and luckily we did — otherwise, we would have paid even more. Also, not every dish was successful: the pigeon and the lamb were quite ordinary and served without sides, and the dessert was average at best. The food was fine, but definitely not for this kind of price. The next day, we dined at a Michelin-starred restaurant, Konnubio, paying only €140 for 4 people — and that was a true gastronomic experience, refined and delicious, far beyond our expectations. Here, despite the high bill, we left still feeling hungry, and to top it off, by the end of the evening the music was turned up so loud that we couldn’t even talk to each other. The purpose of this review is to warn other guests and encourage the restaurant team to reflect, because at these prices, you expect much more quality and care. Avoid these kinds of “tourist traps” — I don’t support such practices, and that’s exactly why I’m writing this review.

An excellent restaurant. The service was perfect and the food wonderful. Our Sommelier recommended the perfect wine. Our one slight gripe was the volume of the music. We are surprised that this restaurant has not received a star from Michelin.

The experience of integrating art and food, the restaurant atmosphere is very good and suitable for a romantic dinner, As for the dishes, except for the lamb shank steak which is relatively lean, the other dishes are all good. the service is good. In addition the restaurant's bar was named one of the World's 50 Best Bars for 2022-2024.

Beautiful bar and great DJ with inventive cocktails and amazing light bites! We stopped by here after dinner and had a great night. We started out with tomato and watermelon cocktails and everything was delicious! Would love to come back! :)

Tucked away right by the river, it's the perfect spot for an intimate dinner with friends or a romantic evening with your partner. It's a classic, old-school restaurant with an old but incredibly talented staff who make the entire experience feel special. ​The food is simple but exquisite, serving up wonderful Tuscan dishes for true gourmands. My go-to is always the duck paired with a glass of Chianti, it's simply amazing! ​The atmosphere is what really sets this place apart. It's warm, inviting, and feels like a genuine taste of old Florence. This is a must-visit if you're in town.

We had really high hopes - we reserved for 2 from 1pm and ordered a Florentine steak for 2 and fried zucchini flowers to go with them. We then waited 45 mins for cold steak and zucchini flowers to come. This was disappointing. Whereas another group that came 30 minutes after was served in about 15 mins (regardless of dish served). It was rather apparent our plates were just left out there for a long while. They only seemed to bother moving after I decided to walk out for a stroll passing by the open kitchen (the dishes promptly arrived after I came back). For 125 euros for 2, this is very bad service. At the end, we didn't bother waiting for payment at the table, we just went up to the counter to pay. Avoid.

We were really excited about this place, it came highly recommended and the line out the door seemed to confirm the hype. We didn’t have a reservation but they were able to seat us after a small wait which we were so grateful for. I’ll start by saying that the sage calamari dish was one of our favorite dishes of our entire trip! We still talk about it. The interior is homey and classic. However, our tortellini was served cold, service was very slow so it probably sat for a while before it made its way to our table. The “Caesar” salad was just raw mushrooms with cold cheese on top. I don’t know if this was a lost in translation situation but it didn’t even pass as a salad. The steak and mashed potatoes were just ok. We left a bit disappointed.

A great traditional Florentine restaurant and should be at the top of your list. The wait staff is the most knowledgeable I have ever seen, the food is traditional and can't be beat. A little on the expensive side and I can tell it is getting more tourists that locals, but still worth a visit. Call and make reservations.

Classic trattoria serving typical Florentine cooking elevated with perfect ingredients in an unpretentious atmosphere— old world style w/ white tablecloths and monogrammed plates. Menu is seasonal— but always have staples on the menu of classic cooking. Mix of raw/ cooked starters, pastas, veal Milanese etc, and some amazing desserts like their tiramisu. All the food we had was great- the pecorino brûlée was unique and a great appetizer, shrimp tartare another great light appetizer. Also had the anchovies with bread and butter. Limited drink menu, but large wine menu

Incredible food. I went to Trattoria ZaZa the night before, and Cammillo is on a whole other level. Lamb Tagliatelle and Tiramisu were phenomenal.

Traditional italian food. Great service, amazing food and wine. We had a very nice experience. Would recommend for sure.

One of the best meals we’ve had in Florence. The service made us feel at home and the food was delightful. We had the mix salami, tortellini in butter sauce, artichoke pie, and the chicken breast in butter sauce. Everything was delicious but the highlight was the chicken. The wafting aroma of the sizzling butter as it came to your table made it so much more amazing. Dessert is a must-get the meringue cake layered with ice-cream and topped with the sweetest raspberries. Already living in my head as an unforgettable dessert. Definitely make a reservation in advance we got lucky with a no-show (Thanks Mr. Gary!!).

This spot is definitely worth checking out. Reservations are a must since it’s a small and cozy place—try calling ahead, and if you can’t get through, it’s worth swinging by in person to book. They usually seat at 7:30 PM and 9:00 PM, and I think they also do lunch from about 12:30 to 2:00. We started with the tortellinis with beef, which was fantastic. Then we tried the butter chicken and a Florentine steak—both were excellent. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the steak had that perfect grilled flavor. The artichoke with egg was also a nice surprise. We shared everything between three adults, and it was more than enough. Don’t skip dessert if you go—it really completes the meal.

If you want to try authentic local florentine dishes while in Firenze, I highly recommend you try Trattoria Sostanza. My wife and I came here without a reservation on a Monday afternoon at 12:30pm (opening time) and we were told they were fully booked for the whole week. We were determined to try this place in our 4 day trip to Florence, so we returned the following day at opening time. We politely told them we did not have a reservation but we were willing to wait. They originally told us to wait until 1pm, which we had no problem with because this place was at the top of our list. To our surprise, they came out to get us after about 10 minutes and seated us at a table with another couple. We were so grateful that they were willing to squeeze us in. The staff is truly a delight and very accommodating. We ordered the sizzling butter chicken breasts, tortellini with ragu, artichoke tart, 1/4L red wine, and cake for dessert. Everything was phenomenal but our favorite dish was the sizzling butter chicken. It is truly a must try dish when visiting Florence. One thing to note is that the tart is a seasonal dish, so it may have different vegetables incorporated. We are counting down the days until we return to this lovely restaurant. We highly recommend making a reservation in advance (preferably a week or more), as we were very lucky to dine here. Thanks again to the staff for squeezing us in 😁

What an incredible experience at this truly local gem. The famous butter chicken arrived at the table still sizzling, rich, and absolutely unforgettable — pure comfort on a plate. The pasta with ragù was equally outstanding, full of depth and flavor, the kind of dish that makes you pause after every bite. And to finish, the panna cotta was simply divine — silky, delicate, and impossible to resist. A timeless place where tradition meets soul. One of those meals you’ll remember long after you’ve left.

Nothing short of amazing! The best Florentine steak we’ve had so far! The server made some great recommendations. We got the artichoke pie, the steak with some chicory salad and some raspberries in lemon for dessert. Everything was absolutely wonderful. I can’t wait to go back and try their chicken next!

This place was the BEST we had during our Italy trip. My husband and I went 30 mins before opening at lunch time, as we did not have a reservation. While we were waiting, slowly others started coming to wait as well. As soon as doors opened, they seated us, despite us not having a reservation. We ordered the tomatoes, butter chicken, and tortellini in brodo. Every single dish was PERFECT. We were served the tortellini in broth first, and they split the portions for us too. Tortellini was al dente, with a meat stuffing inside. It was soooo good. The broth was super savory and flavorful. Then the chicken and tomatoes. These two dishes complimented each other SO WELL. The chicken breast was super juicy, flavorful, and not overwhelming. The tomatoes were super refreshing, and it complimented the chicken perfectly. Make sure to dip the bread in the olive oil with tomatoes. 10000% recommend !

Easily the best meal I had in Italy, Trattoria Sostanza feels like walking into a classic restaurant with the best food and vibes. The butter chicken is a standout, with the meringue cake, tortellini with meat sauce and artichoke pie also incredible! It is a MUST go in Florence!

Trattoria Zà Zà is a fantastic Italian restaurant! We tried the steak, salad, and soup, and everything was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The steak in particular was amazing, though it was much bigger than we expected, so we couldn’t quite finish it. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The service was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. If you’re craving hearty, authentic Italian food in Florence, Trattoria Zà Zà is definitely worth a visit. Just come hungry… but maybe pace yourself if you order the steak! Only complain is service was super slow.

The dishes we had in Florence were quite good, and we paid 52 euros for our meal. The flavors were satisfying, and the presentation was nice. However, the overall dining experience could have been better. The area where we were seated didn’t smell very pleasant; there was an unusual odor that made us feel a bit uncomfortable. In addition, the staff could improve their attitude. The waiters were somewhat rude and not as attentive or polite as we would expect in a restaurant. A friendlier and more welcoming approach would have made the experience much more enjoyable.

i arrived at noon and asked for a table outside, which the servers helped me out very gently. i told the servers that i have to leave in 1 hour as i need to catch my train, so they quickly processed my orders, and everything arrived very quick. i had bruschetta with truffles, an aperol and entrecôte, since you can only order the florentine steak per kg, as usual! i ordered my steak almost well-done, so it was as i expected. the entrecôte sauce contains parsley and is a bit sour with demi glace , so it was not something i expected for my palate for a meat plate. however, i liked it. i have to admit that one first or second course would be enough as the plate is huge, so the appetizer would be too much for you if you are dining alone. will definitely come back to this place!

The portions are huge! Though they are known for their florentine steaks, their truffled gorgonzola creamy gnocchi with shaved truffles is a must order! The desserts were just ok, ordered the creme brûlée but it tasted like caramel flan. The service was great just that it can get quite busy and hard to get their attention.

Trattoria Za Za was the best place we dined in Firenze. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere very cozy. The prices were average for the area and the food made it worth every penny. If you are planning to visit Firenze I highly recommend chosing this place for dining. I would also strongly suggest to make a reservation beforehand because those who hadn't made one waited long lines.

We really enjoyed our dinner. The atmosphere is as described and we only had a short wait. It is amazing how large the restaurant is but felt we had great service and enjoyed a rather quiet dinner. Aymen was our server and we appreciated his friendliness and attention. We started with the Greek Salad. We both enjoyed the freshness of the salad. My husband ordered the Veal with Gorgonzola truffle sauce and potatoes. Very tasty. I had the lasagna. It also was delicious. We ended the meal with Expresso and for dessert a rich flourless chocolate cake with mascarpone and strawberries. Rich and decadent. Great meal and beautiful setting.

We didn’t have a reservation, so we waited around 25–30 minutes in line. It’s definitely worth it, but I strongly recommend booking one day in advance, since they always prioritize reservations over walk-ins. This restaurant gets very busy, and now I understand why. Absolutely worth the visit!

We came on a cool September night and sat outside while we enjoyed some cocktail. Cool jazz and r&b soul music. The vibe here is impeccable, from the decor to the music to the energy of the space. We ordered the Royal Garibaldi, and it was fresh, crisp, and so balanced. Definitely a step up from your usual spritz, it’s complex and bright, just like the atmosphere. If you’re in Florence and want to soak in an unforgettable evening with great drinks and even better vibes, this is the place. Can’t recommend it enough.

I visited this place for breakfast. The atmosphere is quite fancy, but pretentious. The coffee was decent, nothing exceptional, and the breakfast itself looked elegant but didn’t stand out in terms of taste or quality. The staff were polite, though not particularly warm, and overall the service felt a bit cold. In general, it wasn’t a bad experience, but nothing memorable either. I don’t think I would choose this place again if I’m back in town.

i would give ⭐⭐⭐ for the food but ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the service! the waiter was really fun and we came earlier ahead of our reservation (we visited the place 2 days before our reservation to make one) and he served us prosecco which was really appreciated. however, felt like the food can be improved. the fried zucchini flower is our favorite, it's light, crispy and lightly salted. duck ragu pappardelle is good although not the tastiest. we feel that the rabbit is a bit tough and the sauce is too tomato-ey which is not our preference. tiramisu is quite light and creamy, pretty good. do reserve in advance as the place is really busy.

It is not a hype to visit Vini e Vecchi Sapori while you're in Florence. One of a kind place with vibrant vibe, amazing staff and extra delicious food which varies between days. Be sure to have a reservation as it is almost impossible to go there without one. I made it the day before the actual visit, while exploring the city I visited osteria to make a reservation. Staff is just simply amazing amd helpful. On the actual day I was welcomed and seated as per reservation. I tried spinach, Ravioli and espresso (no cappuccino here). Ravioli with ricotta, spinach and pink sauce was really straight from another world. Simply don't miss the place, no words needed to describe the whole experience and fun there.

my #1 restaurant/meal in the world!!!! i had visited vini e vecchi 8 years ago and had the best dinner ever - we ordered 13 plates of food for 3 people, and then reordered all our favorites for a total of 19 plates that night. for years i have recommended it to friends and anxiously awaited my return. it was so good the first time that i was truly nervous - what if it didn’t live up to the memory!! well, it did - and then some🥲 you know in the film ratatouille when the food critic takes a bite and is transported to his childhood, watching his mom preparing ratatouille for him, before zooming back into real time and a single tear falling down his cheek? that is the experience i had returning to this incredible place. quite literally tears of joy when i put the first bite of pasta in my mouth!!! sincere, heartfelt service and the most comfortable, warm vibe in the dining room. the pasta is simply the best you can get anywhere! i am a pasta connoisseur - seriously i ordered 4 pastas each day that we visited - and nothing will ever beat this. this experience was the highlight of my italy trip and the team here made it better than i could’ve dreamt. thank you so much for everything, i can’t wait to return 🥲 ❤️

Vini e Vechi Sapori was one of our favorite restaurants in Florence. You can feel the true local vibe when you walk into the place and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. We arrived around 12:45pm on a Monday with no reservation but they happily sat us (party of 2) without having to wait. We were grateful as we know this restaurant can be very busy and hard to get into without a reservation. We ordered the pappardelle duck ragu, ravioli ricotta and spinach rose, meatballs in tomato sauce with spinach, and house red wine. Everything we ate surpassed expectations. My favorite dish was the pappardelle duck ragu and my wife’s favorite was the rose ravioli with ricotta and spinach. We would love to come back the next time to try more of the wonderful dishes they offer. I highly recommend putting this place on your list to try while in Florence and don’t forget to make a reservation! Seems like making a reservation a week in advanced for small groups is ideal, especially for dinner.

On our last night in Italy, we had the BEST meal ever at a charming restaurant. Fede and the staff made us feel like we were dining at a friend's home. The duck ragu and beef ragu were absolutely mind-blowing, rich with flavor and perfectly cooked. The filet with peppercorn sauce and lamb chops were equally impressive, cooked to perfection and bursting with deliciousness. My husband couldn't believe I ate ALL of my two dishes. He was hoping for a few bites to share. We relied on the staff's recommendations, and they did not disappoint! The camaraderie among the patrons was infectious, leading us to sing along to Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline." It truly was the highlight of our trip, and I only wish we had discovered this gem sooner!

We reserved for the next day at 2pm, reached early and was made to wait outside til 230pm. 👎🏻They are very overbooked and the place is so squeezy. Atmosphere is fun and noisy. The beef steak (medium rare) is great, tender and juicy. This is very filling for two pax (55€, 1kg) even though the waitress told us 1kg is not enough for one. Can even be shared among three people. The pasta is also great. The pear dessert is very sweet and sour. Overall, the food is recommendable, but service is slow (15 mins after seated to take order and then more time for food). They are definitely understaffed. Clean toilet though.

The atmosphere is warm and cozy, making you feel at home the moment you walk in. The service was outstanding, and a special shoutout to Fidan, who was incredibly helpful with recommendations, kind, and made sure we had an amazing time from start to finish. Highly recommend this place is a gem!

Get. The. Florentino. Stake. IT’S SO GOOD!! The service was amazing, we were there the previous night and there were no tables available so one of the servers told us to make a reservation for the next day and we did, we didn’t have to wait at all! The food is just phenomenal and if you can get one thing from the menu, make sure it’s the Truffle pasta. We also got the a bottle of the wine of the house and let me tell you… it’s a lot for two people lol, but good anyways! Would def come back, loved the experience and the food was great.

Very very great food, recommended by our landlord, so it’s totally authentic. But don’t go there spontaneously, better to reserve in advance. And we feel a bit pressured to order food fast, but we need a bit time to figure out the dishes in Italien menu as visitors/non-italiens.

One of my most favorite restaurants in Florence. The food was very delicious. Their Bistecca alla Fiorentina was well prepared. Pasta, salad, and side dishes we had were also tasty. Their house wine was too good to be just house wine. The price is fair and worth every bite. The service is very nice with friendly owner and staff. Strongly recommend. BUT you need to book the table in advance. They are popular.

I had the best steak of my entire life — and I’m not even a steak person. This local gem absolutely deserves the hype, so make sure to book in advance (I called ahead!). The filet mignon? Thick, tender, flavorful, and zero gaminess. It melted in my mouth and sent my happiness levels through the roof. I’ve never loved steak this much — I could eat this again and again without ever getting tired of it. The warm atmosphere, attentive service, and that beautiful glass of Chianti Classico… perfection. Italy, with its unbeatable food, wine, and gelato — how could anyone not fall in love with it?💖

The stake was bit of dissapointment, since everyone here have been praising it. Not as good as one we had in Lucca, which really melted in mouth. White beans in red sauce were excellent. Be aware, they charge u 2€/person for bred they brought without even asking. They do this in southern Portugal a lot, but this was first time for me in Italy.

I’Brindellone — come for the food, stay for the atmosphere. We needed a reservation for dinner, and it was absolutely worth the planning. The dining room was a perfect mix of tourists and locals, which is always a good sign (and makes for great people-watching). The food was consistently good — hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a classic Florentine trattoria. Every time my husband and I go to Florence we make sure we make a reservation to go to the I'Brindellone. The food is absolutely delicious, every dish is perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making for a truly memorable dining experience.

Trattoria da Burde is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the journey. Located in the outskirts of Florence, this place is where locals go for a hearty, traditional meal. The atmosphere is simple and warm – no frills, just good food and good people. I ordered the pappa al pomodoro and the bollito misto, a variety of boiled meats served with sauces. Everything was rustic and deeply satisfying. The ingredients were clearly top-notch, and the kitchen doesn’t cut corners. The staff were welcoming and happy to walk us through the menu. We felt like guests in someone’s home. Prices were fantastic – around €30 per person for a full meal with wine. It’s a great spot if you want to explore beyond the city center and experience a slower pace. There's a sense of culinary history here, and you can tell the recipes have been passed down through generations. If you love traditional food done right, this is a must-visit. Definitely one of the most memorable meals we had in Florence.

Despite being located far away from the city centre, we were really happy to experience good local food at this lovely restaurant and it was worth it at the end of the day. Service is perfect, the team showed us great hospitality - and explained everything to us tourists. We got the chance to try out various different types of food, which were delicious. I’m definitely coming back. Delicious food, service was great. I didn’t feel rushed to order, eat or leave. The filetto was unbelievably tender. It does come with some fat and nerves, but honestly, you don’t want to overwork such high quality meat. Cold cuts and cheese were amazing. Wine by the glass was also insanely good. My only regret was not having someone to share a bistecca fiorentina with. I saw a few reviews complaining about the food or service. I’m not trying to make excuses or say they’re wrong, maybe it was just a busy day or something. My experience was excellent.

Overall great. Original atmosphere. A place for locals. The Fiorentina was nicely done. House wine very drinkable. However, the service was unwelcoming and raw at first. The place was 2/3 empty for a very late lunch; we had a reservation, but got by far the worst table, half into a passage towards the kitchen, because the rest was obviously already prepared for the next day. The annoying Germans we can be 😎, we forced our way towards a better table. (Just insist!) In the end, our waiter even warmed up a bit, after we ordered one dessert after the other.

The food here was absolutely exceptional! Such a unique range of pizzas, and the tuna steak was outstanding - seared to perfection and extremely tender! Service was a bit slow to begin as they were busy, but once we ordered, everything was quick to arrive. This restaurant was filled only with locals, so I would recommend to anyone wanting a traditional Italian dinner

We went here because it was super close to our airBnB and we were pleasantly surprised! For an appetizer we had the salon tartare, then for main a pizza and a cacio e pepe - this one i cannot recommend enough. So creamy and flavorful. For dessert the pistachio cannoli is incredible. Service is great as well, in the end we paid around 40 per person including a bottle of wine.

I loved the pizza and the atmosphere, but I would recommend to make a reservation before you go especially on weekends I went there with no reservations and had to wait 30 mins, people came after me they told them they are fully booked And it was true , the place is crowded, but it’s worth it

Ask for Esmerald. He was a really great server and very attentive. We only speak English and it was great having him interpret for us. The food was amazing. I had pizza and my wife had the fish with bone marrow- the food was just outstanding. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

Despite the slightly lower ratings on Google, we came here on the recommendation of our AirBnB host. It was our best dinner in Firenze. The food was good. The staff that served us was wonderful. The lighting and the atmosphere was great. They had a good collection of wines on the menu and were knowledgeable about them as well. The portion for the dessert was a bit too small and I would say that the pricing was maybe 10-20% more than what it should be. They do have a great location. Slightly secluded and away from the hustle bustle. Just the right kind for a lovely dinner.

The service was good when they came at our table - however it was very hard to make eye contact to the point where it felt like we were being actively ignored. One of the most incredible dining experiences I have ever had. They are on the Michelin list but I think that doesn’t describe how wonderful, inventive, and chic this establishment is! They truly deserve a Michelin star or two or three! Food, vibes, cocktails, staff, all incredible.

Italian/Western/“modern” twist on fine dining Chinese cuisine. Very strong artistic direction in the food, experience and interior design. The staff are excellent and it is clear that every dish, and moment is passionately cared for. I had ‘meat’ tasting menu with tasting wine. Wine pairing in line with the creative concept. An excellent experience with also a creative sense of humour. Highlights for me, beef muscle starter (long cook Chinese spice beef with modern start twist) , (gold) soup dumpling and the fun candy inspired Yoyoi Kusama salad - the latter paired with a tuscany mango-peach white wine. For me personally as an asian, I would like to see stronger chinese confidence in the flavours - it is there but I think it can be bolder! I would guess the main clientele is not yet used to strong asian flavours + knowledge. I enjoy this tension however. “Ethnic” food is always some form of negotiation. Deserving of a Michelin star. This restaurant is a real gem in Florence. It is a Modern creative Chinese Experience. The tasting menu pairing with cocktails will be blow your mind. The Chef is so pasionate, the whole experience was incredible. Highly recomended.

As interesting as it is for a couple of Americans to travel to Florence to eat a dim sum tasting menu, there were absolutely zero regrets. Everything from the atmosphere, taste and service were perfect. I love how the chef came to our table and spoke about her childhood and how it inspired the dishes. You can definitely feel a child like nostalgia come out from the presentation. Everything was incredibly playful. I went into this experience with not having a pallet for sea food, and I am happy to say this changed it for me. This restaurant made me LOVE seafood. The highlight was definitely the sea bass and the sea urchin bao which I would’ve never believed to say before. If you are in Florence, this is definitely a must try. Congratulations for making it on the Michelin guide and I cannot wait to watch the restaurant grow in popularity.

One of the more interesting Michelin awardees that I have experienced this trip. The setting is elegant and the concoction of Chinese dim sum-inspired dishes (360 degree Fantasy tasting menu) is nothing less than fun and invigorating. The owner is hospitable and a casual chat revealed that she was in fashion industry, which explains the coutour-ish food presentation. The cocktail pairing is great but I presume Chinese tea pairing would be exquisite! Service is impeccable and we all had a wonderful evening at the dining table.

We are very disappointed with the food. We have ordered two degustazione menu and one bottle of wine. In total we paid 200+ for 2 people. I like their service, people are super nice, and the interior design very cool, you can tell they have good taste in plating as well. But, the food quality should be improved. Egg tart crust is not crispy but dry and hard, and the filling is still in a liquid state; lobster is not very fresh; their pan fried bao used to be my favorite in Xinge Gogo, but not here, the bottom is very soft. My favorite dish is the Shanghai fish, I would recommend!

I randomly went into this after seeing a crowd waiting in line to get inside.. fortunately they had a place for one, but don’t push your luck, better reserve a table if you’re planning to eat here.. I ordered Florentine Steak (1 kg), that I had shared with the couple on the next table! It was a fun experience! The steak was good, but to be honest, not the best I had ever ate.. not even the best in the city.. I want to love it but I’m not sure whether it’s worth a reservation to this restaurant.. anyway the waiter was very friendly and the place was nice.. I’d come again but I’d get something else! Many intriguing Tuscan dishes that interesting!

Holy heck. Researched this place online and heard it had some of the best Tuscan food in Florence and man, was this correct. It was our last night here and we just had to try everything 😂 first off, it was a quaint little family owned place. Such sweet people and the door kept opening with new customers, which spoke a lot about this place. We offered an appetizer with meats and cheeses, Florentine steak, peposo, and pasta with a duck ragu sauce and it was to die for 🤤 everything was so delicious. 10/10! I recommend make a reservation in advance!

This is a must visit place in Florence! Fantastic food, great atmosphere and welcoming staff. We walked there exactly at 7:00pm for their dinner time without knowing that a reservation has to be made. The staff managed to get us a table within a couple of minutes, we were truly thankful. The food was fantastic, their pasta and sauces are just delectable. Their tiramisu was divine super light and just the right amount of sweetness after a hearty meal. Everything they serve, you can tell that love was added to their recipes.

This place was really authentic! We saw so many locals eat here which is definitely a good sign. We got some anchovies, the t-bone steak with some potatoes and salad, and a tiramisu. Everything was pretty good! I think my favorite thing from the whole dinner was the tiramisu. Service was good. The restaurant was pretty busy so everything took longer than expected, but it wasn’t really an issue, because we were just enjoying the atmosphere of the place! There was a line to get a table, but we had a reservation, so they sat us right away. Overall, not bad.

a local family run restaurant, good prices for Firenze, with truditional​ Tuscan food. Their sage butter ravioli with a side of white beans (for a bit of protein) was amazing. The ravioli was so thing yet still a bit al-dente. Enjoyed every bite, it was delicate yet full of flavour, so simple and so perfect. That alongside the house wine (chianti), is all you really need in life. and Tiramisu

We are so happy that our class introduced us to Teatro del Sale & the Sant'Ambrogio neighborhood. As study abroad students, we were grateful to get an authentic Florence experience. Although we did not get the chance to see a live show, we were able to see the beautiful stage and interior, and enjoy some of the best food! We loved how passionate everyone was about their job and Florence in general. We can't wait to go back and catch a show!

Such a wonderful experience at Teatro del Sale! The food was amazing and a perfect way to try lots of different Italian dishes as a tourist. The whole dining experience felt like a show in itself, and the live performance after the meal made the evening even more special. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and we had a great time even though we don’t speak Italian. We shared a table with lovely people and learnt a little more about Italian culture. It really was an unforgettable evening. For reference, it’s about £65 per person for non-members (£50 for members), with wine charged separately. You definitely won’t leave hungry! Highly recommend.

Teatro del Sale is the real highlight of a class trip I took with ISI Florence. The vibe here was so unique—part restaurant, part cultural hub. We had a delicious appetizer platter with fresh homemade bread, accompanied by prosecco to toast to the experience. It was the perfect balance of food, community, and creativity all wrapped into one. You really feel like you're a part of something special. If you're looking to step away from the tourist crowds and dive into Florence’s authentic side, Sant’Ambrogio Neighborhood is where you’ll find it. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.

I was proud to introduce Teatro del Sale in Florence to my international friends, having cherished its unique format years ago. Back then, it offered a vibrant experience: chefs cooking live, food roasting on the spit, the wood-fired oven in full use, and a generous tasting menu. Returning after five years, I was disappointed to find that much of that charm was gone. The food offering was minimal, the live cooking absent, and prices had increased significantly — around 40% more for the meal and 50% more for the membership. I felt sorry for my friends, as the experience fell far short of what I had enthusiastically described.

The Club has really changed over the years and I have been there 4 or 5 times. It used to offer wine in the waiting area without charge and breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffet dinner has been most popular. The food is interesting and varied and they now only serve dinner a few nights per week. There are volunteer helpers. After dinner they used to push back tables and move chairs close. No longer. The show included 3 messily dressed and acting players. The music and singing was good but the male was acting stupid. We did not sit throught the entire performance. Disappointing evening. I will not return.

We were taken here with a group for a dinner and an Italian folk music (and dancing) show. The dinner experience was fantastic with a bell being rung for each couse followed by an announcement of what it entailed. Memberships and reservations are required for these special events, but totally worth it!

Teatro del sale is a culture institution in town and if you want to spend an incredible dinner with outstanding food and enjoy music or show this is the right place. Membership cost you only €15 and all you can eat food €35 excl drinks. It sounds expensive,but what you get in return is pure quality throughout. It was pne of the most amazing discovery in Florence!

When we decided to visit Italy, we made a special stop in Florence for one reason, to dine at Cibreo. We were lucky enough to get a reservation for our last night in the city, and while I wouldn’t call it fate, it truly felt like the perfect ending to our time in Florence. From the moment we stepped inside, we were surrounded by an atmosphere of beauty and intention. Every detail of the décor seemed designed to captivate the senses, setting the stage for what would become one of the most unforgettable meals of our trip. When our food arrived, it was hard to put into words what we experienced. Each dish was so thoughtfully and masterfully executed that the only thing I could do was close my eyes and savor the incredible flavors dancing across my palate. From our table, we had a direct view of the kitchen, and it was like watching an orchestra in perfect harmony, each movement precise and graceful. The same sense of artistry carried into the front of house, led by a truly remarkable woman named Cristina. Cristina, even with a full house, you made every single guest feel as though they were the only one who mattered. Your warmth and grace made the evening feel truly magical. If you ever find yourself in Florence, treat yourself to Cibreo. It will be the best meal you have in the city. And if you cannot make it to the main restaurant, stop by the café. The tagliolini is the best I have ever had, and it is no surprise that this dish was named among the 25 best Italian pasta dishes by The New York Times.

A true and authentic Italian restaurant and that while it’s known by tourists it’s the locals place to go. Food is 5 stars. Wine is so incredible. You will not regret. Oso Bucco is the best.

The food was good. The service was not. I have not experienced a less warm welcome or dining experience in all of Italy than I did here. The staff failed to even execute offering a second glass of wine to my wife and I. It was bad enough that one member of the party thought the wait staff just didn’t like us and wasn’t willing to serve us like other customers. I wish I would have gone somewhere else- but at least the food saved the experience. I would choose any of the hundreds of restaurants that can cook just as well but treat you well - especially at this price point.

This was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in Italy! Almost everything we ordered was completely tasteless. How is it possible to find a better vitello tonnato in Brussels than in Florence? My starter of prawns with cocktail sauce was the only decent dish — though it’s hard to go wrong with prawns and cocktail sauce! The mushroom fish, on the other hand, was completely bland, with watery beans and a nearly raw, unseasoned mushroom. I lost my appetite so much that I didn’t even feel like trying dessert.

Splendid Friday fine dining experience in this exquisite restaurant which is traditional and non-traditional at the same time. We went there for the pigeon which I had there around 4 years ago, but I had overlooked that pigeon is a seasonal product. Now we had some magical fish surprises in the form of shark, cuttlefish and amberjack, which all went very well with the biological Trentino Brusafer light Pinot Nero - with big thanks for the suggestion of the very kind and knowlegable sommelier. What abnice way to start the weekend!

Perfect dining experience for our party of 8 plus a toddler and an infant. They were warm, inviting and the food was delicious. After days of heavy Tuscan food, Cucina’s dishes were a welcomed change. Everything was seasonal, light and unexpected but never pretentious. Also the dining room is beautiful with views into the kitchen. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something off the beaten path.

It was an incredible experience. The food is phenomenal, decided daily based on what’s fresh in the market which is a very challenging feat. I ordered a second plate of my main dish because I just had to have more! The staff are incredibly genuine and warm. Mostly local clientele. Prices are very acceptable, non-touristy. Definitely worth the food quality and amount.

Best food we had in Florence! Such a beautiful cool restaurant tucked away from Florence’s hectic centre. Small menu full of unexpected combinations but that felt rooted in traditional Italian cooking. Staff were also extremely friendly and patient explaining each dish in English for us. Really delicious wine and really good value for a special meal.

Interesting place. Very nicely presented restaurant and friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere in a quiet street. This would be an ideal place to meet up with friends and share tampas-like snacks. I am only giving 3 stars as, personally, l found the portions too small - especially for sharing. Also, the price of a simple dish based on shredded white cabbage (€12) was almost the same as that for sardelle in saor (€14) - which was nice, but only four sardelle: not much to share. Just my personal opinion - the reviews show others think differently.

Superb lunch Food was superb and the service was thoughtful - we were passing through on the way to the airport and had one of our finest lunches in Florence. The combinations were refreshing with each dish seeming to have a wonderful twist or surprise. Beautifully balanced but impactful flavours. For some reason, I kept seeing videos of All'Antico Vinaio pop up on my social media, and luckily we were able to check it out in Florence. When we arrived and saw the line stretching down the street, we really hoped it was worth the hype. And it absolutely was! This has to be one of the best places for a quick and delicious sandwich in all of Italy. The service is incredibly efficient, and the line moves by so fast that you'll have your amazing sandwich in your hands before you know it. If you're in Florence and looking for a quick, delicious lunch, you need to check this place out. Don't let the line scare you—it's part of the experience and it goes by quick!

Can't believe i didn't know about this shop when i stumbled upon it. Saw a crowd moving towards that direction and felt something. My group was hungry and decided to follow the crowd. And woooow we were decently surprised by the queue and googled it. That's when i found out about this world famous joint. The sandwich was worth the 20mins wait in the queue. Had time to look at the menu anyway. Had a great sandwich full of meat for dinner. Had to share with a friend cause i can't finish on my own, it was that big. There are drinks, limited seats and table in the back of the shop and upstairs too, but eating it on the street had a different feeling. 5 Star and a must eat on my list when visiting Firenze.

I've been looking forward to trying the famous schiacciata sandwiches of Florence, and so I thought it was best to try the most popular one: All'Antica Vinaio. There's a long line even late in the afternoon, but it moves quickly and we got to order in about 10 minutes of waiting. The servers were very friendly, and they had our orders ready in a few minutes. Each sandwich was huge—enough for two people to share one. The filling was very good and delicious, especially "La Paradiso," which had generous slices of mortadella and slathered with creamy stracciatella cheese and pistachio cream. However, the schiacciatta itself was tough and hard. No matter how good the filling was, it was still a pain to eat it. I couldn't finish the entire sandwich in one sitting, so I brought it home, stored it in the fridge, and ate it the next day. Guess what? The bread became softer and easier to bite through. I enjoyed it more the second day even if it wasn't made fresh anymore. 😅

My husband and I ate here for lunch on our first day in Florence! It was a last minute decision because the sandwich shop we were going to go to turned out to be closed on Sundays. Luckily for us this worked in our favor! The line was very long, but the staff is so quick with their service and it moved very fast! I ordered the paradiso and recommend it to anyone that stops by!

Well what can I say, it lived up to all the hype, sandwiches were packed full of meat and flavours, top tip is to go later in the evening as it's super busy in the day time. We had the Mortadella, pesto and cheese on a warm focaccia it was truly a taste sensation. We went on the last day and had their specials La Bosco, which was Porchetta, Teleggio cheese and porcini paste absolutely incredible!!

Incredibly delicious and fresh sandwiches genuinely the best I've ever had and I'm not usually a fan of sandwiches. The pistachio one was divine, the pistachio pesto was amazing and if I had time would have gone back to try more as there are so many options to choose from!! The bread is also so fresh you can see the staff carrying it to the shop and it's also warm!!! This is clearly a very popular place for good reason and they have very cleverly opened 3 stores so that wait times are very short. We also ordered one of the truffle ones and it is definitely very potent..

Great experience!!!! They open 7:30-10:30. Try to make a reservation. It was a weekday and we got sit fast. I was with my wife and we order Family feast tip of dinner, it’s called “Menu Degustazione”. 8 different appetizers and Main Event- Steak. You have an option of 60 euros Per Person for regular Steak; 70 euros Per Person for T-bone. And also same appetizers and Florentine T-Bone Steak 130 per Person. It was our 25th anniversary and we choose Florentine ( not every day in Florence right?!). They give you a Signed Certificate with all the info about that steak. All the Steaks are RARE. Please don’t ask for anything else ! Amazing taste. I’ll put a regular menu and dessert menu along with pictures of the food. Wine list is huge. Red and white wine, 750 ml and 1 page of 375 ml. Prices vary from 20 to 2000 euros. Enjoy!!!

We were in Italy for three weeks and dined out every single night. This was hands-down, our favorite meal. The veal chop is sublime… Literally the best veal chop I have ever had in my life! Make sure you come very hungry because the portions are huge! Reservations are an absolute must.

An iconic restaurant in Florence! Reservations are a must - the line starts forming right at opening time, so be sure to book in advance. While it’s known for its traditional Florentine steak, the menu offers so much more. Just keep in mind - the steak portions are impressively large! The service is outstanding, with excellent wine recommendations and friendly, engaging conversation. One of those unforgettable nights in Florence. My sincere recommendation!

I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, I had the best steak of my life there, the staff are super friendly and attentive, you feel like you’re part of their family. The vibe is great, the food is amazing and the staff are wonderful. I only tried their steak but their pasta seemed delicious too, I also tried their cantucci for dessert which was delicious. I’ve been friend with Emilia an her parents the owners for a lifetime, I then met Christian who runs this special place together with his wife Emilia and every time I come back it feels like coming home. Il Latini It’s not just a restaurant, but a place where the hospitality is warm and genuine. The dishes carry the authentic flavors of tradition, prepared with truly wholesome ingredients and with a care you can taste from the very first bite. The quality is always outstanding: simple, honest, and full of character — exactly as it should be. A place that never disappoints, where you eat well and feel even better.

Definitely worth visiting this restaurant for a yummy meal! Be sure to book in advance online as they are very popular! We adored both of the meals we chose- the sirloin steak with mushrooms and the wild boar pasta - wow. We got T-Bone steak envy every time someone ordered them- so, if you’ve got the € and friends to help eat it- highly recommend that too!

It was terrible. Our reservation was for 7:30. They seat the whole restaurant at the same time so it takes them time to get to everyone and take an order. We ordered two sirloin steaks and grilled vegetables. We got the worst steak I have ever had served COLD and chewy. I think those steaks were waiting to be served at least 30 min to get that cold. The grilled vegetables were wilted tasteless a mostly charred. Felt like zucchini skins and old eggplants were dried on the grill. It was disappoint beyond imagination. We asked for the check and at the register when asked, we described our experience. They blamed us of not telling the waiter in a timely manner and offered to cook us another steak “really quickly”. No thank you !! we paid and left.

Visited in March 2013 - I slipped in at the very tail end of Sunday lunch, a lucky seat on a coffee table in the corner while families lingered over their courses. The room buzzed with three generations sharing the ceremony of weekend dining - a joy to watch as much as to join. I went straight for their signature raviolini with pecorino and pear, a dish flagged in Frommers and Lonely Planet. It was almost perfect: pasta delicate, pear subtle, pecorino seasoning just shy of brilliance (9.5/10). Lamb chops with artichokes and rocket brought good quality meat and crisp coating, though it wanted more seasoning; the artichokes were spot-on (8/10). Dessert was Laura’s recommendation - raspberry cheesecake, creamy yet sharp, crumb with a hint of savoury, a lovely close with espresso (8.5/10). Coquinarius hits that balance of stylish but relaxed, where you can watch the rhythm of Florentine family life unfold around the food.

The pear ravioli was as delicious, and unique. The filletto was the best steak I ate while in Florence, and the seasonal mushrooms were a solid add-on.

I wasn't very impressed by this place, it's definitely very geared towards tourists. It was a recommended restaurant, but I found it to be lacking. The menu was limited the food was mediocre. The food felt very heavy in my stomach even the next day and I did not enjoy it. It seems the owner does not like when people leave honest reviews, even questioning whether people actually ate there or not, but I can assure you that I did eat there and you probably shouldn't.

We came to here for dinner. The atmosphere was great 👍 The swordfish carpaccio, paired with salad greens, fresh fennel, and pink grapefruit, was exquisite — the peppercorns added a delightful burst of flavor with each bite. The main course, Millefoglie di Cecina, a refined tower of codfish layered with chickpeas, spinach, and a velvety purple cabbage purée, proved to be another remarkable surprise The beef tenderloin, paired with foie gras, created a perfect harmony of flavors on the palate

visited Vivoli and really enjoyed the dessert—the presentation was beautiful, topped with plenty of pistachios, and the flavor was rich and delicious. The atmosphere felt authentic and the staff were friendly. We were able to find a table. However, the prices were on the expensive side, so it may not be the best option if you're looking for something budget-friendly. Still, it's a nice place to try a traditional treat in Florence.

Vivoli is an amazing gelato spot! The gelato is incredibly creamy, rich, and full of flavor. The flavors are classic but perfectly executed, and every bite is a delight. The shop is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect stop for a sweet treat. Definitely one of the best gelato experiences I’ve had.

YUP! This one's good. I dont normally give 5 star reviews because places need to wow me, but the affogato here really wowed me. I don't normally drink coffee, I dont even really like espresso but I will eat desserts with coffee in it. The creamy Gelato mixed with the espresso was such a nice combination. My avid coffee drinking friend did say it was on the sweeter side and she likes it less sweet, a note for those who like it less sweet. The Gelato here was good too!

After being disappointed by a viral sandwich shop the day before, we were a little hesitant about trying Vivoli, but it totally lived up to the hype. We decided to go right when they opened at 8am thinking a) there won't be a line and b) affogato counts as breakfast because there is coffee in it. Well joke was on us because there was already a line formed when we arrived on Friday morning at 8:05am. Once they opened the doors the line moved quickly and we were elbow deep in caffeine and gelato by 8:20am. There is a small seating area in the back but that filled up pretty much right away so we enjoyed our affogato while standing outside. Both flavors were good but the pistachio is an absolute must in my opinion.

We loved the pistachio affogato! Classic was good too but preferred the salty nutty flavour with the sweet vanilla gelato. Great location across from a Ukrainian Catholic Church which was playing some lovely music. We enjoyed a coffee sitting on the curb on the street with everyone else. Was a pleasant atmosphere.

Vivoli Gelato absolutely lives up to its reputation. Their affogato is on another level rich, smooth espresso poured over incredibly creamy gelato. The balance of flavors is perfect, and you can tell everything is made with real Italian quality. It’s a simple dessert, but here it tastes unforgettable.

Absolutely delicious! Was walking from the train station towards our hotel and saw a small lineup of people in front of an unassuming sign. We stopped and googled the spot and read the reviews. We decided to stop and wait the 10 minutes to open. So happy that we waited. The food was delish. They don't take reservations and only open for lunch, so come early. Totally worth it. Not fancy. Simple delicious food and full of character. Both from the servers and the decor. We loved it so much that we came the next day as well but had to wait 45 minutes.

This is a genuine, no-frills trattoria serving simple and delicious Florentine dishes. Prices are very affordable, especially given the quality and the central location. The handwritten, compact menu focuses on traditional specialties and seasonal ingredients, which shows authenticity and consistent quality (and a good sign that it's not a tourist trap!) They've been in business for over a century, long before Florence became overwhelmed with tourists. As it's popular with locals, it can get really busy, but I would gladly return to dine at this humble spot.

Lunch only, best trattoria in Firenze. My wife and I first came here from a recommendation in 2012 and had a memorable meal. We have returned to Florence just to let our kids taste this restaurants Florentine steak and it did not disappoint. The perfectly cooked steak with strong charring is hard to compare to other restaurants. Our steak was 1.1kg and fed 3 of us with a side of fries for the kids. Tearattoria Sergio Gozzi has been operating since 1915 and the restaurant charm is the simplicity and authenticity of Tuscany. Service charge is €2/person and we'll worth it

Wonderful find while wandering through Florence. We figured it had to be good if they had a line of people down the street waiting for it to open. We were not wrong on our assumption. We had some wonderful ravioli, mostachili. My son ordered the largest steak I have seen and it was amazing! It is only served rare, they bring out the steak so you can see the marbling. We enjoyed the Chianti great food and atmosphere. Definatly stop if you are in the area. Highly recommend!!!

The food was just ok. Honestly, the peposo was stringy and very salty. I cannot believe so many people raved about it on line. The ravioli and steak were ok. Really anted to like this place, but I believe there are WAY better restaurants in Florence. Don’t waste your limited meals.

The absolute real deal. Was recommended this place from my local tour guide, he comes here with his parents. I see why. Super authentic, and tastes absolutely homemade. I had the ribollita.. delicious flavor and I ate every bite. Also had the ravioli (ricotta and spinach) with meat sauce. Ravioli was a slightly salty for my taste, but the meat sauce was fantastic. So much depth and flavor. Finished it off with the profiterole, which was so yummy: homemade and super high-quality ingredients. My accompanying cappuccino was a little strong, I prefer more milk, but otherwise I will absolutely will be coming back here next time I come to Florence, and will be recommending to anyone I know visiting.

We had a great quick lunch here. They do not serve food you would find all over Florence for tourists like pizza and pasta. But serve what we feel is more authentic Florentine fare. The chicken meatballs was the real star of the meal, they were tender and the pomodoro tomato sauce was a great balance of tartness and sweetness. We will definitely visit again just because of this dish! The veal tripe salad was quite light and refreshing and had a light pickle taste that we liked. The vegetable lasagne and beef stew compared to the rest of the dishes were quite regular but still really yummy. All in all it was a wonderful and tasty meal, we will definitely be back the next time we visit Florence!

Where locals go! Outstanding! Try the bacalao de la cassi and lasagna. Small locale with friendly staff. A short walking distance from the Central Market. Seating inside and outside. Recommend reservations or walk-in before 2 pm. Highly recommended

The food was good, not remarkable but good. The reason for the review was the service. We ordered 2 appetizers and 3 entrees to share as a party of four. The staff acted upset that we asked for things to be brought when ready so we can share. I think they interpreted that we meant everything at the same time. But even still it shouldn’t be a particularly big deal. They treated us rudely for the remainder of the dinner.

La Trattoria is very cozy and nice for lunch. I would definitely try the other Cibreo establishments but they are all around the same corner. In a less touristy neighborhood of Florence which is great as well!

The Trattoria is the second Cibrèo restaurant we try (they have three different types) and we are again more than happy with our decision. It's a great example of local cuisine with different daily options, surprising and making the choice even harder. Both times we visited we tried different dishes and we were happy with our choice. I'd recommend the succulent tartar, the cold veal tripe salad (surprising and tasty), and the pesto lasagna from the main menu. If there are pork liver with lemon and veal with tuna sause in the daily menu, do try them! Ask for the pear cheesecake from the desserts. It's not on the menu but if they have it, it's great - refreshing, not too sweet but with memorable pear taste. The service is very attentive, patient and friendly. We didn't have reservations but the place is small so it's a good idea to call in advance. The prices are reasonable and perfect for the quality, food, authentic atmosphere and service we got.

Authentic Florentino food. Try the Lampredotto, it's surprisingly good. On the downside, the restaurant can get a bit noisy.

Mediocre quality food. I could not finish the fish special. The salami of the day was okay. The house wine was good. The service was okay. No way this should be considered a 4 star place. I think Michelin and The Fork focus on ambiance more than food quality and service. I would not recommend going out of the way to go to this place. The pumpkin soup was good. The rest was mediocre.

The best way to describe our experience at Zeb was unique. I’m glad I read the reviews beforehand, as they helped me better understand Chef Alberto’s eccentric style. The environment feels quite cold and formal, almost school-like, while his authoritative approach draws you into his particular world of dining. There’s little time for pleasantries, discussion, or deliberation over the menu, though he may show more patience for Italian-speaking guests. Despite this unusual style of service, there’s something novel and enjoyable about it if you approach it with an open mind and a lighthearted attitude. I can understand the review of some diners who were clearly caught off guard. Above all, the food was excellent. We chose a mix of classic favorites and dishes new to us, and were very pleased with our selections. I also thought the pricing was fair.

My husband and I went here for our last night in Florence and we were blown away. Incredible dishes at a more than fair price with an eccentric, but laid back atmosphere. This place is ran by a mother and son duo that has exquisite taste in cuisine. I had the pear ravioli to start and cow tongue for the main. I’m usually not that adventurous with meat, but that was one of the best beef dishes I’ve ever had. Be sure to make a reservation here on your next trip to Florence, you will not be disappointed!

A great evening in the ZEB restaurant, sitting relaxed at the bar, the chef explaining the handwritten menu on a blackboard to each guest. We were completely thrilled when the first course arrived, perfect, no frills, and so it went through the whole menu. The champagne fridge is well stocked and also carries Jacques Selosse. The wines are perfectly selected and very well sorted. We were absolutely thrilled and came back the next day. Many thanks to the team, it was a great experience.

Zeb is not for the faint of heart. When I put it on my Firenze list, my hyper organized friend armed with spreadsheets and reviews started mumbling about “mixed feedback”. I gave her a look: We’re going. Period. I don’t care what tourists or other reviewers think. If it’s on my list, it has earned its place. Zeb is the kind of spot where you surrender to the experience. There’s a board menu: pay attention, make your choice fast and know your flavors. This is no hand holding, no “what would you recommend?” type of place. It’s very Bourdain - raw, unfussy, bold. The owner himself told me to sit down before he’d even bother reciting the menu. No coddling, no nonsense. Decide quickly, earn his trust and you’ll unlock the good stuff. Seventeen years strong, Zeb doesn’t survive by catering to picky tourists. The vibe is direct, unapologetic, but laced with a kind of old world charm. At first, we got the skeptical “you are a tourist” stare, but once we proved ourselves, the owner cracked the tiniest smile, the kind of approval that says, yes, you get it. And I did. The service was sharp, no pretense and the boldness hooked me. I’ve eaten around the world, worked in the industry as a server, cooked, cook, tasted …I have standards. Zeb delivered! I kicked things off with Cappellacci di Fiori di Zucca in burrata sauce, pillowy clouds of flavor, luscious and creamy, ethereal yet grounded in simplicity. My friend’s Capellaccini di Ricotta e Tartufo with shavings of fresh black truffle were an earthy decadence. One bite and my soul was elevated. We weren’t even hungry, but the first course was so good we had to dive deeper. I went full hedonist as per usual with Lingua in dolceforte, a beef tongue in balsamic reduction with pine nuts - sultry, bold and definitely unforgettable. Paired with Zeb’s own red blend, I was in pure heaven. My vegetarian friend devoured her Melanzana alla Parmigiana with equal satisfaction, and finished with tiramisu that was air-light and balanced for me, though she wanted more sweetness and density. The wines the owner handpicked for me were spot-on and I left with a bottle of his red blend to hopefully recreate the magic at home. Zeb isn’t trying to please everyone and that’s exactly why it works. It’s direct, unapologetic and passionate, the kind of place that doesn’t need to prove itself to you. I left impressed, satisfied and already plotting the Firenze inspired dinner party at home, where I’ll open that bottle.

The best meal on our trip to Italy from first dish to last dish! The ravioli with ricotta and pecorino cheese and a pear sauce aroused my tastebuds, it was that good. We also thought the pesto was mouthwatering. The meatball was delicioso! Perfectly prepared and made with lemon zest. No sauce needed just some olive oil. The eggplant parm was also perfectly prepared. The finish was the best cheesecake I have ever had. Not too rich and a little light with a berry sauce that complimented the cream filling. The owner and his mom were such gracious hosts. The Mom was so sweet. She runs the kitchen. When we complimented her, she was so humble. “This is what I make at home.” Well, I volunteer to be her son, pool boy, or whatever else allows me to dine in her house! My wife and I can’t wait to come back and enjoy the warmth of the owners and staff and dine again at Zeb!

Absolutely divine food and amazing wine. Grazie! Edit: We skipped trip to Pisa just to repeat the experience. The pork ribs were out of this world, peposo hearty and punchy, tiramisu light cloud of happiness. Wines were uncomplicated and spot on, and warmth of service was present throughout. We originally aimed for a fancy venue in different town, but Zeb delivered on the taste and experience without the fuss. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy Tuscany at its finest.

Fantastic food for reasonable prices. Host/owner a little stern, but not rude. Cappellacci di Zucca and the pesto were superb. Ossobuco was good. Place is tiny but was not crowded. Being there with my wife and two teenagers. Might not be adequate for children: most places in a counter with stools.

Absolutely outstanding breakfast spread in the morning. Loads of options from pastries, cheese, granola, Yogurts, breads, spreads, meats as well as fresh egg options that you can order from the kitchen. We also ate lunch in the restaurant upon arrival and really enjoyed their signature pasta and the chicken with fresh vegetables. Service was always attentive and both the dining room and the patio seating have spectacular views of the Ponte Vecchio.

The steak is superior in all possible ways. Tender, tasty and unforgettable. The whole meal experience was great, from the starters, steak and the dessert. Their wine list is also very comprehensive from locals to foreigners. We went for a nice Chianti Riserva, and were not disappointed. Also the second bottle which was a Chianti suggested by the staff, was up to all expectations.

Best steakhouse in Florence, by far. I have been to Tuscany for five times, explored a lot of restaurants, but none has managed to impress me as much as this one when it comes to steak. The true bistecca fiorentina is masterfully cooked here. Fast and excellent service, go for the full tasting experience and pair it with a red Tuscan wine. Will be back for sure. And the cheesecake is the best dessert you can order. Enjoy!

True passion for the Bistecca Alla Fiorentina, this was one of my favorite steakhouse experiences to date. The Fiorentina menu is perfect simplicity, featuring the antipasti tower that had THE freshest meats and crostini spreads I’ve ever had. Then comes the wonderful steak on its brass throne, amazing as always. Finally, ending with a delicious piece of Grandmothers cake made this meal a special experience. The history behind this spot paired with excellent service and staff made Regina Bistecca a definite revisit in the future.

One of the best Arancini I had in my life till now. The young lady behind the counter was so nice and kind. My only regret was not trying their cannoli. If you are going to see the David, make a stop here and trust me you will thank me.

Visited this place based on online recommendations, but I’d suggest skipping it. Surprisingly, there was no queue — which probably should’ve been a sign. The staff was rude. I tried the arancini ball: it was cold, tasted just okay, and cost €3.90. Definitely not worth the price or the stop.

We came for the cannoli, and the cannoli didn’t disappoint! It is filled fresh so the shell remains crunchy. It was a good, quick snack. The shop looked like they had some other yummy dishes as well. Very cute ambiance.

I wasn't hungry for a full meal so I decided to try the arancini as a quick snack before my scheduled tour. This shop was highly reviewed so I thought, perfect option. I ordered 1 spinach filled and a classic arancini which I was told was filled with eggplant. The spinach was by far my favorite and while they were still slightly warm, it would have been perfect had they come freshly made or toasted in the over for maximum crispiness. The second to my surprise, was filled with a type of fish, not eggplant. It was still tasty but not what I was expecting. Service was okay, but it was near the end of the day and their eagerness to welcome customers or address their questions felt lacking. Overall, I was happy that I stopped by and would recommend visiting this little shop.

The squid ink arancino was beautifully flavoured if somewhat high on salt. The cake too was delicious but a bit high on sugar. The pistachio and ricotta ice cream was simply excellent.

Best cannoli I have ever tried anywhere! The filling was amazing and we had to go back another day just to eat one more. The arancini is also one of the best I have ever eaten. We tried the ham and the eggplant one, and as a vegetarian who does not like eggplant, mine was so so good!! I have already recommended this place to so many friends The only down side is that it is a small place, so arrive early if you want a table or you can order to go like many Italians do

I recently visited Gurdulù Gastronomia for a Sunday lunch, and it was an airy, farm-to-table gem. The menu showcased house-made bread and pasta. I particularly enjoyed the terrine, which was excellent. The atmosphere was laid-back yet stylish, enhanced by a great music selection that perfectly complemented the meal. It's a must-visit spot in Florence if you're seeking fresh, innovative takes on Tuscan cuisine.

Innovative dishes that are slightly different and not traditional. If you fancy something authentic, the head elsewhere. However, if you want to try something slightly different then give this place a go. I booked this placed based off various reviews that I've seen off on YouTube and Netflix. I wasn't blown away but it was nice a different. We opted for the A la carte menu, rather than the tasting menu. We had two starters, two mains. This came to around 67 euro.

Heavenly food, wonderful ambiance, and great service! Bread is fantastic, as is the pasta (incredibly creative, I had a dish with black garlic, bottarga, and fava beans)! Love that there's a deli counter as well for a high quality to go meal. Can't wait to try more on the menu next time!

I liked this place and the service was excellent. The food was alright, but didn't blow my mind. Definitely a solid choice if you're looking to try modern Italian cuisine, but not everything on the menu is a big hit like other places I've been in Tuscany

A restaurant for people who like to try new food concepts while still getting a full meal in Florence, this is the place. Excellent service, cocktails and wine I can easily see this place being at least awarded a Michelin plate just for the quality of dishes.

The cold spaghetti were incredible, as well as the carpaccio and the black truffle pasta. The attention was impeccable. So far one of the top restaurants I’ve been in Florence!

The food was good, very tasteful and flavorful, it really shows you why they deserve their stars. My favorite were the olive and the dumpling as appetizer, the pasta and the lobster as main. I think those were my favorites not only as they were delicious, but I also think the Chef took his personal style to create something interesting with the ingredients. The deserts were not my favorites, but I’d still recommend the restaurant for a friend, for sure. Regarding services, our waiter Alex was amazing… it was easy to understand what he explained to us, and he’d answer any follow up questions very easily. We had another waiter that was probably training which impacted the experience, but he was very nice and was trying his best.

Let me start by saying we eaten at many Michelin star restaurants in the US and abroad, we are huge foodies. If I can give this place 1000000 stars I would, it was one of the best meals in our lives!! The experience, service, and atmosphere is amazing as well. We did the 9 course tasting menu and every bite was exceptional from the presentation, to the flavor, textures, and depth!! I was beyond stuffed half way through the meal but couldn’t stop eating! If it is in your budget, do yourself a favor and go and get the 9 course tasting menu!!

I chose the seven-course wine pairing menu, and it was truly exceptional. Each dish was beautifully prepared, and the wines matched every course with remarkable precision. The sea urchin and salted roe pasta was particularly memorable — rich, balanced, and full of depth. It was also my first time trying pigeon, and it was tender and flavorful, without any trace of gaminess. The entire experience lasted about four hours, yet it felt perfectly paced and immersive. After visiting the Uffizi Gallery, enjoying this dinner felt like the most elegant way to unwind. I not only enjoyed every moment but also learned so much about wine pairing throughout the evening.

This afternoon, my wife and I went to a restaurant to celebrate my birthday. We are visiting Florence and chose this two-Michelin-starred restaurant to create a wonderful memory. The service at the restaurant was outstanding, and the two staff members provided us with a flawless dining experience. We ordered the CHEF EXPERIENCE, which consisted of nine courses. However, including the desserts, we ended up enjoying over twenty different dishes. It felt like this culinary feast was endless, filled with constant surprises. Every dish reflected the chef’s dedication, and both the presentation and the flavors, along with their complexity, were absolutely perfect!

Peak fine dining experience. The location alone is one of a kind. Located in the heart of Florence inside Hotel Brunelleschi, in a tower, they have very limited seating. The reservation process alone was an adventure in itself. Our visit was to celebrate 3 Libra birthdays. Our party of 4 opted for the 9 courses. One of us decided to do the wine pairing. When I tell you, there was so much food. We would’ve probably been better off doing the 7 courses, but we wanted to eat everything. We were all falling asleep by the end of the night. One was nonstop yawning. To the unfamiliar, they focus more on seafood. Every dish is out of this world. Down to the presentation. I savored every bite. The standout for me was the oyster and how it came in two parts. It was so innovative. I loved the sauces that accented the protein and the jus. Don’t even get me started on the service. What an attentive team. I always refer to it as poetry in motion the way the team moves effortlessly that you don’t even realize when they refill your glass of water. No crumb was left behind on that table. Someone scraped up anything that didn’t belong on the table after every course. Lastly, I just want to mention what a great job they did with the birthday cake that was an add-on to our meal. It was so damn good. Grazie Chef Rocco and team for an amazing meal.

We had a fantastic experience at Santa Elisabetta, with the 7-course dinner that delighted all our senses, but especially our palate. It definitely deserves its stars and would be a definite recommendation for anyone who wants to experience the very best Italian cuisine has to offer. The dessert combining small fruits with caviar was simply out of this world, the best I’ve had in memory.

The best fish I ever had, easily. Buttery rich salt cooked dish that did not disappoint. Tried the tastings menu and every dish presented deep flavors and showed how much they care about their food.

This was one of the best meals of our Italy trip. This place books up quick so I recommend getting a reservation as soon as you can. We had a reservation for 9:30pm (or so we thought). Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were greeted by the owner who asked if we had a reservation, when I showed him the email I thought was the confirmation he asked if I received a separate confirmation email (which I did not). When he realized this he made accomodations anyway and was able to seat us right away. When we sat down they gave us complementary white wine and let us know if we want more to just ask. The service was prompt compared to other restaurants we visited, each of the waitresses were constantly checking on multiple tables and making sure all guests were taken care of. In terms of food, we ordered the cuttlefish in black ink sauce over white corn meal, scampi saffron pasta and the lobster cooked in salt. In addition to this, to our surprise, they brought us a complimentary appetizer 1st that was cuttlefish dressed in a light olive oil, lemon sauce along with bread. Each dish we had was incredible. All the seafood was fresh and cook perfectly with great flavor. We especially loved the main lobster dish which came with two large prawns on top of it which was not mentioned on the menu at all. Once we went to pay, the woman gave us the itemized bill which was accurate and decided to take off an additional 5 euros for no real reason. Overall this restaurant gave us exceptional service and amazing seafood. It felt like it was ran by a family dedicated on giving a memorable experience. Definitely recommend.

We had a truly special and amazing meal here. A beautiful understanding of seafood and its optimal preparations. A prawns with truffle dish surprised us; the tasting menu was filled with happy surprises. Add to that a vibrant atmosphere away from the touristy parts of town and you have something really special. Big thumbs Don’t just get t bone steak in Florence. Florence is known for seafood as well! Their raw tasting menu is better than sashimi!

I found this place using Chat GPT and it was a great suggestion for seafood lovers. The dishes we shared were great, but the clear winner was the salt-baked fish! An absolute must to order!

We chose this restaurant based on its raving reviews, and for a change to our previous meat heavy Tuscan diet. Upon our arrival we received a complimentary glass of wine. The place opened at 20:00 and seemed to be almost fully booked. The atmosphere is cozy and tight, the staff on the floor composed of two young girls and the owner. We both decided to go with the tasting menu without the extra raw seafood option. And also got a bottle of white wine to go with it. The first dish was baby octopus, which was uneventful in flavour. Then we had raw shrimp with truffles sitting on grated dry carrots, the only prevalent flavour was the truffle which overpowered the dish, and the carrots added nothing but pollution to the plate. This is when we first started to express our dissatisfaction with the unmet expectations, to which the young waitress was very receptive and we received a dish, outside of the planned menu as an apology. As much as we greatly appreciated the gesture, this „compensatory“ dish, was equally underwhelming, presented as a raw shrimp on unwashed and unseasoned salad, with a single slice of kiwi, which was neither prepared in any way, nor complemented the sea food. Upon being asked if the dish was to our liking, and we expressed our opinion, the owner started to get preoccupied with making us happy. We considered deviating from the original menu, but decided to give the restaurant and the chef a chance and continued with it. The next fish was cuttlefish which was alright. Then the food took a more positive turn, my partner really enjoyed the pasta and the whole fish with asparagus, courgette and potato was also very much to our liking. Regardless, the restaurant is presenting itself as an elevated culinary experience, yet fails to achieve the flavour compositions, and meticulous attention to detail required. While we do appreciate the compensation and the attempt to make us happy, this restaurant falls short in many ways.

The first few dishes were borderline unenjoyable. Which we communicated to the staff. The owner was nice enough to offer us some compensatory dishes, but also said something along the lines of "they just don't appreciate raw food". Out of the many dishes that we ate, with the menu and the extras, most were very unimpressive, one was lovely which was the fish cooked in salt. Compensation is a nice effort but I would prefer consistency and quality to begin with. The desperation to hold on to a high google review instead of confidence in the establishment is not a good look. Would not return.

The best seafood meal I have ever had. We had the full course tasting selection, including the raw items. The range of flavours was sublime — extremely fresh and flavourful. The staff is very warm and helpful. We paired the meal with their recommendation of a Hauner Salina bianco wine — it was a perfect pairing and really enhanced the experience. The salted seabass was a very special way to end the meal before dessert. Highly recommended, enjoy!

This place is probably 4.5 stars! They have a good selection of wine! While I didn't have food the couple next to me said the sandwich was delicious. You can sit inside or outside. This place got pretty busy around lunch time! If you are near I will suggest stopping by!

The place is small and nice. They serve some appetizers with is super nice with the wine. The wine itself is limited if you drink just a glass and they did not want really to tell us the differences between the bottles.

I found Casa del Vino somewhat fortuitously and I am ever so grateful that I did. I am even more grateful that I found them on their last day of trading prior the August Summer break. The wine was fabulous, the food simple but so tasty and so perfectly matched to the lovely wines. The history of the store is fascinating. The store itself exists from the 1800s, and this family - Gianni’s Grand Father acquired it in the 1920s. It is presently run by Gianni and Nicoletta, with their daughter Bianca and son Nicola (the 4th generation), ably supported by the wonderfully knowledgeable Claudio. Like everything else, in the end it’s the heart and the soul that makes the difference. Folk who have visited Florence will agree that it is stuffed to the hilt with establishments also ostensibly with long histories, but now the only focus appears to be on fleecing tourists who are sometimes too lazy to check or do their research. And yet Casa del Vino remains true to their ethos and the wonderful family team make it what it truly is. I cannot wait to go back and meet everyone again. Thank you🙏

Brilliant place, hidden behind the leather stalls. There's a cosy and local atmosphere and the selection of wines are amazing, having top producers, not only in new vintages but also with some age, which is perfect for wine enthusiasts. The staff is very friendly and you'll have a great time here.

Excellent place to try wines, hang out among the locals, and grab a delicious snack. Friendly husband and wife team own the shop and were so kind and helpful. They speak only a little English, and I spoke a little Italian, so together we were able to chat a bit about retirement and beautiful places to see. Great experience, and excellent wines (we already miss the white wine we had!).

The place itself seems to be cozy but the staffs there seemed to be irritated giving simple information about the wines. I wonder why they have different kinds of wines if "they are all the same" as they said. And i still dont understand why the old lady staff in there toughly spilled all the ball pens in the pencil holder in front of me, all of sudden.

Some of the simplest experiences can be amongst the best…..like getting a ham, cheese & tomato sandwich served on a fresh crusty bread roll, from a tiny modest store in an obscure location near a market Florence. Served by the outgoing and personality-filled owner Marco himself, it was a delicious sandwich but an even more memorable experience. The €1 glass of rather ordinary wine was the icing on a very fun cake. Definitely worth visiting.

Super cute little place with four stools next to the counter where you order from the chalkboard menus. Right across from Sant’Ambrogio market, a bustling side of Florence that shouldn’t be missed. The owner/sandwich-maker is the most charming, polite Florentine man ever.

A can’t miss whether living in or visiting Florence. Tiny place to grab an innovative and great tasting 5€ sandwich with southern exposure (on a day with sun, an even more fantastic place to be) to watch the activity at the Sant’Ambrogio market. Wash down your sandwich with one or more 1€ glasses of white or red wine. I love Semel. You will be taken care of by the owner. A really mice guy.

My partner and I first went to Semel a couple years ago and at least monthly even now they sometimes just randomly ask "Do you remember when we went to Semel?" For them, the pear/cheese/truffle sandwich is top-tier and the one they will be thinking about on their deathbed.

Melaleluca was on my list before my arrival in Florence. I managed to have breakfast on my last day and would definitely have chosen if I stayed longer. They start early in the morning, I was there around 8:30 AM and it was almost full, but you can also grab some breakfast pastry and coffee. I tried poached eggs on toast, cinnamon roll (one of the best) and cappuccino. They has good variety of pastry, also pumpkin spiced rolls. The service was very lovely and food was served really fast. Very nice place to enjoy your breakfast near Arno river.

We had breakfast here and it was absolutely magnificent. The staff was fantastic, and the service was super super quick. We had the BLT with a fried egg and it was out of this world, slightly spicy cooked at the right temperature on a fantastic warm bagel. My family had the avocado toast, and it was also very good. The bacon was super crispy. The place is very calm close to the center of Florence but right by the river without a lot of pedestrian traffic. The flat white with almond milk was excellent and vanilla latte with oat was also very good. They also offer watermelon juice and coconut water, which are served fresh and cold. Very few places offer this in Florence. Prices where good for the quality and freshness of the product This is a great healthy option to have brunch our breakfast in Florence. We would definitely come back to try the pastries as well.

Such a lovely cafe. Came for brunch each morning we stayed in Florence. Wait time was less than 5 minutes - you may have to wait longer in a bigger group, but the QR code makes queuing up easy! Coffee, matcha, food and service was excellent. Will definitely be back!

Of our 4 mornings in Florence, we ate here twice even though our hotel had a full breakfast included. The servers are friendly and organized even though the place is always busy! The food is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend but be prepared to wait a bit for a table. Get the fried avocado tacos!

We’ve been in Italy for a week and finally found a proper breakfast place with eggs, bacon, etc. Very tasty brunch. Probably the best cinnamon roll we’ve had. Mimosas were refreshing. Service is fantastic. Highly recommend, would definitely go back.

I chose a Michelin restaurant to celebrate my mom’s birthday, but the food wasn’t that impressive. The ambiance was beautiful though, keeping with the style of the Four Seasons Hotel, and the service was excellent. What matters most is that my parents were happy. 🌹

We had an exceptional evening at Atto di Vito Mollica. The restaurant offers an impressive and elegant setting with a unique atmosphere that perfectly blends history and contemporary fine dining. It is worth mentioning that the dinner at Atto di Vito Mollica was not just Michelin-starred, but it was far better than the two-star treatment. Due To The Communication errors With The Front Desk Of Our Hotel, We Mistakenly Thought That He Had Booked A Michelin-starred Dinner with Atto Di Vito Mollica restaurant (rated as one star Michelin 2025). Unexpectedly, when we arrived, the hostess led us to Salotto Portinari Bistrot, which is another restaurant inside the boutique hotel also owned by Chef Vito Mollica. We were very disappointed. Our family leader insisted on going to a formal dining room to enjoy Michelin's style food. Otherwise, we would go to another restaurant, which alarmed the chef/owner of the restaurant, Mr. Mollica. He personally came to explain and introduce the operation of the restaurant. He is the chef for both Michelin restaurant and Bistro. The Michelin restaurant reservation was sold out two months ago, and there was no way to arrange it. He persuaded us to sit down first, drink some of his drinks and taste Michelin snacks. We were moved by his sincerity and impressed by his hospitality, and decided to have dinner at Bistrot. Later, there were more surprises. He personally recommended dishes and wine. He personally delivered and explained each dish. The food was excellent and delicious. The presentation was very impressive. The whole dining experience was very memorable and everyone was impressed by the food, service and the atmosphere in the surrounding. The service is thoughtful and impeccable. After the meal, Chef Vito Mollica took us to visit the kitchen and wine cellar, and took photos with us. Chef Vito Mollica turned the crisis into an opportunity. He not only won our appetite and trust, but he has such a big and warm heart. We truly felt his love and passion. When we were about to leave, he also hugged our leader. We had true treatment that was far beyond the Michelin star rating. This is a must visit place in Florence. By the way, make sure reserve restaurant in advance.

This is my favorite restaurant so far in my Europe trip, and has exceeded my expectations. I think it can be compared to some Micheline 3 star restaurants I just tried in Paris. It is a beautiful place with rich history to dine in. The food is innovative, well presented but still has great flavors. The service was outstanding as well.

My wife and I dined at Atto on June 12th,2024 and had an absolutely wonderful experience. This was our first time dining at a Michelin establishment when expecting a (first) child and the restaurant and staff were impressively detail oriented regarding menu modifications for pregnancy. We had absolutely zero concerns. The food was flawless start to finish, particularly the spring lamb and the poulard. Our waiter (whose name escapes me) was excellent and just the right level of attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Mark, the sommelier and manager, ran a flawless wine service - far superior to some much more “famous” starred establishments we have visited recently. The main room itself is absolutely stunning and worth asking your waitstaff about as the history is fascinating. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough, a must visit if you’re in Florence. We will return.

I dined here with my husband and my parents in March 2023 - this was my parent's first Michelin star experience. This is the best dining experience I have ever had...anywhere. The restaurant was incredibly beautiful and the service was unmatched. We had just arrived in Florence from a very long trip, and I realized we were not quite dressed for this experience. Nevertheless, the staff treated us extremely well and made us feel very special. I would highly recommend anyone come into this restaurant and have an amazing experience. I can't stop talking about this restaurant even a year and a half later.

If I could rate it 10 stars I would. Amazing food, genuinely so delicious and flavourful. Service was fast and accurate. Friendly, local feel with heaps of character. Ordered almost everything and was only €40 Worth lining up for 10 minutes. Cannot recommend any higher. PS. Get dessert. The best sweets we’ve had in Florence.

Was excited to try this place. I expected a bit of a wait, but was surprised to see a long line before the place opened. A local passing by even stopped to yell at people for doing so…oops That said, it was well worth it. The meal was simple, delicious, and fairly priced. I liked the straightforward menu with a few solid options. The pasta with pork ragù and roast beef were both excellent. Efficient service too!!

Best meal I had in Florence easily. This is truly authentic Tuscan food- very simple and unpretentious, but the ingredients are just that good that everything will blow your mind. All cooked perfectly and the staff were all great- not to mention it was super, mega cheap! €5.40 pasta and €6.80 roast beef. Definitely worth waiting in the queue, just make sure you get there early! No bookings here.

Great little place for no frills food. We had the tortelli with black cabbage, spezzatino di castrato (lamb stew), roasted potatoes, green seasoned salad and millefoglie. Everything tasted great and the prices are unbeatable. The only thing that could perhaps be improved is the salad, which turned out to just be a bowl of lettuce with some olive oil and vinegar - it could do with a little more variety.

Such a nice cheap place. Food was amazing!!!! Desserts as well. It had longer tables so every group was sitting with another but it was ok. The pastas were 5-6€. A nice lunch place. Definitely will go back.

Uhmm Flavor is quite ok, price is fairly cheap, but no memorable/ exciting part during the meal. Also waited very long to get the order done. Queue is long so coming as early as possible before it opens is recommended.

It’s undeniably a gorgeous restaurant, but that’s about where the excitement ended for us. The wild boar sauce was dry, and extremely concentrated tomato flavor, the risotto was drenched, and the steak was covered in too much vinegar to taste anything. We felt so lucky to be seated so late into the night, but that feeling quickly left as we were rushed in every step of the dining process. Why make a table reservable if you can’t serve that late?

Food was delicious. Restaurant is beautiful. Worth checking out if you’re able to get a reservation but it’s not a must try if you’re not able to. Definitely try the duck ravioli. I got the carbonara with asparagus but I personally wish it had more asparagus as the pieces were tiny.

Yes, it has a great aesthetic. But I struggled to find anything else I liked about it. It is nice that you get some small sample plate, but there was nothing spectacular about the food. The wild boar pasta was not flavorful and the meat was overcooked. It was very hard to chew. What really struck me were the prices. This was the most expensive meal I’ve eaten in all my trips to Italy. €71 just for myself. The wine is obscenely priced. €20 a glass is the cheapest wine I saw. Any other Italian restaurant I’ve eaten at in Italy always offered a €5 to €9 euro glass of wine as an option.

Exceptional Italian steakhouse. My wife was recommended this place by 2 separate people who’ve been to Florence before. The pear ravioli lives up to the hype and the steak was cooked excellently. Outstanding dining experience with good service. Highly suggest booking a reservation for lunch/dinner.

we had our dinner, we were 5 people. the service was great and the owner himself was taking care of all of his customers. All the food was amazing and we enjoyed our evening there. we had the best burrata cheese ever here 😍, we went to 3 cities but this place has the best one ☝🏻👏🏻

For the price we paid, it was a real disappointment. We ordered a carpaccio that came covered in tomatoes and radicchio; the bitterness completely masked the flavor of the meat. The cut of beef itself seemed good, but there were so many leaves on top that we couldn’t actually taste it. The portion of meat should have been much larger as well. We also ordered a shrimp and vegetable risotto, and it arrived with just one whole shrimp. The rest of what was in the dish was another shrimp chopped into pieces, in total, only two shrimps. Honestly, it was embarrassing. A huge letdown: lots of hype and very little quality.

We had a nice dinner in this restaurant. Reservation highly recommended. Food was super good. The octopus was my personal highlight. The Tatar was for my taste a little bit “boring”. Service was top. Overall a good experience and highly recommended.

This place is cool. Like the relaxing vibe and good food here. The cream brûlée has a natural refreshing flavour and it was the best we have even tried. We will definitely come back again if I come to Florence.

The food is out of this world literally! The chef is a genius. I was literally overwhelmed with how sophisticated and creative is the food. I had vegetarian options Risotto with cavolo nero and chestnut cake which is a delicate bomb

Definitely a restaurant frequented by both locals and tourists alike, great for experiencing a bit of authentic italian culture. We ordered the penne alla vodka and tagliatelle raggu, both were delicious. Do come early when they open at 7.30pm, as the restaurant fills up quickly. Maybe skip the carpaccio as it was only average in our opinion.

A decent spot on the outskirts of Florence. We had the penne Bettola and Conchiglie and they were good, not the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had, but still good. You can also get the house wine which is €5 a person and you can drink as much as you want from the bottle. The service was okay, we were waiting outside the restaurant when they opened and they sat everyone else down before us even though we were there first. They also sat some people beside us and were passing our condiments back and forth between us and the other customer (oil, bowl of Parmesan). The patio is also situated on a pretty busy street.

Perfect place for lunch, I really enjoyed the hustle and bustle of a busy restaurant. Super popular and I can see why. I had the Penne Vodka dish and it was 10/10. Good sizes as well!

We had a fantastic dinner and experience at Alla Vecchia Bettola. Our server was attentive and generous with the wine. The penne alla vodka, which most of us got, was delicious. We arrived early for our reservation and the owner gave us free glasses of wine while we waited. The atmosphere was a lot of fun and everyone - seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists - seemed to be having a good time. Definitely worth setting an early alarm to make the reservation from the U.S. prior to our trip.

Good food, bad service. For asian like us to note. We came in 6:30pm and knock on their door ask to book at 7:30pm, since its just an hour away we waited at the piazza outside while having the nice gelato from opposite establishment. upon 7:30 we enter and the old guy manager/owner wearing SLIPPERS, cater us to our table. the then lady ask if we want still or sparkling water, we said we dont what water and she said ok. after awhile the old guy take our order, we orderd one secondi and 2 prima mains, for drinks only one glass of rose. the his fussed as to why only one i guess cause he ask my husband what he wants he said he didnt want any. I said all the orders can come altogether. From what i understand, he understand what i said cause i said it twice. he say it again. Turns out he dont. After he took our order he talk to his lady staff and from what i believe his saying we are cheapskate who dont order any drink cause the lady laugh and look at us. LOL we waited for more than 15 mins for the dish and the pasta came first split into two plates which i never i ask, we try to wait for the two other dish but it dont come so we just ate, when we almost finish only then they served the two dishes. So correct he didnt understand to Serve altogether. the feeling and atmosphere while we wait is too uncomfortable at its best because we can see how they take care of other tables except us. That old guy talk to all tables from french to spanish to english speaking white people with warm. And i guess because we dont order any drinks they are pissed off as maybe they think we dont want to spend. We wanted to order more actually cause we are more of plenty of dishes than drinks couple but then because of the racism no need. Know that guest who dont order drinks doesnt mean they dont have the spending capacity. It can be just because they dont drink comfortably like all italians. Dont judge your guests base on color, order or whatnot. Your food is really good but your service and racism sucks!

Delicious, innovative, friendly and authentic. After 2.5wks in Italy, Il Magazzino was one of the best. How exciting to see the creativity in offal preparation, with the flavour and textures in each dish utterly on point. The salty crunch of the Totani di Bosco and rich gelatinous broth of the Lampredotto al rosmarino in particular are in my dreams. Service is friendly and fun, and there’s a real down-to-earth, authentic vibe. Pretty sure we were the only non-locals there, and it felt like such a privilege to find this place among all the tourist traps in Florence. Grazie mille!!

I loved the location and the cozy atmosphere. The lampredotto polpette were amazing, we kept thinking about them for the rest of the trip. My ricotta pasta was a bit too salty, but the tomatoes were fresh and the pasta had the perfect texture. Service was a bit awkward, it’s like the waitress was bored of us.

We were so lucky to walk in and get a table for 4 with no reservation. The staff and owner were super friendly, and the food was amazing. The meatballs, pasta, and desserts were the best I've had. Highly recommend for spectacular food, non-touristy atmosphere at super reasonable prices.

The stellar reviews don't lie - go here. This is some of the best authentic, rustic Tuscan food you can have in Florence. Service is simple but pleasant, and the food absolutely blows almost every other place in the city out of the water. The Tagiolini with Veal was sublime - like the best version of a sausage gravy - and the Lampredotto Ravioli with sweet onions must be tasted to be believed. Make sure you visit!

We found this place from the osteria 2025 app, which I would recommend to all Italy travelers. We were a party of three and had a truly spectacular evening. You should definitely try the lampredotto, a florentine delicacy made from the tender stomach of cattle.

Mama Mia … the best authentic Tuscan food so far after trying several popular trattorie in Firenze. Warm greeting, cozy atmosphere and amazing local food : tripes, delicious peposo with beautiful aromas of rosemary and white beans, delicious Osso bucco. Delicious barolo. Although we were not hungry anymore the quality of the main dishes on once us to try the ricotta y pistachio torta….. the cherry on top of the cake …light, flavorful and fresh crushed pistachios ! Just authentic good Tuscan fare at amazing prices $16 for a main course , all of it a few steps from the punto vecchio. This is all you expect from a traditional trattoria, an authentic place with high ceiling and tomette stones, a casual but welcoming atmosphere and the best where it should be : the quality of your wine and food. I will go back tomorrow !

A very cozy and stylish wine bar in Florence! You can sit both indoors and outdoors. There’s a great selection of wines and snacks, nice atmosphere and beautiful flowers! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

We stopped by this place on our way home because the atmosphere felt so inviting. It was buzzing with locals and the vibe was amazing! We were even treated to two complimentary small dishes. A wonderful, authentic moment in a little bar in Florence!

Everyone was so sweet and the energy in here is so great! Very busy so if you’d like to go come early because the spots get filled up fast. The small plates were also great 😊

Incredible special local FUN lively all the adjectives. Good luck getting a seat at the bar. NOT GOOD FOR BIG GROUPS or if you are in a rush (it took an hr to get the check when it got bussin) but come if you want to experience aperitivo with people who actually live in Florence.

Only came for a glass of wine. Randomly stumbled upon it because the wine window place a few doors down was flooded with other tourists taking selfies. Staff were great and the wine selection was exceptional. They let you take your glass of wine outside and chill in the street without a deposit and it’s just a friendly place.

Really liked this entire vibe. So many folks ordering wine/drinks and just sitting & enjoying on the street. There is a little sitting inside, and we were lucky enough to snag a spot. This is what I’m looking for in a wine bar in Florence! great wine, really good experience.
