Fine dining restaurant
Fish and seafood restaurant
Tharavadu is a renowned Keralan restaurant located in Leeds, offering a modern dining experience with traditional Indian cuisine. The restaurant has been recommended by the Michelin guide for three consecutive years and is known for its authentic Keralan dishes. The menu features a variety of options including meat, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. With floor-to-ceiling windows and polished wood floors, the venue provides a contemporary setting to enjoy South Indian flavors.
Fantastic food, flavours i've never experienced before. Excellent service. Upstairs can be a bit loud with large groups dining, conversation was difficult at times but didn't spoil our enjoyment of a wonderful meal. Next time i'll request a quieter table downstairs though.

What an amazing experience. I loved the food so much, some of the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten! The vegan options are really good- their take on poppadoms are so tasty and the fried lentil rings are unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Can’t wait to go back!
Beth H — Google review
We went here for the first time after contemplating for long but oh my, the food was top level👌👌 We ordered two Kerala parathas, Meen Kootan, Kozhi Kurumulog(Chef’s Special) and it was more than enough for three people. I personally loved Chef’s special more than Meen Kootan but my friends really loved Meen Kootan. We also ordered mango lassi and Pranaya Rasam(strawberries with lime) and I really loved the fresh strawberries taste in it instead of having some syrupy taste to it. Service was so good, the people over there are so smiling, very sweet, and a person named Roni served us and he was so friendly and very attentive. Would recommend going again as well. Thank you.
PREETHIKA S — Google review
Came here on a friends recommendation and no regrets! The service was friendly and prompt, even seating is earlier than we had booked due to heavy rain outside which was nice! The food was excellent, every mouthful just made me smile, I had the seafood curry and it was spot on. Certainly be back! My only quibble was the seating we had was near the toilets and the washroom for pots, quite noisy and busy with staff moving in and out.
Jamie S — Google review
Amazing staff! Even though the place was packed with customers, everyone was attended to with such genuine smiles and great energy. As for the food , I don’t even need to say much! The crowd spoke for itself. truly lived up to the hype. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy real, delicious Kerala cuisine served with warmth and hospitality!
Kamalapriya — Google review
Visited on a bustling Monday, and it’s easy to see why it was packed! The authentic Kerala cuisine was absolutely phenomenal, with a spice blend that brought incredible depth and flavour to every dish. While it’s not the cheapest, the quality makes it worth every penny. Highly recommend for a true taste of Kerala, definitely different from the mainstream.
Ranjit C — Google review
I’m from Southampton and visited Leeds during the term break. I found this restaurant through Google reviews and decided to give it a try. The food had an authentic Kerala-style flavour with that distinct tamarind touch, which I really enjoyed. The only downside is that I found it a bit expensive compared to others.
Darshan R — Google review
Absolutely superb! The food was fantastic, beautifully presented and totally delicious - The Keralan flavours, decor and music made for a unique and memorable experience. The staff were also superb - friendly, helpful and clearly very proud of their cuisine and culture

Modern British restaurant
Ox Club is an award-winning restaurant located in Leeds city center, known for its grill cooking and elevated comfort food. The menu features a mix of à la carte, prix fixe, and brunch options with bold and creative dishes such as English asparagus with smoked lamb bacon and cornish sardines with vine leaves.
Heard about the steak and fries offer for £16 so thought we’d check it out. Steak is done perfectly to my requested liking, generous portion of chips and their in house made butter complements the meal perfectly. We also got it with peppercorn sauce which was well made and perfectly seasoned. Service is good too. First time I came for this and would come again for this deal and possibly to try other things on the menu! Very naturalistic interior and chilled atmosphere too.
G — Google review
Best British food I’ve ever had! I love all the sauces, seasoning was on point! Their menu changes too. Didn’t have to prebook if you come 6pm, I guess it’s early dinner, plenty seats. Great service, waiter gave good recommendations and very friendly, enjoyed our time there very much. My favourite was the ox heart with oyster sauce, it was an interesting texture that almost didn’t taste like heart (I’ve had chicken heart before) and the oyster sauce was creamy with a hint of oyster, I really enjoy the natural flavour of the ingredients, they were paired and chosen well. The mutton kofta itself was a bit tough and salty and in my opinion would’ve been better medium rare. The cherry tomatoes came with it were the best I’ve had, juicy and good balance of sweet and sour. The medium rare steak with pepper sauce was great too, we ordered fries on the side. Again the pepper sauce was excellent, it had a spicy kick to it, I’d buy all of their sauces. Steak was done well too. The basque cheesecake was ok, standard good cake, not too sweet.

Came for a special occasion, was great to go to Headrow house for some drinks before hand. Waiters gave good recommendations for food and made it feel really special. The steak and chips deal was delicious, it was clear that despite being one of the cheapest dishes this did not have an impact on the quality. Would definitely recommend.
Oliver W — Google review
Elevated British cuisine ⭐ The portions are not massive but the food is absolutely delicious! Such a treat. Perfect service, attentive but not overbearing. Absolutely loved it!
Aniela A — Google review
Really cool vibe in the restaurant. The menu is pretty limited and for £90 I don’t think we received enough steak for our money. The bread is insanely good and everything was tasty. Service was average and they do make a good negroni but I don’t think this warranted a £20 service charge.
Emily E — Google review
Delicious hidden gem in centre of Leeds. The service is outstanding, food is perfect, love the bbq concept. Highly recommended.
Simeon R — Google review
Not sure where this 4.7 rating came from, must be paid ads or something. The food was seriously average. I was actually shocked at how badly they managed to do the most famous Spanish dish, the padrón peppers. The skin wasn’t even cooked through, seasoning was way too salty. Took one bite and sent it back. When the waiter asked what was wrong, we told her this just isn’t how it’s supposed to be done. She shrugged and said “well, that’s padrón peppers.” We were speechless. Look, I’m no chef, but I’ve had them in Spain and this was nothing alike. As for the steak, which I assume is meant to be their signature, it wasn’t anywhere near as tender or high quality as I expected. I’ve seen their Instagram photos and I’ll give credit, whoever took those pictures is seriously talented, because the real thing is miles off. The vibe inside is decent, I’ll admit, good for a date spot, but the food was honestly poor. If you think this is the best you’ve had, maybe you just haven’t had proper food before. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but that’s the truth. And when we left, not even a goodbye from the staff. Guess they just can’t handle criticism.😅 And let’s be real, if you’re charging that kind of money, the dishes need to live up to the price tag. They absolutely didn’t. Terrible experience, won’t be coming back. Oh, and to make it worse, this was me and my partner’s two-year anniversary dinner. Couldn’t have been more disappointing.

Restaurant
The Man Behind The Curtain is a multi-space eatery located on Vicar Lane in Leeds, run by chef Michael O'Hare. The restaurant offers a signature special of steak and chips for 5 and is known for its mix of food space, beer hall, gig location, and sceney rooftop. It's also dog-friendly with fluffy pals often featured on the Instagram page.
Sublime food, exquisite surroundings, slightly unnerving but I guess that's deliberate. Had the 6 for 60 menu and worth every penny. Thank you to Michael O'Hare for giving us experiences like this to look forward to.
Les C — Google review
It'd been several years since we'd been to The Man Behind the Curtain - before it had moved from above Flannels to below it in fact. We were delighted to find that the experience and quality of food were as good as they'd been before. Ahead of our meal we enjoyed a delicious Vermouth and snacks in the lounge area before being escorted to our table for the meal proper to begin. As when we'd visited previously each of the dishes was fantastic with Emancipation once again being a highlight. The duck dish that followed it was equally good. Service was excellent and at a nice, leisurely pace so the meal never felt rushed. The surroundings and music were as impressive as ever and it was just a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend an evening. Hats off to Michael O'Hare.

We dined at TMBTC last night and what an incredible experience! The food was absolutely spot on. We opted for the standard wine pairing and the service was absolutely incredible - Tom and Dom are a real credit to the restaurant. As it was my birthday they allowed us to tour the kitchen during service to see ‘behind the curtain’! An amazing night all round and we can’t wait to see what changes the new year brings!
Monet P — Google review
We had a phenomenal first experience at the restaurant after plenty of raved recommendations. The service was highly attentive and the food was created with so much flare & flavour that cannot be faulted. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Loi M — Google review
Wow! What can I say….an excellent culinary experience. We had the taster menu with matching wine pairings and we were blown away with the food and drinks we were served. Not everything was as it seemed, but that’s the skill of the chefs and Michael O’Hare (who we actually met!). Highly recommend, it is expensive but you get what you pay for, the service from start to finish was impeccable.
Yiddo24 — Google review
First off, and surprisingly given the nature of the food, it was an utterly unpretentious experience. No stony faced waiters, no cold formal ambience, just a genuinely relaxed evening with warm and friendly staff. The kind of place (if not for the smart dress code) which makes you feel you could pop in for a quick bite to eat in your comfies! We went for the permanent collection with the prestige drinks pairing. I hadn't looked at the menu ahead of time so every time the table was reset for the next course, I was excited to see what I was going to get. And I wasn't disappointed. The food and presentation was delicious and just a whole lot of fun. My particular favourite was the pate and caviar! OK, it isn't cheap, but think of it as paying for an experience where the food is just included. We were there for about 3.5 hours in total and enjoyed every second. We were told they're due to launch a new menu, so I have no doubt we'll be back!
Lynette G — Google review
We've been wanting to come here for a couple of years and it certainly didn't disappoint. Yes; it's very expensive, the drinks menu is quite limited, but the food was like nothing we've ever eaten before. All of the dishes we're very imaginative, crazy, quirky, but most importantly delicious. We had the matched juice for each course which were equally surprising but all very tasty. The chefs clearly take pride in what they've created. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Stephen L — Google review
How many different ways can you say wow?! What an experience. Definitely worth a visit, although due to the prices not somewhere you can visit too often, unless you're rolling in money! That being said for a special occasion treat it's well worth the expenditure. Each course delighted us just as much or more than the one before it. The staff were amazing, so attentive and friendly. I can't pick any faults not even a small one. The restaurant itself is trendy and opulent. Even the toilets are decadent. What a way to spend my birthday.

Stuzzi is a trendy dining spot that brings the essence of classic Italian cuisine to life, featuring an array of delectable pasta and seafood dishes. What sets Stuzzi apart is its dynamic small plates menu, which changes weekly, inviting guests to return for new culinary adventures. The restaurant prides itself on crafting unique interpretations of traditional recipes using high-quality ingredients sourced both locally and from Italy.
Stuzzi is a fantastic value for money small plates Italian right in the middle of Leeds. You can tell that a lot of effort has been put into the menu and quality ingredients are used. The larger pasta dishes are the stars of the show, perfectly cooked pasta that you just want more of. The cocktails are also great, some fantastic combinations you wouldn't think of! The price is also really reasonable for a small plates concept. Would definitely recommend.
Josh W — Google review
If you wear Carhartt jackets and Solomon’s, this is one for you (or let’s be real, your instagram story). Booked this for an anniversary meal, having been recommended by a friend. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly, but the food didn’t live up to the expectations. I ordered 3 small plates and two mains, none of which had flavour - the mains were also incredibly salty. I’ve found Leeds is home to much tastier and better priced Italian restaurants.
Ethan D — Google review
Easily my favourite restaurant in Leeds. Whenever I have friends visiting Leeds for the first time I always take them to Stuzzi, simply the best. I go there with the highest expectations every time and they still somehow manage to impress me. Thank you team for all the amazing food I’ve had with you over the years! They always have great wine selection and recommendations, always great service and such a nice and relaxed atmosphere.
S — Google review
Fantastic service levels and an interesting and varied menu with dishes ranging in size from "amusingly tiny plate" to "that's a decent portion", some care is needed when sharing, note the "each" on some menu items, especially for the bite-sized crostini. Ingredients are clearly top level and they're combined to create some really great dishes. The cavolfiore (unexpected olive stone aside) and artichoke insulata were stand-out and the sampler pudding assortment was a real treat, at a substantial price. The sardine "fritti" was possibly the most fishy thing I've ever encountered in my life, I expected "fishy" as it's sardines but this was turned up to 11 and then some, I couldn't eat it and could taste the bite I did manage the next day. At £112 for 2, including the 12.35% service charge (worth every penny, they're top notch) and the £1.23 for a "gift tree", it felt a bit expensive for what it was but I'm so pleased to have finally experienced Stuzzi. I'd recommend it to anyone to try at least once.

Great Sunday afternoon into evening at Stuzzi. The staff were knowledgeable and welcoming. Also turned the air con down when we asked. Amazing food, it never disappoints. Dog friendly and relaxed atmosphere. One for the best spots in Leeds.
Ellen B — Google review
Love the fact the menu changes with what’s in season. We shared focaccia and olives as the antipasti, then chickpea fritters and dry cured Capocollo from the Stuzzichini section and finally slow roast pork belly and pasta with lamb ragú. All were absolutely delicious, packed with flavour and plentiful for the 3 of us. The bill included a bottle of Sauvignon blanc and was £121. Great value for the quality. We’ll definitely return.

Beer hall
Bundobust Leeds is a casual craft beer bar that offers a menu of Indian street food in a laid-back setting with bare brick walls and wooden benches. The venue, a collaboration between the owner of Bradford's The Sparrow and the chef from West Yorkshire's Gujarati restaurant Prashad, boasts a street-food vibe, DIY decor, and an impressive selection of craft beers.
The food was really excellent. We got a sharing-meal for three or four people. Can’t remember exactly but there was plenty of food and lots of variety in the dishes. Would probably visit Leeds again just to go here! The tables could be a bit bigger considering so many people get sharing meals!
Keith M — Google review
Great experience, slightly out of the ordinary with sharing platter snad street food. Shared the vegan platter and paneer, good beer on tap as well. Would definitely recommend
Andy R — Google review
“Shall we pop in here or get the next train?” Wow did we make the right choice were head No off to India in a couple of months so I joked it would be good practice. It’s actually a culinadelight of mini street food style dishes that blow ur mind. I’m a presidential member of the carnivore society but I reckon I could be very easily turned if.i lived near establishments like this. Oh yeah, cracking beers to boot 10/10.
Chris R — Google review
I really wished we lived in Leeds so we could visit more often! Every time we are in town Budobust is always top of the list of our places to visit. All the food is amazing. My favourite is the panneer tikka and my wife's is the bundo chaat. This visit was just a quick pit stop on our way for the train so just a quick snack but we will definitely be back soon!
Andy J — Google review
This place is absolutely brilliant. We moved to Leeds about six months ago, and pretty much everyone we met told us we had to try Bundobust. After finally going, we now feel a bit foolish for waiting so long!— It’s not your typical Indian restaurant. The vibe is relaxed and informal, and the food is something else — creative, exciting, and packed with flavours we’d never tried before. It’s all vegetarian (with loads of vegan options too), but trust me, you won’t miss the meat. Dishes like the Palak Koftas and Mung Bean Chatpata were total standouts. One of the best parts is that everything is designed to share, so we were able to try loads of different dishes between the three of us. The whole experience felt and different, not your standard curry night out. And if you're into beer, you're in luck — Bundobust also doubles as a great little beer spot. There’s a solid range, from crisp lagers to punchy IPAs, and even a proper bitter. My partner loved their twist on a radler — a shandy made with spiced Indian lemonade. Oh, and did I mention the value? Three of us absolutely stuffed ourselves (with drinks!) for £20 a head. Can’t argue with that. Bottom line: if you’re in Leeds and haven’t been to Bundobust yet, don’t wait like we did — just go.
Matt O — Google review
This is a find for me First time visitor to Leeds and was recommended this is nice and cheap So walked in and basically jt js branded as street food but I don’t think I have been to any part of india where some of there are sold as steeet food You pick a table and walk in and order and some food is cheap and place is full of students so I felt out The food tasted ok and I like the atmosphere Maybe as a place to try and whilst this is a vegetarian place it is ok I may not go again there
Sonny C — Google review
Really very enjoyable. I was skeptical about veggie / vegan chain place tbh. Food was delicious and tasty as well as spicy. It didn’t blow your head off. Best bhajis I’ve ever had. Tikka Paneer that’s filling and tasty. We ordered five dishes between two of us which was plenty. Also highly recommend the mango lassi drink which was insanely tasty. Only thing to watch is a round of 3 drinks was £25 and one of four drinks £32. Maybe it’s been a while since I was was out in Leeds but still a bit steep. Staff were amazing and really knowledgable about allergens which was impressive. We will be back!
FM N — Google review
Well what a fabulous lunch. The staff were informative, helpful and so obliging . The food was excellent and well presented for a street food . Also the Python beer brewed by themselves was light and clean in taste. Definitely be shouting from the roof tops about this place. Nothing like it in Halifax Thankyou guys for making this impromptu lunch so great..

Blue Sakura Leeds is a vibrant and trendy restaurant that offers an all-you-can-eat menu featuring a variety of sushi and Pan-Asian dishes, along with sake and cocktails. The establishment caters to dietary restrictions, offering gluten-free soy sauce and separate menus for dairy-free and gluten-free options.
We came for our son’s 21st birthday and had a great time! It was our first visit, but won’t be the last. We ordered drinks at the bar before being taken to our table. Then the waiting staff showed us a tablet to order our food/drinks from. There were so many items to choose from, but sashimi wasn’t available on the lunchtime menu. We proceeded to choose our dishes and the food came pretty quickly! They were fresh and hot. The sushi dishes were nicely presented. You get to choose a limited number of dishes, then wait for these to arrive. Then you can choose again. The ordering closes half an hour before your table is up. We had 1.5 hours of eating time. The ambience was nice with good background music. We would definitely return again!

Amazing food Would recommend to anyone who likes to try different food. Even if you don’t like fish or rice there are so many different dishes to try. Including chicken, noodles, traditional dishes and so much more. For those who like sushi and sashimi dishes this is the place to try Small portions to try as much as you like or reorder as you go through the menu ! Everything is ordered through an interactive tablet and the cocktails are definitely worth a try !

Blue Sakura - unusual, modern hospitality, partly shaped by its location near the Arena. You order via tablet and can keep adding to your order if you're still hungry. If you're used to chatting with waiting staff and hearing personal explanations about each dish, this place feels different. Ideal for those who just want food without overbearing attention (which, I admit, I already miss, ha ha). The food was good, though I found the selection of vegetable dishes and salads a bit limited - but that's just me, not being much of a meat-eater. Still, one of the nice spots to sit before the Arena comes alive and to enjoy a different approach to hospitality ✨

Booked the weekend evening menu for a special occasion in August. Service was impeccable from start to finish. Front of house explained how everything worked, seated us straight away, and drinks arrived quickly. Ordering is done on a tablet, and food is brought to your table as soon as it’s cooked. Everything came out hot and fresh, not like it had been sitting around. The wonton soup was perfectly umami, sushi rice well seasoned, and the nigiri clearly hand-moulded. Beef tataki could have been a touch rarer, but still excellent. King prawn tempura was freshly battered and piping hot, while the sirloin steaks were melt-in-the-mouth. The scallops were a little wet, likely from being sauced before grilling, and the udon noodles were slightly wetter than I’d prefer, but both still full of flavour. We were given a dining time limit. Although the evening slot is longer than lunch, we could have done with a bit more time to make the experience feel less rushed. Staff are very efficient, giving a polite reminder 10–15 minutes before your end time and bringing the bill a few minutes before, which keeps things moving smoothly and fairly for all guests. Left extremely satisfied and pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service.

A great birthday celebration 🥳 Blue Sakura Leeds is a brilliant spot for sushi and Asian cuisine. The all-you-can-eat setup is smooth and efficient, with fresh, high-quality dishes delivered quickly. The atmosphere is modern and lively, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. The service…we couldn’t fault it at all! The cocktails are unique and created to present the brand identity!

This is an ALL YOU CAN EAT like you’ve never seen. Order small plates direct to your table via the digital tablet provided. From rice to noodles, chicken to beef, sushi to sashimi… Blue Sakura has it all. With a wide variety of options , there is something for everyone. As a frequent gym goer, this is a great place to come and get your protein fill. My favourites are: beef skewers, seafood rice, and the fried dough at the end. I couldn’t commend more! Also, with several cherry blossom trees in the restaurant, the ambiance is wonderful.

Absolutely amazing.. a perfect blend of traditional Japanese culture with a modern spin on it.. perfect service.. impeccable food... definitely a recommendation to all to try.
Mike B — Google review
We have been keen to try this place for a while after hearing good feedback. Due to the price point and as a family of 6 we saved it for a "special occasion" visit so when it was suggested for my daughter's 16th birthday it's where we headed today. Honestly the decor is beautiful and the service was attentive and all the staff helpful and friendly. Loved the smart ordering concept on the tablet and the small plate servings allowing you a chance to try a range of dishes. Service was fast, the dishes arrived quickly after ordering. However we felt the food quality was poor. We had expected this to be higher end restaurant quality. It was not! We had 40 dishes during our lunch sitting between the 6 of us. So sampled a wide range of offerings on the menu. The rice texture and consistency in the sushi wasn't the best the rice was quite dry in many pieces. Poorly assembled and fell apart when we picked them up. It didn't taste very fresh and there are much better sushi restaurants in Leeds. I would go so far as saying you could buy better pre-made in the supermarket for a fraction of the price. The Chinese style dishes were also disappointing, really cheap tasting and textured meat. Teriyaki chicken skewers were barely edible, we had ordered 2 portions of these for our table of 6 and left them all. Think of the cheapest frozen party food. Not at all what you expect for the leading price point you pay to dine here. My favourite dish was the teriyaki mushrooms. Glad to have visited and ticked it off the list but based on the food quality we certainly won't visit again. It is just the poorest quality all you can eat buffet wrapped up in a wonderfully smart efficient ordering style. Bill cost for 6 adults lunch , 5 soft drinks & 1 cocktail £236

Riva Blu Italian Restaurant & Bar in Leeds City Centre is a vintage-chic eatery that offers Italian dishes with a modern twist, along with a cocktail bar and terrace. Located on Park Row, the iconic blue interiors transport you to the streets of Sicily.
What a great place, I love using Google maps to find places to eat, always manage to find some real nice places too. The food is amazing, portion controll is spot on, hardest part of the visit was making the choice, looks like we'll have to go back and try some more dishes. I'd definalty book as the restaurant was pretty full and Saturday, service was quick but not rushed, even had time to help with food choice. Aurora was our waitress, sorry if it's spelt wrong 😬, we enjoyed our night and thank you to all the staff and kitchen.

True Italian vibe. Place is spotless clean, serving is perfect. They are patient, explaining and helping as it might be difficult to choose from so many tasty options. You must try the pistachio tiramisu:) It’s just something different in the middle of the city.

Fantastic experience at Riva Blu last night. It was our anniversary, and the team certainly made us feel extra special. They sat us on one of the best tables in the restaurant, and adorned it with a bottle of champagne that we prepaid for - it fit the occasion perfectly. Our waitress, Aurora, was fantastic. She was very helpful and knowledgeable with the menu, very friendly and made us feel at home. Everyone was on the ball, every team member that we had an interaction with was so nice and attentive, making sure our glasses were topped up and that we were alright. The food was incredible - hands down the best carbonara I’ve ever had. They also brought out a celebration cake with desert as a surprise, it was so tasty and topped off the evening. We had a wonderful time at Riva Blu, everything was top tier. We shall definitely be returning, whether that’s another special occasion, date night or just for a spot of lunch. 10/10

Came here for my girlfriends birthday meal. The food was amazing, atmosphere lovely. BEST PART however has to be the outstanding service from the floor staff, specifically Alexis- who was kind enough to surprise us with a birthday cake, candle and song :) incredible staff member who really made our evening! :) 10/10 would recommend this place :)

What a delightful place for a celebration or even just a drink. The quality of the food is top notch and worth the trip. Staff are friendly and able to make adjustments as required. The bruschetta was strong with garlic and the tomatoes were very fresh and juicy. The chicken was thin and crispy, paired with the delicious spaghetti topped with fresh tomatoes and basil. The meal was finished off with zeppola. This is a crispy choux bun filled with sweet vanilla cream. I was able to get this without the cherries and it was perfect. We will defiantly be back when we come back to Leeds!

We had an absolutely wonderful meal here at the weekend. It was a Sunday evening so wasn't super busy which was nice. Alexis was our waitress and she was absolutely astounding. Incredible service and her knowledge on wine and the menu was brilliant. She was great and really looked after us. The food was also outstanding, I had the lasagne and it was delicious. I cannot recomend this restaurant more. Brilliant staff and a great atmosphere, I will ve going back!

Breakfast restaurant
Located in the heart of Leeds at the Victoria Quarter Arcades, The Ivy Victoria Quarter is a two-story restaurant known for its vibrant decor and British menu offerings. The restaurant's traditional green and gold Art Deco stylings create a stylish and elegant atmosphere, with outdoor seating available for sunny days. Renowned for its delectable afternoon tea, the venue features an art deco interior with gold leaf ceilings and a twenties-style bar.
We didn’t book, but decided to call in here to have a light bite and a glass of Prosecco in the outdoor dining area. The waiter, Jack, came straight over and offered us water. We chatted a little and he asked whether we were celebrating anything, and we told him that it was my birthday and that was our reason for being in Leeds. We explained we are only having a small plate because we have a meal booked later in the day. The food we had was amazing, I highly recommend the crab starter, it’s definitely a special dish. We finished our food and asked for the bill. Next, Jack walks over with a desert with a candle in it And it had a little chocolate saying happy birthday on it. I was over the moon and it made my day. I want to thank you so much for your kindness and amazing service. Jack is a credit to the Restaurant (which is absolutely stunning). A Service like this Is memorable for all the right reasons and I will probably never forget his kindness 🩷🩷🩷

We visited The Ivy, Leeds on July 16, 2025, to celebrate my daughter’s university graduation and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is beautiful, perfect for a special occasion. I had the prix fixe menu with duck salad, sea bass, side of mashed potatoes and crème brûlée — all delicious. One of my daughters had the same but chose the chocolate bombe, which was amazing too. Service was top-notch, our server was lovely and super attentive. Even the bathrooms were pretty! Highly recommend!

Thank you for the wonderful service! The food was amazing, and the place is absolutely beautiful — I was truly impressed by the décor and the kindness of the staff. Thank you for feeding us and making us feel so welcome. Two lovely ladies took our jackets, which was very thoughtful — especially as we were halfway through our journey to Scotland. All of the staff were friendly. The restaurant was bright and welcoming. Our waiter was very attentive, explained that the gift voucher value I had for a cream tea could be used on the main menu instead. We had the cream tea. It was lovely. We got a large pot of tea each and 3 fresh, warm scones with cream & jam each. We were offered an extra tea bag each as we like strong tea! As it was my birthday, the waiter brought me a giant profiterole with a candle in it. A lovely touch.

The place it self is fabulous it looks very classy, it just the service isn’t up to par with what it is. We ordered a desert the chocolate bomb, which was ok but not a wow. Portion wasn’t big either, repo ally the ice cream scoop. We also ordered morning and afternoon tea which were very light which was disappointing as the presentation was nice. Overall wouldn’t go again disappointing especially for being over 25 pounds and with 12% service charge.

Italian restaurant
Nestled in the charming suburb of Meanwood, Zucco is a contemporary Italian restaurant and bar that has quickly become a local favorite. This inviting eatery, run by brothers Rosario and Michael Leggiero, boasts an aesthetic that combines black and white floor tiles with sleek subway wall tiles and a rustic tin ceiling.
This was our first visit to this small italian restaurant in the centre of Meanwood. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient assisting with the nuances of the menu. The concept is one of sharing your dishes similar to Spanish tapes, so that's what we did. The food was unusual and delicious with good-sized portions. An all round great evening and I will certainly be going back.

The staff were so welcoming and kind, with lovely service. The restaurant itself is beautiful, it was incredibly clean with an open kitchen, so the amazing smell of the food hit you as soon as you walked in the door. The bathrooms were also great and very clean. I’ve seen consistently fantastic reviews for the food here. I was not particularly impressed, though that may be personal taste/price point:) Lots of options for all diets, great for vegetarians! Drinks, as to be expected are on the more expensive side, no beer on draught but an extensive wine menu. Easy access free parking very close by. Again cannot stress enough how great the staff were I definitely recommend trying Zucco:)

Authentic, tasty and friendly restaurant in the heart of meanwood. All the staff were incredibly hospitable, attentive and polite, and every meal we had tasted fresh, very very authentic and was of great portion size. Pricing was very fair given the high quality and good portion sizes. Lots of options of starters, mains ( including meat, fish, and vegetarian options) and desserts ! We loved the beef parpadelle, mussel pasta and Arancini ! We absolutely loved this place and will be recommending to all our friends and family ! Ideal for a date night or cosy pasta / Italian night with friends!

Laynes, located near Leeds train station, is a popular spot known for its carefully sourced and freshly roasted coffee beans. The cafe offers a vibrant and inviting workspace for students and commuters in the heart of the city center. Their menu features a variety of brunch options that lean towards lunch territory, such as smashed peas and cannellini beans on sourdough toast, Turkish eggs with garlic yogurt, sweetcorn fritters with halloumi, and more.
Lovely cafe near the railway station. Great bustling atmosphere. Busy and popular. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Coffee (flat white) was perfect. We had a light lunch and both were very tasty. The pastries on sale looked amazing! The croissants looked huge! Service was prompt and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Loved it! I came here on a whim because it's close to the station (hence the name I suppose) and I'm happy I did! The menu is varied and offers many tasty sounding dishes that cater to carnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike. There are also plenty of sweet and savoury pastries to choose from! The interior is charming and I didn't have to wait long to get a table. The staff was very friendly and helpful! And - most importantly for most - food and coffee were great! I'll definitely come back here when I'm in Leeds once more!

We went to the restaurant one day and were told there were no available tables, with a waiting time of 30–45 minutes. We decided to come back another day, earlier, and with a reservation. Two days later, we called to book but were told they don’t take reservations and to just come directly. When we arrived, they said there were no tables and that we would have to wait 15–20 minutes, even though several tables were empty both inside and outside. The staff’s attitude was not great, and unfortunately, the service was poor. The food was tasty, but you leave the restaurant smelling like cooking because the kitchen is in the middle of the place. On top of that, the noise level was so high you could barely talk and heard.

This place was an absolute delight! We stopped for lunch on a gorgeous, sunny day and the atmosphere was vibrant and busy—clearly a very popular spot. The menu had a lovely selection of food, but I was truly blown away by the amazing specialty coffee and the incredible pastries. I couldn't leave without taking some with me for later! I can't recommend this gem enough for anyone visiting Leeds. A well-deserved 5 stars! ☕

The Whitehall Restaurant & Bar in Leeds is a casual dining venue offering a diverse menu of fish, meat dishes, pasta, and pizza alongside creative cocktails and an extensive wine selection. Renowned for its exceptional carvery, the restaurant features favorites such as roast beef, corn-fed chicken breast, pork belly, and a delectable butternut squash roast. The establishment provides an elegant brunch experience with indoor and heated al-fresco dining options.
I was fortunate to be staying nearby and was pulled in by the intriguing menu filled with delights for carnivores like myself and choices for my vegetarian wife. We were both impressed with the quality of the food and the friendliness of our servers. There was little wait for our food, but each dish was cooked to perfection. The Venison Wellington was a standout dish for me, and I found it paired quite well with a side order of scalloped potatoes. We left full, happy, and looking forward to the next visit! Thanks to all the staff!

We were a walk-in today, wanted to try their Sunday roast, pictures and reviews we read were decent. Managed to get a table but was asked if we'd mind agreeing to a limited time, which wasn't a problem. I would recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment. Service was good, very attentive, food was excellent, we had Beef and Pork, both cooked perfectly. Came with a side of cauliflower cheese and extra gravy. Portion size was enough for us, very happy with our visit.

First visit to this large restaurant on Whitehall Road; at the foot of that tower that’s had so many problems with the cladding. Now scaffolding free, it made me notice this place afresh. Inside the restaurant is bright and airy, white walls and marble floors. There’s a nice vibe in here of an evening. Chill yet traditional. You sense the meal will be good. Nice big menu with lots of choice. Pizza, pasta and steak. Also fish. Opted for the venison wellington; I love venison and it sounded like a dish that would be rich and hearty. Not wrong, a beautiful (and big) portion of perfectly pink venison in a light and flaky crust. Wow, could eat that all day. So very rich with a hearty sauce, turnip to the side. I wish more places would use game. The chef here clearly knows his meat. Excellent. The steak must be fantastic. Reasonably priced as well. The beer was Moretti; as it should be when it isn’t Peroni. Definitely recommend giving this place a try next time you’re in town. They do specials too, so a chance at finding something unexpected and intriguing on the menu. Always welcome. Two paws up. Well done.

Highly recommend this restaurant. We held my Mum's 60th here in August, everything was fantastic. Booking via phone was easy, very accommodating for a group of 14 and two high chairs, only a credit card needed to secure the booking. We had a choice of a set menu or a la carte, no ordering in advance or requirement to all eat from the same menu. Very flexible. It's rare to find a restaurant nowadays where you feel completely satisifed with everything but The Whitehall exceeded my expectations! The scallops to start were 10/10...cooked to perfection in a beautiful sauce, I could eat them every day. The pork duo main was delicious, cooked perfectly and well seasoned, good portion size with enough room for dessert. Every single person in our party said their food was fantastic. The menu has so much choice, it really was difficult to choose. The staff were all so attentive, friendly and helpful, they helped decorate the table, topped our glasses up without leaving us waiting and really couldn't have done any more for us. The wine waiter had some good suggestions too. This restaurant is perfect for a group, it's open and modern so can be noisy but it was unpretentious and classy. I wish we lived in Leeds, we would visit all the time. We had a really enjoyable experience and felt it was very reasonably priced. A must visit in Leeds.

Eat Your Greens is a versatile establishment that operates as both a grocery store and a restaurant with a wine bar. During the day, it functions as a greengrocer offering organic produce and gifting items from local suppliers. At night, it transforms into an eatery serving up delectable dishes made from largely organic ingredients.
Calm atmosphere, friendly staff, and genuinely some of the best vegan dishes I've had in some time. While the price point is higher than I usually go for, the vegan options on the menu (around 80%) were well worth the price. I highly recommend the Farinata, the Greens, and the pecan pie. I'll say it again - make sure to leave room for the pecan pie. Beautifully presented and absolutely delightful.

Two of us popped in on the off chance without a booking on a busy Saturday night, and they were brilliant about finding us a table. We really liked their online-only menu – a great idea for a restaurant that clearly focuses on fresh, changing dishes. The quality of the food is outstanding. The Empire Cafe, located on Fish Street in Leeds, has quickly become a popular spot for locals and food enthusiasts. The cafe offers a laid-back atmosphere perfect for lunch or an indulgent evening date. Known for its famous wall of flame rotisserie chicken, the cafe also serves innovative small plates and breakfast options. The service is excellent, and the food is well-executed and interesting. With a cool vibe and an ever-changing selection of small plates, this quirky restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
On a very quiet Wednesday in Leeds, this place was busy and for good reason. The staff are fantastic and very knowledgeable, the food amazing. We both had the rotisserie chicken with different flavours. Both were melt in your mouth delicious. The roast potatoes, perfection! I can see why this place is so popular.

We managed to get a late-night booking at The Hidden Gems of Leeds, which was the only time slot available. Although we were seated at a high table which made dining a bit uncomfortable. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent. The ambiance was lively, and there was a great selection of drinks and wines to choose from. Food-wise, I’d rate the experience a 7 out of 10. The standout dish was definitely the roast chicken—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. On the other hand, the steak was fresh but unfortunately lacked taste. The staff were absolutely lovely and attentive throughout the night, adding a personal touch to the service. I’d happily return just for that roast chicken!
Sirilak W — Google review
The meal kicked off with the Spam Pakora, an inspired fusion dish that immediately set a high bar. The batter was remarkably light—airy and crisp, acting as the perfect counterpoint to the savory, salty filling. What truly elevated this starter was the accompaniment: a beautiful egg yolk jam. This unique condiment, which was a first for us, The cocktails went down a treat, acting as the vibrant background music to the food. Their quality clearly matched the kitchen’s own precision. Alongside the starter, the Caesar Salad was a triumph of freshness. The lettuce was impeccably crisp, but the most memorable addition was the crispy anchovies. Rather than being mixed into the dressing, these provided a powerful, salty crunch that transformed the familiar side into a thrilling, textural experience. The Half Chicken was nothing short of excellent. It was cooked with precision, resulting in meat that was beautifully moist and perfectly tasty. The fabulous desserts provided the perfect conclusion. The choice of a gorgeous Crème Brûlée sealed the deal. The sugar crust had that wonderful, audible snap, giving way to a rich, silky custard that was creamy without being heavy. It was a textbook execution of a beloved dessert, leaving us completely satisfied. Verdict: From the daring egg yolk jam on the Spam Pakora to the surprisingly delicious crispy anchovies on the Caesar, this meal demonstrated a strong commitment to quality ingredients and innovative detail. We highly recommend

Empire Cafe – A Hidden Gem in Leeds ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wow. I honestly can’t put into words how impressed I am with Empire Cafe. This place is an absolute hidden gem in Leeds. I’ve eaten in many places around the world, but this stands out as something truly special. The food was nothing short of stunning — every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right, but Empire Cafe absolutely delivers. What really made the experience even better was the service. Mark, our server, was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. He’s a real credit to the restaurant, and the entire team showed some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. If I could give 20 out of 10, I would. Without a doubt a 5-star experience. Please do yourself a favour and give this place a try — I was completely blown away. We’ll definitely be back very soon. Kindest regards, Charles

Simply stunning. My pals and I will be talking about this for a long time. We had the rotisserie chicken, streak and ribs from the main menu which were all cooked impeccably. The starters were really great. On the menu when we went there was duck eclair which was rich and a lot of fun. Plus venison vindaloo. My mate said it was the best dish he has ever had. High praise! Beautifully cooked venison, delicately spiced with a tangy sauce. Service was also top notch, friendly and relaxed. Definitely go! But make sure you book as it is popular.

This is a terrific place to go visit just for their gorgeous rotisserie chicken. It has a small, very cosy, inside seating area where you can sit next to the open kitchen, drooling at the chicken you're about to order. Another seating area downstairs (no where near as cosy) and a few tables outside, great for when the weather's good. Best chicken I've had in the city. Highly recommend.

The hotel boasts sleek and luxurious decor with modern fittings, making it one of the most stylish accommodations in Leeds. Guests can enjoy high-end amenities such as high thread-count cotton sheets, 48-inch digital TVs with Sky and Sky Sports, and indulgent monsoon showers.
I stayed at Dakota this month for three nights for my wedding. We booked the biggest suite in the hotel and it was absolutely amazing. The team here are something special, they all care about their job so much and made our and our guests experience an absolute joy. The suite was worth every single penny and is truly luxurious. Without a doubt this is the best hotel in all of Leeds and surrounding areas. I will recommend you to everyone. Thank you so so much for making our wedding stay one to remember forever ❤️❤️

Outstanding , is the word that describes our stay. We stayed on the Sunday deal that includes breakfast and late check out. The Hotel check in staff have exceptional customer service skills. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and smells amazing. Room was beautiful. Bar ambience was good. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return

I have been several times now for food, and each time the service and food has been absolutely faultless and Dakota is my favourite places to dine out in Leeds. Most recently I went for Sunday Lunch and the experience again lived up to the standard of all my previous visits. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A special shoutout to our host Annie, who was absolutely fantastic: friendly, professional, and helpful throughout. The meal itself was a delight. We opted for the three-course Sunday lunch, and at just £40 per person, it was exceptional value. Every dish was beautifully presented, packed with flavour and great portion size. The sticky toffee pudding is a must to try if you go. The venue itself also needs a shout out as it's just as impressive as the food. Stylish, modern, and contemporary. It offers a sleek yet cosy atmosphere and is leagues above most other restaurants in Leeds. I honestly can't recommend dining at Dakota enough and I can't wait to go back for my next visit.

A great hotel in the centre of Leeds. A fine serving breakfast (although better options available nearby). Staff are excellent and incredibly accommodating, even accepting a parcel I’d shipped prior to arriving. Only area for improvement would be a few more basic amenities in the room such as cotton buds in the bathroom and a mini fridge for keeping water cold. Loved our stay and would happily return!

We hosted our evening reception of our wedding here and what can I say. Best night of our lives. Our goal was to have a party, and it was just that!! From the get go, Alistair was amazing when it came to planning. We knew that we were going to be having our wedding lunch over at RBG, so we were arriving from 7pm on the evening. The planning was seamless. The communication was brilliant and I never once had any doubt or fear on Dakota (which as a bride LOL it can be real). We had meetings and catch ups about running of the night, and the team accommodated all of our requests which is great. We had the whole of the downstairs restaurant. We had the DJ set up by the bar without tables, which served as the best dance floor, and kept seating around the other side with the booths. We had a photo-booth in one of the rooms which is always a winner at a wedding. We had canapés come round in the evening (which were delicious), along with our wedding cake being served (which Chef cut up and sorted out for us - thanks Chef!!). The team working on the night were great - they were so nice, and on such a high along with everyone else. Shout out to George, Kyha, Jaden, Asher, Georgia, Fathia and Adelaide!! We have absolutely no faults with Dakota, it was so much fun and I wish we could do it all over again. The vibes were so high that my husband’s uncle actually thought we were in a club. Goal of having a party: completed, and then some!

Decorated beautifully and very comfortable hotel with a great bed and genuinely professional staff. They really do pay attention to their guests. After resolving a small housekeeping issue, they quietly included the cost of my afternoon tea within my breakfast package, so I didn’t have to pay extra. A lovely, subtle gesture which is really thoughtful touch!

Sunday lunch was absolutely incredible. José couldn't do enough for me. Such a great guy. Possibly the best dinner in Leeds. Thankyou to all the staff. Will definitely be coming back. 👌👌👌
Daniel B — Google review
The only good thing about the hotel is the location and the comfortable bed. Upon check in, we discovered that both the bed and the shower were full of little hairs, I’m guessing left over from the previous guests. We complained and a member of the housekeeping team came to change the bed sheets. While changing them, she dropped our new pillowcases on the floor and did not offer to bring fresh ones. When I looked at the pillowcase afterwards, it had holes in it… Towels on our first day were clean, but one of the ones we got on the second day had quite a lot of brown stains, and some brown particles on them which is absolutely unacceptable for any hotel, nevermind a 5-star one. We took photos of everything and complained when checking out, but the member of the reception team did not seem bothered or even surprised by what we told them. Such a shame since we do travel often to Leeds and were looking for a hotel to stay over. It will not be this one.

Chinese restaurant
Tattu Leeds is a stunning restaurant that pays close attention to detail, offering contemporary Chinese cuisine with a blend of traditional and modern flavors. The restaurant's design takes guests on a sensory journey from the East to the West, featuring dark woods, rich lighting, and a signature pink blossom tree. With an upcoming addition to their menu like the Char Sui Monkfish and an array of meaningful cocktails, Tattu Leeds offers a unique dining experience.
A great night out at Tattu Leeds From the moment we walked in, we were really impressed. The place looks amazing — the decoration is beautiful and the whole vibe is perfect for a nice evening out (and great for photos too!). The food was delicious, full of flavour and really well presented. But what made the whole experience even better was the service. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, and they paid attention to all the little details without being over the top. Shout out to Millie, who looked after us, she was fantastic. She knew the menu really well and took the time to explain things and make sure we felt comfortable with our choices. Really appreciated how patient and helpful she was. All in all, it was a lovely experience and definitely good value for money. Would absolutely recommend and can’t wait to go back!

I had a wonderful lunch today with my friends and everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Our waiter Deriel was absolutely brilliant. He was friendly, attentive, and gave us great recommendations that made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food and outstanding hospitality. We'll definitely be coming back!

Genuinely some of the best and friendliest service I have ever had. Front of house and the bar were very welcoming. Ryan was waiting on my table and was brilliant, offering some really good recommendations as well as some general chit chat. Food was fantastic. Scallop skewers and black pepper beef fillet my highlights. I had 2 small plates, 1 main, 1 side, dining solo. Arguably did not need the side of rice.
CRF — Google review
The restaurant is beautiful with the blossom tree and clever use of mirrors, which made it feel bigger without losing the intimate feeling. The service was possibly a little over keen, with the waiter checking in a little too often but then that is better than being ignored and he was super helpful, explaining each dish as it arrived. We went for the 2 course set menu at £29.95 each. We had pork dumplings and wild mushroom and black truffle spring rolls for starters, which were both delicious. We also added XO scallop skewers (not on the set menu) which were cooked perfectly. For main we both had wok fried angry bird, which comes with complimentary jasmine rice. We added a side of spicy noodles and Chinese green beans. There was an abundance of food and we didn't manage to finish the green beans and rice, though the waiter offered to box them up for us. The angry bird was really tasty and initially seemed not too spicy, until I mistakenly ate a large piece of chilli, so be careful! I had 2 glasses of savignon blanc, whilst my partner had 2 crouching tigers and a brandy to finish. The meal came to £176, with drinks being around £15 each and the service charge already added. The only real negative was the monotonous music that was playing constantly, not an actual song just really repetitive tunes, none of which you would know. All in all, I would recommend Tattu but would be sure to book after pay day!

Loved this place!!! ❤️❤️❤️ The place is vibrant and lovely. The decorations are top quality and the place has an awesome vibe. Feels like a true experince. The food is good. The platter was amazing, the meat including the steak was good and their dessert sharer was awesome. Drink wise they have all the good stuff. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely delicious meal from their pre 5.30 reasonable menu with some extra dishes. Pork Belly and Scallop starters were stand out and the mains were also excellent - with duck egg fried rice, something so fairly simple but a lovely accompaniment. Denise G was our attentive waitress. A perfect birthday meal. We'll be back.

Prashad is a vibrant and intimate restaurant that offers South Indian and Gujarati vegetarian cuisine. It has been serving superbly spiced dishes since 1992, with flavors that are precise yet lively and portions that are generous. The restaurant is known for its Michelin-approved Indian vegetarian food and is located in a converted pub between Bradford and Leeds. Prashad's menu features an intricate mix of traditional and new Gujarati dishes, all made with the very best local ingredients.
What a gorgeous place. The staff were lovely and attentive, answering our questions about the food and offering recommendations. The food is just beautiful, both in taste and visually.

Had a really great time at Prashad with my colleagues. The starters were great! Its impressive- the innovation of food with veg ingredients. We had Kopra pethis (which seemed a great innovation), chat is really fabulous, and also Paneer Gulla. For mains we had Renghan Wattan (Aubergine curry)- which was really different but tasty varient of aubergine curry. Paneer and Chatta Biryani And also the fixed price menu- which had kanda bhaji and thali with variety of tasty items (paneer, tadka dal, Palak mushroom, boondi, etc) and masala dosa Overall a really great experience 😊👍🏼

Visited the restaurant as it was highly recommended. Made reservations for a Friday night and the place wasn’t very busy. We ordered the Maharani Thali, while the food was good but nothing really stood out. Also surprisingly the people in the group were served different ‘currys and starters’ which seemed a bit odd! I suppose this would be great for sharing! Overall, I would rate it as good, and can visit, it not necessarily the 1st or 2nd option when choosing a restaurant.

We had the tasting menu, though considerably more than the other menu items, for a tasting menu it was reasonably priced. The food was fantastic. At least half burst with flavour and really hit multiple tastbuds. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Hope to go again.

Amazing. Treat yourself to an education in food, service and surroundings. My two starter courses were nothing short of excellent. Standards of service here are very very good. You are well attended, helped and served. Any questions about the truly stunning menu were answered with care and consideration. My main course was not as I had expected and totally my fault, but, having said that, presentation was quite special. This restaurant is definitely worth trying even if you are not a vegetarian. Your taste buds will be challenged yet delighted. A thoroughly enjoyable experience from entrance to exit. Thanks to all concerned at Prashad. We will definitely return.

Bill's Leeds Restaurant offers a diverse dining experience with separate menus for breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch, and dinner. The contemporary European chain presents an array of comforting mains such as Buttermilk Chicken Burger and Black Gold Burger with unique ingredients like chipotle mayonnaise and black truffle fondue. The restaurant also boasts a selection of wines, beers, and classic cocktails.
We tried Bill's for the first time today. The menu had lots of interesting items. I had the crispy duck and BBQ bacon fries. Both items had a spicy kick to it which I'm not sure was necessary. We tried the bottomless pancakes - which were amazing and so filling; My favourite was the Biscoff. The bill automatically includes a service charge, but we found our servers to be very friendly and attentive, especially Kalila. We will be back again ❤️

We had a good meal here on a busy Saturday. We managed to get in for a table of four after the afternoon rush. We waited a little while for drinks to arrive, but the food came pretty quickly after that. We had a good mix of dishes between us from the crispy duck salad, pancakes, steak and eggs and a chicken burger. We all really enjoyed our food and thought the price was pretty reasonable too.

Bills Leeds. Incredible food, with large portions and great quality throughout. The menu has a vast selection of items, with something to suit everyone. I also had the tropical smoothie and the elderflower lemonade, both of which tasted great, but the portion size didn’t really reflect the price which was a little disappointing. The venue itself was very busy but had a great atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly, and payment was made even easier with the QR code system which worked seamlessly. There are also plenty of offers available online which makes it even better value. Overall, a great experience and one I’d happily recommend.

Very dimly lit, was difficult to read the menu. Had to order drinks 3 times before they arrived. Asked for ketchup never arrived. Ribs were cold and the Thai green curry had 4 tiny pieces of chicken. Burger looked like a happy meal. Staff slow yet not busy. Only positive was the beer was good

Kendells Bistro is an authentic French restaurant located in Leeds, offering a charming and rustic ambiance with exposed brick walls, flickering candles, and an open kitchen where Chef Patron Steve Kendell showcases his culinary skills. The menu features classic French dishes such as Canard aux Cassis and Longue de Venaison, showcasing a wide range of delightful flavors. The restaurant's warm candlelit tables create a romantic atmosphere for an exceptional dining experience.
Very traditional internal decor considering its in a modern building. Food was good quality. Service was nice as well as polite. We had some of our party arrive late so the waiter explained the timings on food which was helpful. However as good as the main courses were the complimentary bread whilst we waited was the star showing. Absolutely beautiful I'd happily sit with a bowl of soup and a pile of that bread. As some say it's dark, however it's clear from the pictures the environment is set up like that.

We have ordered tea time set menu. Portion okay even though it is french cuisine. Causal and informal without sacrifice on food quality. A bit too dark. For people need reading in good light, better read menu before coming.😂 Mood for chatting is fabulous. Staff are nice and well trained.
Daniel S — Google review
For our 3rd wedding anniversary celebration, I chose Kendell’s Bistro after seeing it pop up in my social media. After several years of visiting my sister in Paris, I love French food. As soon I stepped through the door, I was in France! From the candle lit tables to the mouthwatering menu. Kendell’s Bistro is as good as, if not even better, than some of the places I have eaten in Paris. It did not disappoint. Obviously, I had to start with the French onion soup. My husband had duck liver pate. For our main, we both chose the slow roast duck leg with dauphinoise potato’s and green beans. I was really looking forward to having a dessert but I was so full from starter and main, I couldn’t let myself not appreciate the dessert to its full potential. So it was a lovely surprise when we received our bill, the staff looking after us, made our visit even more special with two complimentary petit fours that were presented beautifully on a slate that read “Bon anniversaire”. It was a lovely touch to an already wonderful first experience here. Next time, I will either share or skip the starter, as I have the sweetest tooth and I need to try the desserts! The mocktail I had was so tasty. Overall, I can’t wait to visit again. I’ll definitely bring my sister and her French partner when they next visit England. I cannot wait to share the experience of Kendell’s Bistro with them. I especially think her French partner will love to see sticky toffee pudding on the menu! Overall, to summarise my review, the atmosphere, service from wonderful staff and the food were 10/10. One word - flawless! I’m already excited for our next visit. A true Leeds hidden gem which I won’t keep to myself.

Went here for my birthday meal. I won't write a chapter about the experience but I will say - just brilliant! From arriving to leaving the staff were attentive but not pushy. Didn't have a booking, we had just been to the arena for an event and even though they close at 11.30 they still let is in at 10.45. Place was quite busy and considering the arena had just emptied, think we were lucky to get in. Food was amazing, I'm don't normally go for Indian food, so it helps when it's good and tasty. Service was amazing and checked on us regularly for drinks. As the chefs left they also spoke to us and asked how the meal was, lovley place and we'll worth a vist.

Bit of an experience the atmosphere and environment and set up of the restaurant was very beautiful and stunning. When you were seated it was it was very comfortable unfortunately our service staff member were still in training, so It’s understandable there would be a certain amount of mistakes, but it took us 2 1/2 hours to have our starters Main and deserts. Service staff often forgot to take our order or even put it into the kitchen. The soup and other starters that we ordered were absolutely phenomenal. my Main’s was on the other side of the scale. I had ordered fish, it had scales, served in a Chipped plate with sharp edge and I believe that it was not steamed correctly. Unfortunately it made me not want to continue with the meal, but didn’t want to spoil it for my friend that had gone along with me so we had deserts and we headed back. The staff member that did the upmost to provide a positive experience was Marvilla she was absolutely lovely and was trying her upmost to help me with placing the orders and Corrected all the mistakes that had come into play. when I spoke to the manager, it felt like he downplayed everything and didn’t take my concern seriously. The overall experience for me and my friend is that the food is good definitely on the pricey side but customer service may not be as good as other places.

I came from London for an event here, and the experience was disappointing. The service was poor and it was clear the staff could not handle the number of people. Some of the dishes arrived cold, and a few of our orders were completely forgotten. I had to remind them about my drink several times and eventually had to go to the bar myself to order multiple times, which is ridiculous. The food itself was decent, but overall it seems they struggle to cater for a large group.

We visited Sukhothai in Leeds for my partner’s best friend’s leaving do, starting the night by lining our stomachs with some good food. The restaurant is unmissable from the outside ,large, inviting, and beautifully presented. The welcome from the host was warm and attentive. We had a booking for a party of 20, and since we arrived early, we were asked to wait at the bar until the rest of the group joined us. We ordered Chang beers, which were very nice and surprisingly refreshing. Once everyone arrived, we were seated, and I have to say the décor is absolutely stunning. You can even see the chefs cooking through a window, and they give you a friendly wave and smile as they work. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and kind, and the service overall was impressively fast. As for the food well 10/10 for me!! The flavours were absolutely incredible. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in Leeds. They’re also open for lunch. Highly recommended

We recently dined at Sukhothai in Leeds and was completely blown away by the experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere and aromatic scents promised an authentic Thai culinary journey - and it absolutely delivered. The menu offers an incredible variety of classic dishes, all bursting with fresh, vibrant flavours. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced - just the right mix of sweet, sour and nutty - while the Green Curry had that ideal creamy richness with a kick of spice. Service was attentive and friendly, with staff happy to recommend dishes and check spice preferences and allergies. The restaurant itself has a lovely modern yet cosy vibe, making it great for both casual meals and special occasions. With generous portions, reasonable prices and truly authentic taste, Sukhothai has become my new go-to for Thai food in Leeds. Can't recommend it enough - I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu!

As soon as we have walked in, we were greeted by staff and offered a drink at the bar and shown to our table. Our waitress, she was very friendly professional and helpful. Food was great. The only reason they have lost a star was the roast potatoes on the Sunday dinner option unfortunately they were not up to their standard. We will definitely be back.

Ooooh Soo yum. Dined with my family late one evening and the team was amazing. Adrian, our server , recommended the 'Salmon Tiradito' which did not disappoint. In fact, my tastebuds were not prepared for the level of delictability that they incurred eating this starter. This was followed by the steak and frites main, an excellent offer of great value for money with a steak cooked to perfection (medium-rare) accompanied by an exquisite peppercorn sauce. A mon avis, food is great when I can get lost in conversation and still enjoy my meal even though it has gone cold. IYKYK. Now to the cocktail. Many a 'Singapore Sling' I have tried throughout the city of Leeds, and Maurizio's was second to none. Whilst obviously quality of ingredients has an effect of the precision of the cocktail, some mixologists have it and some don't. Here at The Restaurant Bar & Grill, Maurizio has it! Bravo sir, Bravo. Unfortunately I forgot to get the Matre'd's name, (tall with dark hair) but having dined previously, he always gives the feeling of being welcomed. Whilst moving around smoothly, he doesnt miss a beat, or call for service. Polite, effecient, with a kind smile it is always a pleasure to be attended to by this gentleman. Overall, food and service here is exceptional, and I can be quite a difficult person to please. Thank you to the entire team that made our evening a special one.

Had a lovely meal from the lunch menu. Chose Chicken Skewers to start, Fish and Chips and ended with Sticky Toffee Pudding. All food was very tasty, well presented and enjoyed! Forgot to photograph pudding but it was lush. Service very good and surroundings in restaurant pleasant.

Really fantastic meal!! We came for a quick bite to eat but couldn’t resist the Roast Sharing platter which ended up being 10/10! Maria looked after us so well and was so friendly and attentive, she made the meal even better!

What can I say about the wedding my husband and I hosted here at the end of September. It was honestly great. The best day of my life, and hosting our wedding lunch at RBG was so much fun. From the get go, the team were amazing. Simon was so on it with communication (which when you’re planning a wedding is maybe the biggest thing - people who don’t reply really put the fear in you, but RBG was the complete opposite!). The team on the day were great - Sadie, Adrian, Ivan and Sonja. Super attentive and made the experience really seamless. Everything that we requested the team more than happy to do - for example have preordered wine / beer on a table at the back instead of on all the tables. It sounds like a tiny request but made such a big difference and made guests super social and move about! With RBG hosting events and catering to a lot of people, this is really their bread and butter, and made us so happy that everything was smooth and easy. We had about 70 guests on the day and you could tell the staff do this day in day out as they were so professional, and were so cool and collected with a large ( slightly *probably* rowdy) wedding party. As we had wedding decor, we were able to drop that off the day before and they cracked on with setting up for us. Everything looked great!! They also packed everything away for us as well when we came to collect the day after. From speaking to all of our guests, they all loved their food options. We decided to go down the route of letting them choose ahead of the day and I think that really paid off as everyone was eating exactly what they wanted - if you’re going to plan a Leeds city wedding, I would 100% recommend doing your wedding lunch here!! Everyone had a wonderful time, and so did we. Literally such a fun day and I wish we could do it all over again!

Angelica & Crafthouse is a stylish and modern brasserie located on the sixth floor of Trinity Leeds, offering panoramic city views from its wraparound terrace. The glass-walled restaurant features a small terrace menu with delectable options like chargrilled tiger prawns, roasted garlic arancini, and a charcuterie board.
On the sixth floor of the Trinity arcade shopping centre. The two additional flights of stairs are well worth it. Fantastic views of Leeds. A wide range of cocktails and a few beer options thrown in make it a great place to stop by if you are close. I opted for the Pinky Promise cocktail, surprisingly came with candy floss.

This is in the heart of Trinity. A really fancy looking restaurant for celebrations. Service was prompt. Food was a bit of a let down with the taste but the dessert was divine. Good price for a three course meal, would be nicer if a drink was added.

We had a great bottomless brunch last week! I had to leave a review just because every single member of staff were so great! From bar to the runner staff and management, they really made the afternoon lovely and we will definitely be returning because they were so attentive and pleasant.

We have been here quite a few times now and like to visit on a Thursday or Friday afternoon before the weekend crowds descend on the City centre. On our last visit we ordered a selection of nibbles to put us on and I think the choices we made were perfect . We especially liked the cod cheeks. John doesn't like Oysters but I couldn't resist the offer that they had on of 6 Lindisfarne Oysters and 2 glasses of @nyetimber for £34. The oysters were the biggest I have ever seen and they were yummy. Angelica's has a great happy hour that is actually 4 hours long. My favourite was the frozen pina colada and John opted for the frozen strawberry daiquiri. It's so nice to sit outside on the rooftop terrace and it's not a problem if it's a little chilly as there are heaters under the parasols.

Very nice place with good terrace view on Leeds. Inside restaurant looks pretty and modern. Perfect place for date. Staff are friendly and desserts is tasty. You can feel full flavour of food what you order. Defently will come back on next visit in Leeds.

Noticed this place by accident looking through the roof of the Trinity shopping centre. What a lovely time we had. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. I loved the chilled out music. Excellent service from Charlotte and amazing food. I had fillet steak which was cooked just how I like it and was very tender and tasty. Will definitely be going back again.

What a fantastic place for a summer’s afternoon! Sat outside with the views is the perfect retreat from the city bustle and the planes passing overhead add a nice yet unobtrusive mix to the environment. Decor is brilliant, staff are super friendly and helpful and everywhere is clean. The menu choice is varied, with prices not too ridiculous, and they are willing to make up drinks not listed on the menu. It’d be difficult to ‘stumble’ across this place, but if you’re looking for some nice relaxing drinks in a sophisticated setting I’d highly recommend navigating the crowds below to visit.

A really fantastic bar, great food, and incredible service from staff. The host is always warm and welcoming, as are the wait staff. The food offerings are good, although starters were ever so slightly lacking but perfectly suitable for a bar. I highly recommend speaking to Zoe for any requirements and thank you for wonderful visits.

Gaucho Leeds offers an exceptional bottomless brunch experience with a focus on premium cuts of meat and Argentine-inspired dishes. The Electro Brunch, priced at 45 or 55 depending on the drinks package, includes unlimited Bloody Marys, Aperol Spritzs, and more for two hours along with unlimited food. The restaurant exudes glamour and style with its luxurious decor. It serves succulent cuts of beef from Argentina and locally sourced Yorkshire produce.
We came on a Sunday and had the Sunday roast, the beef was absolutely delicious. A little bit expensive but the quality of the meat lived up to the price, and all the trimmings were likewise excellent. Tried the cheesecake for dessert which was also very tasty. Live music playing when we got there was a lovely touch. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, nice atmosphere. Would absolutely recommend for a special occasion or if you just want to treat yourself to a great meal.

A nice place if not a little bit dated decor wise … excellent service a nice not too loud atmosphere plenty of staff who weren’t intrusive definitely a good place for a celebration meal … the steaks (gaucho platter £130) were excellent although the chips were disappointing they were a standard offering the chimchurri was superb … it lost out on five stars as the puddings were grim the cookie dough was very poor and the lemon meringue was a disgrace but all in all the meal was good

Wonderful experience, a true jewel. Amazing atmosphere, great design, awesome cuisine. Our fillet stake was perfect, highlight of the night for my son, who I treated with a small celebration on his 18th. Useful to mention that he doesn’t like mashed potatoes in general but truly admired the mash served with his stake. The starters were top notch, we shared beef tartar tacos & cheese and truffle croquettes, the latter were especially delicious). Argentine prawn cocktail was pretty memorable too ) The restaurant offers a great wine list split into Argentinian and world sections. We really appreciated some Californian red (Maggio, Zinfandel 2021 was just gorgeous). Very tasty desserts: we shared a chocolate tart which was very smooth and not too sweet, the way I love it. My son was also presented a complementary birthday apple crumble which came as a true surprise - even if you love it and familiar with its taste, this version would bring you some absolutely new impressions ) Many thanks to Eiden for being so nice, professional and of a great service, especially for a perfect stake demonstration to help us make our mind and own choice of apple crumble as a birthday treat ) 10 out of 10, just loved it

**Review of Gaucho Leeds** I recently visited Gaucho Leeds for a 71st birthday celebration, and it was truly a memorable experience. The evening began with a warm greeting as we were seated in the bar area, where we enjoyed complimentary birthday bubbles. This lovely touch set the tone for the night. Our waiter was fantastic, friendly, accommodating, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. His enthusiasm made our dining experience even better. The food itself was delicious and beautifully presented, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality. What stood out most was the waiter's ability to cater to our group's specific requests. He expertly crafted drinks on the spot, including some unique options not listed on the menu, which was a hit with one of our more demanding guests who prefers blue drinks. Overall, everything was spot on, making for an amazing birthday meal. Thank you, Gaucho Leeds, for a wonderful celebration!

I finally went in here for lunch today, and really pleased I did. Exceptionally impressed with the quality of the food, the value and the friendliness of the team. The red curry was perfect, as was the fried squid. Very generous portion sizes too. Will return and highly recommend.

This has to be one of my favourite Thai food place to eat. The food is properly made and delicious. Your food also comes out looking like the pictures on the menue. The staff are so friendly, good customer service and does it all with a smile. The food are fairly priced and I'd say worth every buck. It's a good spot for a group or birthday dinner. Just tell them the occasion, brace yourself for a Thai birthday drums and song if you're celebrating. It gets busy most times, but most times you get seated less than 5 minutes 🤞 Definitely coming back.

Really disappointed after seeing such amazing reviews. Service was really poor we had to ask to order twice whilst they took orders from everyone else around us and those seated after us, it took over 25 minutes for our order to be taken. We ordered the Bangkok platter for 3 people to share between the 2 of us and I find it hard to believe that's supposed to fill 3 people. The food was bland and had no flavour, the pork dumplings tasted like nothing, the fish cakes were like a wet hockey puck, spring rolls were mid and the chicken skewers were cooked wrll but again no flavour. Best part of the meal was the prawn crackers and dipping sauce it came with they were really nice. Toilets were a bit grim cobwebs everywhere. Won't be coming back unfortunately.

I love this restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing, the decor imitates a Bangkok market. Loved it in here. The food was okay. I really liked the squid pad nam prik pao, this was very tasty. The Bangkok platter is also a great sharing platter. The service was very good and the drinks are great. I just can’t get over the decor and atmosphere. It’s really worth a visit!!

Vibrant Thai street-style restaurant with such a fun atmosphere, there’s even a Tuk Tuk you can sit at as a dining table, Thai music playing, and Thai chefs cooking away in the open kitchen. It really feels like stepping into a Bangkok night market, lively and authentic. The menu has a great range of options - noodles, rice dishes, curries, and snacks, all at mid range prices, making it a solid choice for dinner. We tried: • Thai prawn crackers: Slightly spicy, a nice starter though a little pricey. • Gang Kiew Wan: Creamy with coconut milk, mildly spicy, packed with flavor. Tender chicken and perfect with rice, highly recommended! • Pad Thai Moo Krob: Dry fried noodles with a sweet sour balance, made extra tasty with pork belly and crispy pork skin. • Tom Yum Seafood: Requested mild spice, great balance of sour and spicy, full of prawns, mussels, and squid. Delicious with rice. • Watermelon Fruit Shake: Refreshing, just the right sweetness, perfect to cool down the spice. And also the Thai beer! Overall, Zaap is the best Thai food I’ve had so far in the UK. If you’re in Leeds and looking for authentic flavors at reasonable prices, this spot is a must visit! 🆗 Thai prawn crackers 🆗 Pad Thai Moo Krob 👍🏻 Gang Kiew Wan 👍🏻 Tom Yum Seafood 👍🏻 Watermelon Fruit Shake

Indian restaurant
Dastaan Leeds, situated on Otley Road in Adel, is a Northern Indian restaurant that opened in July 2022. The establishment was founded by Chefs Nand Kishor and Sanjay Gour, who previously worked as head chefs at a Michelin-starred restaurant in London. Emphasizing the importance of flavor and prepared with love and passion, Dastaan offers generous portions of high-quality Northern Indian cuisine at good value.
Really nice interior, great food, great drinks! The restaurant is very modern and the staff are friendly and attentive. The drinks were great, we tried a few cocktails. In particular all the drinks with mango were amazing, mango margarita wasn't too sweet which is the way I like it. Curries are complex and rich, and the starters are great.

Been a good few times and always had friendly service, very very good food and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s clean and always felt a step above a standard Indian restaurant albeit with a price tag to match, but still feels worth it. I class it as a very welcome and needed addition to adel which was lacking a decent restaurant for years. Parking is easy round the back but on street nearby is easy too. Dietary requirements seem to be catered for nicely too.

Had an evening meal here. Very much enjoyed the spicy coconut margarita. Favourite dish was the octopus starter. Mains were also good, and significantly less greasy that most Indian food I've had, which is appreciated.

It was an absolute delight from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff and manager Yash were incredibly attentive and inviting and make us feel truly welcomed. I have been to many Michelin restaurants in London and Daastan was truly exceptional and better than any Michelin restaurant’s in London. The food was exceptional, every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavors. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and that chef puts real passion into every plate. I especially loved the amritsari fish, lamb chops, chilli chicken and Bhindi. Overall great experience. It’s a must visit restaurant and I will be definitely returning soon!!

Had a good family dinner for fathers day here , was given a table on first floor, which was kind of aloof, so service was slow. Food was not so great , starters were really good, but the chicken dish in mains were a bit short on authentic Indian taste. shocking to see the very small portion sizes in the thali, as it is fixed quantity as well, some people might still feel hungry and it costs 20 GBP. i suggest they either add one more dish or allow one more serving on any one dish in thali for this price .
Pankaj B — Google review
Well fitted out with great decor, fabulous service but disappointing food we had lamb gosht the lamb was excellent but the sauce was very disappointing lacking any depth or real flavour the man breads were excellent as was the rice, one of the party had the chicken tikka which was excellent such a shame about the gosht … drinks were ice cold … all in all a good experience let down by a main dish ps the popadoms were fresh and crisp although the dips lacked something
David — Google review
Tried Dastaan despite hearing mixed reviews from friends who’ve gone. The mushroom soup was amazing (the only thing we’d reorder), the prawn curry was pure coconut milk (the prawns were fresh and large though), the chicken karahi was average not much sauce with it. You can go to places for a similar price point such as Tharavadhu, or cheaper to Jodhpur for better food.

Friends of Ham is a laid-back hangout located on two floors, offering artisan charcuterie and cheese platters along with craft beers. Visitors highly recommend trying the burnt Basque cheesecake, which is described as creamy, soft, and slightly bitter in all the right places. The venue also offers a variety of other delectable desserts such as Tiramisu. Additionally, it's considered one of the best bars in Leeds city center for those who enjoy cheese and meat deli options.
Was down in Leeds for work and was recommended this place and WOW! Everything about it was spot on. Great and friendly staff; food that was sensational and a brilliant selection of drinks that you can't get in many other places. Only place outside of Scotland I've seen the Vault City Iron Brew (otherwise known as the greatest drink ever created). Can't wait for my next trip to Leeds to return and for now my wallet can breathe as the worry about how much I'd spend if this was in Glasgow is real.

Such a lovely place in the city centre and so close to the train station. The menu has a great variety and is perfect for sharing. The nduja toast and meatballs were perfectly cooked and went down a treat. I'd reccomend the mushroom pasta as well, really fresh and filling. One thing that stood out was the great service! Will definitely be back. For the city centre and the quality of the food the prices are really reasonable!

Just a quick review. I spent a few days in Leeds as a solo female traveller. I used Ham & Friends as a base to meet friends and a date. I love the atmosphere the food and the care the staff provided. Kaycee is a gem, I didn’t catch the names of the two other bar staff, I wish I had because they all made my visit so welcomming and safe. It will forever be my first stop for lunch and wine on my next visit. Recommend to everyone. I may have to book you for a quietly raucous 50th?!! Perfect people watching window. Thank you.

Enjoyed lovely wine, ham and small plates at this place. Good value for the quality. We called in on a Saturday evening without a reservation, we were greeted as arrived and asked if wanted to wait at the bar, we were only a few minutes waiting before a table was available.

OK. I am writing this as I sit here. Firstly, it’s utterly superb. I was a walk in single diner on a Friday evening (working in Leeds Fri/Sat). It’s a cool, chic, friendly, laid back, fizzing atmosphere. I had a nice single table in the window. I let the waiters recommend wines - and they nailed it. Trust the chap with the beard - he knows what he’s taking about!! White, Red, Red. To eat I had the meatballs and the potatoes - again, waiters recommendation - sounds like the most boring dinner on the planet? Wrong, completely wrong. It was (to quote my teenage son) bang’in! Absolutely delicious - I would eat it again now. And I have only just finished it. Followed it up with a hard cheese, biscuits and a (boring but delicious) Malbec. OK. It’s not cheap. Dinner for 1 at £60 but it’s blooming good…..genuinely….really that good. Well done the Friends of Ham.Just to reiterate….it’s utterly superb.

Arrived here on Saturday afternoon and the place was busy looking from the outside. We were directed downstairs to sit down and arrived in a cosy, rustic area where we had some beer and snacks. Then nibbles were brill, especially the chorizo, and the beer menu is different however it has something for everyone. (Often these craft ale places are filled with hoppy IPA's a large North Bar). Some of the beers were pricey if I'm being picked, but that's the price of something a bit different. Service was charged automatically on the bill, BTW this is not a complaint as the service was spot on, drinks were brought to the table, food was delivered in good time, and advice on beers was good. Saved me a job thinking about service! Good job!

Honestly, one of the best places to eat/drink in Leeds, I've been in a couple of times and the food is always great, and the drink selection is pretty huge, also, if you end up going, try the olives, you won't regret it, best olives I've ever eaten. The close proximity to the train station is also great, it's literally a 1 minute walk, and is also in good proximity to the rest of town, which means you don't have to walk far to get anywhere, loads of bus stops nearby as well. Staff are always friendly, and your orders are always filled out very quickly.

The presentation and quality of the food was first class we savoured every mouthful it was absolutely delicious. We were excited for each dish that followed as Ben explained in absolute detail each course and Alex was very knowledgeable on each of the wines that paired superbly. The service received from Ben and Alex was first class it felt more like a private dining experience they were so attentive and knowledgeable. Also a big shout out to the chef and thank you for the amazing food you prepared for us. We will definitely be back and will continue to recommend this fabulous place!

A great experience from start to finish. We came for the tasting menu. Me and my partner have a few intolerances, but both management and the kitchen had no problems swapping stuff out for us. The food was amazing, as were the drinks pairings. The service was perfect, very casual but nothing was too much of an ask. Can’t wait to return!

Nic, Jamie, Ben and the team have just been incredible. They hosted my 50th birthday party celebrations and couldn’t have been more professional, friendly or courteous. Nothing was too much trouble, the venue itself is beautiful, the food stunning and the service impeccable. Thank you for making my party such an amazing evening. I can’t wait to come back and visit.

Very chilled ambiance at shears. I was suprised by the lunch menu cost 2 courses for £20 or 3 courses for £25. At that price (let's be honest was in this day and age a steal, but I was dubious). I was indeed wrong. The quality and presentation of the food was divine. We decided on trying the bread, the butter that day was mixed with timothy taylor beer. Not to my taste, but the forcaccia bread...oh my the bread. The crust was definately to my taste if you lean on the salty side of cuisine it was worth the price! The fish tasted fresh and delicate. My lamb was cooked perfectly. The kimchi potatoes were drier than expected...however, I l2t it go after the chocolate brownie. I shared this with my husband. It was rich with flavour from tart cherries to the silky ganache. I forget our waiters name, but he was chipper and friendly. Gave his opinion on some the dishes which was useful. Was definately a warm welcome coming through the door. I would love to come back for an evening meal.

It’s hard to find a really good Sunday lunch sometimes when you are looking at new towns and cites. My grandson found this little gem for us to go out for a little meal when we visited him at his uni digs. And wow it did not fail to please. We had a starter of seared smoked salmon and then a beef or pork Sunday lunch each and they were delicious. The staff were just amazing also. The star of the day the bread and butter well we had never tasted such superb bread with butter. Its most certainly baked on prem and what a baker who makes it. You could live off it and i have added it to my to ten list of favourite foods now. I cant recall the exact details but it was black garlic with grape and a few other ingredients between the butter and bread i felt like Oliver and wanted to shout please sir could i have some more.

Korean barbecue restaurant
Bulgogi Grill offers an authentic Korean table-top BBQ dining experience, allowing diners to grill a variety of marinated meats and seafood right at their tables. The restaurant's trendy Asian-style dining room provides a fun and interactive atmosphere for guests to enjoy DIY cooking while savoring the flavors of Korean BBQ. From beef, pork, duck, and squid to delicately seasoned seafood like prawns and various fish options, there's something for everyone to grill and wrap in unlimited rice and lettuce.
We had a great experience here. The food was delicious, and the bulgogi grill was a novel experience for the kids. They really enjoyed cooking their own. We were there very early evening, so it was very quiet. The staff were very attentive, professional and friendly. We will be going back in the near future.

I completely understand the restaurant has changed ownership from Bulgogi Grill to now Mommy Mookrata and went into the experience with an open mind, however was sorely disappointed. Quality of meat was poor. Opted for the beef mixed set only to find the beef grisly and chewy. The broth on the hotpot was relatively flavourless and beyond that the beef itself was plain. The mixed sets come with three dipping sauces of which were just fine, though not to my taste personally. I had to ask for a bowl of plain soy sauce as this didn’t come as standard. To add I spent the entire meal with steam from the hotpot blowing in my face as it wasn’t picked up by the extractor fan. Grill was not oiled and so the meat would burn and charr whilst being raw all at the same time, it was almost impressive to see. No oil on the grill made it hard to cook the meat as it would just stick to it, and again the only alternative was the flavourless hotpot broth. The service was fine. For a “soft launch” opening of restaurant I would’ve hoped for a bit more enthusiasm or charisma, but it just felt cold. There was a QR code to scan to access the menu however the website it led to was full of pop ups and adverts making it very slow to load and hard to navigate, if you clicked the wrong link I’m sure a virus would’ve downloaded on your phone. Quality of food was subpar. Order a fried rice dish, rice was mushy and overcooked, this was alongside the beef mixed set which again had grisly chewy beef. Only available cutlery is chopsticks making some of the food hard to eat for those who aren’t familiar with using them. To top it all off it was cash only. This was never advertised, not on their website, not on their social media, nowhere. We were only told AFTER eating our meal. We didn’t have any cash on us and the ATM outside of the restaurant was broken so had to pay via bank transfer. Transfer was directed to a personal account, not a business account, which I found quite sneaky. Staff showed us a screenshot on his phones photo album with details of where to send payment to, again just very shoddy unprofessional business, especially as cash only was not advertised anywhere at all. Won’t be going again. If you were a fan of Bulgogi Grill, save your money and don’t bother. It’s a different restaurant now, part of the Mommy Thai chain which is just sad. No heart or soul anymore. I can forgive teething issues for a new restaurant opening, but this whole experience left a literal bad taste in my mouth.

I want to start this review by saying the only reason this isn’t a 2* review is because of how understanding and good the staff were here HOWEVER. I’ve eaten at bulgogi grill so much that I’ve forgotten count - it was the best place to get good Korean BBQ. We went into “Mommy Mookrata” with the expectations of Bulgogi grill but the option of hotpot (THIS IS NOT THE CASE) THE MENU - Menu has completely changed, it’s abysmal. Before you would pay for the meats and you would get unlimited sides etc, now you have to either order a set menu like before with ONE PORTION of each side or BUY INDIVIDUAL MEATS/SIDES. Which at first doesn’t sound too bad right? WRONG - It’s £4.50 for Lettuce leafs which counted as the portion size is drastically different (YOU GET 8 LEAFS) and £3.00 for RICE which is also SMALLER portion. There’s no draft beer, only small 330ml bottles, soju was sold out AND they no longer sell the yellow radish (which is in their kimbab) so it’s either they dont care what their customers want OR it’s no longer homemade kimbab :| This place used to be my go-to and now I doubt we’ll be going back again. BUT one thing I want to make sure the owners of this restaurant know is that there staff is genuinely one of the only redeeming parts of your restaurant now so hopefully you will understand this isn’t on them, it’s on you for selling out. Price for this was £44.95 See pictures below

Best Korean bbq In Leeds! What sets it apart from other KBBQ is the unlimited sides, which other restaurants charge an arm and a leg for. Food: food quality was great, highly recommend getting the set menus as they give a dedicated assortments of meats and unlimited sides to eat with the grilled meats Atmosphere: cosy and lively from the grills Price: £30 per person which is think is very good for the amount you’re getting. Service: great service, helped us with the menu and the way around how the ordering works, also very fast with the ingredients and tools.

What a great place! Never had Korean BBQ before and I'm so glad I did. 3 adults enjoying Leeds for the day so our son booked the table as a nice surprise lunch and we all went for the BBQ. We were looked after from start to finish by the staff, explaining what we had and swapping a few dishes as my wife had a shellfish allergy. Great fun sticking all the meat on the BBQ with loads to spare and unlimited refills of rice and side dishes! Next time, I will fast for a bit to really maximise the refills 😁

Indian Tiffin Room in Leeds is a vibrant restaurant offering a fusion of Indian street cuisine. The menu showcases a mix of street food dishes from various regions of India, influenced by the diverse backgrounds of the owners. South Indian Tiffin dishes take center stage, complemented by an extensive selection of street food, grilled kebabs, Indo-Chinese fare, and flavorful curries.
Had a fabulous experience thanks to Swapnali and Akash. Their service was 10/10 fast polite no issues at all service with smile helped us out with menu. New exactly what everything was excellent members off staff thank you for making the experience great. The resteraunt was beautiful and surprising open aswell. Food was 10/10 thank you chef. Came across this place by accident whilst having a drink elsewhere. The menu looked interesting so we went inside. Greeted by a friendly man. Saw Indian people eating there so took that as a good sign. Had a variety of dishes that are very different from a typical Indian restaurant. We really enjoyed our food and my spicy cocktail was delicious. The only negative was that there were chickpeas in a dish and they weren't included in the ingredients on the menu otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it. However I managed to pick them out and give them to my husband. Great environment and friendly and attentive staff. I would recommend.

This was my very first time trying authentic Indian food, and wow, it was truly Indian, especially with that signature spiciness. From the starters to the mains and even the desserts, everything tasted so rich and genuinely Indian. I absolutely loved it! A big highlight was the warm and attentive service from my friend Ayesha/Esha, which made the whole experience even better and makes me want to come back for more. Hey Ayesha/Esha, keep smiling. Indian food might be spicy, but it was incredibly delicious. I would definitely be back next time. Honestly, it was so good I feel like bringing my whole extended family here! 😄 Highly recommended if you’re looking for real Indian food in Leeds!

My experience at the Indian Tiffin Room was truly delightful. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, ensuring a warm atmosphere from the moment we entered. The decor is vibrant and beautifully designed, transporting you to a lively Indian setting. The food was delicious, though some dishes were slightly spicier than expected. However, this added to the authentic Indian flavors that each meal presented. The variety of dishes offered something for everyone, and the portion sizes were generous. Overall, the Indian Tiffin Room is a great choice for those seeking authentic Indian street food in a lively and inviting environment. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!

We had dinner here on a recent visit to Leeds. The decor, atmosphere and staff are absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed the evening. The street food (Chaats) aren’t the best that I have had but on par with others. For any red wine enthusiasts, do try the Cabernet Shiraz from India. It was excellent.

We visited the Indian Tiffin Room on a recommendation from a friend and we weren't disappointed. The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. Sunish was very informative about the dishes that would suit our preferences and plesent. Would highly recommend for people wanting an authentic Indian meal. Will definitely return on our next visit to Leeds.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I genuinely can’t say enough good things about Indian Tiffin Room in Leeds – this place is a must visit! The staff were incredible, especially Sunish, who was absolutely lovely and made the whole experience even better. Now, the food… wow. Why have I never been here before?! The okra fries are a new favourite of mine – so moreish – and the chaat bombs are exactly what the name promises: explosive flavour in every bite. The mains were outstanding too. The lamb dish in particular is an absolute must-order – tender, rich, and perfectly spiced. Even the non-alcoholic cocktails were a highlight. Fresh, vibrant, and honestly some of the best I’ve had. If you’re in Leeds and love bold, exciting Indian street food with top-notch service, you need to book a table here. I’ll definitely be back!

Nestled in the heart of Leeds Victorian Quarter, The Ivy Asia is a must-visit destination for locals and visitors. This independent venue offers a unique blend of Asian fusion cuisine, creative cocktails, and stunning decor spread across three floors. With its vibrant atmosphere and a spectacular roof terrace, it's an ideal spot to enjoy music, art, film, and delectable food.
I first went to the Ivy Asia Leeds earlier this year and couldn’t wait to go back. I went with my husband and we enjoyed the tasting menu. I went back today for lunch on my own and ordered a couple of different items but by far my favourite dish was the Black Cod Miso. It’s cooked to perfection. The flavour is delicate and it melts in your mouth. I can’t recommend it enough and will be having it again anytime I’m back in Leeds, UK. The atmosphere of this restaurant is incredible and a treat for the eyes. The tasting menu is an absolute unforgettable experience. It’s delicious and a show! The service is exceptional and very welcoming. It’s pricey but in my opinion the service, food, and atmosphere are outstanding and worth the money. I’ve included photos from lunch today and our visit earlier this year.

This was a second visit to an Ivy Asia, I went to St Paul’s London and that was a great experience. Ivy Asia Leeds was a really lovely experience also, great for a special meal, I booked it for a 60th Birthday. Service, food and decor is first class. It is definitely worth a visit and fabulous surprise for a family celebration.

Visited with my father today to celebrate my birthday and our afternoon was fabulous from start to finish! Service was outstanding as usual from stepping through the door. We had multiple dishes, pork belly, lobster and duck rice, duck spring rolls, chicken skewers and many more. We recommend them all. Our waiters name is Sheaka I believe. He was polite and attentive. Couldn't ask for better service, Thankyou The Ivy Asia Leeds for a wonderful afternoon.
Missy B — Google review
A beautifully designed restaurant with great atmosphere and music, however the food could be a lot better. Me and my husband celebrated our anniversary on last Sunday and we tried the Samurai set dinner menu. The chicken skewers were perfectly cooked, but the salty-vinegary sauce on them was not great, the prawn tempuras were average. We chose the Tiger Prawn Rendang and the Massaman lamb curries for our main courses and they came with a plate of oily pak choi which had no flavours and the smallest bowl of rice. I immediately asked the server for an other bowl of rice which hasn't arrived until I asked another waiter for it again 10 minutes later. Our waiter recommended the doughnuts for dessert which was a good choice but all in all I wouldn't go back. The curries had nice touches, but I've had better and more authentic meals in lot cheaper places.

When you combine amazing decor with amazing food and service you could be in The Ivy Asia. We picked a selection of small plates between two with four different cocktails, everything was delicious! It is definitely one the best decorated restaurant interiors that I’ve been in. Really enjoyed our meal so we will return when we visit Leeds again 👍🏼

Amazing food; delicious and so well presented. Fabulous service and beautiful interiors. We tried the premium menu at £60 per person. Plenty of food; tiny portions, although an extravagant experience. I would go again.

What an impressive place. Visited here for a celebration meal. We decided to go for the Premium tasting menu, what a good choice. The attention to detail was so good, flavours and presentation of each dish were impressive. Every time each course came out we thought what are they going to think of now. So well planned, each individual serving dish all the different pairings of flavours. The decor is so different nothing what you would expect, the flooring was so colorful and bright

De Baga Restaurant in Headingley is a delightful haven for lovers of traditional Indian cuisine, particularly those with a taste for Goan specialties. The restaurant prides itself on using the freshest seasonal ingredients and high-quality herbs and spices to create dishes bursting with flavor. With its modern decor and exceptional culinary offerings, De Baga has become a favorite among locals seeking an authentic gastronomic experience.
On arrival made to feel welcome a clean space and the atmosphere was nice . They were attentive Food was good one of the best panipuris I had in Leeds ! The curries were also lovely and could taste the different spices ! Not the typical rice and curry so finally nice to get some different flavours . We shared our food and thought the portion sizes were reasonable - we were very full by the end of the meal so didn’t have space for deserts. I liked the beetroot and pomegranate rhytha as well - something new :) I will definitely revisit Thank you to the lovely staff for making us feel welcome.

We had an early evening reservation but De Bags was buzzing. Once the location of our table was confirmed (I'd choose to sit away from the rear of the restaurant, which is where the toilets and kitchen are located) we settled in for a great meal. We asked to have our selection of starters and mains delivered simultaneously and this wasn't a problem, even though they were busy. The food is presented simply but elegantly and was delicious. Highlights from our group were the Kashmiri Lamb Chops, Chicken Tikka on the bone and the mutton curry.

Pasta shop
Sarto is a cozy Italian restaurant located just south of the bus station in Munro House. The menu features a selection of carefully crafted handmade pasta dishes, small plates, and an impressive array of cocktails, wine, and draught beer. The restaurant exudes a cool canteen vibe with light wood tables and exposed brickwork, offering a unique dining experience. Sarto's well-considered ingredients and frequently changing wine list sourced from local wineries make it a standout spot for food enthusiasts.
This place is fantastic. The food is spot on (the sort you can’t stop thinking about afterwards), the staff are friendly and helpful. We were looked after so well. Being vegan, it’s often difficult to find a decent choice but Sarto have plenty of choice of food and drinks (including good vegan wine) I had the spaghetti confit aglio e olio, chilli which for a simple dish was an absolute taste sensation. I honestly can’t recommend it enough! I don’t have a sweet tooth so the sgroppino was the perfect dessert for me. (Lemon sorbet whipped with vodka and Prosecco. What’s not to like?) Can’t wait to go back and eat it all again!

We eat at Sarto frequently and the food and service is always excellent. This review though is for the catering they did at our recent wedding at The Chapter Hall. The whole experience was wonderful. We had so much fun deciding our menu at the tasting evening, where they were very generous with their time (and portions!) and then on the day itself the food was exceptional - totally matched our style, and I've had so many comments from our guests about how delicious it all was. Especially for the cashew cream pasta - honestly the runaway favourite! Thank you so much to Sarto for feeding us and our guests so well and as always for your great service. Special thanks for Sam for helping us organise it and just being lovely throughout :)

Called in here last minute before a gig at the wardrobe. The staff were very friendly and although all the tables were full, made room for us to sit in the window seating to enjoy our dinner. The food was gorgeous, very tasty, decent sized portions. Everything tasted homemade and well thought out, pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection and the sauces were delicious. I am not sure how often dishes change but I had a lamb ragu dish which I really enjoyed, my friend had a gnocchi which again she thought was gorgeous.

I was craving some authentic Italian Pasta and after a lot of browsing, came across this wonderful restaurant. Nestled in a cosy corner near Leeds bus station, this place is a gem for all pasta lovers. Honestly, we made a reservation at the last minute and though we ended up arriving a bit early, we were seated right away. The Arancini, we ordered was delicious and so was the Fettuccine pasta with wild mushrooms. We got a seat adjacent to the window and enjoyed our meal whilst watching the moving traffic on a Sunday afternoon. Would like to try the other items on the menu on my next visit.
Aditi D — Google review
I really wanted to enjoy this place especially after hearing good things from friends and seeing reviews online. Unfortunately, it was difficult to find many positives from our visit. We ordered two starters, two pastas, and a few drinks. The crudo looked impressive, but felt like style over substance, just a few tiny pieces of fish and some burnt garnish. The arancini was bland, which unfortunately set the tone for the rest of the meal. Both pasta dishes were underwhelming. The ragu was overly sweet and lacked depth and the "fresh" pasta tasted stale. The fettuccine seemed like it had been drowned in double cream and put on a plate. At no point during the meal were we asked how our food was. The staff appeared more focused on chatting with each other across the bar than checking in with guests. They seemed quite young, so perhaps the more experienced team members were off that night, which may explain the overall lack of attentiveness. That said I did have a great negroni so shoutout to however made that.

We booked a table at around 8ish and said that they haven't got any spaces left for us to seat at the table so kindly one of the staff members asked us to sit at the windows until theres some spaces, and they seated us 15 minutes after, when it cane to ordering i originally wanted beef shin ragu pasta but they said they didn’t have that so i chose the Radiatori, tomato bazil mozzarella pasta because i didn’t know what else really to get my partner got the fettuccine pasta and he said it was lovely, and i asked for the snacks if we could get the viral caramelised onion arancini but they said they didn’t have that either so my last option was the Capunsei fries and said they didn’t have that so me and my partner had to get 2 Focaccia which we wasn’t so pleased about. Food took way too long to come would so approximately 30 minutes , my food arrived 10 minutes after my partners food, when i received my food the sauce was wayy too sour like they added too much tomato puree or lots of lemon juice, it made me feel ill on how sour/bitter it was, i had to take it home with me because i just simply could not finish it because of the taste, i gave it to my dad to try and he said the same and couldn’t eat it. But overall my partner enjoyed his food but the service was quite bad there. Im not too sure if they was running out of supplies or because it was busy the reason my food tasted like that or just not put enough effort into the dish…

Pasta was incredible, I like how many of the flavours are not typically what you’d find. North Star Coffee Shop is a local coffee shop with delicious roasts of beans from all over the world. Situated next to their roastery, you can try two espressos each as well as one expertly-made filter coffee. There are also loose tea, craft beers and cocktails on offer. A gem in Leeds Dock, North Star will have pancakes for the February 13th day only!
Great little coffee place in Leeds dock. Good coffee and a small menu of breakfast, brunch and excellent cakes. The sausage and egg sandwich was amazing, the cakes were great too. They also sell their own coffee beans. Not the cheapest place but the quality is very good and you get what you pay for!

The staff were lovely and the space was clean. The vibe was good and the coffee was of a good high quality. The coffee shop also has a mini store area where you can purchase beans, T-shirts and some cool looking tote bags. The coffee is priced as a normal high quality coffee is nowadays, but the portion sizes are on the smaller size - (I had taken a couple sips out of my glass in the photo provided!). I tried the last slice of the tiramisu tart, which was a little different! Similar to a treacle tart with some cream on top. This was nice! Good location on the docks, near the library boat and the Royal Armouries.

I tried two different coffees here, both being made as a long black. They were the Astro house blend and a Mexican sierra Mazateca variety. They were both really nice. The house blend was chocolaty with a slight citrus angle, while the Mexican bean had a more apple and nutty taste. Both different but both very nice. Highly recommended.

Located in the heart of Horsforth, Bavette is a charming French bistro that offers an authentic Parisian dining experience. The restaurant features stylish decor with dark green walls, gold mirrors, and elegant lighting. Led by Sandy Jarvis and Clement Cousin, Bavette is known for its incredible food and excellent service. Guests praise the warm and relaxed atmosphere as well as the knowledgeable and helpful staff.
A wonderfully relaxed meal, presented by our waiter Lars, who took the time to explain the short but sweet menu. The waiting staff we attentive yet respectful. The food was an outstanding display of what seasonal menu can be in West Yorkshire. Each course presented something unique yet exceptional. We can't wait to return to try again!

Amazing trip to Bavette, food was brilliant, service was great and the cocktails and wine were lovely. Will definitely return! Tartare was perfect and the bouillabaisse was delicious. A moment for the mayo that came with the chips too! Beef Tartare, Steak Scallop, Bouillabaisse, Poached Pear

Perfect from start to finish - cannot wait to be back! The whole experience was very thoughtfully done. The menu was super interesting and tasty - every detail thought out. Everything was aesthetically beautiful - from the dishes to the drinks to the interior. As a very visual person, that kind of attention to detail adds a lot to my overall experience. The owner kindly talked us through the menu, which was very helpful. Some of the French elements (and dish names) were new to us, so getting a feel for each dish beforehand meant we could choose really well (and not miss out on the stars of the show). My partner and I are big foodies and love to chat through each dish as we go - the flavours, textures, the whole experience - we had plenty to talk about (in the best possible way). There were dishes we hadn’t tried in this way before and it made the meal all the more exciting. For mains we ordered the fish and the steak, both were fantastic. It was a difficult choice as we were so lured in by the duck, but we decided to keep that in the back pocket for our next visit. We had A LOT of food and left feeling full and content, but not so heavy that we needed to roll home (which usually happens to us!) - perfectly balanced. I prefer to try lots of bits and still feel good at the end of the meal. Oh and the wine! The chilled red we had was one of the best I've ever had - yummy cherry, light with a little fizz - very interesting and unique mix of flavours 😍 Service 10/10, if I could give the restaurant more stars, I really would, we will be back for the duck soon

We went for Sunday lunch as a group of five, and it was every bit as good as I remembered. This was my second visit, and I couldn’t resist ordering the Comté croquettes again as they’re fantastic. Paired with the bread and butter, they make the perfect start before moving on to mains. The wine list is really well put together, and you can tell some thought has gone into it. I went for the bouillabaisse instead of the traditional roast, and it was excellent — full of flavour and beautifully done. We finished with crème brûlées, which were a lovely way to end the meal. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food, and the service was just as good — warm, friendly, and attentive without being over the top. It’s such a welcoming place, and we’re already looking forward to going back.

Four of us dined here for Sunday lunch. I had exchanged emails with Clément in advance to ensure there was a vegetarian option for every course. I wasn’t expecting much as French food is more focused on meat and fish but my food didn’t disappoint! The squash and leek gratin was simply delicious - my meat-eating friends all tried it and loved it. A generous plate of garlicky, buttered space was the perfect accompaniment. My starter of Canut de Cervelle was fresh, herby and tart and the Prune and Armagnac ice-cream rounded off a wonderful meal. Our waitress (sorry, I didn’t catch your name!) was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed. I can’t wait to come back again.

This was the second time we have visited and both times it has been amazing. The quality of food, attentive and knowledgable service, and relaxing environment makes it our favourite restaurant. A great addition to Horsforth.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary at Bavette and wow… what a night! Started with cervelle de canut + crudités, crostini & walnut oil – fresh and delicious. The monkfish was absolute perfection, but the Basque cheesecake… pure heaven 🤍🍷 Incredible wine and the friendliest staff made it unforgettable. The perfect place for a special occasion!
Samira F — Google review
Just ok… We went for lunch and had waiting quite a few weeks to get a reservation. Menu is not extensive, which is fine - however we would expect the dishes to be outstanding due to number of items on menu. We had: croquettes, baguette and egg as starters to share. Croquettes tasty, egg tasted like bland egg mayonnaise and the butter on the baguette was an acquired taste. My partner had steak and I had french onion soup. My partner said the steak wasn’t anything outstanding. The French onion soup was inedible. I love French onion soup, this was heavy and the consistency of thick gravy. All you could taste was a heavy meat stock which overpowered all other ingredients. It was so dense that it didn’t sit well. We spent £100 for lunch with no alcohol. We expected so much more

Nestled in the vibrant suburb of Chapel Allerton on Harrogate Road, Hern is a charming bistro that prides itself on its commitment to fresh ingredients and sustainability. The restaurant's menu is a delightful reflection of seasonal produce, with past highlights including exquisite dishes like wild sea bass paired with confit tomato and mussel sauce or succulent roast chicken served alongside boudin blanc and green asparagus.
Honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. As I have a dairy intolerance I was nervous about a set menu, but when we arrived I had my own printed menu with real adjustments made rather than just items removed! We felt so looked after and the food was incredible - it’s obvious that Hern really value where they obtain their produce. Can’t wait to come back soon!
Chloe G — Google review
This was my first visit to Hern, which I was surprised to discover had been going for around six years. How have I missed it? I went with friends and had the small menu of four courses for £45 per person. Wine flight was optional as was a cheese course. The food was delicious and unusual in its ingredients, with us asking our waiter what it was we had eaten. "Pangrattato" been one such element. The dessert got a comment from my friend of "this is a showstopper." This was strawberry ice cream with strawberries and fig leaf granita. The ice cream being homemade. The whole meal was light and I left feeling happy, satisfied and not uncomfortably full. It was a really nice evening with good food. It is, however, not a cheap night once you add drinks and a gratuitie. Well worth it in my humble opinion.

Incredible food- menu changes more or less every week and there’s a set menu that can be adapted for allergies/requirements. Really small place with great service and a good range of natural wines. 100% recommend!
Alex O — Google review
This was a great find! We enjoyed the vegetarian tasting menu and were sufficiently full. The main (pictured) tasted slightly undercooked, and the restaurant was rather warm, but the service more than made up for this and did not detract from our evening. Would return!
Ed L — Google review
One of my most favourite dining experiences. Had the vegetarian short menu with the wine tasting suggestions and it was all brilliant. From the first minute when we were shown to our table, to the end, it was a really relaxing and enjoyable experience. As soon as we walked in, you just knew it was going to be good. The service, food and wine were all excellent.

Hern is everything a neighbourhood bistro should be: - great but unfussy service - tasty food cooked incredibly well - a short menu that makes sense and prioritises seasonal produce - good wine

Been passing this small corner restaurant for a few years but somehow never thought of eating there. How wrong I was! Tried the short menu on a Friday evening. Everything was perfect. Duck leg was particularly superb. Really impressive wine selection too. Portion is large enough. They keep changing the set menu so i guess we’ll never get bored keeping coming back

Estabulo Rodizio Bar & Grill in Leeds, located at The Light, offers a tantalizing Brazilian BBQ experience. At lunch, diners can indulge in 10 cuts of meat while the evening service boasts 17 options. Both services include access to a superb salad bar and unlimited sides. The restaurant honors the traditional Gaucho method of cooking by skewering and grilling flavorful meats over open flames.
A brilliant place, all 15 cuts of meat were very delicious, succulent and well seasoned, the chicken cuts were unforgettable since it was the most tender piece of chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The salad bar is also good and the interior is nicely decorated. They also accommodate well to parties too and even sing happy birthday and give cake and candles to celebrate. The service was welcoming and accommodating, especially from lovely Vicky.
Tanya F — Google review
Absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish. Estabulo is more than just a meal; it's an event. The concept is brilliant: you help yourself to an incredible fresh salad and hot buffet (the roasted pineapple is a must-try!), and then the real show begins. The passadors (gaucho chefs) continuously come to your table with a stunning variety of succulent, fire-grilled meats. From perfectly seasoned picanha and flavourful lamb leg to juicy chicken and surprisingly delicious black pudding, every single cut was cooked to perfection. The rump steak was a particular highlight – melt-in-the-mouth good. The staff were incredibly attentive, the atmosphere was vibrant but not overwhelming, and the value for money is outstanding. We left utterly stuffed and already planning our next visit. An essential Leeds dining experience!

I got the salmon option as I do not eat meat. The serving was huge and I had a fillet of salmon to take home. The salad bar is really nice and fresh. The service was wonderful and the garlic bread is phenomenal! Even though I am not a meat eater, I will be back!

Fantastic experience at Estabulo, Leeds. The meats—especially the steaks—were absolutely divine, cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The salad bar was fresh, varied, and high quality, making a perfect complement to the main courses. Service was attentive and friendly throughout, which really added to the overall atmosphere. The draught beer was exceptional and paired perfectly with the meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

I celebrated my birthday here — and it was absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere was cozy and festive, and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. What touched me most was that they didn’t overlook my special day — they congratulated me, which made the evening even warmer. A special thank you for the meat — it was amazing! Juicy, flavorful, cooked to perfection, it literally melted in my mouth. Every dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Thank you to the restaurant for an unforgettable evening! I left with a huge smile and the warm feeling that my birthday was a 100% success. I will definitely be back!

The Royal Armouries Museum is a captivating destination that showcases the rich history of arms and armor in a modern setting. Nestled on a revitalized 13-acre dockland site just 15 minutes from the city center, this National Museum boasts an impressive collection that dates back to the reign of Elizabeth I.
Absolutely fabulous museum, so much to do and see. So much history in this museum, with live reenactments that help children understand how it may have been in the past. Huge displays! The stairwell was epic-with swords, pikes, spears and armour. Interactive displays. Even an full sized armoured elephant and horses! A fun photo op as you enter, a chance to take your picture with a dragon, holding on to a sword as if to slay it. We plan to visit the museum again when we can take more time over the exhibits and enjoy their other live performances.

I’ve been to many museums around the world, and this is definitely one of the best. The collection is astounding and there’s so much to see, you’ll need a whole day to do it justice. It’s great for all ages and you don’t need to have a particular interest in armies or weapons to enjoy your visit. The displays are beautifully arranged. The museum is free to enter and there are multiple free shows for kids and adults alike to enjoy throughout the day. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Leeds.

Fantastic day out. Loads to see and interact with. The historic role plays are very informative. A well stocked shop has plenty of items for all ages. If you fancy a snack and drink then the cafe has it all. There is a car park very close.

The Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds is a treasure trove of history, offering a fascinating journey through centuries of arms and armour. The Royal Armouries itself dates back to the 15th century, originally serving as the national collection of arms and armour for the monarchy. Today, its Leeds museum houses this incredible collection, making it one of the UK’s most important historical institutions. The museum is divided into several impressive galleries, each highlighting different aspects of military history: • The Tournament Gallery showcases medieval European armour, including full suits worn by knights, ceremonial helmets, and weapons used in jousting and battle. It’s a striking insight into the skill, artistry, and traditions of the medieval period. • The War Gallery presents a chronological view of warfare through the ages, featuring firearms, muskets, and rifles alongside historical accounts that show how weaponry shaped battles and societies. • The Oriental Armour Gallery highlights arms and armour from Asia and the Middle East, offering a fascinating glimpse into the craftsmanship, styles, and cultures beyond Europe. The museum also features live demonstrations of swords, archery, and firearms, making history interactive and engaging for visitors of all ages. The exhibits are meticulously curated, providing context and storytelling alongside the stunning collection. Best of all, entry is completely free, allowing everyone to explore this incredible heritage without cost. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a student, or visiting with family, the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds offers a deeply educational and inspiring experience, celebrating the artistry, innovation, and history of arms and armour through the centuries.
Sepid A — Google review
A must if you're in Leeds. Free entry and four floors to explore with a ticketed seasonal exhibit on the top floor. Pieces of armour and weapons from all around the world and from many different time periods, arranged from oldest to newest. There is also a peace exhibit. Most of the Asian/African pieces are on the fourth floor, which was my favourite part of the museum. Live events happen throughout the day, tickets are available for seated positions with standing tickets free and first come first served. Showing up about twenty minutes before start time will almost guarantee you a seat but means you miss time in the museum. Modern building that is walkable from the corn exchange and main shopping district easily in about 15-20 minutes. I recommend the walk in daylight hours. There is also a water taxi service available that terminates near the entrance and a bus that gets you most of the way there, look online for full schedules and details.
Azar N — Google review
I’ve been visiting the Royal Armouries in Leeds since I was a child, and it remains a timeless experience. Some of the exhibits are clearly veterans of many years, but they add to the charm of returning time and again. It’s a brilliant place for kids – the interactive displays bring history to life across different time periods without being frightening or sensationalised. One of the highlights, as always, is the magnificent elephant in its suit of armour – though I still don’t know how they manage to get it to stand so patiently all day while visitors admire it! My favourite exhibit was a temporary film and TV exhibit in 2008 which I visited with my high school history class and was able to view arms and armour from the critically acclaimed Lord of the Rings and Narnia feature films. On this visit, we enjoyed the temporary Roman Gladiator exhibition, which was well worth the small entry fee (the main museum remains free). A special mention to the kind lady at the desk who offered concession entry for NHS/Blue Light card holders – much appreciated. The museum could benefit from clearer signage, as it’s quite easy to lose oneself in the vast collection. I was a little bemused to find Steven Gerrard among the Tudor plate armour, but equally delighted to see Princess Diana represented in the peace exhibit – a thoughtful touch. The visit finished, as always, with a trip through the extensive and tempting gift shop. Overall, the Royal Armouries is a wonderful museum, full of history, surprises, and memories – well worth visiting, whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth.
Sam G — Google review
A wonderful place to visit. Free entry. Lots and lots of exhibitions covering many centuries. We spent couple of hours in here but needed much longer. It’s really well spaced out, so even though it was busy it wasn’t cramped. Air con was very welcome. Kids loved the show that was on. Lots and lots to do and see and it’s set at leeds dock which is also a fab place to visit
Glam N — Google review
Go early to catch as many shows as you can. We were there only able to catch the last 2 shows of the day. Hall of steel is an amazing hall to awe. A showcase in a gallery called Make Belief includes knife crime which is important for kids nowadays. A display on peace is too tug away. Though it is free admission, they seem keen on gaining donation to support the operation.

Fazenda Rodizio Bar & Grill Leeds is a Brazilian-style steakhouse that offers an authentic gaucho atmosphere. The restaurant provides a unique dining experience where servers carve up to 15 types of grilled meat at your table, including Picanha, Filet Mignon, and Contra File. You can enjoy unlimited servings by turning your card to green, signaling the passadores to bring freshly cooked cuts for you.
Delicious food! We went during lunch time, was very quiet on a Tuesday. Fast service, staff were attentive and even asked if we wanted any specific cuts of meat. Absolute favourite was the skirt! The sides are also really nice, I ordered 2 truffle chips for myself. More on the expensive side around £42 pp with service charge and charity donation. However I think it’s worth visiting

Visited recently to celebrate a family birthday at lunchtime. Good atmosphere with plenty of people in the restaurant. As usual the buffet is brilliant with a fabulous choice of foods available. Meat was very good too and lots available. We had a great time as a family. Once again ~ my only issue is the extortionate price of wine! I am fed up of restaurants in cities like Leeds charging ridiculous prices for wine. It was £44 for a bottle of orange wine! I buy this regularly from a wine merchant for £15 a bottle, yet here we are with almost 150% mark up! A lunchtime meal for 6 came to over £300. £36 was added for Service Charge and there was mention of an extra donation to charity. Neither of which I did. I have just returned from Porto and not one restaurant added a service charge.

We visited Leeds & Fazenda for our first wedding anniversary. We were really happy with our choice of restaurant! The service, food and aesthetic was perfect! All the waiters were friendly and paid attention to the fact I was pregnant so needed the meats more medium/well done. The cold buffet was lovely, meats were tasty and served frequently. Special mention to Eleazar who welcomed us and explained the menu. And also Vitor who served us later on and treated us to a free dessert to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Thank you so much for a lovely experience!
Chloe — Google review
We visited Fazenda recently in Leeds, to start with, the service was unfortunately poor as it was very rushed, we booked well in advance but felt like we were squeezed in for a half an hour slot by the way we were rushed. We felt pressured to order (food and drinks, not even just drinks) and told the waiter we needed more time to look at the menu after only been seated 2 minutes prior. They then returned around another couple minutes later to ask again- to which we said we still hadn’t decided. So the service was not great but the ladies on the front desk were lovely and very welcoming. We ordered wagyu steak and a few sides. The Fugazzeta I felt was very sickly, the wagyu empanadas were very dense but had a good flavour. The Croquetas de asados were beautiful and would definitely recommend. The steak could have been better considering the price, we were in and out within an hour so the experience was unfortunately rushed but I did really enjoy certain aspects of the food. The steak accompaniments were great and we really enjoyed the vinaigrette in particular. Just due to the service I don’t think we will be in a rush to come back unfortunately.

Perfect location, parking is literally .05m away at g wharf. Upon entering the sever was attentive and asked us for our reservation. The next server Spainish gentleman with the initials “E” gave us the best options, made sure that the birthday boy selected the charussco experience because that’s what you need to experience at a Brazilian restaurant. The mocktail was delicious (but needs to come in a bigger glass, lol). All the meats were fresh and cooked to your liking as the servers came around with the options. The sides choices also delicious and planet to select from the market table (salads, cheeses. Fresh olives, figs). Would we go again. HECK YEA!! Well done to the Fazenda Leeds location. Keep up the great food and service. One happy birthday boy & his paying parents.

Me and my partner came here for a few drinks on our anniversary and had a phenomenal time! Many thanks to our server Connor he went above and beyond with providing us with the best and genuine customer service which made our experience so much greater. He answered our questions with confidence and such enthusiasm which made it a pleasure to speak to him!! The drinks were fab as well, he made sure to tell us what to do and what was and wasn’t edible in the drinks such as the French kiss. The atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant was spot on as well and beautiful views from the rooftop terrace.

We came in excited to try the cocktails, but sadly the experience didn't match the price. We spent over £200 for three people, yet several cocktails were poorly made — unbalanced, strange-tasting, and clearly not prepared with care. The service and atmosphere were fine, but the drinks themselves really need improvement. With better consistency and attention to detail, this could be a great spot.
Gareth B — Google review
Mine looked nothing like it did online, it was pretty disappointing,. . French Kiss was a lovely cocktail, although.. at no point did the bar man tell us that the tongue in it wasn’t edible!! Cue my partner swallowing it. Should probably notify guests of this. He’d had a few drinks previous to this and just presumed it was a sweet tongue covered in popping candy. We laughed when I asked and was told it wasn’t. His own fault. But a little dangerous nonetheless.

The Botanist Trinity Leeds is a trendy cocktail bar and gastropub-style restaurant located within the bustling shopping center of Trinity Leeds. The venue offers a striking interior and serves botanical cocktails alongside kebabs and brunch options. It's part of a larger complex that houses 120 outlets, including clothing and homeware stores like Urban Outfitters, Damaged Society, and Curated Makers. Additionally, Trinity Kitchen provides a rotating selection of street food vendors in an industrial-chic space.
We loved having lunch at The Botanist! We really enjoyed the meat and the dessert, but one dish stood out — the cauliflower! It was incredibly delicious! We didn’t try it this time, but we saw that there’s an option to pay a fixed fee and get unlimited drink refills — it seems like a great choice to enjoy with friends. I visited on Wednesday evening, and I believe our server’s name was Sam. This was my very first time dining out since having stomach surgery, so I was honestly a bit nervous. I have a lot of dietary restrictions now, and eating out can feel intimidating. From the moment Sam greeted us, he couldn’t have been more understanding or accommodating. He took the time to really listen, answered every question with patience, and made me feel completely at ease about my meal choices. It’s rare to feel so genuinely cared for in a dining experience, and I truly appreciated his kindness and attention to detail. On top of the excellent service, the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I left feeling not only comfortable and safe, but also so grateful to have had such a positive first dining-out experience after surgery.

Tapas restaurant
Nestled in a basement beneath an unassuming office building, La Taberna Leeds is a cozy Spanish restaurant offering a variety of meat, seafood, and veggie tapas along with sangria and wine. Despite its small size, the rustic dining room exudes warmth and charm.
Hands down the best tapas I've ever eaten. La Taberna quickly became one of my favorite restaurants after visiting recently. Every dish was of a super high quality and made of the freshest ingredients. This place is miles ahead of a lot of tapas restaurants in surrounding areas. The sangria was crisp and refreshing, staff were attentive and friendly. Just an all around faultless experience and I look forward to visiting in the future.

Food was delicious and the service was excellent, a lovely little place that I definitely recommend - especially the aubergine fritters! Only small complaint/why have marked atmosphere down slightly is there was an off-putting smell coming from the direction of the toilets a couple of times. I think there may be some pipe issues or something but once they're sorted it would be five stars all round!

Everything was amazing, from the moment me and my family walked in the waiters were lovely and the food was 100/10. The waiting time isn't even long, and WOW. I'm so impressed at the chefs, all the food was on point, and we congratulated the team as we fortunately were some of the last to come out of the restaurant. It's literally a hidden gem in Leeds and I am DEFINITELY going back. By the way, the tapas by themselves are quite big, so roughly three is enough to fill you up :)

Oh my days what a beautiful little find this was..my friends are moving to Spain. So it was a celebration for them & also for my 40th. The waiter was awsosme. So friendly & made us try ordering in Spanish.. I didnt do so well on that but the eating was my thing lol! I cant wait to return with more friends to taste more of the dishes on the menu

We enjoyed a lovely meal here recently. The restaurant is intimate and definitely has an authentic Spanish vibe. The menu had all the classic tapas dishes plus more. We tried 6 between two of us and we struggled to finish them. The dishes are on the pricier side, but well worth it as they are cooked fresh, and are delicious. Would definitely recommend the chorizo and the prawns as they were our favourite dishes. The staff were really attentive and helpful with explaining the menu etc. A great place for a date night or to bring friends and family, just make sure you book!

Had a fantastic dinner at La Taberna! Ordered Sardinas, it was perfectly cooked, the Spanish omelette was spot on, and the croquettes were crispy. Gambas, steak, and churros made it a perfect meal!

Great food and excellent service, the waiter even persevered with my very mediocre Spanish all day. Recommend the fried aubergine!

It was early and quiet therefore atmosphere was limited, I think later in the evening it would be good. The service was excellent, super friendly. I thought the food was just so-so, it was fine, but nothing made me say wow, this is amazing.

Spanish restaurant
Tapas bar
Wine bar
Ibérica Leeds is a sophisticated Spanish dining room located in a converted auction house. It offers an elegant atmosphere and a long wine list. The restaurant features tapas, paella, artisan cheeses, and cured meats by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Nacho Manzano. This location is one of eight across the UK and only the third outside of London.
This place was on my restaurant bucket list for so long and finally tried it today. We were blown away by how authentic the experience was and how welcoming the staff were. Coleen welcomed us in as one of the first lunch customers. She provided a great wine recommendation using her own knowledge and my preferences. The £20 lunch special is amazing with generous portions, even better when in a group as you can all share. This is one of those places which is tucked away but worth a visit. We will be back for dinner.
Ruth M — Google review
The restaurant is lovely inside and the service was great, but the food was simply too expensive for what it was. I understand tapas are small plates usually for sharing but I didn’t think it was worth the money. The cheese/meat board was almost £20 for a very limited amount of cheese and meat. The croquettes and patatas bravas were good. We also got the corn fed baby chicken which was tasty but extremely small portion for about £18!
Kat — Google review
Iberica looks absolutely amazing on the inside, the aesthetics are wonderful its a shame the food doesn't quite match the same standard. 2 of us had 5 dishes between us and 1 alcohlic drink each costing us in and around £80. Between £10-£15 per tapas dish you'd expect the portion sizes to be worthy of this price, sad to say that they were not. The chorizio lollipops were nice but the actual chorizio wouldn't feed a mouse if you tried and the patatas bravas I could have done a better job with not just frying potatoes and lathering them in sauce, although again they were nice. I noticed the chefs touching the food without gloves on, i trust their hands are clean as should be the surfaces. Luckily i am someone without any food allergies but for someone with them i wouldn't be surprised about the possibility of cross contamination. On the positive side the staff were friendly and offered their recomendations of the lamb (pictured), which turned out to be utterly wonderful, the tenderness of the lamb made it obvious that it has been slow cooked for hours before hand and the garnishes gave it a perfect sweetness to it, with a half decent portion size to go with it. The authenticity of the spanish restaurant was kept as I overheard the waitresses speaking spanish which is a quality i really liked. I would reccomend this restaurant but only as a one time "for the experience" thing or maybe for a posh lunch, though you won't get far if you are trying to have plenty of alcohol but cost effective time as the only pint they offer, estrella, will cost you £7 a go, though the glasses of Rose are reasonably priced. Cant fault the staff they were friendly and offered recommendations and we were seen to pretty quickly at the same time as giving us plenty of time to think about our choices. And the toilets were really cool. 6.5/10

Really enjoyed our visit here. Beautiful building, very nice food and excellent service. Food wise we enjoyed the Chorizo lollipops, pan con tomate, tortilla and patatas bravas. We loved the Tempura hake, blue cheese salad, sherry mushrooms and the desserts. Excellent selection of Spanish wines too.

My family and I came to a celebrate a graduation on Tuesday, and we were amazed by the food and the efficient service I’d like to thank our server Malca for her efficient and attentive service, she was so welcoming to us even with a busy graduation crowd filling the restaurant We were greeted with a glass of cava each, which was a lovely surprise - My personal food recommendation would be the seafood paella, and the Sweet Potato with Lemon foam, but everything tasted divine ✨ Thank you! We can’t wait to come back

Beautiful birthday lunch enjoyed with my husband. It made a perfect oasis stop in the middle of Christmas shopping. Service was friendly and helpful, but not obtrusive. Tasty small dishes, but we were both satisfied by our meal. A real luxurious treat.
Claire-Lise H — Google review
This place is amazing! First of all the staff is lovely. All the tapas platters that we tried were brilliant. Padron peppers are amazing, but the greatest is the churros !!! We were a bit suspicious whether it would be the same food experience as we had in Spain. Frankly, it may even be more delicious. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and staff; basically everything is lovely. They forgot to bring my espresso and I have been informed that due to this inconvenience, the coffee will be on the house, which means that they care about their customers. There is a 12.5% service charge included in the bill which is completely deserved. Next time we will come with our group of friends to enjoy more and try paellas.
Gokberk S — Google review
The restaurant is a fantastic room, previously an auctioneers in a past life I believe. Interesting varied tapas menu. 5 star food, High end in parts, well cooked and priced accordingly. Only one issue. Initially service was good but at 9pm suddenly the serving staff and any eye contact disappeared. Suddenly it appeared more important to be clearing up to close and it took several requests from those passing by, and more than 20 minutes, just to settle up and leave. If you are going to include a service charge of 12% on the bill the end to end service experience needs to be good 🤔 Definitely worth a visit but service costs them a star.

Pub
English restaurant
Whitelock's Ale House, the oldest pub in Leeds, has a rich history dating back to 1715 when it was known as The Turks Head. Acquired by the Whitelock family in the 1880s, this atmospheric establishment has been frequented by notable figures like the Duke of Kent and John Betjeman.
Had a delicious Sunday roast at Leeds' oldest pub, first opened in 1715—over 310 years of history! The meat was tender, the roast potatoes were tasty (soaked in rich gravy), and the Yorkshire pudding was just right. A great spot for a proper traditional roast!

One of the best roasts in Leeds. Always miss the lamb but managed to snag it this time and it was spot on. Yorkies and gravy always top, as well as the pints. Had a lovely cask oat stout on. Love this pub.

We visited Whitelocks shortly after opening time (11am) just for a couple of drinks so i can't comment on the food. My friend Steven strongly recommended the Guinness and i have to say it was the best we have had in Leeds. It was rich and creamy - fantastic! The pub is superb with a lovely old style and copper topped tables. It is a very relaxing environment and the staff were friendly.

Really lovely old pub we had recommended to us for our short stay in Leeds. Lovely Ilkley Brewery beer on tap and a lot of local ale suggestions. Friendly staff patiently waited for us to make our selections. The roast coming past us looked absolutely delicious!

We booked the back area of Whitelock's for our post-wedding ceremony family gathering for food and drinks. Whitelock's is our favourite pub so we always knew we wanted to host it there if we could! As soon as we made the enquiry, the team were so helpful and accommodating for all of our needs. The food was absolutely lovely, and even though we were quite loud and had a few crazy kids running around - the staff left us to party but were always there if we needed anything! Thank you so much to everyone at Whitelock's for making our day so special. Life long memories were made and everyone in our wedding party absolutely loved it. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to host a special celebration, in Leeds' best pub!

Indian restaurant
Mowgli Street Food in Leeds, located on Boar Lane, offers a delightful dining experience with its enchanting ambiance filled with fairy lights, hanging lanterns, and even swings at some tables. The restaurant is owned by renowned chef Nisha Katona and is known for serving sensational Indian street food. Customers can enjoy a variety of dishes such as gunpowder chicken, Himalayan cheese toast, and tiffin boxes filled with curry.
An amazing dining experience, we tried the set £35 per head menu with only one meat option as my wife is vegetarian. But everything was amazing. Each dish was bursting with flavour and super well presented. The staff were excellent and service was speedy but very friendly. The restaurant has a great look about it with fairy lights and plants everywhere. I'm terrible with names so I can't post the names of the dishes I had but everyone of them was amazing. I will definitely be visiting again.

We were served by the delightful Harley in Mowgli Leeds, Harley was brilliant with us being that we were there with friends to celebrate my husbands birthday. Harley was really kind and knowledgeable, explaining the menu to us and making sure we didn't feel rushed. All enjoyed the street food sharer for £25pp we received a table full of Mowgli’s iconic dishes! We didn't know what to expect as this was recommended by a friend, and my understanding was that it wasn't like the Indian we have come to know. Mowgli is all about the type of food that Indians cook and eat at home the dishes full of fresh, bright, intense flavour and were more like an Indian taps, the food at Mowgli felt so more healthy than normal Indian food. The decor at Mowgli Leeds was beautifully simple. The restaurant felt very clean. We definitely plan to return. Thank you, Harley, for a lovely experience.

Lovely food and service. We opted for the street food sharer. Its a good amount of food for 2 people. Drinks tasted AMAZING, my husband opted for the alcohol free as he was driving, and the options were fantastic. There is a good range available with food, and it caters to pretty much every dietary requirement.

I had such a great solo dining experience - the Mowgli Leeds team were kind, attentive and really helped me feel at ease. Particularly loved the angry bird chicken and the old fashioned. It would be great if there was a set meal option for solo diners, though.
Joanna C — Google review
Love the food at Mowgli as it's a little bit different; fruity and spice and all things nice; every mouthful has lots of flavour and the heat gently creeps in but doesn't overwhelm the dish. Staff were great in their advice - especially as it was a very hot day. The 2 starters were just what the doctor ordered! Love the decor too. All that was missing was Nisha!
Irene Z — Google review
Mowgli has started to become a little bit more expensive in recent years which is slightly disappointing. The food does however remain high quality and delicious. My only complaint would be that the sides could benefit from having some more inventive and healthy choices. Some vegetables would be nice to have alongside the meal to balance it out.

Chef Jono at V&V is a stylish and celebrated fine dining restaurant in Leeds, known for its modern British tasting menus, craft cocktails, and wine selection. The restaurant offers a unique Sunday lunch experience with a changing monthly menu that presents familiar ingredients in innovative ways. Chef Jono gained fame after appearing on Masterchef: The Professionals in 2020 and is recognized for his creative and delicious dishes.
Had an absolutely incredible dining experience at Vice and Virtue last night with the kids. Chef Jono is, without a doubt, the best chef in Leeds—his creativity and attention to detail shine through in every dish. The food was nothing short of phenomenal, and the drinks pairings, including the bespoke non-alcoholic option made just for me, were out of this world. The service was impeccable—attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The whole experience was elevated by the amazing atmosphere, making it the perfect place for a special night out. We had to miss a previous booking, and to my surprise, Chef Jono went out of his way to prepare some of his legendary Rhaman Broth for me to take home to my wife—a true testament to the hospitality and passion at Vice and Virtue. If you're looking for exceptional food, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and first-class service, this is the place to go. Absolutely five stars—highly recommended!
Michael L — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed our first food tasting experience at V&V. Chef Jono's food is incredible. Beautiful flavours expertly seasoned. We were looked after so well from the moment we arrived with such attentive customer service and so many wonderful flavours and textures that I kept saying ‘wow!’ We were so well looked after by the staff as well Every course was delicious and presented so perfectly. I will definitely be going back.
Craig — Google review
This was one of the most disappointing tasting menu we've experienced in UK/Europe. The dishes lacked creativity and the flavors were surprisingly bland. Overall, it felt uninspired and failed to deliver on both taste and presentation.
Angie T — Google review
Stunning experience, adapted food as much as they could for wife’s garlic intolerance. Only thing missing was able to have a jus with the Sunday dinner as that meant her Yorkshire pudding was dry. But flavour combinations, combined with high quality cooking blew our minds. The service was high class and is how hospitality should be done, just brilliant from everyone making us feel so welcome. The signed menu was a nice touch. One of the best food experiences ever
Karl F — Google review
Another amazing food tasting visit to Chef Jono. Was hard to choose a favourite dish, as all delicious. Service was fantastic too. Take a very empty tummy as portions are filling. Chef and staff were very kind and let me take home some portions at the end that we couldn't fit in, so we didn't miss out. Loved the Chef take on steak pie when I got home and have just eaten the Mushroom Tiramisu for breakfast, Best breakfast I have ever had! Definitely worth booking if you enjoy tasting menus or just love food. They also do a 5 course Sunday lunch menu that we would like to try.
Mummy B — Google review
Odd one for me this. I want to preface with...my god, this man can cook. Chef Jono's food is incredible. Beautiful flavours, expertly seasoned, and served exquisitely. My issues here are the pacing and the dish choices, meaning that I currently would NOT recommend the signature tasting menu, and would instead recommend the lunch tasting menu or Sunday roast. In terms of dish choice, it was a lot of dense and rich food. The mackerel course was the only one that felt light, and there were no one-biters. Again want to state that the food quality is exceptional. The (excellent) malt loaf should have been a third of the size, and the (incredible) Not French Onion Soup almost finished us off, and that was halfway through. Adding to this, the pacing of the courses was too fast. I've never been to a full tasting menu that was done in two hours. We were almost done after one. Thankfully, service staff noticed and asked if we needed a break after the main courses. We did. We were uncomfortable. Finally, I think the decor needs a little work. We were sat with a light overhead that felt like we were in an interrogation. So bright. Really distracting, although excellent for food photos. We'd ask for a different table next time. So yeah. Can't speak highly enough of the food or the staff, but the tasting menu needs some more thought.

⭐ V&V Review ⭐ We visited V&V for our ten-year wedding anniversary, and the experience couldn’t have been more special. The team even presented us with a signed menu wishing us a happy anniversary — such a thoughtful touch that made the evening feel truly personal. The tasting menu was outstanding, with multiple layers of flavour carefully built into each dish. Standouts included the perfectly cooked seabass, a playful mushroom tiramisu, and a refined take on fish pie. The wine pairings were exceptional — clearly the result of significant effort and expertise — and enhanced every course. Staff were passionate, engaged, and genuinely engaging, bringing warmth to the sophistication of the décor and overall atmosphere. ✨ V&V delivers an exceptional balance of creativity, precision, and hospitality — a memorable place for any special occasion. ✨

I normally have a really good experience at trinity kitchen but today I decided to try a new food truck they have called ‘Asian heat Mexican Street’ and I ordered the birria ramen. When the bowl initially came out it looked pretty good and I let it sit for around 2 minutes whilst it cooled down a bit because their food is all extremely fresh. However when it came to eating it I found there was no broth under the noodles despite it being on the menu description, the meat was dry and there was barely even any meat just fat leaves of bok Choi and an excess of noodles. They were dry and sticky and I ultimately couldn’t eat it as I literally got given plain noodles with no flavour. The service was lovely however and the workers were so nice so all they need to work on is their menu items. Please don’t go here and get the birria ramen as I have been left very disappointed and mourning my waste of money since I’m still hungry after eating there. They also had really lovely chips so good on them for doing that right as well.

HanaMatsuri is a cozy Japanese eatery located on Meanwood Road in Leeds, known for its transition from an exclusive sushi bar to a more relaxed izakaya-style restaurant. The restaurant offers a variety of cooked Japanese dishes, sushi rolls, and sake options. Chef Kaoru Nakamura showcases exemplary knife skills and uses fresh fish mainly sourced from Cornwall.
We really enjoyed our time here! The attention to detail, the amazing service and of course delicious food! We were introduced to many types of new seafood, ways of cooking, tastes and textures! We love the seasonal menu and will definitely be coming again for a special occasion 🤍🍽

So glad to see this place open again and serving sushi! The food is so high quality and prepared with such skill. The service is excellent - very attentive and friendly. Everything we ate was delicious, we ordered seconds of several things. The sake selection is great too. Would recommend and will definitely be back.

Now serving izakaya which is a kind of Japanese tapas. Much more accessible and affordable than when it was a sushi restaurant and you can now turn up without booking which is a bonus. A good selection of very tasty Japanese dishes. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful food that is prepared and presented with great care! So tasty, atmosphere felt authentic, and service was attentive without being overbearing. We were sat at the bar facing the chef so could watch the sushi being prepared, which was very cool to watch! It was also really affordable - myself and two friends paid £13 each for three dishes, and were kindly given many cups of free green tea. Unsure why Google suggests a meal would cost £100+ because it is much, much cheaper!!

The best Japanese sushi experience I have had. I had been wanting to go to Hana Matsuri for so long and finally went and it delivered beyond expectation. The Omakase menu was sublime, all ingredients were put together perfectly and the quality was absolutely on point. It's expensive of course, but worth it if you enjoy incredible food and a great experience. The chef was happy to explain dishes to use and any other questions.
Oli P — Google review
Sushi Bar HanaMatsuri is an unassuming, intimate, gem of an establishment. Today I experienced the Omakase menu. It is worth noting to anyone unfamiliar with the concept, that Omakase means “I’ll leave it to you”. In other words, the chef will prepare a series of dishes over the course of a meal combining the chef’s experience, knowledge and what product is in season. From my experience today I can say that it is clear that chef prioritises sourcing only fresh, seasonal, high quality ingredients. Having visited many Japanese restaurants and sushi bars across the UK I can say without a doubt, you should come to Sushi Bar HanaMatsuri if you want to experience high quality, authentic, Japanese sushi. Thankyou for your hospitality and for the delicious food. It was an absolute pleasure. Until next time!
Karim S — Google review
I'm lucky enough to have visited Japan and this place is an absolute gem of an authentic Japanese sushi restaurant, tucked away in Meanwood. From the outside its modest looks and closed blinds give nothing away and certainly don't tempt you in. However, inside lies an experience that will transport you to Japan for an hour or two. You must pre-order your food because the priority here is freshest sashimi you can possibly find. Your ingredients are bought in especially for you. The chef/ owner specialises only in sushi (there is no ramen or tempura available) and that's what makes it amazing. We had a sashimi tasting menu which was mind blowing. The care and dedication lavished on each dish was obvious. The food is prepared directly in front of you (the theatre of watching is magical) and served seconds after it is finished. The Japanese government publishes a list of officially approved Japanese restaurants in Europe. This is one of only 10 outside London in the UK. Book now while you have the chance. Went back again this month (July 2020) and were the first "post lockdown" diners! Updated menu, still amazing. We think this restaurant deserves a Michelin star it's that good. It has already achieved an entry in the Michelin guide so don't wait around!

Jigsaw Juniors Horsforth is a fantastic indoor playground that offers a wide range of activities and options for food and drinks. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience for visitors. One of the highlights is the well-designed sensory room, which has separate sections for different age groups, catering to both younger babies and older children. This sets it apart from other establishments where older kids may have to wait or sneak in.
Who knew it was possible to find a clean, well looked after, non sticky, non stinky soft play where people actually watched their children so that even the younger children could enjoy themselves without being knocked down? Great selection of delicious food for all ages, and a good amount of it being healthy choices too, as well as some nice treat options. With it being smaller than your average soft play it feels much more controlled and respectful and staff are lovely. Will definitely be back with friends thanks for having us

This a smallish soft play venue probably bettered suited to the under 3s. Our granddaughter is 4 and seemed a lot older than the majority of children here. There are several slides, small trampolines and a sensory room. You can purchase meals, sandwiches and all manner of sweets and drinks.

Great little soft play! Plenty to do, plenty of food and drink to choose from and the staff are lovely! Really nice little sensory room too which has a section for under 12m and over 12m which I really liked, a lot of sensory rooms are for younger babies but my daughter loves all the sensory stuff so was nice she could actually be in there rather than having to wait for the babies to leave and sneak in which we usually have to do in other places 😂

This is a great little soft play and its well-maintained. We booked a party here and the kids enjoyed it. The staff that were on were nice and friendly but I do feel that, for £179 for room hire only, for 1.5 hrs, the staff could maybe have helped us out with setting up decorations and helped us put out food for the kids. They did do the announcements which was very helpful for keeping the party timings and cut the cake at the end, but we did everything else during the party, I didn't realise staff just mostly stayed behind the counter and thought they'd be more involved. I just think for that price the staff should help out a bit more, and should have offered to put some music on for us or asked if we wanted to put on a playlist. Just some constructive feedback--if paying that amount of money its nice to get very good service and feel looked after rather than left to it! But was lucky to have lots of other parents helping out, and also grateful to be able to use the venue.

Having not been for a few years this place has gone downhill. I was in the baby sensory room & the mirrors on the ceiling really need cleaning. The bubble machine has gone all green & murky & the battery operated toys don't work. It just seems like they haven't bothered to maintain it. By 1.30 everyone else had gone & the staff were sat chatting having their lunch instead of behind the counter. I was shocked because it always used to be packed. The food was nice but the coffee was naff for the price.

Just had my sons 5th birthday party here and it was brilliant. The lady looking after us took care of it all and nothing was too much for her. Anything we asked for she provided and went above and beyond. Great selection of food for the kids, lovely hot drinks for the adults and the kids loved all the soft play. Thank you.

One of the smaller soft plays but a really lovely sensory room for babies, nice food and friendly staff. We had our daughter's fourth birthday here, everyone enjoyed themselves and it was all really easy for us!

Good first trip here today with 3 1/2 month old. Nice little baby room which our little one loved. A few of the toys in the baby room didn't work but I would say this would of been rectified had we notified the friendly staff but we forgot to mention it on way out. Looked brilliant soft play for older kids too. Very clean.

Brunch restaurant
FINT is a charming restaurant and bar located in the northern part of Leeds, offering a delightful blend of Nordic-inspired cuisine. The eatery prides itself on serving organic and seasonal dishes with a Scandinavian twist. With a focus on brunch and daytime dining, FINT presents an array of delectable options such as homemade crumpets, salmon gravadlax, pork belly Bokkeumbap, gnocchi with cashew cream, and truffled cauliflower soup.
Came for a quick coffee and was seated by the lovely server named Reece. Had a mocha and the crumpets and would definitely come back. Service was quick and the server was lovely to chat too. Will definitely be coming back

I've never had such poor service. We ordered drinks, which we waited on for over 15mins, when we asked the bottle was just left on the bar for all this time. The staff all seemed to have smoked a large joint beforehand as they were so relaxed and quiet frankly didn't care. 20mins after placing our food order, the waiter came back and said they didn't have the dish in a casual tone, they didn't even provide a menu for us to look over to choose something else and no apology whatsoever. When we asked them to get one they huffed and returned, we had to prompt them to see if anything else wasn't available. We then ordered again and waited around another 25mins. When the food finally came, it was lovely. But, we hadn't even finished and a waiter came over to tell us they are bringing the bill as they close now... No choice for desert or anything. Staff were also eating in the restaurant on shift and went out to smoke in the front of the building for everyone to see. A real shame. If you don't mind poor service (which is automatically added to you bill btw), the food is lovely.

First time visiting, very disappointing experience all around. Even though we had a table booked, service was slow, it felt like they were avoiding us, not checking in, not making eye contact. Very little interaction from the front of house staff who were clearly struggling to manage the volume of people they had seated. When our coffees finally came we were not provided sugar or a spoon to stir with. After waiting for my friend's drink for over 45 mins we were finally told after chasing that they don't actually have the ingredients for a green smoothie and should have been told, which obviously we have not been. The replacement drink came in a broken cup which is a health and safety hazard and I'm sure not okay to do so under any circumstances. The kitchen was an hour behind on orders but again we received no communication from the staff regarding this. The table next to us who arrived later started receiving bits of their order before us. The pancakes one of my friends ordered came separately 20 mins before the rest of our orders and again not provided cutlery, had to chase staff for it. When we finally received the rest of the food, we ordered 3 FINT breakfasts all 3 of the plates looked different and contained different things. Bits missing from one, doubles of other stuff on others completely inconsistent and annoying. The sausage was burnt, the bacon was a bit under done, poched egg over cooked, complete inconsistency with who's got what kind of bread. Whatever was missing they tried to make up for it in the number of crumpets. I'm sure a food is lovely when it's a normal day and not struggling with orders but this was our experience unfortunately. The whole experience left us very disappointed and we did end up asking for the food to be comped off the bill, which they did without argument.

This was such a great place, food was amazing. Staff we so accommodating, only complaint was that it wasn’t busier! Admittedly it was 1pm on a Tuesday!

We’ve been to Fint before (Oct 2023), and last time, I had what was easily my favourite breakfast ever. So, we were really looking forward to going back, but honestly, it was such a disappointment. Every element of the breakfast was subpar. The sausage tasted like Quorn rather than the delicious, unique one I had last time, the egg was overcooked and dry, the mushrooms were absolutely inedible because they were so heavy on the aniseed, and the beans were somehow both watery and dry. The toast was low quality, and the potato pancake, which was previously light and crispy, was just greasy stodge. On top of that, the service wasn’t great, and it really feels like the whole place has gone downhill. It seems like they’ve swapped out all their high-quality ingredients for cheap alternatives but kept the same (very high) prices. It’s such a shame because we loved it before, but after this experience, we won’t be returning. The first two photos are today compared to the same meal around 1.5 years ago.

The food is just absolutely incredible. I'd never eaten Scandinavian before and I definitely will again. Our server, Reece, was so lovely and helpful and seemed genuinely very happy that we'd enjoyed it. The restaurant is a little on the cold side but that could just be me! Nothing a glass of wine can't fix. Will definitely be visiting again.

We were disappointed by Fint. We booked a table for 10:30 on a Saturday and just got the vibe that nobody could be bothered. Some of the menu items were unavailable despite it being half empty and when we asked if something could be slightly amended we were told “no it’s pre prepared”. The food wasn’t spectacular and the eggs were overcooked in my opinion. We also noticed that there were some grotty patches such as dust on the bar and LOTS of dust in the loos.

Really simple but sophisticated flavours. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the sweetcorn soup was probably the best soup I've ever had in my life - so creamy and delicious. Shared a bottle of wine between three of us and it was very reasonable.
