Ditta Artigianale Via dei Neri Specialty Coffee Shop is the newest addition to a group of five locations in Florence, known for its top-quality coffee made from beans sourced globally. The shop also features a pastry and bakery laboratory that produces various types of high-quality bread and modern pastries. Award-winning barista Francesco Sanapo oversees the roasting and brewing of some of the best coffee in Florence at this hip and bustling venue near Santa Croce.
Great food, great coffee, friendly staff. They even have gluten free bread as an option. Loved that they had the option to purchase half of the sandwich I chose (for half the price) as I usually struggle to finish the portions at most places. Did have to wait 10 minutes for a table but it was worth it. Not much more to say other than I would happily return.
Sarah R — Google review
Nice place to come - the coffees were super interesting. I had a passion fruit coffee, which I've never heard of before. I'd definitely recommend trying their more interesting coffees. Their food was also really good - perfectly cooked pancakes! A good amount of choice, although €19 for a sandwich seemed a little excessive. I had to knock it down a star because, when we went to pay, we asked to split the bill and the waiter rounded up to make it easier for himself. This was really odd and meant we were paying more than we should.
Rhiannon — Google review
Visited Ditta Artigianale, a well-known café in Florence located on Via dei Neri. We chose it for breakfast since it opens quite early, at 07:30, which was perfect before starting our activities. At the time, we had to wait a little and were put on the waiting list, but it was worth it. We ordered a cappuccino and a flat white. The flat white turned out to be one of the best we’ve ever had, while the cappuccino was also excellent. To go along with it, we tried their pastries: a Danish strawberry pastry and a Pistachio croffin. Both were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delightful. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely a place we’d recommend if you’re looking for high quality coffee and pastries in Florence.
Ryan A — Google review
Very cute place and atmosphere, excellent almond cappuccino as well. The croissant was ok, a bit average to be honest- staff were excellent! They don’t allow laptops just in case you want to work there for an hour or two - just FYI
Alberto S — Google review
Coffe and pastries are good, but don’t order the Benedict eggs. They are horrible! Hard boiled eggs that are overpriced, very disappointing, plus no sides just the eggs. This was the most horrible breakfast experience, we were looking forward to have the Benedict’s, never thought Italy would have bad food. Our bill was €42… most expensive breakfast without meat.
Yuliana A — Google review
The team specifically at Via de Neri were exceptional. I’d go there again and again. Great pancakes and flat whites!!!!
Tony M — Google review
Great place to grab coffee and breakfast. You can take it standing up or to-go, or you can seat a table. We had delicious coffee and breakfast here two days in a row while staying in Florence. Our server Mauricio was so good and so funny. He is a hard worker for sure!
Yulia — Google review
Location wise this is a great spot to have a little rest before seeing more sights. This coffee shop is nice and efficient, make sure you checkout the takeaway vs dine in queues. The pastries are top notch and the coffee is great too.

Melaleuca Firenze, a charming bakery bistrot located on Lungarno delle Grazie, is a popular spot among both international and local students. The place offers a delightful brunch experience with an array of international specialties such as toasts, bagels, eggs, and pancakes. Additionally, patrons can savor homemade delicacies like carrot cake, Babka, and the renowned Cinnamon Rolls.
we're looking for a more balanced breakfast and this is the place. the food was hearty, service is warm and the place is cozy. we had nduja chili eggs which is great! the sourness from the yoghurt combined with a bit of spices is really nice. egg was cooked nicely too, not overcooked. and the cinammon roll was one of the best we had. not overly sweet, warm, and soft in texture with a bit of crunch externally. really enjoyed our breakfast here!
Hans S — Google review
Melaleluca was on my list before my arrival in Florence. I managed to have breakfast on my last day and would definitely have chosen if I stayed longer. They start early in the morning, I was there around 8:30 AM and it was almost full, but you can also grab some breakfast pastry and coffee. I tried poached eggs on toast, cinnamon roll (one of the best) and cappuccino. They has good variety of pastry, also pumpkin spiced rolls. The service was very lovely and food was served really fast. Very nice place to enjoy your breakfast near Arno river.
Mariam K — Google review
We had breakfast here and it was absolutely magnificent. The staff was fantastic, and the service was super super quick. We had the BLT with a fried egg and it was out of this world, slightly spicy cooked at the right temperature on a fantastic warm bagel. My family had the avocado toast, and it was also very good. The bacon was super crispy. The place is very calm close to the center of Florence but right by the river without a lot of pedestrian traffic. The flat white with almond milk was excellent and vanilla latte with oat was also very good. They also offer watermelon juice and coconut water, which are served fresh and cold. Very few places offer this in Florence. Prices where good for the quality and freshness of the product This is a great healthy option to have brunch our breakfast in Florence. We would definitely come back to try the pastries as well.

Such a lovely cafe. Came for brunch each morning we stayed in Florence. Wait time was less than 5 minutes - you may have to wait longer in a bigger group, but the QR code makes queuing up easy! Coffee, matcha, food and service was excellent. Will definitely be back!
Abbey S — Google review
Incredible service! Wonderful food. Best Matcha I’ve ever had (got it with their vanilla syrup). Our server cared about mine and my husband‘s allergies and made sure we were comfortable with what we ordered.
Emily R — Google review
The hype is real! This is some of the most delicious food we’ve had on our trip. The meals feel familiar, but the flavors are distinctly unique. You can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu but I highly recommend the strawberry pancakes and the hasbrowns! Also the scrambled eggs are seasoned (which doesn’t seem like a huge deal, but for us it is). On top of that, the staff is really kind and inviting. We will be back for sure to try more of the menu.
Onye E — Google review
We found this restaurant from a YouTube vlog on Florence. The restaurant is small but they make the space work. Of our 4 mornings in Florence, we ate here twice even though our hotel had a full breakfast included. The servers are friendly and organized even though the place is always busy! The food is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend but be prepared to wait a bit for a table. Get the fried avocado tacos!
Deb D — Google review
We’ve been in Italy for a week and finally found a proper breakfast place with eggs, bacon, etc. Very tasty brunch. Probably the best cinnamon roll we’ve had. Mimosas were refreshing. Service is fantastic. Highly recommend, would definitely go back.

La Ménagère is a chic bistro located in the heart of Florence, offering a unique blend of dining, shopping, and aesthetic pleasure. Housed in a former hardware store, this whimsical establishment combines a restaurant, café, and flower shop. The space invites visitors to embark on a gastronomical journey while surrounded by beautiful blooms. After undergoing renovations, La Ménagère has become the go-to spot for those seeking an elegant and stylish atmosphere.
We came here for breakfast and we absolutely enjoyed it. We sat at one of the patio tables, and my husband had the Eggs Benedict, and I had the Fresh Fruit with Pancakes with Maple Syrup. The food was both fresh and delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable. It has been one of our favorite restaurants we visited on our vacation.
Cher W — Google review
We had an amazing dinner at La Ménagère — everything from start to finish was perfect. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere is stunning, with a beautifully curated interior that blends elegance and creativity — we especially loved the charming flower shop inside, which added such a unique and romantic touch. It’s the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, and we left with unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!
Ana-Maria C — Google review
Walking into your restaurant was like walking into an enchanted boutique store which served food and drinks and soothed the eyes with the colourful products...the decor was truly exquisite and the high ceilings and archways added so much history to the ambience...The hostess was extremely professional...the Limoncello Gin drink was absolutely fresh!!. Being a vegetarian I enjoyed the sage and asparagus agnolotti...so much flavour!! We also enjoyed the jacket potato and truffle!!The staff was very professional and made our evening memorable ♥️♥️ Thank You🙏🏽
Ruchi N — Google review
Cute place but I don’t think the food is worth all the hype at all. Local guides were right. Try to get a sit near the piano as it has more natural light coming out of a dome. I had the pancakes with fruits. Make sure you order the syrup on the side coz it’s very sweet. The smoothie was not as tasty I wanted
Emmanuel N — Google review
The restaurant is absolutely stunning—so fancy and beautifully designed, with a great atmosphere that feels high-end but still welcoming. The food was delicious, and I’ll definitely be coming back. It’s not just a place to eat, but also a lovely spot to socialize and gather with friends. You can even buy flowers or candles, or simply enjoy the live piano music, which adds a special touch. Highly recommend!
Shix — Google review
We came on a cool September night and sat outside while we enjoyed some cocktail. Cool jazz and r&b soul music. The vibe here is impeccable, from the decor to the music to the energy of the space. We ordered the Royal Garibaldi, and it was fresh, crisp, and so balanced. Definitely a step up from your usual spritz, it’s complex and bright, just like the atmosphere. If you’re in Florence and want to soak in an unforgettable evening with great drinks and even better vibes, this is the place. Can’t recommend it enough.
Jorge R — Google review
Very attentive personnel. Good quality of the coffee and pancakes. Interior design covered with natural flowers, as there is inside a flower section to buy. Definitely recommend

Enjoyed a fantastic veggie tasting menu dinner here - 5 courses for 80 euros. Enjoyed some bread and homemade butter to begin, with an espresso martini which was delicious. This place was fantastic value for money - each course was tasty and was very full on leaving!

Caffè Gilli is a historic café in Florence, founded in 1733 and located near the stunning Piazza del Duomo. The café's Art Nouveau style, frescoed ceilings, wood paneling, arches, and majestic counter create a charming ambiance for visitors. During Carnevale season from January to early March, Caffè Gilli offers fritelle di riso, which are considered some of the best Carnevale treats in Italy.
My mom and I visited Caffè Gilli, and we were truly impressed by both the service and the quality. Our server, Ilaria, was incredibly helpful and professional. We were in a hurry but really wanted to try this place, so after we mentioned that, she did everything she could to make sure our orders were prepared quickly and I could literally see her trying her best!🥹 We ordered Affogato al Caffè, Tiramisù, and Caffè del Padre. While we were ordering, Ilaria kindly informed us that they didn’t have chili pepper that day for the Caffè del Padre. We still wanted to try it, and she immediately offered an alternative by using cocoa powder instead, such a thoughtful and professional solution! All the items were absolutely delicious. The tiramisù was soft, rich, and perfectly balanced, the affogato had the ideal mix of espresso bitterness and creamy sweetness, and the Caffè del Padre was unique and full of flavor even with the cocoa twist. We honestly loved every single bite and sip. We were so glad we came!😊❤️ Even though we only spoke English, Ilaria communicated with us so kindly and warmly. We’d like to give special thanks to Ilaria, and we highly recommend Caffè Gilli to everyone visiting Florence! 🌸
Öykünur K — Google review
There’s a cover fee of €3 per person, and the caffe is on the pricier side. We were a party of 2. The breakfast was good. My pancakes came covered with melted cheese, which I found to be very different, but I enjoyed them. My husband enjoyed his Eggs Benedict as well. The ambience was great. Tommaso was our waiter and he was good.
Debra M — Google review
I rarely visit the same place twice when travelling — yet in just 2.5 days, we found ourselves at Gilli not once, not twice, but five times! That says it all. We first stopped in for breakfast at the bar and were served by Antonio, who delivered not only delicious coffee but truly outstanding service. Despite the rush of a busy morning, he took the time to chat with us, introduced us to “El Padre,” and even surprised us with a little chocolate treat. His warmth and professionalism made us feel right at home, so we returned that very afternoon for more coffee — and once again, Antonio was just as attentive and friendly. An absolute star! Later that night, we came back for cocktails. Juan Carlos greeted us with the same level of hospitality — engaging conversation, fantastic drink recommendations, and what was genuinely the best Espresso Martini I’ve ever had. Of course, we couldn’t resist returning the next day for breakfast, pastries, and a final coffee before leaving Florence — we kept finding excuses to come back! I cannot recommend Gilli highly enough. Delicious food, fantastic coffee, excellent cocktails — but above all, the exceptional service from the team truly made our experience unforgettable. We will absolutely return the next time we’re in Florence! ✨🍸☕️

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We were a party of two and everything from start to finish was excellent. The food was delicious, the place was spotless and the service was top-notch. A special shout-out to Noa and Carmelo, who were especially kind and attentive throughout our visit. To top it all off, we were surprised with free sweets at the end, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommended!
Dominic W — Google review
Caffe Gilli was on my list before my arrival. I wanted a place with nice view and a bit of Parisian chic and it's the closest to that. I arrived by 9 AM and enjoyed their breakfast. They have good options from eggs to pastry and really good coffee. It was not too crowded and I was lucky to sit near the piazza, it got lore crowded afterwards. The service was nice and pleasant.
Mariam K — Google review
Perfect place to stop by. Recommend sitting next to window, so you can feel the atmosphere of piazza and enjoy food and coffee at the same time. Server Alessio welcomed and made us comfortable during stay. He was such a nice person.
Seo B — Google review
This place welcome me like it I was home! Everything about this place was great. The servers, food, wine, coffee, atmosphere and the location make it the perfect place to sit down, relax, take in the view of the Plaza and get lost in the sounds of the city. I met a few great staff that made me feel like family. Santi and tomas were some of them. Very friendly, joyous, fun and kind. I'm here for two weeks and this is definitely a place I will always remember and if I ever get the chance to come back I will for sure return to see my new friends! Thank you Santi, Tomas and the rest of the staff there!
David T — Google review
We had an unforgettable experience at Gilli Firenze dal 1733. The atmosphere is classic and full of Florentine charm, and every dish, from the fresh pastries to the beautifully plated mains, was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. What truly made our visit special was the service from Alessio and Virginia. They were both incredibly kind, attentive, and professional, making us feel genuinely welcome!

Situated on Via Gioberti, this charming café serves delightful pastries and light lunch options.
Great place for breakfast! Pastries are top noch, coffee is very good, and the place itself is full of energy. It is usually full with locals which is all the time, great sign. Highly recommend the Mille feuille pastry! As a someone with sweet tooth this became on Eid my favourite pastries ever!
Nataliya P — Google review
We had breakfast here during our stay at a nearby Airbnb and we absolutely loved it! The croissant was delicious and the coffee was just superb! The place is buzzing with locals in the morning, many food of whom are just grabbing a coffee and pastry at the bar, so you can easily get a table. Must visit if you’re staying in the area!
Nikita M — Google review
Great coffee and nice little pastries. Well done aperitivo/apericena... although the Spritz is pricey for its size! 10€ for drink/aperitivo. 7€ for your second Spritz. Beware most of the food is ice cold even if it’s supposed to be a dish served hot. But... it was winter when I visited. Fairly friendly (uncharacteristic) service. A good place for a snack in the via Gioberti zone!
A C — Google review
This was a lovely cafe near our hotel which we frequented daily. The coffees were good and they had a great selection of patisserie which were delicious both savory and sweet. It was always crowded and seems to be frequented mainly by locals. The prices were very reasonable and indeed cheap for cappuccino
Yoga S — Google review
Nice, quality and classy place. We were there around 1:30, Friday, they were quite busy, place is noisy and patrons seemed mostly locals, not tourists. Great selection of food, superb classic espresso. Food is a bit pricey (3 items you see on pics came at 22 euro) but tastes great and well made. Waiter was attentive and friendly but cashiers were not. For that and for absence of clear pricing on display I took minus one star. But I recommend this place and would go again. Greetings from Vancouver, BC.

Delicious pastries and sandwiches at a reasonable price. Try the pistachio eclair - it is incredible. We plan to stop here for lunch every day we're here in Florence.

Top Class. Michelin stared restaurant so hardly any need to review. The total dining experience was superb, as was the food and wine pairing. Exceptional Family Stay – Four Seasons Never Disappoints 🌟 Our family had an amazing stay at Four Seasons Florence! The property is exquisite and truly breathtaking. The service was exceptional — thank you to the manager and entire staff for their prompt and efficient service. A special mention to Alberto at breakfast, who was simply outstanding! It was a wonderful stay, though far too short. Four Seasons never disappoints — we can’t wait to return!

Absolutely amazing stay. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, and the hotel itself is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. Pure perfection in every detail. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This hotel is gorgeous. However I was there mid July for one night. It was a very hot day. The pool was FULL of kids. Not just kids, but like toddlers with the nanny’s following them around. It was really like being at a nursery school. I like kids, but at that price I just don’t want to feel bombarded by them. This property is certainly big enough to have a designated kids pool or area. It was just too much. Also, the food poolside was mediocre. Had a burger that had no flavor for lunch one day. Underwhelming.

But what truly sets Moyo apart is its exceptional aperitivo experience—offering unlimited snacks like small sandwiches and refreshing cold salads to accompany your drinks.
Nice Cosy place, and above all aperol spritz costs exactly the same as it costs in my neighborhoods bar in Athens.Which is strange to me.No comparison between Firenze and the city I live
DIMITRIS K — Google review
Staff were friendly, and the restaurant gives off a (false) stylish vibe. I am giving one star because I paid 15€ for this one dish… the milanese with patate fritte. A portion of this size is shocking for such a price, especially in comparison to the size of the pasta dishes that my friends had (which did in fact look good).
Francesca B — Google review
Place can be very busy during Saturday nights and summer days especially on the weekends. Best day to go in here is during Thursday and Friday nights. Their cocktails are really good! Also the place is aesthetically pleasing and well designed. They also have music and it's not very loud. Employees are also accommodating but they don't have a lot of tables since the place isn't big.

My husband is on a mission to make this a “get our steps in” vacation. After walking through Florence until my feet were bloody stumps, we stopped at this hip little bar for some rest and refreshment. It was the perfect place for a break. Hip tunes playing, great Aperol Spritz, and a great little snack tray with different meats and cheeses. It’s worth a visit if you are exhausted and injured or not. PS: Step challenges are over rated. 😀

Originally opened as Caffe Centrale in 1846, it was later acquired by Paszkowski & C. in 1903 and transformed into a cafe-concert. The café has been known for enlivening evenings with live music and signature drinks while preserving its old-time charm.
Paszkowski Café (pronounced Pash-KOFF-skee) - A Polish Central European oasis in scorching heat of beautiful Florence ! We visited Paszkowski on a blistering Sunday afternoon with our family during la pausa, and this place truly saved our day. Tucked into Piazza della Repubblica, the terrace is cooled by what looked like fine “misting sprinklers” — a blessing under the Tuscan sun. Inside, the interiors are a striking mix of Polish‑Austrian / Central European elegance: wood‑panelled walls, crystal chandeliers, mosaic floors - think the grand cafés of Vienna, Cracow, Warsaw or Prague, transported into Florence. Service was warm and polished. The manager greeted us with humor, interest in our origins, and genuine care throughout our stay. Highlights from the PSK signature menu? Their bubble‑tea twist felt refreshingly light, and the signature cake—a billowy, Central‑European‑style delight—was perfect. The coffee, too, carried that rich Polish‑Austrian sensibility: full‑bodied, smooth, slightly sweet, and utterly comforting. But what really makes Paszkowski iconic is its history and atmosphere. Founded in 1846 as Caffè Centrale, it became Polish‑run in 1903 when Karol (Carlo) Paszkowski - an enterprising Polish brewer and, later, Honorary Polish Consul in Florence - took over. He transformed it into a Viennese‑style brewery and concert café. Since then, Paszkowski has been a beloved meeting place for Florentine intellectuals and European literati - from Italian greats like Giovanni Papini, Ardengo Soffici, Gabriele D’Annunzio, Władysław Reymont, Stefan Żeromski, Eugenio Montale, Umberto Saba, Vasco Pratolini and Leopold Staff are often mentioned as part of that broader Central‑European café milieu, which Paszkowski beautifully embodies. It’s a place where Polishness quietly but proudly lives within the interior architecture, coffee and convivial conversational style - part of an esteemed Central European café tradition of intellectual gatherings, mid‑afternoon coffees and layered cakes. Today, Paszkowski stands alongside Café Florian in Venice or Cafe Greco in Rome — equally steeped in art, politics, literature and music. It’s not just a beautiful stop for a break - it’s a living, breathing cultural institution. Highly recommend for anyone looking for history, good taste, and that slightly refined, unforced Central‑European charm.

Great experience for a lunch. Pizza and salads are unique, fresh, and you must try their homemade ice tea! Waiters Ardit and Gigi were very hospitable and fun to have while we stayed. Would come back again and again. The view was great in the square

I was recommended this cafe by The Tour Guide channel. Overall I found it to be average. The coffee was fine, nothing special. I enjoyed the small snacks provided upon sitting. The biggest problem was the service which was a total mess. Inside we tried to order drinks and cakes and were told to go outside. Outside we waited for a seat and nobody came. Eventually we sat and tried to wave down a waiter and multiple times we were told that the waiter would serve us eventually. Finally they came and took the order and to almost no surprise; they brought us the wrong drinks. This was just a case of poor service and we felt like we were passed from person to person.

Pleasant experience with live music during dinner time, opens till late. The food was ok, beautifully prepared and presented. Gnocchi’s highly recommended, the baked salmon’s also quite tasty. Dessert’s not too impressive but ok.

By far the best croissants/cornetto in Florence! The chocolate cream was rich and generous. The skin of the croissants were flaky and the inside soft and buttery. Go to caffe Gilli beside for cappuccino though - tried the coffee here twice and while it’s decent, it lacks the crema so desired in a cuppa.

We had a wonderful experience at Caffè Paszkowski. The atmosphere blends historic charm with a touch of elegance, perfect for relaxing in the heart of Florence. The coffee and pastries were good, especially the tiramisu. Service was attentive. It’s clear why locals and visitors alike come here. A great spot for people-watching, sipping something delicious, and enjoying the Florentine.

Last year, I had the best cornettoes in Italy and an incredible cup of espresso here in a heritage worthy cafe that was 100+ years old. This year they didn't even open early, it had a completely different, more touristy, glitz and glam kind of vibe. Looks more like a fancy brunch kind of place and they ran out of cornertoes. Disappointed.

Coronas Café is a cozy and traditional spot located on the bustling Via Calzaiuoli, but don't let its touristy location fool you - it's a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The café offers a variety of Italian sandwiches, gelato, cappuccinos, pastries, and even a full bar with wine. Despite its small size and limited seating options, the quality of their offerings makes it worth the visit.
Some of the best gelato we had in Italy - and we had a lot. Enjoyed it at one of the few inside tables. The employees were friendly and very professional.

Great ice cream and espresso shot. It’s a tiny shop in the middle of everything with a bar, gelato, and coffee. Tiny spot with lots of options!

Absolutely amazing gelato! I ordered a raspberry single cone and it was sublime with pieces of raspberry. You could taste the fruit. Our waiter gave my husband a taste of two different pistachio gelatos as he couldn't decide, which was so lovely of him. We sheltered here out of the rain and enjoyed our afternoon sweet treat so much. Highly recommended

Lovely cafe with rich coffee and tasty pastry. Their signature with sugar on top and decadent custard filling really hit the spot. A chaser of sparkling mineral water is always a nice touch after your coffee. Friendly courteous service. Not many spots inside to sit down but you can still stand at the bar. Great location close to Cathedral. Great breakfast!

Fast service, friendly, and polite. Good espresso and pastries ( a little bit expensive for some pastries, but there is brioche 🥐 that 1.5euro with full crema pasticcerà inside that yum) ☺️

This is my favorite little shop in the touristy area of Florence (about a block away from Piazza della Repubblica). It has gelato, espresso/coffee-drinks/full bar with wine/patisseries/sandwiches. All very high quality and delicious. If you don't know what your want, come here and see what looks tasty! If you know exactly what you want, thru probably have it or can make it here!

A tale of two halves. The gelato here was delicious, great flavour and very smooth. The service here was terrible, served with a sneer, the staff talking to other people constantly while ‘serving’ us, no eye contact…I would rather go line someone else’s pockets next time.

Bottega di Pasticceria is a café with beautiful interior and lovely pastries. In addition to a selection of bite-sized pastries, the store sells croissants with a variety of fillings, such as Nutella-filled croissants. The shop is located across the Arno River in a shady area, and it also offers coffee.
I recently visited this charming spot for breakfast, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The breakfast spread was fantastic, offering a perfect balance of sweet and savory options. Whether you’re craving something light and sugary or a heartier, savory start to your day, they have you covered. The pastries were fresh and indulgent, and the salty options, like the cheeses and cured meats, were top-notch. What really stood out to me was their impressive collection of Prosecco and wines. Even though I didn’t stay for lunch, I noticed their menu offers a variety of options, and based on the quality of the breakfast, I can only imagine how delicious lunch must be.

I wish I could have coffee & pastry here every day. This is a dream. The guys at Bottega di Pasticceria are true masters of their craft. It may be a few minutes walk out of town, but it’s well worth it if you’re in for a treat.

Really nice place. We were as a family and was all good, but I would recommend it more for business lunch, couples. The service was outstanding, the menu really balanced and the taste incredible. Coffee and deserts are really good. I saw a variety of wines, not necessary Toacan wines only, but also north and south of Italy as well.

Antica Pasticceria Sieni is a traditional pastry shop that offers a delightful selection of pastries and sweets. The sfoglia alla crema, budino al riso, and aragoste are highly recommended treats. Locals love their famous zuccotto and the freshly made pastries on the top two shelves. Visitors can enjoy strong and delicious coffee while soaking in the authentic local experience by standing at the bar.
We had great cappuccino and espresso, as well as some quite delicious pastries. The staff was very kind, the place has this authentic italian atmosphere that really lets you immerse in the city vibe. As we were sitting we unfortunately hit the table and spilled our coffees. The lady from the staff was so kind to give us other ones and didn't want us to pay, although the mistake was completely ours. I really want to express my deepest gratitude for this kind gesture 🙏❤️ If you are in the city definitely stop by!

We thought it could be a very local option, which it is indeed, and it could be a little challenging to communicate and we couldn’t be more wrong. The pastries surpassed all our expectations, but the service itself was the star of the show! Can’t recommend it enough! Go!

We enjoyed breakfast in Antica Pasticceria Sieni for the three days we were in Florence. We enjoyed their breakfast and pastries every morning and their service was always friendly. They do get busy and so we found that we had to stay on-top of that order or we would get our complete breakfast depending on who was serving us. Even with that I enjoyed our starting each day here. All of the action made for part of the enjoyment of eating here. 3 days and 4 different pastries which all satisfied my love of a great treat 😁

Ditta Artigianale is a cafe in Florence, Italy that serves artisanal coffee and pastries. The ceilings are high and the booths are comfortable, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy your coffee. The menu includes items such as the Croque monsieur sandwich and the Firenze Cadillac Club Sandwich. In addition to coffee, they also serve aperitivi and nightlife is always buzzing here.
We had breakfast at Ditta Artigianale Via dello Sprone – Specialty Coffee and were impressed by the wide selection of coffee options – a true paradise for coffee lovers. The breakfast was also very tasty: we had scrambled eggs and a Croque Madame, both freshly prepared and delicious. Unfortunately, my fruit was forgotten with the order, but mistakes can happen. The location is excellent – a perfect starting point for exploring the city on foot. All in all, a great way to start the day!

A cool, stylish, and spacious two-story coffee shop. I really liked the space and design — a bit of a 70s vibe, with lacquered furniture and bright wallpaper. The staff is friendly, and there are plenty of seats. The bar is equipped with professional gear. They also serve alcohol and seem to have a food menu, but we only tried the drinks. The cappuccino and strawberry matcha were excellent, especially for Italy. From what I understood, they already have a small network of cafés in Florence. It’s great to see more and more specialty coffee shops popping up in Italy. Highly recommend!

Excellent coffee! Being able to choose the beans for my cappuccino was a plus. The pastries were nice, but the Eggs Benedict was a letdown. It contained way too much cream cheese and that flavor is all I could taste.

We literally visited almost all the Ditta cafes 😍 There are popping up in nice key areas, this one just across the old bridge and far enough from the crowds, this is a cafe for studying, working, having a chat. There is lots of seating indoors and outdoors. The lady that waited on us was amazingly friendly. Tip: checkout the pastries before you take a seat, to make a better decision when ordering from your table 🙃

Very disappointing experience. €5 for a maritozzo, which is really expensive, and it was honestly the worst sweet I’ve had in Italy. The bun was sweet but not soft at all, just dry and heavy. The toilet was dirty, and the staff were unfriendly — one of them was just standing in the corner using her phone instead of helping customers. Definitely not worth the price.

So glad I visited this bakery on my trip to Florence! In an area that felt more local than touristy. A ‘must do’ for any coeliac. One of the best totally gluten free bakeries I’ve been too. They are rare. This feels so safe and the choice!!!!! Incredible. Would recommend the donuts and the chocolate flakey pastries. Great selection in the shop too of lots of gf produce. The staff were also friendly and spoke English.

100% senza glutine bakery/ market about an hour walk from the city center and absolutely worth it. The pastries were the best of my trip- light, flaky, and sweet. We got three pastries: chocolate filling, cream filling, and a chocolate/ almond filling (favorite). This was a wonderful place to sit down and relax in a more quiet neighborhood. I wish I had a bakery like this at home!

Celiacs rejoice - and head over to the only 100% gluten free bakery in Florence. A quick trip from the center by bus and you will be rewarded with the most amazing gluten free breads, pizzas and pastries. We focused on the croissants, donuts and cream filled pastries - which were undoubtedly some of the best we have sampled anywhere in the world - heaven. Hoping to return to try some of their other brunch/lunch offerings - like pizza, panini and the gorgeous looking breads. There are a few tables inside so you can eat in and they also have a good selection of fresh pasta and other gluten free items for sale. Staff were very friendly and helpful too. Highly recommend.

Gluten free heaven, coeliac mecca! It might be a little trek outside of the city, but its way worth the trip for lunch. Gluten free beer, hot food, sweets and a shop to buy pasta or anything to take back to the airbnb. As someone who doesn't suffer from coeliac disease, but travels with someone who does, I have to say the food was amazing and could barely tell it was gluten free. Terrible service, terrible cocktails. Asked for a Moscow mule which was on their cocktail list. Got a ginger beer and god knows what else in it. When I took it back, instead of making sure they corrected a very simple cocktail they brought me a whisky and water in a dirty glass. You could tell they did this on purpose. The brioche and coffee are both great, making this an ideal spot for breakfast or coffee on a lazy weekend afternoon.
We were looking for a cafe that would be open at 6:30am as we were having a early start that day. We loved it so much that we stopped here every morning during our stay in Florence. Villa Cora is a luxurious hotel located on a hillside overlooking the cypress-filled Boboli Gardens in Florence. The large park surrounding the villa boasts over 100 varieties of roses.
What an amazing property and even more amazing staff! Thank you for making our stay feel truly special. The grounds, beautifully appointed rooms, and staff service was beyond exceptional. I highly recommend this special property.

Tremendous history and architecture. A more unique hotel with the facilities such as restaurant, bar, spa, pool are outside of the main ‘mansion’ which is used more for events or breakfast. Rooms are gorgeous in a historic way but not as convenient as modern designs. Bathroom has pedestal sink with no space for toiletries for example. Room had great sitting area but no space for luggage unless you completely unpacked. Rooftop terrace is pretty but there is no drink service. Be aware the location is a 30 min walk or short shuttle ride to Florence central.
James S — Google review
Villa Cora is simply unforgettable – a palace-like 19th-century villa with stunning gardens, perfect service, and incredible food. Rooms are spacious, elegant, and have the most comfortable beds ever. Breakfast is divine, the pool and spa are pure relaxation, and the location is ideal: peaceful yet minutes from the center. If you want the perfect Florence experience, stay here.
Gabrielecorto M — Google review
Upon arriving to Villa Cora, the grounds + the buildings are something to look at; however there are countless reasons to never stay here that are far more notable. Here are a few: - the service is abysmal. Staff act as if we are disturbing them by making simple requests such as water in the “gym.” By the way, the gym, consists of 3 20+ year old cardio equipment that barely function and a few hand weights - When staying at a 5 ⭐️ hotel, you don’t expect them to offer motel-like instant coffee in the room - The restaurant and pool pour $25 euro a glass basic prosecco that provides 3 sips + 0 snacks as almost every hotel bar/restaurant provides. It’s fine that the glasses are $25 but pour at least half a glass - Housekeeping doesn’t do a thorough job cleaning rooms, leaving old ice buckets in the room and trash on tables. When getting laundry done, takes longer than 24 hour turnaround with unclear delivery times “sometime after 8pm the following day” To sum it up, this isn’t a 5 ⭐️ hotel, and I would recommend everyone to look elsewhere when visiting Florence for a hotel that cares about customer service and mild attention to detail

Amazing experience at Villa Cora - we enjoy every part in this villa - room, lobby, breakfast, pool and free shuttle to the city. Our experience was amazing with help of Marco and Jasmin. Highly recommended to enjoy luxury stay and city sightseeing.
Nada S — Google review
We were planning a spontaneous stay at Villa Cora with my partner, deciding between two room categories that looked almost identical online. Since we often make last-minute bookings, we sometimes visit hotels in person to choose the room we like best — and in most places, staff are happy to show us available options. Here, however, we had the most unpleasant experience. The manager at the reception was extremely rude, looked at us as if we were doing something wrong, and told us to “go to the website and look at the pictures” if we wanted to see the rooms. The way she spoke felt unnecessarily disrespectful and humiliating. It’s a shame, because the property itself is beautiful, but the attitude we encountered — specifically from this receptionist — left a terrible impression. We cannot recommend this place based on such service.

Our stay at Villa Cora in Florence was, without question, the highlight of our trip to Italy. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with warmth, elegance, and an extraordinary level of service that made us feel both pampered and at home. The villa itself is breathtaking—like stepping into a private 19th-century residence filled with history, beauty, and timeless charm. Every room, hallway, and lounge is a work of art, with stunning frescoes, intricate architectural details, and classic decor that transport you to another era. The rooftop terrace overlooking Florence is incredible, especially at sunset. It’s as much a cultural experience as it is a hotel stay. Lorenzo, the head concierge, and his exceptional team curated a flawless itinerary for us, filled with unforgettable experiences. From the moment our private transfer picked us up at Santa Maria Novella station, every detail was taken care of with impeccable precision. Our guided day through Siena, a wine tasting lunch at the incredible IL Cellese winery, and an afternoon exploring San Gimignano was a perfect introduction to Tuscany’s charm. The Uffizi tour the next day was both educational and inspiring, followed by a lovely lunch at Ristorante Frescobaldi overlooking Signoria Square. One of the most memorable days Lorenzo arranged was a private cooking class and wine tasting experience in the beautiful village of Passignano, hosted by the outstanding team at Ristoro Antica Scuderia. It also included a tour of the abbey and even stylish Porsche transportation—an unforgettable blend of luxury, learning, and local flavor. And our dinner that evening at L'Atto di Vito Mollica was a fittingly exquisite end to the day. Back at Villa Cora, every moment felt indulgent—from the beautifully appointed rooms to the tranquil grounds. We especially enjoyed dinner at their Le Bistrot restaurant and the attentive service at every meal, including breakfast each day on the rear terrace of the villa, overlooking the gardens. We left Florence feeling grateful, relaxed, and inspired—all thanks to the care and thoughtfulness of the team at Villa Cora. It’s a truly exceptional place, and we can't wait to return.

We had the chance to capture a beautiful elopement at Villa Cora during the Christmas season, and it was pure magic. The whole place felt straight out of a fairytale, elegant decorations, warm lights, and that festive charm that makes winter in Florence feel so special.

Santarosa Bistrot is a unique dining spot located in the space of a historic Florentine nightclub. The restaurant features a relaxed atmosphere with a glass-enclosed interior and outdoor patio seating surrounded by aromatic plants. It has become popular among families in the morning and students and professionals in the evening, resembling a Berlin vibe more than San Frediano. Ideal for both apertivo and brunch, their Sunday Santa Lunch offers a choice of pasta dishes and other culinary delights from their menu.
Delicious unusual healthy food!! The menu is very varied. When we were here there was a large party celebrating a graduates’ accomplishment, so locals love it! We had the special of the day- a delicious blend of eggplant and tomatoes on bread and stuffed zucchini flowers with an elevated pesto? Melt in your mouth. Will return in our 5 days here to eat down the menu!

The F&B is good (not great), but the reason to visit is the vibe of the place. It is set up in a nice park, with very chilled out vibe (music, seating, etc). The service is nice and courteous. I went twice in 2 days, and had a great time on both occasions.

Cozy place with a great atmosphere… really charming! Good drinks and a nice wine list. The food looked great — though we didn’t eat there this time, so that’s still on our list. It was a bit hard to get the staff’s attention at times, even though it wasn’t super busy — but they were friendly overall, and it was a good experience. Definitely recommending the place, and we’d be happy to come back. :-)

We booked here as a first stop, first day nearby our accommodation but there is plenty of space to just rock up. Be warned, it is shut for a little while in August for holidays so glad we caught it when it was open! A little oasis in a park let off the slightly hustlely bustlely streets of the Oltrarno district. Warm welcome and calm atmosphere where you can just sit for a drink if you like. I had a delicious caesar salad, do ask for more dressing if you order as it was slightly on the dry side, and our daughter loved her fresh tomato spaghetti and husband had a substantial club sandwich. Wine was delicious and well recommended. Do stop by Santarosa as its a lovely hidden gem in this area.

The gist: this was top 3 best brunches we’ve had in Florence. My husband got the cheese omelet with mushrooms and potatoes while I (skeptically) got the (€17) club sandwich. Boy o boy was that one GOOD sandwich. It was deliciously slathered in mayo (maybe it was hollandaise?) and the FRIES omg so yum! Slightly crisp on the edges and oh so soft and potato-y on the inside! Not to mention it was quite the generous portion! (Peep the photo for the amount of delicious crisp bacon 🤤) The omelet was also yum as were the potatoes (safe to say they know their ‘taters!) and I wasn’t expecting the mushrooms to also be on the side but it worked! Finally, the Bloody Mary was very good by Italian standards. I asked for it spicier with a salt rim and I even ordered a second (it was a decadent brunch 😅) Oh wait!! We had gotten the Santa Rosina salad to share (cus, veggies) and we were almost too full to eat it but we powered through (LOL) with that second Bloody Mary and my husband’s second glass of orange wine. It, too, was decidedly good! We’ve been here many times over the years and it is continuously improving/evolving. We’ve always enjoyed the food, the wine, and the varied atmospheres. There is the proper restaurant (indoor and out), the more casual bar, and the super chill outside area with cool sitting areas. PS: idk why the video of the whole meal isn’t loading 😭

We had three sandwiches, mozzarella and ham, mozzarella and tomato, and tuna and egg. All were served in a round focaccia bread and highly liked by all of us. The cafe is very cute, with tables inside and outside, in the sun, under the roof, or parasols or trees. The vibe is a relaxed, and not so Italian (but not in any negative sense, just doesn’t feel like your typical Italian bar!) cafe. Service was a bit confusing though, as we ordered our sandwiches, and were then not asked if we wanted to drink anything and nothing was said about the payment and the people behind the bar turned right away to the next customer. I also appreciated their several vegetarian options.

Absolutely fabulous place, a bit off the beaten track and discovered by chance. Clearly a favourite with the locals we went back a second time. Lovely food even though the menu is a little limited. Food is really fabulous and the birra "Regina de la Mare (8%)" is heaven on earth - "drink responsibly" 😂

Breakfast restaurant
Rifrullo Firenze is a popular bistro known for its breakfast plates, light lunches, and aperitifs served in a relaxed setting with a charming leafy garden. It's particularly famous for its Sunday buffet brunch, offering an extensive spread of Tuscan meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, pastas, fruits, and desserts. The large secluded back patio makes it ideal for group gatherings and family get-togethers.
When I was passing by this restaurant, I took my child inside to use the restroom. I was very worried they might refuse my request since I had been turned down by other restaurants. So, I decided to buy a bottle of water. However, the staff politely pointed me towards the restroom. My child felt relieved, and then I only spent one euro on a bottle of water. I have to say, the price was very cheap. I stood at the bar waiting for my child and saw the bartender making cocktails for other customers. He was very professional, which made me tempted to try one too. I asked the bartender to make me a lady cocktail, and after asking about my preferences, he treated my drink like a piece of art. I got the best drink I've ever had in my life! I am very grateful and decided to visit again tomorrow after returning to the hotel. I recommend it to everyone because it has kind and professional staff!

Stunning secret garden for an excellent cocktail (though a bit on the small side). Our friends ordered food (taco and tagliere) and the quality was great but portion small. The smell of jasmine is absolutely enchanting. Worth checking out for an after dinner cocktail

Very cute, modern and friendly. Great brioche sandwiches and coffee. They are very busy in the morning, so if you sit at a table be patient because they have table service, no need to order at the bar.

Very disappointing experience on the terrace. A couple of customers had a speaker playing loud music right next to my table, which completely ruined the atmosphere. the waitress did nothing to address the problem or ask them to turn it down. It’s a very nice place to allow this behaviour

Had the most amazing vegetarian platter ever. In general the food is a modern take on Tuscan cuisine as well as some international plates. The service is great - charming young people who are genuinely interested in making you comfortable - and the location is a tri junction - classic Firenze with not much of the tourist crowds but lively.

The Grand Hotel Cavour in Florence is housed in a 13th-century building and offers an upscale experience. The hotel features a polished restaurant, rooftop bar, and a wine bar. Upon entering the dramatic lobby, guests are transported to the city's golden age with romantic room interiors adorned with Deco paintings, crown molding, and Juliet balconies. For a touch of modernity, visitors can explore the underground Secret Bar with its Pop Art and ambient lighting.
Returned home yesterday from a three night stay here end I just can’t fault anything. The perfect central location for exploring Florence, friendly and helpful staff and the amazing views from the rooftop terrace - what’s not to love! Our suite was very spacious, well cared for and comfortable, large bathroom and a balcony as a bonus. I would recommend this hotel to anybody planning a stay in this beautiful city and certainly will do if any friends plan such a trip. I hope to return myself again. Thanks to all the staff for a memorable stay.

Great location in the heart of the historical district. The hotel is luxurious and has a great rooftop terrace. The terrace is small so it's best to reserve a spot ahead of time. It can be quite pricey for drinks but I guess you pay for the view! The staff are very friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast as well. Overall, this is a great place to stay in Florence if you don't mind the bustle of the city center. We will definitely stay here again.
Rob F — Google review
Great location, clean and modern rooms, though a little small, and not a lot of space to organize belongings for two people. Bathrooms include a nice tub and a bidet, but the water pressure is low for hot water. The rooms were very cold, but there were notices posted in the elevators that they were not obliged by the Council of Florence to turn on the heat yet. They were kind enough to give us an extra blanket. The noise carries at times from the adjoining rooms, and there are unnecessary extra steps in the hall way for a single floor. There isn't an internal lock on the door for additional security. The lobby is beautiful and there are lots of choices of things to eat for breakfast, though the eggs and pancakes are cold, and the bacon undercooked. There is a great view from the rooftop bar.

We loved the location and look of this hotel. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go . Steps From the Duomo and definitely within walking distance of the Galleria Dell'academia, Ponte Vecchio, etc. We even did the 15 minute walk to and from the train station . Website is entirely accurate. Staff was pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a very nice hotel as opposed to an Airbnb or something at a lower price, look no further. We didn't try the restaurant, but just glancing at the breakfast set up, it looked fabulous.

What can I say?! The location is amazing, 5 minute walk from the Vecchio and Duomo (depends how quick you walk). Easily the best placed hotel in the city! The staff were absolutely incredible and the most hospitable, special credit to Gabriella who was nothing short of amazing in helping us with transfer requests and general day to day information we needed. Every single member of staff were lovely and kind, even with my poor Italian, they spoke perfect English. The food was superb, a vast array to suit any dietary needs! In regards to the room, we were in a standard room, which was also perfect, very spacious for the two of us, air-con worked perfectly, which was vital after being out in 35 degree Celsius heat all day. We were on the first floor, heard nothing from the street in terms of noise regarding nightlife/dustbin men/taxis etc, so that’s another point for the Cavour! It was my first trip to Florence, and second for my now Fiancé (Ponte Vecchio was the perfect location), and we would recommend the Grand Cavour to anyone and everyone, we will definitely be coming back!

We absolutely loved this hotel. The staff was incredibly welcoming and every day we were made to feel as if we were returning to our own home. The food is spectacular, and every attention to detail is taken to make sure that everything was perfect at breakfast. The rooftop bar and its staff are amazing, I took a photo with them but I'm not able to upload it, but the staff were a lot of fun and took great care of us!

In the heart of historic Firenze. Hotel is nice, clean everywhere. Room is nice and tidy. Bathroom got minimum space and commodity to arrange your belonging. Service is average. I’ve had a problem with the WC, they didn’t react as they should do. They ask to make reservation for the roof top. We did but once there, they accepted every body even ones without reservation. We had to wait to have a place to sit. The price of beverage is really expensive and because they ask you to leave after 1hour, you must take your drink to your room. Very strange situation

Positives: Location was fantastic for what we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Was grateful for a tub and separate shower in our suite. Nice views from rooftop bar, but was a little loud for us. Negatives: Can't easily control temperature in rooms. No pick up from train station.

Nice Tuscan Trattoria, in Santo Spirito. Excellent staff and really delicious dishes. We ordered the amazing meatballs and vegetable flan that were really great, the creamy Tuscan bean soup with pasta was amazing. Also ordered the fresh baked cannelloni, probably the best we ever had. It is really authentic. I would highly recommend it. Not touristy at all

I found this place through Reddit and it was really good. We reserved in the morning of and then it was just me and my mom. You can sit and see into the street and watch people pass by. Lovely. There's two rooms available. We went to the one that is next to the main one which was really nice. The decoration, the ambiance, and it was all really cozy and it looked very authentic and the food was really good. That was one of the best steaks I've had in my life and we shared it with my mom. We had some appetizers as well and then for dessert we tried the tiramisu. It was good but it was not the best but it was really in my top 10 I would say. The ravioli with pistachios was truly amazing. So creamy and delicious. I would definitely reserve ahead and then make sure I go there again. I can still taste the meat. It was amazing and the staff is really nice and helpful. They speak English also.

Having just got into Firenze for our first time and staying nearby… We were hungry for lunch and happened upon this place. We got there right as they opened for the day and checked out the menu… it looked appealing and the venue looked great, so we gave it a try. They have a great menu here… loaded with some great, traditional Florence dishes, as well as all the Italian favs! The service was very nice and the venue is beautiful, slightly upscale. Our server helped us quite nicely and made very nice suggestions, as well as described the menu perfectly. We started with a complimentary bowl of their bread soup which was so very tasty! Next up was to split their meatballs, which were seasoned very nicely and perfectly tender! Out entrées were excellent as well and be sure to get a side of their beans in tomato sauce, they were outstanding! Overall – Great eats here!

Best Florentine Steak bistecca in our week here! It was so good we had to have it twice. The seasoning at this place is lighter than others that we have tried, which leaves much more room for the natural taste of the beef steak to shine. The meat was so tender, not unnecessarily chewy, and the T-bone - wow - Absolute showstopper with the fragrance of fat and rare meat with a hint of marrow. It doesn’t leave you too greasy as well. Amazing and masterful Florentine steak. The roasted potatoes were cooked well but too heavily salted for our liking. House wine was good.

Would recommend this restaurant to anyone in Florence. You’ll notice this place is a little less busy than nearby restaurants, but not because it is less tasty. This is a huge place in a traditional Florence tavern with a cave-like stone ceiling. The food was so delicious — try the bean soup and flan from the appetizer menu!
Alise G — Google review
This place was so good my wife literally cried while eating it! Delicious truffle and pistachio pasta. The meat was quite rare/blue but but the taste was 10/10 The meatball appetizer was also phenomenal!

I didn't get the name of our server, I can tell you she was a little older, she was wonderful. I speak a little Italian and when I spoke to her she really took care of us. She explained the meals and how it was prepared with a mix of Italian and English. The food was exceptional, we had Pasta Fagioli, Ossobuco, and Gnocchi with a Ragu sauce. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed the meal, service and atmosphere. I hope someone reads this and I hope they figure out which server was ours. 5 stars across the board!

Their coffee is well balanced, I took Macchiato and was for me between a classic macchiato and cortado. My partner took double espresso, he liked it as well. The beans are not too soury. My partner took their Mozzarella and tomato sandwich and I took the multigrain pistachio croissant, I highly highly recommend it! It was the first time I found this combination in Florence (multigrain and pistachio) it was well balanced and didn’t give me a sugar rash. Truly outstanding service on such an incredible property. Took my mum for an afternoon tea to end our trip in Florence, glad to say it was the perfect way to end the afternoon. We were warmly welcomed and encouraged to explore the stunning property. Well, unfortunately we didn’t get to experience the actual area of the bar as it was undergoing renovations, but it was a lovely site nevertheless! The service was outstanding, and combined with Italian friendly hospitality, chefs kiss. The drinks were delicious although the size of them was a bit smaller than I would’ve liked. Food? We had a salad and a burger, the burger was fantastic but the salad was really nothing special unfortunately. So that takes 4/5 stars in the food department

The worthy first experience at Four Seasons: not only we experience the discrete and efficient service, we also being able to enjoy a nice bottle of white wine (complimentary pickles not so nice) in a beautiful and comfortable seating and finishing with a cup of coffee. The price is high, but is to balance with the luxury. The main luxury of this place is in fact not inside but outside, where we wandering in their large private park with so nice statues and trees. The Atrium Bar at the Four Seasons Florence is everything you would expect from one of the most exclusive and beautiful hotels in the city: classic, charming, and intimate, with a truly elegant atmosphere that reflects the historic grandeur of its setting. The bartenders embody what one hopes for in Italy – consummate professionals with warmth, impeccable manners, and a genuine passion for their craft. Service is both attentive and graceful, enhancing the entire experience from start to finish. As anticipated in a venue of this caliber, drinks are priced at the high end (approximately €25 per cocktail), and we initially intended to enjoy just one. But the first was so exceptionally crafted that it turned into four rounds of truly outstanding cocktails. A standout recommendation is the barrel-aged Negroni, easily one of the best we’ve ever had – balanced, deep, and perfectly executed. The Atrium Bar is the ideal place to unwind after a full day in Florence – serene, stylish, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for those seeking a refined end to their evening.

It’s an ideal spot to take a quiet break from the busy city. While on the expensive side, the experience, setting, and service make it worthwhile. A refined and relaxing afternoon treat.

We returned to the Four Seasons Florence after staying here last year, and once again it was a truly unforgettable experience. The Atrium Bar has become our favorite spot in the hotel, and this time we chose it to celebrate our daughter’s freshman year at the NYU Florence campus in Villa la Pietra. We were fortunate to be looked after by Leonardo, whose service was outstanding — gentle, funny, professional, and attentive in every detail. He even surprised our daughter with a thoughtful treat to mark this special milestone, which made the evening all the more memorable. The combination of the refined setting, warm hospitality, and Leonardo’s exceptional service made the Atrium Bar the perfect place to celebrate. We cannot recommend it highly enough, and we look forward to returning again soon.

Tucked inside the Mercato, this café is such a gem 😍 Surprisingly quiet, perfect for a quick bite and a coffee. Seating is limited, but we managed to get in by going early.

I had the most amazing experience at this café in Florence market! The coffee was absolutely outstanding — rich, flavorful, and perfectly brewed. What truly made my visit special was the incredibly friendly and warm staff! You can really feel how much they care, and it makes the whole experience even better. A true gem in the heart of Florence — I can’t wait to come back!

The Ditta cappuccino was really good. I tried some of their croissants and rice Treat/bread and both were very very good. The service was excellent. The only reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars is it was so busy (which is good sign) and no place to sit

We went excited for coffee August 21 around 11 am. Immediately from the get go we had a very rude barista that didn’t have patience to tell me the difference between a cold brew and a cold brew tonic. She rolled her eyes many times and said black coffee. I apologized and then had to show her the menu to have her see they are two different drinks on the menu. Then she answered finally but still rolled her eyes and grumpily kept saying black coffee just one with tonic water instead of regular water. I ordered 2 more drinks. I asked for an espresso over ice and she gave me a bland cold brew in its place telling me they were the same thing. I hate confrontation so nervously laughed and just took it. She was dark haired and on the heavy side. There was a woman a little shorter than her that was very nice to other customers with their questions so this particular individual I had just wasn’t fit for customer service. I was very nice to her although she was quite rude.

Nuovo Caffè Alinari is a charming bar and pastry shop conveniently situated near the train station and bus stops. The cafe's traditional appearance adds to its allure, while its freshly made pastries are a definite highlight. Whether you're just arriving or about to leave, this spot is ideal for a satisfying and sweet breakfast before your journey.
We were 4 times here during our vacation. Sandwiches and pastries were delicious, coffee (espresso) is also (dark roast), and friendly service. We didn’t have that bad experience here like others had. I recommend the croissant with prosciutto and cheese and pistachio croissant and tiramisu. I also have nut allergy so I asked what food is safe and they were super helpful .

Do not go here if you have milk allergies. I ordered an oat milk latte (it was offered on their menu) and they gave me real milk. I am in severe pain and ruined my vacation.

Very surprised at some of the low scores as we thought it perfectly acceptable. Called in for breakfast had two coffees and two croissants at the bar, very good value for money and delicious. Called again in the afternoon and had more coffee and cakes this time and again delicious. Staff very helpful and polite.

It was my terrible experience in Firenze. They spilled coffee on my hat, that was by accident so that was okay, but my they didn’t come back to clean the table nor didn’t care about it after that. BLT sandwich was too salty to eat. We had to give up to eat with one bite. We ordered banana shake, cream coffee, 2 BLT sandwich cost €32. I really don’t recommend you to go there if you want to enjoy in Firenze.
Yuki H — Google review
First time in Florence and the caffe is not reflective of the rest of Florence, food is good, service not good at all. 1.6 rating is surprisingly high. The guy at the desk should spend less time on his phone and realize he’s at work. Take orders, get them right and smile. Give a crape about your job, if not pretend to. Ordered two espressos, got one. We eat at the counter and it we got the feeling that we were taking up space, even though they give the option. Eat at other cafes in Florence and they were a lot better than this place. My advice, AVOID.

Bald guy very rude at the start and at the end. Food good but way too expensive. We bought a meal for 2 person and 2 drinks and costed us €43 for breakfast.

The Rooster Cafe is a contemporary Italian restaurant that serves steakhouse, cocktail bar, and brunch dishes. Highlights include Tuscan tastes and locally-sourced ingredients. The restaurant is warm and friendly, with casually cool setting.
This establishment is 5 stars, all the way! The service was outstanding, the food portions were gigantic, and the atmosphere of the place is absolutely spectacular! We ordered the Chicken and Waffles (portion size could feed 2 or 3, so come hungry) and the Rooster Avocado Toast (egg was poached to perfection)! The bacon is like nothing I’ve had before, so flavorful! Fresh squeezed OJ, and an iced toffee coffee for “dessert”! You should make sure to add this dining establishment to you MUST DO list!
DeDe T — Google review
We found this place after looking at reviews for a place that serves eggs… we usually eat them a few times per week but have been traveling over a month and too many sweet breakfasts or Croissants and we just really wanted eggs with toast or other egg breakfast. This cafe had the best reviews in the area so we headed here. Bobby was our waiter and he was friendly, efficient and helped us with what to order. He chatted with us but was always professional and had his eye on the door for new customers. I really appreciated his professionalism and enjoyed our conversations with him. Francis was also there to help out and he was also very friendly and helpful- thanks! The restaurant itself is very cozy and warm (in the inviting sense not temperature :) and just a nice spot to be. Husband got the breakfast burrito and I got a combo breakfast and we shared avocado bread. Everything was wonderful! Everything! The only thing that i would tweak at all is toasting of the avocado bread but the avocados were wonderful to eat and my breakfast was just what I was hoping for — a little sweet with the perfect little pancakes (I make pancakes often at home for my daughter and don’t realize how much I missed them) and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Mushrooms were wonderful as was the bacon - crispy as I like. Now my husband’s meal was even better with SO much flavor with the salsa/guacamole and everything else in that tasty burrito! Yum! He doesn’t love writing reviews but he intends to because he was craving eggs more than I was…and he loved everything from the service to the food to the environment. We weren’t really in the mood for sweet breakfast but our neighbors had some pancakes of some sort and they looked amazing. I really don’t think you can go wrong here! Enjoy!!

We went to florence for 3 nights and we ate at this place every day for different meals. Absolutely amazing food and great service. Food is amazing, such a great place for American dishes if you’re homesick during your Euro Summer! Reasonable prices, cute decor, and so many delicious smoothies/juices. Always pretty busy but wait isn’t too bad. Our server today was Bobby and he was great, super kind! Gonna miss it!

Rooster Café – Florence, IT American vibes with a local soul If you’re strolling through Florence and looking for a brunch spot that blends American-style comfort food with a sprinkle of local Italian charm, Rooster Café is a solid bet—but be ready to wait. We arrived to find a long line outside. Heads up: they don’t take reservations, so it’s first come, first served. We waited around 50 minutes before we were seated. The place itself isn’t big, but it has a cozy, laid-back atmosphere that makes the wait a little more bearable. The menu is impressively varied, leaning heavily into American brunch staples while still offering some Italian options here and there. We ordered a bit of everything: a Latte, American Coffee, Detox Smoothie, the English Breakfast, and the showstopper—“Stoners” (waffles, chicken, guac, bacon, eggs, and cheese). Everything hit the spot. Flavors were solid—I’d rate the food an 8 out of 10. Not mind-blowing, but definitely satisfying and well-executed. Portions are generous, so come hungry. Service was super quick once we got in, and our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive—shoutout to her for keeping things flowing smoothly. The bathrooms were clean, which honestly says a lot about how they run the place, and even as we left, the line outside hadn’t let up. That’s usually a good sign. Bottom line: If you’re cool with waiting a bit and craving a hearty, American-style brunch in Florence, Rooster Café is worth the hype. Great service, tasty dishes, and a chill vibe once you’re inside. Just get there early or be ready to queue—because you won’t be the only one trying to get in.

Great coffee selection - probably the only place in town that also offers matcha drinks! A wide variety of lactose free and vegetarian milk alternatives! Delicious bagels and crepes! Fresh juices!!! Great selection of smoothies! Friendly staff and very cozy place for seating! Definitely recommended!

Not a great option, and I'm confused why it has good reviews. The pancakes were overcooked, and not as fluffy as they could be. There was a good option of toppings, and the ones we had (custard and strawberry were nice). The chocolate milk was super disappointing because it was just nesquik. I like nesquik, but it should be advertised as Nesquik and the price should be reduced significantly. The staff were also quite inattentive. They would call out your drink/food order but just leave it at the bar. Several tables didn't hear their order being called, and there was no attempt to call again, so their drinks were just sitting there. It's a small place, so this seemed odd.

I wanna say that, it’s the most cutest and authentic place for breakfast at the place or on the go in Florence! This literally a hidden gem. Honestly, their crepes and their drinks are literally out of this world, they have the best flavour. Baristas pour their heart into while making drinks for us, and this place has a story to offer to people who want to feel connected with deep roots of Florence! Don’t forget this place on your next trip to Florence. Ciao!

A wide selection of coffee, chai, matcha, all the iced or hot things you might be craving! I thought the barista was really great, and everyone there is working very hard. They do get very busy, and they have polite reminders on the menu requesting that everyone bus their own table so I personally wouldn’t fault them if other guests forget to do so.

Unforgettable Dining at Nobile Bistro. This was hands down the best dining experience we had in all of Europe! Nobile Bistro is perfectly set in a bustling Florentine square where you can enjoy incredible people-watching. The personal service made us feel truly welcomed, and the food was something we’ll never forget. We enjoyed the Fuoco; Calabrian nduja and pecorino cream on toasted bread and a Terra; cherry tomatoes, pesto cream, and balsamic vinegar—both absolutely delicious. The beer selection was the perfect touch. Can’t wait to return to this gem one day. Thank you.

I had a chocolate muffin that tasted like it was from last week – definitely not fresh. The prices were quite high considering what you actually get, and the staff weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming. There are definitely better cafés in the area. Not sure why anyone would choose this one.

Poor food, very poor service and rude staff. I went with my partner for brunch here. When arriving the lady in the kitchen/cafe area seemed annoyed for us being there. We are visiting from Australia and were quiet but said hello. But after going to pay for the meal, she was angry and started yelling to the waiter who was sorting my bill. She only spoke to him in Italian and while yelling she pointed directly at me and continued to speak to him in a rude manner. He provided me with the receipt and she stormed past me outside. After paying the bill she stormed inside and out once more. I am confused as to what would cause her to be upset by us considering that we kept to ourselves and were quiet. I appreciate the waiter for having the decency to be polite when serving compared to her. We both ordered cappuccinos, I ordered the bacon egg sausage breakfast dish with potato, toast and rocket. The bacon was very salty and hard as a rock. The sausage wasn’t much better. The only redeeming quality was the rocket, toast and potatoes which were average at best. Considering I spent €22, I was pretty disappointed. My coffee was taken from my table before I finished drinking it.

Don’t enter! We are really disappointed! This is a tourist scam! The coffee were terrible. We ordered 4 coffee and it was burn and the coffee beans are have mold and the taste is terribly bad! There is a bad Aftertaste. We ordered a coffee with no foam and received 50% coffee and 50% foam inside the cup. Also- they don’t feel up the whole cup. We left the orders on the table, paid for it and left. We didn’t even finished our drinks because it was really bad! They charge us more money than the bill. We are really disappointed. Do not enter.

My husband and I came here for a quick breakfast before the Accademia. It's a beautiful spot. The staff are very welcoming and the service was prompt. We ordered cappuccinos and croissants- mine with smoked salmon and cream cheese. Both delicious. I'd come back every morning if I could!

We sat down for a late lunch on a rainy afternoon. Tables only outside. The lady preparing the salads and serving the tables was very nice. The salads were tasty with plenty ingredients (we had a Mediterranean & Nordic salad from the daily menu). We paid 15€/salad which seems a bit overpriced, but also something that comes with the tourist city.
Lujza V — Google review
Stopped for a quick coffee and croissant, both seemed quite cheaply made but we didn't mind as the croissant was only listed as costing €2.2 on the menu, paid without seeing the bill (my mistake) only to see ony bank that they charged €20!! Seems like we were definitely charged more then we should have been - not sure if this was on purpose or a mistake of the person working but we didn't feel like going back to argue over it. Will just avoid again and a lesson learned

We were in the area and were looking to grab a coffee, some pastry and some sort of a sandwich for breakfast. Looking at Google reviews, we saw this place had good ratings. It must be said that the staff was extremly friendly and coffee was great as expected. But sciacciatas were underwhelming. The pomodoro and mozzarella one had a salad that was not that fresh anymore and there were just two spices of tomato and mozzarella in there, so there was mostly bread. We ordered some pastry as well and that was good, but a bit dry. Maybe we were just unlucky or visited at the wrong time, but that doesn’t change oue subpar experience. I would still recommend this place to grab a coffee, but would skip the rest.

Wow! Good food, cute pastries, REAL fresh-squeezed orange juice just like when I was a kid in Florida in the 80s. Eggs are cooked well, and so is the bacon. We decided not to waste our time waiting in line and went into Rivarno cafe. We found a diverse menu and picked a random open faced sandwich. It was the best choice we made for breakfast in Florence. The pistacchio lattes were sublime. The ambience is unmatched and every single thing is colour-coded to perfection.

Base V Juicery is a popular vegetarian and vegan cafe with multiple locations in Florence and one in Milan. It's a go-to spot for health-conscious visitors, offering a variety of cold-pressed juices, smoothies, avocado toast, salads, wraps, soups, and plant-based meals. The menu also features delicious vegan and gluten-free treats like chocolate peanut butter cookies. Located near the Uffizi museum in Florence, it's an ideal place to recharge after exploring the city's attractions.
Pressed there daily! I had a sandwich that had too much sauce on it - while the sandwich was fresh and delicious too much oily sauce made feel a bit nauseous. The fresh green refreshing juice fixed it for me. They also have small vegan bites with no sugar, gluten, and refined sugar. Totally worthy spot if you’re trying to cut down on calories or just looking for something healthy and light.

So if you are visiting Florence - this venue has great Vegan and Gluten free Salads, Freshly squeezed juice infusions, coffee and cakes. Reasonable priced - and chilled and comfortable ambience. Visited twice it was that good. Staff are friendly and multi-Lingual. Tables and Restaurant is immaculately clean - with a window into the kitchen so you can see how everything is prepared. The toilets is also very clean with a Dyson hand dryer. American Express is also excepted

Nice place to work and snack healthily. They had a really tasty smoothie and tasty looking bowls. The lady on the teal was nice and helpful. Here's why 3 stars: The toilet had no lock and no water. See the photo of the meal I had. Though it was tasty it was very sad and fridge cold. It would do with some herbs on top or at least 1 cherry tomato cut in half to bring it up to life. The toast was cold and black. Like a charcoal one. Nothing I'd choose if I'm asked. The quinoa would do with some baking for texture and the tofu...pre-grilled would help with colour and taste. All in all it was nice to find a healthy choice with so many goodies. It is a bit of a shame that there's a lot of packaging even if eating in. Even though most of it is compostable the point is to reduce not create compostable waste that will take ages to biodegrade.

Really bad food, no flavour. I had a salad and a wrap. I found the stem of a zucchini in the salad and the wrap was all soggy and not fresh. This place really needs improvement.

Near the Uffizi, I found this charming, bright healthy option. I had the açaí bowl which is about 10-12 ounces with fresh fruit/nuts and seeds on top. It as fresh and wonderful. Then I ordered the hummus toast with cherry tomatoes and arugula on sourdough. It was so simple and delicious. There was a high quality olive oil drizzled on top. Base V offered many pre-made salads/bowls take-aways that looked incredible. The staff was so friendly and helpful. If you are gluten free or vegan/vegetarian you will have tons of options from juices, salads, bowls, or smoothies. It was nice to have a break from heavy pizza, pasta, Tuscan food. Don’t miss it if you want a relaxing, refreshing, health-conscious, and delicious meal. Also, it was affordable. **I believe you pay more to sit in the cafe than if you take it to go.** The friendly staff were good at understanding my broken Italian and many of them spoke English. I tried to order in Italian and they were kind enough to answer my questions in both Italian and English. Thank you Base V for giving this weary traveler an easy, delicious meal.

Pasticceria Chianti is a charming bakery located in the heart of Chianti, at Piazza Giacomo Matteotti in Greve. It's conveniently situated for those exploring nearby villages like Panzano, Castellina, Radda, and Gaiole. The bakery offers a delightful experience with its Tuscan delicacies and warm hospitality.
Visit and feel the Tuscan delicacies, beauty, and hospitality all together in one place. Pasticceria Chianti as its name located right in the heart of Chianti, at Piazza Giacomo Matteotti or the main Piazza at Greve in Chianti. Located on the left side, if you are facing the Basilica at the end of this unique triangle shaped Piazza, you can enjoy best pastry and probably best cappucino or espresso in the are with splendid view of the Piazza. I usually visit this pasticceria on weekend morning to have a breakfast while enjoying the Saturday Market or some expo on Sunday. I recommend to try their Bombolone (for me the best), then cornetto Nutella, torta miele, schiacciata al uva, with a cup of creamy cappucino. Surely a great boost in the morning to start your great day. Pictures tell 100 words so enjoy some pictures during my chilling moment at Greve in Chianti.

Nestled in an authentic Florentine neighborhood, Coffee Mantra is a beloved spot for locals and tourists seeking the best coffee in Florence. The cafe's strategic location near Sant'Ambrogio Market allows visitors to enjoy people-watching while sipping on a wide selection of expertly brewed coffees. Led by passionate owner/barista Giovanni, the friendly staff offers various brewing methods such as V60 pour-over, AeroPress, French press, filter coffee, and cold brew.
I ordered my first espresso after landing in Italy here and it has become a great memory. The service was excellent, we shared a pleasant conversation with the barista and he offered great advise and tips for our visit in Florence.

For my 2 weeks trip in Italy, this coffee place was definitely one of the best. Their coffee was comforting with great flavors. The server communicates in English well. Their prices were crystal clear, didn’t ripped off tourists. The cookies were yummy. The only thing was I wish they had more pastries choices.

Really arrogant guy. Would not even let me sit down while he was dialing in his espresso. I thought maybe the attitude was because he was The Coffee Guy. But after waiting with the attitude the coffee was terrible. He said blend of Brazil and Uganda. I am sure it was Brazil Cirado and Ugandan Robusta. Horrible swirl and his attitude was just silly.

This is a great place for a quick stop with a nice view and good coffee but I would not recommend going there for breakfast, the portion was an absolute joke and the price was very high for such quality and quantity. Staff are very friendly and speak perfect English. Yet this place is only good for a pastry or some coffee and nothing more. Also the place is a bit crowded, yet nothing that bothered me but it is overlooking Dante's house so you will find a lot of tourist groups and maybe listen to some nice stories

After battling our way through Florence’s endless parade of “authentic” Italian cafés, we finally struck gold with Ben Caffè. Here, artisan coffee culture isn’t just on the menu—it practically winks at you. The pastries? Divine enough to make you forget you already had three gelatos that day. The staff even managed something rarer than a Renaissance masterpiece: a genuine smile for tourists. Not smack in the middle of the tourist traps, but close enough to rescue weary explorers. The flat white was smoother than Michelangelo’s marble, the chai latte could convert even the most loyal espresso lover, and now we’re plotting our return like caffeine-fueled strategists. Love the clean outside seating; come as early as 7:30 am and enjoy it while other tourists are still yawning in bed!

Ben Caffè is a cozy specialty café in Florence and one of the best spots we found near where we stayed. The cinnamon rolls were fresh and delicious, and while I don’t drink coffee, my family loved their Americano, batch brew, and cold brew. The café was busy but the service was fast and friendly. What an incredible place! Wow!!! My partner and I swung by here for a quick lunch while we were waiting for our nearby hotel room to be ready. We saw a high-rating, but we take those ratings with a grain of salt. This restaurant deserves every one of those 5-star reviews! Our order was: Spicy Chai Latte (cold), Eggs Florentine, and the Seasonal Spanish Tasting Menu (which came with: Gazpacho, Paella, and Churro+Chocolate). The latte was delightful. Cool and refreshing. Not watered down. Almost had an horchata style to it. Delicate, not too sweet, not overpowering cinnamon flavor. Very good! The eggs Florentine was my partner’s favorite ever, and we come from a Brunch-obsessive culture, so there is a lot of competition! We were VERY impressed that every element felt light and airy. The bread was so soft and warm, the crispy crust was not too dense or hard. The eggs cooked perfectly; the yolk had a custardy drip. The egg was patted so the water of the poach didn’t make any soggy elements. The hollandaise sauce felt like they whipped the yolk which gave it thickness without density. Incredible! Last week, on our way into Italy, we spent some time in Madrid. We had gazpacho daily and paella twice when we were there. The paella and gazpacho here were better than anything we had in Madrid (which was also from 4.8+ star rated restaurants on google!) The paella had seafood in EVERY bite. The shrimp were delicately crispy outside and cooked perfectly. This place was elevated the gazpacho. Texture with crisp elements (cucumber) soft (tomato), crunch (toasted bread) was VERY impressive. My prior experiences with Gazpacho have been refreshing but not particularly special. We would normally never order it, but if it were always like this we would order it again! The tasting finished with Churro+Chocolate reimagined. The churros were like little French fries with delicious dipping chocolate. Reminiscent of the hot chocolate and churro from Madrid. It’s difficult to compare 1-to-1 because the churros are different, but they were as good as the best ever churros from Madrid! (Which were a masterpiece) Very comparable! Incredible!

This place is the best breakfast spot I have ever been to so far. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great also. We had the eggs benedict and breakfast burrito with fresh fruit. For drinks we had the matcha latte and ginseng tea. The owner suggested their orange and almond flour cake and it was AMAZING. We usually don't like citrus flavored foods but this cake was so good. Everything came out to be €50. On the pricer side but so worth it.

The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick without feeling rushed. Our food came out fast, which is always a win when you’re hungry after exploring. I have asked for an americano today and the barmen poured me filter coffee from a jug. I have specified that I want espresso+hot water on top and the barmen got upset, poured the coffee back into the jug and then charged me 4 euros for an espresso. When I asked why so much (the board at the entrance showed a different price) I was told my espresso comes by menu price and the other sign is for take away. I saw people in front of me who also had their coffee inside pay a regular price but I was charged more nonetheless. I felt really bad and scammed. He was unnecessarily rude and unfriendly. The toilet was untidy and smelly and overall matched the service. I don’t recommend this place.

FABULOUS CAFE ! Back in Sept, 2023 my wife and I enjoyed an amazing 2 week vacation in Italy spending time in Salerno ( 4 days ), Rome ( 4 days ), Bologna ( 3 days ) and Florence ( 1 day ). Our brief stay in Florence was greatly enhanced by the Hotel Berchielli and our limo tour driver Martin who showed us the beauty of Tuscany during our road trip to Bologna. We agreed that a return trip to Italy was a must. FAST FORWARD ! On March 20th, 2025 we flew into Rome and had a fun 3 days. On Sunday we took the Bullet Train to Florence for a 4 day vacation and our base for planned private guided tours. A taxi whizzed us to our accommodation on the River Arno....Hotel Berchielli of course. HARD TO BEAT ! After checking in around midday we freshened up a bit in our 5th floor king suite with a river view. LUNCH ! We decided to explore the other side of Ponte Santa Trinita...the bridge over the Arno close to our hotel. After checking out 2 or 3 eating spots we stuck our heads in here and got a big welcoming smile from Ana behind the counter. Keeping it simple we ordered 2 x double shot cappuccinos, 2 x panini sandwiches and 2 x Cannoli ( looked irresistible ). BELLISSIMO ! We sat at a little table close to the service counter. Our rich tasting small cappuccinos made expertly by Ana the barista hit the spot...so much so we ordered 2 more. The fresh made panini sandwiches tasted really great. BUT THE BEST ! At least according to my wife were the chocolate filled cannoli covered in caramel & nuts. GREAT STORY ! While enjoying lunch we told Ana about our good friend Martin also our limo tour driver who lives nearby in Tuscany. Believe it or not Martin looks just like the great John Belushi...and is from Albania as well. And then Sara told us that her homeland is also Albania....and that John Belushi is a legend there. We thanked Ana for our fabulous lunch and said we would return. LOTS TO SEE ! Over the next couple of days we toured Tuscany and Cinque Terre with our tour guide Martin...totally amazing experiences. DINNER ! We enjoyed beautiful dinners at 2 Italian restaurants not far from our hotel. THE RETURN ! On Wednesday our last full day in Florence we dropped in for lunch here after a relaxing walk along the path beside the Arno. Lovely Sara greeted us and we met Denis the owner...both from Albania. We ordered pretty much the same as the first time....2 x double shot cappuccinos, 2 x panini sandwiches and 2 x super decadent cannoli. We grabbed a table in the dining room and watched the street action through the window. Everything tasted perfectly delicious....especially the amazing cannoli. This is a great spot to relax with good quality food, great drinks and friendly service. HARD TO BEAT !

"I' Birba" is a charming café that offers superb attention and fast service. Visitors rave about the great coffee, delicious pastries, and must-try brownies. The atmosphere is delightful, making it a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or a quick snack.
This place is one of those authentic Italian places where you can get amazing coffee for incredible prices, not only is it fairly priced, it was also the best cappuccino I had in town (look at the creamy foam!!). The guy working there is also super friendly and we went there every morning for breakfast. I can highly recommend!

Came here for a quick breakfast the day we were checking out. The omelettes were decently priced and it was one of the more pocket friendly options.
